La Fea Más Bella #257 4/19/07 Cake and Hot Chocolate

I know I’m biased, but I have to agree that Aldo looks awfully smug about the whole “pact thing.” Maybe it’s because he needs a haircut. Maybe it’s Lety’s giant polka-dot shirt. Nope, that’s just plain smug.

Tomas and the cuartel talk about the events of the day, but what Tomas really wants to know is if Marcia authorized Alicia as his secretary. Sara says she has no idea. Tomas sighs and excuses himself to go see Lety. The cuartel delays him and explains that Fernando and Aldo are in the office with her. The cuartel wants to know what’s going on in Lety’s office; Tomas wants to know about Alicia. He asks Lola for her address so he can go see his chick. Lola writes it down.

Lety doesn’t understand about the pact. She asks if they made a pact with Ariel so he wouldn’t come back to Conceptos. Aldo retracts his previous statement and tries to deny there’s a pact. He and Fernando make up some nice sounding statement about moving forward without anyone else interfering with the company, especially unpleasant people. Lety says that if the men are serious, she likes their idea because she’s 100% in agreement. The men slap at each other like two five year old girls in love with the quiet kid in the corner. They proclaim themselves a team. Lety suddenly remembers that she needs to talk to Tomas. She rushes out of the room.

Aldo gets in Fernando’s face and says that Fernando forced him (Aldo) to lie to Lety about the pact. Fernando glares at Aldo out of the corner of his eyes and thinks that a good way to start with the pact is to respect each other’s personal space. Fernando attempts to “wax-off” Aldo, but Aldo’s still there. Fernando thinks that it will be impossible for either of them to never see Lety alone. Fernando informs Aldo that the cave is now his office. Aldo hates this idea; it violates the pact. Fernando says that he’ll be in that office only for work. He wouldn’t think of messing the personal with the professional. Umm…yeah…not so convincing. Aldo re-enters Fernando’s personal space and waves some Aldo air at him. I really hope Juan Soler uses good breath mints. Fernando invites Aldo to bring his desk into Lety’s office in order to see that Fernando has only good intentions. Aldo slaps at Fernando’s hand, but Fernando pulls it away and excuses himself to go get his belongings.

Somehow Lety ended up in the bathroom with the cuartel. Lola assures Lety that Tomas is okay. He’s in Lola’s house with Alicia. The cuartel has better things to talk about. Specifically, they want to know with whom Lety plans on staying. They (minus Irma) insist that Lety decide. Irma is sure that Lety will stay with Fernando. Sara thinks Lety should be with Aldo. Lety tunes them out and remembers her first night as Aurora. Lety comes back to reality and says she’s not like that, but the cuartel dismisses this odd comment and continues to talk about Lety’s personal life. Martha changes sides and comes to team Fernando. Lety can’t believe that the cuartel is discussing her personal relationships.

Marcia follows Fernando and his tree through the Vortex. He tells her that he’s taking his belongings to his new office. He waters his tree and she looks at him like he’s really gone crazy. Once the tree is well watered, he walks into Lety’s office. Marcia asks herself if Fernando has returned to the presidency. She follows Fernando into the office. She congratulates him for recovering his position as president, but he corrects her. He’s going to be Lety’s assistant.

At Lola’s apartment Alicia laments her new place in the world. Someone knocks on the door. One of the kids awakens and opens the door to find Tomas on the other side. Tomas whispers to Alicia that he has good news. He got her job back. She asks about Ariel; Tomas responds that Ariel was thrown out of the building. Alicia thinks she’s going to be Marcia’s secretary, but Tomas corrects her. She would be his assistant. Alicia is impactado!

Marcia can’t believe what Fernando just told her. Fernando says that his perfectly lucid. Marcia thinks she understands because this must mean that Fernando wants to be around Lety. Fernando scrunches his face and explains that all he wants is to start at the bottom. Lety enters the office and Fernando greets her. He explains that he’s moved all his thinks and he’s now at her disposition. Marcia rushes out of the office without saying another word.

Luigi applauds Aldo for the way he handled Ariel. Aldo humbly says that all he had to do was talk to Ariel. Aldo says he wants to talk to Luigi about one of his (Aldo’s) ideas. First, he wants to make sure that they won’t have another little misunderstanding like last time. Luigi agrees that they won’t. Aldo asks Luigi to try to get to know Lety. Luigi can’t believe his ears; he thinks Aldo’s playing with his emotions. It’s just not possible for Luigi to be a friend with Lety! Aldo asks Luigi to do it as a personal favor. Luigi says he will on one condition, it has to do with his position at Conceptos. Aldo explains that he will allow Luigi free reign with his job as creative director. Luigi playfully accuses Aldo of being deceitful, but he begrudgingly agrees to go along with Aldo’s request. Aldo laughs at Luigi’s antics.

Fernando chills out in his new office. He wonders to himself what it would be like if the walls of that office could talk. The ultimate irony is that the real president of Conceptos worked in that very office. Fernando remembers a conversation with his dad from Fernando’s first day as president. It’s when Humberto first introduced Fernando to the cave. Fernando also remembers that this office had many happy memories and some very sad memories as well. He remembers the last time he saw Lety before she left for Acapulco and the confrontation between them that ensued concerning The Letter. Fernando smiles to himself and remarks that after all this time, the office still smells like Lety. He next remembers a conversation with Lety from the day Ha-ash was in the building. He remembers how she cried when she said that she loved him. After that day, Lety left for Acapulco and met Aldo. Fernando recognizes that he lost her forever because of his own fault.

Out and about in the city, Caro and Omar share a lunch date. Omar swears to Caro that he’s in love. He wants Caro to read the card he has in his hands. She asks if the card is for him. Omar replies that it’s for the women who has the key to that dark place where he hid his feelings. (Odd how the writers didn’t have him say no…) Omar continues his speech and Caro looks as though she could just lean in and kiss him at any moment. She pulls away and opens the card. He pulls it away and asks Caro to take it to Aurora and ask Aurora for another date. Omar claims he needs it in order to survive.

Fernando sits in his office, working. Wait? Fernando? Working? Rewind – play. Yup, ladies and gentlemen Fernando Mendiola knows how to type! He has a use other than making the viewer’s hearts go pitter pat! One lucky advantage of the cave – he can overhear pretty much everything that goes on in the main office. He scoots to the door to hear Aldo asking Lety if he can come over to surprise Lety’s parents with a visit. Fernando quickly enters the room and interrupts. He claims he needs to talk to Aldo about something very important. Aldo comes into the cave and the boys spat about the pact again. Aldo doesn’t think he’s violating the pact. He’s not going to be alone with Lety because her parents will be there. Fernando thinks this is a sucker punch and that Aldo is a traitor. Lety calls for Aldo but the men lean out of the office and say they’re working on something important. Aldo leans out and says that Fernando’s agreed that there’s no problem. They lean back into the office and tell each other to suffocate. Aldo leaves the office. Fernando follows and Lety asks him if he’s planning on staying very late. Aldo explains that Fernando has a lot of work to do. Aldo drags Lety out of the office. Fernando won’t even look at them. Fernando comments to himself that Aldo is really “bent.”

It’s night in novela land and there’s a fight a-brewin’. PM can’t believe that Alicia ate everything! Lola wants to know what she should feed her children. Tomas says he’ll get some tortas, but the kids want nothing to do with that. They would rather have tacos. Alicia volunteers for Tomas to go get tortas and tacos. Tomas agrees and asks Alicia to accompany him. She points to herself and says that “all of this” can’t go a buyin’ tortas. Lola can’t believe how abusive Alicia is toward Tomas. Tomas leaves and Alicia plants herself on the couch, in the midst of the children. The show is all about the Mystery Woman and the competition to reveal her identity. PM wants her some Colunga, so she just has to win!

Luigi enters Lety’s office with a cake. He runs into Fernando, who makes fun of Luigi and his cake. Luigi accuses Fernando of being a receptionist and then asks why Fernando is in the cave. Fernando explains that he’s now Lety’s assistant. This gives Luigi a good laugh; he thinks that Fernando is just like a caricature of an animal. Fernando pretends to laugh. Luigi doesn’t know how far Fernando will go. This is why he’s not of the “religion” of women; they’ll make a man crazy. Fernando points out that Luigi was pretty crazy with his obsession over Aldo. Luigi leaves the cake and rudely excuses himself.

Aldo tries to explain to the Padilla-Solis’s why he returned from Acapulco. He tells Erasmo that he bought Conceptos’ debt for Lety. Julieta is impactada! Aldo goes on about wanting the old Lety. Lety’s parents remind her how noble this act is. Erasmo tells Aldo that he’s a fundamental part of the Padilla-Solis family.

Bozo’s upset that her son is going to be Lety’s assistant. Humberto doesn’t think it’s such a bad thing. He understands Marcia’s anger, but Fernando is maturing and Humberto will always support him. Marcia says she never will. Humberto adopts a paternal tone and asks Marcia to change her mind because a disgusted woman is not good company. He wants to know what happened to the old, happy, enchanting woman. Marcia remembers some complimentary words from Fernando. She suddenly smiles and thanks Humberto for the lecture. She acknowledges that she needs to change.

The gang at Lola’s apartment enjoy their food and watch Constantine. PM and Alicia spat over food and that results in PM demanding that Alicia remove herself from the apartment. Alicia thinks it’s a joke. Lola insists that it’s not and says that Alicia needs to leave this instant. Tomas protests, but everyone else wants her to leave.

