Refugio Para el Amor #141 Thu 10/25/12 Rosa's Plan Backfires, Luci Sees Her Son But Does She Recognize Him?
Funeral Home, D.F.
We open this epi tonight with Rosa just having heard the "Osito" word she has been so hell bent on finding out. She saunters into the room and Max greets her. Rosa la loca goes right up to Vicky and expresses her condolonces on behalf of her and Max. Vicky is lookin' scared and Rosa comments what a hard worker and great man Don Jeronimo was. Vicky is really crying and Rosa says it's best if they leave Vicky to her grief. Vicky thanks them for being there. Rosa and Max go and Vicky is left alone with her grief.
Nicole and Aldo have a little cafecito outside and Nicole can't beleive that Max and Rosa came, and Vicky is really taking this hard. Aldo says Don J worked for the Torreslanda firm many years. They go back inside to be with Vicky so she isn't alone.
Oscar, Conny and Claudio are standing together and can't beleive that Don Jeronimo is dead. Was he sick, they wonder? Claudio says he was talking with him just the other day, Oscar gives him a funny look.
Rod and Pato are talking and Rod asks how Pato is doing? Pato says by the grace of Dios he would be here too, if he hadn't had quick care after his accident. Rod says he is glad Pato is still with them. Rod asks after Luci, look dude couldn't you ever ask her yourself? Really! Pato tells Rod that Luci is looking for her son, Pato was going to go with her, but since Don J died, he came to the wake/funeral instead. Rod says the P.I.'s have checked everywhere but nothing, absolutely no new info. Rod says they and he will never stop looking he swears. In come Vicky and Aldo. Rosa la loca holds out her arms to Vicky as a show of condolence and Vicky has no choice to be embraced by this viper of a woman. Rosa loudly says I am so sorry for your loss, and then pulls Vicky close in her arms and whispers in her ear, but it's a shame you are alive "Osita"! Vicky is shocked, she can't say a thing. Then Rosa la loca goes to Max and tells him, I know you want to be here in Vicky's time of need, but you got more important things to do, like talk to Hanna. Max gets a puzzled look on his face, and Rosa la loca goes close to his ear and the viper is spitting her venom and says Adios "Ostio", Max is shocked, I tell you shocked! The look on his face, like busted! Vicky cries in the background and Vicky watches as they leave and Rod takes Max's place by the coffin. Rosa is stomping out of that funeral home and Max wants to know what talk with Hanna? Rosa tells him you had an affair, you made me confess all to the children (Ahem: There are more sins piled up than you can shake a stick at lady, jus' sayin") and now it's your turn. She leaves Max stranded as Gennaro takes Rosa la loca off. This is her new planes! Make Max confess all in front of his children about the amante!

Ayer –
Oscar and Conny repeat their delightful arrival at Oscar’s place where he welcomes her to their new home. Ay, amor, says Conny as she watches him turn around to face her, arms open wide. Te amo, he says, as he swings her around and pulls her suggestively toward the bedroom where he has a surprise for her.
Fab & Lor have been joined by Aldo, seemingly at the car wash, after hours. They share bottles of soda. Lor wants to know if Aldo really wants to discuss business. Nope, he wants to invite them out to the best hamburguesas in town. Lor insists on paying, though. If he and Fab can’t pay, no hamburgers.
Rod is looking down at Alexia, still awake in her crib in a large rather sterile nursery room. He promises that she will get to know her brother. In contrast, LilRod/Mateo is sleeping peacefully on Don Chelo’s bed (I hope he’s been as diligent at washing his sheets, blankets and spreads as he has the diapers. I just wish he’d wash his gloves and snitch some of RE’s or Alonslow’s hand sanitizer before picking up Mateo).
Hoy –
The Drip Drab Dungeon in the Sky Where the Sun Don’t Shine
Rod has picked up Alexia and is holding her. Nitey-nite Nurse comes in to tell him his esposa is waiting for him for dinner. She’ll stay with the baby. He whispers to Alexia to sleep with the angels. As he blesses her he says, mainly to himself, that the blessing is for little Rodrigo as well. He kisses her and tells her he loves her. (Note: they haven’t changed the blue crib linens, or the mobile, but Alexia has some pink on. I wonder what Gala did with all the clothing in boys size 0-3 mos, 3-6 mos, 6-12 mos, 18 mos, 24 mos and toddler 3’s she bought.)
Brigida (ok, here’s hoping there is rehabilitation in her future) is serving Rod wine. Gala comes in, wasting no time in telling Rod how much she luuurrves her baby and he was right. She wants the crib moved right into her bedroom so she can be near her. Skeptical, Rod says he thought she didn’t want her sleep interrupted by the baby. Gala gaily announces that’s all behind her—she fact-checked the internet and what she had was post-partum depression (if you ask me the symptoms describe Gala’s normal state: irritating, disagreeable, intolerable) and now the symptoms are slowly going away. She can’t wait to have Alexia close to her. While they are alone, Gagme gets to the heart of what really matters—is Rod going to continue sleeping on the sofa. (With Brigida, and the night nurse there, it must be a little embarrassing his not sleeping with her.) No, he’s going to sleep in Alexia’s room (I guess he means with or without Alexia in it). Gafarza’s face tells the whole story. She can’t stand him, the baby or the whole mamacita role. Wonder what she’s cooking up—can’t be anything edible.
From Luci’s Apt to Het Het
Luci is on the phone talking to Paz about coming to SFdeA to take pictures of all her pottery pieces for the catalog. (Luci has a wan smile on her face, but the light has gone out of her eyes.) Paz worries that they might be overwhelmed with orders, but Luci tells her that they’ll only do as much as they can. The catalog is a marketing strategy to reach far beyond the area. Luci wants to know how Ariche is. He’s busy with school, exams and working hard on his piggy banks. She misses them. Paz asks her not to get sad, Luci and LilRod are always in her prayers. She’s sure that wherever he is he’s being cared for. Luci tells her she also asks the Virgencita who, in protecting all her children, protects Luci's, too.
TL Mansion – Patricio’s Bedroom
Pato is tucked up in bed and Jana has squeezed in beside him. They’re talking about her love life and teenage angst—but she has a point, Boris is being a pest. She doesn’t know what else to do about him. She’s told him she’s not his novia anymore and doesn’t want anything more to do with him, but he keeps popping up in the wrong place—like the brouhaha at the car wash. Pato isn’t much help in the advice department (after all, he’s a guy, pursuing someone whose heart is somewhere else). He tells her that it’s Boris that has to back off. She thinks he needs therapy or something. Pato teases her for being such a heartbreaker. She’s sure it was Lula that set up the car wash confrontation. She’s going to talk to her tomorrow. Pato hopes Boris hasn’t gone to RE first, or things will go badly for her. Jana is firm that Boris had better not stick his nose in where it doesn’t belong. She kisses Pato goodnight and is off.

Refugio Para el Amor #139 Tue 10/23/12 All Great Stories Begin With A Journey....
…...If not all, then most of them
do. The main character, through circumstance or choice, is led to
leave the comfortable nest of childhood and seek his future destiny
elsewhere. The trip involves hardship and joy, triumph and defeat,
hope and disillusionment....and God willing a happy ending!
So let's take a look tonight at all
our characters, not just Luciana, and see where they are on this long
and eventful journey.
Roselena:
She seems to be moving closer to her destiny of emptiness,
loneliness and abandonment. We see her walking through her soulless
house, checking for dust on the banister, and stopping to study the
picture of her with her two sons. The vacuity of her life is
underscored by the total absence of background music. She lives and
moves in utter silence, other than her complaint to Mati about her
sister Connie leaving the house.
R- How ungrateful she is, biting the hand that feeds her! But
you'll see, she'll come back ashamed and humiliated, abandoned by her
younger lover.
Mati defends Connie, noting the courage she showed raising and
supporting her children alone after her divorce when Aldo was only
one. But none of this cuts any ice with Roselena, who thinks if
Connie were decent she'd forgo men altogether and devote herself to
raising her children....chastely.
She is daily sinking deeper into criminal cruelty and contempt. And
her sessions with the psychiatrist still revolve around her desire to
discover the identity of Maximino's lover. When the doctor questions
why she persists, when the private investigator has discovered
nothing, she mutters “We all know that aparencias
engañen (appearances
are deceiving) and I will
find out who she is.” She is never motivated by love or
tenderness. Vengeance and destruction are her only driving forces.

