I’m watching 4 of these on and off. So while I might not be able to post highlights for all of them every day I can try :)

Guerrero Capitulo 15 part 1 of 4

Vic and Auggie arrive home and she tries denial thinking it’s Lupe going after Auggie and what nerve she has trying to suggest Auggie is the one after her! LOL Auggie suggests that instead of criticizing Lupe, Vicky could learn something from her! Oh yeah, Vic mocks, like what? Like how to be a better mother!!! (LOL nice) Auggie points out Mariluz is a studious and responsible woman while Domi is struggling and in legal trouble. Vicky is predictably thrilled to be compared to Lupe – LOL

Lupe pays her vendors as much as she can and begs them to understand she just needs a few days to get the rest of the money. Mari and Conchita come in and our concerned she’s out of bed. The suppliers say they have debts too but they ultimately agree to give the ladies more time – but not too much for time. Lupe thinks them for their patience and Conchita promises them some tamales as part of the thank you. The suppliers leave and the ladies have the same argument again where Lupe wants to find a solution and Mari and Conchita want her to rest! Mariluz says she will sell every single flower that very night if it takes her all night to do it!

Sam is being reunited with his brothers and Domi says how happy she is that he is back, she was really worried. Damian is hugging him on one side and Adrian on the other. Jesus runs in and Damian gives him space so he too can hug Sam. Everyone is so happy to have him back and Sam apologizes to all. He says he knows now that he belongs with them and he won’t leave again. Jesus says the only thing that matters is that Sam is back and safe. Damian asks if Sam is hungry and he says yes, Damian scolds himself for asking, Sam is always hungry! Adrian says he’s hungry too and Damian offers to make them something to eat and then he’s going to do something about Sam’s wounds. Those three go off to the kitchen and Jesus walks over to sit in front of Domi. Domi says it’s obvious they have a very special family and they are very united it’s great. Jesus says it’s precisely his family he has to protect and that’s why he has to ask her to leave Sam alone. He doesn’t want her to hurt him. Domi doesn’t understand why Jesus thinks she would hurt him but Jesus says she could break his heart. He’s very sensitive and easy to hurt. Jesus tells her he found another reading teacher and he needs her to keep her distance. To Domi’s credit, she says nothing and just leaves.

Carlota coaches herself in the mirror to sound more caring and compassionate about Don Abel’s plight in her planned approach to Jesus. She’s hoping to get him to invite her out that evening. That doesn’t happen though, Jesus tells her he can’t tonight. First, he’s going to visit Abel in the hospital and then he has something very important to do that evening. He doesn’t offer any information as to what is so important.

Domi sits on her bed looking at the note Sam wrote her and thinking back to their conversation of Victoriana’s party, she smiles sweetly. Next, she looks at the drawing Damian did of her (but it isn’t the drawing she saw before, it’s the one he drew in the hospital and I don’t know how/when she got it. Damian must have left it in her room when he went to look for her but she wasn’t there because she was at the ranch with Sam) and the rose he gave her at that same party, she runs the rose over the side of her face, her smile gets all the dreamier. Her phone rings and it’s Iker. She hangs up and goes back to fingering the rose in her hand.

 

Guerrero Capitulo 15 part 2 of 4

Mari is in the street selling flowers to the passing cars but we see she’s not alone! I’m surprised that Mari and Conchita let Lupe accompany them but all three ladies are there – in this together! They do urge Lupe repeatedly to take it easy. Jesus shows up with Damian, Samuel, Valero, and Adrian and they all offer to help sell flowers! Mari tries to refuses their help but he insists and insists and mom and grandma too urge her to allow them to help. Conchita motions to the guys wanting to know who all these men are and Jesus says they are his brothers. Conchita says they are all so handsome and Valero approaches like really? Concha says ‘except this one where’d he come from!’ LOL Everyone laughs and then they get to selling flowers. Jesus makes a bet he can sell more flowers than Mariluz and these two go from hostile to flirting in three seconds flat. Just as everyone is all love and smiles we see that Carlota has pulled up and found out exactly what was more important than her! Everyone sells and sells and sells while Carlota spies from the sidelines thinking about how much she hates that damn florist!

Mica is talking to Lupe about how she’s supposed to be on bedrest and Auggie comes in and overhears. He demands to know exactly what is wrong with Lupe. Mica has no choice but to tell him what is going on. Including exactly how much money the ladies owe.

