Miguel, don’t bullsh*t with Rogelio. “So does this mean that you lied to me when you told me that Paula was going there?” “I have no idea what you are talking about!” Rogelio thinks he’s just not sober enough, so he tries to sober him hitting the table with his whip! “I told you that if you don’t speak clearly, I will stop helping you!”

Moron Miguel gets on his knees. That’s right, kneel before King Rogelio! But he should know that Rogelio is not up for indecent proposals, since he’s as straight as an arrow; therefore Miguel might want to change his approach. “Do whatever you want, do whatever you want to me, but don’t send me to jail!” Ou la la! Lucky him Rogelio isn’t into THOSE kinds of games, otherwise he would be in deep trouble. In TelenovelaLand, “Do whatever you want to me!” / “I am ready to do whatever you want!” are two phrases you don’t want to say. “How embarrassing!”, replies Rogelio and we all agree. Although in all fairness, Miguel should be sent back to prison, he’s a danger to the society aka to the viewerville’s neurons. “All the bravery that your sister has lacks in you!” – Rogelio leaves the room, while Miguel is still on his knees looking dumbstruck, with emphasis on “dumb”.

“Vanesa…” Umm…you already said that, dammit! Say something else! “I think that you and me…” and before Ana Paula gets to say something else, Vanesa yells: “MALDITAAA!” - and BUM! PAM! ZAAAAS! Vanesa just bitchslapped the hell out of her lil’ sis. Ana Paula breaths heavily, but in her mind she was probably telling Vanesa to $#@!, $%#@! and also to *****. “Basta!”, she says! Hey, but they are even, she did that to Vanesa too on her wedding day. “I know that you don’t like the idea of us being sisters, but…” “MY FATHER DIED BECAUSE OF YOU! Gus continues: “And this includes that you try to get along with her.” Oh so maybe Mercedes will steal Vanesa’s BFF spot in Ana Paula’s heart after all. Gus: “You are very important to me, I don’t want us to drift apart.” Huh? What in the name of Tostitos with queso dip is he talking about? Dude, your sis just gave you some advice, she didn’t threaten you to make you leave your house so that you can move that ass of yours to do something more prolific than banging Ana Paula. She lights up a candle in the middle of the conversation, which looks kind of awkward. “We always managed to deal with the lack of money and we will keep doing that.” Just don’t deal with it the Miguel-way, by trying to steal. “But love won’t feed you, so…” “So nothing, aunt! Rosy is angry with Ana Paula, gives her the stinkeye and in return, she makes the ‘it wasn’t me’ face.

A few hours later…

Rosy: “What’s going on with you, Ana Paula? You believe that you don’t deserve that good things happen to you? That you have no right to take everything your father wanted you to have? He spoke to the notary, it was his last wish to…” And Evrika! She remembers his name was Patricio and that they have to look for him. “No aunt, understand I don’t want anything!” Someone else knocks on the door. A man tells them that the packinghouse didn’t authorize the payment of the bill. He hands Ana Paula over the paper with the sum that needs to be paid. Oups, auntie Rosy knows she has been busted and she keeps her fingers crossed that Ana Paula won’t yell too loud. “Tia, que hiciste?? Oh my, at this point the only studs missing are Rogelio and Hugo and maybe even Bruno. He needs a girlfriend fast, so that we can see his mighty six-pack in all its glory. Same thing applies to Hugo. Best part about Telenovela funerals is that pretty much all the hotties are gathered together in one place. I’m so heartless. David turns around and sees Efrain and for some reason, both men are surprised to see each other.

“All this is so sad! *Sniff sniff! We are again without a home. Without money. What are we going to do now?” Oh Rosy, I happen to know a lonely rich and dimpled cowboy, with sad puppy eyes capable of melting the biggest icebergs and who owns a hacienda. “I don’t know, but we have to leave this place not only because of the money, but because I don’t want Rogelio to find us. I hope Vanesa didn’t tell him anything.” Oh Ana Paula, you’re so cruel!

Someone’s knocking at the door and Margarito tries to make us deaf with his screams. “Ay ay ay ay! And yet again, I am speaking to people who don’t exist. Still, it’s a pretty good advice.

Auntie thanks him, but wonders where they are going to live and for the moment, Gus tells them they can live in her house. Now now Gus, that would be 5 people in a small house and this is not “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfes”. It won’t work. Ana Paula thanks him, but she is not sure if his sister will like the idea. “I will talk to her. I told you I will always help you. My house is very small, but we can…” “Just how small?”, promptly asks Rosy. “TIA!!””It’s small, but we’ll accommodate.””Well, thank you very much, Gustavo!” Ana Paula, Margarito and Gus go to pay the bill, while Rosy continues with the luggage.

