La Fea Más Bella #126 10/17/06 Happiness is Lety
Alicia manages to sneak in through a service door of the club. She just misses seeing Fernando and Lety, who sneak out the same door moments later. Alicia still has Marcia on the phone as she searches for Fernando. She tells Marcia what a horrible place this club is, full of lowly women ogling disgusting men.
The cuartel a still watching the show. The dancers have left the stage :( . Irmita wants to leave. The rest of the girls say No Way! The MC comes onstage and works the crowd. He asks for a volunteer to come up onstage. Just then Saimon and Paco (whom as you recall are in La-Fea-Mas-Fea drag) get up to leave, and… the MC picks la señorita Saimon to come up onstage!
At El Cheque’s house, the kids are taking full advantage of Yasmin’s vow to never punish them. The boys kick a soccer ball and break some bottles which are supposed to be antique or something. Yasmin is about to raise hell but El Cheque changes her mind. Instead, she offers to make them dinner in honor of the Mexican soccer team, who has just won a game. The girls walk in wearing Yasmin’s clothes, and with her make-up smeared all over their faces (ala Robert Smith of The Cure). They walk around imitating Yasmin and referring to El Cheque as “Flaquito” (Skinny). Flaquito... I mean El Cheque, is flattered. Yasmin is not.
The dancers are back and they have la señorita Saimon on stage with them. They flex and grind all around “her.” Alicia has found her way into the audience and is drooling over the dancers. The cuartel cheers. La señorita Saimon is motified. La señorita Paco looks on in sympathy, and prays with rosary in hand for his buddy. Martha, who is seated right next to Paco, is annoyed that this señorita is praying when she should be enjoying the show. PM decides she wants a turn onstage. Saimon starts to leave the stage and PM rushes passed him. Saimon realizes that PM is heading for center stage and explodes! He pulls his wig off and tries to punch a big guy with Fabio hair. Fabio pushes Saimon down easily. PM is impactada to see that it’s Saimon. Paco yells “You big dummy, you’re going to get us busted!” Of course, he’s yelling in his deep taxi-driver-in-traffic voice and everyone realizes he’s Paco. Martha proceeds to give her husband a whuppin’.
In the car, Fernando is giving Lety the silent treatment. Lety argues that if he’s not even going to talk to her, he should have left her at the show, where she was having a grand old time with her friends (actually, she was miserable, but who cares -- You tell him, Lety!)
Las señoritas get kicked out of the club and the cuartel follow. Saimon and Paco argue about who’s fault it is. Alicia tears herself from her drooling and goes out to see what happened. She ridicules them for behaving like riff-raff. She asks where Fernando is. They tell her that he left with Lety. She instructs the security guys to send the riff-raff away. For once, somebody agrees with Alicia, and they tell everyone to leave. Sarah and Juana vote to go back inside to the show. Irmita pulls them back and says they are all going home. As the cuartel leaves, Alicia rubs herself all over a big sign with the Solo Para Mujeres cast on it, then she goes back inside for some more eye candy.
Yasmin is livid. She is brusquely paging through a magazine in her room. El Cheque comes in and thanks Yasmin profusely for her patience with the kids. She’s not buying. He asks if it’s time for “cuchi-cuchi” (gag!). She asks whether he actually thinks that the fieras as sleeping yet (I wonder-- is this a clever shout-out to their novela neighbors over at Mundo, or just a random coincidence? I think I’ll choose to believe the former). El Cheque assures her that the kids are sleeping. The kids take this as their queue to run in and take over the room like fieras. Yasmin calls them abusive monsters, angels of hell. They laugh at her.
The Cuartel and Co. are arguing on the street. “You lied to me!” “Well, you lied to me first!” They go back and forth. There is a funny shot of the two guys, sitting on a bench in drag as they argue with the ladies. Paco is sitting with his legs crossed and pouts as he inspects his nails. Saimon is scowling and sitting with his legs wide open. Sarah yells at Saimon to shut up and close his legs. Martha says they look and smell like spoiled codfish. They are still arguing and walking when a couple of guys driving by stop their car and try to pick up some dates. Do they go for PM, the sexy blond in the teeny tiny skirt? No! They go for Saimon and Paco, the big señoritas.
Lety and Fern enter a bar and get a table. Lety wants to know what the heck is gong on. Fernando says that everything is her fault, because she LIED to him. She told him that the DVD she was working on was a behind-the-scenes of the commercial shoot, and he now knows that this is a LIE! Lety wants to know why he is so sure of that. Fernando realizes that he can’t prove she’s lying unless he confesses that he saw the DVDs. He walks away to rethink his strategy.
Back on the street, PM introduces the pick-up artists to “Simona”. Martha introduces Paco as “Francesca”. The cuartel is howling with laughter. They say the 2 señoritas are perfectly good women, except for the mustaches and other areas with embarrassing amount of hair. The pick-up artists say, it’s okay, they like fuzzy women. Paco and Saimon go ballistic and scare their would-be dates away. The women are Rolling On the Floor Laughing! Everyone kisses and makes up.
Fernando is back at the table. Lety worries and Fernando drinks. Lety asks how Fernando is so sure she is lying to him. Fernando knows he’s this-close to being busted and says “I’m asking the questions around here.” He finally says that he knows all about the her plans to marry Tomas. Lety looks confused.
El Cheque is trying desperately to reach Lola to ask for help with the kids, but he can’t reach her. He remembers out loud that the kids are actually supposed to stay all weekend, and Jasmin is impactada. No puede ser! Just then the kids walk in the room. “It’s been fun Dad, but can you take us home now?”
Alicia is back in her car when Marcia calls. Alicia reports that Fernando left the club with Lety. Maria wants Alicia to spy on Fernando the following day. “But Maaarcia! Tomorrow is Saturday.” (Finally, after about 112 back-to-back workdays, we get a weekend!) She hangs up and giddily remembers how much she enjoyed the naked man show.
Fern remembers Omar’s theory that Lety must have read The Letter and is now marrying Tomas as revenge against Fern. Fernando abruptly accuses Lety of plotting to marry Tomas to get revenge on him. Lety asks what on earth would she need to get revenge for. Fernando realizes he has put his foot in his mouth. “Ah, Um, well…”
Back at Lety’s house, there’s another seemingly useless conversation. Robopop chides Tomas for eating too much and tells Tomas to go home. Tomas’ friends, the drunk lawyers, stop by and they want to party. They want to chat about Lety and Filmo Imagen. I guess Mom and Dad are not supposed to know about this, because Tomas has to do some fast talking to change the subject. He explains that they are there to give him legal advise about the Australian tree fiasco. Julieta thanks them for stopping by and opens the door for them, and Tomas agrees it’s time for them to leave, but alas, Robopop invites them to stay for a tequilita.
Lety realizes that Fernando must have seen the unedited DVD of the house hunt. Fernando admits that, yes, he watched it. Lety laughs and explains how she pretended to be Tomas’s fiancé to help him fend off Matilde, the over-affectionate realtor. Now Fernando wants her to explain the other DVD, the one she sent to his parents. Lety is torn. She resists telling him, but finally breaks down and tells him that she is helping his parents find a house for his wedding present. The relief on Fern’s face is palpable.
Fern goes to the potty for some privacy. He calls Omar to explain everything. Omar yells at him for mentioning the “revenge” theory to Lety and is about to give him advise on how to fix it. Fern cuts him off and says he knows exactly what he needs to do and hangs up on Omar.
At the table, Lety has started writing on a napkin in lieu of her diary. “Oh why is life so cruel? I know Ferny loves me, but the only way for us to be happy will cause Marcia so much pain.” Fernando walks back in time to hear Lety crying and writing aloud. He is touched that, even now, Lety is worried about the pain this will cause Marcia. Lety is startled and embarrassed that he heard her. She tells Fern she wants him to be happy. He says that , she, Lety, is his happiness… (sigh!). He brings her chin up and then passes his fingers over the tears on her cheek. He tells her he knows how to fix this; as soon as Marcia gets back from Germany, he's… calling off their engagement!
Will Fernando really call off his engagement?
Will Lety and Fern have a romantic weekend alone?
Will El Cheque and Yas be trapped all weekend in a Mundo De Fieras?
Let’s hope yes, yes, and yes!

Heridas de Amor, Tuesday 10/17
"QUE????" Amparito is incredulous. Move out of the house to live with her beloved? Roman has proposed, if you want to call his half-assed suggestion a proposal, but Amparito says she will die without her family, she can't decide, things are moving so fast.
Roman sets the tone by listing his "yo quieros." He does want to be partners. He does not want to be like a brother. He does not want a sister. He does not want a mother. He does want a woman who shares everything. He does not want a woman who's afraid of things. He does want a woman who takes risks. He does not want a coward. OK, now it's her turn to think about what she wants. He gives Amparo a dispassionate peck and leaves before listening to her "yo quieros." Guess she doesn't get her turn. If I were her I'd be thinking that cooking for the four slobs + blondie and washing their poo-poo undies looks pretty good about now.
Leonardo shows Pamela the codebook that he and Andrea have been pondering for weeks. Pamela breaks the code in 3.5 seconds. I counted. Leo rushes off and Pamela complains to Andrea about the excessive sugar in her tea.
Amparo asks herself whether she should marry or not. Puhleaze! Carola arrives and tells her she got the job and had one of the highest exam scores. All was well at the interview until she was asked about past jobs. "Ah Caray!" moans Amparito, "You didn't tell the truth, did you? The whole world will find out and the old pigs will make insinuations." Carola's sure that won't happen. Well really, what does a whore know about corporate? She'll find out soon enough.
