Corazon salvaje May 13, 2010 The Green-eyed Monster Finally Raises its Ugly Head
Regina is reading what she wrote in her diary.
Aimee is trying to convince Renato what a ho Regina is. Renato says it’s none of their business.
Juan and the crew are out at sea looking for our missing fisher folk. Gabe thinks they might have found an island. Remi has spied something. They found them! They found them!
Rod is grilling Raul about what the heck is going on with Juan showing up at the party.
It’s Santos and the Other Guy. But no Pedro. He wants to get closer but they can’t so he whips off his shirt and dives in. Now that’s my kind of man!
Rod wants to know why he gave his invite to Juan. How is it possible that he could get your invitation. Well, I owe him a special favor. What kind of favor? He takes a big gulp. I was to warn him about something. A light goes off in Rod’s head and he says about the wood? You are so busted dude. Rod is not very happy about it. Well, you are about to lose everything. FF>>
Juan is swimming toward the raft. He pulls them toward the boat. What a man!
Regina is going through her jewelry. How she does that with lace gloves I don’t know. She remembers back to when she made Aimee promise that she would be faithful to Renato. She takes her pendant and leaves.
They get the guys onboard and are trying to give them water. They are moaning and groaning. Juan wants to know what happened. Santos croaks out that there was something wrong with the boat. I think he says something else but there is too much noise. Juan wants to know why they didn’t tell him they were having problems. Curly wants to know where Pedro is. He fell into the ocean. More really bad moaning and groaning.
Aimee is going through her jewelry. Regina walks in holding her pendant. She asks Aimee if she remembers the necklace. Aimee says yes. Renato gave those to us when we were children. Regina says she will keep it always. She asks Aimee if she remembers the night that she swore that she would be faithful to Renato. We are married and you are in love with my husband. My husband. Renato is happy. Very happy at my side. Renato walks in. Aimee hams it up. She wants to ask him a question. Are you happy with me? Renato says immensely. Regina looks like she wants to barf. Hey, welcome to the party.
Servando is giving Gris some coins. She’s not real happy with the amount. Did Servando’s eyebrows get bigger? I’m so distracted by them I can’t focus on what he’s saying. Oh yes, he’s saying that Branco is interested in Jimena. I swear Gris’ eyes are going to pop out of her head. She doesn’t look happy. I’m not going to allow it. We are not going to lose her. Servando cautions her not to be stupid. He thinks it is a way for them to make even more money.
Renato wants to know what Regina has in her hand. He takes it from her and says it is the medallion I gave you. He makes a snide comment about how some gifts are important to Regina. Aimee gets her back up and stomps out. He hands the necklace back to Regina.
Jimena comes running back with the laundry. Branco is with her. Gris wants Jimena to show him around. Jimena is surprised. Go, go and have fun. Hmmmm.
The sheriff is happy to see Rod and informs him that the fisher folk will no longer be a problem. They are probably dead. Again Rod bitches about the Salvaje.
On the boat of said salvaje, Juan is trying to find out what happened. Apparently there was a hole in the boat. Juan thinks it is very strange. Santos says that the only thing strange that he remembers is the night before when they were all talking and they heard a noise but didn’t see anything. That would explain it says Juan. Of course he blames it on Rodrigo. Well, who wouldn’t?
Back in Noel’s office Noel is reading some kind of letter or telegram. Apparently all the associates are finally going to get together when Juan Aldama De La Cruz gets there. Dun, dun dun! You know this is going to be good. Noel thinks he needs to get in touch with everyone. He grabs his hat and cane and hurries out. He reminds me of the Penguin but a lot cuter.
Raul got a note from Alberto. He thinks to himself he hasn’t heard from him in a long time. He remembers when the little girl disappeared. He’s going to write him right away and let him know that he is welcome in this house. There’s a knock on the door. It’s Noel. This should be good. Noel cuts right to the chase and says he received a cablegram from Don Juan Aldama de la Cruz who will be arriving pretty darn quick. Raul looks uncomfortable.
Abuelo (aka Alberto) is talking to his daughter and wife. Alberto is sure that Raul will be able to help them. Abuela comforts her daughter that they will be seeing Angela soon. The daughter cries and say it has been so many years.
Branco and Jimena are in the market. Branco buys some flowers for Jimena and surprises her with them. She is pleased and doesn’t know what to say. He wants to talk about their future. He leans in for The Kiss but she turns away. Please no. He is frustrated. He apologizes but he says she knows how he feels. He’s only known her for about a week so I’d say he’s pretty optimistic. He promises her that she will forget Gabe. Well, that’s settled then.
Juan and Gabe are working on something. Well, at least Juan is. Gabe is staring off into space mooning over Jimena. Ha, you snooze you lose. That’s what I say. Juan is trying to figure out how to find Pedro. He looks on the map and sees there is a little island. Do you think that?…He notices Gabe is not paying attention. What is your deal Gabe? Are you thinking about Jimena? He’s thinking about Estrella and Jimena. He has dreams about them. Juan looks interested. He laughs. Ok, we’ll talk about this later. You need to listen to your heart. I’ve told you a thousand times that Jimena and I are friends. And besides, she’s a gypsy. Would you rather lose Estrella? Or Jimena? Gabe doesn’t understand. Well, there’s a surprise. Juan says we’ll talk about this later. I need you to help me find Pedro. Remi comes in. Juan asks him if he found anything. He shakes his head. Nothing. He thinks he is lost at sea. Juan disagrees. He is alive and we will find him. Gabe and Juan go back to looking at the map.
At the Finca Orca is pondering what secrets does Rosenda guard. Hmmmmm. He has a much better secret. The letter from Constanza that names Leo as her killer. He opens the drawer and takes out the book where he has hidden the letter. Oh noes! It’s gone. He starts tearing stuff up. Where can it be, where can it be? He thinks Rosenda’s got it. Rosenda looks shaken. She has a drink. Frankly, those dresses look really uncomfortable.
Back on dry land, Juan orders Gabe to go for the doctor. All hell is breaking loose. Noel runs up as the guys are getting our castaways off the boat. As he leans over Juan he recognizes a mark on his neck. My God! He has the birthmark of the family Montes de Oca! Dun, dun, dun! That is much more excitement than I can stand. Out of nowhere, Noel starts screaming that Juan is Juan de Dios San Roman. Uh oh, looks like the cat is out of the bag. Noel looks ecstatic. You are the son of Juan De Dios San Roman and Maria Del Rosario Montes de Oca. Juan looks confused as always. Bless his little heart. No el tells him they need to talk. Juan has to find Pedro first. Noel understands but he wants Juan to come find him.
Orca is manhandling Rosenda again. Where is my letter? What did you do with my letter. Rosenda doesn’t have a clue what he is talking about. He looks like he’s going to punch her and she tries to run away. She pleads with him. She doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He grabs her arm. We almost have another wardrobe malfunction. Dude, he is so creepy and he is definitely BSC. Leo walks in and saves the day. Let her go, let her go. What is going on. He’s looking for something and I don’t know what he’s talking about. He tells Leo that she’s been skulking around down in the basement. Leo does not look happy about that. Rosenda tries to explain but Leo gives her a good smack. She grabs her by the hair and tells her to get out. Orca says that the letter from Constanza is missing. Leo thinks maybe there never was a letter. Orca says, oh yes there was. She thinks maybe he made it up. He says no, I had it in my hand. It looks like he’s not going to be able to blackmail her now is he? Hmmm, I seem to recall you told everyone MdR was your wife. You’ve dug your own hole dumbass. She taunts him some more and leaves.
Jimena is shaking her groove thing with Branco. Oh lookey, there’s Gabe and he looks pissed. As Branco dips her for the finale Gabe intercedes. He demands that Branco let her go. Jimena is surprised. Pushing and shoving ensues. Jimena gets in between them and urges them not to fight in public. Branco gets lippy with him saying she is a gypsy. You have to right to her. He tells Gabe to get lost. Gabe says he’s not going anywhere. Jimena urges him to go. Gabe walks away but comes back to kiss her hand. Branco thinks Gabe is a big looser. Jimena thinks that perhaps Gabe is jealous. You think? It’s about friggin’ time.
Noel is walking along enjoying a nice day when who should he run into but Rodrigo. Great. There goes the day. Rod notices that Noel is all flustered and wants to know what’s up. Noel mysteriously says that the past is about to return. Rod says for once in your life speak plainly. You, know he does have a point there. You better be prepared. Rod doesn’t understand anything. (Good then it will be a surprise.) It will happen sooner than you think. Rod still doesn’t get it. Noel gives him the cablegram and Noel says this is from Juan Aldama de La Cruz. He’ll be here on the next boat.
Juan is helping Santos. He’s ok he says. They went for the doctor. The guys start telling all about the adventure with the sharks. They didn’t tell him however, what a dumbass Other Guy was for jumping in the water with them. Jacinta comes running in looking for Santos. Juan stops her because he doesn’t want him getting all upset. She cries. She was really worried about him. I told you to ask Juan for help. They didn’t want to bother him with their problems. Now they need to find Pedro. Tell me where he is. Think.
Regina went to the priest to tell him that her reputation is in jeopardy because she was protecting another. He wants her to tell the truth. You know Aimee won’t listen to anything. But truth is like the foam on the ocean, always floating. I don’t really get that.
Renato is looking for his dad. Noel has something important to tell him. My son, very soon you will know the truth about this family. And the BIG SECRET. Renato doesn’t understand. There’s a surprise. Noel has called for Clemencia. He tells Renato he needs a moment with Clemencia. Renato leaves. He asks her if she knows the BIG SECRET. She plays dumb for a second. That Juan is the son of Maria Rosario. She smiles at him and says yes, I know. I know that Juan is Juan de Dios San Roman Montes de Oca. Can you imagine being in school and having to write that whole thing? Ack!
