Amar a Muerte, 2/6/2019, Episode 65: Fools Rush in Where Dead Men Fear to Tread

León/Chino walks slowly by the wall at the tennis courts with his gun drawn. When he comes to a corner, he hears one of the goons talking over a walkie-talkie, since the goon has his back to him, LCJ sneaks up to him and smacks him with his gun knocking the goon out cold.

Inside the house, Armenta goes to Vale and demands to know who called her. Vale cries as she replies that it was just a friend. When Armenta asks about her siblings, Vale tells him she doesn’t know where they are and Lucía adds that they don’t live there…so they won’t be coming. Chulo thinks the women are trying to pull one over on them and are making them waste a lot of time; the cops are sure to be arriving soon. Another goon approaches with all that he has found in the house, so Servando tells him to lay it on the table and tells Chulo to relax because the party is just starting. Servando shouts out for more tequila. Oh Armie, you saw that one too where they poured tequila on bullet holes?

At Silvina’s house. Lupita sees that Juls is upset and asks what is going on, but Juls just runs off and tells her she will be back soon.

Outside the Carvajal house, LCJ lurks as he finds Tiberio crouched and hiding. Tiberio pleads with LCJ not to kill him, so LCJ assures him that he came to help them. LCJ then asks what is going on inside and how many men there are. Tiberio replies that that he doesn’t know what’s going on, but there are 4-5 men inside and there are more outside. After LCJ takes his key to the service entrance, Tiberio tells him to be careful and hides again.

In San Antonio, Mariela wonders how much longer Fabián will continue with his obsession over El Chino…the man didn’t just kill his father, El Chino is also ruining his life. Fabián feels bad because he knows he could have done something in Mexico, but she pressured him until he came back. Mariela points out that the man escaped and there is nothing Fabián can do; he should think of his son. Fabián is definitely thinking of his son, what will his son think of him when he grows up and finds out that his father did nothing to catch his grandfather’s murderer. Mariela insists that is what happened and there is nothing he can do. Fabián, however, is determined to return to Mexico.

In Mexico, a line of patrol cars are headed to the Carvajal house. Montilla tries to make contact with the agents at the Carvajal house, but he gets no response. Just then Mateo calls to ask what is happening, so Montilla tells him they have lost contact with the agents at the house. Mateo is dismayed. Nothing like the element of surprise fellas. All you need now is a marching band.
At Alacrán’s den, Alacrán gives Eva a drink to calm her nerves. Eva asks him to send his men and have them do whatever is necessary. If Armenta kills Lucía, she doesn’t care, (Anvil upgrade #17 for you bitch) but Vale has to get out of there safe and sound. Alacrán tells her she isn’t making sense...she’s not thinking clearly, in a confrontation like that, he cannot guarantee anyone’s life, not even her sister’s. He then asks what the cops and her husband would think about El Cartel de la Sierra protecting her family…and from that to discovering the laundering business is only a few steps away. Eva won’t stay with her arms crossed, she has to do something, but Alacrán holds her back and tells her she has nothing to do over there.

Guille has been trying to call Vale, but she doesn’t answer so they must have taken her cell phone. Renata insists that there is nothing he can do…he should let the cops take care of it. Guille is adamant because he can’t just stay with his arms crossed knowing that Vale and Lucía are there, those men went for Lucía. Sure, Rambo, just bust on in there. There's an app for that. Renata wants to go with him. Guille sternly tells her “No!” he will not put her in danger…these are family problems that have nothing to do with her. Renata takes a deep breath and calmly tells him that she is going with him, that is not a point of discussion…if they are together, they are together in everything. Guille agrees to wait and make some calls to see what is happening. Renata comforts Guille and assures him all will be well. Do tell, Reni. This is not some family squabble at a softball game.

