Papá a Toda Madre, Episode 44, 3/19/2018: A Fairy Tale For Ani, a Dream Come True for Renée, and a Nightmare for Vero


At Jorge’s house, Lilí pulls Pablo away from their lesson? Meanwhile, at Logatoys, Jorge is in his office trying to organize himself, but stops to check on the kids using the camera app on his phone. Pablo wonders if someone might see them, but Lilí urges him on. After Lilí responds that no one is there, she kisses as Jorge watches them on the phone and freaks out. (Viewerville freaks out that the camera walks around to get the perfect angle for whatever Peeping Dad wants to see.)

Mau tells Kika if she helps him, he will forgive everything she did.

Renée tries to explain to Anifer that that her father never meant to hurt her, he only tried to protect her. He is also still learning to be a father. Anifer is still angry and not really taking anything in. She tells Renée she is tired and wants to go to sleep.

Kika asks her fans to not boycott Logatoys. She told them she asked them this at a moment of anger and not thinking about it.

Papa a Toda Madre #42 3.15.18: Is Anyone Really Who They Say They Are?

Or Who's Playing Who?

Mauricio and Renee run over to pick up Anifer from Veronica but Anifer declares that she no longer loves him and it’s his fault her mother died. Renee tells her that Mauricio is not at fault but Anifer states that they are both liars and she doesn’t want to go home with them because they are lies. She prefers to go to Neron’s house and Neron and Flor agree but Mauricio reminds her that he just wanted to protect her and begs her to come back home. Renee agrees and begs Anifer as well, but Jorge suggests they drag her back home, but Veronica shakes her head. Tono agrees with Jorge but Neron can’t as he would leave these things to Carmelita and now Flor. Jorge suggests Mauricio give Anifer a good whipping, as discipline is necessary, but Veronica disagrees. Tono wonders why all the lies in the first place and Jorge reiterates that they punish Anifer for escaping. Flor shuts everyone up then and tells Anifer that she can stay with them, at least for today, since it’s been a rough day. Neron agrees and Anifer looks at Mauricio, quietly, extremely disappointed in his actions.

In her suite, Kika tells Charytin about the fact that her revenge is finally complete, but she feels that she paid too high a price because she would feel guilty if something happens to Anifer. Charytin suggests she move on and come back to Miami but Kika must find out if Anifer is safe.

Papá a toda madre Wednesday 3/14/18 Capítulo 41: Anifer On the Run--OR-- Another Day, Another PSA

Toño is in Mauricio’s office telling him that they have at least one month to get the money together. Mauricio is sick of the beating and trolling he is taking on the social networks from Kika’s fans who idolize her. Toño tells him to just let it go because it will be long forgotten in 48 hours but Mauricio can’t believe that. The image of Logatoys could be affected and his image, too. Toño suggests that they let it go for today at least and have some peace. Toño has to go home to get a few things done before the kids come home. Mauricio says he has to go get Anifer. Fabián walks in as Toño leaves. Fabián immediately wants to know what Mauricio’s neighbor is doing there.

Nerón is talking to his doctor and finds out that he has an enlarged prostate gland which is relatively common in men of his age. Nerón wants to know what that means. Well, the doctor informs him that it could cause him some problems: urinary tract infections, bladder or kidney damage. The doctor tells him that after the age of forty all men should have their prostate checked each year. Nerón explains that he has always felt well and he knows all about those prostrate exams . . . The doctor wants to stay on top of the situation. He wants Nerón to notice if he has problems urinating, if he has to urinate a lot at night, or if he sees any small drops of blood in his urine. Nerón asks the doctor if he is about to die. The doctor says no but he does need to check him out in a couple of days. Nerón asks if it is that kind of checkup. The doctor says yes, it is that kind of checkup. Nerón is bothered and depressed at the thought . . .

Papa a Toda Madre #40 3.13.2018: A Lie, Even a Merciful One, Is Still a Lie

Or Everybody Hurts Just Like Everybody Lies

Mauricio arrives at the restaurant and demands to know what Fabian is doing there with Kika. Kika curses Fabian, who asks Mauricio to sit down and reveals that something did happen between him and Kika while advising that Mauricio not get back with her or accept her help, under any circumstances. Mauricio thinks Fabian did him a favor but Kika insists the what happened between her and Fabian was before they were formally going out. Either way, Mauricio is not getting back with her and wants her out of Logatoys too. Kika can’t fathom that Mauricio is interested in Renee and wanted to be like Santa Claus, paying for her tuition. Mauricio realizes that Kika told Renee about her master’s program, but he will wrong that right as well. He tells Fabian that they will talk later and leaves without saying goodbye to Kika because he must take care of Anifer. Kika curses Fabian again but Fabian doesn’t know who got off worse, her, Mauricio, or him. Kika doesn’t believe his fake contriteness and storms off.

