This was an enjoyable post! Thank you! I'm excited about the Lazos the Amor remake! Angelique and Sebastian?! I'm there!

Is anybody else getting https in red or orange and crossed out when on Caray, Caray. THIS MEANS A PART OF THE SITE IS NOT SECURE. WHAT CAN BE DONE?
See article below.

SEEING "HTTPS" CROSSED OUT IN RED OR ORANGE TYPE IN GOOGLE CHROME'S ADDRESS BAR?

Are you seeing this in the address bar at the top of your Google Chrome window for a website?
Screen shot of Google's affirmatively insecure warning.
That is how Google Chrome version 42 indicates that a website is insecure.

If you see this, do not log in to the website. Instead, contact the website owner and let them know that Google Chrome is flagging their site as insecure.

Sometime in Spring 2015, Google Chrome version 42 (available in beta as of March 2015) is expected to be released. This version of Chrome flags as insecure sites with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates that use SHA-1 instead of SHA-2. If you are interested in the technical details about this or manage a website at U-M and need to update your site's SSL certificate, see Upgrade SSL Certificates from SHA-1 to SHA-2.

I think It's kinda been confirmed that the Producer for Lazos De Amor will be Angelli Nesma. I saw an advertisement that they are looking for young triplets who resembles Angelique Boyer. I dont know how credible this page is, but i thought i would share here is the link to the video https://www.facebook.com/abismodepasionoficial/videos/vb.343882055637782/1234189496607029/?type=3&theater

Also in her twitter page account Angelli has posted about starting a new project "Lazos De Amor" https://twitter.com/AngelliNesma_M/with_replies
And that it will air after "Pasion y Poder" March 2016 in Mexico.

I'm on a chromebook and I get an orange exclamation point for "Site Identity" and "Connection Information". This is on the HOME PAGE.

According to this article on google help this is NORMAL for regular HTTP sites.

https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95617?p=ui_security_indicator&rd=1

The site identity warning seems to be because Caray hasn't provided the server with a certificate. (Whatever that means.)

"These icons let you know whether or not a sites uses TLS (Transport Layer Security) or SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates to prove it's the site it claims it is with Chrome. You can tell if a site is real if it has a valid TLS/SSL certificate."

The site isn't encrypted. That is also normal for HTTP sites.

I'm not an expert, but Jane set this up with blogger/google. I bet we are still a real site. I´m honestly not that worried. We aren't a custom domain. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I notice the comment form is secure. So when you click on the "comments" link, you ARE taken to a page with a private connection and a valid identity. That is the only page where you are asked to log in.

I'm sure we'll get a better answer later.

Wow, Sara thanks.
Like right now on this page, I'm getting the orange font crossout for https. Also I'm getting in on a good deal of other sites.

You shouldn't see it on https sites, because those aren't necessarily secure anyway.

It seems as if Google wants a higher level of encryption to match the new Google Chrome 42 version (beta) with a higher level of encryption.

So I don't know what to do except throw the phone KY the window to Mars.

I'm calling Samsung later in the day, and hopefully they can provide answer.

Thanks again Sara.

"Freeview latino" on Xfinity Sept. 21-Oct. 4 for Hispanic Heritage Month. Over 300 movies they said!!

Gracias, Encaje Rojo! Added GH's release date up top.

Gracias, Lily!

Victoria, I see that as well, and I don't think it indicates that anything is wrong with the site. It's a reminder that this is a public site where it's not advisable to share any information that you don't want the entire Internet to see. I will follow up with Blogger/Google for confirmation.

Gracias, Shelloh! Added Angelli as tentative producer.

Sarah, that's correct. We're legit, we're just not a private or secure site. Anyone can visit without having to log in first. Again, I'll check.

Gracias, Jarifa! I'll have to check that out!

Thanks Diva,
I really appreciate it. My brain is dead from reading all the articles. It's funny but it just started happening over the weekend.

*decides what to bring up in order to rustle up conversation into this neck of the woods*

So you guys know what I love? When there's a Saturday special for the novelas that are ending on Sunday in Mexico.

YNCELH, LSdP and QTPD...YN got one each although I've only seen 2/3.

I promise to share the link for Yo No Creo's with you guys when most appropriate coughdecembercough.

