Llena de Amor #15 Fri 8/27/10

Netty and crew are ready to eat in the dark when some spooky lady shows up asking if this is the place that rents rooms.

I (we) are forced to suffer through the fake rape Mauricio/Mari scene again. This actor is a great bad guy, I never see him on screen without feeling the urge to kick him in the nuts.

Fedra is upset that Netty plans on getting involved in the whole inheritance mess. She wants The Mask to ‘take care of them’ – Mari and Netty. In the words of recapper/reader Kat, “Fedra is fugly and she makes me sick.” Well said.

Lorenzo cries and yells at people, the maid runs to call an ambulance. He’s so upset that Muneca did this, not seeing that it’s all his fault, really. He is mad at her for ‘playing this game’, and yells for the ambulance again, I guess he thinks they are magic or can fly.

More ugliness as Mauricio pretends to rape Mari.

Delicia debates whether or not to read Mari’s diary, she finally decides yes. She slowly opens it. Poems and love notes for EMANUEL.

The whole house stares at the creepy lady, one wants Netty to throw her out, but Netty says of course not and invites her in. Netty shakes her hand and there is an electric shock between them, creepy lady suddenly says she is receiving something, the others realize she is a medium. Wow this show just took a hard turn towards ridiculous. They try to sit creepy lady down, but then she says to Netty “the only one here who needs help is YOU.” Say goodbye to a decent rate on your rental, after that comment!

Emanuel, accompanied by his hot sister and his hot girlfriend, is knocking on Mari’s door. Of course there is no answer, inside Mauricio has his hand over Mari’s mouth. Mauricio tells Mari she better not say anything, or he’ll tell Eman that she came on to HIM. She says she’ll yell the truth, he says fine go ahead, see who they believe. I realized this is the second time now that I’ve seen this actor pretend to rape this actress, it happened in MEPS too, though she didn’t have the fat suit that time.

Creepy lady says a powerful lady is going to close all of Netty’s paths. She is channeling Juan Pastor. A woman with seven demons will not rest until she sees Netty dead. A fugly woman, no doubt. Netty says the same thing, “Fedra!”

Eman gets in with a key, nobody is in the room. The chicks say it’s strange, they left her there and went to get Eman, now she’s gone. Kristel wonders in her head if Mauricio has Mari in the bathroom, completing his plan. Eman finds the dress on the bed and is mad that they bought maternity, they have stores for people like Mari! The girls say yeah, but no way are they going to set foot in one of THOSE stores.

Netty wants to know about Mari from creepy lady, but after hearing the name Fedra, she had collapsed on the chair and lost her connection with Juan Pastor, apparently. Creepy lady wakes up and looks at Netty funny, and says she wants to rent a room. The lights come back on, freaking everyone out.

Mauricio has Mari in the bathroom, I guess, and is telling her to keep quiet. Kristel is leaning on the door on the other side, making Eman suspicious. He knocks, no answer.

Delicia, like every stupid novela character ever, says her thoughts out loud REALLY LOUD about what she CAN’T LET ANYONE FIND OUT, namely that Mari is IN LOVE! Of course Nereida is right there and hears it and wants to know who. They fight over the diary. This fight would be a lot better in bikinis and jello, just saying.

Now Eman is trying to unlock the other door, complaining about how all the doors have locks. Me too dude. The girls insist on looking for Mari, in other places. Not here, other places. They insist that they want to be friends with Mari, that’s why they bought her this stuff! Fedra comes in and says “WHO bought WHAT for la gorda?” Apparently that is against the law in that house.

Nereida’s hair comes loose in the fight, nice. Delicia ends up with the diary and runs off.

Lorenzo is talking to the other woman on his cell phone right there in Camila’s hospital room. He is blaming her for what happened, after her phone call. She says whatever, now you are free of her. Lorenzo says it’s the mother of his daughter! Lady says “hey, we have a son too.” He says it’s a lie, he has heard it before. She says she’ll prove it. Come over to her place and see. He says she’ll pay if she bothers him or his wife again.

Fedra wants an explanation from Kristel, it was paid for with Fedra’s money it turns out and she is beside herself. She prohibits any more expenditures on Mari’s behalf. Eman tries to go talk to her. Mauricio in the other room says ok they’re gone, let’s get down to business. Kristel tells Ilitia that Mauricio and Mari are in the bathroom. Mari slaps Mauricio in the face, pushes him away, and his towel falls. She freaks out and turns away covering her eyes. She tries to leave, he stops her. Great. I get the episode long rape attempt, lucky me. She slaps him again. Then starts hitting him with a painting an escapes. She runs over the other two girls on her way out, who were eavesdropping.

Mari runs past Eman and Fedra talking in the hall, when Eman tries to stop her, she trips and falls down the stairs. In slow motion. So we might think she died or something, here in only the 15th episode of the show. Maybe now she ends up in a coma and in the process loses all the weight. We’re all ready for the fat part to be over, right?

Netty stresses, somehow the lights went off again. Oh it’s the middle of the night and she was pacing. Brandon’s mom shows up and they stress and worry together.

Eman runs to Mari, yells at his mom to call an ambulance, do something useful for once. Mari comes around. Fedra says “lucky” and walks upstairs. Mari says she’s in bad shape, mostly from being here (in this house). You got that right. She gets up and says she has to leave to feel better. She leaves.

Mauricio comes out of the bathroom naked, Ilitia freaks out. Kristel teases him. Ilitia throws the pregnancy dress at him and tells him to cover up. Yes please. He says ah, it bothers you to see this, compared to what you normally see (a dig at Eman). She says of course not! There is a knock at the door. They all panic.

Mari sits outside and cries and whines. Delicia wanders by and sees her. She comes over and is disgusted with the makeup the girls put on her. Mari tells her what Mauricio did. Delicia takes Mari inside.

Eman is at the door, yelling at Ilitia, there’s someone else there, right? Mauricio ends up on the balcony again. He jumps off, landing right in front of Fedra. Oooops. “Lose your clothes again, Mauricio?” Hahaha. Good one. “let me guess, they came back and assaulted you again?”

In the kitchen, Mari tells the whole story to Delicia. Delicia says to tell everyone, Mari says what for, they won’t believe me. Of course not. She’ll stay quiet and this will go on forever. Wow her makeup really is bad. Delicia says Mari looked for a little trouble, though, being in love with Emanuel.

Eman yells at the girls. They get all defensive “omg how could you accuse us” etc etc. “some people don’t know how to accept love and caring.” Eman has heard enough. “She fell down the stairs, almost died” Really? She got up and walked away, but whatever. “She wants to leave this house, what did you do to her?” Then he holds his head like he is having an aneurysm, that’s the second time tonight I’ve seen that. I’m sure it means something. He falls onto the bed, the girls are alarmed.

Mauricio makes excuses, but Fedra doesn’t want to hear it. She tells him that if Emiliano finds out about this, he’ll kill him. Mauricio begs her to not say anything, Fedra says fine, but…. Mauricio says whatever you say. She owns him now. Emiliano shows up, mad about the snake in Mari’s room. Fedra says Mauricio did it. Now that Fedra owns him, he confesses that yes, it was him.

Ilitia tries to get Eman to relax. He can’t, he’s upset with the Mari situation. He wants her to feel at home here, but can’t get it done. Ilitia promises to be Mari’s friend, he says sure, just like Kristel? She promises again, she’ll do it for him. Ominous music plays as he believes her this time.

Emiliano rips Mauricio a new one. He whines that it was just a small thing, he didn’t mean, etc etc. Emiliano puts Mauricio on notice – he bothers Mari again, even the smallest thing, you won’t be allowed in this house or to be Kristel’s boyfriend. Mauricio thinks of what he just did and worries. Emil and Fedra tell him to go find Mari and apologize. Emil ends up thanking Fedra for her help, Fedra says she can’t stand what everyone is doing to poor Mari! Bleah.

Delicia rather rudely tells Mari she’s nuts for being in love with Eman. Mari says respect my feelings, Delicia says fine, ok. Mari says she loves Eman back when they were kids and that feeling stayed with her. Man everything seems like I’ve seen it before, this reminds me of Eduardo and Fernanda on MEPS. Speaking of, if anyone sees that a show with Silvia Navarro is coming on anywhere, let me know. I thought she was great on that show. Anyway – Mauricio is eavesdropping it turns out, he comes in the room to gloat over his new knowledge.

