Abismo de pasión #19 4/5/12: Eduardo aches, Carmina fakes, Elisa breaks, and Florencia bakes

When it rains it pours: Also, Comcast is "being worked on" in my area and I was worried I might not have an internet connection later, or that my DVR would not record. This recap is from is from watching online so please let me know if I've gotten anything wrong or or missed something important. I'll be home late tonight and hopefully will get a chance to re-watch and check.
From Marta’s Recap: At Dr Inmundo’s office Medusa is putting up a whole Shakespeare tragedy act about being so unhappy, her marriage is falling apart… lies saying last night when ToadHead learned she talked to the doc, he got mad and violent with her… Dr Inmundo tries to calm her down… she turns to step 2 of her plan… they end up smooching… even if he resisted at first.
Tonight: Meany and Inmundo...it was only a matter of time. Major sucking face and she gets him to think it’s all his fault. She of the crocodile skin runs out of the office with crocodile tears. Well-played Carmina.
The fearsome foursome-on-horseback arrived home intact, though not with the best moods. Damian comments it’s really too bad things aren’t how they were before. Elisa watches Dam and Flo leave with tears in her beautiful eyes.
Inside Hacienda Harango, Florencia blabs to Fina about Dam’s old pals giving them a ride home. Fina manages to maintain her composure, her ferociously flitting fan being the only clue to her inner fury. When Flo leaves, Fina expresses her disapproval of Dam hooking up with these particular friends. He sez not your business.
Flip! There goes that fan again. Momster mentions she heard Dam was over at the procesadora writing a letter of recommendation for Lucio. “You got a problem with that?” he demands. Al contrario, mom’s thrilled he showed interest in visiting the family business. Dam’s on a roll, “It was a coincidence, but while we’re on the subject I’d like to talk about why Lucio is no longer working there. And then there is the subject of Gabino Mendoza.” “Sure, whenever you want,” she responds imperiously. Can’t tell if she’s nervous or triumphant. Her forehead ain’t sayin’.
Carmeany gets home and Lolita comments on her good mood. What gives? “Oh I dunno”, grins the Orange One, “after years of frustration I think that things are finally getting better for me.” Lolita’s just glad to see the missus happy instead of harpy for once.
Cut to Doc, pensive and sighing. He instructs Paloma to cancel all his appointments, he’s going home tired. (Hey Doc, ever boink an erupting volcano before? I just hope your family jewels are made of asbestos.) Sweet Paloma is worried he’s sick or something, but the cogs and sprockets start turning behind her gorgeous black eyes.
Elisa visits her padrino who is down in the dumps. No joy at the procesadora Santa Maria because he’s too old. “Not fair!” proclaims Elisa, “You want to work and my father is the opposite. He’s got the means and the business but not the inclination.” Lucio says he doesn’t need to work for the money, he *wants* to work, plus he’s feeling useless. Elisa comforts him with hugs and kisses. So sweet.
Blanca gets home and Lucio has to recount his failure again. “Just like you KNEW it would be!” he gripes to her.
Over at Ughusto’s fields of pain the boss is ripping Gael a new one for leaving work. Gael explains he was with Elisa surveying the las tierras. This gets Ughusto’s testes in a twist, he is SICK (estoy harto!) of Gael beating this dead horse. Estas tierras are not Gael’s business and stop putting ideas in Elisa’s head. Oh yeah? Well Gael is SICK of the boss not wanting to improve his situation, blah blah blah. Ughusto says if Gael is so unhappy maybe he should look for other work. Fine then, Gael will look for more gratifying work somewhere else.
Back at Hacienda Harango, Begona and the sprout are visiting Fina. While Fina gives the 411 about the upcoming fiesta Sabrina’s got her antennae up and buzzing, searching for Uncle Hunky. “Oh I already knew about the fiesta,” she brags, “PAOLO told me.” “No me digas,” smirks Fina. Sabrina says they met by chance and got along very well. (I’ll bet.)
Flo makes an appearance; today she’s dressed in a spiffy two-toned ace bandage with taupe band-aid accents. She elicits fried-egg stares when she asks if Gael and Elisa will be invited. Flip! go the fans, and Fina instructs Sabrina to take Flor for a walk around the garden. Begona asks Fina if she’s really going to invite Gael? “Hell no!” barks the fan of fury.
Out in the garden Flo complains about the heat. Sabrina says one gets used to it. “Yo no,” snips the city girl. Besides, she’s got other things on her mind. She asks about Dam’s friends Gael and Elisa. What are they like? Sabrina the bad witch doesn’t know since she never hangs with them. But Flo should know that Alfonsina doesn’t get along with them, especially Elisa. Flo asks why sobre todo Elisa? “What, you don’t know that Damian and Elisa were novios, they ran away together and that’s why Dam was sent to Italy?” (Don’t these girls know math? Wasn’t Elisa like 7 at the time?) Sabrina goes on to say that Elisa is the daughter of Stef Bouvier, the woman who ran away with Fina’s husband. They say that the daughter is even worse than the mother. Gasp!!!
Since Paloma got the day off early she decides to visit Elisa at her madrina’s shop. It was weird, she says, the doc was fine this morning, then all of a sudden he cancelled all his appointments and went home...right after Elisa’s stepmother came to see him. Now Elisa is worried, what if Carmeany has a grave illness? No, Paloma doesn’t think that was it, but they acted nervous and doc took off like a bat outta hell. Paloma leaves Elisa scared at this news.
Princess P confronts a gratuitously shirtless Damian. “Why didn’t you tell me you and Elisa were novios? How dare you introduce us as though there was nothing between you and that chica?” He tells her he has no idea what she’s talking about. Furthermore Elisa is no tipa and he demands that Flo show some respect.
Dam tells Princess P that he and Elisa were just kids along with Gael and Paloma. “Paloma, otra!” she sneers. Dam reassures her he and Elisa were mere children who both lost parents, had crappy home situations, and wanted to run away to a better life. Dam promises he only has eyes for his princess. Kiss and makeup.
