This is Adriana’s Recap I am posting it for her

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 49 – Part 1 of 2

Carlota is at the Guerrero’s house, when she has a small fainting spell. She’s sure this means she’s pregnant. She can’t wait to tell Jesus, maybe they should go together and confirm her pregnancy. Valero finds her asleep in Jesus’ bed.

Mariluz goes back inside the burning house to get Domenica out. She’s passed out on the floor, Mari manages to drag her outside, Domenica is barely awake, but she seems fine. The doctors put her on some oxygen, and Mari has a burn on her hand, but they are both doing OK.

Conchita gets a clean bill of health from her doctor. She and Lupita are about to hurry home to start cooking their pozoles when Bertie arrives with the news of the explosion.

After once again she treats Emma horribly and grounds her, Victoriana finds out that her plan worked, she is overjoyed. But then, just as Augie arrives, too, Mica comes running with news about the explosion. And Domenica was apparently inside the Garcia’s house!

They arrive to find Domenica on a stretcher, but doing very well all things considered. She tells her parents that Mari saved her life. Augie, Domenica and (a very reluctant) Victoriana thank Mariluz. But the Garcias are very sad, their home went up in flames, and with that all their money and the nice pozoleria that they had managed to create. Bertie tries to encourage them, they will find a way to rebuild, they always do. Augie looks on.

When Domi realizes the entire house is destroyed, she asks her dad for help. Victoriana is adamant that they should not help. Lupe wants to go inside, try to save some belongings. But the fireman says the place is dangerous for now. Bertie offers them to live at his place as long as they need. But Augie disagrees, they will stay at HIS house! Lupe doesn’t want to hear of it, but when Augie offers the bungalow Conchita agrees to go, because staying with Bertie would cause too many rumors. Mari would rather go to a hotel, but Conchita makes it clear they don’t have one dime. Augie insists they will stay in the bungalow and he will put some men on their house, to keep an eye on it. Conchita is the one who has the final word, they will go stay at Augie’s! When Domenica invites them to stay, too, Lupe finally agrees. Victoriana can’t even!!!

Selena is finishing a dance class and then she calls Sam, who is still waiting for Domenica to arrive at jail. She offers to go check on her. The detective says that if the witness doesn’t get there soon, Damian will be transferred to Puebla.

Rodrigo is upset with Renata, because of her now everybody knows they are two nasty pieces of sh!t.

Jesus is afraid Augie might have convinced Domenica not to declare. He goes to tell this to Damian, who can’t believe that. Jesus promises to get him out of jail no matter what.

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 49 – Part 2 of 2

Selena arrives to remind Domenica about the Guerreros. She tells Augie she has to leave, he disagrees, but Mari offers to drop her off. Augie then wants to take Conchita and Lupe home, but first they plan to go grab their Virgencita de Guadalupe, even against the fireman’s request.

Damian is about to be taken away, Jesus and Abel try to stop him. Abel asks for the documents ordering the transfer, Jesus says they are doing things illegally. Domenica arrives just as Jesus is about to name the real killer.

Augie is on the phone, finding out that Damian was allowed to leave the jail. Fede calls from Morelia to say the Elisa will have an exhibit the next day. Augie wants to go meet her.

Santiago is sure Augie will want to hurt Elisa. But she has to do it for her sons, she will meet him in a public place, Augie won’t dare to do something in front of all the people present at the exhibit.

Jesus and Mari are waiting for news on Damian. He’d like to know what happened to her, but she only cares about freeing Damian. He is worried about her, if something where to happen to her, he’d die. He loves and misses her so much. Mari pushes him away just in time for the detective to get back.

Following Adrian’s advice to be honest, Emma makes a video for her followers: she didn’t publish the latest video, someone hacked her. She plans to be honest all the time from now on. She starts talking about her diabetes and the fact that her illness didn’t stop her from living her life. She also has future plans, she wants to become a journalist, but this channel has helped her improve; nobody has the perfect life and she’s tired of pretending.

Damian is out, Sam and Jesus hug him tight! They tell Damian to go home, have a shower, they have other plans, Augie wants to send that rotten milk the next day and they have to stop him.

Augie is about to get a new reconocimiento, it will help with his future career in politics. Augie plays the modesty card, but it appears he already has some interested investors.

