La Gata #14- Thu 9/18 - La Mentira

Lorenza doesn't believe that Gata and Pablo got married.  She tears up the marriage certificate and says she doesn't believe a word.  Her precious son would never stoop so low, and no way is she having his baby.  She tells Gata to forget about Pablo, because he's going to marry Monica.  After more griping she dismisses Gata and storms back inside to scream at the nosy maid to never open the door to Gata ever again.  She wants her out of their lives…"Fueraaaaaaaaaa!" (out!).

Jarocha finds Gata on a hill of trash.  Gata tells her it's over, but at least she has her baby.  Fela joins them as Gata's saying she won't leave her baby with someone like Rita.  Gata tells Fela she'll probably go crazy like her soon.  Won't that be fun.  Fela thinks their two babies will be like siblings.  Jarocha drags Gata off, telling her to chill.

Gata cries in Jarocha's shack about how badly they treated her and how she'll never forgive them.  She says the baby is her only joy, a baby that's entirely hers, and someone who will call her "mom" and always be with her.  It's all she'll ever had in her life and no one will be able to take this baby away from her.  Um…talk to Fela about that sometime.

Damian visits Silencioso to ask him what he thinks about Damian acting as his own lawyer.  Silencioso thinks it's risky.  He's willing to pay for a lawyer for Damian.  He believes in his innocence, and he has money.  He figures one day Damian will be able to do him a favor.  Silencioso thinks he might need friends to help him carry out his revenge.  He starts to tell Damian his story.

Gata carries Principe around (drink!) as she sets the table for Fela.  Gata gets all teary because Fela actually cares whether she eats or not, and she's never really had someone to care about her like that, like a mom.  She tells Fela she's got such a knot in her throat (nuda en la garganta) she couldn't swallow a bite.  Gata's been visiting the hillside, but Pablo never shows up.

Mercedes goes to the Negrete mansion and the door is actually answered by Agustin.  She tells him she's Damian's mother and he tells her she did a crappy job of raising him.  She begs him to forgive Damian for defending Esmeralda as if she were his sister.  "You know he didn't try to kill you.  Why are you hurting him?"  Well, because he thinks he needs to teach that snotty upstart not to challenge his betters.  Kick.  Shins.

Damian tells Silencioso how much he hates his mother coming there to see him, having to get searched, having to see him in a uniform.  Silencioso advises him to hang on to his family.  It's the only thing that can keep him going in there.

Mercedes keeps pleading with Augie, telling him about how Damian was going to school.  Augie complains about how Damian was telling all sorts of lies about his son and how he deserves to be in prison.  Mercedes tells him that Gata really is pregnant…and also, she's married to Pablo.  I didn't know Augie's eyes could get so big!  I think for the next few days at least  "Esmeralda and Pablo are married" deserves a drink.  He actually raises his hand to strike her for telling such a lie.  Mercedes FINALLY realizes that she's never going to get anywhere.  She now agrees with her son that Augie deserved a beating.  She's sure he'll pay dearly for what he's done.

Gata carries Principe (drink!) back to Rita's.  She's going to go out looking for work again.  Rita suggests that maybe Gata should…vague hand gesture suggesting "get rid of it."  Them's fighting words, Rita!  Gata is determined to defend this baby to the death and she won't hear a word against him or her from Rita.  Rita laughs at the idea that one day Gata will introduce the baby to Pablo.  She tells her that if she's going to cry over someone, she ought to be crying over Damian, who's in jail for defending her.

Esme goes to visit Damian in jail.  He's not thrilled, saying it's a bad place for a girl.  She tells him that she misjudged Pablo, but Damian says she was in love.  It happens.  Silencioso sees them from afar and feels…la llamada de la sangre? (The call of the blood…that mysterious something that always seems to happen when family members who didn't know they were family members meet for the first time.  Drink!)  Damian tells her he'll get out soon.  He met a guy who's going to help him.  Silencioso keeps thinking that the girl looks familiar…she looks just like his sister Helena, and also like his wife…but he thinks his mind is playing tricks on him.

Pablo is FINALLY ready to go on his trip.  Grace, his brunette classmate, tries to get him to come party with them.  He tells her he's married and he has to go see his wife.  Oops.  Sorry, Grace.  Drink!

Gata thought bubbles to herself about how work will get easier and she'll be able to support her child.  She gets a job at a furniture factory.  Her new boss tells her she can work there until her pregnancy is farther along.  She'll be wrapping the furniture (muebles) as soon as she's done with her training (capacitación).