For some reason Uncle Hunky and Horacio are lifting pints at the cantina. I think they just met and most likely Tio is treating Horacio to a cerveza. Horacio says he’s new in town and looking to put down roots. UnkaHunka leers a bit and says he could put roots down in this town because the babes abound. Horacio says he met one at the market, but she’s probably married and anyway, he is a penniless loser and she’d probably never go for him. Unkahunk tells him to man up! If you like it go for it! They toast to Horacio’s improved fortune.
Lucio is feeling all hang-dog and depressed. Blanca comforts him and reassures him he is rich with the love and respect of many people. She is proud to be his wife and his sadness causes her pain because she adores him. Awww.
Begona and Sabrina are walking home and Begona admits she’s not totally comfortable with Sabrina showing so much enthusiasm over some guy. “But Paolo is so awesome and handsome mom!” Uh, that doesn’t help. Beg looks at the bright side, surely he has as much or more money than the Arangos. (Ha!) She wants Sabrina to make sure no other pueblerinas win out over her daughter.
Unkahunk rides his penile extension up to Blanca’s shop just as Elisa is locking up. He says he’s been looking all over for her. Eh? She finally remembers bumping into him, “Oh yeah, see ya’,” she dismisses him. “Whatever happens, you will be mine,” he promises.
Elisa looks at Paolo like he is the hairball the cat just coughed up. “Suelteme!” she commands. He swears he didn’t mean disrespect, it’s just that she is the most beautiful blah blah blah. “I hate your whole family,” she says over her shoulder.
“Wait, I don’t know your name.”
“Ask Florencia!”
“Hey Elisa, I’ll give you a ride home,” hollers Ramona on her nightly cart ride.
Fina and Flo are doing the invites when Dam strides in and says he’ll be in charge of inviting Padre Lupe and Gael. This sets Fina off. Dam says he’ll invite anyone he wants to his party. “Next thing you’ll want to invite Elisa and the daughter of the curandera,” she sniffs. “Great idea mom!” After he leaves Fina assures Flo that Elisa will NOT be at the fiesta.
Elisa recounts to Ramona her encounter with the crazy guy. Ramona tells Elisa she has turned into a beauty just like her mom. Elisa wonders if that’s why everyone says mean things to her, because she reminds them of Stef. “No matter what people say,” advises Ramona, “always be proud of your mother.” Ramona is sure Stef wasn’t to blame for what happened. Elisa wonders if Ramona knows more than she is saying.
Begona gets home and babies the wimp Enrique who is spent from working. He wants to get another job. (Loser!) De ninguna manera, instructs mom, she’s sure things will get better. She finds out dad came home early and runs off to torture him.
Sabrina brags about going to Hacienda Harango. She tells her brother all about Dam’s fiancee and adds Florencia is totally Enrique’s type.
Eduardo feigns a headache, blue balls is more like it judging from the way he’s sitting. He asks Begona what does she think of him? Oh...hard worker, great doctor, good father, that’s about it, she sighs. Hmmmph, she didn’t say nuthin’ bout husband, he complains. They have all the trappings of a good life but something has been lost between them. ‘Oh piffle,” she titters, “we have an exciting party to attend this weekend.” Gee, I kinda feel sorry for the guy.
Elisa goes to Carmeany’s room. Even though Orangina’s rude Elisa tells her “I was just concerned about your health because you’re spending so much time at Doc Tovar’s”. She wonders if something bad is going on. Tia Orangina admits she’s been feeling awful and lies that the doc is running tests. Please don’t tell your dad, he’s got too many problems already. They form a tentative truce.
Unkahunk goes to Flo’s room to tell her he found the girl of his dreams. All he knows about her is that her name is Eleeeeesa, sigh. Mama mia what a bod! Flo snipes that Elisa’s nothing special, just an old friend of Damian’s. Tio gets his digs in and tells Flo to be careful, as much as Dam adores her this Elisa could be a temptation.
Dam goes to the rectory to do the invites. Gael says Padre is out and muchas gracias “Lic”, but no way is he going to the fiesta. Fina can’t stand him and ever since Damian came back Gael gets a similar vibe from him. Dam gets all up in Gael’s face, “What’s your problem?” They bump chests until Gael admits he was hurt because Dam never answered one of his letters. “What letters?” demands Dam. He was hurt that he was so easily forgotten.
They glare at each other and Damian promises he hasn’t changed. He is the same Damian that left all those years ago. Gael can think what he likes! He starts to leave but Gael stops him. Gael swears he, too, is the same as the boy he used to be, and puts his hand out. The two BFFs shake hands and revel in a long-overdue manhug. Finally!
Elisa goes to dad’s office to say goodnight. He wants to have a word about her mother’s land. Dad is sick of Elisa and Gael harping about the subject; he’s going to sell the land. “You can’t!” she shrieks. He asks why not? She gave the land to him. “Not for selling!” she cries. The land is the only thing of her mother’s that she has left, especially after dad destroyed all her pictures.
“If you love that land so much why don’t you live there?”
“Are you kicking me out?”
“See it how you want to.”
“I see that you are useless!”
Elisa rushes out of the house and yells at Lolita in passing that she is “sick and tired of this!”
Fina and Flo wander the dark rooms of Hacienda Harango like a couple of bloodsuckers. They wonder what is keeping Damian. Fina suggests if Flo is so worried she should just stroll over the the rectory and find Dam for herself. She can meet Padre Lupe at the same time.
The BFFs are yucking it up and going over old times. Gael reminds Dam about the amulets. Dam asks what is between Gael and Elisa. “Great friendship and affection, como hermanos,” he replies.
Padre Lupe arrives wearing a snappy white straw Panama hat and is thrilled to see the guys together. Dam says it’s late and they’ll talk tomorrow. We get another terrific Padre/Gael scene and Gael tells Padre about the fiesta. He says no way is he going to go, but wouldn’t it be a hoot if Damian invites Elisa and Paloma? Oh man that would pith off Padre’s sister. “Oh, and Padre, lose the hat,” he teases.
Dam finds Elisa weeping in the square. He assures her she can confide in him just like old times. She falls into his arms. “I’m tired of fighting against the current,” she weeps. She’s sick of her life since she lost her mama and she can’t take anymore!
And...here comes Princess Poop’s-gonna-hit-the-fan in super slo-mo with fire in her eyes and smoke coming out of her ears.

