La Fea Más Bella #299-300 6/25/07 La Fea Mas Bella puts out it's light after over a year, but the star will always burn bright in our hearts (and one in particular-TAN DIVINO!)

And, another tag team recap awaits you, from our wonderful, wonderful, blogging team, who through 4 time zones bonded in a chat room together through all the various airings of the show until the bitter end in the West. Realize this lasted over 7 hours, from 7pm EST to 2am EST, from when Julie started watching the rerun hour to when I finished watching Cristina out here in Pacific. Please know how devoted and what true fans of this program they are. All this to enjoy the finale, and to bring you the best recap ever!! We really hope you enjoy, and we will miss you all profoundly!!!!!

Alma starts us off:

Another board meeting is called. Fernando apologizes to his family and everyone else for nearly running the company into the ground. Then he presents the last of the loan payments to Aldo, who’s looking dapper in an off-white suit. Fern gives his thanks to everyone, especially Lety, who also looks very cool in a nice off white jacket. He walks to Lety and gives her a hug, but it’s cut short by Aldo’s curt objection of “hey, hey, hey.”

We go to Monterrey, to some sort of outdoor venue, maybe a futbol field.. Luigi is directing a commercial for family adoption. He instructs a young man, a woman, and a little girl on how to behave like a family.

It seems that Sarah is onsite to assist Luigi. She’s on a cell phone, and there is a cute little ragamuffin, about 10 years old, who is tugging at her shirt [ok, he’s not really a ragamuffin, but he should be, for dramatic effect, ya know?].

Luigi continues to instruct the little familia about their commercial. He tells them they can’t have children naturally, and the reason doesn’t matter. Then they are made aware of the “Family Solidarity” program which will help them begin a family. Luigi is excited about this public service announcement he is helping to bring to the Mexican masses.

The ragamuffin continues to distract Sarah as she tries to talk on the phone. They make faces at each other.

Back at the meeting, Don Humbo thanks Lety for all her hard work and wishes her the best of luck. Lety then thanks them too… thanks for the opportunity, yadda yadda yadda, this is the best company ever, yadda yadda. Lastly she thanks her pop for believing in her. Robopop in turn tells her how proud he is of her. He tells Humbo, “You see, I told you my kid wouldn’t screw you over!” [except he uses professional accountant lingo].

Humbo tells Lety that Concepts will always leave its doors open for her. Lety says that won’t be necessary, since going forward she will enjoy life living by the sea, at the side of the man she loves. Fern adds that’s assuming Aldo doesn’t make her flip burgers.

Luigi finishes his commercial shoot and yells “cut!” He’s sure everyone will want to form a family now. Omar tells Luigi what a great job he did, then turns to give Caro a big hug and a very sweet kiss.

Sarah and the ragamuffin kid around. They get along so well that he asks her is she would you like to adopt him.

The meeting continues. Mama Bozo says Fern has proven himself, and he is ready to take control of the company again. Fern says thanks but no thanks. He concedes that he almost took the company to ruins, so he thinks that it should go to someone who truly loves it and can do a better job. Ariel agrees and starts to thank Fern for realizing this! Fern says “Not so fast” and clarifies that he’s not referring to Ariel, but rather to Marcia. Marcia is impactada but happy. She agrees to take the helms but says she’ll need Fern’s help. Fern is suddenly disheartened. He says he can’t stay because being at Conceptos will always remind him of what he lost. A close-up of Lety tells us this is worrisome for her.

Luigi films the ragamuffin in a commercial. Ohhhh, now we can see that the boy is here to be in a commercial for the big Monterrey project [though I’m not sure why they had to shoot it in a futbol field]. Anyway, Irma and Sarah watch him. He's a natural in front of the camera. Irma asks Sarah if she’s sure. Sarah responds that she is sure that she wants to adopt him. She reasons that he’s a great kid; he’s a little punk, but he’s great. Irma gives Sarah her blessing and claims dibs on being the abuela (grandma).

Lety calls Marcia into her office. Lety says she has something for the new company prez. She gives Marcia her company ID [not sure how this will be of use to Marcia, since it has Lety’s name and picture on it]. Marcia thanks Lety profusely and sincerely. Marcia thanks Lety for the lessons she taught her, which are to appreciate everyone; to be a strong woman; to always look forward; to enjoy life; and the most important lesson, that the inside is what’s most important. She asks Lety to forgive her for all the vicious, relentless, torturous crap she put Lety through. But Lety says there is nothing to forgive, she’s just happy that a woman will be in charge of Conceptos. Nice bonding moment.

In the Vortex of Stupidity & Idiotic Inanity, Lola calls for Juana, who is in the ladies’ room, or otherwise out of camera range. Lola explains to Martha that she and Juana have a waxing appointment at a place Lety recommended. Martha suddenly looks sad. She’s worried about Fern, because he seemed so dejected. She decides that she doesn’t care if Lola calls her a gossip for it, but she needs to go see how Fern is doing.

Martha goes to see Don Fern, who is packing is office equipment and desk accessories [a.k.a. his toys]. She says it’s not fair, and that he should stay here with the people who love him. Fern says he can’t stay because he’ll die of sadness here. He asks her to call the airline and reserve a flight to Rio de Jainero. She asks him to think about it some more first. Fern thanks Martha for everything, even for the juicy gossip. She cries and they hug. She says she can’t stand to see him leave. Fern tries to compliment her on her weight loss, but it’s too late, as she’s already run away crying. A signature single tear rolls down Fern’s cheek.

Tomas vents to Lobo about his Chiquita Alicia. He regrets not consoling her ad letting her leave. Lobo asks if Tom knows where she is. Tom says he doesn’t. Lobo says maybe he knows.

Fern leaves the building. Outside on the lawn, Lety catches up to him. She can’t believe he was going to leave without saying goodbye. Fern says he couldn’t bear to say goodbye to her. Furthermore, he’s not sure he can contain himself from saying, or yelling… She stops him from finishing his sentence. He says that there is something he’s been wanting to do since that first big fight he had with Aldo. He yells “I WANT THE WHOLE WORLD TO KNOW THAT I LOVE LETICIA PADILLA SOLIS!” This seems to grant bring him great relief. He closes his eyes and sighs. Lety stares intently, though slightly confused about how to respond.

Aldo goes to look for Lety in her office. Seeing that she is not there, he walks into Fern’s open cubby hole office and finds his journal still on the desk. He grabs the journal, thinks for a moment, then walks out with it.

Outside, Fern says he realizes that he’s lost her forever. His only consolation is that he knows she’ll be happy. He wants her to promise him that she will be happy. She tells him to stop talking about it. He falls silent and begins to walk away. She grabs his hand and pulls him back. Fern sadly bids Lety farewell with “hasta nunca” (until never). Lety, in a slight panic, says “No, don’t say that.” They hug tenderly. He breaks from her and walks away in slow motion, leaving Lety staring after him.

Aldo walks up to Lety. She tries to apologize for what he just saw. Aldo shows her the book and asks her if she knows what it is. She says it’s Fern’s journal. Aldo says that it’s Fern’s journal, in which he declares over and over how much he loves Lety. Lety is taken aback to think that Aldo has been reading the journal. Aldo says he didn’t read it, because he knows word-for-word what’s written, as if he’d written it himself. He explains that he and Fern both love Lety with the same intensity. He asks her to read it, because it’s very important. She opens it and reads “I feel so bad because Lety, my Lety, has announced that she is officially Aldo’s girlfriend. I must resign myself to having lost her forever.”

Lety stops reading. With a tear running down her face, she says the she was very angry when Fern read her diary, so it’s not right that she do the same to him. Aldo calmly says that is not important right now; the only important thing now is what she feels after what she just read. He asks her what she plans to do now. She says she will return the journal and pretend she never read it. He clarifies that what he meant is, he wants to know how she feels. She admits that she feels terrible knowing that Fern is suffering. Reading his words is like hearing him weep, and that is painful for her.

Aldo says that in this world, what we need to do is cure suffering. He says he saw their embrace when they were saying goodbye, and that that embrace meant more than she knows. He says deep down she knows that as well. Lety says that yes, she knows that Fern loves her. Aldo points out that they’ve known that for quite some time. What he wants to know is how she feels. Lety hesitates, then asks if they can stop talking about this, for the sake of peace. Aldo says that if it’s peace they are looking for, then they must dig for the truth. Still cool as a cucumber, he asks her if she is worried about being honest because of her commitment to him. She admits she is. He tells not to be afraid of her feelings. She asks his forgiveness and confesses that she is deeply in love with Fern. For some reason, this makes Aldo smile. Lety says she wants to cancel the engagement. He says of course, but with one caveat, she must promise to be immensely happy with Fern.

Lety smiles as she turns away in the direction that Fern left. She thanks Aldo over and over. She turns back to him to thank him again, but Aldo is gone. Lety looks around and calls for him, but he’s disappeared. She is confused for a moment, but then calls for Don Fern instead. He’s long gone, but she calls out “Fernando, I want all of Conceptos to know that I love you!”

And now 5ft:
Tomás gets out of a taxi and asks "A panteón? Why did Paco send me to a panteón?" (a mausoleum) He salutes a bust of "Don Pedro". Alicia is at a gravesite decorated with the brightest flowers…orange, red, yellow, pink, purple, white…it's covered in flowers. She says: "Dad, there are men who don't fit in death--that is to say, death is too small for them--and you're one of them. Even though you're not physically here, you keep teaching me. I only just now realized I've spent 10 years, let's say, talking to you via cell phone. I love you, Dad. You'll always be my dad, my teacher. Thanks, Dad; thanks, Teach. You left and I was so alone. I couldn't accept that I no longer had anyone, that no one was taking care of me. But look, what things, right? Now, after so long, I had an experience that helped me accept your death and my sad reality. Dad, someone fell in love with me. Imagine it! And I didn't know how to appreciate it. But now Tomás showed me that he really loves me, because I did something really bad, yes, and he took the blame to protect me. I love him so much, dad, so much…" As Alicia has been talking, we see that the picture of her dad is that of Sergio Jimenez, the original director of LFMB (gracias, Sergio). Tomás has heard almost her entire speech and now interrupts: "Alicia…" Alicia: "Tomás!" T: "You see, I was right when I called you Chiquita, you're like a little unprotected girl. The most important thing in life to me is to be with you. I want you to give me the chance to take care of you, to protect you, to love you…" A: "Does this mean…?" T: "Shhh, Chiquita, it's all forgotten. Love means never having to say you're sorry." A: "Thank you, Tomy. I love you." Awwww, that's a really sweet kiss. And a beautiful scene. (Oh, ok, except for the "never having to say you're sorry" thing, that was a little cliché, but just go with it.)

