Qué Bonito Amor #103 (Mex 141) Thursday 9/5/13 Que Preocupantes Desplomos
As he's being escorted back to his cell, another inmate playing Celia Cruz's "La Vida Es Un Carnaval" makes him recall better (?) times back at Ay Jalisco with Lalo and Pichi…pues, being Lalo and Pichi-esque.
With her fingers crossed behind her back, Elvira swears she had nothing to do with Maria losing her baby.
Mirna gets evicted.
Fernando gets slapped by Ana for kissing her…then he does it again and gets shoved…so he gives up and leaves before she can chuck a pillow at him.
Maria gives Elvira permission to come back to the bar until Concho recovers. But she still doesn't trust that immoral skank. She just wanted to see how far Elvira would go.
Santos got mail in prison from Maria, but he doesn't want to accept it. He borrows the guard's pen to write something on the envelope and tells him to send it back. He actually had a pencil in his pocket, which he now proposes to use to draw Maria's face.

CI Cap. 83, 9/5/13 The Suspense Is Unbearable. Will Octavio Survive?
Octavio is stretched out in the plowed corn field—umm, let’s make that the desolate reaches of the uninhabited island where the plane crashed. He can’t feel his leg anymore and he’s sure this will be his grave. (You won’t need a grave, guapo, ‘cuz the animals are going to eat you.)
Lucia calls the doc to confirm MiniMigi’s surgery arrangements. He should be there by 8 am for tests before the operation. (We could compare this to actual pre-surgery protocols, but we won’t take the time since we have a search and rescue operation underway.)

Qué Bonito Amor #102 (Mex 140) Wednesday 9/4/13 We were just looking at buildings for fun. That's what prisoners do.
Hola everyone! It appears I will be subbing again! This is a last minute thing, so keep your expectations low!
SCENES ARE CONDENSED AND NOT ALWAYS IN ORDER. PLEASE READ COMMENTS FOR OTHER RELEVANT DETAILS THAT I'LL PROBABLY MISS!
We have a refrito of yesterday, starting with the college teacher trying to convince Maria to get her degree pronto with sweetheart workshop/test deal (two weeks and she's got her diploma). Maria wants to blow it off to see JAntos; Wendy and her mom try to talk her out of it. JAntos and Michael meet up with a forgetful old prisoner geezer who is undoubtedly Fernando's dad, and JAntos and Michael are busted in the warden's office while looking for the prison blueprints online. (Don't even get me started on this.)
Amalia is having pains in her shoulder due to her illness. Wendy wants Amalia to tell Maria; Amalia doesn't want to worry Maria at this time. She asks Wendy to keep it a secret.

PEAM, Tuesday 9/3/13 (#126): Day of the Bucket
Rewind: Rogue calls Pancho, Pancho Lopez to brag about Avon's victory over Orion in the Big Concurso (just in case Pancho hadn't heard... or watched it on TV). Rogue takes full credit. When Pancho asks about Alma, Rogue says sure, she helped a little - but that's what he hired her for.
Xochi has a meltdown over Discua's infomercial and feels that she must marry Fernando immediately. Jessica hasn't cancelled her wedding reservations yet, so Xochi can get married that day instead!
Rai gives Valentina a bottle of heat-activated ink.
Upset that his newfound daddy is sending him to school in LA for free, Melquiades picks a fight with Chucho outside. (The immediate vicinity is suspiciously vacant.) Chucho drops his crutches and jabs at Melkie's face. This easy love-tap knocks Melkie to the ground with a nosebleed. Melkie runs away but forgets his jacket. Chucho passes the jacket to him on the tip of a crutch.

Qué Bonito Amor #101 (Mex 139) Tuesday 9/3/13 Say, you look familiar, and a new Godfather is in town
Hola everyone. I'm filling in tonight!
EVENTS MAY BE CONDENSED AND NOT LISTED IN STRICT ORDER, TO SAVE MY SANITY.
JAntos talks to the moon through the bars of his cell and says how it's been his and Maria's "accomplice" and wants the moon (???) to assist Maria in living her life happily "for the both of them," since his life is over and everything's turned to crap. But, he tells the moon, even though his life is crap, he will never stop loving Maria.
![]() |
Talkin' to the moon while in prison. What else would a guy do? |
Meanwhile, Maria is mooning over JAntos (heh—see what I did there?) and Wendy comes over to apologize for being such a bitch, mentions that JAntos is such a sweet guy that he's forgiven her even though she turned her back on him, yadda yadda. Maria is very warm to her. She tells Wendy that even though she didn't get her travel visa that she'll find a way to see JAntos.
The Godfather got Orange Guiliano out of prison by lies and fake alibis and whatever, and Guilano is on his knees, grateful for it all. But the Godfather doesn't want to hear it, he wants to bump off Guiliano who has proven to be useless! He pulls out a gun . . . Uh oh!
Meanwhile, Derecho is pissed that the Godfather got Guiliano out, and is starting to suspect that Justo is right, and the Godfather is behind all of this. He and Curtis will pay the Godfather a visit.
Back with Orangie and the Godfather, they struggle for the gun and it goes off!
JAntos and Michael are talking about Wendy's baby and JAntos is grateful for Michael being willing to take on Wendy's kid. Darren (blue-eyed earring guy) comes in and informs them that Orangie got out of prison. Major impactado!
The Godfather is dead, long live the Godfather! Orangie takes the old Godfather's hat and puts it on, and looks insane as he proclaims that he's the Godfather now. And he vows to get JAntos! Crazy dude doing all of this while the old Godfather is assuming room temperature on the floor.

