Zorro theme "Amor Gitano" translation

For all the Zorro fans, here are the lyrics and translation to the Zorro title song. I copied it from a website, so don't think I actually wrote the syllables.

AMOR GITANO
Alejandro Fernandez & Beyoncé

Alejandro:
Aaaaiii!!!!
Aaaaiii!!!!
Gitanaaa!!!
Gypsyyy!!!

Beyoncé :
Ooooo...
Ooooo...
Ven y quédate conmigo, Dame el corazón
Come and stay with me, Give me your heart
Vida mía estoy muriendo lento en mi prisión
My love I am dying slowly in my prison*

Alejandro:
Anda dime lo que sientes, Quítate el pudor
Come on tell me what you’re feeling, take off the modesty
Y deja de sufrir de capa con mi amor
And stop the masked suffering with my love
Después te llevaré hasta a donde quieras
Afterwards I will take you wherever you want
Sin temor y sin fronteras, Hasta donde sale el sol
Without fear or barriers, to where the sun rises

Beyoncé :
uuuu...
uuuu...
Contigo soy capaz de lo que sea
With you I capable of anything
No me importa lo que venga, porque ya sé a dónde voy
I don’t care what comes, beause I know where I’m going

Chours:
Alejandro:
Soy tu gitano tu peregrino
I am your gypsy**
La única llave de tu destino
The only key to your destiny
El que te cuida más que a su vida
The one who takes care of you more than himself
Soy tu ladrón...
I am your thief

Beyoncé :
Soy tu gitana tu compañera
I am your gypsy, your companion
La que te sigue
The one that follows you
La que te espera
The one who waits for you
Voy a quererte aunque me saquen el corazón
I am going to love you even if they take away my heart***

Beyoncé ft Alejandro:
Y aunque nos cueste la vida
And even if it costs our lives
Y aunque duela lo que duela
And even if it hurts
Esta guerra la ha ganado
This war was won by
Nuestro amor...
Our love

Beyoncé :
Yo nací para tus ojos, para nadie más
I was born for your eyes, for no one else
Siempre voy a estar en tu camino
I will always be in your path

Alejandro:
Alma de mi alma, corazón de tempestad
Soul of my soul, stormy heart
Dime por dónde ir
Tell me where to go
Después te llevaré donde quieras
And I will take you wherever you want
Sin temor y sin fronteras
Without fear or barriers
Hasta donde sale el sol
To where the sun rises

Beyoncé :
Contigo soy capaz de lo que sea
With you I capable of anything
No me importa lo que venga
I don’t care what comes
Porque ya sé a donde voy
Because I know where I’m going

Repeat chorus

*vida mia=my life, but love sounds better here
**peregrina & gitano = gypsy
***saquen el corazón = take out/remove my heart, it sounds too gross hence take away

Duelo de Pasiones, Thursday March 15 - Don Loco goes (even more) loco

Emilio told Luba that Thelma hadn't lost the baby. Luba felt stupid for having believed that she-wolf Thelma.

At home, Emilio asked Thelma why she had lied to Luba, but Thelma pretended not to know what he was talking about.

Marianita had a medical crisis while her mother was travelling to Sierra Escondida to see Alvaro. Dr. Love told Malena, "Her pulse is weak," and admitted that Marianita was terminally ill. They rushed her to the hospital, where Juanito later came to visit her.

Jose and Arcadio headed home for Mexico. Jose said he intended to tell Mariana everything that had happened while he was away.

Later some men who were following Jose (apparently police officers) commented that the authorities in Mexico would be waiting for him.

Santos told his mother that he wanted to forget Rosita, but later he changed his mind and said he still loved Rosita and would go back and beg her forgiveness.

Meanwhile, Rosita said to herself, "Santos, now I've lost you forever. I can never tell you that your own father abused me."

Alina and Soledad hung around inside the church without any apparent fear that someone would see them. Soledad advised Alina to forget Emilio and start a new life. Alina insisted that Emilio was a good man, so Soledad asked Father Cristobal to tell Emilio they needed his help.

Elias cried and blamed himself for not forgetting Soledad during his marriage to Blanca. His co-worker (don't know his name) said he should seek spiritual help.

So Elias went to the church, where he found Soledad and Alina. He told them Blanca died of a heart attack and Alvaro wasn't involved, saying, "Alvaro is loco, but not a killer." He told them he would arrange their escape from Sierra Escondida.

Adela told Alvaro (aka Don Loco) she was preparing a room for Mariana, whose arrival was expected. Don Loco said, "Listen well, Adela. My sister can't find out what's happening here." He said he would pull out the tongue of anyone who revealed the truth to Mariana.

Father Cristobal visited Emilio and said, in front of Thelma, "You and I have to talk. I bring news of Alina." But he said first Emilio would have to convince him that he could be trusted. Just then Vera told Thelma that Don Loco was there, furious and insisting on talking to Emilio.

Thelma went outside and Don Loco told her that Emilio was trying to help Alina. Thelma said, "You're not the only one who opposes what he's doing." She said if Emilio brought Alina to the house, Thelma would make her work as a maid. She added, "At this moment Padre Cristobal is telling Emilio where to find Alina."

Alvaro stormed inside and confronted Father Cristobal, who was forced to claim that Soledad and Alina had already left for Puebla.

Outside the house, Alvaro yelled at Cristobal some more for going to Emilio instead of him, saying, "You're wrong if you think the little captain has good intentions!" He said Emilio wanted Alina to become his maid.

Cristobal, of course, chose to believe this, telling himself, "Now I can't trust Emilio." He went back to the church and at first refused to tell Alina anything except that she should forget Emilio. Finally he told her that Emilio wanted her to be his maid.

In a flashback, Luba remembered telling Gaspar's long-haired father (also named Gaspar) that she was pregnant. Then she remembered Gaspar Sr. lying on his deathbed while Luba and the adult Gaspar Jr. begged him not to die. Gaspar Sr. said, "Forgive me, please," and croaked. Gaspar asked his mother, "What are we going to do?" and Luba said, "Have strength. We are together."

As Luba was remembering this, Gaspar returned to the cave and asked , "Have you seen my munequita, Mami?"

Luba told him that Thelma was upset about losing the baby, so they couldn't go back to the hacienda because if Thelma's husband knew the truth he'd kill Gaspar. Then she asked her picture of the Virgin Mary why she had to lie to Gaspar about Thelma losing the baby.

Don Loco sent Sergio to Puebla to look for Soledad and Alina, but Sergio of course had no luck. Don Loco berated him, "How can it be that you can't find them?" Sergio said no one there had seen them.

Alvaro started trashing his house, tossing over furniture and breaking things, shouting, "Soledad and that damn foreman are together! Where are you? Where are you? I'm going to find you! Soledad! Soledad!" Not only did he look more completely loco than ever, he also looked as if he were on the verge of having a heart attack.

Apparently the servants went for help, because hairy psychiatrist Dr. Z showed up and told Don Loco, who was staring into space with a crazed look on his face, "Calm down, calm down. Everything will be OK."

Meanwhile, in Maximo's office: Maximo asked Braulio why Rosita was angry at him. Braulio said, "My poor daughter has been raped, and the truth is she thinks it was you."

Maximo very angrily denied it, saying Rosita couldn't prove anything because he didn't do anything, and if she accused him people would talk about her.

I think(?) he finished up by saying the only reason he didn't kick Braulio out ("si no te corro a patadas") was that he still liked Rosita, even though she was used. "Now get out!" He pulled his gun on Braulio, who left.

Mariana arrived at Don Loco's hacienda and was greeted by Adela, who said Soledad and Alina were "on a trip" and Alvaro was in his room with a doctor.

Mariana said, "I'm going to reveal a secret to Alvaro that I have kept for years." Adela warned her that it wasn't a good time, but Mariana went to see Alvaro.

She found Don Loco in bed. Before leaving, Dr. Z told her that he'd given Alvaro a sedative and she should let him sleep. He said Alvaro had suffered an emotional crisis, and it was important not to upset him.

After Dr. Z left, Don Loco asked, "Why have you come, Mariana?" and told her to go back to Mexico City. What a loving brother. She asked what was wrong and Alvaro said he was a little depressed.

Mariana decided she couldn't tell him that she had a daughter with Jose Gomez. She told Adela she would return immediately to Mexico City.

Alina fretted about Emilio's supposed plan to turn her into a maid. She told Soledad she had nothing against working as a maid, but she couldn't accept Emilio giving her orders.

Later Jeremias (the drunk old pervert) saw Stupid Alina hanging around outside the church (DUH, ALINA!) She ran inside and he wondered how much money Alvaro would give him for revealing where Alina was.

Emilio told Angel that he'd offered to help Alina but she didn't accept. Later Nurse Susi heard Angel say in his sleep, "Alina, Flor." She woke him up and told him he was having a nightmare. Angel said, "No, it was a beautiful dream." Poor Nurse Susi.