At Barb’s place, Barb is with a client trying to concentrate, but various spirits voices talk at once so she tells them to be quiet. She tells the client that there is a lot of interference from the other side and asks her to come back some other day. Once the lady leaves, Barb chides the spirits for being so inconsiderate. She is trying to give them a helping hand but they want the foot too. As she sits there, a man is sitting in the other room listening to her tell the spirits that they are very kind. She turns and asks the man who he is and what he is doing there. After she tells him to leave because she only takes appointments, the man turns slowly to look at her and smiles.

At the hospital, Alicia approaches Beltrino who is leaning over a vending machine and asks if everything is well. When she ask what the message was that made him run out so fast, Beltrino responds that he didn’t want to scare her since she has so many problems already (he refers to her using her pet name, Poison). Alicia agrees that she has problems, but one of them is him and not knowing what is happening to him. Beltrino shares that he got a call that someone was lurking around the house, but he already went and they were gone. Alicia wonders who let him know, so Beltrino lies (not very well) and tells her it was Octavio. After Alicia accepts his lie, she tells him he should get checked there at the hospital since she noticed he was cleaning off the blood in the bathroom. Betrino assures her it’s nothing serious…it’s just a consequence of the accident, but it’ll go away. Alicia leaves not being convinced and worries.

At the company, Susana is trying to write her article about (no)S-Bueno. She recalls Johny telling her that he wants all the copies of the photos she took and how she asked if he was going to kill her. She then continues to write the article as she grimaces.
At Johny’s place, Johny is making small talk with a well-endowed bimbo in a bikini. He pours drinks as he tells her everything will be well. He then adds that he doesn’t understand how women fall in love with whatever idiot who fills their heads with lies. After he tells her that women should always be respected, he asks her to go look for something in a box. As she leaves, Johny calls Lucía.
At the Carvajal house, Servando and Lucía are at the table. Servando gives Lucía another drink despite her protests and makes her drink it, he wants her to be playful when they are in bed…she has no idea how much fun they will have, and she has no idea how long he has been waiting for this moment. Just then, Lucía’s phone rings, so Servando answers putting it on speaker and states, “At this moment, Lucía cannot answer, she will be

busy all afternoon…making love.” Johny is shocked and asks who is talking. He calls back and demands that Lucía answer him as the bikini bimbo comes back.

Outside the Carvajal house, LCJ slowly approaches the service entrance as Tiberio is being escorted by the goons and one of the goons is giving orders. As LCJ quietly enters, the motorcade of cops arrives and the goons close the entrance gate. Inside the house, Servando is ordering Chulo to make sure no one interrupts him while he is upstairs with Lucía. Chulo yells that they have to leave, but Servando retorts that he is the one who gives the orders. Servando goes and grabs Lucía to take her upstairs. After Vale tries to stop them, goons grab her, Lucía releases herself from Servando’s grasp to defend Vale, everyone starts shouting and shots are heard. The three ladies huddle on a couch as Servando tells them to wait there for five minutes.
At Barb’s house, the mysterious man tells Barb that death is everywhere and in all bodies. Barb wants him to tell the lady that she is grateful, but Death shouldn’t go overboard…she didn’t tell Barb how to quiet the spirits who can make more of a ruckus than help. The man tells Barb that she needs to work with the living and with those that are no longer here. Barb doesn’t understand what the man and Death say...they confuse her. Now that she has a chance, Barb wants the man to tell Death that what she did to her friend is not fair…telling her friend that he had little time worried him very much.
The man responds that Beltrino was a chosen one and only Beltrino must figure out what he must do. If Beltrino doesn’t pay attention, he won’t see, and if he doesn’t see, he won’t figure it out…then he will be lost and the man will have to come for him. Barb, totally not understanding, comments that he could be talking in Chinese. The man continues that today many will be saturated with the scent and join him. When he asks if she doesn’t sense it in the air, Barb looks away as she starts to tell him that the only thing she smells…but when she turns back, the man has disappeared and a butterfly is flying away.