All the flowers are sold and Jesus won the bet. All he wants is for Mari to promise that she is going to trust him! He’d like everything from her but for now he is willing to settle that. Mari says she trusts him. They agree to be friends for now and later after Jesus gets his ducks in a row?? Well, then they’ll see. I still don’t know why Jesus’s vague little ‘I have to resolve ‘something’ before I can be with you but I can date/kiss the neighbor even though I don’t care about her, I promise; ‘ explanation works for Mari but I guess I’m just more jaded than her. Jesus and Mari are still starring into each other’s eyes and smiling when Conchita interrupts, time to get home. Mom needs to rest. Everyone says a cheerful and grateful goodbye and Jesus and Mari promise each other that they’ll be there for each other any time either needs help. Jesus reminds Mari that she’s the only owner of his warrior’s heart….aw, I guess.

Carloca is mad! Very mad and she takes it out on the flowers since Mariluz is a florist! Carlota says it’s not fair! Why can’t she ever have anything in this life that is just for her? Auggie and Victoriana are alerted and where Auggie is concerned, Vic is tired of the outbursts! Carlota needs help! This can’t continue, why doesn’t Auggie take her to see a doctor?

The guys arrive home in time to see Iker arrive to visit Domi. Damian comments that this is Domi’s beloved and Valero comments on how good looking he is! (LOL) Sam says that’s not true, Domi sent him packing the other day, he saw it with his own eyes! Domi refuses to go see Iker and tells Mica to kick him out of the house! Iker refuses to leave and tells Mica to tell her he won’t leave until she comes to talk to him. This probably could have taken lots of unpleasant circles for Mica, but Vic shows up and Mica runs away! LOL Vic says Domi must be upset over her legal troubles and Iker plays dumb and swears he’ll help with whatever he can. He gulps audibly when Vic mentions Auggie is on top of the issue. Vicky thanks Iker for being so attentive to Domi and gets a little too touchy feely with him in my opinion.


 

Guerrero Capitulo 15 part 3 of 4

The ladies are back home and arguing about Jesus. Conchita thinks what he did tonight is proof Jesus is truly in love with Mariluz but Lupe says if Jesus really loved Mari, he wouldn’t be dating someone else. (And although, she has a point it seems so odd that she’s up in arms over Jesus going on a couple dates with Carlota, but firmly on Isaia’s side, when he was MARRIED behind Mari’s back!) Mari says mom can relax she and Jesus are just friends. Mari is crunching the numbers and they made a good chunk of change selling all the flowers but they are still 30,000 pesos or about $1,500 dollars in the red!! They don’t know what to do and eventually reluctantly agree they will have to sell Chabella to make up the difference! Conchita is strongly opposed and says Chabella is part of the family! No way!!! But the next morning, reality has set in and Conchita is saying a tearful goodbye to her beloved truck.

Mari is on the phone telling Isaia she is headed to see Jesus who is going to help her sale Chabella. Isaia doesn’t like it, isn’t Jesus on the enemy list? Mari says they made peace and she trusts him. She’s going whether Isaia likes it or not. Before she gets very far Federico shows up with an envelope from Augusto for Lupe and the ladies. (I still find it really disturbing that Auggie and Lupe appear to have a song now) Auggie is sending the 30,000 pesos!! Conchita and Mari are thrilled but Lupe refuses!!! She isn’t going to let that man buy her!!! Her dignity means more than that – and I get her point but considering Auggie is like 25 years behind on child support I think she should have accepted the check!

Mari goes and gives Auggie the bad news, Momma won’t accept his money. She thanks him and he’s polite but it’s obvious the rejection affects him.

Isaia beats Mari to the shop and is confronting Jesus about getting close to Mari. They exchange insults until Mari shows up and makes it clear she trusts Jesus and is going to allow him to take charge of selling Chabella. Isaia just hopes Jesus doesn’t get the lowest price possible and Jesus says on the contrary, he will get the best price he can he knows how important this is.

Samuel is in the kitchen filing up a bucket with water and grabbing carrots! (LOL) He shoves the carrots in his pocket when Jesus comes in and pretends to be doing homework. They have the same Domenica is Buena/you have to stay away from Domenica conversation and when Jesus pats Sam on the back a carrot falls out of his pocket. Jesus wants to know what is up and Sam just says nothing, I like carrots. He takes a bite! (Sam has his oddities and he could just want carrots but I suspect he’s preparing to feed a horse, I hope he isn’t going back to the ranch!!)

