Vino el Amor 11/29/16 Chapter 22: Where in the World is Sonia?

Some scenes have been combined.

El Pasado
Lilian and Gutierrez in bed. Euww, yuck, better to just close your eyes and listen to the Brit and the Anglo-Hispanic whisper sweet nothings (and nothing it is).
Fernanda and Friends and Margaritas. Tipsy, topsy, mopsies talk about unrequited love--Fer’s, that is.

El Presente
Patio denizens finally get the skinny on Tano’s mother. Ramón has been telling Tano he wants him to further his education, not because he isn’t proud of him, but he wants him to get ahead. Tano wants to send his mother some money because her birthday is coming soon and he hopes it doesn’t bother Ramón too much. He replies, that no, even though they ended it (terminaron—maybe it’s a euphemism for divorced) a long time ago, he thinks strong family ties are important and should be maintained. Tano adds that he is grateful to Marta for the affection she showed him growing up here and grateful to his dad for making sure he never lacked for anything.

Fer is staggering home in the full light of day. She stops by the fountain at the foot of the long drive up to the house to call Tano on her cell. He isn’t answering. She’s surely suffering from a hangover and is contentedly pissed. She leaves him a voice mail saying that she has something very important to tell him and if he doesn’t answer, she’ll just march (stagger) up to his house.

Vino el Amor 11/28/16 Chapter 21: Bad Girls Just Want to Have Fun

Lillian announced the theft of Lisa's earrings and that all employees' possessions would be searched. As she did so she and the younger vitches all stared at Luciana while Marta and Susan looked around in disbelief.
Graciela was congratulating Fernanda, who wasn't entirely alright with this. She got up to go to tell her father the truth. Graciela stopped her before she could leave the room. Fernanda was concerned at how this would hurt Marta, whom she loved. [Does this girl have redeeming qualities after all? ¡Que sorpresa!] Graciela said “Sometimes we have to do things that aren't so good. When you have an objective everything is worth it. What we want is for Luciana to get out of here. Yes or no?.”

Vino el Amor 11/23/16: # 19 “Deceits, Disappointments, and Acknowledgements”

Tonight's episode is brought to you by Cynthia. Enjoy!

Well there’s a party going on, everyone is slow dancing and swaying to the music, including Luciana and Miguel. Mig keeps telling her how much he loves and enjoys being with her. We also see Sonia dancing by herself in the background, really looking goofy because she is somewhat buzzed. All of a sudden David walks up and in a gruff sounding voice calls for Luciana! Well that killed the party mood and Leon walks over to the CD player and turns it off. Then Sonia comes stumbling forward in her obviously drunken mode to say: “Senor, I SWEAR to you that I didn’t want to! But they convinced me to dance. Please forgive me.” (She hangs her head in shame. What a silly girl.)  They all explain that this was just to relax after finding out that the vineyard was not going to be sold. David tells them it is okay and to go on with their party. But tomorrow he wants everyone available to give their 100%. Miguel assures them that the crew will be there all giving 100%. Then he says to Luciana that he wants to speak with her. She says no, she will talk to him during working hours tomorrow. David finally leaves and excuses himself. Susan and Miguel come running up wanting to know what he said to Luciana. She just tells them that she didn’t know and that she told him to talk to her tomorrow during regular working hours. Luciana tells Miguel she is not going to let anything ruin this night. Miguel and Luciana go back to dancing.

  • Lucia is lost in thought, reading  a letter she has written to explain to David that she's confused.
  • Gracie and David discuss their new partnership and Liliana and Gracie "greet" each other.
This episode (some scenes combined):
  • Susan makes some phone calls to the place that sold the evil acid that infected the vineyard crop, to try and learn who the buyer was. The evil acid place stonewalls her, citing confidentiality of its clients.
  • Fer is so happy to see Gracie is home. Bobby and Liliana? Not so much. Gracie says she is staying in a hotel, but David insists that she stay at his house, saying our home is your home. Gracie is pleased. Liliana is most certainly not.

This episode is by Sonia, who did this one by accident, so I get this week off.