Johny is trying to make contact with Fabricio because he needs to know how Lucía is and who the man was that answered her phone. Meanwhile, Fabricio is on the floor of the security office, literally tied up and struggling to get loose. Outside the Carvajal gate, Montilla gets out of his vehicle as the cop tells him that the outside has been secured. They have counted fifteen goons on the grounds. The goons start shooting so the cops take cover and return fire…the battle begins. As Montilla is shooting, his phone rings and he answers to Johny who tells him that Lucía has disappeared. Montilla hurriedly tells him that they are there at the Carvajal outskirts. After Johny hears all the shooting, the call gets lost so Johny rushes off. Amidst all the firing, Mateo arrives and runs toward the gate as he dodges bullets. One of the cops leads him to Montilla who tells him to get down and put on a bullet proof vest. After Mateo tells Montilla that Lucía and Vale are inside, he keeps yelling so Montilla tells him to shut up and get down or he will cause more tragedy. As Mateo is crouched, Eva calls him, so he tells her they don’t know anything yet. She hears the shots and tells Mateo to tell the cops not to shoot because Vale might get hurt. Mateo understands, but there is nothing they can do. He will call her later. His phone rings again and a lady tells him he has won a free cruise if he.............................not really. Click

The shooting continues. Just then, Juls comes running toward the house and one of the cops guides her on forward (Sheesh, who’s next, the ice cream truck? Hey, Servy, let’s take a break for some ice cream!). She manages to dodge all the bullets until she reaches Mateo. In a panic, she asks what’s going on, so Mateo tells her they don’t know what’s going on inside and pulls her down. It appears to be some conflict between the regular garbage guys and the recycle people Juls.
At Silvina’s house, Lupita calls Pancho because she is worried about Juls who was acting strange and left without explanation. Pancho thinks she probably went to see her boyfriend, but Lupita has a feeling that Juls is in danger.

During the shootout, Juls keeps ranting about her call to Vale, Mateo tells her they can’t do anything right now. Inside the house, LCJ moves slowly toward the kitchen. He sees a Carvajal guard tied and on his knees, he motions the guard to keep quiet. Morro, the goon who is there, goes to the refrigerator and when he opens the fridge door, LCJ approaches and smashes his right hook into Morro, knocking him out. LCJ takes his gun and drags him out of sight. In the living area, Servando refuses to leave despite being told that the cops are closing in. He asks for Morro and tells one of the goons to go look for him.
The three ladies are still huddled on the couch when they spot LCJ who motions that they keep quiet. Outside, the battle continues.
Montilla sees Juls and asks what she is doing there. Inside Chulo is in a panic and tells Servando that the cops are coming into the property.

Servando pulls Juanita (his favorite pistol) on him and tells him to shut up…Servando is not leaving until he finishes what he came to do. After Servando sends off Chulo, he grabs Vale, so Lucía pleads and swears that she will do whatever he says. Servando replies that if they wanted blood, he will give them the young girl’s blood. Just then, LCJ yells out to Armenta. Armenta turns Juanita toward LCJ who is covering himself with Morro.
Servando mocks him for trying to save the day and making a joke of himself. LCJ orders Servando to release Vale as he points his gun to Morro’s head, but Servando smirks as he tells LCJ that he has thirty of those and shoots Morro. Vale, in a panic, pushes Servando’s arm exposing his chest, so LCJ shoots him numerous times. Servando goes DOOOWN!! (So much for the Dollar Store Bullet-(Non)Proof vest!) As LCJ rushes to Servando to kick away Juanita and tells the ladies to call the cops, Chulo runs in and shoots LCJ, but Chulo and the other goons are quickly overtaken by the cops.

The ladies run to LCJ who is crouched on his knees moaning in pain. Lucía shouts out for an ambulance. Montilla walks into the house ordering his men to take all the goons into the police station and get their statements. Lucía asks him where the ambulance is, so Montilla tells her to chill…it’s on its way. When Montilla asks what happened, Lucía responds that Servando returned, he held them captive and he was about to kill Vale, if LCJ hadn’t gotten there, they’d be dead. Montilla, shocked, asks, “He killed Servando Armenta?” When LCJ nods that he killed Armenta. Montilla turns to look at the body (wondering how such a rich idiot could buy such a worthless vest).