El Talismán #47 Thu 4/5/12 Rennie tells the truth, an arrest, and no Mariana yet.

We open with El Viral still saying she doesn't believe that Rennie only
married her for the money and she wants to talk to him herself.
The police capital tells Rita he knows she is a con artist along with Rennie and that he knows Rita is not Rennie's niece and he will be keeping an eye on them.
He leaves and El Viral decides she wants to ask Rennie if he really married her for the money, so El Viral, Tony and Cameela go back to the apartment and El Viral asks for the truth. Rennie finally tells her, yeah I just married you for the money and never loved you at all. El Viral just can't believe it. Rennie wants her to get out and take Tony and Cameela with her. El Viral says I am not leaving without my things. Well Rennie gets her things and tells her again to get out and never come back. She is really ticked off and decides this is HER apartment and she isn't leaving. Rennie says like heck, he admits that this is his apartment and not Rita's. They have to hold El Viral back from hitting him, she tells Tony and Cameela she is crazy to have believed Rennie and she is not leaving. Rennie tries to manhandle El Viral and Cameela comes to her rescue and he shoves them. The fight ends up in the hall and Tony knocks him out. The police capitan hasn't left the building and he has two officers arrest Tony. Rennie and El Viral are taken to the hospital.

in some serious trouble and Tony tells him, hey I'm a Negret and I'll be
out with the help of my lawyers soon. The lawyer meets with Tony and
Tony tells him it was self defense.
Margarito and his friend the other mover talk about Mariana. Margarito says Pedro should know about this so he can divorce Mariana and marry Cameela the love of his life. His friend asks him how he is going to find Mariana again. He doesn't know.

Tracey goes to see Geno to see if she has heard from Cameela. Geno says

Also Tracey and another lady are dusting F1 and F2's room, when Tracey happens to look at the computer screen, don't know what was on there, either porn or sex shopping stuff, anyway Doris hears them talking, goes to look at the computer screen and swears them into keeping quiet.
F1 and F2 are outside what looks like a Fredrick's of Hollywood shop and don't have the guts to go in. A friend of theirs comes by and asks what they are doing there. They lie and say looking for a job. The friend doesn't believe them.

complaining about her Uncle blah blah Mr Rich Guy tells Rita anything
for you Mi Amor and tells her he will pay for everything and gives her a
wad of cash. She gives him the stinkeye behind his back.
Meanwhile, Loocrazy and Pigorio are meeting about the will. Piggy wanted Tony to be there, but he can't be reached. Piggy tells Loocrazy oh, here is the will all notarized and legal and you and Tony get nothing capiche? She says yeah right, she believes Tony and will have this will investigated.

Geno has brought Cameela her things and Cameela and Army have camped out in El Viral's hospital room. Their Tia comes in the morning and commiserates with them.
They tell her everything that has happened.

