CS 8-26-10 The Novios Are Coming! The Novios Are Coming!

On this, my last night to recap CS, did I get an exciting episode filled with madness and mayhem? Death and destruction? No. I got about 5 minutes of good action and the rest is flashbacks and filler. But for all my readers in Viewerville I will do my best to make this enjoyable.

Disclaimer: Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am not responsible for how boring this episode was, for Leo’s ugly dress, or for the rat in the bucket.

Juan is chained to the ceiling and Rod is teasing him with the whip. Beat me Big Daddy! Come on! Too bad he just can’t get behind Rod and get him in a sleeper hold. He’s tall enough to do it. Me, I’d have to stand on a chair and that would kind of ruin the surprise. Rod leaves and locks him in his cell. He keeps trying to get loose.

Over at De Marin’s, JimAngela is so happy to think that she will be married to Gabe by tomorrow. They talk about everybody being happy. She’s sad when she thinks about Juan Mari reminds her that Gabe is suffering also.

Gabe is on the beach practicing his sword fighting and freaking out his horse. He stabs the sand. Tomorrow he gets married but his friend/father figure/boss is not at his side. He looks determined and pissed off.

Santos is on the beach looking out to sea. He looks very sad also. Jacinta sees him and tells him not to be sad because they are about to marry. He says yes but he is sad because Juan won’t be with them. He is always with us. His heart is always with us. Santos cries.

Juan is doing pull-ups in his cell. No wait, he’s trying to escape. My mistake. Somebody bellows his name. It’s Rod. He’s just checking to see if Juan’s accommodations are to his liking. No, that’s not it. He’s going to enjoy Juan’s suffering. You don’t know how much. Juan calls him a coward. Rod gets all warmed up. He uses that whip like a girlie-man. I’m so afraid. Gabriella from FELS makes Rod look like a girl scout.

Regina is sitting up in bed looking pretty in pink. She remembers back to when they were forced to get married. She remembers the wedding day. Flashbacks from the ship. She realizes that she has loved him all this time. She kisses her ring remembering her first kiss with Juan and all her other kisses after that. She says you can’t be dead. You can’t abandon me.

Back at the Finca Rod is finished with his flogging. Juan insults Rod and Rod insults his father. Juan gets all lathered up and says don’t insult my dad. Juan says you never accepted that my mom could love someone besides you. That I am their son. Rod hits him. That rat in the bucket disturbs me. Your daughter is expecting my child. Rod smacks him again. It will be a bastard. Regina will never return to you. Still the rat. Ewww!

It’s a dark and stormy night. Arcadio is still pacing at the finca. Where is that woman? Leo shows up and said she had to get the jewels. Arcadio tells her everything is ready for tomorrow. He escorts her to the dungeon.

Juan is still trying to get loose. He’s trying to pull the beam down to get his hands free. Good idea. He thinks of Regina and works harder to get himself free. He has flashbacks of Regina. The night she told him he could sleep with her. Their first night of passion. He thinks that she has to know that he is still alive.

Over at the doctors, Pablo doesn’t think it is wise for Regina to go to the weddings. She begs to go to the religious ceremony. She wants to be there since Juan can’t. She has faith that he will return. She says they should all be happy because that is what Juan would want.

Over at Renato’s he’s talking to himself. I can’t look at Regina because Juan is not back. I’m not convinced that Juan is dead. He flashes back to the sword fight on Penon del Diablo. Regina’s son will be a bastard.

Down in the dungeon Rod is trying to convince Juan that he loved MdR with all his heart. You don’t know love. I continue loving her. If you love my mother as much as you say then why are you such a pain in everyone’s ass? When your mother decided on another it changed my whole life. It made me what I am. For the first time I’m speaking the truth. Really? I love her more than my own life.

The next day everyone is gathering for the big event. Did I see Fully? Noel is going on about the ceremony and how great it was. Mari agrees. Colibri announces the novios are coming! The three couples appear in boats. Everyone looks so awesome. Pedro gives a toast to all the couples but especially to Juan who he knows is with them on this special day. Let’s start the music. There is a huge cheer for that. Music and dancing begins.

Over at Renato’s he drunk again. Leo comes home and blasts him for always being drunk. She makes him take a look at himself in the mirror. He sure looks like hell. But he did come back from the dead so maybe she should cut him some slack. If’s he’s going to redeem himself he better get a move-on. Only two more episodes to go. He starts to take a drink but pauses. Dramatic music plays in the background. He must have heard me. He turns and looks in the mirror again. He throws his drink at it. Do you know how many dumpster diving trips it would take me to find a mirror that awesome? Geez!