At the Bachelor Pad, aka The Bachelor/ette Pad, aka Casa Compañia de Tres, and now Casa Marcia: Marcia invites Lety in. Lety apologizes, but she's looking for Fernando. She wants to talk to him because she needs to tell him…"Doña Marcia, I'm very much in love with him!" Marcia is surprised. "Aren't you going to marry Aldo anymore," she asks. Lety replies, "He understood me and he himself got me to make the decision because, because I, the truth is I never would have cancelled that wedding, Marcia, I didn't dare." Lety has the grace to look a little ashamed of herself here (and well she should! Bad girl! Now go make it right). Marcia: "You have no idea how much I would love to see Fernando happy. I think he paid tears of blood with all the pain we caused him." Lety: "Why do you say 'would love to'?" Marcia: "You took too long to realize you love Fernando. He left, Lety. See how ironic life is? So much suffering, you and I, we fought so much over him that in the end he's neither for you or for me." Lety: "Do you think that he would reject me?" Marcia (impatient): "Fernando left, Lety!" Lety: "Okay, he left, but where to?" Marcia picks up a note from the coffee table: "Look, when I got home to pack my suitcase to go to Monterrey I found this note." She hands the note to Lety. Lety cries as she hears Don Fernando reading his note to Marcia: "Marcia, I would have liked to leave my pain and my frustrations here, but I can't find a way to rip them from my soul. At best I'll come back one day when I can smile again. And that will happen only if I can manage to forget Leticia. Good luck, Marcia, be really happy and enjoy life for both of us. I love you. Your brother, Fernando." Lety lowers the note, looks at Marcia, and starts to speak, but Marcia takes her hands to stop her: "No, Lety, I have no idea where Fernando is, and I don't think anyone knows." She gently, sadly brushes Lety's face with the back of her hand. Awwww, nice how the girls are getting along now, no?

The Moras stroll along a tree-lined lane, arm in arm. Alicia is carrying a bouquet of long-stemmed red roses. Tomás is carrying her beaded clutch. Tomás marvels that if anyone had told him that one day he would be so, so happy by her side, he wouldn't have believed them. "Alicia Ferreira de Mora, I love you!" "Tomás Mora de Ferreira, me too." (But she says it all serious and sincere.) Tomás laughs with happiness. ("Is she good now?" my husband asks. "As in, she's not going to go around randomly embezzling money? Yeah, I think so," I reply.) "What happiness!" Tomás says. "And there's still more," Alicia says as she grins coquettishly. "What?" Tomás asks. "Well, there could be two little surprises…." "Two little surprises," Tomás muses, as though he's trying to guess what they might be. Alicia leans close and whispers in his ear, "You're going to be a daddy!" It takes Tomás a minute for that to sink in and then he lets loose a grito (a yell, specifically of the type one hears during mariachi songs; catch me when I've had too much to drink some time and I'll do one for you).

Tomás and Alicia return triumphantly to the maternal home. The noble and long-suffering Tomasa is preparing the dough for that day's bread. "Mother," calls Tomás, "come here!" "What has happened, my little dog ear?" asks Doña Tomasa as Tomás hugs her and swings her around. Tomás, in his joy, takes her hands and dances as he asks, "What is your greatest hope in life?" "No!" says Tomasa, "Don't tell me!" "Yes!" Tomás proclaims as he hoists her in his arms, "You will be a grandmother! I will be a father! And my Chiquita will be a mother!" He puts her down and Doña Tomasa, in the grand tradition of the Moras, goes to Alicia and grants her the blessing of anointing her cheeks with the sacred flour as was done of old. Alicia, not understanding the significance of this ancient rite, brushes the flour from her cheeks as Doña Tomasa embraces her son. The three join in a group hug as Alicia tells her mother-in-law that she is also happy to be bearing her a grandchild. To complete the ritual, Tomás and Alicia make a Tomasa sandwich as Tomás sings "Grandmother Tomasa."

Lety returns to Conceptos and the Bat Cave. "Don Fernando, tan divino," Lety says sadly. Awwwww, my last DFTD. *sob* "So many things we lived through here, in this little office. And now, we'll never see each other again. Never." She cries softly, and my heart leaps as the door opens. It's Marta, come to tell her maniguis she saw her arrive and she needs to speak with her. "Lety," she says, "if you knew what Don Fernando is suffering, we would cry together like Mary Magdalene, I swear. Lety, Don Fernando loves you, I swear he loves you." Lety: "Yes, Marta." Marta: "But you're in love with…" she can't say it. "No, I'm not marrying Aldo, Marta." Marta: "That's great news, Lety!" (! Times about 1,000) Lety: "Well, no, it's not good news because Don Fernando already left and no one knows where he's gone." Nu-uh! "He's at the airport! He asked me to get him some tickets to Rio de Janeiro!" See, that's why you should always make friends with administrative staff…they know everything! "Some tickets or one ticket," Lety asks. "One!" Marta exclaims. Lety: "What time does the plane leave?" Marta looks at her watch and panics because the plane is leaving, like, now, and Lety's gotta move it. Lety's busting a move and Marta tells her she's got to move it on out the door, not in the Bat Cave! Marta offers San Jorge a torta, presumable for Lety to make it to the airport on time. I hope he likes tortas, but then, who doesn't?

Julieta is packing her suitcase and telling Erasmo that it's so great that they're getting to go to Monterrey. Erasmo agrees, but unenthusiastically. Julieta asks what's up with him. He says, "Nothing. Well, you know, our girl's getting married and as much as I try to get used to the idea…" He is interrupted by the ringing phone and Julieta laughs at him, saying, "ay, my love." She answers the phone as dramatic music plays. "Lety? What's wrong? I don't understand. You're not going to marry Aldo?" Erasmo's mouth drops open (oh, we got a shot of his fillings…that wasn't well thought out!). "But what do you mean you're going to the airport, hija?"

We see Fernando at the airport, holding his ticket. We hear that Flight 540 to Rio is boarding now at Gate 38. Fernando moves slowly toward his gate.

Lety arrives at the airport with both her parents following anxiously. Erasmo says Lety hasn't told him anything concrete and asks why she cancelled the wedding with Aldo. Julieta tells him not to bother Lety. "It's simple dad," Lety says, "I cancelled it because I'm in love with Don Fernando Mendiola." Erasmo: "What? What game is this? What's this 'I'm getting married/I'm not getting married/Aldo/Fernando'? What's going on?" Dude, haven't you been paying attention? The counter agent arrives and Lety asks if the flight for Rio has left yet. In the great tradition of dramatic airport scenes, the desperation with which one is looking for information is directly proportional to the slowness with which the person one is asking for information finds said information. "Rio de Janeiro?" Erasmo asks, but is silenced by Julieta and Lety. The agent says the flight is taking off as they speak. "He's gone," Lety says, "Fernando has left."

Back at Conceptos, Marta is pacing nervously and making Celso anxious. Looks like the two of them are the only ones who haven't left for Monterrey. Celso asks if she thinks Lety caught Don Fernando and Marta replies that if she hasn't, she isn't going to because the plane left 10 minutes ago. She declares that she can't take it anymore and reaches for the phone. See, this is how we know Marta's changed for good, she didn't reach for a snack instead. Celso wonders who she's calling. She tells "Maniguito" it's better to prevent than lament and she knows someone who can help, but he should pray it works.

Fernando is squished into a coach seat next to some woman looking at him pityingly. "Goodbye, Mexico. Goodbye forever," Fernando says. The captain comes over the comm: "Good afternoon, this is Captain Ortiz speaking from the cabin. We have reached our cruising altitude of 33,000 feet. We're flying southwest toward Chiapas and from there to…" he's interrupted by interference. "Did the pilot's microphone break," Fernando wonders aloud to the woman next to him. The captain comes back on: "Excuse me, I have a message for Mr. Fernando Mendiola, I repeat, Fernando Mendiola." Fernando, surprised, looks at the woman next to him and says, "It's for me!" "Is your name Fernando?" asks the woman. "Yes, nice to meet you…it's for me! What could it be?" says Fernando. Captain: "This message is sent by Mrs. Marta Hurtado de Muñoz, from the Cuartel de las Feas." This gets a laugh from the passengers. The captain continues: "She tells us that Leticia Padilla Solis is not going to marry Aldo Domensain." "What!" Fernando screams. Captain: "Leticia Padilla Solis loves you, Don Fernando. I repeat, she loves you." The woman sitting next to Fernando, standing in for much of the viewing audience, practically smothers him with her congratulatory hug. "Thanks," he says, "but I've gotta get off this plane!" They're sitting in an emergency exit row and he reaches for the handle, freaking out his fellow passengers. (I'm so glad stuff like this never happens to me on flights! But I digress.) He tries running for the back of the plane, but is blocked by several passengers. "Okay, okay, I won't try to get off, but don't touch me, you're making me nervous…I'm getting off this plane!" The woman who was sitting next to him gets him to sit down and asks him to calm down. He says he's calm, but he has one question of a technical nature…"How do you get the door open?" This sets the other passengers to screaming again as he says he's got to get off the plane. The flight attendant tells him to control himself, he can't open the door. "Miss, are you deaf? Didn't you hear the pilot? I have to get off the plane and go back to Mexico and tell Lety I love her too! Because she's not marrying Aldo, caray!" The flight attendant and the smotherer try to calm Fernando down again.

Erasmo tells Julieta he doesn't like to see her like this. Julieta says that it's not possible that their daughter has suffered so much for nothing. She's not marrying Aldo and now Don Fernando is on his way to Brazil. "Can you imagine what she's suffering, Erasmo?" "I understand, Julieta, but we have to think that sooner or later, Lety will find true love." J: "Lety's true love is Fernando, he always was, and now she's lost him forever."

Lety is at the hotel where she and Fernando first made love. She sits on the bed and calls herself stupid for letting him go. "Don Fernando left. Why did he leave? He was here with me." She puts her hand on the comforter and as Ricardo Montaner's "Besame" plays, she remembers that night with Don Fernando. Hot! We see another hand approach hers on the bed. Lety looks up, surprised, as Don Fernando says "Are you thinking I'm just a memory, Lety?" "Yes, just a memory," she says as she touches his face. He takes her hand and kisses it. "And this kiss too?" "Then, Don Fernando, love isn't a dream? You're here with me?" "I don't know why I felt you'd be here, where you and I first made love." They spring apart and then realize they're being silly. "Yes, I remember," Lety says, "It was my birthday that day. And today's your birthday, Don Fernando." "It is, isn't it? Lety, I want to be with you for the rest of my days and the rest of my life and…of course, if you want me." "Yes, Don Fernando, I accept!" Fernando and Lety kiss, not like the hot kiss with Aurora, but sweetly. They look into each others' eyes, smiling, crying, and kiss again. Night has fallen over el DF.

Adios, Fea fans. It's been a pleasure, and I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have!

And JULIE!!!

Julieta and Erasmo sit quietly at the table, waiting for news. Julieta gives one hand to Erasmo and wipes the tears from her face with the other. Lety comes home, with Fernando scrunched down behind her. Julieta asks for a report. "What happened?"

