Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 36 – Part 1 of 5

Lupe is trying to call Mari and is leaving messages but Mari isn’t answering. Celestino is just relaxing in front of the TV asking when is dinner? LOL Lupe tells him to cook his own dinner if he’s hungry and not tell Conchita about Mari being missing because she doesn’t want to worry her. Isaia calls and Lupe tells him to go to hell and never set a foot in her house again. She yells at Celestino again.

Drunk Emma calls Renata and tells her she didn’t get an invite to the party but she’s sure it’s a mistake. Don’t worry though she’s on her way. Drunk, distracted and driving, Emma doesn’t notice an old woman crossing the street or the cop car headed her way until she has to swerve to miss both. She ends up on the curb.

Damian, Sam and Mari wait anxiously for news on Jesus. They expel their frustrations but Mari tries to stay positive saying over and over again that Jesus will be okay. He’s a Guerrero after all. The doctor comes and tells them that Jesus is still very critical, he’s lost a lot of blood and they have to do a scan to look for other injuries as well as the bullet to make sure it isn’t in a dangerous place. The doctor says they are going to need blood donors and Sam and Mari immediately volunteer, Damian didn’t for some reason. Damian just wants to see Jesus but the doctor says no, they have to wait until he is more stable.

Emma runs out of the car and tries to attend to the woman who fell in the street – though I don’t think she was hit probably just shocked. Emma wants to make sure the lady is okay but the cops want to arrest her for driving under the influence! The cops win of course, and we see the lady get up just fine as another officer helps her out of the road.

The doctor says they are doing everything to save Jesus. Damian is scared that the worse is going to happen but Mari assures him again and again that Jesus is going to live. Her optimism spreads to Sam and he too tries to lift Damian’s spirits by saying Jesus is going to be okay. Mari is going to the chapel to pray for Jesus but Damian’s reaction is just a skeptical ‘God?’. Mari leaves and Sam suggests they too go to pray but Damian says he’d rather go see Jesus. Sam is torn but follows Damian.

Fede tells Augi the declaration is taken care of and he told him exactly what they agreed upon. They won’t be asked anymore questions. Augi says good work and then his phone rings, it’s Carlota but Augi tells Fede she isn’t to know about this. She just came back from treatment and something like this could really upset her. Augi answers the phone and Carlota wants to know when he and Jesus are coming home because she wants to see her boyfriend tonight, but Augi says they will be very late and she better forget about it. She can see Jesus tomorrow. Carlota tells the photo of Jesus that he WILL be with her! She has it all planned out.
Damian and Sam borrow Adrian’s dress like a nurse trick and get in to see Jesus. Sam tries to speak loving and cheerful words to Damian starts in on how Augi should be the one in that bed and not Jesus! Sam tells him not to talk like that, because Jesus can hear them, he knows it and they have to tell him positive things! (Sam has such a look of childlike innocence and delight as he says this it’s so heartbreaking) Damian says Sam is absolutely right and they both start telling Jesus how much they need him and how he united them. They are going to get justice for dad and find mom.

At the same time, Mari is praying and we get multiple flashbacks going from Mari to the guys of different moments they’ve all experienced together since the beginning of the show.

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 36 – Part 2 of 5

Adrian and Valero too are worried because none of the Guerreros are answering their phones. Emma calls Adrian but he doesn’t answer. He tells Valero he doesn’t know if he can keep seeing Emma, how can he go out with the daughter of the people who made his mom suffer? Valero tells him he is disappointed in him. He was just starting to believe in love again and Adrian does this? What fault does Emma have in what her parents did? This gives Adrian something to think about. He listens to Emma’s voicemail but it only says she’s going to a party and she loves him.

Emma is worried that she hurt that lady but the officers assure her she didn’t. She is however in trouble for her other traffic crimes and is going to the police station. The cops offer her one call and before we can see who she calls we see Mica is bringing Em some quesadillas (and I’m mad at her cuz I’m hungry and that sounds yummy) but she finds the room empty and the vodka bottle on the bed and the sheets out the window. She thinks she’s at the shop and heads there.

