La Fea Más Bella #233 3/16/07 Crazy Carla has a plan...

Hello, everyone! I'm going to fill in for Julie for Friday. Three quick notes. One, I missed the first couple of minutes of the episode, I think all that happened was that Carla came up with the idea of making Lety jealous. She thinks that Fernando should use her (Carla) to make Lety jealous. This formula never fails, says Carla. If anyone has anything else that I missed please share!

Second, I erased my US version, so I'm recapping off the Mexican version. There may be additional scenes or scenes out of sync. I tried to organize it
so it would make sense.

Lastly, I can't get subtitles with the Mexican version. I wasn't able to give a very detailed re-cap of conversations. If anyone has anything to add or correct, please feel free to do so!

Who's running the office? (aka the Ariel, Alicia, Cuartel & Omar Part)

Ariel turns on the "charm" and demands to know why Alicia is sitting in that chair. She stands and says that she's the new President. He openly laughs at her. Alicia tries to explain that Marcia told her two. Ariel interrupts and insults her. He thinks that poverty has taken one of the two neurons that she had. He snaps his fingers at her and throws her out of the office. She walks halfway out of the office before turning to yell at him and tell Ariel not to snap his fingers at her. He gets right in her face and she backs down quickly. She turns and leaves.

The cuartel sees Alicia leaving and decides that this is a good time to make fun of Alicia. Alicia tells them to joke all they want. She was President for a day while they'll never rise above their current positions. (I hate to say it, she has a good point.) She pulls out the check and waives it around, telling the cuartel to look at her "prize."

Ariel and the man who was with Alicia exit the office. The man talks about re-decorating the office. He turns to PM and tells her that when Lety arrives to tell her that he came to the office looking for her.

At the bank, Alicia approaches the desk with her check. She sings to herself that she has everything that she wants. She approaches the teller and tells him to deposit her check into her account. He asks for a moment. She asks him if there is a problem. He replies that he just needs to check the signature. He walks away. Alicia talks to herself and says the first thing she will do is get back her car. She continues with a list of things that she needs to buy including new shoes and new make-up. The teller comes back and says that the check is not valid, because the signature isn't correct. Alicia is impactada.

Alicia recovers and says to the teller that this must be a joke. The teller replies that it's not. The signature doesn't resemble the one on file in any way. He hands the check back to Alicia. She reviews the signature and realizes that she's been outwitted by a dimwit. She starts to throw a fit and says that the teller and Tomas are going to pay!

Back at Conceptos the cuartel gossips about the check and whether it is real or not. PM walks into the room and shows them all a newspaper article saying that this is happy secretaries day. They need to celebrate. They discuss how they should celebrate.

Luigi is in the dance room, frustrated with all the preparations for the expo. The cuartel comes into the room and calls Irmita over the them. She dances across the room. They tell her about "Secretaries Day." They talk some more about how to celebrate. Luigi sees them and runs over to interrupt. He insists that they leave.

Irmita and the cuartel go back to the desks to make fun of the dancers. PM thinks that they shouldn't be so afraid. They should spy on the dancers. Lola's phone rings. It's Marcia, who asks for Alicia. Lola tells Marcia that Alicia went to the bank. Next, Marcia asks for Lety. Lola explains that Lety hasn't been in. Tomas told the cuartel that she's at a business meeting with Aldo. Marcia likes this, because that means that Lety is not with Fernando. Marcia asks Lola if she's sure. Lola begins to say that there's no way for her to know. Right at that moment, Omar walks in and loudly asks if Lety has returned from San Miguel Regla. Marcia overhears Omar and cannot believe that Lety went off with Aldo and not after Fernando.

In the editing room, Luigi and Omar review the most recent commercial. Omar asks to see it again. It's a commercial for condiments with lots of people dancing around the foods. [I'm guessing this part was not in the US version? I'm not going to re-cap the conversation because I don't think it was.]

Saimon clumsily exits the elevator. PM runs after Saimon, who made a weird face when she waived. The cuartel talk about PM and Saimon for a moment. PM seems to forget about everyone whenever Saimon is around. In the break room, Saimon looks for Luigi. He's surprised when PM enters and calls his name. She wants to talk to him about going out to eat and dancing, but he blows her off to go look for Luigi. She looks sad when she leaves the room, so the cuartel runs over to her and asks what happened. She swears that she'll get him back. He's the first guy who's never left her after the first night that they slept together. PM leaves the room, she doesn't feel like eating.

Saimon and Celso talk in the reception area. Saimon proclaims that he will not be snagged by that lasso again! She fought with him and then asked for forgiveness as though nothing happened. Never again! Celso and Sanzo don't seem so convinced. Celso tells Saimon that he (Celso) thinks PM is a good woman.

Fernando lets Crazy Carla talk him into a bad idea...

In a rare sign of clarity, Fernando tells Carla that he doesn't think making Lety jealous is a good plan. She agrees, but she thinks it will be pleasant. Carla rubs Fernando's shoulders. This changes his mind. Now it's a good plan. His phone rings. It's Marcia, calling from London. He very maturely makes a goofy face at his cell phone. Marcia wants to know why his phone was off. He tells her that he's been in meetings, as a matter of fact he's in a meeting right now. He pretends to tell someone where to sign a contract. He plays this game for a while until he accidentally says clavicle instead of clause (clavicula v. clausula in Spanish.) Marcia catches on that something is up. She tells him that he can call her because she's not going to call him anymore. She hangs up the phone. He stares at his phone and then makes some stupid little faces. (Carla seems to enjoy this.)

Carla's a little too good at what she does. She now has Fernando shirtless while she massages her back. Carla decides to give it a try and leans in to kiss Fernando's neck. He realizes what's going on and immediately jumps up and covers himself. Crazy Carla asks him what's wrong. Doesn't he want to make love to her. Let's see... 1. He runs from her when she tries to skinny dip in the park; 2. He leaves her when she is half naked in the bedroom; 3. He runs away from her in the middle of Manhattan. I'm thinking...probably not. Fernando has a little more tact and explains that he would like to (grrr...) but he just can't. Carla says there's no reason to hurry. She lets him know that they're going to be together the whole time he's in the United States. She's going to travel with him. A lot can happen in that time!

Aldo, Lety y la familia

Aldo tells Lety that until she forgets Fernando, she will never be able to experience true love. This really doesn't help Lety's mood. She asks Aldo what right he has to say this. Does he think that her love for Fernando wasn't real? Maybe so, he says. But Fernando never loved you back. [Ouch!] Lety questions his right to tell her this. What authority does he have to give her a lesson? Since a bitch slap doesn't seem appropriate in the moment, Lety uses a harsher method. She reminds Aldo that his indifference pushed his wife into the arms of a lover! [Double ouch!] Aldo is impactado. Lety immediately pulls back and tells Aldo she's sorry. He replies that she speaks with reason. She replies that she has no right to judge. She tells Aldo that she needs to tell him something. He asks her to speak. She loves Fernando, very much. She's tried to forget him. She knows him, and knows that he's suffering. She doesn't know why, but Fernando is suffering, and that hurts her.

Back in San Miguel, Lety and Aldo continue to talk. Lety thinks it's a good thing that they fought. It helped her a lot. She understands her feelings better. She's angry with herself, not with Fernando or Aldo. Aldo leans in towards to Lety and says he also has something to say. If she's so sure that she really loves Fernando, then she should fight for his love just as Aldo will fight for hers.

Aldo approaches Lety, who has moved outside, and continues to talk about her fighting for Fernando's love. Lety does not think it's worth it. She would rather fight for herself. She wants to be happy. Aldo asks for permission to fight along with Lety, for her happiness. They can kill two birds with one stone. They will both be happy. Lety thinks that once she finds happiness she will be ready to love. He kisses her hand. They have a fun playful moment.

Lety sits in her bedroom and writes in her diary that she has been unable to forget about Fernando. She thought this time apart would do it for her, but the opposite happened. The emptiness he left has been filled by her imagination. She remembers their past together. She thinks that that Marcia must be going through the same thing - unable to stop thinking about Fernando. Lety acknowledges that Marcia also really loves Fernando.

Next, Lety sits by a fountain and writes some more in her diary about Aldo. He's kept his promise and stayed close to her. [While Lety talks we see Aldo and Lety attempting to cook something. Aldo pretends to like it, but when he turns away he grimaces. Lety doesn't pretend. She doesn't like. More examples of Aldo's great skills as a chef, no?] Lety continues to talk about how he gives her strength. Now she's in her bed, and we hear the first strands of "La Vida Despues de Ti". She still loves Fernando. [Now we see scenes of Fernando and Carla - one in what appears to be the airport and another eating dinner. Has Carla satisfied her mission? We can't tell from these "photographs" of the time in the United States.] [We also see Aldo in his office, writing the end of his book.]

Lety is no longer writing in her diary, but we're back in the kitchen. Tomas, Julieta and Aldo stand around the counter preparing food. Tomas makes a joke that Erasmo doesn't like. Erasmo reminds Tomas that he is not in his mother's house; he is in Aldo's house. Aldo tells everyone not to worry. He's preparing a surprise. Lety walks into the room, talking on her cell phone. She's talking business - all about the two types of mole that Aldo will prepare. Erasmo compliments Aldo by saying that everyday he surprises Erasmo a little more. He cannot believe that Aldo can prepare a dinner like this. Aldo points out that the upcoming Expo is very important. Aldo sort of toasts Julieta who humbly replies that the important thing is that Aldo has impressed Erasmo.

Aldo tries to teach Lety how to cook. With love, of course! Lety thinks that once the restaurant opens in Acapulco, they should all go stay in Aldo's home. Erasmo doesn't want to be a bother to Aldo in his own home. Aldo gives a speech about how they are all family. Erasmo agrees. Tomas cannot believe that he's never been accepted and now Erasmo easily accepts Aldo as part of the Padilla-Solis family. Aldo has to leave, because his phone rings. Lety takes off after him, thinking it's about the book. After they leave Erasmo comments that they make a beautiful couple. Tomas and Julieta are impactados! Julieta is proud of Erasmo is accepting Lety and Aldo together. Erasmo clarifies and says he was talking about them as work partners. Aldo and Lety run into the room to tell everyone that the book is now ready. Everyone cheers and toasts the happy moment. Erasmo keeps a watchful eye on Lety and Aldo throughout the toasts.

