PEAM #90- Elbow Loves and Silk Stalkings
First, a nice refrito of Jesus patting himself down thoroughly in
search of his missing phone, in just the way that I know all you girls…never
mind. Onward!
Jesus gets the skinny from the babbling Avonites about the flight
to Cancun. Time is of the essence, so naturally he proceeds to have several
conversations: engaging Doña Su for bastard-sitting and Elias for
princess-sitting, chatting with Vale, and then talking with Seb about
fatherhood and daughterhood. Good thing nothing’s on fire. Okay, now he really
has to run. He grabs a photo of Alma on the way out to use as a visual aid.
Alma lands in Cancun completely drained -- not even enough energy for one little noogiefist! She sinks into a chair at the cabstand with all the expression of a lawn ornament. (Well, I wanted her to stop acting.) Using symbolic telenovela language, she communicates that she’s really mad at the Chooch-man by taking off the ugly bracelet -- but she communicates that she’ll forgive him eventually by not throwing it away.

Jesus arrives at the airport with his purloined photo and his
tight jeans and his sincere look and gives the (female) ticket agent and the
rest of the (female) travelers in line an impassioned speech about his guardian
angel and his love for her. (Not sure why he waxes rhapsodic about Alma’s
beautiful blue eyes, when on the doll – and more important, in all the Reina y
Ayudante cartoons – she has green eyes. Beanie, beanie, who’s got the beanie?)
Anyway, his no-surprise-prize on Mexican Idol is the last seat on the last
flight out to Cancun. The ladies all clap and exhort him to run-run-run.
Vero invites herself over to Casa Rogue to talk strategy. Rogue
and Vero should swap jackets. She’d look much better in the pink job, and that
blackish floofy thing she’s wearing kind of matches his hair. Rogue wants to
know what Jesus has that he doesn’t, and Vero gives him a cataloged list: he’s
kind, generous, honest, sincere, authentic, trustworthy, and he’s got wicked
nice arms. You have to wonder why, if Veronica values all these virtues so
highly, she has made absolutely no effort to cultivate them in herself. She’s
right about the arms, though. They agree to collaborate on dirty deeds to be
named later.
Alma checks into her hotel, where she gets her very own personal
hostess, who gives her another ugly bracelet and some hand-frothed tree spinach
juice. I guess when Vero got all real & meaty, she donated her collection
of weird green drinks to the poor impoverished Mayan hotel-owners. Apparently
this particular cocktail makes you thought-bubble -- but only about bad things.
And then you want to…ACT. Someone stop her!
Jess shimmies up to Fernando and tries to talk him into a date,
but he has a previous harassment. She persuades an unhappy but susceptible
Cardenas to follow Fer to the nightclub. Poor little guy. What does he see in
her that none of the rest of us can see? I for one am getting tired of all the
flouncing and pouting. She acts like she’s two years old and someone just
turned off the Teletubbies.
Back in the dressing room, it’s gloves-on, and Julio can’t
restrain himself – he sweeps Xochi into a big ol’ backward-dipping kiss that
knocks her glasses askew. This time she doesn’t look altogether displeased. But
the show must go on – Julio introduces Natasha, and an enraptured Fer does the
beings-of-light dance to the same old song. When Desencanto hotly pursues a
giggling Xochi back to the dressing room, she tells Julio to keep him out, but
when he knocks, she invites him in! Makeover…or bipolar? You decide.
Finale: Through diligence and subterfuge, Jesus finally locates
Alma and knocks on her door. She makes the box-mouth.
In other news: Chatita gets dizzy, Don Gil just wants to get
drunk, and Sanson definitely does NOT like Veronica.

Corazon Indomable #45, 7/12/2013: Breaking News: El casino de la Isla has been robbed! (And we now get to hear about it and its aftermath from 5 different viewpoints!)

We begin with Alejandro looking dapper in his work wear
talking on the phone to Tobias. He updates him on the latest news, a client won a lot of money on the ship. MC believes that it was a trap by Carola and Tobias
agrees with her opinion. Alejandro also tells Tobias that MC is now a mother, and he tells Solita.
Celebrations and cheers all around!!
The very same Carola is in the office with Tony and finds
out that her accomplice was robbed. Raiza is now informed and she is all “I told you
so” mode. Carola agrees and feels like she is losing this war.
MA is with the cute not named baby and the nanny. MA is mad
that she was not told about Alejandro returning to stay at the hotel. MA is about to run
off and see him when there is a ring at the door. Some admirer (Karim anyone!)
has sent her a rather interesting looking bouquet of flowers. The nanny
finds a jewelry box in the set of flowers (now we are talking) with a note.
Karim thanks her in the note and says that the jewelry is to complement the
payment. MA is very confused at Karim’s inferences, wondering if it is
some custom from his country.
The brain of the crazy plan is talking to one of Karim’s
henchman trying to justify what he did. If Karim ever found out, he will have
his head cut off!! They discuss something that I am really not paying
attention to, but my brain engages again when Mohammed states that he will talk
to Karim and if he doesn’t mind him, then he will bring the brother in (Uh-oH).
(I didn’t catch much of the convo, so please fill in if I missed something
important.)

Amalia says that she’s
leaving the decision to report Jorge Alfredo Vargas to the police up to Maria,
that it’s not their place to do so. She’s
free to make her own choices about the people she cares for. She sweet talks Ruben into agreeing with her
and he leaves with the stick up his backside still in place. Justo thanks her for not betraying his
identity to Ruben.
Meanwhile, JAntos
and Maria decide on names for the little crumb-cruncher to be: Maria for a girl
and Jorge Alfredo if it’s a boy. The two
are giddy—well, mainly JAntos—at the thought of having a child together, at
least until he remembers that he’s now got to provide for three, not one, and
his future is still so uncertain. (Oh,
get real, writers! Viewerville knows he’ll
inherit Daddy’s fortuna and in the meantime, there’s no way El Abue's not going to
share what he has to make certain that JAntosito doesn't have to clean up in a common bathroom in the barrio.) Maria promises to stay by his
side and then to continue working at the bar, particularly if he might be busy
defending himself and still trying to clear his name.

