I just found out that my cable system does actually get Telefutura, so I will try this. I was fooled at first, because the station was confusingly listed as WFUT. You may find the same problem in your area.
 

Ha when I read 'WFU' I thought jeez! Then of course FUT for futura made sense. I wonder if there was ever a channel named WWTF?
 

Thank you for sharing in info,but the old novelas run on late night Univision..I saw the original Amigas Y Rivales..It's great..Angelica Vale is there,so is Arcely Amb??? (just had a baby by Luis Miguel)..She's a beautiful woman.Many other great actresses there as well..I believe the tall actress that put the moves on Juan Soler's character is LFMB is a character..

I posted that information last week about "Amigas Y Rivales". I am taping the episode each morning and watching it in the evening. Angelica plays a poor girl named Nayeli. Too bad I don't have recaps but I am trying my best to understand what is happening.
I live in NY and get it on channel 68.
 

Also on Telefutura is a novela called "Lazos de Amor" (1995-1996). Angelica has a small part.

I feel lucky living in NYC. We get 4 spanish stations, without cable (Azteca,Univision,Telemundo and Telefutura.

I watched this one when it was on like the last half...Isa from Destilando, well her ex played feo in this one (he got her all her enhancements), Angelica Vale plays a "really good Naca with a heart of gold:, Michelle Vieth is in this also Ernesto what's his name..as himself (Leo Mundo de)...Joan Benedict is in this as uber BSC...it was a pretty fun TeleNovela..
 

Hi everyone!

In searching youtube.com, I found a couple of videos that I thought were especially worthwhile to bring to attention of Jaime fans. I posted one in the meebo.com chat room & thought I’d mention them both here for those that don’t have luck getting into the chat room. The first is from a Mexican program called “Netas Divinas”, which appears to be a Mexican version of “The View”. This appearance is from early July 2007, just after Jaime finished doing Peter Pan in Mexico City. The show must have been an hour long on the air since it’s posted as 3 segments, each between 8 and 9 minutes long. This link is to the first of the 3 segments.

The quality of the clips from this show is so good that I’d almost be willing to take a crack at recapping this myself for those that need a translation. However, it’s somewhat difficult to follow the conversation simply because the 4 hosts are constantly talking at the same time. I give Jaime points for hanging in there for this whole show because for me, the estrogen (and volume) level of this group was at times off the charts.

In the course of the show Jaime talks about some of the same things that he mentioned on the Cristina show (wanting kids, current projects, life in the spotlight), but one bit I found interesting was in the 3rd segment where he talks about having nystagmus, a condition of the eye muscles that causes the eyes to involuntarily move back and forth rapidly, which is increased by fatigue and stress. I noticed this in many episodes of LFMB (especially in his many crying scenes) and I always wondered how the heck he was able to do that with his eyes. Now I know that he couldn’t help it!! He jokes that the eye movements took him years to perfect, and that he’s been so busy that his eyes haven’t stopped jiggling for the last 4 years!

The other link I’m including is to an episode I never saw air, but found very charming when I saw it on youtube. It’s an episode of LFMB that ran in Mexico around Christmas Eve 2006. It’s a Lety fantasy sequence that finds her dreaming of herself as Princess Lety of Horripilantia, daughter of Queen Julieta I and King Erasmo II, waiting to be rejected by her latest batch of Handsome Prince candidates, as happens each Christmas Eve. But this year, Prince Fernando the Beautiful shows up and everything changes! The sequence was filmed live on stage for an audience of children and features several musical numbers, with most of the LFMB cast in roles as characters in her fantasy. It’s really quite sweet. thanks for the links. I am still in the "Fea Funk" too. I am even getting high speed internet so I can watch more LFBM on Youtube. I also get the "Amigas Y Rivales" here in Tx. I tried watching it this morning and couldn't stay awake!!! (I am a night owl) Angelica was also on Tras La Verdad late the other night. I think it was a repeat but I enjoyed it anyway.

I only watched about 3 minutes of the 1st "Netas" video and was so charmed by Jaime, again, and the fun everyone was having. He talks soooo fast, I couldn't understand much he said! Guess, I'll just have to play it over and over and over again! Poor me! LOL.

