Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 23 – Part 1

Conchita tries to convince Lupe they need to prevent Mari’s marriage. It’s revealed Lupe had a short less than 1 year marriage after Augi left her for Victoriana and she was miserable because she couldn’t stop loving Augi – Lupe somehow still thinks that’s different than Mari’s situation??? And she still thinks Isaia is the best man for Mariluz!! Maybe she starting smoking whatever it is Villalba is on.

Speaking of Villalba he came and said a bunch of stuff to Lupe. Stuff about finding a house, and a comment about her being in a relationship with Augi which she said wasn’t happening. I didn’t listen to it all but he did let her know that it was Victoriana that bought the house!! Later Lupe is upset in her room wondering why she has to suffer so much for an accusation (that she’s after Augi) that isn’t true!! Victoriana got to keep Augusto, why can’t she just leave her in peace?

Fede has some plan to make the livestock of the landowners unsellable. I didn’t fully understand this as my Spanish vocab isn’t full of farm terms but I think they were going to someone infect the animals so they wouldn’t pass that inspections needed to be able to sell them. After they can’t sell their animals they won’t have the money to make their payments to Augi and thus he’ll get their lands. Fede also gives Augi info about Villalba, he learned he’s an important business man who won’t be easy to mess with, Augi isn’t discouraged.

Iker is hiding and Domi’s trail is coming up so Augi goes to find and confront him and we learn the laundered money was Augi’s! Iker worked for Augi and was wrapped up in all his shady dealings. Augi gives him two options: tell the truth and take the full blame for the money getting Domi off the hook or die! Iker agrees to take the blame but Augi has Fede and his thugs beat him anyway.

Domi and Sam have another secret reading lesson, they meet in her bedroom? Which doesn’t seem very smart but is of course novela fodder. Damian sneaks in the window of course and just as Iker too, is calling Domi. Damian sees the phone and asks if Domi is forming a harem! There’s a big fight between Damian and Samuel as Damian accuses Sam of trying to make a move on Domi. When the fight gets physical Domi throws them both out of her room and says she doesn’t want to see Damian again.

Emma goes drinking with bad influence Renata to forget about Adrian. Emma drinks way too much and shady Rod records her out of her wits telling all his followers that he and Emma slept together and it was wonderful. Stupid Belen sends the video to Adrian proving that she truly doesn’t care about him at all.

Mari can’t even manage to be nice to Isaia let alone give him a goodnight kiss. Jesus comes to try warn Mari to stay away from Isaia but of course he doesn’t get very far because he looks like a hypocrite of course. Mari tells Jesus that Isaia let everything for her because HE truly loves her!! Oh jeez, she’s adopting mommy’s faulty logic and she shares it with Conchita too.

Emma comes home drunk and is caught by mom. She then says too much and admits Adrian is her boyfriend she loves him and hates Belen. Vicky took that as well as you’d expect.

Adrian is heartbroken and thinks Emma is a liar like all the Montalvo’s. I don’t really feel bad for him though, they are both at fault for bad communication but how could he tell Belen (an ex he KNOWS is jealous) intimate details of his would-be first time with Emma?? Unless Belen lied of course…

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 23 – Part 2

Sam and Damian continue to fight and Jesus tries to intervene. It was cute/sad the way Sam was just like ‘Damian started it’ ‘Damian climbed through the window’ Jesus tells them they need to stop or ruin the plan! Sam is to stay away from Domi as Jesus told him and Damian is to stay away from the window! What would happen if Augi caught you sneaking in the window?? Think!!! Jesus tells them they are brothers and cannot be fighting, he orders them to resolve this once and for all! He forbids them to continue fighting. They don’t resolve it though and are fighting and the next morning when Damian makes one too many antagonistic comments to Samuel, Sam goes to punch him. Damian ducks though and Valero is hit! Both Sam and Damian immediately go to help Valero saying they are sorry.

Later there’s a heartbreaking scene of Samuel venting to Pinto. Why can’t he have anything that belongs to him. Tata is going to take Pinto and Damian is going to be with Domi. Why can’t Samuel have anything?

