El Dragón #66-67, 1/1/20: Potted Stew
- On Garza Island Miguel and Adela discuss the sense of buying an entire island for themselves. (Why, cuz if ya got it ya gotta spend it! Ya can't take it with ya!) He says they need a private escape for themselves. Talk turns to his slowing down some day in the near future once Efilina takes over the culture and people stop dying from using illegal substances to escape the bad situations they face daily. Then he (on his unicorn) and others (on their flying pigs) can retire from having to kill people over the same illicit trade. (Viewerville reminds those of us who view things through reality glasses rather than the rose colored ones, that there will always be people who enjoy doing bad things and pursue making this trade illegal because they're born bad, namely the Epigmenios of the world.) Ade marvels at the way Mig always has things so well thought out. Well, says she, as long as the two of them end up happy together......

El Dragon #63, 12/27/19: The Great Escape
This episode starts out by showing us what Tacho was doing with all of the money that Dora had given him. It turns out that he has bought at least half the prison, according to Chuey, who is none to happy to not be on the payroll. It looks like the entire thing happens on the day of their plan, but is told through flashbacks showing how the entire thing was planned and executed.
Tacho is living a pretty comfortable life handing out money for his creature comforts. Where he is storing the majority of the money, I have no idea. Then one day he meets a guy. His name is Inge and he was being picked on in the common area and Tacho came to the rescue. Inge is in prison for robbery, but he used to work on the plumbing and sewers of the city. Tacho is interested in this and confirms he was familiar with this particular zone, where the prison is located. When Inge gives the affirmative, Tacho tells him that he is his new best friend. Mom sneaks in what looks like maybe more money… never was really sure what she hid in the soap, and a map of the plumbing of the entire area in what is supposed to be a leg of something.

El Dragon #62, 12/27/19: Don't Cry Over Spilt...Oil?
This episode focused mostly on the oil spill, there wasn’t much else to it, so it should make this recap easier than usual, which is great since I have two episodes to cover.
The engineer and the secretary Sayanes, who wants to run for president are arguing over who caused the oil spill, after the secretary strong armed the engineer into increasing the production, not caring about the costs.

El Dragón #61, 12/26/19: If Chestnuts Grew In Miami
- Miguel arrives at the office and wants Adela to leave earlier than usual. Fearing the worst if Peligros tattletales on her, she must confess her plot to learn from Carmen, aka Mrs. Piggy, what role Epigmenio really had in Mig's parents' deaths. He agrees with Peligros that it's foolish and dangerous as well as unnecessary. They need to discuss it further at home.
- Leopoldo Santamarina, is telling what he knows about Mig's enterprises--at least the umbrella structure stemming from Ecogreen and the latest acquisition of "Pídenos". He'll get protection, sure, if the information is worth anything, advises Howard. He mentions a number of businesses Howard has put on his wall map. Leo tells him he's the legitimate face of Ecogreen and he's being forced to sign something he doesn't want to. Howard is slobbering all over himself. Come on in says Mr. Spider to the Leo the Fly.

The intention is to prepare viewers for season 2, which will begin on January 13. El Dragón #60, 12/25/19: Oh, Happy Day!
- Adela is muy impactada to realize that Lobo is there chatting it up with Mrs. Piggy, aka Carmen Moncado. She is even more drop jaw impactado to see the two enter into a lusting lip lock. She scampers out the door and down to the car where Peligros is waiting with his gun in hand and his heart in his throat. They race home where the argument over "playing spies" continues. Peligros says this has got to end! Ade says no way since Carmen's about to confide in her. Peligros doubts it considering the way she hightailed it outta there without so much as a thankee ma'am. Ade insists she'll think of something to explain it but she's not done. Peligros threatens to tell all to Miguel if she does. They separate once Rosario shows up wanting the low down on the beat down.
- Meanwhile, Miggy informs Ishiro that he's to stay in Mexico. This should delight him but Mig notes he's less than excited. (How Mig can tell considering Ishi has one expression: sourgrump.) He asks him if there's a problem but of course Ishi denies anything but loyalty to the death.

***OK amig@s, I have to confess: I don't know what Telemundo will be offering (or not offering) this week. The network abruptly yanked El Sultán out from under us last Friday but then indicated on their website's calendar that it would appear this Wednesday at 3 AM (no, that's not a misprint, at least not my misprint). According to the calendar, it will also appear this Thursday and Friday at 3:30 AM, and Saturday (!) at 3 AM. However, Zap2It, which usually (but not always) has reliable information, lists none of that. Nor does the Guide on my Comcast-powered TV. So your guess is as good as mine.
And speaking of guesses, what's up with the second season of La Doña? Telemundo announced that it would run a "special edition" this Monday, Dec. 23, at 9 PM. But its website now says that La Doña will run at 9 PM all week, except for Tuesday, when all telenovelas are being pre-empted by movies. Has Telemundo advanced the schedule, or are they offering an abridged version of season 1 for those who never saw or can't remember season 1? [UPDATE: Yes, it's an abridged version of season 1 that will apparently run for at least two weeks. La Doña2 is still set to begin on January 13.] As for Decisiones, it's not a telenovela, and since CarayCaray is devoted to telenovelas, Decisiones will not be listed here.

El Dragon #58, 12/20/19: Epigmenio, so much Epigmenio!!
I guess we haven’t seen too much of Epig this week, so they packed it all in tonight. Tonight we open with the Epigmenio restrained by Ishiro because Lobo is armed, was it with a bomb at the end of last nights episode? Epig starts immediately arguing that it was just as a precaution. Lobo adds that they didn’t have any intention of using it. Miguel reiterates that they had all agreed that no one to be armed except the security of the island. Epigs argument was that just a few days ago someone tried to kill him. Jaramillo jumps in with the fact that someone is always looking to kill them. Miguel tells him that it doesn’t justify his actions. Epig claims it does because it could have been one of them. Pierro (Italian Guy) says that if things continue like this, everything will be a disaster, and the Serbian says that the rules have to be the same for everyone. Miguel tells everyone that they are there to resolve something much more important. Sergei (Russian) asks when they are going to stop wasting their time with security checks, and Miguel answers, right now. Before they go back to the meeting Miguel confers with Ishiro about the infiltrator. Ishiro tells him it is under control. Miguel and Adela exchange a nod, not sure what they were referring too.

El Dragón #57, 12/19/10: Stuck On A Rock Which Is Still A Hell Of A Hard Place To Locate
Parte 1~~
- Miguel greets the Italian Mafioso Dude who was in on the original negotiations with Valentin. Mig tells him that Italy was key and has been keeping up their end. He's pleased but adds that it's a shame the man who introduced them couldn't be there to share the success, but that's what happens to traitors. Italian Mafioso Dude suddenly feels like the proverbial long tailed cat caught in a room full o' rockin' chairs. He clarifies Val made his own decisions. Mig pats him on the back of the head. "--Don't worry. I don't consider you a traitor; I never trusted you to begin with." He turns his back to Italian Mafioso Dude. "--Time to set sites on a new horizon and bring about new ways of accomplishing our goals." IMD starts to add to the conversation but Ishiro tells him it's time to go. Head Samurai has dismissed you, dude.
