Antes muerta que Lichita #67 Monday 12/28/15. "Conveniently Roberto Does not Have to Tell the Truth Again and Again . . ."
Don Augusto has just told Alicia to fire Brisas and he brings up the "one rotten apple" comparison. For him it is just part of the job to make heads roll when employees fall short and not overthink it. Alicia refuses to just fire Brisas without finding out exactly what happened since Brisas has always been such a good worker. Augusto reminds her about the two lost accounts. Sandra sticks up for her.
Roberto is still talking to Venus and getting overly dramatic about Mateo maybe being taken from the country even maybe, etc. Venus tells him to cut it: His son is being very well cared for: the orphanage would never put his son in a bad situation. Fear and pain are bad advisors. She tells him to find the best way to find out what happened to his son but to do it within legal means and not to tell more lies since that is what got him in the mess he finds himself now. Roberto says his situation is just not that easy. (Wah!) Venus tells him the same thing Gumaro has told him: the day he starts telling the truth things will begin to change for him.
In Alicia's office she is telling Braulio and Brisas how it is: they are not beginners and she expects more RESPONSIBILITY (as the professionals they are) shown by them. Brisas offers to quit since she was the one who messed up. Alicia says nobody is quitting. She will talk to the "Mis favoritos" snack people about a "redesign" they will be doing to try to get the account back.
Elías thinks he is shocking Sandra by telling her Icónika USA is already set up. Sorry, she says, no surprise there. She does not look happy when he leaves, though. Hmmmm . . .
Alicia talks the "Los favoritos" snack people into letting Icónika run their ad campaign again. They are reluctant at first seeing her as willing fodder for the gossip magazines. She tells them she is serious and professional; sings the "Mis favoritos" song and she has the account back (as long as she is personally in charge, they do not even need a new presentation!)
Luciana pays a visit to Alicia to tell her that while she was on her honeymoon Alicia was going to take the opportunity to curl up in the office like a snake in its basket. She really just wants to rub Alicia's nose in the fact that she and Roberto are MARRIED and all that entails . . . basically sex.
Elsa and Nacho are still having problems with The People's Café. He does not see any use in thinking up ways to solve the problem if none of them are going to work. Ximena has recovered and Is walking perfectly. Roberto stops by to visit. At first Elsa and Nacho are not happy to see him until he says his relationship with them has. Ithink to do with Alicia. He simply misses them and the warmth of a family that he gets from them. They all say he owes them an explanation of everything that has happened. He says he is looking for the right time and place to do it. (What is wrong with right now??????)he repeats about how much he misses their family. That breaks the ice. Elsa goes to get him coffee but Nacho's insistence on an "explanation" especially about how "his brother is not his brother" some day makes for an early and hurried exit for Roberto. We find out Nacho is still angry about this and angry about Elsa ordering him around.
Poor Luciana is still trying to seduce Roberto in bed but to no avail. Now the excuse is him being worried about his son.
Brisas and Braulio nonsense but they do end up planning to "share" the same bed. Kissy face time; they also organize their work space.
Extended PSA on autism as Fátima and grandson Claudio visit the Café.
At the mansion, Augusto is off to relax playing golf but gets interrupted by Roberto who says he needs to talk to him about something important that he needs his help with (his situation with his son). They are interrupted by Luciana who wants an adviser's job (like Elías) at Icónika. Finally they end up in his Augusto's home office starting talk as they set up a game of pool. They start with how they met etc., how Luciana has mentioned a child.. . Augusto thinks Luciana is pregnant. Roberto assures him she is not pregnant but . . . but he does not get to tell Augusto about his son because the API guys interrupt them. They all play pool. Augusto gets a call. He has to go get some documents at the API office. It has to do with their European registration. Roberto offers to go get the papers. As a demonstration of the confidence he has in Roberto, Augusto gives him the keys and will tell him where the documents are.
No money for the house yet in Argentina for Luciana's parents. Luciana let it drop that her husband has a son whose name she does not even know. Surprise! Yes, she is in love with Roberto. Gabriel does not quite believe it.
Alicia goes to see what the People's Café is doing since there is not one customer at her parents' café. They charge an exorbitant amount so they can discount them and people think they are getting a deal. They take photos of her and they are soon on the net. She is not happy with how they make her look. Alicia has an idea for her parents' café: build on its unique characteristics: familial, homey.
Chuchette is out at a museum with Gabriel. They are out as friends. He sort of guesses her relationship with Augusto.
She admits that to get ahead in her profession she had to turn to and rely on her "cuerpomatic": body matic (maybe adding the "matic" makes it seem less personal?) Gabriel tells her the most valuable thing she has is her dignity. She asks him to please not tell anyone about her relationship with Augusto. He will on one condition that she not just be anyone's girlfriend but that she renew her life by developing her intellect. He insists they are just friends. He loves and respects his wife.
Roberto is in the API office and calls Gumaro. He has the papers but thinks Augusto is hiding something so he decides to nose around. At the mansion, Augusto says good bye to the API guys and then calls Draco to ask him if he handed over the papers personally. Yes, he did. Augusto says that curiosity is going to kill the cat.
Roberto finds some papers In the API office that show the same quantity of money being deposited in two separate accounts at API. He thinks it smells of money laundering.
That's it!

Roberto has kinda come clean..with Luciana, now Augusto and her parents about Mateo.
I miss Alicia, the real one.
Upset me a bit that Ximena really likes Roberto and they let him hang round.
I should be upset that August is apparently setting up Roberto. But his "kinda come clean" [thanks, Tofie] needs to get cleaner soon. I'm done with him. At this point, he and Alicia are miles apart and should stay that way.
"Roberto says his situation is just not that easy. (Wah!)" made me smile. I just love reading your carefully constructed, thoughtful recaps.
I enjoy watching Roberto shrink away from and avoid Luci. She is far more patient than I would have thought! I imagine she is thinking her persistence will pay off and that one of these times, well he just won't be able to succumb.
Any time Nestor or Chuchette is on the screen, I change the channel. I have my principals - I can't abide either of these two callous individuals.
tofie, I miss "our" Alicia too! No hint or trace of that sweet smile or kindness. Let's hope she emerges. And quickly.

OK. I've gotten used to Alicia's new sexy look. But it was Saturday, and most everyone was dressed down. Why was Alicia wearing stilettos, a tight black cocktail dress, and a fitted jacket to just hang out with her family on the weekend and help out in their cafe? That's taking dedication to the "new" Alicia a little too far, no? She didn't get any stylish jeans with this new wardrobe?
Vivi---Good comment about Alicia not dressing down on a Saturday.
Will Roberto ever come clean? He has covered up more times than I can count.
I can't wait for Augusto's downfall. Mr big that carries a purse and steps on people
Don't know how but I'm sure that Alicia will turn the little coffee shop into a thriving business. Can't wait to see the future success.
Feel sorry for Luciana? I know that she's human although a flawed human and that she has feelings. But---until she has a major attitude change, well I just can't feel for her even a little. She is way to in love with herself and has been mean and nasty to others. No sympathy here at least not yet.
Roberto chump is being set up. Cameras in the office?
must see tv