Lorenza tells Augie "that girl" was there again to tell her about the baby, but she put her in her place and let her know they'd never accept that baby.  She's all proud of herself for not believing Gata's lie that she's married to Pablo.  Augie gets nervous…that's what Damian's mother said, too.  What if it's true?  Lorenza scoffs…and then tells him about that falsified certificate that she gleefully tore up instead of letting her LAWYER husband check it out.  Augie gripes at her for letting her anger get the better of her.  Now she gets worried…what if it's true?  Augie starts talking annulment.  Just as soon as he looks through every civil registry and finds out where they got married.  "And what if Pablo comes back?!"  Augie says they'll just have to be ready to welcome him and get rid of that girl "once and for all."

Jarocha has made some stew for Gata.  As she encourages her to eat, Rita mocks Gata for thinking her job will get her out of poverty.  Hey, Rita, at least she has a job.  Rita says Gata could have been eating steak all this time if only she'd listened to Rita.  Because the cards are never wrong (drink!), Rita says Pablo will come back soon to find her and he'll be begging forgiveness.  But Gata never wants to see him again.

Vero gives her customary "Oui, madame" (drink!) to Lorenza about putting water in the vases.  Pablo arrives and she's so shocked she doesn't hug him right away.  When she does, she's wearing her worried face.  Or maybe that's her "I'm SO busted face"?  Pablo did tell them he was coming back, but she thought he'd forgotten.  She wants to call Monica and invite her to dinner.  Pablo says it's not that kind of trip.  He's not going to let anything get in the way of seeing Gata and finding out QTH is going on.

Lorenza makes a panicked call to Augie that Pablo's going to go find that girl and bring their plans down.  Augie brags that he's taken precautions and Pablo will NEVER find that girl.

Pablo shows up at La Barranca and Garabato whistles for some proper criminals to start dismantling Pablo's car.  Not like those Encyclopediajackers.  Pablo briefly meets his suegra (mother-in-law), but he's in too much of a rush to get to Rita's to stick around for long.  He practically beats the door down --though, with Rita's door, that's not saying much.  Rita calls him "catrincito" (little gentleman, little dandy).

Gata is at work, in coveralls, getting ready to catch the bus to Querértaro with her coworkers for training.  She's excited.

Rita tells Pablo that Gata doesn't live there anymore.  He doesn't buy that she'd let such a meal ticket get away from her.  She claims that Gata is off with some other guy who loves her and is supporting her.  Gata just got tired of waiting for him.  She's in Tijuana.  She asks how to prove it to him…by showing him a picture of Gata with her new man, El Pocho (fake Mexican, Americanized Mexican), pregnant and happy?  Naw…if she's pregnant it must be his.  Rita says Gata is only 3 weeks pregnant.  She keeps spinning her lies, saying that if Pablo ever loved Gata, he should leave her alone and not go making trouble for her with her new man.  Pablo storms out of the shack, but never says he'll leave her alone.  And like so many of us have commented after yesterday's revelation…all this talk of  "just walk away" makes no sense in the context of a legal marriage.  It ain't that easy!

Out at his gutted car, Pablo calls the insurance company and asks for a taxi and a tow truck (grúa).  Meanwhile, one of Garabato's buds tells Pablo that he has a message from Gata's "husband" (you're looking at him you tool!) that just because he's in TJ doesn't mean he's not keeping an eye on Pablo.  This time was just a warning.  Forget about Gata.  Pablo punches the guy as a return message, "I'm not afraid of him!"  Pablo ends up being held by two other tools as the original tool beats him.

Gata continues her factory tour.

Pablo goes to Augie's office to tell him what happened and that Rita must be lying.  Augie pretends to be sympathetic and says Gata didn't cheat on him, she did what she had to do to survive.  He claims to have done a background check on her that he hates to have to share, but since Pablo is so stubborn….well, Pablo doesn't believe words.  He needs proof.  Augie shows him an ultrasound that "proves" Gata is expecting a baby that's not his.  He says he agrees with the old lady…forget about her and let her be happy.

Gata moves small furniture and cushions.

Ines and Garabato make out in Garabato's new stolen car.  Ines is fine with what he did to Pablo's car on Rita's orders, but stealing…like, actual stealing?!  Garabato shuts her up with kisses and claims she'll get to know "real" love tonight.  Ines wants something better than this for her first time.  Garabato kisses her into submission again.

