La Sombra del Pasado #82 - Wed 6/10 - Undercover shenanigans
Hum gives Sev an "I told you so!" both about Cris' leg and Roberta giving birth. And he calls him on lying about the injury to his arm. Hum is sick and tired of being asked to do surgeries he's not qualified to do, and Sev can bring in his own damn surgeon if he doesn't like Hum's attitude, damnit!
Oh, hello, Em, with the curls in your hair! How hot is that! And the smooching! Oh, he's talking…wait, let me rewind that…he loves her, he's been waiting so long for this moment, to caress her and tell her how he feels about her, that he loves her, and he's tired of getting himself in trouble because he's too scared to tell her how he feels…he luuuuuuuuuurves her. And Lola luuuuuuuurves him too…but she doesn't know if she should trust him. If this isn't real, then she's just done the stupidest thing of her life. Em says Mari was a mistake. He keeps screwing up and he's tired of it. The truth is he loves Lola and he's convinced she loves him too. And no, he never said he was going to marry Mari. He swears. He'll talk to her and make it very clear. He says he hasn't made up his mind to marry Mari or any other woman, but if he does get to the point where he's ready to propose, it will be to Lola. The camera pans up to Soletario, who rolls his one visible eye at the two lovebirds. I know, dude…humans!
Doña Marga comes over to Tomas' house asking about the Bible classes. And she'll bring cookies. Tomas' mom can't say "no" to that. Lulu and a bunch of other young(ish) people get introduced to MISS Marga, who's going to be joining them for their reading. Marga (who never seems to mind being called "Doña" but is suddenly insisting on "Señorita") proves that she's as young-minded and hip as any of these kids by flashing them all peace signs. Tomas' mom chose today's reading in honor of her darling Tomas.
Who's tired of being locked in his hotel room with Pru. She talks to Val, who tells her she's refusing to give blood because she's pregnant and they'll know if they do a blood test. Pru whines at her that if Cris dies, Val had better have a backup plan so she doesn't end up being A SINGLE MOTHER…dun, dun, dun. Val's eyes widen, contemplating the horror. Just when I think they can't possibly make these characters any more tacky or insensitive. Thanks, show.
Ray and Joaquin are going to go to the park and then take the Candy House to the Padre to bless. Well…ok…it'll be blessed, but it still won't be edible!
Cande demands an update from Sev. She's horrified at the thought that her son could lose his leg. It won't be any fun controlling his life if he can't run away from her. No worries, Cande…there are some excellent prosthetics available and you've got the money to pay for them. Sev, actually appearing to be concerned about Cande, begs her to go home and get some rest. She pulls it together and says she'll go tell Cris goodbye and she'll see him later tonight. Sev is on "Keep Aldonza Alcocer away from Cris" duty in the meantime.
Adelina joins Joaquin and Ray at the park. She and Joaquin are both sad that Flavia doesn't seem to care about Ray. She hasn't even called to see if he's ok. Joaquin is thrilled that she left 'cause now he has a hot new "novia" (girlfriend, in this context). Their conversation is interrupted when Ray drops off the monkey bars and hits his head. The poor Candy House gets left at the park.
Cande lies to Cris and tells him that she hasn't left his side for a minute and she's sure Aldonza hasn't been there. Cris is semi-delirious and tells her to please make sure if Aldonza shows up that she knows he wants to see her. He'd have to be delirious to think Cande's going to pass on THAT message!
Ray got checked out at the clinic and is back home with a bandage on his forehead and instructions from the doctor to rest. Joaquin remembers the Candy House and Adelina says she'll go by the park and get it.
Uriel and Irma went out to dinner. They're trying to get back to some semblance of normality. Irma talks about how they've been ignoring Mari. Again. Uriel doesn't think his pain over losing Abelardo is ever going to go away. Irma reminds him that they still have each other. She pulls a 5ft and stands on a higher step to give her tall hunk o' man a hug. She notices the Candy House and they decide to take it to Padre J and see if he can help them find the owner. Because Padre J knows everybody.
Pru tells Tomas they should go back to SL tomorrow. She's worried about her "friends" seeing them together. Tomas pouts and whines until Pru promises more nookie trips. Dear Wardrobe Department: Thank you for finding Pru a robe that actually fits. If you could lose Tomas' socks, that would be great.