Refugio Para el Amor #138 Mon 10/22/12 Frigida Gets a New Gig; Mateo Has a Bad Day; Rod and Luci Have a Sleepless Night; But Barrio Business is Booming
Doña Chuy has just chewed Don Chelo out for falling off the
wagon and getting drunk after two months of fatherhood and sobriety. She leaves
in disgust. Not being able to walk yet, Baby Mateo has no choice but to start
bawling to voice his own disappointment in his adopted papa. In order to cope, Don
Chelo makes a beeline for his trusty bottle and takes a sip, but he stops
mid-sip when he sees Mateo’s disapproving little face.
In her hospital suite, which is three times bigger than
Chelo’s trailer, Gala is also doing her best to ignore a baby in need. Baby
Girl TL is swaddled and forgotten in a hospital cart next to the bed, while
Gala checks her messages on her phone, and G-Ma Julie contemplates her next
shopping spree. Frigida comes to visit, and you know it’s a sad day for a kid
when Frigida pays more attention to her than her mother or grandmother. Frigida
starts kissing up. This is the first time she’s asked time off from work during
the week, dontcha know? She asks after Gala’s health. Gala’s being released so
she calls Rod to come pick her up. Frigida makes herself busy packing Gala’s
things. Julie and Gala wonder what’s up with the uptick in butt kissing from the
Frigid one.