Erasmo thinks it’s a good idea for Aldo to take Lety out to eat. After everything that has happened they must have a lot to talk about. Julieta thinks it’s a better idea for them to eat at the house, but Erasmo insists that they allow Lety to have some fun. The doorbell rings and Lety answers. It’s Fernando and Luigi’s cake. Lety gapes, Fernando goofily smiles and Aldo scowls. Fernando explains that he brought Aldo’s cake. Julieta thinks that it will be good with some hot chocolate. Erasmo asks Fernando who invited him to the house. Julieta tells Fernando not to worry about it. Fernando thanks her and says that he will of course stay to eat dinner with the family. Fernando thinks it would be a good idea for Aldo to help Julieta since he’s a chef cordon bleu (French for “the blue ribbon”). Julieta and Fernando joke about the words cordon bleu and Aldo scowls some more.

Alicia stands on the corner. She can’t believe that Tomas would bring her to stay in such a hotel as this one! Tomas explains that because of all the tortas he’s currently without cash. Alicia comments that she’s never felt so humiliated in her life; it’s worse then when her ex-husband used her photo for dart practice. Tomas doesn’t know what else to do. Alicia says she’s going in, and Tomas can have a clear conscious. He asks if she wants him to stay with her. No, but she wants him to carry her suitcases.

Back at the Padilla-Solis house Moty decides to make a meal out of the Aurora wig. Downstairs, everyone enjoys Luigi’s cake. Out of the blue, Erasmo brings up the idea of marriage. Upstairs, Moty starts to drag the wig out of the room.

Fernando compliments the hot chocolate, but Erasmo still wants to know why neither of the men are married. Don’t they want to get married? They both say they want a family just like Erasmo’s. Moty comes downstairs with the wig. Lety doesn’t know what to do; she’s going to be discovered. Fernando asks about what Moty’s carrying. Lety rushes over to Moty and says that it’s a doll. She runs back upstairs with the dog and the wig. Erasmo comments that Lety is still very much like a little girl. Did everyone see how emotional she got over the doll? The men agree. Julieta asks Erasmo when he’ll acknowledge that Lety has grown up. Aldo and Fernando interject positive comments about Lety’s innocent spirit. Erasmo changes the subject again and proclaims that he thinks it would be a bad idea for there to be any grudges between the men. You know, about the debt and all. Fernando comments that he really likes Aldo. Aldo says that he like Fernando even more. Lety re-enters the room. Once she sits, Aldo comments that he and Fernando have much in common. Fernando says that they have so much in common that they telepathically told each other that it’s time to leave. Aldo says he doesn’t want to leave, but Fernando insists. Aldo acquiesces. Everyone says their good-nights. The men make nice until the door and then try to rush out at the same time. Erasmo shakes his head and leaves for the kitchen; Julieta heads upstairs to talk with Lety.

Outside, the men spat some more about the pact. They accuse each other of not respecting it. Fernando accuses Aldo of trying to win Lety over with his “angel” face. Aldo says that Lety herself will decide, not her family. Erasmo walks through the house and overhears this conversation through the window. Next, the men argue over who Lety will chose and who loves Lety more. Fernando notices that Erasmo planted himself in between the two men and slyly says that the one who loves Lety the most is her father, Erasmo. Erasmo wants an explanation.

Julieta asks Lety about the doll. Lety says that it was an old one that she got when she was fifteen years old. Julieta advises Lety that she’s worried about the problem with Fernando and Aldo. They could have come to blows. Lety says that they wouldn’t have done that since they’re both civilized. Well, maybe Aldo is civilized. I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the fight outside Conceptos. I believe it was Aldo who sucker punched Fernando in the face first, not the other way around! Julieta understands, but she doesn’t want Erasmo to find out. It will put him in a bad mood. Julieta warns Lety that she must choose quickly.

Fernando explains to Erasmo that Aldo and Fernando are working on a commercial for Conceptos. Erasmo asks them to do him a big favor and leave. Erasmo says good night and goes back to his home. The men spat again. Since Aldo doesn’t have a car, Fernando takes him home.

Erasmo walks around the front room and tries to put it all together. He wonders to himself if it’s possible that Aldo and Fernando were fighting over Lety. At that moment Tomas comes to the door, but Erasmo ignores the doorbell. Tomas leaves the doorstep and cries to himself about this horrible day. He sits on the stoop and tries to figure out how to help Alicia. All of a sudden he realizes that he needs to make a sacrifice, just like Aldo. The problem is that he doesn’t have anything to sacrifice.

Lety and Julieta continue to discuss Lety’s upcoming decision. Erasmo enters the room and overhears Julieta telling Lety that both Fernando and Aldo love Lety. Erasmo catches them and accuses Julieta of being Lety’s accomplice.

About Angelica on Ugly Betty. I did some research and I found out a little information. Angelica will be on the finale of Betty when Betty takes off to Mexico to reconnect with her Mexican roots. There has been no mention, as far as I could find, whether Angelica will be portraying post or pre finale Lety. For those who don’t want to know anything that might happen on Fea, you may want to be careful if you watch this episode. I think it’s supposed to air May 17th. I know I’m thrilled, and I’m sure you guys are too!

Zorro Wednesday April 18, 2007: Where reports of Zorro's death seem premature.

Zorro is lying in the prison courtyard and everyone is muy impactado. In fact, they are all just kinda standing around, doing nothing. SAM is in his cell feeling sad about Zorro’s impending fate. Pizarro decides it is best to hit a man when he is down and makes a lunge toward Z with his sword. Suddenly the gitanos are spurned to action. They prevent Piza from following through and a melee ensues. Renzo and Piza get into a hand-to-hand combat and Piz tells Renzo that he will cut his head off just like he did to Miguel. Zorro leaps up, attacks Piza, and saves Renzo. Z is bleeding and then collapses again to the ground. Renzo returns the favor and saves Zorro from being killed. The gitanos and Zorro manage to escape back into the prison. Here they decide to split up. Jonas tells Renzo to take Sara Kali to the safe house, he’ll leave with another group to throw off the soldiers. Zorro tells them he’ll create a distraction here at the prison. Meanwhile, outside the blocked door, Pizarro is ordering the soldiers to get a canon. Piza has also figured out that the gitanos were after SK.

Zorro manages to hold off the soldiers while the gitanos escape. He is able to get away by throwing firebombs and blocking the prison exit. Back inside the prison, Piza makes a beeline straight to SK’s cell. He finds Auggie and Manny. They fill him in on the gypsy surprise attack and Piza tells them that they’ll pay for their ineptitude with their lives.

Zorro makes it to Tornado and tells him to return him back to the cave. Tornado, seemingly able to understand, heads toward home.

Montero finds out from the prison break from the soldier looking for Esmeralda. He starts to mentally put the pieces together---that Esme’s disappearance and the prison break are connected.

Fernando looks for Maria Pia and curses Sara Kali for all of his problems. He wonders how Almudena knew that SK was alive.

Away from prison, the gitanos fill SK in on how Zorro helped them with her escape. Bernardo meets the gitanos at the arranged spot. He gives Javier a note from Zorro. It says that Bernie, Diego’s servant, is here to help and is trustworthy. Bernie pretends he can’t hear---I assume this will come into play at a later point in the story. Bernie signs about Zorro and Javier fills him in on what happened. Bernie looks worried (ulcer-1).

In his prison cell, SAM observes that Monty’s luck is up.

Piza is briefing Monty. Monty is livid, how could she escape right under their noses. Piza tells him about the secret door, he has no idea how they found it. Monty is concerned about the soldiers keeping quiet, if the Viceroy hears about SK actually being at the prison and escaping the jig will be up. Monty says they have to get SK back. Monty gets in Piza’s face. I’m thinking Smithers likes the close proximity. Monty is pissed off, the VCR will for sure kill them when he finds out about SK. He wants to know how this all happened. Piza blames Zorro and speculates that the gitanos must have had some inside help because it all seemed easy for them. Monty writes up a game plan 1)Find the leak inside 2)Find Sara Kali 3) Kill Zorro. Piza tells Monty that Z was gravely injured in the fight at the prison. It looked bad, surely he's dead. Monty smiles his weasely smile. Now, he decides how to execute his plan. They are going to terrorize the city, they’ll make the peasants talk. He orders Piza to send some men to the de la Vega’s. He is sure that Diego and/or Alejandro had something to do with the evening’s events. Piza leaves and Monty says to himself, that with Zorro gone there is no one to stop him.

Esme and her mother are reunited in the safe house. SK has an amazingly large paddle lock on the back of her paper mache mask. The women embrace and express how happy they are to be together. There does not seem to be any rush to get that mask off. Finally, Esme tells her mother it is truly her day to be free---she’s got the key to the mask.

Zorro makes it to the Bat Cave.

Dolores and Juan are talking. She is afraid because she saw the shadow of a person go past the window, but when she looked no one was there (it was Olmos returning Mangle). She and Juan rehash the Indians and Al. Dolo worries about Al (ulcer-2).

Al’s meeting with White Buffalo. His shirt is now back on, so no view of his pecs. WB tells Al that Yumali and Purina (I know it’s not her name, but can’t help but calling her that) are sisters. Yumi is shocked….yep that because you slept with your dead sister’s husband, ICK.

Olmos is sitting in the cantina drinking away his blues. He is testy to the barmaid. He wonders what is happening and speculates that SK must be dead by now. He reveals to no one but the viewing audience that he is working for the Duke of Jacobo, who is back in Spain.

Which takes us to our next scene, in España. The Queen and the Duke are meeting. She comments how he is the second most powerful man in Spain, right behind her husband. The two discuss the colonial problems. The Queen wants to travel to the New World and the Duke is concerned about her safety.

Finally, Esme uses the key to free her mom’s face. Hermes finds a mirror. We see SK’s mug for the first time. It is a little red, but none the worse for the wear.

