Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 31 – Part 1 of 5

Carloca wants Vicky’s help thinking of another plan to get Jesus but Vicky thinks it’s a lost cause, he’s a measly mechanic she tells her stepdaughter. If you can’t get a mechanic to sleep with you, I don’t know what to say. Carloca says there must be a way. You got my father to sleep with you and he’s clearly not truly in love with you!!! Vicky’s look of shock with her silly face mask and cucumbers, is hilarious!

Jesus is still conferring with Papa’s grave. He doesn’t know what to do and he needs a sign. A white bird lands on the grave stone and he smiles wide. I guess he got his sign but I know nothing about birds and have no idea what kind of bird it was or what the sign is. If you do, please share with the patio.

Carloca continues to torture Vicky by telling her that her other two daughters, so pretty and perfect, are also crazy about Jesus’s brothers. It’s so funny to watch Carloca enjoy making Vicky squirm, much better than when she’s hurting innocent people, Vicky deserves it!

Emma gushes about how special Adrian is and how his friends don’t even drink. Emma says all her friends think about is drinking. None of this would have even happened if Renata hadn’t pressured Emma to drink! Emma didn’t want to but at the same time she didn’t want to feel left out of the group. Adrian says if they were her real friends, they would accept her as she is and not pressure her to do things that could be dangerous for her.

Adrian next confronts Renata and her two friends saying how could they show up when all of this is their fault? He repeats that if they were real friends that wouldn’t have let Emma drink knowing she was diabetic! Friends 2 and 3 seem genuinely shocked and concerned because they didn’t know Emma had diabetes but Renata is just arrogant and dismissive, calling Adrian a loser and saying he is nobody to talk to her! She flints off while friends 2 and 3 eye each other but reluctantly follow.

Damian wants to see Domi and she comes telling him she only has a couple minutes. Damian says he just wanted to see her, to form a memory of her before he leaves. Domi doesn’t understand, he’s gone days without looking at her or talking to her and now he’s saying goodbye again? She wants to ask just one thing before he leaves, she turns his head and looks at the wound.

Augi approaches Vicky lounging in the backyard. He thought she was at the hospital with Emma. Nope, she was waiting for him so they could go pick her up together. You know what, he says, I actually have things to do go yourself!!! So that’s both parents who can’t be bothered to visit their daughter in the hospital.

Domi wants to know if she’s the one who gave Damian that wound and he admits it’s true. If Domi wants to report him, he’ll understand. Goodbye, he says and stalks off.

Vicky actually made it to the hospital and she must have been there two seconds already because she’s complaining about how long it’s taking and how she doesn’t want to be there. Adrian comes in with the wheelchair and Emma’s surprised and delighted face gives it away. Vicky asks him to remove the mask because she likes to see the face of the people she’s working with! Before he can, Domi shrieks and pretends to see a spider or a rodent or something and she ushers Mommy dearest out of the room to safety! LOL Adrian approaches Emma laughing that that was a close call.


 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 31 – Part 2 of 5

Speaking of LOL, The Great Condom Mystery!!! Valero finds a condom wrapper in the backseat of the customer’s car and the finger pointing starts. Valero suggests Damian but he says no, he suggests Sam because he’s been lucky with the ladies lately but Sam says it’s not his. Damian next says it could be Valero but Valero hilariously says he’s a professional and he doesn’t leave behind evidence of his crimes!! Jesus comes in like Father Knows Best and lectures them all on professionalism and respect for their customers. He again asks who did it and again everyone denies it. At that moment, Adrian returns from the hospital, sees what is going on and reluctantly admits he was him.

Now sitting in the living room, Adrian comes fully clean with all the Guerreros and Valero. He is completely in love with Emma. He swears he tried to stay away like Jesus asked but he just couldn’t! He loves her, he can’t stop thinking about her, and despite all odds she loves him too! Adrian doesn’t think Emma needs to be a part of the plan, her parents barely even know she’s alive, they pay no attention to her. Adrian apologizes to Jesus to letting him down and breaking the pact but he swears he can still trust him. He says Jesus taught him to be a Guerrero and as a Guerrero he wants to fight for his love! Jesus sighs. He tells Adrian that he told him to stay away but it looks like love arrived in the middle of their fight for justice and love is love. Jesus is proud of him! Everyone else is relieved and a big family hug ensues.

More of Vicky raging and not listening to Emma at all. She’s still blaming Adrian for everything and threatening to send Emma to boarding school. Emma tells Mica she is not going to stop seeing Adrian, he’s the love of her life.

The guys toast to Emma and Adrian. Jesus, Valero, and Damian have beers, Adrian and Sam have either a clear soda or milk. Jesus says Adrian and Emma are free from the oath and so are Damian and Sam. Sam wants to know what that means for the plan and Jesus tells them about going to see papa. He says the sign he got is that they should just leave justice in the hands of the law and live their lives. (This is the smartest thing Jesus has ever said, but like Adriana pointed out last week it’s only episode 31 so I highly doubt it) Damian says if that’s what dad wants, he agrees. Jesus can be happy with Mariluz and Sam with Domi. Sam looks pained but he doesn’t speak up to correct Damian’s assumption. Valero wants to know what about Damian and he says if his brothers are okay, he will be okay. Jesus says, okay say no more; now let’s find mom so we can be a complete family. The make a one for all and all for one pledge.

Vicky is having a credit card problem and Augi informs her it’s not a problem, he froze her accounts. Until she publicly pronounces Lupe’s innocence for the Poloze incident and offers her a contract to rent the house at way below market rate; Vicky isn’t going to have access to any of her bank accounts or credit cards. Vicky throws a fit, shoves a bunch of stuff off Augi’s desk and says it will never happen! Apparently her dignity is worth more than money, which is surprising I didn’t think she had any dignity!

