Guerrero Capitulo 13 part 1 of 5

Back to Jesus and Damian trying to get through Sam’s head the idea that he has to stay away from Domenica. Jesus tries to take a more sensitive approach this time asking Sam to please tell him what he wants and what he’s thinking. What does he want to do? Jesus may have made headway too, but Damian interrupts and says Sam doesn’t think at all. He tries to insist to Sam that he and Jesus are the only family he has and he has to be loyal to them! Sam gets frustrated and tells his brothers to leave him alone as he walks out the door.

Jesus tries to impress upon Damian that they need to have more patience with Samuel. They need to put themselves in his shoes, he isn’t like them and they can’t expect him to think and act like them (Impressive that Jesus is starting to realize this!) Damian however plays devil’s advocate and asks what happens if Sam tells Domi everything while we are giving him space? What happens then? Do we just let the plan go to hell? Domi gains more ground with Sam every single day!

Sam is roaming around alone and remembering Jesus asking what he wants. Does he want to help them get justice for the people who have hurt them most? He remembers Damian telling him to forget about Domenica and not ruin everything! He remembers Tata telling him that his brothers will get tired of him and then he’ll be back at the ranch! The ranch is where he belongs. Sam looks around sad and alone. His fear and confusion are written all over his face as he collapses against the alley wall about to cry.

Valero is off to complete his mission and cozy up to Mica. He gets his hand smashed in the gate for his troubles. I understood Valero about as well as I always do so I can’t tell you much about what was actually said but I do know Valero has a reputation for being able to fix just about anything that is broken and it seems as if he was at least mildly successful with the flirting.

Jesus and Damian are still discussing Sam and they aren’t aware that he’s gone. Valero comes bounding into the room saying mission accomplished! They want to know what he found out and Valero hilariously starts going into a bunch of details about Mica and her work schedule and days off, until Damian reminds him it’s Domenica they want to know about; is that dude her boyfriend or not? Nope, it’s her fiancée! Damian is pissed! He knew she was a liar! She specifically told him she had no boyfriend. That settles it for Jesus, we have to keep her away from Sam! I’ll talk to her, no more classes. Oh, by the way, how did it go with the new teacher. Valero talks circles around the subject and tries to convince Jesus he doesn’t even need to meet her - Valero will take care of it! LOL (I love the way he kept saying ‘She’s very good – for teaching’ over and over again) Their conversation is interrupted by a phone call confirming it is Don Abel that they found!!! Is he dead? Damian asks, Jesus gives him a serious look but doesn’t answer.

Augusto asks Carlota for details about the call Jesus got regarding d. Abel. Carlota tells him all that she knows and then laments that the call came just as they were having such a wonderful time! Auggie assures her they can go again another time and is off to his office. Carlota goes to take her frustrations out on a rose. She starts with the typical ‘he loves me, he loves me not’; but ends up crumpling the whole rose as she vows that no florist is going to take her man!

 

Guerrero Capitulo 13 part 2 of 5

Mari and Conchita are sorting flowers and Mari is going to go sell some to earn money to go buy mom’s medicine. A song comes on and suddenly Mari’s whole mood is lifted. She loves this song! It even gives her goosebumps. Conchita laughs, this is an old song. It was popular when you were a very little girl!! We were living in the country and you were always hanging out with that little boy…What was his name? Mari thinks back and remembers, Lisardo! Wasn’t he the son of Octavio Sanchez, Conchita tries to remember. The kid Mari was going to marry.

Jesus and Damian are driving and listening to the same song, and Jesus is smiling away. Damian asks and Jesus admits the song reminds him to Mariluz. Damian is not happy to hear Jesus is thinking of Mari and he says he’s just like Sam with Domi; but it sure looks like that’s a drawing of Domi that Damian is working on, so this is the pot calling the kettle black! Jesus says he tries but he just can’t stop thinking about Mari. Damian asks if Jesus would be capable of giving up the plan to be with Mari and Jesus says he's capable of anything else for her, but to give up the plan, no. He won’t give up the plan for anything!

