Amor Bravío #109 (Uni 104) Mon 1/21/13

Capitulo 109:  Scenes From A Marriage (with no apology to Ingmar Bergman)

Lo del Pasado

Pablo and Luzma leave the reception in the decorated vehicle with all the guests cheering.  Cayetano meets Hissadora at the restaurant and she hands him the letter.  He waxes nostalgic about how Pablo's birth saved his marriage, but Hissadora bursts his bubble by suggesting that Don Daniel's sperm might have been the one to make Pablo.

Lo de Nuevo

Restaurant: Hissadora goes on about not wanting to cause him pain [hypocrita!] but felt she could not remain silent. He asks about the other letters and she says perhaps it was better she didn't find them because they would hurt more. He asks if any of those letters said that Pablo was Don Daniel's son and she tells him no, not exactlty. However, she talks about the content of the other letters which apparently say that Don Daniel was the love of Rocio's life and that she herself believes that Cayetano raised a child that wasn't his. Cayetano doesn't want to believe this. “Pablo has to be mine!” he says, emphatically. She gives him the line about parents being the ones who raise and educate, not just engender. She tells him about not actually being Alonso's birth mother and what her husband did about putting her name on the documentation. He points out that Alonso was born before she married Eleazar, but that Rocio committed adultery. Hissadora promises to stick with him through this [just as she is sticking it to him].

Por ella soy Eva #129 1/21/13: What DO all Women Want?

***Sorry everyone, this is a pretty poor recap. I got some really bad news about 5 minutes into the show and couldn't focus at all for the rest of it. My bad.***

Aha! Mousse boy reveals that Claudia had switched the medicines. In fact, he admits that he was an accomplice. Juan's mom: "Poor child, her heart is "full of hate."

Bad dad is finding out that his wife doesn't even want to take his stuff - she just wants out!

Santi gets his divorce and watches Angelica leave in her chauffeured red sports car. "If you want to see me, just turn on your tv!"

Then we come to a conversation between Eva and Helena that sparks the question of what all women want - Helena mentions that all of her doubts and reservations about Juan stem from the fact that she's not sure he has that one thing that all women require from a man. Eva is desperate to find out what it is that JC couldn't give her. "You know, you're a woman, it's that one thing that we all know we need!" haha, he's so perplexed he tries to guess. Sex? Money? Shoes?

Then Eva makes Adri guess what it is. Adri is thinking along the same lines Juan was. Sex? No. Uh... Honesty and sex?

Dagoberto gets turned down by Mimi, but that doesn't deter him. He sneaks back in and snoops around in her house for dirt on Eva.

Amorcito Corazón Discussion #199-202 Jan. 21-25

Hola amigas/os,

It appears that the inauguration ceremonies bumped our show for today.  Hopefully the show will not be shown at some obscure time today (it wasn't on my tv schedule but then today's episode was still scheduled)  so we'll have our next episode tomorrow.  And this means our last episode will be January 31st.  I hope everyone had a nice Dr. MLK Jr. Day.

Take care,
Karen

Amores Verdaderos #50 Fri 1/18/13 J'Accuse; Guess Who Is Into Chantaje Now?

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen. Tonight we have an array of emotions. Love, jealousy, anger, hate and things in-between. The accusations are flying through the air and lingering I am sad to say. Why do people that profess to love each other, hurt each other this way? This is an age old question. If only people had a pat answer, but no one really does. We must all experience it for ourselves and get our own answers. You will see how an innocent act of kindness can go so horribly wrong. One person interprets this act one way, while another sees it another way, and there seems to be no in between. It is all black and white, with no possible gray at all. Que Lastima! There would be so much cleared up if the other person would just listen and especially listen to with their heart and hear what it is saying to them. The ancient Egyptians believed that the heart, rather than the brain was the source of human wisdom as well as emotion, memory, the soul and even personality itself, and who is to say that maybe they weren't right. While reading this recap, keep that thought in mind, or should I say, in your heart and see for yourself. J'Accuse is a French word that means I accuse and chantaje I will get to in the recap.

Amor Bravío #108 (Uni 103) Fri 1/18/13 It’s The Bridal Bridle For Luzma and Pablo And El Cozened Codger de Cuckolded Cayatonto Finally Learns Of Rocio’s Marital Misbehavin’

Cap #108

Two to Review:

As Viewerville prepares for Luzma and Pablo’s lo-o-o-o-o-ong awaited connubial day of blessed bliss, we learn that Tolentino, thanks to a push from Padre Anselmo, is now all hot to enroll online for a college degree in Public Administration and thus, to put his hormonal half-life on hold for a while; Isadora has  given Cayatano  sky-high hopes that there might well be much more in this store for him--especially considering all those improperly placed pesos the old fool’s been parting with, courtesy of the portly, wicked Widow Lazcano’s  leading comportment; and along with Cayatonto and Issa, we’ve ass  ascertained that the fingerprinted document ceding back the rights to La Malquerida to both Daniel and Camila is totally legal, having been prepared by Lic. Becerra, and because Alonso had the presence of mind to have two witness there at the time.  The old fart’n fool de Cayatonto’s now going to be footing the bills for Issa since she seems to have been left out in the cold with nothing—oh, woe is she!!

And Now for the New:

Yago tries to chat it up with Natalia to find out if she’s gotten the results of the DNA test.  Not long now, he says, but she’s a nervous Nellie over the whole thing, she admits, because it will change her life forever.  Since the wedding’s about to start she will have to wait to pick up the results, though.  Well, Yago’s got a few words of advice:  if it turns out that Dionisio Ferrer really is her daddy, then by all means, take good advantage of it and him!  If he’s not her daddy then just forget it all and move on.  Right?  Nat says she wishes she could handle it as easily as he [resbalarsele= slides like water of a duck’s back, to be carefree about things, let things slide] but she’s not made that way.  Well, she’s too intense and she takes things way to seriously, he critiques.  Anyway, now she’s nervous because Yago’s family is going to be at the wedding and she doesn’t want there to be any slip-ups regarding their incognito relationship.  People, she thinks, will be staring at them the whole time (Word up! Girlie,  this is Luzma and Pablo’s big day, remember?  You are not the center of the universe, and especially not today!)  Yago is tracking with Viewerville here.  “--Naw, nobody’s going to realize a thing.  So calm down, already.”

At Amanda’s B&B and Banquet Hall, Rafael and Aaron are helping get the place set up for the reception.  Amanda’s long in the mouth since if it weren’t for them she’d have had to set up everything by herself cuz Nat didn’t offer to help her out [acomedirse] one bit.  She’s ignored her and refused to have anything to do with her, even though Amanda finally gave in and told her the truth about her father.  Aaron and Rafa tell Amanda to trust in the fact that she raised her daughter right.  Eventually that will win the day.  Nope, says Amanda, Nat says that she lied to her all her life, she doesn’t trust her anymore.  Nat feels betrayed and Amanda’s afraid of losing her now, for good.  They agree that since she didn’t seek Dio out and call him out on his daddy-hood or move in with him and take sides, then that pretty much is a positive.  See?  Rafa and Aaron tell her that’s a good sign things will return to normal in no time.  Well, Amanda’s not so sure; it seems strange to her that now that the truth’s out there, that Dio hasn’t been by to try to bully [amedrentar=frighten, intimidate] his ex-again.  Caras de “hmmmm” de Aaron, Amanda and Rafa.