I caught Angelica on the show too. She looks so beautiful. Someone has been sending her beautiful roses and today she got a huge boutiquet of roses. Angelica has a secret admirer me thinks. She joked and said they came from George Clooney LOL. She's so funny.

It's been reported over and over--could be speculation,gossip or whatever,that she & Jaime have been together since LFMB filming days..

In fact, the former girlfriend of Jaime Camil blamed Angelica Vale for her breakup with Jaime..It was in People en Espanol..

If the flowers came from the real George Clooney,of which they didn't,who else? The staff at Univision? Maybe? I say Jaime Camil and could be 100% wrong,but don't think so.
 

Could anyone be THAT good of an actor to be so convincing in their love scenes on LFMB? Maybe there is something genuine there and they just want to keep it private?
Or, maybe he is just so darn cute and sexy and I want it to be true so much that I'm reading something into it that isn't there?

Angelica was coy about who sent her the roses. She said the card had a number from a boy in Los Angeles on Wednesday LOL and then yesterday she said they came from George Clooney. She mentioned Jaime's father as her father-in-law but I think she was just teasing. She and Jaime know that the fans would love it if they were seeing each other. As far as the break up rumors that was last year when Jaime's girlfriend Heidi accused him publicly of spending alot of time with Angelica. Either way they have a very special friendship and great chemistry together. If they ever work together again playing different roles from Lety and Fernando I'd definitely watch it. They're dynamic together.
 

I was trying to find the website, novelas r us, but I think that it no longer exists. Does anyone know what happened to it?

I have been enjoying the novela "Amigas Y Rivalas" with Angelica Vale. It seems kind of strange seeing her in a different role but it suits her.
Also does anyone know if Univision or anyone else is going to sell La Fea Mas Bella on DVD?

Thanks, Lola for the heads up. Last year when novelasrus went on vacation for a week they let everyone know and their website stayed up and running. You are right - its down. I sent the one to Juan Salazar first supposing it would bounce right back bcs their site is down but it didn't get returned as undeliverable.
The other two weren't returned either.
I'm on a timer here at the free internet library computer so I only will be here a half hour longer -- and next time I get over here will be Monday evening - I'll post here if I got an answer or not.
I appreciate your saying something because there are only good recommendations out there about them -- of good quality work etc; and nobody has anything bad to say about them, so I've been comfortable with them.

Televisa apparently are the originators of these telenovelas but until they are willing to put out the entire thing (which they don't seem to believe people will purchase to make it worth their while to bother, or maybe they just want to keep their rerun possibilities at a higher value), I don't see how they can sue anyone for copying and selling each one in its entirety. All they ever do is chop up, severely, the original, slap english subtitles on it for those of us who want to purchase it that way, and sell it in that extremely edited condition.
I purchased their edited version of their original production: Alborada (and Amor Real) for about $20 each from Border's Books in Virginia. Novelasrus's Alborada took up 18 disks for the original broadcast but Televisa managed to slice it down to 4 disks. The Mexican broadcast of Alborada was over in February 2006 but the chopped up Televisa 4 disks didn't go on sale until October. I figure the same thing will happen with lfmb so I wasn't even going to look for an announcement from them until about September-ish. I figured to wait to write to Border's Books (I don't live in that vicinity any more) until November to see if they have it for sale yet. I'm trying to be patient.
I expect when Televisa's announcement is made somebody will post a note in here like last time.
I hope somebody else sees your comment and responds. I'm just guessing - it would be nice to hear from someone who k-n-o-w-s (and who speaks spanish). I would like to hear from somebody who KNOWS as well.
[I mentioned Border's books - because when I lived in DC the nearest significant-sized spanish speaking community was in Arlington Virginia so that's where I went figuring I could buy Televisa's condensed versions of its novelas there and they did have plenty of them sitting on their shelves. I'm in Maine now and there's no place hereabouts that would sell stuff in the spanish language.]

Thanks Mab for that information.I will keep checking back here for more info. I was going to finally break down and buy LFMB from Novelasrus but then they were gone.
I also wanted to share that I found a free trial software online called "Babylon" that translates words and sentences into any language that you want. It's great and really works. I found it by googling "Spanish dictionary."
I tried translating some of the posts on Univision and it worked quite well. I may consider buying it when the free trial is over.

If there are any 12-step programs out there for Fea addicts then this little scare has convinced me that I need to join.