Cesar the sleazeball, "faint" from just having saved Florencia's life, asks Gonzo why he continues to hate him after all he has done for the family. Gonzo and Alejandro scowl. Sleazar sniffs in self-pity and shuffles off. Miranda scolds the scowlers and Fabricio says he can't believe the injustice of it all. Score one for Sleazar. Fernanda interrupts to say Florencia is recovering.
I'm not sure but I think the secret code book had bank info in it because that's where Leonardo is. He must want to withdraw a big amount because after Providing The Account Number and Giving The Password the bank mgr. asks to see Leo's I.D. Aha, Leo wants to close the account and he wants cash. It's so much money that the bank needs 24 hours. The bank mgr. asks why Leo is closing the account and he says for personal reasons. Are they allowed to ask questions like that?
Superslut and bad-hair-day-Erika are waiting for the doctor. He must be a reeeally great doctor because his prescribed treatment, that he has to READ FROM A CHEAT SHEET, is: take your medicine, keep your appointments, if you feel bad call me and of course don't take drugs. Slutty gets mad, bares her pirhana teeth, grabs his paper and throws it on the ground. Doctor Dumb says it's her life, she can pick it up or throw it onto the floor (points to crumpled paper).
Miranda and Alejandro make up and agree not to fight about Sleazar. Al tells her Bertha now owns absolutely all of his father's designs and she's in Paris preparing an exhibition of them (I think). In fact he was on his way to Paris to negotiate with her when Miranda called. But now all he wants is to marry her, he would give up everything to have Miranda as his wife. Miranda says it's a good time to go get their blood tests.
In the sickroom Florencia tells Gonzo that thanks to Fernanda her baby will be born. She thanks Fern for everything and apologizes for her past behavior. Gonzo and Fern tell Flor that everything will be fine. Outside the room Fern gives Gonzo the straight poop, for every two steps forward there are four steps back. Flor's health is deteriorating rapidly and as long as she's pregnant a heart transplant is impossible. Gonzo says "Save her, one day she will know that her mother has already given her life two times."
Slutty and Hideous Hair join Renata outside Flor's room. It's a stupid scene with an HIV treatment public service announcement, crass statement by Slutty of Flor dying and Slutty joining her, and Renata and Erika deciding to stick by Slutty even though she's hateful and odious.
Miranda and Al are post-blood test, holding hands and talking about their wedding on the morrow. Miranda tells Renata that she wants her, Juan and his family to join them at the big house tomorrow. Daira arrives and shoots Al a worried look. She is alone.
Leonardo arrives home with something very important to tell Pamela and Andrea. The doorbell rings and it's Luciano looking for Pamela. She yells at him, he wants to speak with her, she glares, he glares, she glares.
Fabricio tells Flor "who would have guessed my own bro would save the life of my love?" Then he whines that Al and Gonzo still hate his bro. Flor says she'll talk to Gonzo and ask him to forgive Sleazar. She thinks Sleazar should be one of the family, he should be the big brother to all of them. She must be on drugs.
Sleazar, smoking and drinking, tells Lasagna about the transfusion. Lasagna smirks and meows, "that must be why Alejandro wanted me at the hospital. I have the same blood type as you my love." Cesar forbids her to help Al or donate blood to Flor. The doorbell rings and Lasagna sidles over. It's Nuria. "Amor! It's for you!" Lasagna yells. "I'm coming my love," he says. Nuria is impactada. Sleazar gulps.
Al wants to know why Lasagna isn't with Daira. She was supposed to donate blood. Daira says at first Lasagna was on board but on the way to the hospital she got a phone call, got out of the car and disappeared. "NO PUEDE SER!" Al says as his cellular rings. He hands it to Miranda. It's Bertha, she's going to auction off (get rid of?) some of the designs and is he interested in any?
Lasagna and Nuria make catty introductions and Nuria finds out that Lasagna is Al's sister. Sleazar tells Lasagna to leave. She gets all kissy-face in front of Nuria and tells him she'll be waiting. Nuria smiles..then slaps him. Hoorah!! Do it again!! He shakes her and we see a side view. She's supposed to be pregnant but is skinny as a stick. Can't they afford a pillow or something? Sleazar says Lasagna is only there so he can spy on Alejandro Luque. Of course he's a suck-up because he thinks she'll be loaded if/when Bertha dies. He convinces her to leave and gives her a wad of cash. He pats her skinny concave belly and she leaves. Estupida. Then he yells at Lasagna.
Alejandro yells at Bertha that the designs mean nothing to him, she can do what she wants. He apologizes to Miranda and Daira, saying "Bertha me saca de mis casillas" which sounds kind of obscene but it turns out it's not. (Bertha pulls him out of his pigeonholes = she drives him crazy.) He tells Daira he'll protect her interests and she tells him not to worry, money doesn't make her happy. Maybe she wants to move out of that feng shui nightmare of an echo chamber and live in a real house. He tells her Bertha said she'd destroy the designs if he doesn't meet her.
Luciano admits to Pamela that he's Al's financial advisor. He admits nearly everything to her. She asks why he would do all those things against Miranda's family and he tells her to ask Al. He asks her not to say a word because it would hurt Miranda. He tries to kiss her but she turns away.
Nuria arrives to check on Flor. Daira and Alejandro ask her if anything happened to Flor to upset her befor she got sick. "Hmmm...the only unusual thing was a phone call from Bertha," says Nuria. Just then Lasagna calls Daira. Al gets furious, Nuria gets faint, Al tells Lasagna to get her butt home or else. Nuria tells Al and Daira she's expecting. She's not married but will be soon. She thought bubbles "Cesar is going to marry me or I'll tell Alejandro Luque what's up with his sister."
Sleazar yells at Lasagna and accidently calls her Nuria. He gets even madder. He tells her she shouldn't let her brother tell her what to do with her own blood. She promises she won't do what Al tells her and she'll do what Sleazar asks and if he doesn't believe her she'll leave. He throws her on the couch, jumps on her and demands respect. The sleazy music starts. She says "OK but you're hurting me Cesar." He says something like "One day I told you I'd teach you some games, well that day has arrived." He kisses her, bites her lip and heads south as the sleazy music reaches a crescendo.
Fernanda gives Miranda the skinny (no pun intended) on Flor's condition. Miranda says the baby HAS to be born and Flor HAS to live so she can be a mother. They embrace. Fern begs Miranda's forgiveness for being one of the worst women on earth, hablah, hablah, hablah. "That's OK Ma, I know you meant well." "I want the forgiveness of all my daughters." "OK Ma, we'll make it happen somehow." All the while the background choir is singing louder and louder. I had to fast forward through the rest of this crap.
Renata and Juan are at Flor's bedside with Faby. Flor is happy to hear they are married. She wants to have a party to welcome Juan into the family. Renata says she will cook. I wonder if it will be that pile of pureed green stuff she served before?
Outside Renata thanks Fern for saving Flor's life. Fern says Renata's smile is all the thanks she needs.
Gonzo is alone again...naturally. He recalls, YET AGAIN, "that night." He thinks there is something rotten in Denmark and he sips his cognac.
Lasagna must have enjoyed Sleazar's little journey because she says she's the happiest woman on earth. Gag me!! A knock on the door. It's Fabricio!
Alejandro pays a visit to Pamela at Luciano's request. He wants to explain things. He originally came to get revenge on Gonzalo. He tells her the story of "that night." His father wasn't killed but he suffered the rest of his days. When he fell in love with Miranda he decided to end his plans of vengeance but some of his actions were already set in motion and he's trying to correct them now. The doorbell rings...Miranda enters. She sees Alejandro and is impactada.

Mundo de Fieras--Tuesday, October 17th
Gabriel is talking with his colleague. How are things going with your wife. Bad, as always. Yeah, but nevertheless you sure are walking around with a big old smile.
Mari & Paulina are chatting nicely when JC calls Paulina to tell her his mom’s dying. JC is crying with Simona (??) Demian arrives and tries to intimidate the doctor/taxi driver. It doesn’t really work (they must get a lot of that sort of thing—plus in his work as a taxi driver I’m sure Leo deals with his fair share of surly people) and they send him off to talk to JC. JC & Demian have a tit for tat chat that is definitely on the cold and prickly end of the spectrum.
Chacal, in yet another disguise—we’ll call this one the Rainman, plants a bomb but is caught by Gabriel’s colleague (what is this guy’s name?). He buys Rainman’s excuse of it being his first day on the job but warns him to stay away from the cars. Rainman says, no worries, he won’t be around the cars anymore (sneer, sneer).
JC is praying (he can really turn on the waterworks when he needs to) and Paulina walks in. Comforting him, she accidentally touches his hand and then retracts. They whine about their impossible love. They almost kiss, but she breaks away.
Jocelyn & Miriam are kvetching. Jocelyn is all worked up and the wild beast in her is coming out (rooaar). J hates all of Gabe’s kids and she would like to see them dead.
Back in the world’s most colorful parking garage, Gabriel gets in his car. Chacal, now in his “Johnny-Depp-on-the-red-carpet disguise” makes the call to Demian who is on an overpass…waiting for the fireworks show to begin.
At the house, Gabriel’s made it home all safe and sound, Luisito & Mari greet him at the door. Ugh. The suspense builds outside the house as the chauffeur and a maid are flirting by the car of doom.
Jocelyn is at Miriam’s fancy-pants party. Eurotrash boytoy steals a kiss which brings out the beast in Miriam, she slaps him and then kisses him back.
JC asks Leonardo about his mom. She is better and will recover. Hugs all around.
Back on the overpass, Demian spots the approaching car. His accomplice hands him the illuminated remote control and he hits “select” with malevolent gusto. Kaboom.