Jesus talks to Damian again about the importance of family and asks if he will please resolve things with Sam. Damian says he’ll try. Jesus next asks how Damian truly feels about Domi and asks his brother to please tell him the truth. Damian says he can’t help it, he’s never felt this way before. Jesus tries to say that he has successfully denied his own feelings but Damian laughs and says he’s after Mariluz every other minute and Jesus admits it’s true. You can’t control what the heart wants, Damian says so you understand how I feel. Domi is the daughter of our worse enemy though, don’t forget that; Jesus warns Damian (if only he knew his precious Mariluz is Augi’s daughter too!)

Mari doesn’t know Isaia has kids and thinks it’s okay if he leaves his wife before they have kids it would be a different story if he left his family like her dad did! Conchita lets it slip that it was Lupe’s choice to leave but I think she was referring to her leaving her husband and leaving her father Augi. Conchita tells Mari that her father never knew Lupe was pregnant and that whatever flaws her father had, he would never have abandoned his own child! This gives Mari new hope that maybe her dad isn’t so bad after all. The next day, she finds mommy’s marriage certificate and the name of her supposed father and goes to none other than Augusto Montalvo for help in tracking him down since he used to work at his finca! This doesn’t bode well for the health of the ex-Mr. Lupe! But Augi agrees to help Mari, saying anything for her! She gives Augi a big hug which he is very affected by – the call of the blood?

 

Guerrero. Great abbreviated recap, Darcy! I hope we don't have to put up with either Isaia or Tata for very much longer. Tata's continued abuse of Sam is particularly maddening!
 

I'm disliking Damian more and more. I think I just don't trust him at all. The way he went on about that whole 'stay away from her' business in the morning pissed me off.Maybe I actually don't like that actor either. His voice irritates me. Even Selina won't convince me she could make Sam happy, especially after that scene of 'why can't Samuel have anything nice.' I bet in some way Damian does thinkDomenica wouldn't be interested in Samuel, but I'm only speculating. He makes me think of Rhett Butler for some reason, but Rhett was way more charming. They both have this 'no woman can resist me' vibe.
So Augusto is going to ruin new Lupe's man's life. And this is supposed to be love? What did she see in him? He wants her to have no one to help but him. His comment to Victoriana that 'I have a reunion because I do work and you can take care of our daughter because you're the mother' was stupid and disgusting too. The guy doesn't respect anyone. Though he and his lady do deserve each other so at least he chose a wife who is just as unsufferable. Though I did expect better from him and not 'I have a reunion, you stupid woman.' comment.

SpanPro - I am right there with you in hoping they both go away soon but something tells me bad penny Isaia is going to stick around as long as he possibly can. Hopefully we can get rid of Tata who is absolutely horrendous as you say. Although well acted.

Waterlily - I think what we are seeing from Damian is irrational jealousy. He wants to play the cool and detached Don Juan but he's fallen for Domi and he's just plain scared of what he feels and I do think there's a genuine concern for Sam getting hurt buried somewhere in all those confused feelings but I agree he did look like a jerk in this episode. I've actually never seen this actor play anything but a bad role but I don't think he'll go rouge here. I think he's a good guy who maybe just hasn't learned yet to let go of the chip on his shoulder and trust those he loves. It will be interesting to see how much he does or doesn't grow as a character throughout the show.

As for Selena, I hope she can make Sam happy but it's too soon to tell.

Well it's been a challenging day and I am just now sitting down to watch today's episode so I will try to have a mini-cap up later tonight or sometime tomorrow.
 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 24 – Part 1

Everyone arrives at some event, The fiesta Patronal? And Vicky tries to find a way to show Lupe by suggesting she provide some fancy food even though Lupe always provides the food for the event. But the whole crowd, including Domi back up Lupe and Victoriana is thwarted.

Jesus has the perfect opportunity to see with Mari without the watchful eye of Carlota since she’s at the Patronal Fiesta but he doesn’t take it because he’s disgusted by the fact that she is dating Isaia again. He slams the garage door shut instead and gets a call from the client who had previously paid Sam – who gave the money to Tata. Jesus asks about the payment and covers when he hears Sam got the money by simply stating that he hadn’t talked to his brother yet so he didn’t know. Jesus asks Damian and Valero and no one had any idea the guy had paid Sam, he hadn’t said anything. Damian suspects the truth I think because he tells Jesus there’s something he should know.

LOL Conchita is taking her coffee with booze today, this ought to be fun! Let the party begin! She starts ranting about Vicky right away.