Marie Celeste, thanks for the youtube clips. I will check them out. I remember a nurse commenting on one of the recaps when we were discussing Jaime’s eyes, she said she thought Jaime had nystagmus. I wonder if the condition looks as sexy on anyone else? : ) I hope he sent Angie the flowers. I think our Jaime needs to be with someone whom he already loves as a friend. And since I don’t have a shot, it may as well be AV. I miss the show and all of you, but it is kind of good not to have a nightly TV show to keep up with. There really is not much on TV. When Prison Break comes back on, at least I will have an eye candy show, but it has none of the innocence of LFMB.

I agree, my evenings are just not the same without LFMB. I watch alot on YouTube, which helps, but there is not the continuity as watching it every night. I get frustrated hop-scotching around trying to get the clips in order. Which reminds me I wanted to show my friend the clip of the "Feas" dancing in the red dresses, when they had the debut of Aldos cook book or something. I thought it was so funny, but I can't find it. If any one happens to know i would appreciate it. So glad I am not the only one missing this show. There is just NOTHING out there like it.

Hi guys. I can not find anything worth while to watch. I tape Amigas Y Rivales in the morning and watch in when I get home from work. It was made in 2001 but at least it has Angelica Vale in it. It's the next best thing if I can't watch Jaime & Angelica.
I never thought that I would miss a Spanish language show so much.
I also miss the recappers and everyone in out "Fea-holic Club."

novelasrus site is still down - the interesting comments in the past about lfmb withdrawal etc combined with the 12-step etc comment got me to wondering and I found all kinds of sites listing groups for addictions to cell phones, emails, &c &c. One list, in Victoria Canada, covering multiple addictions [good grief, I suppose they mean all at the same time] included coin collecting. Sounds peaceful. Wonder if you can swap one with another. They also listed the extremes of "Self" and "People Pleasing". Their list was so long it was alpha and it included Men (not cute men, just men -- I guess if your problems are multiple, you keep the addictions more basic). One of the items listed was Meetings of the sort you can HIDE in. (I never saw a meeting like that -- wonder what sort of gatherings they have in Canada anyway? I'm in Maine but am not planning a visit anytime soon, maybe somebody is visiting this site from canada and can tell us about what
i-n-t-e-r-e-s-t-i-n-g canadian meetings are going on up there?) Best of all they had a place where they requested that you should please submit any more you know of -- somehow I resisted putting: "LFMB addicts anon" -- sigh -- I didn't get rid of my lfmb addiction voluntarily - when I moved here I couldn't see univision any more so it was pretty abrupt and I went "cold turkey" -- I'm saving my lfmb 35 disks (with more to come -- all the rest I hope) for the long cold winters up here. LFMB will keep me nice and warm, I'll bet. Whoops: betting -- another addiction.

I guess loyal tv watching, when you finally find a GOOD show, is common to us all; so I don't personally believe it is something to worry about.

I grew up as a TV baby and have loved it all my life. It's always been my entertainment.
It's rare though that I actually find a show that I become as attached to as I did La Fea.
I missed other shows when they ended but the end of La Fea just ripped a piece out of my heart.
I don't know if it was because of my big crush on Fern or just missing the whole motley crew of characters, but nothing since has taken it's place.
This blog with the great recappers and the other Fea fanatics made the whole experience so much more fun than it would have been just watching alone!

Hi Feaholics, I know, it has been a while, still going through withdrawl. I was trying to access novelasrus, and noticed that it has been down for a while. I had a few fea clips that I had coded as favorites on youtube, but two were removed with a statement about a claim from Televisa, regarding copy right issues. I guess Televisa is starting to realize that there are a lot of us viewers that won't let go. I am sure that they are actively monitoring and starting to crack down on the sites that are using clips and or selling copies of their show. Just a thought here, since novelasrus is also inaccessable. All I want is a good copy of the show. If Televisa can provide copies that are complete and not butchered up, all the better. If not, they need to make room for someone who can. I WANT MY FEA!!!Ok, let me calm down now. Anyway, nice seeing you guys out there. Hang in there......
 

I too noticed that alot of clips of LFMB are disappearing from Youtube due to copy right issues. In fact a bunch I had bookmarked as my favorites are gone...makes me so mad!!!!! :( I just can't go cold turkey...I have to have my daily dose of "Fea"

yeah, novelasrus are still down. I'm watching to see when they are back up.