Delores and the mother superior are discussing D’s many hidden secrets. She has a flashback. While at the same time her sweet baby boy is pulling a Cesar (from Heridas) and stealing kisses from a dopey, naïve girl…Belen.
Demian gives Chacal the payment, puts on a creep-o mask and laughs maniacally.
The maid answers the phone and learns that Gabe’s car has exploded. The family gathers and apparently Gabe’s life has been spared due to a simple misunderstanding…the maid told him to go to Cuernavaca and wait for Gabe, when really he was supposed to wait for Gabe so they could go to Cuernavaca. Poor Domingo.
During all this time the bathing suit show has started, shown several small suits and is now over. Jocelyn has been checking her cell phone intermittently, much to the disdain of Miriam. She’s all grouchy at Gabriel, yada yada yada. Otilia spies Federico comforting Jocelyn and gets the wrong idea…she confronts Miriam with this idea. Miriam cackles and calls her a fool (that was a good line, well-delivered). Federico & Otilia continue this little argument
Paulina & Pedro are in the bar discussing the family tree. Wah wah wah.
JC visits his much-improved mother and breaks the news about the cancelled wedding. Demian, ever the gracious hospital visitor, butts in and turns on the TV which shows the news about Gabriel’s car. They learn that Gabe wasn’t in the car…Regina’s psyched, Demian isn’t.
The news shows simultaneously at the bar and Paulina goes ballistic. JC calls Paulina to comfort her about her dad, she asks about his mom…they both have thought bubbles that say, “Aw man, if only he/she weren’t my cousin.”
Chacal is partying with a bottle of homemade hooch and a brand new chopper. Woo-hoo. Demian calls Chacal and tells him he failed. Aw man…now the party’s ruined. Chacal takes it really, really hard.
Leonardo (my husband calls him George Lopez Jr.) finds out that Mari is back at Gabe’s house and then yells at Elsa.
A tearful homecoming at Gabe’s house…until Jocelyn shows up all bitchy and accusatory. But wait, Gabe has the best excuse in the world to stand up a wife…his car blew up! She forgives him. Gush gush gush.
Paulina has a montage of memories while staring at her engagement ring.
Jocelyn and Miriam debrief. J complains (again) about Mari. She then goes to her dad to complain about her, and questions his motives for keeping her at the house.
Federico & Otilia (she’s kind of like a dimestore Stockard Channing) talk about divorce and she tells him that she’s going to kick him out on the street.
Gabriel confronts Demian at his office. He says that an innocent person was killed and he intends to blame D. They go back and forth with the threats and Gabriel leaves (this scene was totally lacking…I mean don’t they have stand-ins so that these guys know where to look?)
Jocelyn disingenuously “comforts” poor Paulina about falling in love with JC.
Candelaria and Mari are talking about Gabe’s brush with death. Candelaria knows something’s going on and asks Mari who admits that she’s in love with him. Cut to poor lovesick and presumably ill-fated Leonardo (at his taxi-driving day job).
Paulina returns the ring to JC. He tells her to keep it.
Leonardo is looking all hopeful as he walks up to Mari, who is working a jigsaw puzzle…and that is where the Tivo ended.

Mundo de Fieras Oct 16 2006
Why crazy people should not inherit $ that the rest of us poor folks could put to better use.
Disclaimer****This is the first time I have recapped and at best my Spanish is rudimentary so feel free to throw comments at me**** Also I started this last night at home and saved it as an e-mail attachment which apparently is now lost in the cyber world & I am recreating this from memory & a few notes….so hope I cover most plot points.
First I am going to begin with the broken-hearted young Paulina, who keeps remembering the happiest 45 seconds of her young life spent with Juan Cristobel (I am dubbing him JC Rulli); some sappy song plays in the background & she tears up. Diana comes to tell her she is glad Paulina has returned home & Paulina is happy Diana is no longer being held for the murder of her husband Rogelio’s mistress. Diana says something like “I confided in you before about the past”, so I’m thinking like which direction to twirl on a pole? But no that Rogelio does not sleep with Diana, but is sexing up his new mistress right down the hall. Diana has a sad look about this and Paulina looks all Poor Diana at her. I am guessing the sexing is taking place right there cause later Paulina goes into the same room and greets her brother (meanwhile sleazy mistress is gone, but sheets are askew). Damn isn’t Gabe like the coolest parent evah?
At some point two of the MacBeth weird sisters “Joselyn & Miriam” come in to fawn on Paulina in a cloying insincere manner and ask her about a “Wedding”, I believe she puts them off. Joselyn kinda glides when she walks and reminds me of Mortica Adams of the Adams Family Fame.
Meanwhile Mariangela (I’m shortening this to MA) has gone to visit her mother Aurora in the Hospice, Aurora suffers from Alzheimer’s and does not recognize MA, but still can knit a mean sweater. MA cries and Don Clemente comes up in a kindly older stalker like fashion to comfort MA and take her back to the big house.
Back the big house Joselyn is telling Miriam how glad she is that MA is gone, when the door opens and she’s back (can you viewers at home say; “Awkward” with a capital “A”, the sniveling little MA, with her protector Don Clemente). Joselyn and Miriam do a fake simpering meet and greet which wouldn’t have fooled the most obtuse, but does seem to work well with MA. Gabe rushes up all doin the 50 is the new 25 and can’t let MA know she is all shades of Welcome Back fast enough. Joselyn’s jealousy kicks up and she give Gabe a kiss as he is going to work or going somewhere and Don Clemente takes MA up the steps.
Hey I noticed there are tremendous stained glass windows next to the steps…Accident waiting to happen?
Thinking of MA, Gabe giggles like a school-girl with her first BoyBand Crush on the way to work…. When he gets to work, he & I am assuming Nic discuss his daughter and should she know she was adopted, due to her cuzzin loving.. Naahhhh she’ll get over it…
Also Gabe has something to stop Demian in business…the details escape me.
Okay now Miriam goes to work, but first tells Joselyn not to do anything crazy….Good Luck with that one. Miriam goes to work and Ingrid is standing around and tells Miriam that she saw Miriam kiss Demian the day before. Miriam slaps the living crap outta Ingrid and leaves for a while. Ingrid is just standing there like you do when someone slaps the living crap outta ya and don’t want them to know it hurt. Wow…I guess the labor laws in Mexico are even worse than here in Oklahoma.
Miriam steps out into the street and nearly gets run over (that woulda saved the expense of a bullet later), but some guy pushes her out of the way. Turns out he is some EuroTrash Model who wants a chance or something. You know where this is going, I swear if I was driving down the street I woulda had to yell, “Get a room”. Yeah Miriam is gonna eat this guy alive.
During all this Joselyn calls Karen who is still in Spain, during an earlier Paulina whine moment, we saw Karen saying she would never let JC/Paulina be together. Well this whole thing must of caused Karen some tension cause she is trying to relieve it by giving herself a massage, by rubbing some Spanish guy all over her. She continues as Joselyn is saying she wants her slutty daughter to return home, Karen gleefully tell Ma that Paulina is in love with her own cuzzin.
Flash to JC Rulli on a plane….he is having Paulina whine thoughts and she is also thinking of him in like a whine simulcast.
MA goes to the kitchen & says hi to Candelaria, Paulina comes in to say HI and we know the two girls are gonna become best Amigas…(I hope that whole thing of Gabe wanting to jump MA), doesn’t interfere with the friendship.
Later MA, Paulina & that kid “Tiny Tim Luisito” are tossing a ball around Luisito’s bedroom, he is just like his father & can’t squeal enough that he is sooooooo happy MA is back and please don’t ever leave him. It is really hard to watch this, cause that kid makes me laugh so hard I have tears & it is hard reading closed captions blurred and I swear I can’t understand anything he says….it sounds like a mewing Cat, mewing with a Spanish accent. Anyway, everyone is having a wonderful time, then Buzz Kill Joselyn comes in and says she doesn’t want Morris (I mean Luisito), playing with Paulina and MA. I guess Joselyn wants to be the kids only contact with the Human Race. Luisito now breaks into his patented crying act….which just causes me to laugh harder..I really don’t know what happened except I think Paulina stood up for her new bestest friend and Joselyn clung to a stuffed Tiger in a “Freudian” pose. MA mostly just looked like what the hell am I doing in this Telenovela….I don’t even get a good Galan.
Okay now we move to the DARK SIDE of the family tree….which actually is my favorite side.
Simona is in with Regina who is wearing the obligatory neck brace…they are discussing basically life sucking…Regina warns Simona about Tiberio & Belen. Simona says that Belen didn’t go to work…I guess cause Tiberio got her drunk the day before. Okay Belen is dusting furniture in the other “Big House”, here comes Tiberio sniffing around acting all sorry for the day before & Belen assures him it is fine. It is only a matter of time before he nails that.
****At this point let me note that Tiberio kinda plays to Demian like son Scott did to Dr. Evil, he is like one-calorie evil, just not evil enough. He also reminds me of Marty Feldman in "Young Frankenstein", there is just something way off with this guy and it is more than just a botched face lift****
Demian comes in the hospital room and Simona takes advantage of that and splits.
Demian says, “Hey that whole somersault down the staircase, certainly was not in any way my fault.” I guess he figured a blunt force blow to the head surely would cause a little amnesia…can’t blame a guy a for tryin, alas it was not to be. Regina says that the accident was indeed his fault. This causes what I am sure the 7 millionth time they have argued about this…the fact that Regina has to be repeatedly raped. Anyway Regina blurts out , “She hasn’t wanted Demian to touch her since their Wedding Nite.”