Fede gives Augusto some paper having to do with Domi’s issues. She’s indicated in some pretty serious crimes Fede lets his uncle know. Auggie tries to call Domi but she’s still not answering. Fede asks what’s going on with the Guerreros and Auggie tells him about D. Abel being found and says he wants Fede to stay on top of that issue. Fede thinks it would be best if they keep their distance from it but Auggie says he’s the one who does the thinking around here. He tells Fede to remember what happens to people who disobey him, and reminds Fede that he owes him big time! Don’t be an ingrate! Oh, and when Domi gets home tell her to stay here until I get home! That’s an order!!!

Damain and Jesus arrive at the hospital and Damian takes a minute to encourage Jesus – if they brought him here it’s because he’s alive, think about that! Jesus rushes to reception and asks for D. Abel. He hears the room number and rushes off before the nurse can tell him he can’t go in. D. Abel isn’t looking good but he’s alive. D. Abel is more unconscious than awake but he does mumble to Jesus to be careful! Augusto suspects them and he’s very dangerous! Be careful! The nurse arrives with security and Jesus and Damian get thrown out of the room. Jesus begs Abel to live as he leaves and tells him he won’t leave him alone! He’s going to take care of him. (It occurs to me that it’s kind of odd that Jesus calls him ‘Don Abel’ given the close nature of their relationship)

In the hallway, Jesus is about to lose it. It’s his fault D. Abel is like this!! The only man who took care of him after they lost everything and now, he’s attacked because he’s helping me! Damian wonders why D. Abel? It doesn’t make sense. Damian tries to convince him it could be something else but at that very moment Augusto shows up and Jesus has no doubts. He has a hard time even pretending to be civil with Auggie as he curls his fists. He says Abel will live and we’ll find out what happened. Auggie guesses it could be the same person who attacked the last time, you know the one who kidnapped him? I rescued him… Damian, who’s doing better at playing nice, says you’re right, it may be. Auggie puts his hand out to Jesus but he can’t shake it so Damian does instead. Auggie walks away and Jesus swears he’ll shot him in the head if Don Abel doesn’t live.

Emma is video chatting with Adrian and talking about how messed up Belen’s action were. Adrian is much more laid back and just shrugs and says Belen is like that. Emma presses and Adrian admits they used to date but it didn’t work out because Adrian saw her more as a friend or even a sister! He has to acknowledge that Belen isn’t over it yet.

 

Guerrero Capitulo 13 part 3 of 5

Mica brings a not-working (or working) Iron to Valero to fix. As an excuse to flirt? I’m not sure but it appears the iron is working fine because it burns his hand, but Mica did say sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. We see Sam walk back into the shop but he’s still hanging his head and barely acknowledges Valero when he says hi. Next, Sam is packing (NOOOO!!) and Valero still fails to notice as he goes to work fixing the iron – he sure recovered from the burn fast!! Sam looks around and leaves the shop with his backpack.

Now evening, Sam is waiting outside to say goodbye to Domi when she pulls up with Iker. Someone please tell me why Domi would let him drive her car??? Iker tries to get entry into the house but Domi already called him a cab. Iker tries to insist and Sam intervenes when he sees Iker won’t leave Domi alone. Iker goes all possessive and Domi has to tell him to go away and not start. After he leaves, Sam tells Domi he was waiting to say bye. He’s going to the ranch, but he wanted to tell her it was nice knowing her. He gives her a piece of paper. She asks if he’s going forever and he says yes. Domi insists she will give him a ride to the ranch (because she has no idea what goes on at that ranch) and Sam gets in the car. Domi opens the note and it just says ‘Gracias’, in Sam’s big sprawling handwriting! (Aw!)

Jesus calls and asks about Sam, but Valero tells him he’s in his room, because he thinks he is. He tells him Sam is quiet and doesn’t want to talk. Jesus says he and Damian are staying at the hospital until D. Abel is out of danger. Carlota is there with Jesus offering to help him however she can and we hear Jesus thinking he can’t forget she’s the daughter of his worst enemy. Carlota offers to distract Jesus or take him to dinner but he says the man who’s like a father to him is in critical condition and he’s not leaving the hospital until he knows he’s okay. Carlota says okay, I understand. She offers to wait with him but he has Damian. She turns around and waves at Damian and then after making sure Mari isn’t there too, she leaves telling Jesus to call if he needs anything. We hear Carlota thinking it’s a good thing that florist isn’t here, although it’d be a good idea to remind her Jesus is mine!

