Mi Corazon Es Tuyo, # 33 03 Sep 2014 Diego gets the truth... Ximena gets a hug... IsaBruja gets a wedding gown and a nanny voo doo doll

Repeat of Fernando with his guilts, and Ana running after Diego; Diego angry as heck, but Ana convinces him to stay; Bruno’s rule ‘to live good, you better be quiet after seeing and listening… I am here for you, go ahead and let it go, open your heart’;

Fer: we have so much hidden anger, so many years, so many memories gathered since we were kids… and that which you know about, ended splitting us for good… of course I love my brother, it is not easy to admit that he has been away so long for my fault… you know Diego was always a free spirit, something neither my dad or I could understand.. (Bruno asks if they can accept him as he is now)

Diego tells Ana his story… since kids I was always compared to Fer… my dad was not like he is now.. he was strict, stubborn, very tough on me… Fer was always the boy scout, the one with perfect grades, my parents pride and joy… I was the rebel, the one that got suspended in school frequently, and when my mom died… my Don Nic Lasc found refuge in working… (Ana: and the story repeats itself, no?).. that is right… Fer took care of educating me and caring for me… but always scrutinizing me (senalandome).. I know he was doing it for my wellbeing, but I always felt belittled… until one day… I think the happiest day of my life… the most beautiful girl in the world… noticed me.. she noticed the imperfect one… she became my girlfriend… (where is she, Diego??) … she is in heaven, Ana… that woman…. Was Fanny, my brother’s wife… (no wonder you two had been separated for so long… and you said he took what you loved most?) Yes, and although relationships are for just two people… she chose him. My brother, Fernando, ended up the winner, as always. (Ana can’t believe Fer ‘took’ Diego’s girl).. Fanny was more than that, Ana.. She was the love of my life.

Fer continues his heart spill to Bruno…

Fer: I tried… I fought to rip that love from my heart… you know how much… but I couldn’t.

Dieg: I have never loved anyone like I loved her.

Bru: Estefania married you and gave you seven wonderful kids.

Fer: Yes, and… we destroyed Diego’s life.

Ana: Then Mrs Fanny…

Dieg: I made her a promise.

Lo Nuevo:

Ana thanks Diego for his honesty. He wants their relationship to begin with the truth. She has a double take… ‘our relationship?’ Diego insists that she should do the same and spill her soul to him. He would like to know what happened between her and Fer. She repeats, it was just a couple kiss and the typical story of the employee who falls for the boss… nothing really happened.

Nico arrives, and both Ana and Diego notice he is not well. He admits he needs them and tells them Jennifer broke up with him. He tells them Jennifer met another younger guy… Ana slips ‘that is not true’ but then backtracks her… The truth is Jennifer does care a whole lot about you. Diego agrees. Nico wonders what he will do without her.

Fanny runs into Ana in the drive and informs her that DonFernando and Isabela’s wedding will be in three weeks.  Ana re-enters the house and heads upstairs suffering a mild meltdown.

Inside, a bit later, Fanny finds Tío Diego and Abuelo Nico looking at the basket of goodies that Isabellow’s naca mama, Yolanda, had sent over and has a belly laugh and a half.  Nico admits to Diego that he's worried about his girlfriend--but that it's got nothing to do with his....um...virility.

Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #12 20140902 Twenty Women Compete for a Kiss from a Troll...I Didn't Know that this is a Science Fiction Novela

Chava and his mother are discussing Paco’s bad attitude.  Chava defends Paco and says that he may have reasons for his disposition that they are not aware of.  Chava tells his mother that he wants to settle down and be faithful to one woman.  They are interrupted when he gets a phone call from Ceci.

Sophia lies on the couch with her head in Patricks’s lap (I am going to move past this sentence quickly cuz’ there are so many places that a mind can wander with it).  Patrick rubs her head.  Anyways, Sophia speaks of the red Book of Secrets that is kept in the company safe.  Each year, Maestro transferred all of his recipes to it and burned the previous year’s book.  Patrick says that Ripoll owes the company’s success to that book.  Immediately after Sophia drifts off into a drug induced sleep, Patrick gets down to work by plucking some of her hair out by the root and places it in a baggie.  With this hair, I will soon have evidence that your mother was a tramp, says Patrick to himself.

La Gata #2 Tuesday 9/2/14: La Pista Falsa

Right to the new!
Mariano (Pablo's brother) is going to the movies and he tells (not asks) mom to give him money. She's loaded! Mom says she's not made of money. He wouldn't have to beg for money for taxis if his mom would let his dad get him a car. The house has a chofer. "Yeah", the little twerp says "but he's always busy with the blind one or my brother." (Dude, that's your sister!) Little girl does't put up with crap. She'd rather be blind than a bad person like him. Go, girl!!  Mariano wheedles--don't be coda (cheap), mom! He's got promises to keep. He asked this girl to the movies ....mil pesos should be enough. Mom comments that he's too young for cars and dates. She knows the movies don't cost that much. He wants to get the girl some ice cream, too. Mom mutters about her kids, one is  spendthrift, one is caritativa (charitable) the other thinks he's St. Francis of Assisi. Next thing she knows he'll be filling the house with the gentuza (riff raff.)

Pablo calls Esmeralda a deer (gamo) because she slides so fast, but he has to explain the word. She kind of takes offense. He asks what he did and why she's mad. She tells him about his mom and how she treated her. Esmeralda explains that mom threatened to kick her off the property by force. Pablo is a little incredulous, but he agrees his mom was probably rude. Esme thinks his mom is a vieja estirada (stuck up old broad.....from last night's vocabulary.) Esmeralda tells Pablo his mother acts like poor people don't have the right to walk on the same ground she walks on. Pablo thinks Esme shouldn't think poorly of his mom. She's not that bad. Apparently he's the one who's blind. He doesn't think it's fair that Esme is mad at him for what his mother did. He says something about Rita. Esme thinks that's different because Rita is not her real mother. Esme doesn't have a mom, but she'd rather be alone than have a mom like his.

Hasta el Fin Del Mundo #11 9/1/14 Lies, Spies and Treachery

Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend! The show is starting to heat up. Before we get started I have something just for Mads:

I found Pato's cat.

Let's get to it!

Lupe' cries over a photo of her and Javier the Dirtbag in happier days. Chava sees her tears and tells her to think of Javier as if he were dead.
"But he's not dead."
Chava realizes the truth, "So it's Javier that you've been seeing!"

Pato is on the phone with the DNA doctor. Peralta's right hand man, Renzi, comes into the restaurant. He listens in on the end of Pato's call.
"Yes, I can get samples. I'll bring them in tomorrow."
Pato ends the call and they bear hug. "Did you bring what I asked for?"
Renzi pulls a gadget from his inside pocket. "No door is closed to me."
Pato says it's time to go and heads out the door. Before Renzi leaves he picks up Pato's cup and finishes his coffee. I'm really surprised he didn't pocket the leftover pastries too. Just down the sidewalk Silvana watches them from behind a signboard. They get into a gray car. Silvana hails a cab and tells the driver to follow them.

La Malquerida, #6. 09/01/14.

Ulisses gets ready for his outing and Acacia drives up. He tries to kiss her hello but she pushes him away. She says she will never go anywhere with him now that she found out he wants to destroy the town park. I assure you that I will be the first to protest this. I don't know how much money you think you will gain, but realize that your project will never happen. Have you seen my plans asks Ulisses. No, and I'm not interested in anything that you have to say replies Acacia. I hate people who lie. Ulisses tells her to first take a look at his plans before throwing accusations.

Esteban gets onto Cris for allowing Acacia to see Ulisses.

