El Talismán #68 Fri 5/4/12 Everybody's Talkin' At Me, I Don't Hear a Word They're Sayin, Only The Echoes of My Mind

A little ditty for you to sing while you wait for my recap. It is sung to the tune of Anamaniacs:

We are Talismaniacs

We are loyal that's a fact

So just sit back and relax

While your recapper gets the facts

For Talismaniacs.

Previously on El Talisman:

Pedro and Cameela are telling Mariana that Tonio lied to her. She shows them the faked newspaper article.

Today on El Talisman:

Panchito and Pigorio are having a conversation and Pigorio wants to know if Panchito delivered that check to Rennie? Panchito says of course. Pigorio wants to know if anything was said? Panchito says not really. Panchito wants to know about the papers Tonio had Pigorio sign in the hospital? Pigorio tells him not to worry about those, cause Tonio will be leaving Alcatrash soon.

Tonio and Lucrazy are having their usual looneytunes meeting, and congratulate each other on their part of Alcatrash. Lucrazy is going on and on about Pedro being free of that bruja Cameela. Tonio gets impatient with her and says according to mis planis the job isn't done yet. The plan still includes El Viral. Lucrazy wants to know what El Viral has to do with it?

Angel, Army and Maria are hanging out and they want to know why she is pre-occupied? She says she is thinking of Manuel. They kind of chuckle and want to know more about them. She tells them Manuel is the adoptive father of Mariana, you know they one that interrupted the wedding? Army is like say what? That women that's after Pedro? Yes, the same she has no memory of what happened to her, and please don't tell Cameela anything about Manuel. It will take Mariana some time to remember. Maria is going to work and doesn't want them to spill the beans to Cameela. They say they won't. Army is still thinking of Fabi.

El Viral has been waiting in Manuel's office. He comes in and the look on his face is priceless, like Que the Hell? What is this gasbag doing in here? Of course she is spewing the usual poisonous fumes right in his face. She wants him back. He says oh, yeah right. All you ever wanted was my money and the jewels I gave you. You only cared about yourself. She yaps about betraying her husband and children for him. He says you did it to yourself, you shouldn't have chased me. There was something about an inheritance I didn't get. So El Viral turns the tables she thinks, and asks him why he wants to get involved with a married woman and child? He tells her he knows Maria is divorced and besides children were never an impediment for him. So she gets this gleam in her eye, and says you sure about that? He says his wife couldn't have children and they adopted Mariana. He tells her he won't listen to her foolishness, he tells her don't tell me Cameela is mine, cause I know you are a liar and you won't entrap me again. Now , wait for it, LARGATE and leave me alone. She gets up in his face, and I swear he is trying not to laugh, and she tells him One day you will come back to me I swear. He tells her never, he is in love with Maria. She goes out of the office and in her gas filled pea brain she says I'll seperate you from my sister and you'll never be happy.

Mariana, Pedro and Cameela are talking in Mariana's doorway, she hasn't let them in. Pedro tells her that Tonio made up this paper. Mariana says clearly you only married me for money and El Tal. They keep telling her Tonio is a liar and this is just the worse gossip in the paper. She tells them Tonio told her she was very in love with Pedro. Cameela and Pedro are pithed. Cameela stands up for her man, and tells Mariana that Pedro is not capable of doing these things and she has it all wrong. Mariana insists she is Pedro's wife. They tell her Tonio is a manipulator. She doesn't beleive them. She prefers to beleive Tonio. Pedro even tells her how Tonio seperated him from Cameela for the longest time. She is not buying what they are selling. She says Pedro is the manipulator. They tell her Pedro was only like a brother to her, he married her to protect her from Tonio and to give the baby a name and nothing else. She refuses to beleive them and says she beleives she was in love with Pedro , punto. Cameela is so pithed off she leaves. Pedro is getting irate, but he tells Mariana you don't have your memory back but when you do, you'll see I was telling the truth. He tells her he is divorcing her and marrying Cameela. She cries. He leaves to look for Cameela but she is gone.

Tonio is in the study of El Tal doctoring those pills. Lucrazy comes in and asks him what is he doing? He says nothing important. Now the funny thing is there is this big bottle of poison on the desk, and Tonio has done a magic hand thing, where he has hidden the pills in his red handkerchief. Lucrazy never saw them or what he was doing. They wonder if Pedro will remarry Cameela after things are settled with Mariana. Tonio tells Lucrazy he has put some ideas in Marina's head. When Tonio was doctoring those pills he said El Viral will take the blame. Lucrazy does see the container of poison, which by the way, doesn't look like the one El Viral got him. She wants to know what that is? Tonio tells her it is something Valentin got I think to kill the rats. She leaves.

Cameela has called Maria, crying her eyes out so much, Maria can't understand her. Cami tells her they met with Mariana and that Mariana is in love with Pedro. Maria says come see me. Cameela meets with Maria and tells her Mariana is in love with Pedro, and she's his wife, where does that leave me? Maria is trying to calm her down and tells her to come into her office so they can talk calmly. Manuel is leaving for the day, cause Mariana called him all upset. Maria stops him and says she needs his office. Cameela is telling Maria that Mariana thinks she is in love with Pedro. Manuel asks her how she knows Mariana? Maria tells Cameela Manuel is a collegue of hers and is Mariana's adoptive Papa. Manuel asks Cameela if she is Maria's neice. She says yes, I am Cameela, the wife of Pedro! Manuel tells them Mariana doesn't remember anything, and he is getting angry. Maria tells them both to chill out, and Manuel says he's leaving. Cameela and Maria are still talking about Mariana, and Cameela says Mariana is saying she is getting some memories and Maria says who has she been talking to, besides the two of you? Cameela says Tonio. Maria says there you have it, she is getting these "memories" from him.

Panchito and Pigorio are on horses and Pigorio tells Panchito to wait there. Pigorio goes close to the border of El Tal and comes back. Panchito asks him what he was looking at? He says he won't answer any questions but, wait for it, El Talisman will be MIO.

Now we have Doris, who has flown the er pigsty. She is with Brigette. Doris tells Brigette that Lucrazy, as crazy as she is, thinks something is going on between the Pig and her. Brigette suggest she stay with her for a couple of days. But Brigette tells her that if she really wants Pigorio to fight for him. Doris is packing and decides to go back to Alcatrash.