The doc is taking care of the two guys. They will be ok. We have to go look for Pedro. Other Guy thinks it will be dangerous. Juan doesn’t care. He’s got to find him. The doc and the Other Guy convince Juan to wait until morning. Juan says they will set out as early as possible. We will look everywhere. We won’t abandon him.
Clemencia is telling the story about Juan. First there were the gardenias on the tomb of MdR. Then one day she went there and saw Juan. When I saw the mark of the Montes de Oca I knew that it was him. We talked. We cried. Noel thinks maybe that he came back for the inheritance of his mother. Clemencia assures him that he doesn’t care about money. He doesn’t want one cent of the Montes de Oca money. He came back for only one reason--vengence. Noel looks stunned. He is after the person he blames for the death of his parents. Noel thinks this can’t be. I won’t permit it. I will make him abandon this idea. Clemencia says well take a number and stand in line. He assures her that he will convince him.
Speaking of MdR, she is holding her new baby which I think is much more realistic than the rag baby. Finally she has found her son. She won’t permit anything else to happen to him. She rocks her baby. FF>>
Juan is telling Remi and Gabe about Noel figuring out who he is. He’s worried. Remi wants to know what he’s going to do. It’s about time that Rod knows who he is. The ruin of Rodrigo Montes de Oca is close. He will know that I ruined him completely. There’s a knock on the door. It’s Noel (big surprise) grinning like a Cheshire cat. Noel needs to talk to him. Gabe and Remi skedaddle out of there to give them some privacy. They are happy to see each other. Noel is upset that Juan didn’t trust him to tell him who he really was. He had to keep it a secret for his own reasons. I have been thinking of you all these years. He wondered if he was a good kid, and a great man. He looks like he’s about to cry. Clemencia ratted you out by telling me what your plans are. Noel can’t believe it. I know. I told Clemencia. It is almost finished. Then it is true. You came back for vengence.

Dinero #97 & 98- 5/13/10: The Head Knows What the Stomach & Heart Don’t and Ale Has Some Heart-to-Heart Talks
“You want it? You miss it? Have it then.”
“Nope. You can throw it in the trash.”
“No. I won’t do that till that woman is definitively out of your life.”
She lets him know she will be there the next day with her camera to take a picture of him with his shiny new trophy. And if he won’t man up and send the picture to the folks at Siglo to rub it in their faces, she will. She storms out just after Jaime has come in. With some quick thinking, Jaime almost manages to not be seen by Vicky. She does, but is too annoyed with Rafa to torture Jaime tonight and leaves. Jaime heads to Rafa’s room where he sees the trophy and celebrates in the way Rafa should be, yelling “goal!” and striking Rafa’s happy pose. Rafa’s not happy that this win came at the expense of Alejandra’s job. Jaime reminds Rafa of the embargo Ale put on his house and sarcastically offers Rafa a hanky to cry into. He psychs Rafa up by telling him this is the start of a great battle!
Marco has meanwhile come back from the brink of madness and is apologizing to Ale for freaking out about her seeing Medina. “I don’t want to lose you over a stupid argument. I’m sorry. Forgive me. His name coming out of your mouth drives me crazy. Alejandra, te amo.” A few more te amos, and a kiss (which she hesitantly accepts) later, and Ale seems willing to accept Marco’s apology. But she’s happy to see him leave so that she can sneak the photo of her and Rafa out of her drawer and stare at it lovingly. “I don’t know why I can’t stop thinking about you.”
The next morning, Jorge is too depressed about Rubi to eat. He admits that his head wants to return to normal, but his stomach obviously hasn’t gotten the memo and he has no appetite. He locks himself in his room, and Rosario and Ale realize that in order to assure he stays in good spirits and therefore in good health, the White Monster (aka The Love Nurse) will have to be brought back. Ale makes the call to Marco and Marco calls Rubi. When he gets off the phone with Rubi, Chavez wonders if he’s not playing with fire bringing Rubi back, given what she and Marco almost did in his apartment. “She could blackmail you.” (He really doesn’t know our Rubi). Marco wants to know if Chavez prefers that the old man kick the bucket. Chavez does not, but he does want to know how things went with Marco and Ale the night before (obviously having one of his little Ale fantasies again). Marco admits that they had a little argument about her seeing Rafa and Chavez chews him out for being so stupid. Everything that Ale says Marco needs to agree with. “Even if Ale asks, would it bother you if she slept with Medina? You say, no.”
Chavez barely gets this scenario out of his mouth before Marco jumps on him, choking him in a crazy jealous rage. He’s obviously not going to be able to follow Chavez’s advice. After prying Marco off him, Chavez asks if Ale mentioned the embargo on Rafa’s house. The fact that she didn’t means that Rafa didn’t tell her, and they can do it again this month when Rafa surely doesn’t show up with the payment at 6pm. The thought of throwing Rafa and his family out of their home brings Marco out of his funk.
Over at Siglo, Marino (why do I always want to write Moron?) is already acting like the lord and master and is after the sales team for coming in late. Once he’s the boss, he wants them in by 7:50 so that they can start working promptly at 8 am. He starts yelling at all of them, but his yelling is even less effective than Ale’s. They all look at him dubiously, except Zetina, who is taking Marino seriously. Ramirez orders him to bow to his new master (literally) and Zetina almost does until Bebe puts a stop to the madness and pulls Zetina away.
Bebe is so incensed by all this Marino nonsense that he vows to make sure that Ale isn’t fired. He goes to talk to Beltran and waits patiently for him outside his office. Ale sees him and can’t convince him to let it go, but Beltran is too busy to speak to him right now. He’s close to securing Ale’s replacement. Bebe decides to wait for as long as it will take. Ale looks on sadly, goes into her office with Susana, and proceeds to freak out in usual Ale fashion. Susana doesn’t understand why she’s losing it, as she knew this was coming. Ale explains that her head knew this was coming, but her heart wasn’t prepared. She admits what an important role Siglo has played in her life and that she’s going to miss it. “I want to cry”, she tells Susana. “Cry then. Get it out.” Ale bawls.
Outside of Ale's office, Marino and Ramirez continue to count their chickens before they hatch and plot their reign of terror over the Siglo Sales Team; the Team continues to be horrified at the thought of being managed by Marino and his toady Ramirez; and Dandy can only think of possibly losing his Nonita (his little noni- Susana). He stares at a picture of her and caresses it.
Back in Ale’s office, Susana is shocked that not one of Ale’s colleagues in the car sales business have called her to wish her well in this time of need. Ale assures her that that’s how this business is. There are no friends; only competitors. And it’s all about money. She is sure no one is thinking of her. Which is completely wrong, because at just that moment Rafa is thinking of her. He asks his boss if he can get his paycheck in two separate checks. One in the amount he owes Ale, and the rest for himself and his expenses. His boss is shocked to see how much Rafa will be putting aside to pay off a debt, and wonders if Rafa is maintaining a luxury home in Acapulco!
Before Rafa can get his checks, go to the bank, and pay Ale before six, he has to get through a meeting with his boss and an important Japanese client, and survive a call from Vicky where she demands that he get home early to take that photo with the trophy like he promised. (I have a feeling he’s going to be cutting it really close with his 6 o’clock payment and the embargo.)
Susana continues to comfort Ale, saying that even if she doesn’t find work right away, she has the man she’s going to marry who will gladly support her financially. Ale doesn’t look thrilled at the idea. She does get riled up at the idea of giving each of the sales team members a piece of her mind before she leaves. Susana does believe that she should speak to each of them and close the circle, but not in anger. She asks why Ale wants to fight with the whole world. Ale argues that it’s not her fighting the whole world, it’s the whole world fighting her! She has Susana call the sales crew in one by one. It looks like Ale’s decided to take Susana’s advice, because here’s the basics of what she said to everyone (I’m paraphrasing):
Claudia: “Look, we’ve never been friends, but it’s never been personal. I admire your talent for sales. What I never approved of was the way you dress and the way you comport yourself with clients. You mix your business and your personal life too much. You’re a great salesperson, a valiant woman. You should not just be a sexual object.” Claudia cries and apologizes for everything she has ever done to Ale, but still doesn’t fess up to what exactly she’s done. She looks truly repentant though and leaves the office sobbing. She tells a concerned Rosaura that she has regrets about things she can’t change.
Ramiro Jimenez: “How’s your new apartment? When are you going to go back to your true career and dream of being an architect? Much of what’s gone wrong with you and your wife is due to you not going back to your true career. You’ve maintained your dignity and you’ve been a good salesman. And when you were able to get that apartment for your wife and kids and move out of your mother in law’s house, I was proud of you. If you can see in yourself the grand man that you are, then your next boss will be as proud of you as I have been.” Ramiro cries, from the truth Ale has been telling him about himself- letting his dream of being an architect die and affect his marriage. But also about what he has accomplished. He invites her to visit his new apartment. She promises to do so and they end in hugs and tears and wishes of god luck.
Ale comes out to get Bebe, who is still waiting for Beltran. Beltran passes by and tries to brush Bebe off, but he makes himself be heard this time. “You can’t fire her. Give her another chance!” Beltran says that Ale is not the same Ale she used to be. Bebe agrees and says she’s better, more experienced. Beltran’s not having it. He announces that he’s already made the decision about her replacement. He walks away, leaving a crying Bebe. Ale gently brings him into her office. He tells her that he refuses to stay at Siglo without her. Ale tells him he has to stay a while longer so that he can get his retirement benefits. His obligation isn’t to her, it’s to that wonderful wife of his. Bebe doesn’t want to go without seeing Ale. Ale assures him she will come to his house and have coffee with him and his wife. He let’s her know the coffee will be waiting for her anytime. They are both weeping and so am I.