The soldiers arrive at the de la Vega home. Dolo tells them that both Al and Diego are out for the evening. After the soldiers leave, Dolo prays for Al and Diego because she is worried about them (ulcer-3).

Renzo and Javier do a little rehash. Renzo wants to talk with Esme and SK. Javi says give them some time alone.

Collapsed on the cave floor, Zorro has flashbacks to the day of his Zorro graduation. He manages to get up, leans against the cave wall (which looks like it is made out of snow) and leaves drops of blood behind.

WB and Al smoke a ridiculous looking pipe. Al wonders why the tribe made him believe that they have been wiped out all of these years. WB says that powerful people wanted them dead, so they thought it would be best to just stay hidden. WB asks about Tisha (little Diego) and asks how Yumi and Al met. They tell of how she was trying to kill Fernando and WB says that it was the one-eyed man who killed Regina-Purina. Al has his intense face, so intense I think his eyes were going to pop out of their socket.

Maria Pia and Dena are alone in one of the bedrooms in the Sanchez home (I’m sure their trip back from San Diego was equally as quick as their lightening speed journey there). They rehash the almost wedding and its interruption. Dena worries for Sara Kali (ulcer-4) and tells MP that they need to get out of there before Fernando returns….my question is this, why did you go to Fernando’s house in the first place!?!?! Fernando is home, is downstairs and is yelling for Dena. MP says she wants to talk to him and Dena advises her to give him time to cool down. Fernando bursts into the room. Dena tries to stop him and he pushes her out of the way, knocking her down and knocking her out. He drags MP out of the room (here is the point where his behavior is getting vile…..I’m not liking Fernando right about this point).

SK and Esme rehash how Fernando kept them apart and how he had SK locked up all these years. Esme asks her mom about her history and SK tells Esme that her mother, Esme’s grandmother, was rightfully the next in line for the Spanish crown. Esme is shocked. SK goes on to say that she never had an interest in the crown, but Fernando found out and has been blackmailing the Spanish court ever since.

Around town, the soldiers are attacking the citizens. They will search every house until they find what they are looking for. Piza announces to the people that there will be a reward for finding Zorro. One of his soldiers comes and tells Piza that the gitanos have left their camp, no one was there. All that remained was their stuff.

Mendez reports to Monty that Al and Diego were not home. Monty deduces that they must have been part of the prison break. He orders the soldiers to take over the de la Vega home and says that if Diego or Al return they are to be locked up as traitors to the Crown.

Zorro staggers around the cave. He is bleeding profusely and collapses on the ground.

MP is alone with Fernando and she calls him crazy. She tells him that she is sure that Dena did not make up the undead wife. She tells FS that he has lied to her time and time again. He says he had to lie to her because he HAD to get her to marry him. MP tells him that she never wants to see him again. FS grabs a pistol. She tells him to go ahead and kill her. In fact, she taunts him to do it. He tells her that it isn’t worth living without her and points the gun toward himself. She makes a grab for it and they struggle over the gun. Suddenly it goes off and by the look on Fernando’s face, it would seem that Maria Pia is the one with the bullet in her.

Renzo pledges himself to his queen, Sara Kali. He tells her that they owe it all to Zorro. Esme asks about Zorro and Renzo tells her that Pizarro shot him in the back. It appeared to be a mortal wound. We are treated to a close up of Esme and Bernardo’s faces. It appears they are seriously worried (ulcers- 4 & 5). END OF EPISODE/ Final Ulcer Count = 5

Duelo de Pasiones - Wed April 18 - Alina thinks Thelma is her Friend

I had a power outage last night so I went to a friends to watch and record this very important (not) episode. Unfortunately I relied on the taping skills of my friends son and did not check to make sure the show was recorded properly. It was not. On top of that failure I spent some time chatting during the show and not paying 100% attention. This said I do have some details to impart. First there were 50+ (I counted) scene changes in last nights show. The most important part was that Castulo tied poor Santos to a tree and left him to survive the rugged mountain environment. He screamed and cried Auxilio (help!) to no avail.

Maximo almost sucked a whole rose off its stem as he relished hearing the details of Santos’ predicament as Castulo gave him the details. Maximo finished his rose sucking to gleefully think of how Rosita would finally be his.

Angel the clairvoyant dreams that Alina is in trouble. He wakes to warn Emilio of his premonitions. Emilio quickly dismisses the notion that Alina could be in harms way.

Carmen goes to the casita of Rosita and Braulio looking for Santos. They are shocked to see her and spend the whole episode trying to figure out where could Santos be in between worrying about him.

Luba tries to get Gaspar enlisted to her Save Alina Crusade. Gaspar thinks it would better if Alina is left with Orlando, that way Orlando wont be after his Munequita. Luba is exasperated with Gapsar. Gaspar is stubborn and refuses to help the whole show.

Alina recounts her brush with being raped at the hands of the Lieutenant Orlando to Vera. Vera, ever the compassionate resident of Stupidville doubts Alina’s story. She tells Alina that the Lieutenant has always been so nice to her. ...

Orlando tells Thelma how his rape attack was interrupted by Tonky/Donky the sweet little guard doggy/ best resident of Stupidville. Orlando tells Thelma that he wants to kill the dog. Thelma is all for the idea.

Don Loco sits down in Marinas room to have a chat with her about the real nature of their fathers death. Their father (as told by Don Loco) was a broken and destroyed man from the years of hurt brought on by their mothers' cheating ways. There is a flash back showing their father looking weak (skinny) and not at all like a rancher but more like an academic, walking along a cliff. The father sits down, dangling his legs into the air over a steep drop below the cliff. He then uses his arms to push himself off the cliff and over the side. All the while young Alvaro calls his name.

Young Alvaro sees his fathers death, knowing that his father didn’t accidentally fall like people thought, but that he committed suicide because according to Don Loco he was dead inside. Marianas eyes bulge as she listens to Don Loco tells his tale. DL ends his story by saying his fathers suicide impacted him so much that he will never forgive Soledad for her betrayal.

Creepy Doc is at the Meson de Edelmiras (why would he be there?! but I digress) when he is approached by Sergio who tells him el Patron wants to see him.

Santos calls into the night Help! Help! He hears rustling in the woods near him. He panics. Who’s there he calls. Help me. Doctor Zavala shows up next to Santos to ask why he is there. The rest of this scene I did not follow. Reader perhaps you can help fill in the details.

Emilio gazes at the stupid necklace and throws it into his suitcase vowing to never touch it again or something like that.

Creepy Doc/Ricardo meets with Don Loco in the hacienda office. Don Loco tells him that he realizes that Mariana needs medical treatment and that Sierra Escondida doesn’t have all the things she will need for her therapy. He asks Ricardo to help him by buying all the things Marina will need to get better. Ricardo is dubious at first but relents. He takes a huge wad of cash from Don Loco just as Adela conveniently comes in with some coffee. She sees Ricardo accepting the money.

Vera has just told Thelma all the details of what Alina has said to her about the attempted rape. Thelma tells Vera she needs to talk with Alina, she’s her friend too after all. Vera buys it and takes Thelma with her to Alinas room. Alina opens the door thinking it is Vera but Thelma pushes herself in and sends Vera off. Thelma works on stupid Alina’s feelings by telling her that Orlando feels bad for what he did. He only did it because he lost his head for her (with love). Alina tries to tell her side of things as Thelma pretends to listen. Thelma pretends to side with Alina. She tells Alina she will punish Orlando. Alina wisely believes her.

Coral goes to check on her hubby Don Celso to find him passed out. It doesn’t look good for the old Don. She calls 911, crying through her conversation asking for Auxilio! Help! She begs Don Celso not to leave her. (It appears her hair is now one color. My she has matured in marriage.)

As Ricardo is leaving the hacienda he is met by a gun toting Sergio who demands that Ricardo return the $$$$ that Loco just gave him. Ricardo is confused and angry but returns the money. He doesn’t understand why Loco would play a game like that with him. Gosh I think we have found our newest citizen of Stupidville.

Jaime, Ifigenio and Vera talk about what happened to Alina. Jaime immediately believes Alinas story while Vera argues for Orlando’s innocence. They get into quite a big disagreement with Jaime and Ifigneio incredulous that Vera could stand up for Orlando much less Thelma. But that is just what Vera does. Jaime points to his scar on his face for emphasis as he storms out of the kitchen. (Can we all tell I watched this part but didn’t really pay attention? So sorry. I was counting on the tape.)

Elias spies Ricardo at the Meson de Edelmiras. He goes to Ricardos table and asks to sit down. Ricardo is taken back a little. Who is this mustached man he probably is thinking. After Elias orders them both some beers they get around to sharing personal information. Elias is shocked to learn Ricardo knows Loco. They tell each other their horror stories of dealing with the man.

In between trying to get Gaspar to join her rescue brigade Luba prays to the Virgin Mary. At one point Don Loco goes to visit her. He wants the chest returned to him. Luba is shocked to realize it was stolen by Loco and then shocked to learn it was stolen from Loco. Luckily Don Loco leaves without hitting her or doing any real harm. She prays a little more to the Virgin about the safety of the box (cofre).

Emilio sends Thelma a telegram announcing that he and Angel will be arriving at Sierra Escondida that evening. Thelma realizes that she and Orlando will have to step up their plans to Alina raped before Emilio arrives. Orlando and Thelma devise a plan.

Alina is locked in her room talking to the dog when she hears Thelma screaming at Orlando outside her door. She hears Thelma say she is going to kick Orlando out. Alina goes to peek out. We the viewers are treated to seeing Orlando and Thelma laugh as they play fight outside Alinas door to trick her to come out.

Scenes from tomorrow show some drugging of a drink, Alina drinking said drink, and Orlando locking Alina in her room. Can she be saved once again?!

