Amar a Muerte, 11/21/2018, Episode 16: I kissed a Girl...and I Liked It
Labels: Muerte
Lupe gives off J-Lo Maid in Manhattan vibes. The man who's interested in her (?) has a point regarding her devout attachment to Chino. She has no self-esteem. And is an accomplice to murder if she was always aware of his doings and living off that money. Oh but then there's the fact that she maintained the household when he was gone for months at a time? She needed to walk away with Juliana in a baby carrier a long long time ago. Has it been cleared whether Juliana is Chino's daughter? Judging from lupe's flashback, it seems like she most likely isn't. But anyway, how pathetic of her to chase after a man who really doesn't seem to care about them. This character along with Juliana are still a waste of screentime so far.
* finding Caray, Caray...it took me some time but I found it.
* being blessed with this "virtual family" (thanks, JudyB) who welcomed me with open arms and generous hearts.
* being provided the opportunity to share our thoughts, perceptions and ideas...whether they were OnT or not :-)
* the gradual return of one of our beloved virtual sisters, Susanlynn, who is healing from the loss of the love of her life
Will comment later on the episode.
Now back to the show--
Anon 11:37, You're probably right about Luciho, but I want to see LOTS of tears and suffering before that happens...and she really needs to do some really good things to show that she is worthy of a good man...and that includes not being Lu-so-easy. And tha man who is interested in Lupita is Pancho, a long-time friend from high school who seems to have been her boyfriend back then. He is married with children now . I don't know how he is able to get away from the grips of his very jealous wife since the first time Lupita went looking for him, she came outside right away with claws and fangs ready to attack...and Pancho retreated into his house like a whipped puppy dog.
Lilly, Welcome! I think you've been commenting for a while, but you had never written signed your name; thank you for doing that. It's always nice to distinguish those who participate. Sexual tension to the max...and it was even quite evident the first time they laid eyes on each other...when Leonchi arrived asking for a job.
I feel so sorry for Val. She is completely lost without her father, but it looks like Camilo's book is bringing her solace. I'm wondering if that is a real book; it sounds interesting. Guil seems to be a pretty good brother...the one good side of him. I do hope Val finds solace in believing that her father is close to her and that he is watching and protecting her (though he really is there and both Guil and Val feel that connection!). I know from experience that that kind of thinking does bring some solace. When my mother passed on, I felt that she was always with me wherever I would go an in whatever I would do...and I still "feel" her presence most of the time.
Chipmunk? Genius..............
Also would like to ask.. is this TN taking place in Mexico as well as in San Antonio.. I understood that Beltran is a professor at one of the university in S.A. But what I see..nothing looks like Texas...
Lastly, thanks to all who recap...great job! Elsa
The original Chino and his 'Wife and daughter' Lupita and Juli were in or near San Antonia and the Carvajal clan in Mexico.
I liked the red dress too; the white dress was mehhh, but that outfit Luciho was wearing at the end of this episode was gray and very conservative..not very flattering at all.
I also have seen the Facebook pages. There are some that upload the complete episodes within an hour (sometimes minutes) after the show ends. I usually have to do a search though because the uploads are usually not consistently by the same person.
Its going to be hard to watch MB, with his 10 on scrub. This guy was gorgeous in PDF.
Steve, thank you; hope you and your family had a wonderful day.
I feel bad for Val, but she will probably be the first one to find out who Jacobo really is. She could even become an ally in his revenge, considering that she and Lucia have an established bond.
What is wrong with Beltran, kidnapping a child? Yeah, he's a murderer, but isn't he changing? What does he hope to accomplish, anyway?
Leonchi is fooling himself if he thinks he can turn off his feelings for Lucia so fast. I don't believe him for one bit. I need to see him start doing nasty revengy stuff, and for Lucia to be in a lot of pain, like RGV says, before all is said and done.
Gotta run now, but a Happy belated Thanksgiving to all my American friends. The Holidays are just around the corner!! Hohoho!! (nothing to do with Lucia, but she does look great in red).
That being said, I intend to enjoy their incipient romance to the max since I believe it will end all too soon. She had an absolute nightmare of an adolescence so I'd be quite happy to see her enjoy wealth and a hot love affair for a while.
Now off to rake leaves. We have a huge pin oak that covers our lawn with leaves every few days. But good to get outside after a few days of cooking and cleaning.
Kirby--You certainly do have a way with words, fun to read and re-read. Thank you. I was hoping you had caught what Leonchi said right after LuciHo asked why he had kissed her and before he told her she could fire him that instant (I had to keep rewinding umpteen million times, but could never decipher it). I DID think it was a bit hypocritical of LuciHo to ask that question, since she not only invited him to kiss her, egged him on asking for answers to her questions about herself and moving ever closer to him. He didn't budge. She's the one who put her face and lips up to his. He was merely responding to her advances.
I did notice that when Johny called, he pulled her in close. She didn't move away and it was obvious she was rattled, but...hmmm, did he pull her in close to try to hear what Johny was saying? I wouldn't put it past him.
We know everything else that's going on inside Beltino's head, so why don't we know his reason for kidnapping little Sammy. Insurance? For what? What else can Valerio do for him anyway. If Beltino continues to slip up with Alicia, she's going to start connecting the random dots of his bizarre new behavior--he's not the same guy he was before the accident.
Unless both El Chino and Beltino die at the same time, we'll have another bodyless spirit floating around.
That Juli reunion with her putative papi is getting closer. Will she really recognize the newly minted, suave, calm, ladies man with an upper class haircut and suit? Of course, Leonchi won't recognize her at all.
JudyB--I empathize with you over your pin oak--although they are magnificent specimens when fully grown. My neighbor's willow oak is now nearly 80 years old and he gets nary a leaf in his yard. The wind ever blows my way and I get them in batches, too, and they are so hard to rake up. I'm not complaining--the shade it offers all spring, summer and fall are worth every downed leaf (and they make great mulch, too).
When you kiss a woman you shouldn't be kissing they ALWAYS tell you it never happened, to forget it.
And in the next breath ask when it is not going to happen again.
You Girls....................:-)
I'm not very good at doing searches, but would you be kind of thoughtful and post again, or PM me?