Sombra's special I have the link for and could share it right after a lovely show of hands- well comments.

Que Te Perdone's I can't find anywhere at all and haven't seen (I had the opportunity but chose not to thinking I'd be able to later. However a while ago, I was able to read a resumen about it on a foro I enjoyed trying to make sense of.)

After being shot by Diana, Renata fell into a coma and that's where our special begins. As she lies in a hospital bed, she dreams about Macaria having taken Abigail for life then returning with her at some point. Diana and Mateo are together- that's it for them since their parts in this scenario weren't elaborated on as much. Abigail comes through with a marriage to Diego only for this to become LQLVMR because she gets caught doing the deed with Mateo by Diego. While these two are pretty much killing each other, Abigail is nude in bed watching. Now here's where I sort of forget what happens- either they actually kill each other or Fausto appears and offs the two of them and makes a break for it but not before telling Abigail whom she is the daughter of. I think 2/3 of the latter occured but also think the 3rd is a viable occurrence. Either way, Abigail finds out who is her real mom and then is seen in a casket since she took her life. After Renata cries over Abigail's dead body, the special has reached the corner of reality and the end as Renata, who in case we forgot was in a coma, wakes up and by wakes up, I mean her eyes unlock violently fast. I guess the whole thing was a dream- well... nightmare, which is an interesting concept.

I hold hope for a Saturday Special like those for La Vecina.

Hasta Luego.

Hello everyone, I first off wanted to add my thanks to Diva for (continuously) creating and providing for us these most-helpful "upcoming events"-type pages. You rock, Diva! :-)

I also thought that I'd add whatever information I can into the fray... Here goes:

Pasion y poder begins airing IN MEXICO on October 5th, in the 9:30 slot after Lo Imperdonable. Lo Imperdonable fans back in the States who may be wondering how many episodes you have left up there can take note that last nights episode down Mexico way was number 108. So, take todays date and count up from 108 until October 5th and then you'll have your answer.

Casting has already been noted here, but I can provide a bit more detail in that Michelle Renaud will be playing the daughter of Jorge Salinas' 'Arturo' (galan) and Marlene Favela's 'Nina' (villana). Fabiola Guajardo is also in it... from what I understand her character is the best friend of lead heroine Susana Gonzales. Likewise Altair Jarabo who (for once) is NOT playing a villain, and Ecuadorian actor Danilo Carrera is the youth galan, in the role of villain Fernando Colunga's son..

The promo videos for this one look kick-ass (Marlene Favela in particular looks like a villana to die for). Here's a link to the most recent (and best):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1uj_17-Hzs&feature=youtu.be

Simplemente Maria is also now filming in earnest, as has been noted. It premieres down Mexico-way on November 9th in the 4:15 spot, after Amor de Barrio. Here's more information as to the cast and the characters they're going to be playing:

Claudia Alvarez - Maria (heroine)
Ferdinando Valencia- Cristobal (galan 1)
Jose Ron- Alejandro (galan 2)
Arleth Teran- Vanessa (villana. Sister of Alejandro)
Ana Martin- Feli (mother of heroine. Runs a humble 'pension')
Carmen Becerra- Karina (antagonista. Best friend of Vanessa)
Humberto Elizondo- Adolfo (father of Alejandro & Vanessa)
Monica Sanchez-Navarro- Georgina (mother of Alejandro & Vanessa)
Norma Herrera- Carmina (lives in Feli's pension, reads Tarot)
Silvia Manriquez- Marcela (person who helps Maria)
Claudia Troyo- Estela
Michelle Ramaglia- Pina

A little bit of gossip here about this one: two actresses- Leticia Perdigon (who, in my opinion, was one of the (VERY FEW) really GOOD things about TSTSNBN, and is consistently good in everything she is in), and the legendary Mexican actress Maria Victoria had BOTH signed on for roles in this novela, with their characters having been drawn and photo shoots of these actresses in character taken. Then the producer decided that he was spending too much money on cast salaries and axed them both. Shady!