La Fea Más Bella #256 4/18/07 Tables turn as Galan moves into the closet, cuartel get a new roomie, and Heeeee's Baaaccckkk!

Senorita? Erasmo asks. Don’t you think it’s dangerous to go around by yourself at this time of night? Aurora asks if he’s not afraid too? He says he is, he’s only trying to get rid of his insomnia, but you are a lady and dressed so provocatively with all of those expenisve things and all that’s going on in this city nowadays. He thinks she’s risking too much. Don’t your parents worry about you? Do they want you walking around late like this? You should go home and get some sleep and reflect about how you are acting and not go out at night anymore. You should take care of that pleasant face of yours. He blesses her and then walks away. She wonders how she is going to get into the house now. Mucho eyetwitches.

Tomas is at Alicia’s building begging to be let in to her apartment because she hasn’t responded to him and he’s worried something happened. The guard tells him maybe no one is home, but once he finds out who he is looking for, he lets him know that she doesn’t live there anymore. Tomas is impactado.

Alicia at a local park is lamenting her situation that she has nowhere to sleep and is cold. Just then Sara comes upon her and asks what she’s doing here, sarcastically saying don’t tell me you are conducting an anthropological study about poorness. She starts to agree that’s why and Sara realizes she’s fibbing and that she really has nowhere to go. Alicia denies it, then a homeless person tells the gossiping loudmouths to shut up so he can sleep. In unison she and Sara both tell the vulgar man to shut up! Jinx. They smile at each other, awww. Bonding.

Erasmo tells Julieta how proud he is of his daughter for being decent and principled and not going around like that woman he came upon, without scruples, overdressed and made up etc. with no shame. Moty is making himself comfortable on the bed. Lety comes up and listens in to Papa saying these things, but she makes a noise and papa wonders who is there. She barks like Moty and runs into her room. Erasmo looks down and sees Moty on the bed, impressed at his ventriloquism. Juli tells him he should go to bed, it’s just a dog outside.

Lety admires herself in her best Aurora voice saying finally she’s herself again. Scared of her own Aurora voice, she starts talking in Lety speak to herself wondering what her parents would really think if they knew she was this other person and lying to the whole world. She thinks her pa would kill her, but her mom would probably understand, though she decides she’s not going to worry them with this. Besides she won’t be Aurora anymore and she’ll keep this little adventure of a Fea to herself until maybe someday she’ll tell them. She then starts writing in her diary wondering who she should stay with Aldo or Fer. She looks at the pictures of them and can’t decide. It’s easy to decide about being Aurora or Lety, but not between these two guys. She says good bye to Aurora forever. (Yeah right) What to do about the galans. Wish I had that problem.

Lola and PM are pawns to a product promo as they enjoy eating some Tia Rosa tortillinas very prominently displayed center screen. I almost wondered if I shouldn't even mention them by name here since it's just more free advertising for them. Anyway, PM says she’s a great cook, Lola says it’s the tortillinas. PM is very pleasantly dressed for being in home. She should wear things like this to work instead, really. Just then Sara knocks on the door she tells them it’s an emergency. Sara tells them sometimes in life one has to rise above the situation, forgive and forget. They want to know what the heck. Sara says it’s not about me, but this poor foolish, foolish woman. Again, what the heck.

She opens the door to reveal that she has brought the Oxi for refuge. Sara tells her where she was found. Reluctantly, they let her in and finally agree to let her stay. Sara trips over the luggage and the Oxi thanks them for their generosity and makes a beeline for the food. She too makes her plug for the tortillinas and proceeds to enjoy the chow.

Fern is in his house staring at his stalker er, Lety shrine, Aldo is drawing his stalker picture of Lety to look at (looks like the one she used to have in her office from that other guy), Lety is mentally excercising her decision, and Omar is in his apartment penning his latest line of Jalmarks, this time for Aurora.

Now the next day, the three are together waiting for Ariel to start the meeting he called and Fer is mad that Ariel calls a meeting then shows up late. Omar on the other hand says life is great and sings praises for his Aurora, and wants to read his card. I would think this would be a sore spot for those three, and thankfully Fer tries to stop him, but somehow Lety is amused and tells him to proceed, and she even laughs. They don’t understand why of course. She says it’s 'cause he’s a good reader. He continues: “Your curls are golden like the sun, your lips are a moment of sensuality. Your hands are as delicate as a bud.” Just then they each get a text message from Domensain. Fer says he does not read them if they are from Aldo. Fer is perturbed that Lety and Aldo are “messaging.”

Ok I’m curious about the unusual brown/white polka dot blazer/kimono thing Lety chose today, I don’t know, it’s like Kate Spade meets Samurai loungewear.

Simon is discussing Oxi’s plight with the cuartel who is mad that she ate all the breakfast. Simon says he’ll bring her whatever she wants to eat. She doesn’t want anything from him. Just then Colonel Klink, er, Ariel walks in, he is complaining to Celso to carry himself properly or he will be sent on his way. Celso starts to call him Don Fer but catches himself. He is barking orders at everyone, even Luigi who protests being yelled at but likes Ari's watch.

Ariel summons everyone to the meeting room, rapido. Everyone. To tell them about his decision for the firm. They all get in there and he says he’s getting rid of half of the people. Omar and Fer are no longer needed. Fer protests that he is an owner and associate and can’t be let go. Ariel tells him he still doesn’t need to be an employee. Fer tells him, but I’m a shareholder and this is a meeting of advisement so I’m not going anywhere. A says fine, I’ll get rid of the failures and the inept ones now, so Lety, you can go. Fer says over my dead body. Ariel likes the challenge and gets ready to duke it out when the doorman, uh Alpo, rides in on his white horse, uh, I mean in a crimson smoking jacket/military coat thingy. He asks if everything is alright, and Luigi violently shakes his head no, and Lety just beams. Blech. Oh well.

Fer asks Ariel to explain his genius plan to Alpo and they spill the beans that Ariel wants them all out and the first to go is Lety. Aldo tells them all decisions must get his approval, Ariels's committee has no authority. He tells him he bought the debt so he has every right to say that. Ariel says his best advice is that he will lose all of his money. Alpo says his best advice for Ari is that he leave. Alpo continues that the people here are already the most capable of continuing the business. Ariel won’t be missed. The room hisses with appreciation. The whole lot of them happily wave goodbye to Ariel on his way out. Ari says this isn’t going to end here. Aldo says nice to meet you too, as@h(&$, (ok, well no not really, but I would have). Outside he runs into Marcia and informs her of the happenings. She questions why he doesn’t fight for this. He warns her he will but he wants to talk to the lawyers first.

Back in the meeting, everyone cheers Aldo. He says everything will stay as it was for now. Fer asks about the debt. Mar walks in and snips that all the “staff” are there, that this isn’t really any of their business. Aldo tells them to stay and that he bought the business to help because if he didn’t it would have been liquidated today and everyone would be out on their butts, but it’s not, so you aren’t. Ok, now you can leave.

Fer says thanks. Aldo tells him thanks aren’t necessary as this isn’t a gift. You owe me all the money, but you won’t have to pay it for 6 months, a better deal than the judge gave you. They all agree and he says there will be interest, which makes their eyes round, but at the lowest market rate. They calm. Lety says that’s very fair and the business will cover it. Luigi thinks he’s the best owner ever, Fer says he’s not the owner. Aldo agrees, but he still makes the decisions for now. He asks one thing though, does Lety still want to be president? She says NO.

The cuartel discusses the meeting.

Tomas shows up and laments that Oxi is gone. PM thinks it’s great. T says she lives in his memory etc. They say no she lives in Lola’s house. He gets happy. So we go to the house where she is “babysitting” the kids. She waits for the cuartel to call her, while the kids ask to play a game. She decides to play a game with them that she is a star. She starts singing and the kids begin to cringe.

Aldo asks Lety why she doesn’t want to be president anymore. She says she does, but she doesn’t but she wants to talk to him first. Fer says ok, lets all go to your office. She says no sorry, alone with Aldo. Fer says yes of course, so then you two will go to your office then. He is of course troubled. Aldo smiles. Omar tells Fer he’s going to suffer again. Fer thanks the idiot for reminding him. They leave. Everyone else leaves except for Lopez who gets suggestive assistance from Fer. Marcia comments that surely Lety will decide in favor of Aldo very soon. Fer gets impactado.

Lety asks why he bought the debt without letting her know first. She might actually be wearing some big panties today. He says because he was anxious about her promise to the Mendos and that’s why she wouldn’t go to Acapulco with him. He tells her is only intention was to set her free, so that she could decide without any pressure to stay here.

She tells him, until he asked her about remaining president she really thought he was trying to manipulate the situation. (NO kidding?) L -You were expecting me to resign no? He says yes. She says, I couldn’t leave or I would really feel like a failure. But, you want to know what bugs me the most? It’s that when you saw me kissing Fer and you left ,well I discovered…he interrupts, you discovered…she continues what I really feel for you. He says you're mad that you discovered your feelings? She tells him she was sure she loved Fer. He says and now you don’t? She says yes, but it’s that…he leans in again and asks if she loves him. She is startled.

He asks again if she loves him, deaf one.

In the locker room Omar is razzing Fer about Lety’s conversation with Aldo. Omar tells him to think hard about why Gargoleti likes Alpo better than him. He continues, it’s obvious, because Aldo sacrificed much for her, but what did you give her, problems, a headache, suffering and the like. Fer says he thanks God everyday for a friend like him. Fer says he made her suffer but he also sacrificed for her. He sacrificed his love for her happiness to let her be free to choose Aldo if she wants. He doesn’t think Alpo will do the same.