(Oh, I forgot to add that the doctor tells Pedro he has heard from
Margarito and that he is fine and in LA. Pedro I think tells him that he
can't believe he abandoned Claudio all those years ago and I think he
wants to talk to Margarito and glad he is doing fine.)

La Que No Podía Amar #71 Wednesday 4/4/12 The special "short-term memory" episode with lines repeated over and over and over again
I will try to make this as short as possible, but I will probably fail as usual. I apologize for posting this so late, feel free to stone me :-).
At the Hacienda
Cinthia tries to convince Gus not to talk to Rogelio, since it’s not necessary, because she won’t say a word. Hearing that Cinthia will shut up made Gustavo’s balls shrink of all a sudden. It’s easy to pretend being a MAN, when the other MAN is missing, isn’t it? She says she has an offer for him.
Bruno tells Ana Paula that nobody knows where Rogelio is, therefore she doesn’t have to worry. Did he catch a cold? What’s up with his voice? Goes along well with his coldhearted way of being, I guess. I am so amazed by the wonderful parallel which I made, that I feel the need to scratch that and move on. Man, if you want a good advice, don’t go to Bruno. That’s like saying: Oh don’t worry, they just kidnapped him. Ana Paula can’t calm down; she is worried because she thinks they are wasting time while Mr. HotWheels might need their help. Bruno goes on saying that HotWheels is not used to giving explanations to anyone. Yeah right, he was so silent all this time with Ana Paula, that I almost mistook him for a mime. Bruno promises her that he will talk to Villafane, to see if they can search for him. Bruno tells Ana Paula that they need to talk about something else; he feels conflicted. I’m wondering if Bruno found out that I’m into conflicted guys and he tries to take advantage of this. But no, he is just conflicted because apparently he can’t be Miguel’s lawyer. Ana Paula tries to convince him that Miguel is guilty for not being able to control his addiction to alcohol, but he is incapable of killing someone, even less someone like Maripaz. Ummm…Ana Paula, not to be rude, but he did kill two people while driving, remember? Not on purpose, but he did it. Bruno says he can’t defend him because of ethics, since he is supposed to testify. QUE? Ana Paula can’t believe it. Bruno tells her that he saw Miguel discussing with Maripaz. QUE? X2 “They were shouting at each other.”
Back to Cinthia and Gus. Cinthia tells him what he told her – that the marriage between Ana Paula and Rogelio is based on a contract and that she obviously is in love with Gustavo. Gulp! He is not so convinced of Ana Paula’s feelings towards him. I think if we were to make bets, Gustavo would have 13/2 in terms of odds and Rogelio probably somewhere around 3/10. Cinthia continues to brainwash Gus, telling him that if Rogelio would find out about what they did to him, he would rather kill both than let them be happy. Yeah right! Watch out, we have a bad-ass over here! “I doubt he could do that, I am ready to face him!” Quick, someone give Gustavo the first episodes of the telenovela, where Rogelio is beating the crap out of his workers. Did you see that hand movement? ATTENTION! Entering level two of the “Kinky Zone”. No no…wait, I mean…the movement with the whip. With the whip! “Ha…you still don’t know my brother well!” And guess what, neither do you, Cinthia! I’m wondering if she actually believes what she’s saying. He would probably give Gus a beating, but killing him? Nah…
She offers him a solution in order to prevent all this from happening. All the folks in Viewerville are biting their nails wondering what she is going to say. Using Ana Paula as an example, she says they could do the same and marry with a contract. Gus is impactado.
Back to Bruno and Ana Paula. She wonders why didn’t he try to separate Miguel and Maripaz, if he saw them arguing, but he tells her he thought he shouldn’t interfere, since to him it seemed to be the typical fight between two lovers. “But of course, this doesn’t mean he killed her. However, I imagine you realize what such a declaration means in a trial.”, he continues. Ana Paula understands that he can’t defend Miguel. She says that he himself told her that the evidence is not too concluding, so if there aren’t any more evidences, they should let him go in 72 hours. Bruno remembers her that things are more complicated because of the other trial with the truck and the two people who died. Ana Paula is desesperada. But Sleazeball Bruno knows how to play his cards, so he promises her not to say a word about what he saw; he will do the impossible to get Miguel out. What a great time to step up his game…as if she isn’t busy enough by having to decide between Gus and Roger.
At la fonda
Macaria looks at her daughter’s picture on the wall; Ulises suggests they go home, but she doesn’t want to see Macaria’s room with all her stuff. He tells her they should go through this together, since he loves her very much. Macaria says she would rather die than feel that pain.
At la Hacienda again
Ana Paula is praying again. Attention everyone: New drinking game! Let’s drink every time we see Ana Paula praying. Oh wait…hold on. Ignore Alexandra the sinner! But seriously now, this is just too in my face; do I really have to see her praying all the time? Honey, this won’t make me like you more, I’m sorry. Besides, she’s a hypocrite. She would eat both Rogelio and Gustavo if she could, so she doesn’t impress me with her fake moral. But wait…praise the Lord! (sorry for the pun), Maria suddenly enters the room and tells her she has news of Rogelio. Ana Paula feels relieved, she asks where he is, but Maria has a weird look upon her face, as if Rogelio was in great danger.
Cinthia tries to convince Gustavo that it’s a great idea to marry having a secret contract, just like Rogelio and Ana Paula. And the award for most original idea goes to….Cinthia! “What are you talking about?” Huh…what don’t you get, Gustavo? Cinthia is anything but subtle, deducing what she wants is even easier than 1+1=2. Cinthia tells him they could marry so that she can get her herencia and then, when Paula will be free, they will divorce too and Gus will be able to follow her and be happy away from the hacienda.
Meanwhile, Paula is really worried, on the verge of crying and Maria tells her to calm down, because Rogelio is doing well. Gee, thanks Maria! I would have never guessed that with your funeral face! Maria tells her he went on a trip. Ana Paula is confused, but Maria doesn’t know either where he is; she says he didn’t want to say anything and that he just told her to tell Ana Paula not to worry. “But how could I not worry? He leaves, he doesn’t tell me where and when everything seemed to be fine between us, he didn’t even call me on the phone.” Oh yes dear, because you would have so many things to say to him; like, for example, the fact that your lover is right there at his hacienda.

