Caray, Caray!

CarLouse and The Shrimp hang out in front of the fonda while Louse reminisces about how Carmen's cooking was so awesome.  If only he hadn't tried to use her as a drug mule and she hadn't gotten caught.  The promise of empanadas is just too tempting for Shrimp and he tries to go in and get some…but he's stopped by the sight of Carmen in there with Eleazar and blames CarLouse for getting them caught in the first place.  I have no idea what happened, but either Shrimp shoots his gun off by accident or Louse shoves him off their shared motorcycle on purpose.  Shrimp ends up in the street and gets picked up by Eleazar and Morales.  Looks like the gun did go off, as Louse ends up around the corner with a shot in his side.

Drunk!Irene goes over to Alonso's.  And I'm glad it's Alonso's and not another hotel room with some creep.  She decides now is the time to come on to him.  Yeah, that's not awkward at all.

Carmen and Co. are worried about what it means that Louse and Shrimp were in the 'hood, but Eleazar says they should be safe and he won't rest until Carmen is cleared.

Alonso has to break off the smoochies (and those were some damn good smoochies) to toss Irene over his shoulder.  I don't think he's taking her to the bedroom.  Although, even if it's a cold shower, the two of them could probably heat it up.  The cold water has the desired effect…or maybe it's Alonso's arms, who knows.  He gets Irene dried off, but refuses to get her another drink.  She tries to get him to be her [un]dresser, but he stays firm.  Heh.  Firm.  Sorry, my mind's in the gutter.  I blame Alonso's caveman carry.

Lala tries to invite Karina and Vicente to join Diego and Diana at their loveless lunch.  Vicente refuses.  And seriously, Karina…have you learned nothing?!

Whiny!Diana tries to get Diego to take her on a vacation.  "Um, no.  You're going to therapy is where you're going!"  She blames it all on him and he, rightly, said there is no justification for what she did.  Diana pleads for them to fix their marriage.  "Shrink first, then we'll talk."  Diana has no intentions of going to therapy.  As if!

Shrimp tries to make a deal in exchange for Louse's whereabouts.  Eleazar says clearly Louse doesn't give a crap about him, so why not give him up?  Shrimp starts naming residences.

Louse, meanwhile, checks himself into a hotel as Unintelligible Gutierrez.  Up in his room, he starts cleaning himself up.

Diego calls Natalia to tell her he won't be coming back to the office in the afternoon.   He's busy wandering around the mercado, looking for a replacement for the shell he broke.

Andres comes over to Garcia Central Station and gets a warm welcome from Carmen.  Natalia comes home from work and Carmen tells her what happened at the fonda.

Alonso is watching Irene sleep.  Eleazar comes over, looking for a game of dominos.  That's not a euphemism.  Alonso invites him in to divest the apartment of all the booze.  He's a good man, that Alonso.  Doesn't do badly in a wet t-shirt contest either.

As Carmen and Natalia are filling Andres in on all the legal goings-on. a delivery guy brings over a box for Natalia with a note that says "Thanks."  Andres does Natalia a solid and, off her look, says he's the one who sent it.  Natalia invites him out for a walk while Carmen makes dinner.

Outside, Natalia thanks Andres.  He gets upset, thinking she must be seeing some guy her mom doesn't approve of.

Eleazar is baffled that Alonso is even throwing in his aftershave, but Alonso thinks it's a necessary precaution.  He asks Eleazar not to be concerned if he hears screaming.  And almost immediately, it begins.  Irene yells "I WANT A DRINK!"  Eleazar's box o'booze is all loaded up and he hightails it out of there.  Back in the bedroom, Alonso invites Irene to look for alcohol if she wants to, but he's not serving.

Diana's snotty to Mrs. Country Caretaker.  She sets up a sex date with The Sexter for tomorrow.

Diego calls Natalia to ask if she got his gift.  They argue about whose shell was prettier.  Lala catches Diego before he goes into the house to tell him that Irene got into an argument with Vicente and she hasn't come back to the house.

Diego asks Vicente what they argued about, but all he'll say is "the usual."  He warns Diego to get used to it happening frequently.  "If she doesn't care what she does with her life, why should I care about her?"  You're all heart, Grumps.  Not that you bother taking care of yours.

Upstairs, Miss Ray-of-Sunshine Diana rolls her eyes as she accuses Irene of being on a bender.  She mocks her for getting upset about the servants.  Diego grabs his jammies and heads for the guest room.  Alonso calls to tell him that Irene is at his place and he doesn't think she should leave yet.

Irene realizes she's in some dude's bed and not wearing her clothes.  She wonders what she did and starts getting herself dressed so she can go look for booze.

Tiburcio goes into Vicente's office  to tell him that he noticed the effect it had on Irene to see him there.  Vicente brushes it off saying it's Irene's fault if her daughter died.  Tiburcio tells Vicente that he lied to him and Irene's daughter didn't die.  And THAT'S how you convey important news!  Just get it out!

Irene heads into the apartment proper, but unless one of the guys did a bad job of unpacking, there isn't any alcohol to be found.  Alonso emerges from the bathroom and tells Irene that she's locked in until she sobers up.  Irene tries screaming for help.  And then she starts trashing his apartment.  I hope Eleazar is his only neighbor on this floor!

Vicente is shocked.  The real story is…Tiburcio went out in the rain that night and found Irene and the baby.  The baby was freezing and wouldn’t stop crying.  Tiburcio didn't think she'd make it, so he took her to the church and left her in the manger, it being Christmas Eve.  He found out later that someone found a baby, but he didn't want to say anything.  He thought it would be better for Irene to think the baby was dead, than that he gave the baby away the way Vicente wanted him to.  And this brings on the heart attack that's been coming for a while now.

Irene is calmer, but Alonso still won't let her out.  She thinks they slept together since she woke up in his bed, in his jammies.

Vicente has collapsed and Diego can't rouse him.  Tiburcio doesn't give a lot of details besides "We were talking."  Diego goes so far as to whack Grumps in the chest, which at least gets him to open his eyes.

Irene remembers kissing Alonso when she got there.  "Yeah, you did."  "Did you like it?"  "Do you want to eat something?"  "Answer the question."  She tries coming on to him, but he says it's not gonna happen and she can't bribe him with sex.

The ambulance shows up and Vicente is wheeled out.  Mrs. Country Caretaker notices how nervous her husband is.  Lala tries to contact Irene, but it goes directly to voicemail.  Mrs. CC pumps her husband for information and doesn't really think he cares about Vicente.  "Well, you'd better pray he recovers or we won't have jobs!" Mrs. CC looks a little concerned now.

For now, Vicente is ok, but they still need to evaluate the damage.  The doctor proposes an angioplasty and Diego tells the doctor to do what he needs to do.

Irene continues detoxing.  She starts saying she just wants to die, and screaming at him about how she wants a drink, she doesn't want to be the "old" Irene.  Alonso finally relents and unlocks the door, telling her he's not going to fight this battle alone.  Irene changes her tune, asking him not to let her leave.  Alonso gives her a *cough* friendly *cough* hug and promises he'll always be there for her.

Tomorrow: Eleazar gets shot!  By Louse!  Diana makes a scene at the hospital.