****This is a perfect shout-out for pre-marital sex****
This causes Demian to go into yet another rage, he grabs her face and squeezes really hard….Like the guy in a pirate movie when the other guy swallows the treasure map and first guy thinks he can force him to spit it out….Heaven intervenes at this point and two Pinguinos (sorry Sister Delores & Sister Sidekick) come in the room. After a little “Whatz Up?” conversation you can see the “WTF? Delores?”, thought bubble above Demian’s head. Now Tiberio comes in and of course he doesn’t know who the Nun is, but she is all like thought bubble “hijo”.
Later Demian tells Tiberio that they gotta get Chacal to whack Gabe once and for all.
Later Demian (at least I think it was Demian, not Tiberio) meets with Chacal in a Taco restaurant and they reminisce about the old good times.
FADE TO PAST:We get to see Delores visiting her brother Edgar (dead husband of Joselyn and father of slutty Karen). They are arguing on a yacht about Joselyn and Miriam & some big secret which of course we are not privy to. Chacal in full 007 wet suit slips over the side and proceeds to slip in and put poison in to two cocktails that are conveniently sitting there. Delores and Edgar decide to make amends and toast, each taking a drink before the argument begins again. She walks down into the cabin and Edgar drinking more walks around the deck, he falls down on the bench and see Chacal walking toward him with a knife. “Who are you?” asks Edgar “The Angel of Death” Chacal answers. (Actually he may have said your Guardian Angel), but proceeds to slice Edgar up big time. Delores too has been poisoned and she comes up on deck sees Edgar and Chacal and faints. Chacal drags her body over by Edgar’s body and rubs Edgar’s blood all over Delores body (in a rather suggestive pervy manner I might add)….
BACK TO PRESENT: There is also a scene where Chacal thinks about when he was in the Criminal Nuthouse and he and Demian were involved in killing a prison guard.
Anyway at this point it seems like Gabe’s days are numbered……
Meanwhile Leo is driving his cab and at this point it just shows him in the front seat yammering on and on and on about how happy he is (cause of MA), I think he is like special kids that can’t read silently…he can’t think silently….but the camera pans to the back of the cab and there is my favorite cuzzin lover JC Rulli…who tells Leo that actually life ain’t that grande…He has lost the love of his life…yes that 45 seconds he’ll never get back again and his mother is in the hospital.
What are the odds? Your mother’s doctor picks you up at the airport while moonlighting as a Taxi Driver? It makes those Grey Anatomy doctors look like lazy American Slackers.
Leo drives him to the hospital and they rush in only to find “Regina” in the midst of a heart attack and it looks like Demian did not directly cause it ….once again what are the odds.
Stay tuned cause it looks like Demian is gonna blow Gabe to smittereeens later in the week…Will this make Regina realize Demian is serious about that whole brother loving thing?

La Fea Más Bella #125 10/16/06 Yummy....
The cuartel stands out side of the “Only for Women” show and debate going into the show. Sara says that either they’re all going, or none of them are going. Martha agrees. Lety and Irmita begrudgingly agree. Lola worries about her kids and how they’re doing with Efren.
Marcia talks to Alicia about Fernando. Marcia tells Alicia that Fernando is now involved with Lety’s personal life. Alicia says that Lety and the cuartel are going to the “Only for Women” show. Marcia says that what they do in their personal life does not interest her. She adds that if Lety disappeared from the planet, she would be the happiest woman in the world. Fernando is off with her again. Alicia says that Fernando started acting strange when she told him where Lety had gone. It was like he was in a trance and then he locked himself in his office. Marcia is worried. She never planned to be away from Mexico for this long. Alicia tells her that she should come home. Marcia says that would be impossible, because Luigi needs her. She asks Alicia to keep an eye on Fernando. Fernando walks in and asks Alicia what’s going on with her. She tells him nothing. He gets on the elevator. Marcia tells Alicia to follow him. She follows him to the elevator, comes back to tell Marcia she’ll be her private investigator and then runs after Fernando.
Efren plays with the kids. He brushes his daughter’s hair. Next he brushes one of the boy’s hair. He has a surprise for them. He tries to explain to his kids about the separation between Lola and him. He tells that he has a new significant other. His girlfriend…she’s…well…I want you to meet her. He’s going to bring her out to meet them. She’s very pretty. She cooks pastry, well no, rice. Well, at least she knows what to order when we go to a restaurant. He brings Yazmin out to applause. The kids insult her.
Tomas eats. Erasmo complains about him and how Tomas is always eating. Tomas talks about his good luck with the arbolitos. Erasmo asks where is Lety. The phone rings. Tomas thinks it’s Fernando and that he wants to yell at Tomas about the money he lost. Tomas tries to keep him from the phone, but he snatches it away. Lety tells him that she’s going to a party with her friends because the commercial went so well. Erasmo asks where are they going. Lety tells them that they’re going to the theatre. Erasmo doesn’t like the fact that she’s in the “street” by herself with these women and that she rode in a taxi. She should come home right away. Julieta convinces him to let her stay. The women complain about the wait. Lety tells the cuartel that her father wasn’t going to let her go, but her mom helped convinced him. Two women walk by saying it’s a two hour wait, and that you have to have tickets already because there aren’t anymore. The cuartel doesn’t know what to do, they’re very disappointed.
Yazmin and Efren talk. She tells him that Lola has turned his kids against her. They hate her! He says that they won’t hate her once they get to know her. Yazmin says this is all the fault of Lola and her friends. They have another conversation about Efren wanting Yazmin to know and get along with his kids. Yazmin agrees and says that when she’s done, they’ll look at her like another mother. Yazmin welcomes the kids to her house. They’re always a party here. Yazmin assures them that she will never tell them that they don’t have permission. They can do whatever they want, even watch TV. Efren nervously doesn’t protest and kind of giggles in the background. The kids run around the front room and start jumping up and down. They look like they’re prepared for a pillow fight.
Saimon exits a cab, Paco in tow. They’re in drag; really bad drag. The line is long, but they’ve spotted the women in the front of the line. At the door, the cuartel and doormen yell back and forth about the problem with the tickets. Sara wants to attack, but PM has an idea.
The kids play soccer in the front room. Yazmin complains that they’re going to destroy the furniture; Efren says it’s her fault. Efren tries to interrupt, gets kicked and then plays along. He kicks the ball into the lamp, but continues to play.
Saimon and Paco watch as PM tries to charm the doorman. Saimon wants to attack, but Paco holds him back. They go back and forth about what to do. Saimon’s sure that PM is deceiving him. PM continues to pour on the charm, in some strange throaty voice. The security guards behind laugh when PM says he looks exactly like some celebrity. He says that he thinks he looks more like Antonio Banderas. Saimon fumes in the background. The doorman says they can go in and sit in the front row if PM gives him a kiss. She kisses him on the cheek. He complains that it was not on the lips. She said he only asked for a kiss; he did not say where. He lets the girls into the show. Lety attempts to run the other direction, but they pull her into the building. Paco and Saimon fight over what to do next. Lety and Irmita pause on the stairs. Sara urges them along into the show. Saimon harasses the door man about the kiss. Paco offers him a kiss to get in. The door man says no and allows them to enter. The rest of the ladies protest. Gratuitous photos of men. (Why is that bald guy in every single novela?) Some are hot, some not so much. The women go down the hall. They try to find the room for the show. They all have an opinion about where they should go. They open the door to the room where the men are warming up. The bald guy points at them. They waive. Another doorman tries to push them out of the room. They ask the men for autographs. One complies and then the rest decide to sign too. Juana asks for a kiss from the bald guy, he acquiesces. Another man practically assaults PM. Each gets their respective man. Irmita and Lety remain outside. Saimon and Paco walk up to them and say hi. Irmita and Lety walk away from the strange women who are uglier than anyone in the cuartel. The men look in and see PM feeling one man’s muscles. She tells him that she doesn’t have a boyfriend. Go Lola! She gets two men! All the others talk to their respective men. Sara makes bad jokes. Irmita and Lety are still outside. Fernando somehow got into the building. Alicia follows. Fernando yells at the ticket office. The doorman tells him that he can’t go in because he’s a man. Fernando says he’s urgently looking for a woman. The doorman tells him that he’s sorry, he can’t enter. Fernando wonders what he should do while standing next to the “Only for Women” sign. (I’m not sure I’ll be able to handle it if he pretends to be one of those guys…okay, Amanda…breathe…take a sip of water…breathe…)
Lety and Irmita talk about how they want to go home, but Irmita says this is good for the rest of the cuartel. Saimon and Paco continue to watch. The women continue to make rounds with the men backstage. They tell the men how to spell out their names. Sergio Mayer as himself walks into the room; all the girls flock around him. He says that he’ll give autographs after the show. Lola explains that they ended up back in the dressing room by error. Sergio tells the doorman that the ladies need to leave. He waives and thanks them for coming. He asks the men who let the women in. They point to the bald guy.
The women stand outside talking about the handsome men that they just met. Irmita says that since they saw the men, they can go. PM says she wants to see the men dancing. They head off to the room to watch the men dance with Saimon and Paco following. Fernando sees an open door. He thanks the doorman and walks toward the door. He gets caught. The guy says he’ll be fired if he lets Fernando into the show. Fernando says that he has to find his girlfriend. Alicia overhears this and gapes her mouth. Fernando begs some more, but the doorman keeps saying no. Fernando holds out his hand to thank the guy for doing a good job. He pulls him down and throws him to the floor. Alicia runs over to the doorman, makes sure he’s okay and tries to open the doorman. Fernando shut and locked the door. The doorman says she can’t go in; he has the keys, but he’s not going to let her into the show. Alicia tries to break down the door.