Damian is digging for his own knife to go meet Peste, he tells dad he has to in order to protect his brothers. Sam enters and begs Damian to tell Jesus, maybe he can get the money! Damian says he isn’t going to involve them in his problems. Much less now that Jesus is happy and Sam should be too! Don’t worry, he tells Sam, everything will be fine. He asks for a hug and then walks out leaving behind a very anguished Sam.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 31 – Part 3 of 5

Aw, Sam is selling Pinto! Domi drives up and is confused. Is Sam selling because Jesus won’t let him keep him? Nope, Sam just needs $30,000 and he has to sale Pinto. Domi wants to know what Sam needs the money for and Sam is reluctant but Domi tells him to trust her maybe she can help. Sam says he needs the money for Damian to pay off a debt. Domi is appalled that Damian would ask Sam to sell Pinto, but Sam tells her that Damian doesn’t know anything about it. Sam says Damian is in trouble and if he doesn’t come up with the money he could be killed but Domi thinks Damian is manipulating Sam. Does Sam know Damian was the thief in her house? Sam admits he knows but he himself heard the thug threaten Damian, he only did it because he had to. There’s no manipulation, Damian’s life is in danger. Domi finally looks concerned instead of suspicious.

The gathering of the non-family to celebrate Mari’s not-daddy is taking place and it turns out Celestino knows very well that Mari isn’t his daughter because he and Lupe never consummated their marriage!! He’s just going along with Lupe’s lie for who knows what reason. Lupe tells him it will only be for a few days but she refuses to explain to him the real story and tells him not to be nosy when he asks. (I’m sorry, this woman just drives me crazy!!! How entitled can you be? She actually expects the ex-husband that she married without loving, never slept with and then left a year later, to support her stupid lie for a few days no questions asked????) Celestino agrees though and Mari brings him quesadillas because apparently, he had said that he missed them!

Conchita and Lupe argue over the idea of lying to Mari about who her father is, again! Round and round we go, what is different this time is Mica overhears and if she can put two and two together she now knows that it is Augusto who is Mari’s real father. She doesn’t comment on that however, instead she interrupts their argument to correct their mistake in thinking it was Augi who got Mari out of jail. It was actually Jesus, she informs them! She tells them exactly what Jesus did to get Mari released. Leading Conchita to another let Mari be happy with Jesus rant! Lupe is as moved as always but Mica agrees.

Isaia shows up and Mari can’t even pretend to be happy to see her husband-to-be. They argue immediately and it goes from bad to worse when Isaia brings up Jesus. Mari tells him she doesn’t need to hear about his jealousy now and he might as well leave since he only came to ruin her night.

Damian sneaks up on Peste and finds him playing with the knife he pretended he didn’t have, he takes it. Peste tries to play buddies with Damian but it’s too late for that. Peste says they are in this together but when Damian says he doesn’t have the money, Peste says the group will take it out on his brothers. Damian quickly puts Peste in a chokehold and puts the knife to his throat. No one is going to mess with my brothers, do you got it?

Domi comes to meet Sam with the $30,000, she sold some of her stuff to get it so he can take it to Damian before it’s too late. You love Damian, don’t you? Sam asks, that’s why you got the money, because you love him. Domi doesn’t answer, but the look on her face says enough.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 31 – Part 4 of 5

Peste finally spills more details. There’s a guy looking for him, and he doesn’t know why but he’s offering a lot of money to find the Sanchez brothers. Damian tells him his name is Guerrero, Damian Guerrero! Peste says didn’t they always call you Sanchez in the neighborhood? No, Damian says, Sancho because the ladies loved me! (I looked it up and when a man was sure his wife was cheating on him but didn’t know whom with they would referred to the other man as Sancho) Peste says that settles it, I’ll just tell him you’re not the right guy!! That’s it just a mistake. I don’t know how I’ll convince him but I will, problem solved. That may have ended it, but Domi and Sam arrive and hand over the money even though Damian tells them not to. Domi wants to get out of there, but Damian shows his driver’s license to Peste. Look at the name and remember it!! We are the Guerreros! Get it right and don’t bother me again, agreed? Peste agrees.

Vicky thinks Augi can’t control her with money because she can go to Fede. They get cozy for a moment, Vicky wants Fede to restore her access to her accounts but Fede can’t do that. Vicky keeps saying it’s her money and it turns out that at least a portion of the dinero is in fact Vicky’s via inheritance but her father gave Augi some sort of executive authority over it. Bottom line, Augi can decide what to do with Vicky’s money and there’s nothing she can do about it!!

Augi goes to visit Carloca who is still pretending Mari hit her. She’s wondering how long Mari will be in jail and clearly doesn’t know she’s already out. Augi wants Carloca to go back to therapy and Carloca wants to blame everyone but herself and rants some more about how Mari is ruining her happiness and Jesus is her only cure. Augi says Carloca isn’t going to lose Jesus but she needs to leave Mariluz alone! Focus on yourself and Jesus, if you don’t, you’ll force me to take drastic measures, do you understand? Carloca agrees but says she also needs daddy to talk to Jesus as he promised.

Big surprise, Mari isn’t happy with only knowing her father for two days in her life and wants to convince Celestino to stay!!! Lupe looks shocked! Why in the world would she honestly believe Mari would be content with just a couple days???