She still tries to convince him that it wouldn't be a real marriage, but like the one between Rogelio and Paula. He is baffled that everything is so easy for her, but she really doesn't see any complication in this. They will only have to get married in a simple ceremony, then divorce after a year. Gus says he doesn't know what to say and she lets him think until tomorrow.

"Entonces fuiste tu!!" Genius, absolutely genius, Consuelo! So the guy starts his story by telling you that it wasn't him, yet you somehow deduced from his story that he was confessing the murder. He wants her to listen to him, but it's useless, she doesn't care even if it was an accident; if he killed Maripaz, she'll never forgive him. Consu leaves.

Rutilio tries to make Bruno confess that he is enjoying the current situation and that he'll gain some profit from it. Fortunately for him, he says, Ana Paula believed him, but they shouldn't have too much faith. "If she only knew how things actually happened.", Rutilio says. Another flashback. Maripaz runs after Miguel, tells him to stop drinking. He tells her to go back to her party. Mari tells him that she knows that Dani is pregnant thanks to the info provided by Ulises and thinks that Miguel is the father, but Miguel says that her father is wrong and that in fact Ana Paula is expecting Gustavo's child. Now we got at the same part that we saw in Miguel's flashback. Still don't understand why Rutilio appeared in MIGUEL'S flashback; they could have just showed Mari and Mig and let Rutilio appear only in his own flashback. Mari falls, Mig leaves and Rutilio sneaks from behind, grabbing her and trying to rape her. She struggles with him, calling him "Poco hombre!" (Scumbag, something like that) and he gets pissed, throwing her to the ground. Bruno appears at the scene. "Que hiciste, imbecil?" "Me? Nothing! She fell by herself!" Well, after telling Paula first, of course. Maria can't understand either why Rogelio did that, but they can't do anything about it.
Mercedes tries to call Ernesto, but she gets the voicemail treatment. "No puede ser! Where are you Ernesto?" Some of the eagle-eyed viewers will notice the big envelope placed on the ground, near the bed, which the camera zooms on. How subtle!
Meanwhile, Ana Paula sleeps in Rogelio's king sized bed...and who can blame her? That bed looks comfortable. She has a dream with her and Rogelio. He tells her he feels she is very nervous and asks her what's going on and if there is something she would like to tell him. "Rogelio...Rogelio, I will leave this place and maybe you will end up hating me!" "A ver, a ver, tranquila, tranquila. Why do you say this? I could never hate you! It's more than obvious that this scene wasn't meant to appear in a dream. I am sure they intended to continue the tormented protagonist between two lovers storyline. However, since Jorge Salinas couldn't film anymore because of his health, they just decided to cut this scene out and insert it in a dream. How ironic that she tells him for the first time that he loves him, but that she can't be with him and this is all happening in a dream. Ana Paula, Y U so cruel? Do the damn pregnancy test already. They mentioned her weakened state so many times, that it's not even suspenseful anymore, but plain ANNOYING!