Why don’t we know anything about you?” Now Rosaura might be an opportunist, with the dollar sign replacing her pupils, but she knows damn well what we want. “Don’t talk to me like that! Because I had a hard time looking for my niece to give her back to you.” “Paula is with you?” Rogelio lowers his voice. “Yes Rogelio, that’s why I called you, because I already have Ana Paula with me.” Rogelio is relieved to hear that and even smiles, barely containing himself.

“I am sorry sir, but your credit card has been rejected.” Ahahahahahhaa told ya. Can we call Guscake “Mr. Rejected Card” from now on? Viewerville is disappointed with his failed attempt to save the day. Ana Paula: “Gustavo…what a shame!” I don’t know why, but the way she delivered that line made me laugh out loud, it sounded unintentionally sarcastic. “You don’t have to pay anything.” He can’t do it anyway, darling! “I told you I will help you. Rogelio is almost crying of happiness, if he only knew…*sigh.

Hotel Lobby

Gustavo asks Margarito about the provenience of the rings, since they look expensive and Ana Paula says with half a mouth those are her wedding and engagement rings. Gustavo suddenly has a jealous boyfriend attitude. If he gets so upset about two rings, he’ll go bananas when he’ll see Dashing Mr. Dimples. Ana Paula tells him she didn’t know that Margaro had them and she kills the boy with the rays that come out of her eyes. “I DON’T WANT YOU TO HAVE ANYTHING THAT COMES FROM THAT MAN!” Ohhh easy there, Gustavo. No need to be jealous, since you consumed the cupcake first. Margarito runs away and Gus leaves a message on Esteban’s phone, asking him for money. Ana Paula doesn’t want him to ask for money and he says it’s his responsibility, since he wants to solve all this. “Noo!” “Perdoname…” >>FF. God I hate that song.

Hacienda

Bruno tells Dany that Miguel’s trial is still ongoing and if Rogelio stops supporting him (After all, it wasn’t his duty to take him out of prison), everything can change for him. He asks her to help him find Ana Paula. “But Miguel doesn’t want her to come. He doesn’t want her to sacrifice herself again for him. And I see him in a bad state.” He’s a moron, she shouldn’t care about what he thinks. The harm is already done…”No, don’t worry, I will try helping him and Ana Paula, but promise me to tell me everything, please.” Dany tells him that Ana Paula was at Boredom del Cielo and reunited with her boyfriend-who-became-ex-dead-boyfriend-and-ressurected-later-to-become-her-lover. Bruno is impactado. “The novio Rogelio asked to be murdered?” “Yes, but he’s not dead! She was with him in Boredom del Cielo” Bruno is even more impactado. In Rogelio’s bedroom, he calls for Maria and gives her his list of requests. She thinks he goes for Cinthia and tries to convince him to understand her bla blab la, but he tells her that he needs Hugo fast and Bruno should talk to the captain, because he needs his helicopter. Because driving a car was so yesterday. He says he is going for his wife. Maria is impactada.

Bruno asks Dany if she believes that Ana Paula loves Gustavo or if it’s just an illusion. “Dany, tell me!” Too late, Moron Monobrow Miguel interrupts them and she asks him what happened, but he’s out of this world. Metaphorically speaking, of course, although it wouldn’t hurt if it would be literally also. Maybe some aliens could abduct him. Oh wait, they have nothing to do with his peanut brain. Nanny comes also, tells Hugo to go see Rogelio and asks Bruno for a helicopter, saying out loud that Rogelio is going for Ana Paula. Miguel is impactado. Smart move, Nanny. They could warn Ana Paula in the meantime. Sheesh.

Somewhere near the Duran Mansion

Esteban thanks Mercedes for going with him jogging, she says that he needed that. She says something like he should redo his life, since he’s a wonderful chap, but to be honest, I am a bit distracted by his arms. Oh yeah, he’s fine. He’s not ready for that though. Mercedes suggests Chio (Btw, we have here some chips called Chio and every time I hear her name I think of the chips), but he’s not in the mood for love.