At Alacrán’s nest, Alacrán makes a call because he needs to know what is happening at the Carvajal house. As he tells the person to get in touch with their contact at the house, Eva is on the phone with Mateo asking for an update. He tells her he is just now entering the house; when he gets info, he’ll call her. Eva is on her way right now!

Juls enters through the gate and wanting to know how Vale is and what’s going on. The cop tells her she can’t go in and she waits by the patrol vehicle. Um..we kinda got a situation here chickie. Inside the house, the paramedics are working on LCJ when Lucía asks for help because Vale is having a panic attack. Montilla walks over to LCJ and wonders if he knows the magnitude of what he did…he killed the most powerful drug trafficker in the country…and that will surely have consequences, he is telling LCJ so he can take precautions for himself.

At Renata’s place, Guille gets a call and is told that Vale is fine. He breathes a sigh of relief as he looks at Renata. When Guille tells Renata that he will know more later, Renata wants to go with him, but Guille prefers that she doesn’t go so she won’t be shocked with the things that happen in his house. Renata insists that that is why she needs to accompany him…so she can see the implications of falling in love with a Carvajal.

At the Carvajal estate, Johny comes marching in. When he is told he can’t go in, Johny tells the cop that he is the owner of the house, the cop apologizes for not recognizing Mr. Corona (so everyone knows that Johny OWNS the house??). As he goes through, Juls runs up toward him and shouts that she is Vale’s friend, but Johny ignores her. Juls continues to look toward the house. Inside, the paramedic are helping LCJ to the ambulance. When he insists on walking, Lucía pleads with him to use the gurney, but LCJ looks at her in annoyance and continues on until Vale walks over to him and gives him a tight (daughterly) hug as she cries. The paramedic continue to lead LCJ to the ambulance when Johny comes marching in and asks Lucía and Silvina if they are ok. Outside, Fabricio and Tiberio are giving an account of the events. As they continue, Juls is still watching the house.

At Alacrán’s den, Alacrán yells out his “UPA!!” when he finds out that Armenta was killed.

At Silvina’s house, Lupita calls Juls who tells her that she is at Vale’s house. As Juls continues to talk, she sees the paramedics guide LCJ to the ambulance and quickly hangs up. After she yells out “Chino!” LCJ looks up toward her. Juls is distraught as she assumes that Vale was in danger because of Chino.

At Barb’s house, Beltrino is annoyed to hear again that he is “the chosen one,” he can’t understand. Barb thinks he shouldn’t complain so much and be grateful that he is alive. Beltrino is still disgusted with his worthless body and he still doesn’t know why he came back from the dead. When he asks about the time he has left, Barb tells him that she asked, but he man told her something very strange…that when he sees, he won’t see and when he really wants to see, he’s going to end up looking upwards…dying. Beltrino still wonders what he is supposed to do, but Barb doesn’t know, those visions are very odd…she never understands anything they say. When she asked for an explanation, the spirit left. Beltrino is frustrated that he isn’t getting anywhere. When he asks why he was chosen, Barb replies that he is a criminal. Beltrino thinks it could be because he is a devout follower of the Santa Muerte.

At the Carvajal house, Eva hugs Vale who is still crying. Guille and Renata arrive and quickly go to Vale. After they hug, Vale remarks how she was afraid she would never see them again. Guille would have wanted that he be the one to have gone through this horrible experience. They hug again.

In San Antonio, Fabián contacts the Mejía, the PI, and tells him he will be in Mexico the next day. Mejía assures Fabián that he hasn’t stopped his investigation and has made some progress, he thinks that this time he will be successful. Fabián hopes so because he needs to close this chapter in his life so he can move forward. Fabián packs his pistol. Gringo pistols are just pistols---no name.