Ilitia reports back to Kristel that she got Eman to buy that they want to be friends with Mari. Ilitia says they should cool it a bit. Another eavesdropper, this time Gretel, who wants to know what’s going on.

Mari denies everything to Mauricio, who says he is going to tell Eman. Of course he wouldn’t, that would give away his power, but Mari is of course too stupid to realize this. As long as he doesn’t tell Eman he has that to hold over her, she should hope that he DOES tell, to get it over with. Delicia starts to yell at Mo, Mari the wimp tells her to stop. Mo tells Delicia to leave. Mari the wimp says yes, she should go. Great. She is going to lay down, completely, for this. She begs Mo not to tell Eman. He says fine, but let’s go, I have to apologize to you for the snake in front of Emiliano, and you are going to accept.

Gretel doesn’t buy the whole innocent act from the hotties either. They go on and on about how they are going to help her lose weight and Gretel seems to start to believe them. Sort of.

Mo apologizes to Mari in front of Emiliano, Mari accepts too quickly. Mo goes on to say we’ll be friends now, right? She says yes. She even goes on to say that she is the one who started everything. Emiliano says she appreciates her maturity, and no more jokes in this house! Emil takes her to the kitchen for some tea. Fedra says she has to talk to him, he says wait until I get back. Mo and Fedra are left alone. He thinks he has met his part of their deal, she says no way. She takes a cigar out of the box and says the next time she finds him here with no pants – she clips the end of the cigar with a cutter. Yikes. Then she says she’ll kill him. I think the clipping threat would be enough.

Later, she is in the office alone when Emiliano returns. She complains that Kristel spent a ‘fortune’ on clothes for Mari. Emil thinks that was nice. Fedra whines and cries that it’s not her fault Mari doesn’t have any clothes or money. More whining and crying. Emil says it’s his money too, and Kristel can spend as much as she wants on Mari, is that clear? Emil then says he wants to start the paperwork to get Marianela her inheritance. Fedra tries to hold him off, but he has made up his mind. He wants Mari to get what is hers so she doesn’t feel like they are supporting her. He says that if he has to kick the entire family out of the house to make Mari comfortable, he’ll do it, and Fedra better pack her bag because she’ll be the first one out the door, understand? Hell yeah, kick her out now! Why wait!

Fidel, Lorenzo’s driver, shows up looking for Ilitia. He tells her about her mother.

Fedra looks out the window and whines about Mari. She says poor Emiliano, 25 years and he still doesn’t know her. She pulls out a fancy dagger. She walks towards the bed. She vows that the house and inheritance will belong to her, not Mari. She makes to stab Emiliano.

Monday – Mari gets a HUGE check for her commercial, it is a hit. Can a commercial be a hit? Netty is going to get some money in 5 days. Or is Mari going to get it? Not sure. Fedra makes to stab Emiliano, again.

INSOMNIACS CLUB: 'LA VERDAD OCULTA' premiers TUE 8/31, midnight EST (Univision)

See Comments sections for individual episode links on You Tube

Univision had been holding this Eduardo Yáñez telenovela, which was produced before Destilando Amor; and now they've slated to broadcast it at midnight.

It was his return to Mexican telenovelas after working in the US, and he won best actor for this role. All I ever heard as to why they were holding it was that it was rumored to be too hot for prime time.

If anyone has pictures or anything they would like to post, please do; or email me at jeri@tormenta.com. Recaps were not expected for the late hour, but a discussion can be posted every day if there is a good response.

Synopsis

This is an exciting story of love, intrigue and secrets that focuses around two couples. The first couple is David Genovés and Gabriela Guillén. Gabriela is an intelligent, modest (and beautiful) girl that works as a waitress in the restaurant that David administers which belongs to his father, Mario Genovés.

The second couple is Juan Jose, who spent 11 years in prison for a crime that he didn't commit, and Alejandra, a young architect whose social class is well above that of Juan Jose, however, she falls in love with him at first sight and will fight to gain his heart.

When Gabriela and her sister Julieta start working at the restaurant, David feels immediately attracted to Gabriela, however, his partner Carlos is also impressed by her beauty. A great rivalry arises between them to conquer her heart.

Although Gabriela is in love with David, multiple conflicts arise and she doubts her true feelings, more so when Leonardo appears in her life. Leonardo is a commander of the police who becomes her protector, but who has to hide the love that feels for her.

Gabriela spends considerable time and anguish (this is a novela, after all) before she accepting that in fact she loves David, who is sincere. Nevertheless, her relation will be difficult and conflicting due to the intrigue of Carlos and the jealousy of David.

Gabriela doesn't know that her father, Faustus and Mario Genovés knew each other many years ago and share a terrible and painful secret. Now, the re-encounter of these two men coincides with a great tragedy: Mario finds out that he has an inoperable tumor and has just a short time left to live.

In order to protect the inheritance of his son, knowing that his partner Adolfo is an individual without scruples that would seize his fortune, Mario convinces Faustus to disguise himself and to take his place until the term of his business contract with Adolfo finishes.

For this purpose, he constructs a secret tunnel to allow access between his mansion and the house directly behind it. There, Faustus will have his workshop of make-up products to be able to supplant Mario. And Alejandra and Juan Jose?

They will share the secret of her uncle Mario and she will be in charge of the construction of the tunnel, and Juan Jose will see himself suddenly inheriting a fabulous fortune that will allow him not only to fight for the love of Alejandra, but to be united to Mario and Faustus in their audacious plan, since he also has a score to settle with the evildoer Adolfo.

Additionally, the Commander Leonardo Faidella will have an important role when investigating and discovering the illicit businesses of Adolfo. The confrontation that they will have with him will be a fundamental piece in the final outcome of this exciting and romantic history.

Dinero Friday August 27th - Love and other crimes

Gotta love those previews. I was so excited I was going to see Vicky in red lingerie, I almost went out and bought an HD TV. But as usual, it was all a shameless tease (like the last one, with Ale and Rafa kissing in the office). So what happened in the “real” world of Dinero?

Marino, Bebe and Ramirez (weird grouping, huh?) are talking in hushed tones under the dim blue light outside Rafa and Ale’s office (?). Mr. Edgar M. (should we call him Mr. Ed?) is stymied. How come he is the best salesman in the company, but that idiot Medina gets all the acclaim (todas las alabanzas)? Bebe explains that Ed may sell the most inside the showroom, but Rafa sells more outside, with his truck and fleet sales. Mr. Ed gets all red, starts blustering, and Ramirez shushes him (the captions say “shiiiit”, I’m not kidding!) All of a sudden Fast Eddie sees the light – he should start selling trucks. He praises Bebe as a genius, and goes off to put this newfound wisdom into practice. Bebe is flummoxed, asking Ramirez, why do we have to keep our voices so low? Because you’re so short, quips Rambowtie.

Jorge is really digging the scrumptious “Swedish” enchiladas prepared by Azucena. Marco wants Jorge to continue recounting what happened. Jorge starts counting, 1, 2, 3… Jorge’s in a playful mood, but the truth is, not only does he have no idea how much was in the Swiss bank account, he can’t remember where he put the account number (or password, maybe), and without that, they can’t access the account. He’s off to rest a bit, as Marco thought bubbles that he sure would like to know how much is in that account.

Jaime’s pitiful blue tent is zipped for the night, as Rafa arrives, drunk as a skunk, and knocks on the flap, asking if anyone’s home. He unzips said flap, only to be overwhelmed by Jaime’s day-old stench. Jaime also has a lit candle inside the tiny tent, apparently oblivious to the fire code (and how could he breathe in there?) Rafa is distraught. He saw Marco kissing Ale. Would it be a crime if he split the bum’s head into sections (si le parto su mandarina en gajos)? Jaime understands, he also misses Julieta terribly, and is going to camp out here until she forgives him. Drunk Rafa wonders if he should camp outside Ale’s, but Jaime doesn’t think this works with high rise buildings. The two commiserate, and Rafa finally forgives Jaime, even saying he’d kiss him, if it weren’t for Jaime’s overpowering b/o. No problem, Jaime kisses Rafa! Rafa blows out the candle, says happy birthday, and starts entering the tent to go to sleep. Jaime drags him to the door, where he fumbles with the keys before finally getting in, of course slamming the door in Jaime’s face. But Jaime is JUBILANT! Rafa has forgiven him.