Amores Verdaderos #173 Fri 7/12/13 One Step Away from Pink Boot Hill
Arriaga and Lilly are having a screaming match in the middle
of the nursery. He wants Lilly back in
his life, but she ain’t budging. She
tells him that she can’t and won’t accept Vicky. She still believes that he has betrayed the
memory of her mother and wants nothing to do with him. He grabs her and tells her that he loves her
and then leaves. The blind, deaf and dumb
customers continue to shop. Later Lilly
cries in a corner. Arriaga will be happy
without her. He will have the son that
he has always wanted, she says.
Sandwiches Are Our Friends
Nicky gives a rousing speech to group of bored bulimics and
the medical staff at an eating disorder clinic that she has just opened. Free medical care for everyone doesn’t even
earn an applause from the emaciated ingrates.
The Ballsvaneras have magnanimously required the entire house staff to
attend the PSA meeting and encouraged them to voluntarily use their own accrued
PTO (paid time off) hours to support Nicky, who has always been so gracious and
kind to her servants. Bulimics are seated
on the left side of the aisle, behind Adrianna, who is filming the PSA. Non-bulimics and most of the medical staff
are seated on the right. As expected,
the Ballsvanera employees have been directed to the rear of the room. Nicky credits Adrianna, her mother’s support
and Guzman’s love for her recovery. Afterwards,
Nikki is rushed by the eating disorder paparazzi and fans who are dying to know
how she got her start vomiting. Ironically, Nicky tells Guzman that she will
not be able to eat lunch with him today.
Arriaga sadly shares the details of the argument with his daughter with
Guzman. Polita’s tells Jean Marie that
Lilly has changed.

With Don
Alejandro visiting Isla Dorada, the focus is on control of the casino—will Carola
wrest ownership away from Don Ale (and MariAle)? If that’s not high on your worry list, you
can entertain yourself with the amorous schemes of Eduardo and Emir Karim. If all else fails, you can play Fashion
Police with the ladies’ gowns.
Hospitality at MariAle’s Villa
MariAle
gives the baby to DA to hold. (repeat from previous night) He kisses his
not-yet-claimed nieta and asks a blessing from God. He says MA’s amazing,
although she counters that he still doesn’t love her. He explains he couldn’t bear the guilt if he
knew his daughter had suffered as she did. MA thinks the harder her life was,
the more he should love her.
MA would
like DA to have confidence in her (and she looks capable in a dark red power
dress). He thinks she lacks only some experience and if he weren’t knockin’ on heaven’s
door, he would give her the power of attorney. And speaking of his death, how
will she live on her own? No problema,
she’ll be honest, have self respect and pride, and no one will stop her.

Qué Bonito Amor #64 (Mex 95.2-96) Thursday 7/11/13 Que Familia Dividida
Amalia wins Justo over to her side and he convinces Jantos to leave the apartment. Whether he convinced him to leave Maria alone until he's declared innocent remains to be seen.
Ruben crows to Julian about what a great job he did scaring Amalia. He's sure she'll try to get Jantos away from her daughter. Julian says Ruben was right about him after all--he's none other than Santos Martinez de la Garza, wanted in the US for money laundering.
Maria, who didn't say anything as Jantos and his family were leaving, now tells Amalia that she was wrong and she's going to defend their luuuuurve with everything she's got.
Jantos has whiplash from how fast Amalia changed her mind about his and Maria's relationship. Wendy is embracing her snotty side, dissing Maria for not being a rich bitch like she is. Jantos throws it in her face that he's just as poor as Maria and it's all her dead baby daddy Bruno's fault.
Ruben and Julian think it's possible that Jantos also had something to do with Arnold's murder. Ruben can't wait for Jantos to come back to the DF so he can be the one to turn him into the LA cops. Careful, Ruben, I think your crazy is showing.
Justo tells Wendy to beat it so he can talk to Jantos alone. As Jantos points out, Wendy hasn't changed a bit. He chooses this moment to break it to his family that he's already knocked Maria up, so they're stuck having her as a member of the family, whether Wendy likes it or not.

* At the Balvanera mansion Vicky and Tomasina talk about the two pregnancies. Tomi thinks having a little brother/sister and a nephew/niece will be good for Nikki, because by the time she’ll have her own children with Frankie, she’ll know how take care of a baby.

PEAM #89- 7/11/13- I Can't Take It Anymore So I'm Off To Cancun (It must be nice!!)
We begin with a furious Alma banging on Paty the back
stabber’s door, Rogelio calls and she tells him to go to hell!!! Rogue calls
Paty screaming about Paty sending the video to Alma and Alma sending him to hell.
Paty plays stupid and then scolds Rogue. Rogue threatens Paty. He asks who is the male voice. It’s her boy toy, the photographer. Jesus
feels a little uneasy about Val and Xochy distracts him by sharing her secret
about singing in a bar and being Natasha and Ferny is in love with her. Paty
and her boy toy walks up to Alma and greets her friend as if nothing and gets
pimp slapped by Alma.
Paty tries to lie her way out and calm Alma down. She sends her boy toy on her way and
confronts Alma. Unbelievable, Paty
is still lying and Alma tells her that her father told her everything. The liar
is quiet. (It’s funny how Paty asks who told you and she always finds out who
snitched on her.) Alma lets her
know that if she doesn’t tell her the truth she is going to know the other
stupid Alma, not the one who she backstabbed.
Xochy and Jesus share a laugh and Ferny interrupts. Ferny
asks Xochy why doesn’t she wear makeup.
She jokes about being ugly. Xochy asks if Ferny plans on going to see
Natasha tonight. He notes the
change in Xochy’s behavior. She is
not as timid as before. Ferny is
looking for Alma, who is not in the office.
Alma wants the truth.
Paty’s friendship was more important than Rogue. Paty throws it back to Alma and says
that she never said that she was in love with Rogue. Alma remembers the boyfriend that mistreated Paty was in
essence, Rogue. Alma wants to know why she backstabbed her and she tells Alma
that she loves Rogue.