Speaking of Mari, we see she’s out selling flowers on the street corner. She has the heart of a warrior Conchita is telling Augusto. He’s come to see Conchita and he wonders if she needs money but she says no way! She called him to ask for help for others. Auggie gets the idea that it’s Conchita that helped the men at the gala and Conchita doesn’t contradict him because she doesn’t know better. She talks all about what a wonderful man Auggie is and he finally agrees to do as she asks; but just for her, and this is their last extension to pay.

Lupe comes out of her room not realizing Auggie is there. She tries to claim she’s not unwell but Conchita gives her away before rushing out of the room. (They actually start playing a song for these two??) Auggie asks Lupe to tell him the truth, he couldn’t stand it if something happened to her. He can’t stop thinking about her, he’s never forgotten about her! Lupe says nothing and Conchita returns with her blanket. Conchita asks if Auggie needs anything but Lupe says nope, he is leaving, good night! Auggie leaves and Lupe warns her mom she better not tell Auggie about their money problems. She retreats to her room crying over the fact that Auggie choses now to tell her he still thinks of her after years of nothing! And she’s an idiot for letting it affect her, and for still thinking of him.

Vicky is asking Fede where Augusto is and he calls her Tia! Why, she asks, why call me Tia? You know I hate it! And the next thing we know Vic is all over Fede. Yep, these two are having an affair. I’m sure no one is surprised. Vic is ready to go but Fede is like any time any place, except here!!

 

Guerrero Capitulo 13 part 4 of 5

Back to Jesus and Damian in the hospital waiting, and it IS Domenica that Damian is drawing, you can tell clearly now. He talks about her having two faces and being Augusto’s daughter. Jesus says Auggie is going to pay for everything. The doctor comes out and the guys learn Don Abel is now stabilized and awake. They run off to see him – Jesus before the doctor can even finish his sentence and Damian after asking the doc if he wants some coffee and handing him his empty cup! (LOL)

Jesus wants answers about who did this but all Abel wants is for Jesus to forget everything and walk away. It’s too dangerous! Their lives are in danger and Abel begs him to let things go. Abel convinced Damian but not Jesus. Damian actually tries to convince Jesus to drop everything and go be happy with Mariluz (I vote for this too) but Jesus doesn’t think he can be happy with a damaged heart. Justice first and then happily ever after. Damian understands but he doesn’t want this to end in any of them dying, he tells Jesus to think about it.

Emma comes in calling for Mommy, warning Vic and Fede of her presence in time for them to spring apart. Emma says it’s dinner time but Fede takes off and Vic says that if both Domi and Auggie are not home it’s not worth her time (Witch!) She goes off to sleep and tells Emma to eat alone.

Jesus calls to check on Adrian and he is really touched that Jesus was thinking of him even with everything going on. He explains to the picture of his mom that he doesn’t want to lie to Emma but he feels like he can’t let Jesus down. A buddy runs in to tell him his girl is waiting for him in the living room and Adrian hurries off thinking it’s Emma.

Damian has come to demand an audience with Domi for some crazy reason. Mica tells him she’s not there but he doesn’t believe her. Vic comes in and calls him everything except a nice young man and makes it clear Domenica is too good for him and he should be calling her Miss Domenica and entering from the service entrance next time – if there is a next time.

It’s not Emma, it’s Belen and she wants to remind Adrian what it was like when they use to make love (so he saw her like more of a friend/sister but he still had sex with her) Adrian lets her down easy yet again and tells her Emma is his girlfriend now.

Emma is in the kitchen with Mica and Carlota comes in demanding Mica’s phone. Supposedly to call her dad but she refuses Emma’s phone so it’s obviously for something else. We hear Carlota’s thoughts congratulating herself on finding Mari’s phone number!

