El Dragon #58, 12/20/19: Epigmenio, so much Epigmenio!!
I guess we haven’t seen too much of Epig this week, so they packed it all in tonight. Tonight we open with the Epigmenio restrained by Ishiro because Lobo is armed, was it with a bomb at the end of last nights episode? Epig starts immediately arguing that it was just as a precaution. Lobo adds that they didn’t have any intention of using it. Miguel reiterates that they had all agreed that no one to be armed except the security of the island. Epigs argument was that just a few days ago someone tried to kill him. Jaramillo jumps in with the fact that someone is always looking to kill them. Miguel tells him that it doesn’t justify his actions. Epig claims it does because it could have been one of them. Pierro (Italian Guy) says that if things continue like this, everything will be a disaster, and the Serbian says that the rules have to be the same for everyone. Miguel tells everyone that they are there to resolve something much more important. Sergei (Russian) asks when they are going to stop wasting their time with security checks, and Miguel answers, right now. Before they go back to the meeting Miguel confers with Ishiro about the infiltrator. Ishiro tells him it is under control. Miguel and Adela exchange a nod, not sure what they were referring too.

El Dragón #57, 12/19/10: Stuck On A Rock Which Is Still A Hell Of A Hard Place To Locate
Parte 1~~
- Miguel greets the Italian Mafioso Dude who was in on the original negotiations with Valentin. Mig tells him that Italy was key and has been keeping up their end. He's pleased but adds that it's a shame the man who introduced them couldn't be there to share the success, but that's what happens to traitors. Italian Mafioso Dude suddenly feels like the proverbial long tailed cat caught in a room full o' rockin' chairs. He clarifies Val made his own decisions. Mig pats him on the back of the head. "--Don't worry. I don't consider you a traitor; I never trusted you to begin with." He turns his back to Italian Mafioso Dude. "--Time to set sites on a new horizon and bring about new ways of accomplishing our goals." IMD starts to add to the conversation but Ishiro tells him it's time to go. Head Samurai has dismissed you, dude.

El Dragon #56, 12/18/19: Of Intergenerational Warfare And Of Infiltrators Revealed
- Ishiro presents Miguel a possible location for his secret business negotiation: an island owned by a top Yakuza which is barely noticeable on a map, is difficult to reach by anything but a small boat and is well protected by lots of hard to negotiate coral reefs. Of course Mig loves it and tells Ishi to contact/invite the most powerful businessmen around the world to take invest in Efilino production and sales.

El Dragón #53, 12/13/19: The Slippery Slope
Good evening my patio peeps, hopefully this evening's episode is fast and painless. After last week, I had to take a much needed break from this story, after recapping such a dark episode, I needed a breather. So I spent the entirety of this afternoon catching up on the weeks episodes to bring myself up to speed in the story. We left off with poor Hector laying shot on the floor, Chisca, maybe having an epiphany after realizing what a wreck her life is, Dora, going rogue and trying to take back El Salado, Kenia dumping Jorge because her past caught up with her, and finally Adela and Miguel are together. Rosario having been instructed to move all of Adela’s things into Miguel’s room. Now…onto Friday night.

El Dragon #52, 12/12/19: From One Threat To Another (Working)
- Pilar and Kenia meet at their corner cantina to discuss Abdull's return from the [should be] dead and his essentially telling her she's got to hide him at her apartment. That's a grave (you should pardon the pun) danger to Jorge who she's decided, per Pilar's advice, should be sent packing.
- Ishiro and Chisca are watching movies together in her sick room at the manse. Roario walks in and starts gabbing about how Dora just left the place, bag in hand, without telling anyone --and in a snit. Ishi makes a mental note of this. Rosi leaves before he lets Miguel's preparations for moving Adela up to the level of serious marriage material out of the bag.

El Dragón #51, 12/11/19: Destiny Is Master
It was a killer 24 hrs., but Chisca is now out of danger and being readied for the flight back to Mexico is the gist of Jorge and Miguel's conversation. Jorge will get all the medical equipment for her recovery at home and hire a nursing service and 2 docs to live at the house during her recovery. They cannot enjoy the luxury of a clinic as whoever was behind all the mayhem might find her and attack them all again. Jorge takes the time here to apologize for keeping quiet about Valentin; the dude never squared with him. Mig says it's his fault since the guy was his best buddy and did all of this right under his nose. However, he's back in the samurai saddle and from here on out he'll have the blinders off. (Pardon the mixed metaphor--if there is one here.)

