Chapter 38: Accusation and Revelation

Once again, just the facts tonight.

Mia was eavesdropping at the door as Federico entered the corridor. She told him that their father was going to leave. He leaned in and listened as Damián told Raquel that this is better for him. Mia was smug in her “I told you the truth” statement.

Enamorandome de Ramon #88: Kidnapped Wives & Shady Exes

Andrea asks Fabiola if Francisco locked her in the apartment. She struggles to answer, and Andrea goes to get a locksmith, so he can let her inside. Fabiola curses her luck and calls Francisco, who is basking in the overglow of a hanky panky, to tell him what is happening. He instructs her to tell Andrea that she forgot her keys in the car and stall because he is on his way. Francisco curses his luck as well.

Adalgiza asks Benito if he thinks Luisa still loves him. Benito isn’t sure anymore and Adalgiza suggests they give up on being with the one they love. Benito then asks Adalgiza if Finito ever fell for her because then he would have a chance with Luisa. Adalgiza doesn’t know but Finito told her today they couldn’t be friends because he doesn’t want to betray Luisa, even with his thoughts. Benito thinks that is the way back to Luisa’s heart because, if Finito is worried about his thoughts, that means he feels something for her. Adalgiza asks if he plans to break Finito and Luisa up but Benito will do something better: he and Adalgiza will make sure Luisa and Finito end up with the people they are destined to be with. Adalgiza smiles and nods.

Mi Marido Tiene Familia #77, 12/12/2017: Unrelenting Fathers, Sisters in Black, and a Call to Motherhood

Thoughts and memories in italics

Marisol walks into Dani’s workshop accompanied by Blanca. After Blanca gives Linda and Dani a big hug, she tells them she missed them so much; Dani and Linda missed her too. Blanca asks them to forgive her for leaving, but she had to do it. When Mari tells her that she is needed in every corner of the house; Blanca replies that she needs them in every corner of her soul. As she told them in the letter, she loves them and they have nothing to do with the situation. Dani assures her that they understand and won’t reproach her for anything; Blanca can count on them. When Blanca tells them how important their support is, Linda wonders how many more days it’ll be before she returns, but Blanca doesn’t know. She assures them she will try to hurry…put everything she is feeling and thinking in order; there are too many things. Blanca asks them to take care of their grandmother, their father, and her granddaughter. When she tells them that she knows she isn’t perfect, but she is striving to be a better woman and a better mother for them, Dani urges her to do it for herself; she has given them everything. Mari adds that Blanca has always supported them and she deserves it. After Blanca tells them she wants to be stronger for each one of them, Dani has something to tell her; her dream was realized. Dani then takes out her engagement ring and puts it on as she tells Blanca that Gabriel proposed to her. Blanca jumps with joy and hugs Dani. Blanca shouts, “What joy! You deserve to be happy, daughter; you deserve to be loved.” As she looks at her three daughters, she tells them that the three of them deserve it; that is what she asks God for the most. Blanca cries as she tells them to strive to have a happy life and to not stop being themselves. They hug as Blanca tells them she loves them.

Mi marido tiene familia Monday 12/11/17 Capítulo 76: The Intransigence of the “Machista Old World Order”

Sadly, tonight I heard The “últimos capítulos” announcement for the first time which was a reminder that we are on capítulo 76 of only 102.

Anyway, on with the story . . .

Robert is at the orphanage. He is talking to his mother on the phone. She is in in tears but overall is fine. She is going to stay with her sisters for while. He misses her and she misses him and his sisters. She needs them to understand her. He will not come to see her because he understands that she needs her space. By the way, Eugenio misses her, too. Blanca sadly laughs and tells Robert that Eugenio is a different matter. She loves Juan Pablo and wants him to tell her daughters she loves them too. Robert reminds her that they all miss her a lot and will all be waiting for her when she is ready to come back. The phone call ends and Robert is looking so sad that Dave comes over to give him a hug.

Bruno talks Linda into coming over to Julieta’s apartment amd gives her the old song and dance act about them not being able to tell anyone that they are novios. Linda is sick of their relationship being kept a secret. He blames it all on Julieta. He promises he will make it public in less than a week without realizing that Julieta had been there listening the whole time. They kiss and Linda tells him that he has one week. With that, Julieta appears and surprises the both by saying they aren’t going to need a week.

Lola looked at Alina, then at her brother. She suspected that something wasn't right.