Braulio told Rosita he thought Maximo was the one who raped her. "Turn him in, he has to pay for what he did!" Rosita said, "He deserves much more than jail."

Alina had a nightmare in which she was Emilio's maid and he barked orders at her, saying, "To you I am not Emilio, I am your boss, understand me?"

Orlando caught Thelma kissing Castulo in the garden and asked her, "What are you doing?"

At the end of the episode, Maximo was outside lighting a cigar when someone came up behind him and started to strangle him with a cord.

Words from this episode:
lengua = tongue
loba = she-wolf
tranquilo = calm
usada = used
deprimido = depressed

Duelo de Pasiones - Wed March 14 - Maldita Faja! Damn Girdle!

Intro by Sylvia: Emilio says, "So, Don Alvaro, we meet again." He says he is there for the same reason as Don Loco, to find Alina and Soledad. Don Loco demands, "Why are you involving yourself with my family?" "Your family?" snaps Emilio, "I thought Alina wasn't your daughter!" (Points to Emilio for that one.) "OK, she's not," admits Loco, but I still want you to stay out of my business." "How are you going to stop me?" challenges Emilio, "are you going to shoot me again?"Don Loco doesn't look impactado, but he does look royally PO'd.

Wednesdays episode by Lynn: Sylvia was right. Don Loc was pissed. He warns Emilio to keep his distance from Alina and his wife. Emilio warns Loco that he is not the law, the real law reaches far and wide. Loco is undeterred. He spouts off a few more warnings ending with “You will regret this!” with a final “Don’t follow us!” tagged at the end. Emilio promptly ignores Alvaro’s words and takes off talking to himself that he is going to save Alina.

Everyone is crying at Ruitilios funeral. Braulio, with his arm around Rosita, talks to himself how the jerk who did this will pay….. Ingenio arrives late to the funeral claiming he has just heard the news. Rosita goes off into her mind with memories that make her certain that it was Max who raped her. (Personally I don’t think he did it. I think Max’s size is our clue that he didn’t do it. He is a lot heavier than the guy we saw attacking her.)

Donky barks. Emilio shows the dog the animal hide and asks Tonqui/Donkey/little blood hound doggie to follow the sent.

Pancho and Tula are alone together in their hut. Tula asks what he plans on doing with the women after they get the lana ( money). Pancho tells her to mind her own business. Tula tries another conversation route. She wants to know why he treats her so bad. Pancho answers her by whacking her face with a backhanded slap and by throwing her onto the bed with her hair. Tula sits stunned with blood rolling down her face. She eyes a rifle in a corner. She grabs it, cocks it and points it at a well deserving Pancho. He taunts “Are you going to kill me idiot? You don’t have the courage to do that. Come here!” Tula fires the gun. Pancho falls to the dirt floor dead. Tula starts to mentally crumble, crying hard.

Don Loco, Sergio, and the other bad guy follow the sound of the gunshot.

Tula goes into the shack where Alina and Soledad are tied up. She is brandishing a knife as she cries. Soledad screams “Don’t hurt us! Don’t hurt us!” Tula cuts the ropes off their wrists and feet. She shows them a door and tells them to escape.

The good doctor Vasquez and Nurse Suzy talk over Angels sleeping body. The good doctor has given Angel some antibiotics and he is doing better. The good doctor turns his attention to Nurse Suzy. He has noticed that Suzy has feelings for Angel. She pretends she doesn’t like him like that.

Tula meets Don Loco plus others outside and tells them that the women have escaped. Loco goes into the shack where the women were and starts throwing things around, cursing. He comes out of the shack mad that Soledad has gotten away. He chokes and then he punches the remaining bad guy blaming him for Soledad’s escape. The guy pleads for pity but Loco has none to share. Sergio wants to know if he should shoot the guy but Alvaro tells him not to bother. They ride off leaving the bad guy lying on the ground.

Tonqui/Donkey/sweet littel doggie runs off as Emilio sees the shack and dismounts to enter. Emilio first goes to the bad guy who is lying on the ground and helps him up.

Alina and Soledad run behind the shacks and hide in some weeds that don’t even cover them. Tonqui/Donkey/tired of running doggie sits down next to them as they crouch hiding from Loco and Sergio. (Man Soledads highlights look great. Adela is one heck of a colorist.) Loco and Sergio ride up near to where the women are. They see nothing and decide to head for town instead. After they leave Alina and Soledad get up and take off running.

Emilio asks Tula where are the girls. Tula is a mess, crying and in shock. She tells Emilio that she shot Pancho. The other bad guy wants the police to come and arrest Tula for murder. Emilio tells him to forget it, its obvious she has been beaten and did it in self defense. He tells Tula to remember to tell the cops she acted in self defense when they come. Emilio gets up to leave as the remaining bad guy looks evilly at Tula. Emilio gets back on his horse, talking to himself that Alina doesn’t want to have anything to do with him.

Thelma has Vera tighten her girdle (faja). She curses her pregnancy as Vera struggles with pulling the girdle tight enough for Thelma’s liking. Thelma doesn't want her pregnancy to show.

The Sing Aunt has gone out into the forest to find Gaspar chopping wood. She tells him that Thelma was sick and she lost their child. He needs to forget Thelma. Little does she know but Luba is listening in on their conversation from behind some bushes. Gaspar meanwhile is devastated to hear what Singing Aunt has to say. After she leaves he kicks the wood upset that Thelma lost his child. Luba comes out of her hiding space to comfort him. She tells him its best that she lost the child. He can have kids with Nora…..

Alina and Soledad exit the forest to see a church. Marianna arrives in Veracruz.
Marina (the cousin of Marianna?) receives a note that has arrived at their apartment for Marianna. She wonders to herself who could have sent it? She opens the note and sees that it is from Jose. “After all this time! When Marianna is preparing for her wedding!” she complains to herself. The cousin rips up the letter. The freaky doctor with the bow tie comes into the room with Marianita on his shoulders. Marianita wants to know who sent the letter. The cousin tells them it was just an advertisement, nothing more, as she throws the note in the trash.

Rosita talks to herself looking very Frieda Khalo like. She knows who raped her. It was Max! Braulio comes into the room and tries to comfort her. He wants to send for Santos. He knows Santos still loves her. Rosita doesn’t want to see Santos ever again. She doesn’t want anyone to know what happened!

Patricia, the town slut, hits on Santos. She forces him to kiss her. He breaks the kiss telling her he doesn’t want to date anyone right now. She throws a fit and tells him to stop thinking about that girl. Santos thinks to himself “if only it was that easy.”

Thelma, Singing Aunt and Orlando talk about were Emilio could be. Emilio enters the room as they stand to celebrate his return. Emilio ignores Thelma’s false concern. In retaliation Thelma snaps that while Emilio has been out hunting that girl his brother has been here dying! Emilio is impactado.

The good doctor tells Emilio he is going into town to get more medicine. (Doesn’t he have the right stuff for Angel yet!) He tells Emilio that Angel is better but he has to be more careful about temperature changes from now on. Emilio talks to the sleeping Angel after the doctor leaves. He calls Angel stubborn for staying out in the cold. Angel, in turn, calls out Alina’s name.

Marianna goes to visit Hugo. Alfonsia stays in the background pretending to clean as she listens to their conversation. Marianna explains to Hugo that she wants to invite her family to her wedding. She wants them all to be there, plus she misses Soledad and Alina. Hugo tries to stall but ends up agreeing to take her to Sierra Escondida tomorrow. Alfonsia has a flash back about what she did with the letter. The idea of her past misdeeds coming to light fills her with dread. The Patron will kill her if her finds out! She runs to Hugo after Marinanna leaves pleading that they cant let Marinanna go to Sierra Escondida. Hugo decides to send a telegram advising Loco of the situation first.

The priest asks Alina and Soledad what are they doing at his church?

Emilio confronts Orlando. He wants to know why Orlando didn’t return for him.

The priest offers Alina and Soledad his church as a refuge. He believes in their innocence and understand their need to hide from Loco.

Orlando pretends that he never heard Emilio’s gun shots for help. Emilio doesn’t know what to think and questions Orlando again. Orlando, insulted, claims he is telling the truth. Emilio tells Orlando he doesn’t know what to think, so he tells Orlando he needs to be alone. Orlando thinks to himself that Emilio is lucky. He should have died!

Gaspar whines to Luba how he wanted to have a child. Luba pets his hair telling him that is for the better this way. Gaspar denies this saying “It isn’t better that my munequita lost my child.” Wha!

The Singing Aunt fills Thelma in on how she tricked Gaspar with the story of her loosing the pregnancy. Thelma is happy to hear the news but quickly changes the subject to how uncomfortable she is wearing the girdle. Its too tight! The aunt tells her that she doesn’t even look pregnant. She should just wear the girdle when she is out and take it off at home so she can be more comfortable. They switch the conversation back to Gaspar as Thelma grimaces in discomfort. Thelma has to convince Emilio to leave so they dont have to see Gaspar ever again.

