Telemundo has been showing promos of La Sultana, a Turkish telenovela dubbed into Spanish, about a young woman who becomes "La Sultana" and rules over the Ottoman Empire in the early 1600's. Starring Beren Saat (best known for her role in Fatmagul), Anastasia Tsilimpiou, Ekin Koç and Hülya Avsar, the novela tells the true story of Kosem, the sultana who helped shape a nation’s history as one of the most powerful women of the seventeenth century.
