Abismo de pasión #33 4/25/12: 'I AM THE LADY OF THE HOUSE' cries MISS PEACHYBEECH... and BOYS WILL BE BOYS

 Recap by Marta Ivett

Replay: Paloma warning Inmundo about Carmina, who did not show up to the funeral because she never liked Blanca, and giving Dr the lab results.

At La Anita, we rewatch Lucio giving Irritating Ingrid a weird stare while she tries to hide her face from him. (Maru also notices this exchange). Gabino introduces Maru/Ingrid.
‘Does Damian know already? / Yes’
Inmundo receives ToadHead after shutting up Paloma, who was ready to spill the beans about his earlier relationship with Nemo-Ho. Inmundo gives ToadHead the results.

New:
ToadHead takes them home to read them in private. (what’s wrong, Toadhead? ashamed of having a friend watch you cry a river?)

Nemo-Ho moody so she takes it on Super-Lolita, who is also too moody to hear Nemo-Ho’s insults and nagging (the house is a pigsty, you work for me, I am the LADY of the house, you are under my command)…
Lola’s backfires:
You brag you are ‘the lady of the house’… I wish you really behaved like it.
I am sure you let that Paolo come into my nina Elisa’s bedroom.
So much insistence of you for pairing my nina Elisa and that ‘tipo’
I am not buying that one (lie) from you. I know you hate my nina Elisa, and want to know why?
Because she is daughter of MY Senora Elisa.. and every time you see Elisa you remember HER.
All your life you were jealous of your sister. And above all, envy.
I know you hate my nina Elisa so much you would go to any measures to harm her.
IF you could, you would make Elisa disappear into thin air for good!
Nemo-Ho yells at & fires Lolita, getoutaDODGE!! U GOT 15 mins to pack your dirt balls (bola de mugre).

Irate/intense/determined Gael arrives at Arango hacienda looking for Paolo and making lotta racket… Tonita tells him quickly that Paolo might be at the pro-ce-sa-do-ra.. Gael is leaving when Alfie comes out nagging about the racket… when she sees who it is she turns on the offensive face and takes the opportunity to throw mudd at her absent  brother for not teaching Gael manners… (this woman is something else?) what do you want? (and you want an answer when you give him that kind of a welcome speech?) Tonita tells her he came looking for Gael… I did not know you had established a friendship with my daughter in law’s unkahunk … / that man is not my friend, ma’am. / then why do you want to see him? / … with all due respect (love that disclaimer he gives before insulting gossipy older ladies), that is none of your business… c’iao(leaves her all stirred talking to herself about having to take his disrespect. LOL)

Nemo-Ho is still trying to get Super-Lolita busy packin’… Elisa arrives and asks Nemo-Ho why she fired Super-Lolita… Elisa asks Lolita why she got fired, Lolita says she told Nemo-Ho she was the one that let Paolo in Elisa’s room…. Elisa asks Lolita if she really believes Nemo-Ho capable of that… yes, of that and much more… Elisa says Lolita stays…  Lolita says she is leaving… she does not have to take any more crap from Nemo-Ho. Elisa tells her she would be left all alone. Lolita assures her that would not be.

At La Anita, Paolo is not happy with the office space Gabino is setting for him. He wanted a jacuzzi, leather sofa, baño turco, etc. Gabino did not expect him so soon… Paolo tells Gabino he lost some points with Elisa last night… tells Gabino he got in her room, and if it was not for her father arriving, he would have had better luck with Elisa… it was her aunt Nemo-Ho’s idea to let him in there. Gabino laughs and warns Paolo Nemo-Ho is special. Better b careful with her or she’ll use you for her own agenda.

At warehouse, Damian, who is somewhat irritated already, confronts Kike why he wanted to see Flo… he still does not understand why he used two women (his sister and Flo) to get Damian to forgive him without firing him from the job. It is not logical at all. Damian says it is a shame that Kike feels like he needs to use women to fix his problems, Damian doesn't mix personal issues with business matters. And with that he leaves Kike, who looks like he needs another minute to understand what Damian just said…

Elisa argues with Nemo-Ho who seems to like the sound of the phrase ‘I am the lady of the house’ out of her fish lips… she keeps on repeating it… and she has the right to hire or fire the help… Elisa says Lolita has been with them for years, she is more a member of the family…  Nemo-Ho says Lolita disrespected her. Elisa asks how? Because she said you let Paolo in my room? I am beginning to believe that too.
Nemo mocks her… and finds another phrase ‘I am your family and you believe her more than me’.
Elisa says ‘you are the most bitter person I have ever met’.

ToadHead walks in his studio at home with the lab results in his hands… and we have that heavy breathing music while he remembers that Nemo-Ho told him Elisa is not his daughter… and when Elisa asked him to tell him and he did not and did not let Nemo-Ho either…  also when Lucio rebutted that idea… also early on when he came home and Estefania and Elisa were preparing the dinner table for the Arango family as guests… he reads the result and begins to cry… burns the paper with a lighter…
(so in this town they have lighters and hi-liters [Gael was using one when reading the paper looking for a job] but no cell phones) ..he thinks ‘Elisa is not my daughter’… and continues crying…

Gael arrives at La Anita and charges Paolo, in front of Maru, Ingrid and Gabino…
Gael gets IN HIS FACE and demands that Paolo play nice with Elisa (why does he remind me of Woody from Toy Story here?)… Paolo rebuts that Elisa loves the way he treats her… Gael says he will make Paolo swallow those words and when he is about to beat the crap out of him, Damian arrives and grabs him from behind… Damian asks Gael what is going on. Gael yells that ‘your friend’ is an imbecil, Gael leaves mad… Damian asks Paolo why Gael said that, Paolo plays innocent victim… Damian goes out and asks Gael what is his bronca with Paolo… Somebody poisoned the water hole!! (no, just kiddin!) Gael tells him that imbecil is crossing the line with Elisa… don’t know the details but it is enough to know that man was in Elisa’s room and I am sure he did not have good inentions!! (not exactly with a tea party invitation in his hand)  Damian impactado, now he is the one looking intense/determined.

Looking sweet as ever, Lolita has her tied up box and old suitcase… heading out… Elisa catches her at the door and says she is going with her… Lolita tries to make her desist, ‘this is your house’.. ‘no, my place is with those I love’… Lolita gives up and lets her come… when they are at the door ToadHead comes out of his studio… Elisa tells him where they are going… and why… ‘all you want is freedom to keep seeing Paolo and who knows how many  more, I won’t allow it’… ‘’I won’t let you keep insulting me.. .i am an adult and I can do as I please with my life.’… ‘I won’t stay here alone to endure the hell you mother left me in’ … (Lolita is quite upset and scared by now watching this exchange.. by the way, seems Elisa borrowed Lolita’s crochet’d black dress.) ‘you will share it with me!’ … ‘how can you say that?? How can that be the ONLY reason for you to want me to stay! (you go girl!) you don’t love me, I have always been a burden for you. it is best that I go’ (he grabs her arm, won’t let her go) ‘the only reason I would stay is that Lolita stays too! Your call!’ (ToadHead yells for Nemo-Ho to come over)  ToadHead argues with Nemo-Ho… he is not willing to let Elisa go, he asks Nemo-Ho to support him… With a couple more insults for Lolita about being replaceable, Nemo-Ho leaves defeated…

Back at La Anita, Gabino (says something about apples and pears, I guess he means boys will be boys) is glad Damian came in time to save Paolo. Paolo says no, he came to save Gael. (yeah right!, pretty boy with hunk-a bod but I seriously doubt you would have been a match for my homeboy Gael!) .. Damian waltzes in, warns Paolo ‘this is your last warning to leave Elisa alone, otherwise it won’t be Gael to whip your habaneros, it will be me… and that is a task I will do with pleasure…  (with that he leaves).. Gabino says it seems Elisa Castanon is becoming a threat, just as her mother was back then. (jerk!)