The priest shows Alina and Soledad a small room for them to stay in. He tells them that he realizes this is not a lot but he is doing what he can. He is looking for someone to help them get out of town. Unfortunately everyone is afraid of Alvaro.

Emilio looks at the heart necklace he gave Alina long ago. He is in his nighties ready for bed when Thelma comes in. She pretends to be interested in what he was doing on his search for Alina. He distrusts her. She changes the subject and starts her campaign of lets move to Puebla. She tells him that he “could leave his work to Orlando and there are better doctors for Angel.” Emilio thinks Dr. Vasquez is good enough but he will think it over. She leaves Emilio alone and his thoughts start to drift to Alina. He thinks to himself how everyone needs him, Alina, his child, Angel, Thelma, blah blah blah, but all he can do is think about Alina. Everything would have been different had they married. Woes me.

Gaspar whines to Nora that his munequita lost his child. Nora tells him not to worry. They can have lots of kids together. She grabs his hand and leads him away. He giggles as he follows her.

Alina and Soledad talk over who could help them. Elias is mentioned but Soledad thinks he will still be in mourning for Blanca. Alina wonders if her father had something to do with Blanca’s death.

Loco goes into Soledad’s dark empty bedroom. He sees her with Jose in his mind. He gets upset and points his handgun at the lovers. Then he realizes it is just an empty bed. He wonders to himself if he is going crazy. He shouts “Soledad why cant I stop loving you! I’m going to find you because you are mine. You belong to me!”

Thelma and Orlando discuss plans. Orlando likes Thelma’s idea of getting Emilio to leave. He could be in charge of the work project and then he could win over Alina! Orlando believes he can save Alina from Loco. Thelma laughs at him as they chat together and then she calls him an idiot after he leaves. She picks up his half empty glass of whiskey and downs what is left.

Emilio has a dream about marrying Alina. He dreams they are in the clouds all dressed in white. He kisses her with a large open mouth. Their tongues touch. They are two large open mouth bass. He wakes from his dream and sits up in bed to call out Alina!

Alina, in her bed at the church, dreams of Emilio.

Orlando goes to the Meson to chat with Coral. They sit at a table to talk. Orlando wants to know if she knows anything about Alina. Coral wants to know about Emilio. Neither has the information the other wants. Coral eyes Orlando suspiciously.

Marianna tells her cousin by phone that she is ready to tell Loco she has a child with Jose the crew chief.

Soledad and Alina pray to the Virgencita for help.

The priest scours the countryside looking for someone to help the women. Everyone he asks declines.

Thelma complains to the Singing Aunt some more about her tight girdle and her pregnancy as they walk outside. She is a natural earth mother that one. Thelma tells her aunt how she is going to convince Emilio to leave for Puebla. The aunt inquires how Angel is doing to which Thelma quips that Angel is better but he "has more lives than a cat." She goes on the say that "He would be better off dead." Gaspar pops out of one of the rows of plants spooking the women.

Emilio talks with Angel, who is pasty white from his near brush with death. Angel wants Emilio to continue looking for Alina. Emilio intends to do just that.

The Singing Aunt tells Gaspar to just "look at Thelma. She doesn’t even have a tummy. She is not pregnant! Just look at her!" Gaspar thinks they might be deceiving him. Thelma denies this and questions Gaspar why he is looking for her. Does he want to hurt her? Gaspar tells her he doesnt want to hurt her but he is sad. He slowly disappears into the bushes saying over and over that he is sad. Thelma calls him an idiot.

Some new guy tells Alvaro that Ruitilio is dead. Alvaro doesn’t much care. He tells the new man to rule over the workers with a hard hand. Adela comes in as the new guy is leaving. She is bearing a telegram for Loco. She asks him if it is bad news? He reads it out loud. Adela gets excited to hear that Marinna plans to come to Sierra Escondida. Adela excuses herself to prepare Mariannas room. Loco tells himself that Marianna can't come, he doesn't want her to find out about anything ….

Rosita is in a field talking to a worker asking if anyone has heard of Alina. No one has. Max rides up and heckles Rosita. “Rosita! How great that you didnt go to town! Hey Hey Hey!” Rosita screams that he is the most despicable of men!

Thelma gets some more help in fixing her girdle before she gets in bed to fake being ill for a visitor. The visitor is Luba. Luba enters the room staring at the two women. She wants to know if it is true that Thelma lost the child. Thelma pretends that she has been very sick, suffering and has lost the child. Luba appears to be buying the news. She admits that Gaspar is not right in the head. She will make sure Gaspar does not bother Thelma anymore. Thelma is encouraged to hear Lubas words. She takes the opportunity to ask for more help. She wants Luba to make sure that Gaspar doesn’t say anything to Emilio; so Emilio doesn’t learn about Gaspars fantasies about the child. Thelma gives some coughs like Angel just to show how ill she is. Luba agrees to help keep things quiet. She leaves but not before she stares at Thelma and the Singing Aunt real hard.

Max is shocked that Rosita has yelled at him. He asks why she is talking to him like that. He sounds hurt and confused. Rosita is screaming some things about how Max will pay for what he did when she gets interrupted by the arrival of Ingenio. Ingenio has come to tell Max about a broken machine. They ride off to check it out.

Sergio grabs a bite to eat at Santos mothers snack shack. He shares a little gossip which leads to Santos asking how Rosita is doing. Sergio tells Santos that he will tell him what he knows for a few pesos.

Emilio rides over to Loco Montellanos place. He wants to know if Alina is there. The men share the same old words of stay out of my business, you will regret this, blah blah blah.

The priest tells Alina and Soledad that no one will come to their aide. The women brainstorm on who they can ask for help. Hmm I wonder? Soledad asks “Do you think Elias would help?” Alina asks “Do you think Emilio would help?”

Emilio rides over to Lubas cave asking if she knows how Alina is doing and where she is. Luba tells him she does not know. Emilio accuses her of lying which sets Luba off. She insists she never lies. She feels bad for snapping and decides to make nice. She stops Emilio from leaving saying she "hurts a lot for what has happened to his wife." Emilio stops mid track to ask “What happened?” Luba explains “She looks like she is suffering a lot.... For the child (criatura) she lost.” Emilio is impactado.

Mundo 3/14 -- A death, a Lead and a Warning

Miriam and Joz figure there are only a couple places MA coulda gone… Gabes apartment or Candy pad…

Meanwhile, Damian has discovered Tib in the mansion. He’s come back to grab his passport but Dam is having none of it. He demands that Tib obey him and return to the office. Tib refuses and they wrestle for the passport. Dam exclaims that he’s not going anywhere and rips the passport to shreds. Tib freaks out, the passport is his only way to get away! Dam says, “Was.” He again says Tib is going to obey him and return to the office and slaps him. Tib asks why he treats him this say, why he never loved him like he did JC. Dam replies it’s because he’s not a child from Regina, the woman he loves. Tib tries reason, Tib replies, “I’m not at fault, I didn’t choose to be born, I didn’t choose my mother. The saddest is that, besides everything, I didn’t stop trying to force you to care for me.” Dam answers that it’s too late and he’ll never get his affection, to him Tib means nothing. Tib replies with the most repeated line in novelas (besides “te odio,” of course): “te vas a repentir…” you are going to be sorry for your words. Tib goes on to foretell that one day he (Dam) “will discover with great gravity that he (Tib) was his only salvation.” Tib looks him up and down several times in disgust and leaves. Half heartedly, Dam yells for him.

At Gabe’s apartment the doorbell is going off. Gabe half asleep answers it… it’s Joz, freaking out. She’s come to beg him not to take away the baby and, she half asks/half accuses him of wanting MA, when she returns, to bring the baby up as hers. He kicks her out but not before she lets him know she’s taking the matter to the judge.

At Candy’s Leo cookin’ up a midnight snack when there’s a knock at the door… he opens it and it’s Miriam. She’s come back to fix her mistake of how she spoke to him the last time they met. Leo is shocked and offers her a seat at the table. She wants things to be the same as they were before he found out the truth. She says also that she doesn’t want some ill feeling between them and brings up how MA didn’t love him back, the way he wanted, but they have a friendship now, nonetheless. Maybe it could be the same between them. He asks to be closer with Joz. Mir says she’ll talk to her and she’s sure she won’t refuse him… then thanks him for listening and leaves. He’s a little impactado.

Everyone’s up tonight… even Silvestre wakes up… of course to find that Elsa is no where to be found. She’s just getting out of bed at Mastin’s bachelor pad. It looks just like Coyote’s old place.

Joz and Mir return to the mansion. Mir reports that she and Leo spoke for a good minute and he didn’t mention anything about MA coming back. They agree that they have to be on the lookout. Joz asks about her conversation with Leo… she says they will be cordial toward each other and that Joz has to fake being interested in getting to know him a little. She says it benefits them at this point in time to have Leo on their side.