Over at Los Albarrán, Pablo and Mariano have a last-minute chat and in their finest de charro ¡Ayaiyai!)) before heading to the church.  Pablo likes Dan and all, but he’d really have like to have seen Mariano engaged to Camila instead of Dan.  That would take a miracle, answers Mariano wistfully.  (Well, wait a bit, cuz after all, this is a telenovela and anything is possible, Big Boy!)

In another part of the hacienda, Refugio and Ana are ready to head to the wedding as well, but they make a stop and a last-minute plea for Rocio to go there with them.  She refuses.  Ana and Rocio have a chat about marrying up or marrying down.  Rocio instructs her granddaughter that it’s far better to marry a wealthy man with looks than an ugly poor man.  (Works for me!)  Refugio admonishes Rocio that she’ll be sorry if she doesn’t go to the ceremony at least, but Rocio stubbornly refuses.

Outside the church Rafa and Vivi are flirting.  Aaron arrives and all is happy, happy, joy, joy!  Viv’s going to take pictures for the happy couple.  FF>>  Amanda, in another part of the lawn, worries that Dionisio will show up with Agustina.  Osvaldo assures her he’s got no reason to be there and probably won’t join Gussie—at least he hopes he won’t.  FF>>  Nat moons and mopes alone in another part of the church lawn and stares over at Yago chatting with Mariano.  “—Gotta be rough seeing Camila with another guy here, huh?”  Yeah, agrees, Mariano.  “--But then what would you know considering you’ve never been in love?”  Yago snarls back at his big bro to talk to the hand cuz his pretty face ain’t listenin’.  FF>>  Hipolito flirts with Piedad in front of Doroteo, Eleutario and Rodolfo.  Eleu asks if he’s going to stick around or not.  Seems Hipo’s ready to move down there to Aculco permanently since there’s nothing and nobody [naide= “lunfardo slang for nadie] back home to keep him there.  Down here he’s got Luzma and Piedad, or doesn’t he?  Pia blushes and Doro swoons at that.  FF>>

Iliana walks over to the servants from the M.Q. and lands a big lip-smacker on Rod who is none too happy that she’s doing it in front of God (literally) and everyone!  “--Now everybody will know something’s up with us!”  Hey, says Illy, that’s what you wanted, right?  For “everyone” to know?  —And now “they”  do--and they’re not too happy about it, either!  Rod reminds Illie that Yago’s still in the picture.  “--Uh, yeah, but Yago doesn’t see it that way!”

Ana a Refu arrive and chitchat.  Ana brings up the unpleasant chat with her grandma about poor vs. rich and her granny probably not coming to her wedding if she chooses to fall in love with a poor man and get married.  FF>>Cayatonto arrives and mentions he didn’t come with the others because he had paperwork to deal with in Metapec.  FF>> Viv takes a photo of the Albarrán men; Padre A arrive; then Cami and Gussie arrive--alone, much to Amanda’s relief--and the two race over to congratulate the groom. Cam turns around and announces the arrival of the bride, on Daniel’s arm, and then all take their place inside the church.  (Damn, that sky blue charro and bright white sombrerota does do him justice and then some—once we can actually see his face…..)

The ceremony starts.  Daniel walks down the aisle with the bride giving Luzma away and telling more than asking for Pablo to make her happy.  Pablo smiles from ear to ear and promises that he will daily.   Vivi’s taking pictures and glances over towards Yago who, tho’ standing at Nat’s side, flings a flirtatious wink her direction.  Viv notes it, frowns back and gets on with taking her photos.  Nat notices Yago’s preoccupation with something, and, unbeknownst to either of them, so does Rodolfo!

At the M.Q. during the ceremony, while everyone else is away attending the wedding, Dio gladly helps Issa look for that “old book” that Issa says is really is a little lock-box made to look like an old book, which holds all the incriminating letters and pictures of Don Daniel’s affair with Rocio.  Finally it’s found, but (Crap!) there’s no compromising photo!  There's just a single--albeit blameworthy--missive.  Issa is quick to deny Dio possession of it by deftly redirecting his attention to more…diversional compensations.  She swings the conversation quite adroitly and our felonious couple then celebrate with a lascivious toast to themselves and (what we believe leads to) a libidinous romp in Dionisio’s lair.

Meanwhile, the wedding ceremony continues as Camila and Mariano place the string of flowers around the bridal couple, Natalia holds and hands over the rings for them, and Yago hands Pablo the customary handful of coins for the bride.   Rocio has arrived for Pablo’s wedding--incognito (if you can call a Black beret and huge black RayBan’s a disguise).  However, Refugio has had a feeling of sorts and turns around in time to notice the mother has come to see her Pablito take the plunge after all.

~~end Parte 1~~
=========================================

~~Parte 2~~

Fun time’s over at the M.Q. cuz Issa has to make sure that she meets Cayatonto later that evening to hand him over his “little present”, the letter Roc wrote to Don Daniel all those years ago. “—The sooner this bomb explodes, the better!”  She exits, stage left.

Eventually, as all the loving couples—especially Dan and Cami--look on wistfully and solemnly, Pablo and Luzma are officially declared husband and wife; first by the Church and then by the State.   Not until they sign their names on the dotted line, though, are they allowed to seal their “official marital status” with a kiss.  Cheers all around.

During the celebration, Cayatonto receives Issa’s text requesting he meet for another er…rendezvous. “—I need to see you as soon as possible.  I’ll meet you at The Sunflowers Café.”  (Be there or be square.) Before he leaves, he congratulates his son and wishes him the best.  Pablo has to remind him that Luzma is standing there.  El Vejestorio (the old fartcicle) is pointedly short with her.  She does her best to admit she’s aware he doesn’t care much for her and promises she’l do her best to make all of them proud of her.  “—Yeah, I hope so!”  He excuses himself brusquely (a tactful way of saying rudely) and races off to meet Issa.

A bit later Agustina returns from the wedding ceremony and spies the two glasses, especially the one with the telltale lipstick stain.  She makes “the face” and slams the glass back down.   When el muy inocente de Dio comes down to greet her, Gussie pitches a jealous fit.  He denies everything and suggests that it was probably Dan and Cami who left the two dirty glasses after a celebratory swallow or two before heading off to the wedding.

Gussie tells him she knows better and besides she can smell Isadora’s perfume!  He tells her she’s spewing nonsense!  (When the facts are against you, lie at the top of your lungs and divert.  Then turn the guilt back onto the accusing party.  Both Issa and Dio are champines with that tactic.)  The hell she is, she tells him! “-- I know that scent all too well!”  “—Are you crazy?  Why would that woman put one foot in this place after the way you threw her out of here?  And besides that, even if she did come, do you think I’d even let her in?  Never in a million years!”  Gussie isn’t quite sure she’s buying it, but she stands her ground.  (Ten points for team Gussie!)  Dio turns on his errant …er…appendage with dignity, as usual.  “—Well, if you don’t believe me then that’s your problem!  You know, you’ve finally turned totally paranoid and so much so that you’re totally insufferable!!”  He huffs and puffs on his way out, relying once again on might being right as his motto.  Gussie glances up at her BIL’s portrait which seems to be sneering or laughing about her continued poor choices in men and she angrily hisses back at it.