Fede has ideas for helping Domi but Auggie says absolutely not. Let her find her own solution! He makes sure the doctor’s appointment is set for Carlota and it is.

Carlota calls Jesus and pretends she has just learned about a family problem and is upset and needs someone to talk to. She tells him Domi was deported for money laundering... She can’t believe this is happening! She really needs someone to talk to! Please!!! Jesus goes to see Carloca and they chat about Domi and Carlota puts on a show of being the worried big sister. Jesus actually says Domi doesn’t deserve for Carlota to be worried about her – which is judgmental and harsh but Jesus seems determined to condemn Domi. Carlota asks if anything is going on with Mari but Jesus claims she’s just a client and he was just trying to help her out. Besides, as far as he knows Mari has a boyfriend. And you have me, Carlota declares snuggling up close.

Adrian and Emma are video chatting and Adrian gets the 411 on Domi and Iker. Emma says they are the opposite of them, their parents want Domi and Iker together but Domi doesn’t really want to be with Iker whereas her parents want her and Adrian apart and she wants to be with him. Adrian says, tell me one thing do you really love me? (he's using querer not amor)

 

Guerrero Capitulo 15 part 4 of 4

Domi is letting Damian much closer to her today, which is different, they hug in greeting and her smile is broad. They are going out together and Domi wants to know where. Damian says the right question is in what and he shows her the convertible car at their disposal. Domi accuses Damian of stealing (‘borrowing’) the car from a client but he says he’s not a thief. He rented the car. Sam sees them leaving and doesn’t look thrilled.

Tata is nearby and watching the shop and when he calls for Sam, he actually calls ‘Samuel’!!! Sam goes over to chat.

Damian and Domi are parked at a spot with a view and enjoying the beauty of nature. Damian tries to get friendly and Domi tells him not to move so fast. She isn’t willing to move fast and Damian agrees Domi is in control, they will go at her speed. Damian says he loves the song playing and they get up and dance. Damian says he likes her a lot and he isn’t going to give up until she is his.

Tata says Sam shouldn’t be afraid of an old injured man! Look at what you’ve done. He shows Sam his head wound. Sam says it was an accident he didn’t want to hurt him. Tata says he didn’t want to hurt him and Domi either, he just needs money. Sam says he has none. Tata says but your brothers do and Sam tells him his brothers hate him and won’t want to give him money. That’s when Tata’s cards hit the table, he’s here to blackmail Sam. Get me the money or I’ll tell Augusto all about the revenge scheme!!! He demands dos mil pesos.

Damian and Domi are still enjoying the beauty and flirting and Damian says he’s sure he’s already won her over based on the way she looks at him. He cozies up to her and gives her a kiss on the cheek. She laughs and walks away.

Adrian says answer already, ‘Me quieres?’ No, Emma says ‘No, no te quiero, Te AMO!’ a lot!!! He asks if she’s serious and she assures she is! He invites her to some event the next day they are going to Xochimilco! Emma thinks that is so cool, she’s never been there. She can’t wait to leave her house. Domi isn’t there, daddy barely speaks to her, Mama is preoccupied with her own stuff, and Carlota…well she’s Carlota. Emma needs to be with him, to talk to him and feel his embrace.

Auggie is talking to Carlota’s doc about her health and somehow the brain scans look better!!! OMG! The doctor says she’s improving whatever you are doing keep doing it! Carlota arrives all false brightness and looks at the brain scans, is that me? The doctor says yes, and she’s all ‘how fascinating’, she loses interests as fast as she feined it. Carlota is excited to hear she is looking better. See, Dad, Jesus is the cure I need!!

Jesus has all the ‘evidence’ he needs! Carlota’s word is all Jesus needs, and Domi is condemned as a career criminal and money launderer. She’s a bad person like her dad! Sam needs to stay away!! And Damian too needs to be careful. Sam says what if she’s innocent but Jesus is convinced. Jesus leaves and Damian calls Adrian. Adrian tells Damian what he learned about Domi and Iker from Emma, but Damian warns him to step back as Domi may be involved in shady things.

Auggie is also visiting the Garcia house, trying to convince Lupe to accept his help. He points out it’s not just for her but also for Conchita and Mariluz. He offers another check and asks her to please accept it. Their song plays disturbingly in the background.