Inside the ballroom the cuartel looks for a seat while an announcer works the crowd. Lety gets into one of the dancer cages. The announcer asks her to get down. The cuartel comes in, waiving. They take their spot at the front of the stage. The announcer has them booed for being late. Sara says it’s not their fault. Irmita and Lety look miserable. The announcer starts the show. Saimon and Paco enter and run in front of the stage. They bow and then run off to the table to sit next to Martha. In come the men. Martha yells at Paco for looking at her. She stands up to turn around and look at the men who are still dancing. The ladies go crazy. Lots of dancing. Paco and Saimon look away. Irmita comforts Lety.
Alicia stands outside the building. Marcia calls and wants to know what happened when Alicia followed Fernando. Fernando saw her. She apologizes and says that she’s going home. They won’t let her in, and she doesn’t have tickets. Alicia listens. She sighs and says she’ll try to find Fernando.
Fernando runs along the hall trying to find Lety. He hides from the doormen behind a plant and then yells that he (Fernando) went the other way. Back at the show, the men have taken off their vests. They’re still dancing to the same song. PM yells for them to take off their pants. The song ends, and the women clap. Paco dances; Saimon says he should be a decent women and not dance. The announcer comes back on and talks some more. Lety looks miserable; she’s thinking about her fight with Fernando. New song, new outfit. Yummy sailors. Lety complains to Irmita that she doesn’t want to be there. More dancing and disrobing. Paco screams. Martha thinks he’s acting weird. Paco says that he’s just not used to seeing this type of man. Lety gets up to leave, but is pushed closer to the stage. Fernando runs away some more. He really sucks at hide and seek, but luckily the other men are worse. He runs out and ends up on stage. The bald guy yells at him. Fernando calls for Lety and she yells back. He runs to her, but is pulled back on stage. He takes off his jacket. Paco, Saimon and the cuartel want to know what Fernando is doing there. Saimon and Paco realize how ugly they look. Juana says she doesn’t want to see that; Sara says e she wants to see. Fernando poses with the men, but in fully clothed.
Sergio Mayer yells at Fernando. They argue back and forth. The men pick up Fernando and put him down right in front of Lety. He and Lety run off and waive good-bye to Irmita. Sergio says that the show can not be continued. The girls wonder where Fernando took Lety. They must be going to the office. The women decide to go after them. Irmita says they should leave them alone.
Alicia hands her valet ticket to a valet. Marcia calls, again. She can’t sleep. She asks Alicia if she encountered Fernando. Alicia has good information for Marcia. Fernando told the doorman at the show that his girlfriend is deceiving him. Marcia asks what happened next. Alicia says she doesn’t know. Fernando went in, but she couldn’t. Marcia yells at her that she told Alicia to go in. Alicia decides to give it another try. She tells the valet to be careful with her car because it’s expensive.
Lety and Fernando run from the security guards in the hallways. Lety wants to know what happened with him. Why did he not pay any attention to her in the office and then follow her here? He blames her for all the stuff that happened to him that night. She laughs at his troubles. He says that she’s deceived him. She did not intend to come here, the cuartel brought here. She thinks its funny that he was so preoccupied with her. Where should they go now?
Will Lety reveal the truth behind the video?
Can Fernando own up to his true feelings?
Will the cuartel figure out what's going on? Will Alicia?
Much love to all! Have a great evening!

Heridas-- Monday, October 16
At Casa San Llorente, Renata tells Gonzalo that Flo is in danger of losing the baby and has been taken to the hospital. He comforts her and they leave for the hospital.
In the hospital room Dr. Ben delivers the ‘grave’ news to Gonzalo & Fernanda, that it all depends on Flo’s heart being strong. Flo stirs awake and whinges out a couple of things to Gonzalo. He offers to let her see her mom and she says she never wants to see that woman.
Dr. Ben & Juan are discussing the hopelessness of Flo’s situation. They get some results back and see that she needs a blood transfusion. Dr. Ben is so smart that he knows without even needing to consult the inventory that the hospital doesn’t have any of that particular type of blood.
Fernanda & Gonzalo discuss Flo’s paternity issues outside the chapel. She asks that he put himself in her place…he considers it and they leave together.
Mama Amparito & Raul make plans to visit the hospital later that day. She blesses him as he leaves for university. Carola comes in, ready for her job. Amparo blesses her as she leaves for work. Hmmm…all these blessings she’s giving away, doesn’t she deserve one herself?
Cesar & Lisania are on the phone talking about the situation at the hospital. Cesar asks who all is there…the whole family. He “advises” (in his snake-y evil way) Lisania to tell her mom not to go there. She does so.
Renata, Miranda & Gonzalo head home to rest, bathe and change. Juan breaks the “real” news to Fab & Alejandro…Renata’s situation is critical. Alejandro offers his blood for the transfusion but then realizes that he doesn’t have the right kind.
Carola is at her job “exam.” She has done well and is a candidate for the job. The HR lady asks about her former job and references…she ‘fesses up and gets the job.
Cesar shows up at the hospital and he and Alejandro have a little dust-up in the waiting room. Fernanda comes in and tells them they can’t find any AB negative blood. Naturally, Cesar has the right type of blood and is the only choice available (in all of Mexico City, apparently). Alejandro is angry and calls Daira to ask her where the bloody hell she is and what kind of blood she has. It turns out that Lisania has the right type and he tells them to get down to the hospital right away.
Back at the house Renata & Miranda talk about Flo. Miranda blames everything on Bertha and asks Gonzalo that when she comes back, she not be allowed to stay at the house and that the past be forgotten. Gonzalo says they are going to talk about everything, including who Renata’s mother is. Miranda, talking to herself, says that although her sister is sick all she can think about is marrying Alejandro. She is afraid that if she doesn’t do it right away, she’ll lose him.
During the blood transfusion, Cesar is thinking how great this is…since nothing is free in this life and he is doing such a big favor to everyone. Cesar plants another seed of doubt in Juan’s mind about Renata. Um…maybe it’s just me but was Juan under any illusions about what kind of girl Renata was when they met, got to know one another and got married?
Charo tells Miranda about having looked for the envelope. They deduce that it must be at the hacienda, but when Miranda tries to call Gabino, she doesn’t get through. Charo also tells Miranda about how Flo threatened her. Miranda becomes even more determined in her resolve to kick Bertha out of their lives.
Roman visits Amparo and although she is initially indignant that he should come over after his recent confession, he ends up proposing marriage (in a direct and unromantic way).
Fab tries to defend Cesar to Alejandro but he refuses to believe that he has become sort of saint. Alejandro tells him that nothing Cesar does is free and sooner or later he will give him a bill for services rendered to Flo. Gonzalo and the girls show up and Fab lets them know that Cesar donated blood. Cesar comes down the hallway with a nurse, looking drained (ha ha) and everyone stands around staring at each other.

Heridas Friday Oct 13
The scene where Gabino tells about Alejandro’s fight with El Guapo is loooong. However, this is ok because Pamela is wearing a flimsy low-cut top. The group splits up to take care of various things to secure the house.
Miranda and Pamela go see Florencia and Nuria, who are sitting in a room that is wide open to the outdoors, completely the opposite of what they planned in the previous scene. Nuria says she prefers to be ‘here inside’ since it’s so hot out. This room is basically outside. There are walls, but the doorways are wide open and the ceiling is 50% open to the sky. Is there some magic air conditioning that keeps this cooler than ‘outside?’ There are sun rays shining through the whole room. Argh. For some reason this drives me crazy. Anyway, Pamela and Miranda run off to the library.
Fernanda comes into Amparo’s kitchen, anxious for news about Carola’s interview. Carola isn’t back yet. Amparo invites her to stay for dinner, Renata is going to cook it! They talk about her, how she shared her money with the family, she is cooking and taking part in everything. Fernanda feels vindicated, “I knew it! I knew she wasn’t a bad person! It was Bertha’s influence.” She believes this is just one step short of Renata accepting her as her mother.
Daira is telling Alejandro that she doesn’t know where Lasagna went. Renata and the other girls don’t know where she is, Alejandro knows how easily influenced Lasagna can be so he’s worried, they’ll just have to wait until they hear from her. Luciano arrives and says his contacts have news of Bertha, everything Alejandro suspected is true.
Fernanda meets Charo at an outdoor café. Charo tells her about the envelope she found and what Tomasa said in the letter.
Luciano tells Alejandro that there will be a show in Paris featuring Alfredo Luque’s designs, and something about how they are all owned by Berth de Aragon. Alejandro flips out, “No puede ser!” He says first thing in the morning they are going to Paris.
Miranda and Pamela discuss Nati’s chocolate. Miranda says they are going to Mexico in the morning, if she doesn’t get married right away she feels like it will never happen.
Ha ha Luciano asks a frantic Daira “what about the harmony of Feng Shui and all your yoga?” Alejandro says right now none of that will work. Miranda calls Alejandro’s cell phone and they discuss the whole El Guapo deal. Miranda tells Al “don’t tell anyone what I’m about to tell you, not Daira, Lasagna, nobody. The only one here who knows is Pamela” Pamela, who has been sitting calmly in the background looking pretty as always. She tells Alejandro that she’s coming back in the morning for them to get married. That’s the big secret? Whoop de doo.
Charo tells Fern more about how she found the envelope and how evil Bertha is. They also discuss how crazy the idea of Lucas killing Tomasa was. Fern comforts her, telling her she did the right thing, she had no choice but to do what Bertha said.
Al, like any man, says “uh uh tomorrow? That’s not what we talked about.” But in the end he says sure, whatever you want. He gets off the phone and Daira says “something happened?” Al replies “oh uh things at the hacienda, you know.” Then he tells Luciano, who just finished making the plans for Paris, to cancel the whole thing. He’s not going to travel tomorrow. He leaves without explanation. Daira and Luciano are a bit stunned and try and figure out what’s going on.