"Hardly anything," Lety replies in her Lety-voice. Fernando jumps up from behind Lety like the world's hottest Jack-in-the-box. Julieta is still gaping as he falls into her arms! Catching sight of Erasmo's disapproving face, Fern backs off quickly. Lety tries to break the news, but Fernando interrupts. I guess he wants to do it by the book! "Doña Julieta!" (in a quieter voice:) "Don Erasmo... if you will permit me, and even if you won't, eh? I'm going to marry your daughter!" He gives Lety a big squeeze. Julieta looks delighted, as expected. Erasmo looks pissed, as usual! He steps forward and moves Lety aside (a bit roughly) to confront Fernando.

Fernando picks up some random knickknack in self defense. "Leave my things in their places," Erasmo says. "Do you want to repeat what you just said?"

"Don Fernando!" mother and daughter cry in alarm.

"That I am going to marry your daughter," Fernando says.

Erasmo turns to Lety with his arms crossed. "Is that what you want?" "With all my heart, Papa." Fernando whimpers nervously as Erasmo turns back to him, his arms still crossed. "OK, Don Fernando. You can marry my daughter!" He sends what looks like it'll be a roundhouse punch towards Fernando, but it's actually just an open hand for shaking. Fernando shakes the hand quickly and then picks Erasmo up and whirls him around! "This is such a happy moment!" Julieta adds, needlessly.

"I promise, I promise Don Erasmo, that I am going to make your daughter very happy. I promise!" Fernando still has his arms around Erasmo and is kissing his shoulder. Erasmo is still stunned and can only grudgingly acknowledge Fern.

Julieta reminds them of the airplane. Didn't Fern take it? Erasmo wiggles loose of Fernando's grasp and repeats the question. Preparing them for a long story, Fern asks them to sit down.

They all take seats at the table. Fern sits in Lety's usual seat, and Lety tries to sit there too, out of habit. They spring apart with the last booooooing sound effect of the series. Fern jumps out of the chair and beings to explain what happened.

"The plane took off, Don Erasmo." Fernando is pantomiming some of the action. Lety, seated in front of him, can't see him but somehow goes through the same motions. "And when it did, I thought we were already over Chiapas."

Fern and Erasmo get sidetracked by some nonsense that I don't get. Julieta brings Fern back to the story. "So anyway, Martha made a call to the pilot." ("Can I talk to the pilot?" Lety asks her telephone-hand, mimicking Martha's voice.) "Then suddenly we hear the pilot's voice."

We flash back to Fernando on the plane. There's the pilot, saying "We've been told that Leticia Padilla Solis is not going to marry Aldo DomensaEEN." Fern gapes. "¿¿QUE??"

"And as you would guess, I went a little crazy," Fern tells his future in-laws. Back to the flashback: Fernando is grabbing at the emergency exit. Everyone is screaming and trying to pull him away from it. He tries to explain that they don't need to alter their course. He'll put on a parachute, open the door, he'll go and they can continue on to Rio.

The pilot comes out to see what is going on. (Does anyone recognize this guy? That is, is this a notable cameo of some sort?) Fern tells him that Leticia Padilla Solis is the love of his life, He thought she was going to marry that jer-, uh, that fry coo-, er, Aldo DomensaEEn, I thought she was going to marry him, but no!"

Everyone on the plane is listening raptly. The pilot takes off his big sunglasses and says, "But Leticia decided not to marry Aldo because..."

Fernando asks the woman next to him to help him out of his seatbelt. (It's okay, she's a flight attendant, she's specially qualified to do this!) He gets into the aisle to make his dramatic plea. "You know why she's not getting married to Aldo? Because she loves ME, in fact we love each other. We love each other like idiots, like maniacs. We love each other like no one else in the world."

"So, if you can't land on the ocean for Lety, you're ready to jump out of the plane, right?" He sits in Fernando's abandoned seat and seems to be performing some type of negotiation technique. "Wow, you're intuitive," Fernando replies sarcastically. "Are you a relative of Omar Carvajal?"

"I don't know if this was explained to you, Mr. Mendiola, but we're 33,000 feet high. We can't open the door now."

"I beg of you, please, ask me, what do you want me to do, I'll slash my wrists, I'll do whatever you say." One of the many smitten female passengers has a better suggestion: they can turn the plane around and go back to the DF! Everyone agrees and cheers their support!

Coming out of the flashback, Fern mentions that during this chat, no one was flying the plane, and they almost got killed. That wasn't so funny. They told the pilot and he ran back to the cabin and righted the plane. (Lety makes a helpful sound effect and accompanying gesture.)

"Incredible! And so romantic!" Julieta sighs. "Love can do everything." Fernando shuffles over to Lety's parents and the three of them grin cutely at Lety. "Your daughter is so pretty, huh?" He shuffles back to Lety and hugs and kisses her in front of her parents. (Already they have shown more affection than Lety & Aldo ever did.)

Meanwhile, Alicia is happily sprinkling lime juice over a big mound of fried food with one hand and stuffing her face with the other. (Don't worry, she's being very ladylike as always.) Tomas hurries to her with another plate and she thanks him profusely. He hugs her and she doesn't call him a pervert, or anything. They begin to watch the early news and Alicia suddenly cries out in pain, clutching her stomach. Tomy panics and offers to call a doctor.

Alicia explains that the baby wants churros! If he doesn't go get her some churros, little Pancracito or Alicita will be born with a churro-face! Tomy whines that his kids will be even uglier than himself, Alicia takes his hand and tells him he's not ugly. "No, not ugly. Horrible!" Tomy jokes. They laugh and snort together. Tomy agrees to go for the churros. She tells him he's the most marvelous man on the face of the earth. She tries to kiss him, and he backs away, saying he'll go get the churros, and later they'll have time for that other stuff.

After Tomy leaves, Alicia says "I can't live without him. My Tomy, he makes me so happy."

The senior Mendiolas are now at the Padilla home. (It might be one of the signs of the Apocalypse.) Bozo says they're very confused. Humberto says they thought Lety was going to marry Aldo. Bozo asks, so how is it that you called us and said that you're going to marry her? Lety and Fern exchange mischievous glances. Fern says it's a long story, but the important thing is that they're going to get married.

This seems to satisfy Bozo, who strikes me as someone who doesn't do well with long stories. She wants to organize a huge wedding. Humberto says they're going to need time to send invites to all their friends. Bozo figures about 400 of them. It'll have to be a place that's worthy of the Mendiolas. (The Padillas looks somewhat left in the dust by this conversation.) Humberto says he's going to have to order champagne and French wines, And how about lobster?

"One moment, please!" Erasmo interrupts. "As far as I know, it's the father of the bride who has to pay for the celebration. Isn't that so?" Humberto protests about his 400 friends. Erasmo says he can't pay for a party with 400 guests, much less all this champagne, etc. Julieta sits him down. Bozo says they just want to make the day special for the kids. But Julieta agrees with Erasmo that she doesn't want a big wingding. They don't need to invite 400 people and serve caviar

Fern says he's thinking of something. He has an idea, which he whispers into Lety's ear. She giggles her approval. "Everyone in the world is in Monterrey, right? And they lent the cathedral to YOU, right? Not to either one of your boyfriends? And they don't care who you show up with?" ("Why not?" Lety asks, frowning. Fern indicates that he's glad she's showing up with him.) Anyway, it'd decided that they'll marry in Monterrey. (I don't even know why they needed to discuss this, I thought it was a given.)

Lety's parents agree. Fernando's parents agree. As Julieta hugs Fern's parents, Lety and Fernando prepare to kiss. Erasmo sticks his face between them to congratulate his daughter. They kiss him instead. Fernando asks Erasmo to tell them a story about his uncle Lazaro.

Now we're at the wedding. Celso is wearing a fancy outfit and performing head usher duties.

Psychic Guy Jorge Flores is there, telling some kids (presumably orphans) that happiness exists and God made them to be happy.

Octavio the Tricky Guapo is asking Marcia if Lety is going to marry Aldo DomensaEEn, the famous chef. Marcia coyly says no, she's not marrying him.

Tomy is telling Alicia how pretty she is. (She's wearing maybe the lowest-cut thing I've ever seen her in, but it doesn't look so bad without the crazy corset.) She reminds him that beauty is on the inside, and that's why she loves him. They laugh and kiss, then share a synchronized snort.

Omar is remarking to Carolina what a pretty wedding it is; Caro says theirs will be even prettier because it will be in a forest.

The cuartel are all in pink. Lopez is telling Sara that he remembers his wedding, a long time ago. "Very long time," Sara mutters. "Do you remember, my love?" Paco asks Martha. PM, who looks great with normal-looking hair, says something about finally getting to have those "tortolitos" (finger sandwiches?). Irmita crosses herself and says how much she would have liked it if Fernando could have married their Lety. Martha tells them to have faith - maybe a miracle can happen. Lola says "No more surprises! It never ends, it never ends!" (I read that the actress who played Juana was in the hospital when they shot this, having some kind of procedure done. I couldn't understand what the article was saying. If anyone knows, please comment!)

A Rolls convertible comes around the corner, to much applause. Inside are Lety and her mother. (I thought I saw Moty too, but it was just a bouquet.) Everyone cheers for Lety as Erasmo helps her out of the car. Luigi comes up and congratulates her on her beauty and perfection. He asks about her contact lenses, for which we were probably spared a product placement ad. She says they feel great and she can see perfectly. With a deep bow, Erasmo thanks Luigi for designing Lety's beautiful dress, hair, makeup, etc. Luigi whips the crowd up in noisy applause for Lety.

People start wondering where the groom is. Just then, Fern speeds up in his car. He says he got lost because he doesn't know his way around Monterrey. He jokes that Aldo got sick, so Fern is going to take his place. (I take it it's not considered bad luck in Mexico for the groom to see the bride in her dress before the wedding.) Everyone seems to approve of their being together. Fern calls for Martha and asks her for a hug. More applause.

Fernando explains to Martha that if it hadn't been for her call and a crazy passenger named Nuria Vasquez (I guess she's the woman who suggested that the pilot turn the plane around), he would not have gotten there. "Fernando, you know that your happiness is my happiness!" Martha tells him.

Marcia comes up to congratulate the happy couple and wish them well. She tells them that their wedding gives her so much joy; she loves both of them so much. Fern and Lety thank and kiss her. Marcia leads the crowd in another cheer for the couple.

"Lety, let's get married, no?"
"Let's get married."

Tomasita, who's been pointing her camera everywhere all morning, sits on the ground in front of them for a shot.

The church bell tolls, and that's the end of my segment.

But wait, there's more...

And AMANDA:

Dramatic music plays while Aldo rises out of the sea like the Greek god that he is He emerges, his sexy white legs streaming out of his daisy dukes. In his arms Aldo clutches a small boy against his naked chest. How could Lety ever have let this guy go? Aldo gently sets the boy on the beach and prepares to do CPR.