Gabe, Padre, Margo, Sartia and Pedro are meeting after the disasterous convo with Mariana. Pedro is looking for Cameela, but she isn't back yet. Pedro explains to them exactly what happened and that Tonio is putting ideas in Marina's head. Pedro tells Padre he has an idea. All that money of Mariana's is in the bank, and he'll just show Mariana. He gets the papers and goes back to Mariana's. Cameela comes back after Pedro left and she has a litte convo with the Padre. She is afraid of all the obstacles that are in her path with Pedro, but the Padre tells her to have some faith, everything will work out in the end. She asks where Pedro went? The Padre tells her back to Marina's. She wants to go to, but Padre stops her and tells her to let him do this alone. Everything will be ok. She is getting really perturbed that it is taking Pedro so long.

Manuel is with Mariana now and they are discussing what happened when Pedro came with Cameela. It bothers her what Tonio said about Mariana's Papa and Pedro, and to top it off, wait for it, she compeletly beleives TONIO!!!! (I tell you, if she beleives Tonio, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell her, jus' sayin'). She tells Manuel she is completely in love with Pedro. About this time Pedro comes back, and Manuel wants to know what he is doing back? He tells Manuel he wants to talk to Mariana, but she doesn't want to hear anything he has to say, (and she's in love with him, please, somebody, anybody hypnotize this girl, and get her memory back), but Pedro stands his ground and says he has proof he never lied to her. He says these are the bank statments from all the years you've been gone, and you'll see I never touched a penny. They are stunned. Manuel takes the bank statements. Pedro tells her he doesn't want to cause her anymore pain, but he says he was never in love with her as he said, and he wants her to beleive him. Pedro is leaving, but Mariana asks him to stay. She says she never cared about the money. He tells her he wants to clear this up so he can divorce Mariana and marry Cameela. He tells Mariana she was very in love with Tonio, but Tonio didn't get divorced. He tells her Tonio was the one that really wanted El Tal. He tells her he worked at El Tal as a peon. He tells her again about everything he has been telling her, but adds that her Papa sold El Tal to Cameela's family, the father, Estagone gambled it away, and Pedro  won it back in a card game with Pigorio. So Pedro really is the owner of El Tal. He tells Manuel that Tonio and Lucrazy have been trying to seperate him and Cameela for years. He says Tonio is in love with Cameela and Lucrazy is in love and obessed with him. Manuel and Mariana are starting to give Pedro the stink eye. Mariana says so all these women are obsessed with you and in love with you? Her face is saying oh, please! Pedro says he only loves Cameela. Manuel wants to know who he feels the passion for? Pedro tells him Cameela and only Cameela. He leaves.

Lucrazy comes back to the study and tells Tonio that Doris has left Alcatrash. They are so happy they have a couple tequilas. Tonio has a whip in his hand, what is with the whip in these TN's, and says, wait for it, Cameela will be mine. Yeah right, sure, sure, only in your wildest dreams. Little do they know Doris is on her way back. Tonio says he will never let Doris come back. After their little drinky poo, Lucrazy leaves.

Fabi and Flor are upset that Mama Doris has left. Flor wants to go live with her, yeah right, that is gonna happen, and Fabi wants to move out on her own. Flor is begging her not to leave her alone at the Pig Sty. They hug.

So on the last part of our TN, Tonio is putting those doctored pills on Pigorio's nightstand, and says the Pig will take these pills, get sick and die Tonight! Now I have to say here, I don't know how El Viral will get fingered for this. Tonio has put his prints all over the bottle and the pills, and this time he didn't use the handkerchief or gloves. Jus' sayin' What a bumbling booby!

Lunes on El Talisman:

Lucrazy accuses Tonio of trying kill Pigorio.

Tonio leaves those pills on Pigorio's nightstand.

Abismo de pasión #40 05/04/12: Damn Man! Not Even the Dog?

Clinic-In the Hallway

Damien, Alfonsina and Dr. Whipped (Edmundo Tovar) are in front of the nurse’s station openly discussing Florencia’s diagnosis.  Enrique Whipped, who has trailed his father to the hospital, eavesdrops nearby.  Damien asks about the baby.  Dr. Whipped tells Damien that it was a false alarm; Florencia is not preggers.  Damien explains that she took a test and it was positive.  Doc stresses to him that she was NEVER pregnant.  Alfonsina says that tests can be wrong and then she and her son leave the area to visit the patient. Enrique attempts to follow them, but his father stops him and tells him to go home.  This is none of his business.
Clinic-Room #8

Florencia is sitting up in bed rubbing her legs when Damien and Alfonsina enter the room.  Damien rushes over to the bed and tells her to relax everything is fine. He cradles her in his arms and she continues to insist that she was pregnant even after Damien informs her that the doctor says otherwise.  She reminds Damien that she lost the baby because she fell off of his horse while riding with him. The old but effective guilt trick!  Good one!  Damien’s swallows his pain and fights to hold back his tears.  Alfonsina interrupts the touching moment and says that she also believes that the test was wrong.  She strongly hints that Florencia will have to find another way to trap her son.  When you relax you will see things in another way.  Change of plans!  “I can’t feel my legs.” Florencia is quick and flexible!  BRAVO!  Alfonsina says that it’s Florencia’s nerves and makes the coo coo sign against her head.  Damien asks his mother to leave them alone.  Mom agrees and says that he should try to control Florencia while she’s gone.  Mon leaves the room.  Damien tells Florencia his mother is right.  Florencia says that she’s not crazy and is adamant that she had a bun in the oven.  The stress of this conversations causes Damien to get a little twitch in his right eye.  If it’s not true, she wants him to help her.  Promise me Damien!  Promise Me! (I don’t know what she makes him promise.)  All I know is that he looks sick.
Witch Mountain

It is pitch black in the cenote, except for two blazing tiki torches standing watch outside of Ramona and Paloma’s humble abode. Only the sounds of crickets chirping and blaring night bird songs can be heard over Paloma’s light footsteps.   Paloma dusts herself off and adjusts her clothing before entering the house.  As she opens the front door, eerie, nail biting, Amityville Horror-like background music begins.  Slowly!  She goes to the stove and pours herself a soothing spot of tea.  Quietly! Ramona enters the kitchen and walks over to the table.  After seeing her bruises, Ramona asks her granddaughter what happened to her.  Paloma says she fell.  The suspenseful music continues to stress me out.  Calmly!  Paloma changes the subject and tells Ramona that Damien’s fiancé is expecting.  Intuitively!  Ramona tells her that Damien isn’t a father yet.  Predictably!  Ramona takes a seat at the table.  If that chick is preggers, then it ain’t Damien’s, she says.  The freaky music finally stops.  They played it for absolutely no reason and this was a total waste of several exclamation points and false interjections.
Ramona returns the subject back to the “fall”.  How did you fall?  Paloma chooses a chair across from her.  She takes a deep breath and reluctantly informs her grandmother that Gabino pushed her at the procesadora, but she failed to mention that she pushed him first.  She probably bruised his chest.  Ramona blew two fuses and tried to rush out the door to confront Gabino.  Paloma blocks her grandmother from leaving.

