Or "Like Father, Like Daughter"
Anifer hides in an abandoned building and screams when a shadowy figure appears.
Moments later, Enriqueta drags Anifer outside and warns her to be quiet. She attracts a crowd of people, who ask for her blessing, and Anifer begins to scream for help and bites Enriqueta. Enriqueta quickly explains that Anifer is off her meds and she has to get her home soon.

Caer en Tentacion #73, 1/31/18: To Pull the Plug or Not...Is There an Alternative?

Miriam is not allowed to pull the plug on Damian. Since the doc won't go behind Raq's back, Mim is going to find another way (she tells the doc imperiously). Her other way, as Raq finds out later, is to stop paying for his hospital care. Raquel is in a bind because her insurance has run out.
Santi learns Juan is the real father of Lola's baby. He's furious. How could she do this? She says this was done "to" her.
Mia, Raquel and Fede have a family discussion on Dam's fate. Mia is against disconnecting her dad from life support. It would be like killing him. There's a chance he might wake up. Raq gives her the facts on his prognosis. Fede, hesitantly, would agree to disconnect him. The person in that hospital bed is no longer their father. Mia is not convinced. This convo goes on too long. Cintia is the silent audience. Raquel says she sees both sides, but before she can say anything more Mia charges in shouting that Raq wants her dad disconnected so she can be left with Santiago. That earns her a well-placed slap. Mia stares at her mother, speechless and heads off to her room.

Papá a toda madre Wednesday January 31, 2018 Capítulo 12: Kidnapping, Conspiracy, and Blackmail: Oh, My!
At Jorge’s house, he is asking his daughter Valentina why she has not been going to her religious studies class. Father Cutberto told him that she has not been attending. What has she been up to? She says maybe Father Cutberto doesn’t see very well . . . Jorge wants her to look him in the eye and tell him the truth. She insists she has been going. If he doesn’t believe her he should go talk to her teacher. She cannot believe he has such little trust in her. He ends up apologizing. She is talking about getting ready for the concert and the fact that Toño and Samuel are going to Jorge’s godparent’s 50th anniversary party.
At Mauricio's house, Mauricio has taken on a much more conciliatory tone and is trying to convince a reluctant Anifer that living with her great aunt the nun will be a thousand times better for her. He follows her into their house. Mauricio explains that he is simply not ready to be a father. She insists that she has to live with him because he is her father. She likes him. He wants to know where it says that. He is too young to be a father. She doesn’t think he is so young. Well, he says he is more like an old kid. Maybe some time he will be ready to be a father. Anifer wants to know if she goes with the nun, will he ever come and see her. Of course he will . . . when he can. . . maybe not everyday but he will come to see her. cell rang. She shut if off, telling Raquel she was doing so so they
could talk.
“I
am turning off the phone so we can talk.”
“We
can talk. I like clarity. I understand your reaction to what
happened with Benjamín because I'm a mother. I don't accept your
reaction but I understand it.” She paused a moment. “Why did
you hurt me? Why did you hurt me so much?” She started to cry.
“You accused me in front of my husband of being unbalanced and
unable to take care of a baby. You know full well or suspected that
this would prevent Santiago and my husband from allowing me to take
care of a baby.” Carolina looked as though she was going to answer
this but not in a positive way. “I only want you to know that I am
not sick.” Carolina started, but Raquel interrupted. “No, no,
no, I'm sorry but I'm not out of my mind or unable to care for a
baby. It was an accident. You exposed me in front of my husband and
hurt me. You are not my friend.”

Papá a Toda Madre, Episode 11, 1/29/2018: A World Full of Crooks, Grown Men with Toy Guns…and Nun-Sense Trouble for the Cherubim
At Renée’s home, Renée chides Mau for leaving Anifer alone. Mau wants
her to stop scolding him since it was an emergency…a social emergency. When Mau goes to check on Anifer who is asleep on the couch, he touches her
forehead and feels that she is quite warm. When Renée checks Anifer, she gasps
and tells Mau that Anifer is very hot and has a fever. Mau immediately brushes
off the blame from himself and asks Renée what she gave Anifer for dinner. Renée
can’t believe Mau could be serious since Anifer came knocking at her door in
the middle of the night because he left her alone. Mau takes his big foot out
of his mouth and apologizes to Renée…he doesn’t know what he is saying (uh-huh!
You just had an epiphany?).
When he stutters as he asks what they should do, Renée
tells him to use his common sense (did she see pigs flying?)

