We see the fields, the Herdez trucks and the fiesta. Carlota and Tony talk to the representative as Maripaz tries – and fails – to flirt with Ivan. Camilo is arrested as Saul and JJ gloat.

Nuevo

Casa McGuire: Tony, Ivan, David, and Benito talk about Camilo. Ivan says that it is impossible for Camilo to have done this. David informs them that the lawyer will be at the delegation in half an hour. Three of them leave, leaving Benito as the nanny of Bruno.

Meeting: JJ addresses the other ranchers, inciting them to get the McGuires extradited back to the US. Saul talks about arresting them both. Idiota.

Casa Curiel: Lucrazia goes on about how she hopes Camilo gets many years in prison.

Lucrazia: What has happened is that this boy has done what Senor Anthony told him to and I think it was because he has something to gain by it.
Carlota: I doubt it. Camilo knows perfectly well that Ivan and Tony would never help him if he did anything like this.
Lucia: Of course, and he would be a fool because he works here.
Maripaz: Perhaps he gave the order to do it.
Lucia: Ivan would never do that.
Lucrazia (with a dismissive gesture): Very well. The fact is that Camilo is detained. And for something. I always knew he was a bum, a social climber. I hope he's locked up for many years. I could accuse him of taking away our lands. So if Camilo is guilty Ivan is his accomplice.
Maripaz: Don't tell me Ivan gave those lands to his friend?
Lucia: They were not our lands. They were his to do with as he wished.
Carlota: Lucrazia, don't say these stupid things. Por favor. [?]
Lucia: Abue, he didn't do anything.
Carlota: I understand your position, hijita. In all, those lands are not up for discussion because Don Teodoro left them to Alicia. Punto.
Lucia: Poor Camilo.
Maripaz (with insinuation): And what are you worried about, little sister?
Lucia: I was thinking of his mother and his family.
Carlota: It's true. I'm sure Ivan is taking charge of this. This poor woman shouldn't be worried.
Maripaz: I'm bored. I'm leaving.

It's too bad that departure isn't permanent.


Police Station: Ivan and Tony talk to a lawyer who tells them that the report was anonymous. Camilo talks about his whereabouts on the day in question. He had worked at Rancho Socorro and gone home. He was asleep when the fires were set.

Casa Meandragon: Saul and JJ share a celebratory drink. JJ calls the lawyer and demands he be pulled out of a meeting. I wouldn't want this guy for a client.

Police Station: David explains how he and Camilo investigated the day after the fire by visiting every gas station to ask questions while Ivan visits Camilo in his cell. The lawyer explains that if the accuser identifies himself, things will become more complicated. In the lockup:

Camilo: Ivan, what happened?
Ivan: For the moment we're OK. If accuser remains anonymous and doesn't come forward you can get out here in a few days.
Camilo: Until when {?] Saul and Antolin organized this. Didn't I tell you that same day I saw them talking with El Gordo?
Ivan: No, no, no. Antolin? No. What has Saul to do with El Gordo?
Camilo: Don't know. But when they saw me Saul was looking at me with a satisfied smile.
Ivan: Y Gordo?
Camilo: Don't know, but my brother yes. Please don't tell my mother.
Ivan: But if you don't get out how do I justify you're not going home to sleep at your mother's house?
Camilo: I don't know. That you sent me on an assignment and I'll be gone for a few days.
Ivan: She won't believe me.
Camilo: Convince her. Please. Just for a few days.

They clasp hands in agreement.

Casa Curiel: Lucrazia tries to get Maripaz to move back in. Good luck. Lucrazia is wearing a proper sheath dress with opera-length pearls; Merry Piece is in ramerawear from Zorras R Us, the same store as Teresa's. Didn't think they had a branch in Alamos.

Lucrazia: Daughter, why don't you return home?
Maripaz: For what? So some strangers can stop talking about me living alone? They know nothing about being independent women. I'm not a little girl, I'm a divorced woman.
Lucrazia: If you want to be well received you'd come home to be home with your family.
Maripaz: Ja, mama. Ja.
Lucrazia: If the day comes that Señor Anthony leaves and stops paying the rent and giving you money...
Maripaz: Then I'll see what I feel like doing. David is doing well, making good money [anyone else get the rest here]
Lucrazia: Juan Jaime will never permit that.
Maripaz: He doesn't live with his father; he's independent. Same as me. Bye, mom.

She leaves. Lucrazia looks frustrated again.

Lucia and Ivan talk on the phone about Camilo's arrest. Same info as before. After she hangs up:

Carlota: What did he say?
Lucia: That Camilo's been arrested.
Lucrazia: Of course. Ivan and this bum are two of a kind.
Carlota: I've had it up to here with this sour milk and lack of comprehension on your part. Do you think Ivan is that stupid he'd order Cutberto's crops burned and let people think it was him?
Lucrazia: And who told you he's intelligent?
Carlota: At the least something should have come from his grandfather, no? He was a very intelligent man.
Lucrazia (sarcastic): Maybe so, but the mother?
Carlota: And who was your father? At best he was a drinker and I was a fool when he left me.
Lucrazia (condescending smile): Ay, mama.

She exits.

Lucia: Ay, abue. Don't say that.
Carlota: It's that I'm fed up with your mother's absurd attitude.
Lucia: I know.
Carlota: At the first opportunity she gets she says these things just to hurt. And who does she think she is? The Divine Garza who [anyone else get the rest here] She doesn't have the Curiels as she pretends. Here the only person with the blood of Don Teodoro is Ivan. But she always [muere, muere, muere.?] I'm tired of it!
Lucia: Abue...
Carlota: And you leave me alone, too. Abue, Abue, Abue....

She exits, exasperated (but we know she'll get over it). The phone rings.

Lucia: Bueno. Hi, Dad.
Gerry: Bueno, daughter. How are you?
Lucia: A little sad, because we'll have to postpone the trip.
Gerry: Why?
Lucia: A problem with one of Ivan's friends, Camilo.
Gerry: What's up? (Pause) You don't say.
Lucia: But he's innocent, Dad. You can be sure.
Gerry: Look daughter, I'm working on something important right now so I sent Carolina and Alex to visit her cousin by the sea.
Lucia: But I want to explain now how am I going to do that? How am I going to get him to trust me?
Gerry: He's a child. I can't believe he doesn't trust you. Why make things more complicated?
Lucia: Very well. What's the name of this town?
Gerry (fumbling): I don't remember at the moment but in a little while I'll talk to Carolina. Everything is OK. He's at the beach and the cousin is an agreeable person.

Lucia looks like she doesn't quite believe this.

Street: Saul chews out El Gordo, telling him that an anonymous phone call no sirve para nada and he needs to come forward. El Gordo refuses because he's afraid of Antolin. Saul finally tells him he will give him a million pesos to do this, then he can disappear with it. El Gordo's wheels are turning, gears scraping against each other, as he considers setting someone else up to this. Saul is desperate to get this done. At this point he seems just as afraid of JJ as El Gordo is of Antolin.

Casa Curiel: Ivan and Lucia talk about this; he accuses Saul and JJ. He describes JJ as perverse and vindictive and Saul as his puppet (títere); no other new info. Lucia mentions her conversation with her dad. Ivan tells her he's going to look for El Gordo.

Street: El Gordo talks to an accomplice to get him to go to the law to make the accusation. He is willing to give him 200K pesos (about $14,900 US) to do this. All he has to to is say he saw a blue truck that night. The accomplice isn't stupid, knowing that someone else would pay more, so El Gordo doubles his offer.

Cocina McGuire: Benito tells Carmen about Camilo's arrest.

Bar: Ivan searches for El Gordo and Saul. He finds out that they hung out a few days ago and had a few beers.

Casa Galvan: Carmen runs home to tell her mother about Camilo being arrested. Aracelia panics.



Commercial Break that leads with a promo for Protagonistas and tomorrow's Mujeres Asesinas about Irma de los Pesces.

Lockup, Night: The guard tells David and Camilo they have five minutes to talk. David brings Camilo some food and explains that if the accuser insists on remaining anonymous he will go free. Camilo raises the issue of JJ and Saul's involvement and David promises to talk to Judith the next day. As far as he's concerned he doesn't have a father or a brother, just friends who don't judge him and who now need justice. Olé, David!


Huatabampo, Cerca la playa: Antolin and Carolina take a walk.

Carolina: Alex is having a good time in my cousin's shop.
Antolin: Carolina, it occurs to me that you'll eventually run out of money to take care of you and Alex, and you need to think about Alex's school, medical expenses, ...
Carolina: We'll stay with my cousin and there are other possibilities.
Antolin: What?
Carolina: One, to help in the shop y otra is to teach braille at the local school for the blind run by nuns.
Antolin: That won't be much.
Carolina: That's not important to me. Alex can get used to another way of life. Also, my cousin is alone. It must feel to her like we dropped out of heaven.

Arecelia calls him to explain about Camilo's arrest. She's upset and crying. He tells Carolina he will have to leave her for two or three days to take care of business. He is going to track down El Gordo for his responsibility in this. Carolina tells him to be careful because without him she has nothing. Besos. Pardon me while I choke. These two have chemistry because she's no better than he is.

Casa McGuire: Aracelia calls Ivan to cry on his shoulder. He tries to reassure her that all will be well.

