Caray, Caray!

Ginebra tries to “kill herself” by cutting her wrist just in time for Esteban to find her and call the paramedics. Everyone fusses over her, Elvira especially, while Ginebra is so apologetic. Poor soul, she’s at the end of her rope, she’s lost the will to live. Cry me a river!

Thank God and all the angels, the cut is not too deep, no need to go to the hospital. Ginebra still can’t understand what came over her to do such a thing. Elvira is very understanding, Gin feels especially bad because she made a mess in Esteban’s office, she even destroyed his wife’s portrait.

Esteban understands pain, he felt like going crazy many times after Berenice died. Yes, Ginebra agrees, but at least he had his kids to comfort him. She really hopes this episode didn’t ruin her chances to work with them.

Esteban says what she tried to do is very serious, especially the fact that she chose his office to do it. It would be irresponsible of him to give her a job now, she needs to find psychological help first.

Elvira and Ginebra both look upset, but hahaha, brownie points for Esteban.

Ginebra saw the intact wooden box. She was angry that it was intact and had not been burned. She demanded to see Samara's dead body. He told her he had not killed the child. She fired several shots past Mauro and came closer, saying he had been the only person she had ever trusted. She was within point-blank range.

At the same time Paz and Esteban were talking. He had been crying. She was her usual optimistic self. A cop released him. Esteban and Paz hugged. She looked concerned, but finally smiled.

Luna sticks out her grubby paw and plaintively asks for money for food. Paz, being Paz, offers to cook her a whole meal. But before they can decide on the menu, Monito grabs her hand and drags her off. 

Paz suddenly realizes how she knows that little face -- from the 7 seconds she saw Ginebra hold up the photo on tv! Not the artist's drawing she looks at every day in her own house! No, that would be silly! But it's too late -- the kids are in the wind.  

Back at Camp Oliver Twist, Gorila recognizes Sam on the front page of the paper. His two brain cells rub together and create a spark.

Sorry this is belated, I had some trouble but I sorted it out.

We open with the kinda inappropriate hug Paz gives Esteban. She apologises, saying she doesn't know what she was thinking. She saw him crying and just hugged him, it broke her heart seeing him like this. Esteban, devastated, tells her not to worry, the truth is he needed that hug. 

Paz's family arrive at the company. Is Nandy part of the family? She's there too and sees Kenzo. She tells the rest about her "very good friend". Kenzo shows them the meeting (?) room.

The Unhappiest Restaurant in Mexico City

Fermin plants a wet one on Paz, who slaps him right quick. Esteban helpfully offers to throw him out, but Paz says it's family stuff and not to worry about it. She walks her new boss out, explaining that the unbathed one is her total ex, signed & sealed, who just got out of jail for things she'd rather not go into. Esteban says he understands what it's like to be stuck with icky people because you're related to them. 

Paz tells Fer he can sleep in the armchair tonight but he has to be out in the morning. After all, he's the reason the loan sharks have made their lives miserable all these years. Fer says he's going to take care of all that and flashes back to the night he hid Mauro's gym bag o' cash in the ventilation duct in the hospital, where surely no one has looked in six years.

And we’re back with Esteban offering Paz a job. She is all flustered, he explains she could handle the catering for an office event he’s planning. She says she has actually has a Chef training, but the idea of a fancy event scares her. No worries, Esteban is sure they can do great things together… for his company, that is.

People arrive to eat, but Paz must explain to them she has some issues for now and won’t be serving any food. She’s sad to lose the customers, Esteban tries to give her a huge tip. She refuses, this is much more than what the food actually cost. He waxes poetic about food nurturing the soul and gives her his contact information. They can start with his event and then maybe they can work together long term. And if she needs a hand with her restaurant, he can send a company lawyer to help. This gesture convinces Paz good men still exist.

And off he goes, big smiles on both their faces.

Genebra placed the stolen baby girl in the perfect crib. As Mauro explained how he beat the hospital security systems the baby cried. Genebra ignored the crying and left the nursery [For which she is awarded first place for Bitch of the Year].

The baby's birth family was crying hysterically in the hospital. Vermin watched them with his face barely readable. Mireya threatened his life if she ever found out he had anything to do with the baby's disappearance.

Scenes have been combined or rearranged for better flow. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

We begin in the middle of a forest, looks like early morning. Zoom in on a box, it has a cover, it looks like what a DIY coffin would turn out. The box is rather small, small enough that only a child could fit in. And someone IS inside, because we see the cover slightly move and we hear a little girl’s voice:

« Mom! Mommy! Help! » She is not completely alone, a small, ruffled dog is standing close.