The next day the cuartel stands on the curb wondering if they'll be invited to the expo. They've noticed that Lety and Aldo have been hanging out together all the time, but they haven't said anything about the expo. AT that moment, Lety pulls up to the driveway. They greet her and her Focus. They ask for Tomas and Aldo. Aldo is with his editor and Tomas is picking up his new car. Lety is nervous about the expo the next day, but the cuartel assures that they will support her. Lety tells them that they are all invited. This makes the cuartel very happy. They only thing PM is excited about is the amount of handsome men that will be present. Sara decides to spoil the fun by pointing out that today is the day that Fernando will return.

Have a great Saint Patty's, everyone!

Mundo de Fieras 3/16/07: "Some Mothers' Answered Prayers and Certain Other Mothers' Worst Nightmares"

Leo finds a beautiful young woman crying in the woods nearby his little clinic. She only tells him her father will be upset if he finds her there with him. She runs off without telling him her name. --Poor Leo. Women are always running away and rejecting him, even out here. Don't they realize what a great catch he is? He is a doctor, after all.........

Tiberio tells his daddy he's taking the blame for all the fraudulent dealings at Demian's construction company. Dolores runs in seeing the cops are handcuffing him. She screams that it is Demian who is really to blame. Ti tries to stop her. "Let me do my duty, Mom. Calm down. Everything will be fine." Dolores is as impactada as the rest of us. We all knew Ti was a dopey fool, but this self-sacrifice thing was totally unexpected.

The detectives ask Demian if this is true. Demian tells them all that that is true. Everybody holds their breath. Huh? Demian has his chance, but true to form --and our highest hopes-- he decides to let his sap of a son take the fall. "Tiberio just finished confessing to me that he's to blame for all the business abuses that I've been accused of."

Ingrid warns Miriam that they have no more credit with their European fabric suppliers. Since she hasn't paid the bills they refuse to fill any more orders and they will not be able to handle their customer's orders now. Miriam yells that that was what she was paying her to do! Ingrid complains that she was only able to do so much and the rest was her responsability. Miriam, she argues, was aparently too busy arguing with Karen and Jos to pay attention to her warnings and to the design business. Now Miriam stands to lose everything because the creditors are about to seize it all. "Ay! Damnation!"

Otilia asks Soraya out of the blue if she still wants to see her son. "More than anything in the world!" Otilia asks her if she's had word from him recently. "Not a single call." Otilia has somebody send in a visitor and it is her long lost son and Fabio wannabe --anybody even remember Fabio?-- Jorge who, unexpectedly enters the office and immediately gets on his knees asking Soraya to be forgiven. (A mother's dream, right?)

Yes, somehow Otilia has managed to find Soraya's son, Jorge, who had rejected his momma to this point because of her former job as a lowly cabaret dancer. (Momma's come a long way, baby! From cabaret dancer to personal design assistant for the hottest design studio in Mexico City. Take that, kid!) Soraya looks sternly at him then tells him that his rejection hurt her terribly but that she will forgive him. "A mother always forgives her children," she answers. Otilia leaves them to catch up on things.

Elsa and Candy go back to Candy's place. Candy is determined to help her daughter. She tells her that everybody falls victim to evil. In a one-hanky scene, Elsa finally confesses to Candy that she cannot help herself. She's a worthless tramp. She is addicted and has done all sorts of vile, low and disgusting things to get hold of drugs and hootch, including hootchy-coo with El Mastín. They cry together and she promises her daughter that with the help of God they will fight one day at a time to keep her from falling back into her old bad habits.

Jos tells Miriam she's worried about Gabe finding out she really did "off" El Coyote. He's associating Mariangela's kidnapping with her also. Although she of course denied everything to him, the way he looked at her with mistrust really got her scared this time. She worries that the jig is finally up. She is frustrated that everything she's managed is falling through her fingers now and she's losing control.

Miriam tells her that with this circus that's been going on around them it's no doubt, but they have got to maintain a calm appearance or they will give themselves away and that will definitely be their undoing.

Nic tellsGabe that Ti has taken the fall for his daddy's dastardly deeds. It looks very grim. Gabe admires Demian for having a son who would do this for his father. He asks Nic if he can try to do something for Ti to get him out free and clear of this mess. Nic says he would love to for Dolores' sake, but Ti's case is complicated by the fact he was already a fugitive from the law.

At his jail cell, Dolores tries to talk Ti out of this. She tries to get Tiberio to tell the truth to the authorities and not to sacrifice himself for his crazy, no-good, evil and selfish, abusive father. She reminds him how rotten things were for her when she was in the joint. He admits to her that it is his last opportunity to demonstrate his deep love for his daddy and to inspire some sort of affection.

Dolores tells Ti that Demian is not the admirable man he thinks he is. He's evil. This is a lost cause. The ingrate will remain free while he spends the rest of his life behind bars for nothing. She's been there and knows what she's talking about. Ti, though, has decided to follow it through to the end.

Alone in his office Demian tells himself that he is not going to soften. He didn't ask Tiberio to do this and he won't soften for any of them. If Ti is stupid enough to take the fall then let him.

Everyone eventually follows Dolores and Tiberio to the lock-up. First Nic comes in. He tries to get Ti to tell the truth for the love of his suffering mother. He says they both know he's lying. Nic warns him he has no idea what is waiting for him behind bars if he continues this lie. Ti again refuses and just keeps screaming like stupid Federico did: "I'm guilty! I'm guilty and nobody can make me change my mind!" (Talk about your misplaced loyalties.....)

Next, Gabe is in the jail lobby trying to comfort Dolores. "It's so sad that my brother could permit his son to do this." Pau and JC then arrive to lend her their support during this time of trouble. They bemoan the fact that history is repeating itself only this time it is her son that is going to go to jail, and all because of Demian. Dolores says she doesn't know if she can handle seeing her son imprisoned wrongly like she was.

Elsa goes home and Candy is then all alone. Candy suffers heart pains while asking the Virgencita why this had to happen to Elsita. (Bad move I guess, to question the Virgencita's motives.) Candy is ready to kick the bucket when suddenly Karen appears and walks right on in, uninvited, with a bag of goodies. She asks Candy what is wrong and how can she help. Candy tells her to get her medicine bottle from the bedroom.

Elsa sees her whiskey bottle with a few good swigs still in it and fights the urge to gulp it all down. In fact she takes the bottle and throws it onto the floor. It breaks into pieces.Sylvestre hears the breaking glass and accuses her of drinking again, but she explains what really happened. She actually fought the urge and threw down the bottle, but he doesn't want to believe her.

Sylvestre threatens to send Elsa away to the sanitorium to dry out. She tells him he's right to doubt her, but that she even confessed to her momma, just a bit ago, in fact. So he gripes at her for frightening her sick mother by confessing all the godawful truth. (I thought that was what he just told Elsa a few hours ago that she had to do to get on his good side and to prove to him she was ready for help so he wouldn't commit her. Damn, man, make up your mind already!)

Sylvestre has laid such a guilt trip on Elsa that when he runs out to see about Candy's health, she tries to slit her wrists. Fortunately she doesn't commit that sin, too. (Good one, Sylvestre --not!)

Dolores sees Demian entering the jail lobby and runs over and jumps him. Demian gets to smirk at her, "Get off me you crazy woman!" She starts beating him in front of the whole family and screams at him that he's a petty coward and willing to let his son take the blame for all his misdeeds. "You're crazy! I am not taking the blame for what your son did!"

Syl finds Candy with Karen. She's fine so Karen leaves after telling her that she cannot take the blame for whatever bad things Elsa does. Look at her and her mother and grandma, she says. Sylvestre and Candy agree that with the Virgencita's help they will save Elsa.

Leo at his new office in the boonies lights a candle, and is praying for patients (uh-gain). Nobody is bringing their children in for their free vaccinations. Leo is griping to himself that he has got to find a way to get them to come in when that same mysterious young woman appears at his office door. She tells him she came to apologize for her earlier behavior. They discuss her father's strictness. She thanks him for listening. He gives her an old armband with a picture of the Virgencita on it that was a gift from his mother on his 14th birthday. It is to protect her. She smiles and leaves. He cannot stop making puppy-dog eyes at her.

Pau, Karen and JC all confess they feel very close to Dolores. Karen says she thinks of her more as a mother than her own.

Demian visits Ti at his jail cell. Ti tells him he is doing this as the only way to show him how much he loves Demian, despite the fact he knows he's never loved him because he wasn't Regina's. JC was always his favorite. Demian says he never expected this from Tiberio and always felt Ti did what he did was not out of love or loyalty, but for convenience sake. Demian cannot tell Ti in the end that he loves him. He fights for words to tell Tiberio that at least he will feel some ".....gratitude". The reason is that he cannot love. He has only loved once and it was Regina.

Before Demian leaves he pats Ti on the cheek. "Good boy. --Now, do not to say anything to the police." Ti smiles and tells him despite his daddy never having appreciated him, he will stay quiet and sacrifice to demontrate his love. Ti then smiles through the bars like an expectant puppy.

Dolores remembers she hadn't had a chance to check with the nun about Paulina's birthmother. She hands Pau the name and adress on a card.

Demian aparently turns his back on Ti and walks out. Gabe confronts Demian on his way back. He demands that Demian come clean and stop letting his own flesh and blood rot in jail when everyone knows he's to blame. Every bit of proof pointed to his guilt and not Tiberio's. Demian tells his twin pretty much to go fly a kite. Gabe promises to stand up for Ti with the authorities and Demian warns him not to dare try it or he'll be sorry he did.

Next one in to see Ti is JC. Ti still is taking the fall but JC says there's no reason to since he knows that Demian is lying, because nothing happened at that company that Demian didn't first know about or authorize. He tells his half-brother that although it is painful, their dad will have to pay the consequences. He should be thinking about the suffering and fear his mother is dealing with now. Ti says he appreciates everything but this is his destiny and he has to comply with it.

Miriam and Jos see the headlines about Demian's company in the newspaper. Miriam figures this would be a good time to ally themselves with Demian again since all three of them have been left on the outs with the rest of the extended clan. The three of them have allied themselves on many other occasions and he needs them now as much as they need him.

As Demian attempts to leave the jail lobby Dolores see him and yells again that he's to blame. He tells her that no, it is all her fault. She was the one who gave Nic the remote control device and had him initiate investigations. So, she has nobody but herself to blame. He smirks evilly again and triumphantly walks out the door.