Casa Meandragon, evening: Saul and JJ talk about this more. Why didn't El Gordo show up? Because he's afraid of Antolin. He'll find someone else to take his place. JJ doesn't like this because the more people who get involved, the more likely things will go wrong. Meanwhile, Judith talks to David and they agree to meet the next day. She signs off just as JJ enters the room.

JJ: Who were you talking to?
Judith: My brother.
Esther: He invited us to dinner tomorrow.
JJ: Surely he did that just to get information out of us. Stuff against me. Surely this [fag?] has become a Judas.
Esther: How can you make that pronouncement against your own son?
JJ: Shut up. I forbid you. Do you understand? I forbid you to have anything to do with him.
Esther: You can't do that. He's your son.
JJ: I don't believe it. Surely you cheated on me.

Even Saul is shocked at this one. But only for a second. He handles this exactly the same way as JJ by believing what suits him for the moment.

Esther: How can you dare say that?
J: Well, as I said, he isn't mine. Now where is dinner? I'm dying of hunger.

He exits. Judith puts her hand on Esther's shoulder.

Esther: If God forgives me I have to say at times I hate him.
Saul: I think he does, too. Why don't you get a divorce?
Esther: Never.
Saul: Well, then what?

He exits.

Judith: Mama, Saul is right. Get a divorce.
Esther: That would be scandalous.
Judith: I don't believe that. Lucrecia is divorced well, Lucia doesn't talk much about it but all is calm.
Esther: But I love your father.
Judith: How can you love a man who treats you like a trapiador? It's offensive.
Esther: Daughter, when you marry a man under God, it's until death.
Judith: No, Mama. Ja, no. Ja, no.


Casa Galvan: As Antolin drives back, Ivan talks to Aracelia and Carmen. No new information here except that Carmen doesn't believe that Saul could do anything to Camilo because he's friends with Antolin. She has fewer IQ points than we thought.


Commercial Break

El Gordo's Sty: El Gordo assures Saul over the phone he has everything under control. He talked to someone and is going to pay him to make the accusation. A knock on the door gets him to sign off, thinking his pigeon has arrived. Antolin barges in and slugs him.

Antolin: Son of a bitch! I warned you not to mess with my brother! Did you? Yes or no?
El Gordo: What are you talking about? (but he's already cowering)
Antolin: You know perfectly well! (pulls out his knife) You have to decide if you want to live or die!
(slashes El Gordo's left arm; El Gordo starts squealing like a pig)
El Gordo: I swear I didn't do anything!
Antolin: I don't believe you! (wields the knife in El Gordo's face and I didn't get the rest)
El Gordo: I didn't do anything! Some other guy called the police and implicated your brother.
Antolin: What's his name? What's his name???
El Gordo: He said it was [Diego?]
Antolin: And you told him who was planning this?
El Gordo: No, of course not.
Antolin: Liar! Liar! The only delinquentes who knew about this were you and me. Where does he live?
El Gordo: I don't know, I swear.
Antolin: Don't make me shut your mouth permanently because I may do it yet.
El Gordo: Let me call him.
(Antolin shoves him so easily El Gordo's underwear must need cleaning by now)
Antolin: No, you don't.
El Gordo: My nose is bleeding. [like Antolin doesn't already know]
Antolin: Like I give a damn. [missed the next two lines as El Gordo gets the other guy on the phone]

The other guy has found out that Camilo is the person being accused and he doesn't want to have anything to do with this. Antolin snatches the phone and finds out that the other guy did nothing and that someone is willing to pay for an identifiable witness. He knew not to mess with the Galvans and did nothing. Antolin tosses the phone, then cuts El Gordo's left cheek (Is he a Dexter fan?) and tells him “Every time you look in the mirror you'll remember that nobody messes with my family. I will personally deal with Saul.” After he leaves, El Gordo has a tantrum that ends in impotent threats The phone rings and Saul gets back on his case.

Saul: What happened? You said you'd call me.
El Gordo: It's done. The guy will go down to the station and denounce in person.
Saul: Very well. Why are you so anxious?
El Gordo: I need the money NOW.
Saul: Very well.
El Gordo: Tomorrow morning. And in cash.
Saul: In [where?]
El Gordo: No!
Saul: Where? (brief pause) OK. See you tomorrow. (hangs up) Dad, it's all ready. The guy will go to the police and we'll hand over the money.
JJ: Sounds good to me.

Little do they know.

Casa Galvan: Antolin gets home and tells his mother he was in a fight because she sees the blood on his hands. He tells her he took care of things. She asked him where he was yesterday and he tells her he was out of town. She wonders why he won't settle down and maybe work with Camilo, but he doesn't want to talk about anything. He looks guilty as he begs off because he's tired. Aracelia doesn't press him further as he goes off to bed.

Casa McGuire: Ivan and Tony discuss Antolin's friendship with Saul. Ivan hopes he can find something out. Aracelia calls to tell him that Antolin took care of business and he will talk to him in the morning. Tony has doubts. He wants details.


Commercial Break starting with a promo for tonight's La Rosa de Guadalupe and tomorrows Cuando Me Enamoro.

Casa Galvan, morning: Carmen kisses Antolin, thanking him for taking care of things, then kisses her mother and her daughter before leaving for work. Antolin tells his mother he needs to get back to where he was because someone needs him. Aracelia asks if it's a novia and he doesn't want to talk. Lechita starts teasing him by singing the bridal march.

Office: JJ asks about the denuncia formal and the lawyer hasn't heard a thing. It was supposed to have been the day before.

In the park: El Gordo meets with Saul, who hands him the fat envelope of money.

Office: Licenciado Torres and JJ talk about the McGuire company, with JJ trying to make them sound contrary to Torres' information. More lies, as usual.

Casa Galvan: Ivan calls Antolin. They agree to meet at the police station.

Torres' Office: JJ is trying to convince the lawyer that the whole ugly mess is personal, even dragging Lucia and Maripaz and their rivalry over Ivan into it. Torres gets a call that nobody presented himself with the accusation. JJ and Saul just lost a pile of money. Boo hoo. Not.

Agricultural Office: The secretary adjusts her dress as JJ storms in looking for Saul; she tells him he's in the next room. JJ is furioso!

Saul (zipping up; he has obviously just boinked the secretary): What's up, Dad?
JJ (grabbing Saul by the ear): You are a [?] and only have flies in your head.
Saul: Why?
JJ: You made me look ridiculous in front of Torres.
Saul: How? I don't understand.
JJ: Because you don't think. It's a disaster. Nobody came forward with the accusation against Camilo Galvan as you told me.
Saul: But this guy did it last night.
JJ: It's not true. Licenciado Torres told me and the commandant confirmed it.
Saul: That can't be. (JJ hits him, but symbolically)
JJ: But it is. Now I want you out of my office, out of my house, and I'm canceling your credit cards. You'll make it with your own claws.
Saul: Oh, Dad, you can't do this.
JJ: Oh, yes, I can and I want to.
Saul: Papa, let me think, see what to do.
JJ: Your brother was right. Ivan is the right hand of God, and you two together don't even come up to his heels.

Regina at park alone reflecting and remembering, both have been close to me and they don’t have any idea that one of them is my daughter. Then she remembers her cheerful meetings and not so cheerful meetings with Nata, and her nasty meetings with Berta.

Berta with a very loud hissy fit to Gonzo and Matt at office, she is not happy at all that they are leaving her pennyless… she wants the money ‘she is due!’… Gonzo says you lost it with your attitude… More hissy fit, the family monarch, I never loved you as a dad, and you, are so nice you border on dumb… both of you will pay!! Its all Renata!! Always Renata!!

Ezeq with Alfon at Marina’s office, Alfon needs absolute bed rest for the rest of pregnancy. Ezeq promises to do everything he can for the wellbeing of his wife and his child (Alfo is moved that he said ‘his’)

Jero notices the missed call from Nata…

Nata and Adri… Nata thinks Jero might not have wanted to answer her call… Then Nata tells Adri it is her fault, with her book about interpreting dreams (the dream of Jero marrying Marina). Nata erases Jero’s number from her cell. The maid comes with a present… it is a beautiful emerald necklace from Augie ‘don’t forget you are a jewel for me, I love you’.. Nata says she will focus her energy on Augie, she has to be dreaming of Augie…

Kari and Lazaro. He is agreeing with the priest, if the priest wants them to wait lets wait. Kari is not so convinced. She won’t wait too long, just a few months. He takes his exit, he won’t even let her wait for him to have dinner together.

Berta and Fina, Fina tells Berta that drinking is not the solution, gives her a bunch of pills. Berta is very resentful that the men left her pennyless… Fina cheers her up showing her the bag full of $$.
And there will be more. You will have the same amount all for yourself. Berta says that’s what I want… money, lots of money, money I don’t have to beg anyone for. Fina tells her the inheritance money is due to her, for being the daughter of Roberto Gamba. Berta thanks her. Fina says as long as you have me you won’t need anything. We are rich! They look like they are flipping.

Jero and Alvaro… Alvaro hears Lazaro knows he is alive, and his condition (go away from Kari or let her know he is alive)… Alvaro says can’t do that. Jero says will have to. Alvaro will go back to jail, another jail with another identity. Alvaro goes beserk. Jero reminds him he and the penitentiary director saved him from death… but he is still a convict and will still have to do his time. Letting him free was never in the plan. Alvaro gets upset, how can he renounce Kari? Jero says as Lazaro is doing it. He always loved and respected her and never abused her. Alvaro insists he wants to recover her. Jero says Kari loves Lazaro. If they can’t be together is because you are alive. Lazaro is a gentleman and he is sacrificing himself. Jero warns if Alvaro is not in agreement, he will tell everyone he is alive, and Augie will try, and perhaps succeed, to kill him again. Jero says Alvaro has to forget about his previous live. If he gets out of jail he will have to begin a new life with a new identity and will not go back to his old one for Karina or for anyone. So what will it be? Do we say you are alive or do you forget about your past forever? Alvaro tells him he agrees but the moment Jero turns around, Alvaro is grunting and moving around and we can tell he really does not mean it.