We have to take a comedy break to counter alls these tears, although this is a tender moment as well. Rubi is back in her uniform, and after being warned by Marco to say nothing of their tryst in his apartment (Rubi can’t understand what the fuss is about since nothing did happen), she and Jorge are reunited. Or should I say that Jorge and Rubi’s boobies are reunited? Either way, everybody (except Rosario) is happy.
Back at Siglo, Marino continues to lord his presumed new status as boss over everyone. He tells Claudia, Rosaura and the General that they’ll need to start wearing shorter skirts, tells Rosaura that she needs to get a tan (she’s too white for his tastes), and threatens to fire everyone else. (I am so ready to see that grin knocked off his face.) Ale’s heart-to-hearts with the sales team continue.
Rosaura: “We’ll never be friends, but we will see each other. And when we do, I hope to encounter someone who knows she’s a salesperson. Once you accept that that’s who you are, then things will get better for you. You’ve had the strength to survive so far (her husband losing his job and money and her needing to go to work). You have the strength to proudly tell all your rich friends that you’re a saleswoman.” Rosaura asks if Ale will ever visit her at her house. Ale says maybe, when she sees the Rosaura she hopes to see.
Susana can’t bear to speak to Dandy, so she has Trapito go get him for the talk with Ale. Dandy can’t seem to focus on anything or anyone and needs to be dragged from his desk and shoved towards Ale’s office. He comes to life though when he sees Susana. She springs up from her chair and he collapses into it. He stares at her back, she knows he’s looking at her, and an impish smile appears on her face. She backs up and falls into her chair without looking back, landing right onto a delighted Dandy’s lap (an accident???). Susana immediately springs up, runs to hide behind a wall, and watches Dandy secretly as he heads into Ale’s office. (Hmmm….)
Dandy/Nelson: Dandy’s still in the dog house, so Ale makes it brief. “When you came here I saw a handsome man; a good salesman; and a good person. But you’ve turned into a professional con man (estafador). You’re not the man we thought.” Dandy tries to defend himself, but Ale’s not hearing it. He assures her that he will show her and his Nonita that he is the man they thought he was. He’s more determined than ever to be a better person. Ale’s done listening. She lets him know that Susana won’t stay long at Siglo after she goes. Dandy leaves Ale’s office distressed by this news; and Susana enters through another door wanting to know everything that he said (hmmm…). Ale discounts it as basically the same old Dandy bs, and makes Susana promise to follow her as soon as Ale’s secured another job and can get her a position.
Isabel/The General: “I knew between us there would only ever be a working relationship.” The General lets her know the repulsion is mutual (lol!). “You’re a woman without hypocrisies. You’ve always been one of my best salespeople. Thank you for working by my side. All the best.” The General salutes her and says, “Same to you. See you in hell.” (Now here’s a woman you want by your side in battle. But maybe not by your side during an emotional crisis or at a party.)
Marino is starting to worry that everyone is starting to take Ale’s side. The General assures him that she’s not on Ale’s side, but she’s not on his either. This doesn’t quell his fears about Ale winning everyone over, and when Susana calls Ramirez in to see Ale, he tries to stop him. But Ale is still the boss, and could fire Ramirez, so he goes tout de suite.
Random scene of the night: Chavez gets stopped by our two hapless cops for driving drunk and erratically. He’s not willing to take a breathalyzer, line walking test, or blood test. But he is willing to share his fine tequila with the two cops. They decline but decide they need to “confiscate” the bottle. They offer to take him home in the squad car, and he offers to drive (so nice of him), and I don’t notice the red lacy bra hanging over his neck until the end of the scene. (lol!)
We end the evening with Rafa rushing out the doors of CloAutos to get to the bank. Before he makes it out, he gets a call. Not from VickyVickyVicky as expected, but from Beltran! (duhn, duhn, duhn!)
Tomorrow: Those of you who predicted that Beltran is going to offer Rafa Ale’s job were right because Rafa meets with Betran and Doña Arcadia for a business meal.

El Clon Thursday May 13: In which the coffee grounds talk but nobody quite gets what they are saying
So – we are back at the beach café where Andrea catches Alej and Naty smooching. It turns out our little airhead really is a good friend. She protects Naty by shooing away Fernando and the gang, telling them the place is full, don’t even try to get a table.
The king is in his counting house…
Leo to his secretary: ¿Nadie me ha llamado? Nobody called me? (It’s so sad having no one to reject)
A rey muerto rey puesto The king is dead. Long live the king! (To the dead king, a king is placed/crowned)
Cris is telling Vicki she is soooo over Leo.
And in Morocco…
While little Jadiya dances, Jade tells tío Ali that she wants to go back to the US to be near Said. She worries that Lucas’s wife is trying to get too close to him. Ali is thrilled to hear that Jade is thinking like this and agrees to get the tickets cuanto antes (right away).
Hasta me dan ganas de llorar… It makes me want to cry!
Alicia is verklempt (choked up with emotion) at the sweetness of Albi and Luisa going away together for a week and trusting her with filling in for Luisa. Randy old Escobar couldn’t be happier about it; Julio’s pleasure is a bit more restrained.
And in the ruins, Lucas paces and waits… Romantic piano accompaniment.
Said strides angrily through the Medina. Warrior drumbeats sound.
Jade, swathed in head-to-toe black, arrives for her tryst with Lucas. She reveals her silvery, shimmery dance costume under her sober robes and as ‘Amor Amor’ sounds, she begins to dance for Lucas.
Allah, que nadie se de cuenta de la ausencia de Jade
May no one notice Jade’s absence, prays Zoraida, handily using the third person subjunctive of dar, but alas to no avail. There is a pounding on the door. It’s Said and he wants to know where Jade is. Upstairs in her room, fibs Zoraida. Jadiya greets her daddy happily, telling him that she and mom were just getting ready to go back to the US to see him. Mommy left very early, she tells him. So why didn’t you go with her Zoraida? he demands to know. Zoraida babbles something about her leaving so early to buy lamb. (Apparently everyone knows Jade hasn’t earned her lamb-buying merit badge yet and needs extra time for this errand)
And while poor Zoraida is spinning ineffectually, Jade is twirling and shimmying to much greater effect as a blissed out Lucas looks on…
See here, she was getting ready to go to you, here’s her luggage (equipaje) says Zoraida to Said. He’s not interested. Get me a phone book, he barks and then dismisses her. He calls Lucas’s hotel room, gets a nonplussed Enrique. Said invites – or should I say summons -- Lucas and Enrique to dinner that night at Ali’s house and makes it clear he won’t take no for an answer.
Allah, el destino de Jade está escrito en esta taza.
Allah, Jade’s destiny is written in this cup. Yes, Zoraida is reading the coffee grounds and here is what they tell her:
Son dos hombres, dos tiempos…
They are two men, two times...
A uno le veo claramente el rostro, es Lucas
One’s face I see clearly, it’s Lucas
El otro es como si fuera su sombra.
The other, it’s as if he were his shadow.
¿Pero porqué no consigo descifrarlo? But why can't I manage to decipher it?
How, muses Zoraida, can a person be separate from his shadow? (despegarse, literally, to become unstuck). It’s very confusing, she thinks, but it is about to happen.
And at the ruins, Lucas is finally returning The Necklace to Jade. We hear Zoraida’s voice repeating the prophecy about the stone:
Cuando la piedra vuelva a ella, el pasado y el futuro van a correr uno a la dirección del otro y se van a cruzar como si fueran dos ríos.
When the stone returns to her, the past and the future will run, each in the direction of the other and they will cross as if they were two rivers.
Jade and Lucas are sure that the miracle of recovering the necklace is a sign that their destiny is being fulfilled, that nothing can come between them, that they will live happily ever after. He unfastens her bra and the camera discretely looks away.
In Miami, Alej asks Naty if Andrea knows about them. She does, but it’s cool. Besides my mother knows I’m seeing someone and she’s really happy about it (se puso muy contenta) although she doesn’t know it’s you.
And in Little Morocco, the hand-picked computer tech is putting the finishing touches on the kids’ new laptop. Samira wins the obligatory me-first contest with Amin, but her pleasure turns to disappointment when she learns that the parental units have blocked internet use with a contraseña known only to them. This means the kids can only go online under the direct supervision of a parent. Bummer. And no games for Amin either.
So who’s this mysterious boyfriend of Natalia’s, Mama Rosa asks Alej, startling him so much that he drops a plate. He feigns ignorance but even Rosa can tell he’s fibbing. Ah well, she says, Haces bien en ser discreto (you do well to be discreet); it speaks well of you.
You can fool some of the people…
Albi confides to Julio that he doesn’t think Alicia is prepared to do Luisa’s work: No creo que Alicia esté preparada para hacer el trabajo de Luisa. Tell me, says Albi, what do you think of Alicia. Julio replies:
A veces veo que es tan servicial que se pasa. (Sometimes she’s so helpful that she goes too far.) Yes, agrees Albi, that’s what makes me uncomfortable about her. Well, just make sure you supervise her closely and label all the specimens yourself.
And meanwhile Luisa is pressing Alicia to accept her credit card which she does after a girlish show of reluctance. Me hubiera encantado tener una madre como tú, she gushes (I would have loved having a mother like you). And I a daughter like you, replies Luisa (only when she says it her nose doesn’t grow five inches!)