I missed the first few weeks of lfmb when alborada was over bcs lfmb was on an hour earlier. When I found it I had a prob to get home by 8 m-f but I managed it anyway.
Then I had to move away from d.c. a few weeks b/f lfmb was finished. I'm used to many free channels in a big city. I'm not willing to pay for tv. My apt wasn't ready right away so I had to stay at a motel a few extra days/nights. They had 74 channels. There were french language frm canada but no spanish language and no univision.
I sure miss lfmb.
Most of the free internet machines at the libr here can't show youtube so I didn't know some were removed. That's the pits. Some were really funny. I'm sorry to hear that happened. drat.

B. They have lost the site name. When they registered the domain name, their registrar did a poor job of research; someone in Spain already owned the name. Juan closed the site rather than have problems with the name owner. They are working on getting a new name and new site.

D. If you can't use PayPal, you can call; 516-404-4557. I had an idea, too: e-mail Juan at the adr above, give him your address, ph#, and what you want, and ask him to phone you for your credit card number. That way he already has your address in writing, and there are no misunderstandings of spellings (it took awhile for him to get my name spelled right). No fax orders.

I'm still considering having a set to offer to loan out to people. I don't want to take business from anyone, so if you are planning on buying the series please do, but for those who simply can't afford that much money (I've been there, I know how it feels!) I might have a set available. There would be no rental fee (at least I'm saying that at this time, we'll have to see how much work is involved), you'd just have to be willing to pay the postage. I'd probably send 5 disks at a time, so postage isn't much depending on where you live, probably under $3. thanks for the novelasrus news - I've been checking their site every day to see if it was up yet -they had a good name - I'm sorry they lost it - I'm pretty sure that had been their former ebay name so it's a pity - I would think they had it first as a plain name - I guess they just didn't want to fight it out, or pay money for it to anybody just for their internet use. It would be cool if they had a contest for us to help them pick a new name, but they are probably too busy to mess with something silly right now.

Back when I ordered I just sent a snailmail to their new york street address and enclosed a postal money order. I think they can handle business any way it is easiest for their customer.

Hi Gordita. Sorry you haven't gotten an answer sooner, no, it's not a silly question. If you go to Paypal.com you can read all about them. I've used them to make eBay purchases and have never had any problems, but I've never used them for anything else. It usually (at least with eBay) doesn't cost the purchaser anything to use them. You give them your information on how you want to pay, and they send the money to the seller. You can pay with a credit card or give them your bank information if you want to pay straight out of your checking or savings account. It's a secured site, but of course if you're leary about giving financial info over the computer, Paypal would not be the way to go. Hope this helps.

Ay, amigas, what will we do...I'm starting to worry about myself. LFMB ended 2 months ago, and I'm still addicted! I've been watching telenovelas for years & this has never happened before. LFMB just had something that I can't tear out of my heart; I think the romantic in me just can't move on from the happiness I get from watching Lety & Fernando. Gordita, I feel your pain; most of my favorite videos disappeared from youtube because of the copyright issues. There are still some out there (why some went & some remain I can't work out), but most are not great quality (ah..there's my answer, I guess). Thank God I still have my VHS tapes! I check the meebo chatroom daily, but it's a pretty lonely placed these days. I'm so glad people are still posting here; it's so nice to check in & see I'm not alone! It has not got any better, "sniff, sniff" I am going to have to order the CD's so I can watch them at night. (in secret...JE,JE) I have only recorded the episodes after Lety's DUI/Aurora thing, to the end. (My adult daughter is always giving me a hard time about "watching Fernando again") My best friend cracked up when she borrowed by cell phone and saw I had "lety and Fernando walpaper"... To Carrie L. or anyone else interested in the "7 Dias" DVD:
I was unable to confirm from CD Universe whether the DVD they're selling has English subtitles; the customer representative merely replied that "the website" hadn't given that information. I tried to research it and found an ad for the San Diego showing of the movie, and the ad said that the movie had English subtitles. So, I'm GUESSING the DVD will have subtitles. Does anyone else out there know for sure?