Domi calls Valero because she can’t get ahold of Damian and Valero tells her that all the Guerreros are MIA, they haven’t been heard from and haven’t been answering their phones since they left for a meeting with her Dad. Domi is surprised but thanks Valero and hangs up. Carlota has overheard and is now taunting Domi a little about choosing Damian over Iker. She says at least you didn’t chose the stupid one and Domi says Sam isn’t stupid, he’s just uneducated but he’s very intelligent and he learns very quickly. Carlota says she’s glad Domi is with a Guerrero, imagine it; two sisters and two brothers! But I’m getting married first, she informs her sister, because Jesus and I are very much in love! Domi says nothing but looks at Carlota with a ‘keep telling yourself that’ smile.

Mica arrives on a mission and she’s going to get Emma no matter what, she better not hide! Adrian and Valero tell her Emma isn’t there, she went out with some friends. They are just there waiting for the Guerreros because no one has heard from them since they left with her boss. Mica swears Emma is going to hear from her when she gets home! Adrian leaves the shop too but doesn’t say where he’s going just that he has something important to do and he’s not going to see Emma. Left alone, Mica and Valero have the weirdest first kiss ever, which is just a peck but it was kind of cute.

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 36 – Part 3 of 5

Emma tries several calls but no one answers her. She finally has the misfortune of getting mommy dearest but she refuses to lift a single finger to help Em after she hears she was drinking and driving. She isn’t even going to tell Augi. Emma is going to have to accept the consequences of her actions! Maybe a night in jail will do her good and she’ll learn something! She hangs up.

Vicky is being super nice to Carlota which I find very suspicious, she enters humming the wedding march and gives Carlota the surprise of her mother’s wedding dress to wear on the day of her supposedly coming wedding. Carlota was so funny as she was afraid to open the box and Vicky told her it wasn’t a bomb and it wasn’t going to explode. Carlota flicks the lid open while standing as far away from it as she can.

Domi calls daddy and he tells her the truth about what happened but says he doesn’t want Carlota and Victoriana to know. Domi probably wouldn’t have told either but Carlota happened to be entering her room in her wedding dress right as Domi said ‘What happened to Jesus and what hospital is he in?’

Turns out Adrian went to Lupe’s house to ask about Emilia. Lupe tells Adrian what she knows about Emilia but it’s not much more than Adrian already knew. Lupe wonders why Adrian is asking, what kind of relationship did he have with Emilia? But before he can answer, he gets a call from Emma.

Emma begs for one more phone call. She’s diabetic but doesn’t have her insulin, she needs to call someone to bring it. She calls Adrian and this time he answers thankfully, he springs into action to help Emma and surprisingly Lupe is eager to help. (I swear this is the first time I’ve ever liked Lupe) she goes to get money from her stash of recent sales and says they will buy Emma insulin and they will go together to get it to her. Unfortunately, Celestino saw exactly where the money stash was hidden and helps himself!

Emma gets booked and escorted into a cell with half a dozen or so very street wise looking girls who seem eager to mess with the poor little rich girl.

Car-not-the-slighest-bit-less-loca shows up at the hospital IN HER WEDDING DRESS!! She strolls the halls determined to see Jesus now!!! Domi can’t talk her out of it and it takes daddy several tries but he finally gets her to come to the waiting room.

Sam and Mari are donating blood and Mari takes over voiceover duties since Jesus is unavailable to narrate today. She talks about how she wishes she could help Jesus in his mission but she doesn’t know how. Jesus is a wonderful man, the man she loves and the only owner of her heart for the rest of her life.

Adrian and Lupe try to turn in the insulin but for some reason the cop doesn’t care that Emma has diabetes and her life could be in danger, they have to wait til morning. Adrian tries to insist but Lupe realizes they are not going to get anywhere so she pulls Adrian away. Two probably drunk, definitely fighting women are brought in and Lupe gets an idea! She tells Adrian to give her the insulin and she comes up to the counter with the women playing drunk and keeping her head down. She is led into the holding cells with the other women (did I mention I actually like Lupe today?)

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 36 – Part 4 of 5

Mari and Sam bond and Mari lets him know that she knows they are looking for their mom. Sam says Jesus must trust her a lot to tell her that, Mari says she loves him with all her heart. Sam says Mari needs to find a way to see Jesus. Jesus loves her a lot and hearing her voice could do a lot of good! Maybe he’ll wake up! The doctor says no but find a way to do it. (I don’t know if it’s just my video quality or what but Sam’s hair is looking awfully grey to me today, time for more hair dye!)