Nic and Gabe come to Dolores to tell her that Ti is being transferred to prison. He sealed his fate when declaring himself guilty. Gabe promises to look for any proof of Demian's guilt. Dolores breaks down in tears and blames herself. She tells them it is all her fault. Demian was right. She had Nic start investigating. Nic tells her that it was his fault. He was the one who started the investigation, not her. Nic will try to ask for a light sentence while appealing his case.

Miriam and Jos meet with Demian to discuss their reasons for alligning themselves against Gabe and Mariangela. Those two are now much stronger with JC's backing as now he's turned his back on Demian. (JC, remember, has become a huge stockholder after inheriting from Regina.) If he doesn't want Gabe and Mariangela to tromp them he has no choice but to join forces with the two fieras. Demian begins to think things through.

Gabe and Mariangela return to the manse to check on the baby. Mariangela says she's going to be sad at leaving the mansion and little LG. She cannot explain it but she has a special tug at her heart with him just as strong as the one she has for her own little boy. Mariangela bends over and checks Luis David right then. She becomes frightened when she realizes the baby is cold as ice. They race to the hospital with him.

Demian goes back to the office and starts burning all the hard copies of files that prove he's to blame for all the dirty dealings in the construction company. "They must blame Tiberio. I have to destroy anything that shows I am to blame." He sets fire to a number of files in a trash can on top of his desk. "Poor Tiberio," he laughs. "How he loves his daddy. How he loves his daddy! Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!" (He better hope the sprinkler system is busted. I wonder if he was smart enough to deqausse all the office's computer drives, too......) Burn, baby, burn!!

Zorro-Thursday, March 15, 2007, The bad guys get what they want and Diego rides an rides some more

I know Cathy had planned to do Thursday, but I thought I'd give her a break and considering my DVR didn't pick up Friday's episode I thought this was the least I could do, enjoy.

What’s happened so far:
Yumi‘s back at the de la Vega’s to heal Alejandro.
Pizzaro tortures Diego unmercifully and Esme witnesses the brutality
MA lays a heavy and thick guilt trip on Esme convincing her that Diego’s torture is all her fault because she has unleashed Monty’s fury by breaking off engagement.

Esme visits Monty at the prison and agrees to marry him on the condition that he let Diego free. Monty doesn’t believe her and asks for a roll in the hay as proof that she’s telling the truth. Esme tells him to go fry an egg. Naw actually she tells him no way, no hanky panky Diego will be the only man she’ll allow to ever touch her again. With Diego she has learned love, pleasure, etc. in a way that Monty will never understand. She’ll marry him but they will never share the same bed. Monty is seriously considering this arrangement (probably cuz he has the sister on the side).

Jump to Alejandro de la Vega’s bedroom where FS has paid a visit to his friend and is surprised to find him well and is impressed with Yumi’s medicines. FS thanks Alejandro for taking one in the chest for him and promises to find that “India” and kill her. Yumi who is there along with Dena & Dolores hearing this exchange and Dena drops the plate with medicines. Dolores picks up the plate and asks Yumi to accompany her to the kitchen to get more medicines. FS is actually there to discuss with Alejandro Diego’s situation. Alejandro is surprised and asks what situation. Dena informs her brother that Alejandro doesn’t know anything because didn’t want to worry him and FS ends up telling Alejandro that Diego is accused of being Zorro.

Back to the prison where Diego has been tortured for 10 hours. SAM and Padre Tomas are there and Padre Tomas is feeling for a pulse and trying to get Diego to respond. SAM lets Padre Tomas know that once Diego recovers Pizarro will start with torture all over again. Diego is groggy and Padre Tomas tries to get him to respond. Diego opens his mouth to speak and Padre Tomas asks SAM to leave them alone so Diego can confess. SAM tells them to hurry it up because if Monty finds out Padre is there, he will be tortured. Padre Tomas asks Diego to be strong, they are being tested. He’s called the brotherhood but its going to take some time to get him out. Diego starts asking about Esme and his dad. Padre Tomas tells him that Alejandro is fighting for his life and while this isn’t the best moment in their lives he’s confident they’ll make out okay. Diego tells Padre Tomas that they are trying to make him confess he is Zorro but it’s a trap because the mask and costume aren’t his (no, they belong to Tobias the idiot, auggh another for the Duelo whirlpool). Diego asks Padre Tomas to find Esme tell her that I love her, it’s not her fault I am here and to please not fall into the trap, he prefers to die than to see her marry Monty.

Cut to Monty knocking on door at Judge’s house (I guess Esme’s agreement okay by him). Monty wakes up the Judge in the middle of the night to tell him that he needs to perform a marriage, Esme & his. Esme tells him it’s not necessary but Monty isn’t so confident that Esme will keep her word so he basically pulls a song and dance that the happy couple wants a marriage right away and it couldn’t wait till tomorrow.

Cue theme song:

Back to the prison cell, Diego and Padre Tomas are talking and Padre asks Diego what makes him think that Esme would agree to marry Monty. Diego tells Padre its because she was here during torture, she’s being blackmailed. Padre agrees with that possibility and Diego stresses to Padre Tomas the urgency in finding Esme and to tell her not to fall into trap. Diego also tells Padre not to worry he won’t confess to being Zorro.

At the de la Vega’s Alejandro wants to get up and go to his son, but Dena stops him. FS says he can help but he has to know the truth, is Diego Zorro? Alejandro looks at FS like he grew another head. Of course not, Diego is studious, gentleman only weapons he knows are books and songs (i.e. a wimp, oh Alejandro if ya only knew). Heck he doesn’t even know how to use a sword. This info is proof enough to FS and acknowledges that once he took back Esme’s hand he knew Monty was going to take it bad. Alejandro says he knows Maria Pia had something to do with that but please understand it was only for love for Diego. FS says yeah, but I took back my word, MP only did what her heart told her.

Jump back to the church where Cardinal was grilling Maria Pia as to her past with FS. Apparently a fellow sister tattled on Maria Pia telling Cardinal she had a sinful relationship with FS few days ago (one guess as to who the tattler was).

Outside the jailcell, Padre Tomas and Bernardo are talking/signing and rehash that Diego isn’t good and Pizarro is torturing him like a Nazarene. Padre Tomas tells Bernardo the best way to help Diego is for Bernardo to don the costume and prove that Diego isn’t Zorro. Bernardo is looking at Padre Tomas like he grew another head and Padre Tomas signs to Bernardo that its urgent to go to FS’s house.

Inside the prison, Diego is laying down and he pulls the medallion and begs Esme to resist for him as he his doing for her.

At FS house, Monty tells everyone the good news (FS, MA & Olmos), he and Esme are getting married and he even brought the Judge so it can be done at FS house with FS as witness. FS thinks its weird but Monty says Esme was confused but everything is clear now. MA of course pipes in that Esme was only acting like a spoiled brat to spite him. FS asks Esme if it’s true, if she’s being pressured in anyway but all Esme tells him is do you really care if I was. FS asks to speak to Monty alone and Monty asks MA to bring out champagne to celebrate. Olmos tells MA that he knows her arm is being twisted into this and he understands totally. MA asks Olmos what’s he doing and to help her with something, what are those two up to? Judge asks to be awoken when ceremony is to begin, he’s tired and wants to sleep.

FS pours some drinks for Monty and him and FS tells him that the charges (Diego is Zorro and Alejandro is accomplice) are ridiculous. Monty tells him that everything is copacetic, there is evidence. FS tells him that everything is BS being that Diego is a wimp and what not but Monty tells him that’s the perfect cover up but don’t worry he’s being interrogated as we speak and eventually we will have a signed confession. FS says he knows the truth and gives a flying fart about Esme his concern is for Diego. Monty tells him Diego will be freed after the wedding. In addition, FS is to return Monty is books and in exchange SK will return to the prison el Callao where he can visit her however many times he wants.

Padre Tomas makes it FS’s house and speaks to Esme about how Diego’s doing and gives her his message. Esme tells Padre Tomas that she knows Diego is really Zorro and she admires him more for it and because the people need him is why she has agreed to sacrice herself. Padre Tomas asks what sacrifice at which point the Judge wakes up and asks Padre Tomas if he is going to be present for the wedding too. Padre Tomas looks at Esme and she confirms the wedding to Monty.

Back to the prison where Pizarro is wondering if Diego will sign confession and Diego much to Pizarro’s displeasure tells him he ain’t signing a lie (technically Diego is right, I mean the mask and costume weren’t his and Alejandro isn’t an accomplice). This angers Pizarro and they start another round of torture (pouring bucket of salt onto wounds). I hate Pizarro, another one for the Duelo whirlpool.

Padre Tomas tries talking some sense into Esme but Esme tells him not matter how brave no man can withstand the type of torture Diego is enduring. She asks PT to tell Diego that she loves him, will never forget him and will love him with all her heart. She’s visibly upset and PT gives her a hug to comfort her. PT tells her her sacrifice proves to him that she is a worthy bride for Zorro. FS, Monty, MA and Olmos return (it almost likes like they were all talking to each other how they all came in at the same time, eerie). They are all a little surprised to see PT there but Monty thinks this is wonderful that he witnesses the civil today because tomorrow he will do the church ceremony. Padre Tomas says unfouratnatley yes he has no choice but who will pay God for such an injustice and looks to both Monty and FS. To me FS looked a little guilty but of course not enough to stop everything, considering he has much at stake.

Back to de la Vega’s where Alejandro is worried about Diego. He tells Dena Diego is not fit for prison. Dena begs him to calm down he is not well but Alejandro promises that once he gets better Monty will pay and will show him who has power in this town. Alejandro tells Dena the truth about Yumi and about FS’s past, how he massacared the Indians. Dena tells him he is very noble for still wanting to help Yumi despite everything and that makes her love him more.

Yumi & Dolores are talking and Yumi acknowledges that for disobeying her godfather destiny in punishing her. Delores tells Yumi that she will follow Alejandro’s orders to protect her but to know her place. Dena is engaged to Alejandro and Yumi is there to take care of him not to fall in love with him. When Alejandro sees Yumi, he sees Regina and if she really loves him she should leave and let Alejandro marry Dena.

At the church, MP begs Cardinal to believe her, accusations are false. Cardinal asks MP to kneel before altar and swear to God and Jesus Christ that she’s never had carnal relations with FS. MP flashes back to their midnight tryst and swears that she is pure and a virgin before God.