[Previously: At Mau’s house, Renée asks if Mau has figured out who may have provoked the mishap at Logatoys, but as in most things, Mau still has no clue. When she asks how things are going with the payment for her mastery program,] Mau responds with a question, “Why are you asking?”; then he tells her things are going well and reminds her that she has a class she needs to get to. Renée doesn’t know whether to be flattered or bothered that Mau knows her schedule and reminds him that they still have the conversation regarding her scholarship pending. After she leaves, Mau makes a face as he wonders how he is going to deal with the scholarship.
At Juarez School, Sami looks at his wrapped hand as he gets a message from the Blue Shark: he has two options for his next challenge—he can either walk the guardrail of a bridge or hurt someone he hates.

Papa a Toda Madre, capítulo 38, Friday March 9, 2018; Inquiring minds want to know!


Yesterday’s episode ended with Kika’s monetary investment in Logatoys. It must have been a very large investment as she says “You are not going to get rid of me that easily.” Mau says to her, “Look Kika, I don’t want to make you angry, but what are you doing here?” Kika says, “I want to invest in your business. Just because we ended our relationship, doesn’t mean we can’t be business partners.” Jorge says that the money is already in the bank, but Mau says he doesn’t want it and says goodbye to Kika. He says he feels like a freed condor flying through the air. Kika says the money is there, it was automatically deposited and now she is a full fledged partner with Logatoys. Falcon wants to extend his hand and say “welcome to Logatoys”, but Mau pushes him back. Jorge wants to know if they are still a couple. Mau says NO and Kika says YES.

At the dance club yesterday, Nerón falls to the floor in an apparent heart attack. Flor screams for help and wants a doctor. One guy says he is studying veterinary medicine, but that’s not good enough for Flor. She says he is not a mule or a horse. Another woman says she can do CPR and mouth to mouth, but Flor won’t allow it. She asks for someone to call an ambulance. She cries and asks Nerón not to leave her and Milady.

Papa a Toda Madre #37 2.8.18: The Price is Right...But For Who?

Or Sometimes Look a Gift Horse in the Mouth

Mauricio tells Kika that it’s best they break off everything between them because he’s not sure of what he feels and confesses that he feels something but for Renee. Kika can’t believe he’s trying to breakup with her, after all she’s done for him, but Mauricio reminds her that he rejected her investment at Logatoys and she proposed to him and he only accepted out of respect. Kika is shocked at his decision but Mauricio is done talking and tells her he has to go and get Anifer. Kika is left screaming and talking to herself that he can’t trade her for a maid. She then runs after him as everyone in the hospital stares.

Later, Mauricio wheels Anifer inside their home and asks her to be careful lest she break another leg. He then tells Anifer that he has to go into Logatoys and Renee offers to take care of Anifer in the meantime. She then states that she will fine a place nearby when she moves and Anifer wonders when she decided this. Mauricio explains that Renee thought of leaving but things changed and no she’s not leaving and he’s not getting married and isn’t Kiki’s boyfriend either. Anifer is ecstatic, as she hated the way Kika grabbed her cheek, and Renee tells Mauricio she will talk to him later and goes to the kitchen. Inside the kitchen, Renee jumps up and down at all the excellent news.

Papá a toda madre Wednesday 3/7/18 Capítulo 36: The Cheese Stands Alone--OR--Mauricio Comes to His Senses

We catch up with Nerón who is having a hard time getting Milady to go to sleep. He says she doesn’t know him anymore. Flor tells him he should just go to sleep himself or he will not have slept in 24 hours. In his sweaty sweats, Nerón is concerned that they haven’t had any sex in a while. She is clearly not in the mood. He keeps on pushing the issue because he says he is always ready. She finally tells him she has an issue with him being all sweaty from the gym and stinky. She tells him to go take a shower. She will make him some food. He ends up sniffing his own armpit and is taken aback by the stench.

At Jorge’s, the family has arrived at home from the Pubic Ministry/Police Station. It is silent until Jorge tells Valentina and Lili to go make something to eat. Samuel is told to go up to his room and to do his homework so as not to fall behind. Jorge sits down at the head of the table. Only Baldo is left. He wants to know if Jorge is going to talk to him. Baldo says he just wanted to get sent back to Tijuana. Since he is getting the cold treatment from Jorge, he decides to go to his room and Jorge can let him know when it is time to eat. Jorge speaks up and tells Baldo if he pulls another stupid stunt like he did today he will be sending him to a military boarding school. Baldo asks him why he doesn’t just send him to juvenile court whenever he feels like it. He goes to his room.