At hacienda, Princess Poop whines to Alfie that she can’t stand this situation anymore, don’t know what I am doing here, I am going back to Mex City. All day I am alone, Damian is busy with other things and with other people… like Elisa.   Every time Damian and I argue is about her, (tells Alfie about the incident at the fonda where Damian hit Kike… and how Damian got mad when Paolo and Elisa arrived together to the funeral) … I am afraid he will end up dropping me for her. .. the only way to fix the problem would be that Damian and I return to Mexico.  Alfie is not happy at the thought of that…

Gabino comes to hacienda to give Alfie his own version of the incidents at La Anita with Gael and Damian with Paolo.  ‘Elisa Castanon’ … always Elisa Castanon… in the soup…  in the tv commercials.. in the junk mail… in my nightmares… in public busses… in the magazine covers… in the taxi roof ads…

Back at Castanon manor… Nemo-Ho is nagging at ToadHead about having favored Elisa over her. He finds it stupid to be caught in the middle of a domestic dispute.. .you are the ‘lady of the house’… and you can’t handle it. .I have enough with the my issues with the business and the habanero fields…  Nemo-Ho says when the lab work results get here, she expects him to kick Elisa out of the house and of your life… ToadHead says those results are here already.. but regardless Elisa stays… Nemo-Ho continues mocking ToadHead’s inability to control Elisa no matter what… ToadHead gets furious. Nemo-Ho repeats Elisa inherited Stefi and Rosie’s ways… and NOW, after 120 hours of argument, ToadHEad asks Nemo-Ho what was the issue with Lolita to begin with… Nemo-Ho says Lolita assures NeMo let Paolo in Elisa’s room. ToadHEad bahs. Nemo-Ho threatens that she is the one that will leave if he keeps defending Elisa.

Gael gets to church and is irate telling Padre Loopy that if that ‘tipo’ gets close to Elisa again he will kill him!! Padre asks him not to be silly… Gael won’t let anyone harm Elisa… Nobody… Nobody! … Nobody!
Loopy asks Gael not to get in fights without knowing the details… Gael claims he does not need details to know he believes in Elisa and be willing to put his hand on the fire for her… Gael mentions Ingrid was there too… and suddenly Loopy forgets the ‘reprimend’ he was in the middle of, ‘was it the same woman that came to bring you the ‘pastelito’ ese?’ yeah that one!

ToadHead asks Elisa where she is going.. to my godfather’s house… Elisa gets defensive right away… ToadHead says ‘don’t lie to me, or else… I swear I don’t know… what I might do..’ (no, really, ToadHead, surprise us).. Elisa assures him she won’t have any more interaction with Paolo or anyone… since he would distrust even Gael… he says ‘the only one I distrust… is you’… (that hurts, stupid ToadHead)… on her way out Elisa is faced with Alfie (some bad day for Elisa)… Alfie tries to make a deal with Elisa… she can solve all her father’s financial woes.. in exchange for something very simple… interested?  (commercial break)… tempting, isn’t it? all you have to do is get away from my son for good’… ‘I am not understanding … we have minimal contact… why does it worry you so much that Damian and I see each other? He will be married soon, right? ‘… ‘it is for his fiancee’s sake.. she does not understand (your relationship with him) … Elisa keeps rejecting the deal… Alfie suggest she think.. nothing to think about … for all I care you can package him nicely in saran wrap and ship him away with fiancee and all!

Nemo-Ho confronts Lolita in kitchen, warns her that the war is not over… Nemo-Ho will keep looking for a way to get Lolita gone for good… Lolita doesn’t care about her threats… Nemo-Ho says you should heed my warnings.. because this time I will do it…
Nemo-Ho walks into ToadHead’s studio. Finds the empty envelope and celebrates her triumph all alone.
‘you will believe Elisa is not your daughter until the last miserable day of your life’.

ToadHead is drinking his woes at the town’s only bar…  all alone.

At La Anita, Maru is leaving the office for the day. Ingrid asks Maru how long she worked there.. more than 20 yrs since Don Rosendo lived… how did he die? … in a car accident… a tragedy… he must have left a good estate.. this business must be worth lots of money.. (Maru gives her a very questioning look given what Ingrid is saying)… Damian comes out… Ingrid almost spills her beans saying she wanted to know the son of Don Rosendo.  Damian asks if she knew his father, nope but everyone in town speaks of him… Ingrid comments to Maru that Damian is very gallant.. Maru agrees but gives her another inquisitive stare… Ingrid brings Gabino a report. He wants to escort her home… she passes on it so he asks if she is hiding anything… I live in the hotel in town.. no mystery there… not married. I live alone too….  We have so many things in common.. we live alone.. we have 1 nose, 2 feet, we are schemers, we worship the god of Moolah… we should not be trusted further than we can be thrown…

At Lucio’s Lucio tells Elisa he just came from the police station at Merida.. there is no leads, no witnesses, as if the fashion house was in the middle of the desert… there was nothing inside that would have caused the fire.. no stove, no gas tank, no TNT, nuclear devices, no C4, no matches, no gunpowder, and no McGyver to mix household chemicals up…
Elisa wants them to cook dinner together, have something to tell him…
Elisa wants him to work with her at the invernadero… he insists he has to work on finding whoever did kill Blanquita… Elisa is afraid all this obsession to find the culprit will destroy him… he says it ain’t easy.
Elisa says she had mentioned her plans about the invernadero to Nina and that she wanted Lucio to help her… Nina thought it was a great idea… he is still reluctant, Elisa was waiting for the project to be better laid out before asking him… finally he gives in and she showers him with kisses and hugs…

Padre Loopy runs into Ingrid at La Anita before she leaves… she says she is determined to become a useful woman… so when she confronts her son he will have no shame of her… She asks him if he has a problem with her getting a job or it being precisely there… why do you distrust me so much? … I have told you, I find it hard to believe in that sudden love for a son you barely know. She gets all teary/dramatic… you are right.. I barely know Gael but he is my son!! MY SON!! All I want to do is make up for my mistakes… why can’t you understand that? … well, it is hard for me to understand. It was more than 20 yrs before you cared about MY GAEL!! … you have no idea what my life has been like all these years! (you are right in that one point, II) … and even if you don’t believe me, I have always thought of Gael.. please help me win Gael’s love… even if I wanted to, I could not… Padre, I beg you… For God’s sake please help me…  we all deserve a 2nd chance… and you, who are a priest, can’t deny it to me.
Ingrid leaves and Loopy, with teary eyes, asks God to enlighten him.

At Ingrid’s hotel, she is arguing with someone she does not want to come meet her… go look for that man who needs to show face for you! don’t count on me! You are all on your own! (sola, meaning female.. is this a daughter?)

A while later, when she is already in pJ’s, Gabino shows up at Ingrid’s door… he was thinking about their chat about being two lonely people in the world… and it’s gonna be fine…  I have been waiting for the right woman… they get busy…

Damian arrives home… Alfie brings up his neglecting his fiancee… Damian says she has to understand he is working… and when they get married it would be the same so she better get used to it… Alfie plays the understanding mother… and advices they go to Mex and after they get married they can return… Damian thinks it absurd that she now wants them to leave if she was insisting in his staying… Alfie turns it up a notch suggesting to hurry up the wedding and then the children will keep Princess Poop busy…
WHOA!! Hold your horses, mommy!! Damian protests that she (Alfie) is going too fast…
Alfie whines he is losing interest in his fiancee. Did he change his mind about marrying her? (FREEZE!)

Previews show the replay of the first kiss…
Nemo-Ho asks Elisa if she is interested in Damian, Elisa responds ‘Damian is a man with a commitment’
Damian asks Flo to split up for a while… Flo upset and in disbelief
VO: a decision that will lead to a vengeance (Flo apparently tells Paolo about the split) without limits, without mercy…
(we see what seems like Paolo trying to rape Elisa at the cenote after he insults her and she slaps him…)

Una Familia Con Suerte #223-224 Wed 4/25/12 Waterloo

Hi everybody... sorry for the brusque recaps lately; the two-hour shows have been really wearing me down.