Wait a minute guys, addiction? what does that mean? Oh yeah, do you mean that cold, clammy feeling, around 8:00 pm, when your body is automatically looking at the clock, turning on the tv, to that old channel that we used to watch, getting totally PISSED OFF, because Lety & Fern will not be on, and there is absolutely NOTHING on that will pacify that craving for LFMB? What is addiction? Looking at old clips of the show, laughing and crying with the characters, and wishing that the show will return tomorrow, like it did before, remember? I don't know what you guys are talking about. LOLOL, Oh, if we can turn back the hands of time. I need something to kill the pain. Where is my bacardi & coke? I NEED HELP!!! Well, you could always do more laundry, lint roll the cats and dogs (no fooling), talk to the kids and husband (ha), or desperately search through the channels for something remotely funny or interesting to watch (fat chance).
No, the world is just not the same since Fern and Lety left and it's just not a happy place.

It's so nice to know I am not alone in my addiction. Everyone expressed so well my feelings. I found out if you put "la fea" and then numbers like 12-1 v3(that is the feas dancing) all kinds of episodes come up on YouTube. It is kind of hard to follow if they mean dates or what, but this user has a ton of clips listed and they are pretty clear and easy to hear. most of them (so far that I have watched are not the music montages, but the actual show. Alot of you probably already know this, but I am a little slow in the tecnology dept, so I just figured it out. Hang in there everyone.

just sat down at the free internet 90 minute public terminal at the library. Guess what I've got? On the way here I went to the post office! from NOVELASRUS, packed neatly and safely, are episodes 36-61. My first batch was 1-35 so what they sent is RIGHT. (I was one of the very first to order it way back when they finally let people 'advance order' it, so I guess that's why I've got it 6 days sooner than when they hoped to have most of them sent out.)
On youtube on Monday after the Friday 2/23/07 in Mexico the entire last l-o-n-g episode was shown so I did get to see it -- I knew I would leave D.C. b/f it was over so I kept track of it's last several weeks in Mex on another english language site and they said it was on youtube under todaslasfeas. Seeing it kept me from going knutz to have to move a few weeks b/f the show was over in the usa. When I get home I'll check out the last few eps on disk 61 to make sure all is well but I'm sure it is ok. novelasrus have always had a good rep and I am a happy camper. I have an ear lickin grin on and hooray.

Their site continues to be down and is down right now (I hope they get that squared away soon), but they are still in business.
Once I saw the mummers parade in Philly and the string bands went by playing happy-days-are-here-again. Yess Indeedy. YeeeHaaa.

The ex-girfriend of Jaime Camil is Llithia Manzanilla. I think she is a character on Codigo Postal-Univision. She blames Angelica Vale for her breakup with Jaime Camil,as noted in one of my previous emails..

I guess addiction is being on vacation and sneaking into town to use the computer in the public library (30 min limit),when I should be at the beach with my family. I will join them soon (I think). LFMB was just so special and it's difficult to put into words why. Some of the story line did hit home for me. At times it was just so ridculous and idiotic, yet every night at 8pm I was drawn into this world and it became totally real to me. I have to hand it to all the actors, even if I did not like their characters(Tomas and Alicia), they were all excellent. Of course it goes without saying Jamie and Angelica were just out of this world. I glad the rest of you feaholics are out there, just so I don't feel so weird.

the Final of La Fea Mas Bella, disk 61, audio is out of synch - please send replacement disk. There's no rush - I know you are very busy. I yesterday I got 36-61 for which I thank you. I played the last disk last night. Their words are not synchronized with their mouths. I played the beginning of the episodes on each of disks 59 and 60 and they were fine.
I thought I'd better tell you right away so you could look at the last disks of the ones you are mailing out now and see if some or all of them are the same.
Just in case you are having various computer problems I'll also drop you a note in the mail this weekend so you can know I want a replacement for disk #61 and so you can check to see if others are like mine.

LFMB hit home for me too which is why it's been so hard to let it go and I can't even if I wanted to. I'm still addicted to this show and to the love story of Fernando and Lety. The acting between Jaime and Angelica was so believable and I fell hook, line, and sinker for them. I'll b glad when it comes out on DVD so I can see the scenes I missed (the whole beginning LOL). I came in on the middle part right when the "big meeting" took place and didn't get to see alot of the scenes when Fernando began to really fall in love with Lety. I'm starting to ramble. So glad I'm not alone in missing this show and unforgettable love story.