D. Abel and Jesus are preparing the files to report Augusto in the morning. D. Abel is happy about the decision Jesus made he’s sure this is what his dad would have wanted. Abel assumes Jesus is off to see Mariluz but Jesus has to talk to Carlota first. He wants to talk to Mari when he’s a truly free man and that means he has to put an end to his fake relationship with Carloca. They celebrate their victory in giving the land owners the money to foil Augi and can’t wait til tomorrow when they can report him officially.

Augi is pissed that the landowners paid but Fede says the plan worked perfectly, someone gave the men the money to pay! He has no idea who, but they mentioned the name of Octavio Sanchez! Of course, the sons of Octavio it was them!! Augi is working himself up into a frenzy and Jesus is arriving to see Carloca. He doesn’t really have to eavesdrop this time, since Augi is yelling and he could have heard him from outside. The rant is far from imaginative, they are bastards, I’m going to find them, yada, yada, yada. What’s different this time is Augi is threatening Elisa too!! He’s going to find Elisa and her sons and kill them all! Jesus does learn Tata is dead and he didn’t tell Augi/Fede a single word and he’s still sure that the boys are near cycling him like animals. Finally, they have a sketch of the man who gave money to the landowners, and apparently, Augi and Fede can’t be bothered to remember the faces of the men they beat and almost kill because it looks just like d. Abel yet neither man recognizes him!! Fede sees Jesus’s shadow in the hall but doesn’t catch him.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 31 – Part 5 of 5

Well, so much for love over justice. This is too much!! Now mom is in danger too and Jesus just can’t stop! If he does Augi will kill them all, including d. Abel. He has to get Augi before he gets them!

Remember a few episodes back, how I said it would be creepy if a guy actually did sneak into the girls’ bedroom to watch her sleep? Well, Jesus does just that! Mari wakes up and Jesus says the same crap about distancing himself for a time even though he loves her more than anything. She is his life, he goes to leave but this time Mariluz is ready to fight for what she wants. She’s going with him; she knows a place where they can talk.

Domi is reprimanding Damian for pulling a knife on that dude but Damian says he had to make it clear that no one messes with his brothers. It’s the law of the street but Domi wouldn’t know anything about that because she lives in her crystal castle. Sometimes you have to risk your life for the people you love. Hmm, Domi says, did you know Sam was about to sell Pinto to get the money for you? Did you know that? Sam interjects and finally tells the unspoken truth. He tells Damian that Domi got the money herself because she loves Damian! She loves you, brother; he sadly admits and then walks away.

Sam runs to Selena to lick his wounds!! Aw, he is nearly crying and she tries to console him but she also tells him to stop suffering for a girl who doesn’t want him. If he lets her, she can help him. Sam says that’s what he wants and they start kissing.

Domi says she doesn’t know why Sam said that, and she just didn’t want him to get hurt. Because you love me? Damian asks. Because your life was in danger, Domi deflects but Damian just sweeps her up and starts kissing her passionately. Domi doesn’t protest.

Mari took Jesus to Villalba’s greenhouse, and she wants to know all but Jesus says he can’t tell her everything. What he does tell her is that he recently found out that his mother is alive and her life is in danger. He doesn’t know where she is but the clues to find her lie with the Montalvo family. He won’t tell her more because he doesn’t want to expose her to danger. Mari now understands that Jesus is with Carloca only to get closer to the Montalvo family but he feels nothing for her, he swears the only one he loves is Mariluz. Mari believes him now but still feels bad for Carloca, she isn’t her favorite person, but she really loves Jesus and she’s going to get hurt when this is over. Jesus knows, but right now his mom has to be his top priority! These two start with the kisses too.

Anon, we are watching on the Univision TV channel. The time and schedule is listed above. Univision usually doesn’t subtitle their shows in English so I doubt there is any place where you could watch with English subtitles. Univision does subtitle it in Spanish though.

Thanks, Darcy, for capturing all the action in this fun episode. Comedy made a triumphant return and our beanies got just a few tugs during the course.

The episode began with maximum absurdity. Carloca is venting to Mommy Dearest. MD actress seems genuinely amused at Carloca’s label for the florista: ajolote (Mexican salamander). I want to know what the discs were MD was applying to her face. Didn’t look like any cucumber I’ve ever seen.

I assumed the bird that answered Jesùs’s pleas was a dove. As a Prince fan, I may be biased. This would indicate that peace is coming; however, there’s no way peace will last -only 31 episodes into our story! Adriana called it.

I was nervous when Damián admitted he was on the receiving end of a Ruiz Montalvo vase by the hands of Domi. Was relieved when she kept her cool with this information. She lost her cool screaming “Rat” and whisking MD away to save Adrián. This can’t bode well for the hospital’s Yelp reviews.

Condom-gate was hilarious. Not only is Valero a professional, he never leaves behind evidence of his “heavenly acts.” How do these actors keep straight faces? There has to be a gag reel.

Darcy, that was a great catch with the Guerrero toast. Sam and Adrián are drinking milk - despite both of them recently engaging in activities which could be considered TV-MA.

You must have gotten an extra scene. After MD’s remix of Augi’s desk items, mine jumped to Sam’s Pinto auction.

Sam’s “Ce Bende (sic)” sign was hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time. His continual angst about his brother’s endangered pescuezo (based on Peste’s threatening gesture) is so genuine. With his limited scope he’s sacrificing Pinto for his brother’s safety. Aww.

Why in the world would Natalia Esperón (Guadaloopy) choose this role for her return to television? The character is irrational, delusional, entitled, and generally unlikable. I still have hope. #only31episodes

I liked the whole Peste/Damián exchange, but I didn’t want Peste to get away with anything. The “Sancho” defense was right in line with the comedy infusion of this episode. The trade off with the payoff, I suppose, is Peste and his ilk may finally leave the brothers alone.

