La Fea Más Bella #253 4/13/07 Lety is a "dish" best served cold

At Anais's show
The reporters are full of questions: who is she, is she going to be in Anais's show, is she the surprise guest. Lety declines to give her name, says she doesn't know what they're talking about, and asks why they're taking pictures of her. "Is it that bad?" she asks Carolina. Caro beams at Lety, but Lety wants to get out of there.

A reporter from Televisa rushes up with a TV camera and tells his microphone that they're broadcasting live from the launch of Anais's new show! He says they've just discovered this incredibly beautiful unknown woman who has captured everyone's attention. He begs her for information: what does she do? Is she a model, actress, Miss Universe, etc.? Lety declines to answer.

I just noticed that the pink eyeshadow is now being used on Carolina. It looks better on her than on Marcia, but I think it should be burnt.

"I need a mirror," Lety says in carefully measured tones as she tries to navigate through the crowd. "I need to see how I look." Worried, Caro tries to keep up while Lety continues to search for an exit.

Elsewhere in the city
Fernando is waffling outside the Padilla home. He approaches the door with his fist raised to knock; then he changes his mind and paces on the sidewalk. He can't decide what to do and begins to walk away. Julieta comes outside with Moty and her pocketbook and sees him. "What are you doing here?" "Oh... I'm here?" is his witty reply. He says he likes the way she laughs. He explains that he just happens to be in the neighborhood because he has a friend that lives nearby, and the street looked familiar, so... he trails off and tries to excuse himself.

"If you're looking for Lety, she's not here," Julieta tells Fernando. (Moty is doing that cute thing where he stands on Julieta's hands.) Fern hems and haws but finally fesses up that he's not doing well and he really wants to see her. He's lost in love with her and afraid he's losing her forever. She's not the same as before.

In Acapulco
Aldo is putting the finishing touches on his new dish. The restaurant owner likes what he sees and asks about the recipe. Aldo tells him he just made it up, and it's called the Leticia. Hmm, does that mean it's sour? Or bitter? Sorry... I just think that if you name any food item after a person, you're asking for trouble in the form of extreme mockery.

Aldo apparently tells the restaurant owner the entire story of Aldo & Lety. He wraps it up by saying he made Lety more sure of herself - so much so that she was able to get back together with the man who betrayed her. The owner is impressed with the story. I'd probably be impressed with it too if I could have heard it in just two minutes rather than over a period of several months.

Meanwhile, Alicia and Tomas have arrived in Acapulco. They've both changed their clothes - Alicia is wearing a pink thing that shows even more cleavage than usual (an impressive feat), plus a big pink hat. Tomas is wearing an orange sherbet shirt. It's dark outside, but he's wearing flipped-up clip-on sunglasses.

Some men whistle at Alicia, and Tomas tells them to go to the beach. He tells Alicia he likes her outfit, and she answers "gracias, Oxigenado"! The way she says it, it almost sounds like... like an endearment!

Back at the restaurant, Aldo's phone rings. Someone should show him how to turn it off. When he was talking on the phone at the restaurant last night I was hoping his dad would teach him some manners, but now he's talking on a phone in a restaurant WHILE HE'S WORKING... okay, it's just a story, it's just a story, it's just a story. (Destilando Amor is just a story, too. Last night, that sleazebag Aaron got a call while HE was at a restaurant, but he didn't take it. Manners! Granted, he was cheating on his wife at the time, but still...)

Anyway. It's Tomas calling. (Alicia interrupts to tell Tomas she'll pay him back later for the dress he bought.) Aldo sounds surprised, so I guess he didn't even check to see who it was before answering. ANYWAY. Sorry about that, it's a real pet peeve of mine when people talk on the phone in restaurants.

Tomas says he urgently needs to see Aldo. Aldo says he's busy doing restaurant stuff ("it's a long story," he explains) but invites Tomas to come by and they'll chat. Tomas doesn't have a pen and ducks into a souvenir shop to buy one, then decides to just ask someone else, bye. But now he's stuck in a souvenir shop with Alicia, who thinks it looks like a pirate ship, and now she wants to eat. He says he's going to take her to a posh place. She says thanks, she's a very dainty eater as he knows, but right now she's so hungry she could eat anything and everything. (Let's hope she has a tapeworm, because the alternative is too horrible to contemplate.) (On second thought, I just read an article on tapeworms, and I think even Alicia would prefer to be fat no matter how bad it looks.)

"Like always," Tomas says of her appetite, but she makes him take it back, reminding him that she was kind enough to accompany him and maybe she should just leave him here by himself. Instead of daring her to do it, he backs off. With a disdainful flick of her hand, she flips his sunglasses down so he can't see. He then takes her arm and lets her lead him like a seeing-eye dog.

If only he'd brought a puppet, he could have called it an act
While looking for Lety, who has apparently given her the slip, Caro runs into Omar. She tries to brush him off so she can continue her search, but he suggests that the two of them could have a good time. She says no - she's with an amiga. Omar thinks that sounds even better. "No... she's not your type," Caro says tactfully. Omar doubts this. Stroking his face, Caro says he doesn't have a chance - because the friend she brought is Leticia Padilla Solis!

Omar staggers backwards as if struck. "The gargolita?" he yells so loudly that the other guests have to shush him. Caro nods in acknowledgment, which annoys me - she should say she doesn't know anyone named "gargolita." Omar tells Caro she's got lousy taste in friends. "If you mean friends for you, then I agree," she says. She takes off to look for Lety.

Omar tells the empty air where Fern should be that all he needs is a whiskey. "Excuse me, but do you always talk to yourself?" asks a bemused bystander. "Me? Alone?" Omar asks himself. "Who's talking to himself? Only crazy people talk to themselves."

In the Padilla kitchen
Julieta tells Ferni that Lety came home for a moment in the afternoon and didn't tell her anything. He repeats that he's hopelessly in love with Lety and he's afraid he's already lost her forever. Julieta says she's sure that Lety loves him, and not Aldo.

The flavor of life
Back at the restaurant, the owner makes a little opening speech, in which he welcomes the diners, introduces Aldo, and tells them the great new dish is called Leticia. Surprised by the applause, Aldo bows awkwardly. The owner invites him to say "a few words" about the idea behind this restaurant - Aldo doesn't really want to open this can of worms, but as soon as he tries to beg off, people urge him to take the microphone.

Aldo begins telling them about his longtime dream to own a restaurant. (Through the window, we see Alicia and Tomas on the sidewalk outside the restaurant.) A very important dream. A dream that he sacrificed in the name of love, and that dish they're about to enjoy was inspired by that love, and that's why it's called Leticia. It's the flavor of life, Leticia, the flavor of his life. (Tomas and Alicia catch the end of this speech; Alicia is impactada.) The crowd applauds.

Later, Alicia finishes her dinner with loud verbal praise and asks for more - a double-helping, in fact. Meanwhile, Aldo is angrily telling Tomas that he was blind - he should have known that Lety would never let him into her heart.

Tomas tells him he's wrong. Aldo interrupts and says he's not wrong - a guy can tell when a woman loves him. (If Aldo's any indication, the same guy can't tell if a woman doesn't love him.) Aldo angrily says he saw Lety kissing Fernando. Laughing, Tomas says "yeah, but you didn't see what happened next." He snickers and snorts and tells Aldo that once Lety felt that she had lost Aldo, she said she loved him, and now she's conflicted as to which one she's in love with.

Later, Aldo and Tomas are still talking about how Aldo sold everything for Lety's love. Aldo says yep, now he's homeless. Tomas hints that Aldo could be the owner of Conceptos now. Aldo says that was never his intention. He just wanted to set Lety free from the Mendi/roels. It just didn't work out the way he wanted. Tomas commiserates over the sacrifice, but Aldo says it was no sacrifice. All he wants is for Lety to be happy, and if she wants to stay with Fern... Aldo gets all choked up and doesn't want to talk about it any more except to say how much he loves her and that love is freedom. He wipes tears from his eyes.

Mirror, Mirror
"A mirror, I need a mirror, I need to see myself," Lety repeats in her more typically nervous voice. She's alone in a dressing room, and as she catches sight of herself clomping up to the mirror, she is so impactada that she has to go to a commercial for a while and recover.

Three minutes later, and back to Lety in the parallel universe. She's wearing a light green gown with what I believe is called a keyhole neckline showing a bit of cleavage; flaming red (almost purple) hair; enough makeup to kill an Avon lady AND a Mary Kay lady; properly tweezed eyebrows; a hairless upper lip; and a fur coat. Her glasses are gone - I don't know if they just happened to have her contact lens prescription on hand, or if her vision is better than we had been led to believe, or if the tension on her braces had been so tight that it strained her eye muscles and now they're all better now.

"I don't want anyone to see me like this!" she says. She wonders how she can get out of there, but gets distracted when she tries matching her voice to her appearance. She tries out a few different voices, accents, and speech impediments - all of them very frightening. She reminds herself that she's being crazy and she really wants to leave, but decides to have a little more fun. (Boy, is it strange to hear Lety's voice coming out of that face!) She practices some alternate walks, too, then settles on a voice to match the walk. She giggles at herself in the mirror.

Carolina comes in and suddenly Lety is herself again, nervous and awkward. She says she's trying, but she's afraid. "Afraid to look pretty?" Caro asks. Lety says she's afraid of herself - because she's not "like this," she says, pulling up the train of her gown to cover the peekaboo neckline. Caro tries to soothe her, but Lety gets into that "I'm Lety LA FEA!!!" groove.