Carlota's lack of compassion was somehow disappointing to me. I don't know what I expected, but I think it saddened me because this is one of those indications of 'I'm going to be mad, bad and dangerous.' Brain scans? What exactly is wrong with her? I remember thinking she would fake being OK but you can't do that brain scansOr is it possible?
Who'd have thought Victoriana could say something smart.
When Mari accepted Jesus'non-explanation, I was like oh really? I wonder how long her willingness to pretend it doesn't matter what he does and she won't question him will last..
Lupe not accepting the checque was a bit strange. I mean, I get her point, but her pride and 'dignity' might be very costly here, given they already were rather desperate and having to resort to selling their truck. Don't they need it for their business? Lupe is so mad at Ogusto that she sometimes seems almost foolish.
Ogusto refusing to help his daughter is weird. How is it her fault for trusting a man she was planning to marry. Her father said you should only trust your family. So would he have reacted differently if the guy had deceived her after they were already married? Or are her sisters, gher cold-hearted mother and him what he considers family? It makes me laugh thinking what would happen if she trusted Carlota.
 

Guerrero Capitulo 16 – part 1 of 5

Lupe accepts the check but she insists she will pay Augusto back. Vic has been snooping and knows Auggie gave Lupe two checks. She wants to know if Lupe is getting money how much does she get? Auggie tells her she’s ridiculous and he was just fixing HER mess! Lupe, his nana and Mariluz are all in a dire financial situation because of something Victoriana herself did!! Vic couldn’t care less.

Lupe lets they ladies know she accepted the second check and Mari feels guilty like she talked mom into it; but Lupe said she accepted because the suppliers shouldn’t suffer because of their problems. But they are going to pay Auggie back every cent! The ladies are thrilled they can pay off all their debts and Chabella is saved! Mari says she will ask Isaia to accompany them to the bank since it’s a lot of money they shouldn’t go unaccompanied! Mari also promises to help mom pay back Auggie.

Vic and Fede are playing in bed. Vic asks him to remember his promise to teach a lesson to someone – I’m guessing Lupe but she used a lot of derogatory terms instead of a name. Fede says he has never denied her anything.

Mari and Concha are at the bank waiting for Isaia who doesn’t show. They decide to go in without him. Concha has all the money from selling the flowers well hidden on her person. Isaia is at the pregnancy clinic waiting for his wife and watching his crying child. Wife comes out and says everything looks good and their next appointment will be an ultra sound.

Valero returns the fixed Iron to Mica and they are flirting when Vic arrives like the wicked witch she is and insults Valero, who leaves. Vic is looking for Emma who is nowhere to be seen. Emma is with Adrian and his friends at Xochimilco. He shows her that he even put her name on their boat.

Domi comes out of her house and sees Sam fixing a car in front of the shop. She tries to talk to him but he refuses and just says he can’t talk to her now. She keeps trying but he doesn’t respond. She tells him not to be a child and protests when he’s about to drive off saying he doesn’t drive, but Sam leaves anyway. And drives about 50ft down the road before stopping and opening the door. Domi runs to hop in the car.

Back to the festival and Emma is afraid the boats are going to crash and they do bump up against each other but nothing happens. Everyone laughs and tells her not to worry it’s normal. Adrian brings Emma a non-alcoholic drink and everyone toasts and celebrates. Emma is having a great time and starts talking about how in love with Adrian she is. Belen gets uncomfortable and it occurs to me I don’t think we’ve heard Adrian say he loves Emma too. Adrian just says he wishes tomorrow wouldn’t come. Emma says she’s so in love with Adrian she wants to have her first time with him. She then gets embarrassed and hides her face. Adrian chuckles a little and hugs her.

Mari and Concha are leaving the bank and talking about moving forward. Mom staying healthy and Mari continuing to study. They are all optimism and for some reason Conchita decides to pass the money to Mari to hide in her purse. I was having a hard time concentrating on their actual words as it’s obvious what’s about to happen and it does. Two guys roll up on a moto and steal Mari’s purse!!! (I’m sure this is the witch’s lesson but why oh why did they just get a bunch of cash from the bank in 2021??? For that matter, who still writes checks these days?)