Leo is deep in thought when Candy wakes and makes her way into the kitchen. He tells her Mir came for a visit. He wants to help Joz who has never had love and all that.

Mir thinks to herself she shouldn’t have gone to see Leo but she had to do it to find out about MA. She admits to herself she feels something for Leo but grumbles about her maternal instincts saying she has to control herself.

Meanwhile Elsa is sneaking back into her apartment and finds Silvestre MIA. She climbs into bed with her jacket and shoes on. He comes into the room and grabs her accusing her of using drugs. He goes ballistic and starts screaming that he’s had it and she should leave him. Elsa does the complete opposite of what I would have thought, I mean, she hates him, I figured she’d say ok and get up and leave but no, she grabs for him and says “no, no you’re my only hope…” (!!!)

Candy tells Doll that MA’s come back. They chat about Leo and then Doll tells her that Joz admitted to being the murderer of her brother, Edgar. Candy is shocked!

Joz tells Mir that she is meeting with Coyote to end “this” whole thing for once and for all… Mir advices that they need to get rid of any evidence that would lead back to them… they eye each other as only evil fieras can…

MA and Leo are at the police station to report her kidnapping, finally. She says she never saw her kidnappers face and can’t really tell them anything… then leaves. So much for that.

JC and Pau have reached what must be the address of her birth mother… JC says soon she will be face to face with her birth mother, “is she ready?” he asks. She smiles.

Meanwhile, Joz has driven Coyote to a remote park like setting. He hops out of her red convertible, walks a little ways from it and asks what they’re doing there. She says they have one last detail to finish, his life… and point a gun at him.

In Gabes apartment he’s noticed that Candy had tried to call him on his cell the night before… he calls her back. She tells him she has great news… MA’s back!

Coyote backs up and falls onto a pile of leaves crying “don’t kill me.” She looks sad and says fine, she’ll give him another opportunity. She hops in her convertible… he starts to run away over the pile of leaves and she points her gun evilly (and in slow motion) shoots him first in the butt(???), then, as he falls and turns around crying, she shoots him in the heart. She smiles evilly as he falls back into the pile and dies.

JC and Paul approach a woman who is coming out of the building her birth mom supposedly lives in. They ask for Teresa Bermudez (apparently the name of her birth mom)… she asks who they are and Pau says she’s her daughter. (To me that just seems too indiscreet… I mean, what if her birth mom didn’t want anyone to know, geesh.) The woman says that’s not possible, TB never had children… they tell her Pau was given up for adoption when she was newborn… the lady sighs and lets them in saying she has a lot to tell them about TB.

Candy and Doll take little LD to the park so MA and Gabe can be alone.

Meanwhile, Joz pushes Coyotes body over a small embankment.

Back at Candy’s, MA and Gabe are reunited… They gaze at each other lovingly as Gabe repeats “My MA, My MA!” They hug, reaffirm their love for each other and Gabe says they’re gonna forget all the horrible things that have happened. – You know, something just occurred to me… you know how the media loves to combine names of celebs, ie. Benifer, and TomKat… well I have the perfect name for this pair… Gama… OK, so Gama starts lip locking…. (yuk)

Pau and JC come out of the gate they just went in… apparently Pau’s birth grandparents were very strict with her birth mom and when they died her birth mom was left alone… Pau deduces that must be the reason she was given up for adoption… Then JC wonders why she (the birth mom) became a nun, hmmm now we know she’s a nun… Pau says maybe Doll knows someone who can help them… JC nods.

Gama has separated momentarily and Gabe is with Leo at the police station thanking him for accompanying MA to report her kidnapping. They chat for a minute and Gabe lets on that he’s having trouble with Joz… Wide eyed Leo informs him that Joz is his sister… Gabe is sorprendido… Gabe tells Leo that Joz confessed to Karen that she killed her first husband, Edgar. Leo looks sick.

At the mansion, Joz informs Mir that Coyote no longer exists. Mir asks is she sure she didn’t leave any fingerprints to give her away? Joz says of course not and holds up a gloved hand (Ay-yayay, LOL!) Mir is anxious to find out where MA has gone off to.

MA is praying… Thanking the Virgin for illuminating her heart regarding Gabe. She thanks her for her misericordia (compassion, mercy, pity) and is all smiles.

Leo is freaking out and can’t believe Joz is a murderer. Gabe says the authorities are on to her, and that he (Leo) doesn’t know her, she’s “capaz de cualquer cosa” capable of anything (another one of the top 10 most frequently used novela phrases). Leo says she needs him more now than ever and he won’t give up on her (oy vey).

JC, Pau and Doll are at the constructoria and she (Doll) lets them know MA has reappeared. JC says something about Gabe being really happy… Doll brings up the birth mother search and Pau says they’ve been able to find out that she became a nun. Doll happily offers to contact the mother superior. They ask about Tib but Doll won’t tell them anything and leaves to find out about Pau’s birth mother. (I want to call the birth mother BM but saying “Doll left to find out about Pau’s BM” just sounds really bad) JC leaves to see if he can help Doll.

Joz rushes in to see Mir and breathlessly tells her that MA has shown up in the “vecindad,” ie. Candy’s place. Mir is sure, now that MA is back, Gabe will be more secure in taking the baby… Joz says no way; she’s not going to stand for that. Mir is surprised that Leo didn’t mention anything about MA. Joz looks jealous and asks why every time Mir is around Leo she becomes “blandas,” which I think means soft. Mir says it’s not true. Mir says the only thing that’s important is that no one find out they had anything to do with MA’s kidnapping. Joz says the only one who can say anything is dead. (and what about Karen?) Mir stresses that one small detail, anything, and “nos puede huir para siempre,” “they” can make them flee for forever(?) Something like that…

Elsa is back to begging Silvestre for forgiveness… he’s finally giving up on her. He says every time he gives her another opportunity she does something worse, he’s had enough… she begs him, she doesn’t want Leo and Candy to send her away to treatment again… but he says she should have thought of them and leaves.

Doll visits Tib in his hideout apartment… she brought him pills for “the pain.” Someone bangs at the door. JC has followed her… he says he’s there to help…

Nic and Gabe discuss how brave MA was with the kidnapping. Nic says the authorities will soon find the place the kidnappers were keeping her. Nic says he’s happy to see Gama together… Gabe says it’s forever.

MA confronts Joz and says she’s sure she had something to do with her kidnapping and soon she will get her punishment… Joz lays into her: “You want to know the truth, I hate you,” Joz says, “I hate you with all of my being…” She goes on to say that she’ll torment her without ceasing and never leave her in peace for her entire stupid dog life… whoa!

After the commercial, Joz goes on to tell her she has many ways to attack her. MA says she’s not afraid… Joz says she would be if she were her… she’s not done with her yet… MA says she’ll respond “golpe con golpe”… punch with punch… (didn’t she say that same thing to Joz before?) Mir says she won (I believe she’s referring to Gabe, not sure) and to accept her (Joz’s) defeat… Joz just laughs and drinks her beverage… they move from the mansion office to the front area (great room maybe it’s called)… MA goes on and says not only did her mother love her unlike Joz’s mom but Gabe loves her more too. This seems to make Joz’s smug look diminish. Joz heads up the stairs as MA lets her know that she’s won and justice will get her… Joz just says “we’ll see” as she heads up the stairs.

JC tells Tib they have the same blood and he’s there to help. He says Tib should get a lawyer to advise him. Tib gets upset and tells them all to leave him in peace and attempts to kick them both out…

This is where my recording ends… I may have lost the last few minutes of the episode… bummer.

La Fea Más Bella #231 3/14/07 Around the countryside in 80 seconds, and around Manhattan in 80 feet...hmmm