Another day at the Hacienda
Dani tells Ana Paula that she can imagine what her friend felt when Cinthia discovered them, but Ana Paula feels relieved that Cinthia said she won't share this happy info with Mr. HotWheels. Dani says that even if Cinthia would want to do it, there is no way to do it for the moment, since HotWheels is nowhere to be found. Ana Paula wonders until when will he be gone, thinking that what's happening is very strange. Dani thinks maybe he left to leave her alone so that she can think better of the feelings she has towards him, but Ana Paula doesn't know. She just wishes him to be there with her, since she misses his support very much. "And Gustavo?" "Gustavo behaved incredibly with me also. The big grin on Vanesa's face is a clear indicator of how much the news of the imprisonment of Miguel affected her. "Not yet, but he will get out!" Vanesa says it's impossible, she asks him to let her check what happened and that she will get back to him later. Ana Paula asks what happened and Vanesa tells her that Rogelio is a miserable who pretends to ruin her, because the meat he sold her so that she can pack it to California is contaminated with clenbuterol. Efrain tries to convince Macaria that what happened between them had nothing to do with the death of her daughter, because the sole responsible is Miguel. Macaria says she should have never returned from Mexico City, waiting for her husband instead. Apparently, she returned to get away from Efrain. Efrain repeats the same thing again, that he is not guilty and that Miguel is to blame. He swears that if his patron will help Miguel get out, he'll make sure that Miguel will pay for what he did to Maripaz. "No, it's useless to have more violence...this has no remedy, my daughter is not with me anymore." Efrain suggests that they still continue with the relationship, since in time she'll forget about Maripaz. But Macaria is pissed with the idea, she drives him away.
At the Hacienda
Gustavo and Ana Paula cross paths, she wants to find out everything what happened with Cinthia, but he doesn't want her to have another nervous crisis, so that's why he went straightly to Villafane to find out more about Miguel and apparently, there aren't any evidences against him. Umm and what does this have to do with Cinthia? She asked him one thing and he told her something else. Ana Paula is happy to hear the good news and he tells her he'll continue to take care of the matter. Apparently, he got in touch with a lawyer to find out what else can be done. He'll also see what he can do with the water, so that she won't have this problem anymore until Rogelio comes back. She thanks him and he replies that he just wants her to know that she is not alone. "I know it and I feel very bad for this whole situation, for us, for Cinthia, for Rogelio!" "Ana, this is not the best time to talk about us..." "That's right, you know how I feel! But we have to do it! "Yes...I am just asking you to think things well. Don't you really think that we can fix our relationship?" She pushes gently his hands off her womb and she places her hands there (bad vibe, bad vibe!) , saying that she doesn't know. He tells her that he hopes she will think seriously about it, because on her answer depends his life and every decision he takes. He hopes that now that Rogelio is away, she can realize what she truly feels. "You have to define yourself, we can't go on like this forever." "Why? Why? What's going on?" UMMMMM what do you mean WHY? Ah so you would like to go on like this forever? Harem del Fuerte male version? Seriously...

Why is he surprised things did not go so smooth?)
Flo: oh I think your friend … left… (Naah! She just went to use the potty… she will be right back to slap you silly… Elisa style)
Dam is totally unsettled… lying through his nostrils about being so happy to see Flo here.
Out on the streets of La Ermita, Paolo and Elisa literally bump into each other, Elisa is still upset/unsettled about Flo, while Paolo is instantly smitten by Elisa’s looks… but she does not give him time to even blink… she is gone and someone could blow on him and he would fall down…
Back inside Hacienda haranguo