Family outing time!! But Fernanda isn’t going if Luciana is. Luciana graciously offers not to go so that David can spend with time with his kids. But then David isn’t having that.

Meanwhile, Carito is dreading going on a date with Leon. Perla encourages her to have. “Let him buy you something nice. The whole point is that Miguel sees you having fun”. So as soon as Miguel walks into the room, Carito gets her head in the game. And off they go!

Vino el Amor 11/18/16 Chapter 16: They kissed and then it was Gone With the Wind

(Some scenes have been combined.)

David and Luciana have begun their mating dance. They have been talking about their shared love of the land and their mutual admiration for Marcos. He always talked about David and that made Luci really want to see him again. In fact, she kept the receipt for the gift they gave him on his birthday, the day they were deported, but obviously it didn’t mean much to him. She saw him put aside inside a box. David replies that the gesture did not mean it didn’t mean anything to him.

He places his hands on her arms and gets close saying that she changed him, changed his whole way of being, of thinking, of feeling. Being so young, Luci says, is he serious, all while keeping her eyes on him. He replies that he doesn’t understand what exactly is happening, but yes, it’s true. She asks for two hours of his time, so she can show him something. They plan to meet by the pergola later on.

Buenas dias, amigos!  This morning we welcome Sonia, our Thursday recapper for this series.  Please give her a warm Caray Caray Bienvenido and enjoy her humourous take on the shenanigans in Sonoma Valley:

Well, friends, this was quite an episode.

Let’s dig in!

Fernanda goes over the Luciana’s house and starts insulting by calling her the z-word. Perla and Carito stand in the background snickering enjoying the show.
Fernanda throws a “You will never replace my mother” at Luciana for good measure. Okkkaaayyyyyyy Fer, simmer down.  Also, you are being manipulated by your evil grandmother!! Go focus on something that isn’t your father’s supposed love life.

  • Carlos/Tano is apparently crushing on Susan and tells her this but also tells her he thought she only liked professional men. She gets mad he judged her as a snooty type. Awkward.
  • Fueled by the awkward situations above, Fernanda officially joins the I Hate Luciana Sooooo Much club after hanging with Liliana and skype sessions with Gracie.  She visits the worker house to tell Luciana this! Awkward!

A que no me dejas Episode 40 (11.4.16) The Tarot cards never lie. Funny. Everybody else does.

Happy day of the dead! (belated)

We start this episode with Nuria's wedding. She finally chose a dress with a slit in the back to get more room and expand since her belly was getting bigger and bigger every day. So much it grew, that by the time they signed the marriage contract her whole back was exposed.

Raquel, very loud so Gonzalo can hear, tells Alfonso that she has never seen Inés this happy now that she is getting divorced. Gonzalo's blood is probably boiling and as soon as Gastón leaves Inés alone to use the bathroom, he follows him to threat him, telling him that as long as he keeps close to his wife, he will never sign the divorce papers.
-I know your intentions, get away from Inés or else!
-She is not your wife anymore- replies MacDreamy.
-I am your worst enemy. I can end your career.
-I am not afraid of you.
-I am not repeating myself, sí me entiendes, verdad? Get away from my wife!
-She is no longer yours, face it!

Outside in the ballroom, Little Mau gets all the attention and Nuria gets jealous. Why am I not surprised? She takes Leonel's hand and goes to dance, while Paulina takes the little boy and start another dance group with Camilo somewhere else.

A Que No Me Dejas #38: Julieta Can't Keep Her Hands to Herself

Alan and Rene are ecstatic about the wedding news. They hug and kiss Gonzalo, happy that they will finally be a family.

Karen is telling Paulina about how wonderful Flavio is. He’s always checking up on her and has helped her with her suppliers. Paulina finds her sudden dependence on him strange since she’s always been very independent but Karen argues that it feels great to feel like you have someone with you every step of the way. Paulina is happy for her and Karen tells her she’s happy she’s also given Camilo an opportunity.

Alan asks Gonzalo if there are all going to live in the same house and Gonzalo tells them that that’s the idea but things are going to change. Firstly, they have to leave Puerto Esperanza. Gonzalo wants to construct a new hotel in Chetumal so he wants them there every step of the way.