Time for sex therapy! Marco is telling his problemita to the cute sexóloga,

how when he´s in bed with his wife, he sees this guy his wife knows in the bed with them, making fun of him! He even admits he’s slept with other women besides his wife, and the same thing happened. So what does he have? An emotional wound, which is impeding his sexual performance (desempeño sexual). He knows this, but how can he be cured.? Our experta says it’s a question of time, and it all depends on him. As she rises to get the door, we see our Romeo still has a wandering eye.

He laments that if he can’t somehow get Rafa away from Ale, curing himself won’t be easy.

It´s dinner time at Jiménez´s house. He arrives drunk, but happy because Doña Arcadia values him as an architect. But what’s this? His mother-in-law and father-in-law are at the table. More fumigation? Nah, they’re just visiting for the season (!) Anyway, Jiménez is sort of half happy, half sad. Happy about the architect thing, sad for his friend Rafa. What are you, his nanny (pilmama)? asks his wife. Mr. Jim proudly proclaims that the esteemed owner of Auto Siglo invited him to her birthday bash. He’s then informed that 1) he can’t go unless he invites his wife and in-laws, 2) he has to clean the table and do the dishes, and 3) he missed dinner. His feisty father-in-law then grabs the only remaining sleeping area. Ay Dios Mío!

The rooster sleeps, the rooster crows, another dawn, our excitement grows…

But not too much, for as yummy as the food looks on Leonor’s table, the mood is far less savory. Julieta complains about Jaime, everyone’s forgiving him, but she won’t, in fact she wants him to DIE, and remember, everyone, she’s the new Julieta, as she goes off to go to college and brush her teeth (that’s what she said :) Rafa tells his Ma he’s sad because La Licensiada got married, which Leonor didn’t even know, actually. That’s why Rafa got home late last light. He tried to drown his memories with drink, but he couldn’t.

Breakfast at Marco’s is a bit more refined, as the family asks Jorge what happened to Rubi and Manrique. Well, turns out they stayed in Switzerland. The bank wanted someone representing Jorge to stay, while Jorge returned home to look for where he wrote down the account number. Jorge asks Ale where is your mother? Ale is upset how far gone Jorge appears, tells her Daddy she’s in heaven, remember? No, no, he means the PAINTING of her. Oh, that’s in the bedroom. (I’m thinking the account number is behind the painting). Sadly, Jorge just wants to talk to his wife's picture, imploring her to help him remember where he wrote down the info, before he completely loses his memory.

Julieta’s off to school, but not before she pointedly stamps on Jaime’s tent.

Jaime lurches out, he’s really gotta pee! Inside he goes. Leonor thinks if Jaime doesn’t eat, he’ll get sick. No, corrects Rafa, He’s already sick. Heartsick. Just like me.

At the Jiménez home, the table is bare, but Ramiro is scouring the newspaper for a used computer, which he’ll need for his architect work. His henpecking hags hassle him, though, what do you want a computer for, to look at porn, you pig? No way, he sputters. It’s for….uh…the kids, for their homework! Well, says suegra, if THAT’S what it’s for, I’ll even lend you the money to buy a NEW one. For once, his wholly-rollered mom-in-law has Ramiro praising the Lord!

Jaime’s not so lucky, though. He’s rudely awakened from his House of Blues (the blue tent) by the bumbling cop duo, informing him he lacks a permit to camp on a public byway, and that a complaint has been filed against him for invasion of property, for stench (pestilencia) and for obstruction. He has to go to the station house. Wait a minute, replies Jaime. I’m a lawyer, I know my rights, this is just a peaceful demonstration. Fine, says the cop, but you need a permit for a demonstration. Where’s your permit? He starts to protest, but they drag him off, along with his tent (his chivas, or junk).

Jorge is distraught. He lost their country house, can’t remember why they’re in this apartment, and seems to be clutching his chest. Rosario sympathizes with him, saying he’s heartsick (as are many in tonight’s episode). Marco fears he really is having heart problems, should they go to the hospital?, but Jorge says it’s just an itch (un comezón). He’s been wondering why Ale and Marco aren’t on their honeymoon. They fumble with the answer, Ale finally saying she needs to work, they’re short on money, which only makes Jorge feel more guilty.

Jaime is unceremoniously dumped behind the bars, protesting all the way that he knows his rights, to which the cops reply, Ayayayayayay. After they leave, a mangy cellmate approaches, creepily kids Jaime, didn’t they give you your one telephone call? He then orders Jaime to STRIP!

Marco reassures Jorge, the delay with the honeymoon isn’t due to money, it’s for something else. ¿Qué? exclaim both Ale and Jorge. Well, umm, it’s, ummm, right, we wanted the church wedding first, that’s it. Really, says Jorge, I’m glad it wasn’t because of (he makes a hint with his nose). Ale doesn’t get it. Well, I hope it wasn’t because Marco “couldn’t”. Marco jumps up, outraged, of course that’s not it, I’m just a bit worried, about….about….the hacienda! We really should sell it. Ale’s flatly opposed, but Jorge thinks if they wait too long, the value could decline, and they won’t have enough to pay off the debt. Ale says let’s not rush things, we don’t even have an offer. But Marco thinks to himself, we just might have a buyer before you know it!

After the commercial, we see our prospective buyer, a white-haired gentleman talking to Chavez in the bar. Chavez tells him they need to use his name as a front for buying a property that’s very undervalued, and in bad shape. Whitey doesn’t buy this, and Chavez admits the property isn’t that bad, it’s a dairy farm, but some bum has really run it into the ground (wonder who). Again, Whitey knows Chavez is conning him, who’s really running the show, who really came up with this idea, you’re just a half-as*d con artist (una tranza de media pelo). You could never come up with something like this. If you want me to help, I need to talk to the real brains of your operation.

Rafa arrives at work in a pretty good mood, but immediately the phone rings, and it’s Jaime calling from jail, pleading for help. Rafa’s on his way. Enter Ale, it’s time for the sales meeting.

R: I can’t, I have a serious matter to take care of.
A: Did something happen? Is your Mamá okay?
R: Yes, yes, yes.
A: And your sister?
R: Her, too, they’re both okay.
A: Then it’s nothing serious, right?
R: No, the thing is, a friend of mine is in jail.
A: Hmmph. Why didn’t they just arrest YOU? I should have known. A “friend” of Señor Medina is detained for some crime.
R: Look, licensiada, what happened is my friend did commit a crime.
A: Sure.
R: ..of falling in love, and that’s a very painful crime, because for those of us who are in love, it’s very hard for us to forget the woman we love, although they don’t seem to care. Now please excuse me.

He walks out stiffly, leaving Ale visibly moved.

Over at Grupo Celeste, Marian’s working hard, but Daniel arrives, carrying a motorcycle helmet. He knows she likes cycles, let’s hit the road, right now. She thinks he’s nuts, she’s busy, but Chepis says she’ll hold down the fort, Marian should go enjoy herself. But she’s not dressed for that. No problem, they’ll go to her house first, and she can change. He won’t accept no for an answer. Bowing to the pressure from Daniel and Chepis, Marian agrees.

Dandy’s ready for his daily attempt to win back Susana. He notes that she rescued the book from the trash. He points out it really was hard to find this book, and there’s even a note inside from the author, written to Susana. She feigns disinterest, but after he leaves, she looks both ways, rips the wrapping paper off the book, and is enchanted by it. She sees a card on the back, and it reads “I drink accompanied only by your kisses, because I know that wine will take me with you before the goddesses. Although I’m just a man without shadow, and without reflection, you, divine Nonicita, with your wisdom, will carry me beyond the mountains to the end of winter.”

She smiles, kisses the card, hugs it to her chest, and slips it in her purse. Ahhhhhhh.

And off we go on a super moto aventura! Marian and Daniel don helmets, slip onto his powerful bike, and whoosh through the streets of Mexico City, seeing the buildings, the statues, the museums, sculptures both ancient and abstract, in an exciting montage, accompanied by a rockin’ beat. They end up in a picturesque restaurant, an elegant colonial building, where they enjoy their fine food and wine in the exterior gardens. Marian is intrigued – sometimes Daniel is insufferable, but when he wants to, he can be quite charming. He tells her that he’s always had strong feelings for her. When she was alone, he sort of took her for granted. But when he saw she was attracted to that salesman type, he didn’t want to lose her, and had to act. He’s serious in his feelings for her. But how can you be serious, she asks, when you go out with a different woman each day? He gazes straight into her eyes, and says he’s ready to leave behind a lifetime of adventures, just for her.