Refugio Para el Amor #137 Fri 10/19/12 Some Avon house calls with no sales, Gala refuses to follow the 'motherhood 101' script, Luci upset at meeting baby Gala, Rod comes by to reassure her he will never stop looking for baby Rod, Padre gives Luci some encouragement ... ah! and Frigida took a shower!
Refrito:
Luci's Apartment of Faith and Hope: (Loved the nick, Madelaine!)
Luci and Vio say goodbye to Paz… she is going back to Het Het.. but leaves worried about Luci and baby
Nicole's Salon:
Max arrives to ask Vicky for ‘the works’ personalized spa treatment at penthouse, cost is non-issue. Vicky not happy about it.
Fancy Hospital in the D.F. It is a beautiful girl!! Gagme not happy… get her away!
Lo Nuevo:
Connie is having tea with the older witches, Julie undermines Luci’s baby as ‘nada que ver’ while she praises Gagme’s new baby girl. RE comments that she never even met Luci’s baby boy(liar!!), nothing to write home about, white, black hair, big eyes… Julie says Gala’s baby looks like Rod, and Luci’s baby looks like her. Connie says if thst is so Luci’s baby must have been beautiful. She notes Julie is a bit anxious. She claims she is interviewing potential nannies for the baby.
At hospital, Rod is able to carry this child of his, calls her ‘little princess’. SO glad to have you in my arms. Daddy loves ya… (cries)… know you have a little bro called Rodrigo? And I swear… I swear to you that one day you will meet him… (kisses baby on forehead)… looks up determined…
Pato in therapy again, Janah runs in to tell him Rod’s baby was born. Pato can’t go with her to see her, have to meet Luci at office, but will go see her tomorrow. Janah will take picture of baby to send him. Janah leaves, Pato is sad, even drops the therapy ball… ‘Rod must be happy’. Jorge asks about Luci’s baby investigation. Nothing. Two months have gone and no clue where he is.
At TL Manor, Frigida and Mati in kitchen… each takes the marketing propaganda they have us used to. Frigida comments she is in talks with Gagme and Julie about working for them. Mati says but isn't Gagme going to hire a nanny and two nurses to care for the baby? ah! then you will be HER nanny. Frigida tells Mati ‘it shows you were never happy since you were a kid’.
At TL offices, Aldo reports his expenses to Max, including a ‘carrito’, a working tool. ‘an active circulante’… LOL!!
Oscar comes in and Aldo takes his exit before he gets yelled at. Oscar congratulates Max on the birth of baby granddaughter.
Oscar brings him report that the investigators have so far. They are almost certain that the baby must still be alive, since around that time there was no report of a dead baby found.
Don Chelo is singing again (sorry don’t know the name of the song… that one that sounds funi, funi funi culaaaa…) Talks to Mateo, while hanging the rags/cloth diapers on a clothes line inside his hut because it is about to rain outside, washing the soiled diapers too… Baby Rod is much bigger looking now, pretty accurate for 2 mos old (but a 2 mos well fed baby… so Don Chelo must have gone out of his way to feed and treat him right)
Vio, Luci and Selene show Lore and Fabian the site for their new business ‘Curvas Continuas’ (continuous/neverending curves)…
At Het Het… at the work shop in Magda’s house, things look good, Namurachi is saying all they need now is to work on motivating the women to come work and learn… Namu asks about Luci… very sad, but she won’t loose faith. Namu is always praying for her. How is Paz? On her way home. … Hopefully Luci will make it home too. Namu wants to thank her personally for everything she has done for the women. Magda says thanks to you too since you have taken over and done so much for the women around here.
Don Aq comes in, and Magda is as bitter with him as always… He asks how is Luci and her baby… Magda won’t believe his concern is honest. Want me to believe you are worried about Luci?... Don Aq insults Magda’s character… she keeps sermoning about he never cared for Vio… Don Aq does not want her to mix apples and oranges. Ariche comes in asking for Luci and baby. Don Aq leaves after shouting that if he does not do more for Luci it is for Magda’s attitude toward him… Magda takes Ariche to get a drink.
Janah, Aldo and Melissa come to the hospital to meet the baby girl. Julie lies to her toes saying Gala is sooooo happy to have her baby. RE pulls Julie aside saying Gala has to change her attitude, Everyone else already noticed how ‘not into it’ she is about her daughter. Julie says it is not so serious, just post-partum stuff. RE says she does not know about that, but Rod’s birth was the biggest happy moment in her life and Max’s life. Then when Janah was born it was the final piece to solidify their marriage. Julie cannot stay quiet and says ‘of course, I can imagine! Your marriage is such an exemplary marriage’ (LOL!! This whole exchange is so funny) RE looks at her like a warning.
Vicky arrives at Max’ new apt… he welcomes her, she has an attitude, she did not come to do what he expects, she just came because he wanted to talk, so talk!... Max taken aback.
At Gala’s hospital room, Connie and her kids are there to see the kid. Connie is carrying the baby. Melissa asks permission to take a picture. Gala says sure but not really interested. Aldo comments ‘uy! How moved/emotional!’ Gala claims she is ‘tired’ but not nicely. Rod says our baby is beautiful. Gala says ‘yes I know, it was logical to be so)’. Rod asks Gala to carry the baby. Gala says no, better put her in the crib, I am tired and in pain. Aldo again comments ‘how motherly!’ to which he gets a rolling eyes from Melissa. (But even though Melissa rolled her eyes at Aldo, both Rod and Connie also looked at Gala a bit surprised/deflated when she responded she did not want to carry her). After a while… the conversation gets around the name they will give the baby girl. Aldo asks about ‘Galita’. Gala undermines that, it is not fashionable anymore nowadays. When the visitors leave, Gala nags about it being a bad custom for people to visit her the very day she has a surgery… Rod claims she is not sick, but she repeats she is not feeling well, don’t want visits… Rod says the baby is biting at his finger. She says call the nurse to feed her. Rod surprised Gala is not planning to feed her herself.
‘ Not in your dreams, Rodrigo’. He is hurt … certainly we all know who will be the better parent here…
At TL office, Pato and Luci are in his office, he is glad she finally came to the office.
Pato receives a message. He gets Luci to help him with it… turns out it is the photo of the baby girl from Janah, Luci is instantly upset and Pato realizes it, he says that it is Rod’s baby girl, that Janah had told him she would send a picture. Luciana, with major difficulty to keep herself together, walks back in front of his desk and sits down, manages to say ‘she is very pretty’. Pato looks at her, not sure who looks more pained.
Luci assumes Rod must be very happy. But Pato knows better, so he tells her not to get like this, that even though Rod is happy for his daughter, for him to be completely happy they have to find his son.
Luci: Yes, my son. We have to find my son because my only consolation is to think that my son is being cared for well by good people who love him very much and treat him right. Right, Patricio? (Great acting here by both Zuria and Brandon).
At Max’s apt, he wants Vicky to stop the silly talk, she came to be with him… Vicky stands firm, he continues to try to convince him to get back with him as before. Vicky is not willing to turn back time… what she wants is to enjoy her youth, will find a man who cares for me and treats me right, who will treat me as I deserve, as a QUEEN!!!... Don’t even have time to see you regularly since Nicole gave her the admin of this estetica while she manages the other one… I even get a cut of the profits. She helped me without asking for anything in return. Max changes strategy saying this was a test of her to make sure she wanted to be with him for him, not for his money… Vicky is not buying what he is selling, she says time is gold, so you can keep the time I just wasted on you. After she leaves Max swears to himself that Vicky will be back begging him to take her back.
Lastra came to Estelita’s house. She won’t have any of what he is selling either… Estelita blames him for all the disgraces of Luci and then Lorenzo… he wanted to get them in jail with false accusations. She would never let her daughter have anything to do with him. He claims he is willing to change, to become another man, but need a chance to tell your daughter. Estelita pushes him out the door… He has one final plea… ‘for your daughter I found love’… to no avail, no sale at this door…
Janah calls Lorenzo asking for Luci… same … Janah tells him Rodrigo’s daughter was born… Lorenzo says if she looks like you she must be beautiful. Janah can’t help but blush at the compliment… Janah sends her greetings to Luci… Lorenzo repeats she is more than welcome to visit her anytime… Thanks… thank you for calling.. aaahhh love…
Pato on phone with Rod… Rod says he is happy, just as he was when he met his son over the phone sent picture… Pato tells Rod Luci was with him when he received the pic from Janah and Luci was very upset by it. Rod asks how can I be happy when she is suffering so… Pato tells him what Luci said, that she would only find her happiness when she gets her son back. Rod knows it. Janah comes in smiling… Came to say good night. Tells Pato she called Lorenzo. He teases her her mom will find out. Then about her saying ‘no tiene nada de malo’ (there is nothing wrong with that (calling Lorenzo) [or the alternate meaning with him (Lorenzo)]…then about Janah saying ‘Lorenzo is VERY well/fine’ (which could mean healthwise or hunkwise) Just then comes the witch they were worrying/joking about… none other than the wicked witch of the East who somehow avoided Dorothy’s house from flattening her like a pancake. RE asks Pato why he did not come to the hospital to meet his niece. Pato says I prefer to wait and meet her at their apartment. RE says don’t know why since she is the firstborn of your brother. (Pato just looks down, but Janah comments that the first born of Rod was Luci’s baby.). RE keeps on demeaning/not recognizing Luci’s baby as Rod’s firstborn…Ah! Luci’s baby… that poor angelito surely must be in heaven… (Pato takes offense with this) Mama… I am sure Luci’s baby is alive somewhere.And we will find him. RE keeps lying up her rearview side saying she has been praying for him, may God protect him wherever he is.
Pato just rolls his eyes and looks away. Same with Janah.
At TL offices, Aldo gets summoned again to see Max. He is worried it is another issue with his expense report… but no, Max wants Aldo to do some errands for him. Just follow the instructions I give you tomorrow. You just show up in my name, they will know how to deal with you… Btw, I am very well pleased with your attitude as of late. Btw, did you break up with Vicky? …. She broke up with me… that is not what you both said at the restaurant. … Fine, just do what I tell you tomorrow.
At hospital, Dr says they might go tomorrow. Gala seems to want to spend another week at nurse scout torture camp… Julie says no way, better to spend the night at a luxury hotel than at a hospital! It would even be cheaper!.. (even Gagme is gagging.. GAH!!!) Doctor smirks at the comment but continues on… you let me know then. Doc takes his leave. Rod goes with him. Julie is in disbelief that Gagme wants to stay… Gagme says I want Rod’s attention… Julie insists Gagme needs to pay more attention to her daughter since she is the passport/gateway to the TL inheritance. And now that she is born, you should start insisting in Rod getting a living will.. and you listen to me, from this point forward you do whatever Rod says… Gala turns away not liking that piece of the marching orders…
Rod and Gagme’s friends are out in waiting room… they are not in a hurry to get married.. Fer is not in a hurry to take role of housewife and mother… Vale is in disbelief that Gagme would be a 24/7 mother. .. Just at this moment Rod comes out and says ‘yes Valentina… it will be so, at least until the baby is 3 y.o., then will go to school and Gagme would go back to the office. Rod tells his friends he will spend the night with Gala. Vale says the baby looks like Rod, the prettiest of the whole nursery. Julie comments that her granddaughter will never call her ‘abuela’, just ‘Julie’… (GAHHH!!!) Rod says he will go the apt for clothes and will be back. But will leave very early in the morning, have a meeting at the office and will be back later in the day in case she is released. (not exactly what Gagme had in mind, is it?)
At her apartment, Luci is on phone with Claudio… she is about to go to sleep. Doorbell rings. It is Rod (who else??) She lets him in. She gets anxious asking if there are news on her son… Rod says unfortunately not. But you know Claudio and I will not rest until there are. Luci notes it has been 67 days with no news on my son. Rod says more than 1600 hours… (he can do math too)… He says Pato told him she met his daughter. Luci says yes she is beautiful, then she gets paranoic/startled, begging Rod to never take his eyes off his daughter because otherwise something could happen to her… Rod approaches Luci and comforts her.…Rod swears to Luci he will never stop looking for ‘OUR’ son. NEVER!… He is also my son. He is OUR son. And believe me I am fighting with all my heart so I would not have to see you like this, so I would not have to see the sorrow in your eyes. (he hugs her).
Don CHelo is with Mateo tapping off his gasses. He holds his drink bottle, tells him he has not had a drop of alcohol in two months, still fighting the temptation… HE puts Mateo back in his wooden basket stroller(baby Mateo barely fits in it anymore)… he has something important to do…. He grabs the bottle… cheers!... and drinks the whole bottle. (OUCH!!)
At TL manor, Frigida begs RE to let her go out for a while. RE wants her to wait for the weekend. Frigida begs some more. RE gives in. ‘I even took a shower already!’ (LOVED the look on RE’s face at this final comment on Frigida). RE and Mati find it strange that Frigida has to go out.
RE is heading to the hospital. Mati will wait until they are back in the apartment to meet the baby.
At street sidewalk Chelo is doing his act and passing the hat for the coins. Some old woman is nagging about him doing this on the street and having the baby beside him. Chelo defends himself saying he has to get some money to survive and support the baby… The ladies notice his breath smells of alcohol and they comment he should be reported to the authorities.
Padre Honesto visits Luci. He owed her a visit for a long time. HE wants to talk to her. Luci upset tells Padre that it has been two months and no news on her son. Not a hint. She keeps trying. But she can’t take it, and she confesses her faith buckles at times. Padre says it is normal for her to weaken. Luci says I lost it. I can’t stop thinking that if I had not left that clinic my son would be with me!! Padre keeps telling her not to torment herself. Luci asks what mother would do that?? Padre reminds her even Virgin Mary lost her son for three days, and found him. That Jesus prepared her for his redemption, for our salvation. Think that even the Virgin Mary went through this and suffered very much. Maybe through your suffering you could help more people.. (now I see Luci and Rod starting a foundation to help find lost kids by the FIN). Luci nods in agreement.
RE and Genaro in the white SUV almost run into CHelo and the stroller… RE is yelling at Chelo and standing right by Mateo… she takes one look at Mateo and freezes. (this baby must remind her of baby Luci because RE is frozen in her tracks)
Chelo yells at RE to let him get off the road, there are cars waiting to go by. RE keeps on yelling at him, Viejo bruto!! And that the authorities should take the baby from him. RE gets back in car and Chelo takes Mateo away saying ‘don’t mind this old hag woman’.
RE is at church looking for Padre Honesto. The monaguillo/altarboy tells her Padre left. RE calls Padre. He tells her I am with Luci, don’t wait for me. RE is not happy to hear that. Padre keeps encouraging Luci to pray and wait… hope is wishing it will happen, faith is believing it will happen and courage is to make it happen. (very nice scene)

At CHelo’s hut… he tells Dona Chuy about his meeting with the ill-intentioned women.
That the ladies said he uses the baby to inspire pity… and that RE and her chofer almost ran them over and RE even insulted him over that! And that RE would not stop staring at Mateo… The baby is so ‘chulo’ that he calls a lot of attention. Chuy notices Chelo stinks of alcohol. Chelo whines that he does not have to change his lifestyle for the baby. He can turn it into the authorities. Chuy asks if you were not going to change, why did you keep him?? Borracho!! … She leaves, Chelo warns Mateo that he will turn him in…
Mateo is crying loudly, Chelo grabs another bottle, but then looks at Mateo and seems to stop drinking.

