Lo Imperdonable #44 Fri 7/17/15 A Passionate Cleansing
I don't have much time today so this will be a short recap:
* Thoughtubbling from Marty and Vero. Both are in different places but via their thoughts they recite the lyrics of the theme song to each other. Marty apologizes to Vero via his thoughts while Vero says that she can't forgive Marty this time.
* Marty via his thoughtbubbling knows that he doesn't deserve Vero's forgiveness. If only she knew how much he loooves her. She's his everything - his light, hope, beginning and end. He needs her respiration. He's sure that he and Vero will get back together. He will find a way for Vero to forgive him. The two will leave the past behind. Marty gets on the boat that will take him one step closer to the city.
* Lucky Old Goat. Not only did he survive the operation but his shall we say intimate parts were left untouched. Now all he must do is take his medication and lose some weight. If he does all this then we'll have to deal with the old goat for a loooong time. Oy vey. The old goat is ready to head back home because he can't stand being in the contaminated city that is full of cars and shameless women. Die Old Goat. Die. Oh and he wants Botel to give him back the letter he had written for Ana Perla. No one must read it. Hmm...
* Emi tells Virginia that he tried to convince Nanci to let her come along to the jungle to meet her people BUT... Virginia "understands". She's ticked off though because Nanci said that she was a bad person. How dare she do that? Emi thinks it must have been Nanci's way of saying "Me no like Virginia". Emi changes the subject and tries to convince her to head back home but Virginia can't. Because she promised her aunt and uncle that she'd return with him.

La Sombra del Pasado #108 (Mx 109) 7-17-15 The return of Cris's spine and Val takes charge: Good vs. evil, lite
Sombra Patio Peeps! Estamos en las Ultimas Semanas! Let’s jump right in. Some members of the patio have entreated the tn gods that Cris keep the nice, erect spine he sprouted last episode. Well, our boy marches in to daddy’s office demanding to know where his lover, Simoneta is! He cares because Simoneta is expecting his and Lola’s half sibling and Simoneta is Lola’s mother! Sev doesn’t accept the child is his but Cris has learned aaaaall about DNA and this matter can be settled easily. Sev finally says she is in San Miguel holding up her part of a bargain they made: Sev claims that Simoneta had an abortion. Sev shouts that Cris ought to be more concerned about his own unborn child than Sev’s. Cris knows how to take care of his own business. AND SO DO I! Yells Sev. Cris doesn’t believe Sev one bit and vows to leave no stone unturned until he finds Simoneta and he prays to God when he finds her that she is well. Cris leaves Sev using his tongue to count his teeth. (Igbo saying for laying something on another’s mind.)
From the Police Station Aldonza calls Hum to tell him Eman
is in jail. Hmm, looks like the same
patient that left the office in indignation the day Hum through Pru out. I guess his cough won out over principal.
Nava, Val and Sev (Los Tres Diablos) are walking.
Sev tells Val to trust that Nava will get her momma out of jail and lock
up that low life Eman. They run into
Aldonza, Renato and Silvia as they leave the station. Snarls, yips and hissing ensue. . .Aldonza
(the zorra) should be the one in jail. . .Pru is going to be sued for slander
and defamation of character. . .Sev insults Aldonza’s virtue and she holds Ren
back from charging. After the three walk
away, Val kvetches about how much she HATES Aldonza, Sev caresses her face and
Nava looks at them like, “what the . . .”
Cris goes to the Santa Lucia Hilton to get some info on
Simoneta. The clerk gushes and grins
right into the camera, torn between
whether to flirt with Pablo Lyle and telescope her continuing availability as a
novela extra or actually play the part of the hotel clerk. Pablo, not Cris, looks like he wants to burst
out laughing. Anyway, he gets a
forwarding address for Simoneta but we don’t know if this actress will get
another part. Sheesh!

Amores con Trampa #79 Friday July 17, 2015 Isa and Francis go from bad to worse... Estefi can't deny her 'evil nature' ... Santee tries to come back home but Isa won't have any of him.
Estefi convo with Jacinto… (we hear her thoughts) she feels
bad she is deceiving Jacinto and all the Carmonas but she has to admit her
mother was right, she does not know how to NOT BE bad. She knows she will
eventually betray all the Carmonas.
Isa visits the Carmonas. Notes to Conchita that Conchita is
dressed normally. Says some nonsense about Conchitas clothes getting worn out.
Conchita isn’t buying, she feels GOOD there at the Carmonas because they treat
her as family, something she never felt at the Velasco household.
At San Bartolo Florencio arm wrestles el Panzon. Hilda comes
in and debriefs Florencio about the Maria, Facundo et al happenings. She says
he should have some hope because his letter DID cause some impact on Maria.
Hilda leaves and Florencio mumbles to himself ‘Maria will be mine again!’
Maria does receive Isabel at her house, although treats her
very dryly. Isa has several ‘announcements’ for her. Perpetua went to threaten
her in defense of Maria. But Isa is
willing to follow up on her earlier promise to Maria that she will leave
Facundo alone. Maria is suspicious, and I am too. (good for you Maria).
At office, Beto congratulates Facundo (on staying away from
Isa?)
Felipe catches with Carmen at school, wants to get together
again, she has to check with Facundo (really? How old are you? 8?) Francis
comes again to annoy Carmen and says Carmen dug her own grave. She threatens
Carmen again yada yada… (maybe Francis should go to the eye doctor… not that Felipe
is THAT ugly, but if she is all about appearance, does she really want Felipe
over Diego or is this just a personal vendetta on Carmen and no longer about
the boys?)
Conchita is a bit edgy serving Porfirio in the kitchen. He
complains a bit about her rebellious attitude ‘Calmate! No es para tanto! Estas
hacienda tormenta en vaso de agua’ (calm down, its not so serious! You are making
a storm in a glass of water… meaning… its not that big a deal as you seem to
make it)
Porfirio keeps calling her ‘yeguita’ (mare?)
Carmen admits she never felt for Diego what she has always
felt for Felipe. All she cares about is Felipe. Are you happy now?? (too bad for her that Francis was recording
this conversation and is planning to use that tape to her advantage)

Lo Imperdonable #43 Wed 7/15/15 "And to my grandson Manuel, I leave my second best bed..."
Technology and life have conspired against our beloved LatinInMd in small and aggravating ways today. (No worries, she is just fine!) The upshot is that those of us who look forward to her Wednesday recaps will have to make do with what NovelaMaven can remember about last night's episode.

Marty and Vero – Dueling Passions
We join Crazy Marty and Vero in a full-blown Harlequin Romance moment. He has just bested her in their duel and with one swift movement of his sword, has sliced off the top button of her blouse. Will she be swept up in the passion of the moment? Hell, no! When Marty is off guard, she knocks his sabre out of his hand, picks up her own, and with its point at his throat, gains the upper hand.
Has he allowed her to win? Probably. She was angry before. This makes her even angrier. She is unwilling to listen to his explanations. Their self-destructive dance has gone on too long. It's too late. They might have been very happy together, but now it's over.

Yo No Creo En Los Hombres Capitulo 3 Wed 7/15/15 : Ari's wonderful day
Sorry for the delayed recap, my family had a 4 hour long power outage and later we were 2 hours without an Internet connection. Anyway despite the hissy rage here is the recap:

MD proceeds to break up with Daniel over phone because she has called him over and over but only received one call in return. If she calls now it's because ours is now Basta! Daniel doesn't take it well which affects his driving skills thus he crashes into a lamp nearby. (Is this the final goodbye , the anvil of a century? Let's find out!)
Hoe-Sefa points out to the maid of honor, Honoria that MD will never pay Julian any attention cause he is sick ( And his eyeballs also look like they're shortly falling out of the sockets but he is still a great guy) . Hoe-Sefa also reminds Honoria that Max came with other interests rather than actually offering help but MD will choose him anyway. Hon forces her to shut it and it takes three tries till the Duck Tape Curse takes effect or not because Hoe-Sefa promises a sweet revenge to be had.

La Sombra del Pasado #107 (Mx 108) - Wed 7/15 - Inebriated absent one's posterior
OK, the Tomas-Silvia outing is set for Friday and he insists on paying. He also offers to snog her on the park bench, but she laughingly resists…sorry all, but she looks like she's enjoying it…at least until Pru shows up to make a scene. Don't be calling Silvia a "golfa!" (Three guesses what that means, and you'll only need one. Drink!) Can Silvia sue her for that? I'd watch those court proceedings. Pru calls Tomas her "EX-novio" and stands on the bench to shout out to all the passersby that no, he's her AMANTE (lover), because the lady here is MARRIED, is she not? Even if it won't be for much longer. Silvia's watching this in fascination. Tomas calls her out for going to Aldonza's house last night and says she's a hypocrite because he's her AMANTE! AMANTE! AMANTE! His unseemly behavior drives Pru away and drives Tomas and Silvia into gales of laughter.

