I was having problems with this one because of an issue with Photobucket, where I store my pictures. I also didn't want to make this so long I'd get a message that it was too long for a page.

BTW, does anyone know the way to guarantee that you can get two pictures in the same row? I get it as a hit-and-miss but it is a struggle.

I wonder how many boda interruptus there have been in telenovelas, too.
 

There have probably been quite a few of them, but it's not easy to find photos of them. AMF had one (as I mentioned in the text) but since I couldn't find any stills I would have to find the episode and do a screen grab. It was in a huge church with full pews and Pablo Montero was wearing a white or cream traje de charro.

I was wondering whether Aracely Arambula held some kind of a record for the number of bridal gowns for that series, but somebody could have beat it by now.
 

I just updated this to add the boda interrupta of Ramona (I'm sure it's a different dress) and a different one from CS 2009 (I can't remember which photos of Juan and Regina are of which). What a contrast over 18 years for Eduardo Yanez as the groom and what a come-down he must have felt with regard to leading ladies.

I'll never forget how exciting the elopement scene in Ramona was back in the day. I still miss Eduardo Palomo.

I got married in a courthouse, my parents didn't like my choice because of his religion, Methodist!  We showed them didn't we, still together 44 years later.....and I wouldn't change a thing about the wedding! But for some reason, I love the bodas in novelas, the dresses, the flowers and everything! I especially love the required audience pan, and we know all the back stories. 

I see your boyfriend Pablo Montero made the cut, he was a handsome bridegroom, wasn't he!  

Oh, the old novelas, we didn't realize that we were enjoying the golden era of production, the newer offerings just aren't as good! So glad you chose Corazon Salvaje 93 and Ramona, two of my all time favorites!  Edwardo Palomo was so handsome and such a wonderful actor, I miss him! 
 

Have any of you read the book "Ramona" on which the telenovela was based? I bought it for my Kindle, but haven't gotten around to reading. I never had the opportunity to watch the telenovela version, and am wondering if the book version is as good and the reputation of the telenovela?

With the multiple Spanish channels available now, I imagine many of the old novelas will be re-run. Is there a service that notifies us about up coming offerings? It is hard to keep up to date on all television programming.

If you get Latele Novela Network you can check its website for the start date of Kassandra, which stars Osvaldo Rios. It's being promoted right now on the air but they haven't yet announced the date.

Most of what they show now is Brazilian, but one of those is the original El Clon.

Ramona, one of my all time favorites that never seems to make it to the top of the various "best" lists. I forget about it myself as I think I watched it at some odd time, long after it had run on Univision. KdC and EP at their best.ate and E

I was so delighted to see the photos from Ramona, my first, and still sentimental favorite, TN.

One of patients learned that I was studying Spanish and recommended that I watch it. I became enthralled.

One week that summer some friends of ours (former neighbors) from California were visiting and because by then I was so hooked that I insisted that everyone watch each evening as I did a running translation (and this was before I discovered CCs). We'd drink Margaritas as we enjoyed the show.

Doris and Sandy, about the 2nd episode they watched, one of them said, "Hey, Ramona was a real person. We've toured the Ramona House and I've read a book about her."

I haven't read the book, but I sure as heck enjoyed that show.

We had to read Ramona in high school. It was very dated then and that was years ago. It bears absolutely no resemblance to the novela which i thought was horrible, excluding EP who was gorgeous and talented.

Sandy in Tn - LOL - a "mixed marriage" is what some denominations would call that. Gotta watch out for those Methodists.... they're so friendly, forgiving, and non-judgmental... yipes. =;-0

Carlos, I'm embarrassed to say that I had never realized that there was a real Ramona, but always knew that in a historical context, the fundamentals of the story were true! I'd buy it the book, but have never gotten over, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee

UA, it's been a few years since I put photos into recaps so I'm a little rusty. To put two photos in the same line, I THINK all you have to do is to select SMALL for both images, and mark one as left and one as right. There is some detail about whether or not to put a space and/or a line break between the two photos. I don't remember exactly; play around with it.

If you already do that, and still they end up one above the other, then the problem must be the image size. I know that in PAINT you can change the image attributes to change the size; just keep the proportions the same.

Do you mean that you want the two shots perfectly aligned instead of staggered by 1/4"? You can force that by playing with the HTML code a little. e-mail me for details, and describe EXACTLY what you want to accomplish. paulah88@hotmail.com .

All recappers, can we all start using the jump break feature? Eva, Telemundo, and the Wedding Album got crowded off the opening page and this wouldn't happen if we all put jump breaks in our articles after the first or second paragraph. Thanks.
 

UA, thanks fo giving us this very entertaining album. I'm still smiling at William Levy's wedding costume for Pasion. Pretty, pretty, pretty--satin sash, flowing locks, and wreath of blossoms. His smile looks just a little sheepish to me. I hope they rerun Pasion one day.

Karen, perhaps the best novela of all time can be found online. Corazon Salvaje (1993) is a masterpiece with the best actor chemistry I've ever seen.
 

Thanks UA! I have heard the raves about CS but haven't seen it yet. Has the DVD for it been severely edited like most Televisa productions?
 

Karen, when you look for CS, be aware of which one you're looking for. There is the 1993, 1999 with Eduardo Polomo (many people's favorite), and 2007 which many consider a travesty. (Correct me if I have the years wrong.)
 

The DVD of the 1993 one is the worst; it's less than 5 hours. Makes nice video wallpaper, but that's it.

I have never seen the 2009 version on DVD, but it's 12 hours long (the current max). Considering that it was 135 episodes, that's about 10% or less.

None of these are going to satisfy if you saw the original. Watch CS 93 at that link. The quality is adequate, but there will be no subtitles.