Refugio Para el Amor #136 Thu 10/18/12 Luci Grieves, It Sucks To Be Rod, Lil Roddy is Baptized
Luci's Apartment of Faith and Hope:
There is little hope and faith right now in Luci's apartment. She is crying by her lil Roddy's crib, wanting forgiveness for lil Roddy being taken from her and she is desperately crying and wondering where her bebe is. She is depressed and greiving.
Rod and Gagme's Apartment of Hate and Gloom:
Rod has come home, tired and anxious and of course gets accosted by the screaming Mimi (Ed Note: When I lived in Florida the natives always talked about the screaming Mimis, the skeeters that is. Huge suckers and will suck you dry of blood well this is Gagme right on the money). Does she greet her husband lovingly, oh no, she is screaming about how he aint been home, he should have been with her cause she's sick and Julie and his Mama had to take care of her, when he is the one that should have taken care of her, as Anita said, ME , ME , ME, and after all she is six months pregnant with HIS bebe, and he tries to tell her of course, been looking for his other bebe, but that of course isn't her problem to deal with, and she tells him he is reponsible for everything that is going on. Sucks to be Rod. Note to Gagme: I hope the hounds of hell pursue you into the fiery lake of hell, that is, after your poor innocent bebe is born.
Luci's Apartment of Faith and Hope:
Luci is still crying by lil Roddy's crib, asking for forgivness and desolation is palatable in that room as she grips the crib and cries. Paz and Claudio come in to comfort her. Claudio asks her to go back and rest, she needs the rest and it isn't her fault. Claudio doesn't want her punishing herself. They are doing and will do anything they can to find Luci's bebe. They tell her to have faith and both have to hold her up as she cries and wants her bebe. She is totally desolate.
The Boxcar Barrio:
Dona Chuy is showing Don Chelo how to burp the bebe so he doesn't get colic. Don Chelo is learning. She is telling him the bebe will have to be changed also. Don Chelo wants to know if she is coming back tomorrow, she says no. She tells Don C he has to feed the bebe every three hours! ( I remember doing that) and she says this bebe is his sole reponsiblity. He wants to know why? Dona Chuy tells him that this little angel was put in his path for a reason! I think all of Viewerville knows why that is! At this lil Roddy belches, which means he's good to go.

Prelude – The
torrential downpour ended, the scene is left muddy. There is a baby missing; there is a baby
found. There are parents, family and
friends distraught knowing a newborn baby has disappeared; there is an unknown
man equally distraught at what he found—a newborn baby now in his possession.
Ayer – In case you missed it, Univision wants to make sure you are completely saturated with what happened in yesterday’s episode before starting tonight’s.
Pato is crying out in anguish from his bed to Matilde that he feels impotent, tied to this bed and wheelchair. He confesses that he loves Luci with all his might and soul.
Claudio and Rodrigo come back to the Cruz Roja waiting area, where Luci was brought, with coffee for Paz and Magda. Claudio urges Paz to eat. She needs her strength. Luci needs her to be strong.
Claudio gets a call from Norma on what Barrera has been doing. Regrettably, he’s been all over the neighborhood where Luci was, but no one saw anything.
Max arrives. He asks how Luciana is. She’s weak, but stable. Max wants to know if Rod is going to be the one to tell Luci. Yes, of course he has to be the one. He started to but that’s when she collapsed and her blood pressure went haywire.
They’ll join forces, with Claudio. Max tells Rod he loves him and won’t abandon him.
A red convertible is whizzing down a busy street. It’s Gala at the wheel, tossing overboard the disguise she wore to the Julia, SE meeting, one piece at a time.
Paz wants to see her daughter. Rod explains that she’s sedated and when Claudio comes out, she can go in to see her. Paz doesn’t know what she will say to her. Rod tells her to have faith. Paz says I have to or I’ll go crazy. Rod swears he will not rest until their son is back in her arms.
Claudio is at Luci’s bedside. She is still sedated and unconscious. He’s anguished because he failed her. He begs her to recover and promises to find her son. We’ll find him.
A camera pans past old box cars, then billboards and posters of Cosi Fan Tutte, La Bohème and Phantom of the Opera, featuring a dapper gentleman, seen in costume and in photographs. A baby cries. A shabby hung-over man with dirty white fingerless gloves wakes with a start. He stumbles over to the source of the crying. It’s a baby in a cardboard box. He looks as though he’s never seen this creature. He picks up the baby and thinks to himself—What am I doing with this?

Roselena is back with the Padre Honesto. He’s deeply concerned for Luciana and the bitterness she’s going through. The death of a child is heavy enough but this type of loss is worse. RE is putting on a first class show for him with her own version of anguish and suffering—for the lost baby and yes, for the mother who will live in torment the rest of her life. She assures the padre that Max and Claudio are doing everything he can. They will be investigating into what happened in the first few minutes before Luciana left the clinic. She asks Padre for prayers and masses to be said every Sunday for Luciana and my grandchild. What pain to endure not to know where the child is or if he’s dead. Padre Honesto assures her he will take charge.

Paz is now in Luci’s room watching over her. A very no-nonsense nurse comes in to read the monitor. Paz wants to know what all the numbers mean. The nurse tells her they are a read-out of her pressure. She’s stable, doing well. It’s my daughter. Nothing is more important in life than one’s children, at least it is for her she tells Paz, not knowing she’s just shoved the knife in her wound a little deeper. Luci comes to. Paz tries to talk to her, but Luci just repeats over and over, “Donde está mi hijo.” [Get used to it, Viewerville will be hearing this phrase a lot.] Luci drifts into unconsciousness again. Paz and Rod exchange places and when Luci comes to again, Rod is with her. Luci tells him she had a nightmare that she heard him say that their son wasn’t with them. Luci begs Rod for an answer, “Donde está mi hijo.” Rod tells her she left the clinic she had the baby, then she fainted in a nearby park. Yes, she knows that. She had to leave. Rod tells her that when the ambulance picked her up, there was no baby. “I want my son, I need my son,” she keeps repeating. She cries inconsolably in Rod’s arms. Rod tries to calm Luci down. I’m going to find him, I swear it. Luci cannot be consoled. She rips off her cuff and tries to get out of bed while Rodrigo holds her back.

Refugio Para el Amor #134 Mon 10/15/12 Where in the World is Luciana Jacinto Flores Linares, ex de Torreslanda?; Roddy Stars in His Own Version of ‘The Hangover’
Remember everyone,
DEEP breaths! Breathe in…breathe out…breathe in…breathe out….
All of Luci’s peeps have FINALLY arrived at the clinic to
find both Luci and the baby gone. A group freak-out ensues. Luci is currently
bleeding and unconscious in the back of an ambulance, whizzing by the clinic
and to a hospital with a real emergency room. Baby Rodrigo Jr. has been dumped
by that BITCH Gala in a pile of garbage in the driving, freezing rain. He is
luckily being protected by his uncle Pato’s Virgin medal, and a shuffling drunk
hears his cries and rescues him. I mean, who could resist that cute face?
The Duo of Witches returns to the scene of the crime, the
garbage heap where Gala so callously left Rosa’s first-born grandchild. Gala panics
that the baby has disappeared. Rosa panics that someone saw her. Gala is sure
no one saw her, but she’s ticked that SHE’s the one who had to take the risk.
She says Rosa’s name aloud, which makes Rosa panic even more—the authorities
might be near and hear. Rosa really loses it. “Estamos perdidas!” (We’re sunk!)
Gala, doesn’t like to be upstaged as the drama queen in any situation, so she
tells Rosa to shut the hell up. They make a hasty retreat to their rented car.