Gata is taking night classes with several other adults.  She turns in some homework and apologizes for it being written by hand, but she's still not comfortable with computers and she doesn't have money for the Internet Shack.  The teacher praises her hard work, telling the class that despite being pregnant and working all day Gata is nearly done with 6th grade.

Ines and Garabato have done the deed.  Ines, high on hormones, revels in the afterglow and Garabato telling her she was something special.  She lays down the law right quick, though, saying that now that they've gone all the way, he'd best prepare to go all the way down the aisle with her.  She's not going to end up like Gata!  Because marrying Garabato would be the better option?  What are they teaching you in that school it took the labor of 2 other children to send you to?

Damian is getting out or has gotten out.  Silencioso, still, not so much.  He plans to look up Damian when he gets out.  He needs a friend.  Hell, Damian thinks of him as a brother.  Silencioso will hire Damian as an assistant and will pay him, too.  Damian is up for whatever, but he keeps trying to refuse payment.  As one last favor, Silencioso asks Damian to meet him outside the prison when he's released, so he doesn't have to go into an unfamiliar city alone.  Damian picks up his bag of belongings and gets escorted out by a couple of guards.  Damian and his mother walk away from the prison with their arms around each other.  They take a victory lap through La Barranca.  Gata, holding Principe (drink!) greets them and she is HUGE!

Pablo is back in the city and tired of thinking about Esmeralda's "betrayal."  He decides to enroll in a Masters program in painting to forget his troubles.  I consider this only marginally better than sleeping with his all-too-willing classmates in order to forget his troubles.  Although, the idea of getting a Masters degree just to forget about your ex is…I mean…rich people sure do live in a different world.

Very pregnant Gata picks up her clipboard for the day from her boss and tells him she's saving every penny of her wages for when the baby is born.

Lorenza continues to complain about the marriage being a fake.  Mariano, who is adamant that the marriage really happened,  apparently got put on the task of finding out where the marriage was registered, but there are a LOT of offices and a LOT of people who decided to "unirse al yugo" (yoke themselves together) on the same day they're guessing Pablo's marriage took place.   He's "agotado" (exhausted) and he's seeing marriage certificates everywhere he looks, waking or sleeping.  And today, he checked the last office…and found nothing.  Lorenza gloats that this means Pablo didn't get married.  She was right about the marriage certificate being fake and planned by those terrible, evil, no-good poor people!

Pablo draws Esmeralda.

Esmeralda counts up some boxes in a truck.  The music of danger plays as she climbs up one door with her loose, toeless boots, to try to shove some boxes in better so she can shut the other door.  She falls off the door.

Tomorrow: doctors operate.  Jarocha punches.

Aw, Esmeralda, honey, you couldn't have dipped into the baby fund for some shoes with traction? Or gotten a ladder? Or asked someone for help?

Noooo....I was standing up yelling as she tried to get a toe-hold with those flabby boots. Sigh.
Well Thanks 5ft; this was a great recap and VERY much appreciated as I missed a big chunk out of the middle, the part where Pablo comes home. I did get a few drink!s in at the beginning and the end however.
J in Oregon

Thanks so much, Kat!!! My recording cut off right as she was about to close the door. I guess I'm kind of glad I didn't see it, but I sort of saw it coming. Of course the baby will be premature which will just make it look like Augie and Lorenza were telling the truth

I loved this line: "What are they teaching you in that school it took the labor of 2 other children to send you to?"

AMEN!! I'm assuming Ines losing her virginity is important or we wouldn't have gotten the scene. I hate her as much as I hate Rita, Augie and Lorenza. What an ungrateful little wench.

gringo-may I help you make anvils, too???

PS my comments about a premature birth are entirely speculation and may be premature. *snort*

Oui, madame awesome job. Thanks too for the slang & idiom tour.

Couldn't help myself and laughed when Pablo got beat up.

Pablo has made dozens of sincere promises he is incapable of keeping. Sure he is a sensitive boy with dreamy creative leanings but if the first bit of clay he fiddled with an indication, bless his heart, it's a mess. Unfortunately, the muse was his first project and she is with child and starving, the wanna be artist is not. Create something real from your gut and heart Pablo, instead of a diversion. Your muse Esmeralda, doesn't have the luxury of kicking the can down the road.

Ines - don't hold your breath

Pablo - "like a good neighbor state farm is there"

Mariano - errand boy

Rita - how do I stay relevant

Damian - I'll join your posse

Silencioso - tell me one thing I beg of you, did Rachel & Ross ever hook up

Esmeralda - boss, can I have some plastic wrap, got some home repairs

Grace - you not wearing a ring

Hi, 5ft,

Well, since I have been commenting about your work, I have finally learned to find the 5 on a keyboard without looking at it.