Clinic-Room 8
When Alfonsina re-enters the room, says that the doctor suggested that they take her home to rest.   Damien is sitting on the bed watching over Florencia as she sleeps.   Damien tells his mother that he will take Florencia to see a specialist in Mexico.  Mom says, that’s not necessary.  Damien reiterates that he will escort her to Mexico.  He leads his mother away from the bed so they will not disturb the patient.  While their backs are turned, Florencia opens her eyes and smiles; we now know that she was feigning being asleep.   When he returns to the bed, she “awakens”.  He tells her that they are going to Mexico.  When Damien tries getting her to stand, she begins to wail that she can’t feel her legs.  Triple Whammy!  She lost our baby and she can’t walk and it’s his fault.  Ingenious.  He’ll have to stay with her until the final episode.  She cries and hangs on to his neck for support.

Dr. Whipped’s Residence
As a weary Whipped enters the door, Mrs. Kravitz (Begona) rushes to interrogate him.  She demands to know what happened.  How is Florencia?  Didn’t Enrique tell you?  No, he’s locked himself in his room.  Whipped tells Mrs. Kravitz that Florencia isn’t preggers.  She thinks he’s saying that Florencia lost the baby.  He tells her that Florencia was never baking a bun, there’s no yeast, and the pilot light was never lit!  His expression says that he thinks he’s arrived in Stupid Town.  Why is that so hard for everyone to understand that the chick was not ever preggers?   She wants to know what happened.  She fell off of a horse.  He takes his keys and walks towards the door.  He wants to know where is daughter is.  Sabrina says that she’ll be home late.  He wants to know why she didn’t go walk home with her.  They argue.

Restaurante-Paolo Against Obviously Lonely Ogglers
Sabrina is trying to scam on Paolo.  He doesn’t give her the time a day.  She doesn’t realize that Paolo enjoys women who are adolescent, wild or are completely disinterested in him.  She fits none of those categories.  She’s might be young, but she’s no challenge and she wears too many clothes.  Can she have a ride on his moto.  He tells her that his moto was in an accident and he had to wait all day in Merida to get it fixed.  No, I’m the only one who gets to ride my moto.  She invites him to come get his hair cut or come for a chat.  He tells her to forget about him.  He ain’t attracted to her.

Clinic-Kenia’s Room
Alfonsina walks into Kenia’s room.  Kenia is surprised that Alfonsina is there to visit her.  Alphonsina corrects her and tells her that Florencia is pretending to be lame.  She can’t trust anything that Florencia says now that she knows that the two of them plotted to make Elisa think that Florencia was preggers.  Alfonsina wants to know why Kenia is still there.  Kenia say it’s obvious that I had an accident, moron!  Tomorrow I will blow this town at my first opportunity.  Perfecto!  Says Alfonsina.  Don’t come to the house, I’ll send a driver with your things.

Casa de Castanon
Elisa gets her music box out and seated alone in a high-back chair, assumes the daily “I’m gonna have a good cry” position.  While remembering her only kiss with Dam Fine, she’s in tears before she can open the lid.  She’ll never be able to feel his lips or his touch again.  Gosh, now I want to cry with her.  Suddenly, the “good cry” tears morph into tears of frustration.  She slams down the lid and runs over to the balcony for air.  After opening the window and assuming the frustrated cry pose (consisting of large bosom heaving, arms flung open, while dramatically leaning on to both sides of the open door for support), she sees Paolo arrive on his moto.  Slowly, she backs away from the window so that she won’t be detected.  (Now would be a great time for that Amityville Horror-like music, because sneaking up behind her is an orange alien like-creature with big yellow straw hair, pearly white fangs and flashing blue eyes!)  Carmina sees her tears and asks what up?  Elisa replies, ”Nothing,” and flees from the room.  Curious, Carmina goes to the balcony and looks out.  When she sees Paolo, she smiles and adjusts her hair.  Their eyes connect; she signals him where to meet her.

Ponderable items for discussion during the commercial break:
Elisa has been wearing the same clothes since the Tuesday episode.  This means that it has been the same day in La Ermita since Tuesday.  Are you following me so far?   This means that Elisa has gone into her room to cry at least 5 times ON THE SAME DAY IN LA ERMITA.

Hacienda Arango-Florencia’s Bedroom
Alfonsina enters Florencia’s bedroom carrying the X-rays.  Florencia is in bed.  Damien, looking downright defeated lies beside her, holding her hand.  Alfonsina leaves the room.  Florencia, smiling like the Cheshire Cat, caresses Damien’s hand arms as she speaks.  Sad violin music plays in the background as she laments the loss of the faux pregnancy and the drills home her now pretend useless legs.

Casa Donde Todas la Familia es Whipped
Sulking because Paolo, the Italian rapist chooses not to violate her, Sabrina Whipped lies in her bed, clutching a yellow stuffed duck.  Mrs. Kravitz-Whipped, her mother, enters her room and wants to know if Sabrina is sick. Why is she still in bed?  Isn’t she going to work?  No, she says.  I’ve been shamelessly throwing myself at a sex fiend who refused to take advantage of me.  I’m not pretty and I feel fat.  He wants Elisa.

A Lift
Gabino gives Ingrid a ride…this time on his horse.  She’s seated in front of him on the saddle.  Her back to his hard chest, she sits in the circle of arms of steel as he guides the horse with the reigns.  After arriving at their destination, he dismounts first, and then helps her down.  See?  He is a gentleman.  While she waits, he ties the horse to a post.  She doesn’t want anyone to see them coming into work together.  She tells him all about the conversation she had with Maru.  Poor boy, he sure is sexy, but he just doesn’t give a damn about how he’s dressed.  What’s up with the one sleeve rolled up look?  He goes over to get a little smooch, when a rock strikes him on the back of his head.  It’s Ramona!  The next time you touch my grand-daughter, the rock will be bigger and heavier.  Ingrid asks what he did to piss Ramona off.  He says the old woman is nuts.

Clinic-Kenia’s Room
Kenia is sitting on her bed.  Today, she is being discharged from the hospital.  The check she’s holding in her hands was the great salve and wonderful therapist.  She looks fantastic for someone who only recently lost her baby after being thrown from a moto traveling at the break-necking speed of 10 miles an hour or less.  Gael (his lips have always disturbed me) comes into the room to check on her.   He notices the suitcases.  She tells him that she is leaving town.  She wishes she could have had a brother like him.   He sits on her bed and he warns her about Ingrid; he says that he doesn’t trust Ingrid either.