The scene flashes back to earlier in the day. The boy yells out for his father. He heads toward the ocean and tells asks his father why he left. The boy says that he is going to look for his father in the ocean. The boy goes into the ocean and a wave swallows his small body. Hopefully, they used a stunt boy.

Lety’s ex begins to give the boy CPR. Despite Aldo’s best efforts, the boy does not revive. Aldo looks helplessly to the sky. His eyes plead for help from above.

The camera flashes to a shot of the Monterrey Cathedral. The future newlyweds cross themselves in preparation for the wedding mass. They kneel at the altar and the ceremony begins. Fernando, who I believe suffers from ADD, looks away from the priest and toward a painting to the left of the altar. He nudges Lety and gets her to look at the painting. In the most perfect novela twist ever, it’s a portrait of Aldo.*** The painting is a beautiful rendition of Aldo in robes smiling down at the couple. It makes sense. The word angel begins with an A and Aldo’s name begins with a name. It’s like destiny! I totally love it! This must be why Aldo and Fernando survived the motorcycle jump. The angel’s hand brought they safely down on fluffly clouds! Lety and Fernando look at the painting, impactados.

We return to the beach. Aldo has given up on CPR. He shakes the small boy, desperate for him to wake. This appears to work; the boy coughs. The boy asks for his father. Aldo the angel, frightened that the boy might turn and get a glance up the shorts, rescues the boy again by scooping him up into Aldo’s arms. He softly places the boy on the rocks. Aldo asks the boy if he has anyone. The boy again asks his angel about the boy’s parents. Aldo replies by asking the boy what happened to them. The boy responds that they went into the ocean and did not return. Aldo asks if the boy has anyone. The young one says that he’s having trouble breathing. Aldo pulls the boy to his chest, willing his own breath into the boy. Aldo wisely whispers to the boy that that the ocean will always be his friend.

The boy, inspired by Aldo’s words, plays in the surf with our angel. Dramatic music plays while Aldo swings the boy around. The pair share a few moments of pure joy. Aldo has found his new charge. Lety smiles and says that it’s Aldo; he’s an angel. Fernando spitefully says that in a way he’s like a pigeon. They both look at the photo and smile. Aldo happily peers down at them and silently gives his blessing.

The priest asks if there is anyone who wants to object to the wedding. Fernando and Lety nervously stand and look at everyone in the cathedral. No one objects, so they kneel back at the altar. The priest continues the ceremony. Fernando whispers to Lety that no one is opposing they’re wedding. Lety replies that nobody can oppose their happiness. The instrumental version of Besame plays while the ceremony continues.

The ceremony is over and we finally get to see that kiss we’ve so desperately waited for so many months. Ricardo Montaner’s version of Besame begins to play. Everyone applauds. Oh wait, Mr. Montaner is there, serenading the newlyweds. They proceed down the aisle, followed by the family. Everyone exits the church. The newlywed couple emerges and is showered with white rose pedals. Ricardo continues to sing to an empty church.

Lety and Fernando pause outside of the church and turn to each other. F (using the usted form) – “Lety I promise that I’m going to love you for all my life.” L (usted) – Don Fernando, I promise to make you happy for my entire life. I love you, Don Fernando.” F – “Don Fernando?” L (switching to tu) – “I love you, Fernando.” F (using tu) – “I love you, Lety.” They kiss again and everyone cheers. They kiss for a really, really long time.Besame continues and the parade starts. The entire cast drives around the streets of Monterrey in convertibles. What a nice gift for all the fans! Next, they play the “Club de las Feas” and continue with the parade footage.

The song finishes while the camera pans to the massive stage for the concert. An announcer greets all the friends to the grand finale of La Fea Mas Bella. The cast does a curtain call type greeting to the crowd. Jaime and Angelica, still in their wedding attire, perform “Tu Belleza es un Misterio” together. Next, Camila performs “Todo Cambio”At the concert, Alicia and Tomas sneak up on Luigi. Tomas asks for Fernando. Luigi wants to know why they want Fernando. Alicia says that she and Tomas bought him an expensive gift. Luigi asks what the gift is. Alicia says that it’s a hug. Tomas adds they got a key ring from Monterrey for the keys to their new house. I guess Teresita and Humberto took care of their son after all. Luigi sarcastically comments that the gift must have cost a lot. Tomas doesn’t care and again asks for Lety and Fernando. Luigi says that he doesn’t know. Someone was waiting for them and they…

Are totally getting it on! Lety removes the veil in one swoop. They dance around the room for a while and smile at each other like teenagers in love. They kiss and Fernando goes straight for the zipper. Within seconds, there’s nakedness and kisses. Camila continues to sing.

Here’s a list of the artists in order:

Jaime Camil & Angelica Vale – “Tu Belleza es un Misterio”
Camila – “Todo Cambio”
Kalimba – “Dejate Amar”
Jerry Rivera – “Mi Libertad”
Jose Feliciano and Jose-Jose – “Por Ella”
Reik – “Me Duele Amarte”
Jaime Camil & Angelica Vale – “La Fea Mas Bella”

During the Kalimba song, Omar and Caro approach Luigi. Omar asks for Fernando. Why do they all think Luigi would know where he is? Luigi once again says that he hasn’t seen Fernando and he wants to know why Omar wants Fernando. Omar says that he wants to give Fernando some tips. *wink, wink* Luigi replies that he doesn’t think Fernando needs them. Caro asks if they think that Lety and Fernando are… No one gets it so she just says that she thinks they need to be left alone. Luigi agrees because he thinks they’re already… Omar does one last snort to imply that they’re making love. Luigi thinks so; they’ve had crazy hormones for a while now. Everyone starts to leave, but Luigi asks them not to leave him alone. They leave anyway. Luigi mumbles to himself about men.

During the Reik song, we get to see some more Fernando & Lety lovin. Something about the part where he grips her face and you can see his wedding band gets me. It gets me right here. [Striking my chest] **sniffle, sniffle** Fernando got his girl. **sniffle, sniffle** In the last scene we see the lovers, Fernando laying on top of Lety while she kisses his neck. He smiles.

***Disclaimer: This is purely a rant of my own, please feel to agree with me: Seriously, the thing with Aldo as an angel sucked! That is the worst novela cop out ever! Remember the thing in Herdidas where the bad woman turned into a dove? That looks like pure genius compared to this!!! Who though of this crap? Angel’s do not wear Daisy Dukes, have Farrah Fawcett hair, improperly give CPR (duh, check for breath sounds first), and try to steal women from their true loves!! I hated it! The worst thing is, that poor boy is going to have to listen to months of months of Aldo’s voodoo new age wannabe crap! Ugghhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can we kiss Aldo’s ass a little more please? In 5ft’s words “That’s a four cheese blend right there!”

Well, this is good-bye. We love you all and have enjoyed re-capping for you! Now I must leave and cram my too white legs into some Daisy Dukes and exercise my first amendment right to free speech by protesting in front of Televisa studios.

Acorralada #114 Monday 6/25/07 Gaby and Kike's wedding day

Opening scene: Lala visits Caramelo at the fabrica to ask her to visit pobre de Pancho in jail. Caramelo doesn't know if she can bring herself to do it after all of the pain he's caused her, and considering that he's the one who kidnapped Max.

At the mansion, Diana tells Miguelina about her plans to get a job at the manicomio where Max has been admitted so that she can take care of the man she loves. Miguelina lets her know that Fedora's not going to permit this, but Diana is adamant that she's going to do it anyway because Max needs her.

At TeleMiami hospital, Dr. Evil and Diego have arrived to give Max his latest injection. Diego stands in the hallway whil Ignacio enters Max's room.

The following day, Max's doctor tells Yolanda, Larry, and Marfil that it appears that Max has gone completely mad, and he will recommend an asylum for him.

Back to the mansion, where Gaby doesn't want to get out of bed... today's the day she'll marry Kike, and Fedroa surprises her with a wedding dress. In the living room, Diana learns from Yolanda that Max is going to be institutionalized. Fedora enters the room all abuzz with plans for the wedding, and Diana informs her that she's quitting her job at the fabrica. Fedora is impactada.

Max is twitching and talking crazy - he doesn't recognize anyone, and thinks they're all trying to kill him.

Diana tells Fedora about what's happened to Max. Fedroa, who's nearly as evil as Octavia these days, is happy to hear that one of Octavia's children has fallen on hard times again. Diana lets her know that she intends to get a job as a nurse so that she can take care of him. Cue the synthesizers of doom!

Back to the hospital, where Larry and Yolanda are clueless as usual. Nancy calls Larry to let him know that at 2:00 Gaby will marry Kike.

Fedora and Diana continue to fight over Diana's love for Max. It's the same argument as usual. Fedora tells Diana to get out of her sight, then proceeds to gulp down a tumbler of whiskey.

Octavia has arrived at the hospital to see Max and learns from Marfil that he's going to be institutionalized. At least she's covered her breasts for a change - today's gold dress is downright wholesome compared to the skimpy outfits she usually wears.

Ignacio, Diego, and Camila are at Ignacio's place toasting their latest victory when Ignacio receives a call from a worker at the hospital saying that Max is going to be institutionalized.

The wedding is about to begin at the mansion - the judge has arrived and Fedora sends Silvia to tell Gaby that he's there. Gaby is crying to Diana about how she doesn't want to marry Kike. Diana tells her that there's nothing she can do... then Silvia enters the room to tell her the time has come, and her loving sister Diana tells her that it's too late for regrets.

Max has been transferred to the asylum. Marfil, Yolanda, and Octavia have accompanied him. The doc can't guarantee that he'll get better...

The wedding begins. Gaby and Kike sit down together to sign the documents and Gaby looks like she's going to lose her lunch. Kike, of course, doesn't notice. He's happy as ever.

Max is shown to his room. Apparently his insanity has impacted his motor skills because he's barely able to walk and is unable to focus his eyes. Yolanda's nerves are fried and she runs from the room in tears.

Back to the wedding, where the judge asks if anyone objects to the wedding and Larry is there to object. He says "Gaby's you can't marry, you are mine!" as a tear of pure dolor falls from his eyes. Gaby and Kike say nothing in response, and we cut to commercial.

After the commercial, Larry continues to protest the wedding, but Fedora quickly puts a stop to it. Kike holds Gaby back.

In the hospital, the doctor and nurse continue to struggle with Max, who keeps talking about Diana. Marfil leaves the room, and his big brute nurse throws him onto the bed and tells him to knock it off or she'll punish him. It looks like Bruna has been reincarnated as a nurse!

Marfil and Ocatvia talk to the doctor, who tells them that he's not sure that Max will ever fully recover. He may need electro shop therapy!

Fiona is still staying at casa Irazabal, and she's pacing the living room wondering what she'll do if Max doesn't come back. Yolanda arrives and tearfully tells her what's happened. Fiona is impactada.