Aldo is telling Lety that he learned from his Mom that love is sacrifice and one should give all they have for it, but he says that he’s not a saint (news to us) and yes, he gave her everything, but he did it so that she will be happy with him. Lety tells Aldo that she needs him with her. Aldo tells her to have faith in herself. When you finally tell me that you love only me, I know it will be forever. He tells her not to get upset, that he cares about her a lot. She cares about him too. Double Blech.

The cuartel Aldo lust fest resumes. They fawn over him and then show him the Aurora picture. He says she’s pretty, but he prefers someone more down to earth, like Lety. PM is surprised that he admitted it in the open. He says he has nothing to hide that the whole world should know that he is in love with her. He asks after Fer.

Once he leaves the cuartel speculates that Fer and Aldo are going to fight, but they decide that their mission is to discover who the mystery woman is so that they can win the dinner with none other than our principal papalote hunk Colunga!!!! The paper must be sponsoring this contest.

Omar tells Fer to stop walking in circles, that it is making him dizzy, and Fe counters that he’s sick of Aurora talk. Omar says not to compare the two, Gargolety has nothing on Aurora. They spar about whose love is better until Aldo enters and breaks up the fun. Al wants to talk. Omar hesitates to leave until Fer compels him to. Fer apologizes to Aldo saying to forgive the slow learner.

Ok, this conversation bugged me. Fern asks Al what the real reason was for buying the debt. Aldo firmly says for Lety’s love. Fer says, of course, you are glad to be a step ahead of me. Holier than thou Domensain then proceeds to tell Fer that everything he has, he got by his own hand, that he never asked for his Dad’s help, in contrast with immature Fer who got everything from his Papi, including the business that he ran into the ground. Aldo matured from his hard knocks, and Fer grew up as daddy’s little boy, and that kept him from maturing and made him selfish.

Fer tells him he has no idea what it was like to grow up in his house, nor whether it was easy or difficult but he will warn him of one thing, that he, himself, will end up with Leticia.

The cuartel on their Colunga mission go in to see Lety, to see if they can get her to hire the woman mysterioso for a commercial so they can find out who she is. She is of course impactada. They beg her, then the conversation turns to ask about what will happen to the Oxi. Tomas begs that he be allowed to hire her. Lety says for that he'd first have to ask Marcia since Ali was her assistant.

Back at Aldo and Fer’s heart to heart, Aldo asks Fer if he realizes that he can’t make someone love him. Fer says of course, he says the same thing. Now Aldo breaks out the big ammo. He tells Fer that he saw how much Lety suffered because of what Fer did to her and that he hurt her a lot and that he doubts that he even knows how to love her.

Fer tells Aldo that Aldo has no idea how much he has suffered for Lety and that he knows very well what it means to be in love and to love her. He proposes a pact between them, that neither can be alone with Lety without the other knowing about it.

They shake, but Aldo tells him that in the meantime he just wants to say that he hopes Fer suffocates, and Fer retorts that he hopes Aldo drowns or chokes.

Lety for some unexplained reason goes in to talk to Marcia who makes a smart remark about being a loser. Lety says she’s not a loser. Mar says, you are right I’m a double loser, because not only did I give Fer to you for nothing, but I gave him to you so that you can despise him.

Lety says that’s not true, that she loves him. Mar says, yeah, as much as Aldo, you have a big heart then, capable of making everyone around it suffer. Lety says no she doesn’t want to hurt anyone, that this whole thing is bigger than she is.

Mar smartly tells her to stop playing the victim, that she is much more astute than she lets on, and she knows what she is doing. She says no, I’m the same Lety that came here to Conceptos. She parts by telling Marcia that really, she wants her to be happy.

Omar & Fer are again discussing their women. Fer is worried about losing Lety and wonders how he can be close to Lety without her feeling pressured by him. Omar has an idea. He tells Fer that he should be her secretary. Yeah, he just wants Fer out of “their” office!

Fer goes in with his toys and tells Lety he’s decided he’s going to be her assistant and he’s going to take over the closet. She is, of course, impactada. She doesn’t think that’s a good idea, and since when did he think that dark hole was an office. He says it’s not a dark hole, it’s a very nice office. She agrees.

He admits that yes, he wants to do this to be close to her. Besides that, he explains that no one trusts him, and that his parents must trust Ariel more than they trust him because they allowed Ari to try and be president and don’t think Fer’s capable of running the business. Fe continues, “I need to demonstrate that I can be humble, and that I can work hard.”

She asks if he really thinks he’ll get that by becoming her assistant. He calls her Dona Lety and tells her that yes, he really wants to gain her trust, because he knows she trusts Aldo more, even though she doesn’t say it. He doesn’t blame her because Aldo’s turned into the Savior of their business. She says yes, he’s been very generous.

Fer tries to be gracious and reluctantly agrees, he has, but notes how the tables have turned, that now he’s in debt to a guy that he finds, well, not that pleasing, well, and Lety interrupts that you find him very displeasing. Yes, I dislike him, but I appreciate the opportunity to save my business, my parents' business.

Just then Aldo walks in. He notes that Fer is not respecting their pact. He walks up to Lety and gropes her like old times. Lety wants to know, what pact?

Destilando 4/18 - In which Aaron anticipates bonbons but gets spinach, and then gets socked again.

  • The Montalvo family is in their skyscraper in Mexico City. They've gathered for a board meeting. It begins with champagne as Aaron and Minerva smugly announce their pregnancy. Aaron's mother (who was Hipolita's weevily mother in Alborada) squints happily as she daydreams about her son raking in all the spoils as per Amador's will.

Rod happily and graciously toasts the parents-to-be.

  • In this very same skyscraper, on the very same floor, Gaviota is being interviewed by Aaron's henchman Medina. Rod is but a few feet away, pacing back and forth, trying to get Roman or James on the phone. He wants them to hire more detectives now that he remembers Gaviota's real name. She's right behind him when he is whispering her name and saying he's desperate. What a tease.

  • Gaviota (aka Maria Franco Villarreal) tells scads of lies to Medina. She took this curriculum, that curriculum, she was in management at the Holly Hill Hospital in London and ran a chain of Italian restaurants in Paris with Benvenuto Verduci. And of course, "I speak English and French and a little German." She says she doesn't have her papers with her; Medina says if she's chosen she'll have to come up with the documents and her references will be called. "I left Europe to work at home because I was tired of being cold, my nose was red and my teeth chattered." She pointlessly tells him the lengths of various rivers - the longest is in Mexico. He asks if she's an experienced editor. She says not really, but she learns fast and is very responsible.

  • Counting the little chicken before it's hatched... Aaron's mother doesn't want to be called Granny, rather, something affectionate like "Tita." Aaron says he will name his son Aaron. Have they not considered that 50% (approximately) of births are female?

  • Aaron's executive secretary, the mature and competent Elvira, enters the boardroom with papers; Rod laughs incredulously to think of his cousin with such an unsexy secretary.

Aaron calls her an "android" but boasts he'll be choosing his next secretary bonbon from a bevy of beauties; he suggests Rod come interview them with him. "Will you be 'casting' in a motel?" "No, first I select one, the hotel comes later." Minerva is watching and thoughtbubbles: "You'll be surprised to see your new secretary." She has told Medina that she, Minerva, will be hand-picking the final candidates.

Minerva leaves the meeting for a bit to sequester herself with Medina and pick over the job aspirants' resumes. "Is my husband choosing a model or a secretary?" "He's fussy about appearances." Minerva looks at Gaviota's resume and snorts, "I remember her, forget it, with her body he'll make her a Vice-President in a week."

  • TWB tells Sofia she loves the new deluxe apartment and hopes it will keep Rod in the city. Sofia reveals the "macho" will Amador left behind - it's winner-gets-all in the race to produce a little (male) heir. "So you HAVE to get pregnant." TWB fears that will be difficult since she and Rod have never had sex - she's tried everything. "The only thing I haven't done is disguise myself as a jimadora"

  • At the hotel, Sra Flavia busts Gaviota. Sarcastic rhetorical questions: Why are you so late? Are you in fact sick as your healer mother feared? Did you go to the doctor dressed like that? Gav tells a bunch more lies and gets away with it. Nancy wants to hear all about the interview. "I didn't meet Aaron but I got his card. Tomorrow I'll be his new secretary."

  • In the boardroom, a Powerpoint presentation: "Montalvo tequila around the world." I say, in chorus with Sofia and TWB:, "The tedious ciphers are over, I hope." In conclusion, Montalvo had its biggest, most profitable quarter ever.

Aaron rubs it in: "Dad, in my first time out I did better than you ever did." Dad doesn't mind. Aaron and Patricio will bring the business to new heights.

The lawyer says, "Don't forget the importance of the excellent agave crop, for which Rod deserves the credit."

Aaron wants to make more expensive, upscale tequila to capture a wealthier consumer base.

Everybody wants Rod to stay in the city. He demurs. "My parents never left the land and I won't either."

Aaron asks lawyer Videgaray about the mysterious undisclosed provision in his grandfather's will. "It can't be revealed for three more years."

  • Gav gets home from work. Clara marvels over Gav's hair and imagines what a wonderful vision she must have been, entering the interview in her magnificent white dress with gold ribbon (over which Clara slaved all night).

Gav admits she didn't wear the romantic white dress : "It's meant for an elegant party, not work." She shows the suit she bought "as an investment" and tells Clara she had to tell a lot of lies.

Clara is horrified to hear the only true datum Gav presented at her interview was her contact number. She even fears Gav could go to jail. "Ma, I had to, I want to be an important executive." "This isn't the way! I'm disgusted. I don't want a chapucera for a daughter." [slapdash, botched]

Gav gets mad. "Should I have told the truth, that I'm a migrant worker, that I don't even know my own father's name."