The Pantera pulls up to Casa Medina, and Jaime stumbles out, breathlessly voicing his eternal gratitude to Rafa, while vainly trying to extricate his behind from the seatbelt in which he’s tangled. Rafa urges Jaime to go home and take a bath, he smells like a lion on the loose (un león correteado). All of sudden, they recoil in horror as they hear a chilling shriek pierce the air. “Pajarito!”

Daniel and Marian are outside now, but where’s his moto? An attendant hands Daniel some keys. He tells Marian he would do anything for her. She might feel cold riding along the highway on a motorcycle, so he’s had this car brought over. He gestures towards a sleek silvery sports car.

A waiter brings champagne, and Daniel toasts their magnificent day. Salud! But what’s this? There’s a wooden case (estuche) on the waiter’s tray. What’s going on? she asks. What’s in the case? Why, the other keys to the car, he says gallantly. This car, my love, is for you. She notices a smaller box, which she opens to reveal a ring!

He steps close to her, looks deeply into her lovely eyes, and says, My love, Will you marry me?

(Wow! You could knock the girl over with a feather!)

And Monday looks like bikinis, bikinis, and…bikinis! It had better not be another dream!!!!!!

El Clon, Fri., August 27 - Summary for Discussion

Various parent children interactions - some good, some not.
Osvaldo is back but he's a jerk again.

The Chump turns up at Malicia's apartment and demands that she sign the papers. They have a long conversation in which Malicia twists everything the Chump says into an insult to her. He is not that smart and she is slippery as an eel and he ends up with nothing.

At the pool, Diana isn't having any better luck in trying to convince Pablo that Malicia isn't a wonderful person.

I don't think Fernando managed to quit drugs for 24 hours. He and the unlovely Paula are at the pool, too. She is telling him how Alej threw her out of his apartment. Fernando loses his sight momentarily. He is frightened. Paula laughs it off and says that it is 'un apagón,' a power cut because he smoked too many 'porros,' joints. She says that it will pass and it does.

Carolina apologetically tells Clara that Fernando is through as an intern (practicante). She's given him many chances already. If she gives him more, she will lose her authority over the other interns. Clara understands.

Tío Abdul scolds Amin for ogling Karla. Gloria comes to the shop to buy a veil. Abdul is curt and sends Amin to help her but he is lusting after her in his heart.

Malicia hands the Chump a folder with the transfer documents and gets him to apologize to her for mistrusting her. She first tells him to check the document and when he starts to open the folder, she tells him to leave her alone. When he protests, she says that if he loves her, he will respect her need to be alone. Outmaneuvered again, the Chump has no choice but to leave.

Roberto tells Clara the good news the Chump has told him that Malicia has signed the transfer documents.

Miguel goes to see Osvaldo in prison to tell him that he has gotten the money for a lawyer to get him out of jail. Osvaldo is grateful and says that he knew his only friend wouldn't abandon him. Miguel tells Osvi that he can't understand why he looked at other women when he had Dora. Surprised, Osvaldo says that, 'Aunque Dora sea la principal, ¡un hombre siempre necesita dos sucursales! para no perderle la sabor a la vida,' Even though Dora is his main squeeze, a man needs a couple of girls on the side (literally, branches) so as not to lose his zest for life. He claims that it is the nature of men to do this. He says that when he gets out, he will go after the Naz and then take vengeance on Karla and then reconquer Dora. Miguel is disgusted and says that he won't visit him again. Osvaldo finally twigs that Miguel is interested in Dora. He is furious and swears that he will kill them both. Miguel tells him not to worry. He has already paid the lawyer.

Zoraida urges Jade to go back to Zein. Same old, same old, Jade blames Lucas for everything. Zoraida tells Jade that Mohamed doesn't want her back at his house. He is going to tell Ali not to bring her when he visits the States. Zoraida thinks that if Jade stays with Zein, Said might be persuaded to let her see Jadiya. Jade has another plan. She will wait for Jadiya outside her school. Zoraida urges her not to do it but we all know how effective that is.

Said is still fondling and smelling a veil of Jade's and remembering her begging him to take her back. Rania comes in and Said tries to hide the veil but Rania takes it and claims that Jade gave it to her.

Amina approves of what Rania did. Rania says that she will wear the veil all the time. Said may think of Jade when he sees it but little by little those thoughts will be mixed with thoughts of her.

Marisa tells Lucas that Nati stole her cell phone and money from her purse. Lucas replies that the situation is serious. Marisa agrees and tells him that she doesn't know what to do. She says that Nati wasn't like that. She has been transformed into a different person - a liar and a thief. Lucas say that he will talk to Nati.

Julio tells Anita that he is very confused about the Albieri situation. He says that what Albieri did was wrong but he doesn't deserve to go to jail. Anita speaks for us all when she says that what bothers her most about the situation is, '¡Que se lo haya hecho a Dora! ¿Por qué no alquiló un vientre para su experimento? Por qué hacerlo con una mujer que lo único que ha hecho toda su vida, es añorar un hijo, y que renunció a todo por el?' What he has done to Dora. Why didn't he rent a womb for his experiments? Why did he do this to a woman whose life was dominated by the desire for a child and who gave up everything for that? Julio tells Anita that he agrees with her but reporting Albieri to the authorities would mean the end of Albieri's career and of his clinic. Everyone would be investigated as possible collaborators. Everyone would lose, including him.

Roberto comes to get the transfer document from the Chump and he demonstrates that he really is one. Malicia has not signed the transfer. Roberto can't believe that the Chump never even looked in the folder to see if Malicia had signed it. Roberto speaks for us all when he says, '¡Compraste un apartamento con los ahorros de Clarita! ¡Hemos movido mar y tierra para poder legalizar ese traspaso! Te da un poder... y tú ni lo revisas. ¿Qué te está pasando, Raul?' You bought an apartment with Clarita's savings. We have been moving heaven and earth to be able to legalize the transfer. She gives you a transfer document and you don't even look at it. What is with you, Raul?

Vicki and Pedro come up on Malicia and Pablo making out on the beach. Vicki is cold and Pablo wonders what is up with her. Malicia tells him that she is sure that Cristina is filling her head with lies about her.

Lucas tells Rosa that he is going out to get Nati to give back the money she took from Marisa. Rosa asks Lucas to go easy on Nati. [These people just don't get it.]

Lucia calls Marisa and can tell from her voice that she has been crying. Marisa lies and says that she has a little cold but everything is ok. Lucia wants to know what is going on between Leo and his son [I assume she means Daniel here.] Marisa says that she will call Lucia later and doesn't want to go to a private fashion show (desfile privada). Lucia can't beleive her ears. She says that isn't Marisa.

Nati is high and at the mall looking for Paula. She runs into Andrea. Andrea wants to take her to the rehab clinic but Nati says that she isn't sick.

Its the same party as always with the same music, this time for Rania's birthday. Latifa, dressed in saffron like the Hari Krishnas that used to hang out airports, catches Zamira talking on the phone to Carlos. After obtaining Latifa's promise not to get angry and to help her, Zamira confesses that Carlos is her boyfriend. Latifa is impactada. She tells Zamira that she can't fall in love because she is engaged to a boy in Morocco. Zamira replies that she refuses to marry the man that her father chose. Latifa repeats that Zamira can't fall in love, 'Nosotros, los musulmanes no nos podemos andar enamorado así como así antes del casamiento,' Muslims like us don't fall in love that way before marriage. Zamira replies that Carlos is in love with her. 'Lo que es haraam allá, aquí no lo es,' What is forbidden there, isn't forbidden here.
Latifa is destrozada.

Luisa wants Albieri to talk to Daniel before he finds out that he is a clone from someone else. She can't imagine how she would react if she was told that she was a clone. Albieri can't understand her concern. Daniel is a healthy human being, no different than anyone else. Luisa wonders if that will be the case after he finds out where he came from. Albieri replies that he will be fine as long as everyone stops looking at him like an extraterrestrial. Father Andres comes over and announces that Ali is coming as well and they have to talk.