Hono and Adri eating… Connie is a bit ansi since she can’t talk or move well. No news of the assailants yet. Nata is very quiet… Hono asks Adri what is the problem. She says have to make a decision, perhaps the most important of my life. Hono guesses right it is about Chema and Matt. Hono says he would not be an objective adviser, since his frictions with Chema. He thinks Chema is a good guy, but his relationship with his wife and his daughter is still not a good image for him. But it is not about Hono, but about Adri and her happiness. Hono tells Adri he wants her happiness, so if she chooses Chema he will accept that. He will not be rude or nasty to him. Adri thanks him.

Regina at church… she is praying to God to help her recover her daughter, whether it is Renata who cares about her, or Roberta, who hates her. The priest is closing the church, she can’t tell him about what is anguishing her, and offers to be there whenever she needs him and offers to walk her home. She relents but eventually accepts. He says remember God never abandons us.

Julieta meets up with Matt at a bar… she had called him and he had told her he was alone drinking so she came to ‘give him company’… he tells her he is officially divorced. She is happy for him and she doesn’t waste time to tell him she is interested in him. He is avoiding the subject after telling her she is beautiful and fun to be around, but eventually has to tell her he is not interested in her because he is in love with another woman. She says since things with that woman don’t seem to work out I want you to let me hang around as a good friend… Yeah right.

Adri gets to her bedroom and remembers the night in the kitchen with Chema, then the kisses with Matt… she has decided, it is you who I want to be with (Matt?). (wow this woman has 3 ounces of mascara on! Que barbara!!)

Gonzalo arrives at Ines house, he can’t find Gina, she skipped her escorts at the mall, they closed the mall and she is not there. Ines is reluctant but wonders if she is with ‘that woman’. She ends up having to tell Gonzalo, even though Gina does not want her to tell him, that Gina went to meet Pepa after Pepa called her and asked for money. Gonzo had no idea. Ines is sure Pepa has to do with Gina’s dissappearance. Gonzo gets a call on cell from her escorts, she just arrived home with a man.

Nata is trying to call Augie to thank him for the necklace but can’t get through. She is about to put the phone down but instinctively dials another number while mumbling to herself ‘I erased you, Jero, I erased you’. She gets a call from Jero returning her call. She gives him the excuse that she called him about the no interest loan. She is not in agreement. Jero says that loan had no interest. She says no way. He asks her to please keep it that way. He asks her if there was anything else. She says you will be think I am silly or crazy but I have to tell you I dreamed with you, that you married Marina. And Adri said if you dream with a wedding, it might mean death so I wanted to make sure you are alright. Jero asks would you mind if anything happened to me?
R: Independent of the fact that our relationship did not work out, Jero, I care. I am a Renata before and after you.
J: You mean in spite of everything I made you suffer?
R: In spite of everything.
J: Well, yes. I too am a Jero before and after you. (she grabs a pillow trying to contain the emotion and not reveal it over her voice)
R: Well, that was it. And… I hope that the Jero after me will be very… very happy.
J: The Renata of after is not at my side, but I would have wanted for the Renata of before to have found happiness with me. And although I am to blame for her tears, I am so sorry it did not happen that way.

Augie is confirming that the jewel was delivered then he has a quiet hissy fit that Nata has not called him to thank him. Any woman would have gone crazy with a gift like that…. (not her and not from you, jerk!!)

Ezeq is giving Alfo some tlc in bed… He asks her why she was unfaithful to him. She says because a woman needs to feel loved, admired, wanted. And it had been long since he had been taking her for granted. He says that was the case, he always loved her and wanted her. She says it did not look like it.. you forgot to pamper me, and I know it is not justification but he kept seducing me and I ended up falling in the temptation. He says he is sorry. She is too for betraying him. He says we all do. She says not you, you have always been faithful. (he leaves the room, remembers his ‘adventure’ with Berta, and then leans on the wall asking himself why he slept with Ms Roberta. What face would I reprieve anything of you, Alfonsina?)

Kari brings Lazaro a bag dinner… he is still very avoiding of her… she knows something is up with him. He won’t tell, gives excuse that he is worried about affording the house he wants to build her. She says I don’t want a house, but his smile. Because that his how she feels, that his smile was stolen. He says she is wrong. He kisses her on forehead and even leaves the food behind. He is not hungry. (this is nasty to watch… poor Kari, all her life she has only wanted to be able to love him and be happy, but now she can’t figure out his change of mind).

Fina is enjoying all the money at her bed… she is sure Gina’s nightmare has just started. Between Berta and her, they will make Gina’s life miserable.

Gonzo catches up with Gina at her house… he yells at her about her escaping the escorts and not telling him where she went. He is a bit rude asking her why she did not tell him Pepa called. He does tell her Ines was the one that told him. But don’t blame her, she was worried about you too. Gina demands that she take care of herself, she has always been able to, and don’t want any more pressure from you or anyone! Gonzo takes it in stride and leaves her alone to calm down.

Gina goes to see Ines to yell at her for betraying her trust by telling Gonzo about Pepa. No matter what Ines says how worried she and Gonzalo were, Gina can only see the chance of having put her daughter’s life in danger. If you can’t keep a secret, stay away from me! I won’t risk my daughter’s life for anything or for anyone!

Nata and Augie finally hook on phone. She thanks him. He says nothing is too much for you, you are going to be my wife and my queen. She says don’t need to show it with jewels. He says now jewels, later trips, kisses, caresses, showing his great love.

Isidro gets home to a very upset Ines, she tells him what happened, he is in agreement with Gina, he had warned her not to tell Gonzo about Pepa. We had no right to interfere. What she is going through is very tough. She never thought she would have to live through that to find her daughter. Ines knows he is right, but Gina’s words hurt her bad. Isidro says don’t worry, Gina has a great heart, give her some time and space, she will come around.

Jero and Padre hook up in town, Jero talked to Lazaro. Jero wishes he had never been involved in Alvaro’s mess. Now he would not be dying with guilt and Kari and Lazaro would be able to marry happily. Padre switches the subject to Jero and Marina. Asks Jero what he feels for Marina, doesn’t want Jero to hurt her. Jero assures him he is not playing games, he wants it to work out between them.

At the gym, seems Berta’s membership was not renewed by Matt, She chews out the receptionist, who checks the system and tells her she will have to pay the renewal for her membership.
Sele comes by, and mocks Berta a bit on the scene… can’t believe it, you will be the gossip in town. Everyone knows your dad left your mom, and it seems also you. Berta asks why you treat me like that, Sele says that’s the treatment traitors deserve. Sele reprieves that Berta got in bed with Renata’s new guy at the hacienda. Just in time for Diego to join in the ‘lets mock Berta’ party.
They all suggest she leave. Berta insults them before leaving angry.

Gina goes to visit Connie, tells her she knows about Pepa and Fina being one and the same and that either Renata or Berta is her daughter. Connie thinks omg, Tell everyone!! I wish I could tell you, I am sure Nata is your daughter! Gina says she thinks it is Nata, since she saw her, she felt something special for her. (remembers their first encounter).

In comes Nata in real time. Gina is impactada to see her again.
Later Gina tells Nata she was telling Connie that she has always been Gonzo’s lovechild. Then Gina asks Nata why she never had a good relationship with her mother. Nata says I think it is because her mom always saw Berta as the weak one, because she has a cardiac issue, she inherited it from their dad. Gina turns away and gets ansy saying her daughter too had a cardiac issue.

Berta arrives home, seems to have an issue with her heart, is out of breath. She faints and the maid runs to Connie’s. The maid tells them Berta was out of breath and fainted. Gina concludes quietly ‘Then it is her! Berta!’

Previews: Jero tells Carlos that Fina killed his brother; he will send Fina to jail for good.

REPRISE
Oriana offers to pay off Teresa in exchange for leaving her son alone. Oriana wants to know how much it will take for Teresa to disappear. Teresa asks, “How much is your son’s happiness worth?”

If Teresa stays with Fernando, she can have many millions, so she hopes Oriana’s offer is generous enough. Oriana sneers that Teresa is shameless.

Teresa says, if she agrees, Fernando will suffer. Oriana points out it will be temporary. Besides, he’s going to suffer anyway.

Teresa is interested to see how far Oriana can go with her proposal, as she contemplates her new tax bracket. Oriana says she will make an estimate.

Instead of fighting with her son and losing capital, she will pay Teresa very well, with the one condition that she stay away permanently from Fernando.




HOSPITAL – GRAMP’S ROOM
Before Gramp’s surgery, Patty wants to have a word. She says she loves him and he’s been like the father she didn’t have, because her father didn’t love her... but she doesn’t know why...


POLICE STATION
Aurora and Mariano are talking through the bars of his jail cell. Mariano is lamenting that he won’t be able to marry her if he ends up in prison. He whispers, “True love thinks about the other before oneself”. (The hearts of Caray ladies everywhere melted in that very instant).

