Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 23 (July 25, 2016) 2nd Half
##We must help the writers stay on track. We must help them free Lucero, expose Diego, arrest him and get a truly deserving guy off the streets. Olivia must get into treatment. La Malquerida needs to don a see-through apron, grab the duster and a tequila and welcome Javier home au naturelle.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 22 (July 18, 2016) 2nd Half
Don Fernando (QEPD) has walked out of the confines of his malady along the train tracks to heaven. (He’s in a better place now where he doesn’t have to hear the people around him squabbling over his fortune and he knows who he is.) There is a casual dress funeral.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 22 (Jul 18, 2016) 1st Half
Now, where were we? Some of us are feeling more sympathy for Amelia, some much less sympathy for Pedro, none for Luis, sorry Alicia was dragged into his malfeasance, happy that Little Pedrito has two parents to play with, worried about Javier’s intentions, expect Camila to become a street kid, cautious regarding Marissa’s health and state of mind and seriously concerned about Don Fernando’s most recent crisis, but mostly we wonder what will IzzaFreeza do next. Seriously, it’s about time she got a new “luke,” everyone else has.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 21 (July 11, 2016)
In this humble opinion, it is Amelia. She has--
*Recovered from a near fatal accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down
*Left her suffocating, possessive husband
*Moved back into her family home and adjusted well to the luxuries it afforded her
*Recovered from her paralysis
*Secured an important position in her father’s construction empire and seems to be doing well
*Changed her hairstyle and wardrobe
*Stopped obsessing over Luis, her teenage heart-throb
*Is sorry for her treatment of her suffocating, possessive ex-husband
*Is sorry for her mistreatment of her darling daughter
*Changed her hairstyle again
*Has only slapped, cursed, or denigrated her evil-minded sister
*Helped keep the location of her sequestered father a secret for two years
*Has started to flirt a little with her suffocating, possessive ex-husband
*Has sudden feelings of jealousy seeing Marissa in Pedro’s arms, despite the innocent gesture

Glory be, the only thing grand that happened on Friday is that Pedro found Don Fernando in The Only Asylum in Mexico that needed landscaping.
There will be plenty to discuss, so carry on, Caminantes.

Luis is still nursing a grudge.
From this he never will budge.
He argues in court
'Cause he's of that sort
But won't win 'less he pays off the judge.
:
Louy is such a jerk
Who other people he loves to hurt
Surely when his time comes
He will be eating Crumbs
For others he poisons their bread
Maybe he'll be the one to eat it and be dead.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 18 (June 20, 2016) 1st Half
Marissa - She's a prisoner of a debilitating disease and cloudy thinking
Don Fernando - He's also a prisoner of his mental deterioration and the manipulation by his elder daughter and her husband
Luis - He's a prisoner of greed, ambition and malevolence
Mariana and Hernan - They are in the same prison as Luis, with a little envy and jealousy thrown in the mix
Camila - She is a prisoner of her upbringing: unloved, unappreciated, a tool of her father
Isabela - She is a prisoner of her Hair and an uncontrolled obsession with Carlos
Amelia - She's been in a prison of her own making; bitter and longing for her former life, although she may get out on parole
Pedro - He's a prisoner of his own stubbornness and the inability to see how his goodness and protectiveness hurts the ones he loves
Carlos - He's a prisoner of telenovela plots, conventional set-ups, chicanery and skullduggery committed by others

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 17 (June 13, 2016) 2nd Half
Who holds the key to Fernanda’s freedom? Will it be Ignacio, Camila, Carlos, Don Fernando, Amelia, Pedro, Felipe or…wait for it, Javier? Yes, Javier will no doubt come back into the picture. He was only supposed to be gone a short time. Pedro is living in his house, for heaven’s sakes. It would be hard to believe Javier didn’t leave a way to contact him while he’s been away. Pedro can’t be so stupid or blind not to let him know what happened to Fer. Indeed, Pedro had the hopes that Fernanda would turn her eyes on Javier, a wholesome, successful and acceptable mate, even though Javier himself saw it was a hopeless situation.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 17 (Jun 13, 2016) 1st Half
We will have to wait until Tuesday to see how Fernanda’s trial goes. With Felipe defending her instead of Ordoñez, anything can happen. Can anything save her from prison? If Camila goes along with Mariana and Hernán, she will lose Fernanda as a friend forever, but gain her father’s approval (temporarily, probably). If she doesn't and backs Fernanda, her father's wrath comes down on her and Mariana reverts to her venomous reptilian persona. Since Camila hurt Fer at the end of Friday's episode telling her Carlos won't show up because he took his mother to Houston and he's with Ickzzy--his only real love, this does not bode well for the friendship.
Don Fernando is a lost cause to testify in favor of Fernanda. He's too befuddled. As Delilah pointed out, he doesn't even look good in his clothes.
Things look bleak before the trial even gets under way.
While we wait, let’s speculate—why, when Fernanda is faced with serious prison time, won’t Pedro or Amelia just let loose with their not so very dirty secret to Luis….and Fernanda. (Thank you, Diana, for the idea.)