Aldonza is wondering if Cris has asked for her. She thinks Lola or Em will need to help her sneak in to see him. There is some question of where Lola and Em are, and the agreed-upon answer is "sleeping."
Yeah, no, they're so totally not. Sleeping together, maybe, but definitely not sleeping. Lola starts to leave, but gets pulled back into Em's lovin' arms. Will they, or won't they?
Pru takes the ice bucket out to fill it and runs into her "friend" who very rudely asks who "Tomas" is, won't accept any lies, and threatens to call Humberto if Pru won't tell her. She's highly offended that her "friend" Pru isn't telling her the truth, like "friends" are supposed to do.
Uriel and Irma are waxing rhapsodic about the Candy House and Mari remembers Lola asking her if Em had given her a Cnady House. She offers to take it to Padre J's. Y'know, so it can be returned to its rightful owner.
Adelina is worried because Lola isn't in her bed yet.
She and Aldonza sneak into Emmanuel's room and surprise the two (fully-clothed) sleepyheads hiding under the covers.
Blah, blah, blah, please don't tell my husband. Pru finally admits she has a lover and his name is Tomas. Her friend feels so much better now, knowing she's not the only "manzana podrida" (rotten apple) in Santa Lucia. She's been dying to tell someone, anyone. Pru sneers that she can't believe her frumpy friend could possibly have a dude on the side. This is great! Now they can form the Santa Lucia Cheaters Club and get together and compare notes. They promise to keep each others' secret. I don't know which one I trust less.
Adelina asks what could possibly be the stupidest question of the night, if not the stupidest question of all time…"What were you two doing?!" Well, Adelina, they certainly weren't baking a cake. Em grabs Lola by the waist and happily announces that they've made up. And he's not going to keep quiet about it. Aldonza says that Mari needs to be told about this, ya think? Em swears he's planning to tell her, but hey, things happened and love won out and they've been waiting and it just "exploto" (exploded). He means figuratively, right? The Judgmental Sisters keep harping on how he should've told Mari first. As they stand there. In Em's room. While he's kneeling on the bed. With his shirt unbuttoned halfway down to his navel. Serioulsy, people! Privacy! What is this, a convent? Las Animas? Em swears he's done with his life of misunderstandings and being with the wrong person. And he's not marrying Mari. Aldonza gives her blessing. Adelina does, as well, but as a deputy of Lola's grandparents, she's evicting Lola from this room NOW.
The next morning, Aldonza asks for the whole story. Val is off in the background, distracting me from Lola talking about how Em was looking "todo sexi" and then he told her to come over there and started the wet t-shirt contest and they ended up on the ground and, well…Aldonza knows the rest. Val hears them saying that Em is going to break it off with Mari today and goes off to do the thing Val does.
Joaquin is mourning the loss of the Candy House and he has to tell Ray that they've lost it. And they shouldn't tell Silvia.
Simoneta calls Lola to whine about being lonely and having no one to talk to. She begs Lola to come over, but Lola just says she hopes she feels better. She tells Irma that she thinks Simoneta is just trying to manipulate her and she's not really sick. Irma tells her to go and see what's happening, and if it turns out to be a ruse, then just leave.
Val tells Mari that it's her understanding that Emmanuel and Lola did EVERYTHING. She advises Mari not to be home so Em can't break up with her and not to answer her phone. And then she's going to follow Val's instructions so Lola can't end up with Em. That Val's all heart.
Lola goes over to Sim's house and helps her to the kitchen table. Simoneta lets slip that she's pregnant with you-know-who's baby. Lola realizes this will be both her and Cris' half-sibling. She agrees to "tutear" (address her with the familiar "tu") Simoneta. Sim is in tears about how she made a big mistake leaving Lola behind and not being in her life and never being able to get the time back.
Em has been trying to reach Mari, but now that he's determined to do the right thing she won't answer the phone.
Lola has been thinking about it and she doesn't want to "guardar rencor" (hold on to resentment). She knows she's going to end up forgiving Sim and lets Sim give her a hug.
Pru and Tomas say their goodbyes in the bus. Tomas tells her he "loves" her. Sure, dude. Whatever. Things get a little hot and heavy and the bus driver has to break it up.
Lola tells Simoneta to take care of herself as she's leaving her house. She calls Em from in front of Sim's house to find out if he's talked to Mari, but Em says he can't reach her. He's going to have to go to her house. Lola has already hung up by the time Em tries to tell her he's going to San Miguel for some reason.