CI #43 -7/10/13: The Situation Has Gotten Out Of Control and Is No Longer a Laughing Matter

The situation has gotten out of control and is no longer a laughing matter
"Sh*t just got real" is an expression being used by kids all over America, on Twitter I read something that translated that phrase to "The situation has gotten out of control and is no longer a laughing matter". Folks, on tonight's episode "sh*it just got real", both in the casino and at the Narvaez farm. I've combined events to make it easier for me to get through everything without having to jump all over the place.
We join MC 3.0 in Carola's office, they argue and MC 3.0 does not go easy on Carola and calls her a thief, she tells her that she is a woman of the casino and that she can't yet tell Alejandro that she is his daughter because of his health, but that she has other means of getting what she wants. Carola questions what those other means might be and MC 3.0 tells her that her backup plan is Karim. Carola looks like her lunch might be coming back up.
Also in the casino Mohammed is up to something with two women, I really don't know what's going on but it looks like they are planning something, if any one can help clear up what's going on that would be a massive help! While Mohammed is away Karim is at home wondering why he is not answering his calls, he needs Mohammed now!

They play the music; they dance vertically; they dance horizontally. Ah love. Morning finds them in bed, gazing adoringly at one another. Arriaga gets up and prepares breakfast. Vikki has to go to the Balvanera house to check on things and most importantly, to tell Adriana about her pregnancy. Ahem. Er. He tells Vikki he is working as Adriana's bodyguard.

Verónica loves Jesús
And in Vero's little head there's no room for understanding that Jesús loves Alma and keeps insisting on having the family she rejected 6 years ago. She might not really love Jesús, but since he came back to Monterrey and is getting his life together, she became obsessed on having him by all means necessary, not limited and including getting naked when he is showering, changing just for him, spending great amounts of money for a home cooked two person dinners, and so on...
We might never know how her little brain works, because now that Jesús has ''put the cards on the table'' highlighting one more time that he doesn't love her, she thinks of revenge and threatens him with not letting him see Valentina from now on (if he doesn't comply with her terms). Jesús loves gossip and that takes all the room, so no, no room for revenge in Jesús heart...
Marta loves Valentina
But she is so mental that now that her cover is blown, she will see less of the little girl. Both Elías and Jesús have agreed that Marta should be kept away from the whole family and that she needs help. Her ''mental lakes'' are getting worse and she is afraid because after them, she doesn't remember anything! Her case is worse than Chatita's...
Ricardo loves Marisela
And telling bad jokes. He takes her to eat tacos from the street vendor, and even when she refuses at first, ends up eating more than him and licking all her fingers (as millionaires like her surely do, but of course, with gloves on). Everybody in this TN loves TNs, so the taco maker loves MI PECADO.

Mendoza Apartment: Fernando calls a halt to this, insisting that they need to solve this as a family; Maria insists they stop this argument and find her sister. Amalia finally accepts that Jorge Alfredo is sincere in his affection for Isabel and insists they work together. However, she doesn't want him in the house.
Los Angeles: Justo works on the computer and asks Wendy whether she still has the key to Bruno's place. She does and agrees to give it to him.
Fernando's Apartment: Susanito comes in with a map and suggests they divide and search. They agree.
Big Bear Lake, CA: Justo and Salvador go via seaplane to a cabin that belonged to Bruno and begin searching.
Street in D.F.: No luck so far for Fernando's posse [Where the hell did Jorge Alfredo get that unflattering baseball cap?] They split up and continue.
Pit: Isabel admonishes her doll not to cry, saying she's sure her papito will find her. It's hot so she pulls a piece of roofing over them.... just as Jorge Alfredo arrives. {Eli here, in Isabel’s position I’d be more freaked out about spending time with that creepy doll than I’d be about being stuck in the ditch}
Cabin: Salvador finds a red file folder and he finds it totally by luck, he first looked for evidence of Santos innocence under the sofa cushions, yes, because that’s where we would all hide something as important as evidence of our money laundering scheme. *eye roll*
Pit: Jorge Alfredo walks away and I have to ask has he gained weight? Those mariachi suits look mighty snug on him, I fear that if he bends over his pants might rip.
Cabin: Justo goes through the papers and finds Bruno's bank records, some credit cards, and the key to a safe deposit box.
D.F.: Reconnaissance of both groups with no luck. Amalia cries again and this woman is just as bad as Victoria Ruffo, yes, I went there.
Bank: Justo opens the safe deposit box and finds a note to Jorge Alfredo clipped to some relevant documents. Finally, a lucky break!

Maricruz has fainted, but not to worry
cuz there was a doctor in the house…er…on the plane after all. Eduardo comes through to the passenger cabin
of the plane. He does a rubbernecker
special when he suddenly recognizes their preggers emergency passenger to be none
other than Maricruz 3.0. Cara de caray,
caray! de Eddy. He radios for an
ambulance to be waiting when they land [aterrizar].