In Miami, Kika has decided the best way to keep Mauricio at her side (possibly) is with an ultimatum: stay in Miami with her or risk losing her large investment for Logatoys; the choice is his. Mauricio looks shocked.


At Neron’s, Flor is also shocked to see Neron has dyed his hair jet black. Neron smiles wide and Flor looks slightly happy to see this change.



She warns him not to get any on his skin because it won’t come off and Neron nods. He then asks her to make him breakfast because he must go see about a gym membership so that he can get back in tip top shape. Flor can’t hide her slightly amused, but loving smile, as she goes to the kitchen.

Papa a Toda Madre #32 3.1.18: Be Careful What You Wish For

Or When Getting Everything You Wanted is Never How You Expected

Mauricio tries to explain to Renee why he is marrying Kika, but Renee doesn’t care anymore. She announces that she is leaving his house, much to Mauricio’s shock.

At home, Samuel tries to smash his fingers on his closet door but can’t bring himself to do it. He asks his online “friends” if they can have him do something else but they tell him to do what they asked or there will be consequences. After a few failed attempts, he decides to do it but is interrupted by Valentina, who calls him down to eat. He sighs and closes his computer before running downstairs.

Veronica and Tono sit at their dining room and go over the grocery list. Tono suggests they go to the supermarket tomorrow but Veronica shakes her head and he tells her that he forgot who wins the big bucks. Veronica apologizes again for finding the truck without asking for his input but Tono decides to let it go. They discuss what groceries they should buy, as the children’s needs and tastes are evolving, as Veronica receives a text from work. She asks Tono for 20 minutes, so she can answer, and he makes her promise it won’t be longer before going upstairs for a jacket.

Papá a toda madre # 31, 2/28/18: A Proposal Steamroller Style--OR--Kika Starts to Wear Thin


At Toño’s House, it is breakfast time and Ernesto is asking Toño about wearing his bunny ears. Toño says it is no longer necessary since they got his hair color changed back to normal. The topic is quickly changed when Verónica comes into the room asking Toño to take the kids to school because she has to get to work. Toño gives her something for lunch and kisses her goodbye. Right before she leaves, she tells them all that today she has a surprise for them. Toño is left wondering.

Kika asks Anifer for her impression of the gift that she bought for her dad. Anifer says it is pretty but only two people fit. Renée interrupts the car conversation saying that they better take Anifer to school because if she gets there late they will not let her in. Kika has a great idea: She and Mauricio can take Anifer. Anifer can sit on her lap. Much to Kika’s disappointment, three in the new car does not work because Anifer cannot sit up front on somebody’s lap or by herself either. Anifer solves the problem.If Mauricio has no seats in the back, the police won’t say anything about her sitting up front. Not too reluctantly, Mauricio joins Anifer in the new car as Renée makes sure she has all that she needs for the day. Kika is not so pleased about being left behind. Renée tells her that is the problem with two seater cars. Mauricio says he will come back for Kika in a flash. Kika decides to call her chauffeur instead. She will see him at Logatoys. When they are gone, Renée takes the opportunity to tell Kika that if she is going out with Mauricio she has to accept the fact that his daughter Anifer comes first before anything even a car that is so fabulous.

Papa a Toda Madre #30: Beware of a Beautiful Blond Offering Free Sports Cars...

Or When the Dog's Away the Cats Will Fight...

Fabian tells Kika that Mauricio and Renee kissed but she doesn’t believe him and begins to hit him. He demands to calm down but Kika keeps screaming that he is lying.

Once the children have finished eating, Tono tries to pick up the table and instructs them to get ready for swimming and ballet. They don’t want to go but he demands they obey him and go get ready. Tono then goes to the kitchen and begins to wash the dishes, much to his annoyance.

Over lunch, Anifer tells Renee and Mauricio that she likes her new school much better than the religious one, though not better than the one in her small town, but she’s happy Ernesto is in her same class. Mauricio smiles and reminds Anifer that she must study a lot as she needs a career to support herself. Anifer asks Mauricio if he didn’t inherit his company and Renee laughs. Mauricio tells Anifer that, while true, she still must work because he inherited some things but lost them all as well. Renee nods and reiterates that he lost those things himself and Mauricio looks at Anifer and tells her to work heard, despite what she may inherit, and Anifer asks if they will be making more toys together. Mauricio nods and tells her that, no matter what happens, he wants the world to know she helped design toys for Logatoys. Anifer jumps up and smiles wide as doe Renee and Mauricio. However, when they see make contact, they frown immediately as Anifer continues to smile.

