Weekend Discussion: Crimes of Fashion, Fifth Edition

When in the course of human events it becomes necessary to point out severe fashion felonies, you can always count on the staff of your established fashion -- and gossip -- magazines to point fingers and name names.

Believe me, we love doing this.

Fashion Editor, Cosmopolitan en Espanol.

This looks more like rebelling against fashion.

Necklaces like this are not a good pairing with shirt collars.

We see that the rich and shameless are at it again.  Ana Leticia obviously has a serious compulsion to demonstrate many elements of her physical charms.  We wonder why no one in her life points out that these things are not to be worn in the office (and some not in public):

This is hardly appropriate to wear to the funeral of your uncle's finacee.  However, we know your motive.

Really, Ernestina, you shouldn't let her leave the house like this.

Frankly, this half-skirt thing fails to amuse after the first felony.

Ana Leticia always shows too much real estate.

Is this lingerie?  We thought that went out with Madonna.

We hope Ernestina demanded to know where she was going.

We honestly wonder sometimes whether this young woman owns a whole dress.

Mariano needs to talk to his assistant about an office dress code.
This one is also too short in front, although we can't see.  More Sharon Stone action to come.
No wonder.  What is fashion coming to, anyway?

We know you wore that to the office that day.  There is a sexual harassment lawsuit in the making.

Ana Leticia will be in for a nasty surprise when she meets the sister she doesn't know is alive and well.  She won't like the competition:

Is this something suitable to wear in front of your true love's parent?

You know there will be more to come!  If you see any more, please let us know and follow us on Twitter:  #CeEFashionFelonies!

"We honestly wonder sometimes whether this young woman owns a whole dress."
BwaHahahahaaaa! Why do I keep thinking her breast implant surgeon cut a deal where she got a deep discount if she flaunts those things in deep necklines, in every scene?

Urban, Ana Leticia's eternally exposed midriff style will be a permanent memory of this novela. "Ana Leticia always shows too much real estate." was perfect because she "works" in real estate. Thanks for the fun weekend topic.

Urban, those were the best captions ever!!
Doris and Jarifa, your comments had me in stitches!

With that yellow dress, I was sure AnaLet's nipples were going to pop out!

Thanks Urban. I am in awe of how Angie keeps her nipples from popping out in some of those dressing while her character struts and poses and has angry fits. It's amazing.

I actually like the style of the young women in Yago that you posted above. Not only are they covered up (unlike other tns), I think the style is playful, fresh and young, and something you would see stylish young people in a big urban city wearing. Not the hooker wear all the other young women in other tns are always wearing.

I think that Ambar looked awfully sloppy in that get-up. Sandra's clothes have had no fashion faux pas that I can think of.

As to the potential for wardrobe malfunction, I think that yellow dress was specifically designed for that. The reason it doesn't happen is that AB's boobage is siliconed and therefore can't move naturally and doesn't usually need a brassiere.

Gracias Urban!

I also liked the fashion from El Hotel. Except for Isabel's infinite amount of white dresses, I liked Teresa's coats and Matilde's hairstyle. Juan Ferrara was also pure galan material with his Victorian like look. Almost everyone there was good looking.

Sara in Yago is also good looking. I also like Fidel's coats and grey hair. He looks like mini Tywin Lannister lol

Check this site out if you have time and read Spanish.. No censorship???... In Mexico

Monika Sanchez's black dress and Ernestina's black pants suit were the best dresses of the entire show to date. They reminded me of the TV series Dallas and Dynasty of the 1970s

After last night's epi, I was wondering when this thread was going to start back up. AnaLet has no shame and clearly, no fabric left to be strutting around in her get-ups! I sometimes wonder if Boyer feels so constricted in Llora's clothes that she feels the need to free her puppies as AnaLet. There is definitely a blur censor employee on anxiety meds & at the ready in case of a dress malfunction.

Thanks, Urban. Ana Leticia always shows too much real estate -- lol.

I look forward to Ana Leticia's fashion crimes. Although all her outfits are inappropriate for the occasion, she always looks smashing in them. Except that yellow canary number was way over the top (pun intended). I shudder that any preteen viewers take their style cues from her.