Jesus and Sam are back at the warehouse, their plan is to ruin all the bags of milk.
Damian is back home, outside Domenica’s window. He climbs up, finds her asleep, and wakes her up. He’s worried about her, she saved him! She apologizes for ever doubting him, he thinks it’s normal, because he has hidden things from her in the past. Not only the fact that he was in jail before, there are many other things. For now he has to leave the city, but if everything works out well, then he will be able to tell her the entire truth. Domenica sees this as a breakup, he says he can’t go on like this. Sorry!

Guerrero

Thank you Adriana, for your recap of yesterday's episode! I meant to comment yesterday and then I got busy with my Camino recap and forgot. As always I am amazed at your ability to capture everything so succinctly, I wish I had that skill!

I hope Damian is going to the art exhibit!!! I know the rotten milk is a problem that needs attention but I want to see mother and sons reunited!!! But then again, if the Guerreros and Augi all show up at the exhibit that might blow the Guerrero cover.

It always amazes me how men like Augi can be adored. He's not even particularly good at hiding his unpleasant side and yet most everyone seems to think he's wonderful and now he has investors lining up to support his political career! sigh

Speaking of Elisa, this has been bugging me and I don't know if it's the resolution of the screen I'm watching on, or unfortunately timing with shadows while filming, or the makeup job but Elisa to me looks like her face is bruised in most scenes, it's very distracting. Is anyone else noticing this? I'm a little disappointed she plans to be at the exhibit, though it should make for an interesting confrontation. I was anticipating her showing up at Augi's while Augi and Fede were at the exhibit, and someone from the garage would spot her; then we could have the mother/sons reunion with the baddies far far away and out of luck!

So not even nearly killing her own daughter in her stupid plot and having Mariluz save Domi's life is enough to stem Vicky's selfishness for even a second! She's still arguing to leave the ladies out on the street and do absolutely nothing to help them!!! It's not really surprising just jarring and stupid. Stupid because anyone with the most minimal understand of Augi and Domi would know she didn't have a chance of winning that argument, she just makes herself look like the horrible witch that she is! I hope she ends up in jail for her crimes, if she lives til the end of this tale.

Guerrero. Excellent succinct recap, Adriana! Oh my! A cliche pregnancy symptom for Carlota! And Mariluz is just incredibly brave! Ugh! When will Vicki finally get hers? That was a nice save of Damian's innocence. Of course, we were pretty sure that would happen. Still, it was pretty tense for a while. Maybe it's a little early for Elisa and her sons to be reunited, Darcy. But I'm sure the plot-line will keep teasing us about it. I have noticed that Elisa's face looks a bit worn. Could she be supposed to have some scarring from some Augi-induced attempt on her life?

Guerrero - Capítulo 5O Part 1 of 3

Jesús and Sam have foiled Augi’s evil milk plan by destroying the sacks of powdered milk. They hide when goons arrive and draw their guns.

Honest Emma is getting great feedback on her latest post including an invitation from Belén to get to know each other better. They make plans to hang out the next day.

Mica is attending Las García in the bungalow. Mari is worried Carloca won’t be happy. Mica blabs that she’s not even eating since Augi chewed her out for literally bombing at Mari’s party.

Sam is nervous the jig is up as the henchmen approach. The brothers reassure each other and get ready to fight. Damián calls.

Mari missed her job interview but tomorrow she’ll get up early and explain what happened to the possible employers. Sir Talks-a-Lot visits the bungalow. 319 words later he reveals that the cause of the fire was an open tank of gas. Lupe says, “No way, José!” Conchita agrees. 188 words later he encourages them to think about reconstruction.

Damián MacGuyver Sánchez somehow slips the brothers a rope to climb out of the building, Not enough? He also puts the goons’ truck in reverse and honks the horn. The goons withdraw and chase after their runaway truck.

Yackety Yak also tells Las García the explosion was arson. Det. Mari knows the culprit, and this time she won’t be quiet.

Valero tells Carloca that Jesús won’t be home anytime soon. With all due respect, it would be reckless for her to be alone with Valero in such a dangerously romantic place. She’s amused and wants to know where Jesús is. Taking care of business, says Valero. Carloca takes leave but wants Jesús to come see her tomorrow. She has something very important to tell him.

Augi (½ Pomp) comes downstairs and demands to know why Carlota is nowhere to be found. Mommy Dearest says she left
earlier (after threatening MD, no less). The missing daughter returns, and Augi puts her in the hot seat (couldn’t help it). She’s not having any of it. MD says, “See? Triggered.” The interrogation continues when Las García burst in and Mark starts accusing Carlota. First she lit up Mari’s party; now she’s blown up the Pozolería. The accused clutches invisible pearls, and everyone looks around (in classic soap opera pre-commercial fashion).