- Cresensio is in Mexico City, he needs an operation to make sure his heart keeps ticking, Botel and the other doctor assure him that the operation has minimal risks, but that without it he will die (yay!)
- Cres does not want the surgery because he is afraid he will die and he can't leave this planet while AP is still mad at him, he wants to have the chance to apologize to her for his past treatment, he is also not wild about the operation having to be preformed near his boy parts, Botel convinces him to go under the knife.
- Veronica hears the conversation crazy Marty was having with Padre Juan, she's hurt that he feels he can't trust her, Padre Juan looks like he'd rather be anywhere else but in the Santelmo hovel, he tells them they love each other and that they can work through their issues.
- Veronica and Marty argue-what else is new? She can't believe that he still does not trust her, why does he think she's a slut? Marty tries to explain that he has issues but Vero is fed up and does not stick around to hear his excuses, she goes to see Magdalena.
- Magdalena tells her to give Marty a chance, they love each other and their love will help them overcome their issues.

He steps as White Knight—his charitable deed for the day—and tells the detective to back of backbiting poor M.D. for now. Copperhead Cop says until he can prove her story she’s suspect número uno.
As for Maria Delores, how’s she going to pay? He may be a terrific attorney but she just lost her job. Skinny Boy Brotherly Friend (Julian) says he’ll take care of that and not to worry. Then he tells his story to Max.

La Sombra del Pasado, Capítulo 106 (Mx 107), 07-14-15
Short: Pato and Lola are getting
married! One of them’s happy about it. Tomás is back home and ready to do good.
Pru is proud of her mob antics. Lola tells Cris about S/V’s pregnancy and
disappearance. Eman gets arrested. He tells Don Antonio the truth about El
Solitario, but Don Toño’s on his side. PJ says Cande would be the woman of his
life…if he hadn’t become a priest. Ren(/Aldi) will press charges against Pru. Sev
forges Cris’s signature to put El Solitario back in his name so that he can
legally crush Eman.

Humberto and his shrew
Poor Humberto, I think we can all agree that his life poor choices have finally caught up with him, his wife belongs in an episode of Cheaters and his daughter, well, she needs some serious professional help. Today, Humberto's wife shows up at his clinic and tells him that she will never give him the divorce and if he moves forward she will take him to the cleaners. She also accuses him of cheating on her with Aldonza, aka, her favorite whipping boy.
Humberto tries to talk sense into her but Pru will have none of it, finally, her crazy overwhelms Humberto and he drags her out of his office, Pru, ever the evil shrew starts screaming and asking him not to hit her any more, he tells her she is out of her mind and tosses her out of the clinic. This all happens in front of a few patients, Hum apologizes and asks Blanca to send in the next patient, but having witnessed the madness that patient leaves the clinic so fast that you'd think the place was on fire- the next patient does go in to see Hum but does not look too happy at having to see Hum.

Lo Imperdonable #41 Mon 7/13/15 Can This Marriage Be Saved? - or - Crazy Marty Redux.

Manuel pulls out a long, scary knife. Yikes! He has caught Pablo outside Ana Perla's window. We've seen Manuel try to murder a man with far less provocation. (Ana Perla herself is locked up on the other side of the house and unaware of the unfolding drama.) "Kill me!" shouts Pablo, with more bravado than brains. Before Manny can oblige, the padre shows up (thank God) and separates the two men. He sends Pablo to the church and sticks around to try to talk some sense into the Manny. He warns him that his hateful ways have alienated him from God and man alike. Manny doesn't care – he'll take money over love any day. And he tells the padre to watch his back – he's tired of him meddling in his life
Inside the house, Ana Perla is still sitting in her grandfather's locked bedroom, her dinner tray on her lap, while Julio pines on the other side of the door. At last he works up the courage to tell her he loves her. Unfortunately he chooses the wrong verb in this treacherous language. Te quiero, he tells her. This leaves room for Ana Perla to respond in kind. "I love you too. Like a brother." [Oh crap, Julio. You should have gone for broke with Te amo.]

Yo No Creo En Los Hombres, Gran Estreno Monday 7/13/15
Foreword
I'm
back. Here in Mexico City where the air is hot, the margaritas
frozen, and the people at each other's throats.
A
while ago I helped tell the tale of a disappearance, a stolen
inheritance, a eunuch drug dealer, and two men in love with the same
woman. Now I'm back because I've been told there is good and evil on
both sides of the income spectrum and the men on both sides are just
as skeevy in how they treat women.
Maybe
somebody should tell them that the biggest bitch in the world is
Karma. I'm not religious, but I can believe in that.
And
while I like how easy it is to edit and copy stuff on the computer,
the heat doesn't like my computer. So if I skimp on the dialogue
from time to time that's the reason.
So
sit back, cut a slice of lime, and get out the salt and the shot
glass. This is hot off the press.

She also delivered a letter from Florencio to Maria. Can Hilda just go away? Please?

Facundo literally stumbles onto the letter from Florencio. He confronts Maria and doesn’t let her explain a thing. Fac reads the letter. Florencio is still madly in love with Maria. In the letter he asks Maria to forgive him for showing up at her house. It’s just that without her he’s nothing. He misses her and wants a second chance.
Well, Fac is not cool with that. He wants to kill Florencio. And worse...he actually accuses Maria of thinking of cheating. Oh, worse! He actually wonders if Maria was starting something with Florencio before the Carmonas left SBeC.
This earns him a well deserved slap from Maria.
Maria stands her ground. She is not a cheater. Fac finally gets it together and begs Maria to forgive him. He was talking stupid. He wants to bust his own nose for saying it.

Que Te Perdone Dios #123: Jail House Rock Meets The Never-ending Story Of Musical Chairs
The real Ximena appears right after Macaria lies that Xi’s decided to skedaddle to more fertile and rewarding climes now that Fausto’s been reduced to living on borrowed time if not embezzled/burgled assets. Macaria is WTF-seen-a-ghost impactada. Just who the hell did she kill, she wonders?
Teo exits stage left and Padre Tomas enters stage right (or maybe that’s vice versa). He wants to know if it’s true she’s expecting his child? A child that will bear the shame of being a priest’s bastardo! She says sure it is, Tommy. Why not come with me and we’ll live free and easy. No, he’ll have to talk it over with Dios first, he tells her.

In town, Marcelino and Diego are asking Comandante Barragan (who's having as hard a time keeping track of everybody turning themselves in and going to jail for some horrid crime or other as Viewerville is) for 24 hours more so that Diego can arrange his affairs before turning himself in. The Comandante says fine and that he’s arranging for Mateo to be released ASAPP.
At the same time, Simona and Toño say their good-byes. He’s going to do his time and then go to the seminary to become a priest, as we remember. Sim won’t be an Abuela, but she’ still proud of the change in Tony, drastic as it is. And, across the room, Teodora and the bald-as-a-baby’s buttocks de Max kiss good-bye. He’s goin’ in the poky as well today.
Meanwhile, Dr. Duarte explains to Renata that his agreement with Porfirio Zarazua got Pat the means of destroying Fausto once and for all in exchange for artificially inseminating Xi-ella with Dr. Pat’s sperm. He swears there was no sex involved whatsoever. Can she forgive him? Wel-l-l-l-l yes. If there’s one thing Abigail has taught her, it’s love means never having to say you’re sorry (er…wasn’t that a different novella?)--love means forgiving. And by the way, they don’t really know who is having his baby nor who he was really married to all those years. What???? Pat has no idea what she means. Ren explains that Xi has a twin sister. She knows this because she saw them with her own eyes! (Dun-dun-dun-dunnnn!)
Teodora returns home to find Ximena pretending to be Daniella needing to speak with her nephew right away! Teo explains that Max has turned himself in to do penance for keeping quiet about all the crimes he knew his daddy’d done. Danmena stops the masquerade and tells Teo to pick up her stuff and get the heck out of her home. She’s only tolerated Max’s marrying a housekeeper because she had to but now that he’s gone to jail, hopefully he’ll die of leukemia there! “—SCRAM!”