Judge performs civil ceremony and Judge and Monty sign at the dotted line. Esme hesitates and Monty is quick to tell remind Esme Diego will not survive the night if she backs out. Olmos aptly points out to MA that she got away with it and she smugly tells him she always does. Esme flashes to Diego getting tortured looks her father in the eye and signs at the dotted line. FS&MA sign the as witnesses and Esme cries. Judge pronounces them man and wife and Monty leans in for a kiss and Esme gives him her cheek. MA asks for champagne to be brought out and Monty toasts to happiness. Esme refues to continue with charade FS calls her a spoiled brat. Esme tells him she is sure he’s happy to be rid of her and runs to her room. Amazingly enough FS actually looks a little guilty. MA apologizes for Esme blames it on nerves and excuses herself to talk to her. MA is in her room crying and begs Diego to understand why she did it. MA comes in to be a witch (I can’t stand her, off the Duelo whirlpool with ya) basically and spew poison. MA hopes that God hands out justice and MA asks her which God, the one that will bless the marriage ceremony tomorrow because she likes that God, he always does what’s better for her (MA).

Back to more torture at the prison. I am getting tired of this, I hate this part. Pizarro beats up Diego some more and is about to use a new weapon a glove with spikes but Diego passes out. He pours water on him to wake him up.

New day and Esme is up. Dena goes into her bedroom and asks Esme to explain what’s going on because MA told her she married Monty. Esme confirms that she married Monty to save Diego. Dena tells her that FS had already promised Alejandro that Diego was going to be released, the marriage was unnecessary. Esme doesn’t believe FS would keep his word and the fact that he said nothing to stop the wedding proves it. Ayy Esme, he can’t, Monty knows the secret about SK and that’s worth more than your happiness apparently. Esme tells Dena she doesn’t feel guilty about what she did, she did it for love and to let him live.

Monty is at the jail cell where they are taking an unconscious Diego back to his cell. Pizzaro tells him that he still has not signed the confession despite the vigorus torture. Monty looks at Diego and says who would have thought it, a few days ago Diego was a respectable member of society and now he’s nothing more than a rag doll. How much more are you going to loose Diego, the woman you loved so much? She is now my wife. Monty tells Pizarro the happy news and tells him tonight is the religious ceremony. Monty tells Pizarro he wants to go all out for his wedding, music, fireworks the whole shebang. Pizarro asks Monty if the torture should continue and Monty says no, his concern is Alejandro and confirms with Pizarro if the hitmen against Alejandro have been called. Diego will be released per agreement with Esme. Pizarro tells him he doesn’t have to acquiesce. Monty says of course not, Diego will be released after religious ceremony and after forging his name to confession. Diego will be rearrested and sent back to prison.

Esme rehashes everything with Dena again. Dena tells her that she cannot let her do it. Esme makes Dena swear not to do anything to stop wedding which she agrees.

Alejandro gets up and wants Yumi to help him go to Diego to get him out of jail. Yumi catches him and reminds him that he is not well and that while she has to obey him she can’t obey this time. While ordering Alejandro back to bed, Alejandro fells a sharp pain and passes out. Yumi cries for help.

MA vists Esme in her room with Catalina who has brought her wedding to loan to Esme for her wedding with Monty. MA kicks them both out of her room (good going I would too).

At the prison, SAM brings Diego food and tells him to lift his spirits up (uh he’s in jail getting tortured on trumped up charges not much chance of good spirits). SAM feeds Diego and tells him Monty ordered that food be brought. Diego doubts this kindness and SAM tells him lately Monty has been in a good mood must be because he’s getting married to Gov’s daughter Esme. Diego is commercial impactado.

Diego asks SAM if he is sure and SAM tells him there’s a big hoopla in the town about it. Diego is angry and runs out of jail cell and makes his way out of the prison. SAM calls for the guards. Outside the jail, Diego covers himself in petro and gives the guards the slip and locks the door on his way out. He mounts a horse and rides off.

At de la Vega’s Catalina helps Esme into wedding dress and counting praises about Monty. He’s powerful man, best catch in town, yadda yadda. Esme tells Catalina to take a hike and to not let the door hit her butt on the way out. Actually, Esme tells her to stop messing with dress no more fixing which Catalina replies oh your right who cares about a wedding dress if at the wedding night you are more interested in taking it off and Esme in a not so nice tone kicks her out of the room. She then sighs and says oh Diego what he had was so wonderful a dream that I should have never awoken from.

Diego is riding away covered in the petro giving the guards a good chase.

Cut to Monty getting reading for his marriage and asks Pizarro who just walked in why he never smiles. Pizarro tells Monty that they have problems. Monty doesn’t want to hear it, today he’s taking a day off so Pizarro is in charge. Pizarro stays quite and Monty takes this to mean a yes. Monty asks if streets are adorned. Pizarro tells him news is about Diego de la Vega. Monty assumes Pizarro killed him and tries to act angry but isn’t. That’s not the problem, Cmdr, Diego de la Vega has escaped the prison. Monty is impactado.

Diego has tricked the guards and runs off towards the cliff and the guards chase him.

At the church, Cardinal is tearing Nutty Nun a new one for having embarrassed Maria Pia. Cardinal tells her Nutty her sick imagine has no limits and orders three days of penance and meditation and then he’ll see what he does with her. Nutty runs away upset and confronts Maria Pia calls her liar and Maria Pia grabs her and tells her calm down. Maria Pia figures out it was here that blabbed and wants to know why. Nutty tells her she saw her that night in the cabin she saw everything how she and Gov committed lustful sins. Nutty is not fooled, Maria Pia is Gov’s lover.

Diego is still running from guards and jumps over some cliffs and hides.

At the de la Vega’s Dolores is telling Dena about Alejandro passed out yesterday after getting up and how Yumi brought him back to bed. Dena tells Dolores about how Monty blackmailed Esme into marrying him. Dolores is visibily upset. I justed wanted to add something, I think Dolores really talks like that because in La Tormenta, another Christian Meier novela, she talked the same way (either that or she's perfecting the accent taking similar roles).

Diego is still running and hiding and he flashes back to when he and Esme where making out in the river.

FS goes to the prison looking for SK and the guards inform him that they have orders to go with him and guard him. FS says he wants to go alone. Guards say she is crazy and FS orders them to treat her with respect. FS is given the keys to her cell and orders them to leave.

Nutty Nun and Maria Pia are arguing. Nutty insists that she was rolling around in lust with Gov and Maria Pia is trying to tell her she is wrong. Nutty is very hurt that after having praised her virture and wanting to be like Maria Pia and feeling dirty she finds out she is worse than her. Maria Pia cries for her to stop but Nutty just continues berating her and calls her a slut which results in a slap I think, I wrote that and can't remember if it did happen (about time, MP). NN-You know what, I never slept with my brother. They were ideas that existed in my dirty mind and I felt so dirty and I came here to be cleansed and it turns out I can be cleaner than all of you. Nutty tells her that even if Cardinal consecrates them she will not let her lead her or the community.

Guards announce the charges against Diego in the streets. Bernardo & Padre Tomas are discussing how to stop the Monty & Esme wedding. They decide that Bernardo has to dress up like Zorro interrupt the wedding, create a chaos and that way they will have to let Diego out of jail.

Asuzena (the gypsy lady) is reading the cards and something bad is going to happen. Diego stumbles into the gypsy grounds and passes out.

Monty is pretty peeved that Diego got out of his jail. Pizarro blames SAM who left the door open. Monty questions what did Diego do to get away from guards, took a weapon, took a hostage, what? Pizarro tells him he covered himself in petro and gave them the slip. He got to the door and Pizarro ordered the guards not to shoot him else more problems would have arisen. Monty insults Pizarro and the guards, calls them imbeciles and orders him to find Diego and warns him that if he remains alive his marriage runs a risk. Monty-Damn you Diego de la Vega, I will kill you myself when I catch you.

END OF EPISODE.

Mundo de Fieras, Thursday March 15. Beware the Ides of March, or...Karma's a Bitch

Leo, never one to let the word no stop him from ingratiating himself into others’ lives, offers Jossie some brotherly help with her murder problems. Leo…she needs a really good criminal lawyer, not support and understanding. Jos tries to blow him off but seems to soften for a second there.

Nico tells D the investigation into his company is over. D jumps for joy, but Nico tells him not so fast buster, it’s over because they found lots o’ irregularities and are going to charge you. D changes tactics—trying to catch the Nico-fly with honey…to no avail. Nico tells him that the building is surrounded and he ain’t goin’ nowhere. Now D is hoppin’ mad.

JC offers to Delores to look for Tiberio. His stupid brother is busy packing.

Gabe goes to pick up LG since he’s decided that maybe Jossie really is too crazy to take care of a kid, Jos refuses to give him up, since she has the paper giving her custody.

Silvestre & Elsa have a little discussion about her substance abuse. He didn’t tell Leo & Cande, because he didn’t want to rain on their little MA parade. BUT, he is going to lock her in the house, so she can’t go buy hooch and more drugs.

Leo is whining to Cande about everything, including the cream of carrot soup she just made him. She tells him to shut up and eat, have you ever seen a blind rabbit, she asks. Good one Cande! Then he starts whining about his long lost sister, stupid Joselyn. With the patience of a saint, she listens and advises. I think Leo makes a good case for corporal punishment…

Jos is complaining to her mom about Gabe trying to take LG. The idea of using Leo in this whole debacle comes up…gosh, didn’t see that one coming. They think about having Leo telling Gabe (since those two are so darn close). Miriam is uneasy, but Jos says, we’re gonna do it mom!

Nico lets Gabe in on all of Demian’s little problems with the law (since Gabe had noticed the guards outside the door). Gabe is worried for his brother. Nico gets all serious-like and says, Gabriel, karma’s a bitch and justice comes before all else (well, maybe not the karma bit).

JC offers to help his dad, who makes the good point that there’s not a whole heck of a lot that he can do to help. Making sure that bridge is fully aflame, D tells JC that he was a pain in the butt since the day he was born, especially since Regina loved him more than D, and that he hates him, yada yada yada. JC tells him that that really hurts but he forgives him anyway. Gabe goes BSC.

A much cuter Karen is chatting with Leo about the problems with Joselyn. He tells her she made the right decision listening to her conscience and tattling on her mom.

JC tells Paulina all about his awful fight with his daddy. She goes off with Gabe, he goes to find Tiberio, who has already fled the scene. Tiberio is actually reading the large-print newspaper article about D’s misdeeds.