Back at the wedding reception there’s goofy chitchat about Rafa’s book.  Yago takes a seat next to Vivi and asks if she’ll show him the photos she took a while ago.  The others chitchat with her about her talent and Dan throws in a request for her to take the pics at their wedding too.  The lights go low and the wedding couple begins to dance.  [The famous singer who I should know, but don’t and figure it has to be Silikon] sings the lover’s theme song.  Yago, looking like a total greaser, totally ignores Rafa and asks Vivi to dance.  Rafa hears and gets “the look” on his face but Viv quickly stoppers the crap bottle by telling Yago she’s there with her boyfriend and would rather not.  (Yago at least knows when he’s been turned down flat.)   “—Ok, I guess you can’t blame somebody for trying, right?”  Yago actually leaves and a disgusted Rafa tells Viv thanks for sticking up for him cuz if she hadn’t put a stop to it, he would have!  Viv laughs and tells him not to start the jealousy thing at this stage of the game.  Besides, she can’t stomach his type. Chitchat follows about who’s best at tripping the light fantastic [el bailón=great dancer] and who is best at tripping over the light fantastic [el trompo=the crummiest dancer] i.e., Rafa vs. Daniel who kids that he can’t dance worth spit.

At the servants’ table, Iliana begs Rod to dance with her and he finally gives in. Doro and Eleu celebrate Doro’s finally giving him “el with a little hoofin’ themselves.  Then there’s poor, moping Nat who tells Pia that at times she’ll wonder if she’ll ever get married.  Piadad says certainly somebody will come along soon.  And waddayaknow?  Right then Aaron steps up to the table and asks Nat to dance with him!  Nat laughs and says only if she doesn’t have to confess or go through the third degree! Cam and Co. are all caught off guard by it--so was Viewerville!

So then, Pia and Hipolito are left.  Must be the vino cuz Piadad boldly asks if he meant what he said to Eleutario in front of the church earlier.  Sure, he says as he makes a bold move to grab her hand, a person always wants to be close to his roots and to his loved ones.  Piadad and he share a smile and a big giggle.  (Awww!)

Somewhere in the room we have Ana telling Ramon that she’s going to Zacateca for her other abuela’s birthday—the abuela she lived with before coming to live with Daddy.  FF>>

Refu admonishes Mariano not to be such a stick in the mud just because Cami didn’t choose him.  Yeah, well, if he’d only shown up before Dan did he laments…..(--And so do we.  This just isn’t sexy in the least, Mar!)  FF>>

Meanwhile, Pablo and Luzma tell each other sweet nothings on the dance floor in between kisses and a few cuts of the proverbial rug as Rocio pines for her lost little lamb of a Pablito. “—No! I can’t lose my son!” FF>>

Padre A joins Os and Dan and Cam at a table and tells them that Teresa and Dante are coming back to Aculco in a few days.  Any news?  Not a thing.  They found no trace of the Farcases or Miriam’s tomb.  Dan feels things are hopeless then.  Os says perhaps not, that hopefully Juarez will be able to come across something pertinent and helpful from the bits and pieces the two of them have collected [recabar].  Cam is surprised.  They actually found something?  Yeah, the falsified death certificate and Braulio’s cell phone number—the man that was staying at the B&B.

Nat finally has had enough of being totally ignored.  She tells Yago she needs to speak to him right away and it won’t wait.   Yago’s in a snit.   She wants Yago to make their relationship public cuz she just can’t go on like this.  Isn’t it enough he tells her he loves her?  No.  If his dad could accept Luzma enough to come to the wedding, then why can’t Yago fight for her, also?  And anyway, she hates doing things in secret.  Illy and Rodolfo dance together and walk arm in arm, (even kiss in public….).   Yago doesn’t like being compared to a low account-no account  like Rodolfo.  If she wants Rod then go right ahead!  No, she says, she loves Yago and wants to be with him!  Yago asks what she’ll do if he doesn’t and she says well, the best thing then is to just end it, here and now.  Are you serious?  Yes, very.  El Yak-ass de Yago tells Nat he doesn’t like ultimatums.    She says then he should do it willingly and not because she’s asking--make that begging—him to.
Speaking of true love, Cam and Dan wish Luzma and Pablo well as they drive off on their gran noche de boda [big wedding night] and honeymoon bliss.   Of course, poor Nat stays inside, tears running down her cheeks cuz deep inside she knows Yago’s a lost cause—or at least we hope that’s the reason.

Issa is waiting for Cayatonto at the restaurant.  She can’t wait and immediately hands over the condemnatory letter from Rocio to Don Daniel written years ago.  “--I hope that with this it is obvious that…that…this is the proof that she was Don Daniel’s lover.”  Cara de momentary anger and  I-knew-it! de Cayatano.

Everyone’s saying their good-byes.  Cami tells Amanda that she’s sorry things aren’t going as well as they’d hoped between her and Nat.

Back at Café Rendeznous, Issa fakes a pained expression and feigns sympathy.  “—I know this letter is painful for you to read.  It’s that you don’t deserve this….you don’t deserve to be deceived like this and if I’d continued to keep quiet I’d be your wife’s accomplice.”  Cayatonto says no problem and that he’d have probably done the same.  She continues to stick the knife in and twist.  “--The letter was written twenty-three years ago.”  Yes, he says, she wrote it just at the time that Pablo was born.  They were having terrible problems with their marriage and were seriously contemplating divorce.  But, she got pregnant with Pablo.  The truth is that knowing I was going to be a father again stopped me from it.   Pablo’s birth saved our marriage.  That’s why he’s my favorite.  She asks him to forgive her for mentioning it (oh, why not?????) BUT couldn’t Pablo be Don Dan’s and Roc’s love-child?  I mean, she says, instead of being an Alberrán, he might very well be a Monterde!  Cara de gritting dentures de Cayatano.

Por ella soy Eva #128 1/18/13: The Seduction of Eva; Claudia is Caught; Fern has a 'Tude; JC is Bummed.

Hi Y'all this recap will not be in order. They went from scene to scene so quickly, I am combining them for the continuity of the story.

Tonight we start with the meeting between Eva and Helena is Helena's office. Seems they are talking about feelings. Hmmm, whose you ask. Well, seems Helena is telling Eva bout that. Eva had asked Helena if she was now going to hook up, er get back with JC once again, since Helena and Pluti are kaput, but nah, not so much. Helena looks at Eva and says those eyes, again! Helena is afraid to be buffaloed, er, swayed by JC's enormous charms and isn't going to "fall" again. But she has a secret to tell Eva, pinky swear, no telling anyone, but ya know how Pluti spread it around that Helena and Pluti were doing it like rabbits, well so not true, doncha know! Cause, wait for it, Helena never loved Pluti, who knew! Helena only has eyes for JC! She lurvvees JC still, and here Eva sings, Cristo!, but she just can't trust him. Even still Helena thinks of JC's kisses, his caresses, more than ever! Eva advises Helena to tell JC exactly what she feels, Eva is sure that JC would be over the moon. Helena still isn't sure and tells Eva not to say anything. So here comes Renato annoucing a meeting with Adri, and as soon as Helena goes out the door, Eva is doing a mad dance, and Renato looks at her strangely and Eva goes out the door too to the meeting. It is to introduce Mendoza.