Cesar gives Sanson some instructions about what they’ll be doing in the near future. Sanson is remarkably servile for being the leader of a gang before.
Miranda announces to everyone that they’ll return to Mexico in the morning. She says it’s for everyone’s safety.
Roman arrives at Cesar’s place. They talk about a couple things I didn’t quite catch, then Roman tells Cesar to leave everyone alone that lives near Fernanda and Francisco’s family. Cesar grabs him but Roman pulls a gun on him and tells him “calm down!” Cesar says he paid Roman for a job he didn’t do and he owes him. About Nuria, she is registered at her school as the natural daughter of Bertha de Aragon. Roman says “now we’re even.” Roman leaves. Cesar calls Sanson and tells him that the ‘estupido’ left, follow him and kill him. That’s what he was hired for. Then he tells him self that Nuria is Bertha’s illegitimate daughter and he’s the only one who knows!
Francisco calls a family meeting to announce something important. Renata is in the kitchen cooking, the rest of them are all in the living room sitting around. Francisco does a president Vicente Fox impression first, then after a full minute of “good news, really this is good news” he says that they are going to have a car. They all go nuts. From what I can tell, Francisco is going to have a taxi to drive. They are all excited, they all want to learn to drive. Renata smiles at their excitement after first not understanding. The smile seems genuine, the first time I’ve seen that look on her face.
Carola prays for good luck on her first day of work the next day, I think. I don’t think it is still the interview, I believe it’s the job. I may be wrong.
The family is still going nuts about having a car, Renata goes back to the kitchen and Amparo follows her. Amparo explains that they never had a car before. She then tells Renata that she admires her strength in adjusting to the new situation and she’ll help her with anything she needs. Renata says good, help me convince Juan that…. She is interrupted by Juan calling them back to the other room where they are all laughing and having a good time. Francisco tells Renata that she is like a good luck charm, since she came good things have happened and she is a daughter to him now. She flashes back to Gonz telling her that he cancelled her credit cards after her drug problem. Then another flashback to Bertha telling her how everything is her mother’s fault, why she has a bad relationship with her father. Back to Francisco’s long hug, she starts crying, I think happily, at being part of a family for real.
Gonzalo is at home thinking over what Cesar told him before, trying to figure it out. He realizes that Bertha is the only one who knows everything.
Pamela asks Miranda if she’s sure, Miranda says more sure than anything ever. Pamela has decided to keep wearing the flimsy tank top, which I appreciate. Wait, it’s not for me, it’s still THE SAME DAY. Two of the worker women enter, one younger, the old lady is Nati. The younger one says that cocolbosh is a special delicious recipe of some sort made from cocoa plants, only some of the old people know how to make it, I think the old lady here knows how, this I’m sure will save the day for the San Llorentes. Cripes, it isn’t even some special method for processing the chocolate, it’s some new age positive energy/charka/feng shui thing. Something about having the right energy in your body when you process the cocoa. Can you say Deus Ex Machina? “crap we’re in a hole here, what can we do?” “how about if they align the chakras of the cocoa trees?” “BRILLIANT.”
Renata presents dinner, to great applause. Francisco lectures his son Joel, I think, on how to talk to a lady after some rude remark. Everyone starts eating slowly, it appears that the food sucks, turns out they are in shock about how good it is. They all dig in, Renata is happy. I don’t know why I’m enjoying the rehabilitation of Renata so much, I’m so cynical about everything else, but her storyline really appeals to me. I have absolutely no idea why.
We see Gonzalo eating alone fade to the Francisco family all together and happy, to show the contrast, then back to lonely old Gonzalo leaving the dinner table. As Charo comes in to clean up, she decides that if she stays she’ll go crazy, so she’s going to leave without telling anyone.
Nati tells Miranda about the fantastic tantric method of processing chocolate. Florencia comes in saying she has a problem, she’s bleeding and something is happening with her baby! Perhaps she hasn’t realized yet that she can’t possibly be pregnant and keep that nice slim body. Who knows what alternate reality her mind is in. She stands there staring into space, like she’s trying to see back into our dimension.
Lasanga is on the phone with Al, he’s yelling at her to tell him where she is so he can come and talk. She’s at Cesar’s place but won’t tell him. She says it’s all his fault, she wants to die. Cesar takes the phone away from her to hear Al say that he’s going to get everything back from Bertha, don’t be stupid. Cesar hangs up the phone. He asks Lasagna what documents? She tells him everything. “Bertha is now the owner of our entire fortune!” Cesar twitches.
Miranda tries to take care of Flor. She calls Fabricio. Pamela and the equally fine and equally flimsy tank top wearing Nuria breeze in first, hello ladies, then Fab comes in, in a panic, to see what’s going on. Fab rushes of for a doctor. For tells Miranda to call Fernanda.
Lasagna explains everything further to Cesar about the portfolios. He flashes back to looking through the portfolio and finding nothing but pictures of jewelry.
Renata and family continue their happy meal, Fernanda shows up. They tell her that Renata made the food, Fern says good for you! Renata won’t look at her and says she’s leaving to go to bed. Fern says wait, then her phone rings, it’s Miranda to tell about Florencia. Miranda puts Flor on the phone. Renata grabs Juan to talk in the other room, I think she’ll try and convince him to go to the hacienda to help. In the other room, she calls Alejandro because he can get them to Tabasco right away. She tells Al what’s up, he says they’ll go right now. Al runs out to tell Daira and Luciano what’s going on and to make preparations. Al leaves. Renata and Juan tell Fern that Al is on the way. Renata begs Fern to save Flor’s baby. Fern says “you don’t understand fully what I’m telling you, but I would give my own life to save Flor and her baby.”
Lasagna the dumbass wants to stay with Cesar, he convinces her that she should leave. He pumps her for information and says maybe Al will try and take her back to Italy. She says she’ll just say she has to stay to get married with Cesar. “whoa whoa whoa no that wouldn’t be a good idea.” He says because he wouldn’t be accepted in the family. Whatever. She believes it all. Dumbass.

Ugly Bettys, Letys, Lottes, etc. of the world
The amount of ugliness varies widely from country to country, and I'm sure there are cultural factors at play that I don't know about, making some Bettys uglier than they may appear to US eyes. I find the one from Spain particularly frightening, and her Armando/Fernando/whatever particularly handsome. YMMV. Enjoy!

Mundo de Fieras - Friday, 10/13/06
Demian, for his part, is coming back from his bit of nookie with Miriam and should be feeling more generous of spirit, but when the supposed nun calls out to him he says don’t look for any donations from him. "We don’t give alms to the poor here." The nun asks, “Don’t you remember me, Demian?” He stops and stares and is surprised to see Dolores in a habit and out of prison. “Yeah, ok. Dolores. I’ve come back to recover my son and to find out who killed Edgar.”
Gabe finally sees Mariangela crossing the street in town somewhere and asks her what she’s doing. She tells him she’s been looking for work and doesn’t feel comfortable returning to the mansion to work for him, so not to make it any more difficult than it is now that Luisito and Don C found her and begged her to think about coming back there. Gabe begs her too. He needs her. HE needs her, too. (Puh-leese! Have some dignity. She must be Paulina’s age or less! Can we say ‘mid-life crisis’ here?)
Demian starts laughing and smirks, “So where’s the costume party?” (Great line, and a great delivery from Cesar, as always.) Dolores refuses to be intimidated (that habit is working its magic on her) and says she isn’t going to give him any explanations. Delores says, "I want to see my son, Tiberio. I want to see our son." Demian refuses, saying since he thinks his mother is dead, and since Delores is an ex-con, a murderess and such, it just wouldn’t be suitable. Delores spits back that it is all a lie and she will prove it.
Gabe is still trying to beg Mariangela to come back to the mansion for his sake and she says, no. What happened between them is impossible to let go further since he’s a married man. Eventually she gets tired of this sing-song and runs off embarrassed and frustrated.
Back in his office, Demian is lost in thought over Delores’ return. He knows she means trouble and wonders if she’s really taken the vows of a nun. He figures it will be very amusing her proving that!
Delores returns to the nuns’ chapel and, with wonderful strains of (I believe) Albinoni’s Adagio in G Minor in the background, prays that the Lord will illuminate the way to her son’s heart.
Mariangela returns to Leo and Candy’s house when perky Teresa returns and reminds her that she’s nothing more than a mooch.
Gabe returns home and Jos glides over and offers lunch in a most (irritatingly) cloyingly sultry voice. He ignores her and runs upstairs to Luisito’s room. The two talk about how they all failed to get her to come back. (This boy cries, I swear, anytime anybody says a word to him.) When Jos comes in and asks what the great tragedy is, Gabe tells her their son is upset that Mariangela won’t come back. Lui says he loved her from the moment he met her and that she and he got along so well. He bawls and screams, “Why did you have to run her off, Mommy?”
Mariangela sits in the small living room at Candy’s and remembers her mother’s words to return to the care of Don Clemente at the mansion house. She cries as she remembers Little Lui’s visit with Don C, begging her to come back with them. She prays for direction and cries over her mother’s sickness.
At the Alzheimer’s hospice Don Clemente is visiting with Aurora and again she’s in a state in which she doesn’t recognize him except as the man telling her the most beautiful love story she’s ever heard. He continues his love story that is really their history and we find out how the two fell in love back in the day.
Pedro is still typing very late into the evening in his huge bedroom suite when Diana walks in and starts chatting with him. He tells her he’s finishing and besides, his hands are hurting. So she picks up his hand and looks as if she’s going to massage it when her husband, Rogelio walks in on the two of them. Rogelio accuses them of having a lover’s tryst behind his back and threatens the two of them not to try anything further because it is so obvious to him that Pedro is in love with Diana. He leaves and Pedro, embarrassed for the two of them, tells Diana not to worry about this since Rogelio is only boasting in front of him and wouldn’t do anything.