Amores Verdaderos #169 Mon 7/8/13 Frankie finds himself performing live in 'Nightmare on Bruna-Street', Nil-Brains finally gets a couple good news, news which don't sound so sweet to KenDrat; Another false alarm for Adri; Bea's sad day
Nil-Brains in hospital bed, KenDrat all over him telling him if Anyballs tries anything again she will kill him herself. He says no need, once that letter gets to its destiny, Anyballs and Candy will end up in jail.
In comes Anyballs, telling her she doesn't belong here, it is the place of Nil-Brains' wife. KenDrat explodes on him, shouting 'how can you come here after what you did to Nil-Brains??!!' Nil-Brains asks her to leave, she makes it clear she is going to leave because HE asked her to.
Nil-Brains and Anyballs exchange challenging stares...
KenDrat in hallway, still smoking angry, saying 'when i is convenient to me I will know how to cash out on that letter, not like Imbecil Nil-Brains, who almost ended up losing his life and a leg.
Dances comes by her with a coffee, asks her sarcastically how is Nil-Brains, 'little fox'? She is in no mood for humor, has more important things to do. Dances says 'yeah, like sharpening your claws. Now that Briss is broke, who will be your next victim to squeeze out of money?' She says if only Inepto/Espanto and Jonas had not betrayed us, you and I would already be at an island enjoying the two million they collected on Nicole Briss' ransom. ' Dances responds 'I ducked a huge bullet there, because the biggest mistake of my life would have been to continue teaming with you. Now I am a new man thanks to Bea. Maybe it is time you turn your life around. Do it for your daughter.'. KenDrat says 'you are so pathetic, when I need advice, I will ask you for it.'
Carlos calls Adri (who is in car with JA) to come to his apt ASAP. She is surprised at the request. He says the team is all here, he needs her input to chose the locations to film the movie. She is a bit anxious about heading there, but JA tells her dont worry, those guys will take some time to count the money before they call you back. So she tells Carlos ok, will be there (although she is still very nervous, she can't think of anything but the call she is waiting for...). 'My dad never lied to me. He really did not know where Lucia was.' JA tells her he wishes all the anguish and sorrows she has gone through since she lost her daughter will end today.'
Once KenDrat gone, Nil-Brains tells Anyballs 'it was you who sent them to shoot me!' Anyballs calmly responds 'you ran out my patience with your threats, but everything has a limit, and now you know what you risk if you tell my secrets. I warned you that for my family I would do anything, now look at the sorry excuse for a man you ended up now. ... Oh, by the way, I ran into the cardiologist who did the surgery on your bastard daughter. He said she will be released in a couple of days. I wonder if you will have enough cash to pay the bill, because it will be high'. Nil-Brains asks 'did you come here to rub it in some more?' Anyballs says 'no, on the contrary, i came to make you a final offer. I am willing to pay the bill at the OVERSEAS hospital of your chosing for yourself and your daughter. I will cover all-inclusive for your 'bastardita' and your lover, and their company will help you heal very soon. It will be money well invested for me. In a few minutes the lawyer will come to have you sign the divorce... Any objections?'

Apartment: Jorge Alfredo calls out Maria's name repeatedly; he's
so wasted he didn't even clean up before doing this. “Is that
Elvira with him? What is he doing bringing her here?” Maria
hesitates before going downstairs.
Oscar's
Apartment: He thinks about Maria having a baby. Fernando shows
up and pushes his way in.
Mendoza
Apartment: Amalia asks Maria what she will do. She has decided
to confront the situation. Amalia thinks Jorge Alfredo is only there
to humiliate Maria, but Maria doesn't stop. She puts something on
and goes downstairs. Elvira suggests they leave; Maria doesn't want
to see him.

PEAM #86- 7/8/13-When Will We See Alma Explode?? Uh, Not Tonight!
Happy Monday, no you are not reading it wrong. Today is
Monday not Thursday but I am subbing for Cheryl tonight. I hope that everyone had a great
weekend.
We start of with Sebastian blaming Jesus for Rogelio’s
failed marriage. Sebastian presses
Susana to see if she noticed anything between them and Susana sings Jesus’
praises. Sebastian doesn’t want to
hear it.
Paty the back stabber is trying to calm down Rogue. Rogue does not want her to touch Alma’s
bed. Paty is trying to find out
what brought up Alma’s conversation with him. It was during the birthday party. She babbles on about
how this took place before she sent the Jessica videotape to Alma. She tries to put in Rogue’s head that Alma
and Jesus spent the night in Toluca together. Rogue is not buying it and Paty can’t believe it.
Alma is looking at the video and hears Paty the back
stabber’s voice. What is she doing
at Rogue’s house??? Why is she jealous??? Alma is trying to put two and two
together, but it’s taking awhile. (She could have flipped a table for a good
effect)
Paty tells Rogue that Alma is not capable of deceiving
Rogue. Since Alma married you and
didn’t love you. It just shows
what an upstanding person she is. She hates infidelity. She tells Rogue that
she is faithful to him and loves her with all of her heat.
Alma is flipping out.
She doesn’t believe that Paty would betray her. She calls Paty’s
house. No answer. She calls Paty’s cell. No answer.
Elias and Jesus are still talking about Dr. Loca and Val has
a nightmare. She dreamt about Dr.
Loca being a monster. Val will be okay;
she is with her 3 parents who love her. Que padre!!! (A touching scene) The Ice Princess is melting!
Xochy/Natasha is singing at the club and Ferny is in
love. Thank goodness, Xochy can’t
see him. Julio tells Xochy that
Ferny is in the audience, throwing flowers to her. She puts on her glasses to see. The crowd is yelling- another song!!!. Ferny tries to go to the stage and Alex
pulls him back.
Sebastian is talking out of both sides of his mouth. Jesus
is a starving secretary and Susana says so is she. Susana speaks highly of Jesus’ character and talent even
though he is not wealthy.
Sebastian is adamant about Jesus not being the right type/social class
of person for his daughter and Susana tells him than neither is she for him. He shouldn’t judge Jesus without
knowing him. (What a double
standard- Rogelio is a wealthy, lying, womanizer that is worth marrying his
daughter. Debt or not, wake up
Sebastian.) Susana shows Sebastian
the door.
Jesus wants to clarify things with Elias about his
relationship with Vero. Jesus
makes it clear that he loves Alma and doesn’t feel anything for Vero and hasn’t
touched her.
Alma is trying to figure out why Paty is at Rogue’s house
yelling.
Elias is not buying it and Jesus reminds him that Val needs
a roof over her head and he would have done the same thing. Jesus is totally in love with Alma. He
sleeps in his room with the door locked and Vero sleeps with Val. (How many
times does he have to say it?)
Alma confessed to Jesus that she loves him and Elias felt more secure.
Ferny wants to see Natasha and Julio is barring him from
entering her dressing room. Julio
lets Ferny know that he is not working now; he is not his boss so he cannot
order him around. Ferny leaves and
tells Natasha his name.
Elias realizes that Vero doesn’t love him. Marisela is a young, immature cutie but
she has problems. Jesus knew about
Panfilo being Marisela’s father but doesn’t like to gossip. Elias has his faith back in Jesus and
they shake hands. They part and Elias wants to call him Chucho again, they hug
under the loving eyes of the Virgencita.
Julio loves Xochy and Natasha. Julio sees that Xochy is
changing. Ferny is hot for
Natasha. Xochy doesn’t get
it. Ferny is trying to ditch Alex.
(What happened to light? Stay strong Ferny)
A distraught Alma decides to go home to confront Paty, the
cell rings.
Gil (the wimp) tiptoes into his apartment to Begonia who has
her suitcases packed. Gil thinks
that the suitcase is his. Begonia
tells him that it’s not his. Gil
and his toes are impactado!!!!
The phone call was from Sebastian, who can’t believe that Alma
is still working and starts his crap about Jesus and Alma cuts him off.
Paty is cuddling a sleeping Rogue and telling him how much
she loves him, he is the reason for her existence. Bleeeck!!! The lights are out.
Ferny thinks that he has caught Natasha and comes upon Xochy
and Julio. They tell him that
Natasha left through the VIP entrance.
Ferny starts questioning Xochy, as to why she is there, he didn’t see
her in the audience and then he is asking questions about Natasha. Xochy came with Julio because they are
a couple and Julio can’t believe what he is hearing. Ferny thinks that Natasha
is simply marvelous. Julio asks Xochy to be his girlfriend and Xochy is screeching
happily that they deceived Ferny, they have to be careful and didn’t answer
Julio.
Begonia is trying to explain to Gil that she is done with
their marriage (She picks up the giant rolling pin and Gil jumps- hahaha!!) and
that Gil will be happy without her.
Just two suitcases for all of those years of marriage? Geez!!! It was a little sad.
Jesus checks on a sleeping Val and Vero and covers them up.
Alma is STILLL at the office!!!!! Sebastian calls yet again. It’s 1 AM and he doesn’t want her
in the streets alone at this time.
Alma will be okay. She is
staring at the paper angel, crying for Jesus. (Hello, we have cell phones, now;
it’s not the 1950’s). We end the scene with Alma crying.
Vero awakes looking for Jesus, who is showering. He is looking for his plaid shirt. Finally, Alma calls Jesus. She doesn’t answer while Vero, wearing
Jesus’ plaid shirt disrobes. She
slips off the shirt and says that she is all his, while Alma is listening. He
tells her to get dressed. She
can’t take anymore. (Listen, honey stop crying and at least throw something!!) Jesus, now the Ice Prince, tells Vero again
to get dressed. He tries to continue
the conversation but Alma has hung up.
He calls back and of course Alma will not answer. Jesus asks his namesake why do humans complicate
life?? The Ice Princess who was all hot, bothered and melted is still sitting
in disbelief, sadness and embarrassment.