Sam is saying a goodbye to Pinto and telling him he doesn’t want to let him go but he has no choice. Jesus and Damian arrive and Jesus asks why Sam didn’t tell him that Batista was threatening him. They are brothers and he’s here to support him in everything! He should have told him! When are you meeting him, Jesus asks. Sam admits they are meeting that morning and he tries to hold back tears as he tells his brother that Batista now wants his horse!

Oh, apparently this isn’t the party, just a planning session. The party is next weekend. The leader of the get together is trying to have a dignified meeting when drunk Conchita comes and starts insulting Vicky. Most are openly amused, like Carlota, but some are trying not to be amused like that chick that was singing Vicky’s praises before the interruption. In the end Lupe kind of rescues the awkward situation by saying mom is just too excited because Mariluz is getting married! She invites everyone over to celebrate the engagement that very evening.

Jesus and Damian go with Sam to meet Tata and Jesus lays down the law – you get no money and no horse and you’ll leave Sam in peace or we’ll go to the authorities and report you! Samuel is not alone, Damian assures. Tata tries to protest but Jesus sticks to his guns and Tata backs down. Sam looks a little sad watching Tata walk away.
Conchita rails next against the supposed upcoming wedding and Lupe and Mica realize she’s drunk.

Carlota comes to mock Vicky with the news that Emma lost her virginity!!! She shows her Rodrigo’s video. She jokes about needing two weddings and chuckles with glee! Victoriana seems oddly upset given she doesn’t really seem to care about Emma most of the time but she’s full-on crying at this news! (not only is Vicky the most uncaring mamma ever, she also seems to be something of a sex addict, I’m surprised she’s so upset by the idea that Emma lost her virginity)

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 24 – Part 2

Emma too is seeing the video for the first time and stupid Renata is actually thrilled about this video!?? Renata does come down to earth though, I hope your parents don’t follow anyone from school, what if they see it? Emma immediately thinks of Adrian and tries to call him – he is practicing dance with his friend and doesn’t answer.

Tata isn’t smart enough to give up and is now stalking the Montalvo house. Damian and Sam have a talk and Sam apologizes for lying to Damian. They agree that they don’t want to keep fighting, they are family. Damian says they have to start telling each other the truth even if it’s hard to hear. They admit that they are both in love with Domi and the only thing they can do is allow Domi to chose who she wants and respect her decision.

Emma goes to try to get Mica’s help to sneak out and talk to Adrian but Vicky overhears and interrupts! No way, she says! You are going nowhere near those mechanics!!! You are going to marry Rodrigo!! Emma is like what? No way! But Vicky tells her she’s seen the video all over social media. Emma tries to say the vid is a lie but Vicky refuses to listen to a word out of Emma’s mouth and spits venom as she tells Emma she WILL stay away from that Orphan and she WILL obey, otherwise Vicky is showing daddy the video!!! If Emma is going to have sex, she’s going to get married!!! (What year is this?? LOL Even if Emma did have sex, which she didn’t; who would order their 17–18-year-old daughter to get married??? Vicky is sniffing her beauty products or something else, I think)


Augi and Domi had a confrontation about Iker’s ‘lie’ and he demands to know why Domi didn’t tell him right away what happened. Domi says enough for Augi to realize that although Domi knows that Iker is now blaming the owner of the money, she doesn’t know that said owner is Augi! Since Domi still doesn’t know the truth, Augi drops the interrogation and tells her it’s going to be okay.

Sam warns Jesus that Bautista isn’t going to give up easily and Jesus tries to say he’s ambitious but not stupid; but Bautista’s both as Damian confirms when he comes to tell them that Bautista is at the Montalvo house. Tata (it’s easier to type) isn’t giving up easy, he’ll show them! He goes to the gate and asks to see Augi. The watching Guerreros don’t think Tata won’t be admitted but he is. Mica tells Tata that she doesn’t think Augi can see him because he’s busy but he tells her to tell him that he’s there to talk about the sons of Octavio Sanchez. Mica goes to do just that, but Augi is busy with Fede and Domi comes out and sees Tata standing there. She recognizes him of course, and tells Mica that that man can’t be allowed to see her dad. Thinking better, she goes and gets a gun out of a side table and goes to confront Tata!!! Tata tries his bluster but Domi isn’t having it and she tells him to get out before she calls the cops, he leaves running! LOL