But this episode was a juicy one. Finally, no Pancho/Rebe mush scenes!
...

Holly hell! Ultimos Capitulos already? So maybe they were just in a big hurry to get it over with? But why?

We open up the episode on Napoleon pointing a gun with a silly silencer at Candi. I'm afraid I was talking and missed this scene, but the gist of it was threats, I love you, and the like.

Tomas arrests Napoleon's ninja-babe after refusing her bribe.

Cut to Chela, Enzo, and a bimbo in a suit. Is this the woman they've hired to feed the baby? "Haydee?" She certainly has the "equipment." You know, I kind of like coming into these episodes with no idea what's going on.

Ana tells Lupita that Freddy wants her back. After all, she likes him. But what about Adrian? That's where the piggy tail curls. No decision is made.

Candi calls Lupita merely to say that Tomas is in danger. Meanwhile, he interrogates the same flunky, who says Napo is like a father to her. Tomas is too busy to answer Lupita's call, but she's figured out that Napo is back just by Candi's terrified voice. Smart cookie.

Now she calls Vins to tell him to watch out for the Japanese guy. No word on which, but it's probably the henchman.

Pancho and auditor-barbie are freaking out about the front-page scoop (a picture of the two of them apparently smooching, for those of you who missed the avances). Meanwhile, Rebe's friend brings her a copy of the same article ("romance de altura"). Pancho and the auditrix take it out on Vins, and Pancho entire face goes a remarkable shade of red. Vins will get an order of embargo for his shady taxes. He tries to blackmail her, but probably should have made the threat *before* releasing the photo. They are going to have to fight dirty. They have a GREAT argument!

Rebe cries on Barb's one-shouldered zebra-dress.

On of Pina's suitors arrives to apologize - it was the anniversary of his son's death. He will take her out to eat to make up for it, and she looks quite pleased! She wiggles with glee after he makes his exit.

Candi comes and lets Lupita know that Napo made threats against Tomas. Lupita Loses. Her. Shit.

Fred begins to compose a mushy note for Ana.

OLD DIAL-UP MODEM in the police station! My sense of nostalgia at that noise totally erased anything else that happens in this scene. Geez, Tomas has grown up fast. They must have put him on the convicted prisoner's fast-track path through police academy.

Pancho tries to explain to barbie's boss that the newspaper was pure fiction, but he doesn't buy it. She will be be suspended. She has a brief moment of hope that the boss will understand once he sees evidence against Vins, but she's OUTTA THERE.

Tomas calls Lupita (enough with the calls already, babe). "don't you understand, I can't always answer my phone." He was in the middle of interrogating a known associate of a major crime boss (see what I mean about the fast-track to detective), and can't always take calls.

Rebe storms into Pancho's office with a copy of the paper in hand, and they have a cute little moment where she's mad at him and he calls her cell phone from three feet away. He seems to gain a little traction with his explanation of evil Vins and his tax situation and the fake photo, and she swiftly forgives Pancho after a little correction of his grammar. Barbie wasn't so lucky with her boss, and brings the two the bad news.

Pancho brings her a little tea. They will try to find some witness, some way, but she doesn't think it can be done. Swiftly, Rebe gets an idea. We don't find out what it was, but the two ladies have a sweet scene together.

Fred is hard at work, printing out a fancy card with a mushy note for Ana. He will show her his love *and* his prowess with desktop publishing software.

Tomas is tailing Salome, undercover, alone, with a gun. Again, fast-track-to-cop. She pulls into a parking lot and meets the Japanese henchman, who smashes her sim-card, and takes her away in another vehicle. Tomas is hot on the trail, looking not very undercover with his gun in one hand.

Tomas gives chase, and his boss warns him not to try to arrest Napo alone. But it doesn't matter, because he loses the criminals (or they lose him, I don't know how you say it).. anyway, Tomas is grumpy and yells at his steering wheel.

Toshiro is the Japanese guy. He's made it back to the supply closet where Napoleon is hiding out (seriously, it seems to be stocked with mostly cardboard tubes and a barrel of hay). Napo begins weakly strangling the "incompetent" Salome as punishment for trying to bribe Tomas rather than kill him. He lets them know that before he leaves, he must fulfill a promise he made to a man. Very menacing.

Pina and Sebastian are out to dinner. They have super-downer music for their date, and even the extras in the background look miserable. The walls are an awful shade of brown... are they out to dinner inside a giant cardboard box in a train station (a soft voice echoes like a PA in the background). Gawd, this is a downer, talking about his dead son and all. But Pina does offer to try to diminish his pain, and he accepts. They kiss!

Napoleon creepily watches Temo play soccer from up above, then lands the copter on the soccer field and creakily gets out with his whole crew. The goalie is wearing a giant mask. What exactly is going on here? The villains take out the chauffeur, and kidnap Temo. He doesn't resist, and in fact looks excited. Napo promised the kid a chopper ride, and is here to deliver. This has got to be the easiest kidnapping of the month! But Napo stays on the soccer field while Temo has a ball, and they bring him back afterwards. I really wasn't expecting that. They even have a remote-control helicopter for him! The chauffeur comes back and takes Temo home. When the kid arrives, he tells the assembled Lopez what just happened and they collectively LOSE. THEIR. SHIT.

Pina is being really sweet, and the date has gotten a lot brighter. The girl eating at the table behind them still looks miserable, though. The two have a chat about Arnold, a much more amusing topic. She also explains her recent transformation. They kiss.

Napo shows up at Chela's to menacingly congratulate her on her baby, display that he knows exactly how much it weighs, and drink from a flask. He also knows about the milk issue. Then he moans to her about his beloved Candi. He came to Chela because he knows she's the only one who can calm the family down after he takes Candi away. If she won't? He'll start killing. Ninja-babe (Salome) descends the staircase with the baby.

Next stop on Napoleons tour of threatening appearances: Pancho, who greets the baddie, then just about breaks his own neck with whiplash in a double-take (Que haces aqui Napo-WHAAAAH?). Napo gets a little misty and explains that he's jealous of Pancho's wonderful family. He's never had one of his own, and he lost his mommy. Pancho: you can't have Candi. What do you want? Napo: I want a hug. They hug, but Pancho looks really disturbed, like he just found out the truth about Santa Claus. Maybe Napoleon is grabbing his butt?

Tomas tells the family that he's headed to rescue Candy. He drives over to her place, fortunately with a little backup this time.

Freddy sends his labor-intensive gift via maid-mail. Ana receives it and squees. Her happy-music goes away as Adrian calls. After a Napoleon interlude, Ana reads the fancily-printed note to the strains of the show's pensive love theme. Meanwhile, Pina seems to have finally come to terms with Freddy's feelings for Ana. She also tells him about how her new guy makes her feel like a little girl!

Candi confronts Vins about the photo scandal. They don't resolve anything. Then they discuss the possible kidnapping and, guess what, here comes Napoleon with a gun. "Vins, don't pick up that gun." Vins puts it down. "Vins, put down that lamp." Vins puts it down. Unarmed, Vins puffs out his chest and gets ready to take the bullet as we are treated to dramatic music and a closeup on Napo's nose hair. Candi volunteers to go with Napo to save Vins. Vins says no. Fortunately, Tomas shows up behind Napo with a gun. Napo tries to psych him out "you got killer in you, boy?" Napo misses, but Tomas still shoots. Napo gets some brief death throes and we cut to commercials before his eyes close. Will he get a final speech? Stay tuned to find out. Yes! maybe he won't die. They're loading him onto the ambulance as his accomplices are taken off to jail. No, he's really dying, but he still gets that speech. He only wants to die by Candi's side, and takes her hand. He has just a few minutes to live, and he just wants to spend them with her by his side. As soon as the villain's eyes close, Vins begins jumping up and down and shouting with glee! Also, what does Salome mean by "la reina del jaque mano." It sounds like the queen in chess, but it looks like some kind of (probably poisonous) salt-water taffy. As she is carted away by the cops she hands it to Tomas. Maybe I heard wrong.