Chismoso Ramon lurks in the background while Dora tells Vicki that Daniel is working and right now is in Mexico, in Cancún. Más parece una sombra buscando su cuerpo que un niño de veinte años. (He seems more like a shadow looking for his body than a boy of 20).
Jade and Lucas say goodbye and she heads back to tío Ali’s house. The couple are thinking that now nothing can stand in the way of their love. The musical director knows better, however, and the strains of “lloran y lloran y lloran” (they weep and they weep and they weep) acccompany her on her way.
In Miami, Naty, Andrea and Alej are at a café. They speculate on how the Ferrer family will react to their relationship. They decide that Lucas will support them because he’s open-minded, he’s more like them. Marisa and Leo? Never. The talk turns to living together. You guys are so cute, coos Andrea.
Gloria grills Pablo about Alej’s business. Ramoncito tells me my son is in love with a girl so rich her pores give off money instead of sweat (en vez de sudor le salen billetes por los poros). Well let’s hope she’s not going to take advantage of him like that Karla did.
Ramon is delivering the news to the Naz that Osvaldo’s novia has a grown son although Ramon’s not sure who the father is. The Naz does her drama queen thing, raving that if she had been allowed to marry Ozzie when he first asked her, she wouldn’t be alone now, woe is the Naz. Well that’s all very well but my pay? says Ramon. She grudgingly gives him one gold earring. And the other? he asks. She explodes at him, telling him to ask for it when he’s got something worthwhile to tell her.
Jade all in black makes her way back through the Medina. Ali reaches home before her and is greeted by a frantic Zoraida who tells him Said is back and Jade has gone who knows where. Said’s glowering face appears and it seems he has heard this conversation.
¡No puede ser!
And Enrique is telling Lucas about Said’s presence in Morocco -- oh no, that can’t be! -- and his insistence that they both come to dinner at Ali’s house. To refuse would be an admission of guilt. What do you think he’s up to? asks Lucas. I don’t know, replies Enrique, but prepare yourself for the worst: Prepárate por lo peor.
¿Dónde estabas Jade? or The Jig is Up
Where were you Jade? asks the furious Said as soon as she appears at the door. I went to the market to buy some things… she begins to say. He forces open her robes to reveal the silvery shimmery outfit beneath. ¿Fuiste al mercado vestida así como una odalisca??? You went to the market like dressed like a harem slave?
Credits roll.

Dinero #95 & 96: 5/12/2010: Sales executive wanted to work in warm friendly environment/ Two crazies get even crazier
We have a little rehash of last night with Marino assuring Beltran he promises to help him out and he won’t be the worse for it. Ale is pouring her heart out to Susana. There isn’t enough money. She needs to find a new job. She doesn’t know what she is going to tell her family. And the worse of it was she was fired because of Rafa. Just her luck.
We have a very different scene at Cloautos. Rafa is being hailed the hero for his great sale. He even gets a little trophy for being vendor of the month. But is he happy? No sir. All he can think about is Ale. And we see Rafas’ sad “missing Ale face,” next to a split screen of a very sad “missing Rafa” face on Ale.
Our two resident blowhards at Siglo (Ramirez and Marino) are chewing the fat. Marino tells him that Ale is leaving. Ramirez wants to know who will replace her. How would you fancy Marino? Ramirez says he will be his assistant (I will quit watching this show if Marino replaces Ale, well not really but ick!) Marino convinces Ramirez to go do is bidding to Beltran. He wants him to convince Beltran that he would be the best candidate for the job. Even though Beltran wants someone with a degree. Ramirez says who needs degrees, when experience is better.
Pepito spies Rafa sitting all by himself when everyone else is celebrating for him. He wants to know why he is so sad. He tells Pepito it is because of Ale. Pepito can‘t believe he could be sad because of this “fiera“ ( wild beast or dragon) that embargoed his house. Rafa says he can‘t help but feel bad about the client he took from her and that he has caused her great damage. Pepito sarcastically grabs the phone and tells him to call her ask for forgiveness and return the client to her. He says that‘s the only thing missing is to cry for your greatest enemy. Rafa shrugs it off and says Ale will continue on with her life.
Ale is not continuing very well. She is crying on Susanas’ shoulders. We see Susana typing up Ales’ resignation through a sea of tears as Ale is dictating to her what to write. Ale continues through her own tears thanking them for the great opportunity she had working there. She tells Susana not to cry because they have to finish the letter. Susana can’t believe this is happening. She wants to know when this is started going down hill. When this all turned into a tragedy. Ale tells her she knows exactly when it all started, and tells her to continue. She waffles with the idea of training her replacement and decides that yes she will stay and train her replacement.
Ramirez has entered Beltrans’ office in efforts to convince him that he knows the ideal candidate that could replace Ale. One that is more modern. One with great experience. One that would get immediate results. Someone that has always been there. Marino. Beltran is none to pleased with this. He reminds Ramirez that he told Marino he wanted someone with a degree. Ramirez wants to know what good all of Ales degrees did her. He tells Beltran he shouldn’t insist on doing things the old way. He tells him he has the opportunity to make history.
Ramirez tells Beltran he needs someone with experience, not some academic. Beltran starts to consider what Ramirez is saying. He says his idea has merit. Ramirez gets all excited by Beltrans’ new attitude. Beltran ponders “someone with experience and results”. Ramirez wants to know if Marino has the job. Beltran tells him to let him think about his suggestion for a while. Ramirez leaves Beltrans’ office so excited he trips on his way out. Beltran ponders “someone with experience, someone with results” . (Are you all thinking what I am thinking?)
Ramirez is ambushed by an anxious Marino wanting to know if he was able to convince Beltran. Ramirez tells him to shake the hand of his new assistant. He tells Marino he sold him on the idea of a man with experience. ( Ramirez uses the word Emperico). Marino is stumped by this and Ramirez explains a person who does not have a degree. He tells him he is a shoe in. Beltran said he would think about his idea but he really liked it. Marino gives Ramirez a cheese eating grin and pumps his fists in triumph.
The rest of the motley crew approach and wants the scoop. Ramirez tells them that the reign of terror has ended and Ale has resigned. They all give out cheers and hugs except for Bebe who gives our famous “No puedo ser“ as he sadly tries to walk through the jubilant crowd. He pulls Zetina aside and tells him he can‘t be a part of this. They all go on excited about the good news. Claudia is all excited that she can wear miniskirts again (What has she been wearing the past few months?) Dandy wants to know if Susana will be leaving too. Marino says well of course and Dandy hit’s the floor.
Ramirez continues saying this isn’t the only good news he has. He tells them that Marino will be her replacement. He wants applause for this wonderful news. We see horrified looks of fear on every ones face. Bebe is destroyed. He tells Zetina he doesn’t know which of the two announcements is the worse.
Susana returns to Ales’ office and tells her she just gave her letter of resignation to Beltran. She asks Ale what she is doing. Ale tells her what all the unemployed do, she is looking for another job. She knows a few people that might have something for her. Then Susana wants to know if she has heard anything about her Tia Rosario. Ale tells her Marco is working on this for her.
Tia Rosario is lamenting to an eager Quintana about her woes. Her bags are packed and she is ready to go. Marco shows up and wants to know if she has talked to Jorge about this. Tia tells him why bother, he won’t even notice that she is gone. Marco tells her she can’t leave under any circumstance and that he is here to take Ruby away. Rosario says Jorge won’t allow that. Marco assures her he will take care of everything. He tells her to stay put until he comes back.
Ruby and Jorge are out strolling the neighborhood. Marco tells Ruby they need to talk. He takes her aside and tells her she has to leave. Ruby protests. She wants to know why. He tells her Rosario is about to leave and Ale won’t allow that. Ruby all in a huff is off to talk to Ale. Marco stops her. He tells her the decision is made. She wants to know if he even thought about poor Jorge. She is afraid that Jorge would have another heart attack if she leaves. Marco tells her not to worry,. He will take care of everything. Ruby doesn’t want to leave and Marco tells her too bad, you are leaving.
Things are hopping at Siglo now. We have the majestic arrival of the owner of Siglo; complete with limousine, red carpet and dogs. It is Dona Acardia. As she enters they all clamor for her attention. Egos are all taken down a level as she insults each one of them. She calls Claudia a table dancer, Slaps Dandy’s face, wants to know if Ramiro is still with that nag of a wife. Marino approaches and she pulls the toothpick out of his mouth in disgust. The only one she is happy to see is Bebe. (That woman knows the souls of her employees. I think I like her.)
Marco and Jorge are in the library having a little chat. Jorge is telling Marco how intelligent Ruby is. Sadly Marco has to give Jorge the terrible news. Ruby has to leave. Jorge is greatly affected. Urdiales called and told him Her poor mother is sick and she needs her. Jorge wants to go with her. After all she was here for him. He wants to be there for her. Marco ever the best thinker tells him it is not a good idea for him to go. Ruby herself would not permit it.
Now Ruby has entered the room to give Jorge a tender sweet goodbye. He says he will be waiting for her to come back when her mother is better. Ruby shoots Marco a look then turns to Jorge and tells him of course she will come back. He gives her a boob hug, then goes in for another and declares he will take her to the station. Marco assures him he will take care of this. Jorge tells her to be sure and call him and is left very forlorn.
Cloautos is celebrating the demise of Siglo. It is a funeral over there. And Ale is the first cadaver. Rafas’ new boss says he feels sorry for her and wouldn’t want to be in her skin (pellejo). Rafa sitting alone says, it couldn’t be avoided but she is paying for all the things she has done.