Lo Imperdonable #40 Fri 7/10/15 Cousins Doing Things Cousins Don't Do
(scenes out of order and some have been combined)
Marty has promised Vero that he'll control himself and listen to her before turning into Crazy Marty (™ NovelaMaven). (Let's take a bet - How long before he breaks his promise? I give him two days) He gets all lovey dovey with her and using his charms err kisses he's able to convince her to give him a second chance under the condition that he keeps his word and controls himself. First, Marty tells Vero that he would love to stay and be all lovey dovey with her forever. Then he tells her that he has to go work at the mine. Smooth Marty. Smooth. Before leaving, he asks Vero if things are a little better between them. Vero tells him that they are.
Emi has seen Virginia at the cantina and he isn't amused. Usch! That's just what needed - for her to come slithering to town to asphyxiate him. He sits down and serves himself a drink. Virginia explains she had to come because his parents decided to travel to Cancun earlier than expected. They would have noticed he wasn't there and realized he was in Mina Escondida. Emi thinks Virginia ratted him and she denies it. She informs him that daddy is on his way over there. From behind, Daniel watches as Virginia talks with Emi and isn't a happy camper.
Pablo has showed up unexpectedly at Blanquita and Polo's door. Blanquita is reluctant to let him come in since 1. they aren't allowed to hang out with him anymore 2. it could cause them problems with her parents and grandfather. Marty has promised Vero that he'll control himself and listen to her before turning into Crazy Marty (™ NovelaMaven). (Let's take a bet - How long before he breaks his promise? I give him two days) He gets all lovey dovey with her and using his charms err kisses he's able to convince her to give him a second chance under the condition that he keeps his word and controls himself. First, Marty tells Vero that he would love to stay and be all lovey dovey with her forever. Then he tells her that he has to go work at the mine. Smooth Marty. Smooth. Before leaving, he asks Vero if things are a little better between them. Vero tells him that they are.
Emi has seen Virginia at the cantina and he isn't amused. Usch! That's just what needed - for her to come slithering to town to asphyxiate him. He sits down and serves himself a drink. Virginia explains she had to come because his parents decided to travel to Cancun earlier than expected. They would have noticed he wasn't there and realized he was in Mina Escondida. Emi thinks Virginia ratted him and she denies it. She informs him that daddy is on his way over there. From behind, Daniel watches as Virginia talks with Emi and isn't a happy camper.
Pablo has showed up unexpectedly at Blanquita and Polo's door. Blanquita is reluctant to let him come in since 1. they aren't allowed to hang out with him anymore 2. it could cause them problems with her parents and grandfather. La Sombra del Pasado #104, 7/10/15: No cliff hanger, just more annoyance
Greetings, all! There was essentially no review tonight and we get right to Val’s confession to Cande that she shot Aldonza and only regrets she failed to kill her! Cande calls her stupid! Val’s justification is that as long as that zorra is alive Cris will never have anything to do with her! Cande counters that he certainly won’t when he finds out what she did. Val reveals that she knows Aldonza is out of the hospital: she was the one who called the front desk, not Cande. Cande demands to know where the rifle is and Val runs upstairs to get it where she’s kept it hidden.
Tomas is consulting with the statue of a saint he’s dusting
when Pru walks up and hears him talking about his latest amorous target,
Silvia. He drags her out of the church
and refuses to answer her questions about who “is robbing her of his love!” He is
decidedly cold. It’s over between
them: he tried to kill himself for her
and she didn’t even show up! He rejects
her efforts to butter and kiss him up though he asks aloud amid her
ministrations, “Why is the flesh so weak?”
Tomas gathers himself and pushes her away. Pru
tells him about Teresa “betraying them” and her threat to publish the intimate
details of their affair. Pru wants Tomas
to shut her mouth permanently! Does she
thinks he’s capable of killing someone in cold blood? Pru answers very quickly, YES! As Tomas protests while admitting he has
flaws but he would never. . .Pru meets his protests with suggestions of mayhem
of a lesser degree, like breaking her knees.
He is NOT going to touch one single hair on a woman’s head! His protests fall on deaf ears as she whips
out her wallet to give him some monetary incentive. Disgusted, Tomas finally leaves when Pru
refuses to, wiping her slime off his face as he goes.

Amores con Trampa #75 The Neanderthal is behaving even worse and Isa has found a new career for Mireya, who is not that thrilled. Rocio and Estefani bump noses... Florencio plays his last card.
Beto and Rocio repeat from Thursday. Rocio thinks marriage
is just a paper. Beto surprised but he asks of she doesn’t want to marry him.
Of course she does! He is willing to marry her anyway, even if they have to run
away like his parents did. ‘I will marry you… because I will marry you!’
Back in SBeA Florencio punches Panzon but is nice enough to
then help him with some ice on the eye and buys him a stake and sausage dinner
because Panzon said the scare made him hungry (tragon). Panzon asks if
Florencio will sit down with him but he almost gets punched again. Heck no!
Beto shows Rocio a picture of his family and says they will
make their own family. They look soooo good together! Rocio still a bit reluctant to just get
married in hiding. She asks Beto to
really think about it. Beto says once we get married we’ll just tell them and
that’s that! Rocio still thinks it’s a crazy plan. But he is the bravest guy
she’s ever met and the one that accepts her as she is and brings out the best
in her. He assures her she will be his
wife… and no one will stop that.
(smooch).
At Carmonas, its nighttime. Gusana is trying to cheer up
Jacinto. They are a bit upset they can’t see Alejandra anymore. She’s their
friend. Jacinto even mentions some
hypnosis plan. He walks around and ends
up saying its not a problem for the smarts, it’s a problem for the heart. He is
downgrading himself saying he knows nothing about issues of the heart. Gusana again tries to cheer him up. She is even willing to lie to her parents,
which would be a first for her.
In their bedroom, Maria asks Facu if they went overboard
with Beto. He says no way. We have to stay strong in our decisions. For our
family. Maria recognizes Rocio and Beto
really love each other. Facu says that’s
because you are getting close to her.
Facu even suggest Maria fire Rocio and hire a new sales help. Maria
refuses. It would be like Facu fired Felipe.
No. Facu changes the subject and
says he likes when they talk things over and get agreement. HE will never allow anyone to cause him to
lose her. We are together in this (boy,
man, you are very selective in when it is convenient to have her around).
In the Velasco bedroom, Isa has put on a white rather dated
nightie… Santee is almost losing his breath from all the perfume she put
on. She is lighting up some aromatics.
Santee is worried they will burn down ‘da house!... She keeps acting a bit strange, flirty…
Santee asks if she took more pills than usual.
She is upset, she is trying, they went together to the grocery store and
out to eat… she is trying, don’t you want us to fix our relationship? … She then tries the nose rubbing flirting…
he thinks asking her what she is pretending… she thinks a response you will
find out soon enough and you will regret having deceived me.
Back at Carmona’s, Beto is arriving, trying to make the
least noise possible but of course he runs into some things downstairs. When Beto
gets to his bedroom, Maria and Facu are there waiting for him.
When Estefani arrives in a taxi, Rocio has been waiting for
her outside and confronts her, trying to find out what she is up to. Rocio says the Carmonas are the nicest people
she knows. Estefani tells Rocio that she
is behaving just like her aunt Isa, mentioning a crystal ball like trying to
guess what everyone else thinks and plans.
Rocio still isn’t buying any of Estefani’s schemes. Tells Estefani she destroyed her aunt and
uncle’s relationship and now is trying to break up the Carmonas. It is Estefani’s turn to not buy any. Estefani cares about Maria like a sister, and
‘we both know Facundo is a man any woman would desire… but he is my ‘sister’s
man!’ Rocio affirms she is also willing
to do whatever to defend her relationship with Beto. Estefani lists her daily
tasks as Mary Poppins: help Jacinto with his incontinence, helps Gusana with
her problems at school, helps Carmen with the Ho-wanna be girls who bully her,
and even Beto with the big problem he has with his dad… precisely because he
loves you… and you will thank me. Rocio
says don’t butt in there, I will see how I solve the problem and I will defend
Beto with nails and teeth. Estefi says maybe you are too young to know
that there are problems that nails and teeth will not solve… Rocio just leaves after saying ‘you have been
warned!’ Estefi asks herself why doesn’t
anyone believe me?

- Crescencio won't allow Pablo to date Ana Perla, he is "saving" her for Eleazar; Pablo tries to plead his case, Manuel protests ..... zzzzzzzzz

Que Te Perdone Dios #122 – Meet Padre Toño, and Body Count Increases By Two
Fausto visits Mateo in jail. Mateo reviles him, says Fausto’s
blood burns in his veins. That could be West Nile virus, Mat. You should get that
checked out. There’s no doubt that Fausto is ill, though. He tells Mat that
with him in jail, the coast is clear for Fausto to have Abi, by seduction or by
force. He doesn’t care which. The point is he never se queda con las ganas, especially when he has worked so long and
hard to get something. Mat ineffectually warns him, “¡No te atrevas!” (Don’t you dare!).
Renata is awake after her two month coma! I love that the
whole ‘Renata confessing to Abigail’ scene was averted. Abi calls her mom, Ren
is happy. Dr. Apple Cheeks buts in, kind of ruining the moment, and wants to revisarla a Renata. She says she is
fine, and as we’ll see later in the episode, Dr. Pat won’t be getting close enough
for any exams any time soon. Ex-Crazy Con comes in, sees Ren awake, and hugs
are exchanged all around.
Ren is brought up to speed on Helena’s untimely passing. I
only saw the last part of last night’s episode, so I appreciated Ex-Crazy’s
recap: Mat and Diego went to confront Fausto for being their dad. Diego got loco and pulled a gun, intending to
shoot Fausto. Mat wrested the gun away, shooting Helena in the process. She
told the truth about Diego’s parentage and it cost her life. Diego left town at
Mat’s request, to keep him safe from Fausto. It’s mostly true, except that we
know that it was Diego who accidentally shot Helena.

La sombra del pasado #103 7/9/15
Valeria gives back the engagement ring. She tells Cris she'll take it back if he changes his mind. Cris responds with a rousing chorus of "We are never ever ever getting back together." Val spews some venom about Aldonza and does this flouncy dizzy spell maneuver. Cris comes running and she pouts about him faking concern. She knows she doesn't matter to him. Oh and Val, the 80s called, they want their shirt back.
Aldonza tells Adelina she's going to give Renato a try. Adelina approves. Aldonza is going to put all her effort into the relationship. Whatever.
Cris has saddled up the horse and he's going for a ride. He needs to get away from the oppressive atmosphere. All talk buddy. I would be more impressed if you were packing your bags and getting the hell out permanently. A midnight ride just ain't cuttin' it with me, Pablo Revere.