Also, in the last minutes of the show, we get a random love scene with Chacho and Sandra in their new pad, which seems a little silly after what just happened.

Candi is impressed that Vins was ready to throw down his life, and all is forgiven. They close out the episode on a kiss.

Phew!

El Talismán #61 Wed 4/25/12 Wedding Plans, More Scheming and a BIG Reveal Keep Fresno Folks Busy

Recap by Anita, FUG's esteemed Editor in Chief.

Ahem, and since the staff of the FUG was laid off recently due to threats of closure and/or cancellation, our EIC is also acting as Intrepid Reporter.

The Episode begins with a little backward look to yesterday, but your intrepid reporter will plunge right into today with notebook in hand, pencil sharpened, binoculars hanging around her neck, sound recording equipment off the shoulder, avocados and raisins for sustenance and curiosity intact (Notez Bien: some scenes have been combined to minimize whiplash.)

--Dr. Manuel Bermudez gets home from his first day at work and Magaly (aka Mariana) greets him.  Dinner is ready and she has lots to tell him and he her.  She goes first.  She saw Pedro today.  Dr. B wants to know what she felt.  Well, despite the circumstances, she got the feeling Pedro is not a BaD GuY and though he was really angry at someone, it sounded as though he was in the right (she doesn't mention how disturbed she was hearing that "other" voice).  Then Doc gives Mariana the skinny on what he’s found out about the Negretes.  He tells her that Don Gregorio is very important in these parts, but people fear him and his son takes after him.  He warns her that Antonio’s sister, Lucrazzy could also be dangerous, in fact, the whole family is very bad.  He heard this from some of the talk around Fresno.  Well, ok, maybe, but Mariana wants to know about Pedro.  Doc says he wasn’t able to find out anything about him.  Even if he’s not bad or dangerous, he recommends she stay away from him until he can find out more about him.  Mariana is sure that someone around town should know her or recognize her.

She finally recognizes that he’s a little distracted and he tells her about seeing Maria, his lost love, again and how they will be working together at the hospital.  Next morning, Doc is getting ready for work and he invites Mariana to come have lunch with him at the hospital.  They still have plenty to talk about—Pedro and Maria.  Doc says the book on Maria is closed.  She made it clear that she doesn’t want to have anything to do with him, except professionally.  He sits down to tell her that he made a big mistake getting involved with Maria’s sister (Big Hint).

--Our happy couple is still dancing cheek-to-cheek to Camila’s theme song.  Pedro and Camila romantically promise to love each other forever, grow old together and have lots of children.  My, but Pedro has a contented look on his face and Camila is swooning in his arms.  In mid-dance, they bump into Genoveva and Tomas, apparently both couples are at The Only Restaurant in Fresno that has a dance floor.  They spend the rest of the evening together toasting Pedro and Camila’s engagement.  Pedro and Camila are still basking in the glow of their love as they stand by the fountain at El Tal later that evening.  There is a lot of hugging and kissing going on.  Once inside, Pedro and Camila are horsing around and he carries her into her old room and puts her down.  Since her stuff is still in the cabaña, he tells her she’ll just have to come to his bedroom to find pajamas and it they don’t fit, …something, something…about having to make do with his body.  They go off together happy to (possibly, probably) spend the night together.

--Tonio and Lulita continue their conversation.  Sis is frustrated that Camila and Pedro are heading for the altar and Tonio hasn’t done anything to stop them.  He explains to the dummy that as long as they have Mariana, they can’t be married.  Their marriage will be invalid, duh.  Ok, well, she wants Tonio to go get Mariana and head for Pedro’s right away, but Tonio says to cool her jets and let his plan work (and how many times has that gone well for you, bro?).

He needs Lucrazier to find Daddy-O and persuade him to sign the papers giving them the part of El Al-trash that belongs to them.  She says, you know he’ll never give them to you.  Yeah, he knows that, but it’s mainly to put him on notice so when he confronts him, if he doesn’t sign them, he’ll denounce Don G. to the police and he’ll spend the rest of his days in prison.

Lulu still doesn’t see how that will prevent the wedding between Ped and Cam from taking place.  Tonio, with a wicked twinkle in his eye says they won’t get married because Mariana will make her appearance at just the right time (a su debido tiempo).

--Next there is a disgusting little scene between Doris and her new Sugar Daddy-O.  She’s a little testy because she doesn’t seem to be in charge any longer and can’t order the maids around.  He tells her that her job is to please him, so hurry up and get undressed and put her mask on (gag).

--Maria gets back to the apartment from work and is talking to herself about how seeing Doc Manuel affected her.  Nobody must know, especially Elvira.  She doesn’t know the two boys are in their room discussing Angel’s put down of Tía Elvira earlier.  She greets him and learns the topic of conversation—how did that happen?  Well, she provoked him.  Armando tells Tía Maria that Fab (and Flo) uncovered his deception and confronted him.  (He doesn’t tell her he stood there like a lump of coal, mute.)  He feels terrible because he really loves Fabiola (she’s Fabulous, yeah).  Angel tells his mom that he told Elvira to her face that she has ruined the lives of everyone around her.  Armando says dejectedly that it’s his mother’s fault he lost his love.  Tía says, no, you chose to play with both of them, so it’s up to you to straighten it all out.  Talk to her; insist on it and fight for her love; he has no idea what it’s like to live without the person you love (we know who she’s thinking of).

--Sad Fab wanders around her room and wants to forget the whole sorry mess.  She feels lucky she found out about the deception earlier than later that Army was just playing with them.  Feisty Flo says, no, no, she’s as mad as a hornet now and she’s going to confront him and make Army explain why he did such a horrid thing to them.  (I.R. noticed that Fab finally shed her suede funny-looking high-heeled boots for some really high stiletto heels a little later.  She hopes the producers have a orthopedic surgeon on call for this dangerous footwear.)

--Back at Maria’s apartment, Elvira is Me-Meing Maria that she was left all alone yesterday even though Maria had promised to come home to be with her.  Can’t she see how depressed she is?  Her kids have abandoned her and it seems so has Maria.  Maria says, don’t you start that with me, sissie.  What could she expect after what happened to Armando yesterday.  Elvirus insists that she was defending her family and needed vengeance against all the Negretes.  Wrong, says Maria, you weren’t defending your family, you were using your son to hurt two innocent girls.  Elviral says you are the psychiatrist, Maria, you should be able to help me.  True, says Maria, we help patients see reality, but you are still blaming everyone around you (not an exact translation, but that is what she meant).

--Over at El Talisman, the gang is hand-addressing the lovely engraved wedding invitations (discounted heavily at Tal*Mart since there was no firm date for the wedding to print).  Everybody is helping.  Pedro wants to hand-deliver the one to Dr. Raul at the hospital.  He does and asks if Dr. R will be their padrino at the wedding.  The talk around the table is how few folks are being invited.  Camila says they don’t know that many people (huh?).  Talk turns to whether mama Elvirus should be invited to spread her venom.  In the end, Camila says it’s the right thing to do to invite her.

Meanwhile, Margarito and Santiagito are getting to know each other.  Santi tells Margo he can call him hijo, if he wants to—and that he would like to be called hijo by Margo.  The big folks worry about his status.  Margo thinks that if they turn him in to the authorities he’ll just run away again and it will be harder on him.  On the other hand, the El Tal folks don’t want to be accused of kidnapping or abuse.  There is talk of adoption.  Camila would consider it.