Aldo tells Lety the sad story of his wife and mom and how he felt that everything he loves dies, but then he tells her, he believes that love will conquer death. Silly smiles.
Carla and Fer are at her apartment and are discussing the other woman Marcia. Fer tells her that he hasn’t been able to touch Marcia since he made love to Lety. Making love to Lety brought out in him feelings he never imagined existed. He forgot completely about himself and enjoyed everything she gave him. There was such a complete surrender and tenderness, so infinite as if God himself agreed with their union.
Carla tells him in synthesis but now Lety is with another man, and you are wasting your time with someone you can’t even stand touching. Carla tells him he just needs to find the right woman. Of course it’s her who will help him get over Lety.
She leads him to the bedroom and tells him to make himself comfortable. He takes off his coat and tie and lays it on the bed. She happily takes off everything! She puts on a robe and tells herself she will make him think she’s the first woman in his life, (oh she’s so darn sure of herself!) and she goes back out the bedroom only to find Fer not in there.
He’s out front in a trance projecting his image of Lety on the Empire state? On the wall? I have poor reception so I couldn’t really see this that well, but it looked like it was going out the window onto the Empire State. Someone can confirm. He is crying and telling the photo how much he loves her, and how her kisses never lie, and if she only knew how much he loved her. Only God knows how much he loves her. Carla walks in and sees the picture. She seems shocked at the fealidad.
Aldo leads Lety through a walkway blindfolded with his hand and she protests slightly as he calms her. When he takes off his hand, he sets off fireworks that end in the words Leticia, Te amo (I love you). Lety likes them and thanks him very much. They hug, aw.
Back in the NY Fer continues that he only wants to touch her lips, Lety’s lips. He loves her. He is balling and apologizes to Carla and then leaves. Thank goodness. She sits by the window and tells herself she wants him to love her just that way too, like he loves Lety. She tells herself that he is great because he sees with his heart and not his eyes. Lety gave only her love and that was enough for him...blah, blah, blah....
Fer says it’s 5 in the am and still no sun in NY. He calls Omar to find out what’s up. He wants to know where he is and more importantly, where they are. Omar says isn’t it enough that he dreamed of them all night in his cabana across from Lety and Alfo. That was a typo, but I like it. I had thought before of calling him Alpo too. But since Fer’s the one with puppy dog eyes….well maybe it works because I’m sure he would love to devour Aldo. Ok, I’m digressing in a weird way.
Anyhow, Fer continues telling Omar that he must stay vigilant and keep his eye on them and he needs some clues as to what happened. Omar watches them through binoculars as they come out in front of the cabana. He asks what kind of face they have and how are they acting? He says they are laughing, they are not, they are laughing, they are not. Fer wants to know if she is blinking her right eye, because if she is, then she’s nervous, and if she’s nervous, then she didn’t sleep with Aldo. Omar says she’s blinking it and tells him how many times, 4. He thinks that’s not bad. Omar starts laughing and says I’m messing wit’ you. They both look very relaxed, etc. Fer tells him to stop clowning this is very delicate and important. Omar says maybe if it’s about the business, yes, but he should forget the gargolita. Fer gets mad and yells at him that he really needs to know what happened and Omar better continue his watch. Omar agrees only on behalf of the business.
He sees them getting up to leave and bangs the binocs into the window following them. He then realizes his pits stink and says he has to change. Actually, a shower would be in order. Amazingly, he too has clean clothes.
The cuartel are now wondering what happened to Lety because she’s so late, and Aldo and Omar haven’t arrived either. PM says maybe they should call her house, but that since they wouldn’t speak to her yesterday, maybe she will dismiss them. They try to call her house and no one answers, which is kind of weird, because where else would Julietta and Erasmo be? Moty? He could answer it I bet!
Then they think maybe something happened to her. They discuss what might have happened. Just then Oxi shows up to ask, “What are you doing here you cackling hens. O A & L aren’t here yet, do you know anything?” Marta says of course, but they aren’t going to tell her. Oxi can’t wait until she can humiliate and step on them one of these days.
Back in San Miguel, Lety and Alpo meet with Don Lauro and get the contract signed. They are happy. And there was much rejoicing…yeah.
Oxi is in Marci’s office searching for any extra dough laying around when the phone rings, and of course it’s her in London and she wants to know where Lety is. Oxi tells her she’s not in today yet and she doesn’t know where she is. Mar immediately jumps to her own conclusion that Lety must be with Fer in NY then. Oxi says now that she’s using Marci’s car, she has appointments to make etc. so she's been too busy to keep tabs on them. The car however was a bribe to keep Mar informed. Oxi says, well neither Aldo nor Omar is there either. Mar continues berating her to keep on top of her investigatory post. Oxi ultimately tells her she should just call Fer. She does, to no answer.
Now at the meeting in NY Carla is talking about how Los Angeles has the second most Spanish speakers of any city in the world? and how California is a market that they definitely want to air the Spanish commercials. Fern is not paying attention he seems tired. Of course Carla notices this and asks if he is ok. He says he’s ok and in agreement. She ultimately says she wants to see the promos, and the logos etc. He re-deals the CDs.
Aldo and Lety are walking around the aqueducts and she says how much work they’ll have when they get back. He tells her before they go back to Mexico City he has one more surprise for her.
The cuartel is calling hospitals, jails, etc to see if Lety might be there. Tomas walks up and laughs at them being in a tizzy. He tells them she’s fine and with Aldo on a business trip and she’ll be back in a few hours. He tells Lola, it’s over, it’s over. Just then, Lopez walks up and asks everyone to go to the meeting room because he has something to report that will affect them all.
Back in NY, man this chick doesn’t give up. She wants to invite him out again. He resists but she tells him she understands what he is going through. But she promises him they’ll have fun. He says, it’s not that he’s in Luigi’s club, it’s that he just isn’t feeling up to it. She says she wants to talk to him, not about work but about Lety. He says no that’s ok, he thinks he told her enough. She tells him not to forget she’s also a psychologist, and she understands other people’s feelings. He reluctantly agrees.
Aldo and Lety are now in a pretty field with hot air balloons lying out. Aldo asks her if she doesn’t think it’s beautiful, and maybe she’d like a different view. Omar wonders what they are up to. Omar is walking on the balloon with boots, that can’t be good for it.
Tomas enters the sala de juntos, Lopez tells everyone Lety has disappeared, and the firm is without a head, so Marci told him who’s in charge….Alicia!!! She waltzes in swaying like Marilyn Monroe or Jane Mansfield. Tomas gets a goofy lovesick smile and the cuartel protest or faint, or cry or something. Guess that was Oxi’s idea to get them back.
Omar somehow gets cell signal in the middle of nowhere and he calls Fern to tell him the latest move, a hot air balloon. They are going up in a hot-air balloon. Fer is not happy about this. Carla, who still thinks she can persuade a man desperately in love with someone else to change his tune in less than 24 hours takes Fer out walking somewhere in NY again. Looks like they are in Brooklyn and then they eventually are back in Manhattan, can’t imagine they would have walked all of that. He tells her there’s no such balloons here, right, and she says of course not in this air and he said they could kill you huh, but only the men and not women, right? ;)
And the balloon is off…and Lety has fear of heights, remember. Damn he’s gonna try and cure her of this too. Swell guy. I don’t know, I kind of like Fer’s method of shoving tequila down her throat better. Aldo tries to get her to essentially meditate her fears away and to feel the freedom. She doesn’t look thrilled.
Anyway….
Fer tells Omar that he has to go up in a balloon too, to follow them and to continue with the mission. He reminds Fer that he got dizzy riding horses when they were kids, and that since they were kids Fer has always blackmailed him with their friendship. He calls him a blackmailer and fine he’ll go up too, for friendship.
We now have around the countryside in 80 seconds. Omar barfs over the side. Feel sorry for any cows that might be below. O, didn’t anyone teach you to put that strap around your neck and not lean over the side with the binocs?
Ali is addressing the group in the meeting room telling them that even if they don’t like it, they still have to tolerate her. Tomas puts himself at her feet. She says that’s respect. Now she tells them she has a proposal. [Yeah, put all your money in a hat for my makeup fund.]
We have more walking around NY, stealing of the liberty clown’s torch and the balloon ride finishes with Omar still ill and cursing Fer. I was thinking that when the ground cameras shot up, the ones in the balloon baskets would have to duck down out of sight. I don’t know.
Carla tells Fer she knows the perfect way to cure him. He wonders if it is a psychosomatic prophylactic, or pill or potion, or… she says nor is it witchcraft etc. He says, and what if I don’t want to forget her or my feelings? She says he’ll never get better then. He says fine, he doesn’t want to suffer anymore so tell him.
She starts by telling him when you separate from someone you love, you always elevate them and remember only the beautiful moments together. He agrees. He tells he they spent one special weekend in Cuernavaca. Fer says we didn’t even make love. She didn’t want to. Not because I wanted to and forced it, but because WE didn’t want to. I never touched her body, but that weekend I touched her heart. He reaches out to touch Carla’s heart and she grabs his hand, and….yuk…

Ok, as I'm posting this I can't help but notice the below post re Soler. Huh? I'm floored. I'll have to review that in the morning. How bizarre!!
Ummm, ok, if you saw all those weird codes and stuff, I don't know what to say other than maybe my cats conspired against me before I turned off my computer, or the Gremlins returned with the 80's revival. No idea...sorry about that and hope it's fixed. Told you I've been battling with blogger of late... :)

Juan Soler's new business venture

Some may find what follows shocking. Others won't believe it. Others may think that I have concocted this item to further weaken any token support Aldo might have among the viewers of La Fea Mas Bella. But you would be wrong. I am not making this up, as Dave Barry would say.

Yes, thanks to a cover story in the March 6 issue of TVNotas magazine (a goldmine of information about novelas in general), we now know that "Ahora Juan Soler y Alan Tacher venden toallas sanitarias!" That's sanitary napkins, for anyone who needs a translation. A copy of the article appears http://ninasbloggg.blogspot.com/ (my blog). In my view, this is just the sort of patronizing claptrap that Aldo would inflict on us.

I could undertake to write a translation, but I don't have time tonight.