Back to the party. Snore FF>> Noel is singing FF>> for real. Everybody is laughing at him. Oh the horror! Make it stop! FF>>x2

Renato comes down fresh as a daisy. I hear the Rocky theme song playing in my head. He looks at himself in the mirror that he ruined and thinks that she will see him as the Renato he was before.

Back at the fiesta Eusabio and Pedro are acting like the 3 stooges minus one. Noel gets asked to dance. I’m not even going to comment on that. More FF>>

Back to Rod and Juan in the dungeon. (Thank Gawd!) I think Rod’s losing his mind. He just keeps talking but not really to Juan. He keeps talking about how beautiful MdR was and how rotten Juan’s father was. Yeah, yeah, we’ve heard it all before. Juan tries to get through to him. To tell Regina that he is still alive. She’s very fragile. She might lose our child. Oh yeah, I’m sure that’s going to happen. I think Rod is about one brick shy of a load at this point.

Back to the party. Man, I’m getting whiplash. Each new husband tells their new wife how much they love them. Each bride looks beautiful and each groom looks handsome. Except maybe for Santos who looks better but the jury is still out on that one. Smoochies all around.

Over at Pablo’s Regina is still trying to convice him that she feels great and wants to go to the party. He wants her to get back in bed and rest. Party pooper. The doc leaves. Regina says screw this, and gets out of bed and covers her head with a shawl. Because for sure nobody will recognize her.

Renato is riding his horse through the countryside.

Arcadio is pacing and thinking that he needs a bottle of something.

Pablo comes back to check on Regina and sees that the bird has flown the coop. What did you expect anyway? She left. She must have gone to the wedding party. Really? You don’t say? Duh!

Arcadio is doing what he does best--lurking. He sees Regina walk by. He sneaks up behind Regina and grabs her. Bastard! He throws her to the ground and yells at her about what a bad woman she is. He straddles her and holds her on the ground. He smacks her. Where did that come from?

Juan is still trying to have a rational conversation with Rod. He’s still trying to convince Rod that he needs to see Regina. He calls the finca the house of death. Rod pulls out a gun. He’s not going to be happy until Juan is dead.

Back to Arcadio who is trying to rape Regina. Where’s Renato?

Rod is still taunting Juan in the dungeon. He’s pondering if he should shoot him or leave him in is own hell.

Finally the Lone Ranger shows up and pops Arcadio a good one. Regina is a mess. Renato tells him to fight like a man. Arcadio pulls out a knife. Renato manages to get it away from him. He goes to Regina. Don’t turn your back, don’t turn your back! Arcadio has another knife, and who wouldn’t? I always carry a spare in my pantyhose. Arcadio grabs Renato and stabs him a couple of times. He’s down. End. See what I mean?

Morning everyone. I'm sad for this to be my last recap for CS. As everyone has said this week, thank you to everyone who made it possible to keep this show alive. Recappers and commentors alike. Thank you Jeri for being our awesome team leader. Thank you to Jody who took the time out of her busy schedule to make us all an ornament that will help us remember this show.

Thank you, Connie! And thanks so much for your faithful hanging in there so long after the time slot change -- and after you started recapping for the new show, too! Amazing. Just amazing.

I haven't watched this episode yet, but I will be back. Looking forward to your always hilarious recaps. Thanks again!

Thanks, Connie. I really appreciate all your time and effort. We were a small but loyal and tenacious group of fans. I will miss CS, Big Ed, and our little village of recappers and commentors . Well, Arcadio needs some counseling in the form of a gigantic anvil . Did anyone else scream at their TV ''Renato, you fool, don't turn your back on crazy Arcadio .'' The guy is like a cockroach in a Planet of the Apes costume. You just can't kill this lumbering hulk. Geez, watching Juan pulling himself up on the chains attached to the ceiling was...kind of thrilling. Does that make me a bad person ? I hope that he is able to free himself and escape and save Reggie from BSC Archie. Or...will Superdoc arrive on the scene in time to save yet another damsel in distress. And Noel...is there anything this guy can't do ? Now, he's a singer and dancer. You can see that Rene C. is just eating up this role. The novela has turned into the ''Rene C. Show'' starring Rene C. with songs and dances by Rene C. I was sort of upset with all the happy happy joy joy at the wedding reception while poor Juan was hanging like a side of beef...yeah, just like a prime rib...in the finca cellar getting flogged by Old Rod. Gee, my son=in=law's dog was hit by a car the night before the wedding , and we were all a lot more subdued and upset than this wedding party. Go , Juan , go...break those chains, Big Guy.