El Mundo de Telemundo (y mas) - Week of January 24 - Discuss among yourselves

Happy Martin Luther King Day! Great work by all the recappers on the various Telemundo and other network shows. As Pablo Escobar nears its end, I thought folks might enjoy this excerpt from a travel article in the New York Times today about two guys reporting on a trip to Medellín:

In the 1980s and early 1990s, you traveled to the largest cocaine-producing city in the world in the same manner that you lowered yourself into a tank of feral hogs: accompanied by either an insurance policy or a very porous concept of life expectancy. Then the home of the drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, the city had its renown for cultivating prize orchids usurped by its ability to put the k in the word “traffick.”
As Michael Kimmelman reported in this paper last year, the annual homicide rate in Medellín 20 years ago was 381 per 100,000. In New York City, this would come to more than 30,000 murders a year.
Mr. Escobar’s death at the hands of the police in 1993 did much to cool the fires. At first the changes were subtle; gang members reportedly started showing up at group therapy sessions; former hit men started taking guitar lessons. Then this city of 3.5 million was gradually graced with a series of improvements befitting its jewel-like setting in a lush valley surrounded by green mountains. Parks, libraries, museums and hotels were built. A gleaming metro system was completed in the mid-90s; in 2006 and 2008, gondolas providing service to the city’s hillside shantytowns were added, reducing what had been a two-hour trip down to a few minutes. Fernando Botero, a Medellín native, donated more than 1,000 pieces of his own and others’ art to the Museo de Antioquia. Birds, in short, began to twitter.
Eager to sample this new Medellín, I canvassed my loved ones for a traveling companion. Thinking his essential winsomeness would be the perfect litmus test for any chicanery or danger, I selected my puckish 24-year-old assistant, Ryan Haney, a heterosexual mama’s boy who sometimes refers to his knapsack as “my little bag.” I knew Ryan would want to run the idea past his mother, Angela; 24 hours later, we received her blessing.
Our first point of order was to take one of the several Pablo Escobar tours now offered in Medellín. Having heard that one operator’s Escobar tour ended in a conversation with Roberto Escobar in his living room (Roberto, Pablo’s brother, was the Medellín cartel’s accountant), I wrote to the company, but was told they were no longer working with Roberto Escobar, who they said now painted his brother as a hero. A second tour operator I contacted added that Roberto now claimed that his job for the Medellín cartel had been to design submarines. I ended up enlisting Juan Uribe, a warm, emphatic tour guide in his 60s who took us to four Escobar-related sites. We saw the apartment building where Mr. Escobar’s wife and bodyguards lived; the roof where he was gunned down by police; a neighboring roof the police used to remove his body (Mr. Uribe: “They needed a lower roof. He was very heavy then”); and Mr. Escobar’s grave.
Between sights, Mr. Uribe recounted how the drug lord started his career by stealing headstones from cemeteries and reselling them, and how he gradually widened his power base, even holding office in government at one point. Ryan took all the accounts of cocaine-fueled mayhem in his stride, but when we visited the grave in a lovely, elevated cemetery in the middle of town, I started to feel vaguely anxious. I asked, “There aren’t cameras anywhere that are recording us, are there?” Mr. Uribe smiled, then pointed at four spindly bushes next to Mr. Escobar’s grave and mused, “Microphones.”

Amor Bravío #107 (Uni 102) Thu 1/17/13 Amor del Bueno

Cayetano welcomes Juarez into his office. He won't tell Juarez where Isadora is until he knows why Juarez is looking for her. He refuses to let Juarez "harass" her with more questions about her son's death. Juarez pacifies him, so Cayetano hands over the name of the hotel. The Shrieking Harpy Cayetano Married comes in and shrieks at him, effectively throwing him into the arms of the woman she'd like him to stay away from. Cayetano has had enough of her ear-splitting histrionics and storms out of his office, after telling her she's "colmando la paciencia" (trying my patience).

Dio and Isa come up for air, finally, mostly so she can fish for some jealousy from Dio. He tells her to sleep with whoever she wants to, he doesn't care. "Oh, right. You're only worried about Camila." "Hey, baby, not that we can't have fun!" Isadora's not going to be somebody's FWB, or so she claims for about two seconds, but she caves…right onto his desk she caves.

Por ella soy Eva #127 1/17/13: 'Til You Come Back to Me- That's What I'm Gonna Do

Rebeca stops Helena in the halls of GI and gives her a lecture on the values of being a married woman, taking a few swipes along the way at single mothers and their shame.  Rebeca tells Helena she shouldn't pass up the opportunity to be Sadie, Sadie, married lady.  Helena is incredulous.  She tells Rebeca she'd rather be single than marry someone only for their name or status (you hearing this, catwoman?).  Rebeca is pleased to realize the piranha will not be returning to her wolf.

Eugenia is telling Juan she knows it was Claudia who switched her meds and sent her on that little caper.  Juan wants her to tell Modesto, but Eugenia protects Claudia because of the pain she is suffering at her mother's death.  Juan presses Eugenia for details of her conversation with Helena, but Eugenia admonishes him that she won't do it.

Helena is at the dinner table with Lalito.  He says something about Pluti helping him with his homework, and Helena confesses that she won't be marrying the Putz.  She asks if he's sad and no, he's happy just living with her and his abuela.  Lalo asks if she will marry someone else besides Plu-terco.

Rebeca is spying on Helena's emails, and she sees that the councilman from Playa Majagua will be at GI's anniversary party.  Renato comes in and she insults him as usual with feminine nicknames.  He gives her the program for the anniversary party and she sees that Marcela is giving a presentation.  She scowls and  bothers the Virgin to help her with her evil plans for revenge on Marcela and Helena.

Dances has listened to the argument, they tell him they are sibs. Bea confirms to Dances that Frankie is her bro, she had not told him she worked at MetaImagen. Dances apologizes. Frankie reluctantly shakes his hand.

Still Crying for my baby

Adri at the baby toumb, tells her she will have to wait a few days to open the toumb… dad confessed to my godfather you had not died, but this could be another lie of his… (cries holding the angel statue as if it were her daughter)

Gilda leaves Bea at front desk, asks her to bring the providers records up to date.

Bea tells Dances that Nil-Son wants him to go to the Design Dept (Vicky’s area)

Where do you know my boss from?

Frankie asks Bea why Dances defended her, Bea explains they are not quite friends, just dancing partners… Frankie warns her he knows very little about Dances. She tries to reassure him she will be fine. At this moment she is only interested in her son. She just will go dancing to distract herself.

Little Leo at school

At school Guillo is behaving like little Leonardo, acting really nasty and talking trashy to his play partners. Leo comes to the school to bring Guillo a huge box of fried chicken with the usual unhealthy sides…

Leo asks Guillo if his mom has come over or called him (Thanks Madelaine for reminder: of course we all at caray know she did call and wanted to talk to Guillo but Leo would not let her, so this man is beyond growing noses, this man is pure evil using his son to get at Bea like that). Guillo says no. But tells his dad that mom got a job, she is working. Leo is surprised.