P.S. Who's Alan Tacher? I'm not familiar with him.

Duelo de Pasiones - Tuesday 3/13 - In which Tonqui runs all night and Nurse Susi shows some skin.

It is nighttime. Rosita awakes, violated but alive. She discovers Rutilio dead in the carriage. She slumps on the hill by the side of the road, cries to God and screams for help as Carmina Burana-type music plays in the background.

Angel is in a tizzy worrying about Emilio. Orlando assures Angel that he will find his brother, but Angel is concerned about Emilio's suffering. "What suffering," demands Thelma? She has entered the room in time to hear the bad news. She blames that filthy Flor for yet again messing up Emilio's Life According To Thelma. Angel seems to think that nobody can survive up in the mountains unless they are well prepared.

Cut to Emilio yelling for help.

The kidnappers plan to send a ransom note to Don Loco in the morning. Pancho orders Tula to write the note. She cries that she doesn't want to have anything to do with this kidnapping business. Pancho takes off his belt and beats her with vicious gusto.

Floralina tells Tonqui (this is how they are spelling Tonki tonight) to go for help. He grabs a dried animal skin and runs out. Soledad and Flor wonder why Tonqui took the skin; they hope he returns for help. Maybe some of you think Tonqui took the skin for a chew toy, but I think Prince Tonqui has a plan. Go Tonqui!!

Orlando convinces Thelma and Angel to stay at La Rinconada while he looks for Emilio, thus ensuring his plot to keep Emilio trapped and unfound. Sexy Nurse Susi promises to keep an eye on joven Angel and make sure he stays safely in his room.

Don Max bursts into the house, filthy, bloody and enraged. He cracks his whip in a frenzy and yells for Efigenio. Didn't he order Efigenio to fix the damned fence near the pasture? "Your stupid fence isn't worth a sh*t," Don Max screams, "a horse escaped and I got caught in the barbed wire!" He orders Efigenio to fix it in the morning.

The singing Aunt Rebecca witnesses all this and asks if she can help him. He bellows, "Sure you're going to cure me just like they fix fences! Thank you!!" "You're welcome," she meekly responds as he charges up the stairs.

Elias arrives at Hacienda de Loco with bad news. He tearfully tells Adela that Blanca died of a heart attack. He came to tell Soledad. Don Loco swaggers out and says HIS wife isn't there. She escaped!

Singing Aunt tries to comfort Thelma. Thelma's not happy that Orlando is searching for Emilio; Orlando loathes Emilio and has always envied him.

Elias asks Don Loco why isn't he out looking for Soledad? It's dangerous for women to be out this late. Don Loco tells Elias it's none of his biz. Now that Blanca is dead is Elias wanting to find Soledad and finally fulfill his fantasies? Elias demands "How did you know Blanca is dead?"

Thelma cries to auntie that Emilio will never love her. Suddenly there is a knock on the window. Auntie says it's the idiot Gaspar! Thelma instructs, "Tell him to beat it!"

Auntie opens the window and tells an eager Gaspar that Thelma is sick. His face gets long and he looks sad and concerned. Auntie orders him to go. Gaspar sticks out his lip and says he'll go so as not to bother the muñequita. (He means Thelma but I think Auntie believes he is referring to the baby.) Auntie gets a bright idea. If Gaspar thinks Thelma is sick maybe he will believe that Thelma lost the child!

Elias didn't tell Don Loco that Blanca had died so how did he know??? Don Loco says he heard Elias tell Adela and saw Adela start crying. She really liked Blanca as did he. (Liked to lock her up and cause her to fibrillate he means.) Don Loco tells Elias that he absolutely prohibits Elias from looking for Soledad. Elias shakes his head, jumps on his horse and rides off.

A bound Floralina cries, presumably to Emilioooo, "I'm never going to stop loving you." Puhleaze!

Tonqui runs around Emilio's pit. Emilio sees him and yells "Tonqui! Tonqui!"

Angel thought bubbles, "Can't stay here, gotta look for my bro." He sneaks past Nurse Susi who has fallen asleep doing the crossword puzzle.

Emilio tells Tonqui to look for Alina. Tonqui runs off, probably confused that people keep telling to run back and forth. Emilio yells for help. Tonqui has left the rabbit skin next to the pit.

Felicia, Jose and the other drug runners are stealing boxes of munitions from the soldiers' camp. They must have gotten these arms from America because each box is marked "Export." Jose is suspicious because nobody seems to be guarding the goods. He tells the new boss Rogelio that this is the last time he'll get involved in their biz, he's only there for Felicia. Moments after they leave the soldiers from the camp discover the missing ammo. The alarm is sounded.

Braulio sees Rosita's note and hopes she will be happy with Santos. He hopes they will get married and that she'll leave La Rinconada and lecherous Don Max forever. Suddenly a dirty and sobbing Rosita stumbles in. "They killed Rutilo," she sobs,"and they raped me!" Braulio is muy impactado!

Braulio kicks a chair and asks Rosita if she's sure Rutilo is dead. Was it dark? Was the attacker big? Did she see him? She says his face was covered. Braulio wants to report it to the authorities but Rosita doesn't want anyone to know. She is humiliated and runs to her room. "How can we not report it," Braulio asks in despair? "Daughter, daughter," he sobs, sagging down onto the table in anguish.

Angel rides in the night, coughing and yelling for Emilio. As often as he gets thrown from horses, if I were him I would think twice about riding around at night.

Soledad and a crying Floralina cannot get free. Alina says Blanca will help them, she promised! Soledad reluctantly tells Alina that Blanca cannot..."your godmother died." Alina is impactada and she sobs with renewed vigor, "No puede ser!" Soledad adds that Don Loco gave her the news, no doubt he had something to do with it.

Jose and the drug runners are hustling the boxes of munitions through the forest. They are all rushing like crazy except Felicia who brings up the rear prancing like a dancer, waving her gun aimlessly, and casually looking around. Boom! she gets shot in the back in front of a horrified Jose. He tries to help her but Rogelio the jefe orders him to leave. They have to run NOW! Felicia makes things easy on them and kicks the bucket. Arcadio forces Jose to leave her. The closing shot is a close up of Felicia, open-eyed with blood dripping from her mouth.

It's dawn and a weak - even weaker than usual - Angel hears Tonqui's barks. Tonqui leads Angel to the pit. Angel throws Emilio a rope and his horse pulls him out of the pit. For the first time Angel is successful at a task. Emilio is exhausted but fine. They see the skin that Tonqui dropped earlier. "It's a rabbit skin...just the skin," Emilio observes astutely, "Alina and her mother must be in a hunter's hut!"

Nurse Susi is still in her Telenovela nurse hat and shoes, but today she wears a sexy little If-Marilyn-Monroe-Were-A-Nurse dress. It's very low cut. Something tells me Nurse Susi is about to get more lines. She is in the kitchen asking Vera what should she do about Angel giving her the slip? What if something bad happens to him because she fell asleep?

A gasping Angel tells Emilio that he wants to help him look for the kidnapping hunters, just give him a moment to catch his breath. He's wiped out from throwing a rope, getting on his horse, and analyzing a bunnie skin.

Soledad and Floralina are tired, they were too frightened to sleep. Tula enters with breakfast. Her face is bruised and she's sporting a shiner. Soledad asks, "He beat you, didn't he?"

Emilio wants Angel to go home, the mountains are too cold for his lungs. Angel insists on staying and becoming a liability. "Fine then," says Emilio, "Put on that big old ugly checkered blanket thing to help keep you warm."

Orlando tries to convince the search party to look for Emilio in the marsh. The other guys don't think he would have gone there but they agree to split up, allowing Orlando to search on his own. Vera and Nurse Susi, whose neckline seems to have plunged more deeply since the last scene, tells the search party that Angel snuck out during the night, so they should look for him too. "Damn him," thought bubbles Orlando, "he's going to ruin my diabolical plan!" We get one more close-up of Nurse Susie's cleavage as he rides by.

Angel coughs and teeters on his saddle. He spies a fire and they ride toward it.

Soledad tells Tula she recognizes an abused woman. She understands because she herself has been mistreated by a man. Tula makes excuses, "My Pancho has you here because we need the money, no other reason." Ohhkaaayy, so that's a good reason? Soledad says she's not talking about what he's doing do them (Soledad and Alina) but rather what he is doing to her (Tula). Some women think it's normal that their husbands beat them. They allow it to happen because they are afraid their husband will go away and leave them alone. For that reason they bear all sorts of humiliations until they eventually become accustomed to the mistreatment.

Flor pipes up that she shouldn't let any man mistreat her (hear that mom???). "But Pancho loves me," says Tula. "Yeah right, if he loved you he wouldn't beat you, he wouldn't hurt you. If you let him he's going to keep beating you and then what? He'll end up leaving you for someone else," instructs Flor. Tula cries,"Don't say that, don't say that!" She runs out crying. "Poor woman," clucks Soledad. Flor and Soledad should follow their own advice.