Lo viejo: Dr. Feelgood drops off Emi at the San Telmo hovel. Veronica tells him he can go. She can handle Emi and will just have to wake him up with a cup of coffee or a bucket of water. (Now why didn't she go with this Plan A, instead of trying to lug a drunken deadweight twice her size off the bed?)
Lo nuevo: Martin arrives home and notices the romantic candlelit dinner awaiting him on the table. He heads to the bedroom with a wicked smile that quickly turns to a look of rage. He picks up and punches Emi, who conveniently lands in a chair and continues sleeping. Vero tries to explain, but Martin is enraged and screaming right in her face, saying: "The whole world warned me." She asks what he is talking about. He continues: "I'm an imbecile and you are a......" She screams at him to shut up and not say something he'll be sorry about later. As he goes berserk, he accidentally head butts her squarely on her nose. (And that was clearly NOT in the script, because it was a REAL head butt. Poor Ana Brenda deserves combat pay for this scene.)

Aldonza says she and Renato have decided to date, and she'd rather do it without baggage. Cris is angry, but Aldonza says her disappointment with him killed her love. The judge calls them into his office and Cris tells Aldonza she wins…"Let's go end this farce."

Lo Imperdonable #37 Tue 7/7/15 Baby Emi has a bad bad day
Quick bullet style recap can be found below; my recaps will probably be done in this way until Sombra ends, then I'll have more time for longer, more detailed posts, enjoy!
- Emiliano makes his way to Veronica's house and quickly makes an ass of himself. Vero looks a little dirty- but that's because she's doing house work, Emiliano won't listen and berates her for living in poverty.
- Vero explains that she is in her home doing house work, that's why she's a mess, and yes maybe her hands are rough but that's because she has been doing work all work dignifies a person.
- Emi throws things. Seriously. This jackass breaks furniture in Vero's house because he feels she's not being treated like a princess. I'm not making this up. It really happened. My mouth hit the floor.
- Vero makes Emi leave.
- Emi leaves and bumps into Marty, he reads him the riot act for the way Vero is living. Marty tells him that Vero is happy and in love with him, and she's happy with her home.
- They fight.

- Previously: Despite poor Ben growing a pair of balls , Diana didnt like the smell so she jumped off a cliff barefolded much to Mac's and Ben's shock. Too bad, no early retirement for Dianaconda! Before jumping Di acts all maternal suddenly and hands over the baby.
- Present: Ben and Mac try to escape from the crime scene but unfortunately come into The Devil's cross hairs. Faust asks them what happened and dumb Mac explains it all with lies of course . Mac claims that she took the baby because Di threatened them and all was done for free but Faust doesn't believe it cause there isn't a thing Mac would do for free.

Short of it: The bishop wants to
talk to PJ. Aldonza tells PJ that the exhumation’s coming up. Don Antonio
freaks out on Eman, but Vero explains what happened and he backs off. Tomás
tries to make amends with Hum, who already knows what’s going on! Val goes
home, but doesn’t tell Pru what’s really going on. Dom and Mel return to LA.
Mari’s going to work for the Dream Team. Aldonza won’t pursue the Val/Lardo theory.
She freaks out on her wedding dress and pursues the divorce instead. Cris won’t
give it.
Super important question:
Is Cris wearing red, Converse-like sneakers when kissing Aldonza in the red
dress in the opening credits?

The End is near La Sombra del Pasado #100 07/06/2015
Here we go!
Sev walks in on Prudencia and Valeria- he heard everything and demands to know who the real father is. Val tries to make excuses, she tells him he heard wrong but he's on to her and tells her to shove it, he knows what he heard and now it is perfectly clear to him that Val is not in love with his son.
He tells her that all she wants is to take advantage of Cris and that he thought Aldonza was bad but that Val is worse. Val begs him not to compare her to Aldi- she is a better woman but Sev tells her he is not so sure about that any more and tells her that he will withdraw his support, he no longer wants Cris to marry her. Sev is on the warpath, he asks the maid where Cris is but she has no idea.
It seems like Sev is set on unmasking Val but he has an appointment that he must keep. Where is he going? Well, he is off to visit the bishop, who by the way is wearing a very fetching hat thingy in a lovely shade of hot pink. Me want. Something tells me that Sev is up to no good. Someone, hold me!

Lo Imperdonable #36 Mon 7/6/15 I'm very uncomfortable dealing with your obsession with my spouse.
This was a night devoted to the lovelorn, the lovesick, the spurned and the spiteful, and most of all, to the obsessed.
Ladies and gentleman of The Patio, I present the Claudia Show!
The good (and the not so good) folks of Mina Escondida and Pueblo Nuevo gather in El Purgatorio for the surprise they've been promised. Heeeeeeeeeeere's Claudia, singing and wiggling and glamming up the normally dreary cantina. And it's not a one shot deal. Oh no. Pierre Dussage is bankrolling her for a whole season!
Verónica and Martín realize Claudia has pulled a fast one on them. She has chosen to spend her paid vacation right here in Green Hell. They can't exactly banish her from the town. They can – and do – give her a talking to. Vero warns her to stay away from Marty or she'll be forced to show her claws. "I don't know why you're defending him," sniffs Claudia. "You know he only married you for..."
Marty quickly cuts off Claudia before she can blurt out the word "vengeance." He tells her HE LOVES VERO. If Claudia forces him to choose between their friendship and his love for his wife, well, goodbye friendship. Then he, Vero, Botel and Magdalena leave the cantina. Ouch. Claudia has been hit where it hurts – in her vanity. During her next set, she even cranks out a crocodile tear or two.
Just when everything is humming along again, and the place is all smiling faces and bobbing heads and swaying hips...
...the music dies.

Que Te Perdone Dios Capitulo 119- Discussion

Sorry but today apparently there wont be any recap because the episode is not up yet on my sources ( Although it should be because it always comes up on mornings grrr, I want to dismantle someone's brakes or whip someone up brutally just like Fausto!) . Univision has it but I am geolocked so I don't have access to it. If anyone is able to remember what happened please post it in the comment section below. If the episode gets posted or I get some good VPN then I might be able to do the recap.
I did watch a scene in which Diana gets her eyeballs cut off ( By Fausto The Vicious Heartbreaker) though. She later kills herself by jumping across a cliff but not before handing the baby to Boring Benito ( She must have kidnapped the child or something). Also I have to say that I have been disgusted by that one scene alone, Fausto is a true stinking MONSTER. Pedro Medina compared to Satan Lopez Guerra is a whiny, pompous wimp ( I am sure though that Angeli Nesma Medina will surprise us with a butcher that is 100x worse . Perhaps she will remake Mariana De La Noche but I wonder which actor is fit to be the next butcher)

- Everyone frets about Renata at the hospital. Mat arrives and joins Pat in surgery. Abi gives Mat the amulet Mel once made for Ren and Pablo and later gave to Abi. He puts it in Ren's hand. Much later Pat and Mat emerge and tell everyone Ren survived but is in a coma. Both Abi and Connie break down.
- While at the hospital: Barragan admits to Abi that he's her grandpa. They hug and cry. Abi admits to Diego that Fausto is Mat's dad. Connie spills to Abi some of the truth of how Bruno stole Abi from Ren, enlisted Mac, and strong-armed Ren into accepting the godmother role. She does this because Fausto arrives (and somehow doesn't get punched or arrested for having recently tried to rape Abi), and starts to badmouth Ren. Otherwise, everyone keeps telling Abi to wait until Ren is awake and can tell her the whole story. Frustrating!
- The police take their sweet time going after Diana. By the time they do, she's enlisted Mac to help her steal her baby and hide them in Pablo's shack. Fausto later arrives, and Diana whines about having just met yet another of his lovers, Ximena. Fausto sets her straight. He never loved her or any other woman. The only woman he's ever loved is Renata, and his fascination with Abi is simply because she's Ren's daughter. Diana hurt the woman he loves and now she must pay. He starts to strangle her. The baby cries. She asks for mercy for her son's sake. He grants it. He doesn't kill her, but instead gouged out her eyes with his knife.
- Benito decides to grow a pair, and strong arms Mac into taking him to Diana, since everyone knows she helped her take the baby. They find Diana bloody, blinded, and blindfolded, carrying the baby and wandering around searching for help. Unfortunately, she's wandered to the edge of the cliff. Benito warns her, she hands him the baby, warns horrified Mac that this is the fate that awaits her with Fausto, and lets herself fallback and off the cliff.
- Meanwhile, Mat and Diego are also out searching and Mat tells him how he learned Fausto was his dad, when about to kill him after he tried to rape Abi. Now it's Diego who looks murderous.
- Barragan and the police arrive at the Montero house looking for Diana. Instead they find drunk Antonio who admits to killing Lucio.

Diana stumbles around a cliff, blindfolded & with the baby and no eyes. For some reason, Macaria & Benito are also hanging out at this cliff and see Diana stumbling towards the edge. Benito begs Diana to give him the baby and to come back from the edge. Diana refuses and stumbles some more around the edge of the cliff. Diana gives Benito the baby and tells Macaria Fausto has something in store for her too. Then Diana gives a dramatic monologue about how she loved the baby & Benito needs to tell the baby & Mateo she defended him with all her heart and then she takes a leap off the cliff.