Mari is excited she sold all her flowers and can now buy Lupe’s meds. She gets a message from an unknown number, the video of Jesus and Carlota kissing! She is once again hurt by what a liar Jesus is.

Mari’s truck won’t start and I was thinking she clearly needs a better mechanic, but it turns out she just ran out of gas. The gas station is like 10 blocks away and she’s exhausted but there’s no help for it; what has to be done, has to be done. Especially since Isaia doesn’t answer his phone as usual. Mari actually tells Chebella to wait for her there she’ll be right back! LOL

 

Guerrero Capitulo 13 part 5 of 5

Jesus is driving and finding out Sam isn’t home after all as Valero thought earlier. He tells Valero he’s almost home and hangs up.

Damian was thrown out by Victoriana so he went up the side of the house again apparently. He ends up in Domi’s room, but she’s not there; she’s at that damn ranch with Samuel and no idea what she’s walking into.

Sam is excited to see his horse, Pinto (?) It is his horse too, he rescued him. He tells Domi all about the rescue and how now the horse loves him because he rescued him. He says the love of animals is better than people, because they don’t ask for anything and they don’t try to force you to do things you don’t want to do. Domi wants to know if Jesus and Damian are asking Sam to do something he doesn’t want to do but Sam doesn’t answer. He suggests they take a walk under the stars instead, but unfortunately Tata, who isn’t on his deathbed, enters with his shotgun and his ‘animal’ greeting.

Tata asks what Sam is doing there and who his friend is. Sam says she’s Domenica and she brought him there but he’s staying and Domi’s leaving. It’s taken Domi all of 5 seconds to figure out the lay of the land however; and she says no way, you aren’t staying here either! This isn’t the place for you!! (If ever there was a statement that needed to be internalized, she nailed it in one. You don’t belong on that ranch, Samuel) She tries to leave and Sam tries to tell Tata not to mess with Domenica. If you mess with her, you mess with me! Domi thinks she can help by letting Tata know that she’s the daughter of Augusto Luis Montalvo but of course, that’s no help at all. Tata rises his gun; he’s going to see how much Auggie will pay to get his daughter back!

Mari got the gas and the meds and she stops and rests IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET! Jesus nearly hits her, because nearly getting into accidents with Mari is what he does. Jesus is concerned wanting to know if she’s okay, but she just wants to yell at him for showing up and making a bad day worse. She lists off all the ways Jesus has complicated her life. Why is it always him?? Jesus says, you’re right; I can’t take anymore. Let’s fix this. I’m in love with you!!! He declares, Te Amo, you’re the woman of my life. SMACK! Mari responds, showing no enthusiasm for Jesus’s declaration of love.

Thank you, Darcy, for the recaps and keeping the discussion going. The winter storm and Christmas prep tried to double team me and keep me off the patio, but I’m here. And I’m not here to make excuses; I’m here to add to your notes (12 & 13 combined).

Let’s start with the most obscure. Vic is throwing a hissy fit about her daughters not mingling with the lower class, and she refers to them (mechanics) as “codos prietos.” Google says there are creams for this (dark elbows) but not much else. I will probably not be using this phrase. I do like “Gringolandia (from Damián)” however.

The song playing on the boat with Jesús & Carlota was “A Little Bit of Love” by Fabiola Roudha. The tune was very groovy, and the shots of our couple in the sun were gorgeous!

Repeated names/phrases that I like more and more each day: “Samuelín” by Valero. Sam has repeatedly introduced himself with “Samuel. Soy yo.” which is probably pretty standard, but his delivery is so dang cute.

The dance class with Selena, Sam, and Valero was the best. Sam’s turn & hip action along with Valero being Valero were comic gold. Bonus points for dance instructor Selena and a knock-off “La Carcacha” song playing in the background; that made my day.

I was glad to see the brothers re-examining their stance and tactics with Sam, but we all get nervous when Sam goes solo.