Jesús: Pardon me for stalking you, Mari, i.e., breaking in and watching you sleep, but your window locks are useless and really should be revisited. Mari: All good. Let’s talk in private.

We finally get the long-awaited Domi/Damián lip lock. Jesùs comes somewhat clean with Mari. Peace and harmony abound…31 episodes in…

Thank you O.S. for your continued encouragement and for adding details I missed! I agree it didn’t look like a cucumber to me either but I had to make a call and cucumber makes sense. It actually looked like a potato to me but I have no idea!!! Lol that woman is strange!!!

Yarn Guadaloopy is horrible and delusional! It what world would someone meet their dad for two days and then be like okay nice seeing you, have a nice life! She’s actually just a nicer version of Victoriana IMO. She’s not evil but she’s every bit as selfish and self serving. The fact that she can be rude to Celestino while he’s doing her a favor is unbelievable!

Absolutely O.S., your notes are great! Keep it up! I never worry about whether or not people are telling me what I miss. I miss plenty especially if I am recapping on a day when I’m tired. It’s helpful for both me and the patio if the patio adds what I miss or clarifies mistakes, adds interesting tidbits, etc etc etc! All feedback and contributions are always welcome!

I was initially active on the Mi Camino es Amarte patio, but I have been quiet lately (as the villains, which started out fun to watch, have become quite humorless). I’m still watching though.

Samuel is the best of them all because he is the only one who can't lie and is so genuinely good it's heartbreaking. But why oh why does Selina have to get involved? This plot development is disappointing.
I wonder what Augusto's special meassures with regard to Carlota would be.
I wanted to laugh when Jesus said he was going to dump MissI'm definitely not crazy. Good luck trying to come out alive of that one, Jesus. She'd set them both on fire.
Victoriana's father must haveeither hated her or had been one of those stupidly old-fashioned types if he left Augusto in charge of his daughter's inheritance. Vicky is not the smartest, but at least I know get where all those ideas about marriage came from.
 

Guerrero. Superb, detailed recap, Darcy! Whoa! I'm so happy that Jesus has finally decided to do the right thing and not make Augusto's daughters the object of his revenge. Whether he'll be able to keep to that resolution is another matter. Yep, O.S., the white dove is a symbol of peace. Adrian is very wise about friendship. I still don't understand why Damian just ask Domi if she was interested in Sam--oh well, Novelaland. I totally agree about Lupe.

Hmm, I didn't actually watch La Mexicana y el Güero, but at the time I was active in the Mujer de Nadie patio. Maybe you saw me there?

I'll definitely watch and recap Mi Secreto, I can't wait for it to start. Who knows, maybe we'll recap it together! (Theoretically, by the time you're reading this, you'll know, but oh well. I don't know yet lol.)

"Beanie Babes" had me smiling. Fabulous.
 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 32 – Part 1 of 3

Repeat of the long-awaited kisses between Domi and Damina and then Domi breaks away and starts to leave, Damian stops her in her tracks staying she feels the same way he does. Why can’t she just admit it? Domi says the only thing she knows is that she doesn’t know who Damian is, she doesn’t know what he wants and she doesn’t understand him. Damian says he’s the one who doesn’t understand her, what game is she playing? Why can’t she just make a decision he asks as he pulls the hair back from her neck and inches closer and closer. Domi says there’s no decision to make, she and Damian have nothing in common. Damian blows on her neck and says so you feel nothing? Damian keeps getting closer as Domi keeps claiming she feels nothing. Domi says they can’t be together and Damian wants to know why. Domi pushes him away.

Selena and Sam are in bed again, she’s feeding him grapes and says Domi’s loss is her gain. Selena is asking about Domi and what happened and Sam tells her she is in love with Damian. I can’t imagine why this woman wants her pillow talk to be about another woman, but okay. Selena tells Sam that she does want him, she is crazy about him. These two get cuddly again.

Adrian and Emma have a video call. Adrian tells Emma that Jesus and the fam know about their relationship and are supportive. Adrian encourages Emma to get closer to mom because maybe then Emma can influence Mommy Dearest to allow her to date him. Adrian clearly doesn’t know Vicky; this isn’t going to end well!

Damian visits daddy’s grave and brings him the knife which he intends to leave in the dirt!! This is a very bad idea because Augi may find that knife and have it dusted for prints. Damian promises he’s going to change. He’s done things in the past but that was just to get by. Now he’s going to be a man dad can be proud of. He also promises he’s going to find mom where ever she is and repeats the promise this time speaking to mom.

Valero tells the boys the story of Mari meeting her dad. He does it in his over the top Valero way and I only understood a part of it but Damian loved it and says I love this guy! The story gives Adrian the idea that maybe his dad is out there somewhere too and doesn’t know he exists! Maybe he can find his dad! Domi and Emma too are talking about Mari finding her dad and Vicky wants to know the tea. Mica tells her Mari’s father is some dude name Celestino who didn’t know he had a daughter.

Adrian is sitting and talking to mom’s photo again, saying how cool it would be to know your dad (so sad!) just like when he found her and his cousins. He’s proud to be a Guerrero and happy the cousins support his relationship, now he just wants to know more about his mom and how she ended up in the mental ward. And also, to know who his dad is.

Vicky flashesback to a memory of Adrian’s mom (I can’t remember her name but I think Vic called her Cornelia? ) rushing to tell Don Augusto that Guadalupe Garcia was pregnant with his child! Back in present day Vicky decides that either that baby was never born or Lupe is lying now! She somehow thinks the truth will serve to convince Augusto to return her money!