Aurora says she will be by his side in any circumstance; she loves him.


He doesn’t want her coming to the jail because she doesn’t belong in a place like that. She doesn’t care, she’ll go anywhere for him, because she can’t be without him. Awwww (barf)



HOSPITAL WAITING AREA
Juana and Patty are waiting for Gramps’ to get out of surgery. Juana vents that Krassberto came home at five in the morning. His excuse was he was out “singing”.

Just then Nerdberto walks up with a black eye, and Juana looks oddly guilty. He says Juana is now his “jealous husband of Teresa.”

Ah, if he only had a brain...


POLICE STATION
Mariano meets with Teresa and is skeptical of her motives. Teresa can’t understand why everyone thinks the worst of her! (She actually said that).

The police captain walks in and announces that Mariano has been formally arrested and will be transferred to the penitentiary for an unknown number of years.

Mariano blows his stack and goes after the captain. Teresa yells for him to calm down as this will only complicate things.

She maintains Mariano is innocent; she saw Ruben and Geno dispose of the body. The captain says until that is proven, Mariano is going to prison.

Mariano is very surprised to hear this.

He wonders if Teresa made it up to help him. Teresa assures him it’s true.


GENO'S HOUSE
Ruben suggests he and Geno leave the country, but not yet, to avoid suspicion.

Geno knows it will be their word against Teresa’s but still is nervous and wants to leave. She’s worried “la gata” Esperanza knows they are a couple.

Ruben is confident Esperanza won’t talk. As long as he and Geno are on the same page, there won't be problems.


POLICE STATION
Teresa vows she won’t rest until it’s proven that Ruben and Geno killed Fito. Mariano wants to talk with Aida. Teresa warns that Aida just thinks Teresa is out to ruin her father.

Arturo enters and says it’s time to go. He spoke to some acquaintances and assures Mariano they will solve this case.





LUCIA'S HOUSE
Oriana is lamenting to Lucia that Luisa will not be the mother of her grandchildren. However, Oriana says she took a major step toward resolving the problem with Teresa.


GRAMPS’ HOSPITAL ROOM
Dr. Dario tells Patty and Gramps that everything went well. However, Gramps will have to quit working to avoid future problems with his gastritis FF>>



POLICE STATION
Aida is screeching about how Teresa lied about Ruben. Aurora tells everyone to hush and remember that Mariano’s freedom is at stake.




LEDESMA HOME
A courier arrives and gives Esperanza a letter which requires her signature. Just then, Ruben arrives and snatches it from her.

Ruben opens it and sees that it is a court summons (citatorio). He warns her that she better not say anything about his affair with Geno.

He says as soon as he has money, he, Esperanza, and the baby are leaving. He threatens that if she tells anyone about this, the baby dies.




TERESA’S HEARTBREAK HOTEL
Teresa smooches with Fernando. He’s distracted with problems at work, his mom, and Luna Turqueza. Teresa mentions she has to be at the notary’s office at five to file for divorce. Now she's the one who's distracted.



HOSPITAL WAITING AREA
Juana and Patty spot Aurora and ask for the latest news about Mariano. Aurora says Mariano was taken to prison. They can’t believe it and move in for a hug. (Add Patty to the mix and that’s a sandwich I’d like to be in the middle of!)



ARMANDO’S GRAVE SITE
Through lots of tears, Teresa kneels at Armando’s grave. The most important thing, she says, is for him to be proud of her. She doesn’t want to sign her divorce papers because she still loves Arturo, but she can’t leave behind her dreams. The scene ends as she wails, “I don’t know what to do, papi, I don’t know what to do..."



LUCIA'S HOUSE
Arturo tells Lucia that Teresa didn’t show up to sign the divorce papers. Arturo begrudgingly says she is the one that wanted the divorce. Lucia asks if he thinks Teresa has repented. But even so, could Arturo forgive all that Teresa has done? What about what Teresa did to Luisa? Arturo looks despondent. Lucia turns and quickly leaves; apparently there's a sale on tube tops at the skank store.



PENITENTIARY
Aurora visits Mariano in prison. She’s brought him some fritters from Juana. (Wow, she’s hot and she brings snacks!)

Aurora tells him that Arturo has been in contact with the best criminologists – Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred.

Then Mariano says that he and Aurora should break up because he doesn’t want her tied to him (since he doesn’t know how long he’s going to be imprisoned).

Aurora is stunned. She asks, “Do you really want to end our engagement?”

Mariano says, “It’s for the best, my love.”

WHACK!!!! Aurora slaps Mariano!

She yells, “HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME! You said you wanted to be with me forever! These are terrible moments we are going through, but they’re part of our lives together!! I’m not so weak as to be unable to endure whatever comes!!”

GRAMPS HOSPITAL ROOM
Gramps throws a few insults about Johnny and says he is inhuman. Patty is beside herself and says that she and Johnny have tried to be patient with him, but he doesn’t cooperate. She and Johnny have proven they love each other, what is Gramps’ problem?

Gramps says it’s time to tell Patty about her father. Patty is right when she says that her father didn’t want or love her. He says that back in their village at that time being a single mother was taboo.

So Gramps forced Patty’s father to marry her mother. He turned out to be a playboy and treated her mother and Patty very badly. (My cable service was temporarily interrupted, but I think they said he may not have actually been Patty’s biological father, yet Gramps forced him to marry Patty’s mother anyway.)

He asks Patty for her forgiveness. He lost the love of her mother because he forced her to marry, and now he’s afraid he’s losing Patty too. Patty says she loves him and he is the one she has always loved.


TERESA’S ARRIBISTA INN
Oriana shows up in the library. Teresa says she must be there because she knows how much money she is going to offer. Oriana says, “You guessed right. You and I are not friends that I’d make a social visit.”

Oriana offers five million dollars in exchange for Teresa to disappear from Fernando’s life. Teresa says, “Ma’am, the love of my life is Fernando.” Oriana is astonished.

To her surprise, Fernando suddenly enters and bitterly says, “What a disappointment, mama, I can’t believe you were capable of being so low!!” Oriana says, “Wait a minute, let me explain...“ “I don’t want you to tell me ANYTHING!! I’M ASHAMED that you’re my mother!!!”, Fernando exclaimed.

Oriana snaps, “What is this Teresa? You set a trap?!” Fernando says it is the pinnacle of what Oriana has come to in order to destroy his happiness. He says like it or not, Teresa is his happiness.

Teresa chimes in, “Fernando, madam, is the love of my life. Your millions don’t interest me.” Oriana says, “What my child has with you is a lie!”

Fernando says, “No mama. What is a lie is the relationship you and I had!!”

“Fernando, do not be silly. Realize that Teresa only wants your money.”

Fernando says it is unfair that just because he will not do her will, Oriana is going to break up their companies, costing him millions, and push for him to lose his inheritance. Oriana says that’s just what she’s going to do.

Fernando tells Oriana to GET OUT of the house!! Oriana says, “Of course I’m going. And I’ll see you in court!! And I assure you there will come a day when you will regret having trusted in that arribista!!” Fernando yells, “OUT, OUT, GET OUT!!” as he slams the door behind her and his tail feathers ruffle.



Distraught, Fernando turns around, leans against the stairs and cries.


Teresa, practically gloating, dawns a despicable, facetious grin.









PENITENTIARY
Beautiful Aurora visits again and slips Mariano some "payola" money. They’ve patched things up and will fight this situation together. Mariano admits he was stupid to suggest they break up.

Sigh...sometimes guys just have to admit that women are goddesses and men don’t deserve them...



CACERES HOME
Ruben is greasing the skids with Aida for his escape. He says he sometimes just wants to go away and start a new life. He invites Aida to come with him.

Aida says as long as Mariano is in prison, she’s not going anywhere. Ruben says Mariano preferred Aurora, and for that, he should rot in jail.

Aida tells Ruben she’s sorry she hasn’t been very supportive in the pursuit of his son, but from now on, she will do everything possible to help him find Rodrigo. Where should they start...? Ruben looks annoyed.



HEARTBREAK HOTEL
In the aftermath of the fight with Oriana, Teresa is comforting Fernando.

Teresa says this is only the beginning, because he will have to face Oriana in court. This is going to further deteriorate the relationship with his mother and his family.

Teresa, because she “loves” Fernando so much, offers to step aside and disappear. If it will give him more of a chance to salvage his relationship with Oriana, then she’s willing to do it - for Fernando’s sake of course.

She then offers to be Fernando’s legal representative so she can possibly negotiate with Oriana to reach an optimal agreement.



CACERES HOME
Aida wants to know why Ruben won’t answer her.

Ruben gives her a line that the police are in charge and he doesn’t want Aida getting involved and possibly getting into trouble.




HOSPITAL - AURORA’S OFFICE
Some investigators are leaving Aurora’s office as Aida arrives. Aida asks Aurora if it’s ok for her to visit Mariano. Aurora agrees.

As part of the investigation, Aurora needs Aida’s full cooperation: she asks Aida if it’s possible that Ruben and Geno were having an affair. Aida flashes back to Mayra telling her that she saw Geno and Ruben kissing. Aida says although it’s painful to admit it, yes it’s possible.



ARRIBISTA INN, BAR & GRILL
Fernando is in a daze. Teresa has the paperwork prepared for her to become Fernando’s legal representative. (That was fast!) She eagerly gives him a pen and tells him she just needs his signature.