Valero goes to sweet talk Mic, She finds him yelping and asks if he’s having a freak out (chiripiorca). Instead his finger is caught in the door. Mic uses the age old cure-all (spit) to relieve the bruised digit. He calls her his Feather Duster Queen, and agrees to be Mr. Fix It (in exchange for info). This is why Mica returns later with the sometimey iron.

You have covered all the action in so much wonderful detail, there isn’t much more to add.

Sam’s horse is indeed (El) Pinto. This could be the most (fluid) we’ve heard Sam speak. He found him in the country - lost and unfriendly (literally a real kicker). Sam befriended him, brought him to Tara’s, and now Pinto loves him unconditionally. Watch for Pinto in the opening credits.

Who doesn’t love Sam?!!

Is Tata really dumb enough to demand ransom from Augie?!’

The winter storm is still raging; nevertheless, I hope ya’ll are all safe, cozy, ready for the holidays, and able to watch and post.

Thank you O. S. for adding the details and vocabulary! Especially with Mic and Valero! I such a hard time understanding him especially. And I watch without subtitles so I can’t even read to help me out! So I am extra glad I have you to help me out!!

Yes, I love that scene in the opening credits with the horse, so sweet and I do think Tata is stupid enough to try to get ransom from Auggie. He is greedy and cruel and has no idea what and who he is dealing with!

My plan is definitely to watch and to post a recap this afternoon! This storm is raging indeed! It isn’t bad here snow wise, but it’s a whole -5 degrees outside!! Stay warm all!!
 

Guerrero Capitulo 14 part 1 of 5

Back to Jesus declaring his love and Mari slapping him good! She’s tired of him playing games with her. Just because she doesn’t have a father to protect her doesn’t mean he can play with her! She is worth way more than that and even if she can’t get Jesus out of her heart or mind, she isn’t going to let him treat her like garbage. Jesus says he isn’t playing games. He can’t stop loving her even though it hurts. But he understands he can’t treat her this way and he apologizes he shouldn’t approach her until he’s truly free to be with her and done with everything else. He asks her to understand, but she doesn’t understand of course, because he makes no sense! She tells him to leave her alone but he insists on helping her back to Chabella and she reluctantly allows this. Once back at the truck, Jesus fills Chabella with gas and Mari leaves barely saying thank you as she drives off. Jesus swears to that even though it breaks his heart, it’s best to let her go.

Sam is tying up Domi per Tata’s orders. Domi is asking him to wake up! React! Why are you just doing what he says? Sam tries to reassure her that things will be okay but of course, they won’t. Tata tells him to leave and Domi begs him not to, but Sam obediently follows Tata.

Jesus and Damian were worried about Sam telling Domi the truth, but they should have worried about him telling Tata!! He does, he is afraid Tata will hurt Domi, so he spills ALL THE TEA to Tata!! He wants Tata to let Domi go, but Tata refuses to give up the best deal he’s gotten in his life – ie. Ransoming Domenica. Tata makes some other off-color comments about Domi and Sam gets upset. ‘Not Domenica’ he declares, attempting to fight off Tata but Tata weaves and Sam falls. It looks like Tata hit him in the head with the gun too, he’s out cold!

The cameras show how Sam left with Domenica so the boys are just thinking he’s with her. Damian is jealous and Domi’s phone is off. Valero fuels the fire by suggesting what they could be doing with the phone turned off! LOL Damian is sure Sam is telling Domi everything and she’ll then tell Auggie everything, what are we going to do then?

Auggie is pissed they let Don Abel live! Fede thought he was dead but… Fede is sure that there’s nothing that can connect them to Don Abel and Auggie says he better be right, they all know what happens to people who fail Augusto Montalvo!

Damian wants to go to the police about Don Abel but Jesus says they don’t have enough proof. All that will do is expose their real identities! So, what? Damian says, we let him get away with it? No way, Jesus swears, even if it costs my life, I’m going to make him pay!

Adrian is feeling bed about Emma but spending time with her was worth the punishment! He’s pouring out all his doubts to Don Oscar but he doesn’t seem to be paying attention. Adrian is worried but Oscar says he’s just tired and he doesn’t have any answers. He tells Adrian to go to bed.