Delores is praying still at the chapel and the Mother Superior comes in. Delores asks her for guidance and says she’s resigned to living a life of pain, but she doesn’t want her son to suffer because of her. (Of course, if she only knew what a worthless creepy jerk he’s become thanks to his real father, Demian.......)
Speaking of Tiberio, he’s literally wining and dining Belan, Simona’s daughter, at lunch. The animal is eagerly waiting to see her get tipsy and lose control of her good judgement. In fact, Belan warns him she’s not used to drinking alcohol, but he insists. Belan tries to please her new boss. Unfortunately, for him, she passes out there at the table before they get to order and he’s forced to take her home to her momma. He lies and says it must have been something she ate. (I’m thinking, just smell the alcohol on her, Simona!)
Diana enters her bedroom suite and finds her husband making a date with another one of his “entries” in his still current, little black book. Disgusted, she walks out and sits down on the living room couch when Gabe walks in and sees her staring woefully at a photograph of Rogelio. She apologizes for being the cause of such a scandal, but Gabe tells her he knows someone warned the media just to kick up such a fuss and that was not her fault. He asks if she’s still in love with his son. Diana says yes, but with the way he despises her so she’s uncertain of things. Gabe assures her that if she wants to divorce Rogelio some day he’ll back her and make sure she is taken care of. She says not to worry, she doesn’t have the courage to leave and Rogelio would prevent it in any event. (This is definitely another woman who needs to get her priorities straight! Take the money, honey, and RUN!)
At the cabstand, the guys are listening to Mayeya’s story about the couple she had as a fare, and how she beat the boy up with her shoe when he told his girlfriend that she could only prove her love for him by letting him take her to bed. Leo and the guys told Mayeya they couldn’t believe her attitude, but Leo says she did the right thing by chasing him off and refusing to take the couple to the hotel. “Those men are not men, only cowards!”
Ingrid and Miriam are returning home and they pass Rogelio as he is leaving. Ingrid stops Rogelio and rubs herself all over him like a purring cat begging to be petted (in more ways than one). “Wow, what a scent!” Miriam just ignores it all and continues reading her mail. He looks disgustedly at Ingrid and walks out the door. Miriam keeps on reading her mail while telling Ingrid not to have any illusions about Rogelio, that he’s too particular a man to ever be interested in the likes of her. "So, don't even think about it!" She walks off towards her office with Ingrid frowning and stomping angrily, following behind. (Perfect deadpan delivery in this scene from Helena Rojo!)
Leo and Candy are dreaming of his graduation day. Leo is also wondering about his real mother and why she abandoned him.
Miriam calls Karen in Barcelona to see if she’s finished the job she was sent to do. Karen says not yet, but tells her Paulina is on the way back to Mexico and she’ll learn all about it when she arrives. She tells her that Paulina fell in love with Demian’s son, Juan C. This makes Miriam hang up and remember making love with Demian earlier. She confesses to herself that Demian is the only man who’s ever made her feel that way (gets her blood boiling) in bed. If they’d not been so ambitious their lives would have turned out differently (and perhaps they’d be a permanent item?).
Joselyn tries to seduce her husband again, but he’s not in the least bit interested. Pedro saves him by running in yelling excitedly that Paulina has come home from Spain. Gabe races out leaving Jos angrily sulking and frustrated once again.
Downstairs Paulina and Gabe hug and he wants to know why she and her boyfriend broke up. She finally tells him that she and Damian’s son, Juan Cristobal, found out they were first cousins and she is going to try to put him out of her mind and start over. Gabe could tell her the truth, that she’s an adopted daughter but thinks it might cause her too much grief. (Selfishness on his part is more like it.) So Gabe later calls his lawyer, Nicolas, for advice. Nic, of course, suggests he just ignore the truth and suggests Paulina just probably has a simple, passing crush on the kid. Gabe agrees.
In the meantime, Karen pays a visit to Juan C who is thinking about his "Paulina problem". Juan opens the door and in walks Karen. First thing she does is try to play the vamp and drops her dress and tells Juan she’s there to help him forget Paulina. Juan C. looks a bit tempted, but in the end tells her that he’s not going to dirty her memory so quickly. He tells her to “cover up” and get out. She leaves in a pout.
Demian arrives home and finds Regina sitting in her dressing gown in front of her mirror. He tries to seduce her again but Regina begs and pleads for him to leave her alone. She cannot take him near her any more and tells him not to touch her ever again. He answers back that she is his wife and must fulfill her obligation. It can be willingly or forcibly, but she belongs to him. He begins to paw at her again but she breaks away screaming that he’s raped her from the first night they were married. She asks him why he had to and he says he enjoys it that way. They fight at the top of the huge staircase where he accuses her of rather having Gabe in her bed (who wouldn’t?) and she screams to let go of her, twists away, and falls all the way to the bottom, unconscious.
Demian is shocked to see her possibly lying dead at the bottom of the stairs and limps down the staircase pleading for her not to die. He admits how he really loves and idolizes her, but cannot stand how she despises him. This he then blames all on his brother who will never let him be happy. Simona comes running in then and finally he comes to his senses and sends her to call for an ambulance. Then he goes back to crazily telling the unconscious Regina how he needs her to love him and that she is going to love him over and over and over.
Leo, Candy and Mariangela are now eating in their little house. Leo tells Mariangela that his professors have told him her mother has no hope for a cure for this disease. There isn’t one. He hugs her as Teresa walks back in and sees them hugging.
In Spain, Karen swears that she won’t let Juan get rid of her that easily and will make him hers. Juan gets a call from Simona about his mother’s fall and she asks him to return home. He’d just decided to return to Mexico anyway (to find Paulina) and tells Simona he’ll be there first thing.
Gabe then gets a call from Simona about Regina and says he’s going to the hospital immediately. Jos walks in and is upset that he’s going to see Regina, but Gabe insists if she’s trying to become a different person then this is as good a place to start convincing him as any. He leaves and she curses at the thought of Gabe now running off to Regina.
Leo is called in on the case with one of his professors. Regina only says she cannot remember how it happened and only wants to forget. Gabe arrives in the waiting room and Demian immediately yells at him for daring to come.
Jos tells her mother she just isn’t patient enough to continue the farse. Miriam tells her that she won’t accomplish anything without patience and will only drive Gabe away if she harasses Paulina. Jos says she’ll kill Gabe before letting him leave her. Miriam advises her to persevere and continue to pretend being patient. Jos replies that she is not to doubt that she will see Gabe dead before allowing him to be another’s.

La Fea Más Bella #124 10/13/06 The one with the phone calls
Lety passes through his office. He waits until she goes back into her room before resuming his conversation, but Marcia doesn't wait. She shouts, "Do what you want with Lety, and with whomever else you fancy!" (I think) and hangs up on him. He rolls his eyes.
He stares at the image of Tomas and Lety on his wicked cool Mac for another second or two, then gets rid of it. "It burns," he complains. Just then, Lety comes out of her office. She looks like she's going to say something to him, then changes her mind and goes back into her office and slams the door. Fern brings the image back up and starts playing with the little car on his desk. He mumbles angrily about Tomas being an idiot "with that face" and Lety comes out of her office again, silently tosses a note on his desk, and stomps out of his office. He makes a silly face as he reads it: "See you tomorrow, Don Fernando." He reads it out loud a couple more times in a silly voice (imitating Lety) and crumples it up. He glares at the picture again and speculates that she's probably going to plan her wedding, and then wonders if it's going to take place before his and Marcia's.
Lola is on the phone with PM, who is amazed that El Cheque has agreed to look after the kids, but she still doesn't know what she's going to tell Saimon. Alicia overhears them talking about the "solo para mujeres" show and is intrigued. Lety comes by and wants to leave right away, but Martha has to call Paco (aka Mr. Martha) first.
Paco is watching telenovelas or something and eating popcorn with the kids. Martha tells him that Lola's ex (Lola goes off as usual when he's mentioned) will be coming for the kids. Paco says, "you mean 'el Cheque'? Is it a miracle?" She says since Paco has that meeting with the taxidrivers' union, she's going to a "drinkers anonymous" meeting. (The captions say "tragones" and that's what it sounds like she's saying, but it doesn't make much sense.) After their conversation, Paco wonders if this is that surprise Saimon told him about.
Some time later (I'm telling this slightly out of order), El Cheque gets to Martha's place to pick up the kids. They, especially his own kids, are very happy to see him. In fact, they said that when Paco told them he was coming, they couldn't believe it. (Those poor kids! That's so sad!) He tells them they're going to his house, and he has a surprise. They're all excited. Martha's daughter says they can't leave until Paco gets out of the bathroom. She goes to fetch him. Well, actually she just yells up from the bottom of the stairs - she wants to know if she can go with her friends. Paco yells back that he can't come down, he's in a hurry, but go ahead. El Cheque teases the kids about the surprise.
Back at Conceptos, Saimon comes running into the main lobby with Lety's DVD envelope in his hand. PM tells him she has somewhere to go tonight - a course on bust enlargement. (Really. I can't make up stuff like this.) She demonstrates with that silly exercise that pubescent girls used to (maybe still) do of pushing their hands together to flex their pectoral muscles, but we are spared the accompanying rhyme of "I must increase my bust." They joke about this and then Saimon throws himself into the elevator with the envelope.