Refugio Para el Amor #133 Fri 10/12/12 the moms and dads are further delayed by weather and traffic... One creepy plan from the witches goes smoothly except one little detail.. leaving one live little Rod on the loose.
Refrito:
Don A’s well wishes to Magda and Paz for Luciana at Het Het. He orders the Cap’n to take good care of them.
Pato and Janah and Jorge… he won’t give up… ever.. (good for him!) He wants Janah to call the hangar to know if Paz/Magda took off from Het Het yet)
RosaE on phone with Julie/Gala… they need to get together to talk about the plan…
At Barrio Clinic(Thanks Madelaine!) the girls are caring for Luci, more like spoiling the heck out of her. The guys and everyone else arrives, making a lot of noise, enough for Carmela. The girls leave, followed by the guys, Fabi tells nurse ‘take care of her for me’.
Estela wants to stay a little while longer and ends up convincing Luciana to let her stay.
Carmela comes in announcing she’s about to bring baby Rod to Luci so he can eat.
Max orders Aldo to find Lastra to find out how close the Police is to their Antro business. Aldo gets scared at a briefcase full of money Max gives him. Max asks ‘can you handle it?’ Aldo says ‘yes I can!’
Lo Nuevo:
The sanitation engineer (SE for short, again thanks Madelaine!) comes in to get the trash. She hears that Estela is about to leave but wants to stay a while longer.
At Gala’s offices, Gala has debriefed RosaE and Julie on the SE lady and her attitude. Julie wonders if they can trust her to keep her mouth shut. RE says necessity is the best ally when it comes to persuading someone to stay quiet. Gala says you should have seen her, she almost kissed my hand when I handed her the money.
RE says they have to rent a car and pay for it in cash, so they leave no tracks. Gala is sure this will be the last bitter pill she has to take from Rod when he gets home tonight.
SE lady calls Luci’s room, plays the role of a woman from hospital admin, saying someone needs to come to the cashier desk to get an invoice for the bill so far. Estelita leaves luci alone. And SE immediately texts Gala. (For a woman who has no education beyond elementary school, she speaks very fluently and with educated wording).
Paz, Magda, Ariche and Mr Pilot have arrived. He tells them he will drive them to the clinic personally, on orders from Pato, Rod and Claudio himself. Ariche says you know how to drive many things. Trains too? Not quite.
Back at Barrio Clinic, SE goes to get Carmela and plays like it is Gala who plans to come steal the baby herself. They both run in Luci’s room to alert her. Carmela is very nervous asking Luci not to get scared (LOL!). They tell Luci about a young elegant woman (why did they not tell her she is pregnant?) was around asking questions about Luci and the baby. SE plays it like she is doing a good deed warning Luci about her and her baby being in danger (that is enough info for Luci, she knows who it is.). She grabs the baby and holds it hard to her chest and jumps up from her bed. Carmela is heading to alert hospital Admin, leaves SE with Luci.(ouch!) Luci is very … VERY…anxious.
Paz and Magda with Ariche and Mr Pilot are still stuck in traffic under a nasty storm.
Estelita finally gets to the front of the line at Cashier. She asks the lady for the invoice.
Back At Luci’s room SE keeps working Luci into a paranoia attack. Luci holds baby Rod very tightly. She won’t even let SE touch her. Now she is in ‘suspect anyone’ mode and heads out. SE helps Luci sneak out around security guard. Then she immediately texts Gala ‘she already left’. (sorry I have a police/MP husband, this woman almost dance a jarabe tapatio [complete with mop & bucket cart] around the CLUELESS security guard).
[Ok, Luciana… let me give you a few options you should have thought about before you ran with your baby into a lightning diluve story only 24 or fewer hours after having a C section [you might say… its late, why bother them; at which time I would smack you on the head with the food tray] IT IS YOUR SAFETY AND YOUR BABY”S!!!! MOVE!!!!:
1. Call Pato (he certainly can put resources out there for you in a flash…)
2. Call Claudio (same as above, he can call and get lots of resources moving for you immediately)
3. Call Rod (heck, this might be HIS wife and HIS mother, after all…)
4. Get out of the room but don’t leave the hospital: Hide in a maintenance closet, ANYWHERE… Your top priority should be to change your location but to HIDE somewhere where your team could find you easily!!
5. Doesn’t even Lorenzo have a cell phone now?? Why not call him or Vio? They were on the way there anyway…
6. Go right to the hospital admin yourself and get them to protect you while the people you could call on the phone get there.
7. Pop a Zumba DVD and dance away with Beto until Lorenzo and Vio get there… after that let Vio take care of RE and Gala… she already has a grudge on them anyway.
8. Put a set of scrubs on and go mingle with the resident doctors, maybe you will find one that will help you hide after you tell him your entire story and he actually believes it.
9. Write a last will so everyone will know what you intend to do with your proceeds from the pot making and what you want them to do with the baby if it survives. Leave a PS for Lorenzo and Hanah to adopt Ariche.
10. Any combination of the above..
11. (the one you chose… running out like a maniac holding your baby out in the storm with no energy, no stamina, low blood pressure, no specific plan of action/defense at all and not alerting any trusted backup help you out.DUH!)
Poor (AND STOOPID) Luci is out on the street under a diluve complete with lightning all over. A car is following her from behind as she walks down the sidewalk.
Meanwhile Paz/Magda/Ari/MrPilot are still stuck in traffic at same spot for almost 1 hr.
Luci keeps walking down holding Little Rod, she is wabbling, surely weak and in pain, her wound surely has opened up again… Car still follows her. Baby starts to cry.
Luci gets to a covered bus stop. Car still approaching very slowly. Luci cries and eventually faints to the floor. A covered woman in designer heels gets out of the car, goes to Luci and takes the baby, leaving Luci there. Woman in heels gets back in car. Its … wait for it… wait for it… RE!! she hands the baby to Gala and says ‘do what you need to do. I will take care of Luciana’. Gala leaves the car, baby on hand. RE calls for an ambulance for Luci (hmmm!... so she does NOT want Luci to die, she wants Luci to suffer the rest of her life for the disappearance of her baby! AND be blamed for it?? GGGRRRR!!!! In a creepy way it makes all the sense in the world, no worse torture for a mother than to know her child is out there somewhere and team RE blames her for it.)
At TL house, Pato is having nightmares, seems like he hears the cries of a woman… Mati comes in, she notices Pato is anxious in his sleep and she and Janah wake him up.
He keeps hearing the cries… but he does not realize what it is… He asks them if they heard about Luci.. no nothing since yesterday. They smile talking about the baby. Then Pato asks for RE, they have not seen her all day, Mati says she left after ‘comida’. They find it strange that RE would go out and be out so late under a storm.
Back at Barrio Clinic, Estelita keeps waiting for the invoice. They won’t have it ready until the doctor releases Luci. Estelita complaints about someone calling the room … She rushes back to Luci’s room.
Nicole and Vicky leave work, Nicole is excited about her new location. She leaves Vicky in charge while she is out starting the other place. Vicky is excited about the task. She hopes she will be independent someday. Vicky gets grabbed by a man
Procopio and Don Aq try to call Luci’s room. But no one is there. Don Aq tries again, to no avail.
Gala drops the baby at some trash cans… hides from a police car with sirens on nearby. ‘hasta nunca little devil. Everything that happens to you will be that cabaretera’s fault. Die already!’ She leaves him there, but seems baby is covered by the trash bags nearby.
At TL manor, Max comes in Pato’s room and tells them Rod must be here any moment. Max also finds it weird that RE is away and not back yet and didn’t tell anyone where she was going, didn’t even take Genaro with her.
Estelita is back in Luci’s room and does not find her or baby, gets alarmed instantly. Starts asking Carmela where Luci is. Carmela is also surprised. Carmela runs out. Estela is upset now.
Back to Vicky’s stalker… … it is Aldo! Vicky yells at Aldo told you I did not want to see you or Max. Aldo pulls out a stack of money (from Max’ briefcase) and tells her he wants to give it to her for her new business. Vicky does not want it. She is afraid someone will assault him for it. She runs out. Leaving Aldo upset.
Rod and Claudio finally make it to airport.
Luci is picked up by ambulance on the street. They notice she is unconscious but still breathing, and bleeding quite a bit through the C-section wound. (Shouldn’t they have covered her before walking her to the ambulance so she would not get the cold water on her face? Duh!! Also, wouldn’t she still have her hospital bracelet? Similar to the one Gala took from her baby?)
RE: this would not have happened if Luci had listened to me. IF she had left from our lives!
Gala: Well, I hope she dies, because from now on her life will be a calvary.
RE: Where did you leave the baby?
Gala: Where he belongs, in the trash.
RE: Did you ensure no one saw you? Did you leave him well hidden?
Gala: I could not. A police car came by and I had to leave him out there.
Vio, Fabi and Lore arrive to the hospital, the ambulance goes right by them and Lorenzo seems to get a bad vibe. He says it is sooo cooooolldd!!
Inside the ambulance, Luci is still alive but seems to be in critical condition judging from the urgency to arrive the medics are in. She has low blood pressure and is bleeding heavily.
Paz, Magda, Ariche and MrPilot are finally nearing the hospital. But not quite there yet.
Paz comments that for a while she has been feeling a bad vibe of anxiety. Ariche can’t wait to meet Luci’s baby. Paz can’t wait to hug the baby. They tell Ariche they don’t think they will let him come in the hospital so they will drop him off at the vecindad first.
At TL house Pato keeps looking at the baby picture. He and Janah wonder if he will look like Rod later when he grows up. Pato can’t wait to feel better to go see Luci and his nephew agay. Janah wants to go with him, her first class is not until noon so she can go with him to see Luci and baby. Janah tells him he has to rest to continue with the therapy ‘si quiero llegar lejos tengo que ir despacio’ (if I want to get far I have to take it slow)
Lore, Vio and Fabi arrive, Estela anxiously tells them what happened. As she is telling them Luci is nowhere to be found, Paz and Magda arrive, Paz gets panicky instantly asking Lore what happened if she asked him to care for Luci. Lore and Fabi run out to look for her. Paz shakes Carmela, they can’t disappear. Carmela has alerted the Hospital Admin. Just then Rod and Claudio arrive while Paz is still in her panic attack. Paz tells Rod that they can’t find Luci or her grandson. Claudio asks where they are. Rod looks at Luci’s empty bed, and he and Claudio/Paz stare at each other.
Meanwhile the baby is found by a drunk street bum… just in time to save him from Gala and RE who came back to the trash cans …
Previews: Julie asks RE and Gala what happened… they say … eh… weeeeeellll… SE gets questioned by hospital security (or police)…
Sorry I did not have a lot of snark because I did not feel very encouraged after Luci’s stoopid decision making…