Clinic-Office de Dr. Whipped
Alfonsina determinedly marches into the waiting area.   Paloma unsuccessfully tries to prevent her from barging into Dr. Whipped’s office.   Florencia cannot walk!  You said she was fine, she says.  The doctor tells her to take the X-rays to a specialist in Merida.  He doesn’t know why she can’t walk.  She yells some more.  He said that he’s perfectly capable of diagnosing that girl.  He will not allow her to insult him.  She tells him to accept his responsibility.   He gives her the name of a (psychiatrist) specialist.  She tells him that she doesn’t trust him, she will find her own specialist.   Elisa joins Paloma as she eavesdrops outside of the door.  Paloma tells Elisa about the horse accident and that Florencia can’t walk.  When the doctor comes out, Elisa asks him about the baby.  Oh for the love of Goodness!  Has the whole town gone mad?  Am I in the Twilight Zone?  Have I been talking to myself?  That chick was never pregnant!

Casa de Castanon
Mrs. Kravitz-Whipped still incensed that a pervert has rejected her daughter, has come to confront Augosto about his lack of control over his daughter.  She tells him that Elisa falsely accused Paolo of attempted rape and how she tricked Damien into fighting for her lack of honor.  He tells her to shut up and get the hell out of his house.  He will not tolerate her talking like that in his home.  Carmina shows up and tells him that she hopes that he believes what she says about Elisa now.

Casa de Arango
Broomhilda soared home on her broomstick in record time.  Florencia wakes up from her nap. Alfonsina is watching her legs like a hawk.   Damien went to work and left her to watch over Florencia.  Florencia is pissed that Damien was not there staring at her when she woke up.  Alfonsina asks Florencia if she is really paralyzed.  Florencia says yes.  Alfonsina tells Florencia that if she’s lying, she will have to deal with her.  Alfonsina says that she knows that Florencia is capable of lying because of what she did to Elisa.

Paolo opens the door and it’s Guido.  What are you doing here?  He heard about his daughter’s accident and he’s come to check on her.    Paolo didn’t know about the accident.  Nobody tells him anything.
Casa de Castanon

When Elisa enters the house, her father confronts her about Paolo.  She tells him that she didn’t mention it because he doesn’t believe anything that she says (like now!).  Carmina comes in.  Elisa tells her father that she saw them kissing while her mother was still alive.  Carmina was messing with her own sister’s husband.  Carmina says that she will not stay in the same house as Elisa.  She tells Agosto that he has to make a decision.  It’s either her or Elisa.
Back to Casa de Castanon

Who’s it gonna be, Augusto?  Her or me? Agosto tells Carmina to stop being so dramatic (like someone else in the room).  He says that if anyone goes, it will be him because he is sick of them both.   After her father storms out, Elisa faces Carmina, eyes filled with tears (what a surprise).  Carmina promises Elisa that she will regret insulting her.  After Carmina leaves, Lolita enters and Elisa breaks down in her arms.  Technically, this is her first time crying today in La Ermita time (she’s changed her clothes).  She was due for a good sob.   She says that she can’t stay in that house.  It’s hell.
Casa de Arango

Florencia is in bed.  Her father cradles her in his arms. Paolo sits at the foot of her bed.   She tells her father the Damien plans to travel to Mexico with her.  Alfonsina enters the room and mentions that Florencia insists she was pregnant.  “You were pregnant?” her father asks.  She stutters around, and says that she the test could have been defective.  Besides, she was stressed about Kenia’s situation.   This causes a big fight between the brothers because Paolo cared more about his moto than the baby or the girl.  She was going to get rid of the baby anyway, he said, so it doesn’t matter if she lost it or not.  After Guido and Alfonsina leave, Paolo applauds Florencia’s acting skills.  What happened with the horse was perfect.  It covered up your lie, he says.
Casa de Castanon

Lolita serves Elisa some tea.  The doorbell rings, it’s Paloma.   Paloma immediately tells Lolita that Florencia was never with child.  Lolita is shocked.    Elisa says this doesn’t change anything.  Paloma tells Elisa that she needs to go after Dam Fine.  Elisa says no because Florencia fell off a horse and she can’t walk.  Paloma says that Florencia can travel back to Mexico in style.  They’ll put her in a nice car; she won’t have to walk.  Elisa asks her friends to support her decision.  The bell rings again.  This time, it’s Don Lucio.  Her godfather notices her tears and touches her face.  For the love of all that is good! Please don’t ask her what’s wrong!  What’s wrong, he asks.  She tells him how her father won’t believe her.  He’s the same, she says.  Please don’t tell her what a wonderful person she is and how much she means to you!  He tells her that she’s like the daughter he’s never had.  Darn it!  Annnnnnnnnnnnd right on queue.  Sobs and Tears.
Casa de Arango

Agosto shoves himself in to the foyer and demands to speak to Paolo.  Guido introduces himself as Paolo’s brother.   In order to make himself completely understood, Agosto clearly enunciates the name of every male associated with the Arango property.  He informs his captivated audience that he’d better not see or hear of Paolo, Damien, Mr. Ed or even an Arango dog being near his daughter, his house or his familia again.  The next time he comes, he will bring more that a warning!  Damn man!  Not even the dog?  Guido wants to know what happened.  Damien says that he’ll tell him, but Alfonsina interrupts and says that she will do it.
Procesadora

Lupe visits Ingrid at work.  He wants to talk to her.  He won’t keep lying for her.  This isn’t the place to talk about this she says.  They can talk after work she says.  Maru interrupts and asks how Florencia is doing.  The Padre is shocked to hear that Florencia fell off of a horse.
Casa de Arango-Alfonsina’s Bedroom

Damien and Alfonsina argue over why she won’t believe Paolo was trying to rape Elisa.  How can she believe that he violated Kenia, but doesn’t afford that same courtesy to Elisa.  She says that it’s not the same thing.  She wants to know why he is more worried about Elisa than he is about Florencia?  Basically, she says that it’s his fault that Florencia’s in that condition.  He struggles to swallow and looks sick again.
Fields de Casa de Castanon

Agosto asks Gael if he really loves Elisa.  Yes.  Then why not fight for her?  She doesn’t want me.  If you love her, fight for her!  That will make life easier for the rest of us.

Una Familia Con Suerte #235-236 Thu 5/3/12 The doc delivers a lot of bad news.

Also two babies, but those are kind of an afterthought.