Fernando hesitates, but Teresa sweet talks him. Eventually he gives in, as he tells Teresa he will confide in her; and she is keen to remind him to sign each sheet.

After Fernando signs the paperwork, Teresa is eager to get to work. Fernando says, not so fast – he wants to take Teresa to the notary to get her divorce.

He suspects Teresa missed her appointment at the notary yesterday because she’s having second thoughts about the divorce. Teresa assures him there was just a lot of traffic.

As Fernando leaves to get ready, Teresa says under her breath, “Fernando, I have you in my hands.”

Suddenly Arturo arrives and wants to know why Teresa missed the divorce appointment. He says Mariano told him she fell in love with him in Europe, and asks if it’s true. Does she want a divorce or did she just get angry to find Lucia kissing him?

Fernando crashes the discussion. As he and Arturo gear up for a fight, Teresa gets them to calm down. They make arrangements to meet later to sign the divorce papers.



PENITENTIARY
Some inmates gather around Mariano. One thug wants revenge because Mariano killed Fito. (I think the thug was an associate of Fito’s). Mariano denies killing Fito and doesn’t want any problems, but the fight is inevitable. The thug pulls a knife and a scuffle ensues.

Mariano gets the upper hand in the fight. He pounds the thug and demands he tell him everything he knows about Fito. The thug says he’s no snitch. Mariano says everyone has a price – want to talk?



GENO'S HOUSE
Ruben and Geno talk about their escape. Ruben suggests he take “Paulito” while Geno gets money. Geno doesn’t seem to trust him. With disturbing glee, Ruben tells Geno he loves her more because he owes her even more. She killed two birds with one stone. Mariano will not be able to be near Aida and will spend many years in prison paying for the murder of Fito, whom she killed.

HEARTBREAK HOTEL
Teresa is leaving to court to get her divorce. Fernando wants to go, but Teresa talks him out of it. He obeys her like Teresa is his new mama.

Fernando insists that as soon as Teresa has filed for divorce, they both go to her mom to tell her that she is going to marry him.

Teresa doesn’t think that’s such a good idea because Refugio is still mourning, but eventually she relents.



PENITENTIARY
Mariano and some investigators are talking with Aida. She can’t believe what she is hearing. Aida previously told Mariano that Geno wanted a son, and Ruben was capable of anything to annoy Esperanza.

The investigators say Geno had motive because Fito caused the death of her son. Moreover, the thug snitched after all: he said Ruben hired Fito to steal Rodrigo. However the investigators need hard evidence as it is difficult to accept the testimony of a paid inmate.

Aida asks to know everything the inmate said. The investigators are leery of involving Aida. Because of her relationship to the suspects, she may tip them off. Aida promises she will not do that this time.



DIVORCE COURT
The notary arrives and Teresa and Arturo tell him they want a divorce, as they take verbal jabs at each other.


The notary says, “Sometimes there are problems in a marriage and the couple decides to divorce. But that does not mean the next relationship will not have problems... Are you sure that love is not enough to save your marriage?”




At this, Teresa bursts out into uncontrolled sobbing. Arturo consoles her as she breaks down into bitter, unrestrained crying...

Will she go through with the divorce?

Some scenes have been combined

Teresa tells Artie she witnessed Geno and Ruben dumping the body. She tells Art there’s a connection between them and Fito. Mariano figured out that Fito was selling drugs to Paulo and even provided the description to the cops. That’s why that desgraciado Fito disappeared and couldn’t continue selling drugs and started to……um….Art wonders what Fito started doing. Teresa recovers and says that’s why Fito started to run, of course. Art has no idea how happy she is that Fito’s dead (he may not know, but Viewerville does!) She condemns Fito for poisoning everything with his drugs. Their problem at present is that Mariano has no alibi (coartada). Art wonders what Fernando would say if he knew she is defending Mariano. Cue Jaws theme and a look at Ferneanderthal waiting at Casa Teresa while he calls Teresa. She doesn’t answer. Arturo recalls what a good team they once made but she’s ruined even that. Doesn’t she feel bad about everything she’s provoked? She wonders why he never believed she fell in love with him and why he took her back to that vecindad. He tells her he had good reason to doubt her. WHY did she do this to him. Is money really more important than what they had? She reminds him they’re there to help with Mariano and need to get back to work. He tells her to leave if it bothers her that much, he doesn’t need her.

CASA TERESA: Ferneanderthal leaves a voicemail for Teresa asking her to call him back. He wants to know what happened with Arturo. Did he agree to the “Divorcio Express”? Plus, they had dinner plans and he’s waiting for her. Fer is looking a bit disheveled.

BACK AT THE POLICE STATION, Teresa tells Arturo she can testify in Mariano’s defense (en su descargo) and that’s what she plans to do. She realizes that by doing so, she’ll implicate Geno and Ruben in Fito’s murder but she did see them. He wants to make sure she understands this may result in their arrest. She swears she’s telling the truth. She’s not just saying so in order to save Mariano. He knows that someone in love is capable of anything. He knows that only too well. She repeats that she’s telling the truth. It was Geno and Ruben! Geno must hate the man who sold drugs to her son – enough to murder him! She is capable of doing so to avenge the death of Paulo. As for Ruben, he may not have helped in the murder but he did help with the disposal of the body. He sure as heck helped because they’re ----wait for it ---- amantes! Arturo’s all, “¿Que?” She realizes he doesn’t believe everything she says but it’s the truth. Esperanza told her. They have to get the police to investigate. She plans to make her statement today. Arturo wants to wait and tell Aida first (huh?). Teresa thinks Aida will only run and warn Genoveva and Ruben. Well, duh.

CASA LEDESMA: Esperanza is praying that the police find her baby. She prays Ruben isn’t involved in his return. She doesn’t want to go with him; she loves her husband.

POLICE STATION: Aida gives Aurora the good news that she’s managed to get her in to see Mariano, but only for 25 minutes. She may not be a great lawyer but she knows how to get things done. She asks Aurora to tell him to be patient and to let him know they’re doing everything possible to get him out of here. Aurora’s worried that Aida seems doubtful. Aida explains that in situations like this it’s not so much what happens, it’s what you can prove.

CASA LEDESMA: Pati arrives and tells Esperanza that Fito is dead, frito, patas pa’rriba! Before she can tell her Mariano’s being held as a suspect, Espe gets a call from Rubinfeliz saying he’s received pictures of the baby, who happens to be lying there ever so quiet. I was hoping he’d let out a good cry, but it didn’t happen. Ruben says he looks great and hopes to have him soon so he can start living with her. Ugh. He’s coming over with the photos and he’ll be careful not to cross paths with her hubby. Esperanza gives Pati a letter for Hernan in the event anything should happen. Pati wants to know why this is necessary. Is Espe planning to abandon her husband? (pretty sharp cookie, that Pati) Espe weeps and says she loves her husband with all her heart. She wants to be with him the rest of her life. There are things in that letter that she’d like to say to Hernan that she can’t bring herself to say to him in person. She asks Pati to keep the letter and not ask any questions. Hernan arrives..

POLICE STATION: Teresa tells Arturo he must think like a lawyer. In order for justice to be done, he can’t be warning anyone or show considerations for Aida or anyone. She reminds him of what a sinverguenza Ruben has turned out to be. He shouldn’t be surprised Ruben is Geno’s accomplice. And he knows how Aida is, she’ll go straight to Daddy either to admonish him or warn him. Either way, it will interfere with justice.

WITH BARS BETWEEN THEM, Mariano swears his innocence to Aurora. She tells him Arturo, Aida and Teresa are working to prove his innocence. He’s surprised to hear Teresa is there. He doesn’t want Aurora to think he called Teresa. She says she doesn’t doubt him. Teresa? Well, that’s another matter. Arturo walks in and Mariano chooses this awkward moment to tell them both that when Teresa was on the brink of death, she confessed she fell in love with Arturo while in Europe. **ok, this wouldn’t be on my mind if I was being charged with murder, but a little tweak on the ol’ beanie and I’m good to go**

CASA DE GENOVENOM: Rubinfeliz tells Geno he’s been talking to Aida about her. No, no, not about their affair but he’s slowly preparing her. It will help that Geno’s made him her partner in the real estate agency (inmobiliaria) and helping him so much. Geno loves her and would hate to lose her if she were to find out about them. On the contrary, he says, Aiiiida is so grateful and he’s so happy to see that she will be able to share everything with him. Ruben seems so happy, he’s beaming! He wants to take the baby for an outing. Geno wants to come along because she doesn’t want to leave Roddy alone. Ruben reminds her he won’t be alone, he’s with his father. She responds that she’s his mother by love and by everything that is legal. She registered Paulito and got his birth certificate. As of today, he’s hers. She’s registered him as though she were a single mother and he carries her surnames. He’s not too happy and doesn’t understand why she’s done this. She explains they couldn’t register him with Ruben’s name and they don’t have adoption papers. They’ve agreed to share everything. She’ll share her fortune with him and he’ll share his baby with her. Sigh, she thinks they are the perfect couple. She kisses him and he does the ol’ Sharkita eye-roll!