Sorry but today apparently there wont be any recap because the episode is not up yet on my sources ( Although it should be because it always comes up on mornings grrr, I want to dismantle someone's brakes or whip someone up brutally just like Fausto!) . Univision has it but I am geolocked so I don't have access to it. If anyone is able to remember what happened please post it in the comment section below. If the episode gets posted or I get some good VPN then I might be able to do the recap.
I did watch a scene in which Diana gets her eyeballs cut off ( By Fausto The Vicious Heartbreaker) though. She later kills herself by jumping across a cliff but not before handing the baby to Boring Benito ( She must have kidnapped the child or something). Also I have to say that I have been disgusted by that one scene alone, Fausto is a true stinking MONSTER. Pedro Medina compared to Satan Lopez Guerra is a whiny, pompous wimp ( I am sure though that Angeli Nesma Medina will surprise us with a butcher that is 100x worse . Perhaps she will remake Mariana De La Noche but I wonder which actor is fit to be the next butcher)

- Everyone frets about Renata at the hospital. Mat arrives and joins Pat in surgery. Abi gives Mat the amulet Mel once made for Ren and Pablo and later gave to Abi. He puts it in Ren's hand. Much later Pat and Mat emerge and tell everyone Ren survived but is in a coma. Both Abi and Connie break down.
- While at the hospital: Barragan admits to Abi that he's her grandpa. They hug and cry. Abi admits to Diego that Fausto is Mat's dad. Connie spills to Abi some of the truth of how Bruno stole Abi from Ren, enlisted Mac, and strong-armed Ren into accepting the godmother role. She does this because Fausto arrives (and somehow doesn't get punched or arrested for having recently tried to rape Abi), and starts to badmouth Ren. Otherwise, everyone keeps telling Abi to wait until Ren is awake and can tell her the whole story. Frustrating!
- The police take their sweet time going after Diana. By the time they do, she's enlisted Mac to help her steal her baby and hide them in Pablo's shack. Fausto later arrives, and Diana whines about having just met yet another of his lovers, Ximena. Fausto sets her straight. He never loved her or any other woman. The only woman he's ever loved is Renata, and his fascination with Abi is simply because she's Ren's daughter. Diana hurt the woman he loves and now she must pay. He starts to strangle her. The baby cries. She asks for mercy for her son's sake. He grants it. He doesn't kill her, but instead gouged out her eyes with his knife.
- Benito decides to grow a pair, and strong arms Mac into taking him to Diana, since everyone knows she helped her take the baby. They find Diana bloody, blinded, and blindfolded, carrying the baby and wandering around searching for help. Unfortunately, she's wandered to the edge of the cliff. Benito warns her, she hands him the baby, warns horrified Mac that this is the fate that awaits her with Fausto, and lets herself fallback and off the cliff.
- Meanwhile, Mat and Diego are also out searching and Mat tells him how he learned Fausto was his dad, when about to kill him after he tried to rape Abi. Now it's Diego who looks murderous.
- Barragan and the police arrive at the Montero house looking for Diana. Instead they find drunk Antonio who admits to killing Lucio.

Amores con trampa #71 y #72 7/6/15 and 7/7/15
I love this show so stinkin' much.
I have to warn the patio--I didn't get my nap time today and I'm feeling lazy....so it's mainly going to be a quick out-of-order run through.
Estefy moves into the Carmonas. Rocio drops the “she was my Tio’s lover” bomb and Maria seems to already know all about it. In fact, she says she and Estefy have already talked about it. What say you Vivi? Did this happen? Despite Fac’s protests, Maria puts her foot down. Estefy stays.
Santi finds out the next day when he runs into Estefy outside the Carmonas. Isa finds out, too. Estefy swears Maria is her best friend and that she will defend her tooth and nail. Isa says “What teeth? Those are veneers.” AND DESCOCADA ENDED UP IN THIS CONVO TOO!!!
Back at the Velascos, Isa thinks Santi asked his “friend” Maria to invite Estefy to stay.
Honestly, Estefy doesn’t turn out to be a horrible houseguest and I’m still left wondering if there’s a redemption in her future. Now you are probably saying, “Sara. Are you half chiflada? Didn’t you see that scene where Estefy threw her half clad body at Fac?” I did, dear reader, I did. And I agree that was not cool. Perpetua was correct in telling Estefy to cover up and to later provide her with more appropriate sleepwear. I secretly hope we actually see Estefy in that sack.

Doin' Time For Crime 'N Other Criminal Pacts
Abigail tells Renata that there is nothing in the world she wouldn’t forgive. Ren’s happy to hear that. Let’s hope she doesn’t forget that in the future and that Abi doesn’t feel she has to eat her words later on. Abi also mentions that she knows Macaria is not her real mother. She says Mac made sure to tell her that she was just some orphan left on the streets. Ren is angry to hear it and finally has the courage to tell her daughter not to believe one word more that comes out of that woman’s mouth. She was NOT taken off the streets somewhere. If she wants to know the whole truth then she’ll tell it all to her the next morning at the river where she and Pablo began their love affair and where, for Abigail, it all began. She doesn’t want anyone else to hear them.

La Sombra del Pasado #99, 7-3-15 Baby Bomb Bombs!
Hey, y’all! I am so glad to be back with y’all on the patio. Thank you, Diva, for covering for me last Friday and thank you to all my awesome teammates: Diva, Eli, Hellashelle and Sweet Baby Chihuahuas for the past two weeks of recaps of some exciting episodes. I so missed hanging out with y’all but I’m back now with not quite a blockbuster episode but anyhoo, here it is!
Padre Jeronimo, he of the iron halo, thanks Ren and Silvia
for that brilliant sting and take-down of Sev’s evil plot to destroy PJ with an
accusation of sexually abusing and impregnating a young, mute girl. PJ doesn’t want to press charges: it won’t do any good. He wants to trap Sev in something much
bigger, more important; something that will show the whole town who Sev really
is! PJ knows that this fight against Sev
in the long run might cost him his life but he can’t let Sev get away with his
arrogant and cynical treatment of the town as if it’s his own tool to use as he
wishes. Silvia and Ren pledge their
unconditional support!
Adelina sits holding a picture of Raymundo and we are whisked
with her to the terrible night of Raymundo’s murder. Roberta is wearing red, but it’s not festive or sexy red, but the not yet
dried blood of . . .who, her lover, Sev, or her husband, Raymundo, mortally
wounded after she shot him in the back?
Roberta feigns surprise at Jock’s recent announcement that Ray had died
in an automobile crash. Adelina slapped
Roberta hard and wished her and her damned lover a quick trip to hell. In fact, she was going to the police! Adelina confessed her love of Raymundo and cursed
the day he married Roberta who stops her at the door and falls to her knees to
beg Adelina not to tell. Back in the
present Adelina repeats “it was my fault, my fault.” Dominga, ever ready with comfort startles
Adelina who asks Dominga to pay her no mind.
Ay, what a tragedy was Raymundo’s life, so young with a new baby. The worst part of it is, Adelina intones looking
at the picture, is that it could have been prevented.

Tough Love (Or Twisting The Knife?)
Jorge visits Emi in his room. He doesn't want Emi to feel like he's being treated as if he were an adolescent. Although we on The Patio know that he's been behaving like one. Jorge wants sonny boy to understand that they're worried about him. Emi like a true addict denies that he's an alcoholic. Yes, it's true that he's been drinking a lot lately. But that will pass. These days will mark the difference. Whatever that means. Jorge knows the real reason behind Emi's drinking. Emi thought it'd be easier getting over Vero but it hasn't been easy. Jorge doesn't want to hurt him more, but he has to show him Vero's fax. That way Emi will understand once and for all that he must leave her in the past.
The fax lets Emi know that Marty is doing better and Vero is happy. Emi crumples up the fax and Jorge tells Emi to not think that he doesn't understand his pain. It would drive Jorge crazy if he had to be away from Salma (foreshadowing perhaps?). But Emi's relationship with Veronica never started so it'll be easier to start over again with someone else. Emi doesn't think the same -- he'll never love anyone else.

Gusana and Ale… talking about Andres… while grilling some
meat.
Mireya and Esteban argue about Isa. Este says Isa looks
better instead of worse so the treatment isn’t working. Mireya claims it
is. Isa is ABOUT TO fall apart. She will suffer a terrible crisis. Esteban questions it… what he sees is Isa is
more smart… even more beautiful. He
wants results! How is Mireya with Santee?
Este shows very impatient. He needs to see Isa and Santee split and
Santee sunk in despair. Isa calls
Mireya. Este tells Mireya to agree to a
meeting. He is running out of patience. He needs Isa locked in a nut-house
ASAP.
Back at the grill, Jacinto and a couple young redhead boys
(the ones that bullied him early on at school are now going to be good to him,
per what Jacinto says) join the girls.
Gusana not so quick to trust them. The boys walk away. The twin boys
have a plan of their own.. I guess their turnaround is not so.
At office, Santee arrives at Facu’s office with a suitcase…
make that two suitcases. He opens them for Facu. They are FULL OF MONEY!! Santee says it is the worst humiliation he
ever had to suffer at a bank. As if he had a farmers market stand… Facu mocks
him a bit since he once DID have a farmers market stand. Santee says never
mind, here’s your money bill by bill.
Facu reminds him it is money he loaned him the same way, bill by bill.
Santee does not want to remember the past, but Facu does. Facu would not trust Santee further than he
could throw him. Facu is hungry, he is
about to order food while they count the money by hand. Facu even will pay for Santee’s food… Santee
reacts as if it were a tragedy.
At Mireya’s office, Isa has arrived. Isa whines that at home
things are ok… the pills have worked well. But she gets cross-eyed and asks
Mireya for help. Mireya serves Isa some
wine to give her another pill.
Back at The Carmonas, Carmen has joined the girls by the
pool. The party is going well so far, they comment. Francis arrives. And starts annoying
Carmen. Diego and Feli along with the
shadow girls arrive. The boys both have
something for Carmen and they reach in front of Francis to give it to her at
unison, causing a cup of drink to spill right on Francis face and outfit. They all laugh it off except Francis, who is
offended, as always.
Back to Mireya’s office… Isa gets real upset… Mireya asks if
she has been taking the pills. Isa says
she can’t drink so much because her kids are watching and nagging her for
it. Mireya says the treatment only works
after 3 weeks. Isa says its been 4 weeks. Mireya says you gotta be
patient. And serves her another glass of
drink. Mireya sends Isa home to rest. Isa
gets some twitches on her neck but thanks Mireya for her help, you are better
than all other therapies, yoga, mantras, etc.
She leaves very happy.

