I watched Narcos. It was a great and wonderful show but I don't see the point of it being on Univision. For it's violence it's more suited on Telemundo alongside El Senor De Los Cielos &Senora Acero. If someone recaps it though it would be amazing as it only has 10 episodes. I won't be able due to school approaching soon. Plus there are most likely recaps for it eitherway. Although it would be the first time the blog would recap an Netflix exclusive.
Out of all this I helieve there might be most interest for El Color than anything else.
Ela Valden( Gianna from Muchacha Italiana) is always nice but I can't stand Daniel Arenas. I might just watch it for her. But unlike Osorio Pedro Damian does know how to make his shows fun and likable without turning the character into a ceaspool.
Just not into Narc shows, especially at the 10:00 hour for me. Pass thanks.
However, I might give Narcos a shot.
Michelle hasn't actually been on so many novelas almost back to back, just La Sombra del Pasado and Pasión y Poder. El Color de la Pasión is from early 2014. I thought Univision would end up giving it an afternoon slot but they might have been smart to keep it on the shelf since the current telenovelas from Televisa have been seriously dissapointing.

It will also be very odd to watch Horacio Pancheri grow up to be Rene Stickler. He is just finishing up in Un Camino as Rene's stepson--and they did NOT get along and that's putting it mildly.
Julie--I didn't watch Yago...still hope to on OnDemand, but I've been keeping my nose to the asphalt in Un Camino for many months hosting the Main Page. I remember when they showed La Verdad Oculta at midnight. Thank goodness I had a VHS recorder and faithfully recorded the episodes. It was such a good production. Why on earth did they think Rosa de Guadalupe would do better than Sueno at 7 pm? Or are they just using Rosa as a place holder until another telenovela is ready?
JudyB, foreign language is so poorly taught in this country I don't blame you!
Anita- Yes, lots of familiar faces in 'Color'. I'm sure it will be weird for you 'Camino' folks to go from seeing Horacio and Rene playing enemies, to playing the same person! Of course in Mexico, it was the reverse order.
Countx- Sounds like you're going to be watching Season 2 of Narcos when it starts in a few weeks. I like most of Netflix's original content, but like Julia, I have low tolerance for narco-novelas.
Julie, JudyB, and Urban- I think I'll give Color and Despertar a week each to see if they grab me. I think I have to at least watch the opening credits of Despertar each evening so that I can hear Carlos Vives summoning me to dance with the theme song. Or I might just download it on iTunes. :)
La Paloma- It's so good to see you back! I hope you are recovering well from your surgery.
Jarifa- You're welcome. Hope it was helpful.
I've been interested in watching ECDLP ever since YNCELH aired in the US. So we'll see if it's good.
I agree with you Vivi that the only thing that grabbed my attention from the previews of Despertar Contigo was the theme song. I'm not really a Daniel Arenas fan though so I think I'll pass on this one. He was okay in Teresa but that's the only telenovela I've seen him in. I used to watch the telenovelas in that time slot but I haven't been for a while now so that alone kinda prevents me from watching it.
I'm hoping 3VA will start picking up the pace a bit and get more exciting but I sm determined to wait patiently.