"No you're not, Lety. Look at yourself - you're stunning." Lety doesn't want to look. She doesn't recognize herself. (In her defense, I don't blame her for flipping out, she really looks different!) She didn't want this. She had already accepted herself as she was. Caro tells her there's no going back. She's a woman who loves and is loved. Her new look is only a reflection of the change that's taken place inside of her. (Grr, don't let that hardworking team of fashionistas hear you say that!) Lety says she truly doesn't know who she is.

Coffee break
Fern is telling Julieta that he saw the pain in Lety's eyes when Aldo left. It was like a stab to him. He felt a terrible rage. Sympathetically, Julieta says that no one likes seeing their beloved with someone else. Fern says it's not only that - it's because it's all his fault. His stupid mistakes drove Lety right into Aldo's arms. He deserves it for being an idiot.

Julieta puts her hands on Fernando's and tells him not to be so hard on himself. He pulls his hands away so that he can wave them around and insult himself some more. He says he's not going to resist it and he can't imagine Lety living with "Domensolín" (a pun on "idiot"). Julieta giggles, and Fern covers his mouth in mute embarrassment. He apologizes, but Julieta seems unfazed.

She tells him he said he's going to give Lety her freedom - but now how's he going to live with this decision? Fern says he would have given anything for Lety not to have changed so much since she first arrived at Conceptos. He was profoundly in love with her.

Fern seems to want to say more, but suddenly becomes self-conscious and admits that sometimes he finds it easier to talk with her than with his own mother. He gets up to leave, and Julieta begs him to take it easy. She says love is the most marvelous thing in life, but NOBODY should let it kill them. He asks her how a person can go on living when the one that he loves goes off with someone else.

She tells him to give it some time. She pats his hands and tells him we want love so much and it always makes us suffer. He asks her for help learning to respect the decisions of others. She says he'll have to start by accepting that Aldo has won the heart of her daughter.

Aurora Mexicanis
The New Lety makes her way back through the crowd, swaggering slightly but not quite sashaying. Omar catches sight of her and begs her not to move. (He turns around to talk to himself, and as soon as his back is turned, Lety's eyelid begins to flutter like crazy.) He doesn't recognize her as Lety, and thinks she's the most beautiful woman he's ever seen.

He turns back to look at her, and the eyelid-fluttering stops. He asks her name. She fixes him with a cool look and introduces herself as Aurora. He asks what she does for a living. She says "a model, film actress... and many other things." She turns her back to him so she can flutter her eyelid again. He asks her where she's been hidden all this time.

"Hidden?" she asks, turning towards him. (The flutter stops.) Omar steps behind her (flutter on) and says yes, because they've never met before. He steps in front of her (flutter off) and goes on and on and ON about how beautiful she is. She's his dream come true.

She replies to this effluvium with "do you know where the exit is?" He begs her not to leave, and she says she's not asking his permission. She turns to leave and makes more faces. He begs her to stay so he can gaze into her eyes. He talks about love at first sight, and finally she gives him just the tiniest smile.

Or maybe it's just the start of another flutter, because in the next scene her face is just as cold as before while Omar complains that she shouldn't reject him without giving him a chance. He says he's a very interesting guy, if she'd just get to know him. (The entire crowd is gathered around, watching.)

"Really. You think so?" she asks frostily. "Many women have told me so," Omar answers stupidly. But he says he doesn't care what they think. He only cares what she thinks.

She turns away and starts to walk. "I'm a writer!" Omar shouts after her. Lety's eyes widen in disbelief. (Flutter flutter flutter.) She turns to answer, "a writer? How interesting." He tells her he writes the most beautiful love letters. "Love letters? For me?" she answers calmly.

(I assume Lety's shoes have sharp, pointy heels. All I can think about right now is how dead Omar would be if Lety were not having so much fun playing with him.)

He says yes, thousands, millions of the sweetest and impassioned that she could read in solitude.

"Gotta go," Lety says, turning again to the exit. "No, no! Please!" Omar throws himself at her feet. He begs to know where he can see her again. She gives him a crooked half-smile (a la Han Solo) and leaves for real... but in her haste, she loses a glass slipper earring. One of those very, very expensive earrings that she was told not to lose. Omar picks it up off the floor and kisses it. "Got your earring," he says. "I want your ear, your mouth, your body, your heart."

Caro rushes up alongside him and says, "Wait! Uh... Friend! Wait for me!"

Omar is excited to find that Carolina knows this woman. "At last! The love of my life has arrived! Thank you God!!"

A dude named Casimiro is admiring his reflection in the dressing room mirror when Lety (in full Lety mode) bursts in, looking for her frenos (her headgear, but it literally means "brakes"). He asks didn't she leave them in her car, ha ha. She explains. "Oh, it's one of those beauty tools," he says, more or less. Yep, he found 'em, but didn't know what they were and was going to give them to his kid because he doesn't have any toys.

That last scene there seemed pretty pointless. I wonder if this "Casimiro" guy is someone famous. Anybody recognize him?

Lety sneaks into the house late at night, still wearing the hair, gown, and fur coat. RoboPop is up, but has dozed off with a book in a chair in the kitchen. She gets across the living room while he's having a coughing fit. He hears her, but by the time he gets out of his chair, she's already up the stairs.

He wants to talk to her about the Conceptos debt, but she hurries up to her room, talks to herself about the irony of having a change of appearance and then running into Carvajal of all people and hearing all about his great love letters that destroyed her.

RoboPop is now upstairs, right outside her door, demanding to talk. She tells him she wants to sleep and they can talk tomorrow, but he is persistent. He thinks she's hiding something and says if she doesn't open the door, he'll knock it down. (He prepares to do so with a spindly elbow.) She throws a blanket over herself and puts her glasses on braces on and I guess wipes off the makeup and answers the door. Now she looks just as goofy as always.

RoboPop says he's all worried about the subject of Aldo buying off the debt of Conceptos. Lety says she hasn't spoken to Aldo, and had put Tomas in charge of it. When she knows more, she'll tell him.

RoboPop peers closely at what little he can see of Lety's face, and notices that her eyebrows are different. "They look weird," he says. Lety says she plucked a stray hair or two and urges him to let her sleep. He does so, but only after making her promise to tell him "everything" tomorrow. She tells herself he would have had a heart attack if he'd seen her all made up.

Back at the Anais show, Omar begs Caro for information about the mysterious woman. He shows her the earring. She cautiously tells him that he doesn't want to know about her. He doesn't believe her. She's his ideal woman. "I'm in love, I'm in love," he moans.

Lucy gets to sing at the big show
At least three plates of "Leticia" later, Alicia isn't tired yet. She sees a mariachi band approach the stage and gets all excited. She tells Tomas she's very talented, and that all of her life she's dreamed of signing before a crowd, with lots of lights and people and applause. While she's still sighing over the mental image of this, Tomas excuses himself and asks... no, offers (Tomas's words, not mine) the restaurant owner a favor. He offers to have an internationally famous singer perform. The gullible man is incredulous that such a person would agree to sing for him there on that very night. "Who is it?" the owner asks excitedly.

A few minutes later, the owner begins to introduce a world-famous singer. Alicia wonders who it is and if she'll get an autograph. She is surprised to hear the owner say her name. Alicia is impactada! Tomas encourages her to fulfill her dream, but she protests and says it was only a joke. Tomas leads the crowd in a cheer for Alicia. She reluctantly rises.

"YOU?" the owner asks, with his eyes popping out of his face. For a moment, I worry that he's going to kick the entire Conceptos crew - Alicia, Tomas, even Aldo - out of his restaurant. But no, this is the guy who thought Aldo's story was incredible. He thinks Alicia's incredible too. "Not only are you beautiful, but also talented!"

Alicia sings. It's not the best I've ever heard, it sounds a bit flat, but it's better than I can sing. Alicia really gets into the song. There are tears in her eyes. Everyone enjoys her performance and gives her hearty applause. With some prompting from Aldo, Tomas goes up to the stage and takes her hand. Tomas gets the crowd all stirred up for another wave of applause. Overwhelmed, Alicia gives him a kiss. She is crying. "I'm famous! I'm famous!" Then she sadly tells Tomas she's failed "her public" because she made a mistake - she started crying at the beginning, instead of at the end when it would have been more dramatic!

Tomas replies to this shocking admission by whipping up the crowd again. As they cheer and clap, she doesn't even protest when he yells "Alicia Ferreira... de Mora!!!" In fact, she gives him another kiss!

Nightmare on Lety Street 2: Ferni's Revenge
"Why deny it?" Lety asks herself. She's wearing her glasses and her slicked-back hair and her Moty pajamas now, putting away her strappy little gold slippers and green gown. She admits that she felt pretty, but decides to hide the clothes so her parents don't find them. She holds up the red wig (which doesn't look much like the hair she was wearing before) and wiggles it at her face, saying "Hola Lety" in her Aurora voice. "Aurora, we don't look at all alike," she tells the wig.

She realizes the other earring is missing and worries that Caro will kill her, but doesn't have much time to think about it because Julieta starts knocking on the door and rattling the doorknob. Lety scrambles to hide the Aurora stuff and lets her mother in (she blames Moty for the locked door). Julieta tells Lety that Fern told her that he set Lety free to sort out her feelings. She asks if Lety is really in love with both of them. "Your heart will give you the answer," she tells Lety.

Lety finally gets to sleep. She's Aurora again, wearing a neon red gown and another crazy pair of earrings. Fern and Aldo are there, but she ignores both of them to look at herself in a mirror. "I don't recognize myself," she says, smiling. "Neither does Omar," she says. She starts to worry. "What if nobody recognizes me? What if everybody who loves me, stops loving me because I've changed my appearance?" She swaggers up to Fern and Aldo, who are sitting side-by-side on a bench like pals. "I'm the new Lety. What do you think?"