The Guerreros are just watching from across the street and do nothing but watch. Jesus still thinks he’s gone now but Sam says he knows Tata, he’ll be back. D. Abel says if Sam knows Tata well, they should heed his words. Jesus tells Valero to talk to Mica and get the gossip, which he does over the phone and all the guys hear how Domi confronted Tata at gun point and made him leave. Domi orders Mica not to tell Augi what happened and she doesn’t tell him about the gun but she does tell him that before the guy suddenly left, he said he was there to talk about some plan by some dudes, the sons of Octavio Sanchez?? (NO Mica NO!!) Augi immediately goes to check the video cameras to see who the dude is and D. Abel warns the guys that Augi will meet up with Tata it’s a matter of time!

 

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 24 – Part 3

Mari isn’t happy to hear she’s having an engagement party and Jesus isn’t happy to hear Valero is attending it! LoL Lupe tells Mari to put on a happy face and go greet her guests. Mari goes but doesn’t look happy and Isaia proposes again in front of everyone! Mari reluctantly accepts as Jesus is across town begging her not to! Villalba gives some odd toast I didn’t understand and Carlota shows up with roses, shocking everyone!

Vicky goes to have her own fun with Fede, who finds her dressed in nothing but his shirt when he arrives home. She doesn’t just want sex though she wants information!!! She wants to know what Mariluz came to see Augi about and when she hears that she came to ask Augi to help her find her father, she is livid! Fede gives the whole story about the guy Lupe briefly married, but Vicky guesses the truth right away. She knows exactly who Mari’s father is and she can’t wait til the day she sees the Garcias thrown out into the street.

Carlota puts on a whole show about being so happy for Mariluz. She offers to be her maid of honor, to help her plan, the total package. Mari thanks her, sort of, and tells her she won’t be invited. Carlota even calls Jesus from the Garcia house and gives him all the deets; she says she only came because she thought he would be there, why isn’t he? A crying Jesus claims he’s busy and a vindictive Carlota holds out the phone to let Jesus hear the toast to the newly engaged couple! Jesus hangs up as quickly as he can and goes back to crying.

Carlota starts the Beso chat and after a moment Mari does kiss Isaia passionately, because she’s picturing Jesus! Carlota films the kiss and sends it to Jesus because she’s a heartless witch! Everyone at the party looks happy, except Conchita who is pouting! Mica doesn’t think Mari is convinced to marry Isaia and Lupe admits she had her doubts but that kiss! That look of love she gave Isaia a moment ago, that convinced her!! LOL

Jesus is now at a bar crying into his tequila. I don’t feel bad for him, I really don’t. He could have told the truth!! Or I don’t know, dropped the stupid seduction for revenge plan and followed his heart. He did neither and here we are. I would feel sorry for Mari but if she’s stupid enough to get married out of spite she doesn’t deserve much sympathy either.

 

Guerrero. Right on, Darcy, about Jesus and Mariluz! Also, I was glad to see Tata's previous evil actions against Domi come home to roost. I hope Rodrigo gets his for his lies about Emma. Couldn't there be some legal recourse against him, since he basically slandered her publicly online? Too bad Emma doesn't have an older brother (or a more attentive Adrian) to beat some decency into him.

SpanProf, as sad as it is to say I doubt they could take any legal recourse against Rodrigo because they would have to prove it's slander which means they would have to prove that it didn't happen which would be hard to do. It would be a her word against his situation, I doubt it would be successful.

Rod is a waste of space and a total stereotype, his arrogance knows no limits. Augi should see the vid, that would take care of him!

Vicky must have hit her head on something because this was absurd. I found it weird that she was so upset by this, given her own activities.
Why didn't Damian suggest they should turn tata in when he heard about the blackmail? They left this guy alone even though he abused Samuel. Most of you most probably know where this is going, but I'm curious what will happen now that tata decided he can have Augusto as his personal bank account. I loved Domi and her gun at least.
Mari Luz is just stupid, but as Jesus is no better, I think they deserve each other.
Carlota's behaviour surprised me, though. I would have liked it far more if she had been someone who is messed-up but capable of love. But she takes pleasure in torturing even Jesus. Maybe she wants to make sure he won't look for M after seeing her supposed attraction to that other prick. I suspect I wouldn't be enjoying this all that much if it weren't for the actress playing Carlota. And I'm expecting a scene where she sets herself on fire somehow.