Gisela and Dario give Jaime the news that they’re moving in together but he has to fake his smile and happiness. He tells Gisela that he didn’t know this side of her but he’s been surprised. Gisela tells him that she doesn’t believe in marriage but things could change; she’s happy just to be with Dario for now.

Gonzalo explains that in Puerto Esperanza they will always be judged for being his second family and Alan tells him he’s more than happy to move. He would love to see a hotel from the ground up. Rene is sad though because he won’t see his friends anymore, including Paulina and Mauricio. Gonzalo offers a deal: they can visit when he comes over to Puerto Esperanza and the kids agree.

A que no me dejas Episode 35 (10.28.16) Lies and the lying liars who lie until the truth arrives... all of them fall together.

Is all Elián González again when the DIF's (Family whole development or Desarrollo integral de la familia in spanish) social worker comes to take little Mau with her considering the Murats unfit to raise him.

Little Mau cries
Inés cries
Paulina cries
Chelo cries
Bertho bites his lips but is crying inside
Mica is also crying in the kitchen, but since she is chopping onions, I am not sure why

Gastón also cries silent tears while pleading to at least accompany the boy until he reaches the DIF offices because of his disability and his need for comfort (and translation).

All is denied. Looks like the social worker is deafer than little Mau and doesn't understand any reasoning. For her, is all black or white. No shades of gray. She assures them she can not leave the boy with this family, and once he is taken, they will never see him again because another family will adopt him. Once little Mau enters the DIF headquarters, none of the Murats will be taken into consideration for adopting him.

A Que No Me Dejas - Thursday 10/27/16 #34 Keep your friends close but your enemies even closer!

Al punches Gonzo several times  while in the office Leo finds out that certain files for the south hotels are being given to Camilo to handle which displeases Leo.  He expresses his displeasure to the secretary who says it's not my idea, so take it to the boss.   Right then an employee comes into to tell Leo that Al is kicking the Gonz's ass right outside.

Back outside, Camilo having watched his papa deliver twenty or so blows by now, pulls him off Gonz.  Al tells Camilo to let him go, he's not done and wants to finish ripping off the face of the damn traitor!  Gonz asks how Al could have done that? Have you lost your mind?  Al wants to know how Gonz could have betrayed him after Al has called him his friend and compadre!  He thought they were friends!  Gonz has no idea what Al is accusing him of.  Oh no?  I’m talking about you telling Ines that Monica was my lover and not yours.  You did that without thinking that Ines could have told my wife and blown up my marriage.  You blamed me you coward, but it came to light and now I’m never going to forgive you for this, never!    Gonz says they are two civilized men and they can discuss this in private where he doesn't have to be humiliated by the ass kicking in front of his employees.  Al isn't having it, they've got nothing to discuss and especially not when his son was made to think it was him (Al) who was having the affair with Monica.  Al says he wasn't the one who betrayed the friendship or broke the confidence, he was faithful but in exchange all he got was a kick in the teeth so you could save your image.  Gonz says it's not like that and if Al would listen he would understand.  Al says the advantage of knowing Gonz so well is that he knows for certain he can't trust a word that comes out of his mouth and so now they're done. Gonz can deal with his miserable conscience!    Gonz begs Al as he leaves but it's no use.  Gonz sends a few employees after Al, while he tells the rest of the onlookers not to repeat a word of what they just witnessed and the first person he finds out is gossiping, will be FIRED! Now get back to work, nothing to see here folks! (except my beaten ass)   Leo suck up that he is asks if Gonz needs a nurse? Or do you want to see about us taking reprisals against Al?   No! That man is like my brother he says and storms off.   Wow what a fight the bosses had! Leo says yeah, and it's going to work to my advantage.  How?  Leo says because now with the boss on the outs with his bestie, who better than me to now be his right hand man.

A Que No Me Dejas (AQNMD) #32. Tuesday October 25, 2016. Discussion Page + Episode Highlights

Hiya Patio Pals! It doesn’t look like we’ll be getting a recap from Princess Juju today, so here’s a space for those of you who wish to discuss Tuesday’s episode. I haven’t watched it yet and won’t be able to do so right now because it’s 1 am my time. Apologies to all. If any of you is able to volunteer some episode highlights that’d be greatly appreciated. Cheers, everyone. Good night.