Mariana arrives in a taxi at the front of El Tal.  She hides behind trees when Margo and Santi walk by talking.  She hears Margo saying what a great bunch of people live there.  Santi likes Pedro, but wonders if Camila will like him.  Margo assures him that Camila is Un Pan De Dios (very nice).  Mariana thinks she will have to revise her assessment of Pedro.  Later on she overhears Genoveva and Camila at the door talking about the wedding and they go off to buy a wedding dress.

Once Santi is finished gorging on Domatilla’s cooking, he goes back outside.  He spies Mariana.  He boldly walks up to her and wants to know who she is, does she want food, or is she trespassing.  Margaro calls for him and Mariana is desperate that Santi not give her away.  She promises to return the favor and gives him her address. (????)

--Fab and Flo have been joined by their little friend who tells Flo to forget confronting Armo, he isn’t worth it.  Fab agrees, but Feisty Flo says, no, señorita, she wants to hear it face-to-face from his own mouth.

--The boys get ready to go out.  Angel tells Armo there are lots of women out there, but Armo says none like Fab.  Angel tells him straight—forget about having him talk to Flo first or asking Cami to talk to Antonio.  He needs to put his pantalones on and straighten this out himself (mama’s advice, too).

--Over at El Trash, Antonio is asking Lulu if Piggorio is around.  Nope.  Well, he’ll just plop down on the couch and wait because today is the day he’s going to make El Daddy-O sign the papers to hand over the part of the ranch that belongs to them.  Lulu, of course cares not ONE whit about the ranch.  She just wants Ped & Cam separated.  Bro says Cool It (again).

--Dr. Bermudez and Pedro meet by accident in the hospital waiting room and exchange pleasantries.  Pedro wonders if he’s there for the asunto de Mariana, but gets over his surprise that Dr. B is in Fresno for a job.  Is he there by himself?  No, Doc says, Magaly came with him.  They talk about Mariana and Pedro says that so many years have gone by without knowing anything about her that he’s resigned to the fact that Mariana is dead, so he’s going to marry Camila.  Pedro says welcome and if he needs anything, El Tal is at his service.  As an afterthought, Dr. B asks Pedro if he’d like to have coffee, or lunch.  Pedro says gladly, how about next week?  Dr. B would like him to meet Magaly and get to know her (surprise, Pedro—if your wedding is this weekend, you will have already met her, thanks to Antonio).

--Rita and Rennie are visiting El Capitan at the Police Headquarters.  He seems completely uninterested in their complaints about Antonio walking around free as a bird, while Rennie suffers from nightmares and pain from the after-effects of the beating he got.  He’s also racking up bills for his therapy.  El Cap says these things take time and after showing them out the door, he does a little bah-humbug motion with his arm.

--Antonio is still trying to find El Piggorio.  He runs into Valentin outside in the yard who tells him he’s back and holed up in his despacho with Panchito.  He shares that Don G. is worried about Mariana.  He thought she was here in Fresno.  Ant finally gets it out of Val that Piggo put out a hit on her, but got two innocent people instead.

--In the despacho, Panchito is pretty sure Mariana must be dead.  Greggio is not so sure.  It could be that Lucas lied to get more money from him and he doesn’t want to be surprised finding out that Pedro has her hidden away somewhere.  While they are talking about Antonio, he bursts in, all macho and pushes Panchito around and out the door and gets in Piggorio’s face to tell him I HAVE Mariana sequestered.
Piggorio insists she’s dead.
Antonio says he’s talked to her and she says you and Valentin dumped her in LA.
Piggorio says that’s stupid.
Antonio says look at this cell phone photo
Piggorio says it’s a fake, a photo-montage, she’s dead.
Antonio says it’s real, and if you don’t do what I say, Mariana will talk to the authorities and you end up in jail.
Piggorio says, you will *jamas* get this rancho.  It’s MIO, MIO.

--Doc Bermudez hears Maria’s voice outside his consultorio and goes out to ask to talk to her.  She pretends she’s too busy, but accompanies him in.  He asks her what she thinks—of us.  Maria says she already told him yesterday—that she isn’t interested in thinking about what happened over 20 years ago.  Doc B replies that in those 20 years not a day has gone by that he hasn’t thought about her.  Maria snaps back—thinking about me or thinking about how you betrayed me by SLEEPING with my sister (This is the big reveal.  Oh, the world may get smaller still — could Camila be Manuel’s daughter?????)

(I.R. wishes the episode ended here, but there is more…..)

--Elvira is sitting in the apartment.  It looks like the boys haven’t left yet.  She blames Armando for ruining her life.  Now Maria hates her and it’s all because of the two F girls.  The girls aren’t worth it and she’s the one offended here.  Basically Armando tells mom that if he had to choose between Fab and never seeing his mom again, he’d choose Fabiola.  That shuts her pie hole for a bit.

--Pedro greets the Tijuana Padre who is going to marry them.  He didn’t know about Claudio and Patricia.  He’s happy to be officiating (those papers Beatriz was carrying must not matter, or the writers forgot about them).

--Continuing the argument in the despacho, Antonio wants his share of the ranch.  When the reply is that they get nothing, Antonio says, yes, in fact now not only does he want his share but he wants the whole thing while he pudres in the carcel.  Don G. suddenly looks very ill (and here endeth the reading for today).

Abismo de pasió #32 4/24/12: Pesky Paulo Pursues Pulchritudinous Elisa, or; The Spaghetti Western Rides Again

Tonight’s episode has a few main themes:

·      Anguished Augusto Always Takes the Wrong Decision

·      Conniving Carmina Schemes To Make Elisa’s Life Even More Miserable

·      Pesky Paulo Pursues Pulchritudinous Elisa

·      The RESULTS of Augusto’s Paternity Test have arrived

·      Casa Arrango Guest Quarters
Our capitulo opens with Sabrina breathlessly rushing into Flo’s bedroom at the Hacienda Arrango. Huh? Flo looks surprised because she is enjoying a fantasy meeting with Enrique.  At this moment, a flustered Sabrina Tovar the teenage beech bursts out that Enrique needs to see Florencia, in the Plaza, at 7:00 PM. Will Flo meet him? Damian walks in at this inconvenient moment of tryst–making and asks Flo what is up and if she is going to meet Enrique. Although Flo is not yet a full-fledged villain, she has potential, this girl. She blinks her beautiful brown eyes, looks innocent and convincingly squirms out of the awkward situation with an “Obviously not!”. Damian doesn’t look convinced but he doesn’t challenge her either. Sabrina spends the whole scene with an, “OMG, what have I done?” look on her face.  ¡Que tonta!

Over at Antonia and Braulio’s place Antonia, Braulio and Horacio are eating. Braulio wants to know just how Horacio got the job in the Arrango stables. Horacio replies that his friend, Gabino Mendoza, recommended him for the position. Braulio’s eyes get wide as he asks unbelievingly, “Gabino y tu son amigos?” I know, Braulio. We in viewerville echo your surprise. Can swaggering bully and one-stop-village sperm donor Gabino HAVE any friends? Since we know that Braulio has just murdered innocent and beloved Blanca, I guess he’s just about sleazy enough for Gabino to like.

·      Casa Castañon
Outiside the Casa Castañon Damian rings the bell.  Carmina answers. Damian is looking for Elisa. Carmina looks delighted to report that Elisa is not at home and she insults her niece with references to her “loose’ reputation. Damian doesn’t believe Carmina—I love that Damian has Carmina’s number. “Is she not here or not?” Damian pushes La Ermita’s Orange Crush. But Carmina has met and beat down many others in her quest to ruin her niece’s life. She is not intimidated by Damian and, in fact torments him about Paolo and Elisa. Damian tells Carmina that Paolo is not a good friend for Elisa. He leaves Carmina with a message, “If you see Elisa, su padrino es muy mal.” Well, of course Lucio is muy mal, Damian. Someone just murdered his wife! After giving this lame message to  Carmina, Damian takes his leave.