Weekend Discussion: Life Imitates Art Imitates Life? Revisited
Note: This is a re-publishing of an August 2013 discussion that I think is relevant because I wonder to what degree the outdated attitudes get revived in remake after remake. Inspired by a line of dialogue in last night's episode of LSdP.
Do you think that telenovelas reflect or influence human behavior? A good friend of long standing is under the bizarre impression that in order to have a massively passionate relationship one must also have insane conflict. I had so many conversations with him during fights and estrangements with various girlfriends from college until his marriage and after his divorce that sounded like novela fights and reconciliations (and he not only isn't Hispanic, he doesn't even watch them).
Last weekend I watched The Godfather, Part III and found an article by a British journalist that discussed the difficulties the studio had with the real mob during production of the original film. Once they settled their issues and the film debuted something interesting allegedly happened: Real mobsters began addressing their leaders as "Don" and "Dons" became "Godfathers." The characters on HBO's hit series The Sopranos regarded these films as the bible of Mafia etiquette.
BTW, as an aside, I know that the original Godfather film was a hit in Mexico; in a 2001 novela it was named by a series protagonist as his favorite film. And El Padrino of QBA looks like he has something of a Vito Corleone complex.
Added: Do you think outdated attitudes are revived or reviled? Do you think that the PSA tendencies of novela writers can influence future behavior?

Lo Imperdonable #34 Thu 7/2/15
Skipping the old.........
Emiliano is throwing himself a pity party and in walks Matilde. She advises him it's time to get over this love of Veronica. But I can't he shouts! Why do I always have to lose those that I love? First my mother. You know how much I suffered.
Marina has taken a trip to delusional land and believes Pablo just needs some time away to concentrate on his painting. Virginia hopes she isn't confused and that they actually broke up. She'll believes she just rushed the wedding plans. She changes the subject and invites her to go with her to Cancun tomorrow. She's going with Emiliano. Marina wants all the details.
Veronica and Martin make out.
Emiliano thanks Matilde for always being there for him and loving him when he lost his mother. Matilde thinks that with the loss of Veronica, his old wounds of losing his mother have reopened. But life continues....of course it continues replies Emiliano. I do not or will not resign myself. This love is stronger then me and it's killing me. I prefer to die then to throw in the towel. Life took away the love of my mother and now the only woman I can ever love. If I can't recoup Veronica, I will never love again! Way to throw a good-old fashion big boy tantrum! Salma comes in to put a stop to this non-sense. She orders Matilde to leave which Emiliano quickly reminds his mother not to speak to her that way in front of him. Salma apologizes as Matilde leaves.
Veronica and Martin surface from the make out session. He starts to plan their day. He promises to take her to the hotel so that she can send a fax to her family. He playfully gets jealous about Pierre but she reminds him that she only has eyes for him. She can't believe how happy she is. They pledge their love for each other.
Raymunda apologizes to Joaquin for what she told him. It was wrong of her. She's just worried over her father and Ana Perla. She's so young and innocent. I don't want the same thing to happen to her that happened to my aunt. He understands. They are his family too. She says he is the best of the best.
Ana Perla assures her grandfather and brother that she herself will stay in her room. Forever. She has no wish to leave. I just want to die. Her grandfather gets up to go after her but Manuel stops him. He reminds his grandfather that he can't let her do what she wants. Crescencio asks if Manuel if he has ever seen anyone circling Ana Perla. The only one I see sniffing around her is that foreigner replies Manuel. The only that attacked me at the bar. And you are the one that allowed him into this house.
Every woman wants a woman that takes care of them, protects them and loves them says Raymunda. The only thing I ask of you is time. Let us wait until my father is better before we talk to him.
More lovey dovey stuff from the love birds as Veronica is cooking Martin dinner.
Magdalena begs her daughter to forgive her for what she must have suffered at the hands of her father before her death. If I live, it's to remember you. Years of looking for you and to find your tomb. I can't resign myself to your death. I believe you are still alive. Magdalena walks into the living room and finds Nanciyaga crying on the couch. Nanci says the white woman will not allow her to serve the patron. She was told she was free today. She doesn't want to be away from the patron. Magdalena understands she cares for her patron but she's not doing it in the correct way. What you have is jealously. And if you continue feeling that way, you cannot continue living in that house. He is married. Nanci says the only thing she understands is that she needs to care for the patron and flees the house.
Martin tells Veronica that if only he has known she has cooked so well the day they met, he would have married her then. Veronica laughs and says her nana taught her all her secrets. Martin inquires after Nanci. Veronica says she gave her the day off but Nanci wasn’t too happy. I am grateful to her for saving you life and she is a nice person but she seems a bit impulsive with you. I don't feel comfortable around her. Martin thinks the white woman is jealous. Don't you know I only have eyes for you? I know replies Veronica with a smile. But sometimes it's uncomfortable living with her. Martin says he will talk to her and dismiss her but admits he wouldn't like to do it. Veronica couldn't do that. She owes her for saving his life and for her happiness. She will try and explain that they will need privacy. He's ready to go to town but she wants to stop at Magdalena's house first. She feels a deep affection for her but can't really explain why. I feel like she's mine somehow. Like a mother.
Pierre strolls back to his hotel from wherever he came from. He spots Teo outside brooding over some papers he's holding. Teo tells Pierre it's a letter Pablo gave him to deliver to Ana Perla before his departure. He just doesn't know if he should deliver it or not. He heard Pablo had a girlfriend. Pierre is outraged that Teo didn't do the bidding of one of his guests and quickly fires him on the spot.
After Daniel checks out crabby Crescencio, he informs him to stay away from alcohol, coffee and cigars. He must take things with calm and take all his medications. Crescencio doesn't understand what all the fuss is about. Daniel advises him to head to the capital. He has a severe heart problem and if not corrected, could lead to death.
Teo begs for his job back. Ever since his father died after a mine accident, Pierre has been like a father to him. Pierre agrees to give him a chance but understand once and for all he cannot decide for others. Let Ana Perla make her own decisions on what she wants. Now run and give her the letter!
Blanquita and Polo are not happy that their grandfather will not allow them to see Ana Perla. Polo has a little trick up his sleeve to be able to communicate with her. Teo rushes up and Blanquita wants to know where the fire is? Teo says he has a letter to deliver to Ana Perla but Polo says it's going to be difficult since she's grounded. Teo gives it to Blanquita but begs her not to tell her grandfather that he is helping the foreigner. She looks at the letter and finds out that the letter is dated days ago. He admits he's had it since the painter left and has just been holding onto it. Blanquita rips him a new one. She will never forgive him for allowing her cousin to suffer for days not knowing anything from the painter. Now she really never wants to see Teo again.
Julio, the ever faithful servant, comes in to inquire on Crescencio's wellfare. He says it seems he's the only one to care about his health. His grandchildren could care less. He asks Julio if it's so bad that he wants to marry his granddaughter off with someone of his choosing? Julio doesn't think it's his position to opinion, but doesn' want Ana Perla to be in danger. That is exactly what I say replies Crescencio. But she needs to be happy also replies Julio. I have never seen her so unhappy. You have to be careful because there are those that say that some die from sadness.
Veronica tells Teo she needs to send a fax. Teo says there is something wrong with the connection and Martin offers to take a look at it. When he disappears behind the counter, Pierre sounds up. He takes her hand and gives it a kiss. He reminds her about their agreed trip down to the river. He would love to complete his promise to her now that his boat is fixed. Suddenly Martin stands up from behind the counter and gives Pierre the stink eye. Teo cringes behind the counter.
Ana Perla is in her room crying when Crescencio walks in. He tells her she is what he loves most in this world. Then why can you not allow me to choose my own husband so I can be happy she asks. At your age, happiness is misunderstood replies Crescencio. Marriage must have security. Happiness comes with children. Did you not love my grandmother when you married her questions Ana Perla. That was different replies Crescencio. How so she asks. Love has always been the same through all of time. Otherwise no one would have written such beautiful accounts of it. Those stories are just that. Stories says Crescencio. Reality is what I tell you. If I need to choose your husband, it's to insure your security. Many will circle you because I am the richest in the region. There are those that will want to be with me because they love me replies Ana Perla. Crescencio reminds her he's doing this for her well-being. She reminds him that there is no guarantee that everything will turn out alright. You cannot go around fixing my life and my errors. I can at least find a man that will always be at your side, protect you and take care of everything I leave you he replies. If that is what worries you, then don't leave me a cent says Ana Perla. Leave it all to my brother and cousins. He tells her to stop arguing. Nothing will change his mind. I will not be here forever and when I die I want to know I have someone to take care of you.
Pierre tells Martin it's good to see him but Martin calls him on his BS. Pierre says he was just telling Martin's wife about the boat.....Martin tells him he knows what he was saying. Pierre offers to lend them his boat and Martin decides to take him up on his offer. They can continue to enjoy their honeymoon as he shows a lot of PDA in front of Pierre. Martin wants to know how much Pierre will change them to use the boat but he wont hear of it. Martin insists and Veronica leaves the pissing match to send a fax. Martin again asks how much?
Salma can't believe just because Veronica turned him down, Emiliano is going to forgo love forever. He wonders why she never accepted his love for Veronica. She thanks him as he walks away. Martin mimmicks Pierre as Veronica gives him the stink eye. She's not happy that Claudia is returning. He tells her not to worry. He promised to make her happy and that is exactly what he is going to do. Stop thinking about that and let's enjoy the day. More PDA as Pierre walks in on them.
Blanquita and Polo are trying to figure out how to get the letter to Ana Perla. A vendor selling pastries comes by and Polo has an idea.
Emiliano is in the gun range when Nicholas shows up. Emiliano apologizes for his rude behavior. Nicholas advises him to forget about Veronica and drinking. Emiliano says he will but not now. He has made arrangements to go to Mina Escondida tomorrow. I will leave everything done at work. I promise not to do anything stupid. I just want to make sure she is happy.
Salma joins Virginia and Marina at the club. Marina has to leave. She's going home to tell mommy dearest she's leaving tomorrow for Cancun with Virginia. Salma tells Virginia the only reason she allowed her to leave early with Emiliano to Cancun is because she knew that she would behave like a lady. Of course I would says Virginia. Sex comes after marriage and not before. That is why I invited Marina to go with us. I wanted everything to be appropriate. That makes me happy says Salma. The maid brings Ana Perla some lunch. She declines but maid insists that she have the sandwiches that her cousins brought her. Ana Perla gets the hint and opens them up to find a letter from Pablo. She reads the fax that he has done what he promised. He is now free. She finds out he gets back today.
The love birds take a nice trip on the river. She thanks him for behaving around Pierre. He doesn't want to talk about Pierre and enjoy the day.
Pablo says he's coming back so they can get married. He will do anything to defend their love. She's happy but wonders what will she do about her grandfather?
More happy time with the love birds. Lunching, laughter, kissing and frockling in the water.
Pablo has returned. Claudia walks in the door and receives a warm greeting from Pierre. She inquires about Martin and his welfare. Pierre a little down on hearing her mention him says all is well with him. She asks to be taken to her room and she is whisked away. Pablo finds out from Teo that Ana Perla is grounded and no one can see her. Pablo insists he has to see her. Teo says it's too dangerous and especially at night. If her grandfather will kill you if he catches you. Pablo smiles that beautiful smile and asks if her grandfather would really kill him?
Crescencio is glad that Ana Perla has decided to come out of her room and join him for dinner. She has decided to leave her room because she did nothing wrong. So it means nothing that you escaped asks Crescencio. I didn't escape, I just didn't want to continue arguing with you replies Ana Perla. All this time in my room gave me a chance to reflect on things. I'm glad you have decided to get married says Crescencio. This way it will cause less headaches for us all. I have not changed my mind on that says Ana Perla. I cannot keep quiet anymore. I cannot marry anyone else, because my heart already has an owner. It is Pablo, the painter.
Teo tells Pablo that Crescencio ordered one of Raymunda's old suitors murdered. Are you telling me this to scare me asks Pablo. I swear this is true says Teo. That is why people are afraid of him. Just wait until she tells you to come see her. He finally agrees for her.
Salma thinks Jorge was right and they should have sent Emiliano to a rehab facility. Virginia doesn't agree. She doesn't think Emiliano has a problem.