 

Guerrero Capitulo 16 – part 2 of 5

The ladies are back to where they started except now, they also don’t have the money from the flowers. How can anyone be so cruel?? The phone rings and Lupe says don’t answer! Surely, it’s a creditor who was expecting to get paid today!!! Mari doesn’t answer but it was Isaia and now he’s wondering about Mari not taking his phone call.

Valero is chatting once again with Mica and getting all the latest gossip about the newest set back to the Garcia’s. He runs to Jesus of course and tells him all the deets.

Sam takes Domi to an area he really likes which reminds him of the ranch. Domi wants to know why Jesus thinks so badly of her, she hasn’t done anything wrong! She says Sam can trust her, she would never want to hurt him. Sam says he knows, Domenica is Buena. Domi asks again and Sam admits Carlota told Jesus about Domi’s legal problems.

Valero and Damian are looking for Sam and Damian says if he’s not home, there’s only one place he could be.

Domi tells Sam things aren’t what they seem and she doesn’t want to stop being friends with him or stop teaching him. He doesn’t want that either. Domi also doesn’t want to get him in trouble with his brothers though. What if we don’t tell them, Sam asks. Like being secret friends??? Sam smiles that bright beautiful smile and nods.

Damian and Valero arrive to ask Mica about the whereabouts of Sam and Domi, Mica hasn’t seen either of them and tells them Domi isn’t home.

Lupe and Conchita are arguing about how can we rest with so much to do. There are several knocks on the door and when Lupe answers it’s a very distinguished man looking for Conchita. He says his name is Heriberto Villalba and I don’t know who this dude is but I recognize him from the opening song. He’s very charming with Lupe and kisses her hand. I think Lupe said he was the owner of a beauty salon (?) she didn’t recognize him because she only knows his employees.

Sam gets home and Damian confronts him. Sam wants to know what is wrong but Damian tells him not to play innocent and tell him right now what he’s up to. Sam tries to say Domi is his friend but Damian says don’t give me that. He asks straight up if Sam is interested in Domi, because Damian does like her and a lot! Sam tries to demur but Damian doesn’t let him. He demands that he have the guts to admit it to his face. Admit that the only reason he returned was to be close to Domi. Sam finally says yes, he does like Domi; and Damian is just mad because Domi likes him, and seeks him out and wants to protect him! Damian says the only think Domi feels for Samuel is pity (ouch!) He says Samuel is just like a lost dog to Domi.

Heriberto says he isn’t going to stay long and when Conchita walks up he greets her with ‘Good Afternoon, Senora Guadalupe’ Conchita is just like who are you? But Lupe corrects the misunderstanding, I’m Guadalupe’, she tells him. Heriberto is shocked, he thought she was Mariluz!! She looks so young! Lupe seems charmed but Conchita looks suspicious. I don’t really understand what’s going on and Conchita didn’t either but Lupe fills us in. It turns out this is the guy who owns the shop where the rented a bunch of stuff for the wedding and he may have sold them some of the flowers too. Lupe says they haven’t paid him because they were robbed. Heriberto says he heard about their situation and came personally to offer them support and tell them to take all the time they need to pay off the debt. (I don’t know who told him about the circumstances but I doubt it was Auggie since he was trying to play knight in shining amor and doesn’t know about the robbery I don’t think)

 

Guerrero Capitulo 16 – part 3 of 5

Samuel gets mad at Damian and his big aggression is a bear hug?? LOL Jesus and Valero run to break it up. Jesus tells Sam to calm down and Damian said he went out again with Domi and he’s in love with her! Sam retorts with ‘And you’re not?’ Damian says everything is going to be ruined and it’s all Samuel’s fault. Jesus can’t believe they are fighting over Domenica. Damian storms off and Jesus tries to get Sam to calm down. Jesus says all he cares about is that Sam is okay. He can’t fight with Damian like that, you’re brothers! He says, you understand what that means? Brothers! Sam nods, Jesus has to leave but he tells Valero to take care of Sam and make sure he’s okay. He tells Sam to eat something.

Vic gives Domi the worst mother/daughter talk ever. No man is perfect!! They are all flawed and they all get tired of us women faster than we get tired of them. They lie and they cheat; so we have to just console ourselves with their money, vacations and luxuries. It’s an ugly truth but it’s the truth! This is why Domi must marry Iker. He has the breeding and social standing that Domi needs! Domi can’t believe mommy is serious but she is and she won’t rest until Domi is married! Domi stays she’s going to get tired.