Ruby is all broken up about leaving. She wants to know when she can see Jorge again Marco tells her to forget about that. She is worried he will really miss her. As she gets in Marcos car she takes her coat off and Marco becomes ever so sympathetic giving her a long approving look. He assures her everything will be just fine. He can’t possibly leave her alone when she is so sad.(What a gentleman) He knows just the place to take her to help her feel better.
Dona Arcadia is in Beltrans’ office and not pleased. Beltran is having a case of tachycardia. She wants to know what he is going to do about the poor sales. Beltran is ghastly white and starts sucking on his oxygen.
We see Ale on the phone . Things are not going much better for her. All her acquaintances are not quite so eager to hire her. They have heard all about her failures and the Refri fiscal. As she is talking on the phone we are given an earful of what only sounds like dogs barking on the other end. Not a good sign.
We hear screams from her office and Ramirez tells Zetina to enjoy her last bout of yelling. Zetina wants to know if she is really going to quit. Now we have a nasty little trick that Ramirez is pulling on Zetina. He encourages him to take advantage of this time to start his affair with Ale. Zetina is a little hesitant. What if things don’t work out. Ramirez assures him nothing bad will happen, after all she is leaving. Ramirez fills in Marino about the little trick he is playing on Zetina.
Rafa has left Cloautos with trophy in hand and who should be riding along in her automobile, none other than Monica. She shouts out “hello sexy” and starts flirty with him. She asks what’s up with the trophy and Rafa tells her he is the vendor of the month. Well this is cause to celebrate thinks our little minx. Rafa tells her he is not up to celebrating. She convinces him and he unenthusiastically gets in her car.
Ale is still getting nowhere with her telephone “dog barking” job hunting. She is offended at the offer she is hearing, as we see Zetina entering her office. He remembers what Ramirez told him about how the madder Ale gets the better it gets. And she is mad and this gets good, but not how Zetina expected. He holds his arms out and says I am yours, take advantage of me and gives her a big bear hug and starts sucking at her neck. A very surprised Ale slaps him but a good one. She screams at him and calls him an imbecile. The icky Siglo sickies all hear this and turn and smirk. As he leaves the office dejected and embarrassed they all lay in wait, laughing at him. He is left alone rubbing his face with a sad what the heck look.
Susan enters and wants to know what’s going on. Ale tells her he entered her office saying I am yours take advantage of me. Susana thinks that is a little strange. He is a pretty normal guy, maybe a little shy. Ale tells her he is Rafas’ replacement why would he be normal. Ale cries out what a black day. The only thing lacking is for Trapito to enter and want to make love with her. Susana teasingly tells her that Trapito is her man and he would never do that to her.
Ale continues that this is the least of her problems. She is finished. Ale tells her that a few months ago everyone was after her to work for them. Now no one wants her. She confides the outlook is not very good. Then she goes on her little rant of how all of this is Rafas’ fault. Susana continues to be little Polly Anna and tells her there are other places she can check out. Ale tells her no one will take her seriously and that she is the laughing stock of the Auto business. (or something like that).
Monica and Rafa are having coffees. Monica wants to know what’s up. She tells him it is like he isn’t there. She wants to know if he is upset with her. Rafa assures her this isn’t the case. He tells her she is a very sweet young thing and no one would be bothered by being with her. Then she asks him if he is thinking abut her? Rafa says her who? Monica says Ale. Rafa gives this long pause. Monica wants to know what he is thinking about. Rafa says she is right he has to forget about Ale. He has to become happy again. Now Monica takes his hands and asks if she could be any help. Rafa asks in what and she tells him to believe in love again. She goes in very close and we are left with an almost kiss.
Chapter 96: Two crazies get even crazier
Where were we. Oh yea Monica getting Frisky with Rafa. Rafa stops her very quickly and stares at her with a troubled look on his face.
Back with Ale and Susana. Ale says all her troubles started the day Rafa crashed into her and have lasted up to this moment with her loosing such a great sale. Ale thinks this is quite the coincidence that all this is happening now. Susana reminds her that this isn‘t the case. She tells her the best sales were when her and Rafa were working together. Ale tells her to shut up and she prohibits her from being right. She wants an explanation for why all this is happening.
Susana tells her she is just having a bad day. Ale is not buying this. All these bad things started happening when she ran into to Rafa. She lost her job, the hacienda and then there is Zetina. And her house is in chaos.. Susana inquires about Tia Rosario. Ale tells her that Marco is taking care of that and got rid of the nurse. Susana wants to know how poor Jorge is taking that.
Rafa is telling Monica that she is a wonderful young women but he just doesn’t have room in his life for another woman. Monica continues chiding him. She wants to know why he is so smitten with her. Rafa assures her it is more than just a whim. It is bigger than that. She makes fun of him then she asks if his work is no longer important to him. Rafa wants to know what his work has to do with any of this. She tells him that Refri still hasn’t brought any trucks.
And again she starts coming on to Rafa and says there is a tiny chance that she could convince her uncle to open up negotiations with him again. Rafa tells her to be serious. Even after the other night in the restaurant with what happened with her Uncle. Now there is no holding her back. She goes in again very close and says you don’t know what I could do and starts a seduction move that makes Claudia look like Mother Theresa. Rafa all nervous tells her to cool it.
In the meantime, we see Tia Rosario asking Jorge what’s wrong. (Okay tia you just had Marco sack the lust of his life and you want to know what’s wrong?) Jorge walks away sadly saying nothing, nothing is wrong. Ale is telling Susan that they have to replace that “thing in white” for her father. Ale says the only good thing about all of this besides Susana, is that she has the support of someone who can embrace her during these moments and is at her side. Susana sarcastically says Marco. Ale agrees with a starry eyed grin on her face. Yes Marco “que padre“ as she looks at her photo of them together. .
Rafa has managed to peel Monica off of him and tells her he is grateful for everything she wants to do for him, but the truth is he doesn’t want to do anything that would make Ale feel worse. He just wants to be good friends. Monica finally caves in and says if that’s what you want.
Rafa then asks her to tell him more about what’s going on in her life. She’s into animals. Her Father was a hunter. They had all kinds of animal heads hanging in their house. The subject eventually is about lions. Rafa tells the story about when they were all out on a picnic and he had to fight off a lion that escaped from the zoo. We get a flashback of the previous episode where they were all rushing away from the lion and Rafa went back to save the pet bird. Then they talk about how animals are mistreated at the zoo. (Was this a PSA about cruelty to animals?)
Rafa finally tells her she is a lovely young women but he has to leave. He doesn‘t feel right. She says it is okay, probably for the best, as he is still thinking about Ale “his sweet torment.”. Rafa sweetly thanks her for being so understanding. (That Rafa what a keeper. Ale what’s wrong with you???)
Marco and Ruby arrive at his apartment. Who should be lurking with a drink in hand but Marcos’ better half, Chavez. Marco screams at him and wants to know what he is doing there. Chavez tells him you scared me I almost broke the bottle. Marco asks him who said he could be there finishing off his whiskey. Chavez answers well you didn’t say I couldn’t. Marco tells him to leave.
Chavez takes him aside and asks him why he brought her here. He tells Chavez she is depressed and he was going to give her some money. Oh and by the way I need some money. Chavez hands him an envelope and says it is her next months wages. Then he cautions Marco to be careful. She could open her mouth. He tells him not to worry. The money is so she will disappear for good. Chavez is impressed. The old Marco is back. After so much abstinence . Then Chavez goes down his little windy road of lust by proxy and gets himself all worked up just thinking about it. Marco tells him to leave., and he tells our “precious little gem” he will see her later
Marco offers Ruby a coffee. Lets try a little tequila straight up says our sweet little nurse. She wants her money, as she downs her drink. Marco hands her the envelope and says it her monthly salary but it also is enough to include a little show. A private show. In the bedroom With music. As things start heating up the phone rings. It is Ale. He tells Ruby to not say anything, She says she will go look for the music and change and heads to the bedroom. Ale just called him to thank him for everything he has done for her today. You know taking care of the whole Ruby situation. (and he is certainly doing that.) She wants to know how he got rid of the “white monster”. He lies to Ale and tells her he sent her packing. She thanks him again and Marco tells Ale he loves her. Ale answers a simple yes and hangs up.
Ruby has changed out of her day-job working clothes into her night-job working clothes. And Marco is getting his “show”. The phone rings again and this time it is Claudia. She informs Marco they have had quite a day at Siglo. His ex girlfriend lost a big sale. Marco corrects her and says his current girlfriend. This doesn’t set well with Claudia. She continues to tell him Ale lost the sale to Rafa. This is not setting to well with Marco. He is trying very hard to play it cool but he is having a tough time. Marco informs her that Ale has told him that Rafa has been taking clients. Claudia tells Marco she actually met with him He wants all the details. Claudia proceeds to tell him what went down. She tells him Ale was away from the office for hours. Marco is trying very hard not to loose it. He graciously thanks her for the information. She tells him this conversation never happened she tells him to not be ungrateful and to call her. Marco assures her he will call and hangs up.
Marco swears and starts getting all worked up. He tells himself this can’t be that she would be betraying him again. Then he tries to calm himself down. He is not going to loose it this time. Every things cool and he heads in to the bedroom.