CASA LEDESMA: Hernan is glad to hear that Johnny or Pati will no longer have to fear Fito but he’s worried about Mariano. He heads back to work and Pati excuses herself to use the facilities before she leaves. No sooner does Pati leave the room than the big bad wolf comes knocking on Esperanza’s door. Unlike the 3 little piggies, she doesn’t ask who’s there and Rubinfeliz waltzes right in! He shows her a picture of Rodriguito. ROTFL, the little tyke looks like he’s growing a ‘stache just like the old man! HAHAHA! Anyway, poor Espe is crying, asking for another picture. He agrees but before that, he kisses her. EEEEEWWW!! Pati comes back in the room just in time to see this but she sneaks back out. Espe begs him to leave, explaining her sister-in-law is there and might see everything. She asks him to at least leave her the photo. They begin to struggle with the photo and end up tearing it in two. Pati runs back and yells out to Espe acting as though she can’t find her wallet. Ruben makes a hasty escape. When Pati comes back in she tells Espe not to bother trying to lie, she saw everything.

Espe shows her the picture of Rodriguito and they both cry over it. She explains that while the police haven’t been able to find him, Ruben has managed to get info although she doesn’t know how he’s done it. They even gave him Rodriguito’s medalla. They haven’t told the police because the kidnappers only want to deal with Ruben. They’ve asked him for a lot of money. Pati thinks this all sounds strange. (gee, you think?) Espe explains Ruben’s plan to bring the baby to her if she agrees to take off with him. Pati tells her she can’t abandon Hernan. Espe explains having to choose between them is the worst thing that has ever happened to her but she’s willing to do anything if it will bring her baby back to her. Pati tells her she should at least tell Hernan. If Espe doesn’t, she will! Yay, Pati!

VECINDAD: Ferneanderthal manages to walk upright and runs into Doofberto looking for Teresa. Doofberto gives him the 411 on Teresa being at the jail, defending Marianito. Ferneanderthal is furious, flaring nostrils and all!

POLICE STATION: Hector has arrived to offer his help. Aurora was afraid he’d be angry with Mariano. Hector knows that if anyone respects life, it’s Mariano.

Teresa gives her statement and we see a flashback of the “uno, dos, y TRES” scene where Geno and Ruben throw the body into the canal. I never tire of seeing that. The detective asks Teresa what she was doing there. She explains they were once associates of her husband and her. She suspected them of something underhanded (turbio) and she had to find out. Well, she had been told they were lovers and she wanted to confirm that because one cannot be associated with dishonest people, right? She repeats the bundle was a bag such as the one in the police photo. She’s sure it was them that threw Fito’s body into the canal. She has no reason to lie. Detective wants to know what her relationship is with Mariano. She explains they were once neighbors and she knows him to be a good and honest man incapable of doing such a thing. Detective asks if she’s sure that’s the extent of their relationship. She tells him her relationship with Mariano is not relevant. What is important is her testimony of what happened. Besides, this is a statement, not an interrogation. So there!

Elsewhere in the precinct a very Furious Fernando has arrived looking for blood! He asks Aida, of all people, if Teresa is there. Aiiiida tells him of course she’s there to defend Mariano. Not only that but guess who is teaming with her? Arturo! Nyah, nyaha! Who would’ve thunk it! Teresa and Arturo are working very closely together to liberate Mariano.

Teresa signs her statement. She and Arturo insist that they now free the good Doctor Sanchez and detain Genoveva and Ruben. No can do, says Dick Tracy. They have up to 72 hours.

As he’s saying this, in comes Fernando who angrily accuses Arturo of defending Mariano only to be near Teresa who he grabs by the arm and demands to know why she’s with this infeliz, meaning Arturo.

CASA LEDESMA: Espe desperately begs Pati not to tell Hernan. If she does, Ruben won’t give her the baby. She must have her baby back. After that, she’ll figure out a away to escape or something but for now, she can’t leave Ruben alone with him. Ruben is capable of disappearing and not handing him over to her, or, well she doesn’t know what all. She begs Pati to promise not to say anything to Hernan.

VECINDAD: Juana is beside herself to find out that Dumberto told Fernando where Teresa is. Dumberto says he just answered Fernando’s question about Teresa’s whereabouts. But he thinks he made a mistake, cuz it looked like Fernando was angry. Juana is still convinced that Teresa isn’t involved with Fernando.

BACK AT THE POLICE STATION, Fernando continues to manhandle Teresa while all the cops just stand around looking all official-like. He demands to know why she’s involved in defending Mariano. She breaks away from him and Arturo intervenes. Fernando shoves him back and reminds him she wants nothing more than to divorce him. Arturo says she’s only doing so to get at Fer’s money. As he’s told him before, Fernando will spend his time being jealous, wondering if she’s with Arturo or Mariano. Captain finally speaks up, telling them both to calm down or off to the pokey with both of them! Now Hector joins in, admonishing both Arturo and Fernando, telling them both to handle things in a civilized manner. The Captain warns Arturo to behave or he will be denied access to the precinct. Hector appreciates Teresa wanting to help Aurora but he thinks it’s best she leave now. She explains she was there to give her statement. She’s already done that, so she’s leaving. She tells Aurora she can count on her if she needs her help. Aiiiida cattily says Adios to Teresa who reminds her that she who laughs last, laughs best!

VECINDAD: Doofberto is busy watering plants and Pati seeks his advice. Oh boy, is she in trouble! He assumes Johnny’s done something but she explains it has to do with Esperanza but before she can say anything, the other genius, Johnny, comes running in to tell her Grumpy Gramps has been taken to the hospital, vomiting blood. EEEEEW! The Princess, the Frog, and the Jester all rush off for the hospital.

POLICE PRECINCT: Hector tells Arturo he’s very sorry for what’s happening between him and Teresa because of his ex-buddy. Aiiiiida chimes in that this is what Teresa provokes. Arturo changes the subject back to Mariano. He’s admitted knowing Fito, fighting with him and threatening to kill him. Arturo tells them Mariano will remain detained but he’s managed to keep him from being transferred to prison. He explains Teresa has issued a statement shedding new info on the situation but until that info is verified, nothing will change. Aiiida is anxious to know what was in that statement but Arturo wisely refuses to divulge that for now. Hector didn’t know who Fito was and Aiiida fills him in, telling him Fito was a drug dealer and lived in the same vecindad as Teresa. She’s agitated because for so long she wanted justice for Paulo and now that Fito is dead, she can’t relax because Mariano’s been unjustly accused of his murder.

Outside, Fernando drags Teresa through the door (on his way to his Neanderthal cave, I guess). He demands to know, again, why she insists on defending Mariano. Her relationship with him ended long ago so what could it matter to her if he’s free or if he rots in prison? Basta!, she tells him. Even though she stopped loving Mariano long ago, she has to be there for him because he saved her life and he’s saved her mother’s life on numerous occasions. Besides he’s her BFF’s novio. She also has information that could prove his innocence. Through clenched teeth, he reminds her he left Luisa, is confronting (enfrentar) his mother and stands to lose many things…..she trumps him, reminding him that she lost her father because she’s divorcing Arturo. She accuses him of caring only about what he’s lost. He backs off and apologizes, saying he didn’t mean it that way. She tells him if he’s going to continue to complain about everything he’s lost, he can just forget it! She thought he wanted to be with her and not care about anything else just as she’s done but apparently that’s not how it is. It’s best they just end it now. She hails a cab and all he can do is bang on the window and scream out her name as the cab drives off. Ooooooh, he’s angry! He is getting scary. I think Sharkita is biting off more than she can chew!

Inside, Aiiida is taking her leave. When they’re alone, Arturo explains to Hector and Aurora what Teresa saw. He didn’t want to say anything in front of Aiiiida so that she wouldn’t warn Ruben. Arturo hasn’t noticed that Aiiiida hasn’t really left and has heard everything. Arturo explains Geno’s and Ruben’s motives for killing Fito. Aiiiiida can’t take it anymore and bursts in saying these are all lies fabricated by Teresa to hurt her. She just wants to destroy Ruben because of his prior convictions. Arturo also tells her Espe’s story of finding Geno and Ruben in a compromising position. Lies, all lies, says Aiiiiiida. Everything that rrrrrrrata says are lies and Arturo, more than anyone, should know this.

VECINDAD: Juana arrives at her apartment to find Teresa who fills her in on Mariano’s case. Juana tells her the bad news that Jughead snitched to Fernando about her whereabouts. Teresa rants about Jughead. Juana changes the subject back to Fernando. She wants to know the truth. Teresa tells the story of Arturo getting drunk and Luisa taking his side. Fernando was the only one who comforted her. Teresa hadn’t wanted to tell anyone how things really were, not Juana, mom, or dad. She tells Juana that Luisa behaved very badly toward her. Ever since that friend, Lucia, showed up. Teresa claims Lucia was always in love with Arturo! Oh, woe is Teresa, Luisa encouraged Lucia to go after Arturo! Being rich and connected, Lucia would be able to help them regain their fortune. Juana is shocked, and so am I! (what a load of bullsh*t!) Of course Teresa now claims Arturo and she begain arguing more because of Luisa and Lucia. He began drinking and the only one who cared for her was Fernando. Juana asks again if there’s something going on. Teresa asks how could she possibly get involved with a man who is engaged with her husband’s sister? However, she does confess she’s very confused. She is so disappointed in Luisa and Arturo. Now that Fernando is free, he’s asked if she’s interested. Juana’s bug eyed impactada! The lies continue. Teresa claims she rejected him. Why, even today when he went looking for her at the precinct, she told him she never wanted to see him again. She swears it. (ok, technically, that last part is true). KNOCK, KNOCK! Who’s there? FER! Fer who? FERNEANDERTHAL!!!! And he wants to talk. Teresa’s very sorry but she told him not to come looking for her. She asks him not raise a ruckus. Juana asks him to leave.

