Yo No Creo En Los Hombres (10pm Univision) did have a new episode air on Friday, so make sure you're caught up! This is in Ultimas, with the Gran Final scheduled for January 11th. The replacement show, El Hotel de los Secretos will not begin until January 25 (see below). In case you missed it, check out Urban Anthropologist's Karmageddon post.
The El Hotel de los Secretos (UPCOMING 10pm Univision) team is still looking for volunteers to help recap this highly-recommended drama. Check out the synopsis for more information. There will be a break between the end of Yo No Creo En Los Hombres on January 11th and the premiere of Hotel on January 25th, and it looks like they'll be filling in the hour with an extra hour of Pasión y Poder.
Señora Acero 2 (10pm Telemundo) is in Ultimas, with a Gran Final scheduled for January 11th. The replacement show, La Querida del Centauro, begins on January 12th.

This weekend, I added index pages for Mi Corazón Insiste, La Casa de al Lado, and Los Herederos del Monte to the sidebar and updated our existing links for Cuidado con el Ángel, Las Tontas No Van al Cielo, and Pasión to point to the new index pages for those shows. So that puts us at 90/110 shows indexed and approximately 3 more weekends to finish the project.
Mr. 5ft and I spent the long weekend looking at ways to make sidebar updates easier. We're not 100% finished with this, and it's going to take some additional testing throughout the week, so we can gauge the effect of a normal weeks' traffic. It's especially important to hear from you if something doesn't look right on your screen! I'm keeping an eye on things, but it helps to have feedback from other users on other browsers, too.
If there are any technical issues or something doesn't look right, let me know!

I watched the first episode of the new comedy "Telenovela" starring Eva Longorio. I am not sure about it. I will give it another try.

My husband wants to give Telenovela a try, too. After years he seems to be showing an interest. He's watched quite a bit of Gran Hotel with me and had even given some characters nicknames. What's more, he's actually opined on some if the goings on!
Susanlynn, I watched part of the first episode. The humor was just not for me. Too bad because I was looking forward to it since I love Eva Longoria's "Devious Maids". So glad that has been renewed for a fourth season. Also, I still am enjoying "Jane the Virgin". Sure hope they get renewed for a third season.
I was really excited about Telenovela, because I love Eva, but I'm not sure if I even want to give it a try.
I also get a kick out of Devious Maids. I love the way they poke fun at the stereotypes.
And Jane the Virgin is just...it's in a class by itself. I mean, they have their own recapper! I love the things they're able to do with The Narrator, like the quick summaries and the reminders of who the characters are. Plus his reactions are hilarious.

I saw a rerun of Dona Barbara a few years ago when it was shown during the day. I didn't see every episode, but I thought it was very well done, and Edith Gonzales was fabulous. That's the only tn I've even seen her in, but I know she is a beloved actress for good reason. I just saw this promo for the new Dona Barbara with Aracely A. They are using the same ranch from La Sombra del Pasado.

I already gave my "review" of Telenovela (not great). Thumbs up for Jane the Virgin. Sara, I know your hubster would enjoy this one. There's something for everyone in it. Diva covered it.
OhhhhNoes--Did anyone see a recent promo for Hotel de los Secretos? I usually FF through commercials, but I stopped to watch this one. Will this be played as straight drama (as in the trailer) or is this going to be played as campy. I hope not. I mean, I loved Doctor Frankenstein and it's campy humor, I thought the Budapest Hotel was ok, but I don't want Hotel de Secretos to copy it.
Can anyone illuminate?
Also, I noticed that Uni is running Amores Verdaderos at noon. They must be a couple of weeks in because Victoria is meeting with Odette and Jose Angel is fighting off thugs in the bathroom. I wish I had known earlier. There was a lot to like in that tale (a lot that was boring and in your face PSA).

Anita- I would say the Spanish version of Hotel started as straight drama. The second season has been lighter with humorous moments, but not campy. I'm barely halfway through though. There's no telling what the Mexican version will be like. The promos have looked very similar to the Spanish version,even using the same lines.

Duelo de Pasiones was bizarre. Captain Sylvia and I were big fans of Liz Vega..quite a dancer.
I liked Pasion. It is my third favorite novela. I loved Fernando C. As a PIRATE...Captain Rick. Plus, I enjoyed playing as Mad Bess.

Apparently HDLS replacement has already been announced. The telenovela is called "Yago, Pasión Y Venganza". The cast so far will include Flávio Medina and Iván Sanchez.
Just discovered that "The Mysteries of Laura" (one of my favorite shows) was based on a Spanish series "Los misterios de Laura". Watching an episode right now!

A remake of Lazos de Amor is coming soon. It'll be titled Frente Al Mismo Rostro. It'll star Sebastian Rulli, Angelique Boyer and David Zepeda.