Lucas comes to Nati's house and tells her that she has to give the money back that she took from Marisa's purse. Nati flies into a rage and accuses Marisa of inventing the theft. When Lucas says that he just wants her to get better so she can go back to school, Nati claims that she is back in school but has no money to buy books or a meal. She screams that she can't stand the pressure of being accused of theft and drug addiction and tells Lucas to leave her in peace. Alej asks Lucas to leave so he can calm Nati down. Nati tells Alej that she is suffering. Alej replies that he knows she needs love and affection but she has to help him a little.

PSA - Enrique stole stuff from his family.

Jade finds Jadiya in her school. She tells her that she never abandoned her. Jadiya asks if it is true that she is in love with a Westerner. Jade tells Jadiya that she left the Westerner when Jadiya was born and she would do it a thousand times more to be with her. She tells Jadiya that she tried to get Said to take her back but he refused and now Tío Ali wants to take her to Fez and she may never see her again. Jadiya hesitates and then embraces her mother.

The credits roll.

Episode #134 08/27/2010 134 down and 1 to go Ren is dead and still no comeupance for the bad guys.

Ok here we are in the final stretch of this inconsistent roller coaster called Corazon Salvaje. I would like to thank all the recapers and commenter s who dedicated the time to this master piece. Thank you for giving me the opportunity of doing this with all of you. My special thanks to Jeri for all her help and patience and Connie for taking the time to make the beautiful ornaments. Once again muchas gracias

Ren and Arca are fighting and we all know how that ends. I'm sure Reggie is now thinking why didn't I stay resting as the Dr wanted me to

At the triple's weeding party Noel feels a stab in his heart. Mari asks him what is wrong. Noel says I don't know I just feel a pain in my heart. Mari says maybe it was because you were dancing. Arca once more escapes. Arca flights on Ren's horse. Ren ask. Reggie is asking him to conserve his strength, but Ren knows this is the end and he's not afraid. Reggie wants to help him get up. Juan is running with no shoes. He goes in the river to cross it; he falls

Arca is at Leo's. Leo asks him why is he there? she is afraid Ren might come in at any moment and see him. Araca says don't worry he won't be coming. Arca tells her they have to get the hell out of doge because the Sheriff has the finca under surveillance. Leo says it might be Breton. He's onto us. They decide tonight is the night. Arca leaves and Leo goes to pack.

Juan has crossed the river and continues running.

Reggie is still crying and asking Ren to help her help him. I thought he was a goner. But he is not. He opens his eyes and tells Reggie he'll love her for eternity. Now I think he's gone. Nope, no yet. Reggie continues with her crying fest.Ren says he's getting cold. Reggie covers him with her head piece. Ren wishes he can go back in time, they would've been happy. Reggie tells him not to think anymore in what ifs. Ren tells her how grateful he is she loved him once again he asks for her forgiveness. Reggie is telling him he's going to get better. At that moment we hear Juan calling Reggie. He runs to her asks her what happened. Reggie informs him Arca attach Ren and he's dying. Juan tries to help him up, but Ren says don't bother, I'm dying. Juan says don't say that. Ren says I'm happy you are here because I want to ask for your forgiveness also. Juan not you forgive me for causing you so much pain. Ren says I'm about to die and I hope you are OK with Reggie having me in her arms. Juan says you are not going to die. Ren says I always dreamed to be in your arms Reggie, but I never thought it was going to be in this circumstances. Ren says to Juan Reggie is yours all yours. Juan says this is not what I wanted it was not a matter of winning or losing. Juan tries again to help Ren. But Ren refuses saying his life is slipping away and he wants to die there with them two. Ren says he know he was a fool by trying to separate them. Again he asks for Reggie's forgiveness. At last he recognizes Juan is his cousin. Ren gives them his blessing and asks them to promise him they are going to be happy. He asks god to take his soul. Ok enough die already! I think he did because his head went limp.

Arca is a Rod's digs telling him that Leo wants to move their departure closer. Arca asks Rod for his payment. I'll love to see Rod's face when he realizes hi money is gone. Anyways Rod tells Arca OK I'll pay you but first things first. We have to get rid of the bastard. I'll also love to see his face when he realizes the bastard is gone. It seem Rod is losing everything. Rod tells Arca to go ahead because he doesn't want to be seen with Arca in town. Arca says fine but remember Leo can arrive there at any moment. Rod to himself "aah Leo what a big surprise I have in store for you.

Back to Juan, Reggie, and Ren. Juan and Reggie are trying to wake him. Reggie is crying. Gawd that woman can cry. Juan tells her to settle down because Ren is dead. Juan is asking Ren for forgiveness and blaming himself of Ren's downfall. More crying.

Uh oh, Arca is at he catacombs calling out Juan's name. He is very surprised to see Juan is not longer captive. He then says he couldn't care less. He's going to get ready to leave. Rod walks in and when he realizes Juan is not there. He pulls his gun out and asks Arca where is Juan. He thinks Arca betrayed him. Arca says I don't know things where this way when I got here. But, I can't understand how he broke the beam. Rod says now I won't be able to punish el maldito bastardo. Arca asks for his money. Rod says I didn't bring it. I'll bring ti later. Arca says remember Leo would be here at any moment. Rod is very pensive.

Doctor Pablo arrives at the scene of the crime. Reggie is asking Pablo to look at Ren and tell them that Ren is fine. Pablo tells them he's dead. As if we didn't know that already. Reggie says, my godfather needs to know this. Juan says I'll tell him. Pablo tells Juan to stay with Reggie and Pablo goes to tell Noel.

Reggie asks Juan what happened to him Juan says don't worry about me. How are you and the baby. Reggie says she is fine. Then she starts to talk to Ren's corpse.

BAck at the party, the three couple are dancing and everyone is happy. Not for long though. Jacinta is dancing with Colibri, Pedro, Eusebio, a lot of vivan los novios and applause ensue. Pablo arrives with the bad news. He tells Noel and they leave without telling anybody.

Rod is back home. Man, that man is really fast. He goes from one place to another at the speed of light. He's thinking to himself how expensive Arca's help would be. But the price would be worth. I want to fulfill my vengeance on Leo for the mistreatment she gave MRD for all those years. Rod is walking towards the safe. He's about to find out he's penniless. He opens the safe and finds nothing. He calls the servant and asks him who came to the house and enter his bedroom. She tells him la senora Leonarda.

Leo is arriving at the catacombs with the bag full of money. She can't hardly lift it. Arca comes in asks her if she needs his help. She says no. Arca says at this stage of the game you still don't trust me? He wants to put the money in a secure place. Arca wants her to go in the room where MDR and then Juan were. Leo says she doesn't want to because she is afraid of that place. Arca puts her in the room and then leaves and closes the door. He tells her if someone ever comes here just tell them I kidnapped you. She begs him to let her out, but he takes off probably with the bag of money.

The party is still on. Phillipe is dancing with one of the entertainers. I guess is supposed to be funny, his wig falls off and every time he tries to pick it up the dancer steps on it. big deal.

Arca is giving himslef pats on the back. He is a genious. He opesn the with the loo. He's ready to leave, but before he's going to leave a note for someone to punish the MDO. He puts the bag on the loo in a coffre and leaves.

Noel arrives at the scene where Ren is. Juan and Reggie are still crying. Poor Noel, he is crying and telling his son that his departure leaves him in the deepest abyss. There's nothing left for a parent when a child dies. There's nothing more for me to fight for, there's no future for me anymore. He's asking Ren why he abandon him why? a lot of porques... I wan to die to be always with you. Juan and Reggie are trying to comfort him. He wants to die with his son. Juan and Reggie tell him how much they need him. Noel thinks he was a failure as a father because he couln't change Ren's mind. More perdonames...

Mari is looking for Neol. Her mother is telling her to calm down maybe Noel went to take a leak. Mari says no he wouldn't da that without telling. Of course they didn't say that. They say probably something came up and he had to leave. Mari says if that was the case he would've not leave without telling me. Don Alberto says your mother is right, you'll see he'll be back in no time. Mari says you are right. I won't spoil on of the best days of my life. then she goes to interrupt the newlyweds that for a change are kissing, to tell wish them a lot of happiness and give them her blessing. Now that I think of it their weeding anniversary an the anniversary of Ren's dead are going to be the same.