Ulisses explains his green project to Acacia who quickly asks him to forgive her. She can't believe she caused all that drama and lost her chance with him. He comments on how beautiful she is when she's mad.

La Gata #1 - Mon 9/1 - La Introducción

We start out with some shots to establish the difference between our two protagonists and their worlds.  Young Esmeralda drives her cart through La Barranca (The Canyon), then hangs out with some other kids, "sledding" down a hill on cardboard.  Her shoelaces are pink, so you know she's spunky.  Meanwhile, rich kid Pablo watches and wishes he could go hang out with the La Barranca kids.  He's all dressed up in a suit with a plaid jacket and his room is decorated with soccer cutouts.  His mom gives him a blessing before having the chauffeur drive him and possibly his brother to school.  On the way, Pablo gets another look at Esmeralda, who's busy hauling around a black cat and fighting with a kid in the park for daring to call her "gatita" (little cat).  Pablo is totally smitten with Esmeralda.  It's probably the pink shoelaces.  As his car drives off, Esmeralda has a conversation with the kid about wanting to catch a bird so it can sing.  Her cat is named "Principe" (prince).

Her caregiver…and I mean that in only the most minimal sense…is Doña Rita, who's currently thrilled that some Italian guy finally let her read his cards, so she's scored some cash and a sammich.  She has no intentions of sharing either.  Not with La Gata and not with Centavito (little cent…I don't think we've met him yet).  She says the pair of "vagonetas" (wagons) will need to bring in some cash in the afternoon so she and Inesita (no clue who that is yet) will have something to eat.

Capitulo 31: I Got It Bad and That Ain't Good

Lascuráin Mansion: In the library, Ana and Fernando had it out over her attitude at the engagement party. She reasonably asked him how he could expect her to feel after raising her hopes only to dash them and throw her in the garbage because he's marrying Zerobela. [Not to mention having to watch him propose to her. What Edith Wharton would have made of this...] This caught his attention and he started to apologize, but she stopped him. She continued to address him with formality. She had begun to cry but wiped away the tears, saying that work is work and other things are another matter. She said she is staying because she loves his children. “They need me and I need the work so you won't have any more problems with me.” She started to leave but he pulled her back and tried to explain his feelings. She wasn't interested. “We have to accept that you are marrying Isabela and having a baby with her. That's that.”

Master Disaster Engagement Dinner—Or Troth and Consequences

Master Disaster Engagement Dinner—Or Troth and Consequences

CAP 30

The guests breathlessly await Don Fernando’s proposal to Isa-bunintheoven-bela.  It’s as if nobody that’s anybody there can honestly believe he’s going through with this numskull and muy but muy passé, aka archaic, idea of marrying the woman simply because she was dumb/careless/naive enough not to use birth control.   (Yes, I do marvel at a 21st century Super Brainiac Bidnezwoman in her thirties, with x-number of advanced degrees, not using birth control of some sort--especially when purposely seducing a handsome, successful bidnezman--if not to trap the sorry SOB into marriage.  Duh, Telerisa!)  Anyway, reluctantly DonFerd does his duty.  Bela blares out a repetitiously resounding “¡Sí,sí,sí!” to everyone’s dismay.   (ITA with Yo mama Yolanda—“Enough already!  We heard ya the first set of Sí’s!)

De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero #167, El Gran Final 8/29/2014

De que tenemos un final feliz, un final feliz

Once again we all must thanks Kat for taking this tn on all by herself.  Without her enthusiasm, I might have let this one past by.  And though we’ve had some downs lately with the plot, the beauty of this blog is the community that Jane has created.  It is so much fun to virtually watch tns with others and laugh, scream, and mock (Ferro explains in the banner and informs new bloggers about our antics because our mocking can be misunderstood as hate) the craziness that is in most telenovelas.  And we learn some Spanish too.  Thank you for your kind words and encouragement as a recapper because the talent we have here is extraordinary, one can get very intimated.  Kat, Sara, and Vivi are some the best of the best and I have been honored to share time with them and you.  And now, the final episode...

Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #9: 8/28/14: The Curious Case of Paco and the Mysterious Woman

Hola Amiguis. If Pato thinks he can ever be a detective, he's sadly mistaken. Pato couldn't get water out of a wet sponge. Here is an earworm for you while you read this recap. Watching The Detectives Shall we begin:

Everyone is at the Maestro's wake. Alexa is also there. Later, sitting next to her Mama, Sofia agrees that Alexa is fragile. Pato comes next and plops himself down next to Greta and Sofia. He starts with innuendo with Greta. Using pointedly simpering things like secret lovers, etc. and Greta gets uncomfortable and goes out for air. Pato thinks to himself he wants Greta to confess.

Pato thinks he is Hercule Poirot

Chava talks to Cuco, and Cuco wants to know since Chava has quit the racing, instead of continuing to do this chofer's job, why doesn't he do Mariachi, like his Papa Javier? Chava is really good. Chava gets irate, never, ever will he be like his Papa, a pox on the man!

Posting of Tuesday's Mi Corazón Es Tuyo# 27 by Julia and Jarifa

[Thanks to both Julia and Jarifa whose memories were near perfect in their assist to Eli!]

Isabitch got Fer to reluctantly agree to have their engagement party the next day and to give her a credit card for expenses.

Isa went to the house to try to suck up to the kids. Guille and Alex attacked her with water guns, making the non-colorfast dye from her blue blouse run all down her white pants.

Up in the playroom, Alicia, Sebas, and Luz made a drawing of a witch and put it on the dart board. It was obvious to anyone but Isa that the witch represented her, but she insisted on joining in throwing darts at it, which cracked them up.

Then Isa tried to drop in on Nando, but he was busy having a big smoochfest with Ximena in his bedroom so she let them be. I don't think Nando ever got yelled at for having his novia in his bedroom! Maybe Fer didn't know about it.

Isa spent a lot of time being snarky and rude to Ana in a thin veneer of politeness, Ana was ostentatiously overpolite back, and Isa babytalks to everyone, including Nic and Fer.

Ana had a little meltdown and cried on Fanny's shoulder. Fanny agreed to stay and not leave Ana and the kids alone with the witch.

Fanny's horrid ex-boyfriend overheard Laura and Ximena talking about how Fanny's in love with the quesadilla woman's son, and he attacked Leon when he came to the school to see Fanny.

Johnny came to the house dressed as an exterminator and visited with Manuela and claimed to Manuela that he and Ana are siblings (she wondered how they know each other). Manuela told him that the patron is marrying the tarantula, which of course makes him think Ana is available to him again. He and Ana got in a fight in the driveway and Fer arrived just in time for the rescue.

Fer took Nando with him to buy an engagement ring. The clerk had weirdly yellow hair. Nando told Fer all about his relationship with Ximena and he thinks he's in love.
Recapped part by Blogger Julia
=====================

Some points from last night:

After giving Ana the book , Isabela makes a comment about them being able to get along in a civilized manner for the good of Alejandro and the kids. As soon as she leaves the house, Isabela is calling her "la nanaca". In a later meeting with Ana, Isabela calls Ana on her dry skin, poorly conditioned hair and dark circles under her eyes and then askis if she hasn't been sleeping well. Ana says she has been having some nightmares about a really creepy crawly thing and Isabela tells her that disappointments in love cause insomnia and that the book she gave her can help her forget it and let go of the impossible. Finally she suggest a corrector for her dark circles, but then says that she realizes Ana does not have the ability to get fine cosmetics but is sure if she goes to her local store she can find a knock-off. And so it goes.

Nando ends up forgiving Ximena and so he finally has a girl friend and Fernando approves.