"I liked her better before," Fernando says, looking at her. "That was the sweet and sensitive Lety who was my assistant." Aldo bends for a better look, then leans back dismissively. "Yes," he says to Fern. "I prefer the Lety from Acapulco. Gracious, sweet, very likeable, fresh. Yeah, I don't like this new Lety." He is practically sneering at her.

"No," Fern agrees. "Really?" Aldo asks. "She's all yours, Aldo." "Ah, not me either." Aldo gets up from the bench to flash his now-scornful Chiclets at Aurora. "I'll leave this Leticia to you. I'm going back to the beach and the sea in Acapulco. Smell you later!" and he leaves.

"What a guy," Fern says, seemingly offended by Aldo's rudeness. He looks Aurora up and down again and delivers his verdict: "I prefer my Lety too. I'm going to Conceptos and my presidency and my office." He walks away.

"Aldo! Don Fernando! Aldo! Don Fernando! My God, no! My God nooooooOOOOOOOOooooo!"

Lety wakes up. "Don't go away! Either of you!" She looks around and puts her glasses on, perhaps to ward Aurora off for the rest of the night.

I know I've complained a lot about many things on this show, but I love the way they do nightmares. Nobody, pero NADIE, does nightmares better than this bunch.

The Yellow-Chested Something

Alicia is signing autographs for her grateful public. Aldo tells Tomas she sings well. Tomas agrees. She's like a yellow-chested gorrioncillo (a small bird), but with tears. He asks Aldo what he's going to do. Aldo says he's got plenty to keep busy with and won't go to see Lety. He'd prefer to give her some time to process all that has happened. (I'm reminded of Omar's slogan: snooze, you lose!) Tomas presses Aldo as to what he plans to do about the debt that Conceptos owes him. Aldo seems unsure.

"Sticky Fingers" Padilla
Manuel, the chief Dress-Up Guy for Anais, calls Carolina in a very bad mood. He's mad at her and her "friend" for not returning all the stuff they borrowed, especially the super-expensive earrings which are needed for a big expo in Europe. He's very emphatic that if he doesn't get them back, she and Lety will be in big trouble. Caro's like, okay, fine, I'll personally bring them to your house.

She reminds herself that Omar has one of the earrings. She passes by a newsstand and stops short: on the front page of the newspaper is... a full-color photo of THE NEW LETY! The headline reads: "The Mysterious Woman."

Caro buys the paper and tells herself she now understands why Fern and Aldo are in love with her. She always knew the beauty was there - she just needed a little help getting it out of hiding.

Next week
Things get complicated.

Blog Mom Needs Help!

For the last two days there have been no captions on Univision here. I don't know who to contact about this. I won't be able to recap La Fea on Monday if I don't get the captions back. Any suggestions?

CLARIFICATION: All my other channels have captions, it's just Univision that's died. I need a contact number at Univision or something - my cable company denies any blame for the situation. I couldn't figure out what number to call! That's what I want help with!

Destilando Amor--Thursday, April 12

Gaviota is explaining why she doesn’t sing…because it reminds her of the harvesters, and then it reminds her of Rodrigo and then that reminds her of his betrayal. So she believes she’ll never sing again. Flashback to happier times with Rodriguito.

Isadora is also pouting about Rodrigo. Aaron and Minerva suggest a return to the city, to avoid that working class tramp (which is not the official definition, but seems to be how they are using the word la jornalera) . Isadora agrees. Rodrigo comes in and gets the scoop, Isadora fell off a horse and bumped her head. Rodrigo wants her to see a specialist, but she doesn’t need no stinkin’ specialist, she just wants Ro at her side.

Hilario is feeling guilty about Isadora’s accident. Erica tells him pshaw, she isn’t blind and doesn’t suck her thumb (common misconceptions) she knows that it’s stupid Gaviota’s fault. Hilario tells her not to meddle. She says, who are you to tell me what to do.

Isadora tells Rodrigo that she loves him and if he isn’t at her side, she would rather die. Rodrigo tells her to calm down and tells her she’s a really brave woman (probably not what she wanted to hear…). Rodrigo tucks her into bed, turns out the light and goes to chat with Aaron. The moment he’s gone, Isadora sits up and tells herself that her diabolical little plan is working. She doesn’t care how long she has to stay in that bed, she will get Ro back.

Pilar (I love that name) and Minerva are crabbing about Rodrigo and the (im)possibility of divorce in the family. Daniela calls and Minerva tells her that if she’s thinking about getting married, think twice (um…isn’t that always good advice). Pilar tells Daniela about Rodrigo asking for a divorce and cavorting with some little working class tramp. Daniela’s not surprised…Rodrigo wasn’t in love when he got married. Daniela’s psyched because love won out….meanwhile across the room some guy is drawing a picture of her.

Gaviota is doing laundry and starts hearing voices. She tells herself it’s because she loves Rodrigo so much, she carries him with her and that she’ll never love another man, and that she renounces love so that at least he can be happy even if it is with another.

Aaron and Minerva suggest that Ro & Isadora move back to the city. Rodrigo’s not psyched about that idea and says he’ll never move back there.

Back in the city….Gaviota goes off to work and her mom gives her a little blessing. At her new job—receptionist in a hotel—Gaviota looks hot in her uniform and Sr. Vallejo totally checks her out. Flavia, the sensibly dressed assistant to Sr. Vallejo, expresses dislike toward Gaviota and Nancy tells her that Flavia will make her life very difficult if she doesn’t like her. Sure enough, later Flavia throws some work her way and tells her to get to it, she wasn’t hired for her pretty face, but to do work! Well, actually Flavia, it seems her pretty face might have had a little something to do with her getting hired.

Rodrigo delivers a little monologue that lets us know that despite the complicated situation, he still loves and thinks about Gaviota. Isadora wakes up with a little fake cough and Ro tells her he has to go check on the harvest. She tells him she loves him. He responds, less than romantically, by telling her to take her medicine so she can get well enough to sign the divorce papers (well that’s what he meant).

Pilar & Aaron are discussing Rodrigo’s divorce. She continues to insist that divorce is not a possibility. Aaron says that hopefully with this ‘injury’ Isadora will make Ro forget all about the little working class tramp he’s in love with.

Erica is pursuing her gossip leads out in the field. A worker tells her about a discussion he overheard between Ro & Gaviota…Erica comes to the conclusion that Gaviota was pregnant by Ro. She runs to tell Isadora who freaks out.

Rodrigo is telling James how guilty he feels for Isadora’s accident. His guilt doesn’t really affect the fact that he doesn’t love her and still wants a divorce, though. He does decide to stop looking for Gaviota just while Isadora is recuperating. Crispin calls, saying that he’s found Gaviota. He speeds off in his truck to find her. So much for feeling guilty.

Nancy and Gaviota continue their idle chit chat at work. Nancy asks Gaviota if she met the queen when she was in England and tells her she wants to marry one of the princes. Gaviota tells her that rich men only marry in their own class. Later…Nancy notices how Sr. Vallejo smiles at Gaviota. In addition to keeping up with European nobility, Nancy also reads a very thick magazine about Mexico’s jet-set. She shows Gaviota her favorite guy in the magazine…Aaron Montalvo. Gaviota tells her she used to work for Aaron and she learned a lot. It appears that she is hatching a plan.

Isadora finds out that Rodrigo ran off to look for Gaviota. She calls in Roman to get some intel. He tells her that Ro & James went to Guadalajara and should be back in a couple hours.

Aaron goes to work in his office…he has a new secretary…Lluvia Camargo. She’s hot and he’s psyched. She’s such a good secretary that she tells him about his phone calls by slinking into his office and telling him in person. He tells her he’s going to give her a list of phone numbers that are to be kept confidential…especially from his wife (snark, snark). He takes the call from Eugenia and promises to spend the entire afternoon with her.

Minerva is at a doctor’s appointment, demanding to get pregnant quickly (um, I think you might be asking the wrong person there) since her marriage depends on it. Minerva gets home and gets a call from Isadora, who tells her that Rodrigo had a kid with Gaviota.

Rodrigo is at the farm in Guadalajara and realizes that they have found the wrong Gaviota. He’s upset.

Minerva goes to the office to talk to Aaron. She’s not pleased with the new secretary. Lluvia calls Aaron, who doesn’t answer the phone, telling Eugenia that he doesn’t want to be interrupted when he’s with her.

Rodrigo arrives back at home and Isadora starts yelling at him about where he’d been and where his kid is. He tells her he doesn’t have a child and has a flashback to when Gaviota told him she lost his child and tells her not to bother him with that memory again. She screams that she doesn’t believe him.

Duelo de Pasiones, Thursday April 12 - Ah, the glories of being Don Loco's woman

After kissing Alfonsina, Alvaro (aka Don Loco) asked Soledad if she felt bad about it, saying that's how he felt about her (supposed) affair with Jose. Then he graciously told her he would no longer lock her in the barn, but would instead give her "the privilege of caring for my sister."

After Soledad left the room, Alvaro worriedly asked Alfonsina if she thought it was true that Soledad didn't care about their affair.

Alfonsina asked, "Why, Patron? Le calo?" I don't know what that means (can someone explain?) but Alvaro said disgustedly, "Please," and stalked away. Alfonsina smirked.

At Luba's cave: Elias was well enough to sit up in a chair with a blanket wrapped around him. Luba told him Alina was at Edelmira's place again. Elias asked her to go tell Soledad that Alina was fine so Soledad wouldn't worry.