El Dragon #48, 12/6/19 (Season 2 Episode 10): All Tied Up
We left off on Wednesday night with Miguel handcuffed to a bed. Which under the right circumstances some might find interesting, however, this seems to be against his will, and after being drugged. Chisca has been caught by Ishiro in Miguel’s room, and Zaragoza being beat with a bat by his old friend Epig, and Tania Farchala’s mother being held at gun point by crazy Hans. This episode is a little rough. I did most of it live and then just looked at a few scenes for some dialogue I had missed. Since I am actually on the East Coast this weekend, I didn't get a chance to watch it live early in the evening and then recap from the playback. Hats off to all of you who do this in real time. Because my brain hurts by midnight. Hope it makes sense and enjoy.
So in Maria's house we pick up where we left off with Maria saying they are going to be so happy. Miguels confused, asks, what are you saying Maria, take off the handcuffs.” She is psyco. “What I like the most about you are your eyes.” He calls her crazy and she gets crazy upset. I am wondering if that is the problem that occurred when her medicine ran out. And why she lives in the middle of nowhere alone. He tells her “free me, right now.” “You don’t know who you are messing with, they will come looking for me. What do you want? Money?” Maria tells him that she doesn’t like his tantrums and said they will talk at dinner. Then she calms down and asks him if he likes tomato soup. That if he doesn’t answer, she will make what she wants.

El Dragon #44, 11/29/19 (Season 2 Episode 6): Saving Lives, Exposing Secrets
Sorry this episode is posted a little late. I started yesterday and about half way through, was burned out. So I had to finish this morning. But I am on the west coast so various hours behind most. Next week I will be on the road again reporting from the Eastern Time Zone, I hope I can get through it.
This episode seems to pick up into what I wrote last night. Edna is searching Garza transport, looking for illegal substances in the trucks. And my assumption is that the anonymous call that was received was from good ol Valentin. They search the truck and find nothing. All the while the trucks that did contain the illicit merchandise escaped just in time. Zaragoza handled the merchandise upon its delivery to the empty warehouse.
Peligros and the guys are talking about whether or not they would get caught. Peligros is sure they are fine. He complains to Edna that the guys need to get back to work or their loads are going to be delivered late. Edna resigns herself to the fact that they got away with it this time.

El Dragon #43, 11/29/19 (Season 2 Episode 5): Hector's Great Plan!
Good evening,
We left off Wednesday with Edna and Hector in cahoots to get to the bottom of the murder of Hectors sister, but Edna turned the tables and ended up putting Hector on the spot about Miguel. Will Hector betray his friend to the authorities to see Epigmenio behind bars. Tonight we will see.
Hector defends Miguel, he tells Edna that he provided her with evidence that Carlos Duarte is guilty. She badgers him, but he tells her that Miguel has been his friend his whole life and that he has done nothing but help him investigate his sisters murder. She tells him that there is no way he has his hands clean, or why would they put a bomb in his place. Hector says he has no idea and keeps Miguel out of it completely. Edna tells him that he asks for a lot but cooperates only a little. Hector asks her if it is insignificant the fact that he is bringing her evidence to incriminate Carlos Duarte. Edna says they will do it his way and start with cutting off the heads he proposes. But that once the war starts, there is no going back.

El Dragón #42, 11/27/19: Does it Have to be All About Chisca?
Back home in CDMX, Chisca has a sorrowful reunion with Dora. It doesn’t last long. She’s soon at the mercy of Mig’s (righteous) wrath. What was she thinking? She exposed herself and the family once again. She could have been the one who died. She can’t answer his questions directly. He claims he’s only judging her and her behavior. (Ishiro stands behind her, just out of focus.) Mig mentions how the Prosecuting Attorney has him in her sights at the precise moment she pulls this stunt. Chisca grabs onto whatever she can to absolve herself. “That’s what it’s all about—your businesses. You care nothing about your family. You only care about yourself.” Well, it doesn’t sting Mig the way she had hoped. So she goes for the self-pity. She declares she just lost the only friend she had. Dora welcomes her back into her arms. Ishiro has a stoic look on his face. It can’t be read. Is it pity, anger, concern? Maybe all three.

El Dragón #41, 11/27/19: Lotsa Interruptas Going On
Petite Rewind
Victor sees Dora pass down the hospital hallway. He thinks he recognizes her. Dora enters Adela’s room and sees her sleeping. She has a pillow and presses it down over Adela’s face. Harder and harder. Adela stirs briefly.
Almohadacide Interruptus
Someone knocks. Dora stows the pillow and hides. It’s El Gato!! He approaches Adela—just wanting to talk. He sees her in distress. Just then doc also interrupts. Dora slips out while he deals with the raggedy interloper. Doc returns to check Adela. She thought she was suffocating. He tells her it was a case of Post Trauma—she inhaled a lot of smoke. Dora has re-entered to check in on Adela. She immediately scolds Ade for telling Mig what she told her not to tell him. It only served to open back up old wounds. Ade tells her she didn’t mean that to happen. She just couldn’t keep quiet about it. She thought she was helping. In the end, Mig thanked her for telling him. Dora scoffs. What else did she think he was going to say?