The mean girls approach Emma and start taunting about how daddy can’t save her now. They are going to teach her a lesson, but Lupe arrives before they can do any harm and scares off the young girls with her own toughness and even tells them she’s armed! LOL Emma hugs Lupe gratefully and assures her she’s not hurt.

Augi tells Carloca no one can see Jesus yet; the doctors are still running tests. That’s why he’s still there waiting to find out where things stand. Carloca wants to know why daddy lied to her and he says he just didn’t want to tell her until they knew more, he wanted her to remain calm. She needs to be calm! Carloca needs information NOW! You see, she’s going to marry Jesus, she wants to marry Jesus and for that she needs to know what’s going on!! (Maybe someone should’ve pointed out to her that it’s bad luck for the groom to see the bride in the wedding dress before the wedding?) Carloca sits for the moment and Domi says she’s going for coffee, anyone want some? No’s all around.

Damian stands alone in the hallway remembering Jesus had doubts about the meeting that night. He’s barely holding it together and blaming Augi. Domi arrives and tells him she can’t imagine how he’s feeling. She hugs him tight and Damian thinks he should hate her but he can’t. They hug again and Sam comes down the hall with Mariluz but doesn’t say anything he just looks kind of sadly on and then directs Mari further down the hall.

Vicky is bored and upset that everyone is gone and no one told her anything so of course she calls Fede who spills all the beans even though Augi had previously said he didn’t want Vicky to know what was going on. Taking advantage of the fact that everyone is distracted, Carloca, the bride edition, takes off down the hall again looking for her own answers.

Ironically, the doctor walks into the room right after Carloca leaves, he speaks mostly to Augi which is a little weird. So, I don’t speak doctor in English or in Spanish but the gist I was able to get is that the bullet is in a dangerous place and they have to do surgery immediately stop a hemorrhage and to remove the bullet. It’s a very risky surgery and the doctor can’t guarantee that Jesus will live. Augi tells the doctor to do whatever he can and everything necessary to save Jesus’s life. Sam and Damian have to sign some forms to authorize the surgery.

Corazon Guerrero – Capitulo 36 – Part 5 of 5

Domi approaches Mari and says maybe she should go home and rest but Mari says she can’t go until she knows Jesus is okay. What she needs to do is call her mom but she doesn’t have her cell, will Domi lend Mari her’s? Domi says of course and they go to get it. Damian is staring after them and it looks like Sam is the one signing which is odd because a) he’s the youngest and b) his writing hasn’t quite reached signing capabilities – I bet that form looks special!

Emma is shaking so badly she can’t inject herself so Lupe helps her and gives her the shot. Lupe can’t believe Emma’s parents aren’t there yet and she’s sure someone will tell them soon. Em corrects her and lets her know that mommy knows where she is but she wants her to learn her lesson. Lupe is shocked. Emma feels so bad. She’s always doing the wrong thing; she feels like the worst daughter in the world!

Adrain calls Domi and tells her what’s up with Emma. Domi is confused because Adrian had told her Emma was at a party but Adrian must have cleared that misunderstanding up because Domi walks into the waiting room and tells Augi that Emma has been arrested. (I’m honestly shocked that Augi is still just sitting in the waiting room, his attention span is usually far shorter than this) but now he leaves, to go tend to the daughter in jail situation.

Lupe tells Emma not to think that way. Domi told her a lot about her and she’s sure she’s a wonderful girl. Lupe tells her that sometimes when we are young, we make a mountain of mistakes but that doesn’t make us bad people! And sometimes when parents are angry they say and do things that seem harsh but she’s sure that Vicky loves Emma, and that she loves her a whole lot! (I wouldn’t take that bet) Em says that’s the only thing she wants, for her parents to love her. She hugs Lupe again.

Carloca tells Jesus he has to get better because SHE has plans for them!! LOL She goes on and on about how much she loves him and how she got cured for him so now he has to get well for her. Yada yada yada. Jesus is dreaming of Mariluz and even says ‘Mariluz’ this time to which Carloca bites off, I’m not Mariluz, I’m Carlota, your girlfriend. Speaking of Mari, she enters and Carloca is tickled pink! Just kidding, she’s ticked. She wants Mari out of the room, away from Jesus, and probably out of the country. Mari tells Carloca to calm down she only wants to see that Jesus is okay but Carloca shouldn’t be selfish she’s not the only person who cares about Jesus. Carloca says Mari shouldn’t be a boyfriend thief and these two go round and round – well, to be fair, it’s mostly Carloca ranting and Mari listening. Carloca says Mari better back off because she knows what she is capable of! With this statement, Jesus takes a turn and the machines start beating. The women fight each other to draw nearer to Jesus, calling out to him. Mari finally, wisely calls for a doctor.