Caer en Tentacion #71, 1/26/2018: To live and let live,yet when it comes to Damian just let him die.
In
the past:
Carol
says what matters is that Raquel does not find out about the affair, and he
agrees. So I am just your lover and I am Santi’s wife. Carol tells Damian that
it is time to end their relationship. He replies “are you jealous of Raquel?” to
which she says that it’s not that but they are about to be discovered and she
would not be able to face her children if they were found out. Damian makes his
little victim face and says “I love you with all of my being” he begins to cry.
But Carol just says “If you love me you have to get away from me” He then says
“Don’t say that please” she gets up and leaves.Agustin is with his cousin Florencia out in the street. Flo just bought a toy for Benji. Agustin asks her if she likes Santi. He says he knows how she is so please tell him what is going on. “You like Santi don’t you?” Flo denies it. He then tells her just watch it because he recommended her and does not want to lose his job.
Mia is having a conversation with Nico, she wonders what is up with Fede because he does not know if he is gay or not. Nico tells her to let him be and then gives her some stellar advice, “it doesn’t matter if he is gay or not, his preferences don’t matter what matter is Love. Love is love right? Don’t you want your brother to be happy?”

Papa a toda Madre, capítulo 10, Friday January 26, 2018; Toño has a fight with Mauricio in a barroom brawl!
Mauricio
continues talking to Monja Gueta and she is amazed that she is the grand aunt
to Anifer. She wants to know where her niece Maria Cruz is, so Mauricio breaks
the bad news to her that she has been murdered. She reacts very badly and
almost faints, but Maurcio tells her get a hold of herself. He sits down and
tells her that before Maria died, she had Anifer seek him out so he could take
charge of her. Gueta, says that she believes that this was God’s
providence and a miracle so he could take care of her niece. But, he tells her,
Anifer does not know about what happened to her mother and doesn’t want her to
know just yet. Gueta agrees to that. The she tells him that she would be
honored to take care of little Anifer. Mauricio become excited over this
(thinking he can hand Anifer off to her)

Caer en Tentacion #70, 1/25/18: The Investigation Heats Up (Really?) Yes, a Stolen Credit Card
Or, Dam(n) I'm Breaking Up With You Because All You Want From Me is Sex.
Folks, what luck. A CSI episode that goes nowhere fast just dropped in my lap. The recap, however, will go somewhere. Some scenes are combined.
After Antonio tells Santi about the one stolen credit card from Dam's billfold getting used (see prior episode) he quickly goes over the facts they have:
1. A rock hit the windshield. It could have been an accident, but it could also have been deliberate, to make them stop.
2. After the wreck, Dam was hit on the head with a shovel and Caro's body appears elsewhere.
3. They believe Caro was likely shot once at the scene of the accident with Santi's father's gun.
4. One credit card was stolen, although now they aren't sure if anything else was taken.
He promises they are going to follow up. Santi swears he didn't do it. Tonio says the judge will have to let him go--as long as he doesn't do anything else stupid.

Papa a Toda Madre #9 1.25.18: Slashed Tires & Black Scorpions Do Not Make You a Better Person
Neron warns Mauricio that he will make it his personal mission to make sure his time at the cul-de-sac is miserable indeed. Neron then goes outside and looks at Mauricio’s car with malicious intent.
That night, Mauricio and Anifer have a dinner of apples and she suggests that they keep looking around the house to find furniture or buy them. Mauricio doesn’t want to, as he needs to save money to move soon, but Anifer argues that she won’t live with him for long as her mother will come back for her. Mauricio tries to tell her the truth but there is a knock on the door and Mauricio asks Anifer to be careful if it’s Neron. It’s Renee, who gives Mauricio back his microwave, which she fixed, though Mauricio is unsure.

Caer en Tentacion #69, 1/24/18: Alina and Mia, a tale of two nut balls
Recap time!
- At the jail Santiago sees a woman who is wearing a bracelet that is identical to one that he had gifted to Carolina, he accuses the woman and her husband of having stolen it from his dead wife. It does not help matters any when Antonio questions the woman and realizes that the inscription on the bracelet had been erased.
- Alina gets a phone call about Santiago's melt down and runs off to see him- oh this is right after she finishes having sex with Nicolas, who is hiding out at her house because she has led him to believe that there's an active warrant out for him because he punched Andres (more on that later)
- How did Alina get Nico to sleep with her? By telling him that he owed her for representing her father, she won't take cash, checks or credit cards, just penis. Then she tells him she loves him (lies!)