They make up, even though Clara's still worrying that all those lies will come back and bite Gav, and maybe Rod will show up. "If he does, he'll find Maria Villarreal, a woman very different from the one he knew."

  • Granny, Sofia, TWB and Rod are in the apartment, which it turns out is a belated wedding present. Rod says it's an unnecessary expense. "Not if you visit more often."

After Granny and Sofia leave, TWB starts wheedling again and Rod curtly says it's no use, he isn't going to be staying, in fact they'll be leaving shortly. "But I like being near my parents." "Come here whenever you like, I don't have to come with you. Anyway, don't unpack, we're going back to the hacienda tomorrow." He wants to leave in the morning but she begs for an extension to the evening so she can shop.

  • Isadora's parents arrive as Rod is leaving. Her dad admits he's bankrupt.

  • Aaron is muy impactado when he sees the passel of feas his wife has chosen. He throws their resumes on the floor in a snit. Medina says they are well qualified and intelligent. "You know perfectly well what kind of secretary I want, and she doesn't need to be smart, I have Elvira for that." He says there isn't time for a new announcement, and why did Medina make such mediocre selections?

Medina admits it was Minerva's doing.

Aaron chooses the least ugly one and gives her the job, saying "don't think of making an alliance with Elvira, much less my wife. Everthing that happens in my office is secret."

Rod arrives and, once again, Aaron rides him about his "problem" saying, "I'm glad the jimadora got you over that hump - she must be a real professional." Rod socks him again, saying, "Gaviota is the love of my life."

  • Finally, at the hotel Gav is driving her friend Nancy crazy with her impatient waiting for the call offering her the Montalvo job. Since Aaron has, however reluctantly, hired somebody else, the call, obviously, doesn't come.

Gav decides to be proactive: she'll go see Aaron.

Acorralada #67 Tuesday 4/17/07 show pre-empted

The show was pre-empted by live coverage of the Virginia Tech story.

Duelo de Pasiones - Tuesday 4/17/07 - Jiffy Pop Jiffy Pop the Gaspar treat, it makes Thelma fat and it swells her feet.

Orlando and Alina are riding. He proposes marriage to her but she refuses, nicely I might add, and says he's a good friend but she doesn't love him. He scowls, like he's the only person in the world whose ever heard that. Boo hoo.

Angel reads Alina's letter and comments to Emilio that it sounds like she and Orlando are getting mighty chummy. Emilio tells him not to worry, Orlando knows Angel plans to marry her. Angel reads aloud to Emilio the part of Alina's letter that she asks him to keep from Emilio, that Emilio hates her and ordered Thelma to humiliate her. "That's weird," comments Emilio. Guess what? Angel accuses Emilio of still loving Alina. Guess what? Emilio denies it.

Orlando and Alina ride together and he thought bubbles, "You're going to be mine, if not by good means then by bad." Just then Tonki runs up. "Damn dog," Orlando thought bubbles,"now I'm going to have to wait!"

Donloco stares at Luba's box and recalls when Luba tried to give it to him some time ago (I don't know or remember exactly when). She was telling him that she wanted to talk to him about his mother. Alvaro rudely tells her he doesn't want to talk about That Woman and hey, what's in the box? Luba says it's something that will cause pain, it's a story of life or death that won't interest him.

Back in the present, Donloco wonders aloud about the box. Just as he's about to open it Sergio runs in. There's a quarrel at the coffee plantation and Donloco is needed immediately. The box remains on the desk, wrapped in twine. Probably hemp twine.

Luba is in Macario's cave. She complains that she can't get into the hacienda to give his potion to Thelma. Macario says it's the only way to remove the malignancy that is Thelma. Luba asks for something else, maybe an amulet that will make Thelma go crazy? Rubbing his chin, Macario says he can invoke a prayer that just might make her loca.

Gaspar bursts into Macario's cave and yells at Luba that what everybody says is true, she's a bad witch, a very bad witch!

Donloco's foreman tells him that all the workers want to go work at La Rinconada because they heard Sr. Valtierra gives raises. Donloco doesn't want to pay his workers more. I apologize, I didn't pay much attention to this conversation, except that Donloco got mad at the foreman, told him to shut up, told him not to tell him how to run his business, and insulted him by calling him a Banana Monkey. That last bit got my attention.

Gaspar yells at Luba and then turns his wrath on Macario, he calls him a naughty witch. Macario call Gaspar 'headless' and says he has no business talking to Macario that way. Macario actually refers to himself in the third person, talk about putting on airs. "Oh yeah?" yells Gaspar, "I'm stronger than you!" He proceeds to strangle the naughty witch. Luba knocks Gaspar on the head with a bottle and he's out cold.

Soledad feeds Mariana some pureed mangos or some other orange food when Donloco arrives bearing good news. Gosh, he seems so pleased with himself it must be something fabulous! He tells Mariana that her Dr. friend came to see her but he (Donloco) threw him (Dr. Love) out into the street along with his good intentions. Don't worry, he'll never come to bother her again! Mariana's eyes bug out and she starts to wheeze and choke.

Soledad scolds Donloco for being so insensitive and cruel to Mariana. "Wha...I thought she'd like to know he's an opportunist!" bawls Loco. Hmmmph, he leaves in a huff. Tears run down Mariana's face and Soledad realizes Mariana wanted to see the doc. "Ahhh, you love him," whispers Soledad.

Rosita tells Alina that she has some great news, she's going to marry Santos!! Somehow Don Max has managed to squeeze his girth behind some rocks; he eavesdrops on the girls and looks really pissed off to hear Rosita's happy news.

Orlando tells Thelma that Alina refused his proposal. Duh. Thelma cackles with glee. He says he was about to take Alina to dead Jose's cabin but then her maldito dog showed up and he had to abort the plan.

Don Max is in a right snit. He orders Castulo to kill Santos immediately or else. Castulo promises that he will kill Santos slowly and painfully.

Luba's box sits on Donloco's desk in the dark. Sinister flute music plays and something inside starts glowing. Does the box contain radioactive waste? A Dilithium Crystal? Green Kryptonite? Suddenly a pair of hands (they look feminine) snatch the box from the desk.

Alina tells Rosita and Vera that Orlando proposed to her but she refused because she doesn't love him. Vera seems kind of bummed, she thinks the Lietenant is cute and could help Alina out.

Soledad tells Mariana that she's come up with a way for Mariana to communicate with her and Adela. One eye blink means yes and two mean no, OK? Blink. Soledad asks is there anything that Mariana wants to tell her? Blink. About the doctor? Blink blink. Not the doctor, then Alvaro? Blink blink. Not Alvaro, then what? Mariana thought bubbles in Dobly 11 "I want to tell you about Jose, I had a daughter, the letter was for ME!" Soledad, clueless, pats Mariana's hand; for now they will just work on getting Mariana what she needs.

Luba wakes Gaspar. She says hitting him hurt her more than it did him. She didn't want a jailbird for a son. He begs her not to hurt Thelma. He knows Thelma is bad but he wants to see his little cub, he wants to hold it in his arms. Luba cries and says she wants a little cub too. They hug.

Santos and Rosita play kissy face outside her door. They don't seem to notice Castulo nearby on a very active and restless horse. She's worried about Santos riding to the pueblo at night.

Sergio is in Donloco's office. Donloco says Mariana's Dr. doesn't fool him and he sends Sergio off to find out where Dr. Love went. Alone, Donloco notices the box is gone. "What did I do with it? Am I going loco?"

Castulo ambushes Santos and tells him he has a message from his father. "He told me to kill you," Castulo says and slaps Santos off his horse. Castulo leaps off his own horse and puts a gun to Santos' head. He says before he kills Santos he's going to tell him a little secret, "It wasn't Don Max who raped Rosita, it was I! Bwahahahaha..." Santos lunges at Castulo and they wrassle around until Castulo punches Santos out. What happened to the ass-kicking Santos from last week? I miss him already. Maybe having sex with Rosita sapped his strength. Nahhh, I know from experience that such a thing doesn't exist. Quite the opposite. Oops, maybe I've said too much, back to the recap...

Donloco paces, wondering aloud where that damn woman is. "Alfonsina!!!!" he bellows. Alfonsina rushes in, shoving her decolletage into her tight dress, "I was just arranging myself to look pretty for you." He asks about the documents she put in front of his drunken face, what was it she was trying to get him to sign? She plays dumb but he doesn't fall for it. He keeps pressing... "Oh, THOSE papers," she admits, "just a game you invented in your drunkenness. You asked me to write a letter for you like the kiddies write to Santa, telling him what I always wanted and you were going to give it to me for being a good girl. Yeah, that's the ticket, a letter to Santa." Honestly, who writes this crap? They couldn't come up with a better story than a letter to Santa? Stupid Alvaro let's it go but he keeps calling her sonsa (idiot) throughout the conversation. What a guy.

Emilio visits Coral in her upscale house to cry on her shoulder about Alina. Dario the evil nephew eavesdrops for half a second before running off to his uncle. "Poor tio, this must be the dancer's other man."

Sergio tells Donloco that the rumor is the little Dr. ran off to San Mateo, probably for good. "You think he's going to leave his gold mine behind? He'll be back," says Donloco.

San Mateo - Santos's hot mom is making lots of shrimp cocktails for the noon rush. She's waiting for Santos to arrive, she dreamed of him all night and she's worried.

Orlando walks out to the stables with Ifigenia. Tonki runs toward Orlando and barks viciously at him. Tonki hates Orlando. Dogs can sense things you know. Orlando orders Jaime to tie Tonki up. Jaime does it begrudgingly, saying the señorita always likes Tonki free to accompany her.