·      Spaghetti Western
Meanwhile, back at the Hacienda Arrango Guest quarters, Florencia and Paolo meet and sit comfortably on Paulo’s bed. Florencia complains bitterly about Sabrina’s botched attempt at match making, “Tio, you won’t believe it. Stupid Sabrina.” Yeah, Flo, it’s rough when your henchwoman in arranging illicit meetings is a foolish and inexperienced teenage hairdresser who is both loudmouthed and stupid. Cry me a river. Tio Paulo continua’s to explore Flo’s crush on Enrique. Flo is faux indignant.
Flo- You know I am engaged to and in love with Damian.
Tio, Paulo- So? You know that Enrique is loco por ti.
Flo: Smiles to herself.
Well, what do you know, viewerville? I think Flo actually has a thing for Enrique-qui-que. It is not JUST Paolo’s sh!#-disturbing going on. Hmmmm…All I can say is who would take Enririque when Damian was on offer?  There is no accounting for taste.

·      At Casa Tovar and Hacienda Arrango Flo and Enrique connect…
Casa Tovar - Enrique is fighting with his sister Sabrina about her failure to secure him a meeting with Flo. Begonia answers a  phone call for Enrique—It’s Florencia. They make an assignation for one half hour from now in the Plaza. Mobile phones anyone?

At the Hacienda- Alfonsina comes in and discovers Flo on the phone.
“Who are you talking to?’ the controlling Dueña asks.
Flo lies easily and says she is talking to her Dad. Alfonsina sends him her best wishes and
Flo opines that her dad is working too much, as always. Like I said before, if Flo keeps on practicing, she has real potential as a liar.

·      Don Lucio’s House
The writers are trying to convince us that Augusto may be a Grinch, but he has a heart, even if it is three sizes too small. He has brought the food that Dolores prepared for Don Lucio but Lucio is not hungry.  Augusto  says he understands—when Estephania died, there was great sadness.  He was grateful to Blanca and Lucio for comforting him then.
Don Lucio- “No es lo mismo.” It is not the same now, Lucio protests. to Augusto. You had a reason to live. You had Elisa.” Now Don Lucio waxes poetic about Elisa to her father. “You have a marvelous daughter, beautiful like her Mother.” Lucio makes Augusto promise that he will try to appreciate his daughter Elisa. Put away his doubts about her paternity. Augusto excitedly reports that the RESULTS will be back soon. Elisa is your daughter, says Don Lucio. Sorry, viewers, but I think there is fat chance of Augusto believing that. Augusto is incapable of taking a good decision about his daughter.

·      In the Plaza
Elisa and Gael talk about making her mother’s lands productive again. She is going to involve her Godfather, Don Lucio, in the project in order to secure her Dad’s permission to increase production. The happy habanero music starts up as they see Flo on the other side of the street tottering along on her sky-high tacones (heels).

·      At Casa Arrango
A testy Damian picks a fight with his Mother. “Where is Paolo?”, he snarls. Alfonsina answers that she does not know the location of her houseguests.  Damian, we imagine, is worried that Paolo is chasing Elisa’s skirt. But, instead of going directly at the problem he complains that Paolo has no interest in the work at the PRO_CES_A_DO_RA and is a parasite. I could see that, from Paolo’s perspective. La Anita work probably interferes with his time at the gym, pumping iron.  Later Damian challenges Paolo about whether he really wants to work at the procesadora. If he does, he had better show up for work tomorrow!

·      Meanwhile, In the Plaza.
Enrique and Flo meet and Rique-rique says he is sorry for what happened in the house.  I think he means to say that he is sorry for kissing Flo, but he is not, not really. Flo plays dumb, always a bad move for a blond, I think, by asking, “What happened?” Enrique admits his interest in Flo, he like her even thought she is engaged to Damian. Flo encourages him with some deft flirtation, a soft kiss on the cheek, and an innocent, “Me Voy.”  Well played, Flo. Dig those hooks in!

·      Casa Castañon
Another of Elisa’s suitors comes to the door. Paolo rings the bell outside and waits for Carmina to answer. He is looking for Elisa (just as Damian suspected). Paolo and Carmina exchange flirtation and Carmina says Paolo can wait for Elisa. Carmina has a surprise for Elisa, I think.

·      Don Lucio’s House
Lucio walks Augusto out to the street and thanks him for everything. He reminds Augusto to keep his promise to be nice to Elisa. R-i-g-h-t. For the first time in 16 years—that is not likely to happen. Augusto questions Lucio about what Blanca was going to say to Alfonsina and me? No Lucio does not know. The mystery remains.

·      Fourth Level Plot Point
Irritating Ingrid meets with Gabino. She starts working tomorrow AM in la procesadora. Gabino thinks Ingrid is a very mysterious woman. When Ingrid actually goes to the procesadora to start work, Maru gives her major eye-daggers. I don’t understand why we care.

·      Carmina and Paolo contrive counter intelligence
Conniving Carmina contrives to set Elisa up for yet another fall. The woman is a stupid  orange-colored harpy but she is relentless. So Elisa comes home from her o-so-innocent meeting with Gael to discus agronomy and the costs to do start-up on the fallow fields (and green houses). She goes into her room to take a load off and finally get our of the pirate boots.

But, whaaaaat? Carmina has let Paolo Landuchi, known seducer of young women, wait for Elisa in her BEDROOM???  Carmina, you are a hag. Elisa reacts with outrage at finding the Italian Stallion, Mr. Spaghetti Western himself in her ROOM.  She starts to throw the rascal cad Italian Cowboy out on his fancy a$$, when Paolo catches and kisses a furious Elisa.—just as Augusto walks into Elisa’s room to see what the fuss is all about. Naturally he has a dead-on view of Paolo planting a lip-lock on Elisa, in her bedroom. Carmina enters and tries to put the worse possible spin on things. This man is much older than you He is the age of your Mother! “Nothing happened!”, cries Elisa. Augusto interprets things as badly as he can—Elisa has no morals at all!  Augusto storms out without letting Elisa explain and with Camina pouring poison in his ears. So much for his reconciliation with his daughter.

Augusto fights with Carmina. He does not believe that Paolo Landuchi has good intentions toward his daughter.

At the Padre’s, Gael crunches numbers on Elisa’s pepper project while Father Lupe tries to find out how he feels about  Ingrid.  She is muy amable, according to  Gael.

Elisa is left to cry herself to sleep on top of the covers in her Mother’s bedroom. She remembers her mother comforting her and telling her she would always love her. Oh, this is so sad. Delores finds her still sleeping on top of the bedclothes when she enters in the morning. Elisa is still broken-hearted about Augusto’s lack of trust in her. She felt recently that she and Augusto might be reaching some understanding but after last night’s incident it all feels ruined to Elisa. Ah, she is very young. Delores does her best to comfort Elisa.

·      But Carmina is not done creating chaos for Elisa…

Now Carmina completes a series of machinations worthy of Machiavelli regarding the pending results of the paternity test of Elisa and Augusto. We remember that she planted the seeds of doubt in Estupido Augusto that Elisa was not his child many years ago. She fed that poisoned vine as it took root and grew in Augusto’s tiny little pea brain and withered heart.

She tried to persuade Dr. Tovar to switch the results to show that Augusto was not Elisa’s father, but El Gordo somehow grew a spine and a conscience and refused to change the results for her. She went to the Lab itself and tried to bully them into giving her results. No luck.

Augusto drops by the church and tells Gael the most scandalous gossip possible about his daughter, Gael’s good friend. What is he thinking? “Paolo was in her room last night,” Augusto tells Gael. I hope Augusto ends up with Begonia, for his sins. They can gossip there way together through the streets of hell for an eternity.

Don Lucio goes to La Procesadora and tells Damian he will not be coming to work for La Anita. Lucio says goodbye to Maru just as Ingrid comes in with Gabino to report for her first day’s work at La Anita.