He has calmed down and finds a very ready Ruby at the foot of the bed. Things start heating up and he has lowered her to the bed when he suddenly looks over and sees Rafa passionately kissing Ale. He has lost it and gets up suddenly screaming No No No! Leaving a very confused Ruby sitting on the bed wondering what the heck. She goes over to him and asks him what’s wrong. Marco looks over at the bed and continues to see Rafa and Ale arms wrapped around each other kissing. He is screaming like a mad man pointing at the bed.. Ruby looks at bed and sees nothing. She is a little freaked by his behavior and I am cracking up. (Marco does crazy better than Vicky). Now he stumbles over to the bed frantically pulling back all the covers. Ruby is trying to calm him down. He is yelling they were here. Ruby assures him no one is there. He is out of his mind nuts yelling they were here. Then he yells at Ruby to leave!! Ruby gives him a very strange look and Marco shoves more money at her and tells her to leave he wants to be alone. Ruby scats. And Marco is left with terror on his face. Screaming “not again“. (That was the funniest scene we have seen in a while.)
Back at Siglo Ramirez is having a go at Zetina again. He is telling him that Ale likes violence. Finally our sweet Bebe puts an end to this ugliness and pulls Zetina aside. Claudia wants to know what Bebe is up too and Ramirez tells her “the fun is over” Claudia flippantly says they will just have to find some other fun.
Bebe tells Zetina it was just a joke. Zetina all innocent says “ Then I didn’t have a chance with her?” Zetina doesn’t get it and Bebe ends up screaming at him. Ale comes out of her office and Zetina runs and hides. He has frightened the poor Siglo floor models and they are all screeching as he tries to hide between them . Ale walks over and yells at him “Echese un balde de agua” Throw a bucket of water on it, or take a cold shower. The Siglo creeps all tell Ale goodbye and are surprised to hear she will be back in the morning. As they leave they all chide poor Zetina who is left sitting with the look of a deer caught in headlights.
Marco is informing Chavez that Ale has returned to Rafa. Chavez wants to know if he is sure. Marco answers yes. Chavez wants to know where, in what hotel. Marco confesses it wasn’t a hotel but at a business meeting. Chavez wants to know if they did anything. Marco says he doesn’t know but Claudia called to tell him. Chavez reassures him it was just a business meeting. He encourages him to ask Ale about it.
Quintana is reassuring tia Rosario he is there for her. Ale gets home and wants to know how Jorge is doing. Not so good. Ale knocks on Jorges’ door and he tells her to go away he is sleeping. Ale enters and suggests they find another nurse. Jorge is insulted. Ruby is irreplaceable. He tells Ale he will wait for Ruby. That is if he doesn’t die before her mother dies. Ale informs Jorge that Tia Rosario was going to leave. Jorge was not even aware of that. Why would she leave? Ale tells her she had had enough of Ruby. Jorge apologizes to Tia Rosario and promises that they will grow old and die together.
Jorge wants to know where Tia was going to go. Quintana pipes in she could have stayed with him. This sets Jorge off and he is on a rant about Quintana not be trustworthy. He would just try and seduce her. He turns to Quintana and says “tell you wouldn’t try“ . Then he prohibits Rosario from leaving.
Vicky shows up at Rafas’ house. She wants to know where Rafa is then she casually asks after Jaimie. She tells Lenora she will just wait for him in his Room. Lenora does not want a repeat performance and tells Vicky no way.
Rafa finally shows up and Vicky jumps him. He shows off his trophy and we get a cheer from Vicky. She takes the trophy from Rafa and shoves Juliette out of her way and heads into Rafas’ bedroom. Juliette warns him she is going into his room and Rafa tells her not to worry. She won’t find anything else of Ales’ in the room except the huge debt he owes her.
We have a salon scene. Not quite as cute as the last time. It involves Rosaura. She walks in and needs to get dolled up. She manages to insult everyone. There was even a remark by our skinny friend that got censored. Rosaura says Miami would never have a place like this. Her friends would all make fun of her if they saw her their.
Marco has calmed him self down and is talking with Ale. Ale tells him the sad events of her day. She lost the big sale she had. Marco wants to know how she lost it. She tells him she is going to tell him the truth but she wants him to remain calm. She said she lost it to Rafa. She continues the story and tells Marco she did not know Rafa would be there. Marco is livid that she lost the sale to Rafa. He accuses her of letting him have the sale for sentimental reasons. She pleads that she had to stop. She was offering more than she was authorized to offer. She tells Marco they would have both lost out. Then Rafa would not have been able to pay her what he owes her. Ale defends Rafa and says he isn’t the delinquent that Marco says he is. Marco goes off on her for defending him. Ale tries to calm him down. Marco says he won’t calm down. He accuses her of being crazy (?) “delirando” for Rafa again. He says she’s out in the street because of him. All of this is his fault. He tells her it was Rafa who destroyed her for the umpteenth time. He is ranting now with pure anger. Ale has had enough and tells Marco she was so stupid to think she could tell him the truth. She was so stupid to confide in him. But she was wrong. She tells him to just let her solve her own problems and leaves in a huff. Marco swears and knocks over the chair in Anger.
Our final scene is Vicky trying to find the perfect place for Rafas’ trophy. She settles on the spot right next to her picture. That way it will be the first thing he sees. She tells him she is very proud of him. She wants to take a photo of him and the trophy. She asks Rafa if the Siglo crew knows he won the trophy. He says probably because he won it for a client he took from them. Rafa is preoccupied and Vicky starts in again about the letter of Recommendation from Ale. He tells her to not start with that. Now Vicky does the crazy and pulls out Ales’ ripped picture and tells her to just look at the trophy Rafa won. Rafa wants to know what she is doing with the picture of Ale. He asks her if she has been carrying it around all day.
She turns and snaps yes, so what. She approaches Rafa and he becomes nervous. He tells her he thought she would just tear it up . She tells him it isn’t his problem. Then she taunts him with it and asks if he wants it. Rafa says do what you want with it. Throw it in the garbage. Vicky tells him she will throw it in the garbage the day this women leaves your life for good and not any sooner. Then she says “ Do you know what? I don’t like that that you don’t like that I carry this around. “ Rafa tells her she likes it a little. This turns Vickys’ crazy knob up a notch further. She tells Rafa he has ruined the celebration and put her in a bad mood. She is leaving and will return tomorrow to take a picture of him and the trophy and send it to Siglo weather he likes it or not. (That whole last bit was a bit confusing for me and it is late so I hope I didn’t get it too messed up). But I think it went down something like that. And that is where we end.

Corazón Salvaje 05/12/10: Eusabio Jumps the Shark
debacle with the twins in the anteroom. He instructs Gabriel to
remain, but that he needs to be alone and will explain later. At the
cave, Juan mulls over the two twins and marvels wistfully how he has
never known anyone like Regina. She'd do anything for the man she
loves!
Aimee returns to the party and claims to Renato she visited the powder
room. When asked what happened in her absence, Renato says he will
explain later and exits in search of Regina. Across the room Gabriel
hawks Jimena, dancing with Branko as the entertainment's main
attraction. She and Gabriel exchange numerous speculative and probing
glances.
In another corner, Rodrigo simmers noxiously over Juan pursuing him
everywhere, even as Leonarda attempts to hold off the boil due to
Rodrigo's delicate health. And Eloísa grasps the dancing applause to
mask a saunter to sidle up to Federico and hold his hand. Federico
doesn't permit the handclasp long, but long enough for Servando to get
a fascinated eyeful.
With palm reading as the final act, Griselda makes a beeline for
Rodrigo and Leonarda, to Leonarda's delight. Griselda is surprised to
realize that Rodrigo is her gentleman and reads with heavy portent
that Rodrigo is a very lucky man. A great woman appears in his
destiny, one ready to do anything for him.
Her name is etched by fire in his soul and only he can recognize her.
Leonarda blushes. Flattering Leonarda by reading in her palm how good
and noble she is, Griselda stacks their two hands together and
declares they are a lucky pair, bound to each other from the past much
more than people know. Noel, standing nearby, has not missed a
pregnant moment.
Gabriel retrieves Jimena from the dance floor to sullenly congratulate
her on dancing beautifully. His real interest seems to be Branko and
what he's doing there. Jimena explains he just arrived from globe
trotting, upon which Gabriel observes cynically they sure seem cozy
for just having met.
She admits she likes Branko and they developed a nice friendship. And
what's more, Jimena points out, Branko treats her with respect, unlike
any other man she's known. Gabriel mulls this over silently while the
camera pans to Branko watching them pensively, who then gathers her up
when the gypsy troop exits. Gabriel does not look happy.
At the casino, the girlz bemoan the sorry state of manhood -- like
that Federico Martín del Campo -- while Phillip defends his gender.
Marlene enters and counsels Lulu that some men are good, but the rest
are "all alike" and will take advantage of any little error they make.
Lulu is distraught with guilt over her visit to Federico's and the
ensuing disaster, but swears she stole nothing! Marlene believes her
and forgives her; they are like her daughters and they stick together
to survive and to put up a happy front for the public, who expects it.
Renato finds Regina and takes her aside to gently rebuke her for not
telling him about herself and Juan; but Regina instead mystifies him
further by denying it and claiming the truth is something else
entirely -- she had to do it to protect someone she loves. She'd
sooner suffer condemnation of others rather than defend herself.
That night, dreaming in his bed and looking handsome, Gabriel kisses
Estrella and hears her tell him to find someone else to make him happy
-- when the apparition turns suddenly into Jimena in his arms.
Jimena? he calls. Gabriel bolts upright and awake, with Jimena's name
on his lips wonderingly. Finally, he smiles in dawning relief and
understanding.
Next morning, in the light of day, however, his old doubts return.
She's a gypsy! He can't set his sights on her! He's just chewing
this over again when suddenly Jacinta rushes in and exclaims that
Pedro, Eusabio and Santos went fishing and never returned. She's
beside herself with fear and needs to find Juan right away. They exit
to gather the boyz and find Juan.