Looks like you were up late with this one. Thank you so much for you dedication and eye for detail. Like Sara, I loved your line about Ines' school.

Well, Esme sure seems very pregnant, whether she got the confirmatory tests or not.

I think Pablo should have gone into commando mode and try to get independent information instead of relying on the same stale cast of characters. And now he's back in New York, and all he can do is draw Esme. Maybe he'll paint her and win an award for his efforts.

Ah, the call of the blood. How will this play out?

David

Thanks so much, Kat, for another excellent recap do a frustrating episode.

I guess we all knew that pregnant a Kitty was going to fall when we saw her blithely climbing up to fix that box and the camera focused on her tieless (que?) shoe ..yikes.

tofie..I especially enjoyed Rata's plea ...how can I stay relevant ? Good question.

My question is ....how is it possible that Ughie and Lorenza actually make that loooong walk down those stairs from their ivory tower to meet and greet the unwashed masses that seem to constantly be at that back door?

Pablow is pretty ...but not the sharpest pencil in the case. I have had enough of his pining and furrowed brow, Just do something helpful, man.

Tieless???...make that toeless....I am typing while holding a four year old watching "Tangled." Sorry.

Gracias, J...I'm glad you got a few drinks in 'cause this ep certainly needed it!

Gracias, Sara...I'm guessing Ines is going to be having a baby as well. Actually, with Gata's being premature (if it is) that lends weight to it being Pablo's baby and not "El Pocho's"...maybe if Ines has one that's a little younger, it can be passed on as Gata's in case Pablo comes around again...ever.... But I agree, there's got to be something going on for them to make damn sure we knew that Ines lost her virginity. Frankly, I was assuming it had already happened and just wasn't important enough to bother televising.

Gracias, tofie..."How much did I save on car insurance this year?...Is it enough to buy a bus ticket to Tijuana?"

Gracias, David...yeah, Pablo is being bizarrely trusting. For all his "I won't believe words" stuff, how is an ultrasound somehow more proof?

Gracias, Susanlynn...that furniture place must not have any safety standards. I can't believe she didn't get written up and told to get shoes that cover her toes, at least.

What exactly are Pablo's redeeming qualities? He's cute, he apparently writes good love poetry.... That's all I've got. And I'm going to hold a grudge against him for a while that he came home and even though he was sooooo focused on his mission that he only made minimal effort to gather information, he didn't find the time to talk to his brother or find out that his sister was exiled to Italy.

Is this the definition of a galan? A pretty, well intentioned boob, when frustrated rages then cries then enrolls in a Masters in Art program. Why would Kitty want a guy like that? Yes, Pablo taught her to read, called her by her name, was her playmate in the fairytale ravine and gave her hope. Wonderful start but perhaps not the right guy to call in a pinch and pin your future on. Thankfully, Esmeralda got gumption, and ain't giving up. Poor girl still getting undercut by Rita, kidnapped, threatened, called every name in the book and the little thing keeps on, passing 6 grade, working full time while pregnant and saving her pennies. She has a plan and working the plan and for her everything is new and a world she didn't know and she finds wonder in it. Her big eyed expressions and comments about even a small trip for employee training, priceless. Get up, little kitty, get up.

Sadly, tofie, that's the definition of a galan lately. Cute, with top billing, nothing else going for him but he ends up "getting the girl" anyway. And when/if the guy ever ends up realizing his mistakes it's in the last week. And he only says "I messed up, I'm sorry" but we don't get to see him actually backing that up with his actions. I know these two are going to get together again, I know their "love story" is the point of the show...and I have a terrible suspicion that he's going to say something like "I'll never doubt you again" and it's going to happen five more times.

Is it bothering anybody else that Pablo never brought up the marriage with his parents? He never said to his father "This is impossible! We're married!" He never said to Rita, "She couldn't have married someone else--she's married to me!" And Mariano never found a record of the marriage, even though he's convinced it happened. Did Pablo deceive Esme to get nookie? Please let that not be the case! Did Pablo's friend think that Pablo wasn't serious, so he didn't file the paperwork on purpose? Did it just get lost by accident? Is there some sort of hideous backlog in his office? Is he WAY farther away from the city than Mariano thought to look?

Further ponderings about the marriage...