Hacienda

Dany asks the Nanny if Mr. Montero told her who was with Ana Paula and Miguel says she is probably with their aunt. Bruno becomes Captain Obvious for a moment, saying that Rogelio must be desperate to leave, while Dany is calling auntie, who is not answering. Miguel says it’s best if she doesn’t answer since she is sick. Huh??? Dude, go to sleep. Am I evil if I want him to sleep with the fishes? “Maria, tell Rogelio not to bring my sister here. I will do anything. I will become his slave.” Anyone else thinking of that Britney Spears song “I’m a slave…for you”? He starts jumping (literally now!), Dany tries to calm him and goes for the hug and he aggressively pushes her, screaming to let him go, because it’s best for her to stay away from him. Warning! Hotel Lobby & Room

Gustavo still wants to become superman and calls Mercedes to tell her that he wants to bring them to their house for a few days. But again, he leaves her a voice message because she didn’t pick up her phone. If Gus will ever be on “Who wants to be a millionaire”, the ‘Phone a friend’ lifeline won’t help him at all. Ana Paula repeats again that she doesn’t think that it’s a great idea, since Mercedes can’t stand her and that she should look for a pension or something. “No worries!”, says Gus. Auntie calls Bruno and tells him that Ana Paula is in Tuxtla with her, but he shouldn’t tell Miguel anything. Bummer, too late. Bruno is pissed that she did this behind his back and gave Rogelio first the news, since they agreed to be accomplices. She tries to think fast of an appropriate answer and tells him she did that so that he won’t suspect their agreement. Bruno tells her that she should consult him beforehand in everything. Auntie asks him to cut her some slack, because there are more important things to worry about, like the fact that Ana Paula reunited with Gustavo. “That guy is an obstacle! But I have people who can take care of him.”, says Bruno. “Ahh…but it has to be as soon as possible!” “I told you that I will take care of everything! But poor you if you will ever dare to disappear like that again!” “I was looking for Ana Paula. And since Rogelio didn’t give me more money, I couldn’t even load my cell phone’s credit.” “You just look after Ana Paula and give me reports of everything what’s happening.” Rosy grins.

Ana Paula tells Margarito he shouldn’t have picked up the rings. I threw them away, you saw how unpleased Gustavo was!” “But I wasn’t going to let them there thrown. I thought you could use them.” “Yes, Margarito, I understand you, but it’s something I want to bury.” “Well, then, I will keep them and neither you nor Gustavo will see them.” “No no no, by how things look, it should be better to pawn them.”

Bruno calls Rutilio, telling him Gustavo appeared and that he has to finish the job and this time, it has to be something definitive.

Galvan Mansion

Vanesa is happy that Cinthia is with her and thanks her for escaping the hacienda to be with her in these moments. Cinthia tells her that she knows she can’t think of something else and that she doesn’t want to be imprudent, but she thinks Vanesa should take Paula out of Rogelio’s life, unbeknownst to him, of course and that she should offer to pay the required lawyers for the divorce and give her some money to go away. Vanesa doubts they can trust her word.

Duran Maisonnette

Gustavo invites Ana Paula, Rosy and Margaro in. The house is not that big, he says, but they will be comfortable there. Rosy doubts it. “Thank you very much, amor! Thanks for opening the doors of your house to us, that’s very important for me.” Ana Paula, wait until you’ll have to pay the maintenance. Smooch. Auntie is disgusted. He tells them that Ana Paula and Rosy can go upstairs and he will stay there in the living room with Margaro. Wait, why not Margaro and Ana Paula upstairs and Rosy and Gus in the living room? Aaah…I meant Margaro and Rosy…no no…never mind. At this point, I am wondering if I am the only one disturbed that Ana Paula is giving Margaro a bad example by committing adultery in front of his own eyes. This could harm him later…at least they should try to be more subtle.

Auntie doesn’t fell like accommodating her stuff, so she asks them to do it. She finds a chocolate box on the table and eats some. Suddenly, le wild Mercedes appears in her sportswear, asking her what she is doing there and removing the box from her hand. “Oyee, don’t be rude! Didn’t your brother tell you that me, Ana Paula and Margarito will live her for a while?” “WHATT?” Mercedes is impactada (We should have an ‘impactada/o’ drinking game). “That’s right!” Mercedes widely opens her mouth and asks Gustavo for some explanation.

Hacienda

Rogelio asks Hugo to pick up his luggage, because the helicopter is ready. He calls Efrain and asks where they are and he says they are about to go to the church for the ceremony. He tells him that Ana Paula is in Tuxtla, so he should have his eyes wide open in case he spots her somewhere and call him immediately if he does. And of course, total discretion is required. “Not even to señorita Cinthia?” “Much less Cinthia! You follow her and you notify me. Pobre de ti if you fail me Efrain, pobre de ti!”