Jennifer is all upset and Nico does not know why. She leaves him at lunch without a word about what is wrong. Nico is desperate he does not know what is going on.

Isabela convinces Fernando she needs an engagement party like tomorrow. She will arrange it all. She needs a credit card in her name and also the most important of all: an engagement ring. Yolanda is all excited about the monetary prospects and actually claps her little hands.

Isabela tries to make peace with Fanny for the good of her dad and siblings. She actually clenches her fist when Fanny does not give her a positive reaction.

Next stop for Isabela is with the rest of the kids where Isabela tries to broker a peace and ends up getting shot with water guns full of some sort of blue liquid that stains her white outfit and joioms the kids yelling "Muera!" "Die!" at a picture of a witch not realizing they mean her. The twins later apologize about the water guns with their fingers crossed.

Next stop for Isabela is with Alicia, where of course Isabela calls attention to her zits.
Mi Corazón Es Tuyo# 27

Isabela's rage after each failed attempt is apparent.

At the end, Fernando takes Nando with him to get the ring. Turns out that even though Fernando has lost contact with his bro Diego, Nando has been facetiming. with him and knows all about what he has been up to and him coming to the wedding. Fernando makes the comment that his bro still has not forgiven him. Nando asks him whatever happened between them that they don't talk. We never hear an answer.

Earlier, Johnny shows up as an exterminator and tells Manuela that Ana is his sister. Manuela is all over him.Fernando is not with a guy like Johnny being around his house and tells Ana he does not want to see him in his house again.

Also earlier, Ana confides in Fanny what is going on and how much she loves her dad and how desperate she is. Ana gets a call from her boss at Chicago that he needs her to dance tonight and when she hesitates he reminds her of her debt.

Mi corazon es tuyo, Capitulo 29*, Thursday – 08/28/2014 - Sushi and champagne make for a great expecting mother

(*I think that somewhere along the lines we made a mistake while adding up the episodes, because this is now episode 29 and yesterday should have been 28)

Back to last night’s ending: Nico asks Ana to speak to Jennifer, since they did meet at the hospital, after all. Maybe they can become friends and Ana can convince Jen to come to the party. Ana agrees to help and gives Don Nico a hug, just as Diego walks in. He tries to insinuate that there is something going on between the two, but Ana is quick to set things straight. Diego doesn’t fight it, he knows that Ana has something going on with Fer, not with his father. Again, Ana denies everything, although Nico does mumble that something did happen between them in the past. Ana has had it with both of them, though, so she leaves, after asking Don Nico to keep mum. Which will be very hard, since Diego wants to know the whole truth.
Viewerville observes how Diego might now get the chance to do onto others what others have done onto him – to want thy brother’s woman must be a Lascurain habit.

De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero #166, 8/28/2014

De Que Ellas Son Rehenes, Son Rehenes o De Que No Hay Pila, No Hay Pila

All, it’s been my great pleasure recapping for you all. I’m glad Kat started us on this road. For the most part, it has been delightful. I especially want to thank my fellow recappers, and this fantastic group of commenters! Now, on to the recap!

Rod has taken both Natalia and Brigitte as his hostages (rehenes) at gunpoint, and left El and his team unarmed and handcuffed to the stair railings. He’s ordered that a squad car be left running for him. He smacks Nat unconscious in the back seat, and orders Brigitte to sit next to him in the front. Brigitte begs him to let HER go, and to think of their child. He tells her he couldn’t care less (me importa un comino) about her and the baby. Plus, she betrayed him! She swears she didn’t betray him. He doesn’t believe it

Nat wakes up, assesses the situation, and decides to play hero(ine). She puts a choke hold on Rod, causing him to swerve and then stop the car. He breaks free of her hold and threatens to pistol whip her again. He orders them both to the floor of the back seat, and threatens to shoot them if they cause any more trouble. They both cower on the floor, and Nat cradles Brigitte protectively. Nat finds her cell phone and stealthily makes a call.

El and his team are free and El calls Captain Vermudez. The captain is NOT pleased and won’t even allow El to go inform Carmen in person that her two daughters have been taken hostage by a lunatic. El goes anyway, and breaks the terrible news to Carmen with a hug, while Mushroom listens sadly. Carmen is inconsolable and demands that El return her daughters to her!

Hola Amiguis. Finally we have a leap in time! We are still in the past for the first little bit, but it gets better. I Keep Holding On  here is a little ear worm for Y'all.

Shall we begin?

We left off yesterday with Esteban declaring his love for Cris and he'd like to marry her. Cris wants to marry him, but wants Acacia to accept him. For now it is enough for him to be close to Cris and Cris doesn't have to promise him anything.

Esteban attempts to get Acacia to go to work with him. Of course, she doesn't want to go with him. Cris says she'll talk to her, but Esteban tells Cris to let her be, she's a child and he goes off to work.

De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero #165 - Wed 8/27

De que casi todos tomaron malas decisiones, tomaron malas decisiones!

In the lawyer's office, Diego explains to Nat that he's owed her the divorce for a while and hands her the papers.  I believe cake is also customary…no?

Eleazar downs a glass of champagne in an effort to exorcise the ghosts of Carmen's past enamorados.  Carmen declares she's alllll his and after some steamy smooches, retreats to the bathroom to get…ahem…more comfortable.  Unfortunately, El is still having auditory hallucinations of the exes in question and starts checking the room for them.  Carmen, in a gorgeous purple negligee set gets El back on track.  They fall to the bed and I seriously hope the audible commentary from Los Ex playing in the background while the animated hearts float by was only for us and not playing in El's head.

The lawyer explains that since they were both in agreement to divorce in the first place, all they have to do is sign.  Natalia refuses to sign and walks out.  Hey, now, I'm SURE there's a mandatory declaration of "No te voy a dar el divorcio!" (I'm not going to give you a divorce) that's supposed to go with that.

Mi corazon es tuyo, #28, 27 Aug 2014... Diego is home!! and instantly gets smitten by Ana... Fanny and Leon have their heavenly hash and Leon gets a sour after taste...

Fer and Nando in the car…

“When you are really really in love, you have no control… and besides that, you give it all… all.”

Ana finds out tomorrow will be the engagement party.

Lo Nuevo…

Ana in the kids room with homework…

Ana sees the drawing of the witch at the kids room… Seba tells Ana Isa even shot (or pushed) darts at her own drawing. They found it funny, Ana not so much. Ana will help them all with homework but first we have to talk. Tomorrow your dad will ask for Isa’s hand… She explains that Fer has to ask permission to Isa’s mom to marry Isa. What about if she does not give permission? That won’t happen… Alicia says she will stay in her room… Ana says you all have to be there, be well dressed and be well behaved. The twins suggest painting Isa… Ana says no pranks allowed.

Isa and MIL at the store with the urge to shop and spend…

Isa and her mom have been shopping for their dresses for the party… first is first and second is second… Isa mocks her mother’s logic. MIL asks the saleslady if they don’t have something more revealing, more provocative. MIL wonders what the engagement ring will look like.

Fer in the library with the engagement ring…

Ana comes in Fer’s library, he is holding the engagement ring. He puts it away. He wanted to talk to her. Fer wanted to tell Ana about tomorrow… already know… it shows you can’t hold any secrets here. Fer asks Ana to talk to the kids about the engagement party… Ana says already did with the small ones. Ana asks permission for her to go out for a while, he asks where… she just responds its personal, I will leave the kids eaten and in bed… what if I had a problem with it? … I would still go… (she leaves, he repeats to himself… ‘something personal’.)