Our friend Alfredo, a.k.a Superalfie, has kindly provided the following highlights:

-- Gonzalo talked to Eulate Morales, the crooked bank guy, about giving the documents to Julieta and threatened him with jail time because he suggested he deposited the money offshore in the original “fraud”.

-- Leonel convinced Nuria not to be too hard on The Gonz about his double life. It is best to take her father’s side because it would benefit her and Leonel in their rise to power within the hotel consortium.

Vino el Amor -- Gran Estreno 10/25/2016 Chapter 1: Divide and Destroy

Chapter 1: Divide and Destroy

On a beautiful sunny afternoon in the vast wine country that is southern California two kids raced through the paths of the vineyard, promising that the later one at the finish line buys the candy. At another spot in the vineyard the girl's father stacked boxes of red grapes while her mother and brother came out to talk to him about going somewhere the next afternoon.

Marcos was a tall man in his forties with a direct and honest face. His fair complexion and dark hair insured his attractiveness and complemented his ease with people. His wife Marta was fairer still, with dark golden hair. They were a happy couple and good parents to Luciana and León. The boy was about eight years old, playful and intelligent.

A Que No Me Dejas (AQNMD) #31. Monday October 24, 2016. Papá Don’t P...Reach For The Gun!

(Cara de) Well, this explains the cray-cray!

At a glance

-- Adrián’s sainted Pops was never a saint! Bazinga!

-- Mr. Peanut Butter & Slime learns that he has been officially designated as Nuria’s baby daddy! Bazinga!

A closer look

At the beach of silent love and thwarted reconciliation, Paulina had a full two minutes to tell Adrián that she is carrying his unibrow baby but she squandered the precious time talking about the kiss she shared with Camilo and “omitted” to mention. Adrián doesn’t want to hear her anymore: You are dead to me! Shouting out: “I’m pregnant!” would’ve shut Adrián right up but it’s more aesthetically-pleasing to squeeze out a few pretty tears by the seashore while an adorable blond cherub consoles you.

Tres Veces Ana - # 122 - El Gran Final! Or they packed their overstuffed suitcases hastily and lived happily ever after!

Alas, all good (albeit slightly drawn out and convoluted at times) things must come to an end. Julie and I tag-teamed this one and it's below in two installments.

For my part I want to say that it has been an absolute pleasure to recap alongside such a wonderful talented team, and discuss along with such bright, insightful, imaginative and entertaining group of folks. You guys are the best. Thank you so much for making this a fabulous fantastic ride!

Part I (Julie)

Everyone's come home from Facundo's cabin. AnaLet is missing. Ernestina is worried, but doesn't want them to keep anything from her.

Up in AnaLet's room, Leonor shows Mariano the blood-soaked dress (bosom bandage, per Jardinera) that AnaLet left behind. Just then, Mariano receives word that Claudia... "what?" Mariano asks his lawyer Samuel.

Ghoulieta receives a large envelope with a note from Inaki: "Here is the truth about the death of your son, Daniel." It's a tablet, with Inaki's confession ready to play. Ghoul and Viridiana watch, horrified, as Inaki says he killed Daniel out of spite for all that Daniel had and Inaki didn't.

Ines wants Elisa to leave. She’s not feeling well but Elisa keeps egging her on about how Gonzalo lied about divorcing Ines and marrying Monica and went so far as lying about her health. Ines wants Elisa to leave and she finally agrees. As she is leaving, Paulina comes in and asks what she’s doing there. Suddenly, Ines faints and hits the ground. Paulina goes to help her and Elisa runs out.

Adrian asks who came by and Odette tells him it was Paulina. He asks what she wanted and she tells she doesn’t know but it doesn’t do him good to see her. Adrian tells her she’s reminding her of his sister: she’s obsessive about him. Adrian tells her to never again decide for him or meddle in his life. He leaves, bothered by her actions.

The doctor tells Julieta that if she goes to therapy and behaves well she can get out faster. He left her and Adrian alone…he stopped living after he lost all his money.