Mari is of course waiting on Celestino hand and foot and Mari begs him to stay. She offers daddy the tiny room in the back and much to Lupe’s chagrin, he accepts!! Are these people forgetting they are supposed to be packing because they are getting evicted??

Vicky is still trying to figure out who Mari’s real daddy is when Emma shows up to talk with mommy. Emma lays out her plans for a grand spa day and Vicky says ‘sure, okay’ without even listening to a word her daughter said. I’m betting mommy isn’t going to show for spa day but Emma is excited.

Lupe tries to order Celestino to leave and even has the nerve to insult the man when he doesn’t agree to do her bidding – I swear I’m starting to hate Lupe more than Victoriana.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 32 – Part 2 of 3

Emma does a video to let all her followers know she’s still alive and then researches how to organize the best spa ever! She gets it all set up.

Mari is at her stand and trying not to look towards Jesus. Jesus lets the guys in on why he isn’t giving up on the plan after all. That and Damian’s news that someone’s out on the streets offering mucho dinero for any information leading to the identities of the Sanchez brother’s convinces everyone that they have to keep on. Vallero grabs the stack of ‘the documents’ from the filing cabinet but some of the files fall behind the cabinet without him noticing. They discuss whether or not the documents are useful to them but Augi arrives and dear sweet honest Sam says, ‘we were just talking about you!’ LOL Jesus makes the split-second decision to give the files to Augi so that he’ll think he has their unconditional loyalty and won’t suspect them.

Augi is giving the guys their atta boys for the good job they did with the car and their first payment which was $60,000 if I heard correctly. The second payment comes after the race.

Emma’s spa day is ready and big surprise Vicky isn’t there, she’s playing in the sheets with Fede and asking for a DNA test. Left alone, Emma decides that she and Mica will get the massages but Mica talks the whole time! Halfway through the massage Emma starts feeling nauseous and dizzy and has to get up and run to the bathroom! (Looks like the pregnancy theory is correct.)

Jesus and Augi are still talking about the success of the car when Carloca arrives, Jesus quickly makes I love you gestures to Mari while no one is looking and then takes selfies with Carloca. Domi approaches Mari and apologizes on Carlota’s behave, she feels really embarrassed but Mari tells her not to, she didn’t do anything. Domi gives Mari some advice, Stay away form Carloca! Domi says she’s my sister and I love her but Carlota isn’t an easy person to get along with. Domi lets Mari know she can always count on her. Carloca notices Domi and Mari together and she isn’t happy.

Crazy Carloca has a dream that Domi and Domi are going through her closet and Domi is giving Mari her clothes. Domi is wishing Mari was her sister instead and she says she doubts Jesus will stay with a crazy girl like Carloca! When Carloca awakes in a frenzy she goes out into the hall and unfortunately finds Domi on the stair landing!!! She starts accusing her of all the things dream Domi did and a confused Domi tries to tell her to calm down because none of this is happening but Carloca gets violenter and violenter until Domi is shoved down the stairs. Carloca stays where she is not seeming very moved by her sister’s possible injuries.

Augi and Fede look over the papers that the mechanics gave them. Augi thinks they just turned them over in loyalty but Fede says not to trust them too quickly, he doubts they turned them over for just that reason. I swear, Fede is sharp as a tack! Unfortunately, he’s always the one suggesting or jumping to exactly the right conclusion.

Vicky has found Domi and is crying trying to wake her up. She yells for Augi who comes quickly. Vicky is yelling look what the crazy one has done now but Augi is still trying to protect Carloca at all costs. Fede calls an ambulance. Carloca herself is at the top of the stairs looking unconcerned until Daddy tells her to go to her room and she says Why is it always me?! Emma comes down and sees Domi too and is beside herself with worry.

Next morning, Domi is okay but in a neck brace. The doctor prescribed a couple days of bedrest and Emma is lying right beside her in bed. Vicky too, doesn’t look restful to me. Damn Iker shows up and even though Domi clearly doesn’t want him there everyone leaves her alone with him. Vicky tricks Emma out of the room by saying she wants to do something with her but as soon as they are out of the room, she basically shoves her out of the way and tells her to go to her room and leave Domi alone with Iker.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 32 – Part 3 of 3

Vicky barges into Augi’s office and tries the whole your daughter needs to be locked away argument but Augi isn’t hearing it. He somehow believes this was an accident!!! Vicky is at her wits end now and says Domi is you daughter too!!! You have an obligation to protect her!!! Augi gets real mad at that, probably cause it hit too close to home, but he does call the doctor and he tells her it is urgent.

Carloca plays innocent and pretends she doesn’t remember what happened. The doctor decides on a sleep therapy! Carloca protests that she doesn’t want any therapies and she doesn’t want to go anywhere. She wants to stay here in the house!!! Augi actually says that nobody is going to make her do anything she doesn’t want to do. Vicky is insisting Carloca needs to be under medical observation but the doctor says they can do the study right there in the house and Carloca won’t need to go anywhere! Carloca is just afraid Jesus will find out and she tells her daddy over and over again that he can’t know, Augi assures her that he won’t.

Vicky goes to Fede for some herb. She needs it today!!! She’s going to take care of Carloca herself!

Carloca is now roaming the halls and listening in on Domi’s conversation. She hears Domi talking about how she doesn’t want to be with Iker anymore and she chuckles in glee.

Jesus is called by Augi to some abandoned warehouse!! I guess he’s the godfather today?? He asks about the papers again and why Jesus handed them over. He wonders if Jesus has a copy of the documents and even threatens to take him out of his path! He wants to know who exactly Jesus Guerrero really is!!