Two filthy jerks in the Chicago office with the debt
Teofilo is arguing with Johnny, its good but it could go better… Johnny wants his money back… Teo is ok but will talk to his accountant before giving his money back… But warns Johnny he will deduct what Johnny owes him.

Ana is on the stage and Jenny has another pain… Ana is done… Johnny comes out and tells Jenny he is the loser… (Univ cut out what Jenny told him…)

Ana in the driveway with the tree branch…

Ana arrives at the house in taxi… runs into Diego who just arrived in his motorcycle… She does not know who that is so she grabs a tree branch and tries to hit him on the head… he blocks her swing… They stare at each other… (until end of beginning credits after comm…. So they had to freeze for quite a while).
Ana mistakes Diego for a burglar… he says he has been called many things, usually handsome, charming… but never a burglar… she threatens she will put him in jail… been there, done that too. But never for burglary… She asks if he is mocking her. He says he is only avoiding getting his head busted open. After some more back and forth insulting and calling names, he is trying to introduce himself ‘my name is Diego… what’s yours?... is it perhaps Isabella?’ Ana takes even more offense in that. He wants a hint so she tells him three letters… beginning with A… he guesses Ana. … Well, glad to meet you, I am Diego Lascurain’. Ana is shocked, takes his helmet off to take a better look… sighs… then she reacts and changes attitude to ‘servant’… even tries to help him roll his bike in…

Mi corazon es tuyo Tuesday 08/26/14 Time Warner blows

Please feel free to discuss the episode, I got a text from my sister yesterday saying that our cable and internet were not working, I've had issues with TWC in the last few weeks-after I asked them for a lower rate. Well, I get home last night and call them, it seems that the rep I spoke with a few weeks ago was able to lower my rate-by cancelling my DVR service and my internet and making my account a basic one.

After arguing with customer service last night I finally gave up and have to call them again this morning. My apologies for all this, I had no way of watching the episode and am beyond angry that not only was I unable to get a recap up but that a company I've worked with for years basically called me a liar and said the conversation I had with their rep did not happen the way I represented it. This blows.

La Malquerida #2: 8/26/14: The Fight is On To Save the Hacienda. Love is in the Air

Hola Amiguis! Tonight I'm doing a shorter recap. I had trouble with this one because of the whiplash scene changes and rapid fire speech. I think I got most it it. I've got another earworm Where Does My Heart Beat Now?

Shall we begin?

We left off last night with Esteban asking Cristina not to sell the Hacienda. He loves these lands and will do everything he can to help her save this Hacienda.

Juliana and her son her in his room, and I have to say this son has a talent. He's painted some beautiful Irises I think. Norberto storms in and isn't having it. He feels this is effeminate of this son, and takes a knife and destroys the picture. Juliana tries to stop him to no avail. He tells his son, be a man and go work the land. He goes.

Hasta El Fin del Mundo #7 20140826 Fashion Advice from a Guy Wearing a Mullet...Really?

Ripoll:  While Sofie sits in her chair, Patrick rubs her shoulders and gives her a little smooch on the cheek.  Instantaneously, she runs away as if he’s got the cooties.  Later, she arrives in the chef’s office and tells him how much she enjoyed the bonbons.  They still taste like the very first one that was made at Ripoll.  Chef Martin’s recipes will be world renown, she says.  She gives the chef a kiss which is much more action that Patrick got for giving her a massage.  After she leaves his office, Chef Martin laments that he is a fraud.

Sofie returns home to Snob Hill and finds Alex waiting in her office.  Alexa wants to sell her share of the business.  Sofie says that Ripoll is a family business and they are not splitting it up.  Alexa says that Sophie will lose control of the board if Alexa sells her stock.

Meanwhile, across the street, Grumpy Puss Paco is arguing with Chava’s mother.   He told her that he called Chava a traitor, and she is not happy about it.  Paco believes that Marisol, like her brother, is a traitor for trying to earn a living instead of showing their loyalty to him by starving to death.

De Que Te Quiero Te Quiero #164- Tuesday 8/26/14

De que se han olvidado del testamento (y otras cosas), se han olvidado
Soooo. Last DQTQTQ recap. Can't say as the show is going out on  a high note and tonight's episode proves it, BUT I have really enjoyed the camaraderie and conversation! Thank you again, Kat for getting this started. And thanks to Karen and Vivi as well for jumping in when the marathons began! Thanks, too to all the folks who commented!!!!

In the interest of full dislosure: I didn't take one stinkin' note and I didn't pay close attention. I've organized by "couples" (used loosely.)

Carmen and El
The get busy "reconciling", but a radio call from Cenudo breaks up their fun. Rod has robbed a drug store.

Karina and Alonso
Karina begs to help her get HOTscar back. They discuss how the baby daddy thing is going to work out with Oscar in the picture. Alonso wants it to be clear that HE is the father. Karina promises that the baby will know that Al is his dad and Oscar is her husband.

Hasta el Fin del Mundo #6 8/25/14 The Unstoppable Force meets an Immovable Object

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I only got a chance to see the first segment of the show online, the rest I had to watch as broadcast. Univision had the 'D' team on closed captions again so the captions were lagging behind the dialogue on this episode. I apologize ahead of time if I missed or misunderstood some of the dialogue. Please feel free to fill in or correct in the comments.

Let's get to it!

Armando gets fired from his new job and discovers that his old boss has bad-mouthed him to all the other auto mechanics. His employment prospects look bleak.

Chava escorts Sofia through the gauntlet of news photographers and reporters crowded around the Ripoll factory gate. The reporters shout questions at them as they plow through the crowd. Sofia agrees to talk to the reporters inside the gate.

Silvana hands Marisol a Ripoll uniform. Marisol thought she'd be working in the offices. Silvana nastily informs Marisol that since she hasn't finished high school, she isn't qualified for anything but working on the factory line. Silvana grabs the uniform back from Marisol, "That's the job you've got. Take it or leave it." Marisol puts her hands out to take the uniform.

La Malquerida # 1: 8/25/14: The Game is Afoot

Hola Amiguis. Yes, I am recapping this TN. Before I begin, I want to let you know that I recap by ear and the actors' body language. I use no captions whatsoever. I have a little earworm for your listening pleasure as you read the recap, How Do You Mend

Shall we begin.

We begin with a loving family of Alonso, Cristina his wife and Acacia their daughter. It is clear they love this Hacienda. Cristina takes a picture of Alonso and Acacia who are about to go off riding. Cristina reminds them not to come back late because they are having guests for dinner, Juliana and Norberto. Acacia and Alonso ride all over the Hacienda and he tells her all about the land. It has been passed down to him from his great grandparents, his grandparents and then his parents. It has been in the family a very long time and one day it will be hers.

Meantime, Norberto and his sons attend a cockfight. One son isn't into it but the other is.

No refritos today.
Lascuráin Mansion: In the kitchen, Bruno bursts Manuela's other bubble when he tells her that their boss will be marrying Isabruja. She is incredulous, asking “He's going to marry that bloodsucking bitch? How is that possible?” She is just as displeased with this idea as everyone else and rants about it. Bruno then suggests she pack her suitcase because Isabitch will certainly hand her a pink slip.

TELEMUNDO Y MÁS -- Reina de Corazones: week of August 18, 2014 - PAGE TWO

Hola Reina fanáticos: It seems clear to me we are going to come very close or exceed the 200 comment mark. I am going to be on the road for a few hours today so I will not be able monitor that closely. So I am doing a page two now and posting Sara's excellent recap of a really interesting episode. A mystery solved - who killed the 13 and many questions.