Emma is waiting for daddy and thinking about how Adrian doesn’t want to hide their relationship. She tries to talk to Auggie about Adrian, but it’s a nonstarter. Auggie won’t even have the conversation. Emma is too young for a boyfriend and she needs to concentrate on school and controlling her diabetes.

Mari wants to know what she is going to do with all these flowers and how could they just cancel the wedding at the last minute? She starts to wonder what is up with that Maurice dude. Can mom be right about him being a fraud? She wonders what she can find about him in the internet.

 

Guerrero Capitulo 14 part 2 of 5

Lupe is trying to explain to her suppliers why she can’t pay yet and Conchita takes the phone and reminds the caller they have never failed to pay and they’ll pay again, so be patient! She hangs up. Lupe points out how many people they owe and they have no way to pay. Mari enters the room and informs the ladies that Maurice hasn’t left the country! He’s right there in the city and she found him! They are going to go see him in the morning and demand answers!!! (Dude, if you’re going to commit fraud the least you should do is use a fake name!) Conchita is hilarious in the background mumbling about how Maurice is going to find out what happens when you mess with the Garcias!

Vicky is excited about tomorrow and offering Mau a big check as a thank you for all he’s done. Auggie comes in and Vicky tells him about owing Maurice some money for a favor he did her. Vicky wants to believe Auggie is suspicious and jealous, but Auggie is more concerned about Domenica. Vicky doesn’t think she’ll be home since she’s with Iker and she tells her husband not to be old fashioned and to accept that Domi is a grown woman who is engaged. Vicky knows nothing about the deportation of course, and just goes on and on about the wedding.

Domi spent the night in a barn instead of with Iker and she wakes up, notices Sam is passed out and tied up not far from her. She wakes him and he thinks he’s okay but his head hurts a little. Domi tells him he’s bleeding. Sam apologizes for bringing her here, he never should have! They need to get her out of here! Domi tells him again that they both have to get out of that place. This is no place for you, Samuel, she tells him. She says he needs to go back to his brothers and he says he’s useless to his brothers but Domi tells him not to say that. They adore you, it’s obvious! Sam says he does everything wrong and he’s no good for what they want to do. Domi asks what they want to do, but Sam doesn’t tell her. He realizes he has an axe nearby and they set about cutting the ropes at Sam’s wrists.

Damian and Jesus are waiting at the hospital and Damian is remembering Domi’s ‘lie’, while Jesus is thinking about Mariluz’s reclamations. They both rise frustrated at the same time and both claim nothing is wrong when the other asks. Adrian arrives and tells them he got permission to come and see them and visit D. Abel too. The doctor comes and tells them D. Abel is much better and if he continues to improve, he’ll be able to go home tomorrow. They rush off to see the patient.

 

Guerrero Capitulo 14 part 3 of 5

Sam and Domi have gotten free and Domi wants to find a way for them to leave but Sam finds a window for only Domi to go out of. She tells him to come but he insists on staying and distracting Tata. Domi is uneasy with this but she doesn’t have much choice. She tells Sam if he doesn’t come out, she’ll return with help.

D. Abel asks about Adrian’s leg and Adrian says his girl tripped him, which gets a raised eyebrow from Jesus. Adrian corrects to his platonic girl! LOL They like each other but no one wants them to be together. Abel says that’s for the best. Everyone should stay away from that family! More begging Jesus to forget about Augusto in vain. Jesus wants Abel to relax, but Abel can’t just relax and not worry, Auggie is too dangerous. D. Abel asks about Samuel, noticing he’s not there.

If only they knew, Sam is about to confront Tata again! Tata finds out Sam let Domi go and he threatens Sam with the gun. He tells him he has to go get Domi back, he’s not going to lose this score. Sam refuses! Domi has made it to her car and she doesn’t know what the right thing to do is but her cell battery is dead.