Let's hope that the old Godfather didn't have any head lice. On second thought, let's hope he did . . . |

Porque el Amor Manda #124: Happy Feet, Cross-Eyes and Sticky Fingers
Maricela shows up looking like the Sundance Kid's naughty dream, but Rico won't dance with her. Yvonne's clearly been using the Discuamatic. I think it's time to lend it to Don Gil for a while. Peppy music, gloopy food porn, accordion product placement, etc.

La Tempestad #25- 8/30/13: Aba Daba Honeymooooon!
Ahoy, La Tempestad Maties, and A Happy Labor Day to Y'all! Hope you are enjoying the last days of summer. We have moved to the pier again because so much is going on, on the water this epi. This recap will not be in order, so please enjoy your Tequila Sunrises, put the spyglass to your eye so we can see what is what with His Deliciousness (DamFab) and his lovely wife, er, his Pesering Wifey Pooh on that sailboat.
The Rehash:
Commandante with Jaz and she is scared. He wants to know about others in organization, like who is the leader, and that he knows she is really Lu and not Jaz. She only knows about Nereo and noone else. He'll go so as not to get her in trouble, they'll meet again to talk some more.
DamDelicious has returned to port as the Harbor Master has called him back in for something urgent. Ester stays on the boat. She isn't happy. She wants him to hurry. She thinks everything is going er, swimmingly.
Herny at the pool thinking about how he'll get rid of DamDelicious during his honeymoon, he is now a partner in bidness with Marina in which she will be close to him. Herny's womens have arrived. They work hard for the money, so hard for it honey, er, well you know. They are in his room changing. They now come out to the pool, group kissing ensues, I'll leave it at that.
DamDelicious goes to the Harbor Master to see what is up and of course encounters Marina. She called him back to tell him she'll fight for her love, she'll prove she ain't no coward. It's getting warm ladies and gentlemen. Now it's getting warmer with that nice bear hug he gives Marina, sigh! Besos now ensue. He'll think about her the whole trip and she'll be waiting for him to come back.
Ester is getting impatient on the sailboat. Her DamDelicious hubby should have been back by now!
DamFabilicious has Marina in his manly muscular arms and she tells him about hearing his Madrina and how the voice told her to get Damilicious to come back. He says he saw his Madrina and mentions it was like a warning of danger. The only danger is a trip with PesterEster. He doesn't think there is any danger. Marina wants him to be careful. Everything is fine and dandy, hush your mouth Capitancito! It's like putting the devil on the wall. Old German expression, my dearly departed Mama used to say this all the time. It's like saying, Don't say it cause it may happen! Now DamDelicious has Marina encircled in those manly arms of his, pulls her close and ravishes her with kisses. Ester comes upon them and is pithed. She doesn't confront them though, she feels humilated and thinks how long will this slut of a woman be chasing her DamDelicious hubby. but she will not be separated from her DamDelicious hunk of a manly man on her honeymoon. Yeah, keep dreaming Estercita! She stalks off.
The New Hash:
Ain't Misbehavin'
Damdelicious and Marina are still out in front of the Harbor Master's office still sucking face in front of the whole town. Just imagine if Fully or Herny had come by! What about Bea, the scandal! Anyhoo, it's time to say bye for now. Fabilicious tells Marina she is the only woman he will eva love, to remember that, but he's gotta go with the PesterEster. She knows she will think about him all that time and he asks her to wait for him. They ti amo each other and many besos and he reluctantly walks away. The theme song plays.

Corazón Indomable Fri August 30 There Will Be Mud
I have a feeling the actual mud eating will be drawn out tonight and we won't actually see it until Friday...LoriLoo
Maybe you'll even get the wedding tonight...Vivi
there looks like a high risk pregnancy on its way to delivery tonight as well... Carlos
And so it was...
As the time for tonight's episode draws near some of our more rabid mudthirsty Carayistas are already assuming their places. We immediately spot the placid Madame Judy deFarge already rocking in front of her flickering vintage black and white Philco impassively tending her knitting. Gringo Robespierre is nervously glancing at his watch and muttering to himself about some goddess, mud eating, and sweet revenge. Let's tune into the show...
Ester is lying on the ground just outside the embarrassment of a hovel that José Antonio has constructed for them to live in. Her new BFF Clorinda announces that she has brought dessert but seeing her neighbor sprawled out unconscious on the earth she rushes to her side shouting,
"¡Ay, Jesús Cristo!"
and tries to rouse her.

She Must Have Added Too Much Onion To Those Beans |
I'm guessing those delicious rice and beans with onion, salt, and the little microscopic river creatures will be put on hold for the moment. Heck, one of my favorite things about these TNs is the delicious food.
Suddenly we are transported to Isla Dorada, Ester will simply have to wait for now.
Lucía is impeccably dressed in a stunning blue gown as she climbs up a slight incline followed by casino employees, Maricruz, Octavio, Miguel, Doris and other invited guests. She stops short and gasps as it dawns on her what Maricruz has planned for her. She wasn't expecting a bed of roses, but irony of ironies that is exactly what she is confronted with. However this rose bed has been altered slightly and she finds herself gazing into the gaping maw of a freshly prepared mud pit. We are treated to sepia flashbacks to an earlier time and an earlier mud pit... a fango lined with cacti. It suddenly occurs to her,
"I should have dressed more casually for this."

I Should Have Worn An Old Dress |
Yep, a fango and here she is dressed more appropriately for tango.