VIERNES PARTE 1
Reina wants to start a new life. Esmeeth will get everything ready for her. Navier interrupts the conversation, but Reina just says she's thanking Esmeeth. Navier notes with irony that Esmeeth is always there at the right moment and her boss must be very proud. He and Reina leave and Rocky comes in. He asks if she's going to say anything to Bolivar. She tells him no and that if he does it will cost him his job.

Laz arrives home. Miriam in the shower. A text from Putz arrives. Laz's cerebral hamsters begin treadmilling.

Estefy admits to being the one that hired the thugs to beat up Putz. No one is going to hurt Greata! Victor overhears and Estefy tells him that Putz was blackmailing Susana and threatening to tell Greata about her real mom. Estefy wanted Putz to understand that you don't mess with her. Victor approves and says he would have done the same...well, he would have done something a little different. He is unable to elaborate since his phone rings and interrupts. It’s Bolivar. We don’t know what he said, but Vic looks serious.

Miriam is out of the shower and she’s not happy with nosy Laz. She tells him Damian is a friend from rehb. Laz is no dummy. He begs her not to get involved with Putzy Trash like the Putz. Miriam concludes that Laz wants to leave her and go off with rich Greata. He can get rich and she can’t. Greata can’t even make love to him! Why Greata and not Miriam? For LOVE, Laz responds.

Izzy at the bridal shop. Connie tells him she’s a modern woman and willing to have a “free” relation with him. He agrees and asks her not to tell anyone about their “free” relationship.

Navier takes Reina to his apartment. Reina asks why they are there. He explains that he called Vic and told him they were giving their statements to Esmeeth. Reina doesn’t like when Navier reports things to Vic as if he were his trusted man. Navier clarifies that he is REINA’s hombre and she is his woman. Doesn’t she think they deserve to be away from all the crazy for just a moment. He’s not afraid of bullets. He’s only afraid of not being able to make love to her forever. Love on a short sofa. Shirtles Navier (drink.)

Laz looks for work. Miriam thinks Laz said he loved Greata just to annoy her. Laz is actually surprised by his feelings, too. Miriam makes the lame “she can’t make love to you” argument. Laz says a woman is more than just a body to him and Miriam doesn’t believe him. She knows he’s an ardent (fogoso) and passionate man. He pushes her away and tells her that thanks to her and the Putz’s shenanigans, he and Greata are kaput.

Greata cries alone. Susana comes in and asks what’s wrong. Greata says she can’t even dry her own tears. Susana asks if she’s crying for Laz. Susana explains that Laz had nothing to do with the beating of the Putz and that Laz is a good guy. Greata doesn’t believe it. No one who gets involved with her has honorable intentions. Who is going to love a paraplegic like her? Susana says everyone deserves a “gran amor”, even Greata.

As she leaves, she loses her shoes, he chases after her and finally catches up in order to explain. She absolutely will not let him, cutting him off at every start, and runs away. I absolutely hate when they don’t let someone explain themselves. What would it hurt to hear the explanation?

I didn't take notes watching so if I missed anything please let me know. Take a look at these sisters! They look like close sisters don't they? But pictures don't tell the whole story do they? Shall we begin?

We start where we left off last episode. The arguement at the Ripoll table. With all the money that Alexa has spent in Spain, she must have lived like a Queen for four years. Sofia advises Alexa to go back there if she wants to. We'll get back to them in a tic.

Chava, Marisol and Lupe are at table too. Chava would really like it if Marisol would go back to school. Marisol argues with Chava and tells him it's a new century, not back in the day. She wants to earn her own money to get what she wants when she wants it. Chava is thinking of selling his race car. Here Lupe puts her foot down. Chava worked so hard for that car, and someday he'll get back to racing.

De Que Te Quiero Te Quiero #162, 8/22/2014

De que son adolescentes, son adolescentes

I didn't take notes and I probably should have. Please fill in. Oh, and there was no mention of the will.

I'll just start with Rod, Al and the tribunal (for lack of a better word.) Al reports that Rod is perfectly responsible for his acts and should rot. Rod continues with his act. "Oh yeah?" he sneers "If I'm so OK, then why do I see Dead Al standing right behind you?" Rod says some other things and Al is pushed to his limits and starts punching Rod. Way to go, dude. Ruin the case. Rod is carted off to the hospital. I'm sure this is setting up for lax security and an escape. Al gets yelled at for beating up on Rod.

El and Luz manage to catch up with the Garcias. They happen upon Paolo and Mara (who are still attempting a little hubba hubba in the woods.) El announces his move to Mérida. Carmen haz a sad. Lupita is also upset and El tells her he'll always care for her. I seem to remember Luz says something to El about at least letting Lupita know he's not really moving, but El is sure Lupita will squeal. Carmen has to believe that he's really leaving.

Weekend Discussion: To the Manor Born -- How Much Does That Really Matter?

The class distinction that happens in telenovelas obviously fuels more than a couple of plot points per series. In the Americas there are no titles like those in Europe such as Sir or Dame for KBEs; Baron, Count, etc., in other countries, and there are equivalents in the Middle East.  Here in the Americas it's usually about money or where you went to school.

In all our stories these things are used by those who choose to ignore that all human beings are the same in all important things.  But so do people do this in life and it extends beyond how much gold is in your parents' coffers when you're born.

A college buddy of mine worked for a major global corporation for a number of years.  He was smarter and more articulate than many of his colleagues.  However, he didn't attend an Ivy League university and isn't a WASP; he's a first-generation American of Irish Catholic parents.  That alone was going to keep him out of the board room.  He didn't care about that once he got to the advertising department of his company where creativity was valued.

Do you think this is outdated or have you witnessed this in your own lives?  Have you beaten it on occasion?

Be articulate, amigos.

Hola Amiguis! This recap will be short and sweet. I have a wee little earworm I've been wanting to use and now I can! Take a listen as you read the recap, I Can't Drive  I am skipping the old and commencing with the new. Shall we begin?

Alexa is in the back of that Mercedes, sniffling about Papa's car, cause I guess when they went to the funeral this was the car used. Armando, ever the gentleman, asks her if she is okay cause he didn't know about the car. She just wants to go home. Armando tells Alexa he just loves this car, her Papa must have been great. Alexa asks if Armando is a chofer. Nopis, he's a mechanic and explains the racing circuit. She knows all about it she says. She went to races in Monaco.

While Greta is giving Miguelina hell, Fausto in the back is giving Lucas hell. Fausto has dealt with little ruffians like him before, grabs him by the scruff of his neck and throws him out. Kudos to Fausto!

De Que Te Quiero Te Quiero #161, 8/21/2014

De que el campamento fué un desastre, fué un desastre

A Tale of Three Campsites

Campsite #1: Luz & El
El and Luz continue to search for the Garcias, while El rehearses the many different ways he can tell Carmen that he loves her. He’s pleased to learn that Carmen has not yet been told about his work transfer. Unfortunately, neither Luz nor Lupita realized just how large the comet viewing area is, and the lack of cell phone service means that they are unable to coordinate to meet up.

El uses old fashioned tracking skills to find them. He sees the smoke from their lunch camp fire in the distance, but when he and Luz arrive at the site, the Garcias have already moved on an hour ago, by El’s estimates. With night falling, El decides to call it a day and set up camp for the night. Luz is disappointed, but mother and son end up bonding and reminiscing, and the woman El says I love you to that night is his mama Luz. As they snuggle down in their sleeping bags for the night, they hear the faint sounds of a cumbia beat floating through the air. El smiles.