At the Carvajal house, Montilla tells Johny, Lucía, and Mateo that the nightmare is over. Armenta’s obsession with Lucía ended up being his downfall. (are you listening Leon/Clino?) Lucía is glad it’s over and Mateo thinks this must be a great blow to Armenta’s organization. Montilla agrees with Mateo since one of the leaders is dead and the other is in jail, but adds that it will only be a setback since those tend to reorganize quite fast. When Montilla adds that this is still a victory, Johny assumes that it is thanks to Montilla, but Montilla sets him straight when he tells Johny that it was actually LCJ who had the courage to confront them and kill Armenta. Johny isn’t so sure about that. As Johny suggests that Montilla thoroughly investigate LCJ because he thinks LCJ is part of the organization, Lucía looks at him questioningly and in disbelief that he is being such a jerk. Mateo doesn’t agree with Johny, so Johny adds that he and Lucía discovered that LCJ is an impersonator who got close to the family with other intentions. Montilla appreciates the information, but would prefer that Johny go into the station to give his signed statement.

At the hospital, Cami goes to see LCJ and complains about the high security at the hospital. LCJ is annoyed by the complaining so he assures Cami that he is fine…the bullet went right through. When Cami chides LCJ for what he did, LCJ insists that the man was at the point of killing his daughter…it was their lives or Armenta’s life. Cami calms down and tells LCJ he would have done the same thing. After LCJ comments that he is grateful for having El Chino’s body, Cami adds that he should also be grateful for the transmigration. LCJ then tells Cami that El Chino’s daughter was there and saw him…he fears Vale finding out…it will mess up everything. Downstairs, Juls asks the receptionist how she can find a man who was shot. Juls gives the name “Macario Valdez” so the receptionist tells her they have no one by that name…Juls should go with the secretary for health to look for information.

.At the Carvajal house, Guille introduces his girlfriend, Renata, to Lucía and Johny. Lucía is glad to meet her and Johny welcomes her to the family and hopes that this is the beginning of the best time of their lives. Afterwards, Johny asks Lucía to meet with him in the study.

Pancho talks to Brigida and makes sure she is calm, he doesn’t want to fight. Pancho wants a divorce, but Brigida will not make it easy for him, she won’t give him the divorce. Pancho asks why they should stay in a marriage that stopped working many years ago…they should give each other the opportunity to be happy, they are still young and now have the maturity that they were lacking when they met….they can make a better choice their next time. Brigida agrees that if he wants the divorce so badly, she will give it to him, but it will cost him. Brigida leaves and hugs MeLaGross who had been listening by the door.

At the hospital, Cami expresses to LCJ that he is afraid…of the Cartel, of Lucía. LCJ interrupts and remarks that that is a risk that they have to take. When Cami asks about Lucía, LCJ responds that she was distant but then she was attending to him. Cami thinks that the plan is completely ruined. LCJ reminds Cami that Lucía was going to leave with him, he doesn’t think she would kill him a second time. Cami sees tht LCJ is getting upset, so he tells him to calm down.
At the Carvajal study, Lucía thinks that his comments to Montilla were out of line, saying that LCJ had anything to do with the Cartel is absurd. Johny reminds her that she thought that the man being married and having a daughter was absurd. When Lucía insists that LCJ was with her in several meetings with Armenta, Johny points out that nothing ever happened to LCJ. He questions if Lucía doesn’t think it strange and wonders if LCJ planned this whole thing to win back her trust. Lucía remains pensive, so Johny urges her to trust him and to keep in mind that he has a family…and they have more important things to do. Lucía responds that he is right.
Didn't take much to get her back on the Johny Jackass team.

At Silvina’s house, Lupita calls Pancho because she is worried about Juls who was acting strange and left without explanation. Pancho thinks she probably went to see her boyfriend, but Lupita has a feeling that Juls is in danger.