HOSPITAL: Dario explains Grampa’s condition to Johnny/Pati/Doofberto. Gramps is stabilized but will require surgery in the morning. Ah, who cares?

CASA CACERES: Aiiiiiida tells Dad that the rrrrrrrrrrrata de vecindad has accused him and Geno to the police. She demands to know the truth. Ruben acts indignant, appalled that Teresa would accuse them even though he confesses he would have gladly killed Fito for everything he’s done. He recalls how bad she got after Paulo’s death and then to top it off, she falls for that Mariano who has brought nothing but disgrace to their family. Aiiida knows Mariano is innocent. Ruben tells her to think about it. Teresa only made the accusation to free Mariano. He’s calling Geno right now so she can see for herself that there is only friendship between them and that the stories Teresa is telling is a despicable lie! He asks Geno to go with him to the precinct to answer the accusations Teresa has made. Before they can leave, Aiiida is interrupted by a call and leaves the room. Ruben reaches for his phone.

CASA LEDESMA: Hernan arrives with a bouquet of roses for Esperanza. She gets a call but hesitates to answer. She answers after Hernan insists it could be about the baby. She answers and it’s Ruben, of course. The way she’s talking, he figures Hernan is there. He warns her if she tells the police or anyone else that Geno and he are lovers, she’ll never see her son again! Hernan asks who it was and she tells him it was a wrong number. Hernan notices she seems nervous and she tells him it’s because she was hoping it was news on Rodriguito! Hernan doesn’t seem convinced.

POLICE STATION: Hector and Aurora speak to Mariano. Hector assures Mariano he believes he’s innocent. Aurora tells him Teresa saw Geno & Ruben dump the body and believes they are the killers.

Ruben and Genoveva have arrived and are talking to Aiiiiida. They can’t believe Teresa says they killed Fito and scoff at the mere idea of an affair and can’t understand where Teresa could’ve gotten such an idea! Geno says she’s never been with another man after her divorce. She dedicated her life to Paulo and now to Paulito. Aiiiida understands but they still need to clarify (aclarar) everything.

VECINDAD: Teresa is satisfied Juana believes her story about Fernando falling in love with her. She tells Juana she plans to spend the night there just in case Fernando goes looking for her at the manse. Refugio arrives and apologizes for having doubted Teresa, thinking she had left her husband for her BFF’s novio. It’s important to her that they remain united now that Armando is gone. Refugio is happy when Juana tells her that Teresa warned Fernando to stay away.

In the morning, Juana notices Teresa is down in the dumps. Teresa explains it’s everything -- Mariano’s arrest and her separation from Arturo. She admits she’s so confused. She’d love nothing more than to forget about Arturo forever and go for the life Fernando can give her. But she admits she’s thinking of giving Arturo another chance. She has the house, no, THEY have the house and they can begin anew. CARAAAAAZY!!!!

PENTHOUSE: Odiosa visits Fernando and wants to know what’s happened at Luna Turqueza. The condos aren’t selling and the prices have fallen (desplomar). This is all in thanks to some negative campaign to discredit (desprestigio) the construction company and him in particular. He has no idea what she’s talking about. She explains there are lawsuits (demanda) against them and there are posters at the condominiums saying they are poorly constructed and that the construction company and Fernando are frauds. Wowsers! Fernando is impactado.

CASA LUCIA: Lucia wonders why Arturo is so serious. He’s troubled by something Mariano said. He repeats what Mariano said about Teresa loving Arturo and that she fell in love with him during that European trip. Lucia supposes it could be true that Teresa loves him, but obviously less than she loves Fernando’s money. Arturo thinks that may be true. He doesn’t know why he keeps hoping, searching for something that will justify Teresa’s actions when her actions have no justification. Lucia suggests he stop thinking of Teresa if it bothers him so much. Arturo wishes he could but everything reminds him of her. He can’t get her out of his mind, much less his heart. Lucia thinks that if he can’t forgive her, he should make the effort to forget her. Suddenly, he turns to her saying he likes her and she suggests they might want to give it a whirl. He wonders if they can try even though he can’t promise her anything (Man Rule #8). She smiles and says she’s willing to take the risk. He can only promise that he’ll give it a lot of effort. They kiss aaaaaaand Teresa walks in! Dun-Dun-DUN! She immediately tears up. She brushes away her tears and starts clapping. “Bravo! I’m so happy to see that you’re resuming your life because I’ve come to see about the divorce.” Lucia leaves but not before giving Arturo a peck (the skank!). Arturo asks if she has the nerve to ask for alimony. Haha. She wants absolutely nothing from him. If they stand before the judge of mutual accord, they can have the divorce in 15 days (wow!). From what she’s just seen, she assumes it’s urgent for him. He tells her of course it’s urgent for him because he wants to cut all ties with her. What time does she want to meet with the judge? He agrees to meet her at 5:00 so they can end their marriage once and for all. He excuses himself so he can tell Lucia the good news. Arturo fights back tears as he leaves the room. Teresa, once alone, says to herself, “and I was going to give you another chance!”

PENTHOUSE: Fernando wonders if momzilla may have been the one who started all the problems with the construction company. She clearly has wanted the company to lose all its contracts and have problems so that when they divide everything, it will be worthless. He’ll be left with scraps (migajas) and she’ll take the contracts from all her friends to a new company. Oriana admits that’s what she’s doing and he already knew that. She tells him the remedy is in his hands. As for the Luna Turqueza problems, she didn’t plan that. He doesn’t believe her. He accuses her of sabotaging the project because Teresa owns Luna Turqueza stock. She denies this, saying she wouldn’t do it because of Arturo, who also owns Luna Turqueza stock. He has suffered enough with Fernando stealing away his wife without having to suffer that final estocada (final blow, stab)

POLICE STATION: Aurora shows Mariano that she’s wearing her engagement ring, meaning she’s ready to marry him. She promises to be with him in good times and in bad. No matter what happens, she will marry him.

CASA TERESA: Oriana arrives just in time to eavesdrop on Fernando and Teresa. They’re arguing about momzilla. Teresa understands he loves his mumsy and wishes she’d accept her but that’s never going to happen. Oriana nods in agreement from her hiding place. Teresa complains about Fernando’s jealousy over Mariano and Arturo. She swears her love for him and only him. Fernando begs Teresa’s forgiveness and promises to control his jealousy. She shouldn’t forgive him but she loves him so much, she can’t say no to him. They kiss. Fernando leaves for an appointment and Oriana quickly tiptoes behind a pillar. What a hoot! She walks into the library to confront Teresa. Teresa notices she didn’t knock and Oriana says she’ll never see this as her house. Oriana comes to the point of her visit. She offers Teresa the possibility of having everything she wants, love and money. Arturo or Mariano, she can go with whomever she truly loves. Teresa doesn’t understand. “Oh, it’s very easy,” says Oriana. She asks Teresa how many millions she wants in order to disappear from her son’s life. Teresa smiles at this and then slithers up to Oriana and says, “Sounds interesting. You tell me, how much is your son’s happiness worth?” cha-ching!

Antolin, Carolina and Alex have stopped to have a bite to eat before continuing on there trip. Antolin leaves to get directions and Alex to speak to his father. Carolina lies and says she has no cell service. He excuses himself to go to the bathroom. Antolin comes back and asks Carolina for the truth. Is Gerry messing with her or does all this have to do with Ivan? She promises to tell him when they arrive.

Back at the local bar, Camilo and Ivan are looking for the guy they call "El Gordo". The bartender says he was their last night, but hasn't shown up their today. He was talking last night with Saul. He hadn't seen Antolin in a while. Do they want to leave "El Gordo" a message if he sees him? They decline and leave.

Antolin, Carolina and Alex have arrived at their destination.

Camilo and Ivan go visit Celia and ask for Antolin's cell number. Camilo makes up a lie saying they want to see if he wants to still me an associate in the ranch. Camilo calls but no answer.

When they arrive in the town, Antolin asks Carolina for the phone number to call her cousin to tell them they have arrived. She tells him she forgot the book where she had it listed. She then confesses she never called her cousin to tell her that she was coming. But she remembers that she had a business called "La Joja". Antolin drives around and finds the store. Carolina tells Alex to stay in the car while she and Antolin go in. Estella recognizes Carolina right away and embraces her. Antolin introduces himself as her boyfriend. Carolina asks him to go stay in the car with Alex while she has a conversation alone with Estella. Carolina tells Estella that she has something really important to talk with her about. Estella asks if she's pregnant. No, replies Carolina. But it's really bad.

Lucia tells Carlota that it was wrong of her mother to invite Maripaz to the party at the McGuire's. Carlota asks her if she's jealous. Lucia denies it. Lucia phone rings and its Ivan. He asks her if she has had a chance to talk to her dad about leaving for vacation next week. Lucia tells him she hasn't had a chance but did tell Carolina. They agree for him to come over later. Camilo thinks that Ivan is overreacting and that Carolina and Alex probably have already returned to the house. Ivan drops it and they go about there day.