In his office, Adrian questions why Paulina came. He gives her a call but hangs up immediately. He thinks she’s with Camilo.

Is everyone ready? Set...Go! And our star of the show deserves an extra collage today for her psychotic craziness, as well as Ms. Boyer deserves this for stellar interpretation.

Welcome to Gotham City and prepare to be silenced, lambs.....

(Some consolidation below...)

Ana Le manages to convince her sisters that she was very hurt by their behavior. She knows they came again only to break her heart. Llora, who already had a whip on the ready to beat herself up over such cruel treatment of Ana Le, needed no further convincing and even Ana Lu was moved. They all want to talk. Ana Le wants to start with the fact that she did not have anything to do with Marcelo’s accident – it was all Evaristo. She – Ana Le – was heartbroken when Marcelo supposedly died and Llora is a witness of that. Ana Lu does remember that Marcelo’s accident happened on the same day that he found Soledad, and Ana Le grabs onto this lifeline for her lie. With shifty eyes she repeats again how deep her love for Marcelo was and drops the bomb of the miscarriage.

Tres Veces Ana #118 - Por Fin, Proof Under the Hot Tin Roof

Color Guide:
Rehash and Recall in Red
Reader Reaction in Blue
Avances in Green
Aside in Purple

Rehash: Valentin is still recounting the tale behind Gina's death. Gina's attempting to convince AnaLet that nobody knows about her relationship with her uncle. AnaLet throws the bottles at Gina expecting her to swallow each pill.

Ramiro interrupts this scheduled flashback to bring us his unasked opinion. He thinks eureka, it was AnaLet! Tin has attained omnipatience, and calmly answers that no, he had intervened. And at this, we see the tranformer disassemble from his wheels, into a two-legged mop.

Do you wanna hear a bedtime story?

We're sucked into a flashion-back and zoom unto some legs. AnaLet and Gina are both wearing suede heels with an ankle strap. Our next model down the runway is wearing kicks, and apparently he brought boinks as an accessory, because down our first model goes. He gives our second model an over-the-shoulder look, in only the way someone of Charlize Theron's caliber could.

Tres Veces Ana, #117, Monday Oct 17, 2016: Three's a Crowd

Ramiro wakes up and is surprised to see Valentin and Facundo. He's even more surprised to realize that he can't feel his legs. Valentin laughs and says bwahahaha, before you marry Ana Laura you ought to see for yourself what it is to be "differently-abled."

AnaLu and Ana Laura are chatting intensely when AnaLet barges in, strikes a pose, and demands, "why are you suddenly all quiet? Am I interrupting something?" Ana Laura solemnly lets Leticia know that yes, she is interrupting. AnaLet asks what they were talking about. AnaLu smiles and says, "about you." Leticia continues to stand there like a department store mannequin.

Mariano asks Marcelo to leave, but Marcelo doesn't want to leave without AnaLu. He warns that AnaLet could have an attack of hysteria at any moment, and since he's signed the divorce papers, she's no longer Marcelo's problem. AnaLu's love is all he wants in the world, and he won't give her up.

Valentin gloats some more about Ramiro's paralysis, "your legs have become a burden," and says he and Ramiro will now be on equal footing (no he didn't say it that way) in their fight for Ana Laura's affection, though I don't think it's really a fair competition unless Ramiro drinks a fifth of tequila too.

Tres Veces Ana 116: Facundo Hires Dr. Demento and Two Halves Are Whole

Working on the recap - Edit.

Pate 1~~

[--This, Halloween and Rocky Horror Picture Show fans, was right up your alley.  It was definitely one to say “Get your freak show on.”—edit.]

Refridito: Alone in her jail cell, a pensive Soledad misses and mourns her wrecked relationship with Ana Lucia and recognizes, finally, how selfish she was to have kept the girl as her own all these years; Ana Lucia, meanwhile is having another nightmare, but this time she dreams of the accident and awakes to the realization Ana Leticia didn’t try to help keep her from floating away in the river.  (Now, let’s see if it sticks in her craw or not like it does Viewerville.)

El Nuevo:
