Amores Verdaderos #26 Thu 12/13/12 The Perils of Ms Vikki or Dudley Do Right Takes a Fall
Before I start this recap I want to explain the titles. I am a huge fan of Silent Films, in any language, and what struck me about Ms Vikki in this epi, was she was a lot like the woman in the Perils of Pauline. Men in these film shorts, always thought Pauline needed saving, but actually Pauline ended up saving them. Dudley Do Right, is of course the cartoon. Our Angel is alot like him, except of course he does save the woman every time, and he has a brain. But his good deeds reminded me so much of Dudley Do Right. Now on to the recap.
We open this epi, with the rain, pelting down and our Angel chopping that wet wood. He is determined though to make sure his charge stays warm and dry during this storm. He takes off his belt to secure the pieces of wood and that theystay together so they don't go slip slidin' down that slippery slope, but of course, he didn't think he would be the one to do so. So down he goes, head over heels into this stormy rio, and what happens, you ask? Well, he gets caught by a rock, with his arm, it seems trapped. He is in an awful lot of pain and is grunting so. Then to top it all off, the tree on the bank is struck by lightening and wouldn't ya know it, it catches on fire. Well, the Angel is looking up, and as he does, here comes that flaming tree, falling right on top of him. He is still caught under it, but thank goodness the water washes onto the tree and puts that fire out. We don't want to see our Angel turned into barbeque just sayin'. Anyhoo, he tries to call for help, you can tell he is cold and is going into shock and of course he loses consciousness. What happens next you ask? I'll get to that.
Meantime, Ms Vikki is in the house, safe and dry, but very worried for the Angel, he isn't back yet you see. She is wondering what has happened to him. So what does she do you ask? I'll get to that too.

Amor Bravío #84 (Uni 79) Thu 12/13/12 Timmy’s Fallen Down the Well…eerr, Silo! But Maja’s No Lassie; Isa and Caye Talk Bulls***
The Old
In Casa Dio, Natalia secures a job with Dioniso, deciding to
be a super secret double agent for the Justice League. In front of the church,
Amanda gives Gussy cryptic warnings about her man of mystery husband. At Vivi’s
Casa, Camila and Daniel smooch and canoodle in front of their amigos like
teenagers. Licenciado Bacerra arrives with Dan’s birth certificate, freshly
arrived from Chile. The group rejoices because now Dan can prove he exists and
can finally claim his inheritance. Meanwhile, in a restaurant in town, Ximena
confirms her reservation in Hell by handing Bruno a fat wad of pesos to enact
some malevolent plan on her sister Camila, for which ALonSoLoco will be blamed.
You know you’ve gone too far when Bruno has to ask you if you’re sure you want
to do this to your own sister.
The New
Hissssadora has changed into her most sexy, tight,
high-waist pants, and military bomber jacket for her walk down Money Lane with
Cayetano. At least that’s obviously what Isadora has christened the extensive
fields of Hacienda La Buenaventura, as she calculates the peso to acre value in
her fiendish brain. Cayetano orders one
of his ranch hands to let the bulls loose for a run through the enclosed
pasture. (Fancy cars, athletic prowess, member size, sexual longevity,
BULLS…there are many ways men try to prove their virility. But all Cayetano
needs to do to impress Isa is wave around some Benjamins.)
Ximena and Bruno are also working their fiendish brains
around the subject of money. He’s surprised to learn that she hates her sister
this much, but at the end of the day, all he cares about is the money. He wants
the second half of his payment for the dirty deed in US Dollars. He had thought
he was going to make himself comfortable in Aculco (to stalk Vivi), but after
this risky job, he wants to leave as soon as possible—perhaps go abroad (al
extranjero), and return again after a while. Xi doesn’t care. As long as he’s
around long enough to finish the job, only then will he get the rest of the
money. Bruno assures her, with his slimiest smile, that she’ll be 100%
satisfied.
Cayetano continues to talk bull to Isa, who pretends to be
interested. Toros de lidia and toros de gordo have to be able to run
free in order to be muscular and strong. He takes her to a small shelter house
where they can safely watch the bulls run.
We head back to the love fest at Casa Vivi. Dan and Cam continue
to make out like the cool kids in the corner. Everyone else pretends that the
two of them are listening to them and continue to converse. Osvaldo is very
happy that Dan has backed away from Plan B (aka, turn himself in to the popo).
Camila is also happy that El Más Guapo has changed his mind. She
gives him a few last appreciative kisses, but then announces that she has to go
back to the ranch to work, especially now that Natalia has resigned, and to
deal with Alonso. Both Dan and Osvaldo are concerned to hear about Nat. Cam
doesn’t go into the details, but both Dan and Os can guess the reasons. Os is
sure Amanda is more at ease with Nat being far away from He Who Shall Not Be
Named-- the other one, not the one without a tongue. (If only they knew!) Os
says he’ll offer Nat a job at his notary office. Cami leaves Dan with a few
more kisses and words of love, and makes sure the whole Scooby Gang knows to
give Dan his next dose of medication in TWO HOURS.