Campsite #2: The Garcias & Company
Paolo’s mini green car is so loaded down with camping gear that it’s not a surprise when a tire blows out. Since the Garcias always take lemons and make lemonade, Carmen decides it’s the perfect time to fire up the grill and make lunch, play some soccer, and chillax. The Gracias even convince Irene to stay, with the promise that she can borrow some clothes from Abdul to suit her boyish (caballona) figure.

The Mushroom does his best to avoid having fun. And there are plenty of reasons for him to frown. 1) An errant soccer ball knocks over the lunch camp fire, topples the food to the ground, and starts a large blaze. The Gracias put it out and keep on moving to the final camp site. 2) A flare (sent up by El in an effort to alert the Garcias to their location) falls out of the sky and right onto Abdul’s tent, setting it ablaze. The Garcias decide to all pile into Irene’s giant tent, leaving Mushroom all alone in his tent. 3) The sky is too cloudy for the comet to be seen. The Garcias decide to dance cumbia around the camp fire instead. 4) The sky opens up and starts pouring rain. The Garcia’s snuggle up and keep each other warm in their tent, while Mushroom freezes in his. Carmen allows him to share their tent, as long as he stays as far away from her as possible! The Mushroom sulks.

Hasta el Fin del Mundo Recap #3-The Dress, The Dame(s), and The Discord that Detained Chava from Unemployment.

Sofia and Chava

Sofia lets Chava know he begins immediately and he is happy to oblige. Greta intervenes and says she has not finished interviewing him but Sofia insists he is OK and lays down the rules; no high velocity or victory cries since they're informal. He tones it down and they head out. Greta dislikes Chava since he's- Fausto interrupts and says Attractive, Sympathetic and of a Enchanting Smile. Greta says he is ordinary. Fausto suggests she has some chocolate Miguelina prepared since it will change her mind; Greta is up for the chocolate but her mind won't be changed.

Patricio's Cockamamie Scheme

In an alleyway of sorts are various thugs and a familiar face who comes out of a car; it's Patricio who has come to let them know what's up with the plan; They will track Sofia, kidnap her, bring her to a room or location of sorts and then he will come with cash which I'm guessing most likely will be a ploy and lead to Pat fighting to save Sofia. Sofia is to make it out of the kidnapping COMPLETELY unscathed physically and when they're fighting the thugs aren't fight by much and avoid hurting Pat's pretty little face. They know how to get the job done. They go their separate ways (for now. OK so his plan is save Sofia from harm. There's something else fishy about this plan but IDK how to word it. I mean it's supposed to make  him look like a hero but right after they get to the rendezvous, Pat is immediately going to go in and save her? Wouldn't Sofia wonder how he knew she was in peril? Yeah that's how to word it.)

Lupe and Irma

Lupe is getting down like the old lady from Soul Train when Irma comes in to bitch about her troubles. Lupe offers to watch her son and says it would be sweet to have him around when Irma lets out the biggest bitching and yells that she came looking for advice and not be barrida y regada (IDK man, IDK. Also, From this day forward Irma will be know as IrkMe since she irks me. I'm getting a Karina from DQTQTQ vibe from her and Armando is a competent Alonso right?)

Pobres, Wednesday night

EmiliAhole gets to infuriate Chuy by obnoxiously talking about leaving with his dad.

Mike tries to get the book of evidence from Mini. Good luck. She swears on some grim portraits of her grandfathers that she doesn't know, then proceeds to sexily pin him up against the window blinds. He amusingly struggles to escape.

Ahole himself oozes his greasy self into the Chuy house to drag off lil EmiliAhole. The little twerp reveals the phone his dad has been using to communicate with him behind mom's back. Basically, Ahole has threatened Lupita, saying if she doesn't come live with him he'll tell the judge she was neglectful. Also she understandably doesn't want the kid to be alone with his awful dad. But I say that ship has sailed. The twerp already sucks, let him rot!

Nepo has a confrontation with some young dudes I don't recognize. They make fun of Diego and he flies off the handle and must be restrained.

Mike tries to talk Lupita out of leaving with her son. He doesn't think the punk is in danger of becoming an "Alejito," but meh.

In the devil's den, EmiliAhole is delighted, Ahole makes some jabs about how great it is to see Lupita without suffering the odor of poverty.

AS is on the phone with someone, busily abusing the authority that she wangled bi forging her son's signature. Leo wanders in and rightly assumes that she's up to no good skulking in the kitchen. He tells her she should celebrate the impending arrival of her first nietuqi, but she's not buying it.

Mike tries to get into Ahole's place, and we are treated to the two of them spouting insults at each other for a bit.

Guendy and Rita gang up on Nepo about Diego and how he should accept that his kid has different dreams than his dad.

OMG NEPO COMES TO GUENDY'S ON HORSEBACK FOR A TWILIGHT MARIACHI SERENADE! it barely looks like him! She cracks up and loves it. He even gets the horse to turn prancing little circles!

Alejo teaches his son to be a jerk to the servant lady! If you don't like the food, send it back!

Nepo has a nice moment with his son. He apologizes and says he just wants to support and protect him. Meh, ok!

Alejo is reminded that he only has a few more days to comply with the will. Diego calls him the best dad in the world! He is rewarded with some fatherly advice. Guendy comes for a big family hug, it's all sweet, and even the fruit-stand flunky squeezes into the hug!

Mike visits Vilma in jail. He makes a good point - who are you protecting, Vilma? Alejo left you to rot! Tell me where that booklet is. She gives him a super lame hint - It's where no one would ever suspect!

Once they're alone together, Alejo wastes no time reminding Lupita of their nights of passion and gets a little handsy! He grabs her and gets super gross. She literally kicks him to the curb. She grabs him by the hair and beats him up. EmiliAhole walks in, sees it, and gives her a high five! Hah! He's excellently injured, and she celebrates when Alejo limps around the corner.

Minerva's mom signs over her shares to... Saul? She insists that the money is hers and hers alone!

Despite the beating he suffered, he manages to drag Lupita and the kid to a dinner with the board of executives dudes to show them off! The board is impressed, but reminds them that all three need to be present for the official meeting (about the clause).

Frida goes on a date with Tizoc. He tells her he loves her a ton and they dance. Whelp, guess he's been rehabilitated.

Mike tells Lupita what he learned about the location of the booklet. Surprisingly, she finds the thing under Ahole's bed! The cliffhanger, duh, is that he walks in and finds her in his bedroom acting suspiciously!

See y'all later, it's been fun!

Mi corazon es Tuyo, #23, 20 Aug 2014...Fernando commits the # 1 IDIOT MOVE of a man in his middle age crisis EVA!!! Bruno gets some truth serum under coaching from Ana and Nico

Refrito: Fer tells Nando what he feels for IsaSkank and they talk about Ana… exceptional… a bit different from Isa or big Fanny, but Ana gave Fer back the will to live… up until the moment he learned he was going to be a daddy… Ana is a wonderful angel who changed his existence.

At Lasc mansion, Ana introduces herself and the kids… Manuela almost messes up the whole plan… twice. They tell grannie that the painting is a cousin of Manuela’s… Ana says the story is long.

Lo Nuevo:

Nando asks Fer what he will do… no idea… no, that is not true. Have to do what is correct, the straight, ethical, perfect thing to do… you have to be aware of the consequences (of what you do). Nando reminds him of a variable that turns everything incorrect, imperfect… love.  (now, who is the grown up and who is the teenager here?  Sadly, it seems the melting process melted the brain cells in Don Hielo's head!!)

Back to Lasc manor… Luz tells grannie she wants to be like her mom (points to the painting) who is in heaven… everyone skips a beat… Manuela tries to fix things, but overdoes it a bit. Manuela tells grannie she is chef as a career, a very famous fine chef.