Out in the fields, Renato now braces Juan with his quandary -- is
Regina the one Juan demanded to see at the wedding? But Juan won't
satisfy him either and explains enigmatically that one day he'll see
that things aren't as they appear and that looks can be deceiving --
but the worst is when love lies.
Next Noel even corners Regina to counsel her, but he is sweetly
concerned. He wants to hear her side of the story. Regina has
already trusted him with many details of her love and sacrifice to see
Renato happy, but she can only explain that circumstances forced her
to play up to Juan. When Noel points out that nevertheless actions
can bring one down, Regina insists her conscience is clear.
In the finca office, Leonarda is now happy to agree with Aimee that
Regina is a bad act -- but the worst is Leonarda can't tattle to
Rodrigo due to his rage perhaps killing him. Aimee reassures Leonarda
she needn't tell him -- just get Regina married off to Federico and at
a distance from the farm as soon as possible.
Out on a "faraway" desert isle probably about 50 yards from the
regular beach shack, Eusabio tries to get Santos interested in
"surviving" by reconnoitering for a nice, cold coconut milk; but
Santos can only think of what might have happened to poor Pedro, who
may have washed up on another "faraway" desert isle. Meanwhile, back
at the finca, Gabriel gallops up to inform Remigio about the missing
fisherman and they exit to seek out Juan immediately.
At a jeweler's, Rodrigo and Federico scope out a fat diamond
engagement ring for Regina; but Rodrigo is rather nonplussed to
discover that Federico once again is out of funds and supposedly
awaiting some from Spain. Rodrigo longsufferingly accepts to buy the
diamond and let Federico repay him when the time comes.
Hoping to wring out an admission of guilt, in the finca office,
Leonarda berates Regina over her behavior with Juan, but is
unsuccessful. Instead Regina leaves Leonarda speechless by declaring
she hopes to God that Leonarda never finds out what made her act that
way. Were she to, she'd more likely be asking forgiveness on bended
knee!
Regina flees the office, and Clemencia finds her on the staircase
landing, weeping piteously. Regina grasps at Clemencia like a life
raft -- the only person who seems to understand. She'd rather
everyone think she's an evil woman than Renato learn Aimee is Juan's
lover!
Down in the catacombs, Rosenda skulks the dark passageways with only a
tiny candle flame in hand, knocking on walls and probing nooks to find
where Arcadio might stash his cache of Leonarda's jewels. Focused on
the prize, she gets much more than she bargained for, however -- when
a black-veiled ghost rounds a bend and peers at her, frightening the
wits out of Rosenda. All this to tibia-bones-on-skulls music.
At the gypsy camp, Servando tosses Branko his split from the gig last
night, noting Branko could make a bundle dancing with Jimena around
town. When Branko frankly confesses he really likes Jimena a lot,
Servando informs him that unfortunately another guy has his eye on her
-- a guy with a good future.
Back at the catacombs, of course, María del Rosario had simply let
herself out of her cell in the usual way and went prowling around to
find the room where she thought she saw Juan de Díos. Rummaging in
the drawers there, she happens upon and absconds with the damning
blackmail letter which Arcadio holds over Leonarda's head for
poisoning the twins' mother, Constanza.
The embarrassing appointment at the jeweler's didn't enhance
Federico's mood for his visit to wring money out of Fifi and Marlene
at the casino. He is especially rude, and observes if they denounce
him to the cops, he'll do the same. Marlene will give him his money;
but they repeat he gave them an entire day, and that means they have
until 2:00 in the morning.
Federico accedes to return then -- but if they don't have it he'll
take the casino! Phillip objects the casino is worth a fortune! Pay
him or lose it, Federico insists and exits. Marlene sinks into the
upholstery, ruing how she never thought her return to Veracruz would
end up like this. Fifi runs after Federico and attempts to explain
through tears about the man who broke in through the patio, but
Federico laughs in her face at this ridiculous tale.
Jimena pounds the laundry at the river when Branko appears and
startles her; he wastes no time and asks outright about his rival,
since Branko is definitely interested in Jimena. Jimena denies
Gabriel is in love with her; he's in love with another woman. But
Jimena regretfully admits she is in love with him. Upon learning
this, Branko earnestly warns Jimena about getting involved outside
their kind; a white man will spurn her for being a gypsy. Jimena
turns away, dispirited again.
In bed together up in the dressmaker's hideaway, Eloísa is upset to
learn Federico frankly plans to marry Regina. When asked, Eloísa
admits she would never think of leaving Fulgencio's money -- and
Federico chuckles and demonstrates he also must look out for his
financial future. Eloísa is relieved to hear Federico plans to
continue funny business as usual after his marriage. She makes him
swear to never leave her, and he does.
At the sheriff's office, he's pleased to hear no good news about the
fishermen. And on the supposed desert island, the two remaining boyz
have fashioned a raft with provisions to set forth for home and on a
search for Pedro. Meanwhile, Juan has the erstwhile pirates ganged up
and setting sail on the Luzbel to search high and low until they find
their friends.
Down in the catacombs, María del Rosario absconds with the blackmail
letter and happens upon Constanza's treasure chest; she also uncovers
there with glee an actual baby doll, so she's coming up in the fantasy
world. She'll be at Juan before we know it; oh, not really. Anyway,
at a sudden noise, she hides the letter inside the baby doll.
Upstairs, Arcadio is livid when a terrified Rosenda approaches him
about her vision in the basement; she's so upset, she just spills the
whole premise of why she was down there -- to look for his jewel
cache. I guess she's right, because predictably he doesn't give a
whit about the jewels. He just screams at her to stay out of the
damned basement!
In their apartment, Aimee thinks for once Renato should now believe
her story about Regina and Juan; but no luck. They both denied it,
and he trusts each of them more than he trusts his own eyes or wife
apparently. In fact, he says, if it turned out to be true; so what --
he'd back them up.
Out on the high seas, Juan and the weekend warriors search for their
fisher friends. Meanwhile, Santos and Eusabio have launched their
rickety reed raft -- and of course, Eusabio manages to find a way to
plunge into the depths, where vicious, hungry sharks lurk and circle.
In the previews: Arcadio finds that his blackmail letter has
disappeared and assumes Rosenda took it; Gabriel looks green-eyed
daggers at Branko and Jimena dancing in town -- and then attacks
Branko to make him unhand her; and finally, Noel astounds Renato by
admitting there is a big secret that will be revealed at the proper
time.

El Clon 61, Wed., May 12- Jade and Lucas revert to adolescence
Leo tells Rosa that Enrique has reported that Lucas isn't budging on the Jade situation. Marisa comes in. He tells her to give Lucas time (dale tiempo). He says that Lucas will realize that this is a mistake and it will all get resolved. [Even Leo should have trouble saying this with a straight face.]
Tiempo es lo que menos quiero darle a Lucas.
Time is the last (least) thing I want to give Lucas, says Marisa. She says that she has given him time since they got married:
tiempo para que olvide... tiempo para que entienda.. para que decida.. para que crezca..
time to forget; time to understand; to decide; to grow up (all in the present subjunctive after para que). She says that she doesn't have any more time for him. Leo asks what she is going to do and Marisa replies that she is hasn't decided.
Tómate tu tiempo.
Take your time, says Leo.
Rosa tells Marisa that Leo is on her side. Marisa replies that Leo is on the side of his business deal. He doesn't need her now that Natalia is old enough to decide where she wants to live. Rosa asserts that she has always cared about Marisa but Marisa retorts that Rosa has always been on Lucas' side.
Rosa is worried about Nati going to the beach alone but she is reassured when she sees that Nati is with Alejandro. Once away from the house, they stop and kiss. Alej wants Nati to meet his mother (vieja, literally, old lady). Nati isn't sure that Alej's mother will like her. Alej is sure that she will adore Nati.
Si yo, que ti conocí cuando eras mala gente te adoro, ¡imagínate ahora que eres un encanto!
If I, who met you when you were mean, adore you, just imagine now that you are enchanting!
Alej says that he has the impression that he has known her for a long time.
Nati replies that she feels like she is in a dream and is afraid to wake up.
No, tranquila...si te despiertas, ahí estaré para abrazarte.
No, don't worry.. if you wake up, I'll be there to hold you.
Rosa calls Andrea and is surprised to learn that Nati isn't with her.
Alej and Nati are on the deserted beach for lovers.
Alej tells Nati that he is afraid to fall in love with her because they are from such different worlds. What would her parents let their precious child (hijita consentida) have a boyfriend who is a chauffeur? Nati replies that they will have to accept it. She doesn't want her parents' lives - together because of destiny and not because they are happy. They deceive each other, lie and fight. She doesn't want that for herself. She just wants to be happy with Alej.
Lucia asks if Marisa is going to separate from Lucas.
¡Ni loca! Si me separo de Lucas me quedo sin nada.
No way! If I separate from Lucas, I'll be left with nothing.
She has nothing and since Natalia is 18, she wouldn't get child support. [There is such a thing a alimony. I'm sure Lucas would be happy to pay to get rid of Marisa.] She says that she will never change her style of life. She is not on speaking terms with her father so no money there. She says the only thing she knows how to do is be a rich man's wife. Lucia suggests that with her looks and style, Marisa could get a job. Marisa looks at as if Lucia suggested that she go and work in a leper colony. She tells Marisa that she can't let Lucas separate from her without suffering the consequences. Lucia suggests cluing Said in on what is going on. A lightbulb goes on in Marisa's head. [Wasn't that her plan all along?]