Mr Wolf promises to do a better job even though Mr Wolf would rather put his paws on the the little Red-Riding Hood daughter. Mr Wolf growls and Senora Wolf titters and they tumble for a romp in the cottage.

Daniel’s heart and now that he has nothing to lose he suggests that the good
guys proceed with the Plan B that was discussed last night.

Por ella soy Eva #103 12/12/12 Cries, Lies, I Got the Part and a Kiss on the Cheek
12-12-12
¡Buenas noches a todos and Happy Triple Twelve Day!!!
We begin with Lucia rambling on about how Santi can advise her about what a man wants in a woman. (How about, he’s just not that into you, Lucia?) She begs Helena to give her a file, a paper, or something to take to him. Helena agrees with Santi, let him look for you. (Two things- this scene is painful to watch because it reminds me of my junior high school awkward days with boys and does Helena have another pair of shoes, because she has been rocking those cream colored shoes for a few episodes-just sayin’?)
Helena asks Renato to help her to find any information about the fraud. Don Adriano asks- did something happen?
At The Contreras’ house- Jennifer asks if Ferni has resolved his problem at work and he lied and said today it would be resolved. (Why are they lying to the children?) The telephone rings and Ferni answers- if the cable bill isn’t paid today, the service will be cut. Ferni pretends that it’s a job offer. (Everyone is lying!) Marsela smells a rat.
Helena asks Adriano about the recent embezzlement with Fernando and how she feels that maybe Juan Carlos is innocent and was blamed for some shady doings. Adriano is sorry but in Juan’s case his participation was verified. Adriano has doubts and he has Renato checking into it. Adriano misses Juan and loved him like a son. It’s ironic that Juan is still on Helena’s and his mind. Adriano mentions that Eva is interested in the same information and a light goes off in Helena’s mind. (Is Eva involved??)
Marsela runs back into the house because she forgets her wallet, the phone rings. The cable company calls back because the man who answered confused her with someone else, wow, how efficient!!
Marsela will personally pay the bill and realizes that Fernando lied to her about the interview. (Wait, they are all lying!! Someone needs to stop the madness)
Eugenia has an audition and she is thrilled. The brat enters and asks her – where is she going and apologizes for not knocking before entering the room. Claudia with her rude self- throws a wrench into Eugenia’s happiness by letting her know that there will be other actresses at the audition, so she will have competition. Eugenia doesn’t visibly fall for her foolishness and lets Claudia know. Sarcastically the brat wishes her luck.
Eugenia calls Eva/Juan as she steps off of the elevator for a pep talk about her audition. She is having a mini panic attack. She wants Eva to accompany her for support. Eva leaves the empresa.
Helena is thinking about why the name, Maximilian Montes sounds familiar to her. She looks up his former agency, Taurus Travel- and the blue dress remembers that that was the same name as Eva’s old boyfriend. Helena thought bubbles about how Pluti gave Eva info about Max. Is Eva behind the fraud?? It can’t be.
Eugenia meets the producer- Gabriel Rodriguez. He was honored to meet her. Eva mentions many of Eugenia’s old plays.
Helena calls the agency and Senor Montes worked there more than 40 years ago. (I wonder how the secretary knew that so quickly?)
Eugenia is auditioning for a part of a woman who has a child that she didn’t give birth to but loves as her own. (How art imitates life) She has to memorize the part. Eugenia is a nervous wreck.
Eva has some fun as a lion in front of the camera.
Adriano as usual is looking for Eva. He asks Helena, how well do you know her? He asks Helena to be honest with him- does Eva have another man in her life?? Helena’s eyes are like saucers- ¡Que impactada!!!
Santi and Lucia are comparing notes on how sad and lonely their Sunday was. And Rebeca sans animal print hands them some work and is looking for Renato and starts her insinuations about Renato. Santi holds Lucia back. (Rebeca needs a good slap).
Helena reassured Adriano that Eva is not cheating on him. He says that from time to time Eva tells him that she is not the woman for him. Poor Adriano, he is so whipped. This is his first mature relationship with a woman. He had tears in his eyes.
We are at the audition of the series- “A Shadow of a Doubt” with Eugenia Mistrial. Eugenia starts out memorizing the audition and then improvises the part and relates it to her own life, naming Juan Carlos and Modesto. She realizes what she has done and abruptly leaves the set.
Daniel and Jennifer are planning their weekend trip, more lies. Jennifer is now feeling uncomfortable about lying. Daniel wants her to “prove” her love for him. He convinces her to let the lies continue.
Eugenia is upset that she mixed up reality with the play. She is afraid that her dreams of returning to acting will turn into nightmares. Juan/Eva convinces her not to give up. Eugenia got the part!! Everyone loved the improv!!!!
Santi asks Marsela about Ferni’s interview and she tells him that he is lying and is too proud to take the job that she had suggested.
Lucia convinces Cindy to give her some time alone with Renato and go to Human Resources for some gossip.
Helena calls Eva/Juan as she steps off of the elevator. Helena wants to see Juan in the place that they met before. Eva leaves the empresa again.
Lucia makes a fool of herself in front of Renato, asking him if he is okay. Renato turns it around and tells Lucia that she is in rare form and that they should break up.
Juan meets up with Helena. Helena suspects that Eva is involved in the fraud.
Lucia mockingly thanks and blames Santi for her break up with Renato. (I may have to change her name to Estupida) She would rather be a widow than an old maid. He is never to advise her again.
Juan can’t understand why Helena is blaming Eva. Helena tells him about her supposed “jump off”, a young Brazilian man, younger than her had left her place at the same time that she was looking for Eva. Hmm, maybe Mimi is involved (Helena, really?? This sounds, silly!!) Juan tries to convince Helena that there is no clear evidence, just mistaken conclusions. Helena starts from the beginning, Eva wasn’t a candidate to work at the empresa but thanks to Antonia she got the job. Then when Antonia died she left her shares in the company. She lives in that little rooming house isn’t that strange? (Again, Helena, really??)
Oneismo wants to know why Rebeca wasn’t fired. Pluti is keeping her close, because he is sure that she is plotting something. She is flirting with Pluti and Oneismo is not too happy. She thinks that she can get everything with sex.
Helena feels bad because she finally believes Juan. Hmmm, she is describing Eva, and his eyes are similar, she is tall, peculiar, wavy hair with glasses, you will know her when you see her (Oh come on!!!) She is going to continue to find out what Eva knows.
Fernando the loser, leaves his resumes that are either rejected or filed in the circular file at several agencies. I guess he has another night on the couch. After all of that looking for work he needs a rest and dry pants legs.
Helena has to return back to work.
Juan thanked Helena for believing in that he is innocent. She doesn’t want to hear anything about Pluti being involved, but kissed Juan goodbye on the cheek.
Santi convinces Cindy to pass by Human Resources, there is some more gossip and Cindy falls for it again/
For the third time Eva gets off of the elevator and her phone rings, this time it’s Adriano. He hasn’t seen or heard from her and he was worried.
Her phone rings again and Helena wants to talk to Eva.
Santi and Renato discussed the fact that Renato broke off with Lucia and she is crying. Renato said he broke up with her because she was cold, being self-sufficient adhering to Santi’s advice unbeknownst to him to awaken his interest in Lucia. He thanked Santi. Adriano asked Renato about breaking Lucia’s heart.
Helena and Eva have a discussion about Eva deceiving Adriano with her “nephew”. They thought bubble to the time when Helena went to Eva’s apartment and a half dressed Eva answered the door because she supposedly had someone in her room. (A Brazilian man)
It’s paining Helena that Eva is deceiving Adriano, who is too good of a man to be treated like that. (I’m not sure why Adriano had to be fed his drink, by Cindy Blue Dress,) but he started scolding Renato about being in love and going after the woman he loves. For the third time Cindy is sent back to Human Resources.
Eva threw back Helena’s words and said that she doesn’t owe her an answer because she is invading into her private life even though they are friends. Eva makes it clear that there is nothing between she and the young man. Helena brings up other things that Eva is hiding about her personal life that affect Juan. Why are you so interested in the fraud?
Santi has never seen Don Adriano react like he did; it’s probably because of Eva and if Renato is going to break up with Lucia do it like a gentleman. (How do you do that?) I felt like Renato- huh???
Helena doesn’t want to hear Que??
Don Adriano wants to know what is he interrupting. Adriano wants to know why she was late. Eva went to see Eugenia and Helena is eavesdropping
Coming attractions: Helena is doubting Pluti according to Rebeca and is Helena going to find out about Eva??

Guerito cheers Lilli up, don’t worry about Nicky, she barks a lot but will eventually give in. Angel with Hugs walks in and discovers Guerito and Lilli very close, gets irritated, but after Guerito explains that Lilli had to deal with Nicky’s reaction to her job, he hugs Lilli.
Anyballs very loud and offensive argument with little brave painter… she was afraid for his health, that is why she kept him in the dark about the kidnapping. You raised me that way! You said you were proud of me. Who are you to decide? I am a copy of you, unlike Adriana… if anyone knows how much she suffered, that is me! You raised me so I would not be like my mother, allowing you to parade your lover of the month on her face!! (Anyballs raises his hand to slap her but stops)
Lo Nuevo:
Anyballs says he only wanted to be happy in his own way. Vicky says YOU were happy, but not my mother! Or my sister either! I am the only one that knows how much she suffered when you shipped her to Europe against her will!! (sound familiar to Refugio bloggers? That has been my theory all along, that Adriana fell for a simple humble man and was shipped away to separate them, now I am seriously fearing for Guerito’s wellbeing) Anyballs claims her sister was a little rebel at age 15 and his duty was to straighten her ways.
Nicky runs down the stairs to stop the bad scene… she apologizes to little brave painter … but Nicky takes the moment to ask lbp to fire Lilli… not a chance. LBP invites Nicky to go with her and Nill-Son to the lakehouse… Nicky says I won’t spoil your relaxing weekend trip. Anyballs tells lbp that it shows some humanity on Nicky.
Nicky asks to be allowed to go out. LBP asks her not to go out without escort.
Nicky begs LBP and Anyballs to make amends. She leaves. LBP and Anyballs do make amends… Anyballs says don’t worry, go on your trip and don’t worry about Nicky. He keep glorifying his granddaughter, strong like her mother.
Angel with Hugs asks Lilli not to let Nicky get to her.
In runs Polita to tell them what LBP said, that Lilli stays, regardless of who is not happy with that. Angel with Hugs, Guerito and Lilli are all very happy.
Tomasina is helping LBP make her bags… LBP is having second thoughts about going on a trip at this time… Tomasina says they were lucky that Nicky was freed unharmed. LBP shrieks about the families that are not so lucky to get their little spoiled bratt back home.
At the greenhouse Lilli is really taking her job to heart, speaking nice to all the plants… Well, the intimate moment with the plants is ruined by Nicky coming in to provoke… Lilli gets a bit cocky… so Nicky starts dropping all the planters and flowers to the floor… her goal is to destroy all the plants so Lilli will be job-less. Lilli grabs her to stop her. (I bet Nicky never thought Lilly would be a tough little brave girl that COULD fend for herself in physical face-off, I would pay money to see Lilly force Nicky to talk nice to the plants like she does). Lilli grabs, Nicky whines, goes down in pain on floor asks Lilli to let her go. Lilly lets her go, Nicky gets up after gives Lilli a killer stare, bumps her on way out.
Outside, Angel with Hugs and Guerito talk, Guerito can understand, if he had a daughter, he would look after her like Angel does. Shoulder taps exchanged.
Out is coming LBP giving Tomasina a bunch of last minute instructions and requests. She asks Guerito to look after her daughter. On their way go Angel with Hugs and Little Brave Painter for the trip…
Anyballs tells Tomasina not to let Nicky go out and he will be back later to pick her up to take her to the police (I guess he wants Nicky to open a police investigation on the kidnappers).
From the SUV, Little brave painter calls Nill-Son … he is running late at the office. She will wait for him for comida (late lunch in Mex) .. LBP asks Angel if he has been out at Valle Bravo (seems there are very nice lakes there). LBP says she fears the water, so the lake is an issue for her. Any body of water gives her fears. Nill-son likes to water ski so he decided to buy that property.
(I bet her fear of water will come up again later…esp when Nill-son loves water sports)
At the house, Nicky is slurping on some spagueti, shake/ice cream and cake.
Remembers her wrestling scene with Lilli. And keeps on stuffing herself the spaghetti. She calls Lilli ‘perra de barrio’ (slump mutt bi__h)
Back to the lake, they have arrived, she walks out to the narrow pier, Arriaga runs to meet her, even the vibrating dock makes her freak out… he helps her walk down the pier… she grabs on to him for dear life… almost makes him fall along with her in the water. He wants her to concentrate in enjoying the view.
Don’t you enjoy this? This is my thing… pure nature. He keeps trying to help her, gets her to grab his hands to get on the boat. You can tell her stomach is twisting and rolling. Next we see him driving the boat, she is grabbing on to the beams for dear life… she keeps telling him about her fears of water. When she was a kid she almost drowned. He insists she has to overcome it. That is what life is all about. He fears anything that is unknown. But one thing he knows very well is to grill meat. She says it sounds great. He repeats the fields and nature are his thing. He says when he met her he thought they had nothing in common. But thinking about it again, deep, very deep, we are not so different.
He insists that she stand up on the moving boat, to hold on but give it a try. There. (she is now standing behind him, he is whooohooo!! ‘ing… Enjoy!!)
Guerito goes to check on Nicky, hears she is spitting her dinner in bathroom. He asks if she is alright from outside, then walks in. She is in toilet. He tries to grab her and pull her away. She yells at him to get out!! He tells her she needs help. He says she might have bulimia. She has all the symptoms. She denies, denies… Yo no tengo nada!! … Nicky, you are sick and you know it! … Don’t butt in my life, buy yourself a life and charge it to my card, and leave me alone!!
He could care less what she says, they are leaving. She yells she hates him. He tells her he won’t allow her to kill herself, he won’t allow it. She keeps repeating she hates him… and then drops down unconscicous… Guerito embraces her, calls her ‘mi amor’ several times, very concerned at her health.
Nill-son in office with Salsero… everything is honky dory with Little brave painter. LBP and I owe ourselves this getaway. Realized have to break off the affair with KenHo. Salsero says it is a wise decision.
Nill-Son gets a call, seems KenHo did not show up to re-record the blue aqua commercial.
KenHo is at her place too busy with Odette (the competition of LBP’s agency). Odette and KenHo plotted this ‘no-show’ of hers… since KenHo is the ‘image’ of Balbanera business. Of course Odette brought the money she offered. … well, she could not really take the French account from LBP. KenHo claims she did her part of the plan. It was not her fault that Angel and LBP got out of the elevator in time. THEN KenHo takes the check. Odette wants them to keep teaming up on other jobs. KenHo (a.k.a. -0-0-69) wants to know what is next. Odette wants Nill-Son to divorce LBP. She wants to destroy that marriage. KenHo thinks ‘if you only knew that is my goal too’… KenHo takes the new assignment.
Back to the motorboat in the lake… they have made it to shore. He has to walk her down the pier. She complains that the pier is moving a lot. He reminds her they had agreed to try to work on facing her fears…. They end up running down the pier… he is enjoying himself, she is still shaking. No, you REALLY fear water! … she is embarrassed he keeps discovering weak points in her, he says don’t worry, it helps me care for you. He looks at the ‘cabin’… he says it is very peaceful, ideal for like a honeymoon… this is what he likes, the field.
He misses his house in the country so much, but will soon return home.
Back at Balb house, Guerito has Nicky in bed, he brought her something to wake her up. He insists she is bulimic. She asks him to get in his bubble and not bug her. He gets on his cel, she is very upset that he will call LBP. He says not calling your mother, calling a doctor to check you out. She comes to him, cries begging him not to call anyone. If you like me just a little, don’t. Alright, but on one condition. Anything… That as soon as possible you will go into treatment. IF not, I will get someone right now to come see you. Alright.
Knock on door. It is Tomasina… She asks Guerito not to tell anyone about this. He says I always do as I promise, and I hope you will do same. … When Tomasina comes in and Guerito goes out, at her questioning, Nicky just runs in bathroom.
Cristina congratulates Lilli on getting a job… well, until she hears it is with LBP. Cristina is frozen, falls back on bed, ‘I wasn’t expecting that’. Lilli thinks it is great, a job near her dad so she can see him everyday. Lilli says LBP was very happy with her job. LBP even gave her a cell phone as a gift. Of course Cris takes it the wrong way and thinks LBP is trying to get Lilli on her side. Lilli asks her mother to get those ideas out of her head, I will be in that house all the time. Cristina says yeap you will see your dad daily, and also Guerito. Just be careful, your dad is not ready for the idea of watching you with boyfriend. Of course when Lilli leaves the room, Cristina lets out her irritation at the idea.
Tomasina waited for Nicky to get out of the bathroom. Tomasina insists on asking what is going on with Guerito. Reminds Nicky that he took a bullet for her. ‘SO you are also a vip member of the Gorillita fan club!’ Tomasina tells Nicky that AnyBalls wants her to go with him to the police station.
Back at the lake, Angel is looking for wood for fire, but can’t find any. At the no wood option, he asks for a hatchet to cut his own wood. But before leaving he asks her ‘will you miss me?’ He says’ don’t worry, I won’t be long.’ As he leaves her alone, she writes about his asking ‘will you miss me?’ and what he could have possibly meant by that question… But she can’t finish typing the thought in her book, the phone rings and it is Cristina calling to thank her for the gift for Lilli. Apparently the call got cut off… and idiot LBP is walking out at the pool area… (wasn’t she fearful of water?) … she is telling Cristina on phone that she is all alone, husband and daughter did not come, the one that came with me was Arriaga, your husband… deer in headlights look on Cristina).
IT doesn’t help that LBP tells Cristina that Angel went to get wood for the fire. After they hang up, Cristina works her mind with ‘they are all alone’.
Angel is walking up the hill, questioning that LBP could fear water…. At that moment a storm seems to be coming toward them. At the house, it is raining and thundering hard, LBP starts getting very concerned… Angel is cutting the wood in under a huge rainfall… (question, would wet wood be any good for fires?? LOL!)… He takes his belt off to carry the wood back to the house.
AnyBalls comes to the house to pick up Nicky. She is having doubts about going to the police station. He wants her to give him her version of the events on their way there. He also wants to call KenHo so she will also testify. Nicky says yes we have to get those thugs in jail so they won’t harm anyone else.
At the house, Lilli is with Polita and again she gets the sharp pain in her stomach which she says usually means something bad is happening to her dad… Polita gets fearful also about it… and of course, Angel slips and falls and rolls down the hill right into the raging river which is pretty choppy due to the heavy rain… Seems Angel is caught in a rock, and a thunder lights up a tree and the tree is about to fall right on him, he panicks and lifts his arm to protect his head, grunts loudly.

Por ella soy Eva #102 12/11/12: Blog Mom Does a Concert, Eats Brisket, Forgets It's Her Night to Blog. Talk Among Yourselves...
Yes, I had another concert of our new Hanukkah songs show last night and forgot to blog. Here is a rough translation of the highlights of the esmas recap and I hope y'all can fill in (and add the snark which is missing from the official sinopsis of capitulo 106).
Helena tells Plutarco nothing has happened to make her distant, but she can't believe he's one of those who believes a woman becomes a man's property when they marry.
Adriano, sad and desperate, begs Eva not to leave him. She says she's not the woman for him, but he says he'll die without her.
Onésimo blackmails Rebeca again, into sleeping with him: if she doesn't he will show proof of all she's done. She says he should be patient.
Jennifer hears her parents fighting and discovers them lying. She calls Daniel and says she'll to go Acapulco with him.
Juan Carlos makes a notebook of his investigations and wants to prove to Helena her project was robbed, so she'll trust him.
Eugenia is excited because she's gotten a tv series audition, but Claudia tries to make her feel insecure. Eugenia calls Juan and asks him to go with her.
Helena tells Adriano she has many doubts about whether Juan Carlos was the fraudster after what happened with Fernando.
Helena reads the report on the fraud and notices the fellow who accused Juan was Maximiliano Montes, she asks Vero to get the telephone number. Innocently, Vero asks: "Oh, Eva's sweetheart?" * We have a refrito of Big Angel hovering outside of Vicki's door and acting so busted when she sees him there, as well as Nelson trying to act like the devoted husband, but snoozing off like he always does. Vicki thinks that such happiness can't last. Later she has more intimate talk with her hubby about how things were crap for a while there. He's gonna try to make things better. She mentions to him that she was even wondering if he was interested in another woman (Nelson goes *gulp*). She says that she's not the kind of woman to tolerate cheating.
* Nelson wants to go away for the weekend somewhere with Vicki. It's not her favorite spot, but she'll go because he asked.

Por ella soy Eva #101 12/10/12: For You, I Braved the Christmas Ads!
Uh-oh - Adriano is desperate to see Eva, and confronts Mimi at his apartment, saying he will not leave the spot till Eva shows up. Fortunately, Helena manages to get him out (I forgot how), while warning an undisguised Juan to stay away from the exit. The stupid kid tells Helena, what, you didn't know Juan is Eva's cousin? Come on, we'll show you! And they go out to look for Juan who is now hiding (I'm not sure about this part.... I'm pretty tired). He is now hiding behind a car, telling Helena (on the phone) that, sure, I know Eva... I'm not in direct contact with her, but sure. Helena smiles and leaves. What?
Mimi is out with a desperate Adri, and she tells him "haven't you heard, if you love her, set her free. if she comes back, she's yours." He puts on a really funny face and says he'd never heard that before.
Helena's mom is miserable. I tune out for these segments.

Mimi says no, no, it's nothing like that - those are intimidades, the secrets of beautiful women.

Amor Bravío #80 (Uni 75) Fri 12/7/12 The Daniel Dilemma (Working Title)
~~ Here's a quick rundown of the important highlights done from memory. I'll try to fill in what's missing and/or correct whatever I've remembered incorrectly. I'm doped up on medication for an ear infection, having spent much of my Saturday dealing with that and drugstores. ~~