Larry's still trying to talk Gaby out of marrying Kike, but doormat isn't strong enough to stand up to Fedora, whos' fighting like a fiera to get Larry to leave.

Marfil and Octavia tell the doc to do whatever is needed to cure Max, even if it's electro shock therapy. While they're talking with the doc, a crazy guy is telling Max horror stories about the manicomio where they are - it's filled with crazy people! Max seems to be lucid, but can't remember his name.

The nurses are discussing the arrival of an Irazabal at the manicomio. Samanta, the evil nurse, tells Galdis, the young sweet nurse, that if he doesn't behave she will punish him. (Maybe Max will fall in love with Gladis and forget about his obsession with the other nurse in his life!)

At the mansion, Fedora tells Larry to leave, but he refuses - until Gaby tells him to leave, breaking his heart into a million pieces. She falls into Diana's arms, and Fedora commands them to complete the ceremony. Cut to commercial.

After the commercial, Paco and Paola are at it again. Nothing new here - they hate each other.

Rene is consoling Yolanda at casa Irazabal. What a nice shoulder to cry on!

Kike and Gaby are officially married, and the only one who looks happy is Fedora, who claps as the ceremony ends. She kisses Gaby on the cheek and congratulates the happy couple. Gaby turns to her sister and grandmother for comfort as Fedora watches.

Larry is walking the beach shirtless and saying Gaby's name.

Yolanda tells Rene about what's happened with Max, but she doesn't want to delay their wedding since the doctor doesn't know when - or if - Max will get better. Marfil arrives and wants to know where Fiona is, because she's throwing her out on her ear. Fiona is pacing around the pool when Marfil comes out to tell her to pack her bags and leave.

Gaby has shut herself in her room with Diana and is crying over Larry, when Diana tells her that it's not to late to run off with Larry if that's what she wants. She had to marry Kike - there was no avoiding it, but now that she's married, she can do something crazy. She should follow her heart. *What kind of messed up logic is this, anyway? She couldn't stop the wedding, but now that she's married, she might as well run off into the sunset with Luscious Larry?* Anyway, Diana's pep talk works - as soon as she leaves the room Gaby calls Larry to find out where he is. She loves him!

Diana returns to her room so that she can call Yolanda for an update. She finds out where they've taken Max, then we're treated to a vision of Max curled up on his bed repeating her name and wondering why he keeps repeating it. Evil nurse Samanta enters and lets him know that there are a lot of crazies there and he's not her only patient.

The wedding reception continues - Fedora invites Kike to live at the mansion, and Kike is happy to accept. They suddenly realize that they haven't seen Gaby in a while, so Fedora goes to look for her.

Octavia returns home and tells Paco how hard it was to leave Max in that place, when Paola overhears what she says and asks what's happened to Max. Cut to commercial.

After the commercial, Paola screams at Octavia about how it's her fault that her children are messed up. Octavia is about to slap her, but is stopped by Paco, so she sends Paola to her room instead.

At the wedding, Miguelina introduces Lala to Rodrigo so that Lala can ask him to defend her son, the bigamist. Without any details about the crime, he agrees to handle the case.

Fedora enters Diana's room looking for Gaby, but Diana doesn't know where Gaby is. Then she realizes that Diana has changed her clothes and wants to know why. Diana informs her that she's changed so that she can go to the asylum where Max is. Fedora forbids her, but Diana walks out on her.

The closing scene is worth watching 2, 3, maybe 4 times -- as we're treated to a visual of Larry smiling and running towards Gaby with his gold chain bouncing on that beautiful six pack of his. When he reaches her, he scoops her up in his big, strong arms and whirls her around and then they kiss like they've never kissed before. Credits roll.

THE COFRE?

THE COFRE is still missing, right? On my recent vacation I found many possible locations, as well as many other choices Hugo/Gasca could have used for his fake cofre. Do you think THE COFRE ended up in Disneyland or Legoland? Here is the evidence, I'll leave the sleuthing up to you -

Zorro: Friday, June 22, 2007: Amazons in old LA, will wonders ever cease?

Show opens with Esme promising vengeance for her mom and little Tisha. She opens up to SAM and tells him her mom was the best thing to happen to her and they took away her son. SAM begs her not to torment herself more. Esme tells SAM she won’t any more, her only goal now is to exact justice. SAM and Camba go to find a transport for the treasure.

Mangle is holding the baby while Diego tells her he has decided to name it, Alejandro. Mangle seems surprised that Diego is making decisions about their baby. Diego tells her that he though if he named the kid like his grandpa he will group up thinking he belonged to real family (define real Diego, cuz I doubt the de la Vega’s are your run of the mill regular families). Mangle tells him she approves and is surprised since he’s been distant she thought he would reject little Alej. She coos at the baby and frankly I am impactada but since Mangle has no motherly bone in her body. It has to be an act. She tells the baby he will learn to love her above all things (that’s a kinda strange thing to say to a baby). She takes the baby to his room and gives Olmos a look.

Yumi walks in on Alej in his study looking at papers. She accuses him of running from her. Alej asks Yumi to forgive him because he doesn’t know what’s going on and doesn't want to make decisions that might affect others. Yumi thinks its about her but Alej tells her its between Dena and him. Yumi tells him its something to do with Dena and Alej tells her that he doesn’t know how she will react from now on.

Dol sees Dena looking at the window and asks to confide in her. Dena tells Dol about Yumi and Alej’s betrayal. Dol is surprised but something in the way she said it makes Dena ask if she already knew. Dol tells her that nobody is betraying her, she wanted Yumi out too but now she’s seen how much Yumi cares for Dena. Dena tells her if she really cared for her she wouldn’t have slept with Alej. Dol tries to say that line that men don’t know how to control their instincts and I am reminded that Dena said those same things to Esme when Diego was going to marry Mangle. Dena doesn’t want to hear it there was a betrayl by the two of them. Dena tells Dol that she thinks her death would benefit Yumi and that’s why she insisted she drink the elixir.

Pito is in his lab not sure what he’s supposed to find in testing the elixir and what do I see on the table but a microscope. I’ve looked into this and this microscope doesn’t look like the ones that were around in the 1800s but then again since I don’t know anything about the invention of the microscope I am sure one of our enlightened bloggers can make a funny joke about this. He puts a sample on the glass and puts a liquid into it. Pito can’t believe it, the elixir has arsenic. Pito tells the air, it is all clear, it’s a strong dose but administered in small doses would cause a slow death.

Mangle puts little Alej in bed and rants to Olmos about Diego’s gall naming the baby without consulting her first. Mangle says that Monty will die when he sees little Alej and it doesn’t look at all like him. Olmos asks if she wants something to drink and goes to get a glass of something. Mangle goes to the mirror and questions her feelings for Olmos. A vision of Selenia appears behind her saying that she will look at Olmos with unbridled passion, he will be the perfect man for you then disappears. Mangle feels funny and worries because Olmos is taking too long.

Cue Amor Gitano

Dol is scolding Dena for thinking like that and defends Yumi. Dena tells her that she was accepting her death and wanted to free him from the burden of a dying wife now all she feels is betrayal and rage more against Yumi. Alej tried to tell her before she defended Yumi. She calls Yumi and traitorous Indian and that she had a reason for giving her the elixir and it wasn’t to cure her.

Fonzie is taking in the beauty of the entire hacienda de la Vega which doesn’t compare to MP’s. Meanwhile MP is having a grey flash back to Prudenico telling her & Diego that FS is missing. Fonzie calls her name and takes a while to snap out of reverie. Fonzie asks her if something is wrong and MP tells him that she heard FS is missing and is worried about him. Fonzie tells MP that he knows about how FS has made her suffer and that he’s still in her heart but she has to forget about him. MP says that’s what she wants also. Fonzie promises that by marrying him he will help her to forget but first they should not treat each other so formal with “usted.”

We go to Brother Aaron baptizing Fernando Sanchez in the river. Wow, its kind of touching really.

Yumi and Alej enter the living room and Dol asks to speak to him. Yumi takes the hint and leaves. Dol tells Alej to deny to Dena that he had anything going with Yumi. Alej asks why, did Dena say something. Dol tells Alej that Dena found them talking about that that errand he had no business in running to do. Dol pleads with Alej to deny it, don’t destroy her heart. Alej tells Dol that he can’t do it anymore. He can’t deny what is the truth. Dol tells him the only truth is that he loves Dena and knowing the truth will kill her.

We go back the jungle where Esme pleads with Gluck to hold on Camba and SAM will be back soon. He says don’t worry about him but he recommends that they leave that place ASAP. The land is owned by Amazons. I am not familiar with this time period so its news to me that Amazons were around but considering everything else this novela has provided (San Diego positioned a stones throw from LA, dwarfs, hunchbacks, love potions, miraculous healings by many) are we really that surprised? Esme looks around freaked out by this and asks if he has seen them. Gluck tells her that he has been a witness to many things. I don’t know if the way he talks or the fact that he’s has to take in a lot of painful breaths but I couldn’t catch the rest of rest of what he said so anybody else can chip in if it was of dire importance. Anyway, he gives his last breath and Esme tells him she will never forget that he helped get her to the treasure and restored her life.

Diego meets Dena and invites her to a stroll in the garden. He sees a spark in her eyes and takes it as a good sign. Dena tells him that there are sparks that consume due to hurt and disillusionment. When Diego asks for clarification she tells him don’t pay me no mind and changes subject to Mangle and the baby. Dena tells Diego that Mangle should be kept away from the baby. Diego needs no further explaination and tells Dena that he brought up the subject of separation and Dena tells him to convince her to accept it. Dena warns him that Mangle is evil, she destroyed Esme’s live, bad influence on the baby, the list goes on (okay I made the last one up but you get the idea). Diego makes a cute pensive face.

We go to Mangle apologizing to Olmos for all the harm she’s done to him. She tells him she will erase her bad treatment with caresses, considering how EVIL she has been that could take forever and I am sure Olmos will want to do a little more than that. They share a steamy kiss but Olmos tells her its they’ll be discovered there. Mangle loves danger, it turns her on. More steamy kisses and Olmos offers to go somewhere private where they can share a cup of wine and unleash the unbridled passion (more from his side I am sure considering how long he has been waiting for this moment). There is some talk about him removing her clothes and more steamy kisses and beckster’s comment about anvils falling comes to mind.

Diego pulls out the mapdallian and while looking at it, Dena’s words about Mangle resurface (why warnings about Mangle is anybody’s guess I mean I would of thought Esme words of love or a grey flashback to them together but alas the writers didn't consult me). Diego stares and he notices something strange, he gets a charcoal from the fireplace and does a rub off on regular paper and viola a map.