Tomas tells his parents he's applied for school and he's waiting to hear if he got accepted, but hey, he could really use some money for school and a place to live in San Miguel and books and stuff.
Pru, instead of heading home, heads for the church.
But Padre J is at Las Animas. Since none of the family are at home, he asks Dominga to help him break into Severiano's office and find a copy of his signature. "It's complicated…." Dominga agrees to be his accomplice, for the sake of the kids.
Aldonza and Renato walk into the house at El Santuario. Aldonza is fuming about the engineers sniffing around the waterfall. She's sure that this is Sev's doing--trying to get his hands on her water! Renato calmly says they have no proof it's Sev and he wouldn't be able to do anything without a permit from the government and permission from the owner. In this case, Humberto. Aldonza says Sev can buy anyone, or hasn't Renato noticed? He asks how Cristobal is doing and suggests he escort her to the hospital and he'll use his Lawyer Superpowers to get them to let her in to see him.
Cris is worried that he can't feel his leg and they're not letting him go home. He begs Sev to tell him what's going on, but Sev says it's normal with the surgery and all the drugs and he just needs to relax.
Padre J finds some kind of certificate with Sev's signature and promises Dominga that he won't tell anyone she helped him. They head out of the office just as Cande is walking in…or is it out? She's wearing a different outfit. She asks Padre J what he's doing there.

I can't tell if it's just me or if this episode was a little off somehow.
Ok. I got a sneaking feeling Uni did some snipping when we didn't even see Eman and Lola kissing on the ground, so I looked on YouTube, found the episode, saw the hot kisses that Uni cut, watched them again. But by the third time I was ready to dive in, Uni had blocked the video. I looked elsewhere. I found it here, min 2:55 in after that first scene with Sever and Hum-- enjoy!:
http://www.urracatv.com/2015/03/la-sombra-del-pasado-capitulo-82.html
The candy house is on the move!
Nice to see Uriel and Irma healing more each day, and connecting with each other again.
Was disappointed Pru found a partner in crime, but feel like these two women will turn on each other soon, or at least start spreading gossip about each other.
Now that Hum is ticked off and tired of being pushed around again, maybe he'll be willing to sell the land, or at least put a stop to Sever's plan to divert the water.
Oh, I don't think for a minute that either Pru or whatsherface could keep a secret if their lives depended on it! I wonder who she's sleeping with.
Which reminds me that one of Em's sexi propositions to Lola before she fell back into bed with him was that she ought to come out to the stable tomorrow and help him bathe Solitario...to conserve water. That horse is the best wingman ever!
If Tomas had a theme song, I guess it would be "Love the One You're With." That farewell in the bus seat went a little wild. Wonder if the bus driver has to break up couples very often?
I have only one quick comment at this time: Senorita Marga--the one who joined the youth bible study in Tomas' home--is the original Candy House Lady!
Hope to have more time to comment tomorrow.
:o)

I think the most intelligent thing that went on last night was when Solitario cast his resigned look on Lola and Eman.
I was really afraid that by the time Lola decided to go see her mother, she would stumble onto a crime scene where Sev had slaughtered her, and that may still come, but for now they had a meeting of the minds, and a show of respect for each other.
I liked Aldonza's knowing and empathetic smirk when she and Adelina found Eman and Lola in bed together. I didn't find it believable that those two had been pawing over each other all afternoon, and they were both still fully clothed.
As usual, Sev swaggers and threatens. I loved how Hum told him to buzz off. Even though not really qualified to do so, Hum saved Cris's life. Sure, he may need further treatment, and I'm sure he'll get it, but at least he's not dead. Way to show gratitude, Sev. I'm taking you and Cande off my Christmas card list.
Why does Cande continually lie about things that are so easily checked out? Just a quick conversation with Eman could confirm that Aldonza has been there wanting to see Cris, but was blocked by Cande.
I am interested in how the water diversion project will go. Will Sev try to do it with force, or will he prevail on Hum to give him legal permission? After last night's threats, I don't think Hum is in a sharing frame of mind.
Wow, Pru and Tomas were getting pretty hot and heavy on the bus. I don't see how Tomas thinks he can get away with getting money from mom and dad for school. Guy is just dumb.
Thanks again, 5ft. Always a delight to read your stuff.