Vic leaves and big shock, Damian has scaled the wall again. He enters Domi’s bedroom and says she’ll get married over his dead body! She isn’t going to be with anyone else. He grabs her in his arms and kisses her passionately.

Carlota celebrates with daddy that she’s supposedly sane and going to be a normal woman. She insists again that Auggie support her relationship with Jesus. He is going to be her medicine she knows it; she has no doubt! He will be her life or her death! (Yeah, that sounds healthy)

Domi allows a few kisses and then pushes Damian away and asks what is wrong with him. What is he playing with? She tells him she knows very well that he knows about her deportation. She brings out his drawing and points out that he drew her with two sides, dark and light. If he has so many doubts about her, why does he scale the wall to her window? Why does he look for her? He says he likes her. She wants to know what he wants but he doesn’t have a better answer so he says the visits over. Leave and next time knock on the door like a normal person. He says he isn’t like the rest and he’s already told her that she is going to be his. Domi says she isn’t dog and she’s not looking for an owner! (NICE!) Damian asks if that’s why she doesn’t want to get married. Do you love Iker? Domi says she did love him, a lot; but it’s over now. Because you met me, Damian quips. Domi doesn’t think it’s as funny as I did and she points to the window and tells him he knows the way out. She’s busy. He leaves but not before stealing a kiss and Domi smirks and tells him to be careful and not fall.

Lupe falls all over herself thanking Heriberto even calling him the calm that comes after the storm! LOL Heriberto looks a little startled and for good reason. He says he’s just a gentleman who is happy to help a lady in distress, and that’s what you are, a lady! (Okay this whole conversation/flirtation is just weird) He says a weird good bye to Conchita and leaves.

Jesus arrives and tells Mari he just heard. Is she okay? Nope. Does she want to talk? Nope. She hugs him instead and he holds her as she cries.

Lupe is so happy to find out there are still good people in this world!! Conchita is not so sure; something seems off about him she says. But he liked you for sure! Conchita mocks Don Heriberto’s mannerisms while teasing Lupe. Lupe says mom is crazy and she isn’t thinking about such things at her age. Concha says love has no age and Lupe’s doing herself great harm for not allowing herself another chance at love. Lupe says no way. There’s only been and there will only be one man in her life.

 

Guerrero Capitulo 16 – part 4 of 5

Jesus tries to cheer Mari up by reminding her at least she and Conchita weren’t hurt. Mari says that’s true but they are worse off now then before. Jesus says it’s true but he will help her, he doesn’t know how yet but they’ll work it out together. Mari knows one way he can help. Sell Chabella, they need at least 80,000 pesos for her to pay Don Augusto and the suppliers.

Carlota sees the for sale Chabella advertised in the mechanic shop driveway and isn’t pleased. Jesus isn’t pleased to hear Augusto’s name as part of Mari’s problems, but Mari tells him that Auggie lent them money to pay the suppliers. Lupe arrives with food and suspicion about what Jesus is doing there. Mari says they were just talking about the theft and Jesus is going to help them sell Chabella. (It’s weird how none of these ladies ever have the same feelings about anyone. Mari and Concha think Auggie is wonderful, Lupe knows better. Concha knows Isaia is a snake, Lupe is team Isaia. Conchita likes Jesus, Lupe thinks he’s a snake. Lupe liked Heriberto, Conchita thought he was shady. They are so united but so different) Lupe asks if Mari has anything to tell her but no.

Carlota arrives and starts to sneak into the residence quarters but Valero sees her and tells her Jesus isn’t there. Carlota speaks to Valero as if he’s the help and tells him to have Jesus call her when he gets back. Valero doesn’t like her attitude.

Emma knows how to open a beer bottle and that talent earns her a chant, because why not. Everyone is eating and drinking and enjoying themselves, except Belen. Emma tries to talk to her but Belen is rude to her and then jumps onto a neighboring boat to escape. Belen’s brother says ignore her she’s just like that. Adrian asks Emma to dance and then she is the belle of the ball again and everyone watches them dance together.

Sam is gathering carrots and water together again and I was right he’s feeding Pinto! But the horse isn’t at the ranch, he has him tied somewhere else, the park? Sam says the horse is the best because he loves him and doesn’t yell at him for liking the pretty girl! Damian likes her too, Sam tells Pinto, but just as part of the plan.