We cut to one of those Amazionans running away from some evil man (not for nothing but how secret is the island because people are turning up left and right. Next you you know everybody from LA will show up and we’ll get a resort location, put up some tents, a hotel...). She knocks him down but there are two more and she’s restrained by one of them while the other starts pawing at her. Esme sees this and intervenes and this allows Amazonian chick to free herself. Esme is beating the guy with a huge stick but alas he overpowered her and has her pinned and with Zorro still uncovering the secret of the mapdallian what is our poor Esme to do? Evil Dude starts pawing at her when arrows are fired and Amazonian chicks buds come to the rescue. Esme just stares and makes me wonder if she is thinking what we are ¿Qué the hell?

Diego and Bernie meet in the Foxcave and tells him about the map hidden in the medallion and how he discovered it. He asks Bernie to go to the library and get him maps of California and blue prints/plans (planos) of the stars? He tells the air/Esme that he isn’t crazy that the mapadallian means something and he has hope of finding her.

Back to Esme and our ¿qué the hell? moment and man they are scantily clad Amazonians. I am sure Bruce is getting an eyeful. Too bad Ferro is on vacation I am also sure he would appreciate this as well. One of the Amazonian chicks introduces herself as Azalea and Esme introduces herself likewise. Azalea calls out for another one and they say something like Machala Esmeralda. The Amazonians bow down before Esme and she does the same. Well Esme sure knows the saying its who you know and is running with it.

Duke Jacobo reads the intercepted letter from the Queen and curses himself for not given the order to assassinate the king sooner. He ponders what to do. DJ is informed by a guard? (he’s in a redcoat and makes me think of history class, wasn’t the British army called the redcoats). Anyway, he informs DJ that the Queen went to the church.

We go to the chuch were the Queen is in a confessional booth and PT tells her he can confide in her all her sins. The Queen tells PT that she isn’t there to confess and tells him that she is afraid for her life and worries that the men who killed her husband may be around her. Hey she isn’t as naïve as we thought. The Queen tells PT that if something were to happen to her, he will be the one to carry the truth to Spain. PT tells the Queen she can trust him. The Queen tells PT that she came to Spain to find out about the Maryorga de Aaragon, the true heirs to the throne her. The Queen rehashes Zorro’s visits and how DJ hasn’t permitted it. The Queen wants to meet with Zorro again but doesn’t know how. PT tells her he knows the information and he tells the Queen of SK being at the mission.

Cut to Monty congratulating Leroy about the weapons and telling to watch the house and its surroundings. He tells Leroy that he will send men little by little and Leroy is to give ‘em weapons. Piza will be in charge of training them. Leroy asks how will Monty maintain them being that they will need incentive to go along with the plan. Monty tells Leroy that DJ will give money on the excuse that the Queen needs extra security. Monty promises Leroy that he (Monty) will make him a rich man if he eliminates his enemies including FS and Monty will be the new governor.

The baptismal ceremony is over and BA is putting sandals on FS’s feet. BA mouths a what looks like a prayer.

PT rehashes for the Queen the whole story about SK but for purposes of the scene he ends it with SK meeting up with the gypsies.

DJ tries to enter the church but is held back by the Queen’s redcoats okay they have black sleeves but there is still red vest. The guards tell DJ the Queen has been in there a while.

Back to rehash, PT is at the part about the death of Mercedes’ mom and how she now became SK, queen of the gypsies.

A guard informs Misael that DJ knows the Queen is at the church and headed over there. The guard tells Misael that DJ is waiting for him in his office.

PT continues the rehash to the Queen. PT tells of SK’s marriage to gypsy Yamil (Esme’s dad) up to the present. The Queen questions PT about rumors about a daughter. PT rehashes Esme's story. The Queen promises to meet out justice. PT begs her not to do anything until she hears from him as if it was found out she knew about this truth her life would be in danger. The Queen tells PT, its illogical but PT tells the Queen that Zorro is protecting her and he will tell her when to act.

Diego matches the map on the madallian to a location on his map. He notes a mountain or something and Bernie raises an eyebrow. Diego admits its not the way he was taught to read maps in school but the image is the same. Diego tells Bernie to prepare Tornado they are going for a trip and Bernie is coming too. Bernie signs what are they going to find and Diego himself is not sure, perhaps a last hope or maybe just unlock the mystery of the mapdallion. One of Diego and Esme’s theme songs play in the background.

Fonzie and MP arrive back home and MP’s apologizes for Alej not saying hello. MP tells him he’s taking care of sick Dena. Fonzie says its okay and it was pleasure being with her today. He’s counting the days till their marriage, he kisses her hand and leaves.

Dol sees Fonzie leave and tells MP that she thinks Fonzie is a good man and the one she deserves. MP tells Dol about the knews of a missing FS. Dol gets angry at MP for thinking about FS but MP can’t help it. She’s worried FS will do something crazy.

BA is putting a brown cloak on FS and they share a hug.

Diego runs into Mangle who is leaving arm in arm with Olmos. She tells Diego she’s going to take care of some business at her dad’s house with Olmos (a likely story) she’ll return at night. Diego asks Olmos to give him and Mangle a minute. Diego brings up the separation agreement and how Mangle never gave him an answer. Diego is leaving so he doesn’t expect an answer but it’s the best option for all three of them. Mangle tells Diego that she won’t make it easy for him to get rid of her and that little Alej still needs a mother. Diego doesn’t want to argue as he is going to be out just wants her to think about it. Mangle tells the air, we’ll wait till Dena dies and then we’ll put a price to your dreams.

Pito asks Dena how long she’s taking the medicine and Dena responds with a few months ( I would think at least 6). Pito tells Dena she is alive by a miracle and tells her and Alej (who just walked in) that the elixir was spiked with arsenic. Dena and Dol are impactadas. Pito counsels Dena not to take the elixir and gives her something to clean her blood.

The two gypsies who went into town tell Jonas about the Queen’s plans for a masked ball and how that would be the perfect time for SK to met up with her. SK agrees its perfect but Hermes worries its risky. AC says that she can come too as she knows people who will help out in their plan.

DJ rips Misael a new one regarding the Queen’s letter. He prohibits Misael from mailing Queen’s without DJ looking at it first. DJ apparently now knows the Queen came to LA to find out the truth about the Mayorga de Aragons. You know this is news to me cuz I seem to remember the Queen wanting to come to LA to find out how its progressed. DJ reminds Misael that the Queen cannot talk to anyone privately. Misael asks about PT and DJ wants him investigated. DJ tells Misael that for the Queen’s safety its best she not find out any more information else she will end up keeping the departed King company.

Diego and Bernie watch little Alej get carried by his nanny. Diego promises to protect little Alej from anybody and anything including Mangle even if she is his mom.

SAM and Camba are traveling with the transport for the treasure and chatting it up sort of. SAM is worried about having left Esme alone with Gluck, uno nunca sabe ‘tole (you never know ‘tole). Hehehe. Camba pats himself on he head and SAM tells him I am sure you agree with me and I wish I knew your language because I would like to know what your thinking. SAM takes a break to take off his boots and Camba says stuff his language (maybe qué the hell?) but SAM doesn’t understand. SAM looks up and Esme then makes her way forward. Meanwhile Camba stares in awe at the scantily clad Amazonians.

Acorralada #113 – 6-22-07 - Friday – Doc Evil Strikes Again!

A repeat of Diablo calling Doc Evil and wanting to form an alliance.

Marfil, Yolanda, Rene and Lunkhead are all gathered around Max's hospital bed. He tells them the reason Dimwit never said he was kidnapped was because Diablo would have killed him. They want to call the police, but Maxi-Moron tells them no. He wants to handle things himself. Finally, Marfil pipes up that Lunkhead is letting Princess Fi live there. "Make her leave!" Max tells Marfil Princess Fi can stay. Marfil is not happy about this.

Pasta and Octopus are still fighting about Pasta's lunch with Fidiota. Pasta tries to deflect the argument by reminding her that Puncho's in jail. Suddenly Peyote hears about her Puncho and becomes hysterical. She yells at Pasta and Octopus telling them how much she hates them. She hates them more and more each day!

Diablo and Iggy have united over a drink. Diablo is trying to convince Iggy they need to unite with the common goal of destroying Dimwit and Maxi-Moron. Iggy wants to know how he can trust Diablo. Diablo points out that Iggy made him an invalid, but if Iggy helps, all will be forgiven. Diablo also reminds Iggy that he lost his medical license because of Dimwit. Finally they drink to a partnership.

Gaby and Dimwit are discussing Dimwit's situation with Max. Max will never forgive her for allegedly sleeping with Diablo. Further, Max is still a married man. Marfil deserves compassion.

Iggy, in his 1980's Ray Bans, pays Maxi-Moron a visit in the hospital and injects something into his IV. He smiles as he leaves the room. Max sleeps through all of it.

Iggy then calls Diablo to tell him that Max has now been injected with a mystery substance that's going to make Max so crazy and demented; he'll be committed to a manicomio.

Emili-Oh delivers a dozen red roses to Dimwit. There's no card attached and he suggests to Dimwit that perhaps they are from Maxi-Moron. "I don't think so," says Dimwit. "Ah, then they must be from a secret admirer," says our ever astute Emili-Oh. No sooner does Emili-Oh leave, than the phone rings. It's Cousin Eddie. "Did you get my flowers? I want to make it up to you for creating such a scandal yesterday." Dimwit says all has been forgotten. Cousin Eddie then asks Dimwit to lunch.

Big Doormat and Princess Fi are having a heart to heart. Yolanda is telling Princess Fi it's really not such a good idea for her to be staying at the house. Marfil will not rest until Princess Fi is out on the streets. "Besides, Dimwit is the only woman Max will ever love."

Marfil is yipping at a sleeping Max about his allowing Princess Fi to stay at the house. Suddenly Maxi-Manic sits up and does his best to channel Sybil. "Who are you? Where is Diana? Where am I? They want to kill me! Diana!" He starts getting totally unglued. Marfil tells him he's gone crazy. Max then does the frothing-at-the-mouth, bug-eyed thing. Commercial.

Now Max has got the head-tilt thing going on. He's still screaming that everyone is trying to kill him. Only Dimwit can save him. Yolanda and Princess Fi run in and want to know what all the shouting is about. Suddenly only Dimwit and the Big Doormat are good. He wants his aunt and Dimwit; everyone else is trying to kill him. Marfil says the obvious; he's gone completely crazy. Maxi-Manicomio gloms on to Yolanda and won't let go.

Camila and Iggy are discussing the injection and how Iggy has formed an alliance with Diablo. At first Camila feels bad that the drugs are making Max hallucinate, but then she climbs on board the Doc & Diablo Express. If she can't have Maxi-Manicomio, no one can have Maxi-Manicomio.

Dimwit and Little Doormat are having the usual discussion about Mamá driving their lives out of hatred and preventing them from loving the Irascible Brothers. Little Doormat gives the usual speech defending her; about how much Mamá has suffered in the past. Dimwit thinks marrying Kick Me is a bad idea.