Nico goes to visit Dolores, wondering if he’s going to be getting any any time soon, now that the whole Tiberio thing is coming to an end.

D tries to escape his office but gets nowhere…it seems the only way he’s getting out of there is through the window. Oh maybe not…turns out he’s got a gun.

Gabe reads the newspaper and notices a picture of the dead Coyote and confronts Jossie about it. Jos tries to pretend she doesn’t know who he is. Gabe is not convinced and convinces her of MA’s kidnapping. She goes off in tears, her ricitos de oro bouncing along ten feet behind her.

Elsa finally gets caught swigging the hooch by Cande, who can only ask her why…Elsa breaks down and we all finally feel sorry for her. Cande promises to help save her from the bottle. They hug.

D is looking like he’s going to try and kill himself with the gun (I thought he was going to use it to break out) but Tiberio bursts in and saves him (um, didn’t the guys outside the door notice a wanted man strolling past?). Tiberio & D have a little father/son moment, in which Tiberio offers to sacrifice himself for D, the police come in and he gives himself up. Dolores is beside herself and D is shocked.

Leo confronts the old fart in the cowboy hat and tells him off and then finds a hot babe out in the field…we can all see the little cartoon hearts in his eyes. There's hope for Leo after all.

La Fea Más Bella #232 3/15/07 Alicia Is Queen For a Day

Carla gives Fern some advice on how to get over Lety: He needs to focus on the stuff that bugs him about her. He agrees to give it a try. After some thinking [which seems to cause him pain, you know, like when you work out muscles you don’t usually use -- in this case, that muscle is Fern’s brain], Fern says he can’t think of anything that bothers him about her. Lety has no defects, she is super marvelous and beautiful. Carla finds this hard to believe. She says she saw Lety’s photo so she knows that Lety is a tiny bit ugly. Fern objects to this.

Lety and Aldo are visiting a waterfall. Aldo helps Lety find the rainbow created by the waterfall’s mist. Omar takes their picture from afar and sends it to Fern.

Fern admits that when he first met Lety, he did not think she was hot. Carla says “Come on, she’s downright ugly!” Fern points out that beauty is in eye of the beholder. Her ugliness doesn’t bother her because she is not ugly. On the other hand, he admits that lately, Lety has treated him badly. She has become cold and sangrona [disagreeable, unpleasant]. Carla advises Fern that when he starts to think about sweet little Lety, he should remember those things he doesn’t like, and above all, he should remember that she spent the night with another man. Fern refuses to believe that last part, and says that Lety was brought up very well and has principals. Carla points out that Lety was willing to sleep with him even though he had a girlfriend. Fern doesn’t think that counts because their love was special. Just then he receives the picture of Lety and Aldo on his phone from Omar and becomes despondent. He becomes angry decides that Carla is right; he must forget Lety, that ungrateful traitor. His bottom lip trembles. Carla ceases the opportunity to stroke his hair [can you blame her?].

Aldo are still at the waterfall. Lety tells Aldo about the PG’s advice that she must let her pain flow like water. She says she really wishes she could let the pain over Fern flow away. Aldo says that would make him the happiest guy in the world. Omar is hiding behind a rock but is close enough that Lety and Aldo hear Omar’s phone ring. Omar answers and Fern tells him he’s decided to forget Lety, and he doesn’t want to know anything more about her. Omar says he doesn’t believe it. To prove it, Fern a picture of himself and Carla and sends it to Omar. By now, Fern is furious and he yells Omar that he is going to forget that gar… that gar… he can’t bring himself say “gargolita” and instead says “Leticia.” Omar sees the picture and is impressed. Meanwhile, Lety and Omar are standing right behind him with their arms crossed. Lety suddenly yells, “What the heck are you doing here Mr. Carvajal?”

At Conceptos, Lopez has announces to the employees that Marcia has told him to put Alicia in charge until Lety gets back. Alicia dramatically takes an oath of presidential duty and quickly names Tomas the V.P. They cuartel points out that he is already a V.P. Alicia formally re-names him V.P. of finance. She sends cuartel to work. Cuartel can’t believe it and they have to hold PM to keep her from bum-rushing Alicia.

Tomas holds Alicia’s hand and leads her to the presidential office. He tells her he is at her service. She is initially annoyed by his attention then suddenly turns on the purring kitten act. She tells him she has a special assignment for him and asks him to come back in half and hour.

Lety takes Omar’s phone and throws it in the water. She screams “What do you want from me? Why do you care what I do with my life? Why can’t you leave me alone?” Aldo urges Omar to leave. Omar agrees to go back to Conceptos right away. Aldo tells her to stop playing into their games. Lety snaps at Aldo too and yells at him to stop pressuring her and to leave her alone.

The cuartel grabs Tomas in the lobby. They call him a traitor for supporting Alicia in Lety’s absence. Tomas says he’s just humoring her to see how far she will go. They seem to buy it.

Carla continues with her advice on life. She tells Fern that it’s not important where you are, only how you feel. She reminds him that he promised Omar that he was motivated to forget Lety. Carla thinks this a good time to make a move and put her head on Fern’s shoulder. Fern jumps up yelling “Aha!” He realizes that Carla, with all her psychological training, has been brainwashing him. He proclaims that will not be manipulated. He says he doesn’t want anything to do with Lety or Marcia or her. After some hesitation, he runs away. Carla thought bubbles, “Darn, I almost had him!” but she does not plan to give up.

Alicia twirls around in Lety’s office. She thanks Lety for disappearing. Tomas to the office returns for his orders. Alicia becomes the sex-kitten and teases and taunts him. Tomas is loving it. Finally, she asks who Aldo’s great love is. He turns away from her. His is having trouble breathing but managers to say that he can not tell her. She reaches over his shoulder and puts her hand in his shirt. He visibly shakes like some sort of marital aid [I know… ewhhh!!]. Is it really so important for her to know that she is willing to do this? …No, actually she has a something else in mind: She asks Tomas to make out a check one million pesos! His eyes widen like saucers and his nostrils flare in and out.

After a commercial break, Tomas says he’s not authorized to just sign over a check to anyone. Alicia says it’s a presidential order.

The cuartel are at lunch already and their whining about Alicia. They decide she will get fired for her antics.

Tomas agrees to write the check if Alicia agrees to never ask about Aldo’s love life again. He runs off to his office. Alicia can’t believe her luck on her one day as president.

Aldo returns to his cabin alone. He realizes how badly he behaved by pressuring Lety. He calls himself an egoista. He only thought about his feelings, and not hers. He sits and thinks aloud that now he really feels jealous of that Fern. Meanwhile, Lety is out on his balcony listening.

Alicia critiques Lety’s decorating, especially the Monster Ladyparts Shell of Doom. She calls PM and tells her to send Lopez to see her. Lopez runs into her office literally 2 seconds later. [Okay folks, if you have anything to treat indigestion, pause here a minute and go get it, you will need it in a second.] Lopez leans over her desk and puckers up for a kiss (bleh!). Alicia is disgusted. He wants a reward for making her the president. She pinches his lips with her long nails. He squeals in pain. She tells him making her president is not enough for what he is asking, but if he does her one more big favor, she may see it fit to return the favor. She wants him to decorate the office to make it fitting of a presidential princess. He begins to protest then realizes it’s better for him to just do as she says.

Tomas in his office with a check made out to Alicia but he can not bring himself to add the amount.

Alicia calls PM again and demands coffee. PM says it’s on its way and profusely apologizes. The entire cuartel comes in, each with a cup of coffee for her. She stands in front of the desk and the women all begin to manicure her nails and pet her hair. She sees that Sarah is not fawning enough and calls her lazy so Sara begins to brush lint off a chair. Alicia insults them a bit before sending back to their desks. One by one they leave her office. Back in the vortex, the ladies decide they did not appreciate how good they had it with Lety. They agree to beg Lety’s forgiveness when she gets back.

Aldo is still verbally thrashing himself for being a jerk and taking advantage of Lety. Lety walks in from the balcony and says she is here to explain herself. She says she mad, really mad!

Lopez goes to see if Tomas has the check ready. He explains to Tomas that if he (Lopez) shows Alicia that he helped her out, she will “compensate” (wink-wink) him [Do you think Lopez was born a dirty old man, or did he develop that skill? He sure seems to be a born-natural]. Tomas does not like the idea of Alicia “compensating” Lopez. He tries to mask his rage, though he can’t keep his fist from tightening. After he leaves, Tomas thanks Lopez for helping find the solution to his problem. He shakes his fist some more.

Fernando sits in a nice high-rise hotel room with floor to ceiling windows and a great view of more high-rises. He declares that he visited Statue of Liberty, therefore today is his Day Of Liberty. He will break his chain to all those women. There is a knock at the door and of course it’s Carla. Sees her through the peephole and begins to walk away but then decides to let her in. Carla comes in and says she feels bad that he misinterpreted her advice [yeah, right!]. She assures him that they will only interact in the most professional of manners. She gets up to leave. Fern stops her.

Zorro theme "Amor Gitano" translation

For all the Zorro fans, here are the lyrics and translation to the Zorro title song. I copied it from a website, so don't think I actually wrote the syllables.

Alejandro Fernandez & Beyoncé

Alejandro:
Aaaaiii!!!!
Aaaaiii!!!!
Gitanaaa!!!
Gypsyyy!!!

Beyoncé :
Ooooo...
Ooooo...
Ven y quédate conmigo, Dame el corazón
Come and stay with me, Give me your heart
Vida mía estoy muriendo lento en mi prisión
My love I am dying slowly in my prison*

Alejandro:
Anda dime lo que sientes, Quítate el pudor
Come on tell me what you’re feeling, take off the modesty
Y deja de sufrir de capa con mi amor
And stop the masked suffering with my love
Después te llevaré hasta a donde quieras
Afterwards I will take you wherever you want
Sin temor y sin fronteras, Hasta donde sale el sol
Without fear or barriers, to where the sun rises

Beyoncé :
uuuu...
uuuu...
Contigo soy capaz de lo que sea
With you I capable of anything
No me importa lo que venga, porque ya sé a dónde voy
I don’t care what comes, beause I know where I’m going

Y aunque nos cueste la vida
And even if it costs our lives
Y aunque duela lo que duela
And even if it hurts
Esta guerra la ha ganado
This war was won by

Our love

Beyoncé :
Yo nací para tus ojos, para nadie más
I was born for your eyes, for no one else
Siempre voy a estar en tu camino

Duelo de Pasiones, Thursday March 15 - Don Loco goes (even more) loco

Emilio told Luba that Thelma hadn't lost the baby. Luba felt stupid for having believed that she-wolf Thelma.