Well, you have to admit that ANgie does have a teeny, tiny, itty, bitty red hot body. Let's be honest. The two piece spandex ,ab revealing, boob revealing outfits seem to be a theme..just slightly different styles and colors and patterns. I cannot wait to see each and every creation. ANgie and her abs are rocking those outrageous tiny rags. What does to take for wardrobe to whip up one of these outfits???...about a yard? Doris, you are the sewing expert. What do you think? The fact that those puppies stay put and there is no n!pple slippage is a magical mystery that has us all gazing in suspended disbelief. Perhaps those man-made miracles came equipped with a snap or velcro!! #science

NIecie..."way over the top"...good one !!

Susanlynn
I vote for Velcro or double sided stick tape. She has had a boob job?? I'll have to go back to CS90 something to check her out.

If you want to see what a good dancer Angelique Boyer is, goggle youtube..her name and bailando for la boda mis Suenos.

Susanlynn - They probably use scraps to male those outfits. LOL Wardrobe Dept. must be on a tight budget. ~snerk~
Remember the crochet doiley vests she wore in Abismo de Los Viewers? Maybe Boyer gave up on crochet and learned to sew, taking to heart the "make it in 3 hrs" promise on patterns. --"-Ooh, three hours sewing time is up? Well then we'll just them it right now and I'm outta here!"

There is a product called Res-Q-Tape that is most likely used to hold those dresses "in place."

Very painless to remove from the skin and works fairly well.

Hi, DOris!!! How are you doing? Do you see SAndy? MIss "talking" to you both!

Ah, your finest hour Urban. And "Ana Leticia always shows too much real estate" should go in the Caption Hall of Fame.

I do admire the fitness level of this actress. We can credit a plastic surgeon for those bodacious boobs, but the abs and those equally bodacious legs are all Ms. Boyer's hard work and superb genes combined.

When she hoisted her leg up on the desk, (while wearing that incredibly wisp of a yellow dress) I'm sure Iñaki (and the actor playing him) did not know where to look first! 'Cause anywhere was dangerous!

Hi Susanlynn! Haven't seen Sandy in a few months when we had lunch together. I was just thinking of her yesterday, and that I need to email her.

JudyB - ITA with you about that "real estate" caption in the Hall of Fame! I loved it, Urban!

Judyb...That yellow number fit her like the peel on a banana. Abs of steel.

Urban, a spectacular collection of fashion faux pas, laughed out loud at "No wonder. What is fashion coming to, anyway?" - fantastic captions all around. Our Ana Leticia can really fill up a whole book with her numbers. I do also wonder if she even looks at a dress in a store if half of it isn't missing!

Ria...Hey, maybe if AnaLet sees something on the rack that appeals to her , she buys it and has the seamstress cut out the middle to make her signature separate look.

It is funny though to watch Boyer walking in those super high heels. You notice her ankles wobbling back and forth, and how she runs up those stairs is beyond me.

That yellow number fit her like the peel on a banana. Abs of steel.

Good one!

It's hard to wear that color in general. If her hair were blonde in this series she wouldn't be able to, but yellow looks good on redheads and women with dark hair.

Based on this set of photos I'm guessing she gained 2 or 3 cups sizes during CS 09, not after.

Thanks Urban. I see there is a wide valley between the left and right one.
I can't believe you pulled those images up. By the way, your captions were hilarious, best ever

Thanks, all. These photo galleries are fun to do. I should include Ana Llorona's overlong skirts, though. They are an inch or two too long for fashionable and she really could stand to show a little neckline to compensate.

OMG, Urban, this was hysterical.
I was watching the "fashion show" last night and wondering, am I really that out of touch, or are those dresses all really ugly? And AnaLet paid 100K pesos (of her uncle's money) for the ugliest one of all!! Although I suppose it will somehow look cute on her!

Susanlynn - LOL!! I just pictured Soledad making modifications for her with this horrified look on her face as she had yesterday when she saw her backstage!

@Urban, it looks like she still had her implants in those photos. I remember she was completely flat in Rebelde. This is one photo I found of her pre-op

That photo really predates CS 09, which was when her face started getting more interesting.

I agree, she looked pretty mousey before. Her looks have evolved to suit her persona with each character she's taken on

Don't forget about Renata Notni from "Amor De Bario".

This thread requires a mention of Fer from Camino Destino and her various horrible dresses/ponytail/Chucks combos.