“Soon you’ll be back with me, Paula. Soon…” Precious dimpled smile from Rogelio. Jorge Salinas is incredible. His face is a mixture of happiness and sadness. Gotta love him.

Duran Maisonnette

“I left you a message on your cell phone! Moreover, it’s only for a few days!” Ana Paula: “I don’t want to cause any trouble! We should leave.” “No way, this house is both mine and Mercedes’ ” “I hope you weren’t expecting me to receive you with open arms after everything you did to my brother! Moreover, now it looks that you are married.” “No…” No? No? Come on, Ana Paula, YOU ARE married, like it or not. Besides, you were the one who went after Rogelio, asking him if his offer to marry her was still available and begging him to transform her into his wife, so don’t deny the obvious. “The things aren’t the way they look like”, she continues. “I will get a divorce and I swear I love your brother.” “But you’re still married to someone else”. Like Mercedes said earlier in this episode, she never had an affair with Ernesto, so Ana Paula should either wait for that year to finish, if she has some decency left (Viewerville is now wanting to burn me on the stake, I know.) or she should wait for the husband to die, as Mercedes did. Well, sort of.

Gus reminds her sister that she also played a role in their separation, because she never told Ana Paula that he was still alive. Although this doesn’t mean that she wouldn’t have fallen in love with Rogelio and marry him anyway. The circumstances accelerated the events, but with Gus dead or alive, she would have returned to the hacienda and with Rogelio’s irresistible charm, anything could have happened. Gus tells Meche that she should apologize; Ana Paula doesn’t want her to. Ana Paula just wants her to understand that she loves Gustavo. Mercedes explains that since AP also has a brother, she knows how it’s like to want to protect your beloved one, so she doesn’t want her to hurt Gus.” “That’s not going to happen! You’ll see that we will be very happy.” “Hija, we should go!”, says auntie, saving us from the cursi territory. They all give her the look. “We don’t have to indulge anybody’s mean looks” Mercedes apologizes and asks them to stay, then leaves. AP tells Gus again (Wow, she’s so repetitive today!) that she doesn’t want to cause any trouble and if it’s necessary, they can leave, but Gus wants to talk to his sis. Auntie agrees that they don’t want trouble.

Tienda de Ulises & Macaria

Dany wants to talk to Maripaz. Maripaz asks her if she wants to tell her that she is together with Miguel again, but she tells her that Miguel is very depressed, because he doesn’t want to go back to jail and he is very worried because Ana Paula isn’t showing up. Wait…I thought he DIDN’T want to see her there for their own sake. She asks Maripaz to go and see him, because she doesn’t know what else to do to cheer him up.

Duran Maisonnette

Gus talks to Esty on the phone, then tells AP that he has to go, because he wants more details about a possible new job. She tells him she will do the same, since she doesn’t want his sister to think that she is lazy. Wait…what happened with the hotel bill? Did they just leave like that?

Tienda

“Are you serious? You are in love with Miguel and you want me to go and see him?” Nooo, don’t do it Mary, he’s a bad influence and a bad influence leads to…a bad romance. Ra ra ra ra ra a roma roma ma ma. “When someone really loves another person, he’ll do whatever he can to make the other one happy! And I am sure that he’ll cheer up when he sees you. I swear I won’t stay in your way. Please, help Miguel.” Maripaz tells her that’s what she wants the most, but her father doesn’t let her get near him. For once in a while, it’s good to be an overprotective father.

Duran Maisonnette

Ana Paula tells Rosy that she will look for a job and Rosy tells AP that she will pawn the ring she loves so much, so that they can pay the lawyers to fight for Fede’s money. “Tia, I already told you to forget about it.” “NEVER!” AP understands that for Vanesa and her mother it’s difficult to accept her, but they don’t have to accept her, Rosy says. It’s enough if they just give her the money which belongs to her. Rosy says that’s the only way to solve their problems, because she needs money to face Rogelio and divorce him, since with the money he has, you don’t know what he can do. And if she has financial security, she can give herself a chance with Gustavo. Rosy really knows people’s weak spots.

Galvan Mansion

Cinthia asks Efrain to stop interrupting every time he sees her with David, since there can’t be anything serious between them. “But I wasn’t asking for you, but for something that the patron gave me do to. He’s coming here.” Cinthia gets frightened, asks him if he’s coming for her, but he tells her that he’ll come for his wife who is in Tuxtla. You traitor! “Discretion” certainly isn’t up there in his vocabulary. Cinthia is impactada.