After the feas leave the executive suite (to find Irma and talk her into leaving with them), Alicia gloats about knowing their secret and then goes running to Lopez to tattle on them for leaving early. He asks, "don't you have a watch?" She misinterprets this as a sincere inquiry about her jewelry collection and describes her jewel-encrusted watch which she didn't happen to wear today. When she explains her complaint, he is thrilled to have an excuse to fire someone, but when he checks his watch to file the report, he realizes that it's not early at all. It's the official going-home time. It just seems early because they usually work late!
Alicia says he can still get them on scandalous, dirty conduct. (He is tantalized.) The reason they have left "so early" was to go to a "for women only" male stripper revue! He says that's not so bad. He tells her that some people are more conservative than others, and they have the right to be, but honestly, he feels... (Alicia, sensing that the conversation is about to take an icky turn, starts fiddling with her top, trying to cover up some of her cleavage) ...this all-male revue sounds like fun.
He starts taking his coat off slowly, as if for a striptease. Again, I am not making this up. There's cheezy music and everything, and he starts to get into a little dance. Alicia yells at him and tells him not to be ridiculous. (The music fades.) She says perhaps it's fun, but it's not for everyone. And she doesn't approve of the cuartel going to such a show. Lopez agrees - he thinks it will short-circuit their minds. She asks, isn't he going to do something about it? He says here's what he can do: he's going to advise her to go with him. "What nerve," she exclaims, and leaves him alone in his office. Lopez calls Information and asks if there's an "only for men" revue.
At her desk, Alicia says she's going to find a way to get back at those horrible spiders (the cuartel). Just then, Saimon sings and dances through the executive lobby, annoying her further.
Saimon goes into Fern's office. He wants to go into Lety's office, but Fern won't let him. Fern is curious about this secret package that Saimon has for Lety. Saimon won't tell Fern what it is and doesn't want to give it to him, but Fern won't give him access to Lety's office, so Saimon has to give it to him. Fern sees that it's addressed to his parents and asks Saimon what it is. Saimon doesn't know. He says he was supposed to mail it for Lety, but he couldn't because the postal code was missing/incorrect/incomplete. Fern says don't worry about that, he'll take care of it himself. Saimon is concerned ("Lety will kill me!") and advises Fern that it's urgent. Fern tells him to forget about all of this if he wants to keep his job!
In London, Humberto Mendiola can't sleep. He and Teresita are frustrated that they haven't heard from Lety or received any mail yet. (It's only been a couple of hours since they spoke to her! Even express mail isn't THAT fast!!) They're upset that Lety has been so unreliable. She's so competent when it comes to finance, but with other stuff... not so much. They rehash their plan: they want to surprise Marcia and Fernando with a house for their wedding present, but it won't be possible if they don't have that video. They can't wait to see the look on Fernando's face when he finds out they bought them a house.
Saimon is barely out of Fern's office when Fern opens the envelope. Another secret video, eh? He wonders if Tomas is on this one too. Omar calls. He's still at that noisy biergarten place with the two bimbos. He wants to know if Fern has spoken with Tomas yet. The answer is no, and now Fern says he's worried about something else: Lety tried to send a DVD to his parents. He's afraid that on the DVD, maybe Lety explains the entire situation to his parents, about the lien and Filmo-Imagen and all that. (Don't be silly. Why would she do that with a DVD? Why not a letter or phone call?) He pops the DVD into his bitchin' Mac and watches.
Saimon goes down to the main lobby, where Lety, PM, and the feas are waiting for a taxi, and he tells Lety that it went perfectly well, no problems or anything. She asks why he is so nervous. He says he wants to know where they're all going tonight. Martha says she's going to a meeting for Overeaters Anonymous. PM says she's going to her bust-enhancement class. She sticks her chest out, and they all throw up their hands to protect themselves! And they cheer. Saimon asks about Overeaters Anonymous. Martha tells him the autosuggestion diet didn't work, but she needs to lose weight. Irma and Lety don't know where they're going, and Lety says she doesn't want to go increase her bust, and Irma isn't interested in Overeaters Anonymous. (Sara is doing a bust-increasing exercise.) Martha claims that the OA meeting will have a 50-peso all-you-can-eat buffet.
PM says it's time to catch their taxi. Lety asks again where they're going. Winking frantically, PM insists it's to increase their busts, and Juana says just wait and see, it'll be fun. As they file out, Saimon tries to figure out what's fun about a bust-enhancement class or an anonymous buffet.
Saimon is still moping when Paco arrives, dressed to the nines. He's ready to party with Drinkers Anonymous, sadcb.com (there doesn't seem to be anything at that URL). Saimon corrects him: it's Overeaters Anonymous. They try to figure out where the women really went. Eventually they figure out that they've been lied to, and they want to find out the truth.
Watching the DVD, Fern sees footage of houses he doesn't know and hears Lety's voiceover. "Here's that secret information. Your son Fernando does not know anything about what's going on between us." Fern tells Omar to listen. Lety's incredibly morose voice continues, "He is going to die when he finds out about the surprise we are preparing: there are various options. Without obligation, you will decide which is best."
"Did you hear that?" Fern says, pausing the DVD.
"Did she say 'embargo'?" Omar asks. (In this case, "embargo" means obligation, but it's also the word they use when they discuss Filmo-Imagen's lien on Conceptos. Incidentally, "embargo" is also the word for "impoundment" or "seizure," such as will probably happen to Alicia's car soon.)
"Yeah, now shut up" Fern says, restarting the video.
Lety says something that's difficult for me to parse, but goes something like "they are deserving of all of these." She continues, "I am sorry for the delay, but if you need anything else, let me know."
Omar opines that Lety is speaking in code, but can't imagine what about. Fern says the pictures of houses, empty, without furniture. Omar thinks they're homes for sale, but doesn't understand. Fern says that in the first video where Lety was with Tomas, they were looking at the same houses. (One of Omar's bimbos tries to take his beer mug from him. He snorts and bites her hand. That's hot... in fiction-land.) Omar points out that Lety talks about an "embargo" and about Fern deserving something. Fern worries. What is the surprise? He reminds Omar that it's WITHOUT "embargo." Omar says she's speaking in code, so maybe that's not what she means. Fern gets that there's a secret between his parents and Lety about houses for sale, but he can't figure it out.
Back at Casa de Padilla, Tomas is upset to know that Fernando called. He thinks Lety must have told him about the money he lost on the trees that burned down in Australia. Lety's parents want Tomas to call Fern back, but Tomas stalls. He looks at some other investments that might win his money back - including coffins ("death never goes out of style"). Eventually Mom uses a bowl of meatballs to lure Tomas to the kitchen table (he carefully opens and closes his imaginary Les Nessman-style office door), then RoboPop attacks him with the phone, on which he has already dialed Fern's number.
While Fern is speaking to Omar, Lety's phone rings. He doesn't want to answer it - he's too annoyed - but Omar says it might be a good way to get information. (Omar clumsily wraps his big oafish arms around his bimbos' necks and pulls them both towards him, sort of hyperventilating and kissing them. Oh, so hot. NOT.)
Fern takes the call. Someone asks for Lety. Fern says Lety left very early. Tomas does not want to identify himself, but RoboPop makes him. (Fern tells Omar it's Tomas and has a long and irrelevant side conversation with him while Tomas waits nervously.) Tomas asks what can he do for Fern. Then he starts to apologize about the investment. Who would have imagined there'd be a fire in Australia and ruin all the little trees (I think he may be referring to a Christmas tree farm)? Fern is confused. Tomas promises that tomorrow, he'll make that money back for Filmo-Imagen. Fern laughs, that crazy kind of laughter when you're totally wired and freaking out. Then he ends the call and hangs up! Tomas is relieved, but RoboPop wonders, if Fern said not to worry, then why was he looking for Tomas in the first place?
Fern goes back to his conversation with Omar. "It's confirmed, Omar. Tomas Mora is an imbecile!" He says he's going to find Lety and find out what's going on before he goes crazy. He asks Alicia where Lety is. She gives him some attitude about all of his employees leaving without telling him where they're going. He asks her to please, for the first time in history, just give him the information he needs. Does she know where she went, yes or no?
Just then, Saimon and Paco step off the elevator and hear what she says next in her loud tattletale voice: Lety and those tarantulas, the cuartel, have gone to look at male strippers. Fern's face almost twitches. He calls Omar back. Omar is now in his hotel room, alone, and he blames Fern for the bimbos getting bored and leaving him. Fern tells Omar where Lety went. Omar laughs, annoying Fern, and says something about men on steroids, and Sergio Mayer (the actor who plays Luigi)! Fern wants to go there and look for Lety. Omar says he can't do that - only women can get in.
The feas get to Solo Para Mujeres. There's a long line of women waiting to get in. Irma complains that she told them she didn't want to see these men. Then it sinks in: Lety realizes she's going to watch men strip! Her eyelid twitches. They assure her that she'll have a great time. PM says these men dance very sexy. Sara tells them that they wear thongs (I think). Lety has some doubts about this, but they say it's their only chance to see this (I guess it's a travelling show). Lola describes it as a respite from their problems. Sara says it's to celebrate their success with the underwear commercial. They debate some more and finally Lety gives in, though she says she won't enjoy it. They all agree to go together, but Lola starts worrying about her kids; she just knows that homewrecker is going to be around.
Marcia calls Alicia. She's still angry about her phone call with Fern. She hung up on him and he didn't call her back. They talk about his interest in Lety. Alicia tells Marcia that Lety and the whole cuartel went out to see Solo Para Mujeres, but Marcia couldn't care less about those secretaries, least of all Lety. If Lety disappeared from the planet, Marcia would be very pleased, yet Fernando wants to know where Lety's going? Alicia says that he acted very strangely when she told him where Lety went, and went back into his office. She thinks something's going on between them!
Next week: Paco and Saimon slip into something more uncomfortable. A man takes his shirt off.