Back at the garage. Jesús wants an update on his missing phone. He learns it’s nowhere to be found. They realize this is the only evidence they had against Augi. Undeterred, the brothers will soldier on. They all agree to drop the daughters from the plan. “Samu” enthusiastically votes YES on removing the hijas

Guerrero - Capítulo 5O Part 2 of 3

Carlota claims not to know anything about these fires (or even visit these places where fires occurred). Nobody in the room is buying it. MD’s claws come out. “You almost killed your sister. Lunatic, what were you thinking? You’re freakin’ unstable.” Note: slight paraphrasing. Carlota pleads her innocence to Augi. She didn’t do anything, and Mari only wants to steal Jesús!

Los Guerrero are shifting gears. They must find their mother. Damián says they can see her tomorrow in Morelia. Jesùs thinks it may be a trap. They can’t all go at once. It’s time to eat; Adrián has made enchiladas. Valero tells Jesùs that Carlota wants to see him tomorrow. He will go; it’s time to stop leading her on.

Carloca begs Augi not to send her back to treatment. MD pokes the bear and says the next house to go in flames will be their own manse. Carloca LUNGES at MD demanding she shut the front door. This scene is so fun. MD jumps behind Augi for protection. Everyone is shouting. Augi will call the doctor, and treatment will resume tomorrow. He leaves them alone(!), and Carloca immediately calls MD out for setting her up. She will tell Augi, and he will put MD out for almost killing MD’s #1 servant (Doménica). SLAP!!! Carlota tries to slap back, but MD has the upper hand. She will never be released from the loony bin, and Augi will never believe a word Carlota says. MD viciously calls her “crazy” and locks her in the room as a warm-up for treatment.

Mica y Las García debate Carloca’s guilt. What’s clear is that the girl is sick. Lupe is glad Villalba left. Imagine all his sentences after witnessing such a scene. Mica calls her “Carluquis” and does a chronology of all her burns. Augi (full Pomp) comes in and apologizes. Mari apologizes. He defends Carlota but understands why they are suspicious. He wants to help, but Lupe and Conchita decline. He wants them to know they have his full support. Guadaloopy says they should leave since Carloca probably doesn’t want them there. Augi tells them she’s going away to “relax,” and asks them for an extended stay and discretion. Conchita feigns offense at being asked to be discreet.

Carlota is loaded into a van and carted away as Mari looks on.

Don’t look now, but Jesús is writing in his MAN DIARY. We get a history montage while Jesús narrates how Augi is behind everyone’s suffering. Valero randomly breaks a plate interrupting the narration. It resumes, and Jesús pledges his love for Mari. He can’t quit her.

Lupe has found a pen, notepad, and calculator in the bungalow. Now she will give Jesús a run for the diary money with her own journal. Go, Guadaloopy!!! Augi brings blankets and finds her crying. She pushes him away. She doesn’t want anything to do with him. He thinks she should lose the ridiculous, so-called Cowboy zero and get with a real hero (himself). She defends Wordy Wordpecker. Ah, but he doesn’t know her like Augi does (per Augi). He’d give up his fortune to have her back. Not a day goes by they he doesn’t regret losing her. MD is cold and half the mother Lupe is with Mariluz. He made a mistake. I liked you , she says. You loved me, he says. Accept it. I’m the only man you’ve ever loved. They kiss.

Back home, MD is telling Fede via phone about his inept hooligan crew. They almost killed Meni, and now Las García are staying in her house. A security guard comes in so she pretends she’s taking to a girlfriend. He can’t find Augi. She quickly realizes where he is. This is the last straw.

The bungalow beso continues then stops. This shouldn’t be, she says. You feel the same way I do, he says. You left me first, she says, and you’re still married to that woman. At this point I don’t care, he says, I only wants to be with you. MD is marching to the bungalow. Ruh oh. Lupe tells him to leave; he does. Augi & MD almost cross paths as he walks back to the main house.

Guerrero - Capítulo 5O Part 3 of 3

MD storms into the house and finds no one. Conchita is snoring quite vigorously (LOL). Lupe is crying in a corner somewhere. MD storms out and slams the door - waking Conchita up. She thinks it s gunfire.