Carloca and Vicky are getting ready to sip wine together as if nothing at all happened! Vicky says she has another plan for Carloca and gives her the herbs. Apparently, these are to douse Jesus so he’ll sleep with Carloca. There’s enough there for two or three rolls in the hay and with luck she’ll get preggers. So, Vicky’s big plan is to help Carloca to trap Jesus so they’ll get married and she’ll get out of her house!!! Or did she spike the wine and she’s just throwing Carloca off with the rest?? There’s a funny moment when the two of them have a little ‘you take a drink first’ stare down.

Jesus passes Augi’s test and he welcomed to the family!

Emma is talking to Renata about how mom stood her up and she mentions being dizzy and nauseous. Renata wonders if she could be pregnant and asks if she used protection. Emma flashes back to the day when she and Adrian didn’t have a condom but their hormones got the best of them. No, she admits, looking worried now.

We have a woman approaching the grave, and she finds the knife in the ground! She’s a little shaken as she says ‘Octavio?’. This time we see Elisa’s face, and Gabby Spanic is in the house!!! We end on this note.

Darcy, another tour de force recap. I am going to try to be your Valero whisperer (but I can make no guarantees). Valero is cooking an egg (“a la Mexicana”) and tells the boys (all but Jesús) that Mariluz, the florist, the one of (he draws a heart) and points to phantom Jesús was living a big, fat drama (dramononononón) and then all of a sudden the big drama turned into a party when the father showed up!
Adrian says, “Really? A Priest?”
No, continues Valero. Her dad. Her daddy. Her father (each one delivered in a different voice). Sam says, “Really. Mariluz has a father?” Valero says it’s Celestino cuz his name is Celestino and up until yesterday he had no idea about anything.
At this point Sam swaps bagels with Adrián for no known reason except fraternal rights. Valero continues: So the party turned into a telenovela. Lots of laughs. Lots of hugs. Lots of tears. Lots of laughs. Lots of emotions. Oh and there were certainly many laughs.
Here is where Damián says, “I love him (Valero).” This scene probably loses all comedic impact in translation, but it really shows what a good time the actors are having with each other.

Other notes.
When Mommy Dearest is sitting by herself contemplating Mari’s paternity, her drink is a 2-toned lava-lamp looking cocktail. When Emma bum rushes her about spa day, the drink has turned into a monotone piña colada or margarita. The takeaway: MD loves her drink - despite having a diabetic, alcohol-prone, uber-neglected minor to lead by example. It was sad that Emma got so excited about spa day when it was obvious to everyone not named Emma that MD would not be attending their play date.

Jesús’ wink and I-Heart gesture were super sweet (and bold) right in front of Augi & Carloca.

Mica made me laugh OUT LOUD when she was offered and accepted the massage in place of MD. Her comic stylings (which rival Valero’s) were interrupted by the impending PSA-Pregnancy storyline ahead of us.

Darcy, Fede can be sharp as a tack…EXCEPT he’s also dumb enough to boink his Godfather uncle’s crazy wife!!!

Funny not funny: histrionic MD is trying to make sense of her daughter’s motionless body at the bottom of the stairs. Carloca says cooly, “She started it!”

Not a big fan of matricide; however, the writers are giving Emma more and more probable cause.

Funny and funny: Carloca’s facial expressions while eavesdropping on Iker & Domi. Antagonists do bad things, great actors make said things fun to watch. Carloca’s stare down with MD is another example of this. Spanish Fly? Really?

You’re right about Fede, sleeping with Vicky is the one truly dumb thing he does and I don’t get it, he’s a good looking guy and Vic is insane. Surely he could get a girl his own age as long as she doesn’t find out he’s a murdering scum bag under the polite veneer.

Yep, Vicky is an alcoholic for sure.
 

Guerrero. A first-rate recap as usual, Darcy. Emma's pregnancy symptoms are awfully early, unles some time is supposed to have passed that we don't know about. I didn't have symptoms with my first pregnancy until I was at least 3 weeks along and suddenly felt nauseous as I passed a churro stand in Madrid. I still can't eat churros. Selena is almost like Sam's therapist. And Carlota gets ever more dangerous. She does need to go away for treatment before she kills someone.

It's funny Carlota thinks Jesus not learning the truth now will help. I wonder how many men used to get a surprise like that if parents wantedtheir mentally unstable daughter to get married. Carlota apparently does think no one loves her. Is this a result of neglect? Surely her biological mother could have been loving.
So Selina and Sam already got 'that' far? Or?
Why oh why couldn't those authors have come up with something more interesting than a teenage pregnancy. I'm angry because I just know we'll get 'we love each other and I'm going to have the baby and we'll be happy' speech.
Why is Augusto so insistent Carlota is a victim? Is this just because he doesn't want to bother with her or something else? I'm still waiting for a scene where Carlota sets herself on fire. How many episodes does this telenovela have?

SpanProf, I had the same thoughts about it being too early for Emma to have pregnancy symptoms but I just chalked it up to novelaland and shook it off. I don’t think time has passed .

Waterlily, they certainly implied Sam and Selena got that far but we didn’t see anything that would definitively say one way or another. I believe this has 120 episodes.

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 33 – Part 1 of 4

Elisia at the Grave

As Elisa is still wondering how Octavio’s knife got to the gravesite, she hears the voice of Augusto, looks like Elisa found the knife just in time because Augi would have found it that very night!! Instead, he finds flowers and realizes Elisa has been there again. He yells out that Elisa can’t hide forever, he’s going to find her AND her sons!! He tells Octavio that his family is not going to destroy them. He’ll see them buried under the ground with him first. Elisa, who was close enough to hear this whole dialog is just impacted by the fact that her sons are alive and Augusto Montalvo knows where they are – I mean it seemed pretty clear to me that he doesn’t know, but whatever. She has to find her sons!