Back to Malinalco. Nando is talking about Ximena and how she used him, and what he felt… Fer says you are right when you say love is the variable that turns the world upside down… Nando tells Fer that Ximena apologized and then kissed him… and he admits it was his FIRST kiss… what did you do next? … kick her out… but have to say it was…. It was GREAT!... (Fer remembers his first kiss with Ana and smiles)

At Lasc manor… Nico reminds Ana what we are doing is for Bruno… but… it is wrong… Ana agrees that one should not fake who you are not…. Least of all in front of someone you love. Nico says he hurts to see that someone is so uncomfortable with themselves that they have to lie to their mom.

At dinner table, Bruno a.k.a. the man of the house and Manuela are talking to grannie. Grannie loves seeing them in love… (grannie has a name! its Ofelia!) Manuela keeps whispering bedmanners promises to Bruno and pinching him… LOL!

Luz questions to Ana why they are lying to grannie… Ana says there are some lies that are white lies, to not hurt others like in this case Bruno’s mom. Lichita turns it on Ana about the lie denying the kiss between Ana and Fer.. Lichita tells Ana to admit it… Ana keeps talking about brushing Luz’s hair.

At Malinalco… Fer asks Nando what about Briana, Alicia’s friend? She is a bit young… and he still is thinking of Ximena. Honestly, he loves Ximena. But he can’t date her after what she did to him. He likes Ximena and she likes him… but that’s where it stops. They laugh that it seems they are living parallel stories. ‘de tal palo tal astilla’ (the apple does not fall far from the tree)… Fer repeats to Nando he loves him very much… Nando says me too… and thank you so much for this moment… (embrace, kiss)

De Que Te Quiero Te Quiero #160 Wednesday 8/20/14

De Que me importa un rábano, me importa un rábano

Disagree with me if you will, but nothing happened.

They all got ready to go camping. The end.

But if I must, here's a rápido recap.

Paul sees an internet article about a comet.

Brat whines about working.

Lupita imagines Carmen's rage if she found out Lupita lied and told El that Carmen was with Paul.

El wonders  how to get Carmen back. He rehearses "te amo."

Rod is taken from his cell for an evaluation. He stinks. They're taking him to the showers.

Paul interrupts a family B!tch about Brat fest with his telescope. Somehow a huge camping trip is planned.

Al talks to Rod. Rod tries to play crazy.

Lupita is pithed about the trip and doesn't want to go.

Rod asks Al about Brat and makes a lewd comment about her coming for a conjugal visit.

Lupita tells her mom about the lie she told El (that Paul and Carmen were an item.) Carmen is not moved. She doesn't want to be with a man who doesn't trust her.

El and Al talk about the evaluation. El just wants Rod in jail for a long time.

Rod calls Brat from jail and tells her she'll be back in jail with him soon.

Diego and Simona are still trying to decide on a location. He sees the internet article about the stupid comet.

Camping plans. Camping plans. Irene had a successful meeting with a boutique with locations all over Mexico. Camping plans. Paolo and Mara talk about *whispers in ear* en pleno bosque (in the middle of the forest?) Camping plans. Paul b!tches about the family cramping his peaceful comet watching style and turning it into a pachanga. Hell, they'll probably bring cumbia music. Carmen reminds Lupita to pack the Cumbia CDs and tells her she can't tell El where they are going. More camping plans. Irene and Nat shop for too much camping gear.

Rod provokes Al.

Lupita fibs about dead camera batteries so Carmen has to leave. She runs to Luz.

Diego shops for camping supplies.

Lupita and Luz cook up a plan in which Luz will ask El to take her to see the comet.

Al wants to be objective. He really doesn't think Rod is crazy. He calls Paul for a consult. They meet. Paul thinks Rod is completely responsible for his actions. Let him rot (I took some liberties with that line.) Meanwhile, Rod hopes everyone has believed his crazy act.

Luz call El and tells him about wanting to go camping and see the comet. He's on to her. He knows something's up. He goes investigating and sees the boys with all the camp gear. He figures it's a perfect place to confess his love to Carmen.

Simona packs and since Diego didn't think he should give her any hints everything she packs is kind of inappropriate.

Everyone ignores Brat.

Al reports his findings to Vicente. Vicente is saddened by the news that Rod will have to serve a sentence in jail, but agrees it's what Rod deserves.

Everyone finally gets on the road (Paolo's car looks like it belongs to the Joads.) El trained in Israel?? Qué? Simona is still asking where they are going. She doesn't seem to happy when she gets there.

Paolo gets a flat. Carmen wants to relax and fix some food and enjoy. Paul is miffed. Lupita panics. How is she going to alert Luz where they are?? There's no cell phone coverage.

Luz is with El wondering how she'll find out where the others are. El mentally rehearses "te amo." Luz lets it slip that Carmen still doesn't know about El's plans to move to Mérida. El thinks that's great. He can let her think she's losing him, THEN spring the "te amo" on her.

Simona has allergies.

Avances
I didn't pay attention.

Babies ruin EVERYTHING Mi Corazon Es Tuyo #22 08/19/2014

Hi friends, Time Warner is screwing with me again so I had no chance to watch the episode until this morning, it's gonna be a quick one!

Let us start where we left off yesterday, Ana and Fernando are kissing and are seen by Luz, who thinks this is major, major news and she runs to wake up the rest of the kids, man if someone woke me for that I'd be a very unhappy camper!

The kids come down to the living room and begin to question Ana and Fernando, were they kissing? Ana and Fer, deny, deny, deny, which is kind of horrible because they are calling little Luz a liar, the younger kids get sent up to bed and only Fanny, Nando, and Alicia remain, they ask their dad if he was kissing Ana and he maintains that they did not kiss but the kids are not buying it.

Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #2 : 8/19/14: The Good, The Bad, The Badder and the Ugly

Recap by Cynderella

Uptown:  Patrick awaits Sophia’s answer to his marriage proposal.  Before she speaks, Greta, her mother, tells her that people don't have to get married.  It's now acceptable to live in sin.

Downtown:   Somewhere in the ghetto, as usual, the poor people are dancing.  Who can blame them?  Anyways, it’s Marisol’s 18th birthday party and she doesn't seem too happy about the guest list.  Her mother invited all of the geriatric people in the neighborhood.  Mom tries to cheer her up by giving her a present, but that doesn’t do the job either.  She wants Chava!  Suddenly, a horn blares and the crowd roars!  Chava strolls in singing, accompanied by more old people playing instruments and wearing white mariachi suits.  Oh joy!  Nothing says PAR-TAY to an 18 year old like her middle-aged brother serenading her along with mariachis who are old enough to be her grandfather.    Marisol and the crowd join in the singing and Chava wraps it up.  A few more people give her gifts.  Matias, the guy with the soul patch gives her a huge teddy bear and encourages everyone to have a good time!  He announces that Chava and Armando are
unemployed.  Well, the party is over.  He's bummed the poor people out and that's not hard to do.  Later, Chava and his mother discuss how the neighborhood business owners have been selling their shops.  Tulio, his boss was got an offer he couldn't refuse.

Que pobres tan ricos Tuesday August 19: Alejo takes Lupita to court

Our internet is out, I wrote this on my lap top and sent it to my phone by Bluetooth

I liked.. seeing Tizoc telling Ana Sofia again: "We'll love our baby a ton. My dad raised three kids much happier than yours who grew up in a palace of money."

Because Alejo needs to prove he didn't force Lupita to marry him, he has his stooge lawyers draw up an accusation against her: that she has abandoned the conjugal home.

La Malquerida Starts August 25th. Pobres Recappers Phone Home..........