At home, Emilio asked Thelma why she had lied to Luba, but Thelma pretended not to know what he was talking about.

Marianita had a medical crisis while her mother was travelling to Sierra Escondida to see Alvaro. Dr. Love told Malena, "Her pulse is weak," and admitted that Marianita was terminally ill. They rushed her to the hospital, where Juanito later came to visit her.

Jose and Arcadio headed home for Mexico. Jose said he intended to tell Mariana everything that had happened while he was away.

Later some men who were following Jose (apparently police officers) commented that the authorities in Mexico would be waiting for him.

Santos told his mother that he wanted to forget Rosita, but later he changed his mind and said he still loved Rosita and would go back and beg her forgiveness.

Meanwhile, Rosita said to herself, "Santos, now I've lost you forever. I can never tell you that your own father abused me."

Alina and Soledad hung around inside the church without any apparent fear that someone would see them. Soledad advised Alina to forget Emilio and start a new life. Alina insisted that Emilio was a good man, so Soledad asked Father Cristobal to tell Emilio they needed his help.

Elias cried and blamed himself for not forgetting Soledad during his marriage to Blanca. His co-worker (don't know his name) said he should seek spiritual help.

So Elias went to the church, where he found Soledad and Alina. He told them Blanca died of a heart attack and Alvaro wasn't involved, saying, "Alvaro is loco, but not a killer." He told them he would arrange their escape from Sierra Escondida.

Adela told Alvaro (aka Don Loco) she was preparing a room for Mariana, whose arrival was expected. Don Loco said, "Listen well, Adela. My sister can't find out what's happening here." He said he would pull out the tongue of anyone who revealed the truth to Mariana.

Father Cristobal visited Emilio and said, in front of Thelma, "You and I have to talk. I bring news of Alina." But he said first Emilio would have to convince him that he could be trusted. Just then Vera told Thelma that Don Loco was there, furious and insisting on talking to Emilio.

Thelma went outside and Don Loco told her that Emilio was trying to help Alina. Thelma said, "You're not the only one who opposes what he's doing." She said if Emilio brought Alina to the house, Thelma would make her work as a maid. She added, "At this moment Padre Cristobal is telling Emilio where to find Alina."

Alvaro stormed inside and confronted Father Cristobal, who was forced to claim that Soledad and Alina had already left for Puebla.

Outside the house, Alvaro yelled at Cristobal some more for going to Emilio instead of him, saying, "You're wrong if you think the little captain has good intentions!" He said Emilio wanted Alina to become his maid.

Cristobal, of course, chose to believe this, telling himself, "Now I can't trust Emilio." He went back to the church and at first refused to tell Alina anything except that she should forget Emilio. Finally he told her that Emilio wanted her to be his maid.

In a flashback, Luba remembered telling Gaspar's long-haired father (also named Gaspar) that she was pregnant. Then she remembered Gaspar Sr. lying on his deathbed while Luba and the adult Gaspar Jr. begged him not to die. Gaspar Sr. said, "Forgive me, please," and croaked. Gaspar asked his mother, "What are we going to do?" and Luba said, "Have strength. We are together."

As Luba was remembering this, Gaspar returned to the cave and asked , "Have you seen my munequita, Mami?"

Luba told him that Thelma was upset about losing the baby, so they couldn't go back to the hacienda because if Thelma's husband knew the truth he'd kill Gaspar. Then she asked her picture of the Virgin Mary why she had to lie to Gaspar about Thelma losing the baby.

Don Loco sent Sergio to Puebla to look for Soledad and Alina, but Sergio of course had no luck. Don Loco berated him, "How can it be that you can't find them?" Sergio said no one there had seen them.

Alvaro started trashing his house, tossing over furniture and breaking things, shouting, "Soledad and that damn foreman are together! Where are you? Where are you? I'm going to find you! Soledad! Soledad!" Not only did he look more completely loco than ever, he also looked as if he were on the verge of having a heart attack.

Apparently the servants went for help, because hairy psychiatrist Dr. Z showed up and told Don Loco, who was staring into space with a crazed look on his face, "Calm down, calm down. Everything will be OK."

Meanwhile, in Maximo's office: Maximo asked Braulio why Rosita was angry at him. Braulio said, "My poor daughter has been raped, and the truth is she thinks it was you."

Maximo very angrily denied it, saying Rosita couldn't prove anything because he didn't do anything, and if she accused him people would talk about her.

I think(?) he finished up by saying the only reason he didn't kick Braulio out ("si no te corro a patadas") was that he still liked Rosita, even though she was used. "Now get out!" He pulled his gun on Braulio, who left.

Mariana arrived at Don Loco's hacienda and was greeted by Adela, who said Soledad and Alina were "on a trip" and Alvaro was in his room with a doctor.

Mariana said, "I'm going to reveal a secret to Alvaro that I have kept for years." Adela warned her that it wasn't a good time, but Mariana went to see Alvaro.

She found Don Loco in bed. Before leaving, Dr. Z told her that he'd given Alvaro a sedative and she should let him sleep. He said Alvaro had suffered an emotional crisis, and it was important not to upset him.

After Dr. Z left, Don Loco asked, "Why have you come, Mariana?" and told her to go back to Mexico City. What a loving brother. She asked what was wrong and Alvaro said he was a little depressed.

Mariana decided she couldn't tell him that she had a daughter with Jose Gomez. She told Adela she would return immediately to Mexico City.

Alina fretted about Emilio's supposed plan to turn her into a maid. She told Soledad she had nothing against working as a maid, but she couldn't accept Emilio giving her orders.

Later Jeremias (the drunk old pervert) saw Stupid Alina hanging around outside the church (DUH, ALINA!) She ran inside and he wondered how much money Alvaro would give him for revealing where Alina was.

Emilio told Angel that he'd offered to help Alina but she didn't accept. Later Nurse Susi heard Angel say in his sleep, "Alina, Flor." She woke him up and told him he was having a nightmare. Angel said, "No, it was a beautiful dream." Poor Nurse Susi.

Braulio told Rosita he thought Maximo was the one who raped her. "Turn him in, he has to pay for what he did!" Rosita said, "He deserves much more than jail."

Alina had a nightmare in which she was Emilio's maid and he barked orders at her, saying, "To you I am not Emilio, I am your boss, understand me?"

Orlando caught Thelma kissing Castulo in the garden and asked her, "What are you doing?"

At the end of the episode, Maximo was outside lighting a cigar when someone came up behind him and started to strangle him with a cord.

Duelo de Pasiones - Wed March 14 - Maldita Faja! Damn Girdle!

Intro by Sylvia: Emilio says, "So, Don Alvaro, we meet again." He says he is there for the same reason as Don Loco, to find Alina and Soledad. Don Loco demands, "Why are you involving yourself with my family?" "Your family?" snaps Emilio, "I thought Alina wasn't your daughter!" (Points to Emilio for that one.) "OK, she's not," admits Loco, but I still want you to stay out of my business." "How are you going to stop me?" challenges Emilio, "are you going to shoot me again?"Don Loco doesn't look impactado, but he does look royally PO'd.

Wednesdays episode by Lynn: Sylvia was right. Don Loc was pissed. He warns Emilio to keep his distance from Alina and his wife. Emilio warns Loco that he is not the law, the real law reaches far and wide. Loco is undeterred. He spouts off a few more warnings ending with “You will regret this!” with a final “Don’t follow us!” tagged at the end. Emilio promptly ignores Alvaro’s words and takes off talking to himself that he is going to save Alina.

Everyone is crying at Ruitilios funeral. Braulio, with his arm around Rosita, talks to himself how the jerk who did this will pay….. Ingenio arrives late to the funeral claiming he has just heard the news. Rosita goes off into her mind with memories that make her certain that it was Max who raped her. (Personally I don’t think he did it. I think Max’s size is our clue that he didn’t do it. He is a lot heavier than the guy we saw attacking her.)

Donky barks. Emilio shows the dog the animal hide and asks Tonqui/Donkey/little blood hound doggie to follow the sent.

Pancho and Tula are alone together in their hut. Tula asks what he plans on doing with the women after they get the lana ( money). Pancho tells her to mind her own business. Tula tries another conversation route. She wants to know why he treats her so bad. Pancho answers her by whacking her face with a backhanded slap and by throwing her onto the bed with her hair. Tula sits stunned with blood rolling down her face. She eyes a rifle in a corner. She grabs it, cocks it and points it at a well deserving Pancho. He taunts “Are you going to kill me idiot? You don’t have the courage to do that. Come here!” Tula fires the gun. Pancho falls to the dirt floor dead. Tula starts to mentally crumble, crying hard.

Don Loco, Sergio, and the other bad guy follow the sound of the gunshot.

Tula goes into the shack where Alina and Soledad are tied up. She is brandishing a knife as she cries. Soledad screams “Don’t hurt us! Don’t hurt us!” Tula cuts the ropes off their wrists and feet. She shows them a door and tells them to escape.

The good doctor Vasquez and Nurse Suzy talk over Angels sleeping body. The good doctor has given Angel some antibiotics and he is doing better. The good doctor turns his attention to Nurse Suzy. He has noticed that Suzy has feelings for Angel. She pretends she doesn’t like him like that.

Tula meets Don Loco plus others outside and tells them that the women have escaped. Loco goes into the shack where the women were and starts throwing things around, cursing. He comes out of the shack mad that Soledad has gotten away. He chokes and then he punches the remaining bad guy blaming him for Soledad’s escape. The guy pleads for pity but Loco has none to share. Sergio wants to know if he should shoot the guy but Alvaro tells him not to bother. They ride off leaving the bad guy lying on the ground.

Tonqui/Donkey/sweet littel doggie runs off as Emilio sees the shack and dismounts to enter. Emilio first goes to the bad guy who is lying on the ground and helps him up.

Alina and Soledad run behind the shacks and hide in some weeds that don’t even cover them. Tonqui/Donkey/tired of running doggie sits down next to them as they crouch hiding from Loco and Sergio. (Man Soledads highlights look great. Adela is one heck of a colorist.) Loco and Sergio ride up near to where the women are. They see nothing and decide to head for town instead. After they leave Alina and Soledad get up and take off running.

