Caray, Caray!

Mexico City, 2019. Independence Day. First Lady is shot as the whole family was stepping onto the balcony to greet those who gathered. The chaos ensues. President is quickly ushered away, so are the kids. A few people put the First Lady on the stretcher. She has a bleeding wound in her shoulder, which one of her attendants is trying to plug with a tepid pressure of their index finger. We agree that it doesn’t look all that life-threatening, but c’mon….

And so it begins - complete with love, guns and booze all in one episode. (Please see the previous post on the brief description of the characters if you'd like to refer to it as you go along!)

We open with the President and his staff looking out at the protests happening outside of his residence and office. The transport workers union is on strike and they are airing all of their grievances with this unpopular president. Carlos is doubting his presidential capacity too, but thankfully he has his trusty assistant Gema nearby to perk his spirits. He also has his wife Paola, none too pleased with all the commotion or with having to play the part of the First Lady for that matter.

Hi fellow Caray Caray folks and TN enthusiasts! I recapped a while back for Tres Veces Ana and decided to come back for La Usurpadora, which premiered today. I will try to post as much on-time as I will be able to. This TN is thankfully short (at 25 episodes). I am excited to dig in and hope you join for the ride. Elenco and Short Sinopsis

A new series is premiering 9/30/19 from a partnership between Televisa and Univision and it promises quite alot! El Dragón, was created by Arturo Pérez Reverte, the same mind who conceived La Reina del Sur 6 -7 years ago.

The new telenovela tells the story of the heir of a powerful family of Mexican drug lords out of Sinaloa, whose parents were assasinated in Mexico in a settling of accounts amongst criminals. His grandfather, fearing his grandson and heir is in danger of the same fate, sends him to live in Japan, where he becomes a high-ranking expert in international finance. Later he will have to return to Mexico in order to fulfill the obligations of his family.