We have a new TN starting on August 25th, this coming Monday, that will be replacing Que Pobres Tan Ricos, entitled La Malquerida. If you would like to recap this TN, please email our Blog Mom at caray@mappamundi.com or me at navygurl75@gmail.com.  I am going to give you some background on this TN first and then a brief synopsis with pictures of the cast. Shall we begin?

La Malquerida is based on a play and not the usual remake after remake of a previously done TN. This TN is based on a book of the same name as the TN by the Spanish Author Jacinto Benavente. He was a Nobel Prize Winner for Literature. The book was published in 1913. There were two movies based on this play. The first was an American Silent Film, entitled "Passion Flower" and was released in 1921. It starred Norma Talmadge and Courtenay Foote. The second movie was a Mexican Production, released in 1949, entitled La Malquerida and it starred Dolores del Rio and Pedro Armendariz. The Producer of this TN, Jose Alberto Castro has stated that he based this TN on the book alone and not the movies.  Now on to the synopsis. This will be a barebones synopsis so as to avoid spoilers.

Hasta el Fin del Mundo - #1 - 8/18/14 Well, this is just.... Awkward

The Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez is abuzz with activity. Rows of gleaming semi trucks arrive with their cargo. Race cars are unloaded from the trailers. Mechanics go to work wielding wrenches, jacks, gauges and polishing cloths.

Race car number 86 moves down the pit lane and onto the track. The roar of the engines gets louder, the tires squeal in a fight between pavement and centrifugal force. The drivers shift gears, the heat from the track rises. We can almost smell fuel and burning rubber as the cars scream by. Chava Cruz presses in the clutch and shifts gears, then accelerates. His pit crew cheers him on. "Faster! Make them eat your dust!" Chava's mind and body coordination becomes almost a dance: clutch, shift, gas pedal, turn. Again and again. Chava speeds under the checkered flag. At trackside his pit crew checks the stopwatch and cheers. Chava pulls into the pit and stops. He removes the steering wheel, lets down the window netting and climbs from the car. He greets Armando, "You're the best mechanic! We're going to win BIG!"

Large disks of chocolate move down a conveyor belt in a dance of their own. Workers in white coats wrap the disks in paper and put them in yellow boxes. Wait... those disks look familiar. Is that Abulita? Yes! I have some of that in my pantry! (We're getting our product placement out of the way in the first five minutes. Thank you Nestle'.) Another worker calls to Sofia who's been inspecting the production line. "Maestro Coria is waiting for you to taste the new product." Sofia makes her way toward him. "Let's go Matias." She praises the workers, "Good work, girls!" and follows him off the production floor.

De Que Te Quiero, Te Quiero #158 - Mon 8/18

De que muchas corazones se están rompiendo, se están rompiendo

Simona asks Diego what Nat was talking about in the office. Diego explains that Rodrigo did a lot of stuff to break them up, but it doesn't matter, it's over, and he's ready to move on.

Alonso goes over the hospital to ask Oscar, aka HOTscar what his intentions are toward Karina.  Reminder, Alonso…you're the baby daddy, not Karina's daddy.

Paul wants Carmen to be more supportive of Brigitte, but Carmen is just tapped out of compassion.  El leaves Paul and Carmen to talk.  Paul's surprised about Brigitte as well, but he doesn't want to just leave her to her fate.  Carmen doesn't think she can handle it and Paul pats her ineffectually until she cries on his shoulder.  He looks uncomfortable.

HOTscar tells Alonso he felt sorry for her, because she was so alone, and then started calling her.  He apologizes for thinking Karina was "alone" since Alonso's presence proves she's not.

Paul goes out to tell El that Carmen doesn't want to talk to Brigitte.  El understands her heartbreak, having watched the way Carmen raised all the kids.  He asks Paul to help Carmen as much as he can.  Paul wants to see Brigitte…

Qué Pobres, Lunes 8/18/14 (#160): «Permesso»

Not a whole lot of laughs this evening, but the best moment for me was when Tizoc said "Permesso" to AS.

Reruns:
Saul hitting on Rita; Trofeo spiking AS's coffee; Leo and Diego (who, I notice, is now leaving his shirt unbuttoned like Leo does); Ahole lies to Emiliano about making peace with Mati.

Isela insinuates to Mini that she's got something on Ahole.

New stuff:

Ahole tells Lupe that she can have her divorce, and sole custody of Emi, just as soon as he's reinstated as president of the Editorial. Lupe points out that this was their original deal and he reneged, so why should she believe him this time? He gets angry, recalling that Mati spoiled it the last time by showing up safe and sound. Then he recovers and remembers that he's supposed to be sad that Mati is dead.

Frida chats with Emi. She tells him that Mati is in heaven with her husband and her sons and Emi's grandmother Marce too. Emi tells Frida she'll be a great mom someday!

Isela and Minerva attend the wake. Mini is wearing a super-sexy dress; MA has to peel her off of him. Isela taunts AS about their rivalry to become president of the foundation. Three sheets to the wind and counting, AS calls Isela a rude bleeped name several times. (The Spanish captions don't say what it is; the English captions say "hag.")

Nepo arrives with a band to serenade Mati personally. (Is that really him singing? They should have had him sing much earlier.) Irked by Ahole's histrionics, Leo pulls him off of Mati's coffin so that he can sob on it himself. Ahole protests the "vulgar" music, not realizing (until MA informs him) that Mati loved this kind of music. Frida adds that this is what Mati would have wanted for her farewell party. Ahole dramatically pulls Leo off the coffin to resume his own loud outburst.

Saul corners Rita. He flirts with her; she tries to keep up with trite conversation. Gwendy watches, stunned, as Saul trots out all of his best moves at his best friend's grandmother's funeral.

In front of the former members of the board-of-zombies, MA tells Ahole, "not long ago, Mati said that Aureliano wanted to surprise us a few more times with new lessons to learn." Ahole replies, "how dare you mention the clause at our grandmother's funeral!" "Excuse me, but I didn't mention the clause. YOU mentioned the clause!"

MA thanks the zombies for attending and says the burial tomorrow is family-only. Ahole puts on a show for don Tulio et al. He tells MA he won't be at the burial. He can't take it. MA says that's no problem, because Mati wanted Ahole to take care of the divorce tomorrow anyway, so why not respect her last wish and stay away from the Menchacas forever?

ALL the Telemundo novelas will be preempted on Thursday for the "Premios tu Mundo" broadcast.

TELEMUNDO Y MÁS -- Reina de Corazones: week of August 18, 2014 - PAGE ONE

Okaaaaay! Welcome to a new week of discussions about our favorite "novela loca." Last week had fantastic recaps and comments ranging from the law of spousal privilege to who would call their boss, "El Supremo," plus there was our weekly compilation of the Wisdom of the Dragon by Anita and an updated mystery list from Vivi. Speaking of compilations,  here
is a link to last week's compiled recaps on Dropbox. (for some reason the text does not start right under the title. You have to scroll down to the next page.)

Sadly, though, we will only get four days worth of our fix since Thursday's capitulo is pre-empted by the Premios tu Mundo presentation. Bwahahahaha!  If the volume of comments merit a second page, I will post it later in the week.

Can't wait....

Cap. 20

Alicia and classmate are home intending to practice a cheer leading routine for the   lacrosse team.  The two girls bump into Nando who’s on his way out.  Classmate sees hearts and flowers for Nando, still in neck brace and the retro head-warming golf cap, who is heading off to who knows where and for who knows what (not that any of us in Viewerville cares a whit whether we know what or where …..)  Nando is perturbed and tells Ali and friend to watch where they’re going.