Luciafer gleefully spills the beans to Miguel, except for
one minor detail – who caused the fire. Miguel is surprised MC is not a
thief; Luciafer tells him MC did not have the intelligence to be a thief.
Miguel asks if she is also responsible for the fire that killed MC’s
grandpa. Luciafer denies it, saying she told him the rest because she
wants him to know how she helped him. Miguel says all his joy at their
newfound prosperity is gone. Now he won’t be able to look at their son
without thinking about Maricruz, and it would have been best to have never
known the truth. (Yes, indeed, ignorance is bliss, but only for so long.)
Jose Antonio continues chatting with the police chief about
his suspicion that Ewwsebio was in cahoots with Luciafer, but the police chief
says suspicion isn’t enough. He promises to continue investigating until
he discovers the truth. (We’re not holding our collective breath on that
promise.)

Kendra Ferretti, Mr. Brizz’s authenticated amante, processes this medical information. She avers that she doesn't want to be married to someone with a wooden leg. She's probably worried he'll wear a black eye patch and walk around saying, "Aaarrrrrrggghhhhh, mateys!"
Malú saved from unruly fans by Supersuperman is grateful. Gives him a smile and an autograph.
Mr. Constantine, famous film director, after being a victim in a vicious ambush attack by two thugs who rearranged his face and ribs, has hired Francisco Guzmán as bodyguard. Regrettably the leading lady in his new film has hijacked Mr. Guzmán for an afternoon and evening of fun and frolic, certainly to be discovered by his insanely jealous mujer.

Amores Verdaderos #168 Fri 7/5/13 FF's Prognosis; Kenho's Mis Planes Set Into Motion; We Find Out Where Ms Vikki Went
Hola, Patio Peeps! This recap will be short and sweet and condensed, well maybe for me, but I will fit everything in. Of course, this recap will not be in any order and I may have missed some things, but y'all can comment if I did.
The Hospital Where FF's Dreams May Come To An End or Anyballs' Handiwork:
All those of the Balvanera Manse support staff that have given blood for FF are now going with Salsa Dude. Off they go. Angel is still trying to get a hold of Ms Vikki, but her cellphone is out of the area of service. Frankie and Angel have a little convo, and Frankie says how he and Nikki found the FF. Adri and Lili are sitting together and feel like come coffee talk, nah, Lili says she wants to go to the chapel to pray, and Adri and Lili go off. Salsa Dude comes back and here come Hottie Doc, sigh, I have to pause a minute, sigh. Ok, I'm back, sorry got distracted. Anyhoo, Hottie Doc has come to speak to the FF's family. And wouldn't ya know it, Adri and Lili are nowhere in sight. So to the audience of Nikki, Frankie, Salsa Dude, Angel and ugh, the Kendho the Hottie Doc gives the result of the surgery. Since I am still learning Spanish, Carlos can fill in what I missed, but seems the bullet nicked an artery and there was a great deal of blood loss and seems if the blood doesn't start flowing properly in the FF's leg, he'll lose that leg! Shock and awe I tell you! Nikki cries and Kendho of course is pithed!
Later, Nikki is sleeping and Frankie gently wakes her up to let her know he is on his way to work. He will be taking Anyballs' money with him. Nikki is worried her Snappy Pappy will lose his leg. Frankie tells her Snappy Pappy is a strong guy and he'll be ok. Smoochies and Frankie goes off to work.
After Frankie leaves Nikki gets herself a cup of Joe and here comes Tomi to spend a bit of time with Nikki. Tomi can't beleive she is there all by herself. Nikki tells her Frankie had to go off to work, and that lobuki Kendho went home too, which Nikki is happy about. Tomi has brought Nikki a change of clothes, another bag for FF and a Nikki's laptop that Adri gave her to give to Nikki. Nikki is happy. Nikki also tells Tomi thanks to Adri, Frankie now has a job with Joan Constantine as his bodyguard.Nikki changes and they are about to leave when the nurse comes out and says Nikki can go in to see her Snappy Pappy .