At Edelmira's: Granillo cried a little and told Alina he was fed up with Edel, but he loved his job and couldn't easily find another one. Alina told him not to get into trouble for her sake, but Granillo said, "While I am here, no one will hurt you." After he left the room, Alina lamented about being hungry and prayed for help.

In the countryside somewhere: Emilio and his soldiers set up camp while a man spied on them from behind some trees.

Back at Casa Loco: Soledad sat on the paralyzed Mariana's bed and promised to do all she could to help her. Mariana thought that Soledad had always been nice, and wondered why Alvaro treated her so badly.

Soledad said her life with Alvaro was horrible but she was used to it. She told Mariana that Alvaro's jealousy had been triggered by Jose's mysterious letter and now Alvaro thought Alina was Jose's daughter.

Mariana became agitated and began hyperventilating, trying to talk. Soledad attempted to calm her down by explaining the situation, which of course only upset Mariana more.

When Soledad said, "Jose Gomez died without saying who wrote this letter," Mariana passed out. Soledad ran from the room calling for Adela.

Don Loco was about to embrace Alfonsina when Adela ran into their room and told them that Soledad said Mariana had fainted.

Alfonsina snapped, "What a coincidence, if Senora Mariana came here this morning perfectly well!" Alvaro said he hoped to God that what Alfonsina was saying was wrong. He and Adela hurried out of the room with Alfonsina swishing along behind them.

Alvaro leaned over the unconcious Mariana and told her, "Don't do this anymore, Mariana. Don't scare me." Mariana opened her eyes. Alvaro and Soledad squabbled over whose fault it was that Mariana had fainted.

Alfonsina said (I think) that she didn't trust "this woman." Soledad said, "I am the lady of this house!" Don Loco said, "No, you are wrong, Soledad. Alfonsina is the lady of the house, and you are going to respect her." He told Mariana he would ask Dr. Vasquez to examine her tomorrow.

After Don Loco and Alfonsina left, Soledad apologized to Mariana, who thought (in a very forceful voiceover), "Pardon me, too, Soledad, for my cowardice, for not confronting my brother. I have caused you so much pain. And poor Alina, I don't want to think what is happening to her."

In Mexico City: Ricardo (aka Dr. Love) told Malena that without physical therapy Mariana would remain a quadriplegic, but he would go to Sierra Escondida to help her.

At Edelmira's place: Edelmira yelled at Alina for lazing around in bed instead of working. Alina said she was tired and hadn't eaten in two days. She whined, "I feel very weak," but Edelmira said, "I don't care how you feel!" and forced her to get up.

Later, when Alina was serving beer to customers, Edelmira unreasonably accused her of stealing money and sent her back to her room.

Orlando came in and asked Granillo if Flor was there. Granillo asked, "Why so interested in finding her?" Orlando said, "I have my reasons," and claimed he wanted to help her.

Granillo said if he saw Flor, he would tell her Orlando was looking for her, then told himself he was suspicious of Orlando. ("No me da buena espina.")

At the military camp: Emilio dreamed of seeing Angel and Alina at the altar on their wedding day. He said repeatedly, "No no no no no."

While he was still saying "no" in his sleep, a man crept into his tent with a knife. Suddenly someone shot and killed the intruder. Emilio woke up and saw that the gunman was Frank, who said, "It was him or you!"

With his usual acute insight, Emilio declared, "This man wanted to kill me." He warned Frank that they would encounter a lot of very angry people tomorrow.

In the morning he kissed Alina's heart-shaped necklace and said, "Don't abandon me. You are my strength for living."

Meanwhile, Granillo told Alina, "Last night Senor Lieutenant came looking for you," but added that he didn't trust Orlando. Alina insisted that Orlando had always been good to her.

Granillo said, "I don't believe anyone would want to help you for nothing," but Alina begged him to find Orlando and tell him she needed help. Granillo gave in and agreed, saying, "You are the queen."

At La Rinconada: Orlando told Thelma, her singing Aunt Rebeca, and Maximo that he'd looked everywhere for Alina but couldn't find her.

Maximo said, "It's impossible she could have evaporated like this. Why are you so interested in finding her, Lieutenant?" Orlando said, "Emilio left her in my care."

In the countryside somewhere: Emilio and his men examined a shantytown through binoculars. Emilio said, "How strange. There's no movement."

One of the soldiers said maybe the people had preferred to leave before being evicted. Frank said maybe the people were hiding, it could be a trap. Emilio ordered Frank to send some men into the town while they continued to watch through binoculars.

The soldiers didn't find anyone in the town, but Emilio spotted something inside one the shacks and decided to investigate personally. He went into the shack, calling, "Is someone here?"

A man grabbed him, put a gun to his neck, and said, "Tell the men to leave my lands!"

Outside, Frank and the other soldier heard a gunshot in the cabin Emilio had entered. They hurried into the shack, which was empty, then found Emilio outside with his captor, who had Emilio in a chokehold and the gun to his head.

The man told them to leave his lands, but Emilio said hoarsely, "Don't pay attention to him! That's an order! Carry out my orders. My life doesn't matter!"

One of the soldiers apologized and said they couldn't do that. They turned away as if to leave, but then unexpectedly Frank turned and shot Emilio's captor. Both men rolled down a hill. Frank ran to Emilio, who clutched his arm and groaned dramatically.

Elsewhere: Angel, at his doctor's office, suddenly said he felt afraid, that his brother was in danger. The doctor told him not to worry.

Back to Emilio, who told his men he had dislocated his shoulder. (Angel has a psychic flash about that? Not when Emilio was shot at the altar by Alvaro, but when he dislocated his shoulder? OK, whatever.)

In Sierra Escondida: Santos and Rosita strolled outside, discussing Maximo's threats, while Castulo lurked in the background with a gun. Castulo thought, "This time it isn't just a threat, Rosita. Your little boyfriend is going to die in front of your own eyes!" He aimed at Santos.

Fortunately for Santos, Castulo didn't shoot him right away, but let Santos and Rosita bicker long enough for Santos to say, "No, Rosita! Maximo must never find out that I am his son!"

Castulo lowered his gun, thinking, "The boss has to know that he sent me to kill his own son."

At La Rinconada: Vera, Jaime, and Ifigenio were surprised when Granillo appeared in the kitchen. Vera said, "What do you want here? This is a decent house."

Granillo said he was just looking for the lieutenant. Jaime said Orlando had left early on his horse. Granillo gave Vera a note for Orlando. As he left, he blew a kiss to Ifigenio, who looked disconcerted.

In Maximo's office: Maximo gave Thelma a letter, saying it was from Emilio, who wanted to know how Alina was. Thelma said, "Surely Flor will appear at any moment."

Maximo said, "You say that with a lot of certainty," and asked if she knew where Alina was. Thelma said no. Maximo said, "Please, Thelma. I know you. I know you're not a trustworthy woman."

Thelma said in her nasty way, "Why do you say that? Because of Castulo? I assure you, there's nothing between him and me." Maximo said, "Mmm hmm. You think I was born yesterday and I'm called Minimo, right?"

Castulo arrived outside the office in time to hear Maximo informing Thelma that he (Castulo) was nothing more than a criminal, "capable of killing his own blood," and Maximo didn't want his family to have anything to do with him. "And that includes you, Thelma!"

Angrily Castulo said to himself, "Well, boss, you're also going to kill your own blood," because he (Castulo) would kill Santos, Maximo's son, just as Maximo had ordered.

At Casa Loco: Alvaro sent for Sergio and asked what happened while he was gone. Sergio said Soledad had tried to escape but he'd prevented it. Alvaro praised him.

Sergio then said oh yeah, also that engineer, Elias, had wanted to help Soledad escape, but he had shot Elias and Luba was now curing him with herbs.

Alfonsina sauntered into the room and asked what was going on. Alvaro turned away and muttered, "That damn engineer keeps looking for my woman. Why does he want to rescue her?"

Alfonsina said that woman didn't matter to him anymore, but Alvaro snarled at her not to meddle in things that didn't concern her.

In the kitchen, Soledad told Adela that she saw the suffering in Mariana's face and didn't like seeing her like that. Luba arrived and assured Soledad that Elias was OK and Alina was being treated well at La Rinconada.

Unfortunately, Alvaro was standing in the kitchen doorway (spying on Soledad, no doubt), and overheard this. He told Luba, "The bastard is being treated very well. Thank you for this information," then ordered her to leave.

When Luba was gone, he told Soledad, "Right now I'm going to end your happiness." He said he was going to La Rinconada and she would come with him.

Soledad yelled, "Take pity on your daughter!" Alvaro yelled back, "She's not my daughter, damn it!" (They never get tired of this conversation, do they?)

Soledad screamed at Alvaro to stop all this, enough already! Alvaro gave her his usual guilty grimace, then repeated that she was going with him to La Rinconada. More back and forth screaming.

Alfonsina entered the room and Alvaro said she would come with him to La Rinconada, too. Alfonsina asked, "What for?"

Alvaro roared at her, red-faced and very scary, "What do you mean, what for, fool? (Como para que, sonsa?)" and knocked something off the counter with his whip, shouting, "To be with me by my side!" Ah, the glories of being Don Loco's woman.

Soledad told Alvaro she was disgusted by him and his woman. Alfonsina went to Don Loco's side and said, "I am happy with this man!"

If she thought that would get Don Loco's attention, she was sadly mistaken, because he and Soledad went right back to screaming at each other. He grabbed her arm and pushed her out of the kitchen, then growled at Alfonsina, "And you too!"

At Edelmira's club: Alina passed out from exhaustion and lack of food and dreamed that Emilio was with her. He said, "Our love is impossible." Alina said, "I know, but I can never forget you." Emilio kissed her, saying, "Goodbye forever," then left.