Noel is at home commiserating and saying that Ren was his only reason fro living. Rod walks in and gives Noel his condolences. Rod put his hand on Noels shoulder but Noel pulls away. Ros tells Noel how sorry he is about Ren's demise. Rod tells Noel he understand perfectly because they both have lose a child and this is not time to harboring rancor. Rod wants to give Noel a hug. Noel tells Rod, you are right this is no the time to harbor rancor, but is not the time for hypocrisies either. Rod says I know you are hurt I won't take your words to hart. Rod is leaving but before he does, he turn around and ask Noel where Leo is. Noel says Leo, Leo I hope god forgives her. I don't know. Only god know where she is. The only thing I know is that she should be here accompanying her only child in his dead bed.

Arca is at the finca leaving that letter he wrote on top of one of the covered furniture. He just hopes Rod comes back soon because he has to leave soon before is found out that he killed el senorito Renato.

Rod is still talking about how estrange Leo's absence is in this terrible situation. She should be here, we all know how much she loved her son, unless... Then Rod feing he had a second thought and says no I don't think Leo would have that much fear to leave like that. Noel asks fear, fear of what? Explain yourself. Rod says well as you know Arca is back and you know how unconditional he was to her. Maybe Leo she escaped with him. Noel asks and why would she do that. Rod says because Captain Breton suspects Leo killed Brigitte. Noel says Leo an assassin? I don't want to believe it but evidences condemn her. Yes it might be possible Clem told me that terrible secret. Leo poisoned Constanza, Reggie and Aimee's mother, your wife Rod, your wife. Rod is very surprised at the news

Juan and Reggie are back home, hugging and crying. Reggie says she's going to change her clothes to go and be with Noel, because he needs her now. Juan says alright you do that. He says I'll go with you, but I don't want to cause any trouble, your aunt Leo might get upset with my presence. Reggie says you are right. you better go and meet Pedro and co. Today was the weeding of all our friends and the best wedding present is going to be seeing you alive. He says OK they I have to take a bath and change my clothes because I can't just make my appearance looking like this. Any volunteer to scrub his back? I'll take one for the team and it. Reggie tells him how happy she is because he is back, even under the circumstances, I'm very happy. Her lips are saying something but her face is saying something else. She tells him how much she loves him and thanks God for bringing him back. They hug again. Just a thought, since they both have to take a bath why don't they do it together to save some time, I'll do it in a heart beat. Heck they have until Monday night because the episode ended.

A little disappointed, they are going to jam pack the demise of all the bad cats and the happily ever after in one episode. They had 135 episodes to do that and they decided to do it in the last 40 minutes. One last thing... Where the hell is De Marin?

CS 8-26-10 The Novios Are Coming! The Novios Are Coming!

On this, my last night to recap CS, did I get an exciting episode filled with madness and mayhem? Death and destruction? No. I got about 5 minutes of good action and the rest is flashbacks and filler. But for all my readers in Viewerville I will do my best to make this enjoyable.

Disclaimer: Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am not responsible for how boring this episode was, for Leo’s ugly dress, or for the rat in the bucket.

Juan is chained to the ceiling and Rod is teasing him with the whip. Beat me Big Daddy! Come on! Too bad he just can’t get behind Rod and get him in a sleeper hold. He’s tall enough to do it. Me, I’d have to stand on a chair and that would kind of ruin the surprise. Rod leaves and locks him in his cell. He keeps trying to get loose.

Over at De Marin’s, JimAngela is so happy to think that she will be married to Gabe by tomorrow. They talk about everybody being happy. She’s sad when she thinks about Juan Mari reminds her that Gabe is suffering also.

Gabe is on the beach practicing his sword fighting and freaking out his horse. He stabs the sand. Tomorrow he gets married but his friend/father figure/boss is not at his side. He looks determined and pissed off.

Santos is on the beach looking out to sea. He looks very sad also. Jacinta sees him and tells him not to be sad because they are about to marry. He says yes but he is sad because Juan won’t be with them. He is always with us. His heart is always with us. Santos cries.

Juan is doing pull-ups in his cell. No wait, he’s trying to escape. My mistake. Somebody bellows his name. It’s Rod. He’s just checking to see if Juan’s accommodations are to his liking. No, that’s not it. He’s going to enjoy Juan’s suffering. You don’t know how much. Juan calls him a coward. Rod gets all warmed up. He uses that whip like a girlie-man. I’m so afraid. Gabriella from FELS makes Rod look like a girl scout.

Regina is sitting up in bed looking pretty in pink. She remembers back to when they were forced to get married. She remembers the wedding day. Flashbacks from the ship. She realizes that she has loved him all this time. She kisses her ring remembering her first kiss with Juan and all her other kisses after that. She says you can’t be dead. You can’t abandon me.

Back at the Finca Rod is finished with his flogging. Juan insults Rod and Rod insults his father. Juan gets all lathered up and says don’t insult my dad. Juan says you never accepted that my mom could love someone besides you. That I am their son. Rod hits him. That rat in the bucket disturbs me. Your daughter is expecting my child. Rod smacks him again. It will be a bastard. Regina will never return to you. Still the rat. Ewww!

It’s a dark and stormy night. Arcadio is still pacing at the finca. Where is that woman? Leo shows up and said she had to get the jewels. Arcadio tells her everything is ready for tomorrow. He escorts her to the dungeon.

Juan is still trying to get loose. He’s trying to pull the beam down to get his hands free. Good idea. He thinks of Regina and works harder to get himself free. He has flashbacks of Regina. The night she told him he could sleep with her. Their first night of passion. He thinks that she has to know that he is still alive.

Over at the doctors, Pablo doesn’t think it is wise for Regina to go to the weddings. She begs to go to the religious ceremony. She wants to be there since Juan can’t. She has faith that he will return. She says they should all be happy because that is what Juan would want.

Over at Renato’s he’s talking to himself. I can’t look at Regina because Juan is not back. I’m not convinced that Juan is dead. He flashes back to the sword fight on Penon del Diablo. Regina’s son will be a bastard.

Down in the dungeon Rod is trying to convince Juan that he loved MdR with all his heart. You don’t know love. I continue loving her. If you love my mother as much as you say then why are you such a pain in everyone’s ass? When your mother decided on another it changed my whole life. It made me what I am. For the first time I’m speaking the truth. Really? I love her more than my own life.

The next day everyone is gathering for the big event. Did I see Fully? Noel is going on about the ceremony and how great it was. Mari agrees. Colibri announces the novios are coming! The three couples appear in boats. Everyone looks so awesome. Pedro gives a toast to all the couples but especially to Juan who he knows is with them on this special day. Let’s start the music. There is a huge cheer for that. Music and dancing begins.

Over at Renato’s he drunk again. Leo comes home and blasts him for always being drunk. She makes him take a look at himself in the mirror. He sure looks like hell. But he did come back from the dead so maybe she should cut him some slack. If’s he’s going to redeem himself he better get a move-on. Only two more episodes to go. He starts to take a drink but pauses. Dramatic music plays in the background. He must have heard me. He turns and looks in the mirror again. He throws his drink at it. Do you know how many dumpster diving trips it would take me to find a mirror that awesome? Geez!

Back to the party. Snore FF>> Noel is singing FF>> for real. Everybody is laughing at him. Oh the horror! Make it stop! FF>>x2

Renato comes down fresh as a daisy. I hear the Rocky theme song playing in my head. He looks at himself in the mirror that he ruined and thinks that she will see him as the Renato he was before.

Back at the fiesta Eusabio and Pedro are acting like the 3 stooges minus one. Noel gets asked to dance. I’m not even going to comment on that. More FF>>

Back to Rod and Juan in the dungeon. (Thank Gawd!) I think Rod’s losing his mind. He just keeps talking but not really to Juan. He keeps talking about how beautiful MdR was and how rotten Juan’s father was. Yeah, yeah, we’ve heard it all before. Juan tries to get through to him. To tell Regina that he is still alive. She’s very fragile. She might lose our child. Oh yeah, I’m sure that’s going to happen. I think Rod is about one brick shy of a load at this point.

Back to the party. Man, I’m getting whiplash. Each new husband tells their new wife how much they love them. Each bride looks beautiful and each groom looks handsome. Except maybe for Santos who looks better but the jury is still out on that one. Smoochies all around.

Over at Pablo’s Regina is still trying to convice him that she feels great and wants to go to the party. He wants her to get back in bed and rest. Party pooper. The doc leaves. Regina says screw this, and gets out of bed and covers her head with a shawl. Because for sure nobody will recognize her.