David
"It won't be any fun controlling his life if he can't run away from her"
"She pulls a 5ft and stands on a higher step to give her tall hunk o' man a hug" Hehe, me too. I got a little stool just the right height much better than tiptoes and a little lunge.
Bless you Emanuel, be still my heart. I say ya'll done it and don't want to hear otherwise.
More later. Thanks, Diva!
Kat- Yes, that line about helping him bathe Soletario and conserve water was pretty sexi. As was his breathless request just before that that Lola spend the night with him. Seriously, the director was trying hard to keep things PG by keeping their clothes on. I guess we should be grateful, because otherwise Uni would have cut the whole thing.
David
Geez, you guys! E and L just got back together! I can believe that hands might have wandered over (and under) certain articles of clothing, but I'm not surprised that clothing stayed on. I just want to know why Val cares so much; doesn't she have enough to worry about? Is it just because Lola's happy? Ugh, whatever.
I'm surprised at the scenes we're not seeing that seem important: Aldonza trying to see Cris, Aldonza coming across the engineers. Did we really need the Dona Marga scene or the P/T goodbye in the bus? I feel like those could've been trimmed a little.
I was surprised that Tomas started asking for money already, since Pru is bankrolling their trysts. Unless he's hoping to set up a love shack in San Miguel...
Teresa is PUSHY! I'm glad she admitted herself that she's a hypocrite hiding behind her mantle of "good, Christian housewife". She and Pru will destroy each other. And was anyone else surprised that she was talking about Val's BIG SECRET in front of Tomas, with no attempt at subtlety? Not that he's paying a whole lot of attention, but still.
I figured Mari would let Lola know that she has the candy house and that Eman gave it to her, that way Lola can be hurt and pouty for the next 30 episodes.
While David is surprised that Cande lied to Cris because the lie is so easily verified, I'm surprised that Cris always believes what his mother said. Why did he even ask her that question in the first place?
J in Oregon- OMIGOSH THE CANDY HOUSE LADY! That's awesome. Thanks for pointing it out because I totally missed it! I swear that story interests me more than Cris and Aldonza.
I wish Cris and Aldonza could generate that kind of heat.
Cris - if you were gonna let me lay here and die why'd you patch me up
Pru - it ain't wrong if everybody's doing it
Val - if I can't be happy no one else will
Adelina - don't knock it till you try it
PJ - Permission Impossible
Tomas - oh yeah, I'll burn the midnight oil, promise
Candy House - damn and I was enjoying the evening in a cool dry place
Gracias, J in O! Yep, that was indeed the same Marga...I wonder now if her showing up was about the comedy of this Bible study club actually coming together or something to do with the Candy House?
Gracias, David! I was just grateful for once that we got a sign of any hormones in the younger set. I was beginning to worry!
Hi Gobluefan! If the actor has an IMDB profile, it might be listed there. How did you like the recap?
Gracias, Sara! That poor horse. He just wants his bath and some oats...is that too much to ask? Instead he gets horny teenagers.
Vivi, you make a good point. If clothes on means I actually get to see some steam, then I'm all for it!
Gracias, hellashelle! I wonder if it's Lola that Val doesn't want to be happy or Emmanuel? I'm not going to buy that she's doing it for Mari's sake when she didn't give a rat's ass about being there for Mari when Lardo died.
let's see if we can track this...
Mystery Man (the original maker? purchaser?) puts the ring and a letter inside and gives it to...
Marga, but we don't know if she ever found the ring and/or letter. She gave it to...
Lola, so that Lola would be able to give Em something way better than Mari's stinky chocolates. She gave it to...
Emmanuel, who made the mistake of stashing it in his closet, where...
Pru got her hands on it, claiming it in the name of having to put up with Em in her house. But once everyone started looking for it, she took it over to...
Tomas, who was supposed to hide it, but instead put it up on Ebay. I don't remember why, but I could have sworn he gave it to...
Lardo to hide for him. But Lardo, the slob, hid it in his closet and when...
Irma came in to clean, she took it and gave it to...
The church for the raffle/fundraiser where...
Silvia and Renato jointly won it. But then Renato started acting all un-lawyerly, so Silvia gave it to...
Ray and Joaquin, where it might have stayed, had they not...
Left it in the park after Ray fell, where...