Augi is outside on the phone, telling whomever that Emma shouldn’t be in the jail because she’s a minor (apparently daddy missed the whole 18th birthday) he is on his way and no one better lay a hand on his daughter!

Back to two women fighting pointlessly when they should be leaving the room to get a doctor! The machine by Jesus’s bed shows question marks and flatlines. The doctors and nurses finally arrive and tell them to get out Mari mostly obeys but Carloca has to be forced and is screaming ‘Don’t touch me’ all the way out! The doctors break out the defibrillator and shock Jesus several times but our episode ends before we get a reaction.

GUERRERO

Thank you, Darcy, it was a fun read. Your recaps are the only thing that keep me watching at this point, as I feel this show is just one cliché after another.

I know we are supposed to feel sorry for Emma because her parents have been neglecting her all her life and she is very young and she needs protection and so on. But there is just something about her that rubs me the wrong way. And can we just go and buy insulin in Mexican pharmacies? In France you can't even get good cold medicine without a prescription.

Carloca is supposed to be the unstable one, but I like her a million times better. Her showing up at the hospital in a freakin' wedding dress was hilarious. I do like the fact that they add all these humorous touches to her character, makes her less of a cliché.

While Jesus is on his "death" bed, will we have to watch Mari pray and cry and pray and beg for God to save him? I'm sorry, but I find her so boring, I just can't help it.
Still loving Dom and Dam, though, they are the highlight of the show for me.

I'll be back later with a brief summary of today's episode.
Since Darcy is taking a few days off to recharge, I'll be doing the rest of this week's recaps. If someone else wants to pitch in, please do!

¡Hola, Patio!

Thanks, Darcy & Adriana. Darcy, enjoy your well-deserved break from the action. Adriana, I will try to post companion notes accordingly.

I didn’t make many notes last night, but the two that stand out were echoed by the recap: for the first time, I’m liking Lupe. And later in the episode, I (like Darcy) was really digging Lupe for a change. Writers, please keep this up.

We are really careening into Corazón Cliche with all the tired tropes and absurd setups. I’m still hanging on for the actors and the Patio.

I think Sam was the star of last night’s show with childlike innocence and positivity played to perfection by Christián de la Campa. I’m behind on Cabo and I don’t think it’s being recapped. I finally saw his character (rocking even more grey). Kind of funny to hear him speak like an adult. No “Samuel soy yo, ‘Mano” dialogue - my favorite.

Car-no-me-toques-loca remains fun to watch while getting harder to like. There does not appear to be much light ahead. We have Jesús flatlining, the wrong-baby-daddy storyline, the deadbeats galore (Celestino, Isaías), the neglected drunk teen puppy love, the Auntie Dearest bizarre love triangle, etc.

At least Damián & Domi seem to be in a good place. I hope the writers switch gears quickly and bring back the fun!!!

Guerrero

Thank you Adriana! I appreciate you so much my friend! Thanks for hanging in there with me. At this point, I'm pretty much watching for Christian De La Campa but I do like Domi and Damian too.

I think you can actually just buy insulin in Mexico, I'm not positive though. I remember when I lived in Southern California there were people who would go to Mexico to get some pharmacy drugs - both because they were easier to get and they were also cheaper. You can't just go buy insulin in the US either.

O.S., I love the character of Sam is this and Christian de la Campa is doing a fantastic job with it! I started watching the Telvisa broadcast of Cabo when in first started broadcasting there, it was before both Guerrero and Camino started broadcasting on Univision. I stopped watching because I just plain don't have time but I was enjoying Christian's character there too. It's interesting to see the drastic age change from character to character in a super short timespan. Guerrero was filmed 2021 and Cabo 2022. Oh well, brown hair or gray hair he looks great in both roles! I might start watching Cabo again when the Uni broadcast gets up to where I left off when I was watching on Televisa, if Camino is over by then....maybe

Time to post Adriana's recap!

Guerrero – Capitulo 37 – Part 1 of 2 - Adriana's recap I'm just posting it!

After finding out that his daughter is in jail, Augusto goes to get Emma out. Emma is happy to see him, apologizes for causing trouble. Augie acts like it’s no big deal, don’t worry about it, honey, everything is fine now. Emma mentions how Lupe kept her safe, by bringing her insulin and protecting her from the other women, so Augie demands Fede to go get Lupe out, too. Adrian is there, but he refuses to leave with Emma and her dad, he’d rather leave with Lupe.

Before parting ways Augie thanks Lupe for what she’s done. He wants to reimburse her for the medicine, but she refuses, good deeds must remain selfless (or whatever), she only urges him to take care of his daughter, because she really needs him.

Augie seems to take this to heart, but only for a second, because he never actually has a talk with his daughter about her ending up in jail. He does talk to Victoriana, blaming her for everything that has happened. At this point I think they both get 50/50 of the blame, there is no winner in this situation, only one big loser, Emma.

While they wait to have news about Jesus, Damian and Carlota start fighting about who is to blame for what happened to him. Damian blames Augusto, which is not lost on Domenica.

The doctor tells everyone that Jesus is still alive, but they need to operate right away. It will be a long procedure, they won’t have any new developments before the morning, so he advices everyone to go home.

Mari and Sam go to the hospital chapel to pray, each in their own way.

Carlota leaves for home and goes on a nutty rant in front of her mirror about Jesus belonging to her and only her.

And Damian promises that if anything were to happen to Jesus, Augusto would pay for it dearly! Domenica doesn’t understand his animosity, since she believes her father was also a victim, is there anything that Damian is not telling her? Or is he just talking nonsense because he’s so worried about his brother?

The next day Augusto finds out that Domenica has to go to court to testify (or something) and orders Fede to find Iker and make him confess, solve Domenica’s problem once and for all. Fede send a message to Iker, who calls Domenica, who barely gives him the time of day, because she is in a hurry to get back to the hospital. Then Iker calls Carlota, first pretending to be all about her, but then asking about her sister. Carlota might be able to help, since she has an idea about where Domenica might have gone.

Conchita and Lupe arrive with food at the hospital, but nobody has any appetite for now. When the doctor arrives with news that Jesus made it out of the operation OK and now they have to wait and see how he recovers, they are all very happy about it.

When the doc mentions that only one person can go to see him, Mari is the one getting the honor. She gets all whippy, kisses his forehead, tells him that she loves him and that she will wait for him… Jesus opens his eyes and asks her for something from his clothes, but I didn’t get what it was.

Later Mari runs into Carlota again and they start fighting AGAIN. They have to be separated by hospital staff and Mariluz seems to be winning her argument against Carlota, basically telling her that she is delusional about Jesus. But then Carlota uses the best trick up her sleeve, by showing Mari a photo of her and Jesus in bed together and adding that they are lovers, so there!

Mariluz is crushed, how can this happen? She reminisces about past times with Jesus and cries….

Adrian tells Valero that admissions are open for the school he’d like to attend, but worries this is not the right time to mention it to his family. Valero encourages him to do it, his education is important.

Guerrero – Capitulo 37 – Part 2 of 2

Emma has a falling out with her friends, who make fun of Adrian again, call her a drunk, a bad influence (and an even worse influencer) and bad for their image. She is crushed by their rejection, but she feels even worse when she tries to talk to Victoriana and apologize, but all she gets is: “I’m sick of you, you always bother me, I can’t stand you anymore, how much do I still have to sacrifice for you…” It’s soul crushing to watch, I actually feel bad for Emma. Victoriana also promises to send Emma packing to a boarding school. Seeing how things are going at home, I think Emma would probably be better off.

Lupe and Conchita realize their hard-earned money is gone, put two and two together and come to the conclusion that Celestino stole it from them. Together with Heriberto, they confront him and after he denies it for a while, he admits to having taken the money. Heriberto wants him out of the house, but Celestino tries to blackmail Lupe into letting him stay; they were never involved in the past, but they are business partners now. Heriberto has to get physical, the guy knows some Karate, he knocks Celestino out.

When she gets home Mari finds a letter from her “father” in which he says that he’s leaving because he doesn’t know how to be a dad. I think it’s all for the better, but this is the second blow for Mariluz today.