Renato is riding his horse through the countryside.

Arcadio is pacing and thinking that he needs a bottle of something.

Pablo comes back to check on Regina and sees that the bird has flown the coop. What did you expect anyway? She left. She must have gone to the wedding party. Really? You don’t say? Duh!

Arcadio is doing what he does best--lurking. He sees Regina walk by. He sneaks up behind Regina and grabs her. Bastard! He throws her to the ground and yells at her about what a bad woman she is. He straddles her and holds her on the ground. He smacks her. Where did that come from?

Juan is still trying to have a rational conversation with Rod. He’s still trying to convince Rod that he needs to see Regina. He calls the finca the house of death. Rod pulls out a gun. He’s not going to be happy until Juan is dead.

Back to Arcadio who is trying to rape Regina. Where’s Renato?

Rod is still taunting Juan in the dungeon. He’s pondering if he should shoot him or leave him in is own hell.

Finally the Lone Ranger shows up and pops Arcadio a good one. Regina is a mess. Renato tells him to fight like a man. Arcadio pulls out a knife. Renato manages to get it away from him. He goes to Regina. Don’t turn your back, don’t turn your back! Arcadio has another knife, and who wouldn’t? I always carry a spare in my pantyhose. Arcadio grabs Renato and stabs him a couple of times. He’s down. End. See what I mean?

Llena de Amor #14 Thu 8/26/10 Her night starts with a big snake in the bed and ends with a little snake in the bed

Once more, a huge thanks to Julia for filling in for my and others' recap nights. Julia, you rock!

Last night we left Mari in bed terrorized by a snake. No, it’s nobody we know, it’s a real live snake meant to scare her out of the house. She screams for help, “Auxilio!!” and luckily the first one to arrive, ripping himself from Ilitia’s clutches, is her beloved Emanuel. The rest of the household follows and we wait friggin’ FOREVER for Eman to finally grab the snake which, by the way, magically disappears.

During the fracas Ilitia tries to steal Mari’s diary but Delicia the nice maid catches her and rescues the book. Curses, foiled again. The mean people scowl at Mari and the nice people (Alex, Gretel, Delicia, Eman and Emilio) try to soothe her. Delicia manages to snatch the diary from Eman’s prying hands and skedaddle out of the room with it before Ilitia can do any damage.

Speaking of mean, the Queen of it, Fedra, has slithered over to Netty’s to pay a little visit. She insults Netty’s house by calling it a pigsty and Brandon makes an empty threat that he’ll teach her a lesson. All the others jump in but Fedra isn’t dissuaded by their anemic posturing. While the others shake their fists Netty tells Fedra to spill her guts. If she’s not there to accuse Brandon of attempting to murder her son what is she there for?

Meanwhile Señora Muñeca sits alone at the dinner table sighing and facing her husband’s empty chair. Suddenly he bursts into the house exclaiming about the great aroma. He’s starving! “Whazzup? It’s cold,” he tells his stern-faced wife and her dissaproving maid. The maid points out that dinner was served an hour ago, about the same amount of time his wife has been waiting. I guess we know whose side she’s on. Muñeca wants to know where he’s been and don’t lie that he was at the office because Carmen said he left more than an hour ago. He gets very loud and defensive as guilty people do but Muñeca won’t play along. She tells him to calm down while his meal gets heated up and she’ll be in the bedroom if he’s interested in heating up their marriage. Wow. Lorenzo is impactado and the point goes to Muñeca.

Back at Hell House Emanuel forces Ilitia to make nice with Mari and apologize for spilling her soup. Ilitia acts sincere, Mari falls for it and somehow expects that they will be friends. Ilitia has a little surprise for Mari. I’ll bet.

Muñeca thumbs through a picture album longing for the days when Lorenzo was dedicated to her. “Remember how happy we were?” she asks her fake-exhausted husband. He sits next to her, sees a pic of Kristen as a baby and recalls his most recently revealed baby-mama, gah!!

Grandpa waves his gun around and tells Benigno he knows it was Fedra who put the snake in Mari’s bed. He’s going to kill her like a rat which he should have done the first day she set foot in the house! Sadly (for us) Beni wrestles the gun away from him but gramps swears if Fedra annoys Mari anymore he’ll kill her. Maybe, but it’s gonna be a while.

Back at Netty’s the expected conversation takes place...
F: “Your sis was a drunk.”
N: “Don’t insult her memory. I will protect my niece!”
F: smirks
N: “Mari will get her inheritance and kick your butt out of HER house.”
F: “You don’t know the truth about her inheritance. Just wait until you find out and in the meantime stay out of my way or else.”
Honestly, I don’t know why they let that witch walk all over them except that maybe Netty is paralyzed by Fedra’s butt-ugly Medusa head.

Oliver tells Brandon that he’s totally got the hots for Axel’s sister.

Gretel warns Axel about fighting with the homophobic Chris Cooper-guy dirtbag and Axel wants to know if that policeman tried to take advantage of her. Gretel freaks us all out, especially Axel, by smiling. She denies it and he asks her why doesn’t she obsess about love like other girls her age. She sez she could ask him the same thing. She’ll guard his secrets; is it true what they say about him? That he doesn’t like women?

Eman’s model friend Andre and his squeeze du jour Rebecca show up; Delicia the nice maid scolds Eman for getting out of bed. Eman doesn’t know Rebecca’s name so we know she’s just a fling and can easily get tossed for a more meaningful relationship with Doris later on down the line.

Mauricio and Kristel have villain foreplay, i.e. smooching while planning tortures for La Gorda. They are interrupted by Ilitia and Mari knocking at the door. Maricio is not happy about being given the bum’s rush but since Mari is practically a nun Kristel pushes said bum into the closet. Mau peeks through the closet while Mari’s two “pals” surprise her with some new clothing. Thank Goodness!! Oh wait, consider the source. Mari doesn’t like the look and tells them she’d rather look like a nun than pregnant. “You already look pregnant,” they giggle. Bitches. They grab some scissors and begin cutting her uniform off while Mau gapes from his hiding place. And gapes. And gapes some more.

Andre and Eman yuck it up while the squeeze is in the baño. Heh heh Eman almost called her Raquel, that was Andre’s last fling. OK WE GET IT, Andre is a player just dying to be converted by the love of a good woman. Yeah, that always works out.

Doris kisses a magazine cover of Andre and tells it she knows he probably has lots of women after him but she’s determined to have him in her arms. “Come to me Andre,” she swoons, smothering a teddy bear.

Fedra comes home and bitches out Eman for being out of bed and having a drink. He jumps in with a preemptive strike, “We found a snake in Mari’s bed and I know you put it there. Don’t lie.” Andre and Rebecca beat feet out of Casa Cuckoo so Eman can continue his accusations and Fedra can predictably lie her way out of it.

Did I miss something? All of a sudden Lorenzo and Muñeca are talking about Eman getting hit by a car. I guess Ilitia called them. They are still fully clothed so we see Lorenzo was saved yet again from making hot bad boy Luv to his wife. Muñeca plaintively asks him what’s up with him? He’s saved by the bell. Uh oh, it’s his baby-mama on the phone and she's very insistent. Muñeca hands the phone over, “it’s a woman, she says it’s your lover.” Busted!

The three maids gossip and argue about Fedra vs. Marianela. Nereida sees the diary and grabs it but Delicia snatches it back. Oh my, the suspense surrounding this diary is simply killing me. I hope it lasts forever. Oh right, it will.

Lorenzo grabs the phone and tries the “This is a decent house and quit making these prank calls!” act. Muñeca pleads with him to promise her he’s not cheating, “Promise me everything is OK!” She has to ask? Really? And he keeps denying he’s a cheat? Really?

Over at Netty’s happy house of well-adjusted but manless buttinskies her pals are telling her she needs a man. Netty insists her life is perfectly fine sin hombres. They somehow think a man will help her protect Mari. Suddenly the lights go out and the ladies gasp. Oh what a fright, see how handy a man would be? Does anyone know how to say “oh gag me” in Spanish?

Shoot, aren’t we done with Lorenzo and Muñeca yet? In short: Deny. Accuse. Promise. Plead. Lie. “Don’t touch me! You’ll be sorry!” Then the maid jumps in with “What do you expect Dude? You really screwed up this time.” I love how the maids are incredibly cheeky in this show.