At the Carvajal house, Vale tells Guille and Renata that if it weren’t for Jacobo, she wouldn’t be there. Renata comments that what she is telling them is ominous. Guille suggests that she is safe now and should try not to think about it, but Vale fears that they will return…they’ll want vengeance. Guille reminds her that the house has security (Guille, think! The security is not that secure! Let's review...what just happened?) and tries to get Vale to rest. When he suggests that she call Juls so that they can watch a movie to get her mind off of things, Vale tells him that she and Juls are no longer together…she is more alone than ever. Renata kneels in front of Vale and, holding her hands, tells Vale that she will be her friend and that Vale can call her anytime and she will be there with her. Vale forces a smile and tells Guille she likes Renata. We all do.

At Silvina’s house, Lupita doesn’t think it ‘s possible, but Juls retorts that she saw him being taken out of Vale’s house and put into an ambulance…something happened to him but it wasn’t serious because he came out walking on his own. When Juls mentions that she went to all the hospitals and didn’t find him, Lupita (thinking that is a lot of walking) tries to calm her down, but Juls thinks he could have killed Vale. Lupita asks Juls to listen…she didn’t find El Chino in the hospital because he doesn’t exist, the man she saw was the man who works as a chauffeur at Vale’s house…he is not her father.

Comments:
Great work,Kirby.

Everything is going to hit the fan now. Johny is telling multiple layers of lies that will hurt not only Jacobo but Lucia and I'm betting that his master plan all along was to use Lucia to get Leon's fortune and position and then... dispose of her. He deserves the second deepest level of hell, with Eva in the deepest one.

I can't wait for the fallout from all this.

Kirby: I went ROFLOL at your reference of the ice cream truck & Juls.

UA: I agree with you on the ramifications being exposed considering Eva is instigating things & likely wants Juls dead.

Boy the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree with Juls and Flat Face Loopie. Running and squeaking through a hail of bullets to join the other stoopid shit intruder Mateo was over the top. OK we get it, she Luuuurves her GF, they have been together for what?, three days now? She should have taken of her Candies and walked over some hot coals too to try to get to Vale so the slow ones in Viewerville get the idea. (that in addition to dumber than a box of rocks, she is crazy) Sheezo.

And what was Guille going to do if he headed over there? No gun, no car WHEELS, no skills, the only thing Guille could do would be help Steve's body count.

Maybe the Cartel will offer LCJ a job now that pays a helluva lot more than chofering. The secret route which Vale had told him long ago sure came in handy. Talk about the call of th blood, LCJ and Vale sure have the link.

Where was the cat, Tlacoyo? Probably in the park selling Lotto tickets and Kitty porn.

Urban, I'd bet you are right in that Johny planned all along to use Lucia until the time was right, like maybe after the poor widow had married HIM to put him in the inheritance line, then kill her too. I can hardly wait for his anvil, he makes my blood boil every time I see him.

Thank you, kirby, another snappy recap. Loved the title.

Mike "running and squeaking." Just so. I am tired of looking at her constant, pained , intense face.

This show could have been called "Nobody's Happy..Dead Alive."

Well, I am off to deal with more things that I don't want to deal with.

G-Mornin', Patio! Kirby, Magnifico!! Thanks for getting all the action and the screenshots were perfect!

Yup, Yup,Yup! So in Mexico civilians are allowed to just walk into a major shootout and they are guided toward the front?? Is that Mexico's way of addressing over-population? My goodness that was just crazy...and then Montilla takes the time to answer his phone??? Yassir, that ice cream truck would have been the icing on the cake!

Kirby, that hug between LCJ and Vale was definitely the call of the blood--my favorite scene last night. I must say Macarena (Vale) did some noteworthy acting last night.

The directors, however, fell short...from the civilians running into the shootout and that bulletproof vest that was a dud. And what was the purpose of Johnny asking Lucia for his glasses just to have him pull them out from his pocket with out looking? Trivial, I know, but I noticed.