She'll believes she just rushed the wedding plans. She changes the subject and invites her to go with her to Cancun tomorrow. She's going with Emiliano. Marina wants all the details.

Emiliano thanks Matilde for always being there for him and loving him when he lost his mother. Matilde thinks that with the loss of Veronica, his old wounds of losing his mother have reopened. Veronica and Martin surface from the make out session. He starts to plan their day. He promises to take her to the hotel so that she can send a fax to her family. He playfully gets jealous about Pierre but she reminds him that she only has eyes for him. She can't believe how happy she is. They pledge their love for each other.
Raymunda apologizes to Joaquin for what she told him. It was wrong of her. She's just worried over her father and Ana Perla. She's so young and innocent. I don't want the same thing to happen to her that happened to my aunt. He understands. They are his family too. She says he is the best of the best.
Ana Perla assures her grandfather and brother that she herself will stay in her room. Forever. She has no wish to leave. I just want to die. Her grandfather gets up to go after her but Manuel stops him. He reminds his grandfather that he can't let her do what she wants. Crescencio asks if Manuel if he has ever seen anyone circling Ana Perla. The only one I see sniffing around her is that foreigner replies Manuel. The only that attacked me at the bar. And you are the one that allowed him into this house.
Every woman wants a woman that takes care of them, protects them and loves them says Raymunda. The only thing I ask of you is time. Let us wait until my father is better before we talk to him.

Magdalena begs her daughter to forgive her for what she must have suffered at the hands of her father before her death. If I live, it's to remember you. Years of looking for you and to find your tomb. I can't resign myself to your death. I believe you are still alive. Magdalena walks into the living room and finds Nanciyaga crying on the couch. Nanci says the white woman will not allow her to serve the patron. She was told she was free today. She doesn't want to be away from the patron. Magdalena understands she cares for her patron but she's not doing it in the correct way. What you have is jealously. And if you continue feeling that way, you cannot continue living in that house. He is married. Nanci says the only thing she understands is that she needs to care for the patron and flees the house.
Martin tells Veronica that if only he has known she has cooked so well the day they met, he would have married her then. Veronica laughs and says her nana taught her all her secrets. Martin inquires after Nanci. Veronica says she gave her the day off but Nanci wasn’t too happy. I am grateful to her for saving you life and she is a nice person but she seems a bit impulsive with you. I don't feel comfortable around her. Martin thinks the white woman is jealous. Don't you know I only have eyes for you? I know replies Veronica with a smile. But sometimes it's uncomfortable living with her. Martin says he will talk to her and dismiss her but admits he wouldn't like to do it. Veronica couldn't do that. She owes her for saving his life and for her happiness. She will try and explain that they will need privacy. He's ready to go to town but she wants to stop at Magdalena's house first. She feels a deep affection for her but can't really explain why. Pierre strolls back to his hotel from wherever he came from. He spots Teo outside brooding over some papers he's holding. Teo tells Pierre it's a letter Pablo gave him to deliver to Ana Perla before his departure. He just doesn't know if he should deliver it or not. He heard Pablo had a girlfriend. Pierre is outraged that Teo didn't do the bidding of one of his guests and quickly fires him on the spot.
After Daniel checks out crabby Crescencio, he informs him to stay away from alcohol, coffee and cigars. He must take things with calm and take all his medications. Crescencio doesn't understand what all the fuss is about. Daniel advises him to head to the capital. He has a severe heart problem and if not corrected, could lead to death.
Teo begs for his job back. Ever since his father died after a mine accident, Pierre has been like a father to him. Pierre agrees to give him a chance but understand once and for all he cannot decide for others. Let Ana Perla make her own decisions on what she wants. Now run and give her the letter!
Blanquita and Polo are not happy that their grandfather will not allow them to see Ana Perla. Polo has a little trick up his sleeve to be able to communicate with her. Teo rushes up and Blanquita wants to know where the fire is? Teo says he has a letter to deliver to Ana Perla but Polo says it's going to be difficult since she's grounded. Teo gives it to Blanquita but begs her not to tell her grandfather that he is helping the foreigner. She looks at the letter and finds out that the letter is dated days ago. He admits he's had it since the painter left and has just been holding onto it. Blanquita rips him a new one. She will never forgive him for allowing her cousin to suffer for days not knowing anything from the painter. Now she really never wants to see Teo again.
Julio, the ever faithful servant, comes in to inquire on Crescencio's wellfare. He says it seems he's the only one to care about his health. His grandchildren could care less. He asks Julio if it's so bad that he wants to marry his granddaughter off with someone of his choosing? Julio doesn't think it's his position to opinion, but doesn' want Ana Perla to be in danger. That is exactly what I say replies Crescencio. But she needs to be happy also replies Julio. I have never seen her so unhappy. You have to be careful because there are those that say that some die from sadness.
Veronica tells Teo she needs to send a fax. Teo says there is something wrong with the connection and Martin offers to take a look at it. When he disappears behind the counter, Pierre sounds up. He takes her hand and gives it a kiss. He reminds her about their agreed trip down to the river. He would love to complete his promise to her now that his boat is fixed. Suddenly Martin stands up from behind the counter and gives Pierre the stink eye. Teo cringes behind the counter.
Ana Perla is in her room crying when Crescencio walks in. He tells her she is what he loves most in this world. Then why can you not allow me to choose my own husband so I can be happy she asks. At your age, happiness is misunderstood replies Crescencio. Marriage must have security. Happiness comes with children. Did you not love my grandmother when you married her questions Ana Perla. That was different replies Crescencio. How so she asks. Love has always been the same through all of time. Otherwise no one would have written such beautiful accounts of it. Those stories are just that. Stories says Crescencio. Reality is what I tell you. If I need to choose your husband, it's to insure your security. Crescencio reminds her he's doing this for her well-being. She reminds him that there is no guarantee that everything will turn out alright. You cannot go around fixing my life and my errors. Martin wants to know how much Pierre will change them to use the boat but he wont hear of it. Martin insists and Veronica leaves the pissing match to send a fax. Martin again asks how much?