Carloca and Jesus’s night of not quite passion.

Jesus goes to visit Carloca because he’s been told she’s going away for a few days and he wants to say goodbye. Carloca invites him to get comfortable and offers him a non-alcoholic cocktail because she knows he doesn’t like to drink. Jesus says how about a beer it’s been a long day. Carloca pours basically the whole jar of whatever herb in Jesus’s beer, and encourages him to drink it all even though she doesn’t even take a sip of her wine.

Carloca is able to get a drugged Jesus to the bed and even to get him to start making out with her passionately but it’s only because his drug addled brain is imagining Mariluz. Luckily, he doesn’t actually say Mari’s name, but he utters a whole lot of sweet nothings and promises of love thinking he’s talking to Mari. Carloca’s ultimate plan may have come to fruition if she hadn’t given Jesus enough to drug a horse but before much of anything can happen, he passes out cold!! LOLOLOLOL Carloca is down, but she’s not out! She decides that even if nothing happened, she’s going to make Jesus believe it did, she starts undressing him slowly. Jesus’s phone rings with Mari’s name but Carloca doesn’t notice. She’s too busy taking selfies with the now naked Jesus – I’m surprise she didn’t send them to Mari.
Carloca reads about how to get pregnant after making love which is strange since she didn’t make love. Jesus wakes up and freaks out as Carloca leads him to believe they did and tells him all the things he said to her before they made love. Jesus thinks back and sort of remembers, but he needs out of there! He clearly has a pounding headache and says this shouldn’t have happened. He needs to leave; they will talk later.

All during this time, Mari is nervousness. She has a bad feeling something is about to happen and she prays to the Virgin for Jesus’s safety. Mari waits for Jesus most of the night because I guess they planned to meet up but he doesn’t show and she gives up right before he arrives. Jesus is tormented by what he may or may not have done and he sighs out a desperate cry of Mariluz.

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 33 – Part 2 of 4

Domi’s visits by Sam & Damian

After they hear from Valero about Domi’s fall down the stairs, both Sam and Damian set off to visit Domi. Silly Sam uses the front door, and encounters Vicky and Iker in the front room. They are of course very rude to Sam and prevent him from visiting Domi. Sam tries to say he’s Domi’s friend but he is treated like crap by Iker and Vicky and when Iker calls him animal he attacks!!! (HEHE) Stupid smug Iker gets what he deserves.

Damian goes through the window, of course; and arrives to the image of his princess sleeping. He sits down beside her and whispers her name. When she awakens and attempts to be polite but brief. Damian asks if it’s really a lie that she doesn’t feel anything for him. Domi doesn’t answer at first and just as Damian is ready to give up and leave, she admits it’s a lie. She says what she feels is fear because she knows she’s falling in love with him.

An elated Damian gathers Domi up in his arms and careful tender kisses ensue. When the fight starts downstairs between Sam and Iker, Domi and Damian hear the noise, but not knowing it involves his brother, he convinces her to stay in the moment because what is happening there is important too. He puts on their song and they have a debate over who loves who more. Damian tells Domi he liked her since the first day he met her. Domi says no one can know about this yet. Damian asks if she’s embarrassed and she says of course not, she’s saying it for Samuel. She doesn’t want to hurt him. Damian doesn’t want to either but sooner or later he’s going to find out. Domi acknowledges this but says they have to find the right moment to tell him, Damian agrees.

Emma’s pregnancy scare

After Renata convinces Emma, she could be pregnant, they discuss what to do about the situation. There is a safe sex PDA given by the haughty Renata and the next morning the girls convince Mommy Dearest that they want to go out shopping for outfits for their next dance competition. Domi who is at the table with them is genuinely excited for her sister, the wicked witch barely pays attention but tells them they can go. The girls go to buy a pregnancy test instead and come home to take it. Emma has been so nervous and upset she’s not even taking Adrian’s calls. She takes the test and it comes back negative! Emma and Renata are so excited, they jump on the bed like kids. Adrian calls again and Emma excitedly picks up his call. She misses him so much she can’t wait to see him!!

Sam isn’t a beast!

After giving Iker a beatdown he deserved, Sam is back at the shop with Valero who is trying to bandage up is knuckles. Sam is upset because Iker called him a beast! He isn’t one! Maybe that’s why Domi doesn’t want him because she thinks he’s a beast? Valero basically tells Sam to forget about Domi and ignore Iker.

Iker and Carloca!!!!

Poor little Iker is so bruised and banged up that Victoriana asked him to stay in the guestroom overnight. He goes to look for Domi, but her door is locked and he finds a determined Carloca in the hallway instead. See, Carloca is still looking for a way to get herself pregnant, TONIGHT! And the moment she sees her sister’s now ex-fiancée she has a plan. They exchange a few nearly hostile words in the hallway about how Iker got dropped by Domi, but then Carloca follows him into his room and finds a much more willing bed partner than Jesus! Afterwards, she goes to her room and stands on her head because that’s what the google search said to do! LOL

Next morning, Domi is disappointed to see Iker at the breakfast table and is sure that he did something to get Sam to hit him. Iker and Vicky try to convince her it’s all Sam’s fault but she isn’t buying that at all. Vicky even calls all the Guerreros criminals. Iker makes the mistake of asking for Carloca and this triggers Augi’s suspicions but Iker says he only asked for curtesy.

Carloca’s Treatment

I was wrong about Carloca staying in the house, it appears she has to go to the Finca instead. She goes protesting, she doesn’t want to separated from Jesus or miss anything. Augi insists and Carloca only asks that the doctor and the nurse not touch her. For some reason, they continue to try to guide her by physically touching her even though she’s freaking out. They finally leave her to walk alone and we see Carloca in a bed and the doctor assuring Augi that she will be just fine.

Don Abel is going to visit his sister.

Jesus has decided to send Don Abel away for his own safety since Augi is now looking for him as the person who gave the money to the landowners. D. Abel is off to visit his sister and he has a fond farewell with the boys in the shop telling them to take care of themselves and each other.

Mari almost catches Isaia

Mari goes to look for Isaia at the bus station and he’s clear talking to wifey on the phone. Unfortunately, Mari gets just a little too close while trying to listen in and Isaia sees her before he says anything 100% damning. Still, I believe the seed is planted. Mari wants to tell Isaia something serious but he claims he has to work! He promises they can talk tonight at dinner. She warns him not to spend money on the wedding until they talk.

Vicky and Augi go another round over apologizing to Lupe for money

Vicky confronts Augi again about getting access to her accounts, but Augi tows the line. Vicky thinks Augi should be on her side since she is his wife and Augi says that’s just it; because she is his wife he’s responsible for her behavior. Lupe is the daughter of his nanny and an upstanding woman, what Vicky did could ruin her reputation and keep her from getting work and it’s not right. Besides, you know, Lupe is actually a GOOD mother, Augi throws in.

There’s also a scene where Domi finds momma going through Carloca’s room for money. She reasons since Carloca is out of commission she doesn’t need it but Vicky does. Domi says stop the madness, I’ll give you some money. But the amount Domi has to loan is not sufficient to keep dear Victoriana in the lifestyle she’s accustomed to so she leaves frustrated, saying forget it!

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 33 – Part 4 of 4

The Mass

There’s a big special Mass and most of our characters are there. Augi runs into Patricio again and they talk once more about a potential candidacy for Augi and Augi finally agrees to run for office. Jesus interrupts looking for Carloca but Augi explains she’s at some sort of spiritual retreat where cell phones are restricted (I think), Jesus is going to have to wait until Carloca returns.

Domi talks to the Priest and informs him that now that she is back, she will be taking charge of the Luiz-Montalvo foundation, she gives the Padre a donation. Padre says Domi is always so generous and kind.

Damian and Sam arrive and greet Domi together. Domi says hello to both of them but the way she looks at Damian isn’t lost on Sam. She may want to wait to tell him gently but he already knows.

Adrian and Emma meet up in a confessional, and for a moment I was scared these two would disrespect the church, but all they do is talk. She invites him to go with her to her friend’s party where presumable they can hang out together without worrying about being seen. The party is tonight.

Jesus and Mariluz also find a hidden place to talk, he gives her a bracelet meant to protect her. He asks about her dad and agrees to give him a job in the shop. If Dad knows about mechanics great and if he doesn’t, he’ll find something else for him to do at the shop.

Vicky’s grand public apology

In the middle of Mass, Vicky finally shallows her pride as her love for money overcomes her resistance. She interrupts the service and says she needs to make a public apology. She admits she falsely accused Guadalupe Garcia on the night on the festival (the look of shock on Lupe’s face was hilarious). She even admits she was the one reasonable for the Pazole that night!! Vicky looks so pained and uncomfortable, I love it!!!

Thank you, Darcy, it was fun to read your recap, as I'm mostly half watching when I do chores around the house.

I'm still not sure Emma is not pregnant, but if she's not, then her diabetes is not getting better, either. Not crazy about her puppy love for Adrian, I like her better in her scenes with Domenica or when we see her pain at her mom's negligence. Parent neglect is an important issue, one that many teens have to deal with, the show would win a lot by focusing on this.

Carloca will be pregnant, most likely, dragging Jesus into an unwanted marriage will be such a bore to watch. Haven't we seen this plot a million times before?

Happy to see Domenica and Damian together, isn't there anyone better available for Sam?
I don't get Fede either! Sure, he's a nasty piece of work, but he's handsome enough, I'm sure he can do better than BSC Victoriana.

O.S. - meant to thank you for your effort to translate Valero's words, I get most of them, but I have to pay very close attention. And the fun of these scenes is not lost in translation, you definitely capture their essence.

‘ Haven't we seen this plot a million times before?’ EXACTLY!! Never have I ever in all my life seen or heard of a woman faking or lying about a pregnancy in real life but it happens twice a week in novelas!!! Don’t they have any new ideas? The old staples are tried and true, but they are also just plain old!!
 

Guerrero. Another great recap, Darcy! Thank goodness Carlota's giving Jesus all 3 doses of the drug at once only knocked him out and didn't kill him. She just keeps getting crazier and crazier and more dangerous.

I was so glad when the test came out negative but it might be too early to celebrate the fact I won't have to suffer through this plot. I believe Augusto even said something about Carlota being very spiritual, which was just so genuinely funny. I love watching Victoriana failing to get what she wants. I actually can't see why she is so determined to make Lupe's life impossible. She is the wife after all and it doesn't seem that Augusto would leave her. She also gets to spend as much money as she wants and that's the only thing she is interested in. It's not like Augusto wouldn't be able to hide a mistress either so she can't be worried about a public scandal. Is'nt the actress who plays Carlota sick of having to portray the same character over and over? I've seen her in similar roles before and I haven't seen that many telenovelas.