Big brother says be careful who you dance with

Frankie insists to Bea that she should leave the job for her own safety (thinking of Leo) Bea says she just got separated, is living on charity of others, and wants not to depend on Leo anymore, so she wants to keep working. Frankie apologizes for not understanding at first. You know you can count on me.

Sorry, sis, I can’t be part of forgive and forget dinner party

Bea tells him about her dinner last night with both parents. Frankie is surprised that Felipe could dine at same table with Pau-whinner without losing his appetite. Has he forgotten she abandoned us? Bea says none of us have forgotten. But she is our mother and we need to try to get close to her now that she is alone. Frankie resists… too many problems right now, no room for Paula Trejo drama issues.

Nikki gets advice … from KenDrat! Yikes!

Nikki and KenDrat have a coffee, KenDrat questions Nikki on her wish to move to Europe. Nikki admits she has to put distance between her and her bodyguard. (Frankie is confessing to Bea same thing, his feelings toward Nikki. Bea worries, but he won’t admit his feelings can be summarized as ‘love’.). Kendrat guesses right that Nikki has fallen in love with Frankie. Nikki admits she ‘wants’ him. (Bea makes a weird comment about ‘the bodyguards of Balvanera family’… this wakes Frankie’s curiosity, but Bea won’t spill the beans about Vicky on Angel’s bed… Bea tells Frankie she thinks Nikki is frivolous and stuck-up. Frankie knows it. But it doesn’t matter anymore now that she is moving to Europe.) KenDrat advices Nikki ‘good sex does not guarantee financial security’ ‘if you want him so much, go into a no-contract relationship with him, enjoy him! But a serious relationship with your bodyguard would be ‘pathetic!’. (Frankie thinks that Nikki leaving is best for everyone).. Nikki says if I leave, the temptation will be over.

Nothing like a walk in the park to get ideas in order

Angel has escorted Vicky to a park, where she put her thoughts in order. Now she is ready to go to the office. She thanks Angel for worrying about her, his loyalty and his respect for her. He says she deserves it, he admires her. Vicky says not everyone thinks the same way you do. It is time to face ‘my reality’.

Home sweet Home … or is it?, say Mama Bear and Little Bear

Cris and Lilli arrive, they have the blues about having gone back to town, Lilli thinks her testimony was useless, Cris is super sad about the ‘casita’ that went up in smoke.

Lili stays in kitchen, Cris goes to bedroom. Cris yells for Lili to come. The bed is not as I left it. Did you make the bed and then lie on it? No, I don’t make the bed so badly. Cris smells the pillow… smell this… Fine women's perfume. (OH-NO HERE WE GO AGAINs heard around all living rooms in caray ville)

Vicky and Angel arrive at office… She does not want to see Nil-Son yet.

Bea tells Frankie that Mrs Vicky arrived. She looks fine, although a bit hurried. Gilda calls Nil-Son at his office to tell him Vicky arrived.

The jealous rages at the office, act I

Nil-Son barges into Vicky’s office, right by Angel. Yells at Vicky what the hayride were you doing last night?? (turns to Angel) You shut up, Imbecile!

Vicky: I did a lot of things last night but none were anything similar to what you were doing with that redhead in your office!! I want a DIVORCE!!

Wind up for second Act

At apartment of short fuses, Paula arrives casually, Lilli tells her Cris is very upset. She is talking to herself in bedroom… She is roughly undoing the bed, Lilli has to give some excuses for her to Paula. Lilli leaves Paula and Cris alone (OH NOOOOO!!) Paula asks Cris the obvious (what is up with you?) Cris tells her what she found when she arrived home.. Let a lightning kill me right now if that woman did not sleep in my bed!! Darn it!! (Paula tells her she has never experienced a similar situation… oh yeah?) Cris begs Paula shaking her around to tell her who slept in the bed, you know it!! Tell me!! Are we friends or not?? Then tell me what you know! Suelta la sopa!!! Sueltala!!! (Paula tells her it was… wait for it… wait for it… Vicky B, she saw her herself)

Cris goes totally betserk, Paula cannot do anything to calm her down. Cris curses the day she agreed to Angel working for Vicky. Lilli arrives again and finds Cris totally out of control. ‘that woman collected what we owed her with plenty of interest!!’ ‘what are you talking about mom??’ ‘if she thought she can steal my husband, she is way wrong!!’

(Lilli asks Paula what happened. Paula just tells her your mom will explain later when she calms down)

Vicky survives the first battle of the jealous rages

Back at Vicky’s office chaos… Nil-Son wants Angel to leave, but Vicky won’t let Angel leave. She insists in starting divorce paperwork right away. Nil-Son wants to explain… Angel wants to leave (understandably) … Nil-Son begs… Vicky says talk to the lawyer. Nil-Son refuses to leave the office, even less leave her life. He assures her that redhead woman means nothing to him (nose growing somewhere or his face turning lobster red??) he proceeds to spill nonsense excuse that he rejected the readhead many times but last night he could not resist the temptation and lost control… Vicky says you knew exactly how I would react if this ever happened… Nil-Son begs some more… for our daughter… forgive me!... Vicky says my dad taught me to be strong. I cannot live with a weak person who inspires pity on me. SO leave, I have ejected you from my life. (you go Vicky! Stay strong girl!!)

He leaves, but not before he says ‘only want to tell you I love you’ She says ‘the problem is that in my dictionary, that word implies absolute faithfulness, not so in yours.’

Dances gets the ‘can’t see you’ treatment from his own staff

Frankie and Angel talk about Bea and her job there. Angel supports Bea, he understand her need to feel like she can support her son.

Frankie asks Angel about Vicky… But Angel respects the silence code.

Dances comes over and invites them to coffee… Angel immediately asks Frankie if he hears thunder and rain up there..(they are mocking ignoring Dances totally intentionally) Dances gets the drift and says go ahead with your conversation and make believe I never came by.

As the final touch Frankie warns Dances that his sister has someone to protect her… as long as you don’t cross the line with her there won’t be any trouble. (Bea has witnessed this convo and worries that her friendship with Santino brings grief to her brother at work. She also thinks that from the way Vicky and Nil-Son are behaving, the problem that might be behind her sleeping in Angel’s bed is their relationship)

Mami, now I want to leave… now I don’t

Nikki comes in Vicky’s office, they won’t tell her anything about what happened, self-absorbed Nikki does not catch any irregular wind drift, she hugs Papito Nil-Son who is extra cuddly with her as show-off to Vicky, then he leaves.

Vicky asks Nikki why she returned from hacienda so fast. Nikki tells mom she figured out what she wants to do, she wants to move with Auntie Adri to Paris… Vicky says you better think again, Adri is here in Mex. We found out because she had an accident. But she is fine, what worries Vicky is Adri has not contacted her, which she does not understand. Nikki says Tia Adri has always acted with mystery.

Vicky gets sad that Nikki wants to leave, precisely now. Nikki says you have said yourself that I need to fly with my own wings and make my own way. Vicky begs her not to leave her at this moment. Nikki says ok, I will stay and all live happily. I love you mami.

Nil-Son arrives at the meeting with Anibal and staff, and tells Anibal Vicky is here, she is fine, but just asked me for divorce.