One of the jealous prostitutes came along and found Alina sprawled on the ground with a rat climbing on her leg. She commented that Alina couldn't take anymore so she passed out; well, she could stay there, with no one to help her.

She picked up the rat by the tail (ugh!) and held it over Alina, saying, "The rats... with the rats."

Orlando looked for Alina at the church. Father Cristobal said Alina wasn't there. Orlando didn't believe him and Cristobal said he wasn't a liar. As Orlando started to leave, Cristobal put out his hand and said, "Go with God." Orlando declined to take his hand. (As if we needed more proof that Orlando is evil!)

After he left, Father Cristobal prayed, "Lord, protect this child." (Maybe he could try giving the Lord a helping hand by notifying the authorities that Alina is being terrorized? But no, that's just crazy talk.)

At the military camp: Frank advised Emilio, whose arm was now in a sling, to go back to town and let his men continue the mission. Emilio refused. (I'm sorry, Emilio, at this point it's going to take a lot more than that to make me think you're heroic.) Frank warned that his attacker might have accomplices. Emilio said they would be prepared.

At Edelmira's: Alina hallucinated that Jose was standing over her, saying he was her father. Alina said no, he wasn't. Jose said, "You are a damn bastard!" Alina said, "My mother is innocent. I am Alina Montellano!"

La Fea Más Bella #252 4/12/07 The Bellyaching Continues

The Orthodontist took Lety’s braces off, but gave her a huge, awkward retainer; the kind you wear on the outside of your mouth. Lety screams that she looks even worse than before. The doc says that at least it’s easy to take on and off.

Tomas is on the phone with Aldo. Aldo tells Tomas that he’s going back to Acapulco. Tomas invites Aldo to stay with him and his mom. Aldo tells him thanks but no thanks. Tomas feels bad about the Lety situation. Aldo asks Tomas to take care of her, and says he paid off the Conceptos debt to free her, not to obilgarla (obligate her).

Lety asks the orthodontist is she can keep the braces; she likes to keep these kinds of mementos [I bet she still has all her baby teeth, a big childhood braid of hair, and her umbilical cord- ick!]. She notes that he has the same name as a good friend of hers… Aldo.

In Tomas’s office, Fern asks Tom for the low-down on Aldo and the debt. Tom takes another glance at the paperwork and advices that, yes, Aldo is virtually the owner of Conceptos. Fern tells Tom to call Aldo and ask him about his intentions. Tom says he will ask him as soon as he (Aldo) comes back from Acapulco. Fern wants him to find out now. Tom makes excuses, such as he doesn’t know where to find Aldo. Fern says Tom is smart, has many degrees, a great “look,” and cool haircut, so of course will be able to find Aldo. Fern walks out and Tom chases after him into the Vortex/lobby yelling that he refuses to go to Acapulco to find Aldo.

Alicia, who heard Tom’s whining, runs right over and calls him chiquito (which I don’t like Alicia using because it’s a term of endearment -- literally meaning “little one” -- which I call my 4-year old). Tom is taken aback to hear her call him chiquito. Alicia says she’d do anything to go to Acapulco. Tom falls for it and offers to take Alicia with him. Alicia begins to think aloud that it would be so nice to be alone with Aldo on the beach…. She realizes she’s saying this out loud in front of Tom and backtracks.

In his office, Fern talks to himself, trying to figure out what Aldo’s evil plan must be. He decides Omar could help him figure it out, but then argues with himself about whether he should call him. Finally convinces himself that Omar would not reject Fern’s call and he calls him. Omar tells Fern off and tells him not to bother him again before hanging up.

Fern opens the new diary and writes that he thought today would be wonderful, but it has turned into a disaster. He writes that he didn’t think he was capable of a sacrifice like this.

After hearing that Aldo paid off the Conceptos debt, his dad says it was a risky investment, but an investment nonetheless. Aldo says he had high hopes but they were shot down in an instant. Lety’s with Fern and he (Aldo) is left with nothing… NOTHING. Dad says he should let some time pass. Maybe this isn’t the love Aldo was waiting for. Aldo says he has nothing left to do but think about the future. That’s why he’s going back to Acapulco, and he’s never coming back [Oh Aldo, you big tease!].

The cuartel gossips as usual as Fern walks into the lobby to ask for Lety. They tell him she’s with Aldo. This news bugs Fern to no end. He scolds the cuartel and asks where Lety and Aldo are. PM smugly brings out a business card and tells him that here is the address for Aldo ROMERO, the orthodontist! Ha! Fern is relieved but also annoyed by their little joke.

Back in his office, Fern continues to argue with himself. He can’t believe he let Lety go. Then he reassures himself that he did the right thing. He thinks he’s going crazy and he needs to stop talking to himself. He decides that in order to feel less stupid, he needs to talk to someone more stupid then himself -- that’s Carvajal.

Alicia tells Marcia she’s going to Acapulco with Tom. She hits Marica up for travel expense money, since technically the trip is work-related. Marcia shoots her down. Tom comes in and Alicia whines to him about being broke. He offers to pay her expenses. He also tells her that she must get Marcia’s permission to go on the trip, since Marcia is her boss. Marcia grants Tom permission to take Alicia, and says he doesn’t even have to bring her back.

Omar’s phone rings and he exclaims “Fern, you are worse than a pebble in a shoe.” He answers and yells at Fern to leave him alone already. Caro answers that it’s her, not Fern. She is concerned because last time the two spoke he was very alterado (in an altered state-- that is, he was stinking mad!). She notes that now he sounds even worse. Omar invites her out for a date. Caro says she can’t because she has that show with Anais to attend; she just wanted to see how he was doing and make sure he hasn’t gone nutso.

On her way home, Lety runs into the neighborhood bullies, who pick on her as usual [which surprised me because the last time she ran into them she handled them like a champ and I didn’t think she would have to worry about them anymore… oh well]. They make fun of her retainer and say she looks like a horse. Lety retorts that, for their information, she has two men in love with her. They ask “Who-- Frankenstein and the Wolfman?” Robopop comes out of the house just in time to hear them call her fea and solterona (old maid). He reprimands the idiotas and they giggle about it.

Lety asks Robopop where mom is [she’s probably at Conceptos looking for Lety, since the last time they talked, Lety whined that she needed mom to please come to Conceptos right away]. Robopop asks Lety about the debt. She tells him Aldo bought it off. Robopop wonders why Aldo would do that. Lety just looks at him uncomfortably.

In Acapulco, Aldo stands outside the restaurant he sold yesterday. He says “Ay, Lety, I left my dream for you. I hope someday you will find happiness.” Some guy who must be the new owner comes out and greets Aldo. He invites him to the restaurant’s grand opening. Aldo thinks it would be too painful to be a guest at his ex-restaurant. The guy clarifies that he doesn’t want him as a guest, he actually wants Aldo to cook.

Robopop asks Lety where Aldo went. Lety whimpers that he didn’t say where he was going. Robopop asks how they will pay him back. She has no idea; they will have to wait to hear Aldo’s plan.

Fern goes to see Omar. Omar tells Fern to go away. Fern apologizes but Omar tells him he belongs in a psych ward. He tells him again and again to get out. Fern grabs on to Omar’s bar (he has a huge wooden, fully-stocked bar in the middle of his living room; probably where he practices his pick-up lines). Anyway, Fern refuses to leave and grabs on to the bar. Omar disparages him and Lety. Fern says he will not get mad today over the insults against Lety only because he knows he was wrong. Omar doesn’t accept Fern’s apology. He literally picks up Fern, who is still holding on to a bar stool, and throws him out the door.

Backstage at Anais’s event, she talks with her stylist about her wardrobe. He talks about the latest trends, which currently include 40s style dresses. He goes on and on about the 40s era styles [so much so that I actually thought it was going to be some sort of promotion or product tie-in]. He says he would love to find a new diva who he could dress in that super-hot retro-Mexico style. He wonders who could be his new diva.…Who?

Caro goes to visit Lety. Lety bellyaches about the two gorgeous men who are both vying for her affections… boo hoo…. Caro asks Lety who she really loves. Lety says she thought she only loved Fern, but losing Aldo made her feel horrible. Caro tells Lety to listen to her heart. Lety wishes she could go back being the old nobody that no one cared about… boo hoo…. Caro invites Lety to go with her to Anais’s show so that Lety can take her mind off her troubles. Lety protests but Caro says it’s an order from her ex-boss. Just then mom arrives.

Still in her dressing room, Anais practices her presentation in front of her staff. She says their going to talk about women who define glamour. Everyone chimes in with their ideas of style and glamour. It sounds like what Aldo would rant about if he were a fashionista. They think a glamorous woman should always look like she just stepped off the red carpet.

Caro comes backstage with Lety in tow. Lety furrows her brow and gives them her signature goofy “ho-o-o-ola.” They talk with Anais as the fashionista staff stares at Lety apprehensively. Caro suggests that maybe Anais’s staff could fix up Lety for the show. Anais thinks it’s a great idea. She introduces her stylist, her wardrobe coordinator, her hair stylist, etc... there are about 8 of them. The staff is not excited about Caro’s idea, and neither is Lety. They sit her down and then talk trash about her. They agree that it is an impossible mission

Fern sits in his apartment and looks at Lety’s picture on his laptop. He strokes her cheek.

We get the Lety-cam, so we see from her point of view as the fashionista staff poke and prod at her like a lab experiment. The main stylist with the 40s fetish, Manuel, gives them his discloser -- if she ends up uglier than before, he won’t be responsible.

Aldo is in the restaurant kitchen in his chef outfit. He speaks in prose about Lety and her flavor as he cooks. He invokes the love of Leticia to make his food yummy. What a wacko!