Producer Roberto Gomez Fernandez is bringing us the latest production that's come onto our radar, an adaptation of one of the most successful Spanish novela/series' in recent times, the period mystery piece 'Gran Hotel'. THIS one sounds awesome- a man goes to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his sister, who vanished while working at this sprawling 'Gran Hotel' that's full of all sorts of mysterious secrets and shady characters. As noted, three actors have already confirmed- Erick Elias is to be the protagonist/galan (he beat out, among others, Mark Tacher, Jorge Poza, and Marcelo Cordoba for the role), the other two are two true telenovela titans- Daniela Romo and Diana Bracho.

Sra. Romo was the very first to sign on to the project and, at first hearing, one would think that she would be a shoe-in and a perfect fit for the role of the hotel's imperious owner, Doña Teresa, a character of devious mind and overwhelming personality who is so alike another, previous, memorable character played by Sra. Romo (and here I refer to Doña Juana Arellano in 'Alborada') that it's almost uncanny (a classic line from Teresa- "Te trato asi para que no olvides quien soy" / "I treat you like this so you will never forget who I am"). But, no, in fact Sra. Romo is to play the hotels implacable governess, and another classic telenovela actress/villainess is playing the hotel's owner- Diana Bracho.

So this one is off to a good start, already. With the role of the galan having been filled, the list of actresses that have read and auditioned for the role of the female protagonist is like a Who's Who of heroines- Ana Brenda, Zuria Vega, Cecilia Suarez, Ximena Navarrete, Ximena Herrera, and Danna Garcia.

Also, as has been mentioned before (and of special interest to CarayCaray readers, many of whom are stateside) this one will also be premiering in the States before it does in Mexico.

'A que no me dejas' is in full swing down here. It debuted to shockingly low ratings, which as it turns out wasn't so much a statement as it was an inescapable and factual statement as to where novelas are right now as, without exception, every Televisa telenovela airing presently down here ('A que no me dejas', 'Amor de Barrio', 'La Vecina', 'Lo Imperdonable', and 'Antes muerte que Lichita') are all on average around 4 full points LOWER than novelas airing in the same time slots in every recent year previous. Still, those that are watching it sing it's praises, and critics alike are unanimous in declaring it a novela of high quality.

For those who don't know, and are curious, this novela is a remake of a true classic, 'Amor en silencio', which first aired in 1989 and had absolutely everything going for it- Erika Buenfil and Arturo Peniche were the two leads, and it was produced and written by three people who I think should be considered a Holy Trinity of Telenovela writers/producers- Carla Estrada was the producer, and the two writers were Liliana Abud (the most prolific telenovela writer/adapter- and of GOOD novelas- of all time), and Eric Vonn, unquestionably the most radical and 'envelope pushing' telenovela writers out there, whose works are almost always 'unlike any other'. Almost all of Sr. Vonn's work in the past two decades has been with either Telemundo or TV Azteca (if any readers may be wondering why they haven't heard of him) but in all three networks he has given us classics or modern classics- 'Amor en Silencio' and 'Mi Segunda Madre' for Televisa, (the only other work he has written for Televisa over the last twenty years was another truly unique novela- 'Piel de Otono'), 'Tierra de Pasiones' and 'Pecados Ajenos' for Telemundo, and 'La Loba' and 'Cielo Rojo' for TV Azteca.

From what I understand and have read, this is a faithful adaptation of the original, that deserves better ratings. If the protagonist couple could be said to be untested (Camila Sodi hasn't done anything since 2004's 'Inocente di ti', unless you count something in 2014 which I had never heard of- 'Senorita Polvora', and this is Osvaldo Benevides' first lead role after his successful co-starring turn in LQLVMR), the surrounding cast is stellar- Leticia Calderon's first role in three years is as a tender and supportive matriarch (after creating back-to-back iconic villains in ENDA and 'Amor bravio'), Arturo Peniche is her husband, Salvador Zerboni and Lisset in supporting roles, Laura Carmine is the youth antagonist, and Alejandra Barros (last seen as Candela in 'Sombra') is apparently chewing up the scenery in role written that way- the galan's deranged and psychotic sister (Margarita Sanz was terrifying to look at in the original, so much did she seem to embody her characters lunacy). Anyway, like I said, low ratings here, so I don't know if that will reflect when (or 'if') you guys get it up there, but there's some information for you about that one.