Does Mexico really not have any sort of centralized and/or computerized records? Something where Augie could just call up a friend and ask him to search under Pablo's name and see what comes up? Don't they need something like that, for tax purposes, if nothing else?

In TN law, at least, if Pablo and Esme are legally married, the father's name on the birth certificate is automatically his. How does that happen without some kind of centralized system of records? Why did Pablo not laugh in Rita's face and say that it might not be his baby biologically, but it's his baby legally? Why is his father not working harder to get the marriage annulled, knowing that if it's legal and she gives birth while it's legal, he doesn't have a choice--that's his grandchild?

I don't think it an intentional faux wedding but believe it was Pablo's (child mind) way to prove to Esmeralda his commitment (and grab a quickie before floating off to NY). I wondered before how he thought she could follow him to NY and work without any documentation at all. Know he thought his daddy would do that for him and trusted daddy so you'd think he would have told him they got hitched before.

If the guy really wanted to help Esmeralda he would have taught her how to skype, sold some baseball cards or transformers or something so she could use the internet cafe (or get her a trac phone), buy her a few dresses, some sensible shoes, new underwear and open a little joint account at the bank so he could transfer a few dollars for foodstuff, personal hygiene and maybe a movie night or two.

"Child mind," that's a good way of putting it. At the very least, I don't think he's deliberately done anything hideous...it's all just carelessness coming from a lack of maturity and having lived a very sheltered and privileged life. Our Pablo Pan needs to grow up and stand on his own two feet already. Even his new degree...couldn't he start actually working... "Create something real from your gut and heart Pablo, instead of a diversion," as you said, tofie...instead of continuing to stall? Would that not be enough to keep his mind off of Esme? He's running away from his pain, but is he also running away from having to actually take all this schooling and DO something with it? Is he afraid of failure or afraid of growing up? His parents have provided some really crappy guidance in that area. Basically, Lorenza intended to keep micromanaging him all the way to marrying Monica and beyond. "Oh, Pablo doesn't need a job that earns a good income...he has our money." With Lorenza and Augie holding the purse strings so tight, how was he supposed to learn how to manage the money he'd inherit so he could continue to live off of it and not just spend it all away?

Yikes! I'm pushing my annoyance limit! I won't write him off completely just yet. If we get a big time jump, I expect to see some growth and maturity and not just an older version of the same old Pablo. Otherwise I may really blow my stack!

Unfortunately Octavio didn't grow much.

I like this story, but I'm finding Esme much more likeable.

A great morning read 5ft. Diva
Thanks much as always.

Agustin will teach Damian not to challenge his betters. Whaaaat?
Oh Agustin if you only knew the challenges that you will be facing
in the near future. It would be better for you if you moved to the other side of planet earth.

Oops, sorry Grace. Good one 5ft.
Grace you can cross Pablo off of your list.

She's wearing her worried face or maybe she's wearing her I'm so buster face.

Proper criminals--not like those encyclopedia jackers.

So Ines---You think that you can make him commit now that he's gotten what he wanted? Good luck girl. You're in la la land.

Tofie---Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there. That's so funny. He needed State Farm didn't he?

Sara---With all of the bad people
in this novela, David and I have been working overtime on anvil production. I think that we are going to need a second shift on the anvil assembly line.

So pretty boy sulks and paints, that will solve things.

Damian y Silencioso teaming up, I cant wait. Agustin won't have very long to wait to find out who "his betters" are.

So tonight Lorenza gets the big punch, I can't wait. Can her Bloomingdales makeup cover up black and blue marks?

Must see tv,
the gringo

Pablo Pan! perfect

Well, that doesn't bode well for Pablo!

I like Esme in general, and I admire her independence, but she occasionally takes it to a level of stubbornness that's self-defeating. If immaturity is Pablo's big flaw, that's hers.

Gracias, gringo! Like you, I am excited for Silencioso to get his revenge going and expose Augie for the slimy little weasel he is. No offense to actual weasels. I cheered last night during the previews and I plan to cheer even louder tonight. I hope it's more than one good punch. I could do with a little hair-pulling.

5ft and Tofie---Good back and forth comments.

5ft. you have a lot of why's? The answer is that both Octavio and Pablo only had one brain cell. Well ok, maybe Pablo has two but it isn't near enough. sheltered life was mentioned---yes, how is he supposed to be able to think properly when up to now mommy and daddy has done all his thinking and have made all his decisions for him.

Something tells me that we haven't seen the last of sweet Monica yet.