Emilio asks Tula where are the girls. Tula is a mess, crying and in shock. She tells Emilio that she shot Pancho. The other bad guy wants the police to come and arrest Tula for murder. Emilio tells him to forget it, its obvious she has been beaten and did it in self defense. He tells Tula to remember to tell the cops she acted in self defense when they come. Emilio gets up to leave as the remaining bad guy looks evilly at Tula. Emilio gets back on his horse, talking to himself that Alina doesn’t want to have anything to do with him.

Thelma has Vera tighten her girdle (faja). She curses her pregnancy as Vera struggles with pulling the girdle tight enough for Thelma’s liking. Thelma doesn't want her pregnancy to show.

The Sing Aunt has gone out into the forest to find Gaspar chopping wood. She tells him that Thelma was sick and she lost their child. He needs to forget Thelma. Little does she know but Luba is listening in on their conversation from behind some bushes. Gaspar meanwhile is devastated to hear what Singing Aunt has to say. After she leaves he kicks the wood upset that Thelma lost his child. Luba comes out of her hiding space to comfort him. She tells him its best that she lost the child. He can have kids with Nora…..

Alina and Soledad exit the forest to see a church. Marianna arrives in Veracruz.
Marina (the cousin of Marianna?) receives a note that has arrived at their apartment for Marianna. She wonders to herself who could have sent it? She opens the note and sees that it is from Jose. “After all this time! When Marianna is preparing for her wedding!” she complains to herself. The cousin rips up the letter. The freaky doctor with the bow tie comes into the room with Marianita on his shoulders. Marianita wants to know who sent the letter. The cousin tells them it was just an advertisement, nothing more, as she throws the note in the trash.

Rosita talks to herself looking very Frieda Khalo like. She knows who raped her. It was Max! Braulio comes into the room and tries to comfort her. He wants to send for Santos. He knows Santos still loves her. Rosita doesn’t want to see Santos ever again. She doesn’t want anyone to know what happened!

Patricia, the town slut, hits on Santos. She forces him to kiss her. He breaks the kiss telling her he doesn’t want to date anyone right now. She throws a fit and tells him to stop thinking about that girl. Santos thinks to himself “if only it was that easy.”

Thelma, Singing Aunt and Orlando talk about were Emilio could be. Emilio enters the room as they stand to celebrate his return. Emilio ignores Thelma’s false concern. In retaliation Thelma snaps that while Emilio has been out hunting that girl his brother has been here dying! Emilio is impactado.

The good doctor tells Emilio he is going into town to get more medicine. (Doesn’t he have the right stuff for Angel yet!) He tells Emilio that Angel is better but he has to be more careful about temperature changes from now on. Emilio talks to the sleeping Angel after the doctor leaves. He calls Angel stubborn for staying out in the cold. Angel, in turn, calls out Alina’s name.

Marianna goes to visit Hugo. Alfonsia stays in the background pretending to clean as she listens to their conversation. Marianna explains to Hugo that she wants to invite her family to her wedding. She wants them all to be there, plus she misses Soledad and Alina. Hugo tries to stall but ends up agreeing to take her to Sierra Escondida tomorrow. Alfonsia has a flash back about what she did with the letter. The idea of her past misdeeds coming to light fills her with dread. The Patron will kill her if her finds out! She runs to Hugo after Marinanna leaves pleading that they cant let Marinanna go to Sierra Escondida. Hugo decides to send a telegram advising Loco of the situation first.

The priest asks Alina and Soledad what are they doing at his church?

Emilio confronts Orlando. He wants to know why Orlando didn’t return for him.

The priest offers Alina and Soledad his church as a refuge. He believes in their innocence and understand their need to hide from Loco.

Orlando pretends that he never heard Emilio’s gun shots for help. Emilio doesn’t know what to think and questions Orlando again. Orlando, insulted, claims he is telling the truth. Emilio tells Orlando he doesn’t know what to think, so he tells Orlando he needs to be alone. Orlando thinks to himself that Emilio is lucky. He should have died!

Gaspar whines to Luba how he wanted to have a child. Luba pets his hair telling him that is for the better this way. Gaspar denies this saying “It isn’t better that my munequita lost my child.” Wha!

The Singing Aunt fills Thelma in on how she tricked Gaspar with the story of her loosing the pregnancy. Thelma is happy to hear the news but quickly changes the subject to how uncomfortable she is wearing the girdle. Its too tight! The aunt tells her that she doesn’t even look pregnant. She should just wear the girdle when she is out and take it off at home so she can be more comfortable. They switch the conversation back to Gaspar as Thelma grimaces in discomfort. Thelma has to convince Emilio to leave so they dont have to see Gaspar ever again.

The priest shows Alina and Soledad a small room for them to stay in. He tells them that he realizes this is not a lot but he is doing what he can. He is looking for someone to help them get out of town. Unfortunately everyone is afraid of Alvaro.

Emilio looks at the heart necklace he gave Alina long ago. He is in his nighties ready for bed when Thelma comes in. She pretends to be interested in what he was doing on his search for Alina. He distrusts her. She changes the subject and starts her campaign of lets move to Puebla. She tells him that he “could leave his work to Orlando and there are better doctors for Angel.” Emilio thinks Dr. Vasquez is good enough but he will think it over. She leaves Emilio alone and his thoughts start to drift to Alina. He thinks to himself how everyone needs him, Alina, his child, Angel, Thelma, blah blah blah, but all he can do is think about Alina. Everything would have been different had they married. Woes me.

Gaspar whines to Nora that his munequita lost his child. Nora tells him not to worry. They can have lots of kids together. She grabs his hand and leads him away. He giggles as he follows her.

Alina and Soledad talk over who could help them. Elias is mentioned but Soledad thinks he will still be in mourning for Blanca. Alina wonders if her father had something to do with Blanca’s death.

Loco goes into Soledad’s dark empty bedroom. He sees her with Jose in his mind. He gets upset and points his handgun at the lovers. Then he realizes it is just an empty bed. He wonders to himself if he is going crazy. He shouts “Soledad why cant I stop loving you! I’m going to find you because you are mine. You belong to me!”

Thelma and Orlando discuss plans. Orlando likes Thelma’s idea of getting Emilio to leave. He could be in charge of the work project and then he could win over Alina! Orlando believes he can save Alina from Loco. Thelma laughs at him as they chat together and then she calls him an idiot after he leaves. She picks up his half empty glass of whiskey and downs what is left.

Emilio has a dream about marrying Alina. He dreams they are in the clouds all dressed in white. He kisses her with a large open mouth. Their tongues touch. They are two large open mouth bass. He wakes from his dream and sits up in bed to call out Alina!

Alina, in her bed at the church, dreams of Emilio.

Orlando goes to the Meson to chat with Coral. They sit at a table to talk. Orlando wants to know if she knows anything about Alina. Coral wants to know about Emilio. Neither has the information the other wants. Coral eyes Orlando suspiciously.

Marianna tells her cousin by phone that she is ready to tell Loco she has a child with Jose the crew chief.

Soledad and Alina pray to the Virgencita for help.

The priest scours the countryside looking for someone to help the women. Everyone he asks declines.

Thelma complains to the Singing Aunt some more about her tight girdle and her pregnancy as they walk outside. She is a natural earth mother that one. Thelma tells her aunt how she is going to convince Emilio to leave for Puebla. The aunt inquires how Angel is doing to which Thelma quips that Angel is better but he "has more lives than a cat." She goes on the say that "He would be better off dead." Gaspar pops out of one of the rows of plants spooking the women.

Emilio talks with Angel, who is pasty white from his near brush with death. Angel wants Emilio to continue looking for Alina. Emilio intends to do just that.

The Singing Aunt tells Gaspar to just "look at Thelma. She doesn’t even have a tummy. She is not pregnant! Just look at her!" Gaspar thinks they might be deceiving him. Thelma denies this and questions Gaspar why he is looking for her. Does he want to hurt her? Gaspar tells her he doesnt want to hurt her but he is sad. He slowly disappears into the bushes saying over and over that he is sad. Thelma calls him an idiot.

Some new guy tells Alvaro that Ruitilio is dead. Alvaro doesn’t much care. He tells the new man to rule over the workers with a hard hand. Adela comes in as the new guy is leaving. She is bearing a telegram for Loco. She asks him if it is bad news? He reads it out loud. Adela gets excited to hear that Marinna plans to come to Sierra Escondida. Adela excuses herself to prepare Mariannas room. Loco tells himself that Marianna can't come, he doesn't want her to find out about anything ….

Rosita is in a field talking to a worker asking if anyone has heard of Alina. No one has. Max rides up and heckles Rosita. “Rosita! How great that you didnt go to town! Hey Hey Hey!” Rosita screams that he is the most despicable of men!

Thelma gets some more help in fixing her girdle before she gets in bed to fake being ill for a visitor. The visitor is Luba. Luba enters the room staring at the two women. She wants to know if it is true that Thelma lost the child. Thelma pretends that she has been very sick, suffering and has lost the child. Luba appears to be buying the news. She admits that Gaspar is not right in the head. She will make sure Gaspar does not bother Thelma anymore. Thelma is encouraged to hear Lubas words. She takes the opportunity to ask for more help. She wants Luba to make sure that Gaspar doesn’t say anything to Emilio; so Emilio doesn’t learn about Gaspars fantasies about the child. Thelma gives some coughs like Angel just to show how ill she is. Luba agrees to help keep things quiet. She leaves but not before she stares at Thelma and the Singing Aunt real hard.

Max is shocked that Rosita has yelled at him. He asks why she is talking to him like that. He sounds hurt and confused. Rosita is screaming some things about how Max will pay for what he did when she gets interrupted by the arrival of Ingenio. Ingenio has come to tell Max about a broken machine. They ride off to check it out.

Sergio grabs a bite to eat at Santos mothers snack shack. He shares a little gossip which leads to Santos asking how Rosita is doing. Sergio tells Santos that he will tell him what he knows for a few pesos.

Emilio rides over to Loco Montellanos place. He wants to know if Alina is there. The men share the same old words of stay out of my business, you will regret this, blah blah blah.

The priest tells Alina and Soledad that no one will come to their aide. The women brainstorm on who they can ask for help. Hmm I wonder? Soledad asks “Do you think Elias would help?” Alina asks “Do you think Emilio would help?”