Corazón Indomable Fri July 5... "I Did It All!"
As Maricruz packs her magic suitcase, she has only two objectives, her child who is blissfully percolating in her womb and her vengeance directed at the daddy of that contented fetus. She wants to grind him into the dirt with those lethal high heels she wears. Well, she said that there are only two things she can think about but she is also hoping her pappy will give her power of attorney over the casino without croaking when he learns the truth that she is his long lost daughter. The doorbell rings and it's Raiza who has come for a little visit. They eye each other warily.
Though Raiza looks pretty good in blue blouse and black skirt, Maricruz wins the fashion face off with a stylish breezy short lavender chiffon confection.

after him, hoping half-heartedly to keep him from doing something stupid. (Good luck.
El Col has his macho permanently locked in the “on” position.)
Rodrigo learns from
Paloma that Jorge Alfredo and Maria broke up because, according to Maria, he
didn’t trust her enough. They determine
they’ll always be truthful with one another and seal it with a puppy-love
kiss. Suddenly Rodri remembers he has
something in the apartment that could help JA and Maria mend fences. He and Pal head for his dad’s place to get “it”,
it being a letter JAntos had written and torn up some time ago.
At the “Crossed-Off”
bar [El Bar Cruz de Olvido= Cross of the Abandoned/ The Forgotten’s Cross (to bear?), Olvido=also oblivion, obscurity],
JAntos, now duly crossed off Maria’s All Time Top Ten list and having landed on Maria’s sh!t list, continues crying into his bottle of tequila while he listens to a group of
so-called mariachis struggle to carry a tune and struggling even more for a
reason to finish the song. (Having
to listen to that bunch definitely had me crying too.)

Oblivio puts down his newspaper (He was reading? Really?) as MA strolls by the garden. Oblivi leaps over the wall and stops our girl in her striking coral swimsuit and sheer coverup. He begs her for a real conversation and offers to tell the story of his love for the girl who looks like her. He wonders if the bad mood she claims could come from his resemblance to the past scoundrel who hurt her.

Qué Bonito Amor #59 (Mex 88-89.1) Thursday 7/4/13 Que Desafortunado Bebe
Yep, Maria's pregnant. "With a criminal's child," as Amalia puts it. Amalia has to pull a fake-out with "I won't love that baby…I'll adore him." Paloma's excited to be an aunt, Amalia's excited to be a grandma, and Isa…?
Roddy's all dressed up and smelling good to go see Paloma. Colosso gives him some money to buy Paloma flowers with. As he's leaving, Roddy lets Elvira in.
Isa, of course, is worried nobody's going to love her when she's not the baby anymore. She's not too thrilled about the diapers…she volunteers to feed the baby, though.
Elvira is stiiiiiiill after Jorge Alfredo, but Colosso doesn't know where to find him. Elvira brags that Maria won't sing at the bar ever again.
Amalia laments that Maria didn't fall for Colosso. Once again, Maria tells Isa that her "daddy" is a bad guy, which sends Isa off to her room to cry.
Irasema and Susanito argue. Irasema's Team Jorge Alfredo all the way. After all, he's the reason she now has Susanito. Irasema tells him if he condemns Jorge Alfredo, he's condemning her too. Susanito caves, of course. "What the hell. I was born henpecked and I might as well die that way!"

Roddy's all dressed up and smelling good to go see Paloma. Colosso gives him some money to buy Paloma flowers with. As he's leaving, Roddy lets Elvira in.
Isa, of course, is worried nobody's going to love her when she's not the baby anymore. She's not too thrilled about the diapers…she volunteers to feed the baby, though.
Elvira is stiiiiiiill after Jorge Alfredo, but Colosso doesn't know where to find him. Elvira brags that Maria won't sing at the bar ever again.
Amalia laments that Maria didn't fall for Colosso. Once again, Maria tells Isa that her "daddy" is a bad guy, which sends Isa off to her room to cry.
Irasema and Susanito argue. Irasema's Team Jorge Alfredo all the way. After all, he's the reason she now has Susanito. Irasema tells him if he condemns Jorge Alfredo, he's condemning her too. Susanito caves, of course. "What the hell. I was born henpecked and I might as well die that way!"

PEAM# 84- Rogue's Pity Party Continues; You Can Cut The Sexual Tension With a Knife and The Re-emergence of Cybil aka Dr. Loca Marta
Happy July 4th!!!
We begin with Paty the Back Stabber- drinking what may be
poison and sending the incriminating email to Alma.
Dr. Loca is at Avon with very youthful, high shoes, waiting
to see Alma and goes to the bathroom.
Marisela comes out of the bathroom and bumps into Panfilo,
she trips over a broom, Panfilo calls her daughter and asks if she is okay. She
scolds him for calling her his daughter all the while Dr. Loca is listening. Panfilo asks how is she and Marisela
tells him that she is fine and Elias is divorcing his wife. Dr. Loca is still listening.