Irma and Uriel found it and took it home, intending to have Padre J help them track down the real owner, except that now...
Mari has deputized herself to do that, even though none of us believe she's really going to take it to Padre J, but use it to torture Lola with.
Have I got all the Candy House movements in there? If this is accurate, then why doesn't Irma remember it from before? Am I misremembering that it was stashed in Lardo's closet at one point?
I did a term paper on the Amish wehen In was in high school , and I seem to remember discovering during my research that in the past, they used to practice something called ''bundling.'' Teens would visit their honeys to court and get into bed fully clothed to talk. I think there might have been a board placed between the boy and girl. Or..maybe that was a dream I had while I was writing the paper. It sure seemed like the writers wanted us to think that the two had stayed clothed and just necked.
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel as if Cris's besties...AL, Emsn, and Lola are not as concerned about his condition as I thought they should be....lots of necking, laughing...que ????
So we now know who the Petrified House belongs to? Ok, well, let's see who this friendly neighborhood Biddy.2 is related to in the past. That house has a life of it's own.
I have to watch this eventually just to be able to watch SuperSleuth PJ at work. Cracks me up that a priest is doing some breaking and entering, lying, getting other to conspire with him...help I'm guessing to know the guy upstairs and promise a few Hail Mary's needed for his Scooby Gang and they are good to go. Find it fascinating that he is the character that is going to dig and uncover the goods.
You know, I think in his own weird way, Tomas really does have feelings for Pru. Nothing good will come of these two I'm guessing, but their dynamic is an interesting one. Neither is a wonderful person, above board with family, find no problem lying their way out of any circumstance, perfect match in a way. Like a train wreck you can't stop watching.
Daisynjay
Daisynjay - that'd a perfect description of the Pru/Tomas story. The train wreck you have to watch.
Sara, it would make sense, then, that Irma didn't recognize it. I just had this vague memory of one of the guys deciding to take a hammer to it and I remember how distraught Tomas was that he'd lost the big sale...so I couldn't imagine Tomas being the one who decided to dig in.
And I'm really concerned I remember these details but can't remember major plot line details.
Kat- IKR? All these people getting in the way of Candy House's Adventures!

Pru got her hands on it, claiming it in the name of having to put up with Em in her house. But once everyone started looking for it, she took it over to...
Tomas, who was supposed to hide it, considered eating it, but instead put it up on Ebay. He hid it in his closet and when...
His mom came in to clean, she took it and gave it to...
The church for the raffle/fundraiser where...
Silvia and Renato jointly won it. But then Renato started acting all un-lawyerly, so Silvia gave it to...
Ray and Joaquin, where it might have stayed, had they not left it in the park after Ray fell, where...

Mari has deputized herself to do that, even though none of us believe she's really going to take it to Padre J, but use it to torture Lola with.
I am not looking forward to more of Mari's Mean Girl treatment of Lola. Lola won't believe Emanuel when he tells her he never gave the Candy House to Mari and poor Irma will have to fix that problem.
Got to go for now; I'll be back late this afternoon.
I kind of wish the production team had woven the Candy House's travels into the plot. It's a fun side story, but it would've kicked the main plot up a notch if the Candy House was involved.
Tractor sighting last night in the field of dreams.
Covered what I saw.
I was afraid that ally and lola were talking about there plans to get the DNA test with sev's forged signature, Im glad to know it was something else.
These folk really need to be careful. Now pj &
Ermi gotta come up with a believable lie, hopefully not told by the padre J, as he is in enough trouble. She can lie and they can both go and repent later.
Lets hope cande believes it, cause she'll know if they are lying, being the "SEASONED LIAR" that she is.
That candy house just might have some secrets in it. The only way to find out is if someone accidentally drops it. Or maybe its just a candy house. But its being passed around to some of the main characters. Humm!!!! Very interesting ;-)
Or not.
Nina
I'm upset that Aldie's not more upset. I'll give Lola and Eman a little pass right this second because they're distracted with their new love and the new farming and the new mother and the new horse and all that. They need to get back on the worry train tonight though. I don't like the way they're not worried. Bad character development.
Gracias, Urban! At least we know Irma will step in. Small consolation.
tofie, I agree. I don't think Val really cares about Lola. It's Mari who wants Lola to be unhappy.
Gracias, Nina!
Susanlynn, I think she just doesn't want to play the "I'm his wife" card in public. It will look bad when Cande starts spreading it around that Aldonza and Cris are siblings. And Santa Lucia being Santa Lucia, that would, of course, only reflect badly on Aldonza and not Cris. At least, I'm assuming that's what the logic is behind not just presenting the marriage certificate and taking over. Even if Cande wants to whine that they're getting a divorce, it doesn't matter...they're not divorced yet. Sev and Cande should not be having any say in Cris' medical care right now. I'd like to think that if Aldonza were consulted, she wouldn't have wanted an anxious Humberto to operate. Renato probably would have done the reasonable thing and called his dad to find him the best vascular surgeon he knows and get him to Santa Lucia ASAP. He may want Aldonza for himself, and he may want them divorced, but I don't think he wants Cris to die.
And wasn't Joaquin and the new farm employee using a plow pulled by a horse...what ???? ? Is Al Amish ? If AL has an ag degree, she must know what a tractor is . Don't they have John Deere in Mexico ??? How about Massey Ferguson ???? The dealerships are all over the U.S.
I can't wait to see the horse roll his eyes. Wheeee! We might have to set up a table for him on the Patio.
tofie - LOLz on your list!
Cris is most likely under the influence of pain killers and not to be held accountable for anything he said.
The Candy House .... on the move again! I am hoping that it will figure into one of the storylines, maybe even with an O. Henry twist at the end.
Aldonza is wearing her telenovela beanie hat.
http://www.deere.com.mx/es_MX/regional_home.page
Gracias, doris! I have not previously declared a table for any galan, but I think I would sit at the Solitario table. That is a fine, fine horse! I wonder if he'll ever have a gorgeous lady friend.
Oh, and I forgot to mention the ice cream scene with Silvia and Pato.
First, his sweater brought back memories of http://badsweaterguy.typepad.com blog.
Second, that was a really cool scene, two friends sharing ice cream, being open and honest with each other, which . . .
Third, gave me pause to consider that THEY might end up as a couple by the Gran Fin.
Okay.... I'm off to Pilates in a few minutes and the comment bombing will stop. LOL
Doris- that was indeed music from K-paz de la sierra. Aka music from ADCLG. I show that in class every year. I would know the music anywhere. Seems a little odd for a romantic theme. Especially in this show where the music is already so romantic.
"The camera pans up to Soletario, who rolls his one visible eye at the two lovebirds" and "I know, dude…humans! Serioulsy, people! Privacy! What is this, a convent? Las Animas?" were among my favorites.
My TV is still smoking from the hawt Eman/Lola scenes.
It was so nice to see a little romance, wasn't it? Wonderful to see an episode where no one was stabbed, robbed or otherwise maimed or hurt.
I felt sick when I saw Val eavesdropping. I know she has something sleazy up her sleeve. Glad I savored the love scene as I suspect we won't be seeing any more in the near future. Eman has made many poor decisions. I hope he wises up. I'm just wondering if he should fear Val or Uriel more?? Tough choice.
Diana
I think it was significant that Lola didn't hear Eman say he was going away for a few days. Enough time for Mari and Val to do some damage with Lola.
I spotted the tractor in the field too.
OK. It would have been sweet and all for Al to be in the hospital all day trying to get in to see Cris, but I was actually kind of glad she was doing farm business that day-- she mentioned stuff she was going to do when she and Adelina left for the fields that day (wasn't paying attention). I wish they had also shown her confronting the engineers trying to divert the water, but once again that tells us she was out on the land all that morning too. Better working than wringing her hands in the hospital.
David
Ok, so I went down to Starbucks for a quick lunch break to watch a little of the episode on my Kindle with Hulu. The comments on Allie seeming to be going about her business a little casually considering the state Cris is in...at first before I watched I would have been, well maybe she doesn't know, but, dang, I have to admit that everyone on her side of the fence just seems a tad to casual about it ( or can I say not even thinking about it.) yes, do E-man and Lola get a pass, because girl, if I was Lola I would be forgetting my name after some of that smooching. Sigh...
ANYHOO...Allie, not sure I get. We had the little kiss, which they made such a deal about I guess because she thinks she may still be his 'sis...whatever, but I have to say I agree that if she was that ALL IN, as we say here in Cleveland, with the man and he was in that bad of shape, I would be calling, hanging in the lobby, checking in constantly...If anything, now we see, her faithful doggy Renato will be going with her if she does go.
Again, there is something just off on how she approaches this love they have, and nothing is being done except music and close ups to keep us thinking they are fate. Cris may be from his side, but Allie is just too messed up and I don't see how she crosses that comfort line to convince me those two are going to make a successful go of things. Guess we aren't suppose to think that...just get them to the altar with the white gown and pink bows. It's a show, it's a show....
Daisynjay
(OK. Back to work.)
So Lola and E-man were under the covers with their clothes on. Family show hour?
No the show wasn't off, it was good as always but Uni will get a 2nd in a row email for it's cuts.
In some novelas the people on the patio complain about the secondary characters and their own little side stories. Those secondary side stories never bother me. I've always liked them as they add a little depth to the main story line. There are other people in the world, state or city than just the small band of main characters that the novel is written about. In this novela however, a secondary theme is not other people with minor roles to play, no, it's a candy gingerbread house. The adventures of the candy house where will it end up next is a novel idea.
OK---My question about Soletario. E-man offered to buy the horse but Sever refused
to sell him and so E-man stole him. That sent the police out to investigate. Whatever happened to that? Did Sev drop the charges against the theft? No one seems
to care or be worried about anymore.
must see tv tonight. Cris hears Aldonza's voice ant tries to get to her.
the gringo
Vivi, thanks for the Eman/Lola clip. I agree that we'd better stock up on romance. That barn yard roll in the grass packed more wallop and lasted longer than all of Cris and Donnie's lip-locking for the whole show!
Poor Solitario was looking like he's mourning the loss of Eman! Solitario is more faithful, Eman! As soon as Val pulls her little stunt, Lola will be upside your head but not in the way you imagine!
Also I will definitely sit at a Solitario table on the patio...as long as we can save a place on the table for the Candy House.
Don't know why, but it's easier to focus on Pru and the Casa de Caramelos right now than try to deal with a threatening Sev and a screeching, lying Candela.

Vivi - yes, ITA, very romantic scene full of hawt chemistry. Romantic can happen with people fully clothed, running hands thru hair, across lips, a certain look in their eyes. . .
cathyx - I agree about E-Lo's music NOT sounding romantic at all. But given the number of times those two have been on-again/off-again, it might be appropriate?
Or how about some Barry White ?
Hm. But Diva did say mariachi was always the answer.
Conundrum.
And cake.
I love Etta James.
And cake.
And warm cake or cool, it's all tasty.
BRING ON THE HOT ROMANCE!! YAH, BABY!
:D
"If only Lola and Eman would stop talking and keep kissing, then they'd be ok." Lol, Vivi! From your lips to the writers' ears'!
Gracias, gringo! I can't be sure, but in addition to cutting the completely innocent and fully-clothed kissing...did it seem like whatever brought on the "Damn engineers!" rant might have been cut as well? Or maybe they just didn't feel like filming an actual scene where Aldonza went out to the waterfall and found a bunch of people out there and confronted them about what they were doing.
Gracias, Lila! Yeah, that kissing made up for a LOT of things...but maybe not all of them...so possibly we need more....
Lol, Nina, I think I've gotten to the point where I assume anything in a comment that looks kind of funky was probably autocorrect.
Um...romance...cake...mariachis...wait...what was the question? I got distracted....
Judyb teaches aerobics and was always looking for a good peppy tune. Awhile ago, I suggested ''Blurred Lines.'' That one always got me moving. ..but not in a romantic way.
The love scene between Em and Lo was adorable. You just can't miss with a horse, horse play, straw and lots of water. But, Lola has a long way to go before she is mature enough for any meaningful relationship! Of course, any mature relationship would be completely out of place in St. Lucia, excepting Irma and Uriel!
Daisy, I loved the way you used the word "messed up" in reference to Alde, she is truly messed up, I see goodness in her, I hope she can heal.
Joaquin, hey dude, slow down, you are still very married and you have a small child, take care of legalities first, por favor!
Diva, love your recap along with the image of Mr. 5ft with you on a step, so cute and sweet. Thanks!
And patience is a virtue!!!
Nina, until ole Sev is gone, the good guys will have a very difficult time in this little pueblo, and we'll have to exercise our patience just to watch it.
It's gettin late, gotta turn in. Work in the morning. THANK GOD FRIDAY IS COMIN!!!!