Enamorándome de Ramón, #84: No Money for New Lovers and an Impending Divorce

Cut scenes in blue
At Poorfi’s office, Poorfi enters to find Marg there. When she asks how things went, he asks her what she is talking about, so she tells him that Lydia told her he went to the see the doctor. She wonders if it was due to what happened the previous night; and if his nose was broken. He asks her to go into his office; and as she does, he gives Lydia a reproaching “Why did you do that?” look. When Marg asks what the doctor said, Poorfi replies he said that her boyfriend doesn’t hit that hard. When he tells her he is fine, she thinks Antonio is a savage, but Poorfi understands because if he feared losing her, he would do the same, or worse. Marg argues that Antonio knows that what they have is only friendship…and Antonio knows now that neither he nor anyone else will keep her from seeing Poorfi. When she tells him she wants them to continue forever, he responds, “until death do us part.” Marg smiles and agrees; and Poorfi gets pensive. Marg then tells him that the judge agreed to meet with them so they can present the reclassification of Roxana’s charge. Poorfi suggests that they need to prepare the argument that will convince the judge.
At the prison, Roxana tells her cellmate that the judge will review her case. As Roxana smiles, she comments that if everything goes as expected she will get her freedom. When the cellmate notes that her husband got her some good lawyers, Roxana replies that he didn’t do it for her; he did it for Diego. She will never forgive Antonio for taking advantage of her situation to take Diego from her…he will pay for that. The cellmate advises that she wait until he gets her out, then she can go after him; for now she needs to be on her best behavior.
At her office, Sofía calls Lauro Graciano and tells him she wants to see her father. Graciano tells her it won’t be easy since her father is in a maximum security prison and is under strict supervision. When she insists that she is his daughter and they can’t prohibit her from seeing him, Graciano tells her he will see what he can do, but he needs to talk to her father to see if he will accept her visit.

He tells her that she was doing the same, she denies it and then he says “why are you dressed like that (as she buttons up her coat)?” She calls his lover a “zorra” (derogatory name for a woman that sleeps around) and the “zorra” defends her self. Gabriela tells her to shut up and then walks away leaving Christian and the Zorra in the apartment. Mi Marido Tiene Familia #75, 12/8/2017: New Beginnings with New Perspectives

Juls tells Blanca that she understands her and is there to support her, but Blanca would like to know where her support was when what she needed was to be told the truth; Juls also kept it from her. Juls explains that if they didn’t tell her, it was to avoid destroying the happiness she was feeling. When Blanca insists that she had a right to know, Juls justifies that it wasn’t her place to tell her—it was Robert’s, Eugenio’s and Ana’s decision and she had to respect their decision. Blanca replies that they always pass over her; she always tells them everything regardless of whether she should or shouldn’t—she just blurts them out. She shares with them all her happiness and pain. When she asks why they didn’t share this with her if it was about her, Jul replies that it was to spare her more pain. Juls assures her that Eugenio and her children love her very much. Juls then extends her hand and Blanca takes it. They go for a walk to continue talking. Blanca is feeling thousands of emotions—anger, frustration, sadness, resentment. She then asks Juls how she would feel if Robert keeps something very important from her, but Juls confides he already has; and it hurt her very much. Blanca points out the same is happening to her; she has spent all her life getting orders from Don Eugenio. He tells her to talk or not talk; he calls her meddlesome, a gossip…he tells her to give her opinion or not to…or not to cry. He even asked her to consider her son dead! She has reached her limit; she doesn’t think it’s fair.

Caer EnTentacion #34, 12/6/17: Release Or An End To Mourning?

We get another eyeballer of Raquel and Santiago finally having a bit of sexual satiation.  Unfortunately, SN’s pillow talk is muffled due to her unique way of mumbling in such a low baritone that much is lost of the conversation.  I do believe that Santi still feels guilty somehow—whether it is the lovemaking or the fact he remained blind to Damian and Carolina’s cheatin’ hearts.  Can’t say.  Raq is a bit negative and too clinical about what just happened between them.  It could be that it has just been a means of release for the two of them, despite their obvious feelings for each other but also that their “period of mourning” is passed, but Santi doesn’t agree.

He cannot forget Caro and what she and Dam did to the both of them, destroying their lives, making fools of them, etc., nor get it out of his head.  Raq does think about her past relationship with Dam also.  There is no relief, perhaps it is just a momentary release for the two of them after all. They agree they love and care for one another.  Oh well….nothing puts a damper on a promising relationship like continuing to bring up one’s past bedtime habitués.

Mi marido tiene familia Monday 12/4/17 Capítulo 72: Wedding Festivities and the Madness of Guilt

On with the wedding and a whoospie on my part. I fell asleep and the VCR was set to the wrong channel so I missed the wedding ceremony itself. Feel free to fill in any of the ceremony details in your comments.

My coverage starts tonight with Tulio having pursued an almost catatonic Ana to a park bench. He takes off his suit jacket and put it around her. Tulio talks about the rage that he feels towards his mother and towards everyone else that made his life so bad. They are the ones who are responsible for Ana being like she is living in the terror that one day she will become lost in her own thoughts. He draws her to him as she just stares straight ahead, smooths her hair and kisses her cheek.

Back at the wedding, Julieta and Robert are kissing at the reception. Of course, they show us all of the wonderful food that is being served. Luz is raving about the food. Polita says that Bequita made the food and she is the best cook in Oaxaca. Julieta tells Amalia and Blanca that she does not know how to thank them for what they did for her and Robert. imelda says they just have to enjoy the wedding. Eugenio calls Imelda and Blanca over to him. Xavi makes an announcement about it being his turn to give his gift to the bride and groom. He sings their love theme “Llegaste a mi vida” (You Arrived in My Life). Robert and Julieta dance. Julieta asks if Robert can believe all this and that it is happening to them who didn’t believe in marriage. Robert tells her that even if they would have never married, he would have been with her the rest of his life. She finally says she loves him. He accuses her of loving to torture him. They continue with the sweet nothings as they dance And kiss. The guests cheer. Xavi sings.