Papá a Toda Madre, Episode 29, 2/26/2018: ♪♪ You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This Unless You Mean It Like That ♪♪



At Logatoys, Kika explains that she took the risk of talking to Anifer because she cares about him. She just hopes that the nanny isn’t putting any ideas in his head that would turn him against her. Mau tries to tell her not to refer to Renée by that name, but stops himself because he thinks it would be of no use. When he asks why Renée would do something like that, Kika responds that it’s obvious that Renée is very much in love with him and wants to come between them. Mau doesn’t think it’s true, but Kika assures him it is and adds that Renée doesn’t realize that she shouldn’t be hoping for someone like him…ever! Mau assures Kika that Renée isn’t hoping for a man like him; so Kika sighs and tells him that men never see things clearly while women have a sixth sense about these things. She knows that Renée is in love with him…that’s why Renée hates her. (Good choice out of so many good reasons, Renée)

Papa a Toda Madre, Capítulo 28, Friday February 23, 2018, Jorge has been exposed—or—One big happy family!

We begin where we left off last time on Jarifa’s recap: “Kika and Mauricio are laid out on the pavement somewhere as he proclaims that he does not want to drink anymore. He is done. He has to go. Kika isn’t. She wants to go on drinking but if not she has other ideas . . . They are both slurring their words. They both sit up. She demands that he tell her about Anifer’s mother. Before returning to the comfort of the pavement, Mauricio tells her that María is dead.”

At the apartment where Baldo and Lili live, Jorge is telling Baldo to please take his feet off the table. He has brought them information on possible schools to attend. They are not pleased, they think that the choices are not good schools. Baldo makes a comment that these are similar to the one in Tijuana. Jorge says to look over the choices, but the twins think they deserve better. Jorge tells them that economics are not that good, but in his opinion, the schools themselves are good, so please choose one you think you would like. [Me gets the impression said twins are behaving like spoiled brats.] Lili makes the accusation that his other children get better treatment. Jorge doesn’t want to discuss this, tells them to behave because he has to leave. Baldo makes the comment about going out and Jorge wants to know where he’s going. “What’s the matter, can’t we go out? Do we have to stay inside?” Jorge say, “I just don’t want you doing anything foolish. I will trust you.”

Papá a toda madre Wednesday 2/21/18 Capítulo 27 : One Shot Too Many For the Gullible--OR--A View From the Pavement


Nerón is all dressed up in a suit this time as he makes a visit to the Public Ministery. He asks what he needs to do to re-open his tire business. Might they just lower the fine a little bit? Sorry but the best that can be done is to give him the option of splitting the fine into two installments: pay the first now and the second within the month. Nerón wonders how he can get so much money together in such a short time.

Toño is sitting in a classroom filled with mothers where a teacher is informing them that she wants their children to bring something that represents them to the festival. It can be a plant, a toy, a photo. It also can be a pet but if it is, the smaller the better. Toño is on his phone and manages to disturb the whole group by laughing at something. He starts to explain that he was just writing his wife about was going on at the meeting. She is the one who usually does these things. That was the wrong thing to say as the teacher makes a point of telling him that they all believe in gender equality here. He quickly adds that he does, too, but they have to admit that they are a little different. As he continues to talk, he just digs himself in deeper. He realizes he is in enemy territory.

Papa a Toda Madre #26 2.20.18: Beware of Dressing Rooms with Cloth Partitions...

Or "You Want to Talk About This in Public?"

Tono and Mauricio quickly cover up Carola’s body as the children approach and ask them what they are doing. Tono explains that he is helping Mauricio plant his plant but the children ask him why, as he doesn’t like him, and Tono explains that neighbors must get along. Mauricio goes along with his story, though he gives Tono a death glare, and Tono asks the children to go play elsewhere. Fidel states that he misses Carola but Rafael goes to him and assures him he will find a new dog for them as Carola is with new owners. Tono then asks the kids if they want to go watch a movie and they leave, as does Rafael, as Anifer comes and brings Mauricio his gloves. She then tries to help but Mauricio asks her to direct his actions, only, and he can get his hands dirty. He sends her to stand at least 10 ft away and continues to dig around Carola’s body to plant Anifer’s plant.

As Neron and Pablo walk around town and look for a job, Pablo wonders how much longer it will take. Neron tells him they have to be careful, as he is undocumented, and they shouldn’t settle. Pablo offers to clean around the cul-de-sac, as a handyman of sorts, but Neron doesn’t know if they can pay him. Just then, Rodrigo arrives and reveals that he heard Pablo talk so he asks Pablo his age and where he comes from. Neron visibly tenses as does Pablo.