By luck Mujeres De Negro will only have 50 episodes so it would end quickly in 10 weeks. If only Yago had 2 hour episodes..
two.
I noticed that UNi is showing AV in the afternoons. I discovered this while surfing before watching my new guilty pleasure..reruns of Renegade...LOrenzo Lamas in all his long haired, kung fu-ing glory...at the beach, dudes...with a giant, Native American sidekick named Bobby SIxkiller. Vintage TV...oh, and motorcycles and HUmvees.
Volvi a Nacer lyrics:
Puedo no roncar por las mañana
Puedo trabajar de sol a sol
Puedo subirme hasta el Himalaya
O batirme con mi espada
Para no perder tu amor
Puedo ser, tu fiel, chófer, mujer
Todo lo que te imaginas puedo ser
Y es que por tu amor volvía a nacer
Tu fuiste la respiración
Y era tan grande la ilusión
Pero si te vas que voy a hacer
Planchar de nuevo el corazón
Se pone triste esta canción
Quiero casarme contigo
Quedarme a tu lado
Ser el bendecido con tu amor
Por eso yo quiero
Dejar mi pasado
Que vengas conmigo
Morirme en tus brazos dulce amor
Por eso yo quiero
Puedo boxear en las olimpiadas
Puedo mendigar por tu perdón
Puedo mudarme a la Castellana
Agua fría por las mañanas
Y alinear en el Unión...
*I'm definitely in it for "El Color de la Pasión". Anything with Erick Elías! I didn't realize he was a great singer. Remembering him all the way back to "Zorro, La Espada y La Rosa"
*I can't stand narcos (with the exception of the amazing "Reina del Sur", which was so good........) so I'll definitely skip "Narcos". I had enough drug drama living in Cali, Colombia
*Daniel Arenas has gotten on my nerves in each of his novelas after Teresa, but I'll give "Despertar Contigo" a 2-week trial
Vivi Carlos Vives......"Volví a Nacer" was nominated and won several distinguished awards....check out his Wiki page.
Anita Your mention of "La Verdad Oculta" (MY FIRST NOVELA!) brought back such fond memories. Who would have guessed novelas would become addictive for me?
Vivi Thanks again for the update
Carlos Vives has been one of my fave artists since the 90s. My iPod is already filled with a lot of his music. Every time I come across a song of his that I haven't heard before, it's a joy.
I think I'll repost this post this weekend, in case some folks missed it. Hopefully, some recappers come out of the woodwork.
Here's a suggestion--and something new for Caray--why don't we just concede the same day posting and write and post the recap a day late. In other words, those of us who will be watching the next day, might be more amenable to recapping regularly if we could post it late the next day. We'd always be a day late, but all the days would be covered.
In other words, the Monday episode showing at 10 pm, we'd watch the next day and post the recap on Tuesday night. Comments on Wednesday about the Tuesday episode. Wednesday night we post Tuesday's episode and so on.
Another option would be to do what Telemundo does with their telenovelas and post a Semi-Weekly Main Page and have it open for discussion and not always covered by regular recappers (although I see Silvana is pretty much getting covered, thanks to Novelera and Juanita).
So El Color De la Pasion is supposed to be a good one? I will give it a try too. I can't commit to recapping yet until i see how my schedule will be, but if I can, I can only do Friday's episodes. I will let you know if you still need someone for it.
My daughter got married in May and the first song she danced with her husband was "Quiero Casarme Con Tigo by Carlos Vives. It was a lot of fun, everyone sang along.

**Thanks for the summary of El Color. Yep, this is my kind of novela drek. I will be watching it. I will be happy to recap for it as well. I prefer Friday's, but as long as it remains within the 1 hr. limit, any AM for expanded highlights, at least, can be managed.
I am like JudyB-having to immerse myself in noveladom in order to keep up my "ear"-- despite living and working with Spanish speaking folk and a myriad of "accents" and dialects bombarding me daily. "Use it or lose it" is my motto. Erick E. is a good actor if he's given the opportunity. He may be a good match with MA. And I left PyP because of the crummy casting for young couples and the stupid acting of all but the big stars. Too unbelievable. Why Uni leaves some of these on the shelf for years is a mystery to me. I hope for the best.
El Color de la Pasión is one I would love to watch but 10 is too late for me. Looks like a wonderful cast.
The 2 TNs I'm watching don't leave me time to watch Ana but as they are ending shortly, hope I can devote some time to that in the future.
Every mention of La Verdad Occulta makes me smile. What a wonderful TN which I enjoyed with you and many other recappers and commenters.
Thanks again Vivi.
Diana
Diana- I too am trying to keep my tn watching to a minimum and right now I have two-- Yago and 3xAna. I think Color will be my Yago replacement, so I hope I don't like Despertando Contigo too much after the first week. Recently, I've found that it's easy for me to walk away from the lighter/earlier evening tns, although those patios look like a lot of fun (like the Camino patio). But I think the two tn limit is a wise one.
I am going to check out Despertar Contigo because I like the girl who was Doris on Yo No Creo and the theme song and when telenovelas are on the beach. We shall see if I stick with it. Two is my top limit for evening tns, and I tend to miss days if I'm watching two, because of real life. I usually have one I'm watching intently (Camino right now) and one I half-watch when I have a chance (Amor de Barrio right now), but since my shows are ending, I'm looking for the replacements.