Thanks Connie, your efforts and humor much appreciated throughout this TN.

I was groaning the entire episode...WTH????? Like the writers just stopped writing. How much Karaoke do we have to watch? Noel love you, but Enrique Iglesias you are not.

Arcadio/ satan incarnate, with so little time left will not get what he deserves. Death too nice for him.

Fully "the gentleman assassin" do not see that getting resolved in any deserving manner.

Loved this show, but am dissappointed in the writing now in the last few episodes.

Enjoyed all the comments, will miss everyone's humor. Many LOL moments from you all.

EY also in film "Striptease" with Demi Moore and Burt Reynolds, in mid nineties. FYI

Cheers!
Bernadette

Mad Bess:

Geez, watching Juan pulling himself up on the chains attached to the ceiling was...kind of thrilling. Does that make me a bad person ?

LOL LOL LOL :))))

Loved his physical prowess as well!!

Connie, I couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud at your'e hilarious recap! I actually have been watching these last shows and am glad to at last see Renato step up and do something decent for a change. If I had to listen to him rant and whine one more time I swear I was going to go hoarse from yelling at the screen at dumbass. I still can't believe how Fully has everyone snowed, couldn't stomache seeing him sit at the table with Noel, Mariela' and her parents like butter could melt in his mouth. I hope he has justice coming to him to, even though I didn't like Fed or Elo, he still shouldn't get away with their murders. I loved the Juan and Regina flashbacks. I'll have to have my kleenex ready tonight I don't see Renato surviving, Hopefully the other evil rat packs will get what's coming to them real soon. Thanks again Connie, and Jody for the CS keepsake(I have it hanging up) and all recappers!

Boy, Connie - you weren't kidding about the flashbacks! Does Hallmark make a sympathy card for the loss of a decent episode as your final recap? Thanks for slogging through it (and all the others) for us!

So, Rod, you finally have your greatest enemy in your grasp, and all you can think to do is whip him? Frankly, I'm a little disappointed. And if recent history is any indication, I don't think Rod's going to be particularly moved by threats of lost children.

Doctorcito should have considered that if he didn't let Regina go to the weddings, they might have dragged the priest to his office and had the ceremony peformed there. Gotta love how he puts her to bed fully clothed. That'd sure inconvenience me right out of sneaking out, yep. And what the hell, we didn't even get to see it? Now I feel really gypped (sorry, Jimengela)! That Juan de Dios boat sees a lot of use - weddings, funerals... If he ever goes broke, he can start renting it out.

Noel must have been playing...the CS drinking game! Fully looked thrilled to be there, didn't he? He was probably either having the same reaction as Connie, or hoping the new wives would also turn into cheatin' whores so he'd have someone to commiserate with. (Remi, privately: "Too late." Did anyone else have a quiet, guilty snicker at realizing Lulu's dress wasn't precisely white?)

I'd say Arcadio is a prime example of why it was a mistake to close the casino down, but I bet even they wouldn't have taken his money. Mad Bess, Doctorcito's on Regina's trail (I assume), so I bet he will make another miraculous appearance - put Arcadio down like a rabid dog, save Renato just moments from death, fling up his hands and wonder why he didn't take that nice, safe job in the mines like Madre suggested after the elder Miranda broke his neck coming home from a call in the dead of night... I'm starting to wonder if anyone ever even goes to the office to fetch him. Maybe Veracruz has a Pablo signal on top of the alguacil's office.

Or maybe Regina will be forced to somehow neutralize Arcadio to save Renato and herself. Now that would be a sight! Renato did snatch that other knife away from him, after all... There's that convenient river for his drunken lumbering arse to stumble into, too.

I think that there is an anvil in Fully's future. Even if nobody discovers his heart of darkness and all the murders he has committed, karma will come calling on Fully. Maybe he'll be out for his morning constitutional , and he'll slip down into the crowd of bodies he has deposited .

I think Arcadio thinks Regina is a ho because he and Rosenda discussed the many times the nun (Aimee) snuck out of the house to get her groove on.

Arcadio doesn't know Regina was the sweet, pure twin. He thinks she is a sneaky ho just like her sister.