Refugio Para el Amor #132 Thu 10/11/12 The Plot Thickens and The Moms and Dads are Delayed
Ok, y'all before y'all start reading this recap, I want y'all to take some deep cleansing breaths, inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale, inhallle, exhallle, feeling better? If this doesn't work for you than tell yourself this in only a TN, only a TN. Now on to the recap, you will be yelling at the TV but those cleansing breaths should have helped you. Barrio Clinic:
Luci has just received that text from her Mushashon. Luci smiles like an angel as a lone tear goes down her cheek and she has a little smile on her face.
Torreslanda Home:
Rosa la loca is at home and on the phone to Gagme. She wants to know why Gagme hasn't been picking up the phone and by the way where is she anyways. Gagme tells Rosa la Loca she is at her office, she has a job, doncha know. The Champagne Queen is listening in on the phone convo as she is sitting in Gagme's office. Rosa la Loca wants Gagme to go home to her Apartment of No Love Lost and wait for further news. Gagme wants to know what la loca is planning. Rosa tells her ,she is going to vist Luci at the clinic, and keep up this farce of looking for forgiveness until this is over and of course the la loca is smiling that disdainful royal grin again.
Toronto, Canada
Oh, what have we here? It is a nice scene of tension easing for this capitulo. Anyone had to take more cleansing breaths yet? Anyhoo, Conny and Oscar are having lunch in beautiful Toronto and Conny would like to ask Oscar something. Conny is kinda hemming and hawing and Oscar says he loves when Conny is mysterious. So Conny gets to it and asks Oscar if he misses his ex novia. Conny would really like to know if he has any feelings for said ex novia and that this ex novia may have been better for Oscar than Conny, after all the ex novia was much younger than Conny and Oscar and he could have had children with her. Oscar says that may have been well and good but the road of life took him elsewhere. Oscar tells Conny that being a lawyer is his life's work and he loves it. Conny wants to know if his grand passion in life is his job. Oscar says yes it is. Oscar tells Conny that with his ex it was always a competition, she may have been a lawyer too, he tells Conny all they had in common was work and that's it. Conny asks him again if he misses his ex. Oscar tells her no again. Oscar tells Conny he remembers a better woman in his life, and takes her hand and kisses it, sigh. Conny thanks him and says mi amor, and he asks if he passed the test, lol. Conny tells him he passed with honors. Oscar says ti amo and kisses abound, don't you just love this couple? Conny gets a text from Melissa with the pic of Roddy, jr and Oscar sees it too. Oscar texts Rod and Oscar and Conny are oohing and aaahing over little Roddy.

•Roselena is on the phone telling Gala about the birth of Luci’s son. Such Bad Luck... it’s a maldito niño, born out of wedlock, who will have the Torreslanda name. Gala throws the pillow and screeches, Maldita Domestica (it’s as good as the Estudpidas she used to throw around). She’s royally pithed that she’s going to produce a girl, while La Criada Esa has brought forth a boy. She wants Rose to keep Rod from giving the ‘bastardo’ the Torreslanda last name. Rose says that is something she can’t do—force him not to give the baby his last name. Rodrigo and her family wouldn’t stand for it. Gala, La Fría, says, then we’ll just have to make sure that escuincle disappears from our lives for ever. Rosa, La Reina de Hielo, says, count on it.

The Clinic
Lorenzo, Patricio and Violeta are in Luciana’s room at the clinic. It’s quite spacious for a neighborhood clinic, but ni modo. Luciana is still sleeping off her crisis: the emergency C-section and related complications due to the preeclampsia. Patricio is there with her, as is Lorenzo and Violeta. He thanks Lorenzo for letting him sign as the person responsible for making decisions on Luci’s behalf. Lor says that’s not a problem, he knows how much Pato cares for her. Pato says it was a matter of having so little time to make an important decision on her behalf. Vio vows not to leave Luci’s side for anything. Lorenzo has to go; so does Pato. Vio settles into the couch para vigilarla (to keep watch over her). Luci comes to. She wants to know where her baby is. She starts getting agitated, but Vio calms her down. The baby is safe, in the nursery. Luci can’t see the baby until tomorrow. Luci keeps repeating to no one in particular that she’s the mother of a beautiful boy.
TL House, Patricio’s bedroom
Pato is back in his room at TL House. He’s on the phone checking with the capitán of the corporate jet on the plans to send the plane to Het Het to pick up Paz. The weather is still questionable. Pato wants them here as soon as possible and the capitán is to bring them personally to the clinic.
Shanghai, China Hotel
Rodrigo is pacing the hall outside his hotel room. Claudio joins him and wants to know if there is any news of Luci. Rod says no. Claudio promises they’ll leave as soon as their business is finished. Claudio adds that he’s happy to know his grandson is well, but Luciana’s health has him preoccupied. Rod is sad they are so far away. Claudio agrees; after all their careful planning, life threw them a curve. Rod wants to be close to Luci and his son—if Luci will let him. Claudio promises to talk to her as he doesn’t want the same thing to happen to Rodrigo that happened to him when Luci was born. We can’t forget what my mother did, but please, let’s not talk about that anymore, asks Rodrigo. She is my mother, but every time I think about what she did, a little more of my affection for her dies.
TL House, Master bedroom
Roselena is getting ready for a lunch date with Gala. Max tells her not to temp fate; you’ve gotten everything except Rod’s forgiveness. If you try anything against Luci, your children will never forgive you. She’s in a foul mood. She’s snapping at Max; she’s done everything he’s asked her to do, but nothing, nothing pleases him. Even stalwart loyal Frigida gets hissed at when she comes to tell her mistress that Gala’s waiting for her and where her children are (Jana’s at school and Patricio is going to the clinic to see Luciana). When RE tells her the baby has already arrived and it’s a boy, Frigida starts musing out loud over Luci’s baby boy and oooh, what if Gala has a girl---it would be the end of the world. RE sweeps out. Frigida is left to mull over the facts: bottom line, Luci wins the match.