So Celestino is apparently gone, hopefully for good, because he was starting to rob the brothers, too, and Valerio was onto him.

Sam and Damian visit Jesus in his room. They are all happy to be reunited, Damian and Sam tell Jesus he is the glue that keeps them together.

Later Damian apologizes to Domenica for his outburst the other day; he was very worried about Jesus and talking nonsense. Domenica accepts his excuses and says they are OK. At some point they are going to have a conversation about some of the things he said, but for now everything is good, Kiss, kiss, enjoy you two, a storm is coming your way.

Guerrero

¡Hola, Patio!

Thanks Adriana & Darcy.

Some notes.

Episode starts with Augi’s pompadour in full effect. I’m happy.

I like the new dynamic with Carloca blaming Mariluz and Damián defending her and blaming Augi. These wildcards (Carloca & Damián) should have more scenes together.

Next Augi’s giving Mommy Dearest the business, and the pompadour is gone. I’m sad. Plot thickener: Augi says Lupe is a much better mother and dares MD to deny it before storming out. Ruh oh.

Cute: Mica showed up to the waiting room with jackets for Sam & Dam sent by Valero. Aww.

Sam’s praying was very heartbreaking. He says he never had a family and he wants a family and asks that his brother not be taken away. He acknowledges being clumsy in prayer because nobody ever taught him (that part got me), and continues to pray.

My watery eyes soon found (comic) relief. After Damián and Adrián swore to avenge Jesús, Valero popped in to remind them to remain calm. He asks them to remain (what I heard as) abusados which must be slang as I only know the literal translation of that word. Help!

Can we talk about Iker? Augi (full pomp again) orders Fede to resolve the mess with Iker & Dom. Fede sends a sleeping Iker a message which he tries to answer with his foot! Ok. Another surprise: Iker is supposed to be the crème de la crème of high society so why is he covered in bargain basement tattoos? Nevertheless, Carloca shines in her subsequent conversation with him. Offering to tell him where Domi is (with Damián) and calling him “ex-cuñis” was rich!

When Jesús opened his eyes, he asked for his scapular (escapulario). This item was also a plot point is Mi Camino es Amarte.

I was surprised when Carloca put her whole craziness on full display with Mari - threatening to kill Jesús rather than concede. The ensuing catfight was a pool short of being something we’d see on Dynasty/Melrose Place.

The sad Emma saga continues. Anvils on order for MD, Rodrigo, and Renata. Methinks the Patio would gladly pay for express shipping.

Adrián & Celestino (Boo!) are discussing Jesús’s status when Valero (out of no where) admonishes, “ Less chat and more working!” This made me laugh. Once again “abusado” is referenced which I just don’t get.

Once Celestino is confronted, the claws come out. Conchita yells, “¡Tu abuela!” Amongst other things which I wasn’t expecting. This may be the equivalent of “Yo Momma!”’

MD’s threat was Emma would be going to an international boarding school by the weekend!

Dam/Domi are back on track with difficult conversations on the horizon.

O.S. - thank you for adding some details I missed or forgot while writing my recap. But just so you know, these are not just notes, they are small recaps. I understand why you'd fear commiting to writing something, but you are kind of doing it already, so... might as well take the credit :))
Your observations are always on point, your writing is funny and compelling and new voices are always needed around here. You don't need to write everything, what you are doing now is just enough to get the ball rolling.

Think about it :)

In that context "abusado" means someone who just takes advantage of what they have and goes to far, they are abusing their privilege. Which is the perfect way to describe Celestino.
For me "Tu abuela!" is just one of those expressions that you can't properly translate, but are a form of scolding someone who has been cery rude.

"GUERRERO":
OS: Good job with the recap of yesterday's episode. Assuming the Body Count is slowly increasing with the villains upping the ante even further against the Good Guys ?

Darcy: Expect the crazy!