Damian is drawing Domi again and is frustrated with himself because he likes Domi for much more than just the plan. He tells the picture of his dad saying he never imagined feeling this for the daughter of his father’s worst enemy. He wishes mom was there then maybe he could understand. He next talks to his missing mother, asking her to help him understand why Domi is the way she is and who she really is.

 

Guerrero Capitulo 16 – part 5 of 5

Adrain and Emma are now laying on the boat and she thanks him for everything. They get to some spot that has hanging dolls which is supposed to be scary? Emma is the only one freaked out by it though and she goes live on Insta talking about it, which mommy Victoriana sees her post and definitely doesn’t approve. Emma and Adrian snuggling more and again she tells him she loves him a lot, this time Adrian returns the sentiment.

Conchita refers to Jesus as ‘our boyfriend’ lol. Conchita and Lupita argue again about getting Mari’s hopes up over Jesus. Juanita shows up again asking for money and Mari offers to give her some of her own money telling mom she will recover it when they sell Chabella. Juanita says she wishes she didn’t have to but that very night they are meeting again with Don Augusto.

Augusto and Fede meet with a group of men. They have a contract for something, all prepared. I’m not sure what the contract is all about but Jesus is worried about it and telling d. Abel that of course he couldn’t go to the meeting and see what was going on. He is sure Augusto is going to take advantage of them somehow. Severano calls and Jesus asks what’s going. He’s told there’s a new contract. Jesus says don’t sign until I check the contract but Severano scoffs, you don’t understand, with the boss the options are sign or sign; everyone signed!

Auggie and Fede stop to send their driver in for coffee and we learn the contract says that if the ranchers don’t pay in time their lands will belong to Augusto! Auggie tells Fede to make sure they can’t pay on time!!

Damian and Jesus talk about the plan vs. Mariluz again and it’s the same result. Jesus won’t abandon the plan no matter what but he can’t leave Mari either. He has decided to buy Chabella instead of selling her!

Carlota is upset because she hasn’t heard from Jesus still and the call is going straight to voicemail is he talking to that florist? The answer is yes, Jesus calls Mari to tell her he has a buyer for her truck but we hear her imagining that he had called to finally tell her that he loves her!

OOH!! Auggie has decided to make Jesus his business partner! If he makes Carlota happy and it also gets him access to the missing blackmail papers, Auggie could kill two birds with one stone.

I am not sure how many people are still watching but I wanted to let you all know I am not going to be able to post a recap today or tomorrow. Adriana is out of town too and unavailable. I just don’t have the time available to recap five days. But I will post some thoughts about the episode and please feel free to add anything if you are watching and interested in sharing. I will do a recap on Friday.
 

Guerrero Capitulo 17

Just a few things that stood out:

Victoriana got mad at Emma for hanging out with the orphans and actually said they were so bad their parents didn't even want them!!! Horrible.

Domi made peace with daddy and Sam and Damian made peace as well, though Sam made the very foreshadowing statement that the plan was going to be their downfall! Now that Auggie is reconciled to Domi he's ready to focus on making Iker answer for getting Domi in trouble.

Jesus sold Chabella (to himself) and just friends Mari and Jesus have a full on make out session. Oh yeah, that platonic relationship is going real well.

Mari got some job filling in her the owner of the flower stand right outside of Jesus's shop and Carlota is not happy, actually she's hopping mad. So mad that at first she just delivers a not-friendly, he's mine warning, but by the end of the episode she's all in black and using her favorite toy - fire - to destroy the flower stand.

We find out another person on the Guerrero perimeter known something about Octavio's death. It's Don Oscar, Adrian's mentor, but we find out too late as the man is so stressed out by the news that his son signed a control with Auggie that he has a heart attack and dies.. We do get one big reveal - The Guerrero's mother is alive!!! Not exactly a shock as we figured that would be so, but it's confirmation.

Emma and her friends have some stupid question about how she needs to lose her virginity already, but not to Adrian! eyesrolling....then she even asks her followers who is the right person and the right place for a girl to lose her virginity....more eye rolling.

The best part of the episode Sam playing secret agent and meeting with Domi. They ride Pinto together, they work on reading, they have a great time until Sam asks about Damian and whether or not she likes him. Domi asks what if she does? Would Sam be upset if she was Damian's girlfriend. Sam does get upset and rides away!! Leaving Domi to get herself home.