Ximena and Isadora exchange information. Xi says that she now knows Alonso's lied to all of them and has been lying to them all this time about the worthless power of attorney supposedly allowing her daddy to collect on the inheritance for DDA; a faked will naming Al as heir to the M.Q. if she dies and that the bull incident was Isadora's doing; and that she knows who Daniel really is: that the guy in the picture isn’t really Daniel Diaz Acosta; and the real DDA is actually the guy they've know as Andres Duarte! Isa is all “no puede ser” at this revelation. Xi says he has the same birthmark as she and her daddy have. She trades Isadora the 411 for why Alonso has gone nuclear over Mamadora: he’s learned about some deep dark secret that Isa and Salomon had kept from him. Isa ‘fesses up that Al’s daddy forced her to sign a document claiming Li’l Lonnie was her natural born son when he really wasn’t. Xi informs her that Al has also joined sides with DDA and Camila, so Isa admits that she and Dionisio have taken sides against Alonso. The two women agree not to tell another sould that they know Andres Duarte is really DDA.
Piedad finds Cam in the pasture on the way back from her ride and mentions that Pablo has moved out of the hacienda because he wants to marry Luzma.
Natalia is totally bummed with Yago’s Frosty The Snowman attitude towards her. She’is sitting there simply staring at her computer screen when snotty Brat Girl, Iliana, waltzes in and unloads a sh!tload of “I told you so” on her. Not what the doctor ordered, but lays it out plain as day for Nat. “Yago’s only a playboy who uses a girl and dumps her right after like a used, wadded up kleenex. He’s not like personable Pablo who will stand up for or fight for his love[er]. His parents won’t stand up for you either because you’re poor like Luzma. Better you break it off with him instead of the other way around.” Nat goes looking for Yago and tries to have a meaningful discussion. Bad idea #2 (#1 was agreeing to that bit of afternoon delight when they should have had the picnic lunch instead) Bad Idea #3 was bringing up perfect Pablo in this “discussion” cuz it only enrages jealous Yago. (Is there a coat of many colors from Yago in Pablo’s Christmas stocking?) He tells her he’ll never be like Pablo and if that’s what she expects then he’s calling it quits right there and then.
Isa tells Dio that Al has gone over to The Dark Side with Camila and DDA.
Cam runs into Mariano while thinking through her Daniel dilemma. She tells him that Andres turned out to be the real DDA and that she’d ended it with him. They discuss Yago’s fight with Rodolfo over Yago’s supposedly taking advantage of Nat. He also mentions that Pablo has left the hacienda and is looking for a job since he’s planning on getting married without his parents’ blessing. He thought his kid brother could work for the M.Q. as their new administrator in training. She agrees and is thrilled he has made his move for independence and to have him working with her at the hacienda.
Nat goes back over to La Malquerida and runs into Rodolfo along the way. She gives him Hell over starting a fight at La Buenaventura over her. She tells him to back off and to keep out of her way cuz she never wants to hear from or see him again! A bit later she finds Cami outside on the drive at the La Malquerida and asks to be allowed to work at the M.Q. again. Is it because of Yago? Yes, Nat sadly admits it is. Cam says she has her reasons why she cannot take her back there for now at the M.Q., but promises to see if they can arrange for her to work from an office in town again like when Don Daniel was alive. For now she’ll have to return to the Buenaventura. Nat sighs and resigns herself to the mental torture.
Francisco overhears Agustina give her sales pitch for retirement funds. Once the client’s gone he gets nosy about what her commission is for one of those sales. He says he has quite a few rich friends who might be interested. Gussie blows Frank off.
Dio attends another investors’ meeting and tells them he’s been in talks with DDA directly and when he eventually gets DDA to sign over the deed, he wants Alonso’s cut in addition to his own. They agree and vote to report Alonso to the authorities for failure to comply and to send him to prison over it.
At Vivi’s place, all four Musketeers have been discussing their next moves. They’re in a holding pattern till Teresa can get proof of Daniels identity, i.e., his birth certificate so he can present himself to the authorities and claim his inheritance. Dio shows up and gripes at D’Aaron and D’Andres for playing him like a fool. Rafa and Vivi leave to do errands. Dio complains that DDA’s allied himself with Alonso.
Vivi shows up at Cami’s place and warns her that Cami’s going to lose the love of her life if she doesn’t throw her foolish pride to the side. Cami eventually considers Vivi’s advice and prays to the diosito for more guidance.
D’Aaron wants to know how that got around since he’s had no direct discussions with Alonso. D’Andres says with all his spies watching them he’d certainly know that was true. So, who told him this? Dio informs them it wasn’t Alonso, and then lies that he hasn’t got anyone watching them anymore.
[Courtesy of ViviDC] ~~ Other stuff that happened:- The Scooby Gang convinces Aaron to stay in Aculco after Dan has revealed himself and to start a self-sustainable community, that will help people in need, like the one he started in Chiapas. Aaron looks like he might be convinced, since the Chiapas community is already up and running and doesn't really need him anymore. Vivi in particular was not ok with the idea of Aaron leaving for good.
-Piedad asks Cami if it's ok for her to leave for the north right now/today. Cami gives her blessing.
- Ana tells Nana Refugio about homeless boy Roman and asks her for her help and to keep quiet about it. Ana especially doesn't want to tell Snob Grandma Rocio, since she knows her attitude about poor people. Nana confirms that minors who don't have parents have to be under the guidance of some authority like an orphanage.
- Dan drowns his sorrows over Camila in tequila, and thinks he's cursed in the love department-- first Miriam, and now Cami. The other boys tell him not to lose hope.
- Frank asks Gussy how much she earns per client for the insurance scheme (scam), and from the look on her face it's obvious she's never been paid, and never thought about it before. Franks seems to sense it's a scam, and an opportunity to make cash off of his rich friends too.
- Already feeling like a clueless fool after her talk with Frank, Gussy flies off the handle to learn Cami gave Piedad leave and didn't tell her about it.
- Al gives Cami a copy of the tourism development contract he signed. He wants the two of them to meet with Dan about it, but she says she will be the go-between and will take it to Dan. Cami points out that the contract only has his signature and proves nothing about Dio or Isa. He begs for help so that he's not thrown in jail. He's already lost her, his jobm and now he might lose his freedom. Cami points out it's his own damn fault and that he's the only one who can help himself by bringing them proof. She tells him, "If you bring me and Dan real proof against Dio and Isa, then we might be able to help you. Without that, I don't see any other way to help you."