Urban, I think you're right. That fan is gaining momentum and when the crap comes, it's gonna spread and hit everyone. LCJ killed the most notorious drug dealer in Mexico...he's gonna be chased by everyone---good guys and bad guys. Time to cover my eyes?? Heck, no! Eyes wide open!

Anon 11:43: Jason Bourne = Jacob Bourne-again and Ivan Hunt = Jacob Hunt(ed) Thanks for the idea! :-)

Susanlynn and Patio, hope your day goes well.

Kirby, luurve the avatar...if only we could all look so relaxed and free!

The cartel will recognize El Chino Valdez.

While they all might worship Santa Muerte I doubt they will buy the transmigration story. El Alacran might think he will take over the cartel now, but I don't think he's smart or cold-blooded enough and he still wants El Chino's head over the million dollars.

Yes, UA, I'm sure everyone is going to want to know who it was that brought down Armenta and saved the widow of Mexico. And Alacran will want the the million dollars, but more importantly, the USB which can bring down the Cartel de los Sierra.

Loved the recap and the slew of dramatic screen shots Kirby. Nothing about the cluster....at the mansion made sense. Why would Armenta insist on staying around? Why not just make off with Lucia and on to the next horror planned. And Montilla answering all those calls, and family members and friends bobbing in and out? Que que que!?

Liked this:

[police] Nothing like the element of surprise fellas. All you need now is a marching band.

Yep, marching band, ice cream truck and full video coverage. Renata showed her chops sticking by clueless Guille. LCJ demonstrated that he still has el Chino's smarts when it comes to taking out people.

Barbara continues to be a pretty clueless medium for the "más allá" but she certainly gets interesting visitors.

And Rgv Chick, I too was baffled by Johny's "where are my glasses" and then lifting them out of his pocket. Although I have done something similar. I think it's called "thing blindness".

Corona cracks me up when he's talking to his bimbo of the day. 'Cause that's ALL he does. Basically, every time, he's talking about Lucia and his worries with her. Pornographic counselors for our Johny lad. If the poor gals have to listen for hours, at least they're getting paid.

Thanks for another lively recap in your trademark style Kirby. This one was a puzzler in terms of Armando's decision-making. But who cares? Glad to see him go down in a hail of bullets. (he is really dead, isn't he?)

Let’s see. How the heck was Jules able to leave Silvianas hide away home...go to the shootout and then back to Mexico City to look for El Chino all on foot? Skateboard? Hitchhiking? It’s not like Lucia’s mansion was a few blocks away?Seriously how did Juts run all the way to and from? A beanie for me won’t do it...maybe a beanie and a trench coat?

Hooray for Kirby! Thank goodness a guy got the bloodiest episode (so far) to recap--and managed to make it humorous. We needed that--even though all our principals came out alive, though not undamaged.

The title deserves a billboard outside Ebbing, MO.

Here are my favorite phrases, Kirby:

"Anvil upgrade #17" --Only to #17? Is that a bigger, heavier anvil, or where she stands in line. I hope it's the size of the anvil.

"Sure, Rambo, just bust on in there. There's an app for that." --Mateo is the least likely Rambo on the planet. He fires away with his pen, which actually is just as dangerous. El Al will definitely be after him.

"Sheesh, who’s next, the ice cream truck? Hey, Servy, let’s take a break for some ice cream!)." --Summer humor. Let's hear it for the disappearing ice cream trucks.

"..conflict between the regular garbage guys and the recycle people Juls." --and she'd believe it, too.

"Servando goes DOOOWN." --What to wear to a romantic shoot-out assignation? A dirty old t-shirt accompanied by 15 armed men. He went down so easily, so gracefully. If it hadn't been for Vale, though, Jacobo, without his human (non)bulletproof vest, wouldn't have gotten off a clean shot, but ended up in the morgue next to Servy. Does anyone think Servy's big ego was centered in his "little" head this time? Did he really think he was going to have his way with Luci or Vale (and I suspect he wouldn't have picked Silvina of the trio) with the Enemy at the Gates ready to crash his party? OR Did he set himself up for Suicide by Cop? It's a fine line there. I agree with JudyB, he just needed to grab Luci and skedaddle. I wonder how many hours the writers spent deliberating how to bring down the Armenta Cartel in one fell swoop.