Angel asks Frankie what is up with Nikki wanting to go to Europe. … Just at that moment Nikki comes out, sends Angel to Vicky’s office, and lets Guzmancito that she is not going to Europe anymore. On their way out Nikki spots Bea and remembers when she saw her with Frankie and thought she was his lover. Nikki gets her usual ‘welcoming committee’ mode ‘wow, gorilita, I did not know you had slipped one of your ‘novias’ in the company.’ Frankie clears up that Bea is his sister, not his novia, and she got the job fair and square, not because he recommended her. Nikki apologizes to Bea with her usual ‘sorry!, neta!’ Frankie and Nikki leave.

Bea takes a call from Tomasina. Tomasina is worried about Vicky. Bea tells her Vicky arrived fine. Tomasina announces to staff that Vicky is fine!! Polita gets really happy. Jean Marie wants to send a bouquet of lilies to Od-iosa Longoria. Tomasina warns JM that if Vicky finds out of his friendship with Od-iosa, she will be mad. What do you want? To be cook for Od-iosa? No way, I am happy here! Just want to show admiration to the ‘(French for) most beautiful woman in the world’. Tomasina gets a call, and runs out without giving any explanation.

Just when we thought the worst was over… leave it to Cris to raise the chaos bar

Vicky is left alone with Angel in her office again. She feels everyone is leaving her. Angel tries to reassure her, she has her character left.. Besides, what else can happen? (oh ouch, Angel, you spoke too soon!)

In Barges Cristina totally out of control… Bea cannot stop Cris, who waggles her like a rag…

Previews:

Cris also drags Angel like a rag when he asks her to stop talking silly…

Cris nags ‘it would be the pits that after she steals my husband, she expects me to apologize!! If you want him, keep him!! (dragging/flipping around some furniture for good measure)

Vicky yells at Cris not to disrespect her!

Old News in El Pueblo

Luzma’s School:  Luzma and Irena walk along chatting about her upcoming boda.  She is pleased that the principal is being so understanding about her taking time off from school. Irena tells Luzma she has earned the principal’s generosity.  Suddenly, Pablo pops up at the school for reasons yet unclear causing Luzma to ask" what's up?".  He tells Luzma that all is well again at La Malquerida, that Camila and Dan are owners again and that they want her to return to the ranch.  Happy hugs all around.  Pablo is seen talking on the phone with big bro Mariano about the news at the ranch.  They agree they have no love lost with the owner-for-a-day Isadora.  More to the point, the brothers wonder why she and Cayetano are hanging around together.  Something is fishy in the family.

Por ella soy Eva #126 1/16/13: I Repeat, She Doesn't Love You!!

Good evening all.  I am still celebrating the break-up of Pluti and Helena.

We begin with “Dog"berto making a crappy rhyme about the beautiful Mimi. (Boy is he annoying and not much to look at either)  He is looking for work and Mimi asks him if he is also looking for job to exploit an aspiring, talented young girl.  He is going to show Mimi how he has changed. (I wish that Mimi was a magician and could make him disappear!!)

Chepina tells Eugenia about the medicine change and Eugenia concludes that it was Claudia.  Chepina also lets Eugenia know that she found Claudia snooping in her bedroom. Chepina also lets Eugenia know that Claudia wasn’t home when the “chauffeur” came to take Eugenia to the fake casting call but Claudia knew that she had gone to a casting call.  How would she know if she wasn’t involved? It’s a shame that she is so young and so evil.  Eugenia feels that she continues to suffer because of her mother’s death.

Helena recounts to Eva the story of how Juan risked being discovered in taking his mother to the hospital.  Eva had some choice adjectives to describe Juan Carlos- handsome, intelligent, nice, gentleman, etc.  Oh why is Helena still worried about Pluti??  She realizes that she doesn’t love him and that he is suffering.  Eva wants to let out a hoola-Yippeee!!!  She is better alone than being with him and Pluti overhears the conversation.  Helena thanks Eva for her support and that she remembers –at the beginning of her romance with Pluti- Eva was questioning her feelings.  The genius Pluti- concludes that Helena was influenced by Eva to break up with him because she couldn’t have broken up with him on her own volition.
It was that damned Eva’s idea and she is going to pay!

Helena suggested that Lucia help Eva with the wedding planner.  Eva (who looked like she ate sand) said that she was enthusiastic about her wedding and her face tells it all- LOL

Pluti tells Adriano that Helena broke up with him.  He didn’t do anything. It’s Eva’s fault. (Okay- sorry but I digress- Pluti is a little bitch running from person to person whining- first to Mad Dad to try to get Helena back ad now to Adriano, to try to blame Eva and I guess have Adriano speak to Eva- get a backbone man!! Take no for an answer!!!!)
Adriano doesn’t want to hear it.  Eva had never liked him and she influenced Helena.  Adrian believes that he is mistaken.
Helena doesn’t want it to be difficult for Pluti at work and Eva stops her and tells her to remember that she still needs evidence for Juan Carlos.  She has to keep her eyes on Pluti and Rebeca.  Helena thinks that maybe Adriano is behind the fraud and Eva defends him.

Pluti is misinterpreting things.  Try to reconquer (what are we in the medieval times?) your girl instead of blaming others.  All women are the same- when you want to leave them then they want you.  Thank you, Adriano for your pearls of wisdom.  Pluti suggests that when Adriano marries Eva, he takes her as far away from him as he can.
Eva tries to convince Helena that Juan Carlos deserves another chance   Helena has doubts. (This reminds me of the movie Moonstruck.  She needs a slap to snap out of it!!)
Lucia bursts into Helena’s office to let her know that the whole company knows about Pluti and her break up.  Helena rips Lucia a new one.  Helena imitates Lucia.  She is furious that Lucia told everyone her secret.

Before Adriano leaves he is going to form a council that will direct the company that will take some of the responsibility from Pluti.  Pluti wants to know do you have confidence in me or was this Eva’s idea?  It was Eva’s idea.

Marsela, Santi and Renato spend time in the hallway discussing if the rumors are true.  They ask for Ferni, Marsela says that he is fine and happy at his new job.

Why is “Dog’ berto outside of Grupo Imperio?
The Dog asks for Eva at the front desk.  He is informed that Eva is a partner and what is the nature of his visit.  The Dog has hit the jackpot.

Pluti flips!! Adriano says that Eva only proposed the council.  Adriano blames Pluti’s attitude on his break up.  Adriano suggests that Pluti take a day off.  Pluti can’t, he needs to keep himself busy.  No one knows how men can suffer at the fault of a bad love affair.

The Dog gets the lowdown on Eva who became a partner upon Dona Antonia’s death.  The Dog got what he wanted and leaves. Pain!!!

Pluti wants the largest bouquet of flowers possible to send to Helena.  The note should read: to the most beautiful woman in the word, (oh no here comes Rebeca.) I’m not conforming to your good bye; I know that you will soon return to me, because our love is much stronger than this passing (temporary) crisis.  Come back to me my love (my life) if not you will tire of my insistence.

Rebeca starts her crap- oh why did the social climber leave you or did she find out that you aren’t a good lover or did she find a true man, capital M (in English) that is more handsome, rich and has more inches than you.

Lucia acting stupid goes to get some copies and Eva asks if she needs a needle and thread to sew up her loose lips.
Helena did send an email to the foreman regarding the foreman of the construction company regarding Playa Mayagua and Helena has Eva’s support.  Eva wants to get the cd in Rebeca’ office, but Helena cautions her.  Eva invites Helena out for a bite to eat but Helena wants to check up on Eugenia.  Helena wants to ask her some things about JC.