Dam finds out Paolo came along with Flo… yup, Dam, Uncle McBratt is here too.
Back at Castanon manor, Lolita ( I want that blouse! It is so cute! With flower and butterflies detail and the scoop edge trim..) finds a very upset Elisa… Elisa just found out Dam has a girlfriend and she arrived from MexCity today… its as if Damian did not want to tell he had a girlfriend, as if he wanted to hide that little detail (Give the girl a golden star!!) Lolita gives Dam the benefit of the doubt (no way he could tell you all about his life in two short meetings… or maybe his girlfriend is not so important… Elisa says it is if they are about to marry… and the way they kissed…Elisa remembers his line ‘fell for a girl I know since we were kids’ and thinks he referred to Flo, not to her. Elisa calls herself dumb for having accepted going to Fina’s hacienda (well, there you are right, sherlock!) (Lolita certainly knows her niña, she can read her like a book)… Elisa wants to go to bed… Lolita keeps encouraging her…
Once Lolita leaves Elisa rips her necklace off… then looks at it and cries…
Back to Hacienda Huarango… BotoxQueen and Princess Poop talk very leisurely while Dam, sitting behind Princess, is totally lost in his own thoughts (of Cinderella? of how he misses the smell of horse poop?)… The women talk about Guido being a workaholic… Princess holds Dam’s hands, like claiming territory.
Tio Paolo comes in and sits right beside BotoxQueen, seems he is not wasting time to begin his courting plan… but then mentions ‘this girl’ he ran into… (oopsie, don’t go there McBratt, that is taboo at BQ’s house) BotoxQueen says there are no girls in this town that are anywhere as pretty and worthy as the girls in Italy…
Back to Castanon manor… Orangina is in purple nightie ready to give ToadHead a night to remember… she begins to slurp him all over… he is not in the mood… know I am a woman? Still young and still needing a man… do you need a woman every now and then? … No, I don’t need anything… with Estefania you would not be in this mood… well, too bad she is not here to find out… Medusa is all over the poor imbecile… he looks like a Mummy… Medusa changes strategy, proposes he closes his eyes and imagine he is with Este… ALMOST… but no cigar, Medusa… he started to respond but you went too fast and he woke up from the nightmare… ‘I can’t imagine you being Estefania… if I did, I would probably kill you’. Toadhead leaves Medusa hot and messy screaming she will never forgive him..
BotoxQueen keeps giving Princess Flo the red carpet treatment… she is happy Flo came to town so the whole town sees that my son is engaged to you… Princess Flo tells BQ that when Dam arrived from the street he came with a girl. After Flo describes the girl to BQ, she says surely it was a girl friend from his childhood years… you have nothing to worry about… (wanna bet??)
Paolo arrives at the stables in his latest toy, a motor bike, and Dam is not in the mood… Paolo says there are no horses, what is the problem with this ‘beauty’ to spend the night in the stables? … McBratt brags about the ‘chulada’ expensive bike, but that is what money is for, to fulfill your wishes. Dam would prefer to ride on a horse than on ‘this’. Dam drops the bomb on McBratt, he and Flo are not planning to live here… McBratt tells Dam Flo has never liked the idea of living in the fields… McBratt then changes the subject to ask Dam about the ‘mujeron/chulada’ he ran into today… and with each word he describes Elisa with, Dam turns a notch redder and madder… and the punch line… ‘if I am going to be in this town, at least I need someone to entertain myself with’… (and Dam has heard enough) Dam warns McBratt that women here are much more conservative than the women he is used to dealing with in Europe. You could tell these two have no love lost for each other… ‘ay, nephew, it shows that you do not care at all about the idea that I came along with my niece’
At Castanon manor, Elisa is trying to sleep, then gets up and puts the necklace back on after kissing it, back to bed to dream of the owner of the other one…
Back at Mex City Kenya is looking for Paolo and runs into a jogging Guido… Guido tells her Paolo left on a trip… Kenya is upset… she is only 17.. she is in a serious problem and only Paolo can help her… Guido can guess where this is going.. and so can we.
At Hac. Haranguo… again red carpet treatment for future daughter in law… BQ wants to make a huge party to celebrate their engagement, all the ‘important folks’ in this town should attend… She will convince Guido to come for the event. Workaholic…
At Castanon Manor, Elisa tries again to get ToadHead to share his feelings and his problems with her… this time the problems are financial… about to deliver the last crop for Santa Maria folks… Elisa tries to bring back the subject of restarting the green house fields…ToadHead guesses right it was Gael who insists… you don’t want to do it because they are in my mother’s name, and you have tried to destroy anything that has to do with her all these years!!... then I will give the lands to you so you can put them in your name!... ToadHead says you and your mother are the same… noone has to give me anything!! (this MEMORABLE father/daughter chat is interrupted by door bell.. it is Damian…).
So we get a highschooler boy girl argument… he realizes she is upset and jealous of Flo … she is mad, does not admit to anything, no reason to be mad… (yeah right!)
They pull out the claims on not being fully open with each other about ‘your novia’/ ‘your relationship with Gael’ ‘I have heard it around town’ ‘what else have you heard about me?’ (this new ENJOYABLE conversation is interrupted by ToadHead who, after learning who is talking to his daughter, joins the long list of hostile welcomers that Damian has had to face since arriving in town… ‘what are you doing in my house? What the heck do you want with Elisa? I don’t want you to ever look for her. I want you to leave my house for good! If your mother does not want anything to do with my family, I feel the same way!’ then ToadHead turns to Elisa and turns up the hostility, go to your room! You have forbidden any type of relationship with this man! .. GO!!
Dam: You don’t have to yell at her!
TH: I can treat my daughter as I please!
Dam: It was I who came looking for her. And nothing you or my mother can say or do to prevent your daughter and I from continuing our friendship.
TH: Elisa does not need your friendship. And I don’t want you to look for her again. IF you do, I assure you you will regret it.
(Dam leaves quietly but giving killer looks at TH)
Lolita is at the fresh produce market buying some stuff and Horacio approaches her, tells Lolita he is looking for a job… She gives him an apple after he says has no money and he happily carries her purchases…