Weekend Activity: The Televisa Remake Game (Classic Movies Edition)
In the last week I've been watching some great classic movies, so I've decided to revive something we had fun with in the past, The Televisa Remake Game. The rules:
- Pick a classic movie, any genre. Title translation optional.
- Give your dream cast for the Televisa Remake you would produce. Actors currently under contract to Telemundo are also invited to the casting call. Although most or all character names would be changed into Spanish ones, use the original character names for clarity.
- Make note of any minor changes to setting, character relationships, etc.
- Comment on any previously posted project.
- Have fun!

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 15 (May 30, 2016)
Blanca asks Fer if she’s ever been curious of who her real father might be? Fer answers no, never. Pedro is her only father. She doesn’t know what happened in the past. The important thing in her life is the present. That’s enough for her. They talk about Don Fer and how he was then and now. Fer thinks it’s funny he thinks he can convince Pedro to forgive Carlos, when he can’t forgive Pedro for what he supposedly did to her mother. Blanca says Pedro is a saint, everyone knows it, including Amelia. Fer says if only Amelia had told her father how things really happened back then, their lives would be very different. Don Fer would have Pedro on a pedestal.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 14 (May 23, 2016) Second Half
A representative of Child Welfare Services, a uniformed officer and a notebook lady have shown up in the middle of Clarita and Cesar’s reception. The rep addresses Marissa and wants to speak to Carlos. She says he’s not at home, but she can speak for him. She leads them in the house. The rep states Carlos has been keeping an unaccompanied minor in the home. Marissa is cooperative. Yes, Carlos brought home a homeless youngster, but is planning to adopt him.
The rep says that is the problem. There are no papers on file so they have to take the boy to a childrens shelter. Marissa doesn’t think that should be necessary. He’s well taken care of in their home, but they will have the family lawyer file the right papers in the morning. Rep lady says that doesn’t conform to the law. They have to take him now.

New Telenovela: Tres Veces Ana, Starts Monday, May 23rd
**News flash: as of 5/21, Uni has once again changed its mind about the fate of Yago, and it is supposedly no longer moving to the graveyard shift on UniMas. I have no idea what will happen to A Que No Me Dejas. During its first week, Tres Veces Ana will be shown in 2 hour blocks, 9pm-11pm. After that, it will be on at 9pm and Yago on at 10pm. This schedule is changing almost daily, so stay alert.
The story of "Tres Veces Ana" starts with a family road trip—the Álvarez del Castillo Rivadeneira family. Triplets Ana Laura, Ana Leticia and Ana Lucía, along with their parents, suffer a dramatic car accident, crashing by the side of a river. The event leaves both parents dead, Ana Laura losing one leg, and Ana Lucía dragged by the river’s current. Only Ana Leticia emerges unscathed. Soledad, a woman who is mourning her own daughter’s death, finds and helps Ana Lucía. Although Soledad discovers who the girl is, she takes advantage of Ana Lucía’s memory loss about the accident and her family and decides to keep her, making her believe she is her mother.

Un Camino Hacia el Destino-Week 13 (May 16, 2016) First Half
This week we are surely in for some surprises. When Amelia gets back from the D.F., will Fernanda run into her at Don Fernando’s hacienda or will they manage to miss each other? Will Luis stalk the hacienda until he sees Amelia and waylay her to find out where Fernanda is? So far, Pedro has been able to keep Luis and Fernanda apart by pure strength of will, but in doing so is also keeping Fernanda and Carlos, the love of her life, apart, leaving room for a certain Dr. Javier to move in. In Friday’s encounter Javier and Carlos had a standoff. What is next for our pixie-perfect heroine?
Note: This post will cover Episodes #58-Mon, #59-Tue, #60-Wed. The Second Half will be posted on Thursday and cover Episodes #61-Thu and #62-Fri and carry us through the weekend.