Augi can’t believe Operation Orphan Milk has been bungled. Three dudes were seen in the area, but security has no other details. He knows it was Los Sánchez. He orders a new batch of milk from the market since he only has a day to donate. He can’t lose his candidacy.

D. Abel has test results and confirms the milk was contaminated . It never would have passed quality control. Jesús borrows his phone and sends an anonymous untraceable tip (to the press?). Now all they have to do is wait.

The next day (in Morelia) Fede is getting the milk bombshell news via phone. It’s being reported that a batch of contaminated milk was secretly destroyed before being donated. The donor is identified as Augi.

MD is accusing Augi of all kinds of wrongdoings with Lupe. He begs her to shut up and put on a family-friendly face for their pending press conference. The conference is torpedoed by the press demanding answers about the milk. Augi calls it a political attack and defends his donation.

I’m not exactly sure about this scandal. Wouldn’t it appear Augi saved the day by destroying rotten milk? Having victims of his previous donations testify would be much more incendiary. I’m a little lost by this story arc. Nevertheless, he goes into full save-the-children politician mode.

Damián is getting ready to go meet Elisa. Jesús gives him a smoke bomb(!) for protection. He also has their daddy’s knife. Sam has found some brilliant costumes (Aviator shades and a baseball cap).

Random Education PSA: possible employer tells Mari she will have a much better stab at jobs if she learns English.

The brothers bid Damián farewell. Domenica watches from across the street.

Augi is back home - visiting with Domís. She is worried about him and the attack on his character. She asks if he’ll investigate. He will, but he wants to talk about her and how she’s doing. She broke up with Damián, and she’s sure that makes Augi very happy. He says nothing that hurts her is good news for him. He has a proposition. Why doesn’t she go back to the foundation projects? She has his full support. They hug.

Mica is bringing Valero up to speed on all the happenings in her house. She finds it odd that before treatment, Carlota was gone all afternoon. Where could she have been? Valero suggestively says, “With me!” Mica almost blows a gasket (LOL). He clarifies that she was waiting at the garage in Jesús’ rooom. In Valero’s version of events, Carlota stayed until smooth-talking lawyer Don Abel got there and convinced her to go home. Were scenes cut here? Either way, Mica realizes that Carlota couldn’t have been the fire-starter.

At the “rest clinic,” Carlota monologues that she has to speak to Jesús. Flashback to the break up. She says they cannot beakup. He must be her baby’s daddy.

Augi asks Jesús to do the right thing and stay away from Carlota. Not to be outdone Jesús says ok. If he can’t be Augi’s son-in-law, the least he can do is help him with those Sánchez!

Guerrero

Thank you O.S. for another fantastic recap!! What a nice surprise this morning!!! I'm double excited because yesterday was such a busy day for me. I watched but I was so distracted and I missed so much - which you have so graciously filled in for me!

I love all the nicknames for Sir Talks-a-Lot!! And 'Imagine all his sentences after witnessing such a scene.' No kidding!!! Your wit had me laughing away this sunny morning!

I guess it's a good thing that Belen and Emma become friends, anything would be a step up from Renata but it bugs me that it doesn't appear as if Belen will apologize for anything she did or that anyone thinks she needs to. Then again, when you're used to a 'best friend' like Renata, and you have a mother like MD, I suppose you know nothing about healthy boundaries and being treated with respect.

I can't wait to see if Damian actually meets Mommy on Monday!! I also start my new job on Monday so hopefully it will be a good day all around! :)

About the whole milk scandal. I think it still reflects badly on Augi because the milk was being supplied by him. So the shipment was ruined at the last minute and didn't go, and it was learned it was spoiled. Augi still almost sent spoiled milk to the children. What if it hadn't been discovered? Also, did Augi get the credit for discovering the bad milk and stopping the shipment? Or was it reported that someone else discovered it and stopped it? In which case, Augi would have sent the milk if he hadn't been stopped which also looks bad. I don't know which case is true because of the whole distracted watching, but those are some possibilities.

Damián MacGuyver Sánchez - LOL I love it!!!

"GUERRERO":

Darcy: Good Job on the recap from yesterday afternoon's episode.

Guerrero. Great recap, O.S.! I'm surprised that Mari apparently hadn't studied at least a little English in high school or college. "Sir Talks-A-Lot"--I too love it! How Cervantine! I also loved "Damian McGyver Sanchez." Am I wrong or was it hinted in this episode that Carlota has an alibi unknown even to her for the explosion at the pozoleria? --as Mica realizes. Yep, thanks for confirming it, O.S.