Doc has given Maxi-Manicomio a sedative to make him sleep. He explains Max's reaction can be expected given the situation he was in for the past few days. Don't worry, he'll be fine. Marfil says she needs to see someone and tells Princess Fi not to be there when Marfil returns. Yolanda then has to "go see someone." Princess Fi is thrilled to death to be left tending Max. She can't help herself; she has to kiss Sleeping Hombre.

Little Doormat wants to know who the red roses are from. Dimwit tells her about the scandal Cousin Eddie created at the office, and how he is trying to make it up to her. He also wants to take her to lunch. Gaby asks if Dimwit accepted. "Of course not," our chaste heroine replies. Sylvie then bursts through the door. They have some discussion about heaven knows what, but by the jaunty music, I'm sure it's supposed to be something comical. At any rate, Sylvie wants to thank the Hermanas Sorianos.

Lala comes to visit Puncho in jail. As always, the TeleMiami jail never has inmates other than our beloved characters. Puncho tells Lala he's sorry, but she just slaps him twice. He then falls to his knees begging forgiveness and we have a sob fest.

Sylvie has come to tell Dimwit and Gaby she is leaving the mansion and moving in with her cousin, Emili-Oh. She is so grateful for their hospitality during the worst moments of her short life. Dimwit tells her the doors to Psycho Mansion will always be open to her. Hugs all around!

Marfil storms into Lala's casita to confront Diablo. How dare he kidnap Max without consulting her first! Diablo yells back that he's not her puppet. Insults are exchanged by all parties and there is lots of yelling. Diablo grabs Marfil by the hair after she tries to slap him and the fight is on. In true telenovela fashion, however, they end up kissing passionately. Commercial.

Yolanda has come to see Dimwit at the office. "Why haven't you come to visit Max?" Dimwit replies that Maxi-Moron thinks she slept with Diablo and besides, Marfil is good and should be with him. Yolanda believes Dimwit would never do such a thing and points out Max doesn't care about Marfil. Dimwit then asks how he's doing. Yolanda says she's worried. Max has gone crazy. Orchestra of Doom.

The sob fest and groveling continues between Puncho and Lala. Puncho says he truly loves both Caramel and Peyote.

Marfil breaks away from Diablo and wants to know what the heck he thinks he's doing. "Admit it, you liked it! You felt it from your head to your toes!" Marfil is flustered and runs out the door. Diablo chuckles about his prowess.

More of the jailhouse scene. Lala is going to hire a good attorney. After she leaves, Puncho tells us he doesn't need an attorney; he's going to escape! I must say I'm impressed that Lala is more concerned with Puncho's bigamy than the fact Puncho and Diablo kidnapped Max for days on end. It's nice her priorities are straight! Not.

Yolanda begs Dimwit to visit Max, he needs her! Dimwit is reticent after all that has happened. Finally Dimwit relents and promises to visit Maxi-Manicomio "tomorrow." Yolanda is grateful.

Ex-Doc Evil comes in late at night to administer another dose of the mystery drug. Suspenseful music plays. "Adios, Loquito!"

Fidiota and Roddy are dressed like the Bobsey Twins; all in white gauzy outfits. *** Isn't there a religious cult that dresses in white gauze? Speaking of gauze, where's Mummy? *** I digress. Fidiota and Roddy are walking hand in hand along the beach. Roddy tells her this is where he comes to relax. This is just a filler scene of no consequence. We already know Roddy is in love with Fidiota.

Max starts screaming for Dimwit. He's writhing on the bed screaming about being burned to death. DoK comes in and makes the nurse give him a sedative.

Gaby is in the library crying when Granny M comes in. "Why are you sad? You're getting married tomorrow!" "That's why I'm sad," laments Little Doormat. We then hear from Granny M about how good Kick Me is and how much he loves her. Little Doormat says Mamá wants her to marry Kick Me in order to forget Lunkhead. Nancy then walks in to announce Kick Me has just arrived. Granny M tells Little Doormat to suck it up and dry her tears so Kick Me doesn't see her crying. I sure do hope Lunkhead appears at the ceremony and carries her off. That would be poetic justice after Kick Me carried off Pillow at Lunkhead's wedding. I don't believe Lunkhead knows about the wedding yet, however. There certainly hasn't been a scene in which someone has told him. I would have remembered that.

Back to Roddy and Fidiota. He likes to see her laugh. He then talks about them opening a bar. Blah, blah, blah. Finally he asks if he can steal a kiss. She replies he wouldn't be "stealing" one.

Kick Me wants to see Little Doormat smile again. He tries to land a kiss, but she dodges him. He says it pains him that she avoids his kisses. Finally he produces a ring that was his great-grandmother's. It's very valuable and has been in the family for years. Little Doormat admits it's beautiful, but we can tell she clearly isn't interested in being Kick Me's wife.

Dimwit has arrived to visit Maxi-Manicomio. Max babbles on about being burned. Dimwit points out the obvious to DoK, who is still in the room. "What he's saying is incoherent!" DoK agrees. Maxi-Manicomio has gone crazy. The Orchestra of Doom does its thing.

Kick Me is now wanting to discuss their honeymoon. Little Doormat tells him she can't leave Dimwit's side right now. Kick Me tries to tell Gaby she has a right to be happy, but finally gives up and says the honeymoon can wait.

DoK is now meeting with Lunkhead, Dimwit, and Marfil. He doesn't know if Max will get better. The human mind is a mystery. If he doesn't get better, he will have to be committed to a manicomio. More Orchestra of Doom.

Peyote is lying on the couch crying about Puncho. We then see flashbacks to when she first saw Puncho. She was jumping out of a helicopter into the ocean, and he was on the beach. She later saw him on the beach with Caramel. Meanwhile, Puncho is crying in his jail cell for his fierita. She's so vulnerable and fragile. Whatever.

Lala has come to Perfumes 'R Us to visit Caramel. Lala tells Caramel that Puncho is repentant for all the pain he's caused her. Puncho would like Caramel to come visit him in jail. Caramel says it's too late. She's tired of his deceptions, the way he's treated her, etc. She basically recites a laundry list of awful things Puncho has done. Finally, someone states the obvious. Caramel brings up the kidnapping issue. Puncho doesn't value the lives of other people.

Dimwit and Granny M are having a chat. Dimwit tells her about the possibility of Maxi-Moron being committed to an asylum. Dimwit has decided if he's committed, she's going to give up her job at Perfumes 'R Us and be his personal nurse. Granny M says Fidiota will never allow it. There's no changing Dimwit's mind. It's a done deal. She loves her Maxi-Mundane and wants to spend the rest of her life at his side, even if it's at a manicomio. Even if Fidiota won't allow it! Granny M is impactada. Max's and Dimwit's love song gets louder and louder the longer this scene runs.

Credits roll.

Acorralada #112 – 6-21-07 Thursday - One Adam 12, One Adam 12, Shots Fired!

Cousin Eddie comes running into Max's office yelling "Where's Max?" Dimwit looks at him glassy-eyed and asks "Who are you?"

Marfil confronts Princess Fi, who is lounging by the pool in her black bikini with a black mesh cover-up. Marfil asks "What do you think this is? A five-star hotel? Why are you lounging by the pool?" Princess Fi asks, "Are you more upset that I'm using your pool, or are you more upset I've come to seduce Maxi-Mundane? I obviously have a better body than you." This happy little scene ends when Marfil pushes Princess Fi into the pool.

Cousin Eddie yells he needs to talk to Maxi-Mundane. "Who are you?" asks Dimwit. Iggy comes running in to back up his cousin and sees Dimwit. "Who do we have here? It's the woman who caused me to lose my medical license!" Dimwit retorts that he's the one who got her fired from the hospital in the first place. "Do you know this yahoo?" "Sure do," replies Iggy. "It's Cousin Eddie! And Max wants to steal his wife!" "Ah," says Dimwit, "You're the hubby of Princess Fi. She was here yesterday looking for Max." Iggy says he saw Max and Fiona kissing here yesterday. Dimwit says that's impossible, "Max wasn't even here. Princess Fi left alone." Beatriz enters and offers to call Security. Iggy refuses to be thrown out. Dimwit then gives him the option to leave on his own. Iggy threatens Dimwit; she's going to pay for what she's done. Iggy storms out and Cousin Eddie apologizes for bursting in.

Marfil tries to get Yolanda to throw out Princess Fi, but Yolanda doesn't want to get involved. Marfil starts calling Yolanda "gray" among other insults, but Yolanda is in love. She refuses to rise to the bait. She tells Marfil she refuses to get upset by the insults. She's in love with a wonderful man, and they're getting married! He's on his way to pick her up to buy things for the wedding. Yolanda is on cloud nine. I'd be on cloud nine too if I was marrying someone with dimples like that.

Cousin Eddie is now pouring out his tale of woe to Dimwit. Princess Fi is Cousin Eddie's world. He got so wrapped up in business that their love was confined to Saturday. Now he's sorry. Blah, blah, blah. Dimwit again assures him Max wasn't in the office yesterday because he's been out of town. Cousin Eddie makes some comment about the problems between Dimwit and Iggy. Dimwit doesn't want to discuss the former Doc Evil. Cousin Eddie then apologizes for anything Iggy may have done to her. Finally, Cousin Eddie apologizes again for everything and softly asks, "So what's your name?" Dimwit tells him "Diana Soriano." Cousin Eddie gazes at her with puppy-dog eyes. Heart-string tugging music plays in the background. Could another man be falling at Dimwit's feet? I've lost track of all the guys who've fallen for her since January.

Diablo and Puncho are in the warehouse guarding Max. Diablo announces he's going to the house to pack a suitcase. "Be sure to not let Maxi-Moron escape."

Cousin Eddie asks if she knows Max well. "I'd rather not discuss him either." Cousin Eddie sappily apologizes again for being so rude and introduces himself. He then leaves and we see a pensive, glassy-eyed Dimwit with her signature head-tilt.

Lunkhead jumps in the pool and swims over to Princess Fi. Princess Fi refers to Marfil as a viper with two heads. She then tells Lunkhead he's an excellent swimmer. Lunkhead says he just had a discussion with Marfil, and as much as it pains him, he needs to ask Princess Fi to pack her things and leave.

Fidiota has now assumed the presidency of Perfumes 'R Us. Emili-Oh is in her office. Fidiota wants to know where Max is, since she's not seen him around for awhile. He replies that Dimwit said Max left town on business. Fidiota wants Max's letter of resignation when he returns. As Emili-Oh is leaving, who should walk in but Pasta. Pasta wants to invite Fidiota to lunch. Some love song starts playing in the background. Fidiota says something about giving her hand to Roddy, and wants to know what Pasta thinks of that. Why is he REALLY there? Pasta repeats he wants to take her to lunch. Fidiota asks, "What if I refuse?" Pasta replies he doesn't think she will. The love song drones on.