Emilio and Tonqui race into a camp where a man sleeps by a fire. Angel trots behind. Emilio sticks his rifle in the man's ear. It's Elias, poor sap. He says he was looking for some loved ones in the mountains but he has to sleep. They realize they are all looking for the same two women and decide to join forces. Angel coughs, the actor must have a very sore throat by now.

Don Loco yells at Sergio for not being able to find the women while he was sleeping on his fat a** all night. At that moment a rock wrapped in paper crashes through the window and lands at their feet. "It's a message," says Sergio. Duh. Don Loco reads the message, "It demands a ransom for Soledad and Flor."

Commercial break Mundo - Ultimos Capitulos - Dolores attacks Jos and grabs her by the throat. It appears that Jos can't stop flapping her yap even while getting strangled. Catfight!!!

Back to Duelo: Don Loco says a big ransom has been demanded for the women. The money is to be brought to the cave down by the river. "Are you going to pay," asks Sergio? "Of course," answers Loco, " I'd give my entire fortune to have them back."

Braulio tries to console a tormented Rosita by giving her some herbal tea. He gently tells her that when she goes to give her testimony about Rutilio's death she should report what "that bastard" did to her. She says she doesn't want to, what good will it do? She doesn't know who it is and the only thing that will happen is that all of Sierra Escondido will know. They will speak badly of her and call her a floozy. That's how people are around there. Whenever a girl is raped she is the one who is judged. She doesn't want that to happen. She doesn't want Santos to find out and judge her like everybody else. While Rosita speaks she wipes her arm repeatedly with a cloth as if to remove some unseen filth.

Braulio wonders aloud if it could have been Don Maximo. Rosita says that what she was thinking. The last time he saw her he warned her to be very careful.

Santos has a flashback to happy times with Rosita. The cute waitress interrupts his thoughts. If he's so sad why doesn't he look for his Roseeeeetah? She's heard all about her. Santos doesn't want to talk about it and stomps away.

Mariana tells a pleased Malena that she accepted Dr. Love's proposal of marriage, which leads us into...

Jose telling Arcadio he feels responsible for Felicia's death. The new boss Rogelio enters and tells Jose he is free to leave. It was Felicia's last wish. Arcadio can leave too. Jose and Arcadio are ecstatic. Jose says he will sell the gold (he still has that? didn't the druggies take it from him?) and return to his family. "At last, I will be with Mariana and Marianita!" Which leads us into...

Mariana, who is making big plans to tell her brother and the rest of the family her happy news. The entire family will attend the wedding. Malena wonders how Don Loco will react to Marianita the Bastardita. Mariana thinks it should be OK if he doesn't know Jose is the father.

The soldiers cover dead Felicia with a blanket. They could do nothing to save her but most of all they're sorry they couldn't interrogate her. They think that the Mexican dude Jose probably led the cartel to the military camp. The comandante says they are going after Jose and this time they are going to capture him! They captured him before, they just couldn't keep him.

Don Loco and Sergio wait by the river. Sergio stashes the package of money in some rocks. "Nobody will make a fool out of me," Don Loco swears, "nobody!" They look around like they hear something.

Accompanied by suspenseful music, one of the kidnappers (not Pancho) retrieves the money. He gleefully spreads the bills and congratulates himself. Don Loco appears with a pistol and Sergio garrotes the guy and holds a gun to his head. The kidnapper spills his guts, says Panchito made him do it, and cries like a baby for his life. "Act like a man," commands Don Loco. Does he mean find a woman and lock her up? No he means stop crying and tell them where he hid the women.

Auntie tells Thelma, who is shoving food in her face, not to fret or it could hurt the baby. Thelma says the baby is the last of her worries. Auntie tells Thelma about her idea to tell Gaspar that Thelma lost the baby. Then Thelma could go away for a while so Gaspar can't see she is pregnant. Thelma thinks the plan might work. Auntie fans herself with pride.

A badly beaten Tula sobs in front of a cracked mirror. She remembers Flor's and Soledad's words. She weeps and inspects her bruised ribs.

Soledad and Floralina talk about what a jerk Pancho is. Soledad doesn't understand how women can let themselves be humiliated in such a manner, but then admits "I myself I have lived, humiliated and mistreated by the man I trusted and until today I have not been able to avoid it." Alina says when all this is over she vows she will never let another man treat them badly. Soledad says she hopes so because it seems Emilio has that character. "No, really, it's just a front," Stupid Alina insists," deep down he's good." OK so have these women learned nothing? Soledad continues, she says Alina idealizes him too much and has forgotten what's gone down between them. If they get out alive it would be best if Alina stopped thinking of him.

Elias, Emilio, Angel and Tonqui are exhausted from looking for the women. They say it's like looking for a damn needle in a haystack. Hey wait a minute...can't Tonqui take the men right to them? Guess not, maybe he's confused from all that running back and forth. They accuse Tonqui of just finding the skin lying around somewhere. Angel says he feels awful and keels over. Elias will take him home and Emilio and Tonqui will continue searching.

Stupid Alina dreams of kissing Emilio at the beach. It makes her cry.

Elias and Angel have taken only moments to reach home. Don Max carries Angel upstairs while Nurse Susi pronounces him feverish. Elias reports that Emilio is fine. Angel rescued him from a pit.

Susi asks delirious Angel, "Why did you do it?" "Alina my love, will you marry me," he asks? This comatose marriage proposal thing must run in the family. "I'd love to marry you," Susi answers, and kisses him.

Don Loco, in his cute little cowboy hat rain cap, complains to the kidnapper that it's taking a long time to get to the women. He'd better not be playing games with them. Suddenly they see Tonqui followed by Emilio.

Emilio says, "So, Don Alvaro, we meet again." He says he is there for the same reason as Don Loco, to find Alina and Soledad. Don Loco demands, "Why are you involving yourself with my family?" "Your family?" snaps Emilio, "I thought Alina wasn't your daughter!" (Points to Emilio for that one.) "OK, she's not," admits Loco, but I still want you to stay out of my business." "How are you going to stop me?" challenges Emilio, "are you going to shoot me again?"

Don Loco doesn't look impactado, but he does look royally PO'd.

Upcoming attractions: Marianita takes a turn for the worse. Mariana vows to tell Don Loco about Jose. Emilio asks Orlando why he didn't respond to his shots for help when he fell into the pit.

Zorro- Tuesday March 13, 2007:I Am an Innocent Man (but not really)

Fernando is roughing up Yumali, when Zorro arrives. Fer comments that now he gets to meet Zorro. Z-“ I didn’t know that you wanted to meet me.” Zorro goes on about how he and the governor could work together to save the town. Fer says that he just wants to find out Zorro’s true identity. He says that Zorro thinks that he is protecting the poor, but really he is nothing more than a criminal. A sword fight starts between Fernando and Zorro. Zorro knocks Fer’s sword out of his hand. Fer taunts him to go ahead and kill him, Zorro says that his mission is done (Yumi escaped). Zorro asks Fer if he wonders why the Indian tried to kill him. Fer replies because she is an Indian, a godless savage. Zorro says “No, it is because all the land belonged to them before the Spaniards came and took it all away.” Fer says, “Too bad, so sad it’s the law of the strongest.” (is this like, history is written by the victors, or some such saying?). Anyway, this whole exchange makes me wonder why Fer cannot see that it is Diego under the mask, but oh well, that would bring about the ending of this show if everyone discovered that Diego was Zorro.

Montero and Pizarro are rehashing what happened on yesterday’s episode. You can just read my earlier posting. They talk about Al’s wound and how the doctor is making his coffin. Monty is excited, because if Al dies, then Diego loses his protector. He’s also pleased because with Al out of the picture, he will be able to get more done out from under the shadow of his enemy. Pizarro and Monty speculate why the Indian wants to kill Fer. Oh well, she’s helping them out by keeping the governor busy--so they're not too concerned with her.

Yumali’s escaped and runs into Bernardo. He tries to get her to come with him, to return to town, but she refuses because she hurt Al. Diego shows up, now out of his Zorro costume. He tells Yumi that Al asked him to find her. He warns that Fer’s men will still be looking for her. She doesn’t listen and takes off. Diego and Bernardo head home, Diego wants to know what’s up with his dad.

Al wakes up and tells Almudena that he needs to redo his will. He wants a lawyer, Dena suggests getting Olmos. He knows about these kinds of things, even though he is not a lawyer. He’s an accountant. Al calls out for Diego (yeah, he’s a lawyer, but he’s also probably in the will and I don’t know how that would hold up in court if anyone were to contest). Dena tells Al to rest and save his strength.

Maria Pia is putting away her non-nun clothes. She is crying over Fer. She says she doesn’t have the strength to reject him. Her heart cannot do it. She is confused because she still has feelings for him. She just wants to be free from her memories of him.