The fashionista staff continues to work on Lety. One comments that it must be feo to be so fea.

Fern is also behaving a little wacko-ish. He tells his picture of Lety that “to love you is to yell out how much I love you.” He jumps up and goes to a mirror and writes “LETY” on it with a marker. He draws a heart around her name.

The Lety-cam shakes as the fashionistas discuss how much they will need to pluck and shave -- “Everything!” one of them says.

Aldo kneads -- actually, he fondles -- a ball of dough as he thinks about Lety.

The fashionistas grab at Lety’s clothes. She giggles and says it tickles. The fashionisistas consider using anesthesia.

Fern prints a picture and tapes it to the mirror, saying this is where he will make Lety’s mural. He puts up a second copy of the picture next to the first.

Back to the Lety-cam. The accessories guy holds an emerald chandelier earring in front of Lety. He tells her she is not beautiful, but she should feel beautiful, because they did a great job. He tells the main fashionista, Manuel, that the earrings are very important, and that Manuel is responsible for returning them safely. Manuel puts the second earring on Lety and tells her to return the earring back to him immediately after the event [oh boy, sounds like a sure sign that something awful will happen to those earrings!].

Lety wants to see herself. The Lety-cam moves toward the mirror but Caro tells her there is no time, as the event about to start.

Speaking of mirrors, Fern has covered his mirror with many many copies of Lety’s pic. Then he takes out his camera and photographs the collage.

Anais is out with a big crowd of reporters on a red carpet. She says the show will be about what it’s like to be a mother, a wife, an employee… The reporters lose interest in her when they spot Lety. From the Lety-cam, we see them exclaim, “Wow, look at her, she’s gorgeous!” Lety asks “Are you talking about me?” She asks Caro why they are all looking at her. A reporter asks Lety if she is Czech, or maybe Russian. Lety begs Caro get her out of here.

In the restaurant, the new owner guy tells Aldo that his just-finished dish looks great. He asks for the recipe. Aldo says he doesn’t have a recipe, he just invented it. The owner guy asks if the new dish has a name yet. Aldo says it’s called Leticia.

Lety-cam. The reporters ask Lety who she is. She tells them she doesn’t intend to answer that. She tells Caro she needs to see herself. We move away from the Lety-cam and see the bottom of a green gown and strappy high heels. Then we see dark eyes dramatically made-up with eyeliner, sparkly eye shadow, and defined, auburn eyebrows.

Duelo de Pasiones - Wed April 11 - Granillo has finger nails too!

Rosita rolls down the hill after her push/scare from Castulo on horse. Tonky/Donky sweet little doggie goes to sniff her out, then he runs off presumably for help.

Alfonsia packs as Gasca looks on. She comments that his dirty work has been found out by Don Loco. He laughs that he hasn’t been discovered. Hey by chance you aren’t falling in love with him? Gasca queries. Alfonsia claims she is only following his plans. Gasca/Hugo gives her some papers for her to get DL to sign. He tells her they are some papers to take a little bit of the lot Don Loco has away from him.

Castulo tries to buy Alinas love for the night at Edelmiras. Edelmira tells him to leave Alina alone, she has others for him to play with. The other working girls overhear Edelmira protecting Alina and become jealous. Hey Edelmira doesn’t stand up for us like that! Hey Edelmira why you do that! Edelmira claims she did it because Alina has class, they don’t. This comment adds a little more fuel to the fire of jealousy raging at Edelmiras Pit of Love.

Alina goes to bed. She dreams of Emilio but her dream is interrupted by Thelma. She wakes to complain that not even in her dreams is she able to be with Emilio.

Emilio looks at the heart necklace. Angel walks in.

Braulio calls for Rosita. Tonky comes instead. He puts on a coat to go find her with the help of the doggie.

Angel tells Emilio he couldn’t sleep. He's worried about Alina. Emilio argues that she is well taken care of. Angel goes off to bed and Emilio pulls the necklace out again. BTW they both were wearing old fashion PJ's like my grandfather used to wear. Very attractive.

Alvaro spies in on Alfonsia as she packs her bags. He sees the papers Hugo left. He picks them up and asks her what she has in the envelope.

Alina wakes to a sound. It' Granillo coming to chat. He tells her not to be afraid he will protect her. All she has to do is call GRANILLLLLLLO and poof! he will come flying. (Vengo collando!) Alina goes back to bed dreaming of her mommy.

Soledad calls out into the night wishing that Alina is well. She then prays about Elias.

Elias wakes from his make shift sick ward in the cave. Luba watches over him saying that her herbs will cure him. She curses Sergio.

Alfonsia tells Loco that the papers are her birth certifates. Just in case he wants to get married. He laughs.

Braulio is led by Donky to the passed out Rosita who is laying in vocanic rocks. Braulio picks her up to carry her home.

One of the gross working girls uses a knife to pry open a drawer in Edelmiras bedroom. Another gross working girl comes in to scold her, saying Edelmira will claw up her face for stealing the money. First gross girl tells the other that she is going to put the money in Flors room so Edelmira will scratch Flors face not hers.

Creepy doctor tells Mariana that he is going to take her home to Malenas. That way she will be more comfortable so she can respond better to treatments. Marianas eyes bulge out as she follows him with those big eyes of hers.

Gross working girl plants the lana under Alinas pillow while she sleeps.

Edelmira wakes Flor up rudely screaming at her like the class act that she is. Edelmira is always setting the example for the women who work for her. She screams for Flor to get up and work, this isn't some luxury hotel.

Emilio talks with General Ocha and other military men about a new water treatment plant. Emilio warns the general that the job could be dangerous but to count on him.

The Good Tall Doctor Vasquez tells Braulio that Rosita lost the baby. Braulio thinks that she must have fallen. Santos runs in and overhears the tail end of their conversation. He runs out for Rositas room saying No puede ser! It cant be!

Back in Veracruz Don Loco wraps up business by joking around with Hugo. He tells him he has done a fine job with the administration on the farm, blah blah blah. Alfonsia saunters up and loads her bags in Don Locos BMW suv. (I thought that was a strange car for a rancher but …..) Alfonsia sends Hugo a wink as she loads up to go.

Coral chats with a friend about getting married to Celso. She will marry him next week and she will most likely stop dancing. A bouncer for the club tells Coral that someone is there to see her. Its Celsos nephew.

Creepy doctor kisses on Mariana as she sits in a wheel chair with a neck brace. She doesn’t look so happy.

The bad gross working girls find Flor cleaning a floor and trample or her fresh cleaned floor.

The nephew wants to know if Coral will be marry his uncle for his lana. Coral gets tough with him and ends the conversation. He tells the air that she will get hurt for doing this…… Ugh! Please how much drama do we really need?

Angry sore loser Sergio yells at Adela that its her fault Luba's idiot son attacked him. He tells her that he is going back to finish the job of killing Elias. If they try and stop him then he will kill them too. Sergio throws an old snot rag at Adela as he tears out of the room.

Angel runs hard on a treadmill as he is being watched over by a doctor. He has wires connected to him and a heart rate monitor that reads 139/97. Looks like Angel needs some help. Angel tells the doctor that he doesn’t care how tiring the test are, he needs to get healthy so his girl will accept him. Her name is Alina!

Florlina pleads that the girls be friends with her…. If they only knew…. The girls care not for Flors statements. They threaten Flor who keeps answering back saying Cant we be friends! Flor looks silly trying to be friendly when these girls mean business, bad business with her. Flor steps up her character though when the mean girls start to make fun of Soledad. She yells at the girls. They can't talk to her about her MOTHER like that!

Edelmira comes tearing into the area where Alina is fighting with the gross working girls. Someone has stolen her money and they better give it back!

Thelma tells Singing Aunt that Orlando can keep looking for Alina. She doenst care. The aunt worries that Thelma is playing with fire. I think that worry has already peaked so is this aunt blind? Thelma doesn’t care about what the aunt is saying. She goes on to say how she hopes Alina is suffering at Edelmiras.

The gross mean girls all point their fingers at Alina and say its interesting that the money is missing when SHE arrived. We don’t steal. It must be her! Edelmira tells them all that the money better show up!

Santos comforts Rosita who is bedridden and depressed. She feels bad for the baby. The baby isn’t to blame for what has happened! She tells Santos that she is afraid, she didn’t fall, someone made her fall (threw her off the cliff - me avento).

Back in Puebla Emilio and Angel eat in a restaurant. Emilio tells Angel that he has to go away for a few days for a military mission. Angel says he will continue with his test and treatments. He wants to get better so he can help Alina. He wants to get her away from her father, make her happy and get her out of La Rinconada. Emilio sighs and looks away.

Granillo and Alina talk in her room about the missing money. Granillo spots the money under ALinas pillow. He tells her he knows she didn’t do it, she isn’t capable of stealing but what will Edelmira think?! To answer that question Edelmira enters the room, uninvited, and spots the money in Alinas hand. Edel calls Alina a dead fly.

Don Loco goes to Malenas apartment. Malena is impactada to see him. He tells her he is going to take Mariana with him. It's his duty. There are big eyes to be had by all except Don Loco.

Edel goes crazy on Florina. She tells Alina that she will have to pay for what she did. She will end up with her face torn. Edelmira tells Alina all these lovely things as she has her nasty hands with large large fingernails wrapped on Alina's chubby cheeks. Break to ad.

Edelmira lunges to scratch Flor but Granillo butts in. He tells Edel that Alina is telling the truth! He then steps up his words by telling Edel that she cant touch Flor because he has nails too! Tengo mis unitas!