Guido calls Paolo to berate him about Kenya… Since Paolo is with Flo and BQ, he fakes it… BQ gets on the call and tells Guido about the party she is planning to announce the engagement. Guido will come… BQ: Do you have an issue with your brother, Paolo? (nooooo! Everything is honky dory!)
Elisa and ToadHead argue about his attitude toward Dam… did not have to be aggressive… Now it seems I should have rolled the red carpet for him!... you who have always criticized Alfo Haranguo, you are acting just like her!!... I will just tell you that If you keep seeing that boy I will have to take stronger measures you won’t like!...
In town, Lolita keeps building friendship with Horacio… Braulio and Tonia run into them and Braulio is curious beyond reasonable about Horacio… Tonia is upset that Braulio cares so much.. about time la Lola found a boyfriend, don’t you think?
ToadHead appologizes to Medusa about last night… understand there are times you can’t force it (well, it doesn’t matter if you use force or not, it is hopeless, I think. Even his face is paralized).. Medusa insinuates that it is sad that there are others who do value and love her … this gets ToadHead’s attention… noone in particular, but there are many men who would want her as a woman… I don’t doubt it… (and you could care less, right?)
BQ continues talking to Princess Flo about the guests to the party… what about the infancy friends of Dam? (… BQ changes the subject instantly…) .. you will get along well with Sabrina, my friend Begona’s daughter… whom you can spend time with when Damian is not here… no, BQ, forgive me, but if we are getting married, Dam will have to get used to be with me.. not the other way around (wanna bet, porcelain princess?)
Dam arrives… they tell him about the engagement party… BQ will take care of it all… don’t say anything.. (this is a dictatorship, don’t you remember, Damian? … man, Damian’s facial expression is priceless!!) .. you have to take Flo around town, you have been neglecting her… sure…
Elisa comes to Blanca’s shop, Blanca is worried, Lucio went to turn in the recommendation letter… and she is worried about what he will hear…
Gael catches Elisa at Blanca’s shop and Elisa tells him that she found out the lands are still in her name. But forget it. I tried again with my dad and there is no way to convince him. Gael insists… comes up with an idea… come with me, I will show you.
Just as we were afraid of, at Santa Maria Processadora, Lucio gets the turn down and gets angry. He does not like being tricked and given the run arounds… Should not have made me waste my time!.
At Procesadora, BQ arrives and Gabino tries to give her his side of the incident with Damian and Lucio… BQ is glad that Damian was so authoritative.. but you can rest easy, my son has other plans, not to stay at the head of the procesadora… for now!...
Gael is showing Elisa the remains of the greenhouse.. All the lands around are being farmed, put to good use.. except these… Elisa says its no use with her dad. Gael says we have to find the way… She closes her eyes and remembers her mother saying she would love to see the habaneros shipped around the world… Elisa tells Gael she will make it work!... Now Gael is the pessimist.. need money and you need to know about growing habaneros! Elisa tells Gael he can teach her.. he is positively amused at her excitement with the project but brings her feet down to earth… Elisa says they can ask for a loan, have to try at least.. my mom had many dreams about these lands, and I want to make them a reality.
Elsewhere in fields another optimist soul, Dam, is showing Flo the crops and telling Flo about the fields, about their procesadora shipping the habaneros around the world. She does not get why so much emotion in his words (why he is so excited about the subject) HE says he always loved to see the lands farmed…
Dam: know what? When we were kids my friends and I used to play and run around these fields.
She is totally unamused and is feeling hot, so she wants to go now…
Too bad, Princess poop, the truck won’t start… they will have to wait or walk to the road to get a ride…
In town, in front of her business ‘un toque de amor’… Sabrina is talking to another girl, Paolo arrives in his motorbike and the girls drool about him… he introduces himself to both girls… just arrived… my niece is Damian’s fiancee… he is finding a place to eat… Sabrina gets on the back of his bike… they leave the other girl behind alone… DUH!
At Dr Inmundo’s office… Medusa arrives… Paloma asks what is wrong, she has been sick a bit often lately… Bright white teeth face Dr Inmundo as he walks out a patient… and Medusa goes in his office… Paloma bites her teeth…
Princess Poop and Dam are walking down the dirt road.. Gael and Elisa come riding horses…
Dam asks Gael if he and Elisa can give them a ride to town.. Both Elisa and especially Gael seem miffed about the idea… Princess Poop walks forward and introduces herself as Damian’s girlfriend.. no, fiancee… Gael is instantly amused. Elisa rolls her eyes looking away. Princess Poop claims territory by grabbing Damian’s hand…
Damian introduces Gael and Elisa as his childhood friends ‘even if they don’t consider me as such’… Princess recalls the name Elisa as the girl who was with Dam when he arrived home last night.
Dam asks Elisa if he can ride along on her horse. Flo can go with Gael..
El: The horse is not mine. Why don’t you ask Gael? (Gael nods in approval)
Dam: Since I arrived in town, I have been dying to ride a horse… you don’t mind, right Gael?
Ga: As a matter of fact, I do… see, Conejo gets uneasy with strangers but he knows Elisa well. (Dam’s face is priceless!!)
Prin: Is he wild/dangerous? will he throw me?
Dam tries to help Flo get on Gael’s horse.. Gael won’t let it happen.
Dam suggests he will ride with Elisa and Flo with Gael… Gael has other ideas… Flo his fiancee will ride with Elisa, and Dam will get on Gael’s horse.. (Lic’ … is that short for Licenciado? Or is there another meaning for ‘lic’? I remember Gael calling Dam ‘mi lic’ at their first meeting as adults)
(the whole facial expressions and body language between Gael(dealer/daring), Damian(not amused in the least) and Elisa(not a happy camper, shooting daggers from her eyes toward Princess Poop) is priceless in this scene. It was funny how Gael, being the owner of the horses, knew he had control of the stare/dare game and acted on it.)
Sabrina arrives home to tell Gossip girl all about her meeting with the most gorgeous guy Paolo. And tells her about the party BQ is planning… But of course we will be invited! I have VIP frequent-fly-on-the-wall status with Alfonsina! (don’t know if you should be bragging about that, Gossip queen)
At Dr Inmundo’s office Medusa is putting up a whole shakespeare tragedy act about being so unhappy, her marriage is falling apart… lies saying last night when ToadHead learned she talked to the doc, he got mad and violent with her… Dr Inmundo tries to calm her down… she turns to step 2 of her plan… they end up smooching… even if he resisted at first.