You worded it so perfectly when you said "the acting between Jaime and Angelica was so believable" There was just something about those two that went deep into our hearts. Their love scenes were so tender, yet passionate. We can't let go. We don't want to let go, we have to keep a little piece of them with us, and when it starts to fade a little we have to go back and watch them and remember...sounds corny, but true. I am so addicted I got rid of my dialup ISP and went with cable high speed so I could watch "Fea" on Youtube without waiting hours for it to download.

I credit Don Fernando because he was so darn handsome, but, Lety was a fantastic receptor for his passion.

Lety & Fern were so passionate, like they really were into each other, and enjoyed kissing, not like those fake (eeewwwww I am kissing a frog) scenes with Juan Soler. L & F had a lot of magical moments that we wanted to last forever. I guess all of us would love to have a romantic fantasy with a drop dead gorgeous man like Fernando. The final reunion was too short, after they tortured us for so long. We were cheated in the end.
 

I agree. After endless months of torture and waiting for Fernando and Lety to be passionate again, we were given a 5 second love scene. Not like the passionate second night Lety and Fernando had. We were definitely cheated. I agree about the kisses too. Those kisses between Fernando and Lety were blazing hot and whenever Lety and Aldo kissed I grimaced. Their kisses were cringe inducing. With the kind of chemistry Jaime and Angelica had it was wasted in those last months of the show. A shame. Still miss them and it's just not the same since the show ended.

I sent a postal money order for my set. I handed the cash to the post office for the money order which I mailed to the seller. Postal money order is cheaper than a traveler's check which also is as good as cash.
Most people think a cashier's check from the bank is as good as cash for sending through the mail to a seller.

Juan, the DVD seller, does speak English. Somewhat limited, so speak slowly and clearly. You'll have no problem telling him your order. If you tried to discuss the nature of existence or the limits of the universe ... you might have some trouble!

ON the phone, I did need to spell my name, street & town phonetically, e.g. "P as in Peter," etc. because we had a bad connection.

My disks arrived yesterday. I'll be incommunicado for a week! Hope I remember to eat.

Ya' know, we feaholics - strike that - fea-obsessed - really need to be able to talk on a forum-style board. How 'bout the Fea US board on Telenovela-World. I love the Caray blog, but it's just not conducive to interchanges of this type. And now that many of us are getting the disks, wouldn't it be fun to swap observations?

I'll go there and start a thread, and see if anyone responds.

Also on the fun side, I am watching "Amigas Y Rivals" with Angelica Vale and I thought that I saw another familar face. And lo and behold it was Sergio Acosta who played "Lopez" in La Fea. His character is a gay guy. That novela was done 6 years ago so he is younger and slimmer. It was so funny seeing him.

When the advance orders finally were accepted at novelasrus on 5/24 I sent my advance order with postal money order to them at: 672 Dogwood Ave. #115, Franklin Square, NY 11010 and at that time and right up until their website recently went down the price still was $165 for all the disks. Probably it would be best to email or call them first to make sure that address is still where they want you to send your money. I should think they could still use their name, just not on the internet - because of the conflict they seem to be having with somebody in Spain.

By accident, I caught one of Angelica's (Lety's) co-host days with Gordo/Flaca. She really looked good and I remembered how much I missed her and Fern. Also caught Paty Navidad (Alicia) last night on D. Francisco Presents. She also looked good and did a few little Alicia riffs. She talked about (as near as I could understand) some guy to stalked her and growing up on a ranch in Sinaloa. She also sang a little bit. Glad to see that others still miss LFMB. I watch Destilando, but it's not the same.

I might be the last to know this, but Fernando Colunga, the King of the Telenovela, has a MOVIE coming out on Friday, 8/31/07, being released in selected US cities. (Check you local listings. The only ones I know for sure are LA & Miami). "Ladrón Que Roba A Ladrón'" (A Thief Who Steals From a Thief"). It also stars other telenovela vets including Saul Lisazo, Gabriel Soto and Sonya Smith. I don't know if it's just me but I never did feel much real passion between he and Marcia. For some reason the scenes with Lety always felt like the real thing!