Malena is shocked shocked shocked. She panics trying to come up with reasons on why Alvaro shouldn’t take Mariana with him. Loco claims that the creepy doctor is just an opportunist who wants to get his hands on Alvaros money. Besides they have a good doctor in Sierra Escondida.

Granillo tells Edelmira that they are even. He doesn’t owe her anything. In fact she will have to pay him what she owes him if he was to leave. Plus he wants Edelmira to return all the money she owes Flor! Dogs don’t eat Dogs he taunts. Edelmira doesn’t like what she is hearing. She tells him she doesn’t want to talk about any of that, but she saw Alina with her money, with her own eyes. It was her Edelmira exclaims!

Alvaro and Malena argue about where is best for Mariana. Alvaro wins. He pushes Mariana out the door in her little wheel chair. Mariana starts to squeak in protest. Her eyes roll everywhere in panic.

Edelmira screams some more before she leaves Alinas room. Man all this actress does is scream. I really don’t like her. Granillo tells Alina that the dog that barks doesn’t bite. He repeats how he won't let them hurt her. Flor is convinced the mean girls set her up. Really?

Santos confronts Max in his office. He tells Max that Rosita lost her baby. Max is happy to hear the good news. Kids are just a burden for their parents after all. Santos is shocked; he argues kids are a blessing. Max goes on about his theory of how kids are a burden by saying that if Santos had been his kid he would have killed him before he had caused him any trouble. Max tells Santos that his parents were lucky they died before they had to take care of him. Santos is impactado.

Emilio looks at the heart necklace again. Angel comes in again. They hug their goodbyes.

Flor is confronted by four working girls.

Santos tells Max that he will be punished sooner or later for all the bad that he has done. He warns Max to not come looking for Rosita anymore. Max gets mad and attacks Santos. He pins Santos to the desk as he tells him not to threaten him. He tells Santos that it wasn't he who raped Rosita. He knows who it was. Would Santos like to know?

Emilio tells his driver to wait while he goes into a church to pray.

Thelma tells her aunt that when Orlando no longer serves her she will get rid of him personally.

Max releases Santos telling him that he doesn’t care what Santos thinks about him. He has no reason to lie to him, with power and money and the authorities on his side why would he lie? Would Santos like to know who it was? The only reason why he would tell Santos is so the guy who did it wont get away with doing it again.

Emilio prays to God that he hasn’t forgotten Alina. He wants his brother to be happy with her.

Max tells Santos that on second thought he won't tell him who raped Rosita.

Alvaro talks to Mariana as he drives his SUV. Alfonsia sits in the front seat while Mariana sits in the back in the middle. Alvaro tells his sister that Alfonsia is now the new woman of the house. Mariana thinks to herself that what happened to Soledad?!

Luba pats Elias as Elias begs her to go see Alina. He wants Alina to know that she will be able to see her mother soon as he is better. He also wants Luba to find a fellow engineer (Nunez) to tell him why he hasn’t been to work. Luba tells Gaspar to stay and watch over Elias. She reminds Gaspar that he knows what to do if Sergio shows back up. She hands Gaspar a brown bottle.

All the working girls plus Edelmira are enjoying a feast. Alina walks up and flips a plate of food onto the face of the main bad girl. A silly word fight ensues with Edelmira commanding that she has issued a punishment to Flor. Her punishment is to not have food.

Frank warns Emilio for the umpteenth time that Orlando is not his friend. Emilio doesn’t want to hear the news.

The main bad girl gets uptight with Alina and pulls a knife out and holds it to Alina's throat. Edelmira breaks the fight up saying NO FOOD to Alina as she tells her to go away.

The Singing Aunt wants to know what will happen to the baby when it's born. Orlando walks in the room and interrupts the conversation as he wonders where could Alina be?!

Luba has Vera cornered in the kitchen as she tries to find Alina. Castulo walks in on the women. He tells Luba he knows where Alina is. He will tell her because she is the mother of Gaspar. Alina is at the Meson de Edelmira.

Emilio visits Coral at the Devils Cave. Emilio asks Coral to look over Flor if something happens to him as he heads off on a military mission. She tells him to be careful and she will help.

Soledad starts to move things around in the barn looking for a way out. She finds a bar and uses it to pry open the font doors.

Adela is shocked to see Alvaro arrive with Mariana in a wheelchair. Alvaro orders Mariana to be taken to a guest room, and for Adela to recognize Alfonsia as the woman of the house. Alvaro orders Sergio to bring Soledad to him so they can talk.

Creepy doctor goes to Malenas apartment with Flowers in hand. Malena fills him in on what happened.

Just as stupid Soledad breaks out of the barn Sergio walks up. He makes fun of her and orders her to her old room.

Max tells Castulo that he knows he did his job with Rosita. Now he has another job for him. Get rid of Santos. Take him out of this world.

Alfonsia thumbs through Soledad's clothes. Loco tells her to take anything she wants. Soledad arrives to see Alfonsia touching her stuff. Loco tells her that Alfonsia is the new woman of the house. Soledad laughs telling him look how far you’ve fallen. I don’t care if you have one girlfriend or a thousand. Loco, to test Soledad after her comment, pulls Alfonsia to him and sucks face with her. Soledad averts her eyes.

The ads for tomorrow show Soledad telling Mariana about THE LETTER. Marianas eyes are large.

La Fea Más Bella #251 4/11/07 Our rug is pulled out and Fea gets more fea yet still had galans showering her with gifts

Aldo goes in to see the Judge. “Thanks for seeing me on such short notice.” The judge says, “Well you told me it was an emergency, so shoot.” He rejects the Jues’ offer to take a seat. Cooties? Jeans too tight? Odd… anyway, the judge asks him to explain.
“Why are you interested in buying this debt?” A - Well I’m partly responsible for the shortcoming in funds, but also I feel a little moral responsibility to cover it. The judge explains that if he buys the debt then he practically owns the whole business. Aldo says he will put a clause in the contract that says he will have no interest in the business, he doesn’t want it. He will require that the Mendiola/Villaroels pay him back for every last cent. The judge, wonderful cynical upholder of justice that he is, knows there’s more to it, so he questions Aldo further as to what he is hiding. Aldo says, don’t worry it’s not a selfish reason, (oh really?) the principal reason that I’m doing this is for love. To liberate the woman I love from Conceptos and now nothing can separate us.
Lety is in her room recalling the second Fer asked her to marry him. She makes her silly smile and answers him again in the present. Mama Juli runs in and want to know what happened. Lety left her “with Jesus in her mouth.” Lety tells her she is sooo happpy, he’s really in love with her!! Mami doesn’t want her to rush into things and wants her to be careful. Lety says it’s different this time, he wants to get married, so my papa will have to find out about this. What did you say to him? I told him no. Juli is impactada. Lety says of course I told him yes, how could you think otherwise. Julieta does her best Moty imitation pawing Lety’s hands over multiple times, she smiles then tells Lety she doesn’t like this one bit. She’s afraid she will get hurt.
Mami asks what will happen with Aldo? This is going to crush him. L- Well I know and I’ll have to talk to him and tell him Fer and I reconciled. Lety really doesn’t want to lose Aldo though, she owes him alot. Her smart mom tells her though if you really love Fer you have to resign yourself to the fact that you will lose Aldo. It’s hard, but that’s love. (Funny, in other novelas they haven’t seemed to grasp this concept.)
Fern is at his parents’ home and he tells them some wonderful news. He’s getting married. The Mendiolas seem to react at first as if he told them he caught the clap. Fer is not phased. Humb wants to know how this happened because yesterday everything was chaos and weren’t you supposed to marry Marcia? He continues, things were never right with Marcia but I’ve loved Lety for a while. It’s a long story I’ll tell you later, well, we separated for a few months because of some little, little things, but now we have reconciled and at dawn I asked her to marry me!!!
Bozo says ok, well if that’s what you want then fine. Fer says yes I love her with all my heart. Bozo says well I told you I was not fond of her before, but I guess now the two of you together will be good for the business going forward. Fer starts yelling at her that the business is the least of it, then sees an impactado Humb and corrects himself that yes, the business is really important , uh, but what’s more important is love, that Lety and I are in love. Humb actually agrees his son’s happiness is the most important, and so he will support him.
Bozo and Humb ask Fer how this all came about. He tells them they’ll never believe it, but the Marcia Villaroel, the one you know, not another one, our Marcia actually told Lety that I really love her! Bozo is impactada. I think it’s acting face # 35 from her repertoire (didn’t someone make these references before?) the “I’m shocked, but I really knew along, but I’m still not going to let you know I knew look up with a slight roll of the eyes to see if anyone figured her out.”
She’s a marvelous actress, indeed, indeed.
Lety is longingly writing a letter telling Aldo how much she cares about him but sorry I gotta dump you shell man. The least I want to do is hurt you. You are marvelous and I care for you a lot. I have so much to tell you but I don’t know where to start. First I want to beg your forgiveness. She stops and puts it in her draw and walks away with Moty.