I guess she did that because the next scene we see Said having someone call all the hotels in Morocco looking for Lucas.
Zoraida, in her house-cleaning headcovering,
waits anxiously for Jade to return from the medina. Jade complains about being unable to go out. But you just went to the market alone with Jadiyah, says Zoraida. Jade replies that Zoraida doesn't understand anything.
Enrique tries to convince Lucas to wait on the Jade thing until the business deal with Said's company is signed. Lucas tells him that waiting hasn't worked out well in the past for Jade and him. He loves Jade and is going to do what it takes to be with her.
¡Me voy a aferrar a ella!
I am going to grab her!
Lucas says that when he meets Jade, he will find out whether Said already knows about them or whether Jade returned to Morocco to get away from Lucas.
Said finds out that Lucas is in Morocco.
Voy a cumplir mi destino.
I'm going to fulfill my destiny, says Said grimly.
Said tells Mohamed that he has to go back to Morocco right away on urgent business.
Pablo has taken up with Karla (who also gets a considering look from Mohamed). Gloria is happy to have Karla away from Alej.
Ramon goes to see the Naz but Latifa won't let him in because there are no men in the house. Nariza doesn't care. She wants a report on Osvaldo from Ramon.
Doña Nazira, vi al Señor Osvaldo abrazado de su novia.
Doña Nazira, I saw Señor Osvaldo hugging his girlfriend, report Ramon.
The Naz asks if Dora is prettier than she. Ramon is discreet.
Cada uno tiene su encanto.
Each of you has her charm. Then he tells her that she is prettier than Dora. He also tells her that Dora has been Osvi's girlfriend for a long time. The Naz concludes that Osvaldo was seeing Dora and her at the same time. She recites Osvaldo's promises to marry her, go to Morocco, etc. Latifa takes the opportunity to point out the perfidy of Westerners. The Naz screams at her to shut up and asks Ramon to find out exactly when Osvaldo is getting married. 'You pay, I'll find out,' replies Ramon and the Naz gives him her gold earrings and tells him to hurry.
Nati comes back from the beach all happy. Rosa is sure that she was with a boy.
¡Qué bueno que alguien en esta familia puede ser feliz!
How nice that someone in this family can be happy, says Marisa showing why she is a finalist in the "The Person Most Self-Centered, and Most Oblivious to Everyone Else’s Needs" contest.
Some totally pointless pillow talk between Lucia and Roberto that illustrates her jealousy.
Albieri sends for Luisa and tells her that he has determined that it was her fault that the DNA results got mixed up and adding this to the incident with his journal has convinced him that Luisa needs a vacation. She is impactada and points out that he made a much worse error and didn't have to go on vacation. She is doubly impactada to learn that Alicia is slated to take over her job and the rest of the staff in the clinic approve of this decision. Since Albieri has made this announcement during business hours, Luisa has to run out of the office crying in front of everyone. Alicia, in what must be the ugliest dress ever conceived, pretends concern.
Dora tells Vicki that her life is good for the first time in a long time: she has her own house; her mother is living with her and she is going to marry Osvaldo. [Let's hope she this list isn't in order of how much happiness it provides her.] The only thing that is missing is if Daniel would come home and live with her and forget about Dr. Albieri. Luisa comes to see Dora. I guess Luisa doesn't have any friends because she pours out her troubles with Albieri to someone who calls her Doña Luisa and uses the formal usted with her. She takes Dora's hand and says that she feels so alone and needs a friend. Dora pulls her hand away and is polite. Luisa gets the message and leaves.
Andrea comes to see Nati and finds her putting on make up. She concludes that Nati is going out with someone. Nati confirms this but will only tell Andrea that she is very happy and wouldn't want to be anyone else in the world. Andrea is happy for her.
Alej tells Pablo that he is fascinated with Natalia. She is so pretty and easygoing that he can't believe that she was born in this hosue of millionaires. Pablo advises him to take it slow.
No te vayas de cabeza sin freno.
Don't jump in headfirst, literally, Don't go by the head without brakes, says Pablo.
Alej says that he can't control himself. Pablo says that he can control himself the same way that Pablo is controlling himself with Karla. Alej can't believe that Pablo is getting involved with her.
No sé si fue un buena idea de montarme en ese tren...
I don't know if it was a good idea to get on that train.. says Pablo, but he doesn't want to risk his friendship with Alej for a woman like Karla. Alej reassures him that his ex-girlfriends are dead to him. Besides he owes Karla one. If she hadn't left him for someone else, he never would have gotten involved with Nati. He goes on to say that what he felt for Karla wasn't love - they liked each other and she was really good in bed and he got used to that. Pablo is glad Alej feels that way. He says that he won't get involved with Karla but he will teach her a good lesson (dar le su bien escarmiento).
Osvaldo is making his blackmail payment to Karla. He begs to drop the sexual assault charges against him. She says that she'll think about it when he finds her a millionaire husband. Osvi protests that he isn't a pimp (chulo profesional). He needs, what else, time. She says that she is busy and sends Osvaldo off. Karla's nasty mother takes the money in lieu of rent. Apparently, Karla got a part in some show. She is sure that this means she will be famous.
Jade slips out of the house while Ali tells the children stories from the Koran. Lucas tells Enrique that he is leaving to meet Jade. Enrique begs him to reconsider.
Enrique, hoy se decide mi vida..
Enrique, today my life is being decided, says Lucas and leaves. The situation is too stressful for Enrique and he thinks about ordering a drink. Uh oh.
Zoraida catches Jade leaving the house and tries to follow but loses sight of her in the medina.
Albieri makes up with Luisa and suggests that they go on vacation together.
Back to the ruins. Lucas and Jade meet. They kiss. A loooong kiss.
Meanwhile, Zoraida is running around the medina looking for Jade. [She must be the only person who doesn't know that Jade and Lucas always meet at the ruins.]
Jade: I can't believe that I am here with you after such a long time.
Lucas: Time doesn't pass here. We are the same adolescents who met 20 years ago and who never stopped loving one another.
Jade: Lucas
Lucas: Look. Can you feel my heart? It beats (Late) for you. I feel like I just met you, like we were falling in love in secret (como si te estuviera enamorando a escondidas.)
Jade: I shouldn't have come, Lucas. You shouldn't have come looking for me now. This is crazy.
Lucas: Jade, listen to me. I tried during all this time to forget you. I didn't manage it (no lo conseguí). I couldn't.
Jade: You thought about me?
Lucas: All the time, my love. All the time. That is why my life has been so empty because I don't have a soul, I don't have heart. Look at me. You kept my whole being (tú te quedaste con todo mi ser).
Jade: Not a day went by that I didn't think about you. I imagined that you were happy and I was dying with jealousy to think that you were happy without me. This isn't a coincidence. All this was written before we were born.
Lucas: Jade, I will do what is necessary to be with you. I spoke to Marisa and told her that I want a divorce.
Jade: Does she know about us?
Lucas: Yes, she suspects something.
Jade: Oh Lucas, that is why she keeps hanging around Said (por eso se está acercando tanto a Said), she wants to tell him everything.
Lucas: I don't think she would do that. [Really? You don't know your wife very well.]
Jade: Of course she will do it. She will tell him and when she does...
Lucas: I only promise you one thing. I won't leave Morocco without you.
More kissing.
Ali is looking for Jade and believes that she went out with Zoraida. Zoraida is still looking for Jade in the medina. She finds Abdul who is scandalized that she would show herself in public dressed that way. She tells him that she and Jade got separated when they were out buying lamb. Abdul says that Jade will return to Ali's house and they should wait for her there.
Back at the ruins-
Jade: How can I go back to my house? What will I tell them?
Lucas: I will go with you and talk to your Uncle Ali.
Jade: No, of course not.
Lucas: Jade, we are risking more by meeting in secret. I believe the moment has come to face them (dar la cara, literally, give the face). There were many things I should have done for you and destiny made me pay. You married another man and I married another woman but here I am ready to be with you. Are you going to leave me alone?
Jade: No, never.
Lucas: Then?
Jade: Ok, I have to speak to Said face to face. I want him to hear it from me. That is the only thing I ask.
Lucas: Ok. When will you see him?
Jade: I won't wait until he comes back to Morocco. I want to meet with him in the US. I feel safer there. I can run away or call the police. But before that I have to talk to Tío Alí. We can't risk meeting before that. Let's meet in the US, ok?
Lucas: Whatever you want. My love, there is something that I have been dreaming about all these years and I would like to relive it here.
Jade: What is it?
Lucas: Would you dance for me?
Jade: Of course.
Back at Ali's, Abdul says that Jade is taking too long. Ali, as usual, is protecting her. He makes excuses. Jade returns and tells a lame story about bad lamb.
In the kitchen, Jade tells Zoraida that she met Lucas. He is going to separate from his wife and she will separate from Said and she and Lucas will be happy forever.
[I guess this is what the prophecy meant about the past meeting the future because this is the dreamy young Jade who seems to have forgotten why she went back to Morocco in the first place, forgotten about her daughter and forgotten about how Said promised to kill Lucas.]
Ramon loses the Naz's earrings to Gloria.
Alej tells Nati about how his mother was widowed when he was very young and she started the restaurant business from nothing and now she has the bar and restaurant in the Southwest and still takes care of him. Nati says that he is fortunate. Her mother doesn't know she exists. She is always at the club or a fashion show. She would like Nati to be like her - coiffed, made up, in high heels (tacones). Alej tells her that he likes her the way she is - transparent, authentic, precious. That is why he fell in love with her. Andrea witnesses them together.
The credits roll.