Duran Maisonnette

Meche asks Rosy where Gus is. She tells her he went to look for a job and so did AP, to prove that they aren’t beggars. “Señora, I already explained to you what I think. And don’t you believe I have reasons to act like that?” “To be honest, yes! And I’m very sorry. I love my niece with all my heart, but I don’t understand her. I know she loves Gustavo very much, but she also likes to live like a queen.” “Well then, she should think better, because my brother isn’t a millionaire; he lives of his work. Umm…not even that. “That’s what I’ve been trying to tell her, but she’s never satisfied.” “What do you mean by that?” “Well, enough. It’s better to know it once and for all. That guy you saw her with the night of her graduation…” “Yes! The man she married with!” “Oh no, she dumped that poor guy also.” “Wait…let’s see…what?” “Yess, she was about to marry him, but no. She found someone else with more money and moreover, ill. So she preferred to marry him.” Mercedes shakes her head.

“My father is gone”, says Vanesa. “Yes, mi love! But we have to move forward and take care of what he left us. And now THAT Ana Paula won’t be able to prove that she is his daughter!” Hey, wait, that sound is familiar. It’s Rogelio’s wheelchair. Yay! Rogelio is there! “Buenas noches! Elsa, Vanesa, my sincere condolences.” “Rogelio! You were the last person I was expecting to see here!”, says Elsa. “Federico was my friend and associate; how could you think that I wouldn’t come to give you my condolences?” “Your friend?? You dumped our daughter before the altar. Do you think I forget what you did?” “Mother, let us talk, please!” Rogelio apologizes for not coming earlier and Vanesa tells him she knows that, since Cinthia told her he was very busy looking for his wife. “Did you find her?” “Not yet, but you can be sure that I will!” Wouldn’t it be better for you to forget about her? Please Rogelio, you already got even with me and you also suffered because of that woman who ridiculed you!” “You are talking about my wife!” “You can’t get back with her. She doesn’t love you, while we love each other. Rogelio, let’s give each other a new chance.”

It appears we have a new show starting on Monday. Anybody want to recap it? If we don't get volunteers, we'll just give it a pass. BTW my choice is correct, just ancient [via Old French from Medieval Latin abysmus = abyss]

Augusto Castañón and Estefanía Bouvier de Castañón are Elisa's parents. Carmina lives with them but plans to flee the town with Rosendo Arango (Alfonsina's husband, Damián's father), Alfonsina finds out and warns Augusto.

Estefanía tries to dissuade Rosendo from abandoning his family, but an automobile accident ends both their lives, so Carmine's able to convince Augusto that his wife had been unfaithful to him.

Augusto, disgusted, decides to marry Carmina though he does not love her. Alfonsina decides to send Damián away from the town to study (in order to separate him from Elisa, his dear friend, upon whom Alfonsina does not gaze with friendly eyes).

Years later, Damián comes back, now an adult and enaged to be married to Florencia Landuchi, whom he met while studying in Italy.

Paolo Landuchi, Florencia's uncle, is drawn by Elisa's beauty, but since she doesn't pay him no mind, he tries to rape her with Carmina as his accomplice. However, when Paolo is about to achieve his objective Damián appears, punches out his lights and saves Elisa.

Damián falls in love with Elisa and vice versa, so his old friend Gael becomes his enemy; Gael has also loved Elisa since he was a boy.

Augusto finds out about the relationship between Damián and Elisa, and haunted by memories of the betrayal of Rosendo and Estefanía, he frightens Elisa by threatening to kill Damián. Desperate, determined to protect the man she loves, Elisa agrees to marry Gael despite the great misery this causes her friend Paloma González who has always been crazy in love with him.

At the moment Gael and Elisa stand before the alter, Damián ...

The flurry of half-baked subplots is getting on my last nerve. The show has gotten so random!

Vince promises Candy he only said he'd sell her to Napoleon in order to "gain time." He wants to talk to Napoleon directly, to find his weaknesses. "He has no weaknesses," Candy says. She frowns at the little red box containing a whopper of a diamond ring. She's afraid. To distract her, Vince asks about the future. She wants ten children! She's worried for Vince, not herself. He shows his muscles.

At the dinner table, Pancho says "Chela and I are going to try." The kids are surprised but cautiously positive.

Cheeto and Rebeca, at a fancy restaurant, talk about moving to Miami together. She doesn't look very happy about it. They'll visit Eastern Europe. Or Alaska! Or Africa! She won't kiss him on the lips ... but Pancho, who's been dancing nose to nose with Chela, does kiss his starry-eyed cunis on the lips. We yawn.