So, where we left off, Kari has just gloated to Ana that she and Freddy are pregnant. I’m sure the tabloids will be interested in that. Ana, not so much. Adrián is delighted. He and Kari should just get together. Adrian stalks Ana into the house and she actually comes downstairs and unloads her feelings about the news even though she had already told him to skedaddle. Finally she gets rid of him again, but like the Terminator who can’t be terminated, he’ll be back.

Rebe has a fast pulse and high blood pressure, and her crappy doctor doesn’t even examine her, just recommends meds and rest via phone.

Freddy drags Kari back to Pina’s place (not his; safety in numbers with Ado around) and she’s in happy lala land and he yells at her. He thinks she did this on purpose and is just using the baby to separate him from Ana and annoy her. Kari tries various guilt trips on him but to no avail. He says he’ll be a good dad, but he will NOT marry or date Kari.

Turns out Vivian and Barb are friends, so Arnoldo gets a little breather while Viv whines about all her problems to Barb. She claims she would have killed herself and only her love for Sebastián kept her going. She must win him back.

Pancho advises Sebastián to let go of the bitterness and stop hating Vivian, for his own peace of mind.

Tomás chides Pepe for pressuring Moni. Pepe says he’s not sure he loves Moni anymore, and he’s not interested in getting back together. Maybe Frida. Tom does NOT approve.

Frida is heading to Puebla to visit her sick tio abuelo, but first she wants a proper goodbye from Pepe. For “proper”, read “naked”. They make out, but Pepe’s phone rings as he is starting to relieve Frida of her clothing. The mood is derailed and he leaves.

Moni tells Pepe she’s going to Monterrey to work with her dad. He says he’s tired of the drama anyhoodle.

Kari tells Moni she got pregnant on purpose, woo-hoo! Moni does NOT approve. She does serve Kari wine. Probably figures with a mom like that, the baby should get a head start on drinking.

Ado calls Freddy “Joven Amors Hermosho”. She agrees to keep the news secret from Pina awhile.

Rebe Sr. and Candy go to Bar Bohemio for karaoke. The bartender makes eyes at Candy and stares at her with a dopey grin so long he looks like a total idiot. Finally he snaps out of it and brings over a free drink, but when Candy cuts him off with “I’m married” he claims it’s for Rebe Sr. because he loves her singing so much. They flirt and MamaRebe takes his phone number. Candy thinks he’s too young for her.

Enzo gives Chela and us a strip show. They may have had a conversation during that; who knows, doesn’t matter.

Sebástian could really stand to loosen up. He puts a suit jacket on to answer the door and accept a flower delivery. The note from Viv just makes him mad. At least he was formally dressed to tear it up. Wouldn’t do to have a fit all casual and whatnot. Throughout the rest of the episode Viv continues chasing after Seb and he finally tells her he’s found someone else.

Rebe faints and the family loads her into the back of La Burra for a trip to the hospital. She can thank her crappy doctor for necessitating this. Turns out she has pre-eclampsia, and the crappy doc wants to induce labor, nearly three months before the babies were due. Obviously there is much fretting and all missing family members must be summoned to the hospital to join in. Enzo and Chela were in bed, and I get a good laugh because apparently the director thought it necessary to show us Enzo pulling on his undies…and one can see he already had some on, this being a family show and all. Tom is busy working at Avon (and looking bored senseless), but Doc Oc shows up, conveniently home from Germany already.

Continuation of the side plots: Enzo and Moni go to Monterrey, and Moni is surprised at how bossy he is. The assistant (now Denisse, Haydee’s not in) says he’s usually worse. He admits to Moni he’s conflicted about the wedding. Perhaps he would like to know anything about it. Freddy and Adrián arrive at the big house at the same time as usual. Fortunately for Ana, she’s at the hospital stress eating so she misses them. Adrián taunts Freddy until he snaps.

And back to the hospital. We get some tedious childbirth theater, then the baby girl is delivered. The crappy doc makes Rebe suffer and fret needlessly with a stricken look on his face before finally telling her the baby is fine. Rebe starts struggling, though. Crappy doc tells Pancho he has to choose: the other baby, or his wife. {This is ABSURD. No decent doctor would ever ask the family member to make a decision like that. You do what you have to do, and if someone dies, at least the family member doesn’t have to feel guilty for choosing to kill them.} {Also, that baby could have been C-sectioned out in the time crappy doc spent yelling at Pancho to decide. They were all sterilized and in a clean room already. Just sayin’.} Rebe uses her last seconds of consciousness to insist that they save the baby. As soon as she’s out, though, Pancho flashes back to Laurita’s death and tells crappy doc to save Rebe.

Next thing we know, Rebe is waking up in the recovery room, and crappy doc is somberly telling Pancho he made the best decision. WHAT?, asks Rebe. She yells that she wanted the baby saved, not herself. HOW ARE THE BABIES?! Crappy doc looks all sad and stricken for a long long moment while she freaks out, but finally he tells her the babies are both okay. Rebe is still furious at Pancho for overruling her.

Crappy doc gains a few points by refusing to allow the big loud boisterous family into Rebe’s room. Just her mama. But then he loses all those points and then some by dramatically telling Rebe he has bad news about the baby boy.

Avances: Everyone’s celebrating, so I’m guessing the tragic news about the baby is that he has jaundice or something. Seems Fernanda isn’t doing so well, though.

Abismo de pasión #39 5/03/12: Horacio = fail, Augusto = fail, Ingrid = fail, Florencia = fail, Others = not much better.

Old beans, courtesy of EJ and Marta:
EJ - "Elisa is pregnant. No she is not. Prove it. Not only is she not preggers, she is still a virgin. So there."
Marta - PP: No need for a doctor from this funky-smelly town! I don’t trust them! I did the pregnancy test at Elisa’s and it was positive. Dam: And why precisely in front of Elisa? PP: I did it when she convinced me to do it. And if this serves to get Elisa away from you and stop bugging between us, I don’t regret it! Dam: Regardless, I want Dr Tovar to examine you to be sure you are cargada. PP:  No! We are sure! We are having a baby! Those tests are reliable! And I don’t get why you doubt me. Dam: All this is so strange… even more now that it turns out your friend Kenya is also cargada with a child of Paolo’s.

New beans:
Unfrigginbelievable, Damian does not automatically believe that Flor is pregnant, and he is suspicious because her friend Kenia is. Is this a telenovela first?  “No me digas!” Flor exclaims, feigning surprise at Kenia’s condition. “That must be why she came to La Ermita!”