Solita just can't win, she is not doing well and the doctor is going to send an ambulance for her, Don Ale and Tobias agree not to tell MC 3.0 about Solita's health issues, they don't want to worry her, after all she is also pregnant. Later we are back in Solita's room at the mansion, the doctor has run some tests and has sent her home with some medications, the results of the tests will come in later and Tobias worries that Solita is not taking care of herself because she does not understand what's going on inside her body (sad!), Don Ale tells Tobias that it's his job to make Solita understand what's happening to her, Tobi looks less that happy about this new job duty, I suggest he ask for a raise.
Isla Dorada
MC 3.0 is having a visit with Mohammed, he wants to know what Karim can do for her, she tells him there's only one thing she wants and that's to return to the casino, as she understands it she was fired at the request of Karim, Mohammed says that this is true and she replies that if he got her fired he can also get her back her job. Mohammed says that Karim was going to do just that but that he got him to abandon that idea because he thought it was her preference not to return to the casino. MC 3.0 tells him that Karim can make Carola take her back and that's all she wants, Mohammed promises to let Karim know what she's asking for. I think she should have also asked for a pony, a pink pony, that's what I would have done.

suffering the pangs of morning sickness.
Amalia sees Maria rushing to the bathroom and the wheels start to
spin. Hmmmm Amalia brings her some food but Maria doesn't
want to touch it. Amalia tries to give
her a pep talk – stiff upper lip, all that stuff, but Maria feels defeated and
dejected and betrayed. Amalia philosophizes
that when we fall in love, we tend to magnify our emotions. But the same thing happens when our hearts
are broken. We tend to see only the
bleakness of the situation and forget the joys of life. Maria feels lost and confused. Amalia encourages her to eat. She notices Isa is there, crying. Isa lashes out that she no longer loves Maria
because she's rejected her “Papito”.
Maria agrees she brought a lot of pain into their home the day she
allowed him to have her love.

Rogelio, who almost got circumcised in Acapulco, threw the house out of the window with a party that included cabrito al pastor, fajita, asado de puerco, grilled zucchini and onions, jalapeño peppers, soft drinks and beer. When Fernando, who almost fell in love during jail time, thinks all this is for him, runs to happily hug Rogue, but soon he finds out it is not. It is because of Alma.
Alma, who almost lost her ''other virginity'' in Toluca, is more surprised to see nobody working when she left, than seeing them clapping when she arrives to Rogelio's mansion. Palomo group plays the Diana and the ''mañanitas norteñas'' and she blushes as she walks by Jesús side. Jesús, who almost lost his gold medal to more experienced secretaries, spends the whole time making all kind of faces. I know I should have counted them, but I only have 10 fingers!

The Old Stuff
Francisco has a briefcase full of cash, a first class plane ticket to New York and a phone video of him and Aníbal doing the deal.
Arriaga chooses the cash settlement Victoria's lawyer offers for the loss of his house. As he signs the agreement, he smiles at the thought that Vikki is with him, helping him, even when they are apart.
The New Stuff
Aníbal tracks Nikki down at the Pizzeria to tell her he just bought off the love of her life for thirty pieces of silver (a cool half million at today's exchange rate). Even as they speak, Guzmán is on his way to the airport to hop a plane to New York, he tells her. Nikki is stunned. That can't be true!
"Go see for yourself," says her tatito coolly.

Lo siento, I'm afraid this is going to be a rather haphazard recap tonight. I was sort of in and out when watching, so I know I missed stuff. I encourage everyone to read the comments because I'm counting on our wonderful commenters to fill in the blanks I will inevitably leave!
Well, at least I have screencaps. So it's going to be more of a screencappy recap than a recappy recap. Captas?

* The Little Ape and Nikki are having a pleasant chat at home. She seems happy with her plight as waitress and Guzman helps show her how to ease her poor aching feet in a warm pan of water, a remedy to help her after a long day of labor. Labor, something she's never experienced before now.
* We return to the masked men who have broken into Carlos's place (with Vicki there) as the men proceed to give Carlos a first class beat-down. Carlos tries to resist but he's outnumbered. Vicki is tied up and has duct tape covering her mouth. She cries in terror as she is forced to watch poor Carlos get the snot beat out of him.
* Big Angel is preparing to leave for good and wonders to himself how he'll sleep with her so far away.
* Meanwhile, the hapless Zambrano (who always is the guy on duty when some crap goes down) returns from the errand he was sent on to find this chaos. He releases Vicki and she tells him what happened. He secures the apartment and then Vicki and he call the Mexican version of 911 because Carlos looks in pretty bad shape.

The Streets of D.F. lead to a Cantina Flophouse
Jorge Alfredo is still meandering the streets carrying his remaining memories of Maria in a sack and in his arms. (We are afraid he will gift it to some street person.) But no, he goes into a unknown cantina, asks for a bottle of hooch and gets a room. The lady barkeep takes him up and unlocks the door. It looks more like a cell. (The Televisa Rata is in the scene and here we thought he was a goner. He looks quite healthy.)
Serenataland
The fellas are outside, the gals are inside. (We notice that Pilar, El Siete Mares has joined the mariachis and has two lines.) Oscar is very upset because Maria is drinking and it’s all El Pochito’s fault. Inside, the girls are washing that man right out of Lady with Bangs life. Back at the Mendoza apartment, Amalia is fretting again. Maria hasn’t come home. She calls Oscar and this time he answers.
She’s on the phone as the girls emerge carrying bundles of clothing and gasoline. They proposed to burn that man right out of Lady with Bangs life rather than wash. They are screeching down drunk and Amalia can hear them through the phone. She asks Oscar to put Maria on the phone, but he says she can’t come right now, because she’s with a client. Yes, he knows what time it is, but out there, time is money and they’re making it. He’ll bring her home safe and sound.
Oscar and Susanito take it upon themselves to light the fire—it could be dangerous. At the last moment Maria takes the Wanted Poster of Santos out, unfolds it and adds it to the pile. The matches work; the stuff goes up in flames; Lady with Bangs cries; Maria cries; she says, Hasta Nunca, Jorge Alfredo; Lo Nuestro se Acabó (until never, JA; our [love] is finished). Santos hears her singing in his mind up in his room and cries. Maria watches the fire and cries. (This is just the beginning folks—it will be enough to fill a river before the hour is up.)