I am fearing that the Gata Pablo separation may be a long one. Will Pablo get to see his child grow up?

I hope that I don't make any of you ladies angry but I just have to say, was it Ines's first time?
Really, that's hard to believe.
the gringo

I feel sorry for Ines. She was holding out for something better and she gets...Garabato...in the front seat of a car.... I'm scratching my head at that one. Wasn't she just telling her grandma the other day that instead of finishing her education she wanted to find a rich guy to marry. Looking for love in all the wrong places, Ines!

Actually, I guess that should be, "Looking for money in all the wrong places.

Though my guess is that Garabato's not packing much in either sense.

I'm in "saucy wench" mode today.

You folks are way too intelligent, pragmatic, and logical.

Pablo Pan, indeed. Yes, whenever I am feeling a little bummed out, I immediately consider spending thousands of dollars for another master's degree....in art....because I am sure that will pave the way to a well paying job and independence .

Let's face it. Pabs was a sweet, good hearted youth, but he was never practical . As we discussed many times, if the person you love lives in a dump and is constantly hungry...bring a sandwich to your trysts. Simple...pragmatic...but not the way Pabs rolls.

Likewise, Kitty is plucky and spunky, but she is also foolhardy. Climbing up that truck with no one around while pregnant wearing crappy shoes...QTH ????

As for Ines, perhaps now that Gar has a car , she feels that he is upwardly mobile. ...or she has just given up the dream of bumping into a rich dude...in the dump.

I think that I will make some popcorn for tonight's episode in which it looks like Jarocha goes all Rocky Balboa on Lorantza's a**. Yay

Susanlynn---Popcorn and a front row seat sounds good to watch the Lorenza beat down.
the gringo

I hope Jarocha literally mops the entrance foyer floor with Lorenza and gets the corners too.

Hope Damien is ready for his first client and right now the only potential real galan.

Susanlynn, if you think I'm pragmatic and logical, then Pablo Pan never had a chance! Intelligent, I'll take. I'm smart, for sure...or is it a smartass? I can never remember the difference....

I'm so looking forward to the Fight in the Foyer, the Smackdown in the Salon, the Brawl in the Big House, the Melee on Marble, the Class Clash...bring it!

I hope I can do the smack down justice!!

I haven't been able to comment as much as I want for the last few weeks and that annoys me.

Anyhoo--I am also bothered that neither of out two love-birds have said "WE ARE MARRIED." But I don't think Pablo Pan just manipulated things for a little nookie. He's just not bright.

And I completely agree that Miss Kitty is spunky and stubborn, but definitely takes it to self-destructive levels.

gringo-I'd love to take a shift at the Anvil Factory.

5ft - Great recap. Thanks for the fun.

Tofie - Rita - how do I stay relevant lol

I'm trying to give Pablo a break cause even though he looks 30ish, he's only 20 and has had a very sheltered life. I was pleased that he actually returned to the barranca looking for Gata, instead of taking his parents' word and just moping. But poor thing has no investigative skills or stamina.

Looking forward to Jarocha tonight. 5ft, I vote for "the Brawl in the Big House."

Kat, you've given us some great snarky comments along with your recap. Did I enjoy it? So deeply frustrated it's hard to enjoy. I was ROFL at the "love scene" in the front seat of the truck.

Obviously no rules for footwear in the workplace in Mexico. You could see that disaster coming from Esme's first attempt to climb the back of the truck. Let's hope Jarocha's wearing some hard-toe footwear when she tries to kick Lorenza's a$$.

My hopes are resting on Silencio. Pablo's sweet but as useless as they come.

"My hopes are resting on Silencio.

THIS!! I am so ready for him to get out of jail and take care of Fela and Esme!!

I'm glad he and Damian are teamed up. I like the Damian character and would love to see him a little more.

...Matchup in the Mansion...less than an hour away.

By the way, my best friend works in an office attached to a warehouse. Even she has to put on closedtoe steel tipped shoes if she has to go into the warehouse for any reason. They are very strict about that. Perhaps in Mexico..not so much. Perhaps, you can have your little piggies that go to market and those that stay home just out there in your open toed footwear and nobody cares.

Sara, sadly, no he's not that bright.

Niecie, gracias. I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of Pablo. Good intentions, no follow-through.

La Paloma, I do what I can. My motto is, if you can't watch a show you love, snark the show you're with. OK, that's not really my motto, I just made it up, but it works. I did notice Jarocha wearing boots with her hot mama dress yesterday.