Tata taunts Sam about being in love with Domenica, cruelly telling him that little rich girl will never look at him. He’s stupid, he’s nobody, he’s trash! Tata goes to attack but this time Sam defends himself. He doesn’t do much other than push Tata off him but it’s enough, and Tata falls hitting his head. Sam puts the gun out of reach saying again that Tata isn’t going to hurt Domenica. Blood is pooling behind Tata’s head and Sam puts a hand to his head not knowing what to do. With no knowledge of what’s going on inside, Domenica ironically drives off at precisely the moment she could have rescued Samuel easily.

Mari and Co have arrived at the fashion show to find Maurice but they can’t get entrance. Not even Conchita’s signature intimidation has any effect on the guard. A model and her crew arrive and gain entrance without so much as a raised eyebrow.

Bless his poor sweet soul, Samuel is worried about Tata! He’s got him flung over his horse and is taking him to get medical help presumably. He keeps telling the horse to go slow so Tata doesn’t fall… it’s sweet in a very sad way and of course Tata doesn’t deserve one bit of it.

Mari is quick thinking and she’s got an idea, she puts a scarf over her head and enters like the bell of the ball with her servants carrying her bags. The guard protests briefly but Mari convinces him to scram.

Another afternoon with Renata, she and Emma are watching Carlota’s video with Jesus and Emma wants to know why she can’t be with who she wants. Vic arrives to put in her arrogant two cents and Renata says some mundane thing about Rodrigo (I swear this chick is either in love with Rod herself or getting a commission off the sale of Rod to Emma, she’s a broken record) It’s the same pointless discussion until Vic mentions wanting to go to the fashion show and being upset Domi’s not there to go with her. Emma wants to go!! Vic dismisses her as knowing nothing about fashion and tells her to stay home with Renata. Vic asks Ren about her family and she says they are well and are traveling abroad. Vicky leaves and Renata comments on how cold it was that Vic dismissed Emma and how horrible she doesn’t even want to cross the street with her youngest daughter. Emma tells little big mouth she should talk; her parents didn’t even tell her where they were going! The only reason she knows they are in Europe is because he saw it on social media!! (Ouch!) Renata claims they will overcome it!! She has a great idea, let’s call Rodrigo!! My eyes were rolling but Emma looks like she’s willing to consider it.

 

Guerrero Capitulo 14 part 4 of 5

The moment the ladies were waiting for, Maurice arrives and he folds very quickly under pressure! (LOL where’s all the cackling and bravado now, dude?) He caves so quickly Conchita didn’t even need to grab him by the tie and give him the whatfor, but I’m glad she did cuz it was funny. Mari records him and threatens to post it. Maurice offers them both money and the name of the person who set up the fraud: Victoriana Luis Montalvo!

Victoriana is talking to Auggie about the show, saying she’s buying the most expensive item even if she doesn’t like it. If it’s too young for her, she’ll give it to Domi! Auggie says no way, Domi gets nothing! Vic still thinks Auggie is mad about her spending the night out of the house but Auggie finally tells her Domi was deported! Carlota just happens to be coming downstairs and puts on a highly amusing act of being surprised that the perfect sister is in trouble. Gee, what sorts of things do people get deported for? She asks innocently.

In true ‘go to everyone except the police’ novela style, Domi arrives at the shop and rushes in to find Jesus and Damian. Not finding anyone but Valero she rushes out as fast as she came and leaves Valero talking to himself. Valero calls Damian and tells him Domi is back but Samuel is not.

Sam is at the hospital with Tata and the nurse tells him that Tata is stable but they don’t know how long it will be before he regains consciousness. It could be hours, or days. She goes to get some paper or a form to take down Sam’s information. Sam looks over at Tata and tells him he shouldn’t have messed with Domenica. In the same way Jesus asked why Sam is the way he is, Sam asks Tata: ‘Why are you like this?’ You’ll be okay, he says, you’ll see. Sam walks out of the room and considers. He remembers Domi telling him the ranch isn’t the place for him and that his brothers adore him, it’s obvious. He remembers Jesus and Damian worried about him when he was in the hospital. Sam takes one more look around and walks out of the hospital leaving Tata behind.