Auggie talks to Jesus about being partners and he says he needs to talk it over with his brothers. He takes pictures of some documents in Auggie's office when Auggie leaves the room momentarily to look for Fede who is playing with Vic in the kitchen - they don't get caught! Not sure what the documents were but their was a copy of D. Abel's license included. Speaking of D. Abel, he is recovered and ready to leave the hospital.

Tata calls Samuel to find out if he got the money yet, but Damian and Valero answer so they know he's up to something.

Los hermanos Guerrero all gather around Adrian to support him at the funeral of Don Oscar and Adrian gives them the news about their mom.
 

Guerrero - Episode 17 Notes & Quotes.

Thanks, Darcy. I’m still watching (and loving this show). Here’s what I caught.

Mommy Dearest warns Emma that Orphanpalooza is going to cause her migraines. This outing coupled with Dom’s money laundering will be the end of her (won’t be soon enough). She forbids any further hangouts.

Damián tries to make nice with Sam using a nicer tone. Sam calls him out saying Damián’s feelings for Dom are only for The Plan. He ominously warns The Plan is no good and will break them (the brothers). Scorecard: Domi: good; The Plan: no good.

“Yisus (©️Valero)” delivers the good news to Mari. He’s sold Chabela for well above the asking price. She offers him a whopping ten pesos for all his hard work and apologizes for the previous slap. He will only accept a kiss for payment (exactly where the slap was delivered). Cue theme song, snuggling, and a serious lip lock. This scene is very cute, and their chemistry is really ramping up.

Conchita does not react well to Chabela’s change in ownership.

Crispín, the owner of Say It with Flowers™️, asks Mari to work at his flower stand for a few weeks. She accepts.

Carloca is attempting some confection when she learns Mari will be tending the corner flower shop. Note: she’s somehow gotten more flour on her nose than in her mixing bowl. She storms out of the kitchen without saying goodbye (much like Mommy Dearest’s exit earlier). Mica notes both divas’ lack of class.

Don Abel urges Yisus to abort The Plan and find happiness with Mariluz. This falls on deaf ears. Jesús has brought a cane to help with recovery. Don A is back on his feet, and J says he’ll always have a place to stay.

Don Oscar (Adrián’s mentor) is worried that his son Servando will end up like Octavio Sanchez (dead) after signing a land deal with Augie. Adrian spills the fraternal beans. DO says they need to focus on other things. Their mother Elisa is alive!!! They must find a picture in Augie’s possession. DO dies.

Nobody (Patio) cares about Emma’s Like A Virgin social media debate. Rodrigo offers to do the deed proving that he attended the same charm school as Vic and Carlota.

Sam & Domi & Pinto(!) start their private lessons. We get a lesson in semantics (en campo vs. de campo) and some beautiful shots of them riding together.

Fun Fact: Augie is left-handed (based on his dart throwing). Iker must resolve the money laundering debacle. Iker says he can’t take Augie’s call(s) until he reconciles with Domi (currently too busy with Sam).

Augie tells Jesús he may sponsor a formula race car and would like official mechanics. J will speak to his brethren.

Vic tells Fed she’s ready to strike (Guadalupe) again and wants to know her landlord’s information.

Sam asks Domi if she had a good time with Damián. She did and asks if Sam would be upset if she were Dam’s girlfriend. Sam rides off (alone)!

The final sequence is chock full of action! Carlota & Mari face off at the flower stand. The brothers learn Oscar is dead. Sam returns. The brothers get ready for the vigil. Domi makes it home (via Uber?). Adrián mourns Oscar. Sam works on his group hug technique. The brothers learn their mom is alive. Carloca burns down Say It With Flowers™️.

P.S. I don’t know what to make of Villalba’s storyline. It’s odd (at best) and even less intriguing than Emma’s Virgin Monologues.

Thank you O.S., for adding all those details!! I so appreciate it! I so missed the part about Vic now going after Lupe’s landlord!!! Probably cuz I can’t stand listening to her. What a horrible person! She wants to totally destroy Lupe’s life and leave her homeless? It scares me to think people that ruthless actually exist! And it’s just to serve her vanity!! She’s not even in love with Auggie!!! Or she wouldn’t be sleeping with his nephew. I really can’t stand her which must mean the writing and acting are excellent!

I also agree completely that Villalba is less intriguing than Emma’s Virgin Monologues and I love the way you worded that!! It’s true that development is just weird so far!!