Emilio rides over to Lubas cave asking if she knows how Alina is doing and where she is. Luba tells him she does not know. Emilio accuses her of lying which sets Luba off. She insists she never lies. She feels bad for snapping and decides to make nice. She stops Emilio from leaving saying she "hurts a lot for what has happened to his wife." Emilio stops mid track to ask “What happened?” Luba explains “She looks like she is suffering a lot.... For the child (criatura) she lost.” Emilio is impactado.

Mundo 3/14 -- A death, a Lead and a Warning

Miriam and Joz figure there are only a couple places MA coulda gone… Gabes apartment or Candy pad…

Meanwhile, Damian has discovered Tib in the mansion. He’s come back to grab his passport but Dam is having none of it. He demands that Tib obey him and return to the office. Tib refuses and they wrestle for the passport. Dam exclaims that he’s not going anywhere and rips the passport to shreds. Tib freaks out, the passport is his only way to get away! Dam says, “Was.” He again says Tib is going to obey him and return to the office and slaps him. Tib asks why he treats him this say, why he never loved him like he did JC. Dam replies it’s because he’s not a child from Regina, the woman he loves. Tib tries reason, Tib replies, “I’m not at fault, I didn’t choose to be born, I didn’t choose my mother. The saddest is that, besides everything, I didn’t stop trying to force you to care for me.” Dam answers that it’s too late and he’ll never get his affection, to him Tib means nothing. Tib replies with the most repeated line in novelas (besides “te odio,” of course): “te vas a repentir…” you are going to be sorry for your words. Tib goes on to foretell that one day he (Dam) “will discover with great gravity that he (Tib) was his only salvation.” Tib looks him up and down several times in disgust and leaves. Half heartedly, Dam yells for him.

At Gabe’s apartment the doorbell is going off. Gabe half asleep answers it… it’s Joz, freaking out. She’s come to beg him not to take away the baby and, she half asks/half accuses him of wanting MA, when she returns, to bring the baby up as hers. He kicks her out but not before she lets him know she’s taking the matter to the judge.

At Candy’s Leo cookin’ up a midnight snack when there’s a knock at the door… he opens it and it’s Miriam. She’s come back to fix her mistake of how she spoke to him the last time they met. Leo is shocked and offers her a seat at the table. She wants things to be the same as they were before he found out the truth. She says also that she doesn’t want some ill feeling between them and brings up how MA didn’t love him back, the way he wanted, but they have a friendship now, nonetheless. Maybe it could be the same between them. He asks to be closer with Joz. Mir says she’ll talk to her and she’s sure she won’t refuse him… then thanks him for listening and leaves. He’s a little impactado.

Everyone’s up tonight… even Silvestre wakes up… of course to find that Elsa is no where to be found. She’s just getting out of bed at Mastin’s bachelor pad. It looks just like Coyote’s old place.

Joz and Mir return to the mansion. Mir reports that she and Leo spoke for a good minute and he didn’t mention anything about MA coming back. They agree that they have to be on the lookout. Joz asks about her conversation with Leo… she says they will be cordial toward each other and that Joz has to fake being interested in getting to know him a little. She says it benefits them at this point in time to have Leo on their side.

Leo is deep in thought when Candy wakes and makes her way into the kitchen. He tells her Mir came for a visit. He wants to help Joz who has never had love and all that.

Mir thinks to herself she shouldn’t have gone to see Leo but she had to do it to find out about MA. She admits to herself she feels something for Leo but grumbles about her maternal instincts saying she has to control herself.

Meanwhile Elsa is sneaking back into her apartment and finds Silvestre MIA. She climbs into bed with her jacket and shoes on. He comes into the room and grabs her accusing her of using drugs. He goes ballistic and starts screaming that he’s had it and she should leave him. Elsa does the complete opposite of what I would have thought, I mean, she hates him, I figured she’d say ok and get up and leave but no, she grabs for him and says “no, no you’re my only hope…” (!!!)

Candy tells Doll that MA’s come back. They chat about Leo and then Doll tells her that Joz admitted to being the murderer of her brother, Edgar. Candy is shocked!

Joz tells Mir that she is meeting with Coyote to end “this” whole thing for once and for all… Mir advices that they need to get rid of any evidence that would lead back to them… they eye each other as only evil fieras can…

MA and Leo are at the police station to report her kidnapping, finally. She says she never saw her kidnappers face and can’t really tell them anything… then leaves. So much for that.

JC and Pau have reached what must be the address of her birth mother… JC says soon she will be face to face with her birth mother, “is she ready?” he asks. She smiles.

Meanwhile, Joz has driven Coyote to a remote park like setting. He hops out of her red convertible, walks a little ways from it and asks what they’re doing there. She says they have one last detail to finish, his life… and point a gun at him.

In Gabes apartment he’s noticed that Candy had tried to call him on his cell the night before… he calls her back. She tells him she has great news… MA’s back!

Coyote backs up and falls onto a pile of leaves crying “don’t kill me.” She looks sad and says fine, she’ll give him another opportunity. She hops in her convertible… he starts to run away over the pile of leaves and she points her gun evilly (and in slow motion) shoots him first in the butt(???), then, as he falls and turns around crying, she shoots him in the heart. She smiles evilly as he falls back into the pile and dies.

JC and Paul approach a woman who is coming out of the building her birth mom supposedly lives in. They ask for Teresa Bermudez (apparently the name of her birth mom)… she asks who they are and Pau says she’s her daughter. (To me that just seems too indiscreet… I mean, what if her birth mom didn’t want anyone to know, geesh.) The woman says that’s not possible, TB never had children… they tell her Pau was given up for adoption when she was newborn… the lady sighs and lets them in saying she has a lot to tell them about TB.

Candy and Doll take little LD to the park so MA and Gabe can be alone.

Meanwhile, Joz pushes Coyotes body over a small embankment.

Back at Candy’s, MA and Gabe are reunited… They gaze at each other lovingly as Gabe repeats “My MA, My MA!” They hug, reaffirm their love for each other and Gabe says they’re gonna forget all the horrible things that have happened. – You know, something just occurred to me… you know how the media loves to combine names of celebs, ie. Benifer, and TomKat… well I have the perfect name for this pair… Gama… OK, so Gama starts lip locking…. (yuk)

Pau and JC come out of the gate they just went in… apparently Pau’s birth grandparents were very strict with her birth mom and when they died her birth mom was left alone… Pau deduces that must be the reason she was given up for adoption… Then JC wonders why she (the birth mom) became a nun, hmmm now we know she’s a nun… Pau says maybe Doll knows someone who can help them… JC nods.

Gama has separated momentarily and Gabe is with Leo at the police station thanking him for accompanying MA to report her kidnapping. They chat for a minute and Gabe lets on that he’s having trouble with Joz… Wide eyed Leo informs him that Joz is his sister… Gabe is sorprendido… Gabe tells Leo that Joz confessed to Karen that she killed her first husband, Edgar. Leo looks sick.

At the mansion, Joz informs Mir that Coyote no longer exists. Mir asks is she sure she didn’t leave any fingerprints to give her away? Joz says of course not and holds up a gloved hand (Ay-yayay, LOL!) Mir is anxious to find out where MA has gone off to.

MA is praying… Thanking the Virgin for illuminating her heart regarding Gabe. She thanks her for her misericordia (compassion, mercy, pity) and is all smiles.

Leo is freaking out and can’t believe Joz is a murderer. Gabe says the authorities are on to her, and that he (Leo) doesn’t know her, she’s “capaz de cualquer cosa” capable of anything (another one of the top 10 most frequently used novela phrases). Leo says she needs him more now than ever and he won’t give up on her (oy vey).

JC, Pau and Doll are at the constructoria and she (Doll) lets them know MA has reappeared. JC says something about Gabe being really happy… Doll brings up the birth mother search and Pau says they’ve been able to find out that she became a nun. Doll happily offers to contact the mother superior. They ask about Tib but Doll won’t tell them anything and leaves to find out about Pau’s birth mother. (I want to call the birth mother BM but saying “Doll left to find out about Pau’s BM” just sounds really bad) JC leaves to see if he can help Doll.

Joz rushes in to see Mir and breathlessly tells her that MA has shown up in the “vecindad,” ie. Candy’s place. Mir is sure, now that MA is back, Gabe will be more secure in taking the baby… Joz says no way; she’s not going to stand for that. Mir is surprised that Leo didn’t mention anything about MA. Joz looks jealous and asks why every time Mir is around Leo she becomes “blandas,” which I think means soft. Mir says it’s not true. Mir says the only thing that’s important is that no one find out they had anything to do with MA’s kidnapping. Joz says the only one who can say anything is dead. (and what about Karen?) Mir stresses that one small detail, anything, and “nos puede huir para siempre,” “they” can make them flee for forever(?) Something like that…

Elsa is back to begging Silvestre for forgiveness… he’s finally giving up on her. He says every time he gives her another opportunity she does something worse, he’s had enough… she begs him, she doesn’t want Leo and Candy to send her away to treatment again… but he says she should have thought of them and leaves.

Doll visits Tib in his hideout apartment… she brought him pills for “the pain.” Someone bangs at the door. JC has followed her… he says he’s there to help…

Nic and Gabe discuss how brave MA was with the kidnapping. Nic says the authorities will soon find the place the kidnappers were keeping her. Nic says he’s happy to see Gama together… Gabe says it’s forever.

MA confronts Joz and says she’s sure she had something to do with her kidnapping and soon she will get her punishment… Joz lays into her: “You want to know the truth, I hate you,” Joz says, “I hate you with all of my being…” She goes on to say that she’ll torment her without ceasing and never leave her in peace for her entire stupid dog life… whoa!

After the commercial, Joz goes on to tell her she has many ways to attack her. MA says she’s not afraid… Joz says she would be if she were her… she’s not done with her yet… MA says she’ll respond “golpe con golpe”… punch with punch… (didn’t she say that same thing to Joz before?) Mir says she won (I believe she’s referring to Gabe, not sure) and to accept her (Joz’s) defeat… Joz just laughs and drinks her beverage… they move from the mansion office to the front area (great room maybe it’s called)… MA goes on and says not only did her mother love her unlike Joz’s mom but Gabe loves her more too. This seems to make Joz’s smug look diminish. Joz heads up the stairs as MA lets her know that she’s won and justice will get her… Joz just says “we’ll see” as she heads up the stairs.

JC tells Tib they have the same blood and he’s there to help. He says Tib should get a lawyer to advise him. Tib gets upset and tells them all to leave him in peace and attempts to kick them both out…

This is where my recording ends… I may have lost the last few minutes of the episode… bummer.