"..so everyone knows that Johny OWNS the house??)." --Just one lie after another. His disdainful look at Juls hurt me as much as it humiliated Juls. I hopeo she remembers that slight later on.

"Alacrán yells out his “UPA!!” --The BEST scene of the episode.

"Fabián packs his pistol." --It'll be in his packed luggage, no doubt, and have all the paperwork filled out for TSA.

"..he [El Chino] doesn’t exist, the man she saw was the man who works as a chauffeur at Vale’s house…he is not her father." --Another cliff-hanger. Juls is not going to be able to figure that one out. MUST SEE TV tonight.

Anon at 12:58: They have Ubers in Mexico, I think.

RGV Chick: Johnny's got more sinister plans for Dumb Blonde & it's not going to be good either.

I'm dreading what more EVIL plots Eva has cooking up.

"Anon at 12:58: They have Ubers in Mexico, I think." And she told her Mom Loopy she checked all the hospitals, then that is a lot of Ubering. As she and Mom are living off the charity of the Carvajal clan and have no jobs or money, did she choose a non-monetary form of payment. Verb.?

Wait ! That is what they mean in "Pay as You Go." isn't it? Then that was a lot of paying and going. I'll bet she slept well last night.

Loopy could have said to Juls: "Yes daughter, I saw him the other day and was almost in shock, the resemblance was so close. I even was convinced myself it was him, but I talked to him, and though he is the spitting image of your Dad, it is not him."

And, ironically, she would have been telling the truth. Hmmmm, I suppose maybe that explains it, since Max and the cat are the only ones we have not caught in a lie thus far. But the cat does need to get that incontinence looked at.

Kirby--that would have been too hard for Loopy--I have a feeling she can't string that many words together. But then, where is the suspense? Gotta have 'em coming back to Uni at 10 for more. Might I say, that in a normal day at home, the hour from 10-11 goes by faster than any other 1-hr. time period.

I feel the same way Anita. Although I record it, can't wait to see the latest episode. And if for some reason it didn't record, I am very vexed indeed. Our On Demand for the episode seems to lag about two weeks behind. Most inconvenient for this Amar a Muerte fanatic.

Kirby, you remind me of my fave, Beltrino, able to make up a "plausible" explanation at the drop of a hat. Does this come with practice? LOL

JudyB—Beltrino was an exceptionally accurate sicario. That takes some smarts. I’m sure he’s always been quick witted and able to make up plausible explanations at the drop of the hat. I think practice makes perfect and it started some time in his childhood (no I didn’t eat the last cookie—it was el Cookie Monstro.

JudyB, "Renata showed her chops sticking by clueless Guille." I was so impressed that Renata stuck to her chops and didn't even wince when Guille brought up the "It's family problems". Anyone else would have been offended by that statement, but Renata took it like a lady and stood by her man. Go, Renata!

Anita, "..so everyone knows that Johny OWNS the house??)." We all have pretty much accepted that Johny is a liar, but hat got to me was the cop coming back with "Oh, I didn't recognize you, Mr. Corona" Doesn't that imply that everyone in Mexico City thinks that Johny owns the house?

I know exactly how you feel, JudyB and Anita, the excitement and suspense are never ending with this TN; it seems to get better as it goes. Normally, there is a lull in TNS to stretch it out...no lulls needed with this one. There are some episodes that have less action, but there's a lot of necessary building up for the next one.

Kirby—I forgot to mention before—I loved you putting Johny in your cross-hairs.

Glad you liked it. It turned out kinda hard to see reduced down for blogger.