Dimwit is moaning about how much she wants to see Maxi-Moron when Caramel bursts in. They are going to go to Lala's house and follow Diablo. Perhaps he'll lead them to Max. How many days has Max been held captive now? Still no police involvement? Geez!

Princess Fi begs Lunkhead to let her stay. She has no place to go, she has no money, she doesn't love her hubby, etc. Lunkhead tries to tell her Max loves Dimwit, but Princess Fi cannot be persuaded. Finally Lame Larry caves and tells her she can stay.

Caramel and Dimwit have followed Diablo to the warehouse. While Caramel stands guard, Dimwit sneaks in to save her hanging hero. She has to slap him around a few times to revive him. Does he want to escape ASAP? Of course not. He wants to discuss the fact that she allegedly slept with Diablo. He doesn't know whether he should believe her or not! For that alone, he deserves to be left hanging. Finally Dimwit finds a knife and cuts the ropes that bind his arms and feet. Maxi-Moron falls to the ground and she frantically begs him to escape before Diablo finds them. Too late. In silhouette, in comes Diablo carrying a pistol. He yells at them and we see him firing a bunch of shots in the direction of Dimwit and Maxi-Moron. Commercial.

Caramel confronts Puncho. Puncho exclaims he's heard four shots. Caramel is impactada. Diablo has killed Dimwit and Maxi-Moron! Suddenly we hear sirens and there is a police car filled with three cops.

Kike has come to visit Little Doormat at Perfumes 'R Us. He wants to know why the most beautiful fiancé in the world has responded so coldly. He doesn't even get a little kiss? "As you wish," says Gaby. He goes to kiss her, but she turns her head to give him her cheek. Kike announces he wants to ask if she'll marry him in three days. Gaby looks at him with those big doe-eyes of hers and the Orchestra of Doom crashes.

Diablo announces, "Those were just warning shots. Next time I won't miss!" Maxi-Martyr weakly lunges at Diablo and falls to the ground, at which time Diablo kicks Max. Dimwit is screaming at Diablo to have mercy on Pobre de Max. "You mean like the mercy you showed on me?" screams Diablo.

Puncho is going to investigate the shots when the cops (who look like Junior Explorers) all tumble out of the car. They've come to arrest Puncho for bigamy. Puncho is clutching his pistola, as if he has no plans to be taken alive. Caramel watches in horror as this scene unfolds, "Pobre Puncho!" cries Caramel. Apparently what Puncho has done to Max is not as awful as her Puncho being arrested for bigamy.

Gaby is trying to make excuses for not marrying Kike so quickly. Kike can't be convinced. He wants a small, intimate wedding at Psycho Mansion. Even his parents won't be there since they live in Mexico. Gaby is still stuttering and trying to come up with excuses when Fidiota barges in. "Three days is plenty of time to plan a splendid wedding!" Kike points out even Fidiota thinks a quickie wedding is a great idea. Pobre de Gaby is getting pressured from all sides.

Princess Fi is still throwing a pity party about how awful her marriage is. She and Lunkhead are sunning themselves side-by-side next to the pool. Suddenly, who should show up but Pillow! Lunkhead stands up and suspenseful music plays.

Diablo is still threatening to shoot Max while Dimwit is trying to talk him out of it. Max makes some comment about Diablo being too much of a coward to fight like a real man. Diablo lowers the gun and decides to take Max up on his challenge. Dimwit is still begging them to stop this nonsense. Max makes some crack about Dimwit failing him by sleeping with Diablo. This nonsensical scene ends with both Maxi-Moron and Diablo facing each other with fists raised. What a bunch of buffoons!

Puncho is telling the cops he won't be taken alive. He'd rather be dead than lying on the floor of a jail. Caramel tries to talk him into giving up, and the one Junior Explorer tries to hold her back while still holding a gun on Puncho.

Lunkhead introduces Pillow to Princess Fi. When Princess Fi finds out that Pillow and Lunkhead used to be engaged, she leaves them alone "to talk." Pillow announces that she's decided to move to Spain and live with a friend. She needs to forget Lunkhead. Lunkhead says he supports her decision. I am really excited since if she leaves, that must mean this telenovela is winding down. They've already eliminated Bruno and Andres. Now Pillow is on her way out.

Fidiota asks Gaby if "she's got a minute." After they leave, Pasta asks Kick Me why on earth does he want to marry a woman that doesn't love him. Kick Me responds his love alone is sufficient. Meanwhile, Fidiota asks Little Doormat if Little Doormat plans on challenging her like her evil big sister, Dimwit. "I would never cross you," says a subservient Little Doormat. Fidiota is now all smiles. "Then it's done. You'll be marrying Kick Me in three days. He'll make a swell mate!" Gaby tries to protest but Fidiota starts getting nasty. Finally Little Doormat gives up and agrees to marry Kick Me. Fidiota is happy again.

Pillow and Lunkhead are still discussing her plans. Pillow tells Lunkhead he should try and get Gaby back since he apparently loves her so much. Emotional violin music plays in the background. Just when I thought there was light at the end of the tunnel, it turns out to be the train. Lunkhead asks Pillow to stay. Pillow is all too happy to change her departure plans.

A gun fight erupts between Puncho and the Junior Explorers, with Caramel crying and trying to grab the cop's arm.

Diablo, Maxi-Moron, and Dimwit hear the shots. Dimwit tries to get Diablo to leave while he can still escape. Max tells Diablo that the two of them are not finished yet. After too long a period, Diablo runs out of the warehouse. Maxi-Moron tells Dimwit she failed him. He then collapses on the ground and Dimwit kneels next to him crying. The Orchestra of Doom continues.

The gun fight continues until Puncho's gun finally jams. He then surrenders. The cops haul him off as Caramel is wailing about how much she loves him. Puncho says he loves her too, but that he also loves Peyote. As the cops ride off into the sunset, Caramel, wearing a very tight vest showing lots of cleavage, collapses on the ground with her chest heaving. "Puncho, Puncho, I love you! I love you! Puncho!" Commercial.

Gaby is crying in her office about her upcoming nuptials when Emili-Oh walks in. "You can't hide it from me. You've been crying!" Gaby then pours out her tale of woe and how she's obligated to marry Kick Me, since that's what her mother wants. Emili-Oh tries to talk her out of marrying someone she doesn't love. If only she could forget Lunkhead!

Iggy and Camila are at a restaurant bagging on Dimwit to Cousin Eddie. Cousin Eddie doesn't get it; he thinks Dimwit's a good woman and very sweet. More bagging on Dimwit by Iggy and Camila until Fidiota and Pasta show up. Apparently Fidiota couldn't turn Pasta down. When Iggy sees Fidiota and Pasta, he can't help himself; he has to run and call Octopus. He leaves Camila to explain the situation to Cousin Eddie, who still looks dazed and confused.

Octopus picks up the phone. She's dressed in her best leopard wanna-be outfit; a tunic that hangs down to her knees. Octopus is none too happy to get the news that Pasta is at a restaurant with her worst enemy.

Dimwit is trying to get Maxi-Moron to stand up. He's doesn't want to see her since she was with Diablo. Dimwit tells him she had to lie or Diablo wouldn't let her see Max. Maxi-Moron, true to his name, says he doesn't believe her. Meanwhile he's all splayed out on the floor with his best attempt to look pathetic, along with his finest white shoes. These white shoes will outlive us all.

Caramel runs in crying that Puncho has been taken to jail for bigamy. Finally they agree that Max needs medical treatment. They want to carry him to the car, but Maxi-Morose doesn't want Dimwit touching him. Caramel, alone, can carry him to the car. He continues with his pathetic attempt to stumble out of the warehouse, where Dimwit remains alone, crying. Commercial

Cousin Eddie is whining about Princess Fiona leaving him. She's his world, etc. Camila tells him to suck it up; the world's not going to end because Princess Fi dumped him. At that moment, Iggy returns to the table. "Did you tell the witch about Pasta and Fidiota?" "You betcha!" replies Iggy. Camila and Iggy toast to the occasion.

Pasta is groveling to Fidiota. He made a huge mistake when he married Octopus. He hadn't seen her in 20 years and didn't know what he was getting into. Now he's living a nightmare and wants Fidiota back. He realizes how much he loves Fidiota. Fidiota tells Pasta he's too late. She's found someone that she intends to love. Meanwhile, Roddy is in his office grinning ear to ear and repeating Fidiota's name. Ugh!

Dimwit is tucking Maxi-Moron into his hospital bed and tenderly kissing his forehead while he sleeps. How sweet! The man she loves stills believes the worst about her. Their love song plays feverishly in the background. Am I supposed to be all warm and fuzzy?

Caramel is on the phone telling Lala Puncho is in jail and that they found Max. "No, Max is not going to denounce Diablo." Dimwit walks up. The two women cry together about their luck with men. Dimwit has apparently called Larry and Yolanda who are on their way to the hospital. Caramel says they'd better leave before Marfil arrives. They stroll out arm in arm, snuffling all the way to the car, I'm sure.

Lala is lamenting about what horrible sons she has. Now Puncho is in jail. Etc. Diablo is scowling on the sofa telling Lala to give it a rest; he's tired of hearing the same thing over and over. After Lala leaves, he swears that he isn't finished with Max yet. Commercial.

The gang arrives at the hospital, including Princess Fi and Marfil. Marfil refuses to let Princess Fi in Max's room. As the gang is trouping towards Maxi-Moron's room, Yolanda asks Princess Fi to please wait outside. Princess Fi is not happy.

Pasta comes in to his apartment all excited. He has good news to tell Octopus; Puncho's finally in jail! Octopus comes stomping out of the bedroom and wants to know how his lunch with Fidiota went. "Did you tell her how unhappy you are with me? Did you tell her you want to reunite with her?"

Little Doormat and Dimwit are commiserating about the unhappy state of their love lives. Gaby tells Dimwit that Fidiota is making her marry Kick Me in three days. That's not enough time for her to forget about Lunkhead. Dimwit is telling Little Doormat that she couldn't tell anyone about Maxi-Moron's capture because Max's life was in danger. Now Maxi-Moron believes she slept with Diablo. Pobre de Ellas!

There's discussion in Max's hospital room about what happened to Max. Why did Caramel and Dimwit bring him to the hospital looking like this after Dimwit said he was in Chicago on business?

Dimwit is telling Mini-Max that his father wants nothing to do with her. She is feeding Mini-Max a bottle, and I must say Mini-Max is looking Mighty-Cute. He looks like he's about to fall asleep and keeps making these grunting noises.

Iggy is waxing poetic about how much he hates Maxi-Moron and Dimwit. They are the two people he hates most in the world. Suddenly the phone rings. It's Diablo. Doc Evil wants to know who in the heck is Diablo. Diablo reminds him that Doc Evil was the one who left Diablo an invalid. Doc Evil wants to know why Diablo is calling him. "To form an alliance."

Credits roll.