Outside the clinic Begone-ya gives Paloma a hard time for “flirting” with Gael right outside her workplace, gasp! Paloma suggests she go inside where the chisme is hotter. Damien and Flo are having a “discussion”; they, ahem, ate the cake before the wedding so to speak. Paloma tells Gael that Flor deserves a slice of chisme instead of Elisa for a change.

Begone-ya rushes right on in and congratulates the half-happy couple. What does Alfonsina have to say about this preemptive strike? Damian cringes.

Paolo visits crying Kenia, not to see how she’s doing but to helpfully remind her it’s her own fault she lost the baby because she stole his bike. “No, it’s YOUR fault!”, she screams, “Largate imbecile!” (Just for fun I put that in the Google translator and it came up with “Take off asshole!”)

Ingrid slyly calls the clinic from work to find out about Kenia but hangs up when Maru comes back into the office. This telenovela has too many crappy mothers in it. And all the nice ladies are childless. No fair!

Enriquito visits pop at work just as Begone-ya rushes in exclaiming about the latest chisme. Damian and Flor are expecting! Enriquito leaves in a snit. Gordito grumpily asks why she’s there and frankly...she’s forgotten. No matter, she’s off to “congratulate” Alfonsina.

Dam visits Padre Lupe to tell him Elisa said she doesn’t know what she feels for Dam and she wants him to leave her in peace. Then he drops the bomb that he can’t dump Flor because she’s expecting his child. Cara impactada de padre.

Over at the The Only Bakery in La Ermita some bitch shuns Elisa. Looks like Operation Begone-ya Blabs was a success. Antonia arrives and is about to lose her shirt, no really.  Did you see it start to fall off? She tries to apologize to Elisa for something bad about her but Lolita chases her off.

Paolo, who only uses force when necessary, has a meltdown because he found his precious bike in the country, rolled, destroyed and alone (his exact words, LOL). To Flor’s credit, she can’t believe his insensitivity, only caring about the bike and not at all about Kenia. Aw heck, he says, quit yer bitching because Alfonsina paid Kenia off and Flor tricked Damian with the fake pregnancy so everything turned out just fine for her.

OK, pay attention now because this next scene is a winner. The Tangel-ho and her two cantaloupes have paid Alfonsina a surprise visit. Orangina says she couldn’t wait to see Alfonsina’s face, allow her be the first to congratulate Fina for being a happy grandmother. Just wait until the news spreads around the pueblo about Fina and her “respectable” family, bwahahaha! “Piffle,” says Fina, “mere rumors.”  The Tangel-ho’s eyes practically pop out of her head like ripe kumquats, “Soon every corner will be buzzing with the news about your son and his novia of questionable morals. See bitch, my family’s not the only pack of skanks in town!”

Gael sits in Kenia’s room. Is it the call of the blood? She wakes and doesn’t remember that he was the one who saved her. When he introduces himself she breaks into tears of joy, “Gael, what a great name.” He’s got to be wondering why all these new chicks in town keep acting so weird around him. Kenia tells him this must be what it feels like to have a big brother. Uh, OK.

Begone-ya has literally sprinted over to Hacienda Harango to congratulate Alfonsina. Which should they do first, the baby shower or the boda? Oh the boda first of course! Alfonsina rather too kindly dismisses her friend, she’s suddenly got a pain in the ass, er headache. (Snort! Get a load of Fina’s face.)

Back at Casa Castañon Elisa remarks to Lolita that Tonia said something she didn’t understand. Tonia wanted to apologize for saying bad things about Elisa but Lolita rudely ran Tonia off before she could explain. Lolita huffs they are all the same at Hacienda Harango and talking about Tonia turns her stomach. Elisa needles her about Braulio.

Lucio goes to the rectory looking for Gael. Padre invites him for coffee and Lucio accepts because he’s so lonely at home. He can’t stand to think about the way that Blanca died. He’s trying to move on, not only for himself but for Elisa who is now more alone than ever since Blanca’s death. Poor guy, I want to hug him and make a grilled cheese sandwich for him.

Assgusto ambushes Elisa so he can force a pathetic apology on her. He regrets what he did. Hmmmph, she regrets that he believes her word is worth nothing. He asks how the trip to Merida went. Pretty much a failure, she says, just like he predicted. But wait, Crap Dad’s not done yet. Tia Carmina told him the chisme about Dam and Flor and he’s happy for them. So happy that he doesn’t want Dam to ever darken their door again.
Flor gets home and finds Enrique waiting for her. Boo hoo he’s heartbroken that she’s expecting a baby and the wedding will go on as planned.

Next up at bat is Alfonsina. “Because of you we’re in every mouth in town!” (Yuck, must taste bitter.) Amazingly Flor admits that her embarazo es una mentira. She and Kenia cooked up the plot to rip Dam away from Elisa, but now she’s in a bind. “Help me, I don’t know what to do.” Fina grabs Flor and hustles her out of the room. “What we’re going to do is talk to Damian right now!” Say what you will about the Black Widow, she knows how to take control.

Gael is still with Kenia. She admits that she’s not really Flor’s friend, just the chick that got knocked up by Flor’s uncle Paolo. “No offense, but he’s the world’s worst lout,” observes Gael. Then he offers to call Kenia’s family for her, her mother maybe? Cue Ingrid and her weird, bobbing curls.

Elsewhere Horacio is busily hacking at Damian’s saddle strap or cinch or whatever it’s called.

Damian strides up ready for his ride, with Fina and Flor hot on his heels. Fina says they need to talk AHORA! “Not now ma, I need to ride,” he says. Flor says she wants to ride too. Damian and I both go “Huh?” He reminds her she’s afraid of horses. Horacio is in the background, fidgeting and waiting for yet another of his ill-fated booby-traps to go terribly wrong.

Clingwrap gets her way, the couple ride off and moments later down they tumble. Dam takes control, “Mom call the doctor, Horacio get the horse and find out what happened, Flor everything will be fine!” But Flor’s not fine because she certainly does NOT want to get examined.

Back at the clinic...
Kenia: Glare. I’m feeling better...ma’am.
Ingrid: Gael, I’ll call her mother, bad news is better coming from a woman.
Gael: See ya.
Kenia: I lost my baby, boo hoo. Alfonsina gave me money and I’m outta here.
Ingrid: How much money?
Kenia: Enough to start over. And by the way, I don’t want to see you ever again!

Begone-ya is on the phone making sure everyone knows the Elisa chisme that Alfonsina made Begone-ya swear not tell while knowing full well her yap would be flapping all over town. Ironically, Alfonsina has been trying to get through to the Tovar residence for the past fifteen minutes. “I need to talk to your husband right now!!” Doc Tovar heads off to the centro with Enrique trailing behind. Begone-ya excitedly picks up the phone with the new chisme about Flor.

Oh man, just when I was starting to think Elisa would have a tear-free day. She’s on her bed weeping, listening to their theme song, and remembering Damian’s kiss, sniff sniff. And that’s it, that was the obligatory crying scene.

Over at the clinic Enrique gets on Dam’s case for taking a pregnant Flor riding. Dam asks what business is it of Enrique’s and what is he doing there anyway? “Enrique, why do you seem more concerned than I?”

Paloma goes to the Pro Ces A Dor A to talk to her friend Damian about Elisa. Unfortunately Gabino finds her first and he doubts very much that Damian is friends with a witch’s granddaughter. Gabino throws her to the ground (the cad!) but luckily Maru sees and shoos him out. Maru tells Paloma that Dam is at the clinic with Flor. Paloma’s arm is bruised and I hope Damian sees it and asks why.

Stalker Ingrid is back at the rectory acting like an insufferable weirdo. She says for the 20th time she hopes Gael doesn’t have a bad impression of her. And for the 20th time he asks why should she care what he thinks? He tells her (finally!) he thinks it’s odd that she keeps sniffing around.

Padre shows up after Irritating Ingrid leaves and Gael admits She came to visit. Again. There is something very odd going on between that woman and Padre and Gael wants to know what it is! Naughty padre lies (badly) that he’s not hiding anything. He changes the subject, “Hey look at the pretty shiny object”, and tells Gael that Lucio and Elisa couldn’t get a loan.

Lucio visits Elisa to share an idea. Why doesn’t she make a contract with Damian? He’s sure Dam would help. No way, says Elisa. She won’t ask Damian or his stupid family for any favors.

Gabino slimes into the cantina to torment Horacio for buggering up Damian’s accident. These two just keep banging their heads against the wall.

Orangina is bored so she decides to torture Elisa. ‘Oh, you’re crying.” (Lady, she is always crying!) Agent Orange is on a roll, she tells Elisa that everyone she touches dies....her mother, her baby brother, and Blanca. I don’t know why Elisa doesn’t state the obvious, that the titian Tangel-ho seems to be fine and more vibrantly orange than ever.

Fina has joined Dam (and Enrique hovering in the background) just in time for Doc Tovar’s prognosis. No neck or spine damage, and hey, false alarm, she’s not pregnant either.

It’s a telenovela record, a false pregnancy cleared up within two episodes! What other telenovela cliche will Flor come up with to retain Damian?

Avances: Carmina and Paolo make eyes at each other. BUT Elisa calls Carmina on her perfidy and Assgusto stands behind her (it appears). Florencia is unmasked! (Not for long, I’m sure.)

El Talismán #67 Thu 5/3/12 Tonio Lies,El Viral Stalks

This will be a short bullet style recap. I missed the first ten to fifteen minutes of this capitulo today. Hubby had eye surgery early this morning and we got home just as the program was airing. He is fine and resting now so I will put up this recap.

Pedro and Marina are talking. He assures her everything he said is true. He leaves.

Tonio comes to see Mariana and confronts him with the fact that he got her pregnant just for El Tal. He wants to know where she heard this? She says Pedro. He says Pedro lies and Mariana is confused. Tonio tells her Pedro had a contract out on her to kill her. Santiago comes to the door and Tonio gets rid of him. Mariana wants to know who it was? Tonio says noone. Mariana doesn't remember anything. She wants to know if she was in love with Pedro, and Tonio tells her oh, yeah you were (liar, liar pants on fire). Pedro only married you for the money and El Tal. And besides he wanted to give the money to Cameela. He tells her she had and Aunt Patty, but she recently died. Mariana is upset that her Tia died. Tonio keeps pressing the point that Pedro is a liar, but for once Mariana isn't buying it. She says I don't beleive your claptrap. He tells her he has proof and hands over the fake newspaper article. He goes. She looks at it and is so shocked she has to sit down.

Cameela is nervous that Pedro went to see Mariana. Sarita and Padre tell Cameela to trust Pedro. Pedro comes back and Cameela wants to know what they talked about? They go back to El Tal so they can talk. Pedro tells Cameela he told Mariana he married her to give the baby a name and that they were always like brother and sister. Cameela wants to know what else. Well they kissed. KISSED!!!!! Oh, noes you didn't. You don't kiss your sister! He tries to explain that Mariana didn't remember anything and wanted to see if there were any feelings there. He tells Cameela that he told Mariana that he only loves Cameela, (what is this high school). As a matter of fact, he wants her to come with him to Mariana's. She really doesn't want to go but he talks her into it. They get to Mariana's and Cameela wants to leave, but Pedro says stay and talk to her. Mariana opens the door and is quite pithed off to see them there. She wants to know why Pedro didn't tell her, he was giving money to Cameela? She wants Pedro and Cameela to tell her the truth. Pedro you just wanted my money right? They both deny that, and Cameela is very indignant! They both want to know where she heard this from. She says Tonio of course! Don't beleive Tonio he is a liar. Mariana wants them to confess. She shows them the newspaper article.

Pigorio is out of the hospital and Doris is in the room with him, and just about the time they are getting cozy, who should walk in, (wait for it) Lucrazy. She wants to know why Doris is still here? She is divorced from Tonio now and she shouldn't be there. Then crazy as Lucrazy is, she senses something isn't right here. She has a little clue and asks them if they have something going on? Oh, they deny it of course. Pigorio turns it on her and says the obsession she has with Pedro is going to land her in all kinds of trouble and to stay away from El Tal. After Lucrazy leaves, Pigorio says something about Doris doing something and if she does, she will, wait for it, largate mi rancho para siempre!

Tracy and Panchito are on the porch talking and she asks him if he went to see Rennie by any chance and was it for Pigorio? Panchito hems and haws and says yeah kind of. Tracy tells Panchito in her English, Rennie is very dangerous, and in spanish muy peligroso. Panchito says his Papa is more than muy peligroso and not to worry. Lucrazy comes out and wants a cafecita and Tracy goes. Lucrazy tries to pump Panchito for info on Doris and Pigorio but Panchito isn't saying anything.

Tonio and Lucrazy are having a conversation and basically it was that they enjoy Pedro and Cameela's non wedding. Tonio swears he will get Cameela back by hook or by crook. He says Mariana doesn't remember anything and he has put thoughts in her head. Lucrazy tells him Cameela won't give up Pedro. Au contraire, is what Tonio says. I will find a way to make El Viral, oh noes, make Cameela marry me.

We find out Santiago's mother is in Mexico and Padre is determined to find her.

Manuel is at the hospital and tells the receptionist that Mariana is spending the whole day with Pedro. He asks if any patients have appointments, and she says no, but there is a woman in his office. He asks if it is Maria, she says no, an old friend of yours. He goes to his office and it is , wait for it, El Viral who today is a stalkerazi. She is all smiles and he asks her what she is doing there? She says to see you MI AMOR, get real already! She found out he was in town and just had to see him, and that their relationship was so intense, (oh please, someone, anyone, give HER the sleepytime tea). He looks at her like she is loca, and he tells her in no uncertain terms that Maria is the love of his life.

There were some things with Army, Angel, Maria, Flor and Fabi and their friends and they are mooning over lost love.

Tomorrow on El Talisman:

Tonio is doctoring those pills again.

Una Familia Con Suerte #233-234 Wed 5/2/12 Happy New Year

I am afraid this one might be a little jumbled: at some point last night, I got up. When I sat back down at the TV, I must have started my notes again, but in a different notebook. I don't know which one is which, so there could be a little time gap.

Anyway, the curtains rise on Lamberto (Beto's) Bunker of Love. They just finished a romantic dinner surrounded by livestock in cages (there's even a lamb. Can you imagine Beto killing a lamb?), and Ketita is still only mildly freaked out. She decides to perform a little psychology on him. He quickly admits that his anxiety is a result of his childhood - he was always "el nerd" and the other children picked on him. He used to go to sleep praying to not go to school the next days. This is just the right thing to say to a motherly Ketita, who gives him a kiss!

Much of the Lopez family assembles for the New Year's dinner. Lupita feels bad for killing Tomas' dream, but not *that* bad.

Doña Rebe and Candi must be extremely limber by now, because they've been doing stretches outside Pancho's house since last night's episode. Two identical-twin (down to their caps and goatees) delivery men show up with packages for Ana. Doña Rebe is smitten, but they're more interested in Candi. They love the calendar, they tell her. She gets a funny look, like maybe she just realized that those photos going public might not have been as nice a thing as she thought it was. The two men give their opinions on the best photos. "I like the schoolgirl." "I like Santa Claus."

Both of Ana's suitors, in their respective homes, are very pleased with themselves. "There's no way he could think of something this good!"

Doña Rebe and Candi crowd in on Ana... "open it, open it, don't read the note, just open it!" Adrian has sent her a fancy heart necklace with "AA" engraved for their initials. Booring... What did Freddy send? It looks like a picture frame and a mushy note. Poor Adrian... Ana's really gonna string him along before choosing Freddy. But she doesn't know that yet. The ladies are going to take her out for a makeover.

Doc Oc has good news - his condition is stable and he's taking Fernanda on a vacation!

Chucha, the fat maid is in love, as she tells Rebe. I don't know if they're making a cruel joke on her size, but the animated hearts that flash around her when she says so are brown and look like chocolate. Public Safety Announcement: she's been using contraceptives. Kind of sad that the second thing Rebe asks was "what if you get pregnant?" Hah, she doesn't want to lose a maid.

I can't help but laugh at poor Arnold's plight - Barbs just demands too much lovin! He's pretty funny. Likewise, Pancho has no sympathy and happily leaves the room when she shows up in a hot minidress.

Now the New Year's party can get started - the Astroloco is in the building! At dinner, he reads fortunes - I mean horoscopes. Doña Rebe is in for some prohibited love, and Candi has some dark signs. Pancho cuts Mario off right there, though. Realizing that he needs to lighten it up a bit, the Astro-nut gives his prediction for the new year: excitement and love! We see everybody's individual new-years countdowns: Beto in his boonkair, the Lopez in their place, Barb and Arnie dressed as romans in their private little bacchanalia (lol), and Chacho all alone.

Poor Sebastian thinks about his dead kid, who was asking to spend more time with him. He misses Pina...

Ana has a hilarious dream. Her, Pancho, Adrian, and Fred are all wearing giant stuffed heads and costumes (like mascots). Pancho shoots the starter gun and Ana (with her stuffed Accordeon) looks on in dismay as the two boys with giant heads race towards her. It's a tie and they leap on her. She wakes up and says "hmmm, I wonder what it means?" Dummy.

We meet Chucha's boyfriend, who's come to help her clean up after the party (chalk this one up on the list of random filler subplots, right next to the Astroloco). His name is Tiburcio, he's a little person, and Pancho makes some jokes at his expense but everyone forgives him because he's Pancho.

Meanwhile Barbs goes at Arnie for "round 10."

Sensing that the time is right, Frida makes an appearance at La Casa Popular. Pepe takes her out to eat, where she finds out he dumped la Sirena. She can barely restrain her glee, and very sweetly lets him know that *she* values him and would marry him at the drop of a hat. She makes an attempt, but he won't kiss her. Awww, what a dummy (Pepe).

Rebe is nauseous and has a headache and Palpitations. Pancho calls the doctor and then races out to get some sort of pressure gauge. Why not take her to this hospital? Doña Rebe comes in to fuss over her daughter. How sweet!

Candi and Doña Rebe make a really fun team. They discuss Karaoke, and I would LOVE to see them ham it up singing together. They take Ana out to get makeup and new clothes. There is some surprisingly dramatic music for the makeup sequence. Huh? Then Ana comes out (we don't see her) and the older ladies gape at her and there's a cut to commercials. Seriously, is a new outfit what passes for a cliffhanger now?

Pancho has taken to yelling for Chucha, just like Pina did. He admits to Enzo that he just likes yelling. I knew it!

Karina has sent Fred a text, urgently needing to see him! Fred ignores it, because he has enough on his plate and doesn't want to see her. Kari (at Monica's house) is telling everyone that it's a life-or-death matter, and Enzo lets slip that Fred is over at Pancho's house. The no-self-esteem stalker-chick pops up over there and announces that she's carrying Fred's baby! Uhhhh what? Wasn't Mérida a long time ago?

Fred has to snap out of it pretty fast, though, because Ana just arrived in her new getup. Incidentally, so did Adrian. Ana's outfit is hot but a few miles over the top. She's wearing a big black hat, gem-studded sunglasses, a black minidress with a torso cutaway surrounded by rhinestones, and sequined platform heels. Everyone gapes. Ana, however goes right to Kari. "What are you doing in my house, pelo de elote [corn hair]?"She gleefully replies "me and Fred are pregnant!"

That's all for last night. Did you guys notice the new animated transition-clips to signal the end of commercials? Also, it's back to the hospital next episode...