Finally (Televisa / Univision wise, anyway), off in the distance, are the rumblings about a remake of 'Lazos de amor'. Angelli Nesma Medina IS at the helm, and Angelique Boyer is going to be the one giving life (one hopes) to the triplets. One would assume that Sebastian Rulli would be the galan (considering his real-life romance and involvement with Boyer) but this is not confirmed. Most recently, Cristian de la Fuente's name is now also being thrown around. Actually, while I hate to indulge in unconfirmed gossip or rumors, as I was doing some final research in preparation of preparing this for you guys, just today some random website posted something declaring that Boyer is playing the triplets, Sebastian Rulli, David Zepeda and Alejandro Nones are going to be the galans, Daniela Castro (!) is going to be playing Boyer's adoptive mother (played by Maty Huitron in the original), and Alexis Ayala is going to be playing the triplets uncle. Same website went on to declare that a casting as gone out looking for children to portray the triplets when they are children, and that this production will probably debut in Mexico in March 2016, after 'Pasion y poder'. So THAT's, apparently, the VERY latest... I guess we'll have to wait and see how accurate it turns out to be! :-)

Meanwhile, over at Telemundo, 'Bajo el mismo cielo' is doing quite well, apparently far exceeding the network's original hopes and expectations for it. Up next for Telemundo (in regards to productions that DON'T involve glamorizing the drug-and-criminal world) is 'Quien es quien?', which is being produced by Joshua Mintz (who's two most recent credits as Producer/Executive Producer were 'Marido en alquiler' and 'La reina del sur'), and Carmen Cecilia Urbaneja (whose done pretty much everything else. It stars Danna Paola as the heroine, Eugenio Siller in a dual role as twins who were separated at birth, Laura Flores in a sweet and sympathetic, motherly role, and Kimberley Dos Ramos ('Irina' in 'Tierra de reyes') in her first role as the main villain of the story.

Of the two 'narco' productions, 'El senor de los cielos 4' is in the production. Most of the usual suspects have returned. The most noteworthy addition would be Ivonne Montero, who is apparently going to be the main villana of the story, somehow. 'Senora Acero 2' will pick up with Sara having been in prison for 5 years. Miguel Varoni will apparently be doing a lot of the directing.

The other two productions in the works are a little more hazy- 'La Querida del Centauro' stars Ludwika Paleta and will be in the 10 pm time slot. The basic premise, apparently is about a woman "capable of breaking the law out of love for her daugher. Even risking her own life, she serves as bait to capture one of the most dangerous drug traffickers (what IS it with the DRUGS already, Telemundo????) in Mexico.

The last one is called 'La Indomable', and is primarily a vehicle for Lucero. It's about a woman who struggles "to overcome many injustices as she tries to rebuild her family after finding love again". (No word yet as to how drugs and drug trafficking will factor into the story). Stories and reports that William Levy is in the works to star as the galan- while quite prevalent on many news sites and reports (of varying calibre) are still unconfirmed, and remain just rumors.

I THINK that's about everything or, at least, everything that I can think of! I hope that this information has been in whatever way useful or of interest to all you wonderful and colorful people here in the community of CarayCaray, and I look forward to whatever thoughts or feedback that you may have on all of this!

With my continued best wishes to all! :-)

Could you email me the link for "Amor en Silencio", If you have it.

Any luck you might have found "Yo Compro Esa Mujer: lots of people have been hunting for it.

Encaje Rojo, do you mean a special like the ones Cristina used to do?

Stevey, thank you for this proximas update! That's quite a lot of work you put in and I appreciate it. I'll be sure to include this info in the summary list, but we'll also be doing a re-print of all your details so anyone who missed it this week gets a chance to see it again next week. Gracias!

Diva, I mean a special like a alternative story that could have been or what-if-this-happened type deal.

Los Secretos de La Sombra del Pasado is the title. I enjoy the alternative style intro but the special sort of comes off as the entire novela told in one episode.

http://www.telenovelasdk.com/2015/05/la-sombra-del-pasado-capitulo-136-fin.html to the right of opcion 4, especial 5 (this website works best on mobile and beware of pop-ups.)

-Encaje Rojo

Los Secretos de... and ...Lo Que Pudo Haber Sido need to be on Hulu and/or UVideos.