Papá a toda madre Wednesday 1/24/17 Capítulo 8: More is Not Necessarily Better When Less is Barely Tolerable--OR--A Mystery Shoe Box is Not Opened
At Jorge's house, Jorge takes Samuel’s tablet away from him. All technology is off limits for Samuel for a month unless he tells him who put the porn on his tablet. Any kind of homework he has to do on the internet will have to be done under Jorge’s supervision. Samuel asks if Jorge talks to his mom. Jorge stumbles as he always does with the truth: no, sometimes, maybe. She is very busy with the Carthusian nuns. She is okay and said she would be calling Samuel or writing him. She sends her regards. Samuel wants to know why she didn’t send him some hugs. She doesn’t love him anymore. Jorge tells him it is not like that. She still loves him. He asks for his tablet so he can send her a message. That is not happening but Jorge says it was a good try. He is being punished unless he puts things right or tells him who put the pornography on the tablet. Samuel is left to stew on his bed.
Renée is having dinner with Dr. Lupe at her place discussing her graduate school problem. He offers to help her with whatever he can with but he thinks that the only way for her to not to worry about her visa, her admission, or anything else is to apply for American citizenship. She agrees but now is not the time in her life for that. She turns and talks to the photo of her mother that has been set up with a candle like a little shrine. She asks her mom to give her a hand with the mess she is in. She promises to clean up her room and put everything she loved in order. Dr. Lupe just smiles as Renée tries to explain talking to her mother.

Caer En Tentacion #68, 1/23/18: Time To Play Hard Ball
- There's a crisis of faith at the jail between Alina and Santiago who is asking her for cash from the kids to plan who knows what through his jail-mate's connections. Alina refuses, guessing something's up. "--Get another lawyer if you really don't think I'm acting in your best interest. Things take time! It won't be long now. It's your right to be let loose without convincing proof of the crime. This judge knows that. Trust me! I will get you out of here." Santi holds off.
- At the same time, Raquel squares off with Miriam in the doorway of Mimi's manse de expanse. "--I'm here for Benji. I am not going to let what you did to Damian happen to Benjamin!" She accuses Mimi of competing with Dam for his love--and not just motherly love. "--If I've kept quiet all this time it was for your son! If you continue with this you'll force me to come out with it." This threat really gets Mimi screamin'. (Mimi has an Achilles heel, after all. Skeletons apparently are just waiting to tumble out of her walk-in.) "--Years of terror! Years of therapy, of not being able to speak about it. You abused him, Miriam! Give Benji back or I will not stop till everyone knows, including your grand kids!"

Papa a Toda Madre #7 1.23.18: Guess Who's Moving Next Door?
Mauricio receives a mysterious phone call and is floored by the news he receives.
Wilma calls Renee to the university to inform her that they are reducing the amount of students that are accepted in a US university in her field. Renee asks if she’s safe, as she was already accepted, but Wilma explains that she needs to complete the required forms in time or they may give her spot to a waitlist student. Renee can’t believe the dilemma she’s in: she can’t apply for a student visa without being formally accepted into the university, which she can’t do if she has no money to pay for it. Wilma hopes they find a solution soon but Renee sighs heavily.

66: Predators and Prey
Carolina
asked Florencia whether she had disposed of the garbage and she said
she had; Santiago was taking the bins out. Carolina appeared testy.
This was possibly due to Damián's presence but also to Florencia
herself. She may have sensed that the girl found Santiago
attractive. She was about to have another disagreement with Damián
when Raquel had entered. Santiago returned and Carolina pretended
that all was well. Florencia knew that something wasn't right in
this house when the two women talked about the next day. Raquel
volunteered to look after Benjamín again, then left with Damián.
Santiago and Carolina disagreed about Florencia's duties. Although
she didn't say so Carolina felt like Florencia was encroaching on her
territory by cooking for Santiago, who asked her whether she was
jealous. She didn't admit to it, but he didn't really give her an
opportunity. He persuaded her to finally break her post-partum
celibacy.

Thoughts and memories in italics
[Previously: At Logatoys, Mauricio sees a message from Juan Perez, a
man who claims to know María. Fabian reads that Perez is asking to meet in a
town close to where Anifer lives and claims to know where María is.] Mauricio
wants Fabian to go with him because this thing about “blind dates” has always
given him the heebie-jeebies. Fabian doesn’t think they should trust the man
because he could be dangerous, but Mauricio thinks he has no choice…sometimes
one has to trust a stranger’s generous offer; or do whatever it takes to return
a child to its mother. When Mauricio asks if they still have the helicopter,
Fabian confirms that they do; then sighs deeply in frustration as Mauricio
walks away.