Refugio Para el Amor #130 Tue 10/9/12 Head For The Shelter, We're In Full Catastrophe Mode Tonight
The worst has happened. Luciana and
the baby are in danger and not only is Rodrigo far away, but Claudio
is also. Here's the Wikipedia explanation of her condition:
Pre-eclampsia or preeclampsia

different causes for the condition. It appears likely that there are

pressure elevation is the most visible sign of the disease, it
involves generalized damage to the maternal endothelium,

factors being secondary to the original damage.Pre-eclampsia may develop from 20 weeks' gestation (it is considered early onset before 32 weeks, which is associated with an increased morbidity). (and her baby with her) after developing this. Her regualr ob-gyn
was away and the doctor fielding his calls did not realize the
gravity of her condition. By the time action was taken, it was too
late.
BARRIO
The group is alerted and head off for
the clinic after explaining to Marianita that she can't go. Serena
will stay with her. Lastra, still skulking around the neighborhood,
calls Ofelia. She tries to blow him off but thankfully, he manages
to tell her that he saw Estellita and another woman putting Luciana
into a taxi. Clearly she was seriously ill. Ofelia heads to the
hospital also.
MANSION
Pato gets the call about Luciana's
condition and he and Jana plan to go to the hospital. Roselena
plasters on a worried face and asks if she can go along. Pato, who's
not fooled for a minute, answers firmly that “You're the last
person that Luciana would want to see.” Roselena turns away and
thought bubbles “Ojalá the baby dies in your womb.”
Send Roselena straight to Hell. Do
not pass Go, do not collect $200.

Refugio Para el Amor #129 Mon 10/8/12 5 Months Later Brings-- 2 Baby Showers, 1 Early Baby, and a Papa and Grandpa 1/2 a World Away
Canada Doc has just told Gala and Rod they are having a
beautiful, healthy baby GIRL! Gala looks like she wants to perform a sex change
operation in utero. She tells the doc he must be mistaken. Rod looks happy for
the first time in weeks. The doctor, trying to appease the ticked off mama,
tells them there is a 10% chance of error, but he’s pretty sure it’s a girl.
Gala latches on to the 10% as being his lack of professionalism, because SHE,
the all-knowing, KNOWS that she’s having a BOY! Rod apologizes for his rude
wife, but the doc politely says they can come back next time to confirm. Nope.
The only way Gala is coming back to this fourth rate doctor’s office, is with
the proof in hand to that he is WRONG! Rod looks like he wants to disappear
into the wall.
Back in Mexico, in Casa TL, Frigida is complaining (what’s
new?) about having to buy a ton of groceries for the ever shrinking TL family.
Matilde tells her it’s normal for children to fly from the nest. Frigida calls
them a bunch of ingrates (bola de ingratos). She brings up Connie as the prime
example. Mati tells her to mind her own business. Speaking of…Connie waltzes
into the kitchen, looking happy and content. She greets Frigida (who does her
best to suck up), kisses Mati, and asks for her sister. (Why would she ruin her
good mood by going to visit that witch?)

Refugio Para el Amor #128 Fri 10/5/12 The separation between the young TL and the young Jacinto's ... physical (forced by circumstances), yet not emotional/sentimental
Sorry recap for tonight is in progress... had to watch the Orioles game, been away from Balt for 6+ yrs (was there for the 96-97 seasons) but still a fan, still feel like i am there... so had to watch the wc game... btw Orioles won!

Rod and Janah with Pato at home tucking him in… Janah worried about Rod. He will come and go, go to OB with Gala… Janah says don’t wait for me to come visit in CAN. Not with such a MODEL SIL. RE comes and asks Rod same questions… yada yada. RE wants them to come often. Rod says Gala might not feel like it. RE says HE is who she wants to see… Janah walks Rod out, still begging him same … keep in touch. Rod assures her you will count on me, even by social web network. Janah asks if he will come for Luci’s baby birth. OF course it is my child. … don’t worry, I will be in touch.
At Het Het Luci and Vio are walking around with Ariche… and they have an unfortunate run-in … none other than Don Aq… (lol Ariche yells ‘Ay Chihuahua!!’)…
Lo Nuevo:
Luci gives limited responses to him, maybe talking to Don Aq is more expensive than sending a telegram… Vio says ‘Adios Papa!’ (of course in an angry tone) to Ariche’s astonishment… Luci confirms Don Aq is Vio’s a’pa!... Ariche: Orale!! Ariche asks Vio if she wants him to keep the secret. Vio tells him heck no! she wants him to tell everyone.
At TL manor, finally! Everyone leaves Pato alone to rest.
Lorenzo calls Janah at house and he has the misfortune to have RE answer the phone. Janah comes and RE gives her the phone. Janah has to be really rude with Lore since she has RE breathing fire on her face. Janah has to hang up and gets creamed by RE and her lectures… those people are ignorant, ‘ladina’ (ordinary?)… RE assures Janah Lore doesn’t know her… Janah has to beg and beg RE not to do anything against Lore.
RE will trust Janah but beware if you let me down. ‘Good night my dear sweet child’
Lore is alone thinking about Janah’s response… ‘I got it, I am not good/big enough for you, don’t worry I won’t look for you again’. Janah crying in her room alone whispering his name… (aaaahhhh teen love)
Rod in his car… fights with cell phone and his will to leave Luci alone… his heart wins… sends Luci a text that makes Luci uncomfortable ‘sorry if I broke my promise but I had to tell you that my heart and thoughts are always with you and with our child’. Luci cannot stop the tears… Vio is sad for Luci and Rod. Luci says ‘he is leaving for CAN’… Vio responds ‘for your love there is no distance, your love is way above all the evil that separated you two’.