FF to Rebeca is still teasing Pluti about the break up and that Helena is deceiving him behind his back.  According to Rebeca its karma, they belong together.  Pluti disagrees and throws her out of his insults amid her flurry of insults.  Rebeca is a woman scorned.  Pluti must pay for those 10 years that they were together.  Lets’ see who will marry you now.

FF Santi brings Lucia some files that she needed.  She seems to be hiding something on the computer.  He tries to invite her out to lunch but she has too much work.
He rushes back into the office. FF

Helena comes to see Eugenia and Eugenia asks whether the visit is to see how she is doing or to ask about Juan Carlos.  Eugenia always believed that he was alive.  My son has not stopped loving you.  There are some things that are bothering Helena-

Lucia is on a matchmaking site.-casate contigo.

Pluti has to do something because the flowers aren’t enough.
Eva is giving make up lessons. To the blue dresses.  Pluti sees her and watches her walk to the elevator.

Eugenia understands Helena’s doubts but Juan Carlos has changed.  She and her husband spoiled him.  Eugenia asks- have you forgiven him for al of the harm that he has done to you?

Eva goes into the elevator and Pluti follows.  He asks Eva- why do you hate me so much?  Listen Pluti- I know that when you were married to Antonia you had a lover. I realized how much my beautiful Antoine suffered over you.  So, whom are you tapping now?  Let me guess, Rebeca, heh!  Is that what you told Helena so that she would leave me?  It wasn’t necessary.  Eva lets out a yell.

Eugenia asks Helena- have you forgiven Juan or not?  I haven’t stopped loving him but I need to trust him.  I still can’t get out of my head how he deceived my family, my son. Etc.
Eugenia again says that he as changed and sees women differently.  Helena doesn’t understand this drastic change with woman.  How does a macho man turn into a gentleman?  Crickets on Eugenia’s part.  The chamaca interrupts and Eugenia introduces her as her husband’s younger daughter.

Pluti yells that Eva is creating a telenovela if she thinks that he had a lover.  She is worse than anything that he could imagine.  This is what he thinks that she told Helena.  I didn’t tell her anything; she realized that she didn’t love you.  Repeat- She doesn’t love you!!  She just a little confused and no one not even you can separate us.  Dream on, Pluti!!!

Eugenia tells Helena about Modesto’ s other family.  Juan knows, yes. How did Juan take the news?  Not too well at first but its her decision. But Eugenia is confused as to what decision to make.  She is not sure of what she will do.  Helena’s mother is having a similar difficult marital issue that is personal.
Eugenia hopes to have convinced Helena that her son has changed.  He has to demonstrate his innocence.  He is no perfect but he is not a thief.  He deeply loves you, Helena.  She thought bubbles to reading Juan’s letter.

Keep threatening me but I will stick to Helena because she is in a fragile state
Unlike you Pluti, I don’t have to go running to my man Adriano to tell him that you are threatening me.  If you don’t learn to respect women, I will show you physically. I’m not going to lose Helena due to your bitterness.  Listen Pluti- Helena DOESN’T LOVE YOU!!!  She will never love you!!  Is there another man in her life????  The elevator door opens and Eva walks out.

At school- Kevin asks Danny about the joke that they played on Dona Eugenia.  Danny says- hey that’s your friend.  Kevin tired calling her all weekend and she didn’t answer.  According to Danny- that’s how women are they want to keep us interested.  Just grab her up.  (I hope that I heard wrong)

Marsela wants to present her thesis at the anniversary celebration.  Adriano is very proud of Marsela.  She is focusing on the Mexicans who attended tourist conventions in the last year.  Adriano suggests that she consult Renato and Rebeca and Marsela’s face drops.

Mimi is giving skin care tips to a young girl and in walks “Dog”berto.  She never ceases to amaze him.  “Dog” berto tries to talk Mimi into going into business with him, open up a beauty salon, esthetics shop, etc. since she has some famous beauty make-up clients.   Ewwww!!!

Marsela would rather work directly with Renato as opposed to involving Rebeca.  Eugenia tells Juan/Eva that Helena is an enchantress.  She advises Juan to let Helena know soon that he is Eva.
“Dog"berto is envisioning Mimi’s name on a marquee, with the inside equipped with a spa.  He will evict the renters.  “Dog” berto has big dreams-oh boy!  Mimi wants to know how is she going to finance this venture.   The Dog suggests Eva.  The Dog is trying to make up for the wrong that he committed.

Eugenia feels bad on deceiving Helena with Eva.  She wants Juan Carlos to come clean.  But it’s not the right time. Eugenia will not give Juan/Eva any inkling on what she and Helena discussed, or on how to reconquer her. He will have to do it on his own.  What she and Helena discussed is between Helena and Eugenia.  Eugenia felt bad that he fell for the casting scam.   She knows that Claudia changed her medicine.  (The chamaca from hell!!!)  Juan/Eva called her the demon chamaca.

Daniel meets up with Jennifer and flips out on her, that he was waiting for a long time for her.  She was chatting with few friends and didn’t let him know.  She asks him to forgive him. - What a creep.

Coming attractions:  Is Pluti planning revenge against Eva?

Amores Verdaderos #47 Tue 1/15/13 Many Men Making Moronic Decisions

LET'S GET STARTED!!!

REFRIED: At the agency, Bea is telling Big Angel and Vicki that she's going to be staying with her . . . neighbor, Paula, that evening. We are establishing that no one will be at Big Angel's apartment this evening.

Big Angel tells Vicki that working will help her forget her troubles. Pushes her in her wheelie chair. LOLs around and light-heartedness.

Nikki is at old homestead. She's afraid of the dark. The nice housekeeper lady is bringing in kerosene lamps just in case the power goes out due to the storm. It is likely to happen. Then Nikki is given dinner by our hottie Guzmancito. Some nice pasta. She's astonished that he cooked it. He learned it while he was in military school from the Italian chef. She wants him to sit and eat with her. He's not hungry.

The power goes out. She runs to him and hugs him in her fear. He looks abashed/bemused.

THE NEW: Guzmancito asks her if she's afraid. Of course not! She pulls away again. When the lightening hits and lights flicker, she relents and admits that she doesn't want him to leave the dining area.

No, of course she's not scared of the dark!

At the agency: Vicki and Big Angel working late. Big Angel brings in some yummy-looking pizza and soft drinks. They start to chatter. This pizza is just like what she used to eat with Adriana, Vicki says. They talk a bit and then the topic goes to that hideous painting that Big Angel knows that Vicki painted. He says that artists paint things that they have strong feelings about. She agrees that the hideous muscle-man painting of his was done to capture his "strength and energy." Okay whatever. A bonding moment occurs between boss and bodyguard.

He strikes a pose. They laugh.

Slutty Kendra-ho arrives at Nelson's office wearing a fake red wig and little else. She does a little strip tease and wants to tempt him at work. He at first resists but Little Nelson has other ideas. Yukky love scene commences.

The Slutty One presents a temptation that is too much to resist.