Estella says she knew that he (Gerry) was hiding something. How can you marry someone after knowing them for only 3 weeks? Carolina says unfortunately my sister died to early. I raised him and love him dearly. I love him more then anything. He is like my son. I understand replies Estella. But you just told me that he is a kidnapped child. Yes, and Gerry wants to return him. And I don't replies Carolina. I don't know lies Carolina. That's why I'm begging you, if Gerry calls tell him I'm not here. I have money and can rent a room. Estella says there is plenty of room and no sense in renting. I'm alone, but sooner or later Gerry will find you. I will talk to Gerry eventually and tell him to forget about me and Alex replies Carolina. Estella says he won't listen. I'll find a way says Carolina. Estella asks if her boyfriend knows about all this? No and neither does Alex replies Carolina. Alex adores Gerry.

Antolin and Alex are talking. Alex tells him about the vacation he's going to take with Ivan, Lucia and "Abuela". He explains that it's Carlota, but he can call that. Carolina and Estella come out and he gets introduced to her. Carolina tells Alex that they are going to stay for a couple days. Alex says they were supposed to go to Ivan's house. Carolina explains that they are going to wait until Ivan makes it out to the house first then they will join him. She doesn't want to go to a house that she has never been to before. He wants to go play at the beach, but she tells him it's late and it's probably cold. Antolin says it will probably be okay and he will take him. He says he'll take their luggage inside and check in at the local hotel and come back for Alex.

At the local plant, they are showing how prepare the produce. They sign a contract with Herdez. They have good salsa.

Antolin is showing Alex how to swim. It's cute.

Ivan comes over and Lucia asks how he's doing. He tells her a little worried about tomorrow with JJ and his cronies coming to the party. Lucia asks him why he calls him Mondragon instead of "padre". Ivan says he never was to him. His father is Anthony. One day he will tell her about his first encounters with him. But right now I don't want to talk about it. I want to tell you right now how much I love you. If I hadn't found you again, I would be seeking to get back at all those who did me wrong. But you appeared and with your magic wand and filled me with happiness. Lucia tells him that no matter what happens she will never stop loving him. They kiss.

Gerry gets home late and Carolina's paid companion runs up and tells him that Carolina and Alex have not returned. She saw that a suitcase was missing from her room and Alex's. Did someone come for them asks Gerry? I don't know replies the girl. She sent me on an errand. When I came back she was gone. Gerry asks if perhaps Ivan or Lucia came for them, but the girl says she doesn't know. Ivan came asking for them. She's scared. Gerry tells her not to worry and go to bed. Gerry says she ran and took Alex with her. The phone suddenly rings and it's Carolina. Gerry asks her what did she do? Where is she? Carolina tells him that she could not let Ivan take Alex from her. She has raised him. He is her son. Gerry tells her Ivan would never do that. You think about Alex. Carolina tells him that he is a foul. Of course Ivan will take Alex from them. I have taken care of him for 10 years. Given him my life and my love. I will not let someone take him away from me. Gerry tells her not to be an idiot. That will not happen. Ivan is his father says Gerry. Carolina says Alex is the most important thing in her life. When Gerry asks Carolina where she's at, she hangs up.

Ivan asks Lucia if she's told Gerry yet about the vacation. Lucia says not yet, but I can call him up. Ivan offers up his phone and dials it for her. Lucia asks her father if Carolina told him about them leaving on vacation Monday. Of course replies Gerry. Great replies Lucia.

Antolin and Carolina are taking a walk. Antolin tells her that he and Alex have been talking about Ivan and the trip. He wants to know what's going on. Carolina finally spills the beans. Alex is Ivan's son. And it's not fair that he wants to take him from me.

Gerry is looking up Estella's number in Carolina's phone. He asks if Carolina's there. No replies Estella.

Carolina's is leaving nothing out in her story. She tells Antolin that they have taken care of Alex for 10 years. Antolin asks if Maripaz knows? I don't think so replies Carolina. If she does, she doesn't care. She wanted to abort the baby. So Ivan is interested in the kid asks Antolin? But he hasn't raised him replies Carolina. He wasn't at his bedside when he was sick, or given him education, played with him or suffered along side of him. And just because he knocked someone up doesn't give him the right to be a father. And what does Gerry say asks Antolin. You know Gerry replies Carolina. He is very weak. Ivan already suspects that Alex is his and sooner or later Gerry will tell him. And on top of that, Lucia already knows the truth. She's in love with Ivan and I'm sure she'll tell him. And I will be alone. Without the one and only thing I love. Antolin asks her why she thinks that she will not be able to have love from someone else? She is a beautiful and wonderful woman. She can get married and have her own children. Carolina asks who would want to marry her? Antolin says when a man loves a woman they do it for love, no matter what. I would marry you, but I dare not propose it. Like my mother says, I will one day end up dead with a blow to the head or lying in a ditch. Carolina tells him not to say that. Antolin says I say this because it's true. You need a man that is decent and will make you happy. Carolina says she adores Alex and couldn't stand for someone to take him from her. Antolin promises to help her, but she's playing a dangerous game.

Estella tells Carolina that Gerry called. But she told him that she wasn't there. Estella asks Carolina to tell her who Ivan is. Carolina tells her that Ivan is Alex's dad. Is he rich asks Estella. Yes, very much replies Carolina. Estella tells her sooner or later he will take Alex from you. Carolina tells her no one will take Alex from her.

Carmen goes back to her old job.

Benito is showing Anthony his new suit that he got for the party. Anthony likes it, but tells him he can't go because he has to stay with Bruno. Carmen knocks on the door. She thanks Anthony for giving her old job back. He tells her to make sure that she treats everyone well and Bruno too. Carmen promises. Anthony tells Benito do you know why I don't want Bruno to stay here alone when Carmen leaves the room. Benito laughs and says he gets it.

Lucia is looking through her clothes trying to figure out what to wear to the party.

Maripaz shows up on time to go to the party with the others. Lucrecia tells her not to drink to much.

JJ asks Saul if his friend has talked to the police yet. Saul tells him not yet. JJ says to tell him that he saw the same truck at the party too.

They show footage of broccoli, lettuce and other produce. People walking through the plant and then being invited to the party.

The party has started with a mariachi band playing and the Curiel's arriving. Ivan warmly greets Lucia. Followed by Camilo. Of course Maripaz comes up and kisses Ivan on the cheek and starts scolding him for not inviting her. Lucia is annoyed. Ivan brushes her off and pulls Lucia away to introduce her to someone. Maripaz is clearly annoyed and tells Camilo that he may have money, but he is still low class. Camilo smiles and tells her that he's low class and has no money. Maripaz says oh well, your cute. What do they have to drink? Everything replies Camilo. Then get me a tequila says Maripaz.

"El Gordo" is calling the cops and reporting the truck he saw burning the Guilberto Mendena ranch at the party. The cop asks for the plate number and the description of the truck. The cop finds out it's registered to "McGuire & Son". He wants to act fast but with discretion. He understands that Attorney Torres is there.

JJ arrives and says "I told you I would be here". Ivan says even your cronies came even though they wouldn't come near us. Anthony greets the Madragon ladies. Saul spots Lucia and Ivan together. Maripaz comments that Saul must be seething seeing them together to Camilo. Saul stares at Lucia and Ivan. Lucia notices Saul starting at them and looks uncomfortable. Maripaz asks Camilo if he's brothers with Antolin? When Camilo confirms it, she tells him she can't decide who's more handsome. She then spots David and can't believe the wimp hasn't come over to say "hi" yet. Camilo tells her perhaps he doesn't want to. Maripaz asks Camilo if he has a girlfriend. No replies Camilo. Maripaz says one day she'll invite him over for a little "party" at her house. Camilo can't quite make her out.

Ivan comes to greet Attorney Torres and introduces them to the Curiel's. Saul comes over and says "hi" to Torres, but gets a "hi" back and then gets ignored.

Anthony is making a speech, Lucia & Ivan are cuddling and Maripaz is trying to stay awake. Suddenly the cop is at the door.

Antolin runs up from the beach and tells Carolina how wonderful she looks. He tries to convince her to go into the water with Alex yelling for her to come in too. She takes off her cover and he starts checking her out.

The cop decides to wait. He doesn't want to cause a scandal in front of Attorney Torres.

Carolina is putting sunblock on Alex and then Antolin. Of course Antolin is only to happy to return the favor. Antolin and Alex are playing soccor on the beach and building a sand castle. Then Antolin takes Alex and Carolina for a walk down the beach and of course has to hold Carolina's hand, but I sense a spark.

Lucrecia tells JJ that everything turned out pretty well. She thinks business with the McGuire's will be good. JJ thinks things will turn out bad. Why is that questions Lucrecia? Because these gringos will keep all the profits replies JJ.

Ester asks David why he won't greet his dad. David says he prefers not to, to avoid a scene.

Judith goes over to talk to Camilo.

Gerry visits Alicia grave. He wonders where Carolina took there grandchild. The cemetery keeper shows up and Gerry leaves.

Maripaz sees an opportunity to talk to Ivan when Lucia leaves with some gentlemen. She asks him if he's not happy that she came. Ivan tells her he didn't expect her. Maripaz asks if they can't be friends. Ivan tells her it's not the right time to speak of that. I have many people to speak with and leaves. Maripaz gets annoyed then shocked when she sees the cops coming in. JJ and Saul look at the cops coming in. Ivan spots them and gets Camilo to come with him. Attorney Torres gets up to and asks what's up. The cop says sorry but we now know who set fire to the Mendena ranch. Turns out it's Camilo's truck. Ivan and Anthony both defend Camilo. Ivan is about to fight when the cop says they have to take Camilo in. Anthony holds him back and Ivan tells Camilo they will get the best attorney in the state.