Now two guys (who look a lot like Gabino and Horacio with ski-masks on their heads) ambush a postal truck and driver and intercept his letters and packages. We cut to a scene where Carmina has an interaction with Horacio in which she asks for and receives the intercepted letter from the lab. She gets copies made and the copy-meister compliments her on the ‘good work’ on the papers. She then goes to town with her false copy and pays Antonia’s no-good son to deliver the fake copy to Dr. Tovar’s office.

Paloma gives the mail to Tovar and tells him that Augusto is sitting in the waiting room. Augusto comes into the Doctor’s office, hat in hand, and thanks him for his help with a cringe-inducing hug.

Dr. Tovar announces that Augusto will now have the definitive results about whether Elisa is his daughter—or not! And all the anvils in telenovela heaven rain down on Elisa’s fair head.

My recording cut off the avances. Please fill in the blanks!

Una Familia Con Suerte #221-222 Tue 4/24/12 busybodies and gossips make the world go round.

No time to proofread. Maybe tomorrow.

Vince will stay awake and watch while Candy sleeps. He is very tender!

There is a battle of the boobs in Rebe's dream. She and Isabella hiss and Rebe gets the worst of it.

Rebe is eating lots of donuts at Avon. Her babies will be built out of donuts. They won't be the first.

Sebastian comes to see Pancho? Is he dating Pina? He doesn't want to gossip which puts him in the .5% of Avon employees. He doesn't want to be friendly with anybody, he doesn't believe in it, his best friend betrayed him.

Tomas had a lab guy analyze some footprints (or maybe fingerprints?) and they are not Vince's or Candy's - they'll have to be compared to Napo's, sometime the next day.

Salome mocks Napo for still loving Candy, that's why they're in their current predicament. He denies it and threatens her for the suggestion.

Rebe is very crabby with Isa, who denies having anything to do with Pancho. FF>

Finally! Pancho succeeds in getting Sebastian to stop working and start gossipping! Now he fits in, as he wonders how Pancho and Rebe, such disparate souls, fell in together. They later gossip about Pina, Pancho says he likes her quite a bit and she's changed - and is even helping people with her foundation for broken families. And hours later they are still gossipping. Sebastian says, after his divorce he's afraid of getting involved. Pancho says he felt the same way after Laurita died. He pushes Sebastian to send Pina flowers. What a busybody!

Pina gossips with Ray, he appears to be her replacement gay confidante since Arnold isn't gay any more. "Sebastian won't talk about his son." "Pina, that means either he's divorced and the kid lives with the mother or he's dead!" He snoops on the internet (during work hours) and finds that the 8-year-old son drowned.

Moni tells her dad she wants to help Frida the way Vince helped Enzo himself. He says the difference is, he got an education and worked on huis financial career while he worked for Vince. PSA: Edúcate!

Candy's been taking an antipsychotic drug. She says it isn't working, she still sees Napoleon. She wants to go to a loony bin. While she and Vince are at the shrink's office, Tomas calls and tells her about the footprints.

Lupita is getting married at the end of the year. Nosy Ana tells Chela she should tell Enzo it's time to get married. Chela wants to get married in white at the end of the year like Lupe. Lupita asks Ana: if Freddy were to get independent from Moms, would she want him again? FF>

Isa and her sidekick gossip about Pancho - she'll have to finish her work and leave ASAP to get away from her feelings. Rebe whimpers and feels fat. FF>

Moni tells Frida that Pepe is a special guy and very good in bed. FF>

PSA: Ana tells Adrian that bulimia generally begins with depression. She tells him about the kissing lessons she took before kissing her first love Freddy. She & A. kiss, his daughters run up and ask when they're getting married.

Tomas visits Lupe on her first day back at the childcare facility. "Good news, Candy isn't crazy."

Vince, who broke up with Arnold when A. admitted to being ungay, tells A. they can be friends again if Arnold helps him destroy Isabella. He wants video of the Isa/Pancho grope on the floor of the warehouse.

After hours of gossipping with Sebastian, Pancho invites Isa in and they commence to gossip about Vince and about "lo nuestro" ("the 'Pancho & Auditor Barbie Show' "). Boring! FF>

Lupe and Tomas go to Chela's and tell her, Candy, and Rebe that the fingerprints found on the scene are Napoleon's, he's alive. The weird stuff is to drive her crazy and frieghten her.

Pina is very tender talking to Sebastian about his dead son when he comes to bring flowers. Her sympathy is a buzzkill, he leaves.

Vince rushes home to Candy, Tomas el ex-plomero explains he's now a policeman. They found a projector, good for making one's image disappear. Pancho and Rebe discuss: some catalepsy-inducing drug made Napo look dead and now he's out for vengeance. Pancho points out to Vince that his marriage to Candy isn't, since her previous husband is still alive.

The sidekick brings Napo a picture of Tomas, the investigating officer. "Simple - kill him," Napo rumbles cheerfully. She would rather they ran away to his place in Venice.

Adrian tells Ana about his wife, his first love, they never fought. She's amused that she, Ana, is so different. Ana tells him about how much she loves Freddy. He doesn't seem to notice and pours compliments on her and gets a big kiss.

Freddy takes a kiss from Kari but tells her he is going to fight for Ana's love so he has to split up with Kari. Kari doesn't advance her case by calling Ana a naquita, she also yells "you used me, you'll deserve it when Ana marries Adrian and you're left lonely as a dog."

Vince loves the movie of Isa and Pancho on the floor of the warehouse - it will be his revenge on Isa (who at the same time prepares to send Vince an order of embargo since his finances are so crooked and he doesn't pay his taxes nicely).

I love Pancho's proposed names for his future son: Maciosare, Heler, Eutinio.

Haydee will be Enzo's secretary in Monterrey. Candy nags Chela into calling Enzo to propose; Haydee answers. She is wearing a micro-skirt. Enza says his secretary is fat and ugly. Chela comes to visit (with the baby) and sees he was lying. They waste the day cuddling the baby and blabbing.

Today is the first anniversary of Sebastian's son's death so he doesn't accept Pina's invitation to dinner.

Freddy comes to Arnold to join the Avon publicity team.

Kari tells she had sex with Freddy, but now he's dumped her and is coming back to Ana.

Salome brings a suitcase full of money to Tomas: "forget about investigating Napoleon." He arrests her.

Napoleon hides in the ladies' dressing room and snatches Candy. He puts a gun to her head and plays loud opera singer music. He says his Japanese friends are standing ready to kill Vince, too. He may kill everybody she loves, or she can go with him to Venice or wherever. For now, she's kidnapped.

The picture of Isa and Pancho is on the first page of the newspaper. Vince had punched it up on photoshop. Isa screams at Pancho, who says they can undo the lie, but she says it's too late and her boss will fire her.

I don't think they usually let rookie policement interrogate mafiosi alone, but whatever. Salome says nothing except that Napoleon saved her life.

Isa and Pancho figure out Vince is behind all the mischief.

Barb brings the lurid newspaper picture to Rebe.

El Talismán #60 Tue 4/24/12 A Proposal, A Revelation, and Castigation

Previously on El Talisman:

Mariana is telling Tonio she must have had a complicated life and Tonio escorts Mariana from El Alcatrash.

Today on El Talisman:

El Viral and Maria are talking in Maria's office. Maria is telling the El Viral to calm down. Maria tells El Viral to think about giving that divorce to Rennie; it will be El Viral's chance to start anew. El Viral says yeah then I can look for a new man with postion and Maria says you should look for someone to love instead of another millonaire. El Viral says she'd like to be married again cause she hates being alone because Army and Cameela want nothing to do with her. El Viral is happy that Maria has taken her in. El Viral leaves.

Dr. Raul is showing Manuel around the Only Hospital in Fresno. Dr. Raul wants him to meet Maria, but she is busy right now. Dr. Manuel says Maria, huh there are alot of Maria's in the world.