Por ella soy Eva #125 1/15/13: In Which Pluto, Like Many Rotten Scoundrels, Thinks a Fower Arrangement Will Make Up for His Being a Tool

Eugenia is asleep in the hospital and her weak, clueless husband hovers over her. The doctor tells him: "Somebody's been changing her medicine!!" Stupid Modesto wonders if she did it herself. When she wakes up he does not tell her about the switched medicine.

Eduardo orders Helena to marry Pluto! "He's the best you're gonna get. All women need a man so they won't get lost. You need a man to take care of you." "Don't you respect us at all?" "Don't start with your feminist bull. You poisoned your mom with it." "You had her in hell for 30 years, I saw you mistreat her, insult her, put her down. You wrecked the best years of her life, you beat her till she aborted a child, you don't call that damage?" It's very satisfying scolding. "You have no moral right to tell me what to do. And leave mom in peace. She's putting her life back together. The best you can do for her is give her the divorce." Silvia enters: "Eduardo, if you want to see Lalo he's in the park." "I want to talk." "But I don't, and I have a lawyer coming." After Ed leaves, Silvia annoyingly stands up for him: "He cares about you, Helena." FF>>

Ikky Daniel smarms all over Jennifer, making out aggressively outside her house. She says they should leave, her parents might see. He says she's a woman now and should put out, and, she should wear sexy clothes for him too. Then she asks: "Where were you yesterday when I went to the movies with parents?" "I was with my mother! I think only of you!" He asks what she wants to do, the answer is clearly supposed to be "hump you, you hunk," but actually she tells him she wants french fries and a movie. He implies she doesn't need any french fries. "What, am I fat?"

After the movie Daniel points out the heroine "did everything for the passion of her guy. Could you do crazy things for love? I could!" They are right inside the house, he won't let up, finally she pushes him out the door. Then Fer comes and wants a talk. "Are you still my princess? How are things? We never talk. I like Daniel, it's ok with me if you marry him." "DAD that's not on the horizon. Do you want to know if we..." "NO I do NOT want to know. I trust Daniel." "Do you trust ME, dad?"

Dagoberto comes to see Mimi at the pension. He asks the desk lad about Eva, particularly asking where she works. There is ominous music. In the back, JC asks how she feels: Mimi says she doesn't want Dagoberto, really, but she remembers... "Aw, your problem is, you're not getting any." "No, my problem is that I like Adri." "I'll tell him it's you who loves him (and who gave him that night of passion)." "Don't you dare."

Changing the subject, JC is deliriously glad Helena blew off Pluto. Mimi warns him: "It's like baseball, it's not over till it's over." "Don't spoil my happy moment." He floats happily into Grupo Imperio in the morning.

Eugenia and Modesto come home, Claudia kisses her father, ignoring Eugenia, who pointedly looked her way and asked: "Who could have been so cruel as to treat me this way?" Claudia looks guilty.

In Helena's office there is a giant flower arrangement from Pluto, he comes along to beg for another chance. Helena: "I ask you not to make this difficult. Let's see each other as little as possible." "You're my life, my future, don't leave me." "My decision is made!" She leaves, he tells himself she WILL marry him.

Eva perches next to her eager suitor in Adri's office and informs him that at the anniversary bash "we are NOT going to share a room." Adri says he can't wait to marry and give the business to Pluto. Eva is impactada: "Back up - what did I hear?" "Pluto will take over so you and I can travel the planet." "Thanks for consulting me! You think I want to go to those horrible places? I'm not going any farther than the nice Mexican resorts. And anyway, it's old people who retire, you have a lot more juice in you. And Pluto is not up to it! Now I'm in a bad humor, no kiss for you, you make decisions like a kindergardener."

The maid Chepino tells Modesto she didn't mess with the medicine and wants to tell him she saw Claudia do it, but he won't listen. He lies to Eugenia when she comes in but after he leaves she gets the truth out of Chepina. The two of them know it was Claudia that did it, and also Claudia that pulled the "casting" caper. Eugenia: "She's so young to be so evil. But I still feel sorry for her, she's sad for the death of her mother."

Dagoberto tells Mimi he's looking for work. "Why don't you find a new, naive young girl and make her promises about her career and then betray her!?!" "Don't be bitter, I'll prove I've changed."

Amores Verdaderos #46 Mon 1/14/13 Adriana Disappears Again; the Shrew and the Gorilla Have a Happy Holiday

* The Angel of Music Hugs and the Little Painter meet in the hall of the Balvanera hacienda where the big guy tells the Senora that he didn’t know she painted so good. He seriously sounds like a 10 years old schoolboy who’s impressed by his favourite teacher. Vicky is flattered but she quickly corrects him: you mean Tomasina, don’t you. Well, yes, of course, he’s talking about Tomasina. She’s a very talented painter and it seems she can see through his very soul. After he leaves, Victoria whispers worriedly that oops, Arriaga pretty sure knows it was her who committed that crime again good taste.

Amor Bravío #104 (Uni 99) Mon 1/14/13

Capitulo 104:    Confessions, Tyranny, and Mutiny

Lo del Pasado

Augustina asks Judith about the lack of photos in the house; Camila calls Augustina to tell her that the accident wasn't an accident.  Rosario cries in the church as she remembers Alonso and declares that the evil ones must pay.  Padre Anselmo hears Rosario's confession and realizes she is talking about Alonso Lazcano.

Por ella soy Eva #124 1/14/13: Ahora Soy Very Internacional

We open on a fun outing with Helena, Lalo, and Helena's mom, playing around at some fun-park. Surprising, that we're so close to the end of the show and some good guys are still happy!

But then Pluto bursts into the home as if nothing had changed between him and Helena, with a zillion gifts for everybody. Helena and her mother look distressed.

Then Helena asks him if he had forgotten that they broke it off. Amusingly (and annoyingly), he says no, but he thought it was all because of Helena's state of ire, and maybe she's cooled down by now. Needless to say, she is not convinced.

Santi and Luci - surprisingly, she's not being a total dishrag, and she lays out the rules for him if he's going to stay with her. Oh wait, I spoke too soon. Now she's whining about not having a boyfriend.

Surprisingly, my favorite scene of the epi is a Rebeca scene (!!) - Angelica comes in to boast about a modeling gig she got in America (ahora soy *very* internacional). Rebeca gets grumpy with all the boasting, but the funniest part is how each keeps yanking away the other's wine glass (despite the fact that they each have one - it reminds me of when one of our chickens drops a piece of food just to chase another chicken away from IT'S food), back and forth to accentuate their prideful statements. Eventually, they split the remaining wine

Eva (well, Juan is using his real voice while dressed as her) consults with his ill mom. As he leaves the room, he's caught by his dad, who grills him - "no te metas con mi mujer!" Juan almost slips up! "Me meto porque ella es mi MA- [catching himself] -gistral amiga." Heh.

Eugenia's doc says it's clear that she hasn't been taking her meds. Modesto protests that she has! The doctor says in that case, please bring in her pills so we can see what she's really been swallowing it.

Cut to Eugenia's room, where a skulking Claudia is messing with those very pills, only to be caught red-handed by the maid. Nonetheless, she acts indignant and entitled and obnoxious, very much Claudia.

Let's see, Plutarco once again takes his case to Eduardo, and asks his help in reconquering (seriously, with the way they throw that word around, he's got to be re-re-reconquering her by this point).