Fer and the Doc spent an elegant evening dancing to Agustin Lara. She's been so close to death, she doesn't think about it, but enjoys every moment. He has a cute plan: let's run out of the restaurant without paying! Oh how much fun! It makes me mad. (Later he goes back and pays.)

Enzzo dreams about previous Chela snoggings but Moni rains on his daydream: Pancho and Chelo "are going to give it a try." She consoles him sweetly.

Pancho arrives at work talking all whispery/scratchy and pretentious, in a mafia outfit (black shirt, white tie), hair slicked back. Mike arries in a white hat and leather jacket talking funny too. Are they trying to talk like each other? Fail. Enter Rebe dressed like Chela in a frumpy apron talking slang and chewing gum. Oh, of course, it was Pancho's ugly nightmare.

Tomas looks worse than ever when Pepe visits him in jail and slips him money (I guess to bribe the bad guys). Tomas gives money to the thugs but it doesn't turn them friendly.

At college (I thought they'd all quit going) Lupe and Ana do a dull rehash. Lupe feels a little something for Tomas now that he is so hideous...

Freddy meets some prof from UCLA who wants to offer a teaching position.

Ines visits Vince at work. She demands whiskey. She has a solution to their problems: kill Fernanda! Vince screams no! But she says sooner or later Fer will find out Pancho is her son, and she doesn't want him getting his mitts on her dough.

The lawyer Mendoza finally got the security tapes; Pancho invites his daughter to come see them. Pancho sets the table and lays out the tortas and fondly viewing his lunch, decides he should stop calling Chela (who, blegh, put a lovey-dovey-valentine in the torta) his cunis.

Once again the papparazzi published pictures of Mike and Rebe together. Enzo tells Rebe: Chela and Pancho will "formalize their relationship." She says she always knew it! They commiserate.

What? There's a new show "Abyss of Passion" starting Monday?

Ines calls Fer with a fake friendly voice but scary music plays. "I'm so sorry for what happened in Germany, I want to ask your pardon in person - how about tonight?" Fer reluctantly agrees. Ines: "How was my acting?" She preens, Vince says she deserves an Oscar. He's warming to the idea of his aunt's death.

Mike comes in. Ines hits him with her stick for the things he's said that were bad for the stock value. What did he say? Was it when he said he's a felon? Or that the Belle Face stock is overvalued? That Ines was in a coma? She demands his resignation. Vince is happy Mickie is taking Rebe off to Miami because it will hurt Pancho.

Just when I think Candy's dresses couldn't get any more extreme, they do. She shows Fer and Chela the huge diamond ring Napoleon sent.

I don't think the security footage was very definitive, it just showed - a woman in sunglasses - but everybody there is pleased.

Lupe tells her dad: "Don't do it (try it on with Chela). You'll hurt our aunt. You love Rebeca." He compares his situation to hers with Tomas.

Sandra is friendly to Candy because she's in love with Chacho now. She gives Candy an "urgent" envelope to give Vince. When she hands it to him it bursts into tiny flames. Vince is terrified. Candy douses it with his water bottle. He applauds. The mystery woman Debora calls him saying: "This was just a test."

Candy tells Vince she wants him out of danger, so they should end their relationship forever. She leaves crying.

Pancho and Rebe face off: each claims not to care what the other is doing. "When are you resigning?" "As soon as possible." He goes to a sidewalk florist to distract himself by getting flowers for his new squeeze - but not red roses (that flower is for Rebe)...

Candy packs a suitcase poorly in preparation for fleeing. She leaves the diamond ring behind and gets on a bus.

Turns out Fer doesn't believe Ines is coming to bury the hatchet (except maybe in her skull) so she's glad the Doc offers to be at the meeting with her - the meeting Inez is cheerfully preparing for by brandishing a bottle of potassium poison.

Freddy's thinking over his future when his mom calls. Then Ana comes in, all sad because her career is over (because she visited her brother when he seemed to be dying). Freddy valiantly offers to buy all the cds. Now she's sorry she dropped out of college.

For this special first-night-of-being-Pancho's-girlfriend, Chela made every single food she knows how to make, the board is groaning. Everyone's talking. Vince arrives shouting for Candy. He tells them she took her suitcases and left after the letter bomb went off and Napoleon's woman called to say "things won't be so innocuous next time." Neither Vince nor Pancho knows what innocuous means but they know things are bad.

Sandra's father is in a diabetic coma in the hospital. Tell me why we care about this? She and Chacho distract themselves by going to some pretty place and putting fake flowers on their heads. Chacho doesn't drink because his dad was an alcoholic and died of cirrhosis.