I didn't know there was a tub scene with Fernando and Marcia. You're not alone Carrie L. With Fernando and Lety it did feel real. It didn't look at all like it was acting or rehearsed. It seemed raw and in the moment. You know what I mean. I've watched other shows and soap operas. But none of the acting from the leads affected me the way the acting between Jaime and Angelica did. There was such a intensity and raw passion. I miss this show. Sniff.
 

If you think the tub scene is good... see his next scene, same night (Cap 14). He's in bed with Marcia. She's asleep; he's awake, pensive.

We hear Lety writing in her diary in the background. "He needs me (for work). I'm satisfied just to spend time with him. They told me he would change my life; I would change his. How could that happen? If only it would come soon!"

We're hearing Lety, but we're looking at Fern. He looks down
at Marcia, then turns his eyes away, deep in thought, with a hint of hopelessness. Just as we hear Lety write, "he would change my life; I would change his," he looks up. He has pulled away from the hopelessness. He looks off, intently, at something far in the distance, his eyes bright, and a slight smile just begins to form.

thanks, lola for the novelasrus info -- I didn't believe they'd hike the price after they had full sets available, though they said they might, but it's up $15 - I'm surprised - maybe after awhile it'll come back down.
I knew they use site translation so everything important that's in spanish is also in english - I'm amazed they are considering subtitles - IF they do it it will be a new thing for them - they've never done it before.
I see they are tired out and are going on vaca. I guess I'll get my disk #61 replacement when they get back. ["...we will be on vacation from September 7 to September 15. Per the photo of the DVD package, it says there are 3 double-sided discs in the package, not just one. So the product info on the Amazon listing looks to be in error in that regard.
 

I think the "one disk" is an error. Alborada is on four disks, and it is 862 minutes. I'm sure LFMB is more than one disk.

It's 300 hours of show condensed into 700 minutes. That's about 2-1/2 minutes per episode. It's gotta' be a hatchet job.

If you want the entire series, go to http://www.te-lenovelas.com/id67.html . $180. That's 60 cents per hour. I'm glad I got it. In two months my Spanish comprehension has doubled, and I so look forward to watching my show each night. I read the Spanish recap on Univision, watch the episode, and replay the important parts I can't figure out.

One more thing - since I've gone back to the early episodes, I can see all sorts of foreshadows thrown in, that get fulfilled later. e.g. tonight's episode, #27, Fern is trying to convince Lety to start the shadow company, but she is apprehensive. He says, "Don't you trust me? Do you think I'd throw you into problems?" (Boy Howdy!) Later he confesses, regarding Luigi, "I don't know how to ask forgiveness." (You're gonna' learn, Buddy-Boy!)

Yep, every minute of every show. Plus the opening credits, and much of the opening montage. But no subtitles, neither English nor Spanish.
 

paulaH: I hope you're right but My guess is that televisa is the only one that has it all. Univision requested some time ago that the size of the episodes suit their broadcasting time but televisa didn't care so univision has to edit out stuff to fit in their commercials. Whatever local market people live in and record their show is what you get at your own home; and wherever te-lenovelas are recording is what they get. Televisa sits on the entire footage that nobody gets to see completely then instead of selling, finally, it they chop it up. They just haven't a clue. They especially don't get it that there's a large english-only speaking audience out here. sigh.

I now remember hearing that Mexico got more of each episode than the US, so it makes sense that te-lenovelas would be missing the same parts as the US broadcasts are missing. Thank you for enlightening me! Although, don't I remember hearing that a lot of the extra minutes are Mexican product placements, politics, etc? Not sure.

PaulaH: local usa broadcast areas get stuff sliced out for their advertisers also. pity. Prob it gets even worse for reruns - seinfeld reruns for instance has fav moments sliced out so more ads can get smished in.
dunno where te-lenovelas people record the stuff rumania germany greece 300-miles-offshore (my personal guess is canada - If you buy much stuff off the internet you see that it's not unusual for canadians to have a ny state addy to do bus frm -- some ebayers do so well they go off on their own and figure out how to deal with the international slants -- I've been amazed at how popular these mexican stars are Everywhere except english-only speaking countries); anyway, I don't bother them with all my curioux qus. but boy oh boy am I wonderin. If they'd write a book about their speriences when they retire I'd love to buy and read it.