RE on phone with Julie… they have to get together to plan their next move… Julie and Gala are on speaker phone so RE is being shot at by both witches…
Vicky at home, door knock. Don Geronimo wants to open door. It is Aldo. She does not want to open the door to Aldo. Dad does not want Aldo to knock all night long. Aldo comes in. small talk.
Don Gero leaves them alone. Vicky is really angry, Aldo keeps asking why she won’t give him the time of day… Vicky doesn’t want any more problems. Aldo insists. Don’t cut me out. (don’t worry Aldo, Max will cut your throat if you insist)… Seems Vicky does feel something for Aldo, she can’t say no, even if she pushes him out the door.
Vio tells Magda what happened and her shouting she is Aquiles’ daughter. Magda does not quite agree with that approach… Vio says why not? We could use the money. It is only fair to get something from him. Magda says he will never recognize her. Vio does not care. She believes Magda. She is sure Aquiles was the first guy in her life. Magda agrees. First and ONLY. (Magda is firm in that statement but does not look proud of it)..
Aquiles remembering the encounter… briefly questions the possibility but then changes his mind… keeps trying to tell himself she is NOT his child.
Magda tells Vio has always fended for herself, don’t need anything from Aquiles. Vio says have savings, does not want to work at an antro anymore and have been talking to Serena to do something together… Paz says she is confused, she thought Serena was a nurse. Vio says she needed a second job. Magda excited for them to do something else… Luci wants to help. Just in time Paz gives her the money Namurachi brought for the work they already delivered. Luci says its lots of money. Gives the check back to Paz to get more materials and to start to help train the other ladies in town.
Procopio arrives running to Aquiles… Aquiles not looking forward to meet any ghost…
Rod arguing with Gala… again about the ‘criada esa’… Rod with same statement ‘we got married for the future of the child, not for love’… Gala invites him to meet with Julie and RE… Rod says can’t go.. besides, you three get along better without me. Leaves.
Gala happy he is not coming, they will decide the future of Luci and her ‘criadito’ (mini criado/a) jajaja.
Vio not sure when returning to the capital. Want to stay a few days more with mama. Vio is trying to get used to the quiet and inactivity of Het Het, was already used to the busy noisy city. Luci brings up again that Rod is going to Canada. Vio reminds Luci that Doctor said Rod wants Gala’s baby to be born in Mex City… Gala is so anxious to have a boy… what better divine justice than for her to have a baby girl… for Gala having a girl would be a curse. (I like Vio’s voice of conscience role… short and to the point… )
Procopio and Aquiles are sitting out on street (don’t know how Procopio got to convince Aquiles to play Ghostbusters for a night.. LOL) Procopio wants to take off back to Funeral home. Aquiles won’t let him leave. The one leaving is Aquiles. Baboso!!
Procopio is scared, begins hearing a ghost laughing… About to p in his p… looks around behind him… suddenly begins to jump scared… the ghost is suddenly unmasked by Aquiles… ‘TU???”
Luci says she wants her baby to look like Mushashon… Vio says ‘what about like you?’.. Luci can’t help but smile when she thinks of the baby..
In bed, Rod also thinking of the baby and wanting it to look like Luci…
Gala again with pains comes out to living room… this time she might not be faking it. Yeah this does not look like a scripted skid…. Never mind, when Rod is frenetically looking for Dr phone number, she turns around and smiles… so it is fake again…
RE and Max in their favorite argument set… the bedroom… Max says Rod wants to stay to live in CAN. RE says will sacrifice not seeing Rod as long as he won’t be near Luci. Let him make a family ‘como Dios Manda’ (as God wishes). …
Rod puts DR on phone with Gala. Pains come and go… Rod nervously asks Dr if this is dangerous. Put hot compresses on her, and if she keeps feeling bad, call me again. Gala does not want to lose the baby. He carries her to bed, she enjoys the ‘ride’.
He is so nervous he falls right in her trap to ‘stay with her again’. Rod says in this condition I can’t take you to CAN. Gala says want to go with him anyway. Rod says if Dr does not authorize then she won’t go. He leaves room… she smiles again…. (would someone please slap the heck out of Rod for falling on the same pothole three times??)
The ghost at Het Het turned out to be the ‘new’ Teofilo. Aquiles mad. Teo says it was not to scare you. Did not mean harm. Wanted to scare Procopio so he would leave the Funeral Home job. Then Procopio would return with Aquiles. Aquiles jumps on the wagon. Go on scare Procopio… leaves after gets a final laugh at the plan…
Paz and Magda show Luci the stitch work they have done for baby sheets and blankets. Luci is moved. Vio says when you see the ‘moises’ (baby bassinet) you will love it…
Luci cares that everything they are giving the baby is from the heart… Paz says they will always be thankful to Estelita for watching over their children… Luci says what about asking Estelita to rent Lore and Fabian a place in her building. She wants them to have a place of their own. Vio wants to go back to walk around town again. Lets all go.
Door knock. Paz thinks it is Ariche, but it is Namurachi again. She came to tell Luci that a hotel chain owner wants to hire Luci to make pots/ceramics to decorate his hotels overseas. They all get really excited. Also Luci is about to get recognized internationally for her talents.
At TL offices, they are all meeting. Rod is talking about a new company wanting to deal with them, a company interested in non-stop flights between the orient and mex. Max is not in agreement it is the right move. He puts Claudio on the spot again… but Claudio seems to support Rod. Seems when the company started, Claudio was interested in airline business. Max wants to take the credit for the success to date and engages in a table end to table end match… Pato and Oscar jump in and tries to calm the fires. Claudio encourages Rod and says the board will meet via video conf with you at CAN.
Gala and RE are meeting at backyard of RE manor. Gala tells RE about her new false alarm staging… RE says don’t overuse that. strategy, when it becomes real Rod won’t pay attention (Peter and the wolf syndrome). Gala says once we are in CAN I won’t need to use it. Julie asks when they will return. Gala says need to get to an agreement about the ‘escuincle ese de la domestica’. RE says don’t worry I will take care of keeping close to Luci. Julie says you better, don’t want to think what will happen if Luci has a baby boy.
Gala says then I will have a boy too. Julie says that won’t solve the issue, the first is Luci’s. RE announces the solution is to make Luci’s baby disappear. (ay noooooo!!! Quick!! Put a lo-jack chip on that baby!!) (Julie and Gala smile knowing they pulled the right strings to get RE to make the decision they wanted)
Luci, Vio, Magda, Paz and Ariche are walking around outdoors… Look at the sky!! Vio says life here is too calm and peaceful, I like more action… besides, when will I get married?...
Ariche asks Luci when the baby will be born.. six months.. Ariche thinks it is a long time.
Vio tells Magda she always knew she had to come back someday. Came to see everyone, especially Magda. Feel the need/duty to be near her… Magda says don’t come for duty, just cause you want to see me… always. Been busy with NFERNO and did not want to lose the job and did not want you to find out. Paz asks how did you end up there? Fate… and look where I came to meet up with my father… (look who jumps to their faces again!! Aquiles in the flesh!! … Luci, Paz and Ariche make their quick exit. And again we have Magda an Vio arguing with him about Vio’s paternity. He won’t take the responsibility… leaves in a huff with his signature ‘ERRIA!!” Vio says Magda gave her all she needed to live. Don’t need anything else (For crying out loud!... would you please make up your mind, girl??)
Rod comes to Claudio’s office… came to talk to him not as associate, but as father of your soon to be grandchild. He promised Luci he would not be stalking her, but he wants to know how she is doing and how the baby is doing. Can I be in contact with you for that? Of course, I would never block contact between my grandchild and his/her father. Rod is thankful. He wants to make sure his child will be well. Claudio assures him it will.
Pato in rehab therapy session. Pato is in a hurry to get his arms moving. In 6 mos Luci will have her baby and he wants to be first to hug/hold that baby.
At Estelita’s… they need paper. Ofelia runs out to get some. Serena offers her help at least until she and VIo find jobs. She needs another job, the hospital job is not enough.
Estelita insists she is better off staying away from NFERNO.
Ofelia runs into Lastra, who is playing a guy who hands out flyers… he tells her ‘there is a message here for you’. ‘Police is looking for me, have to leave the country. As soon as I can I will look for you. I love you. Lastra’.
At Het Het Luci and Paz are working on the pots. Luci wants to work through the night. Paz won’t let her. Luci tells Paz she has been thinking and she would rather come back to the capital sooner rather than wait 6 mos. She wants to work on the baby room in the apartment. Paz offers to come but Luci asks her to help get the pot work moving. Paz tearfully says she will try to help. Luci tells Paz Rod is leaving for CAN, and he does not seem to be planning to come back anytime soon.
At CAN airport, Rod and Gala arrived. Rod tells Gala they will be here 5 months at least. Gala can’t wait to make an apt with a OB who will tell her right away that their baby is a boy. Rod assures her if it is a girl he will adore her. Gala says don’t worry, IT WILL BE A BOY. Rod rolls his eyes…
A day or two later, Gala is at a OB having an Ultrasound (not sure how long it has been, baby seems much bigger than 3 mos gestation). Very healthy. Gala insists in finding out if it is a boy. Rod only cares that it is healthy, baby and mother. Doctor announces /it is a GIRL!! ES UNA NINA!! UNA NINA!!’ … Gala can’t hide her disappointment/anger. Rod smiles..

Monday: time passes (baby bumps are ripe!!) Apparently Luci is having a shower… Luci is holding hands with Pato… and Rod shows up. Vio invites him to come in…