Debora tells Napoleon: Candy's phone is still bugged and they can find her any time. While Candy calls home to say nobody can know where she is, Debora hops in the van to get her.

Freddy tells his dad he's been offered the job in L.A. but isn't going to go because of Ana. Pancho arrives and he and Vince yell at each other. Afterwards Vince reminds Freddy that when Ana wanted to make her cd she abandoned Freddy in a second, so he should do the same now!

Rebeka tells Fernanda she's leaving with Mike. Fer says this is the biggest mistake she could make - "You're running away, it won't solve your problems. You don't love Mike."

Fer is at the restaurant of death. Octavio hasn't come with her for some reason. Inez pats the potassium poison in her pocketbook and tries to smile at Fer without cracking her facelift.

Pancho tells Chela they should stop sleeping in separate beds.

LQNPA - March 6, 2012, Cap 50

UPDATE: My Internet is back, I've had some rest, I have a nice bottle of Coca Cola at hand which has energized me, and have now fleshed out this recap a little bit. Put a fork in it, it is done.

I know, I know, that title could fit just about any episode of LQNPA!

I had a long tiring day, and only half-watched LQNPA as I was capturing it to my computer. I am now waiting for the video to process so I can watch it for real and get my screencaps. In the meantime, I do have some vague memory of what happened, and have a downloaded version of the episode which I saw previously. So until I can get my butt in gear and write a more detailed recap (which won't be that detailed because I am tired and lazy, and let's face it, this was a total bummer episode) here is a screencap from the downloaded episode.

Rohell looks impactado at the news of Fed's sudden death.

Here's an overview of what happened tonight:

* La Vaca withholds Fed's pills, screaming at him to denounce Cupcake. He doesn't do so, so she watches as he expires on the floor.

* Vainessa and Sinthia are talking on the phone. Kvetching about the Cupcake being dad's bastarda. They learn that Rohell is hell on wheels bent to recapture his errant Cupcake at Boring del Cielo. They wish there was a way to throw him off the scent. David, who is sitting with Vainessa, pipes up and says, "I know someone there." He later calls Juan and they set things up.

* Tia MentiRosa decides she's now "too good" to hang out with her jewelery-selling friend, Elena. She dumps Elena, citing that her new, more elevated social circle won't accept Elena. Elena leaves, angry, but not before telling Tia off.

Tia gives Elena the old heave-ho.

* How many hours or minutes despues, I don't know, but Vainessa is told to come home and returns to see her dad still ON THE FLOOR, DEAD. Everyone stands around and watches as she cries over her DEAD FATHER who is STILL LYING ON THE SAME SPOT ON THE FLOOR, but no Mexican version of 911 has been called, no medical professionals are at the scene, nothing. There is talk of the undertaker coming to cart the body away. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Please don't tell me this is normal for Mexico, or anywhere. Even my industrial strength beanie is having trouble with this one.

She comes home, to see her father comfortably lying on the floor, where he has been assuming room temperature for however long. Hours? How much longer would they have let him lay there? Until he started to decompose? Seriously, that is MESSED UP.

Meanwhile, Cupcake is getting concerned because her phone calls to her Papi are not being answered. Little does she know that her dad's cell phone is ringing with her calls . . . the cell phone which is in the pocket of the shirt of her dad's gradually cooling body, which is STILL LYING ON THE DARN FLOOR!!!!

* Back at the hacienda, Sin and Maria are talking about how Rohell has gone off to retrieve Cupcake himself. Dany comes in and wants to see Miguel. A shrewish, completely unsympathetic Sin says no, because it's too late in the evening. Sin then gets a call from David, telling her of the news of Fed's death.

Sin is impactada to hear of Fed's death.

* Rohell yells at the ever-faithful Hugo when their truck gets stuck in the mud on the way to Boca del Cielo. Eventually they get there, though.

It's dark by the time Rohell and Hugo finally arrive in Boring del Cielo. (As an aside, for some reason I was surprised that vehicles in Mexico use the same handicapped logo thing as we here in the USA do. I just never thought about it before. Rohell's truck's license plate, naturally, has a handicapped exemption.)

* Cupcake and MentiRosa are both distressed at the news of Fed's sudden death. Cupcake because he papa died, MentiRosa because her meal ticket died.

* La Vaca claims that Fed died because she couldn't get him his pills in time. (Lying vaca!) Then she goes on to blame Cupcake for all of this, as if Cupcake's appearance is what did Fed in. Vainessa buys into this and the two shrews spend most of the rest of the episode shrieking about how this is all Cupcake's fault.