Pedro, Cameela, Sarita and Gabe are all in the kitchen talking about Pedro and Cameela getting married. Sarita, Gabe and Cameela think it is too soon to marry after the deaths of Tia Patty and Claudio, but Pedro says we are getting married next week. The sooner the better. Pedro goes to find Margarito.

Margarito is in Claudio's room. He looks at a pic of when Claudio was little. He misses him so much. There is alcohol on the table in Claudio's room and Margarito eyes the bottle. He picks up the bottle and looks at it and just then Pedro comes into the room. He puts the bottle down and says he could just die. Pedro tells Margarito he needs another opportunity. Margarito asks what opportunity? Pedro says to come with him and he'll show him.

Valentin and Panchito are talking among the trees and he tells Panchito that Pigorio doesn't want to end up in the carcel.

Tonio has taken Mariana back to her apartment. She has so many questions does anyone else at Alcatrash know her? Mariana says you only tell me a little. Tonio tells her she is confused. She asks him if he is part of her past? I think Mariana asks Tonio about the ranch. She is very confused. After Tonio leaves she remembers seeing Pedro and Cameela in the garden and then hearing Pedro's voice. She is having a hard time beleiving Tonio about Pedro.

Pedro takes Margarito to the orphanage and has him wait outside. Pedro goes in and Santiago is still there. Pedro tells him he brought a friend with him for Sanitiago to talk to. He'll get the doughnuts if he does this. Santiago says oh, ok. Pedro wants Santiago to help Margarito. Santiago says oh, so many conditions, but he goes outside and introduces himself to Margarito. Margarito tells him he has lost his son. Santiago tells him he doesn't know if his Mom is dead or alive and he doesn't know who his dad is. Santiago has tears in his eyes. Margarito goes inside with Santiago and tells him he is happy to know him. Santiago digs into the donuts and gets chocolate all over himself. Pedro asks Santiago if he would like to live at El Talisman? Margarito tells him it is a great place. Santiago is for that, but he won't be going there today. Pedro has something to do, and Santiago says this time when you come back bring me glazed doughnuts. They laugh.

Fabi and Army are walking and talking at school. Angel sees Flor so to head her off he says hi to her and she asks what he is doing there? He blocks her view and says he is looking for his friend Andreas does she know him? Flor says no, don't know that guy. Flor sees Fabi and calls to her, while Army is hiding his face. Flor goes over and Fabi introduces him to Flor as her novio. Flor is really mad, cause she says this is Jose my novio. Army tells them he can explain that he is both Jose and Army. Well Fabi is royally pithed off and can't beleive Army did this to her and Flor tells Army she hates him. Both sisters take off and are royally pithed off at Army.

Tracy has come over to see Cameela at El Tal and Cameela tells her that she and Pedro are getting married next week. Tracy asks if it isn't too soon, but Cameela tells her Pedro is insisting on it. I think they are doing a Mexican wedding. Pedro calls Cameela and tells her to dress nicely cause he wants to say something alone to her, away from El Tal. She is worried cause she thinks it is bad, but Tracy the voice of Spanlish reason tells her he probably just wants some alone time with her. Cameela is worried cause Pedro sounded so serious. Tracy wonders if this is about the Negrete siblings.

Nana and Panchito are having a little confab and Nana is talking about Claudio and Flor and something about Don Francisco? If someone could fill this in.

Fabi has come home and is very upset. Flor has been given a ride by one of her friends. Flor goes in looking for Fabi. Fabi is crying in her room and talking to Nana. She tells Nana she can't beleive Army did this to her. She tells Nana what happened. Flor is in the living room and in walks Pigorio. Pigorio walks up to Flor and slaps her across the face so hard, she falls onto the sofa. Pigorio tells her this is her punishment for going with Claudio and accusing him of killing him. He is starting to take off his belt (this recapper was shuddering in horror and wanted him to have an infarto, jus saying) when Tonio comes in. Tonio shoves Pigorio away from Flor and asks him what the hell he thinks he's going to do to Flor. Pigorio tells Tonio his princessa had been seeing Claudio and accused Pig of killing him, and she was never punished for this. Tonio turns to Flor and the Pig leaves. Flor begs her father to forgive her and not to punish her. Tonio tells her don't worry I won't punish you. I am marrying Cameela and will have another girl. Basically he is telling her you are dead to me. Poor Flor doesn't know what to say, but she cries.

Army and Angel are back at the apartment and Army wants to call Fabi and explain everything to her. Army tells him to give her some time. El Viral comes in and asks about what is going on with Fabi? She tells Army you better be careful that Pig never finds out what you did. Army finally tells El Viral this is all her fault. This was her plan and look what happened. El Viral the queen of drama tells him she wants no drama from him. (Seriously with all your Screaming and High Drama you want none from your son)? Angel (and he truly is an angel) steps in and tells El Viral heck yeah this is all YOUR fault and you have a track record for it n'est pas? Angel tells High Drama El Viral that his Mama's heart was broken by High Drama El Viral and that she stole his Mama's boyfriend. She says it's not her fault that Tia Maria's boyfriend fell in love with her. High Drama El Viral ruined the lives of Army and Cameela for her own stupid venganza. Miss High Drama says she won't be insulted and Angel tells her to shut up already (this recapper was cheering him on). He knows all about her past and what she has done. High Drama El Viral is pithed off so much her headband is coming unglued. She exits the room and slams the door.

Flor comes into the bedroom and talks to Nana and Fabi. She tells Fabi what the Pig did and was about to do and then how Tonio saved her and that he is marrying Cameela and having more kids. Fabi and Flor and not happy and Flor says I guess we just have to accept this. Fabi says she will never accept this and that Cameela must be bad. Flor says no, she is nice. Fabi wants to know why Army did this to them? Fabi isn't interested in anything right now. She is too sad.

Cameela is all dressed up and goes to the Swankiest Restaurant in Fresno and has her car parked by a valet. She goes inside and asks if there is a reservation under the name Pedro Ibarra? The hostess seats her and there is Pedro. He gives her a rose, and their theme song starts to play. She looks at the rose and finds a diamond ring in the center, she gives it to Pedro who asks her to marry him and puts it on her finger. She has tears in her eyes and accepts his proposal. They dance and talk about what kinds of children they want she wants a girl he wants a boy. They say they will have lots of children. Mucho smoochies. The anvil awaits.

Doris comes into the living room where Lucrazy is and teases her about Pedro marrying Cameela and how do you feel about that. Lucrazy tells her to largate while snapping those fingers like leave now. Doris tells her poor little Lucrazy. Doris leaves. Tonio comes in and says he and Lucrazy have to talk. He tells her they will use Mariana to stop the wedding of Pedro and Cameela. All Lucrazy can think about is that her Mi Amor is marrying Cameela. Tonio says with Mariana's help they will stop this wedding.

Dr Raul has finally come to see Maria. He asks her how she likes her job. She tells Dr. Raul she loves it. Dr. Manuel comes in and Dr. Raul introduces him to Dr. Maria. They recognize each other immediately. They tell Dr. Raul they have known each other for years. Dr. Raul leaves and Dr. Manuel and Dr. Maria start talking. She asks how he likes Fresno, he says he loves it. He tells her she is beautiful, she is blushing a bit. Maria tells him she wants to keep their relationship strictly professional. He asks her if she has ever thought of him in all the years since they've seen each other? Maria says no not so much, especially after what happened. Dr. Manuel asks if she is married? She says no divorced. Manuel leaves and Maria thinks how could he be working here too?

Pigorio is in his office when Panchito comes to see him. Pigorio asks him about the investigation he is conducting over there at El Tal is going about the Mariana problem? Panchito has a sick look on his face, but tells Pigorio he hasn't heard a word about her or seen her either. He asks Panchito if this is really true? Panchito assures him it is true not a word or sighting.