Horny Catalina has a new lover, it is Pizarro, but judging by their conversation this isn’t their first encounter. They are meeting in a barn. Piz asks Cat what’s up with Diego, he’s heard rumors that they were lovers. Cat poo poos that. She finds it funny that Piz is jealous of a supposed lover, but not her husband Tobias. Piz says it is obvious that Tobi isn’t satisfying Cat’s needs, so no need to be jealous there. She starts to make fun of her husband and tells Piz of Tobi’s plan to trap Zorro. She tells him how he even got a mask and cape, just like Zorro. She finds it funny and talks about how no one knows the identity of Zorro. This gives Pizarro an idea. He takes off and leaves Cat behind in the barn. He runs to daddy, I mean Montero. He wants to tell him of his brilliant idea, but Monty doesn’t need to hear it. He knows that Pizarro will succeed with whatever he plans, and if he doesn’t, well then he will be properly dealt with. I find this whole bit funny, because usually these two men rehash and plot together, but I suppose they want to build suspense for the audience---Whatever could Pizarro be planning? Anyway, Monty wants to talk about his favorite subject for the day, Fernando. He suspects that Fernando has something up his sleeve to get back at Monty. Monty's not worried, because he's in charge now.

Fer is ticked. He’s mad that Zorro thwarted his unfinished business with Yumi. He’s mad because both Yumi and Zorro got away. He’s even more ticked with Monty. He states that if Sara Kali is dead then Montero might as well be dead too.

We are shown the gypsy women (what is her name?). She’s reading the cards and discovers that Sara Kali is still alive, but barely. He son, Renzo, wants to talk about Esme and Diego. He doesn’t like the two together, that’s because he’s got a little crush on Esme. Momma gypsy picks up on this and tells Renzo that the princess is not for him. She consults the cards and sees that Diego is truly in love with Esme, but the cards show that there is someone who will try to separate them.

New scene with Mariangel. She meets up with Catalina. She tells her that she will not be marrying Diego. Instead Diego will be marrying her sister, Esme. She makes it seem as if Esme stole Diego from her. She asks Cat to help her get Diego back from Esme. Cat agrees. Since she really did have an affair with Diego (from the first episode), she’s going to fill Mariangel in on different things that will help her get Diego.

Diego returns home and Dena tells him that things don’t look too good for Al right now. Diego goes to see his father and Alejandro asks about Yumi. Diego tells him that she is safe, away from Fer, but she wouldn’t come back to the house. Diego asks Al to be strong. Al says some nice stuff to Diego, how he’s noticed a change in him lately, blah, blah, blah. Diego tells Al that not only is he his father, he is also his friend. Al asks Diego to take care of the women and to have Dena move out of Fernando’s house. It isn’t good for her to live with him. Fer is his friend, but he can be hard on those who love him. Diego tells Al that he won’t lose his father. Just noticing Al's body as he's lying in bed. This man has some well defined pectoral muscles and very powerful biceps.....yummy, I'm a sucker for a man with strong arms. If only they'd get rid of his really bad dye job-not a convincing color of gray, IMHO.

Fer and the Cardinal have a meeting. The Cardinal has brought a bunch of papers for Fer to look over and sign. These papers will authorize the legitimization of the religious order. Fer says he’ll look them over eventually. The Cardinal is ticked that Fer is once again putting the laity above the Church. Cardinal tells Fer that he is going to tattle to the Pope. And when the Pope gets involved, Fer better watch out. The Spanish Crown is going to hear about all of this. Fer tells the Cardinal to go ahead, it will take months for your message to reach Rome (although it took only days for Fer to reach America from Spain---again referring to the first episode).. The Cardinal backs down a little and asks Fer how long will it take him to look over and approve the documents. Fer reminds the Cardinal that God created the world in 6 days, this is going to take a bit longer than that for Fer.

One of Fer’s soldiers goes to Monty and requests that the prison records be given to the governor. Monty isn’t going to go along with Fer’s orders. He sends the soldier back to Fer, to tell him no way. When the soldier leaves, Monty comments that he is not impressed with Fer’s men.

Dolores and Esme have gone to see Maria Pia, to tell her that Al has been injured. Maria Pia is upset and wants to go see her brother, but the Cardinal has ordered the “almost” nuns to be in seclusion. Padre Tomas comes in and tells MP that he’s worked it all out with the Cardinal. She wants to know how he did it so fast, and he tells her that Fernando told him about Al’s wound when he was there earlier. Now it appears that the situation is getting worse, so Padre Tom got the Cardinal’s permission to let MP go. MP asks Padre Tom to come with them, Al’s going to need him (for his last rights?).

Monty encounters the carriage with Esme, Dolores, Maria Pia, and Padre Tom. He it trying to make nice to Esme (to keep what he's got planned hidden?). She doesn’t trust him. He says he heard about Al’s injury, and even though he doesn’t get along with the de la Vegas, he doesn’t wish death upon them. Does Esme want his men to accompany them to the de la Vega home? She turns him down. The carriage goes on its way, Padre Tom and Esme discuss how strange Monty was acting. Esme doesn’t trust him.

Pizarro gets his soldiers ready to go to the de la Vega home. Oh, the suspense is killing me....whatever could he have planned.

Mariangel hears Fer talking about Monty. She suggests that Fer do something drastic to stop him. She goes on to speculate that Monty must be hiding something from Fer. Could it be money? Might he be stealing from the tax money? Fer thinks she might be on to something and he’s going to get the evidence needed against Monty.

Dena and Diego express their concern over Al. He’s not doing very well. Inside his room, alone, Al calls out for Yumi. Just then, she climbs in through the bedroom window. She apologizes to Al. She wants to be there for him and if he dies, well they’ll go together. Yumi starts to shake some rattles and burn some incense. Al is happy to see that she is there and Yumi asks him to forgive her. (She calls him master, and it just makes me think of “I Dream of Genie.”) Al asks Yumi to not try to hurt Fernando again. She tells him that she cannot promise that. Fer recently killed her brother and many years ago he killed her sister. Al says that only God can punish Fer. I don't think that Yumi is buying the whole "vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord" thing.

Pizarro and his soldiers arrive at the de la Vega home. They come to arrest Diego for being Zorro and Alejandro for being his accomplice. Some of the soldiers rough up Bernardo and another male employee. One of the soldiers comes in from the barn and has found Zorro’s costume. Dena is outraged. She’s going to be speaking to her brother about this. Pizarro isn’t scared. He tells Dena that Diego will have to go before a judge to prove his innocence, and with the proof they found in the barn, well good luck.

Monty and Mariangel are sharing a bath. She makes him promise that he’ll stop Diego and Esme from getting married. Then she tells him that he better leave Diego alone. Trust me he says, and she wonders why he cannot trust her. She reminds him that she has great sway with her father and Monty wants to know what she is up to.

Pizarro wants to see Al. Dena forbids him from going upstairs. Again Dena threatens to have her brother punish Pizarro. Just then, Esme and crew arrive at the house. Padre Tom defends Diego and Esme rightly states that this is just more of Montero’s personal vengeance against Diego.

Fer is addressing his soldiers. He tells them that Montero will be shown no mercy if he has broken the law. SAM looks pleased and volunteers to take Fer to Monty’s office, since Monty isn’t there (because right now he’s in the tub with your slutty daughter). Olmos goes to Monty’s office w/ Fer. He searches the records and discovers that someone has been cooking the books. Half of the collected tax money is unaccounted for. Fer orders SAM to arrest Monty, and if he resists or tries to escape he should be killed. SAM suggests that Fer’s men would be better to arrest Monty, but Fer insists that he wants Monty’s own men to arrest him. SAM gets nervous when he addresses the soldiers and tells them that they will be arresting Montero, their now former commander.

SAM finds Monty and gives him his “warrant”. Monty pulls out his sword and aims it at SAM, who states that he’s only following orders. SAM asks Monty not to resist because they’ve been given the order to kill him if he does. Monty calls SAM a traitor. Mariangel (who was with Monty when he was issued his warrant) says that there has to be some sort of mistake and says she’ll talk to her father. Monty figures it out that somehow Mariangel had a hand in all of this happening. He isn’t too pleased with her.

Tobi finds out that his cape and mask are missing. He gets angry with Catalina. He thinks she hid them.

As Pizarro and men are taking Diego out of the house, he asks Padre Tomas to take care of the women and he asks Esme to look after his father. He kisses her goodbye. Bernardo is brought into the room, still getting roughed up by the soldiers. Diego turns to Pizarro and threatens him “if anything happens to my employees or if my dad dies….” Pizarro says that he’s not worried, Diego will be an old man when/if he gets out of prison.” END OF EPISODE

Just an end note, so many times in this episode Montero and Fernando each said how they were in control, yadda, yadda, yadda. It was a real pissing match between the two of them. Anyway, I lost track of how many times they said it, but if you can imagine every scene that either one was in ending with each of them saying "I'm in control now" or some such similar kind of sentence. You'll pretty much get the essence of tonight's show.