Ok, can I just say about this scene, and many times before, it kills me that here is this fashion challenged misfit with life long braces and unibrow, but did you all notice she's always had a chic french manicure!!!!!! Keep in character people.... that bugs me. I've never even had one, and Miss opaque panty hose wearin', my suit is boxy and too big for me and I used to wear Grandma clothes does????? Sheessshhh! In true Letyland she'd have bright green nail polish with pink flower stick ons and sparkles. Come on now...
Aldo signs the paperwork to buy the debt Conceptos owes and now it’s saved from being liquidated and the judge wishes him well. He is way to happy for someone who just sold everything he loves to bail someone else out of a problem.
Bozo still talking to Fer, says so I guess thanks to Marcia you are together. She thinks it’s ironic that the woman that loves you so much gave you to be with another woman.
Mar wakes up looking incredibly unnaturally freshly made up, and proclaims that she needs to find out what happened.
Tom busts past some strangers in the elevator running in to see if his chica is there. She is and he wonders why she wasn’t home when he went to pick her up. Alicia converses with Tomas that she is mad at him because she has this problem with her apartment and he isn’t even trying to help and acts as if it’s nothing and blah blah blah, so he flusters himself for a moment then tells her he has actually thought about it and here’s his proposition. He blurts out that she could come and live in his house!!!! She acts as if she likes that idea, then he tells her but they have to live with his mother. She keep up the enthusiasm while he continues that she would have her own room etc. She ultimately says it would be great, but only if first he and his Mom left, and let her alone have the house!!! Tomas pouts.
The cuartel is in the bathroom wondering what happened and will happen with Lety and Don Fer. Irma says it will turn out as God intended and they need to get to work. I must say, Juana looks like she got her finger stuck in the toaster this morning. They finally go out.
Lety comes in. Lety says hello. The cackling hens bug her for the scoop. She greets a guest and tells her to come to her office as they follow her bugging her for more fodder. Turns out the guest was the girl who won the Odiosa contest in Acapulco. She wanted to thank Lety for all her help and encouragement and to share with her the pictures that have been taken of her, and the changes she’s gone through.
We flash to Aldo buying an orchid for his “Novia.” Anyway. Lety comes out of her office again conveniently without the guest and the cuartel mob her again. She tells them she can’t tell them anything. Just then Marcia approaches yelling at Lety.
The hens disperse. How dare she. She wants to know what happened between Lety and Fer. Lety politely says she’d like to retain the image of the noble and humane Marcia of yesterday and that she should really ask Fer. I say it’s none of Mar’s business and she should just step aside….but I have no control. Tomas saves Lety by coming up and saying they need to talk about the debt. She gladly obliges and walks to her office with him. The hens cackle again. Alicia now bugs Mar telling her she looks really bad. Mar thanks her for her tact. She asks straight out if Ali knows anything of Lety and Fer. Mar wonders if Fer is here and Ali says no idea where he is. Ali tells her she should just call Fer and ask him. Mar tells Ali she knows nothing of keeping dignity.
Lety is on the phone trying to get a loan from the bank, which of course isn’t happening because of the past problems. She and Tomas fret, not knowing what they will do. Lety says she needs to try to find Aldo. She calls the cell but he doesn’t answer, so she leaves a message. Tomas knows she went with Mandiola and wants to know what happened with Fer. She says she’ll tell him, but not until she tells Aldo. Tomas bounces like a little boy who needs to make peepee.
The cuartel thinks it’s unfair that Lety doesn’t tell them anything. Just then Fer comes dancing in. Literally dancing. Salsa, I believe. He puts down a little yellow bag and dances with everyone in the vortex in great joy. He tells them in his novelas the good guys always win!! [Is this foreshadowing?] He takes one bite of chicharron and puts it back on Martha’s desk. Hmmm. The cuartel enjoy his performance. The cuartel speculate about his behavior. Irma notes he’s sporting the face of someone in love.

He sneaks up on Tomas in Lety’s office while she is talking to him and gives him a giant bear hug. He plants a huge kiss on him. Lety tells him they were just going to go to the judge. Don Fer tells Lety he’ll take care of the judge. He tells him how much he loves him. He starts to say how since he is Lety’s hermano, he will now be his….Lety makes a face and Fer realizes Tomas doesn’t know yet, so he asks how he’s doing. He asks Tomas if there isn’t something or someone waiting for him outside. Tomas says no, he says not even Alicia, or Luigi or ….he eventually says thanks and shoves Tomas out by the back of his neck. Then he plants another big one on Lety.
The cuartel laugh at Tomas for being kicked out.
Alicia and Mar are talking and Alicia says the traitor came. He’s that because he exchanged Mar for the Tlacoyo Bigoton. He said in the novellas the good guy wins, and he got his and he’s happy etc. Now Mar says she needs to go see him. Wisely for a change, Alicia dissuades her saying noyou better not because you might find them kissing!!!! Mar is impactada.
Fer gives her the yellow bag. It’s a new diary. He says since he read hers and that was wrong, he thought he’d get a new one that they could write together so there would never be misunderstanding or bad feelings between them. He asks her which side she wants as they’ll each get a page. She tells him they will write a diary together. He agrees and plants a big fat one on her. I’m so jealous!!! Just then Aldo bounces in (without knocking…good thing she wasn’t with an important client) and tells her he has some good news for her. Well, she’s got news for him too……apparently….
Aldo sadly looks down. Lety tells him she has to talk to him. Fer says no I’ll talk to him, gentleman to gentleman. Lety begs that he let her talk to him, and he says he’ll go out then. Aldo says to nevermind both, he only came to give Lety a gift, well a gift for the both of you. He hands the folder to Fer. Fer notes it’s the debt that Conceptos owed. Lety takes a peek. He says he doesn’t understand. Aldo explains that he sold his house (stab) his boat (stab) and his new restaurant (stab, stab) to pay off the debt so Lety would be free to leave Conceptos with a clear conscience. He just sucked all the air out of that room. She asks him why? He says he wanted her to be free to decide. He says you decided, huh? He goes to leave, but not before he pays his final homage to the ladyparts shell. Yeah, I’m sure he’ll miss that oversexed thing more than Lety ever would…..
As Aldo goes out, the cuartel ask him if he’s ok, he says no not at all. He apologizes but he has to go. The cuartel speculate that he is upset because he found Lety with Fer the traitor. They want to go in and find out what happened but Irma reminds them she is still with Don Fer
Back in the office Lety is still upset. Fer tells her, “Don’t be sad. We’re together you and I. I understand that Aldo was a part of your life that’s over now. He says they are going to get married and he’s even going to ask formally for her hand today. She cries more. He asks her if she has doubts. Does she love Aldo? She tells him she loves Fer, but now Aldo's gone. He asks what they are going to do. He picks up the diario and says the pages are blank, but I guess we aren’t ready to write our story yet. I saw your face when he left. Your tears speak louder than your words. You need to be free to figure out your feelings. I don’t want to force you or obligate you to be with me. I love you and want to marry you. We need to write our story without any shadow of doubt. I love you. So essentially figure it out then call me. She loses it. Well, what did she think, it would be easy???? Nah.
Of course As Fer leaves Mar walks right past. She asks him what happened, and he makes a face and shakes his head solemnly. She runs after him asking him what could be so bad.
Lety calls Tomas to come immediately. The cuartel rush in to see if Lety is ok. They tell what they saw and ask her what happened. She is crying. She says she lost both men. Martha very sweetly gives her a chocolate bar to make her feel better. Tomas comes in and she asks the cuartel to leave them alone. She cries to Tomas.
Mar is talking to Fer and she can’t believe that Aldo bought the debt. Like the good shrew that she is she immediately doubts his intentions, and thinks he wants the business and might even have bought it to give to Lety. She says who knows, but well now she supposes that Lety is going with Fer. Fer says we are talking about the business and not him, and she says, whatever, we need to figure out what he intends. Fer says that he’ll just have Mora investigate.
Lety, still crying, rehashes to Tomas and tells him she discovered she loves Aldo too, that she loves them both if that’s possible. He thinks it’s for the record books that she has rejected two first class handsome men. Tomas says Aldo’s his hero for selling all his stuff. Tomas I need help, I don’t know what to do. Tomas thinks she needs a psychologist. No what I need is chocolate. Spoken like a good woman! Ow! She takes a bite and a peanut hurt her braces. Tomas tells her she has to find a psychologist that is a dentist too! She exits in pain after giving Tomas the papers. She asks him to talk to Aldo and find out more details about the debt Aldo paid. Tomas wonders about Aldo while reading the papers.
Fer continues to Mar that he found out that Lety doesn’t love him. Mar is impactada and thinks maybe what she said to Lety didn’t work so maybe she shouldn’t have said it. Fer tells her not to get it wrong that Lety does love him, well she half loves him. Mar asks him to clarify. So he tells her that Lety loves him but she also loves Aldo. Mar thinks it’s a joke. He says he wishes it was, but unfortunately for him it’s not. Mar doesn’t lose this opportunity to tell Fer that she still cares for him. He begs her not to get into that conversation again, and tells her they need to focus on the debt issue. She abruptly leaves the office.
Aldo is outside of his father’s house and begs to see him. He just wants a hug from his daddy. Daddy make it all better please. Poor Aldo. This is quite sad, I actually almost cried.
Alicia is talking to Mar. Alicia, can’t believe that the Tlacoyo Bigoton has the luxury of having the love both of those great and rich guys. Well, Fer is almost broke, but Aldo is really rich and she can’t believe he sold all this stuff for her. She tells Mar, “We did something wrong. You got broken up for the Garnacha, and all I can get is Mora. Mar says speaking of him, stay close to him. She says no way. Mar says you sure like his Vice President’s salary. Alicia says she offended. Mar tells her she needs to find out what he knows about the debt situation. Marcia tells her she has to get close to the VP to spy for her and if she doesn’t she can look for another job!!
We then go to the orthodontist. Finally after a year. Amazing. The doc says this isn’t pretty, but it will work very well. Think she’ll get her braces off after 20 years? NO - She gets a retaining brace that looks worse!!!!! Ay Caray!!!
Lety screams saying this is horrible.
There's just one more continuity thing bugging me besides the fingernails. Lety agreed to come to Acapulco with Aldo only to accept the work proposal, to manage the business aspect of the new restaurant.
Umm, Aldo sold the restaurant........
