Project Gimme Back My Feeds continues! This weekend, we updated the feeds for:

I'll continue working my way back through the archives in reverse chronological order and adding a few more of the new feeds each week...but I'm happy to take suggestions for anything that you'd like to see updated sooner.
Contact me if you have any technical issues with the blog...broken links, something on the sidebar or the pages in mobile not working, etc.
Your turn! Got any community news? Recommendations for shows, movies, music, or books that may appeal to your fellow telenovela fans? Proximas news? Let's hear it! (Remember to keep it spoiler-free and gossip-free.)
I'm going to check if the other film is around here and maybe I'll see it this week. I'm a member of the Museum of the Moving Image and I'll be seeing every movie in their upcoming Film Noir series. As if I'd ever miss that!
Urban, the Film Noir series sounds like a blast!
OK, I'm here to speak on behalf of Amor de Barrio (which recently ended in Mexico.)
If it comes after La Vecina in the US, I recommend it be recapped because of the reasons below.
-Fernanda Sasse (she'll be there when you least expect it)
-Marisol del Olmo as a villana
-The length (although it is odd because it shared a thirty minute time slot in June with MIVAC for 2 weeks.)
-Renata Notni
-It's grounded and down-to-earth.
and many reasons more...
I recommend this to all Caray Contributors but if I have to get specific about it, Vivi, Sara, Julia, Lila, tofie and UA (she'd have a field day with a Karmageddeon Awaits on AdB post.)
-Encaje Rojo
Encaje Rojo, we'll have to keep an eye out for AdB. La Vecina has been SO much better than a lot of what Uni is putting on in the evenings, but it was exiled to the afternoon time slot. If AdB follows it, it will likely suffer the same fate, but if it's anywhere near as good, at the very least the current Vecina fans will probably be watching.
I've got some more news here on 'the upcoming'... I recognize that this is coming at the very END of this weeks thread, but am confident that it will reach the eyes of our wonderful Diva who provides us with these weekly pages, so she can update accordingly. AND... while I'm at it, can I give a HUGE shout-out to that same Diva/Kat? Thanks for all that you do for us, not the least of which being these weekly "¿Qué nos cuenta?" forums about what's upcoming. You do us a huge service, as do all the people that help contribute to this wonderful, colorful site... and I am happy to do or contribute whatever I can to honor that which you give us. You ROCK, Diva!! :-)
That being said, alas... I've got more news about the latest project from that bane to all of our existences, Nathalie Lartilleux (which, for those new to these pages, will be called "Un camino hacia el destino", a remake of a telenovela that aired on Azteca in 2003, called "La hija del jardinero".
Anyways, casting is going on in earnest. The latest confirmations that I have for you all are as follows:
Paulina Goto- Luisa Fernanda (protagonista)
Horacio Pancheri- tentatively named 'Carlos' (galan)
Harry Geithner (villain)
Ana Patricia Rojo (villana)
Manuel Landeta (another villain)
Rene Strickler (father of the galan)
Eugenia Cauduro (mother of the galan)
Filming for this one will commence by the end of November, with airing to follow 'La Vecina'. WE HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
(... and may God have mercy on all of our souls!!! (lol))
In other news...
casting for MaPat's latest, 'Corazon que miente' has been completed. In addition to that which we already know about on here (protagonists- Thelma Madrigal, Pablo Lyle, and Diego Olivera. Antagonists- Alejandro Tommasi, Lourdes Reyes. Supporting cast- Mayrin Villanueva, Helena Rojo, Alejandro Avila, Maria Sorte, Mariana von Rankin, Vanessa Restrepo), we can also add Jessica Mas and Alejandra Procuna in roles yet to be determined.
Also... casting for Juan Osorio / Silvia Navarro's latest, 'Sueno de amor' is moving right along. The latest? Julian Gil has confirmed to join the cast in the role of (no! yes! GASP!) the villain!! Not much (as yet) to share with you about this one, only that it's been confirmed to air (and, reminder here- this is down MEXICO way...) after 'Antes muerta que Lichita'.
'Simplemente Maria' recently had its 'gran estreno', once 'Amor de barrio' ended. I notice that, in this thread, Encaje Rojo spoke up about the merits of the aforementioned 'Amor de barrio', and I'd like to add my own voice to that particular argument. 'Amor de barrio' debuted to disappointing rating that (as it turns out) were not in any way a testimonial to the quality of the novela, as ALL Televisa novelas are now suffering a drop of AT LEAST 5-6 points in ratings. But, regardless of this, all critics have attested to this being a quality novela, one that warrants better ratings. In addition to that which Encaje Rojo mentioned, when it comes to things that 'Amor de barrio' has going for it, I can add Jessica Coch (who reminded everyone of her talents in her most recent role of the doomed Tania in 'Muchacha italiana viene a casarse) in a DUAL role as mentally ill antagonista, a supporting cast that includes the likes of veteran actors such as Manuel Landeta, Julieta Rosen, Juan Carlos Barreto, and Lisardo, as well as the fact that Marisol de Olmo does a kick-ass job in her role of evil matriarch Catalina Lopezreina, a role made for the likes of Diana Bracho, Daniela Romo, or Rocio Banquells.
That being said, 'AmordeB' has ended and 'Simplemente Maria' has taken its place down here. SM has debuted to woeful ratings compared to telenovelas-past, but those that are perfectly keeping in order with things if we adjust ourselves to this new reality (FYI- top ratings for a novela in this timeslow used to be around 18-19. NOW, they're 13-14. And, in case you're wondering, it's like this across the board. PRIME-TIME ratings used to be 25-26 (or better)... NOW, a novela is lucky if it can hit 20 (such as 'A que no me dejas', followed by 'Antes muerta que Lichita' and 'Pasion y Poder', who it seems lately can only HOPE to reach 20 points in ratings...)
Anyways, it remains to be seen how 'Simplemente Maria' will fare. ONE thing is for sure... as soon as I know, or if there is ANYTHING of interest that I have to share, you can bet that I will! :-)
And my continued best wishes to all!! :-)