I'm still watching just for Samuel. While watching the episode, I was thinking that some 15 years ago I would have been anxious for jesus to recover and would have been touch by Mari's tears. Now I just think she is stupid for even considering waiting for him when he is being so vague. Had he Jesus really slept with mis lunny tunes, would the writers still make Mari forgive him?
Victoriana all of a sudden decides to be 'strict'. Her lack of introspection is already a bit too much for me. It's all Emma's fault apparently. Well, and Lupe's too. One thing I think is often true is that people judge others based on what they themselves would do. Victoriana is the kind of person who would take advantage of any opportunity to 'get' a man she wants and so Lupe must be the same.
That scene with Adrian thinking of not studying and then suddenly changing his mind made me think they cut something
Mika gave Emma a lecture. I remember thinking this seemed more the kind of behaviour you would expect from an angry parent.Domenica somehow turned out decent inspite of how neglectful her parents are. Even if she got more attention from MD, given how stupid Vicky is, this can't have helped much in her upbringing.
Emma's 'friends' did her a huge favour. She only doesn't know this yet.

Guerrero. Another excellent recap, Darcy and great additions by O.S. Victoriana is absolutely horrible to Emma. Thank goodness Lupe was there to save her! Whoa! Carlota is willing to kill Jesus if she can't have him? She just gets nuttier and nuttier and should be locked up. Btw, why aren't there observation cameras in Jesus's room or at least more frequent checks by medical staff? Oh well, Novelaland! Once again, Emma needs a new group of friends (not to mention a new mother). Her former group is just terrible--incredibly mean and blaming her for things they caused.

Corazon Guerrero - Capitulo 37 - quick notes

Iker witnesses Domenica and Damian's reconciliation. Bohoo!

Vicky receives the DNA results she asked for, gets the confirmation that Mari and Augie are related. Asif any actual proof was ever needed in a novela.

Adrian sees the live his friend from the orphanage did, badmouthing Emma. Emma sees it, too and she cries about it, getting even worse when she realizes her friends are searching for someone to replace her in their dancing group. Thank God she has Domenica, who realizes something is off with her and tries to cheer her up. People leaving nasty comments online are just haters and her so called friends are not worth the tears. She encourages Emma to find support in her loved ones... but who really shows any love to Emma these days besides Domenica?

Jesus manages to escape Carlota's watchful eye in the hospital (Valero locks her up in the bathroom LOL) and goes to see Mari at home. But she's already gone, she packed a bag and went to stay at Augie's ranch for a few days (after asking his permission). In her letter to Lupe and Conchita she apologizes for leaving behind their backs, but she needs some time away, she will contact them. Good on Mari for leaving, Jesus storming into her room because he didn't believe her family's answer that she was away didn't sit right with me.

Back at the hospital before Carlota can realize he was gone, Jesus also receives Augie's visit. After what he did for him, from now on he's like the son he never had, and he has his full trust. As Augie speaks, Jesus remembers his real father...

Now sleeping in a servant room (per her request), Mari calls home to say that she's OK.

Adrian suggests his friends to invite Emma to be a part of their dancing group, since he plans to focus on school for now.

Damian and Domenica talk about telling her parents the truth about them when some cops come to take her away on money laundering charges. Both Damian and Victoriana (in hysterics) try to stop them, but Domenica is taken away, while everyone watches (even Sam is there, manages to see Domenica as she desperately asks Damian to find her father).

Augie is otherwise occupied, he prepared an entire dinner setup for Lupe. Since she said no to his dinner invitation, he brought dinner to her (candles included). At first she says no, but Conchita convinces her to accept. Because there is no bigger fool than an old fool.
During dinner Augie thanks Lupe again for helping Ema and tells her they don't need to leave the house, Victoriana agreed to renew their contract (as if!).

That's aboutit! Anyone, feel free to add the details I surely missed.

Does anyone know the name of that song that played in the dinner scene? I was so distracted trying to hear it that I missed part of what Augusto was saying and had to rewind. My efforts were wasted, though, as I couldn't find that song.
There's no way that girl will just let Emma join their band.
From what I've seen, I'll have to suffer through quite a few Guadalupe/Augusto scenes. This just can't be the final pairing because Gustito is a criminal.
Since Domenica is not around, I wonder if Emma won't end up in that school. I hope guadalupe takes her under her wing, otherwise she will just go back to the old ways. It was nice to see Domenica giving some sound and non-judgemental advice. I somehow am surprised every time characters in telenovelas say something reasonable. Who relieased Carlota from that bathroom? It amuses me that Dom's ex managed to throw her under the bus. I wonder how well hidden he is because it seems so crazy to betray her when he knows Augusto will move heaven and earth to find him. But then again, maybe they should have dragged him to the police instead of just threatening.