Cut to Muñeca insulting herself in the mirror and putting lipstick all over her face. Ah jeez. She pulls out a pair of scissors. Lorenzo bashes the door down and they find her sprawled on the floor.

Benigno is tying off Gramps’s vein. I wonder what’s up with that? Sick I guess. Gramps insists Fedra is guilty and he’s going to prove it. I hope I get this right: Luis-Felipe told gramps he was going to kick Fedra out of the house because he discovered something. He promised he was going to get rid of her but died before he could fulfill his promise. Now Gramps wants to out Fedra before she can harm Mariela. Benigno aks his Imperial Falcon to tell him what he can do to help. “The Silver Iris” mutters Gramps. (Please feel to add or correct anything about this very important clue. Thank you.)

The two harpies have finished their work on Mari and they snicker and insist she looks awesomely beautiful. They leave and our poor heroine sees her over madeup face in the mirror. Truly not a good look. She begins to wipe her face when the towel-clad cad slips out of the closet.

Netty’s house is still dark but is happily filled with the entire family. But their cheerful dinner is interrupted by creepy music and the appearance of a strange, dark-haired woman who ominously asks if this is the place that rents rooms.

Mauricio taunts Mari by grabbing her, kissing her, and throwing her on the bed. He says he’s hot to know what a body like hers feels like. Watching her change made his mouth water. OK, I am now thoroughly creeped out by this horn dog and so is Mari. She tries to break free but he locks the door and says he’s the one who’s going to give her a little gift. Yep, he definitely said little, heh, and I’m sure he's not lying either.

El Clon Thursday August 26: Summary for Discussion

Capítulo 136: Family Secrets
-- Honey, there’s something you need to know – your father has a clone.
-- (Yawn) …and they say I’m the one on drugs.

Marisa is gazing idly out the window when she sees something that defies belief. She calls out to Rosa: Is that Lucas? It’s him, it’s Diego, Rosa tells her triumphantly and she rushes down to invite Daniel inside.

Across town, Alejandro and Natalia continue to sing their same sad song. She promises it will never, ever happen again, cross my heart and hope to die. He tells her it is her absolute pinkie-swear last chance.

Once inside Casa Ferrer, Daniel is formally introduced to Marisa. They stare at one another and she backs away. Daniel asks Rosa why everyone is afraid of him. She babbles happily as if she were talking to Diego: Do you remember how you crawled in the livingroom when you were a toddler? See that vase – you broke it twice! Come have some of your favorite cake!

At Gloria’s, that very lady is speaking for us all. She reminds Alejandro that any addict who wants to get better has to do something active towards recovery, has to ask for professional help. And that’s something Natalia is not willing to do. Alejandro is not a nurse or doctor or therapist. He can’t help Nati, but Nati can destroy his dreams. And the next time Gloria sees Natalia doing drugs, she’s going to hand her over to her own mother, la cabeza de fósforo (the match head).

We see Natalia alone in the apartment, moving languidly, maybe cleaning up.

Alejandro walks sadly down the street.

Daniel is still inside Casa Ferrer, now alone with Marisa. She touches his arm, then his face; the two are drawn to one another. Eres tan bonita, says Daniel. They begin to kiss when a scandalized Rosa enters and cries out: You can’t kiss her! She’s your sister-in-law! Daniel doesn’t understand. He knows he had a brother named Diego and that he died. Now he learns that Diego has a surviving twin, Lucas, and he will soon meet him. Rosa wants to get Enrique, the reincarnation specialist, there for the meeting.

For his part, Enrique, at Empresas Ferrer, is still burned because Leo asked for Roberto’s help instead of his in arranging to adopt Daniel. So he tells Carolina to call Casa Ferrer and tell them he can’t make it.

Anita catches sight of Pablo and Malicia kissing at a beach club.

At Albieri’s Clinic, Escobar is calling Malicia and getting no answer. Mostró los garros, verdad? (She showed her claws, huh?) remarks Julio. He tells Escobar that even though Malicia acted like a good person when she worked at the clinic, the truth is that none of them, not even Luisa, really knew her.

Dora is home with Daniel when she takes a call from Dra Silvia. The women agree that they need to talk.

Silvia is shown calling from Albieri’s house in his and Luisa’s presence. Silvia declares her intention of informing the FDA about Albieri. Luisa does her mother tigress act on Albi’s behalf. But what finally deters Silvia is the thought of the terrible invasion of Dora’s and Daniel’s privacy that such exposure would entail. She says she will give the information to Dora and let her decide what to do about it. As soon as Silvia leaves, Albieri rants about the absurdity of weighing the happiness of someone like Dora against the greatness of his accomplishment.

At Casa Ferrer, Marisa tells Lucas: Te vi, Lucas, vi a tu clon. (I saw you, Lucas, I saw your clone!) It was very strange – he’s twenty years younger, but it’s you, it’s your clone!

It seems that Zoraida has a new magical coffee cup and is in Latifa’s kitchen reading the grounds for Jade. She tells her she’ll have to decide whether to follow him (Lucas) or the shadow. But what will happen? Jade wants to know. Alas, Zoraida has no answers. Latifa interrupts their conversation to announce that Jade has a visitor. It is everyone’s favorite blue-eyed Arab, Zein, come to ask her to reconsider. He would like her to give him the six-months they agreed upon. If it doesn’t work out, she’s a free woman. Tío Alí asks Zein to let Jade have 24 hours to think about it.

After Zein leaves, Alí does his best to convince Jade to accept Zein’s offer. While Alí would gladly take her back, he knows she’d be unhappy in his house. Nor would she be happy as the third or fourth wife of an elderly widower.

Said finds a gold-colored veil that Jade left behind at his house and Jadiya sees him clutching it sadly. She tells him again that since her mother doesn’t love her, she doesn’t love her mother.

Mohamed, Latifa and Samira are at home talking about Jade. Latifa reminds them that she and Jade are like sisters. Mohamed angrily declares that he doesn’t even want to hear her name mentioned in his house.

Cristina shows up in Leonardo’s office. I heard you wanted to talk to me, she says. Yes, he says. Here’s the truth: Albieri made a clone of Lucas. Cristina can’t believe her ears. She is convinced it is just another one of Leo’s lies and she storms out angrily.

Dora arrives at Albieri’s house where he, Silvia and Luisa are awaiting her. She demands an explanation. How dare you say my son isn’t a person!
Albi says calmly: Es una persona y es un clon. (He’s a person and he’s a clone.)
And Silvia echoes: Es cierto, Dora. Daniel es un clon. (It’s true, Dora, Daniel is a clone.)
Silvia tries to explain how it all happened, but Dora won’t allow her to speak. She runs out of the house, away from the “estupideces y mentiras” that Silvia is spinning.

Dora takes refuge with her friend Vicky in Cristina’s bar. Dora thinks Albieri and Silvia must have used some kind of brujería (witchcraft) to make Daniel look exactly like Lucas but the idea of cloning is beyond her. Dora is still upset about her ruptured friendship with Cristina, and Vicky promises to talk to Cris. Then Miguel asks Dora to dance. And this time, for no particular reason, she is moving more like her old self.

At home at Dora’s apartment, Daniel confides to his grandmother that he is anxious to meet his brother, Lucas.

The conversation between Lucas and Marisa about Daniel continues at the Casa Ferrer. Lucas is amazed that Marisa has joined the ‘Clone Believers.’ You’re the most practical person I know, he says. But Lucas, says Marisa, you have to see him. When she saw his twenty-year-old self, she felt the desire to start her life again…

Natalia arrives at Casa Ferrer and is greeted by her mother with some startling news. I wanted you to know what has been happening around here, says Marisa. It seems your father has a clone. Natalia laughs cynically and says: And they say I’m the one on drugs…
And then she adds: Me vas a dar dinero? (You going to give me money?)

Marisa says no and then becomes distracted, looking for her phone. She and Rosa walk out of the room, thinking the phone might be in the kitchen. They leave Natalia alone in the livingroom, with Marisa’s purse. When they come back, the purse is open, $100 is missing and Natalia is gone. The conclusion is inescapable: !Natalia sacó dinero de mi billetera! (Natalia took money from my wallet!)

In the final scene, Malicia opens the door to ‘her’ apartment and finds herself facing Escobar.