And at this point it doesn't matter if Arcadio knows that Regina was never a ho because he hates all things Montes de Oca.

Speaking of hos, LOL'ing at Lulu's ivory dress while Jacinta and Jimangela had on white.

Well, Renato DID say he'd fight to the death for Regina.

Connie, Jeri, Kat, and all of the CS recappers, THANK YOU for keeping me up to date with the story line with such humor and wit. It's been really fantastic being with all of you here in the Caray community. I can't believe we only have two episodes left. No matter what happens, we surely will not get nearly enough time to see all of the good people of CS happy and all of the bad people of CS punished. But, asi es la vida, verdad?

Mad Bess- Yes, this has turned into the Rene C. Show LOL!!! I was cracking up! Did you see when he mentioned Mariela in the song that Don DeMarin did not appreciate it? :)

And Ren! Even after he admits that Juan tried to save him in the end, he still cannot give up his stupid obsession for Reggie- I wish Leonarda would have smacked him a good one instead of just accepting his BS and walking away. But now that Arca has stabbed him, maybe finally he will come to his senses- it's not like we have that much more time left anyway.

Many loose ends have been tied up, but the few that are left are going to be great to see, as little of them as we will get to see.

Drama writers need to understand that the audience doesn't always want to be left to their imagination to figure out what becomes of the characters we have invested so much time in- sometimes we would like to see a little bit more, where the resolution to the issues have led, and how they are doing. I mean okay, not all the time, but sometimes, maybe?

In the case of CS, we only have two more episodes to find out what is going to happen to:

Dr. Miranda- will we see Rosenda again? Will the death of his uncle be resolved? Will the culprits pay?

Renato- will he die after being attacked by Arcadio? Will he come to his senses and let Juan and Reggie be happy?

Noel- will he truly be able to reunite with Ren? Will he be able to convince Ren to let Juan and Reggie be happy and go back to being his former, more honorable self? Will he finalize his divorce to Leo and get together with Mariela?

Mariela- will she be finally able to unite with Noel and have true peace and happiness in her life?

Leo- will she escape with MdR's jewels, Rod's money and Arcadio? Will she pay for all of the suffering she has caused?

Rod- will he let Juan go or kill him? Will he pay for all of the misery he has caused?

Arca- will he get away with Rod and Leo's fortunes? Will Dr. Miranda happen upon him, Ren and Reggie and kill Arca to save them?

Fully- will he get found out for all of the murders he's committed and/or ordered or get away with it all?

Juan- will he escape the labyrinth and get back to Reggie and their unborn child? Will stop doubting Reggie's love for him?

Reggie- will she get Juan back alive? Will they get married and live happily ever after with their child forever, as she so desires?

See what I mean? And I'm sure I left stuff out! Tonight and Monday night had better be jam packed action episodes or it will be such a letdown. I mean, Monday night- everybody's happy, kiss kiss? I don't think so :(

Marisol

Connie, such a great job. Your recap was just hilarious. There were so many great lines I can't possibly list them all. You made the episode a lot more fun. I also could not believe with only these few episodes left that they pretty much wasted last night.

Mad Bess - so funny about the Rene C. show

I was so hoping that at least one of our villains would get theirs last night. There is so much to wrap up I don't see how it can be done in such a short time.

Anon - I also noticed that LuLu had an ivory dress. I loved all the dresses though especially Jacinta's native dress. I thought she looked lovely.

FYI-

CIUDAD VICTORIA, Mexico — A car bomb exploded in northern Mexico outside a studio of top broadcaster Televisa early on Friday, days after marines found 72 bodies killed by drug gangs in the country's escalating cartel war.

There were no deaths or injuries from the blast, which was the second car bomb this month in Ciudad Victoria. No one was killed in the first bomb.

Two witnesses saw the charred remains of a parked vehicle outside the TV studio in the capital of Tamaulipas state, Ciudad Victoria, about 220 miles south of the Texas border, after Friday's blast. Televisa's main morning news anchorman said nearby buildings were damaged, causing a power outage.

Military officials were not available for comment but soldiers cordoned off the area.

"A car bomb exploded near the studios of Televisa Ciudad Victoria, Tamps. No colleague injured," Televisa's anchor Carlos Loret de Mola said on Twitter. Televisa did not give more details of the blast.

Marisol

Marisol,

I don't remember which episode, but Dr. Miranda said he was tired due to traveling back and forth to see Rosenda. I believe, someone please correct me. We apparently do not get to see this couple together. I belive the actress was pregnant at the time and that is how they handled that storyline.

Bernadette

Thanks, Connie! What a drag this episode was...I enjoyed all of your recaps for CS nonetheless. Always filled with fun. :)

Thanks Kat, Jeri, Ivy for the M-W recaps! You all did a great job. What a fun ride.

I look forward to your recap tomorrow, Jardinera.

Thanks you for the funny recap Connie. At least you did not have to work harder than needed with all the FF. lol. Renato should have finished off Arcadio. I knew when he turned his back that he would be very vulnerable. Never ever turn your back to an opponent unless you know he is really neutralized. If Renato is trully dead, I wonder how Arcadio breaks the news to Leonarda as he does her in bed. Imagine the shock and awe reactions to the ghastly deed.

Don Noel must have been drunk from a little too much tequila for all the singing and dancing he was doing. The dancing was slightly better than the singing. Good lord! It hurt my ears. ;) Lol. I was chuckling at the guy feeding Noel the lines for him to sing. Triple wedding to be followed by a predictable Juan and Regina wedding maybe? Then again, they are still married and the 'Annulment' did not matter since it was not legal and was falsified. So technically there never was an annulment.

If Renato dies, then he dies a noble death to atone for his wrong doings while saving Regina from Arcadio. If he lives, will he save Juan from Rodrigo or will something else happen?

Right now, I await Aribeth's new pics to be uploaded. Glad to have Jardinera recap a final and we see Cielo de Levy here too. Groovy. ;)

Not sure how that misconception got started; but just to clear things up: Sue is our regular Friday recapper; and Ivy will be recapping the finale, and many thanks to them!

P.S. The show ends Monday.

Sue will recap tonight's episode and Ivy the finale on Monday.

Thanks for clarifying Jeri. :)

Thank you, Connie! I always loved your enthusiasm, fangirling and smart, snappy side comments.

I agree with Bernadette that the writing of the last episodes is worse than usual. I'm very disappointed in both Mejía and Abud, on the esmas forum the foristas wrote better storylines for the last week than the professionals. But the show is still charming, and after all, these are the last hours, so let's enjoy them.

René Casados show: LOL. Oh yes, he stole the show often. I adore him, I can't hardly wait for watching him in CME again.

As for Arcadio and Regina: aside from the fact that he's a horny beast who would f*** even Servando if he was dressed like woman, she always was a pain in his ass. Reggie was the irritating, soft-speaking, cheesy little saint who intruded the catacombs too many times, nursed the sick workers in Paraiso and got him into trouble. He didn't like her at all, and now that the little ex-nun belongs to the hated bastard of MdR and she admittedly loves him Orca feels free to destroy her. No matter how decent and respectable Regina is, now she's the woman who sleeps with the enemy and carries his child = whore = has no rights and deserves to be raped. It's a usual pattern in melodramas and unfortunately often happens in real life, too.

I hope that the links will work. I couldn't watch the videos because damned youtube and Sony Music Entertainment blocked them in Hungary because they contain too much notes from the Chayanne song. Damn you geobanning, damn you redundant copyright restrictments.

OMG, OMG, OMG, Angelina Jolie is going to shoot a movie in Budapest.

I want to thank you Connie for another brilliant recap. In addition, thank you for continuing to recap CS in spite of the time change and even doing double duty by recapping STuD. You are a trooper.

On with the show. I was a bit bored with the wedding reception myself and was waiting for some action. However, I must say that all the brides were beautiful and the grooms handsome. LOL Fully seemed to be enjoying himself as well.

Orca has to die and soon. In addition to tryint to rape Jacinta, he's now tried to rape Regina and would have been successful if Renato hadn't shown up. But in saving Regina, Renato took a knife to the chest. This is eerily like the last time Orca tried to knife Renato but Juan stopped him. Unfortunately, this time Juan wasn't there to come to Renato's rescue.

I'm glad the flogging scene was brief. I couldn't take too much of that. I hope Juan breaks free to get to Regina. Once he finds out what Orca tried to do, he's a dead man for sure.

I hope Renato survives and maybe this will be his wake up call to leave Regina alone and move on with his life.

When is Leo and Rod finally going to get run over by the pie cart? Hopefully, it will happen tonight since we only have one more show after this.

Once again my hats off to all the recappers who gave us memorable and hysterical recaps. You are the best.

I also want to thank Aribeth for providing YouTube links to the show for those of us who couldn't stay up at midnight to watch. It is much appreciated.

The love birds, aka Jacinta & Santos, Lulu & Remi, Gabe & Jime. A little nitpicking: I don't care about what kind of dress a bride wears, but if Lulu was dressed in ivory then Jime who wasn't a virgin either why got a white gown? :)

Having just discovered this place: thank you, ladies, for providing the appropriate levels of snark for this hot mess of a show. Now I'm just really hoping for one last good shot of Regina in full-tilt Strawberry Shortcake Wonderbra Edition regalia before it ends...

"Geez, watching Juan pulling himself up on the chains attached to the ceiling was...kind of thrilling." LOL I enjoyed it very much Mad Bess. EY is a fine specimen.

Thanks so much Connie! You're recap was much better than the episode.

I feel cheated too! Too much of Rod's blah, blah, blah. Nobody cares Rod. You're unhappy and ugly and have an evil soul. Everybody knows that. Now take a look in the mirror and try to figure out why.

There is no Hell hot enough for Arcadio. Was Regina close enough to the wedding party for them to hear her screams? Someone's going to have to come and help because I don't think Orca's gonna run off.

Three weddings and we did't get to see a single "Si, Accepto"? Was it a group wedding or individual ceremonies? Inquiring minds want to know... Televisa you cheated us. Big time. Don't do that to your viewers. Hint: we like to see bad guys come to bad ends (in this case really bad ends) and good guys and girls be happy and have lots of lovin'. Hot, nekkid, romantic lovin'. Not karaoke parties. Got it? :)

Only two left. Something big has got to happen tonight.

LOL when Juan had a flashback of his and Regina's first night of lovemaking, Uni once again hit the censor button. Come on Uni. Give us a bone at least. I loved both he and Regina thinking of one another and Regina remembering the romance on the high seas. Those are my fave scenes.

Pirate Babe: you're all welcome. I'm glad that you found the youtube links useful.

Back to the show: when Rod was torturing Juan he talked much. Tooooooo much. Juan was like "Oh my God, a day passed by and the geezer's still talking about his damned feelings. Who am I, his shrink or what? I can't stand anymore, I'd rather choose the whipping in silence."

Enquiring minds want to know where is Clemencia? I haven't seen in the past couple of episodes. You would think she would be at the weddings or better yet watching over Regina at the doctor's office. I want to see some pie carts hitting the baddies tonight and less karoake LOL. Thanks Aribeth on the explanation of why Orca felt is could violate Regina.

Aribeth, I think Juan's eyes did glaze over as Rod kept talking about his poor wittle feelings. I think he would rather take the flogging then to keep listening to that.

No one knows that Jimangela was not a virgin.

But EVERYONE knows Lulu was one of the can-can't girls.

Everyone knows Lulu was a former whore so for her to show up in white would have been laughable.

I took my eyes off the screen briefly and there was a passage of time blurb on the screen, yet Rodrigo was still in the dungeon talking to Juan. Gotta love it. **Rolleyes**

I think Clemencia was with Regina Offscreen. But obviously not when she snuck out. Lol @ the impactada look of the Dr. when he went ot check on Regina and realized she snuck out. Looking forward to more beautiful women close to the end.

I noticed that Leonarda's wig is better now than at the beginning. She seemed to stopped being as superstitious as she was in the beginning also.

Thanks, Ibarramedia, it's interesting. I fortunately have á, é, ó, ü and ó on my keyboard since these letters exist in my language, but I'm always in trouble with ñ.

Here's the list of the special characters:
http://rmhh.co.uk/ascii.html
(Naturally they don't work perfectly on my Hungarian keyboard, when I type ALT 165 I get this: ą. I tried 200 combinations but I haven't found ñ yet. Murphy's law. :))

I guess those codes are for the US keyboards. :)

Glad you have the time to keep up with all this with the law practice and whatnot. I'm way too tied up. ;)

Connie your recap was just hilarious, wonderful! And thank you Jeri for yesterday's beautifully written one as well.

ITA this episode was disappointing. I thought Noel was pretty funny singing and dancing though, and I think he sang a few lines to and about Mariela, one of them to Don Alberto saying he wants what he has! I also thought Rod said to Juan that he was right it would traumatize Regi not to see Juan alive again, and that she should lose the baby, another bastardo. Ack!

Thank you Aribeth for the explanation of Arcadio trying to hurt Regi - I didn't get that and thought he was just completely out of control at this point. For sure I expect Superdoc to come to the rescue once again. Good point about Clem, where was she?

I found it disappointing, too, that we saw nothing of the weddings, at least they could have shown the "acceptos."

I hate that they seem to end TN's suddenly and without much resolution. This is my third one, after ENDA and Sortilegio. I thought the end of Sorti was especially bad. We go through so much frustration and suffering throughout these stories it a let-down to have the happy satisfying parts be the last hour, if that.

I, too, really appreciate everyone's recaps and comments, it has been a fun community. I hope CS can be redeemed somehow if it didn't do well at first.

Be careful what you wish for next time. Some may have sarcastically commented that CS ought to be banished at the 3 am slot. And look what happened... At least it was at midnight instead of 3 am.

At 3am you either sleep very late or wake up very early or just resort to recordings and youtube, megaupload video clips from the interwebs. lol.

How about Fifi, will we see her again? A can can't reunion? They can do it. ***Thumbs up*** :D

Ibarramedia

Ibarramedia, I'd like to see Fifi again too! I loved her husky voice, reminded me of Suzanne Pleshette.

One thing I have noticed about this TN is that the "baddies" don't seem to be coming to really bad ends. There haven't been any good creative death scenes... and I really, really want to see Arcadio eaten by rats. Can't someone smear him with bacon grease and lock him in the cellar?

Aribeth, LOL at Juan being Rod's shrink! Yeah, whipping is bad, but listening to Rod whining is far, far worse.

We have not seen much of Fifi since she was in MEPS. Poor Brigitte was the best looking of them all though I like them all.

We have to see Fulgencio,Arcadio and Rodrigo kill each other. Methinks Leonarda may be arrested by Capitan Breton and exiled. Still can't get over Aimeé's death. Wish she was still alive.

The death list here does not compare to FELS though.

Corazon Salvaje death list:

1)Constancia
2)Dr. Whathisname
3)Juan del Diablo Sr.
4)Mirta
5)Rosenda's father, forgot his name
6)Mabel
7) Mabel's husband, though both were killed in an accident and not murdered.
8)Remigio's father
9) Remigio's mother - both by natural causes, so it might not count.
10)Brigitte
11) Griselda
12) Federico
13) Eloisa
14) Aimeé
15) Servano
16) Maria Del Rosario

Feel free to add, make corrections, categorize into victims by whomever, etc.

Fulgencio stabbed a worker for no reason to show the others how mean he was.

Servando killed a couple of people running guns / workers for Fulgencio.

Okay ladies, Juan pulling himself up by his wrists was impressive. I don't know too many 20 and 30 yr. olds that can do that let alone a man approaching 50. EY is definitely in good shape. Now I differ with most of you in that I liked Noel singing and dancing. He showed the fun side of himself. Renato may have come to Regina's rescue but that doesn't excuse him for the ass he's been the last upteen episodes.

Bernadette, I watched on YouTube EY's role in CSI Miami. If you have not checked it out bloggers, you must. It is downright chilling. He talks about torture as being a form of intimacy while he is checking out Emily Proctor. It is cold, matter-of-fact statements that send shivers up and down your spine. Every time I think of that scene, I get kinda freaked out. It's definitely not the EY we're used to. He was emotionally cold and downright scary. I want to check him out in his Felix Dacosta role in Cold Case in 2005. Will also check out the Striptease movie. My, my, our EY is quite the talent!!!

I know some girls that can pull themselves up like that.

If Renato trully dies, then he would be a martyr... Will he live and pay for his misdeeds? Hmmm I guess we will see tonight...2 hours left, lots of loose ends to tie up. I really, really, really, don't want to see Fulgencio get away scott free. I know he has his fans here. Just saying....

Ibarramedia

BarBaraM, I watched that CSI Miami episode in YouTube last night and EY was chilling. I got the chills watching it. Loved his English in the eppy too. I'll need to check the others you mentioned Bernadette. I can see EY on the big screen. He is so good.

Barbara and Pirate Babe,

After I saw that CSI episode, I was very freaked out and frightened by that character. Still chills me thinking about how lethal it felt. He was great in it. Made it hard to see him as the "good guy" in CS for awhile for me.

Glad you found it interesting.

Bernadette

The only thing I can say about that CSI Miami episode is that EY is a really good actor. That was such an understated, chilling performance. After seeing episode, I can see him playing a bad guy very effectively, either in TNs or on the big screen. And, by the way, his English is very good. If you listen to Cristian De La Fuenta, he is very heavily accented. EY not as much so. Must come from living in LA for so long.

I can see EY playing a role like Javier Bardem did in No Country for Old Men where he played a ruthless hitman which in turn won him a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award. Javier's English was very accented too but it was his chilling performance that blew critics away. I can see EY playing a role of sorts like that. He is a very versatile actor. LOL I'm gushing like a fangirl.

I can see EY and Fernando Colunga playing non stereo typical roles in some American movies. I would like to see Aracely Arambula, Maite Perrone and Lucero speak English.

Ibarramedia

I agree Ibarramedia. That's why I hope the next role EY plays is different and not the same type characters. Mix is up a bit.

Ibarramedia, I love you almost as much as I love E Y. Thank you for all the links. I live in L A and if I ever run into E Y, I'll have to restrain myself from tackiling him. Occasionally, i see someone famous like High Jackman, Sting and the coolest was Steve McQueen and Ali Magraw when I was in college. Strange but they are all much shorter than you would expect them to be but I think E Y may be the exception.

Connie, you recaps are hilarious...I enjoyed both of them. Thanks to all the gifted recappers and an extra thanks to Jody for the C S momento. This novela is pooping out but it is still one of the best I have seen. Can't wait to see Leo, Rod, Arcadio and Fully meet their maker and wonder if Renato is saved from death for rescuing Regina.

GinCA

Oh, and Ibarramedia, I've wondered where you were lately since I haven't seen your usual comments.

GinCA

Gracias Connie, for this final recap! I commiserate with you on such a slow episode. Way to hang in there :)

I inadvertently posted this in yesterday's recap. Blogger messing me up.

If the finca is all closed up vacated, why are Rodrigo and Leonarda hanging around the place? I don't get it...

How long does a notario loike Noel secure his own divorce so that he can properly court Mariela and then get married to her? Divorce may be frowned upon in those days but that is the only way.....

Ibarramedia

GinCa, I have been extremely, extremely busy. Lots of things going on Redskins preseason, World Baketball Championships, Boxing,Supporting IFBB and NPC competitors, recent World Cup Soccer, Boxing, Getting ready for Pacquiao-Margarito , Moving stuff from one house to the other house so I can renovate my main house. Took 3 months to empty it. Badly needed repairs To make matters worse a mini tornado that never ever happened in MD ripped a couple of skylights from the house. Other than working, not much. Read every recap and some comments but just way way too tied up to comment. I'm putting a little time since it is almost over. Whew. I noticed a lot of people dropped off due to the midnight witching hour. Can't say I blame them.

I will be in and out of a few Soy tu duena episodes. Much as I love Lucero, the thing is just boring me....Gabriela Spanic and her sultry Venezuelan accent ain't to bad either.. That is the first 9 pm show I have not followed completely since FELS. I was surprised Mi Pecado ended earlier than CS. Wow. I missed a lot of shows. I guess they are rushing all ths shows in with all the shuffling going on. Soy tu duena is actually almost 2 months behind here instead of 4-6 months.... :)
Sorry talked too much.

Ibarramedia

Connie, thanks for the recap and thanks to all for the comments.

Mad Bess, Arcadio as cockroach in a Planet of the Apes costume had me ROFL.

I'm definitely a minority who enjoyed the wedding celebration and Noel's singing and dancing. I always like the folkloric stuff, sorry, I'm just doofy that way. True that between the wedding and flashbacks, there was very little forward action.
La Paloma

The dancers who actually knew what they were doing was good to watch. I kept chuckling at Noel being whispered the lines to the songs by the guitarist.

Ibarramedia

Here we go, it's showtime.

Ibarramedia

Okay, Ibarramedia, it seems your plate is full. Hopefully, things will go smoothly with your renovation and it seems your a great sports fan as well as novela fan. C S has progressed to be such a good novela after it was booted to midnight, so people won't know what they missed and will continue to have the wrong impression of the whole novela. So we are the fortunate ones to have forged on with this one.

GinCA

I discovered this blog talking about Corazon Salvaje 1993 in English subtitles.

http://silentwilight.livejournal.com/20016.html

Ibarramedia

Ibarramedia, the YouTube video is no longer available, but given that it was chopped up and had English subtitles, I'm sure someone just uploaded the official DVD, which would explain why Televisia went after it.

The official DVD, while it does have English subtitles, is incredibly chopped up--80 episodes cut to one DVD. They even put the scenes out of order on it!