Amores Verdaderos #22 Fri 12/7/12 The Look Of Love Is In Your Eyes; I Wear My Sunglasses At Night
There is such a contrast between the bodyguards and Salsero, their "boss". While Guzmancito and the Angel wear their expressions openly, most of the time, Salsero has to wear his sunglasses even at night, to hide his expressions. The eyes are the window to the soul, so it is said, and he uses this device, especially when he is making, mis planes, or he doesn't want to be caught in a lie. He cannot mask his feelings with out them. Just an observation before I start this recap. Plus, they look way cool, no? He looks like a bad ass, jus' sayin'. Now on to the recap. We start this epi, in the deep, dark woods, in the dead of night and there is a rescue operation in progress, where Ms Vikki has thrown head henchie, his name is Espanto (scarecrow, as Marta mentioned on yesterday's comment, thanks Marta) the money bag, and the Angel has snuck behind Espanto and grabbed his slimy butt. Nikki has managed to get out of the car, by hitting Archie and the Angel is telling her to run like the wind, well not the wind, but to run. She runs straight to her Mama's arms. Now Archie, the other kidnapper is way pithed, aims his gun, and with a look of utter hatred on his face, aims and shoots the gun. I think he was aiming at Ms Vikki and Nikki, but it is very dark and hard to tell. Well Guzmancito sees this, yells no, and gets in the way of the shot. We have waited with bated breath in Viewerville, and now we have a bodyguard down, I say a bodyguard down! Espanto has grabbed the money and like Billy Joe and Bobby Sue, he took the money and run! Espanto starts the car and with Archie and a "screaming" Kendra in the backseat, they take off. The Angel, Ms Vikki and Nikki are trying to revive our downed bodyguard. He is not responding. They are begging him to respond. No movement at all. Well, the Angel, such a smart guy, opens our Guzmancito's jacket, and then finds a, wait for it, bullet proof vest of course! Guzmancito would never leave home with out one, jus' sayin'. Anyhoo, we in Viewerville can clearly see the bullet has struck the vest and lodged in it. The Angel thumps Guzmancito on the chest, and lo and behold we finally have a response. Ms Vikki is so happy, as is Nikki who was crying her eyes out, thinking he had died in the line of duty. He is a mite woozie from the force of the bullet, but the Angel pulls him up and gives him support, and he is fine. Ms Vikki and Nikki are so happy he is alive and they all go in the white SUV.

It is unpacking day at the new abode of Lalito and Helena. Pluti is helping and suddenly, Helena's phone rings, and it is, I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count. It is JC of course. He tells her he is at the Minstero Publico, they won't let him go cause he has no i.d. and could she please come down and help him out? On her end, Pluti is watching her and she pretends it's her Moms on the phone. The head cop at the desk is wondering why it is taking JC so long to talk on the phone, and JC asks for some privacy, and funny thing is they do give him privacy. He tells Helena he told the cops, his name is Juan Perez Contraras, and that they are married, and if she could just come down there, they'll let him go. Well on her end Pluti is telling Helena to say hi to Moms for him, and JC knows Pluti is there. Helena is telling "Moms" she just can't and now JC is beggin' her to please come down there, when there is a disconnect. Helena is verklempt!
At G.I. Rebe is trying to break into Pluti's office on her quest to derail him. She has a binder in her hand, and Renato catches her, red handed so to speak. He wants to know what she is up to, tryin' to get into Pluti's office. She says it is work related and shows him the binder, but he is not buying what she is selling and she ends up going, and Renato gets some text on his phone, and smiles and goes.

Weekend Discussion: Tony Bennett Duets on Univision
We had a discussion a few weeks ago about novela music and someone mentioned this CD, which is now available. At 9PM EST on Sunday there will be a music program with some of the songs from this CD. This is a reminder to all to watch or record it if you can.

Amor Bravío #79 (Uni 74) Thu 12/6/12 Amor Peligroso
Ximena keeps trying to drag info out of Alonso, but he's in the mood to talk about something else. "You know I love you. You helped me change my life. You're the only person who's accepted me as I am…I can't marry you." Oopsie! Alonso tells her that Camila told him that he had to clean up his mess before he married Ximena. Xime is pissed that Camila is screwing up her life. Wah! She threatens that Alonso better not leave her standing at the altar and gives him an ultimatum…it's the (wanna be) bride's way or the highway. Alonso says he won't leave till Daniel shows up and he can give him an accounting of everything.
Camila mourns Daniel's leaving.
Ximena sees "Andres" walking away and wonders QTH he's doing there, since he's supposed to have left Camila.
Amanda spent a sleepless night after Dio's visit. She wishes she'd listened to Padre Anselmo, but it's too late now. He disagrees. "He was very clear. If I open my mouth, Natalia's life is at risk." Anselmo doesn't think he has the balls. He tells Amanda to be strong and tell Natalia the truth already. "Like it or not, he's back in your life and if you don't tell her, he will. And he'll tell his version, which won't be good for you."

We begin with Rebeca bothering the Virgin yet once again. Boy, if HER prayers get answered then I'm a shoe-in.
At the pension, JC and Mimi are doing their Life is the Color of Roses dance. Eva's phone rings persistently while Mimi tries to get JC to respond. It's Adriano and Mimi feels for the love-sick puppy. Adri leaves a mushy text, to which JC scowls but Mimi answers while JC protests. Mimi sends Adriano besitos on Eva's behalf.
At home Kevin says something about the new girl, Claudia, at music school, and Fernando jumps all over it wanting to know if she's pretty. Fernando is playing at being a soccer star like he's still 12, while Marcela scowls about him not looking for work. It's Saturday he complains, but she tells him there are plenty of businesses open on Saturday. He calls her a woman of little faith. Just then Santiago