PEAM, Tuesday 7/2/13 (#82): Half a Loaf
Xóchitl finds her mother unconscious on the floor and screams for Julio, who comes running to help. He holds a mirror to Bárbara's mouth and verifies that she is still breathing. Xochi calls an ambulance.
At the hospital, Xochi blames herself for her mother's condition. Julio tries to comfort her, but she seems to turn away from his hug. The doctor gives his diagnosis: Physically, Barb is perfectly healthy. She probably faked her swoon. She needs a psychiatrist. (Or a big bowl of Cocoa Puffs, because she is cuckoo!)
Bárbara is staring vacantly in her hospital bed until Xochi enters. Then Barb puts on her most pained expression and demands to know where Xochi was. She's yelling and scaring the other patients. She particularly complains about Julio. "Julio helped me bring you here," Xochi says. Bárbara grumps some more and pretends to gag or choke. "I know you're faking," Xochi tells her. "The doctor said so!"
Bárbara denies everything and says the doctors are all wrong. She's very sick. (With Munchausen syndrome, maybe!) Xochi tells her mother she thinks she's doing it to get attention, but it's not necessary because Xochi loves her.

his journey of discovery none the wiser; Maricruz Maria Alejandra Olivarez
Mendoza de Narvaez still looked non-pregnant and got into fights with everybody
(isn’t she the least bit worried some of this stress will affect her baby?); and
everybody else went about their scheming, like they normally do.
Today…
Maria Alejandra (I
would call her Maja, but that makes me think of Camila’s lovely dog) calls Tobias, wants to talk about the
problems Carola is causing, like the fact that she kicked her out of the
casino; also, she has no ally in her quest to defend her father against the two
Cansicko Sisters. “No lo voy a permitir!” she proclaims, but she needs a power
of attorney to stop Carola. Tobi warns her Don Ale won’t giver her one, so MA
decides she has to tell him the truth, it’s the only way she’ll have enough
authority in front of them bleached ones.
But Tobi is worried
about Don Ale’s health, so MA asks him to talk to the doctor about it. And no,
she won’t go back to Mexico and give it all up, she still has a card to
play – telling Carola she is Don Ale’s daughter!! (Yeah, don’t tell pops the
truth, but go ahead and confide in your nemesis! I’m sure Carola’s heart will
melt with joy – IF she believes you, that is).

Valentina puts Chatita to sleep with her retelling of the boring Queen and Lackey story. In Val's version, a wicked witch put a spell on the Queen and that is why she married the Evile One. Vero wakes Chatita and yanks the Ayudante doll out of her hands.
Elías invites Marisela for an evening out. When he picks her up, Vero is rude and condescending to the young gold-digger. Like she's any better. El and Mari go to a fancy restaurant, where Marisilly stages her usual act of what she thinks sophisticated rich people act like, with the usual abysmal success. Elías looks like he's starting to doubt the tale she's spinning, with her reminiscences of dining at Big Ben and taking a cruise in the fjords of Alaska.
Pato answers Rogue's tragically booty-free call, considerately dressed as a nun so as not to incite an uprising amongst his oppressed lower levels. He irritably puts up with her heckling over his many problems, but then he drops a bomb: he's been ousted from Avon, and his salary isn't coming with him. So buh-bye Sugar Daddy, hello Nine To Five for our Paticakes. She'll have to cut costs; probably give up her expensive apartment. Pato is outraged. WORK?! HER?! What about his other businesses? Well, turns out he had to give up his other TOTALLY LEGITIMATE businesses when he was arrested. No connection, surely.

about his feelings for her. He wants a chance to prove his innocence to her before the authorities. However, this isn't cutting any ice with
Maria, who tells him in no uncertain terms that she wants him out of
her life and the lives of her family and Rodrigo. She turns away,
pauses, then takes off the engagement ring and casts it to the ground

Carlos arrives at B mansion, Polita plays her typical PR welcome skid, makes him laugh and goes halfway up the staircase to put up another forced audition… Poor Carlos, he must be getting Howie Mandel syndrome. Have to say with her body language and her hands all over him, she was quite funny.
Adri comes in, Polita plays ‘oopsie, was just entertaining him for you’. Carlos follows the lead, he seemed quite entertained by the whole thing, laughing. (Polita wants to sing the theme of the movie… LOL!!! good one!)
He came to explain why she found another lady actress in his apartment. She says no need to explain. Carlos knows better, she is just playing indifferent but she does care. She says he has always been sincere about relationships, asks him not to worry about her. See you this afternoon at mtg. Carlos arrives at B mansion, Polita plays her typical PR welcome skid, makes him laugh and goes halfway up the staircase to put up another forced audition… Poor Carlos, he must be getting Howie Mandel syndrome. Have to say with her body language and her hands all over him, she was quite funny.
Adri comes in, Polita plays ‘oopsie, was just entertaining him for you’. Carlos follows the lead, he seemed quite entertained by the whole thing, laughing. (Polita wants to sing the theme of the movie… LOL!!! good one!)
He came to explain why she found another lady actress in his apartment. She says no need to explain. Carlos knows better, she is just playing indifferent but she does care. She says he has always been sincere about relationships, asks him not to worry about her. See you this afternoon at mtg. (he leaves, she takes deep sigh… then tells Tomasina having an open ended relationship will prove unbearable)

Corazón Indomable #36, 7/1/2013: One Day You’re In, and the Next Day You’re Out, and Mari is OUT!
We start off once again with MariAle rejecting Karim’s
measly half a million dollar diamond necklace and earrings, via phone. “I’m not
for sale, and I never will be!” Mari claims he would have done better to send her
a humble bouquet of flowers (didn’t he try that already?). She tells him to
find female company elsewhere. “I’ve got more important things to do.” *Click* Cara de muy, pero MUY, confused de
Karim.
Speaking of confused…up in Tamaulipas, Jose Antonio overestimates
Octavio’s powers of reasoning and deduction and figures he must be up to date
on what REALLY happened to Maricruz after speaking to Santa (the SAINT). Nope,
not so much. He doesn’t know what to believe. JA can’t believe the crap coming
out of Tav’s mouth. “Maricruz is NOT a thief!” Tav is still confused because:
1) she was in jail, after all; and 2) Luciafer dropped the charges and freed
her. Plus, JA and Santa have no proof to back up their accusations. JA gets in
his face (more than a ranch peon should with his boss) and tells Tav his low
down, crappy family set Mari up, and freed her just to get her out of town.