Flor visits a swollen Thelma in her room. It must be time for the afternoon boring chat from hell. Thelma adjusts the watermelon under her shirt as Alina tells her that she's going with Orlando to see her mother. Thelma pretends to care. After Alina leaves Thelma tells her singing aunt that she hopes today is the day that Orlando does the dirty deed to Alina. "Poor girl," titters Auntie Estupida, which angers Thelma. She's sick of people feeling sorry for Alina. Join the club Jiffy Pop. Auntie says the lietenant's not so bad, she wouldn't mind being trapped by him. "That desperate, eh?" asks Thelma.

Santos wakes up tied to a tree. He yells for help. He's no MacGyver, that's for sure. Santos is the anti-MacGyver. He probably doesn't even own a roll of duct tape.

Orlando and Flor are riding. She's wearing a fetching tailored shirt that bulges apart at her cleavage, perhaps not the best thing to wear around a guy whose marriage proposal you just refused. Alina wonders where Tonki is. They see Jose's cabin and Alina says it brings back bad memories for her. Orlando says the best way to deal with those memories is to confront them by going directly into the cabin. "Duh, that's a great idea," stupid Alina says, smiling stupidly.

Soledad tells Mariana that Adela told her that she (Mariana) was good friends with the caporal Jose, true? Blink, pant, wheeze. Soledad sees that Mariana is affected and continues, did she know Jose had a daughter? Blink, grunt grunt, wheeze. Who is the daughter? Oops, Mariana's eyes bug out; she can't blink an answer to that one.

Emilio visits Angel's doctor to ask about his brother's progress. The doc tells Emilio that he should believe what his brother tells him. I know you all will be shocked to hear that those two sentences are the condensed version of three entirely separate scenes.

Orlando escorts Alina into the cabin and jams the door shut. He grabs her and tells her a man in love doesn't accept 'No' for an answer*. "You're going to be mine," he hisses. "Help! Help me!" she yells. "Help! Help her!" he yells back, mocking her.
* What an asshat would say

Tonky is tied to a cart back at La Rinconada. He barks and barks until Vera walks by and frees him. He runs like the wind. Run Tonki, run!!!

Donloco paces the house looking for the box. He accuses Adela of taking it. "I never saw the box," she insists, "are you sure you didn't imagine it?" This sets Donloco off and he paces and mutters with renewed vigor.

Alina struggles out of Orlando's grip and asks him what in the hell he thinks he's doing, she thought he was good. He blathers a bit about Emilio, Angel, the first time he saw Alina he loved her, yada yada...

Cut to Luba yelling at Gaspar outside the cabin. Alina tries to yell but Orlando covers her mouth.

Gaspar and Luba argue about what Gaspar will do to Macario if Luba doesn't stop casting spells on Thelma. She says she already told Macario to give it a rest. They stalk off in different directions. Things aren't looking good for Alina.

Donloco paces, obsesses about the box, and decides Luba must have stolen it back.

Dr. Ricardo Love is in the corrupt police station telling the corrupt police chief that he demands action against Donloco's criminal activities. He should be punished for denying his sister proper medical treatment. The corrupt chief calls in his corrupt policemen and tells them to arrest Dr. Love. He will call Donloco and ask him what to do with this city doctor. Dr. Love is muy impactado.

In the middle of Orlando's premeditated rape, he and Alina have a stupid conversation about whether or not she loves Emilio. I'm wondering what does it matter? Orlando plans to rape her so what's up with the yackety yack?

Soledad tells Adela that Mariana knows who Jose's daughter is. She'll call Alvaro in and Mariana can tell him to his face, by one blink I guess, that Soledad is innocent. Oy vay. Adela's not convinced that Donloco will believe Mariana's blink. Ya think?

Slimy Dario, evil nephew of Celso, tells his uncle that Coral already has another lover. Celso gets angry and kicks him out. Finally, somebody with one brain cell's worth of sense. Coral comes to Celso's bedside, he wisely asks her about Emilio. Coral says Emilio's not her lover but she has no reason to lie to Celso. Although there is nothing between them, Emilio is the only man she's ever loved. If that bothers Celso and he wants to leave her with nothing she'll understand, but other than that nothing will change between them. Celso smiles and holds her hand.
Coral-1 / Dario-0.

Alina yells for help and tries to hit Orlando with a bottle. Of course he wrestles it away from her. She screams. Tonki arrives and barks at the door. Orlando laughs, the door is locked so her damn dog can't get in. He throws Alina on the bed and starts ripping the sleeves off her shirt. Suddenly Tonki leaps through the conveniently opened window, in super slow-mo so as to accentuate his leaping prowess, and pushes Orlando onto the ground. Alina grabs a conveniently placed stick and whacks Orlando unconcious.

Luba is in the bushes muttering about Gaspar when she sees Alina and Tonki making a mad dash from the cabin to the horses.

Orlando picks himself up off the floor, groaning and holding his back where Mighty Tonki pushed him with his super claws. Orlando runs to his horse as Luba watches, impactada.

Coral tells Celso there never was and never will be anything between her and Emilio, he loves another. Celso looks off and says "That's true love Coral."

Emilio and Angel plan to return to Sierra Escondido. Big whoop.

As Orlando gets on his horse Luba steps out from hiding and plants herself in his path. Orlando says the maldito dog attacked him. Luba doesn't believe him. He rides around her and she says she knows very well what went on in the cabin, he can't fool her. She vows that bad people like him WILL PAY in this lifetime. I think the time for empty threats is past, I'd like to see Luba do something with that nasty looking knife of hers.

The corrupt chief of police tells Donloco he can decide what to do with Dr. Love. They are in Donloco's office. Dr. Love says he's only worried about Mariana. Loco pays off the corrupt chief of police with a big wad of cash and kicks him out. He wants to talk to the doctor alone.

Loco and Love glare at each other.

Vera, Ifegenia and Jaime are yucking it up over a bale of hay when Flor rides up with her sleeve ripped off. She won't tell them anything and she runs away. Jaime says the damn lieutenant probably abused her.

"What part of 'I don't want you to see my sister' do you not understand?" asks Donloco. "Are you going to kill me?" asks Dr. Love. "How much money will it take for you to leave my sister in peace?" asks Donloco. Where do conversations go when the sentences are only in questions? Nowhere, that's where.

We are in Mariana's room and it looks like Soledad has locked something in a chest and put the key in her pocket. Could it be the radioactive box? Mariana thought bubbles, loudly because she cannot speak, that she hopes Ricardo returns for her, he'll refuse money and Alvaro will see that he's wrong, he will have to accept that Ricardo loves her.

Dr. Love is indignant at Donloco's offer of money. What does Donloco take him for? Donloco says his grill is just getting warmed up, the doctor can name his price. Dr. Love gets huffy. "Look," says Loco, "with money even the dog dances, right? Everybody has their price, what's yours?" Money doesn't seem to work and Donloco threatens the doctor, but Ricardo asks why can't Donloco just believe that he really loves Mariana? He accuses Donloco of being sick, of being loco. "Shut up! I prohibit you from calling me loco," Alvaro shouts. "Of course I can't," says Ricardo sarcastically, "not in the current situation."

"Good," says Donloco ominously "because since we are in this situation, Doctor, you get to decide, will it be silver or lead?"

Tonight, a bonus for the gentlemen. Some time ago Ferro pointed out that the actress who plays Alfonsina was a Miss Bikini Latina winner. Siena Perezcano is quite the hardbody. She may be genetically (OK, and a little cosmetically) gifted, but it takes hard work to get and keep the abs and glutes that she has. Not only was she Miss Bikini Latina 2005 she was also a Miss Bikini Universe and has had podium finishes (nice talk for 2nd and 3rd place) in other competitions. I read somewhere that in one of the competitions she wore a sexy Mariachi outfit but I couldn't find a picture of that, darn! She is an anti-drug activist. I think she is the perfect woman to put Donloco in his place! You go Alfonsina!!

La Fea Más Bella #255 4/17/07 Aurora [au·RO·ra] noun - 1. the dawn; 2. the ancient Roman goddess of the dawn.

After overhearing Lety talk on the phone about her date with Omar, Marcia looks forward to seeing Lety in action (she probably thinks she might pick up on the secret to Lety’s gift for lassoing men). After talking to herself a bit more, she decides she has no business going. However, she does decide that Fern must know about it.

Fern tells Omar he should have let Fern kill Luigi. Omar reasons that yes, Luigi is vain and deserves to be thrown out on his flaming butt, but it doesn’t change the fact he is a creative genius and therefore Conceptos needs him. Fern changes the subject and says now they need to figure out how to save company from Aldo. Omar doesn’t have time for this because he’s in love. Fern says that can’t be because that emotion is non-existent for Omar. Just then Caro calls Omar. He talks to her and then excitedly tells Fern that Caro did it; she got Omar a date with Aurora! He gets up to leave. Fern reminds him that they were about to do some brainstorming (which he says in English and sounds like “BREINSTOURRRMEEN” -- too sexy!).

Alicia brings Ariel the financial statements he asked for but they turn out to be last year’s statements. He really lays into her. He grabs her face and calls her “useless as always.” Alicia says she’s just out of practice. Then she says that the cuartel’s stupidity must have rubbed off on her. Ariel steps back and says if stupidity is contagious, then he better stay away from her. He snaps his fingers at her and screams at her to get out of here before she contaminates the rest of the company. Alicia is impactada.

In Ferns’ office, Fern asks Tomas for the low-down on Aldo’s intentions. Tomas has no news. Fern asks why Tom went all the way to Acapulco only to return empty-handed. Tom dials Aldo’s number and hands the phone to Fern. Fern hesitates, obviously not excited about having to talk to Aldo, but he is saved, as they only reach Aldo’s voice mail. Lety comes in. Tomas wants to tell her about his talk with Aldo, but Fern kicks him out of the office to be alone with Lety.