Adrian is hanging out in front of the mechanic shop with his buddies when Rod and his friends arrive. He goes to say hi to Emma but of course is confronted by Rodrigo’s entitlement and snobbery! Adrian stops just short of saying he’s Emma’s boyfriend and retreats quickly when it’s clear Emma isn’t going to speak up. Emma does admit she and Adrian are ‘friends’ and she is clear she wants nothing from Rod, but it’s very little defense in front of her friends’ disrespect of her boyfriend. (Judging from the alcohol, all these spoiled rich kids know how to do is drink)

Domi rushes home to get help from there probably, but she doesn’t get very far because all talk in this house is of Domenica’s deportation. Vic goes into denial, Carlota continues her ‘of course you didn’t, you’re perfect’ mock support, and Domi wants to talk to dad alone. Vic protests - and to be fair this is the kind of conversation a mother should be allowed to participate in – but Auggie and Domi dismiss her and retreat to his office alone. Carlota makes a ‘oh my’ comment about Vic being able to visit Domi is a maximum-security prison soon. Vic says she’ll be visiting her in the looney bin first!

Domi tells Auggie the whole story and Auggie criticizes her for trusting Iker and not asking for help. He says Domi made her bed and now she’s going to resolve this mess herself. Domi said she made a mistake, what you never made a mistake? And daddy says, almost never (lol) and when I make a mistake, I learn from it! Domi feels like Carlota and Emma get more support but Auggie says, Carlota is sick and Emma is young and vulnerable because of her diabetes; but Domi has everything in the world going for her, it’s time for her to appreciate what she has! He orders for out over her protests.

Domi gets no help from her self-obsessed mommy either and he storms off once more. She finds Damian outside and rushes to him saying how good it is he’s there. Damian says I missed you too my love and tries to get too close but Domi pushes him away. Damian wants to know what’s wrong with her, why is she doing this to him? She lied about having a fiancée. Domi says forget about that, we need to talk about Samuel! But Damian thinks Domi is involved with him too so he adds that charge and then guesses that Sam told Domi everything? Huh? She is confused but Sam shows up just then and a relieved Domi runs to hug him.

Adrian is watching his friends skate and Belen is trying to convince him that he shouldn’t let Emma treat him the way she does. She embarrassed of you in front of her friends! Adrian says the problem is her parents and not her friends; besides he trusts Emma. Belen says he’s incredible and he shouldn’t let anyone humiliate him.

More Renata, sigh… Emma notices her birth control and this leads to a talk about sex. Renata has been sexually active for a while and Emma is behind the game or so Renata wants to her friend to believe. Emma wants love, romance, and Adrian; Renata thinks she should sleep with Rod! (I know the shock!!! Can you believe it?)

Lupe is now waiting for Vicky. Mari wants her to leave, remember what the doctor said! Let’s go home and stay calm. Nope! Lupe is going to give Vicky a piece of her mind!!! The wicked witch arrives and says some craziness about Lupe coming all the way down there to look for Augusto!?! She tries to make herself sound important while making Lupe seem like less than nothing but Lupe isn’t discouraged. She lets Mrs. Montalvo have it! Calls her out for pretending to be generous while putting together such a awful plan to ruin a poor family. Auggie tries to intervene but Lupe tells him to stay out of it, he only makes things worse! (haha) Lupe tells Vic she isn’t interested in her man but if Vic is so worried, she should take better care of her man so he wouldn’t have so much time to go looking for her. And it is HIM who seeks ME out, she assures!! (Check out the looks on these ladies faces while they are all up in each other’s faces; they were enjoying this scene!!) Lupe storms off and Conchita gets right in Vic’s face and says: ‘Bruja!’, she and Mari stalk off as well. Auggie turns to his wife and says it’s time to go home, and on the way, you can tell me what that was all about! Vicky says he’s the one who has some explaining to do!

 

O.S. i forgot to say earlier I don’t think the way Samuel refers to himself is standard, he’s actually saying it backward by not say ‘Yo soy Samuel ‘ I think it’s meant to be a proof of just how isolated and uneducated he has been on the ranch, Tata never even bothered to teach him how to speak in proper sentences.