* Bad guy fisherman Juan is on hand to lie to Rohell when he goes to Cupcake's hotel to ask if she's there. Juan then tells Cupcake that a mutual friend (she assumes it's Bruno) had him send off her husband on a wild goose chase to some other town with a name I will not even attempt to spell.

Rohell arrives at Cupcake's hotel and starts to ask for her . . .

Lying fisherman Juan tells Rohell that he gave Cupcake a ride to a different town...

. . . and Rohell leaves after throwing lying Juan a wad of bills.

* Rohell doesn't find Cupcake but vows to keep looking and orders his men to keep looking. He suspects that something was not right about not being able to find her in Boca del Cielo. He returns to the hacienda, sans Cupcake, and is shocked to hear of the news of Fed's death.

He notices that Maria is wearing black. She informs him that Fed has died, which shocks and saddens him. I want to bring up something here—he asks Maria why she's wearing black. I thought that was funny question coming from a guy who ALWAYS wears black! (A side note: Compare the HD screencap here with the non-HD screencap above from this same scene. Big difference in clarity, huh?)

* At Fed's funeral, MentiRosa makes a spectacle of herself hovering over Fed's coffin and caressing his picture. La Vaca is is deeply offended and the two shrews have words.

La Vaca approaches MentiRosa, who has plastered herself all over Fed's coffin.

* Vainessa has to sign off on some of Fed's unfinished business, sees the bill for MentiRosa's hotel room, and doesn't pay it.

* There's some cutesy stuff between Cupcake and Guscake. Gus will help her out, whatever, I wasn't paying attention. FF>>>

Gus vows to be supportive and help Cupcake, now that she's lost her papa.

* There's some stuff with Mersnotty and Ernesto that doesn't interest me. Mersnotty's friend Chio brings over Ernesto to see Mersnotty and I forget what else. FF >>> Oh, I watched this now. Ernesto is recounting how he and Mersnotty broke up years earlier, he married this other woman hoping to forget Mersnotty. He was going to ask for a divorce but the wife was pregnant, so he decided to stick around. . . blah blah. Regrets, sadness, now he has this snotty little daughter around who won't accept Mersnotty. FF for real this time. FF >>>

* Rohell calls up Sinthia and b*tches about her going off on her own (I think). She's at a restaurant while having this conversation and Effer is getting frisky with her as she's trying to have a serious conversation with her foul-tempered brother. Effer's antics are very funny.

Sin is on the phone with the Angry Man in a Black Cowboy Hat as Effer gets frisky.

More of Effer and his public display of affection. . .

He dips below table level to do . . . whatever . . .

. . . and is disappointed when Sin pushes him away.

* Rohell, in a bad mood (as if there is a time when he's not in a bad mood!) rolls into Miguel's room and asks if Cupcake has any friends or anyone she knows in (other town that I won't even attempt to spell). Miguel doesn't know anything. Rohell threatens Miguel and says he'll make sure he returns to jail if he doesn't tell all that he knows. Miguel looks like a deer in the headlights.

Rohell on wheels barrels into Miguel's room, with important questions on his mind. He sends Dani off so he can talk to the Unibrow.

Rohell threatens Miguel with a return to the jail if Miguel doesn't tell all!

The Unibrow has a deer in the headlights look.

* Cupcake and MentiRosa are wringing their hands in the hotel room that Fed paid for when there's a knock on the door. It's Vainessa! END OF EPISODE!

Cupcake is shocked by the appearance of Vainessa at the hotel room.

AVANCES: MentiRosa calls Rohell and indicates that she's with Cupcake. Rohell looks beyond relieved.

Bonus picture with a technical note:

(A screencap from the downloaded version of this episode.) All those "comby" horizontal lines you see in this image (click on image to see larger version) are called interlacing. They are often more evident in scenes with more movement (like people running, or the camera panning quickly over a scene, etc) If you are processing a video on your computer, you can often select a filter (or find some button somewhere in your software) that says "deinterlace." This will supposedly get rid of the comby lines. I tried to get rid of these lines in Photoshop's "deinterlace" filter but it didn't work!

Lupe visits a badly bruised Tomas in jail. Things are not going well. She wants to know what *really* happened. He's lucky that Chela spoke some words in his favor, because she is sweet to him (horrifying face and all). He presses his advantage, and lays it on her... All I want is to be with you forever. Fortunately, visiting hours end.