Alicia walks into the vortex sobbing. Marcia asks what wrong. She tells Marcia that Ariel fired her. [I felt really sorry for Alicia about now, but that immediately disappeared when--] She adds that when Ariel realized she is more intelligent than him, he got jealous and decided to get rid of her. Marcia says she’ll go talk to him. Alicia asks her to tell Ariel that because of him, she will be left desamparada (abandoned; left without anything). Marcia rolls -- but does not blink-- her eyes.

Back in Fern’s office, Fern tells Lety that he knows he promised to give her space, but he is wondering whether Lety has made a decision about the whole Fern/Aldo thing. He is very nervous and stumbles over the right words. Lety tells him that she has not decided, as she has been very busy and has many things preoccupying her brain. She looks at watch, prompting Fern to ask if she’s in a hurry. She replies that she is, actually; she has to take care of something personal. She leaves and Fern looks on dreamily. He remarks “tan divina!” just the way Lety used to remark about Fern.

Marcia asks Ariel what his deal is. Ariel says he is simply trying to help the company. He goes on about how he is the only one left who can save it. He says he needs her support, and asks if she, his own sister, will, for the first time ever, support him? Marcia contemplates this. She wonders if maybe Ariel is right. After all, Fern has betrayed her so many times and in so many ways. [At this point, Ariel should have rubbed his hands together and snickered evilly… but alas, no].

Marcia goes to see Fern. She asks Fern is he has learned anything new about Aldo, which of course he hasn’t. Fern speculates that Aldo is not in Acapulco being a great chef but rather shaking his belly for a buck. He makes a face and shakes his belly to demonstrate [pause; rewind; play]. Marcia nonchalantly asks where Lety is. She barely waits for him to answer before she spits out that she overheard Lety making a date with Omar. Fern bursts out laughing. He laughs straight through the commercial break! After the break, he asks to smell her breath and asks if she’s been drinking. He clarifies that that’s not possible, and besides, Omar actually has a date with a woman he met last night. Marcia says she heard Lety making the date herself. She adds that if Lety she claims to be in love with Fern and Aldo at the same time, maybe two men are enough and now she wants Omar, too. She leaves and Fern thinks aloud that Lety would never do something like that.

Luigi is in his office packing and whining to Amrita. He says it’s always the same story— the administrators against the creatives. The suits always want things to be bueno bonito y barato (often-used saying which defines the best bargain: “good, pretty, and cheap”). He picks up his box and starts to walk out. Irmita calls his bluff and bids him farewell. He promises he’s leaving in about five different ways. He walks out and then walks back in, saying he’s waiting for the elevator. Just then Alicia comes in bawling. She asks if she can live with him. He retorts that his religion doesn’t permit it. Besides, La Diva’s room is too small for the both of them (Alicia and Diva). Alicia recounts how Ariel fired her. Luigi bluntly spells out for Alicia all the reasons why she has no business being an administrative assistant, especially a presidential one. Irma hand signals to him something like “shut up, stupid!” except it’s Irmita, so she probably was signaling “if you can’t say something nice…” Alicia calls the kettle black… that is, she asks Luigi, “What are friends like you good for?” After she leaves, Irmita asks Luigi if staying after all. Luigi responds that he is mean, but not cruel-- Conceptos really needs him now!

Lety walks with Caro down the street and whines about how it’s raining men in Letyland. Caro tells her to take it easy. Lety does a double take and says she could swear she just saw. Caro thinks it’s her imagination. Of course, it’s not her imagination, because Fern has been following them and is presently hiding behind a bush.

Omar sweet talks to the picture of Aurora in the newspaper. He practices his pick up lines-- you guessed it -- at the bar in his apartment! He leans on a stool and comes up with this gem: “Aurora, for you I would be willing to put my foot in a bucket full of scorpions!” Ha!!!

Fern follows Lety and Caro into a building. He asks a very nice, professional-looking, older woman inside if she saw two women walk in; one is a tall, slender, beautiful woman and the other one... the other one… has glass and a braid. She confirms they are meeting with Manuel Rivera in his studio. Fern responds that, oh yes, Manuel is a good friend of his. He says he hasn’t seen Manuel in long time and wonders what does he do now? She replies that he is an image designer.

Manuel shows the women a fuchsia dress that he claims Salma Hayek has worn. Lety loves it but thinks its too provocative. Caro reminds her of her objective to get the earring back from Omar. He shows them a red dress which he says he doesn’t need and she can even use his Gustavo Vera jewelry. [He motions to the jewelry in a Vanna White style which make me wonder if it’s a product placement, but I couldn’t find anything abut it on the ‘net].

Fern is still talking to the woman. He thinks Lety wants to see the image consultant guy to get gussied up for the other man (a.k.a. Aldo). The woman is concerned. She asks if his mujer is cheating on him. Fern milks the motherly attention. He complains that yes, she is, and that aren’t all women like that?

Alicia arrives at home, still sobbing. There is a knock on her door. It’s a debt collector with a gang of repo-men. They begin to take all her furniture as she races around hysterically. She jumps on the couch to protest but when they pick it up she jumps off.

Fern tells his new surrogate mom that “the other one” wants to take Lety away form him. She responds “Que bruto!” (What a brute) he is for handing Lety over to his rival on a silver platter—no, a gold platter! Caro walks in and is surprised to see him. She asks loudly “What are you doing here?” so that Lety can hear. Lety comes in and backs back out, so Fern does not see her in the Aurora getup. He admits that he thought he saw her with Lety. Caro says that Lety is not here, as she has a very important appointment tonight.

Lety waits for the coast to clear. This red dress is much more flattering than the green one. She’s a goddess. She admires Aurora in the mirror and though bubbles that it’s divine that Fern is following her. [Gotta admit, if one must have a stalker, it might as well be a hunka-hunka burning love like Fern.]

Aurora walks into The Delights restaurant. Omar, appropriately, is delighted at the sight of her. He spews some crappy pseudo-prose that Lety doesn’t buy for a second. He adds that she provokes the poet he carries inside. The repulsion makes her twitch when he’s not looking. He says she is the sun that lights up his life [get it? Aurora = the dawn! Ha!]

Fern walks in looking for Lety. He hides when he sees Omar (with Aurora) at a table. Aurora asks Omar for the earring. Omar agrees to give it back if she gives him a kiss first. Aurora says sure, but only one. He closes his eyes and bends toward her. She makes a sad, sad Lety face like a kid who has to take a spoonful of fish oil. Aurora says she want the earring first. He gives it to her and leans in again for his kiss with his eyes closed. She takes off her long red satin glove and slaps him with it. He is mildly impactado. She explains that that is her way of kissing.

Fern can’t contain himself and bursts out laughing. Lety is also impactada when she recognizes Fern’s voice behind her. Omar runs over to him and they squabble. He asks to be introduced to her, but Omar refuses. Fern is not impressed by her name, “Aurora.” Omar asks if he prefers a name like “Jessica” (he puffs his chest out like Jessica Rabbit). Fern thinks “Leticia” is a much better name. They continue to argue. Omar turns around and Aurora is gone. The waiter says she ran out. Meanwhile, some guys with camera are really mad that they didn’t get a picture of the Mystery Woman before she left. They are afraid they will get fired for not getting a photo. They catch up to her near the door and try to take a pic but Lety hides her face and runs off. Fern and Omar runs in looking for her. The paparazzi guys ask F&O who the mysterious woman is. Fern says if they want to see a really beauty, they should see Leticia Padilla Solis. Omar runs out of the restaurant, and just misses Aurora, who speeds off in a cab. F&O accept defeat and pose for the paparazzi guys again.

Alicia stands in an empty apartment, holding a glass coffee pot, still sobbing. The moving men try to take the pot and she refuses to give it to them, saying it’s the only memento of she has left of her ex-husband. Just then her dad calls [with all her money troubles, why hasn’t the phone company shut off her phone service? And why didn’t the repo men take that halfway decent cordless phone?] She tells dad all about her woes. She says that she knows he can’t do anything for her [A commenter previously wrote her dad must be in jail… that is starting to sound like the best explanation here]. She bemoans about being left in the street. She hangs up and the debt collector tells her she needs to leave we have to lock up the apartment.

At a bar, Fern tells Omar that Mujer Misteriosa sounds like a name for a luchador [Mexican wrestlers always have cool names like “El Santo” or as Duelo fans know, “Intocable”]. Anyway... Omar is despondent over striking out with Aurora. He wonders if she is playing hard-to-get. Fern tries to cheer Omar up. He says he’s sure Omar will run into her again. More than anything, Fern is just happy Lety was not with Omar. He throws peanuts covered in chile powder for Omar to catch in his mouth [yum!].
Lety calls Caro from cab to advise she got earring back.

Alicia bangs on Marcia’s door, but there is no answer. It turns out the repo-men didn’t really take everything, because she has lots of luggage.

Marcia is having dinner with Ariel, Humbo, and Bozo-T. He says his first task as president is to take care of the intruders. Humbo thinks he should get Aldo's story first. Marcia says she wants to get rid of Lety, who is now trying to lasso three men, though she refuses to give them details. Ariel asks for their support and they look apprehensive [note to director: insert evil giggling and hand wringing by Ariel here, please].

Omar tells Fern Aldo must have bough the company to conquer Lety. They throw more peanuts at each other. [It’s so great to see them together again!]

Lety is walking home in her Aurora get-up when she runs into Robopop. He stops her to asks what she is doing out so late by herself.

Tomorrow -- The jig is up, si?