Que Te Perdone Dios #117 – Revelations, Slaps and Fists, No Anvils Yet
Refry: Diego makes himself a third wheel at Mateo and Abi’s
lake encounter. Diego accuses Mat of aprovechándose
de ella, which could mean forcing himself on her or just taking advantage of
the circumstances, which I suppose would be her willingness and desire to be
with him. They start hitting each other.
Toño is still pointing the gun at Daddy Julio, who
tents his fingers calmly and waits out Toño’s rant about taking advantage of the
spinsters. Then, without so much as wrinkling his blue, three-piece, pinstriped
suit, he delivers a masterful beatdown of Toño, to Toño. The son has not yet
surpassed the father, that’s for sure, and Lucio turns in his grave at the
sorry antics of 2.0. Toño has had this coming. Not necessarily from Julio, but
Toño had it coming for a long time now.

Padre's Plan and Ren's Ruse
Padre confronts Sev about Nazaria's nefarious accusation. Sev's plan didn't work. Nazaria has a conscience and she's decided not to take Sev's money. So nyah!
Little does Sev know it's ALL A LIE and he play right into Ren's ruse (We all know this was Silvia, but I needed the alliteration.)
Padre leaves Las Animas and heads straight to the law offices of Silvia and Those Other Two. Pato will follow Sev. Sev leads Pato right to Nazaria's hiding place. Pato reports Sev's location. Silvia and Ren head out!

- Diana blackmails Renata. She wants Renata to sign over all her land and money to Fausto and leave—leaving Diana to marry Fausto. If Renata doesn’t do this, Diana will tell Abi the truth that Renata is her mama. Instead of telling Diana to go take a flying leap, Renata gets all agitated at the thought of Abi learning the truth. Ex-Crazy Connie comes in at the tail end and tells Diana off. She then tries to shake some sense into her cowardly daughter. She can’t give up her property/money, and she HAS to tell Abi the truth NOW. Ren still can’t be moved, so Connie says SHE’LL tell Abi the truth!
- Daniela tells Ximena that she killed Porfirio for her, and hands her his phantom mask. Daniela wants Ximena to be the one to leave for a change, and wants to take on Xi’s life for good. Ximena scoffs that Dani could never be more than a cheap imitation of her. There is only ONE Ximena. They both leave to run their errands, seemingly unconcerned that they are appearing in town at the same time.
- Daniela goes to see Patricio at his home and asks for reassurance that the child she is carrying is his and not Porfirio’s. Pat wearily confirms that he is the sperm donor. Daniela then gets all clingy, making it seem that now that she’s a bereaved widow, PAT should be the one to take on the role of daddy. Pat says that wasn’t the agreement. He explains that Porf was supposed to help him destroy Fausto in exchange for his sperm, but now that Porf is dead, Pat is out of luck. In any case, he thinks Xim-ela should take her baby and all the money she got from dead Porf, and leave town and his life for good. While he gets her some water, Xim-ela answers his phone, and tells a shocked Renata that she and Pat don’t want to be disturbed.
- Meanwhile, Ximena visits Fausto in his new home, La Enramada. Macaria sees them sucking face and isn’t pleased. She is less pleased to have to take orders from Ximena and be treated like a servant. Ximena insults Mac’s coffee, and makes it clear to her that Fausto would never take a lowly servant like her seriously. He’s just using her to satisfy an itch. Later, when Mac confronts Fausto about Ximena, he uses that old Fausto magic, and his moustache-dominated kisses, to get Mac back under control.
- Ximena informs Fausto that he’s lucky Porf is dead since Fausto owed so many debts to Porf. She crows about how SHE will inherit ALL of Porf’s money since he changed his will and left Max out of it. She tells Fausto that Max knows too much about him, and is a threat Fausto should eliminate. She offers to help him with his Renata divorce problem by making sure Padre doesn’t continue with the annulment proceedings. Later, we see one of the twins in the Church crying. We can’t tell who it is because her necklace is covered. The Padre sees and lends a sympathetic listening ear.
- Diana goes to Barragan and confesses than her brother Julian is really her escaped convict cousin Julio. He was blackmailing her with that photo he took of her and Lucio to keep her quiet, and now he’s conning two women. Meanwhile, Motor is telling Toño about how Julian is conning and has married BOTH sisters. They have to do something about it. Toño goes to his daddy’s house, points a gun at him, and tells him he has to leave the sisters alone, and get the hell out of town, NOW!
-Abi and Mateo hang out at the favorite watering hole, chatting, reaffirming their love, swimming, making out, and then ultimately doing the deed on the riverbank. Unfortunately, Diego, who has been breaking Nieves’ heart and being delusional about Abi’s love for him, spots the two lovers. He’s impactado, and so are they when they realize he has seen them.
- Julio/an convinces both sisters separately to go to the notary to sign over control of their sister's portion on their assets to him. Now they have each signed over half of their fortune to him, meaning he now has it ALL. He's on the phone talking to the Hand about making their escape when Toño comes in with his gun.

La Sombra del Pasado #97 - Wed 7/1 - Partially-thwarted plans
Yep, Val's knocked up. And it's all big bad Cris' fault 'cause of that time he got drunk and she kidnapped and raped him. Cris says there's no way! But he agrees he doesn't want her to have an abortion. He's going to be there for her, and take care of the child…but if she thinks he's going to marry her, she's got another thing coming! And a great cheer goes up from the patio! However, since we weren't there to defend him, he got slapped in the face for saying that. She's busy flouncing off the balcony when she runs into Cande, who I'll never believe wasn't lying in wait to make this entrance. Cris gives Cande the news that Val is pregnant, but he tells her if she wants details--ask Val. Oh, I'm sure Val would give a truthful account…NOT! Cande ponders her impending grandmotherhood. I ponder whether this entire scene was set up to happen on the balcony just to for that last image of Cande rocking the full-on Evil Queen vibe with the braids and the collar and the lipstick.
No, Irma doesn't think Lola took the money. Uriel asks who else could have done it. Last time, it looked like Lardo was the one who stole money…since it can't have been him this time, maybe both times were Lola. And if her crime made Lardo look bad, he never wants to see her again. Long: Oh me of too much faith…Aldonza predictably freaks about Valeria being in Cristobal’s room late at night. She barely lets him speak as she chews him out, then hangs up on him. Val smirks in the hallway.
Lola calls Pato specifically to get on his case about Mari. He explains they’ve been friends since before she and Mari fought, but all Lola wants to know is if they talked about her. No Lola, the world does not revolve around you. Silvia thinks it’s a good sign: Lola’s jealous.
Idiot 2 (Lola) joins Idiot 1 (Aldonza) in her room. Aldonza tells Lola she shouldn’t get mad at Pato because they’re not actually dating and it’s exactly what Mari wants. She asks if she really loves Pato the way she loves Eman. Lola doesn’t want to talk about Eman. They switch to Aldi, who’s pissed about that lagartija(=lizard aka Valeria). Don’t get Lola started on the ecogido (=hunched) dinosaur. It’s good that I’m eating popcorn for dinner because this is obviously a middle school sleepover and not two grown ass women seriously trying to figure out their relationship problems.

Lo Imperdonable #32 Tue 6/30/15 Ana Perla Crashes the party
Bullets because doing back to back recaps is hard:
- Replay of Botel asking Nanci to leave because he does not want her to give Magdalena false hope.
- Magda is not happy about the way he treated Nanci but Botel tells her that getting her hopes up will only make it harder for her to recover.
- Magdalena decides that she is going to shower Veronica with all the love in that she can't give her daughter, Botel tells her that may not be a good idea and we all shout #shutupbotel!
- The old goat, I mean Crescinsio tells Ana Perla that he is going to marry her off to whomever he picks, cause this is 1875,yo.
- Ana Perla tells him he can't do such a thing but he's all like, "yes, I can, that's why I'm your grandfather"....so that's what grandparents do? Julio takes the whole scene in, sigh, he's perfect, right? I'm kinda wishing they could have cast him as a potential love intrest for Veronica, cause Santelmo is a jerk, speaking of Santelmo:

- We tune in to Mat&Faust fighting to death and Mat was just around to kill him but Elena screams that he is his Darth Vader( God damn it Mat if you plan to shoot Daddy Devil , SHOOT). The hurt Abi pulls Mat's gun down. Mat tells them all to leave except Fart and his dear mom. Renata merely threatens Faust to leave tomorrow cause he doesn't know what she's capable off ( She is only capable of long threats, like QTH even Mac has more balls.Marcelino least has a fried one) . Mat's look in the eyes is certainly not "Um hey Daddy haven't seen you for a long time how you've been?" which is quite redeemable.
- Daniela is flagging the story of depression, and suicide to Uncle Barry ( Of course Max hasn't left a suicide note , what a smart dude NOT. Well it's not like dead men can write) . She tells him that Porf became a different jealous man ever since the accident. Uncle Barry sucks it all in like a Hoover vacuum cleaner.
